spelling out the word doctor docto r bob dot com.
There you'll find Instagram x LinkedIn.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
All of it's there.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
We also have a health toll free or rather a
question on that poll question that I'd love to get
your opinion of when you hit the website, weigh in
on this fluoride thing that's being looked at in the
state of Florida to get rid of that do you
think we should do it nationwide? All right, let's begin
before we go to your phone calls. Let's begin with

(03:57):
the topic of weight loss. You know, a lot of
weight is gained between Halloween in the United States, Halloween
and after the first of the year New Year's because
we load on the calories, we slow down, we don't
move about as much because maybe the temperature outside. We've
come complacent and sedentary, and weight is gained, and then

(04:20):
all of a sudden, we can't get into our clothes
after the first of the year, and we wonder how
we're going to get rid of it. And then we
see the allure, the allure, the teasing of the pharmaceutical
companies telling you all you have to do is take
this injection.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Once a month and it'll solve all your problems.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
You've heard about these GLP one drugs like oh Sempic
and weiga V and Monjoro and all of that. They've
been billed as the cure all for weight loss, many
of them promoted by the Hollywood elite and doctors. Of course,
the pharmaceutical companies love it, that make it. But doctors

(04:59):
are now warning millions of patients about not shedding fat
while taking these weight loss drugs, these GLP one drugs
like ozembic and others. In fact, some studies indicate that
forty to sixty percent loss of muscle mass and not fat.

(05:21):
So yes, people are having their the nerve that goes
from the brain to the stomach paralyzed essentially by taking
these GLP one drugs, whether it be ozembic, wag of e,
or monjoro. But at what expense When you're replacing lean
muscle mass, which is the metabolic carburetor that helps you

(05:41):
burn calories and stay strong and upright, the muscle mass
is going away and being replaced with fat.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
Obesity.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Experts have come forward warning about twenty percent of patients
do not respond well to these drugs that are in
once a month, and a smaller number actually put on weight,
so they may not be the miracle drug that you
thought it was going to be. And everybody responds differently,
of course, And you hear all these miracle stories and
you see people losing weight, but as soon as they

(06:13):
stop the drug, guess what they gain it all back,
and sometimes even more. And we won't even have time
to get into all the potential adverse side effects that
these drugs are causing people to be hospitalized. You know,
they're intestinal area being paralyzed to the point where they
have to be surgically decompressed because they're obstructed in their ball.

(06:33):
We won't even get into that right now, but about
thirty one million Americans have ever taken weight loss drugs,
meaning millions of people are non responders and not reaping
the intended benefits. Experts say this is especially concerning given
how expensive the drugs are, some of them, these injections,

(06:56):
these GOLP wants eight hundred dollars a month for a
month to apply without insurance, or they're trying to get
insurance to pay for it. In fact, the administration is
trying to get it paid for right now. The current
one and the one coming in is against it. The
potential for adverse side effects, including life threatening responses, and

(07:19):
the fact that many people need to take them for
life to avoid regaining any lost weight. So you know,
before you start on these drugs, ask yourself the question,
do you want to take that rump shot in the
rear end with the needle dripping every single month of

(07:39):
your life from here on out. If not, with then
why start, because that's what it is required. Ozambi, Wegamy,
and Monjorro all are injectable GLP one receptor agonist drugs,
and they work by imitating a hormone in the body
that controls the rate of food that gets processed in

(07:59):
your stomach, in your gut, in your astro intestina are
mostly the small intestine, slowing the process down, essentially paralyzing
a nerve that regulates hunger.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
That's what these drugs do.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
You fool with mother nature, and I'm here to tell
you you're gonna get burned. Most people will eventually get burned.
They may think it's fun in the beginning because now
they're like not eating. They don't want to eat because
it shuts down their appetite.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
That's not good.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
This artificially reduces appetite and helps you to people to
lose weight. In clinical trials, most people taking the drugs
these VLP one drugs for obesity lost an average of
fifteen to twenty two percent of their body weight, but
a concerning amount of lean muscle mass was all so lost.

(08:46):
That's critical, which serves as a metabolic carburetor. If you
will to help burn unwanted fat. You essentially are treating
essential muscle that you need for more fat. Who wants that?
That's the big trickery of using something like this, this
quick fix, artificial, drugged effect. Recent research suggests that non

(09:08):
responders fall far short of the average loss, losing just
five percent of their body weight. Scientists aren't sure what
exactly happens in non responders, but think it has to
do with the unique biology of the body. There's a
doctor Fatima Cody Stanford, an obesity expert at Massachusetts General Hospitals.

(09:34):
This doctor told us the associated press obesity varies drastically
from patient to patient, and doctors warn people they should
not expect the same dramatic results as some of their
favorite celebrities are touting. Obesity is influenced by genetics, hormones, lifestyle,
and how a person's brain functions and regulates body processes.

(09:56):
This doctor Stanford said, also, and I quote, it's all
about explaining the different people. Different people have different responses.
This is a health challenge that stems from the brain.
That dysfunction may not be the same for every single patient.
From patient to patient, they change. Underlying conditions can also

(10:18):
affect the person's response to these drugs, and so you
have to just be careful and know that there is
something you can do. It's back to the old take
in less calories, burn more calories than you take in.
Eat right, exercise, make good decisions. If you want something

(10:38):
that's safe and effective for weight loss, yes, eat right,
you know, make sure you're exercising, make good choices, and
take at least a supplement that won't do all the
damage to you called sculpt. We've talked about it here
in the show. We had a pharmacologist on it recently.
Sculpt Sculpt. You can look for it at the Root

(10:59):
Brandes dot com, Theroot Brands dot com.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
Just give and I welcome you back to this hour

(11:24):
the Doctor Bob Martin Show.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Thank you so very much for tuning into the program.
We'll get back to phone calls and your health related
questions a little bit later in this hour. So don't
go anywhere. And if you do have a question about
your own health or the health of somebody else that
you care to call in on behalf of or you've
got just a regular health comment you want to lay down,

(11:47):
you may call our Doctor Bob Martin's Show Caller hotline
phone number it's a nationwide toll free number at eight
hundred six zero six eight A two two eight hundred
six zero six eight eight two two. Simply call one
eight hundred six zero six eighty eight twenty two ask
your health question or your lay your health comment down there.

(12:11):
I'll ask you to state your first name only, first
name only, city and state you're living in, and then
your question.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
That simple.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
All right, Before we get back to calls and questions,
let's go to this week's installing of the health alternative
of the week.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
All right.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
The health alternative of the week basically is something that
you can use and rely on alternative to something you're
currently doing with or about your health that may be
healthier for you. This week's health alternative of the week.
And let's face it, it's the temperature's going down in
many areas of the country, and it's soup time. It
is soup temperature outside in many places. I want you

(12:55):
to consider eating more soups. Natural Grocers brand or gamic
soup this week's health alternative of the week. If soup
is one of your most comforting foods, then reach for
Natural Grocer's brand of organic soups. It's your match made
in culinary heaven if you will. These savory soups are

(13:15):
certified organic, non GMO and crafted with entirely plant based,
gluten free, dairy free ingredients, and it's ready to eat
almost as quickly as you could say lunch. You eat
them up and you serve them. What's inside? You ask
of the Natural Grocer's organic soups. Well, they have the
classics like organic creamy tomato soup, three lentil soup, and

(13:42):
butter squash soup, and unique flavors like organic sauer kraut,
sweetcorn and vegan chili bean soups. My mouth is watering already.
Where's the soup? You should eat more soup? And here
are a couple of reasons that you make want to
consider well. Sipping hot soups can keep you and your

(14:03):
family warm and toasty. Soup not only takes the bite
out of a frosty night or day, but it is
also a fuss free way to get dinner on the
table quickly.

Speaker 3 (14:17):
Here's another thing.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
Natural Grocer's brand soups are good for you, while other
brand soups can devastate a diet with creamy based ingredients
that are high and fat high in calories and high
in salt, and particularly salt for people who are challenged
by blood pressure.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
You gotta be careful with that.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
An opportunity it is when you have more soups in
your diet. It's an opportunity to get more vegetables like
pumpkin and butternut squash and carrots and parsnips. And they
don't go limp by the way when you cook them.
If you check out this week's health alternative of the Week,
Natural Grocers brand organic soups. Also, soups keep you hydrated

(14:58):
during the winter months. It's not uncommon to drink less
water than you need. While you may not be hot
and sweaty in the winter, you still lose fluid through
daily activities. And since soups are more liquidy and are
obviously liquid, they're a great way to stay hydrated and full.

(15:19):
They give your immune system a booth a boost.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
Soups to soup.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
Can help ward off the common cold and flu. You've
heard of using soups for that. Most soups are loaded
with disease fighting nutrients. In fact, studies show that soup
can help prevent the common cold, especially if you load
it up with fresh garlic, onion, celery, and carrots. These
soups also contain powerful immune boosting chemicals.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
Here's a bonus.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
The hot liquid in soups also sues a sore throat.
So the next time you're craving one of life's most
comforting foods, reach four Natural Grossers brand organic soups to
keep you warm and healthy this winter season. And if
you don't have a natural grocery store near you, go
to their website naturalgrocers dot com. Naturalgrocers dot com. This

(16:10):
week's health alternative of the week. All right, let's get
right back to your phone calls and questions on the
topic of health at eight hundred and six zero six
eight eight two to two.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
Next up is.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Gary calling in from Honolulu, HAWAIII.

Speaker 5 (16:24):
My name is Gary. I'm calling from Honolulu, Hawaii, and
I would like your opinion on lifewaves the patches.

Speaker 6 (16:36):
Thank you very much.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
Okay, Gary, thank you for calling KHVHAM eight thirty and Honolulu,
one of our affiliates.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
Thank you for calling. LightWave patches.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Folks he's talking about are these patches that you can purchase,
their wearable patches skin patches that are supposed to impart
a nanotechnology wherein are these are designed to trap this
uh an infrared energy when placed on the body, which

(17:11):
causes them to reflect it back to stimulate specific acupressure points.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
That's the whole concept behind.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
It is is infrared energy stimulating acupressure points underneath the skin.
I'm a big fan of energy medicine in general. I
am energy medicine is the the the way of the
future in terms of healthcare. We under when we understand
energy medicine more thoroughly, we're going to make bigger inroads

(17:40):
to health and wellness and get away from being drugged
out of our minds with all these pharmaceuticals that just
keep coming at us. It's basically red light therapy. This
uh these patches, that's what they're you know, at least
marketed as in general, these things do tend to stimulate.
But first, this type of treatment modality can not harm

(18:06):
you in any way.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
It can't harm you.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
It can it can separate you from some of your
hard earned dollars financially speaking, But the jury's still out
Gary on this topic on whether or not this treatment
actually works.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
You would be better.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
Off just to hire an acupuncturist, or go find a
practitioner who does laser red light laser therapy or you
know these light therapies, and forget about the patches.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
Because we just don't still don't know.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
What they're doing and how they work. All right, again,
appreciate your phone call. Next up is Gene calling it
from let's see ruynerd Park, California.

Speaker 7 (18:46):
My name is Jean, I'm in California. Runert Park is
the city, and I wanted to ask about shingles. Tell
me about shingles and how do they affect you and
how long did effects you?

Speaker 3 (19:02):
All right, Gene, thank you for your phone call.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Well, shingles is of course, it's caused by the same
virus as the chicken pox virus, Herpes exhauster it's called
In fact, shingles occur as an approximately ten percent of
people who previously had chicken pox. Some people debate, you
know what percentage it is, but that's I guess the
prevailing thought. There's also an age factor with shingles risk. Unfortunately,

(19:31):
the older you get, the higher the risk of shingles
if you had that exposure to it. Roughly half of
all shingles cases occur in people who are fifty years
of age or older. The sufferer experiences sometimes these rashes
or these blisters on the skin anywhere on the body

(19:53):
usually but normally you see it as it often wraps
around the left.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
Or right side of the Torso those are.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
The ones that I've seen, even though I had a
lady one time in my practice who had shingles in
her eye. Are optic nerve god infected and that is
that is really really risky and can cause blindness. So
it can be problematic sometimes gene that can last for
a month or longer. Thankfully, there is shingles natural treatments,

(20:20):
including foods that you can eat to boost your immune system.
You should avoid things like sugar overall. Anything you can
do to boost the immune system go a long way
to preventing this from ever occurring. Excellent ways to help
shingles those take black elderberry extract. That's the number one recommendation,
black elderberry extract.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
You should be taking.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Vitamins, d AC and zinc. I've also had good success
with olive leaf extract and l lyzine. Typically these lesions
are closed after a while, and then when that happens,
use hot maths or hot water bottles to get relief,
or you can use a topical capsias and cream.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
Thanks for the phone call, Jane. Good health to you.

Speaker 8 (21:02):
Everybody's got a fain mistakes, but everybody's got a choice
to make.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
Everybody needs a leap of faith. Monny taking you us money,
you infote sound and I welcome.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
You or welcome you back to this hour of the
Doctor Bob Martsin Show.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
Thank you so very much for tuning into the program.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
We'll let you know if you're unaware that we have
a health pole question over on my website. I'd love
for you to give us your opinion of the state
of Florida becomes the first state to back the removal
of fluoride in tapwater. Here's the health pole question you'll see.
Are you in favor of a nationwide band on fluoride
in tapwater?

Speaker 3 (21:52):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (21:52):
Or no?

Speaker 2 (21:53):
Please vote on my website at doctor Bob dot com.
Spell out the word doctor octor Bob dot com.

Speaker 3 (22:04):
Now, I want to also give you a heads up.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
This week's health outrage of the week is listener discretion
is advised. I'm giving you an opportunity should you have
young and impressionable people in the room. Even though this
is a family show and we keep it absolutely politically correct,
but there may be some element to this week's health
outrage of the week coming up that you may not

(22:29):
want your children to hear about. So if you have
them in the room, you might want to just ask
them to go outside and play for a little while. Okay,
you're duly warned. But first, before we get to the
health outrage of the week, I want to remind you
that this doctor, my entire family, every healthcare practitioner that

(22:49):
I know that is aware of how important it is
to keep the oral health of our bodies healthy because
it affects every other part of your body. If you
start suffering with tooth aquae and gingevitis and periodontal disease
and bad breath, that means something that is the pathway
to other parts of your body that can stress your body,
inflame your body, and generate other problems aside from what's.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
Going on in your mouth.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
And this is exactly why I and my colleagues who
understand this use Spry Spry toothpaste and Spry mouth rents,
mint and gums.

Speaker 3 (23:26):
And here's why.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
If you are as uptight as I am about even
the thought of going to a dental provider. I personally
have had some bad experiences as a child, so I
get sweaty palms and high blood pressure every time I
think about it. But yet I still like my dentist,
and I like my dental hygienis, and I go there
for regular maintenance, for cleaning, deep cleaning of that and
all that. But I want to get good news when

(23:48):
I'm there, And that's why I use the Spry Dental
Defense System with Spry toothpasted and Spry mouth rents, because
it's better than those other commercial and tooth based and
mouth rens is which destroy your microbiome in your mouth,
and all the chemicals in Crest and Colgate and all
those big box toothpastes that have been in the market.

(24:09):
If you ever read the label, all those things yuck.
Try the Spry system, the Spry Dental Defense System. Your
teeth are gonna be squeaky clean, your breath fresh. They
come in different flavors, peppermint, cinnamon, spearmint, the Secret Sauce,
which is really not a secret because it's science based
on xylotol used by millions of people Xylotol is a

(24:32):
plant based ingredient in Spry toothpaste and mouthrens, gum and mints.
It is anti cavity, anti plaque, anti bad news. The
next time you're in the dental hygenus chair or the
dentist's office and they peer into your mouth and whisper, oh,
got bad news for you. You need a filling root, canal
or crowd. No, no, no, you won't need that stuff.

(24:56):
Perhaps if you use the Spry Dental Defense System you'll
love it.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
I do, and so does my family.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
Spray Dental Defense is available at CBS, rit eight pharmacies,
Target vitamin shops, Sprouts, and all finer health food stores,
or you can go directly to the website Clear That's
x l e a R. To find out more about
the Spry s p r Y Dental Defense system, which
includes the toothpaste, mouth rints, et cetera. Stuff's amazing. They

(25:26):
are the same makers of the Clear nasal sprays that
I rely on everywhere I travel with the Rescue Nasal
Spray by Clear. All right, it is time now for
the health outrage of the week.

Speaker 7 (25:42):
She's don't.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
Come on each time for the health outradge because it's
nothing bullet.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
It is outrageous and it's painful for me to even
tell you about. But man went to a medical clinic.
A man went to a medical clinic for fatigue.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
He was tired.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
What they did got him in the biggest malpractice lawsuit
payout in history. He goes in for fatigue, they mess
him over, and he got the biggest malpractice payout in history.

Speaker 3 (26:16):
Listen to this.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
A man in New Mexico has been awarded the biggest
malpractice medical malpractice payout in history after doctors irreversibly damaged
his penis. The patient, who has not been named, was
fraudulently cond into, fraudulently conned into having unnecessary injections into

(26:40):
his genitalia by a clinic that preyed on elderly men.
He can no longer get an erection and must sit
down to urinate because his well, just call it his package.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
From here on out.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
His package has become enveloped in thick scar tissue. The victim,
who is sixty six years young at the time, had
visited New Male Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, seeking
treatment for fatigue and weight loss. That was his first
mistake by the way seeking care from a healing art

(27:17):
which is poorly equipped to handle non life threatening conditions
benign chronic lifestyle generated health challenges. That was his first mistake,
but I digress now. According to the lawsuit filed in
twenty twenty, the man was coaxed into getting invasive erectile
dysfunction shots to his package multiple times a week, even

(27:39):
though ladies and gentlemen he went in for fatigue and
weight issues. The lawsuit claims that the injections caused permanent
damage to the man's package. Lawyers representing the plane of
said his impotence is permanent and the damage is completely irreversible. Now,

(28:00):
a week ago, after a four year legal battle, the now.

Speaker 3 (28:06):
What is he to be? Seventy two?

Speaker 2 (28:08):
He's been awarded four hundred and twelve million dollars in damages.

Speaker 3 (28:13):
Excellent.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
Good for him, the largest medical malpractice payout from a
jury in US history. I wish more people would step
up and do that when they're injured in a medical
setting like this. The second biggest medical malpractice lawsuit was
when a former basketball player, Alan Navarro, remember him, was
awarded two hundred and sixteen point seven million dollars when

(28:36):
doctors in Florida misdiagnosed his stroke as a headache, leaving
him with brain damage. Lorie Benco, one of the lawyers
who represented the plaintiff, said, it's a national record setting case.
It's righteous because I don't think there's any place for
licensed medical doctors professionals to be defrauding patients for money.

Speaker 3 (29:01):
For the sake of money, this is a.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
Very egregious breach of fiduciary duty, that breach of trust,
and anytime someone is wearing the white coat, they shouldn't
be allowed to do that. I couldn't agree more. Now,
these clinics, these new male clinics, you should be aware
that they are located in the states of Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, Nebraska,

(29:29):
North Carolina, and Wisconsin. Of course, in Albuquerque is where
this clinic was located. Where this man who went in
for fatigue and weight loss, and suddenly they talked him
into getting these injections in his package and they maimed
the man, the man for life. So sir, enjoy the

(29:50):
four hundred and twelve million dollars. And that, ladies and gentlemen,
is why I qualified it as the health outrage of
the whea. I'm Doctor Bob Martin.

Speaker 8 (30:04):
So good, I'm above service number simoncible they have one

Speaker 2 (31:06):
All right, let's go now to this week's installment of
the Product Recall of the Week. Sunfed Produce recalls whole
fresh American cucumbers because of the possibility of health risks
due to salmonella poisoning. Sunfed Produce is recalling all sizes
of whole fresh American cucumbers. Recalled cucumbers were sold between

(31:31):
October twelfth through November twenty sixth and are being recalled
because they have a potential to be contaminated with salomonella.
Salmonella is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes
fatal infections in young children, frail people or elderly people,
and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with

(31:51):
salomonella often experience fever, diarrhea, which may be bloody, nausea, vomiting,
abdominal pain, and in rare circumstances, the infection with salomon
can result in organisms getting into the bloodstream and producing
more severe illness, such as arterial infections, infected aneurism, into carditis,
even arthritis. And symptoms may start as early as six

(32:13):
hours to six days after eating the infected food and
last abouts four to seven days. So if you have
purchased and have laying around sun fed produce cucumbers, chucked
those babies.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
Those cucumbers were.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
Sold in states like Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, conduct Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri,
New Jersey, Boy they really distributed good New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin,

(32:52):
and even even in Canadian provinces. So chuck the sun
fed cucumbers and tel further notice this week's product recall
of the week.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
All right, let's go back to.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
Your telephone calls and questions now. Next up is Dan
calling in from New Jersey.

Speaker 6 (33:14):
Good afternoon, doctor Bob, pleasure of an honor. My name
is Dane, New Jersey, and I'm interested in asking you
in regards to a high calcium score which was over
eight hundred just recently. I'm not overweight, blood pressure is good.
E ekg's good. I'm sixty five years old.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
Okay, Dan, thank you for your call.

Speaker 2 (33:40):
Well, first of all, he's talking about a calcium heart
score test, folks. It's a worthwhile diagnostic tool engaging the
health of your heart, no question about it. It can
detect when a person with no heart related symptoms might
be facing a high risk of heart attack in the
next five I think five.

Speaker 3 (33:57):
Years or so.

Speaker 2 (33:59):
The test is un with an X ray, a ct
a cat scan, if you will, and it measures the
amount of calcified plaque in the coronary arteries. Now, plaque
builds up in the coronary arteries and is often incorporated
into calcium into plaque. This leads to hardening of the

(34:19):
arteries and could eventually lead to the blockages that will
cut off the heart supply of blood and therefore oxygen. Therefore,
am I therefore heart attack. Keep in mind that about
fifty percent of men at about sixty four percent of
women who die suddenly from coronary artery disease have no

(34:39):
prior symptoms whatsoever, So in a calcium score CT scan,
what they're looking for is hard plaque. Hard plaque refers
to plaque build up in the arteries that contain calcium
and is visible on the scan, while the real predator
here and the real risk, is soft plaque. Soft plaque

(35:01):
is a plaque build up that lacks calcium and therefore
cannot be directly detected by the standard calcium score CT scan,
making it considerable lead, more unstable, and more risky.

Speaker 3 (35:16):
It's invisible to the.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
Test, so soft plaque folks is generally considered more dangerous
because it can rupture more easily than the hard plaque.
And with his score, who knows how much soft plaque
and hard plaque he's out. We already know he's over
the top with the hard plaque being having an eight
hundred calcium heart score, you may want to Dan consider

(35:39):
consulting with a cardiologist trained in functional medicine, lifestyle medicine,
or holistic medicine to obtain a second opinion. You would
be well served by finding a doctor who can.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
Search for the reasons for your.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
Calcium plaque build up, because if you live ahead wealth
the lifestyle, as you have pointed out just briefly, there
there's got to be a reason. And many of these
reasons why these plaques occur is because some of them
are caused by the toxic metal build up in your body.
Could be lead, could be mercury, could be cadmium, aluminum,

(36:17):
could be something else. The toxic build up of heavy
metals can absolutely cause these plaque build ups. Inflammation caused
by something maybe an old simmering infection, maybe a root
canal in your mouth, or something in your gas or
intestinal track, or some lifestyle behavior or too much stress
over time. There's a lot of reasons for it, including,

(36:38):
and you might not relate to you, a sedentary lifestyle,
lack of proper nutrients, smoking, poor diet. All of these
can contribute to a person developing arterial plaque, atherosclerosis or
ending up with these high calcium heart score tests on
CT scans, you may need and require Dan key lay therapy.

(37:01):
Take a look at that keylation therapy spelled c H
E L A t io N. Keylation therapy would be
an option for you. I would also encourage you to
investigate doctor Dean Ornish, MD for Meal Medical School. Dean Ornish,
MD his program for reversing heart disease. You have it, sir,
There's nothing medically they can do besides trying to replumb you.

(37:24):
Look at doctor John McDougall's program. Look at doctor Terry
Shintani his book The Hawaiian.

Speaker 3 (37:32):
Diet, which will also help reverse heart disease.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
You have many choices, Dan, to address the high calcium score,
but keep in mind that conventional medicine treatments is not
geared to help reverse your calcium plaque. Meanwhile, get started
on something called chiolic age garlic extract found in Finer
health foods stores nationwide to reverse plaque in the arteries.

Speaker 3 (37:58):
And I wish you well, Dan, thank you for your call.
I'm doctor Bob Martin.

It's time now for the health mystery of the week.

(39:27):
Experts reveal natural sounds which relax you, chill you out,
and those that can send your stress levels soaring. Listening
to sounds of nature, such as bird song, reduces stress levels,
but sounds of traffic increases them. New research shows the
mystery of how sound waves impact our health. Research lends

(39:52):
support to anyone who is a firm believer in the
curative powers of a walk in the countryside or through
a forest. In a study of sixty eight volunteers listening
to three minutes of soundscape, a nature soundscape recorded at sunrise.
The soundscape combined with a twenty mile per hour road

(40:15):
traffic sounds the same soundscape with forty mile per hour
traffic sounds.

Speaker 3 (40:21):
Well.

Speaker 2 (40:21):
The general mood and anxiety were assessed before and after
the soundscapes using self reported scales. The study by scientists
at the University of West of England found that listening
to a natural soundscape reduced self reported stress and anxiety
levels and allowed good mood and good recovery after experiencing stress. However,

(40:43):
the benefits of improved mood associated with the natural soundscapes
were limited when traffic sounds were included. The natural soundscapes
alone was associated with low levels of stress and anxiety,
with the highest levels reported after the soundscape. The research

(41:04):
tallies with previous tales with research previous research that found
that sounds such as bird's song can lower blood pressure,
relax the heart and respiratory rates, as well as self
reported stress and anxiety. So the authors basically are concluding

(41:24):
that reducing traffic speed in urban areas might influence human
health and well being.

Speaker 3 (41:33):
So I think I'm.

Speaker 2 (41:34):
All for that, because the better chill state we're in,
the healthier we're going to be, and the less likely
already get sick. Mysterious how sound affects the human body.
That's why it qualified as the Health mystery of the week.

Speaker 3 (41:46):
I'm doctor Bob Martin. Be well.
