week's installment of the health Alternative of the Week, the
Outrage of the Week. We've got a product recall to
tell you about, and a health mystery of the week.
We've also left up for the second week in a
row because there was so much activity to a question
that we asked on the last show that we decided
to keep it up there. The question being as a
(03:46):
health poll question, that is, are you personally anxious or
stressed out about the upcoming election?
Speaker 4 (03:55):
Yes? Or no?
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Please vote on that on my website at doctor Bob
dot com doctor bob dot com, spelling out.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
The word doctor.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
All right, here we go with this hour, and then
we'll get to open line health related questions shortly. But
I wanted to start off in a discussion of that
sweet tooth that we all have, if you will, it's
really a taste bud on our tongue. We all have
a taste bud for sweetness on our tongue, for.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Sour dinner, all of that. They're even recently found a
new taste bud. But I digress.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
That sweet tooth can up your risk of depression, diabetes,
and even strokes. So if you are like me, a
recovering sugar holic, can I admit it? That's my weakness. Yes,
I think I grew up a sugar addict. I love candy,
(04:51):
but I don't eat candy like that anymore. Once in
a while, Yes, the flesh is weak. I fall off
the wagon and I may eat some candy, but it's
very short lived, as in one handful for one day
and done with it because I know how bad it
is for you. So ah, yes, that's sweet tooth. It
(05:13):
can get you in trouble. Always telling you to go
ahead and eat all those delicious yummies that we know
we really shouldn't eat from bacteria and plaque, eroding your
enamel on your teeth, contributing to tooth decay, to excess
sugar and fat, ruining appetites before supper or dinner, and
(05:36):
also contributing to obesity. That sweet tooth we all are
born with doesn't do us any favors, that's for sure.
I mean, it's fun and it certainly lights up our
dopamine in our brain and our serotonin, but it's not
good for you if you exercise it too often and
go to it too often.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
Well.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
Now, a study of over one hundred and eighty thousand
volunteers enrolled in the Biobank from the University of Surrey,
published in the Journal of Transitional Medicine, suggests that people
with a sweet tooth, people who tend to gravitate towards
sweet things in their diet or drinking or eating them,
(06:17):
are at an increased risk of developing depression. Depression related
to eating sugar and sweet things. Now, I wonder how
many doctors out there when somebody comes into their offices
as a doctor, I'm depressed. I wonder if any of
them ever ask the question, what are you eating? Are
you eating a lot of sugar and sweets? I doubt
(06:40):
if any of them are asking that question. What happens
is they immediately go to their prescription path to give
you an antidepressant drug. That's what mainstream medicine, conventional medicine
is all about.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
So don't think you're going to get anything different.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
All they may ask you about circumstances, why you're depressed,
to what your home family life is, blah blah blah
blah blah, but will ask you about this I doubt it.
But it doesn't stop there. Your sweet tooth, or that
tendency to gravitate towards sweet things cannot only cause depression.
It can also, of course, cause diabetes, and it can
(07:14):
increase your risk of a stroke. Now, the researchers who
looked at this used artificial intelligence or AI to group
the participants into three general profiles. A health conscious group
that prefers fruits and veggies over animal based and sweet foods.
(07:38):
That's group A. Group B was an omnivore group that
likes most foods, including meats, fish, some vegetables, as well
as sweets.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
And desserts. And then groups C.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
And A sweet tooth group that prefers sweet foods, sugary
drinks is it's less interested in healthier options like fruit
and vegetables. So you have three groups they looked at
studied one hundred and eighty thousand people within those three groups.
The data was used from the biobank of blood samples
(08:14):
in which almost three thousand proteins and one hundred and
sixty eight metabolites had been measured from the participants to
investigate how the levels had changed in each of the
three groups. Additionally, the researchers also examined the differences between
the three groups in standard blood biochemistry testing. Comparing the
(08:38):
blood based proteins and the metabolites provided the opportunity to
obtain a clear picture of these people of the biological
differences in each one of the groups. Having a sweet
tooth is not the best for your health. I can
tell you this, one of the lead researchers of Professor
(08:58):
Geifman said, and I quote the foods that you like
or dislike seem to directly link to your health. In
your favorite foods like cakes, sweets, and sugary drinks. Their
study results suggest that this has a very negative effect
on your health. Well, yeah, They found that the person
(09:22):
with a sweet tooth group are thirty one percent more
likely to have depression. They also found the sweet tooth
group had higher rates of diabetes. That makes sense as
well as vascular heart conditions. That makes sense to me too,
because sugar in the body also creates inflammation through a
(09:43):
whole series of metabolic changes that occur, including cortisol spikes.
Doctor Professor Giefman goes on to say, importantly, by using
data driven artificial AI intelligence methods, we are able to
identify groups of people to find if ey their food preferences,
and these groups are meaningful in that they are linked
(10:05):
to health outcomes as well as biological markers. Processed sugar,
the doctor points out, is a key factor in the
diet of many and these results are yet more evidence
that as a society we should do all we can
to think before we eat. Stressing that no one wants
(10:26):
to tell people what to do. Our job is just
informing people. But man, oh Man, unless we tell people
that they're eating sugar, and they're sabotaging their health and
increasing their risk of depression, increasing their risk of diabetes
and obesity, and a whole.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
Long list of other conditions.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
They're over one hundred that eating sugar causes and increasing
stroll risk. It is predictable, they're finding out. We'll finish
this up after the Health Alternative of the Week. I'm
doctor Bob Bartell.
Speaker 5 (11:00):
What's wrong with pin? What's wrong with pin? What's wrong
with being concudent? Aw, It's time to get the HI.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
Welcome you back to the Doctor Bob Martin Show. I'm
doctor Bob.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Thank you for tuning into the program today. Now coming
up in a little bit, we're going to have for
you this week's installment of the Health Alternative of the Week.
But I wanted to finish up on the first segment
of the program, in which we were talking about an
interesting study of over one hundred and eighty thousand people
who enrolled in this biobank study and it was published
(11:45):
in a medical journal, talking about three groups of people,
health conscious people in group A, who prefer vegetables and
fruits over animal based and sweet foods, and in group
B omniv or group people who like foods mostly meats, fish,
some vegetables, as well as sweets and desserts. And then
(12:08):
groups SEA, which is the sweet tooth group eating mostly
sweet foods and sugary foods and less interested in healthy
options like fruits and vegetables. And interestingly enough, this group
was so predictable using their research model that those people
(12:29):
who were in the sweet tooth group or eat a
lot of sugar, the sugar holics because I'm a recovering sugarhlic,
those are the groups that were more likely to be depressed,
the group that was more likely to have diabetes and obesity,
and the group that was more likely to be at
risk of stroke. And what they found was really interesting
is the sweet tooth group they had higher levels of
(12:52):
something it's a biomarker, a blood and biomarker called sea
reactive protein, which is a marker of inflammation that is
the gun folks, And this is something doctors ought to
check more often. It's more important often than doing lipid panels.
The sea reactive protein, along with homocysteine and apple lipob
(13:15):
which is a cholesterol organism or small particle cholesterol. These
are more important than just getting total cholesterol, much more
important than that. Their blood results in this study also
showed higher levels of glucose and lipid profiles in the
group that ate more sugar and had all of those
sweets going into their body. Now I get it. It's
(13:38):
also often the same group that gains a lot of weight,
and then they gain weight and they puff up like
a puffer fish, and they wonder what happened, and it
happened slowly over time, and then unfortunately they get hooked
by the drug companies that are selling this toxin, these
toxic drugs, like these GLP one drugs including wag of
(13:59):
Bee and Manjorno and ozambic. Yet they don't know or
don't realize, or they don't hear the doctor because the
doctor may not have enough time to explain to them
that taking these drugs for quick weight loss, such as ozembic.
And I've talked about ozembic on the show many times before,
warning you that that is one big danger strug, but
so is being obese. But there are options that you have.
(14:23):
You can't skirt around the need to exercise and eat well,
but there are other ways to go about losing weight
without having to subject yourself to the adverse side effects
of ozembic which include you ready for this, which include nausea,
abdominal pain to the point of having an obstruction in
(14:44):
your abdominal area because ozembic paralyzes the largest nerve in
your body. Oh well, your most important vegas nerve, I
should say the vegas nerve. Dizziness, gallstones can happen from
taking ozembic or one drug like it. They're all alike
paink titis. You never want pancreatiti. It's one of the
most painful things in dangers to your health. Thyroid cancer,
(15:06):
now that's the side effect of ozembic. Potentially kidney disease gastroparesis,
which occurs when your stomach muscles are weakened and impaired,
causing food to remain in your stomach longer than it should.
It could cause an obstruction, needing surgery to remove the obstruction.
Or this same class of drugs which are now injectable
(15:27):
and in tablet form Mozambic, wagavy monjeno, it doesn't matter.
There's all kinds of diabetic retinopathy, which is damaging your
blood vessels in your retina of your eye, which can
lead to vision loss. Hair loss is another symptom of
these drugs, and it could lead taking these drugs to hospitalization.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
Why do you want that?
Speaker 2 (15:45):
Well, you shouldn't, and I think now you won't because
you may not have known about it before. Now how
dangerous these drugs are. But there are options you can't
skirt away from needing to get regular exercise, in making good, informed,
better choices about what you're gonna eat. Plenty of books
out there to read about that.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
We talk about it all the time here on the show.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
There's also, so you know, a supplement on the market,
and I hope to get a doctor of pharmacy, a
pharm d doctor on the show soon to talk about
this amazing formula that actually addresses the reasons why people
are gaining so much weight, having to do with metabolic
syndrome and their metabolism being thrown off by what they've
(16:28):
done previously and having insulin resistance. I'm going to get
this doctor on, but let me give you in a
capsule what she recommends as a pharmacy doctor, a doctor
of pharmacy, she recommends something called sculpt. Sculpt have you
heard of it?
Speaker 3 (16:47):
It's for weight loss, healthy weight loss.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
It amazingly reduces excess glucose caloric absorption. So when you
even are taking in sugars. It reduces the absorption of
those sugar molecules, so you don't have the weight gain.
It helps to suppress the appetite and reduce the calories
without doing any of the adverse side effects I just
read off. So it lowers your appetite, it increases fat burning,
(17:13):
and it has six all natural ingredients formulated by a doctor.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
Now you can get.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
A hold of Sculpt, the supplement that's available, and this
farm doctor is going to be on the show soon
to talk about it, but I'll give you a hint
ahead of time. You can find it at Theroot Brands
dot com the Root Root Brands b R, A, N
D S dot com.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
You're looking for Sculpt.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
Sc Ulpt Theroot brands dot com. Looking for Sculpt if
you want to get head start on that interview that
we're going to have with this doctor to talk about it.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
All right, it's.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
Time now for the health alternative of the week. Well,
you're encouraged to go for the gold, purple, the red,
the orange of the green. A recent study of other
people who ate a lot of junk food were fifty
one percent more likely to develop depression. We just talked
(18:17):
about that and confirmed that In the study, young adults
with symptoms of depression were asked to decrease their intake
of processed foods and sugar, particularly refined carbohydrates and soft drinks,
and switched to a Mediterranean diet. Mediterranean style diet. This
is the one that I eat, is the one I
believe in. It's the one I think. It's more balanced
and doable, and compliance is pretty easy. So you include
(18:40):
eating five servings of vegetables and fruits, making sure that
they are organic whenever possible, including fish, nuts, seeds, olive oil, spices, avocado, cinnamon.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
All that you be good.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
To go process foods that are stripped of vitamins, minerals
and full of fiber. You want foods that are full
of fiber, not ones that have been stripped of fiber.
Those are the ones that can actually leave your brain starving,
leave your brain irritable, leave.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
You anxious and sad.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
Foods that are processed by man, or what we call
ultra processed foods no good. Now, you're not going to
avoid all of it, but you try to avoid as
much of it as you can. We live in a
fast paced society. I get that here you have an
Australian study that founded people who ate almost no fresh
(19:33):
produce began to eat fruit and vegetables on a daily
basis reported an increase in life satisfaction and happiness equivalent
to what an unemployed person feels after finding a job.
Finding work they're related. Another study from Germany found similar results,
(19:54):
reporting that eating vegetables led to a higher level of
happiness over time compared two junk foods.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
Our bodies come with.
Speaker 2 (20:03):
A lot of working parts, so it makes sense that
the better you fuel your body, the better the performance.
It's sort of like garbage in garbage out right, So
get out there and try to find those organic fresh
fruits and vegetables, get on the Mediterranean style diet, and
(20:24):
take nutritional supplements to fill in the gaps when you
otherwise can't eat well. Whether it's Arry, Naturally Vitamins or
one of the other lines out there, you can find
them all, especially the fresh fruits and vegetables on organic
at all natural grocer stores naturalgrocers dot com. If you
missed it, or you're lucky to have a store in
your neighborhood, you'd be lucky. This week's health alternative of
(20:47):
the Week Eat better, Please, I'm doctor Bob Martin.
Speaker 6 (21:00):
Everybody's called a fay mistakes, but everybody's got a choice
to make.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
Everybody needs a leave of faith. When are you taking you.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
Money?
Speaker 3 (21:13):
You in five?
Speaker 2 (21:14):

Speaker 3 (23:32):
All right, before we go back to your telephone, calls
and questions.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
Let's get to this week's installment of the health Outrage
of the week.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
Ses you don't believe it, come on each time for
the health outbradge because.
Speaker 7 (23:50):
It's nothing, but.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
It is outrageous, and I know a lot of you
are burned up over this as i am. Springfield, Ohio.
Health officials at admit they're struggling to cope with the
influx of unvaccinated Haitian patients who don't speak English. Springfield,
Ohio public health infrastructure is struggling to keep up with
(24:17):
the influx of Haitian immigrants who are unvaccinated against infectious
diseases such as COVID nineteen and other diseases. Health officials
on the ground say sensational rumors about immigrants have obscured
the very real strain on hospitals in Springfield, Ohio and
(24:37):
clinics in Springfield, Ohio, and they have felt this over time.
Twelve thousand to fifteen thousand Haitian immigrants arrived in their
town over the past four years, boosting the population by
twenty five percent over the past three years. The rapid
influx of people in the small town has meant longer
(25:01):
wait times to see a doctor of both citizens and
new arrivals, as well as more time doctors must spend
with patients due to languish barriers. Governor Mike DeWine has
acknowledged that increasing pressure on Springfield's health system has had
detrimental effects on both immigrants and natural born citizens. So,
(25:26):
ladies and gentlemen, once again, this latest reminder of the
outrage of kicking military personnel out of the services and
forcing others to resign because they didn't get a COVID shot.
Yet we allow people illegal people coming through our borders.
It's like a sieve without any regard to their vaccination status.
(25:52):
No problem being unvaccinated coming through the border, not being
a citizen and going through the normal pathways. But boy,
if somebody's in the military or a nurse in a
hospital trying to work and try to save lives, oh,
you are mandated and forced to get these experimental gene
therapy vaccines that don't stop COVID in the first place
(26:14):
and don't stop the spread either, but they force people
to get it.
Speaker 3 (26:19):
Do you remember when the.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
Government forced cruise ships companies to screen people for COVID
nineteen compliance by demanding to see their COVID verification cards
before entering a cruise ship. Oh, that happened to me,
and I refuse to get on a cruise if I
was going to have to be shut up with an
experimental shot that could possibly kill me, which it has
(26:41):
many people. There are many other examples of how Americans
were forced and or pressured by their employers to get
COVID shots or the threat of losing their jobs.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
Do you remember this.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
Even though COVID shots don't prevent COVID don't prevent the spread,
people were being for worst or pressure to get it
all because of conventional medicine in lockstep with Big Pharma
recommending to our government that the clot shot, the COVID
eighteen shot, must be mandated three feet distance. Remember that,
(27:15):
remember the lockdown sone of that stuff works. Yet we
allow undocumented people to cross our border and we don't
even care if they are vaccinated for anything. The outrage
of our lifetime, Let alone this week, ladies and gentlemen,
that's the outrage of the week. And after my get
my blood pressure settled down here, we're gonna go back
(27:36):
to work. Let's go back to work, all right. Next
up on the telephones at eight hundred and six zero
six eight eight two to two is Vaughn from Beaumont, Texas.
Speaker 7 (27:48):
Von Beaumont Texas. Uh, you mentioned organic blueberries. Well, there's
an Organic Integrity Day a base online that you can
check and see if a company is really organic or
(28:09):
have organic products. A lot of the companies that are
claiming to be organic are not listed on there, and
these you can put in a type of product or
the organization name the product and you know who the
(28:31):
testing was done by the agency that actually done the testing,
and you know, to find out if that product is
listed under that company's name is being organic. A lot
of them are not, so you cannot take for granted
that what they're putting on the label as the actual fact.
Speaker 2 (28:55):
So true, Von, and I so appreciate you calling into
the program from Beaumont Texas to remind us of that
he's right about that. You can actually do just what
he said. You can Google this or write it in
to Google and they'll take you to this Organic Integrity database,
which is monitored by the United States Department of Agriculture
USDA and find out if a particular product that says
(29:20):
that it's organic is in fact organic. I know that
natural grocery stores they're produce in their stores one hundred
percent USDA certified organic. All these other grocery stores you
know that dabble in it.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
I question them. Then you know they get a little
bit of an organic in the middle of.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
A whole host of pesticide laden fruits and veggies. With
all this cross contamination that's gone on. Who knows if
it's organic. And that's why you got to insist on
one hundred percent organic. That's why natural grocery stores does this.
I'm doctor Bob Martin.
Speaker 6 (30:02):
Um, I'm a buss number. Sigmoncible have one never single
(30:23):
minds able.
Speaker 7 (30:26):
I don't.
Speaker 6 (30:29):
I suck.
Speaker 2 (30:33):
Today you're tuned into the Doctor Bob Martin Show.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
Thank you for that.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
We have a caller hotline phone number for you should
you ever need me. I'm here for you. I'll do
my best to help you out answer your health related question.
The number into the show is eight hundred six zero
six eight eight two two. Eight hundred six zero six
eight eight two two. The website where you can always
stay in touch Doctor Bob dot com. Spell out the
(30:59):
word doc Doctourbob dot com and we are smack dab
in the middle of a conversation open health related questions
or comments coming into the show. But before we get
to the next one, let's go to this week's installment of.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
The product recall of the Week.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
Well, almost ten million pounds of recalled chicken and beef
found in products at once Again, Trader Joe's, in the
News and al these and more. The meat and poultry
products were distributed to restaurants and grocery stores across our nation.
This just happened, by the way, this is just reported.
(31:38):
Bruce Pac has recalled over nine million pounds of prepackaged
meats and poultry products due to the possibility of listeria contamination.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
According to the Food and Drug Administration, the.
Speaker 2 (31:48):
Impacted items were produced from June nineteenth, twenty twenty four
to October eighth, twenty twenty four. So they may be
in your refrigerator, they may be in your freezer right now.
There's such there's a long list of them. I don't
have time to go over it. The products are impacted poultry,
meats and pre made salads and casseroles sold in stores
(32:10):
like Trader Joe's again, atv Walmart, and Aldis. If you
shop in those stores, be sure to go to their
websites to find out if any of the foods that
you purchased from those stores.
Speaker 3 (32:24):
Could be problematic.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
You don't want listeria, because if you get lysteria, cocause, fever, vomiting, nausea, headaches,
next stiffness, elderly people, young children with and people with
weakened immune systems, and pregnant mothers are its life threatening.
Speaker 3 (32:38):
So don't just blow it off.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
Check it out this week's product recall of the week.
All right, let us go right back to work with
your telephone calls and questions again. Open line health questions
or comments. Call in eight hundred six zero six eight
eight two to two one eight hundred six zero six
eighty eight twenty two. Next up, we say hey, hello
to Linda in Saint George, Utah.
Speaker 8 (33:03):
My name is Linda. I'm from Saint George, Utah, and
my question is how to re grant blood vessels in
the eye from breaking. It occurs about every three to
four months in one of my eyes. Is there a
supplement that could help or is it a vascular condition?
Speaker 2 (33:21):
Thank you, okay, Linda, thank you for your call. Sorry
to hear you're having that blood vessel problem in your eye.
That's something you want to take serious too, and hopefully,
and I assume by now you've seen an eye doctor
to give you a thorough examination of your eyes, because
that could be something that would be important.
Speaker 3 (33:39):
If you haven't done that, please do so.
Speaker 2 (33:43):
It's unusual to have blood vessels break, and I assume
it's the you're seeing the blood vessel break in the
white of your eye, called the sclera. And I wonder
if your blood pressures involved in this. You should be
monitoring your blood pressure at home. I would hope that
you're not using caffeine or things that can also thin
and weaken the blood vessels like aspirin, ibuprofen, A leave.
(34:07):
If you're on any medications or drugs right now, I'd
consider the possibility that one or more of those could
be causing this or potentially causing that. See a pharmacist
or your family doctor. Meanwhile, let's strengthen the blood vessel
walls in your body so that we can try to
prevent this from happening until you can get to the
reason behind it. So here it is, I would suggest
(34:29):
you consider taking something called picknogenal picnogenal also known as
pine bark extract that helps to strengthen the capillaries and
these walls of these blood vessels that may be bursting
from some pressure somewhere else. Quercitin a type of flavonoid
that comes from the inside peeling of like oranges, you know,
(34:50):
you get the grine off of it, or a lemon
or a lime, and there you see the white part
that pulp that has quercitant. Onions are high in questasan
you eat more onions give you along with vitamin C.
You can take it supplementally to vitamin E, vitamin K two.
These are all things that help blood vessels to strengthen.
And of course eating plenty of organic fruits and vegetables
(35:11):
such as oranges, strawberries, spinach, broccoli, what else, red peppers, garlic, brussels, sprouts, avocados,
orders are all foods you should start consuming more of
to be able to strengthen the blood vessels and try
to reduce the breakage until you can get to the
bottom of the problem. All right, Linda, thank you so
(35:31):
much for your phone call. Next we say hello to
David in Galena, Illinois.
Speaker 4 (35:38):
Hi. Right, this is David at Galena, Illinois. My question
is about the prostate. I have an issue with the
prostate and large to a point where it causes me
a retention of your in my bladder. You have a
solution for that. Thank you by now.
Speaker 2 (35:58):
All right, David, thank you for your phone call. Folks,
It's just as simple if you've got a question about
your health, do the same thing David and all these
other people who are doing call the number eight hundred
six zero six eight eight two to two. Eight hundred
six zero six eight eight two to two. Now I'm
going to answer David's question when we come back from
the break, because I didn't want to short the answer,
(36:20):
and we are constrained by the clock that's always tiken away,
so we'll do that. I also will remind you that
we kept up on my website the health poll question
that we posed last week because there was so much activity,
so much concern. The poll question that I'd love for
you to vote on is are you personally anxious or
(36:42):
stressed out about the upcoming election?
Speaker 3 (36:45):
Yes or no?
Speaker 2 (36:46):
Vote please on my website at doctor Bob dot com,
spelling out the word doctor docto r Bob dot com
we'll have the results of the next show and we'll
get back to David's answer when we come back from
this break.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
I'm doctor Bob Martin.
Speaker 5 (37:00):
You you.
Speaker 2 (37:08):
Make well hopefully natural medicine whenever applicable.
Speaker 3 (37:25):
But welcome or welcome back.
Speaker 2 (37:26):
To the final segment of the Doctor Bob Martin Show,
and thank you again for tuning into the program.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
Appreciate that.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
Now the last caller into the show, I wanted to
finish his answer, David calling in from Galena, Illinois with
a prostate problem. You're in retention, David. I'm going to
suggest that you learn self prostate massage. You can look
it up on the internet or ask your urologists to
teach you how to do that. That's what men used
to do before they started giving drugs out that have
(37:52):
lots of side effects self prostate massage. Then I want
you to also walk like one to three miles, which
is sort of like a natural prostate massage. Avoid sitting
longer than thirty minutes at a time without getting up
and moving around. Now, many men who have prostate problems
or retention to urine have lower back and sacral problems,
meaning structural problems where the nerves supply to the bladder,
(38:15):
to the prostate, or being impacted by bones in your
spine being misaligned or subluxated.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
So see your.
Speaker 2 (38:22):
Chiropractic physician for an exam and treatment if necessary. You
should also be taking supplements like beta cyitisteril zinc, african pygeum.
I would even try acupuncture for this problem. Give it time.
This didn't happen overnight. It's not gonna get well overnight.
Give it time and.
Speaker 3 (38:39):
That should help all right.
Speaker 2 (38:40):
Time now, ladies and gentlemen, for the health mystery of
the week. A potential breakthrough as scientists claim that two
people communicated in their dreams in a world first, Scientists
had brought science fiction one step closer to reality by
achieving the first there's two way communication between individuals during
(39:02):
lucid dreaming as mysterious as it sounds. In an experiment
that sounds like a scene out of the movie Inception,
rem Space, a California based startup that designs technology to
enhance sleep and lucid dreaming, reportedly exchanged a message between
two people who were asleep. The company used specifically designed equipment,
(39:24):
which included a server and apparatus Wi Fi and sensors,
but did not specify the exact technology they used. The
study participants were asleep in separate homes when remrem RABBITI
Movement Space researchers beamed a word created through a unique
language between them. Remspace CEO and founder Michael red Uga
(39:49):
said yesterday communicating in dreams seemed like fiction, science fiction.
Tomorrow it will be common when we won't be able
to imagine our lives without technology. This opens up the
door to countless commercial applications reshaping how we think and
communicate and interactions in the dream world.
Speaker 3 (40:10):
The technology has yet to be.
Speaker 2 (40:12):
Reviewed or replicated by scientists, but if validated, it would
be a major milestone for sleep research and could provide
applications for mental health treatment, skills and training. And more so,
two people communicating in different areas of the country in
their dreams for the very first time a world first.
(40:33):
That is why it qualified as the Health Mystery of
the Week. Please make it a healthy day and a
healthy week. Until we're right back here same time. You've
been listening to the Doctor Bob Martins Show, Please be
well
