Hi. I love this show. It is so helpful. This
is Jackie from molein Illinois. And my daughter, who is
fifty three, has to go through an operation that involves
having a sling installed in her I don't know much
about this, but the doctor said that it had develop

from when she had her child nineteen years ago in
long labor and she has bathroom problems where it's frequent
in that and this sling is supposed to be installed.
So I want to know what is involved here with
a sling and does it hold up the side effects
(13:59):
or does this operation have to be redone. The operation
is going to be lined up so far about the
middle of November. Thank you so much for your program

First of all, surgical failure rates after sling surgical procedures
can vary a course from person to person. I've read
anywhere from ten to fifty seven percent at a five
year follow up. I'm not a fan of this surgery
for sure. I've heard and heard horror stories of people
having this. In fact, I had a friend of mine
(14:39):
who used to do this surgery stop practicing medicine because
there were so many women that just didn't do well
with it. So I'm not a fan of this. You
should try everything you can for urinary and continents. I
know urinary and continents is very disconcerting for women, and
it happens.

But having a.

Surg like this, if it's botched or something happens, you're stuck.

You're never going to ever be right again.

And I've spoken again to more surgical failures than successes
for r dary incontinence. Who got this sling or one
of these sling surgeries, And there's different kinds. It's not
worth the risks, in my opinion, in a non life
threatening condition unless you have diligently exhausted all safer alternatives

that exist. And I dare say it's unlikely that she
has exhausted all viable and safe ways to go about this,
including losing weight, especially in the abdomen area, starting a
core training resistance exercise program for at least four to
six months in order to tone and strengthen the deep

abdominal muscles which impact how the bladder sits, how it functions.
And I also am a big fan of you ueeing
a mini trampoline starting off slow where you don't know,
jump real high in the air with it. You can
put it right in your living room. They're inexpensive, and
I've helped a lot of women with urinary and continents

stop the thought process of having one of these surgeries
that can go wrong and you're never right again and
it's hard to reverse it. Not only that's there's scar
tissue to consider and general anesthesia. The list goes on
and on. So the use of these little mini trampolines
and maybe even a slant board where you're using cagel
exercises which helps to strengthen and tighten those core muscles.

Performing those two or three times a day powerful I've
seen amazing results with it. I also recommend that she

these women who have urinary and continents, they also have
these low grade UTIs going on that are causing them

can they do to your body to cause cancer?

Well, that's a loaded question, but let's look at the
long term marijuana use subject first. Some marijuana US users
believe that smoking marijuana will prevent cancer because of the
CBD or the THC, et cetera. However, studies suggest that
using marijuana or cannabis over the long period of time

increase the risk of cancer, particularly cancers of the long
cancer of the head area, cancer of the neck area.
Cancer is often generated by the toxicity and imbalances within
our bodies, and using whether it's heroin, can indirectly increase
the risk of cancer. Cocaine use can increase the risk

of ooral and pancreatic cancers, as well as non Hodgkins lymphoma.
And if you pollute your body with these illicit drugs,
I don't care if it's marijuana or heroin or you
know whatever flavor dazure of illicit drug you used. When
you pollute your body and overwhelm it with poisons that

ought not go in there, something will eventually break in
our ability to clean up the toxins we are pouring in,
not to mention causing our immune system to go down.

All right, Kathy, thank you for your phone call. Well,
first of all, the University of Tennessee Medical Center right there,
or chi Chi Memorial Hospital or Park West Medical Center
or Erlander Medical Center all are good choices unless you
don't require the surgery to prevent further kidney dysfunction or damage.

There are two main reasons for renal artery stenosis, usually
in people. One is athlorosclerosis, which is a build up
a plaque, a sticky substance made of cholesterol, fat, and
calcium in the walls of the renal arteries. This is
the most common cause of RAS, accounting for about sixty
(26:26):
to ninety percent of cases. So risk factors include high
blood pressure, smoking, diabetes, high cholesterol, and heavy alcohol use. Now,
your doctors can counsel you on this, but you're right
there and there are plenty of medical centers that can

up having somebody finally offer up surgery, which can be

of carpal tunnels problems, which is a wrist disorder where

the shoulder, and even up to the neck. The worst
thing you can do is take drugs for it or
opt for surgery. Now, obviously, Linda, you provided a stroker
(33:50):
for us. And when a stroker comes into the show,
where a caller calls in and strokes the host that
would be me, we like to play this theme music.
You know, some radio talk show hosts stroke themselves. They
(34:12):
literally fracture their own arms by patting themselves on the back.
It doesn't feel as good to stroke yourself. It's better
to have somebody stroke you. So self stroking is not
that much fun. But we love it when callers call
into the program because they've heard something and benefited by
this radio show and described that to the audience and

give praise to host that would be me.

do to help get shin splints better so I can
go back to exercising running again. I hope.

There are a number of reasons why runners like Dentis
develop painful shin splints, and they include like running with
a bad form of course, fallen arches, over pronation or
supornation for example. So if you don't already have something
called foot levelers in your shoes soft orthotics in your
(35:25):
shoes to correct you know, the foot moving inward or
outward excessively, I suggest you get them right away. Not
giving yourself enough recovery time after running can also do it.
Running on hard services can also cause or generate shin
splints in certain people. Or running uphill or downhill, which
(35:46):
puts a lot of pressure on the shin, can also
set it off. So begin a workout routine slowly build up,
you know, just regular walking. Don't go too aggressively, like
jump out of your house and you're running right away. No,
that doesn't do it. Sometimes these old injuries that you've
had can also set off these problems. Like you want
(36:08):
to make sure you're stretching your it band, your glute,
your calves, your heels sufficiently after you warm up by
walking at least fifteen minutes, walking fifteen minutes and then stretching.
And if you do develop schinzmans. You can use topical
dmso you can use ice. You can use a supplement
called curemed by Terry Naturally vitamins. Find somebody who knows
(36:31):
applied kinesiology, like a trained chiropractic physician.

Try massage therapy.

that can diagnose any cancer in the bloodstream when it's
just starting or or even if it's there, is there
If you know, is there any tests? Please let me know?

Uh, thank you all right, thank you for your call.
Speaker 2 (38:28):
Yes, there are many actually, and more are coming online
all the time. Cancer mark or blood tests also known
as tumor market tests, and they're made up of cells
and or by or normals you know, compared to normal
cells in response to cancer. And these high levels of
these cells can be a sign of cancer. But the
(38:49):
only one hundred sure way to know if you have
cancer as a histological cell biopsy, which often spreads and
existing cancer. Many people fear that they know about it,
so you got to be really careful with that. But
there are tests like there's a test called alpha FETO protein.
(39:10):
There's another one called CEA carcinogenic embryanic anagen test. We
know about the specific the prostate specific anagen test PSA.
We also know about the cancer antigen one twenty five tests,
and there's also a test called Anti Malignant antibody AMA tests,
and there are others. I've just listed a few of
(39:31):
the tests that can be done in an effort to
get out in front of early cancer cells floating around,
whether it be stem cells or other cells, tumor cells
with these blood test markers. So they're not one hundred percent.
Nothing is when it comes to this arena, but they
(39:56):
do exist, and doctors often do not like to run them.

They resist them.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
Sometimes they're pricey, they can be expensive, and the doctors
might believe that why do it if we don't know
that you already have cancer through another means of diagnosis,
through a CT scan or an MRI or some other
test that was determinate that you might or may have
a form of cancer that they need to do a
(40:24):
follow up or a secondary test to confirm blood test
and then ultimately histological testing. So hopefully this information helps you, Bernice.
