(02:50):
news from around the globe. Allof that is there for your consumption.
We're going to begin with a somewhatcontroversial topic here, especially if you were
inked, especially if you had tatsor a tat. It doesn't matter.
Size doesn't matter here. If you'vegot one tat or a lot of tats,

(03:13):
researchers are saying you are at greaterrisk of lymphoma, which is a
form of cancer. Now I'm goingto disclose to you from the outset about
my status or the lack thereof, related to tattoos. I don't have a
singular tattoo on my body. I'mnot bragging or complaining, and I think

(03:36):
people should have the ability to choosewhether they're going to make their canvas inked
or tatted or not. It's fine. I'm fine with tattoos on someone else,
just not me, So just understandthat. But I'm here to report

(03:57):
the news. The news is notgood for people who have tattoos, and
size doesn't matter. New research raisesconcerns about possible toxic ink ingredients that tattoos
you've been dreaming of to express yourindividuality. They could become at a great

(04:19):
price to your precious health, andI hope not. A new study finds
that the ink used in creating popularbody art contains toxic ingredients linked to a
higher risk of lymphoma cancer that beginsin germ fighting lymphatic system. We have

(04:40):
more lymphatic fluid in our body, folks that we do blood, and you
don't want lymphoma cancer, And havingjust a single tattoo seems to raise the
risk of odds. You know, obviously, the more toxicity you get,
the worse off you are. Butone a single dose of a toxic inked

(05:01):
tat could set things in motion. It's not me saying this now. Tattoos,
of course, have grown increasingly popularas a means of self expression.
Around thirty two percent of Americans haveat least one tattoo, and an estimated
twenty two percent have multiple tattoos. However, as tattoos become more widespread,

(05:28):
so too has the incidence of malignantlymphoma. According to the researchers, cancer
increasing three percent to four percent overthe past forty years. Recent research from
Lundon University in Sweden, published inthe Lancet's E Clinical Medicine suggests a potential
connection between the toxic inks on thesetattoos and the rise in lymphoma. The

(05:55):
study analyzed data from nearly twelve thousandpeople between the ages of twelve, twenty
and sixty years of age, matchedwith control group of the same age and
sex without lymphoma. Participants completed questionnairesabout lifestyle factors, including tattoos. Researchers

(06:15):
found that those with tattoos were morelikely to develop malignant lymphoma cancer compared to
those without tattoos. People with tattooshad a twenty one percent higher risk of
developing any type of lymphoma after adjustingfor other factors. The lymphoma risk was

(06:38):
highest eighty one percent higher for thosewho got their first tattoo less than two
years before being diagnosed. The riskdecreased for those who had gotten their tattoos
between three to ten years ago,but increased again nineteen percent higher for those

(06:58):
who had gotten their first tattoo elevenor more years ago. Are you keeping
this straight? If you're tatted oryou're inked, and size doesn't matter.
Apparently, a larger tattoo size didnot seem to increase the risk. Further
over, eighty percent of tattoo inkcontains unlisted unlisted substances that can cause organ

(07:25):
damage, allergies, and the listgoes on. According to the study,
one of the lead researchers said toI quote, we did not know yet
why this was the case, saidCrystal Nielsen, who led the study.
Take it a press release. Onecan onways speculate that a tattoo, regardless

(07:46):
of side size, triggers a lowgrade inflammation in the body, which can
true which can in turn trigger cancer. There's the smoking gun. You put
another toxin on an already burdened system, perhaps an ink tox and that we
know little or nothing about these ingredientsbecause they don't list them, and it
could create inflammation which can generate orcause the genesis of that cancer to take

(08:13):
off. Now, the research isthe first to investigate tattoos as a risk
factor for cancer in the lymphatic system. Further studies investigating potential risk between tattoos
and other types of cancer is underwayright now, but growing evidence for tattoo
related cancer risks. That's what's goingon. The researchers. This doctor Nielsen

(08:35):
went on to say, and Iquote, we know that tattoo ink often
contains hazardous chemicals and that it isdeposited in lymph nodes. And she was
in an interview not long ago withEpoch Times in discussing this, in talking

(08:58):
about the toxicity in many of thesetattoo inks that are being used, because
a lot of them, over eightypercent of them, according to the researchers,
eighty percent of these tattoo inks containunlisted substances that can cause damage allergic

(09:22):
reactions. And I know a lotof people saying, well, I've had
a lot of tats. I've neverhad any allergic reaction. I'm just fine.
Well, look it's the delayed reaction. It may take a while based
on what I'm reading here, thetoxicity of that substance which is not of
man, which is not of nature, which is some type of chemical that

(09:43):
your body is going to recognize asforeign. It's like having a splinter rolling
through your body in a chemical form, in a liquid form, and your
body's seeing this chemical, this foreignobject, this foreign substance which ought not
be in your body as something thatit doesn't like because it's irritating, it's

(10:07):
grinding away, and it's that verygrind biochemically on your system. That may
be the match that lights the fireof inflammation that sets into motion the increase
of this form of lymphatic cancer, lymphoma that the researchers are talking about here.

(10:33):
So this is a call. Ifyou have the inclination of getting a
tattoo in the future, this issomething to consider. I don't. And
if you have tattoos already, youmay want to start doing some detox programs,
some fasting, some clean slate, eating, a better diet, all
of that, sweating, all ofthat to get it out of your system.

(10:54):
We'll be right back. I'm doctorBob Martin. Well hopefully natural medicine
when applicable. Welcome back to thishour of the Doctor Bob Martin Show,

(11:18):
Ladies and gentlemen, and again thankyou for tuning into the program. And

(11:39):
to call on in behalf of that'sfine. Our toll free number nationwide is
eight hundred and six zero six eightyeight twenty two. Eight hundred and six
zero six eighty eight twenty two.And remember, the only bad health question
is the one you're not asking,So call that number and tell doctor Bob
where it hurts already eight hundred andsix zero six eighty eight twenty two.

(12:03):
Of course, the website doctor Bobdot com. Now, this week's health
alternative of the week is going tobe interesting, and we're going to get
to it momentarily here. But itreally ties into something that I dealt with
in our number. Let's see,it would be our number one of the

(12:24):
show, or it could be ournumber two. It's a blur to me
already, No, it's our numberone. It had to do with cholesterol
and how the American Heart Association isnow suggesting a lot fewer Americans need to
take these cholesterol lowering statin drugs, almost half, almost half. Can you

(12:48):
imagine that? Just literally overnight boom, just like that, magically they do
some recalculation at the American Heart Associationsaying, uh, for thirty seven years,
we've had these drugs on the market, and almost half of the people
taking them shouldn't have been taking themaccording to our new calculations. Let's get

(13:09):
this reinstituted. Well, folks,I get it. Medicine is far from
perfect. It is an inexact artand philosophy based on scientific principles, but
very limited in its ability to reallyfigure things out. And this is proving
it once again. So we're tyingthe first hour of the show, and

(13:33):
if you missed that segment about statindrugs, you'll want to get into my
podcast library over at doctor Bob dotcom. That would be our number one
or no, no, I'm sorry, our number two, hour number two
where I talked about statin drugs.Get into that and listen to it,

(13:54):
and it ties right into this week'sHealth Alternative of the Week. Here we
go. Now, the reason itties into the Health Alternative of the week
is because this sort of helps peopleto understand that there are options for people

(14:18):
who have cholesterol issues, who wantto manage your cholesterol within normal limits,
or have problems with taking these statindrugs. The statin drugs have so many
adverse side effects unbelievable. You readthem from liver damage to muscle damage,
to nerve damage to bringing damage todiabetes risk. It increases that increases the

(14:41):
risk of cancertaining these statin drugs. And yet from here we go American Art
Association where recalculating about half of thepeople taking them I ought not be taking
them well. The Health Alternative ofthe Week kind of addresses this topic,
and it's a Quinella this time.Yes, you need to eat rite and

(15:01):
stay away from the standard American dietthat's high inflammatory which causes your body to
make too much cholesterol. And getthat exercise program going, lower your stress,
don't smoke cigarettes, chill more often, etc. And know that there
are a couple of supplements that canhelp you to better manage excessive lipids.
If that's what's going on with you. The best diet to support your cholesterol

(15:26):
is one that is in low processedfoods and refined foods like sugar, refined
carbohydrates, not the complex ones, and rich. Your diet should be rich
in colorful vegetables and healthy fats asopposed to unhealthy fats. We're talking about
healthy fats like cold pressed extra virginolive oil and avocado oil and coconut oil.

(15:52):
And if you want to use yes, you can use organic butter or
ghee. Those are all good andusing in your diet. Making sure you're
getting plenty of quality lean protein, nut seeds, all of that. Stay
away from sugar. That will helpyou reduce your heart disease risk. Staying
away from sugar. That's a hugerisk factor for people with heart disease and

(16:18):
high cholesterol. And in addition toadopting a healthy lifestyle including diet the health
alternatives of the week, it's aquinella. Have you heard of? Modu
cholest mogicoal moduic call from Wakhanaga suppliesone point three grams of plant sterols and

(16:42):
sterile esters that compete with dietary cholesterol. Modu call, that's the supplement from
Wakunaga is consumed with your food.Us cholesterol is absorbed by the small intestine,

(17:03):
thus lowering harmful LDL cholesterol. Andthat is the one, of course,
the smoking gun that everybody worries about. Modu calldu cho L Modu called
the first half of this week's healthAlternative of the Week quinella. Here for

(17:23):
people who are concerned about lipids, they're lipid panels their cholesterol. That's Leg
number one. Also Leg number twobecause it's a quinella. You want to
look at Formula one oh nine. It's called Formula one oh nine blood pressure

(17:45):
from Kyola garlic containing four hundred milligramsof H garlic extract, best selling odorless
H garlic extract. Along with andhere are some of the magic things that
help with the lipids in the bodywhen they're in excess. And that is
nato kinase, an enzyme extracted fromnato a fermented soil. And in this
Formula one oh nine blood pressure fromkyolic they've got L three andine, which

(18:11):
is really a nutrient found of greentea. And clinical studies for each of
these ingredients have shown to support healthyblood pressure levels, and so many people
who have blood pressure issues also havelipid issues as well. Both Formula one
oh nine blood pressure and Module callcall short for cholesterol have a proven track

(18:34):
record in supporting overall cardiovascular health. They're free of dairy, free of gluten,
free of animal derivatives, artificial colors, preservatives, and sugar. Of
course, none of that exists inthese two formulas which are phenomenal to address
people's concerns over lipids. Formula oneoh nine from Chiolic and Modu you call.

(19:02):
This is a dietary lifestyle that willreduce cholesterol, inflammation and oxidation,
helping to you to support healthy bloodpressure and reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease.
Both of these formulas in this week'sHealth Alternative of the Week, which
turns into a quinela. You gettwo formulas that ought to be looked at,

(19:26):
or at least considered with people whohave these kinds of challenges with cholesterol
and or blood pressure. Both ofthese formulas are found in finer health food
stores nationwide. You can also findthem at natural grocers stores nationwide, natural
grocery stores, and if you don'thave a natural grocery store in your neighborhood,

The Health Alternative of the Week isModu Call and Formula one oh nine blood
pressure from Kyola Garlic. All right, coming up at the bottom of the

(20:07):
hour, we're going to have foryou this week's installment of the Health Outrage
of the week, and that'll befollowed by the product recall of the week.

(20:30):
your phone calls. Get on theair with your health related questions or comments,
and if you've got one and youwant to lay it down, happy
to accept it. That number.Eight hundred six zero six eighty eight twenty
two. Eight hundred six zero sixeighty eight twenty two the website doctor bob
dot com spelling out the word doctor. All right, we're coming right back

(20:51):
with the health outrage of the week. I'm doctor Bob Martin. Everybody's got
fame mistakes, but everybody's got achoice to make. Everybody needs a leap
of faith. When are you takingyours money? You in? Well,

(21:14):

telling other people about this show sothey can have the opportunity to tune into
the program. And the easiest andbest and most efficient way to do that
is to jot down the call lettersof the station that you're listening to right

(21:34):
now. If you think this showis important and could help others, help
us spread the word. Call lettersof the station you're listening to right now
and you'll be able to hear thatduring the breaks, the frequency on the

(21:57):
We grow, you grow in thethanks that you get from others by
referring him over to the show andthen benefiting by it and then coming back
to you. Cast your bread uponthe water. It's what it's all about,
folks, and it'll come back inspades, and we thank you for
that. All Right, Shortly,we're going to get to this week's health

(22:19):
alternative up the week, but firstI want to remind you that your oral
cavity is important to you on somany levels, and we kind of covered
that in our number one with ourspecial guest, Doctor Ross Pelton, pharmacist,
nutritionist and author of thirteen books. He described as a practicing and learned

(22:41):
individual in the area of pharmacy andnutrition. He talked about the oral cavity.
How important the oral cavity is toyour oral health and to your overall
health. He knows this as anexpert, and so do I. So
it's important to consider the key tooral health, and to me, the

(23:03):
key to oral health, good excellentooral health is knowing about the Spry dental
defense system, something that I've beenusing personally in my family and my colleagues
for over twenty years. Look,it's a bummer when you have tooth decay,
ginge of witish you're dealing with,or periodontal disease, or bad breath.
It all means something. It meanssomething's out of balance. And yet

(23:27):
people are out there using all thesecommercial toxic toothpaste and mouthwash with all these
chemicals that they cannot pronounce or understand. They're three four, five, six
syllables long. I don't care ifit's Colgate, Crest, Theobrand, Sensindine,

(23:47):
rem Brand, it doesn't matter. They're all full of junk. The
one I use is Spry Spry toothpasteand Spry mouth rents, and they also
have gum and mints, and Spryis spelled Spry. I don't know about
you, but I get uptight justthinking about visiting my dental provider. I
like my dental hygienist and my dentist. They do great work, but I

(24:11):
don't want to go there on acrisis basis. I want them to peer
into my mouth on a maintenance leveland say, Wow, things are going
really good for you, doctor Bob. What are you doing? And I
always remind them I'm using the Sprydental defense system. The tooth based the
mouthwash comes in various flavors, peppermint, cinnamon, spearman, You're gonna love
it, used by millions of people. The plant based ingredient in Spry is

(24:38):
the secret sauce that makes the germs, the Streptococcus mutans not stick and if
they go to digest it, theydie the germs and they leave the oral
cavity. You win. It's anticavity, anti plaque, anti bad news.
The next time you're sitting in thatdental chair and the dental hygienis goes

(24:59):
in there and looks a your mouth, your oral cavity, or your dentist
looks in there, you don't wantthem whispering anything along the lines of time
for a filling. You've got atooth a k there or time for a
root canal, time for a crown, time for an extraction? Out No,
get the Spry Dental Defense System.Easy to use, inexpensive and it
will help you clean your teeth. You will love it and you will buy

(25:22):
hygienically ahead of the game, justlike old doctor Bob and his family are
my colleagues. Spry Dental Defense isavailable at CBS and Rite Aid Pharmacies,
Target, Vitamin Chops, Sprouts, all natural grocery stores. You can also
look up more information on their websiteat Clear dot com, x L e

(25:47):
a r dot com, Clear dotcom for Spry tooth based mouth rents,
mints and goms, the Spry DentalDefense System. All right, it is
time now, ladies and gentlemen forthe health outrage of the week. Don't

(26:11):
come on each time for the healthoutbridge because it's nothing, but it is
outrageous and I'm here to tell youall about it. The Department of Justice
telehealth fraud related to the drug AdderallThat's what I'm talking about here. The

(26:33):
CEO and clinical president of telehealth startupDone that's what its name is, Done
have been arrested and charged with fraud. Accused by federal authorities of participating in
a scheme to distribute Adderall online throughthis telemap telehealth marketing fraud scheme out there.

(27:02):
These are doctors who are pushing outthe door for profitability and greed Adderall,
which is used too much anyway.Doctor Ruthea He, the founder and
CEO of Don Global, was arrestedThursday in Los Angeles and doctor David Brody,
the clinical president of dun Health doany Health, was arrested in San

(27:26):
Rafael, California. The Department ofJustice reported both of them are medical doctors.
The two executives were charged with conspiringto commit health care fraud in connection
with the submission of false and fraudulentclaims for reimbursement of the drug Adderall and
other stimulants. If convicted, doctorHe and Brody, both medical doctors mds,

(27:53):
will face each a maximum penalty oftwenty years in prison on the conspiracy
to distribute controlled substances and distribute distributionof controlled substances counts. According to the
Department of Justice. The company DoneMarketing Itself has a membership based platform that

(28:14):
connects patients seeking treatment for attention deficithyperactive disorder ADHD with qualified clinicians. In
other words, you know, peddlingdrugs in a tele health manner. In
other words, you don't have tohave that doctor touch you. You just
talked to him on the phone. They ask you some symptoms. Oh yeah,

(28:37):
you got HD, you got addyou got ADHD, you got this,
you got that. Okay, I'mready to prescribe. How much do
you want? How often do youwant it? According to the Department of
Justice, doctor he MD and doctorBrody MD arranged the prescription of forty million
pills of the drug adderall, usedto treat attention that was a hyperactive disorder,

(29:00):
as well as other stimulus, generatingmore than ready for this, generating
more than one million dollars in revenue. As alleged, these defendants exploited the
COVID nineteen pandemic to develop and carryout a one hundred million dollar scheme to
defraud taxpayers and provide easy access toAdderall and other stimulants for no legitimate medical

(29:25):
purpose. According to Attorney General MerrickGarland, man, I'm glad these drug
pushers got caught. I am soglad they got caught. They should throw
them in jail and throw away thekey and go after. Other people were
doing these telehealth schemes as well.We don't need more drugs, We need

(29:48):
less drugs. That's the reality, and that's why it qualified as the health
outrage of the week. I'm doctorBob Martin. You happen to be tuned

(30:14):
into the Doctor Bob Martin Show.Thank you for that. All right,
we move right into the product recallof the week. Here we go a
seasoning recall update. As the FDAsets more severe level the food. Your
Administration has issued its most severe typeof food recall after Newlywed's Food and Carry,

(30:42):
Inc. Notify the agency that severalof their seasoning products might have been
connaminated contaminated with Salomonela. Newlywed Foods, a Chicago based company, initiated the
ongoing recall, informing the FDA thatfoighty five pounds of its steak and burger

(31:02):
seasoning products could have potentially registered thepresence of the dangerous bacteria Salomonella. Wisconsin
headquartered Carry Ink informed the agency thatseveral of its seasoning products might have been
contaminated as well with salmonella. Theproducts were distributed in the states of Florida,
Illinois, Texas, Arizona, California, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois,

(31:26):
Kansas, and Maryland, as wellas Canada. All of these products are
now affected by an ongoing Class onerecall, which indicates the reasonable probability that
the use or exposure to this foodwill cause serious adverse health consequences or death,
according to the FDA. So ifyou are using any of these seasonings

(31:52):
from newlywed foods or carry ink foodseasonings, you might want to take that
back or contact the company. Youdon't want to get ill. We don't
want you to get ill. Andthat's the product recall of the week.
All right, let's get right backto your telephone calls and questions. Next
up, we say hello to Kelly, who's going in from Iowa City,

(32:15):
Iowa. My name is Kelly fromIowa City, Iowa. I want to
know what you guys think about thesurgeries or the light lass surgeries, the
sleeve and the bypass. What areyour guys's recommendations at any Thank you?
Okay, thank you Kelly for yourphone call. First and foremost, I

(32:36):
know enough about stomach bypass surgery andstomach sleeve surgery to be dangerous. But
what I can tell you are thefollowing things that I do know, and
that is these are interesting sort oflike factoids about it. University of Pittsburgh
two times married or divorced within fiveyears of getting bare beiatric surgery. Here's

(33:00):
what they found. People who wereoverweight who got bypass surgery some type of
geriatric surgery, they modified their stomachso that they wouldn't eat so much and
gain so much weight and lose weight. If they were unmarried at the time
that they got a bariatric surgery, they were two times more likely to get

(33:24):
married within the next five years, twice as likely to get married in the
next five years if they had bariatricsurgery and they were really really overweight,
whereas people who got the bariatric surgerywhen they were married were two times more

(33:45):
likely to be divorced as a resultof getting the bariatric surgery and losing weight
and looking over at their partner andgoing I'm out of Here's just an interesting
factoid. Now, the benefits obviousof stomach bypass or any kind of bariatric
surgery is associated with reduced risk ofheart disease, strokes, diabetes, cancer,

(34:09):
premature death. We know that becausebeing obese is highly, highly dangerous,
especially morbidly obese. And yes,it can certainly improve your mental health,
physical health, and general quality oflife when you're not carrying around all
of that. But the risks associatedwith these surgeries, I don't care if
it's a sleeve or stomach bypass surgery. Malnutrition, which increases the risk of

(34:35):
many diseases. Many people who getthese surgeries end up with malnutrition because the
hardware, the stomach, the digestivesystem just doesn't work as much as well
it's modified, it's never going tobe the same. Gastrointestinal perforation, of
course, can happen with these surgeries. Infection, bleeding, acid reflux.
These are all potential side effects ofthese surgeries. Lung and breathing problems,

(35:00):
blood clots, dumping syndrome, whichmeans you eat and you get diarrheum immediately
before you even get off the chair, and then you gain the weight back.
Think about how many of these moviestars and talking heads on television had
bypass surgery and one day you seethat they're thin, the next day they're
way overweight. A governor in NewJersey reminds me of that, Chris Christy.

(35:23):
They can get gallstones, internal scarring, blockages happen, hernias, stomach
leaking and parrots and ititis, pulmonaryembolisms, ball obstruction, death, These
are all potential risk of these surgeries. But people are saying to themselves,
Hey, look, I am sooverweight and morbidly obesi, and I'm going
to roll the dice and take mychances. I get it. Sleeve the

(35:45):
sleeve surgery, the specific type ofbariatric surgery, requires a major change in
your lifestyle. If you're going tohave it, you got to learn to
eat portions of food small, verysmall portions. Alcohol, no bread,
no rice, no pasta, nohigh fat, no sugar. Those things
will set you off. And ofcourse gastric bypass in surgeries will lower blood,

(36:09):
sugar will lower disease. I'm nota fan of it because I think
obese city is often associated with sexhormone problems, imbalances, thyroid imbalances,
serotonin and dopamine issues needing to beresolved. Emotional components hugely involved in the
mind, body medicine component of beingobese. So personally, I'd say get

(36:36):
institutionalizer, get a reality show, where they dump you off on an island
and you have maybe naked and afreight or something else where you don't you
have to forage for yourself. Yousee these people losing mass amounts of weight
without surgery. Maybe that's the answer. I don't know. I'm doctor Bob
Martin. Welcome Loo Baby Control nowweek even now we do doo b welcome.

(37:12):
All right, you're tuned into theDoctor Bob Martsin show. We thank
