the Doctor Bob Martin Show Caller Hotline, it's a total
free number that you can call right now or ten
minutes from now, or five hours from now and you'll

(01:44):
hear me answer the call. I'll ask you to state
your first name, only, the city that you're living in
in the state, and then your question, making it as
succincan as short as you can possibly making it making
it fair for everybody else try to get into the show.
That number is eight hundred six zero six eight A

(02:06):
two two eight hundred six zero six eight A two
two or one eight hundred six zero six eighty eight
twenty two the website doctor Bob dot Com spelling out
the word doctor. All right, let's get started with caller
questions or comments. Next up, we say hello to Laurie,

(02:28):
who's calling in for Mountain Arkansas.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Laurie calling from Mountain Home, Arkansas. What is your belief
on the bed effects of smartphones? I have a four
G smartphone? Can that cause cancer? The four G smartphones?
What is your opinion on that radiation emanating from smartphones?
Should I get rid of it or not?

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Okay, Laurie, thank you for your phone call. I'd be
a hypocrite if I told you to get rid of
your smartphone because I have one. Every member of my
family has one. So don't get rid of it. Just
don't put it up against your head, Lurie. We know
that the electromagnetic emissions coming out of these cell phones
are powerful now and hooking up to the towers four G,

(03:16):
five G, it's just going to continue. That's not a
good thing. I can tell you personally. When I used to,
and this has been years now, I never ever put
that cell phone up against my head.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
Why because I don't want a headache.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
I used to do that, and I wondered why I
got headaches. I had this weird pain starting in my
head when that cell phone was up against my head.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
I'm very sensitive to stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Some people can cook their brain and not even know it,
and I can't even relate to that. But the key
is not getting rid of your smartphone.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
Just don't put it up against your head.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Use a speaker, use the speaker feature on your cell phone,
or use a wire from the phone to your ear
not wire less. That's just as bad, if not worse.
Uh So that's my recommendation. Purchase. Also, you can do this,

(04:15):
I've heard this works as well. You can purchase a
cell phone radiation dampening device that you can glue onto
the back of your phone which neutralizes some of the
electromagnetic emissions coming off of that phone. That would be
also an option for you to consider. And I appreciate

(04:36):
your phone call today, Thank you for that. All Right,
we're in the middle of a health question marathon where
people call into the program on our Doctor Bob Martin
Show caller hotline phone number to ask a question about
health or make a health related comment at eight hundred
and six zero six eighty eight two to two, and
you're encouraged to do the very same thing. You can

(04:57):
do it now thinking about what's going on, So your health,
of the health of somebody else you want to call
in in behalf of or if you want to make
a health related comment maybe something you've heard on this show,
or you want to send a stroker to the host.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
It's all good.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Eight hundred six zero six eighty eight two two one
eight hundred six zero six eight eight two two. Let's
go back to the phones. Next up is Harlan calling
in from Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Speaker 5 (05:23):
Hello, doctor Bob, my name is Harlan. I'm calling from
Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Question. I have a granddaughter that's
six and a half years old and it just seems
like she's not growing at all. She's still about the
size that she was when she was about four years old,

(05:44):
and the doctors are kind of leaning towards Is there
anything with dwarfism, which has no place in our family.
I think it's just something with her nutrition, but it
seems like she's been at about thirty pounds now for
the last two years. Can you give us any suggestions?

Speaker 6 (06:04):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
All right, Harlan, thank you for your phone call. Great question.
This should help a lot of other people too. You know,
I've run into this in my own practice where our
patients would come in with young children and they were
watching the normal tables of growth, height, and weight on
these children, and the pediatricians, over a period of time
would start to panic because now these children are not

(06:29):
fitting within the you know, so called normal ranges, and
they are wanting to consider intervention hormone therapy and gosh,
who knows what else. And it's a long shot that
there's dwarf ism involved in this. It would be extremely rare. Harlan,
and I appreciate your concern over that this child may

(06:53):
have a number of things going on that you're not
aware of, and I'm not aware of because I don't
have a chance to look at her history or talk
to the parents. This child may have had antibiotic therapy
early in life for otitis media or middle ear infection,
which wiped out her gastrointestinal microflora and messed up her

(07:14):
gut health, and that may have interfered with the absorption
of macro nutrients, so she's eating and therefore it's slowed
down the growth process just from having antibiotics. She may
have also been injured, whether you know it or not,
through a load of childhood vaccines that she had that
can also stunt child's growth process because we don't even

(07:40):
know what these vaccines.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
Are doing now.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
I think that's up to eighty seven different vaccines that
these children get by the time they're eighteen. There used
to be like three or four, you know, tetanus and
maybe something else when I.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
Was growing up. Now they're giving them, loading them up.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
No wonder we have so much autism and all these
damaged children in this world. But in the meantime, until
we can figure it out, this child needs supplements like
children's Omega three supplements. You can get these in health
food stores. Omega threes designed for children's body weights. Also,

(08:16):
I would recommend we get her on a probiotics supplement
so that we can address any gastro intestinal problems that
may exist. Like doctor Oh, he is probiotics and a
children's multi vitamin and mineral. Lastly, I want to suggest
that she also the parents take this young girl to

(08:37):
their chiropractor for a spinal nervous system screening. When I
was age about fourteen, I was like really really short,
five feet two inches tall when measured in gym class.
And that's when I startediropractic care. And within a year

(09:03):
or two I grew like four inches and I was
feeling so much better. As a result of getting spinal care.
I had some problems with my neck my back. As
all young boys, we jump off of high places when
we hurt ourselves in various ways, and if that's going
on and the nervous system is being impeded, it can
shut down normal hormone regulation and other growth factors. So

(09:27):
I suggest that this young lady get a chiropractic checkup
to make sure there's structural problems don't exist, and if
they exist, treatment should start. Lastly, if after another six
months of doing these things that I'm suggesting, her growth
and weight is still not starting to improve, I would
consider a comprehensive digestive stool and saliva panel to screen

(09:50):
for malabsorption, gluten intolerance, and parasites and bacteria and other
imbalances that may exist. And doctors that are trained in
functional medicine or integrated medicine holistic medicine will know.

Speaker 4 (10:02):
Exactly how to do that.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
They'll know how to order the test, they will know
how to interpret the test, and they will know how
to make recommendations to correct whatever imbalances that are found
on this young lady's comprehensive digestive stool and saliva test.
I might add also that most mds don't have a
clue about this test. They don't know how to interpret it,

(10:27):
and they're unaware of it. So you've got to go
to a specialized form of doctor who understands this sort
of testing. That would be a nature pathic physician, a
chiropractic physician, a homeopathic physician, or an MD or DO
trained and functional or integrative.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
Medicine or holistic medicine.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Glad you brought it up, Harlan, because a lot of
kids are probably going to benefit by the information that
was triggered here in that question. All right, when we
come back, we've got the health alternative of the week.
Stay tuned, you're tuned into the Doctor Bob Martin Show.

(11:11):
You all righty, welcome you or welcome you back to
this hour the Doctor Bob Martson Show. Thank you so
very much for tuning into the program. And if you

Speaker 4 (11:32):
You may do so by calling our.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
It is time now, ladies and gentlemen, for this week's
installment of the Health Alternative of the Week.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
I want to tell you about.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
One of the hottest things out there going right now
in anti aging medicine. I'm Board certified in anti aging medicine,
which means that I have to study and understand how
the body works and how people are aging excessively by
exposures to various things, and then find ways to mitigate

(12:41):
that naturally. One of the hottest things that are being
studied right now is something called Canadian pine pollen as
a nutritional supplement. Canadian pine pollen, it's amazing stuff. If
you are near or over the age of forty, the
effects of a aging can feel all too real. You

(13:04):
notice sluggish energy, You've got less vitality, You lack vitality
compared to days past, and areas of your body are
also starting to feel the effects of gravity. Things are
starting to sag and you may consider risky hormone replacement therapy,

(13:25):
it's expensive and risky. There are safer and more effective
plant based ways to go about helping to resolve hormonal
imbalances by supplementing with key naturally acquired hormones for both
men and women, and that supplement is now available in

(13:45):
being studied feverishly in the research annals. Canadian pine pollen.
It's now available. Canadian pine pollen is wild harvested from
pine trees and has been used in Chinese medicine for
thousands of years to boost vitality. We're just now getting

(14:06):
around to understanding what the Chinese medicine practitioners have been
using and knowing for thousands of years, starting to unwrap
and unwind the mystery of this pine pollen extract. It's
a blend of naturally occurring hormones that can help support energy,

(14:28):
support stamina, and even libido. It just so happens that
Canadian pine pollen doesn't just give you a boost of energy.
It's loaded with science backed nutrients for combating the effects
of aging. So if you feel like you've been aging
rapidly of late, you're looking in the mirror and you're

(14:49):
finding all these grays and these wrinkles and the sagging
going on and the energy that you need caffeine. This
is the program. This could be the health alternate for
you to feel, function and perform better. Take Canadian pine
Pollen Extract to balance hormones and feel better naturally drug free,

(15:11):
no prescription required. Canadian pine pollen accept no substitutes. Here's
the phone number you can call to obtain or learn

it works and seeing the benefits of it being available

(16:22):
All right, let's get right back to work with your
phone calls open line health related question phone calls at
eight hundred six zero six eight eight two to two.
Here comes Mary in Lake Haasoux City, Arizona.

Speaker 7 (16:35):
Marty, and I am from Lake Havasoux City, Arizonas and
I have a question. My husband has neuropathy in his
hands and we are looking for an option to GABA Pinton.
Thank you very much.

Speaker 4 (16:51):
Okay, Marty, thank you for your call.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
Sorry I mispronounced your name there, Marty from Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Yes,
the neuropathy that he's having is not going to respond
to GAVI penton that well, it's a very risky drug.
That is just to hail Mary. From my vantage point,
from a medical perspective, it just doesn't work. The first

(17:15):
thing we need to determine most people have neuropathy in
the lower extremity, now in the upper extremity. If he
didn't have or start having trouble with his feet with neuropathy,
then this is probably misdiagnosed. It's most likely a cervical
or thoracic spine problem that's been left untreated that is

(17:40):
shutting off the signaling from the brain to his hands.
So that's what we need to address it's a biomechanical problem.
My suggestion to eliminate the fact that there's spinal problems
here is that he get examined by a chiropractic physician,
have X rays taken.

Speaker 4 (18:00):
If there's disc disease.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
We may need an MRI because if he's got disc problems,
we want to know about it. If zir stenosis there,
we want to know about it so we know what
kind of treatment to suggest and or deliver. So my suggestion, Marty,
first and foremost, get him to a chiropractor for an examination.
If they find no problems in the cervical and upper

(18:22):
thoracic spine which leads to his hands, then it is
possibly neuropathy, which I don't see very often where it
starts in the hands, usually in the feet. And for
that we use B twelve methdical bolomin we use alphaa
poic acid, we use benfo tiamin, we use extra vitamin
D and usually with balancing out blood sugar and those nutrients,

(18:47):
over time the neuropathy will get better. And I thank
you for your call.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
All right.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Next up, we say hello to Mike in Gastonbury, Connecticut.

Speaker 6 (18:56):
Yeah, Mike from Glasbury Connecticut doc. I've been on statins
for thirty years Folkres and Crush Store. My doctor just
put me on I had a calcim score for twenty three.
Put me on Repathia injectable. I just want to know
if that's a safe drug. Thank you, love your show.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
Okay, Well, thank you for the phone call, Mike. I
noticed that a lot of people are now being prescribed
that Repathia drug. I don't know what's going on out there,
but I'm suspicious. I'm suspicious, and I don't like statins anyway.
And I'm happy to provide some reading literature for you.

(19:44):
If you'll send an email through my website, I'll be
happy to send you stuff that will curl your toes
about statin drugs.

Speaker 4 (19:50):
They just don't work.

Speaker 2 (19:54):
Statin drugs for thirty years now, another cholesterol a lowering
drug being recommended that is injectable, called Repatha. Repatha is
a prescription drug used to treat high cholesterol and other
heart related conditions. It's an injection under the skin, but
there's so many side effects. Trouble breathing and swallowing is

(20:14):
one of the serious potential side effects. Raise bumps, hives, rash,
swelling of the face, lip, tongue, throat. I'm just going
through some of the potential adverse side effects of this
particular drug, and there are a lot of them which
you don't need or want. There are ways to handle cholesterol. First,
We've got to find out why your body wants to

(20:35):
make extra amounts of it, and there's usually an inflammatory
process driving that which we need to consider. That's where
the focus ought.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
To be in my opinion.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
I'd be happy, however, to send you these articles about
statin drugs and the fact that they don't work. Send
an email to me through my website at doctor Bob
dot com.

Speaker 4 (20:55):
Thank you for your phone calls.

Speaker 8 (20:57):
The mistakes, but body's got a choice to make. Everybody
needs a leap of faith. When are you taking yours?

Speaker 9 (21:09):
Mon?

Speaker 4 (21:09):
Are you infhoe?

Speaker 2 (21:17):
All right? Welcome or welcome back to this hour of
the Doctor Bob Martin Show. Now we'll get back to
your phone calls and your open line health questions and
health comments momentarily on our Doctor Bob Martin Show. Caller

Speaker 8 (21:38):

Speaker 2 (21:38):
Eight hundred six zero six eight eight two two is
the number to call should you have a health related question.

Speaker 4 (21:44):
I'll do my best to help you out.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
Eight hundred six zero six eight eight two two The
website doctor bob dot com spelling out the word doctor. Now,
before we go back to your phone calls and questions,
I want to remind you that this doctor, in my
entire family and most of my healthcare colleagues are interested
in avoiding and you should be too, and I think

(22:09):
a lot of you are, but you may not know
how to do it. The best way tooth decay gingivitis,
periodontal disease, and bad breath. Some people use the strongest
mouthwashes they can find out there, which are not healthy
for you. They wipe out the microbiome and your ability
to make nitric oxide. And then they use toothpaste, the

(22:32):
big box toothpaste. I don't care if it's crest or
Colgate or whatever it may be. They have so many
chemicals in them. Just read the label. My suggestions. You
do what I do and my family does. My colleagues
do that know this stuff. Know how important it is
the oral cavity to keep it healthy, and that is
to use the Spry Dental Defense System. SPRY Spry Dental

(22:56):
Defense System, which involves using Spry toothpaspe and Spry mouth
rents as well. If you want the mints and the
gum that are also in that particular defense kit. Now
you can find these stores, and I'm gonna give you
the names of those stores where you can find Spry
so that you and your family can have the best

(23:18):
dental checkups and the best oral health possible.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
Because if you get.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
As uptight as I do about seeing a dental provider,
they're great. I mean, hygienas do a great job, dentis,
they're excellent. But what if the dental hygienists and the dentists,
you know, they peer into your mouth after using these
regular toothpaste with all the chemical junk and the mouthwash,
and they still tell you're having cavities and periodonal disease

(23:46):
and gingivitis and so forth.

Speaker 4 (23:50):
It still happens.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
Since I've been using the Spray Dental Defense System, the
toothpaste and the mouthwash, my teeth my gums have been
so much healthier. I've been using it for over twenty now,
and it comes in delicious flavors peppermint, cinnamon, spearmint. The
secret sauce, which is really not a secret anymore. It's
science based. Is in the xylotol used by millions of people.
Xylotol is a plant based ingredient in spry tooth based

(24:16):
and mouthrints, gum, and mints. It is anti cavity, antiplaque,
and anti bad news. When you're at the dentist's practice,
when the dental hygienis scopes out what's going on before
that dental hygienis calls the dentist it to take a
look in your mouth and says, oh boy, you need
you need a root canal, you need a crown and

(24:42):
that is not good. So if you want squeaky clean
teeth gums, use the Spray Dental Defense System just like
Doctor Bob. Now you can find Spray Dental Defense. It's
available at CBS, Right Aid Pharmacies, Target, Vitamin Chop, Sprouts,
and all natural grocery stores. For more information, go to
their website, Clear dot com, x L e A r

(25:06):
dot com, Clear dot Com for the Spry Dental Defense System.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
All right, let's get right back.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
To work with your telephone calls and your questions on
the topic of health. As we say hello, next to
Neil in Buena Park, California.

Speaker 6 (25:27):
Neil brother Park, California. Question for you, Uh, For the
last two years, I've had a seatpap machine and I
have to get up to go to the bathroom for
averages four times tonight. How can I eliminate that? No
one's been able to help? Thank you very much, all.

Speaker 4 (25:48):
Right, Neil, thank you for your phone call.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
Seatpap machines and you're you're using that for uh.

Speaker 4 (25:55):
For the fact that.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
You're breathing is being interrupted at night as beyond snoring.
Now you're stopping breathing, and that positive airway flow down
your throat is keeping things open. That indicates to me
that you're swollen systemically. And a lot of people who
have to use these seapap machines they have systemic swelling.

(26:17):
That swelling is now obviously affecting your prostate gland as well.
So four times a night to urinate, that's over the top.
I would suggest that you look for the cause of
both the need to use the seatpap machine. Because your
soft palette is collapsing so that you can't get air

(26:37):
and your mouth is dropping open. I would suggest that
the cause of perhaps the prostate problem, your urinary problem
and the need to use the SEATPAP is food intolerances
or food allergies. So immediately I would avoid alcohol, I
would avoid sugar in all forms, caffeine, dairy, soy, corn,

(27:00):
and wheat. The reason I'm telling you to avoid those
and give it at least sixty days before you make
a judgment. And it's not going to be easy, but
I think you're motivated now. I can tell by the
side of your voice you're frustrated. You've tried it, and
a lot of things nobody's able to help you. Your
body is swelling for a reason, and usually it's foods
that you're putting in there your body is not happy
with and is creating water retention. So you can get

(27:23):
a blood test, a blood test called Elisa Elisa slash
act act Elisa ACT blood test that measures for common
food intolerances and you can measure for two hundred, three hundred,
four hundred, depending on what you want to do to
reduce the swelling. Because when you have food intolerances or allergies,

(27:47):
your body retains water, and when that water's retained, that
prostate swells, your throat swells, every part of your body swells.
Whether you know it or not internally, whether you can
see it or not, it doesn't matter. It's happening interstitially.
You can also take the following for the urinary track
problem i e. Or swollen bloated BPH benign prosthetic hypertrophy

(28:10):
beta sitosterol. Get that at the health food store. You
can also take something called vascular defense by sun Nutrition Excellent.
There's a supplement by Terry Naturally vitamins for men who
have these frequent urinations at night called healthy PSA levels.
Not only does it help get the PSA levels back

(28:31):
in order, but it also helps with the nighttime excess
of urination. So it's called healthy PSA by Terry Naturally vitamins.
Walk at least one to three miles a day that
massages your prostate gland avoids sitting more than thirty minutes
at a time.

Speaker 4 (28:47):
So there you have it.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
Appreciate your phone call, Neil. Next up is Diane in
Newel Minnesota.

Speaker 10 (28:52):
My name is Diane. I live in Newel Minnesota, and
my question is eating mini marshs a good idea to
have as a snack. I eat about twenty ten to
twenty to thirty to forty little monument marshmallows every time
I snack on them, and that's at least once a day.

(29:14):
So could you tell me if this is a good
thing to do or not? Thank you, good bye, all right, Diane.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
Thank you for your phone called mini marshmallows. Boy, do
I remember those? I used to throw them up in
the air and catch them in my mouth. I used
to have contests in our family to do that. I
used to eat a lot of those. But unless you
want diabetes, unless you want obesity, unless you want a
long list of diseases associated with constant sugar intake, I

(29:41):
would I would recommend you stop eating the mini marshmallows.
Consider snacking on rock, harrot sticks, pieces of organic apples, blueberries, raspberries,
anything but those mini marshmallows.

Speaker 4 (29:55):
We'll be right back.

Speaker 11 (30:04):
So I'm a bus service number. Signoncible The old one
Ever singles today.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
Before we get back to more phone calls and questions,
it's time now for the product recall of the week. Well,
it's an urgent recall for one hundred and sixty pounds
of ground beef sold in restaurants across America. Over one
hundred and sixty pounds of ground beef sold across America
has been recalled.

Speaker 4 (31:35):
After testing positive for E. Coli.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
The company Wolverine Packing Company, a Detroit, Michigan establishment company,
is pulling approximately one hundred and sixty seven thousand pounds
of ground beef products that may be contaminated with a
deadly bacteria. The beef was shipped to restaurants nationwide. To date,
seventeen case patients have been identified. In one state, two

(32:03):
people have been hospitalized. X USDA Food chief doctor Darren
Dettweiler said that tragically, this is not the first time
Wolverine Packing Company has been involved in such a recall.
The company faced a similar issue in twenty fourteen with
a recall of some one point eight million pounds of

(32:26):
ground beef. They need to get it together up there
in the Wolverine Packing Company this time around around the
products subject to recall establishment number. This is the number
if you have a Wolverine Packing Company ground beef product,
looked for the eest dot two five seven four B

(32:51):
number inside the USDA Mark of inspection. The problem was
discovered when the US Department of Agricultures Food and Safety
Inspection Services was notified by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture
about a group of people who had fallen ill after
consuming ground beef. To date, fifteen case patients have been
identified in one state.

Speaker 4 (33:13):
E Coli is not good.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
You don't want to be get exposed to it people
with compromised immune systems or young children.

Speaker 4 (33:21):
It can be deadly.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
It can cause dehydration, bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramps for up
to eight days after exposure. Most people recover within a week.
Some develop kidney failure called hemolytic uremia syndrome. So if
you're eating ground beef through a company by the name
of Wolverine Packing, be extremely careful, don't eat it, take

(33:48):
it back. Let's go back to the phones and your
phone calls. Next up, we say hello to Michelle in Walla, Walla, Washington.

Speaker 9 (34:00):
He oh, Walla, Washington. Is there anything you can take
for essential tremors other than a prescribed medicine that makes
you sleepy and feel like this rug?

Speaker 4 (34:19):
Michelle, thank you for your phone call. Yes, there is.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
There's a supplement on the market called Dopa Dopa four hundred.
Dopa four hundred is a natural supplement derived from a
seed extract called Mukana purens Mucana purens. And if you
want to get hold of that, call the company directly.
They may be able to help you find that supplem
at eight hundred three five zero three three zero five.

(34:45):
You're looking for DOPA four hundred for essential tremors one
eight hundred three five zero three three zero five. Also,
and this may sound strange coming from me, people with tremors,
whether it's Parkinson disease or essential tremors, there's all kinds
of different tremors. Also, nicotine gum often helps reduce essential tremors,

(35:07):
so you might check that out. I don't want you
to become addicted to nicotine, but if it solves your
tremors and you don't have to go on more toxic drugs,
that'd be the way to go. More conservative way. Also,
I would suggest that if you're not taking Omega three supplement,
you do so. And there is a way that you
can use helicochrysome and frankincense oils have been shown to

(35:31):
reduce inflammation in.

Speaker 4 (35:32):
The brain, and vetaver oil.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
These are essential oils that have been found to reduce tremors.
What you do is you rub two drops of frankincense
and helicochrysome and veta verre oil on your temples and
neck two times a day, or you put two drops
of frankincense on the roof of your mouth. And this
has been shown to help people with these these strains

(36:00):
and tremors that they get not because they have Parkinson's
disease or a diagnosis. They're just wobbling and tremoring a
little bit. And sometimes it's a combination of factors that
generate it. It's strange when you have neurological distress like this,
because you don't know if it's being derived from some
neurotoxin in the system, it's some problem related to the

(36:23):
relay response between the brain and the extremity that is
where you're getting the tremors. It's really kind of a
mysterious thing that's hard to track down. So what you
have to do is you just have to try to
reduce it or tamp it down so it's not so severe,
so it's not so embarrassing for you more than anything else,

(36:43):
because it's certainly not life threatening.

Speaker 4 (36:45):
All right, Michelle, thank you for your phone call.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
Coming back, ladies and gentlemen with the health mystery of
the week right here on the Doctor Bob Martin Show.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
I must stay conscious.

Speaker 11 (37:01):
To the madness en case, so I call on my angels,
say at.

Speaker 4 (37:17):
Victorious in.

Speaker 2 (37:22):
All right, welcome and welcome back to the final segment
of the Doctor Bob Martin Show for this week. I
so very much appreciate you tuning into the program, and
so so humble about you recommending and I'm appreciative of
you recommending this show to others in your life, maybe

(37:43):
your family members, maybe your friends, your neighbors, co workers
appreciate it. That's what the show is all about, spreading
the good word of health and wellness, and hopefully we
hit that mark for you. It is time now for
the health mystery of the week, the science behind why

(38:06):
walking through Walmart's giant parking lots doesn't feel like a marathon.
Walking from one side of the Walmart parking lot to
the other can take up to two thousand steps, but
most shoppers rarely complain about the long journey, and that's
thanks to Walmart's science based mystery design of the parking lot.

(38:28):
Urban planning experts revealed that it doesn't feel like you're
walking a marathon because the massive sight lines spaces in
between spots, which allow customers to have clear view of
the store no matter where they are and where they've parked.
Walmart has also scaled structures around a car strategically, like

(38:52):
tall lampposts and giant signage, minimizing the perception of how
large the lot actually is and how far are you
really need to walk to get in the front door. Mysteriously,
the experts also noted that because the entire parking lot
is dedicated to the store, shoppers do not feel as
if they are going out of their way, no matter

(39:13):
how far they park from the entrance doors. A typical
Walmart with its parking lot occupies a total area equal
to more than a dozen football fields and park and
the parking lot, on average, is three times the size
of the store. You check it out for yourself the

(39:34):
next time you go over there, and you'll see exactly
what I'm talking about. Whereas if you park let's say
on a street, and you have to walk let's say
a half a block to get to the store, because
you can't see it, the store is not in your
line of sight, you feel like you've been walking for
a long period of time, and you start complaining, where's
the store?

Speaker 4 (39:53):
Oh, I park so far away, I have to walk.

Speaker 2 (39:56):
So far, and yet, and yet, mysterious Walmart has very
cleverly designed their parking lot in such a way that
no matter how busy it is, no matter how far
you have to park out in the boonies and walk
into the doors of the Walmart, you don't even feel
like you've walked very far because you don't lose sight

(40:18):
of the building, and they have all these other props
in the parking lot to fool you, well, not fool you,
but make you feel that you didn't walk that far
and you won't complain about it. That's pretty mysterious to me,
and it qualified as the health mystery of the week.

Speaker 4 (40:34):
Make it a healthy day and a healthy week, and.

Speaker 2 (40:36):
Tell we're right back here next week, same time, same
place you've been listening to the Doctor Bob Martin Show.
