twenty two. Now you remember, perhaps that about a week
ago or so, there was all this uh clamor and
information coming out about red dye number three linked to
cancer and how they're going to finally take it out
of our foods and medicines and candies and everything else

(02:32):
after about one hundred and eighteen years of glorious ingestion
of the stuff because the FDA allowed it to happen
back in nineteen oh seven. Wow, red dye coming from petroleum.
We'll get back to that conversation momentarily, but I also
want to let you know, coming up a little bit
later in this hour, we're going to be joined by

(02:53):
a prominent physician who's going to be addressing some of
these problems that I talked about last week on the
show related to hormones, hormone imbalances in both women and men,
and the latest information I spoke about last weekend. And
if you didn't hear the show, you can certainly go

(03:13):
back and listen to it in the podcast library over
at doctor bob dot com spelling out the word doctor
d oct O r bob dot com. The first hour
of the program, I talked about how prescription drugs that
have been backed by the medical profession, medical doctors and
celebrities could raise your risk of Alzheimer's disease. We're talking

(03:38):
about hormone replacement therapy drugs HRT a lot of women
take for hot flashes and night sweats and sleeping problems
and libido problems, and males that take hormone replacement therapy.
This doctor is going to be addressing that on the
show today, So don't go anywhere. And that's coming up

(03:59):
this hour. But let's circle back to the cancer link
to red dye number three issue. Wow, it was all
over the news about a week ago. Red dye used
in thousands and thousands of candies, drinks, and other processed
foods has been banned due to its link to the

(04:23):
Big Seat cancer. Companies using this red dye number three
will have until January twenty twenty seven who remove the
red dye which creates the bright cherry like color from
their foods. The dye is present in around twenty six
percent of baking decorations and desserts toppings, sixteen percent of

(04:46):
all chewing gum and mints have it in there. You've
got about thirteen percent of all candies on the market
have red dye number three in it, which is cancerous,
and eleven percent of all the cookies and biscuits I
have this red dye number three which has been determined
to be a potential and solid cancer causing risk. Now,

(05:11):
the FDA agency that it was taking the action as
a matter of law because some studies have found the
dye caused cancer in lab rats. Wow, the FDA has
obviously been once again sleeping at the wheel. Ladies and
gentlemen in its duty to protect American public from this

(05:32):
type of risk. Oh man, oh man, Let's just hope
that Bobby Kennedy Junior, when installed as the Secretary of
Health and Human Services, dismantles the good old boys club
over there at the FDA Food and Recministration once and
for all, and we get something going somebody that's working

(05:53):
for us, not the wholly owned subsidiary of the pharmaceutical companies,
which is really what the FDA is. Companies using these
diets in drugs such as cough syrups will have until
January twenty twenty eight to remove it. Advocacy groups have

(06:15):
been pressuring the government to ban the additive in foods
for decades. In fact, thirty five years after listen to
the thirty five years after the FDA banned this same
red dye number three from cosmetics over health concerns. So

(06:35):
thirty five years ago they said, boif whatever you do,
don't we don't want any of that red dye smeared
on your face ever again. We're banning it from cosmetics,
but keep chowing down on it, no problem whatsoever, Which
tells you everything you need to know about the FDA's impotence.
The Food and Drug Administration bans banded mirrors once in

(07:01):
California that went into effect in October twenty twenty three.
There was also, by the way, a petition by the
Centers First Science and the Public Interest in twenty twenty two,
again trying to force the FDA to ban or to
get a mirror ban on this red dye. And the

(07:21):
FDA is finally taking action, they say, but they're giving
these companies a couple of years or three to get
her done, which is really and you might say to yourself, well,
I'm not consuming any red dye in my food. Hey, look,
there's it appears that there's over three thousand products we're
talking about where you can find this red dye. Now

(07:44):
I can't name all of them, but I'll name a
couple of them. Market Pantry, fruit, cocktail, Frank's Red Hot,
Buffalo Wings, sauce, Nasa candy, jelly beans. Pretty much every
jelly bean you're gonna find's got red dye in it.
Have you ever eaten jelly? Mean, how about Pillsbury Crescent
rolls or Kraft Mac and cheez. We're talking about red

(08:08):
dye number three found in very calm and very popular foods.
So you can go into any grocery store and find
what about the old Jiffy corn muffin mix. Oh yeah,
it's got the red dye number three in it that
was determined to cause cancer in rats. I'm not done yet,
Pringle's Chips, Hostess cupcakes. So you know how long that

(08:33):
dye has been out there? Remember nineteen oh seven Hostess cupcakes?
Did you are no fruit? Frozen pizza? I know a
lot of people are cringing right now. I know the
co host of this show, the man behind the scene, Phil,
the engineer, the co pilot who keeps this show from crashing,

(08:55):
he's probably cringing right now because I know he's had
some of these foods as I have. Probably you have McCormick,
Black Pepper, Lowry's seasoned Salt, Dorito's Chips, Lay's Potato chips.
If you're just tuning into the program, I'm just laying
forth the extent of which this red dye number three,

(09:20):
which has now been determined to be a cancerous food,
has been in the American food supply thanks to the
Food and Recommistration Sleeping at the wheel, I continue Dorito's chips,
Lay's potato chips. I can't tell you how many, well

(09:40):
dozens and dozens of bags that I have at one
time in my life, in a past life, of course,
woolfed down Lay's potato chips. Did I know they had
red dye number three? No? I didn't care. Did you?
You've got goldfish crackers full of red number three? Aggo waffles,

(10:05):
Quaker oats, instant oatmeal, Oh my gosh, Killogg's frosted flakes,
Choe Banni, Greek yogurt, Philadelphia cream cheese. I mean, I
could go on and on. We're talking about foods that
are very common, that are consumed by Americans every single day,
and have been consuming these foods for decades. And with

(10:30):
this die in our body, it puts just another burden
on the system. And the more you get exposed to
all these different artificial things, the worse it becomes. This
is a good argument for why we need to detoxify,
cleanse our bodies out, do exercise, get it out of
the body whenever you can. It is amazing, folks. All right,

(10:51):
our special guests coming up, stay with us. We're gonna
get into this hormone situation right after this I'm doctor
Bob Martsina, right, doctor crop march in back with you now.

(11:24):
If you liked the last segment of the program where
I was speaking about this red dye number three problem
out there that really broke about a week week and
a half ago. If you think somebody needs to hear that,
hear that segment that I did. You think they can benefit,
maybe a loved one, a family member, coworker. Do invite
them to go to the podcast library, well maybe as

(11:48):
of this coming Wednesday. By Wednesday, it should be in
the podcast library over at doctor bob dot com spelling
out the word doctor doctor bob dot com. Also, be
sure to write down are toll free nationwide number so
that you have it in case you have a question
about your health or the health of somebody you care

(12:10):
to call into this radio show on behalf of that
number for health questions. The only bad health questions is
the one you're not asking, So do use this number
that number eight hundred six zero six eight eight two
two eight hundred six zero six eighty two two or
one eight hundred six zero six eighty eight twenty two

(12:33):
website doctor bob dot com spelling out the word doctor.
There Now, as many of you know, I spoke last
weekend on the program about the breaking news about hormone
replacement therapy drugs pushed heavily by celebrities, pushed heavily by

(12:53):
the pharmaceutical industry, pushed heavily by conventional medical doctors, and
how those drugs used for menopause HRT hormone replacement therapy,
and also men take hormones as well well. The latest
out was about how they increase the risk of Alzheimer's disease.

(13:18):
That's what the latest research is. Now. I'm not going
to rehash this. I just want you to know. If
that's a concern to you, you should go back and
listen to that segment last week on the program of
the podcast Library as well, on the connection between hormone
replacement therapy and Alzheimer's disease and a whole lot of
other problems blood clots, canceer rous, all of that. Based

(13:43):
on that information that was out there a lot of
I got a lot of emails from people asking, well, well,
what do I do now, doctor Bob Okay, So I
don't want to get Alzheimer's disease just because I'm having
a hot flash or a night sweat or having some
sleep problems or low lobido. I don't want to do.
What are my options? And I thought of our special guests.
I'm gonna introduce you to now, doctor, said Moustak. When

(14:05):
you think of a topic of pollen, this ties right
into this. It kind of reminds me of you know,
you think of the word pollen, you think of seasonal allergies,
you know, like pollen count in the air, such as
that that can cause hay fever, or maybe you have

(14:28):
heard about met pollen as a food. Well, pollen is
actually produced by flowering plants, including trees, and is essential
to the ability of that plant to reproduce. So you see,
plants have a reproductive system and there's a certain amount
of hormone activity within those plants. That's how they procreate.

(14:50):
So pollen is a key element to plants and trees
their hormone system working optimally. So scientists are now finding
that consumption of something called pine pollen extract as either
in a liquid form or powdered nutritional supplement, helps rebalance

(15:13):
both women's and men's hormone systems, thereby relieving or preventing
symptoms of menopause which I just mentioned, hot flashes, night sweat, sleeplessness,
mood changes, loss of libido, or something else that men
go through when they go through hormonal changes called menopause
or erpause where they develop fatigue and loss of muscle

(15:35):
mass and man boobs, oh gosh, who wants thost man boobs,
decrease motivation, the whole list. So being able to use
something in nature such as pine pollen extract to bolster
the human hormone system and a lot of other things
is really a supplement now on the market to balance

(15:58):
this out, this dysregulation that men and women, many of
them go through, the majority go through. It's a huge
scientific breakthrough considering that conventional medicine offers these things in
a synthetic form, man made conventional HRT, which can cause
adverse side effects, which I went into last weekend on
the program From blood Clots to Cancer. So I decided

(16:20):
to ask an expert to come on the show today
to talk about how and why pine pollen extract, specifically
Canadian pine pollen extract can be used to help rebalance
our hormone system so that we don't have to rely
on risky, dangerous medical drugs. His name is doctor, said Moustock.

(16:40):
His career ban began as a research student at the
University of Toronto in nineteen ninety six. His keen interest
in natural medicine led him to complete his postgraduate studies
at the Canadian College of Nature Pathing Medicine, and since
two thousand and six, Doctor Moustak has used functional meta
us since to gain a clear advantage over conditions affecting energy,

(17:03):
cognition and hormone balance and mood. And with that let
us welcome to the Doctor Bob Martin show. Doctor, said Moustock.
Good day to you, Doctor Moustak.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
Thank you, Docain Marcane, good day to you too.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
All right, so let's get right into this. What is
pine pollen and how can it help with hormone balance?

Speaker 3 (17:30):
So pine pollen, it's the pollen that is inside the
male cones of the pine trees in contrast to the
woody female cones which bear the pine seeds. So the
pollen has the genetic material, the male genetic material of

(17:50):
the pine trees, and it's meant to inseminate the seeds
inside the female cones so that it gives rise to
the pine seeds. So it's packed with plant androgens or
plant hormones like TESTOSTERONEDHAA, which helps the germination process because
of the need of the germination process for amino acids, minerals,

(18:12):
and antioxidants. The pollen itself can be used as a
great food. It's a superfood, but also an amazing source
of an ingredient for nutritional supplements, particularly to balance hormones.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
Well, I talked about this extensively last weekend on the program,
and that big study dropped about how we're getting this
return of HRT hormone replacement therapy. Of course, years and
years ago it fell out of favor because the cancer risk,
and now we're seeing one out of four women with
this certain genetic trait are at risk of Alzheimer's disease
that take these hormone replacement therapy drugs. And there are

(18:48):
a lot of women who take these drugs and have
no clue about this. So I thought, geez, if we
can find a plant based way to support the body
in its efforts to stay in I don't stay in
equilibration and not go into this dysregulation that occurs at
about the average age of what fifty two for women,
and maybe even a little younger for men. I thought,

(19:11):
why not introduce our audience to the fact that there
are options that exist out there that may they may
never learn about through their doctors because they don't know
about it. And that's why we asked you to come
on the program today. How did you become involved in
learning about this? How did you in your medical training
figure this out?

Speaker 3 (19:34):
Well? As a notch abotic doctor, we get trained in
a lot of herbs and a lot of alternatives to
the conventional medicine. They typically they call them alternatives, but
they are the natural, the old school, the traditional medicines. Right.
So pine poland the history of it goes back to
Chinese medicine and it's always been used to promote chi,

(19:59):
which is energy, and nowadays, in the last fifteen years,
they found out that it has those andredges those testosterone.
So when I found about it, it was really exciting.
There wasn't anything else in my medicine cabinet that had
what pine pollen had, so we had to go do
some investigation and we found out that it's basically coming

(20:20):
imported from China and a lot of brands are repackaging
it here. So and I've always been wary of imports
and looked for direct, local sources. So we said, hey,
there's nobody doing it in North America, let's go and
do it. So that's where this business started. But it's
a way of helping people and bringing that traditional medicine

(20:41):
to them.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
Well, I think it's going to be well received because
people are scrambling looking for a natural hormone replacement therapy.
You're to support their body in general. We're going to
get into this folks. If you want to find out
more about it. Canadian Pine Pollen Extract at eight hundred
nine zero one four one seven one. We'll be right back.
Are you waiting on a line?

Speaker 4 (21:03):
Next take?

Speaker 5 (21:04):
Are you waiting for the perfect night? How are you
waiting to the time is night?

Speaker 6 (21:11):
Why?

Speaker 5 (21:12):
Phoe up? Don't you want to learn to deal with?
Don't you want to take the wheel and step?

Speaker 2 (21:20):
Don't you beat another man? Why?

Speaker 3 (21:24):
Wait?

Speaker 7 (21:26):
What are you in?

Speaker 2 (21:29):
Well, you're tuned into the largest radio health talk show
in America bar none, and in large part that's thanks
to you, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you so very much
for tuning into the program today. Remember, should you have
a health related question or health related comment? I'm here
for you, and I'll do my best to help you out.
All you have to do is just wind me up.

(21:49):
How do you do that? What you call our toll
free number nationwide, you'll hear me answer the phone. I'll
ask you to give your first name, first name, only
the city and state you're living in, and then your
question or your health comment that number eight hundred six
zero six eight eight two two. From headaches to hemorrhoids,
HS to shakes, pimples, to prostate problems, sign you sitis,

(22:10):
his stomach problems, anxiety you are, to arthritis. On all
points in between, you drive the conversation. So whatever's on
your mind health wise is important to me. That number again,
eight hundred six zero six eight eight two two, or
doctor Bob dot com on the internet, my website. Now
our special guest with us right now, doctor Sayid moustag

(22:33):
He is a nature pathic physician. We're here with him.
He agreed to come on the program to talk about
a subject that needs to be dealt with, and that
is the big time risks that exist when you take
hormone replacement therapy. We're talking about the synthetic stuff. We're
talking about the man made stuff. We're talking about a
very popular one that actually comes from the urine of

(22:55):
a pregnant mayor so uh. Some people are just saying, Wow,
I'm not going to give up my brain and my
cognition and who I am and my judgment and with
the risk of Alzheimer's disease. If I have just a
little hot flesh of night sweat, I'll just bear through it. Well,
you don't have to bear through that. Perhaps if you

(23:16):
know about Canadian pine pollen, a supplement in extract form,
liquid or powder that you can actually supplement with to
rebalance the disregulation that's going on that's generating those uncomfortable symptoms.
Whether you're a man or a woman going through transitions

(23:37):
of hormone changes, we all go through this. Some people
go through it more harshly. Others don't even know what happened,
like my wife. But that doesn't that's the minority of time.
And here you have, once again, in nature, something provided
that helps to alleviate these transitional times. Now I found

(23:59):
it enter doctor Moustak that you brought up the fact
of alternative medicine. Alternative medicine to me is allopathic medicine
based on the fact that traditional Chinese medicine has been
around for as you pointed out, two thousand years, and
you see iravetic medicine thousands of years old. I think

(24:22):
the alternative medicine should be based on allopathic medicine. Conventional
medicine as we know it here in the United States.
You know, don't cope, just take dope and relief is
a swallow away concept. So really we're talking here about
traditional medicine as it relates to how many thousands of
years this has been around. Because these plants have been

(24:43):
around for that long, we're just finally getting around to
seeing the science behind them and how they can help
humans in relieving some of the symptomatology that we're suffering from.
So thank you for bringing that up. Doctor mustok Now,
let's talk about doctor who can take this pine pollen extract.
Is there an age or sex restriction or is it

(25:06):
suited for both men and women the same?

Speaker 3 (25:11):
It's it's men and women the same. It's if you
take it as a powder form. They have used it
traditionally as foods, so it can be aged unlimited to
age like anyone with whatever age or sex can take it.
But as a nutritional supplement. Typically it's eighteen plus and men.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
And women, Okay, so they're going to be one.

Speaker 3 (25:35):
In fact, if someone if someone is already on HRT
hormone replacement therapy, what the pollen does, or the pollen
extract can do, is it can mitigates some of the
side effects because the pollen acts on the receptor sides,
whereas the hormone replacement just brings in the hormones into
your body. So the pollen has those plant hormones and

(25:57):
it interacts with the receptor side mitigate some of the
negative side effects of HRT as well, all.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
Right, And they're going to be people coming in and
out of this conversation. They're going to try to get
to this because they're having struggles with their hormone system.
They may be having hot flashes or night sweats, or
libido problems, or vaginal dryness or bladder problems, or men
who are fatigued and they're losing muscle mass. They don't
know what to do, and they don't want to take
synthetic hormones and they're looking for an option. Here's the option,

(26:23):
Canadian pine pollen extract. Folks. You can find it at
a toll free number at eight hundred nine zero one
four one seven one eight hundred nine zero one four
one seven one, And doctor Mustag is also offering doctor
Bob Martin show listeners discounted pricing when you order it.

(26:45):
If you go to the website Canadian Pine Pollen Forward
slash Doctor Bob Canadian Pine Pollen Forward slash doctor Bob
dot com, you will be able to get a hold
of this and save fifteen percent off of your purchase.

(27:06):
All right, eight hundred and nine zero one four to
one seven one is the easiest way to get to it, however,
and we're talking about balancing out the hormone system. That
is the key here. Now what form is better, Doctor Mustag.
Is it the tincture or the powder? And what is
the difference between the two.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
The key difference is that the tincture or or dull
extract is more of a medicine, whereas the powder is
more of a food and you need a higher dose
of it so to get the bank to get the
quick response. Diincture is designed to deliver those phytal androgens, DOT,
testosterone and DHA directly to your bloodstream, so typically within

(27:51):
a couple of weeks of taking the tincture, people start
seeing responses in terms of their energy, changes in libido,
changes in recovery. Some people notice quality of sleep improved,
where the powder might take a little bit longer three
to four weeks to have that response. So my preper
I thought me to tincture as if you're starting.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
All right, and I thought you brought something up very important,
and that is receptor sites and how this Canadian pine
pollen fits into the hormone receptor sites like a key
going into a perfect lock to unlock and allow that
to go into the system, whereas these synthetic hormones is

(28:33):
like the equivalent to breaking down the door, you know,
instead of fitting into the lock because it can't because
we don't have receptors for these synthetic drugs. So you
just kick the door down, which is what these drugs do. Now.
I didn't come up with that, you know. Originally, Doctor
John Lee, a medical doctor who's written many books and

(28:55):
I've interviewed him many times here on the program, taught
me that, and that really opened up my eyes and
me understand that once again, in nature, if you find
the right remedy for the right condition, you don't have
to pummel. You don't have to pummel the body or
force the body. You just have to give it the
raw materials that it needs, that it wants to re

(29:17):
establish homeostasis or re establish normalacy, instead of trying to
force it down because there's some type of dysregulation by
using these petrochemicals, which at the same time, you're putting
the person at a great risk of the side effects
as I talked about last weekend in the program with

(29:39):
the HRT farming replacement therapy now putting a great number
of women at risk of Alzheimer's disease. We haven't even
talked about the cancer and the blood clots. So this
is a perfect opportunity for people to look at this
and get themselves squared away. Stay tuned. We're coming right back.
I'm doctor Bob Martin.

Speaker 8 (30:03):
So us.

Speaker 9 (30:09):
So.

Speaker 6 (30:16):
I'm a bush of number, sum imposible, the one never single.

Speaker 5 (30:25):
A power I don't.

Speaker 8 (30:28):
Let's today, all right, doctor Bob, marching back with you.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
The topic is how to provide nutrients in nature that
specifically helped to balance the body in its effort to
stay healthy. And in this case, nature comes through again
with something called pine pollen extract, Canadian pine pollen extract.

(31:04):
This is something that we have studied in plants. This
is how plants, trees, particularly, they keep their hormone systems
balanced because they take in nutrients and then they process it.
And now we find that if human beings can take
this in a concentrated form, which it is now available

(31:25):
in the form of Canadian pine pollen, we too can
benefit by it. And that is why we asked our
special guest to come on the program, doctor Sayid Mustak.
Last week I did a big segment on this topic
because the news showed us that hormone replacement therapy is

(31:46):
still problematic. Now we find out and even though doctors
years ago said, oh, yeah, take hormone replacement therapy, you
have great memory, now we find out a great number
of them are at risk of Alzheimer's disease if they
take hormone replacement therapy for a certain period of time,
and many of them take it for five or more years,
and other problems. So here we have a safe and effective,
science based nutritional supplement to help balance out both men

(32:09):
and women's hormone system. Now you can find Canadian pine
pollen extract as a powder or liquid supplement by going
over to their website at Canadianpinepollen dot com forward slash
doctor Bob for a fifteen percent money saving discount Canadian

(32:31):
Pinepollen dot com forward slash doctor Bob, spell out doctor,
or you simply pick up the telephone and call them
eight hundred nine zero one forty one seventy one eight
hundred nine zero one four to one seven one to
get a hold of Canadian Pine Pollen Extract. All right,
back to doctor Mostock. What is the difference between Canadian

(32:54):
pine Pollen Extract and some of the other pollen that
may be on the market today. You mentioned something coming
out of China. What is me?

Speaker 3 (33:01):
Yeah, really, it's our sourcing. We are vertically integrated, so
we do all the processing, bottling, shipping and fulfillment out
of North America. But in contrast to other brands out there,
we also do the harvesting of the pollen in North America.
So the bulk of the pollen in the market is

(33:22):
sold under Mason Pollen or Pinus tibuliformists. These are pine
varieties that are in China. China obviously has a longer
history of production and use in traditional Chinese medicine. So
most brands, all brands other than US that have commercial

(33:42):
capacity to produce, buy the raw ingredient from China and
then make it. So that's one distinction between our pollen.
The other one is we actually have a proprietary dual
extraction method that US sonics as a way of knocking
out these molecules, so making it available in the tincture
because traditional extractions are slow, but when you use ultrasonics

(34:05):
you can actually concentrate these phytoandrogens and the hormones.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
Well, I'll take it from your company versus China any
day of the week. I tell you that. Now, what
studies are there? Scientific studies that have proven that this
works and helps people? Where's the science?

Speaker 3 (34:23):
Absolutely? So most of the science confirms the traditional Chinese medicine.
Use in traditional Chinese medicine is said that improves cheat
which is vital energy, and it helps the lung and
the heart meradian. So the clinical trials, human trials on
this are showing improved cardiovascular health. They're showing a drop
down in inflammation, better regulation of blood sugar, improved muscle

(34:47):
mass in women, half flashes, improvement half flashes and in men.
All the issues are related to prostate health. So what
are its morning directions? It's difficulty with urination that studies
are showing an improvement in that.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
Well, it's great. We're talking, folks to doctor said mustag
about a nutrient that is showing great promise and helping
to balance hormone systems of both men and women that
are out of balance. And the body's talking back in
the form of symptoms, whether it be hot flashes, night sweats,
sleep problems, drive, aginal air bladder problems, and women men

(35:30):
have trouble with major fatigue, muscle loss, loss of motivation.
That's another sign of male hormone problems. They don't really know.
And yet here you have a nutrient that is drug
free and has been studied and used historically for thousands
of years. This is traditional medicine. The other petrochemical stuff

(35:53):
is the alternative stuff. And I don't like the alternative stuff. Suddenly, okay,
so we're talking about Canadian pine pollen extract. You can
get it in powder or liquid form to rebalance the
hormone system. And not only as doctor Moostog has announced there,
not only does it help with that, all the other
areas because it is packed full of nutrition that your

(36:17):
body needs that can use as raw materials. So if
there's problems with blood sugar inflammation, you're not healing fast
from injuries, perhaps the Canadian pine polant extract can get
the job done for you. Now tell me, we've just
got a little bit till break about well, let's do this.
Let's wait until the break, and when we come back,

(36:37):
Doctor Moostog, I'm gonna ask you the final question today,
and that has to do because we've been focusing mostly
on women here, but men. I want to talk about
Canadian pine polt extract and how that can help men
in general. Because last week I also talked about women extensively.
We'll have that when we come back. You're tuned into

(36:58):
the Doctor Bob Martin Show.

Speaker 10 (37:01):
I must stay conscious through the maness en ca.

Speaker 8 (37:10):
So I call.

Speaker 10 (37:11):
On my angels a say oh, it's a little doctor
doc do it.

Speaker 5 (37:21):
Victory is in your body.

Speaker 2 (37:23):
In the you know, and you'll just find you're turned
into the Doctor Bob Martson's show. This is our final
segment this hour, but don't go anywhere because next hour
I am going to be talking about a topic that
we really need to discuss dementia explosion linked to one

(37:44):
of America's favorite foods. Oh wait until you hear this.
That's coming up, So don't go anywhere. Our special guest
this hour is doctor said Moustag. We're talking about how
Canadian pine pops, an extract either in powder or liquid form,
can rebalance the human body to smooth things out in

(38:06):
the hormone system with people who are having dysregulation or
having symptomatology where their body is going through either menopause, perimenopause, postmenopause,
or andropause as in the case of male issues male
hormone problems. Now, last question, Doctor Sayid Mustag, tell me

(38:30):
what the Canadian pine pollen extract can do for men
in general.

Speaker 3 (38:38):
So, doctor Bob, in three words, it would be energy, stamina,
and recovery. And that's for everyone, but particularly to man.
You're adding a plant source of anabolic hormones testosterone, DHDA
andressino dione, so in an extract form in a quick
absorbed solution. If you're an athletic, younger athletic man, that

(39:00):
benefit will show itself in terms of improved and performance,
bulk strength. And if you're an aging man, which you know,
all those three things, energy, stamina, and recovery all welcome.
But as men age, they go through andropause and it
shows up on the prostate and their libido and erections.

(39:21):
So as an aging man, the clinical studies and trials
that are showing science is showing that it's going to
improve the prostate health.

Speaker 2 (39:33):
All right, boy, I love products increasing your own products.
I love products that are in Chinese medicine called amphoteric,
which means because you and I have both studied acupuncture,
that when you take a product like this, it can
work both It can work in both sexes, both men
and women, because the body just needs the raw material
to rally against whatever's out of balance, which is a

beautiful thing. Folks. You can find Canadian Pine Pollen Extract

(46:03):
All right, as promised, I'm going to be talking now
about how dementia. There's been an explosion in dementia. Now
linked to one of America's favorite foods, knowing that it's
related and science is proving that this food could increase
your risk of dementia, losing your ability to remember things,

(46:29):
your cognitive skills, your executive function thinking, and all of that.
You might think about this a little bit and then
we're going to get to that shortly here, and then
we're going to go to phone calls that have come
in people looking for help. And that's what this show
is dedicated to. It's what it's all about, getting and

(46:52):
giving help to people in need of help as it
relates to health and wellness. And again, I want to
thank said Moustog last hour for providing his expertise in
helping men and women find a safer, science based alternative

(47:14):
to hormone replacement therapy by using something called Canadian pine
pollen extract. And if you missed that hour last Hour,
by all means, hit the podcast library over at doctor
Bob dot com to hear that entire hour, because before
we brought doctor Said Mousdog on the air, I also

(47:35):
discussed the all important topic that hit about a week
week and a half ago about how red dye number
three in foods and medicines and candies. There's a linkage
of cancer there, and I did a big segment on that,
so you might want to listen to that. It's in
the podcast library over at doctor Bob dot com. All right,

(47:57):
let's get into this is breaking news about dementia explosion,
and it is exploding in the United States, there's no
question about it, but is now linked to one of
America's favorite food one of my favorite foods. About all
fifty years ago was the last time that I consumed

(48:17):
red meat. Oh my gosh, this is going to hurt
the feelings. There might be a bruise tomorrow. Eating too
much steak and bacon may raise the risk of dementia
later in life. A government funded study is now suggesting

(48:37):
Harvard researchers looked at one hundred and thirty three thousand
adults for over four decades. They studied them and evaluated
how much processed and how much unprocessed red meats they
ate on an average basis per day. And I got

(49:01):
to tell you that when I grew up in the Midwest,
we had red meat three times a day. We had
bacon in the morning, we had hamburgers at lunch, and
we had steak at night, three times a day. I
ate red meat until I was about I think around
age twenty one is the end of my red meat
eating days. Age twenty one once I learned the same

(49:26):
thing that I'm now telling you, but I didn't know
that it caused an increase in dementia to eat red meat.
I just gave it up for a whole bunch of
other reasons. Now I'm not a vegetarian. I certainly do
consume fish and poultry, but no red meat, no pork,
no beef. These researchers found eating one serving of processed

(49:50):
red meat roughly two slices of bacon. By the way,
you have an option. You can have turkey bacon, turkey
sausage instead of beef for pork. It's out there, it's organic.
Find it, look at natural grocery stores. But in their case,
these researchers, they found that eating just one serving of
processed red meat roughly two slices of bacon, or a

(50:12):
single sausage made from either beef or pork, was linked
to a thirteen percent increased risk of dementia. Nobody wants dementia.
You want to have a working mind all the way.
To the end right, not your head please. Well, this
particular study concluded that someone could cut the risk of

(50:35):
getting the memory robbing disorder of dementia by a whopping
twenty eight percent by replacing a single portion a day
of processed red meat with the same amount of fish.
Can you say salmon, you know we're talking about wild

(50:57):
caught salmon. Perhaps that's probably one of the better options,
but there are others, of course, and you don't have
to give up the red meat if you don't want
to just start ushering it out. It was hard for
me to get off red meat. I can tell you
that I went through a lot of mental torment because
when you're eating it three times a day for like

(51:18):
twenty years, and you say no more, that's it. You're
scrambling psychologically and physically, you think, and then everything's just
fine and you learn that you can survive. Well. This
particular research team more controversial finds that they talked about
here was that consuming at least one serving of unprocessed

(51:41):
meat let's say sirloin's steak or ground beef that would
be like a hamburger or lamb, for example, was linked
to a sixteen percent increased chance of you losing your
ability to have optimal cognition and thinking and memory. It

(52:03):
starts declining. We're talking about loss of memory, loss of concentration,
loss of judgment. That's what dementia and the worst form
of dementia horses. Alzheimer's disease, and these symptoms of loss
of memory, loss of concentration, loss of judgment, they're precursors
to dementia, the worst of which being Alzheimer's dementia and

(52:25):
red meat. According to this study on one hundred and
thirty three thousand men and women over forty years, that's
what they determined. It's not me saying this. It is
well known that red meat eaten into excess is linked
to colon cancer. That's well known because of the chemicals

(52:46):
added to the meat and the preservatives that are produced
when it's cooked. But this team at Massachusetts General Brigham
Young say there is evidence eating too much process or
red meat may contribute put it on the list to dementia. Now,

(53:06):
so there's the question, will you cut back, cut back,
way back on red meat and place of something else.
We'll get back into this after this break. You won't
want to miss it. This is a big topic America
is one of America's favorite foods causing a dementia explosion.
Red meat will get into it. The rest of it.

(53:28):
I'm doctor Bob Martin.

Speaker 9 (53:49):
Someone gonna stand by You're tea into the Doctor Bob
Martin Show.

Speaker 2 (54:09):
Thank you for that. So glad you dropped in today
to learn about health and wellness. And I know that
when you learn something that you may be doing that
you enjoy and that you've been doing a long time,
and you learn something that may be slightly negative or

(54:30):
not pleasant to learn about, it can be harsh. I
don't want this to be harsh. I want you to
know that if you eat red meat once in a while,
it's not going to be any big deal. It's not
get the large picture here, meaning and these researchers are
pointing it out. We're talking about the recent findings about
an explosion linked to dementia with people consuming red meat,

(54:57):
a lot of red meat each day, which I did
growing up up living in the Midwest. It's what you do.
You have entire freezer in the basement full of carcass
that your parents go down, dig out and throw it
on a barbie, and that's what you do. You eat it.
As a child, I didn't know any better. I had
nothing else served up. But when I learned about the risks,

(55:22):
I started to modify my behavior in terms of eating
and started shifting away from red meat and more to
a plant based diet. You can too, if you choose to,
but don't do it just because I said do it,
because the research out there is so strong, so compelling

(55:43):
that red meat increases not only colon cancer that has
solidly been determined, and constipation because it has zero fiber
in it, and a lot of the beef in the
United States, of course, is full of hormones and antibiotic
God only knows what else. So now you have experts,

(56:04):
of course, learning about this study about one of America's
favorite foods twenty eight percent. Wow, and how this can
be according to these researchers, how it can be a
determent to your brain long term. And of course now
you have on top of that the naysayers who are

(56:26):
going to come in behind it and say no, no, no.
And of course the beef industry is going crazy now
because it's going to affect their bottom line, and they
course higher experts to say, oh no, no, no. The studies
are flawed. With this recent research on unprocessed red meats
or processed red meats, it's only observational and they don't

(56:48):
account for the other lifestyle factors. Well, you're talking about
one hundred and thirty three thousand people over four decades,
and finally they come up with the answer, and that
is that if the more red meat you eat, the
more dementia risk you have. Who wouldn't be yielding to
that science. But a strength of the new research is

(57:12):
that it analyzed people who answered detailed questions on their
diet every two to four years and who were tracked
to see if they got dementia for decades up to
forty three years. Processed red meats contain things like nitrates.
There's where the colon cancer comes in, added as a

(57:35):
preservative to keep it from going bad or turning to
what it really looks like, which is gray instead of
the red meat they want you to see in the
meat counter at the grocery store. You like to see
it nice and red and nice and shiny, just think
that it's fresh. It's not those preservatives that go into

(57:55):
these meats keep them like that, which may cause molecule
called free radicals to get out of control and damage
your body, your colon, your brain. Plus the high salt
content of these foods like bacon, can also lead to
high blood pressure, damaging blood vessels, reducing blood flow to

(58:16):
the brain, and leading to vascular dementia, the second most
common form of dementia behind Alzheimer's disease. Now, the study
was published in the journal Neurology. If you want to
look it up, if you're a naysayer on this, because
believe me, if somebody would have handed me this when
I was like eighteen years of age and I was
still eating meat three times a day, I would have said, ah,

(58:38):
that's nonsense. I've been eating red meat for eighteen years
and I'm still upright, my eyes still open in the morning.
These there are going to be people who are saying,
right now, I've been eating red meat for fifty years.
I'm good. Look at me. Well, this study you can
look it up for yourself. Published in the journal Neurology,
looked at the data on health professionals in the US

(59:00):
who signed up for the research studies in middle age.
The results of the study suggest someone someone's brain was
nearly two years older based on cognitive function for an
extra portion of processed red meat they ate per day.
So red meat, the more you eat, the more it

(59:23):
ages your brain. Prematurely ages your brain. Nobody wants a
prematurely aged brain. Do you you want to have lights
out in the brain early on? I don't. I want
to be like these people that I talked to that
are in their nineties, that are sharpest tax or over that.
We had a doctor on, doctor Gladys McGarry, God rest

(59:44):
her soul, one hundred and two years of age, a
medical doctor and sharp as attack until the very end.
And that's the way it should be. That's the way
it ought to be, if you take good care of
yourself and you pay attention to these things. Red meat
part of the smoking gun behind red meat. When it

(01:00:04):
is digested, the body produces a substance called TMAO that's
the initials for trimethylene and oxide TMAO, which can be
tested in your bloodstream, and if it's high, scientists believe
it may contribute to the build up of proteins in
the brain seen in dementia. One of the researchers, doctor Wang, said,

(01:00:27):
reducing how much red meat a person eats and replacing
it with other protein sources and plant based options could
be included in dietary guidelines to promote cognitive health. Currently,
there's around eight million Americans currently having some form of dementia,
and they're around five hundred thousand new cases that are

(01:00:49):
diagnosed every single year. However, those who steer clear of
red meat also are more likely to exercise, quit smoking,
and add more fruits and veggies to their diets. And
so folks that take away here is this, eat less

(01:01:11):
red meat in case this research is accurate as it
relates to putting you at a greater risk of dementia,
and try to, whenever possible, eat more, and if you
do eat red meat, try to go out and get
organic red meat. If you're going to do it, when
you do it, so that you know that it's not

(01:01:32):
pumped full of hormones and antibiotics and other chemicals that
can derail your body functioning optimally, and by all means,
be sure whatever you do avoid processed red meats and
try to find fresh fish like salmon and other fish

(01:01:54):
that are low in mercury, and eat more organic poultry
like turkey, Eat clean wild caught fish, and use when
possible these plant based proteins which are available, And when
we get later into the show, to the closer to

(01:02:16):
the last hour of the show and into the Health
Alternative of the Week, you're going to learn what doctor
Bobby eats a lot of Oh yeah, you're going to
learn what I replaced in my diet substantially in place
of the red meat I was eating three times a day.
Because when you learn about these things and what they

(01:02:40):
can do to you, it sort of like takes you
into a whole new way of thinking, and it is
not easy to get away from habits that you've been
involved in for decades. Trust me, it was tough for
me to contemplate never eating red meat in my life
again at age about twenty twenty one, which is when
it happened, and for me when I switched out of that.

(01:03:02):
So it's been like fifty years since I've had read me.
I don't miss it because there's plenty of other things
to chow down on to get your protein, and we
just talked about some of it. I'll get into some
more of it next hour, and especially during the Health
Alternative of the Week, You're going to learn substantially what

(01:03:23):
my diet is all about and how I maintain optimal health,
and you may want to consider it, So stick around
when we come back from this break. However, we've got
a couple of messages to get a hold up here,
and we'll get to your phone calls and your question,
So stick around. You're tuned into the Doctor Bob Martin Show.

your calls and questions in a minute. But I wanted
to let you know about something called palmatoy lethanolamine. Palmatoy lethoonolamine.
Say that five times in a row. Otherwise it should
be known as PEA for short. The initials pea palmonitory

(01:06:07):
ethanolamine is a substance in nature pea for short. It's
a special nutrient and it's found in very very tiny
quantities in egg yolks and other foods. And before I
tell you what it's for and what this nutrient is

(01:06:27):
showing incredible scientific promise when you take it in supplemental form, pea,
we're talking about. Think about this as you age. As
I age, I noticed that little tweaks injuries in the back,
in the knee and the elbow. When you do things
and you overextend yourself, you just don't heal as fast

(01:06:47):
as you used to when you were in your early
age and your teens, in your twenties, maybe in your
thirties and suddenly those injuries take like twice as long
to get over and you're dragging around. Well, this pea
nutrient can help with that. Scientific research shows that pea
can address muscle pain and recovery arthritis symptoms. It can

(01:07:12):
improve your mobility, even your cognitive health. And you're a
multitude of other health conditions, including allergies and respiratory symptoms,
even fibromyalgia. This pea supplement can help with that. And
it's because of its anti inflammatory actions of pea. Researchers
have investigated its ability to relieve pain in a variety

(01:07:34):
of conditions including sciatica neuropathy, TMJ or temporal mendibular joint problems,
jaw problems, just to name a few. Plus in scientific
research on the most common form of arthritis, osteoarthritis, the
supplement pea lowered levels of inflammatory markers, slow damage of cartilage,

(01:07:58):
and reduced knee swelling. So if you're looking to improve
your overall health, considers supplementing with pea by Terry Naturally vitamins.
It's available in health food stores nationwide. Pea by Terry
Naturally Vitamins for relief of both acute and chronic pain,

(01:08:19):
better physical recovery from those little injuries that just don't

in Orlando, Florida.

Speaker 11 (01:09:27):
This is Kristen from Orlando. The other day, you were
talking about people having problems with colonoscopies. What do you
suggest Are you suggesting that people don't get klenoscopies to
look for colon cancer. They can't be right. Someone had

(01:09:47):
mentioned they had problems with a polyp bleeding or something
after they removed it, and you said something to the
effect of that you shouldn't get colonoscopy or any That
doesn't make sense. Please answer me on the air.

Speaker 2 (01:10:05):
Okay, Kristen, Well, thank you for your phone call. First
of all, you may want to go back and re
listen to that conversation that I had with another caller.
I would never tell somebody directly not to get a colonoscopy.
I would only tell myself to do that because I
will never ever have a colonoscopy, no way, not after
I've learned what I've learned about colonoscopies. But for you,

(01:10:28):
if you want to get colonoscomies, you have the prerogative
for that, you know, so I would never tell anybody
to do that. But what you should do is learn
about colonoscopies before you endeavor down that path, that slippery slope. Actually,
I educate people on my website about this very topic,

(01:10:49):
and you can go to doctor Bob dot com my website,
and up at the very top of the page, you'll
see a little tab that says self help, and just
click on that and you'll see a drop down that
says colonoscopy. Click on that and you will be able

(01:11:10):
to read the top thirty things to know before choosing
colonoscopy the thirty things to know. These thirty things to
know before choosing colonoscopy are not told to patients who
are getting ready to have a colonoscopy. Doctors would be
there with their patients too long, and they have so

(01:11:31):
many minutes to get or done, like you know, six
to maybe ten minutes on each visit going from and
summer longer obviously, and some are shorter, but they just
don't have the ability or the desire to go through
the top thirty three things that people should know before
choosing a colonoscopy. But I put that on the website
for the very reason over there at doctor Bob dot

(01:11:53):
com and you'll see the page title self help, then
the drop down on colonoscopy. My point is, colonoscopy can
find potential serious coal alesions before they get worse. Yes, However,
there's no guarantee it will spot cancer. There's no guarantee.

(01:12:16):
In fact, if you go back and look at the history,
if somebody called by the name of Tony Snow, I
don't know if you remember Tony Snow or not. American
journalist and press secretary to President George W. Bush. He
had a history and his family of colon cancer. Father, brother,

(01:12:37):
they all had colon cancer. So he was paranoid about
ever developing colon cancer. So what did he do. He
had colonoscoby's done like almost every six months or even
more than that. And they every time they did a
colonoscopy on him, and he went through all that drink
that you have to drink that purges everything, and all
this stuff that you have to do. Horrible, horrible. Uh.

(01:12:58):
He eventually got colon cake cancer and they told him
that every six months he had normal, normal colonoscopy. Yeah, Tony,
it's normal, normal normal. Oh, by the way, you have
colon cancer now after having many years where the colon colonoscopies.
So there's no guarantee. Just learn the top thirty things
to know before you get it, if you choose to

(01:13:20):
get it. That's all I'm saying. There's benefits. There's risks.
That's the key, Kristen. But I do appreciate your phone call,
and that's just that easy to call in ladies and gentlemen.
It's the Doctor Bob Martin show.

Speaker 8 (01:14:03):
So you s.

Speaker 2 (01:14:09):
So I'm a bush of.

Speaker 6 (01:14:18):
A number, sumimpencible.

Speaker 2 (01:14:22):
The one never single is a power.

Speaker 10 (01:14:28):
I don't I'm stoppa love today.

Speaker 2 (01:14:37):
All right, doctor Bob, marching back with you, taking phone
calls on the topic of health and hopefully knocking them
out of the park. That's the goal. That's my desire
to help as many people as I can and be
as accurate as I can. Oh yeah, I'm opinionated, there's
no question about it. I'll tell you the truth. I'm

(01:14:58):
not going to hold anything back. But whatever decision you
make on behalf of yourself is your decision to make.
I'm just here to sort of guide you along and
give you information that you may not otherwise have. And
therefore you only have maybe half of the information you
need to make a good decision, and it's better to

(01:15:19):
get the complete picture. It's called due diligence. I mean,
people spend more time investigating purchasing an automobile or a
refrigerator than they do investigating things about their health, as
in buying a product or seeing a specific doctor or
having a specific procedure done. They'll spend more time investigating

(01:15:42):
a car purchase and a refrigerator than those things. And
yet these inanimate objects like a car or a refrigerator
can be replaced. It's just about money. Whereas if you
go to a doctor, or you have a procedure done,
or you take a drawug or you do something medical,

(01:16:02):
it may be the last thing you ever do. So
it's important to investigate and perform due diligence when it
comes to the most important thing in your life, your
most precious thing, your health, your wellness. That's key. We
take it so often for granted, and we really shouldn't.
And I'm just as guilty in the past of doing

(01:16:24):
that too, And I hope you can learn from my
errors and the errors of others. All right, now, let's
get back to your telephone calls. By the way, we
a week or so ago, we had a little or
toll free number into the show. There was some technical difficulty.
We have straightened that out now and we have our

(01:16:45):
usual toll free number into the program, just like the
last caller, Christen, who called in from Orlando, Florida. You
can call into the program with your health question or
your health comment. If you see or hear something on
the show you want to comment on, or things along
that line, you may call. Here's the number to have.
Keep this just in case you need to have that

(01:17:08):
conversation with doctor Bob margin It is free ninety nine.
The number is eight hundred six zero six eight a
two two eight hundred six zero six eight eight two two.
And remember the website doctor Bob dot com because that's
where all news health news related information is that I

(01:17:30):
post up there for your learning and your entertainment. You
can also find pathways to see what I'm posting up
on Instagram x and LinkedIn over there on the website
at doctor Bob dot com. And if you ever miss
a show there, it is in the podcast library. It's
all there. Eight hundred six to zero six eight eight
two two the number. Now, let's get back to work.

(01:17:53):
Next up, we say hello to Terry in Anchorage, Alaska.

Speaker 4 (01:17:59):
Kerry, Anchored, Alaska. I have a similar problem to one
of your callers, numbness on my left and it used
to be up and down both arms. Doctor has done
several MRIs early. The youngest doctor I talked to said,

(01:18:24):
I have a bones for sticking into my spine, but
there's nothing wrong with my diss talk to another next surgeon.
He warned me that I might need multiple next surgeries.
I do have stenosis. He wants to do a four
five six fusion. I guess to relieve the pain. In

(01:18:45):
order to get that done, my insurance wants me to
do multiple weeks of physical therapy prior to even approving
the surgery. But they know if there's any advice you
have one.

Speaker 7 (01:19:04):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:19:06):
All right, Terry from Anchorage. We go from Florida to
Alaska here on the Doctor Bob Martin Show. Look, I'm
so glad you called into the program, Terry, because the
very last thing you ever need to consider is next surgery.
Next surgery is serious, serious stuff, and there's no turning
back from next surgery. You'll never be the same, You'll

(01:19:28):
have extreme limitations. But of course your doctors are trying
to think benefit risk here. They're believing that you're so
far gone with the degenerative joint disease in your neck
that all they have to do is they want to
stabilize it now so it doesn't get any worse. I
don't know how it can get any worse based on
what you're describing, but I think you can avoid it
if you get to the right care and physical therapy

(01:19:50):
is probably not going to hit the mark. That's just
the insurance company just slowing you down on your trek
towards a big ticket eye that they're going to have
to pay for. They're just hoping and praying. They're doing
a hell Mary No. What you should do is find
a chiropractor, a chiropractic physician that knows about DRX nine

(01:20:11):
thousand necktraction to try to avoid neck fusion surgery DRX
nine thousand necktraction. Also, you can use low force instruments
chiropractic instruments. One is called activator methods on people who
have what you have successfully, and then you need to

(01:20:32):
get a at home cervical traction unit cervical pillow. I
would also try acupuncture, massages. There be anything you can
try before ever considering next surgery, which can be a
total disaster. There's no guarantee it'll help you and you
it could even paralyze you. So DRX nine thousand nettractions

(01:20:53):
what you need to look into. Terry, thank you for
your call. I wish you well. I'm Doctor Bob Martin.

(01:21:34):
Well you happen to be tuned into the Doctor Bob
marts and Show our final segment this hour. But don't
go anywhere, because coming up we're gonna have for you

one hundred and twenty four year old woman who shares
her secrets of long life one hundred and twenty four
years of age. All of that coming up here on

(01:22:18):
the Doctor Bob Martin Show. Now we're going to go
shift a little bit away from the phone calls coming
into the program. And by the way, you hear these
callers calling into the show, you can do the very
same thing in the privacy of your home or business.
Just pick up the telephone and call the following eight
hundred number. You will hear me answer the phone. I

(01:22:39):
will simply ask you to state your first name, first name,
only your state and city, and then your question, either
your health question or health comment, and then I'll put
that on the air and answer your question. That number.
Keep it, pass it on to all your sick family members,
loved ones, and friends and co workers, neighbors. Eight hundred

(01:23:01):
six zero six eight eight two two one. Eight hundred
six zero six eight eight two two gives you access
to this radio program to have your health question answered
or to make your health related comment. And of course
the website always doctor Bob dot com spelling out the

(01:23:21):
word doctor. Now we're gonna go to the emails. We
also get emails through my website because people just don't
want to call I guess the eight hundred number, and
that's fine. I prefer the towelve free number so that
we can hear your voice, your lovely voice, and your
questions stated so that it's in real time. And in

(01:23:42):
this case, we had Donna E calling in sending an
email into my website from the state of Arkansas simply
asking doctor Martin, can you help with gout? And what
can I do with this problem? Well, it's kind of

(01:24:03):
rare for a woman to have gout. It's a form
of arthritis, by the way, gout of arthritis, and it's
usually painful where these uricastic crystals migrate towards the toe
and the ankle and the big toe and the foot. One, Donna,
if you have it, if it's not a misdiagnosis on
a female, you need to be drinking more water, eating

(01:24:24):
less sugar, and less animal meats because those are the
things that drive it hy purine foods, sugar, desserts, candies,
ice creams, soda pops. All of that, more water, and
then at the health food store go over and buy
celery seed extract, celery seed extract, and also get some

(01:24:47):
pure cranberry juice or cherry juice. Cherry juice would be better.
Mix it one third cherry juice, concentrate to two thirds water.
Drink about a pint of that a day along with
celery seed extract in those diets here changes and your
gout will be toasted. All right, Donna, thank you for that.
We'll be right back. I'm doctor Bob Martin.

six eight eight to two to two is the phone
number to call. And again coming up this hour, we'll
get to the Health Alternative and the other features as well.

(01:29:46):
But let's get back to work with some information about
the diet that yours truly eats. A lot of people
always ask me, what do you eat? Doctor Bob? You
know a lot about health. You're you're a physician, you're
a Board certified clinical nutritionist, your board certified and anti
aging medicine. What do you eat to stay healthy? Well,

(01:30:08):
I eat a lot of beans. I can tell you that,
lots and lots of beans, because they're full of protein,
they're full of carbohydrate, they're fibrous. They're jam packed full
of nutrients and antioxidants. So the question becomes what's the
healthiest bean to eat for health and longevity. Well, if

(01:30:28):
you're looking to improve your health in twenty twenty five,
eating more beans and lentils should be on your grocery list.
Beans are packed with nutrients such as fiber, protein, iron, magnesium.
Beans and lentils are among the most nutritious and versatile
foods on the planet, folks, That's why I eat so

(01:30:50):
many of them. Yet these little wonders are often overlooked
at the supermarket. Maybe it's because they often in a can,
or that they've got a bad rap. This goes all
the way back to the nineties as the musical gas fruit.

(01:31:11):
You know what I'm talking about. I'm talking about flatulets.
But beans and lentils are They've flown under the radar
for decades, while other superfoods like kale and chia and
califlower and spirillina have had their moments. However, it looks
like beans are finally going to get the spotlight they

(01:31:36):
deserve in twenty twenty five. Earlier this month, or rather
last month, the Scientific Report of the twenty twenty five
Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee was released with recommendations for changes
to the dietary Guidelines, including here it is. Here's the payoff,
including eating more beans and lentils. It's in the report.

(01:32:02):
The committee noted that eighty three percent of people fall
short of the recommended one to four cups of cooked beans,
peas or lentils each day. Eighty three percent falls short.
No wonder, we're a constipated society. No wonder there's so

(01:32:23):
much colon cancer in our society and happening to younger
people these days. It's it's a mixed bag. I get it.
With the National Bean Day celebrated earlier this month on
January sixth, there's never been a better time to embrace
beans and lentils in your life, and you should. Here's

(01:32:43):
why beans and lentils should be in your shopping cart
more often. Well not just because I eat a lot
of these, but here are the health benefits. Beans and
lentils offer a bouquet of nutrients, including protein. People think
they've got to eat meat to get protein. Not true.
Beans are packed full of protein, fiber, iron, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, folate, zinc, selenium.

(01:33:09):
Although the extract. Nutrition composition varies by type. They contain
very little saturated fat and minimal sodium, and have a
low glycemic index, so you don't spike your blood sugar.
You don't develop diabetes on beans, just the opposite. Studies
show that eating beans is associated with a variety of

(01:33:32):
health benefits, including heart health. Consuming beans may help lower
your LDL cholesterol, the bad cholesterol, the lousy cholesterol, and
help protect you against heart disease. Eating beans can also
protect you with against colorectyl cancer. It is on the rise.
Eating beans may help protect you against that disease. We

(01:33:54):
are hearing about it more and more, even than younger
people eat more beans. Eating beans will also help help
you keep your blood sugar under control despite their fact
that they've got a carbohydrate content. Eating beans can help
protect against diabetes and assist with blood glucose control. In fact,
if you want to get away from these dangerous drugs

(01:34:14):
like osambic and wegav and mojournal, these GLP one antagonist drugs,
eating beans will help you also manage your weight. People
who eat beans regularly tend to weigh less and have
better waste to hip ratiow measurements compared to those who
do not eat beans, and better diet quality. In general,

(01:34:37):
those who consume beans tend to have a higher diet
score and consume more fiber, iron, calcium, potassium than those
who don't. Some of the best bean choices and how
to enjoy them include black beans. I eat a lot
of black beans and chickpeas. You know, can you say
humus unbelievably good for you? And they're so packed full

(01:35:01):
of nutrients and they taste great. You got to learn
how to use spices, of course, but a lot of
it's already done for you if you go into the
health food grocery stores like natural grocers. Arguably, the best
beans are the ones you enjoy and most are most
motivated to eat. But here are five options that offer

(01:35:21):
a particularly impressive range of nutrients. Lentils. I love lentils.
I eat lentils all the time. I had lentils last night.
A half cup of lentils have about eight grams of fiber,
nine grams of protein, and several micronutrients, including bee vitamins, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, copper,
and manganese. Black beans I love those two. About a

(01:35:44):
half cup there black beans offers six grams of fiber
and protein as well as various micronutrients. Canonale beans they're
another one on the list that's a great bean choice.
And then you've got a coarse chickpeas a single half

(01:36:06):
cup serving provides six grams of fiber, about seven and
a half grams of protein. And then you have etemami
eleven grams of protein and etemammi beans per half cup.
They are loaded full of protein, so you won't have
any problem getting your protein. If you're eating a lot
of beans, I can tell you that, and you'll get

(01:36:27):
the fiber because there's zero fiber and meat. It's constipating
by its very nature. So beans have an impressive list
of nutrients, including a bean called fava. Fava beans chalk
full of nutrients. In fact, fava beans have helped people
with Parkinson's disease because they are rich in something called

(01:36:48):
leve dopa, a compound that your body converts to a
neurotransmitter called dopamine. So there are a lot of reasons
to eat beans. More beans healthier. You start eating more
beans please. You're tuned into the Doctor Bob Martin show.
The Health Alternative coming up.

Speaker 12 (01:37:17):
And he said, Sunday out of you in the changes
to them like you again, Doctor Bogle's a gift, and
you gotta eternity to think about what you do with it?
What did you do with it?

Speaker 7 (01:37:37):
What did I do with it?

Speaker 12 (01:37:40):
What would I do with.

Speaker 2 (01:37:44):
Got? Well, you're tuned into the Doctor Bob Martin Show,
and for that, I thank you. I thank you from
the bottom of my heart. Because we are growing like mad.
We are the largest radio health talk show in America.
Been on the air well, I think it's going on
like twenty eight, twenty nine years lost track. We're happy

(01:38:05):
to be here for you and about you, and each
week we provide for you the opportunity to call into
this radio show and ask a personal question about your health.
But if you've got somebody in your life that's struggling
and maybe they can't listen to the show or won't
listen to the show, by all means, you can call

(01:38:27):
in on their behalf and ask that question for them.
That number, Keep it safe, keep it available to yourself
and others to get the health information that you need.
I'll do my best to help you out. Tell Doctor
Bob where it hurts, no matter what it is head
to toe. We've probably heard it before here on the show.

(01:38:48):
That number to get into the show eight hundred six
zero six eight eight two two eight hundred six zero
six eight eight two two one eight hundred six zero
six eighty eight twenty two the website doctor Bob dot com.
All right, now, it is time now, ladies and gentlemen,
for this week's installment of the health alternative of the week.

(01:39:22):
Now they say timing is everything, right, then it is.
I just did a segment, a big segment on the
healthiest beans you can eat for health and longevity, and
I have given up the information about the fact that
my diet is substantially full of beans. They're good, they're

(01:39:44):
good for you, and you should consume more of them.
This week's health alternative ties right into that conversation. This
week's health alternative is called A Dozen Cousins. Have you
heard of it? A Dozen Cousins? You can purchase this
bean product at all natural grocers stores nationwide. Look no

(01:40:06):
further than natural grocery stores to improve your health in
twenty twenty five with A Dozen Cousins beans slow simmered
and ready to eat beans with real ingredients and made
with avocado oil, the healthy oil. They are delicious. I've
had them. The founder and CEO Ibraheim grew up in

(01:40:31):
a kitchen in Latin America, cooking. As he got older
and learned the importance of eating naturally, he found it
hard to find convenient foods that were healthy and authentic.
So mister Ibraheim he started A Dozen Cousins Beans, a

(01:40:54):
brand inspired by his daughter and her eleven cousins. That's
how the name came about. With authentic cultural recipes made
from wholesome ingredients. Beans are, of course, are high in
I just mentioned amino acids. They're full of protein, They're
full of fiber, the building blocks the body uses to

(01:41:17):
heal itself every day and make new tissues such as bone, muscle, hair, skin, blood.
Protein is playing a key role in maintaining and repairing
our bodies. We know that beans are chalked full of proteins,
so they've made it easy for you to get an

(01:41:40):
array of different forms of beans in A Dozen Cousins.
That's the product name you're looking for when you go
into the grocery store. A Dozen Cousins Beans to help
you reduce blood pressure and cholesterol and decrease the risk
of cardiovascular disease. Beans contain fiber, which can help with

(01:42:01):
digestion and gut health. Eating more beans can help reduce
insulin resistance that helps you to manage or reduce your
risk of diabetes and gaining weight. Beans are chalk full
of folate, which is important for making healthy red blood cells.
And beans contain what are called phenolic acids and flavonoids

(01:42:23):
and anto cyanidins, which have antioxidant properties to stop the
oxidative excess that's kind of like excessive rusting of the
human cells. Beans help to stop that. That's why you
need to have more beans in your diet. And since
eighty three percent of Americans don't have a lot of
beans in their diet, they should. And the company A

(01:42:46):
Dozen Cousins makes it easy for you. You just need
to find out where they're at. A dozen cousin beans
include Cuban black beans, Mexican pinto beans, Creole red beans.
Just an a few and you can find a dozen
cousin beans. You can use them in soups and stews

(01:43:07):
and salads, or you can eat them on their own.
They're delicious, but a little spice, a little bit of
herbal spice in there, you're good to go. They're so
delicious and they're found at all natural grocers stores nationwide.
So the next time you're in your natural grocery store,
if you're lucky to have one in your neighborhood, look
for A Dozen Cousins products their website. You can look

(01:43:32):
for it at naturalgrocers dot com. Naturalgrocers dot com is
where you find this week's health alternative of the week,
A Dozen Cousins to get those beans in your body
and get healthy like old doctor Bob. All right, we're
going to return to your phone calls and questions. Now,

(01:43:54):
let's begin with a caller who has taking me to
the woodshed here. That would be Louetta in Mary in Iowa.

Speaker 7 (01:44:03):
Yes, this is Louetta from Marion, Iowa. I enjoy listening
to your show and I had called you about a
question that I had last Sunday. You brought my name
up and said you were going to deal with my call,
and then you said no, it's along and you, for
whatever reason, was going to take it later, I thought

(01:44:25):
after the commercial, but you never did my question or
get back to me and explain why not. So my
question was regarding my nine year old grandson who has
problems with being pull of poop all the time and
you can't pass it, and his gastroenterologist just keeps giving

(01:44:46):
him stool, sophteners and enemas, and the poor little kid,
I mean, he cries and cries and get it out.
And so I had wondered about some products that claim
that there's a bacteria involved and that might help him
to do better. I just wanted your opinion, all right,

(01:45:10):
Thank you for taking my call. I do appreciate that,
and I enjoy your show.

Speaker 2 (01:45:16):
Okay, Lueta, My bad for not getting back to your question.
You're so sweet too. Look your grandson with the impacted ball.
We need to find out where that impaction is coming from.
And obviously they've checked him out and there's nothing medically serious,
but they're going to eventually do some exploratory stuff. If
this isn't solved, he needs to go to a chiropractic
physician and be checked for Illeo seco valve syndrome ICV syndrome.

(01:45:42):
Illeo seco valve syndrome. It's a little valve between your
small and large bottle that gets block full of stuff
like popcorn or meat or something that he didn't chew well. Also,
Lueta and I thought I answered this question, but I'm
going to answer it again. It's important. Nine year old
boys jump out high places and they hurt themselves and
they jack up their lumbar spines. There are nerves coming

(01:46:05):
out of his lower back that feed his bowl. If
any of those vertebrae have been sublixated and are shutting
off the transmission from the brain to the ball and
the peristaltic activity of that ball is not up to par,
it can also cause this problem. So we need to
get him into the chiropractor to check his lower back
and check him for iliosseko valve syndrome. The chiropractor needs

(01:46:28):
to be trained in applied kinesiology. Applied kinesiology a DC
doctor of chiropractic. He should also be drinking vitamin C
powder powdered vitamin C until his bowels open up. Get
him to bawll tolerance where a stool gets a little loose,
then start backing it off. I would start with ten
thousand milligrams of powdered vitamin C in a quart of

(01:46:49):
water and he should be sipping on that all day
long until his stool opens up, and then you back
off the vitamin C. No dairy products for him, whatsoever,
No meat for him, more fruit, more veggies, more water,
Give him some prunes, lemon and water, some alo vera juice.
All of those things will help him until we can
get to the bottom of this problem. And I hope

(01:47:11):
we can. And I appreciate your phone call. You're tuned
into the Doctor Bob Martin show.

Speaker 5 (01:47:51):
Everybody's got fain mistakes, but everybody's got a choice to make.

Speaker 2 (01:47:57):
Everybody needs a leave of faith. What's taking you.

Speaker 3 (01:48:03):
Money?

Speaker 13 (01:48:04):
You infu Doctor Bob marts and back with you.

Speaker 2 (01:48:18):
Thank you for tuning into the program. Ladies and gentlemen.
Should you have a health related problem, I mean you
can certainly like Luetta calling in on behalf of her
grandson who has some type of a bowel obstruction for
which the doctors he's seeing it's not resolving itself and
they have to give him these these these products, and

(01:48:39):
he's vomiting and all kinds of health related problem associated
with it's not going away. He needs to get into
a different form of healing art to get another opinion,
maybe two or three opinions from different forms of doctors.
The problem is that most people believe the only doctor
that you can go to is has an MD behind
their name. Not so, that's just one healing art of

(01:49:02):
many healing arts. And yes they have absolute efficacy in
treating emergency crisis management things. But if it's not working,
why would you go back and have the same thing
over and over and over again, making the same mistake. No,
the grandson needs to see a chiropractic physician, a nature

(01:49:24):
pathic physician, somebody that maybe does functional medicine, acupuncture, try
different things. There's something wrong here. The body knows it,
and it's not going to get well until you remove
whatever the obstruction is or the imbalance is, and then
things will start smoothing out. In a nine year old boy,
it's highly unusual to have this. Therefore, he deserves to

(01:49:44):
have other people taking a look and giving opinions of it,
because not all knowledge is in mainstream conventional medicine, that's
for sure. Now shortly here we're going to have for
you the health outrage of the week. But I want
to remind you another way to better take care of
yourself and be your own best doctor. Most of the

(01:50:05):
time is to make sure your pie hole stays very healthy.
What do I mean by that? It means that, yes,
the dental profession has done an enviable job helping us
to understand that if we don't take good care of
our oral health, our dental health, we're not gonna have
any teeth. We're gonna end up with our with dentures
like our grandparents or great grand parents because they didn't

(01:50:27):
have any teeth, because they didn't know the value of
toothbrushing and flossing and seeing a dental hygienist and a
dentist on a regular basis. They just waited until their
teeth rotted out, until they adam pulled. You need the
best oral care possible on the market to avoid tooth
to cage, gingivitis, periodontal disease, and even bad breath. And
that best dental system that I'm aware of is called

(01:50:52):
Spry Spry Spry toothpaste and Spry mouth rints. They also
have mints and gum if you're using some conventional chemical
filled Because if you read the label on many of
these toothpaste boxes, oh my gosh, they've got like eight
syllable words on there. Nobody understands them because they're all
petrochemical or they're chemicals you don't need, or one in

(01:51:14):
your body. I'm talking about everything from Crest to Colgate
to Theobrand to Sensini. It's just not something that I
would put in my body knowing that there's a better alternative.
That alternative is called the Sprie Dental Defense System. So
if you get as uptight about seeing a dental provider
and getting bad news like I do, I don't want

(01:51:34):
to be drilled and filled and crowns and everything else.
I want my teeth, my gums to stay healthy so
I can maintain them at home. With the Sprie Dental
Defense System. Stuff's amazing. It comes in peppermint, cinnamon, spearmint.
The secret sauce is the xylotol in They're used by
millions of people. Sylotol is a plant based ingredient in

(01:51:57):
their toothpaste and mouth rints. It tricks the germs that
cause all this damage, the Streptococcus mutants. When it comes
in contact with it, it kills it and it keeps them
from consuming something they can live on. And therefore it's
anti cavity, anti plaque, anti bad news in the dental practice,
your dentist, you're hygienist. When you start using the Spray

(01:52:19):
Dental Defense System, they're going to be impressed because they're
going to see improvement in your mouth, in your oral cavity,
get your teeth squeaky, clean, your gums, your mouth, all
of it with the Spray Dental Defense System. It's available
at CBS, Rite Aid Pharmacies, Target, Vitamin Chops, Sprouts, all
natural grocery stores and for more information you can go

(01:52:39):
to their website directly at Clear that's x l ear
dot com. The xend Clear stands for rex islotol, the
magic ingredient that makes it all work. They also have
over there, and of course the Clear Nasal spray family.
We've talked about that many times here on the show.
The Clear Nasal spray family as well, so spride endle

(01:53:00):
Fence and clear Over at Clear x l e er
dot com or finer stores nationwide. It is time now,
ladies and gentlemen, for the health outrage of the week.
She's like, you don't believe it. Come on, it's to
have for the health outradge because it's nothing, but it

(01:53:27):
is outrageous and it has to be the health outrage
of the week has to be this red dye deal
that came up about a week or so ago that
I talked about earlier in the program, finally finally being
banned in the food supply after thirty five years deeming

(01:53:48):
it dangerous to be used in topical cosmetics. We're talking
about red dye number three. Thirty five years ago, the
FDA said, oh my god, you can't have that red
dye in any cosmetic. You're gonna smear on your face.
But it's okay to eat it, no problem. That's essentially

(01:54:09):
what they did. Now, this red dye three that all
the hubbub was about. The FDA allowed that to come
into the food supply as dyes in thousands of foods
and drinks and medicines back in nineteen oh seven. Believe
it or not. Now, we didn't have the sophistication back
in the early nineteen hundreds to determine that this red dye,

(01:54:31):
which is by the way, a petrochemical, yes, black crude oil,
it's the same stuff that makes gasoline. That's where this
red dye number three comes from. Well, no wonder that
they're finding in rats it can cause cancer, and therefore
they believe in humans. What is wrong with this picture

(01:54:53):
with the FDA allowing this red dye to be out there.
I have consumed a ton of it in my life,
and so have you. You when you consider that it's
in three thousand different products, food, medicine, candies. Oh my god,
it's everywhere, and now they're finally removing it. Now you
understand why Bobby Kennedy Junior needs to clean up the

(01:55:17):
FDA and shell it out. He's going to be hopefully
running the AHHS Health and Human Services shortly. I mean,
the pounds of this stuff that's probably in our bodies,
in our fat cells, in our lypnos. Who knows how
much we and our families have swallowed of this. It's
outrageous that the FDA hasn't taken action on this earlier

(01:55:42):
to to protect us. That's what they're supposed to be doing.
And they're again once again sleeping at the wheel and
always looking out for the pharmaceutical big farm, because everybody
knows that the FDA is the wholly owned subsidiary of
big Pharma. The outrage of the week red dye number three,
you know, talking about it. It needs to be history

(01:56:05):
in the rearview mirror hopefully soon. All right, now, longevity experts.
A longevity expert discussed or recently and try to clear
up the argument when to actually eat dinner. There's been

(01:56:25):
a lot of back and forth on this. Should you
eat dinner late, see your blood sugar stable through the night,
Should you eat dinner earlier? When's the best time? Well
doctor Joseph Anton, mdphd. He says he's ready to settle
the debate once and for all. When is the best

(01:56:46):
time to eat dinner? And he says, and I quote,
when you eat late at night, your body isn't fully
rested while you sleep. Doctor Anton shares you may not
notice it, but your digest system is working and you
aren't getting into that restorative sleep, that deep sleep called

(01:57:06):
rem sleep or rappen I movement sleep. Eating late at
night means you might have microwave wake ups from things
like acid reflux. And when you're not sleeping well, you're
not hitting a very important longevity metric, which is deep sleep,
restorative sleep, or your brain heals, the brain gets cleared

(01:57:27):
of all the debris. So his argument here is do
not eat late. Let at least hours between the time
that you eat and lying down to go to bed.
That's what he believes. So take it in any way
you wish. We'll come right back. You're tuned into the

(01:57:48):
Doctor Bob Martin Show.

Speaker 5 (01:58:14):
So you saw your dad.

Speaker 6 (01:58:21):
I'm a bush of number simon, the old one, never
single minds up.

Speaker 10 (01:58:38):
I don't.

Speaker 6 (01:58:42):
Confident most today.

Speaker 2 (01:58:46):

(01:59:08):
we go on, I wanted to give to you this
week's product recall. Product recall of the week to we go.
Bornado Air recalls VH two whole room heaters due to
electric shock and fire hazards, sold exclusively on Amazon dot com.

(01:59:29):
If you have one of these heaters from Vornado Hazard,
Big Time Hazard, the power chord can partially detach from
the heater enclosure, which can lead to cord damage over time,
posing an electric shock and fire hazards. The remedy. Consumers
should immediately stop using the recalled heaters. Contact Vornato to

(01:59:51):
confirm that their product is part of the recall and
receive instructions on how to receive a free replacement heater
or perhaps your money back. They've sold almost eight thousand
of these units on Amazon dot Com. It wasn't manufactured
in the United States. So if you've got one of
these Bornato Vo r Nado air room heaters, don't use it,

(02:00:15):
send it on back.

Speaker 8 (02:00:17):
All right.

Speaker 2 (02:00:17):
We moved from that to promise talk about this lady
who is one hundred and twenty four years of age,
a woman who has outlived her children, shares the secret
to her long life. The average human lifespan, of course
many of you know, is like seventy or eighty years,
with most people beginning to experience the physical and mental
effects of aging decades earlier, and as our body grows older,

(02:00:42):
they often become more susceptible to ailments, and maintaining virtually
becomes an increasingly uphill battle. However, one Chinese woman has
defied all odds and has become an example for all
to come, all ages to come. And she's a twenty
four years young Her name is Qui Chaissi. Quei Chaisi,

(02:01:06):
a woman in Shishwan Province, China. She just recently celebrated
her one hundred and twenty fourth birthday, which is amazing.
I mean amazing, and I'm looking at her. She looks amazing.
Queen's family, spanning six generations, regards her as one of
the oldest living. Actually, she's a super centenarian, not just

(02:01:26):
a centenarian living to one hundred, but super centenarian in
her region. Living long and healthy life requires an active
effort to maintain strict lifestyle. She told the reporter who
was interviewing her that she remains remarkably active, having three
meals each day. Her meals are followed by short walks.

(02:01:49):
That's important, short walks after each meal for better digestion.
Ms Qui also mentioned she sleeps at least or rather,
she goes to sleep by eight pm in the evening.
I have noticed as I'm getting older, I like to
go to bed earlier and earlier and earlier. I would
suggest you do the same, because she's lived to one

(02:02:11):
hundred and twenty four years and that's what she's doing
following such a healthy lifestyle at the age of one
hundred and twenty four. Qui can managementible tasks like combing
her hair, lighting fires, and feeding geese by herself. She
can even climb stairs with ease. Qui informs the reporter

(02:02:33):
who is interviewing her at the outlet that lard rice.
That's one of her favorite things. Lard rice. I'm not
sure what that is, but lard sounds like fat rice
made with made into a porridge containing pumpkin, winter melon,
and crushed corn. While her fondness for lard has never wavered,

(02:02:55):
she now eats it in moderation on her doctor's recommendation. Well,
she's probably outlived about five of her own doctors, so
they should maybe do what Qui does. Hopefully they'll live longer.
Qui was well known in her village for her sharp
accounting skills and remarkable physical strength, frequently handling challenges on

(02:03:20):
the farm, like farm tasks such as plowing fields and
stacking stones. Despite the challenges, Qui maintained a resilient spirit,
which she attributes to her long life. She also became
a respected figure in her community, admired for her perseverance

(02:03:42):
and ability to overcome adversity. This lady is one hundred
and twenty four years of age. It's amazing. Well her
body has deteriorated after she hit the age of one hundred,
her wit and sharpness are still the same. The brain
can last ladies and gentlemen if you take good care

(02:04:04):
of it. Commenting on her long life, qu said, my
sibling's husband and son passed away long ago. Que believes
that her secret to long life is keeping a positive
outlook on life. However, she is not only a super
centenarian who lives in China, as her peer reports there

(02:04:30):
are about nine hundred and sixty centenarians living in the
same area alone. They ought to go study the soil
over there and exactly what they're eating and what they're doing,
because that's obviously one of those blue zones where these
people are living long. And the more we know about that,

(02:04:50):
the better off we're going to be and be able
to parlay that perhaps into our own longevity and mostly
healthy living too. Right, All right, wow, amazing, congratulations to
this young lady at one hundred and twenty four years young, Queen.
I'm doctor Bob Martin. We'll be right back.

Speaker 11 (02:05:40):
Upon us.

Speaker 5 (02:05:43):
All those things I should do you, but you danced.

Speaker 1 (02:05:48):
Internet subs.

Speaker 2 (02:05:53):
You're tuned into the Doctor Bob Martin Show. This is
the final segment this week. So glad you're here, and
I hope you've enjoyed the show, hope you've learned something.
I hope that you've been entertained. And if you happen
to during the next week, day, hour, whatever it may be,
have a health question on your mind about yourself, I
would love to try to help you out, and I'll

(02:06:15):
do my best to do just that. If you've got
a health question of health issue about yourself or somebody else,
please call our toll free number right now and ask
that question. You will hear me answer the phone. I'll
ask you to state your first name, the city and
state you're living in, and then your question or health comment.
That number to get into that is one eight hundred
six zero six eight eight two two. Jot that down

(02:06:38):
for safe keeping eight hundred six zero six eight eight
two two or one eight hundred six zero six eighty
eight twenty two on the website doctor Bob dot Com
spelling out the word doctor. Time. Now for the health
mystery of the week. Well, everybody's heard the expression healthy,

(02:07:05):
happy wife, happy life. Right, You've heard that, how about
wealthy wife, unhappy life. That's the new expression, wealthy wife,
unhappy life. Men are sadder when their wives earn more
money than them. That's what a new study out. Interestingly
enough mysterious as it sounds, from Taylor Swift to Nicole Kidman,

(02:07:30):
many high profile female celebrities earn more than their partners,
their male partners. Their partners Travisclice and Keith Urban seem
fairly happy with their setups, but a new study has
warned that the same isn't true across the board. If
you truly want to be having a happy life, scientists

(02:07:52):
at the University of Durham say it's better for the
male partner to be the higher earner. In their study,
the team analyzed the incomes and mental health of heterosexual couples.
They found that women becoming the breadwinner resulted in a
higher risk of mental health issues for both members of

(02:08:15):
the couple, but especially for the men the husbands. The
share of couples where the wife out earns the husband
is increasing globally, That's what the researchers are saying, So
crossing the threshold where the wife starts earning more significantly
increases the probability of receiving a mental health diagnosis in men.

(02:08:41):
In the most restrictive specifications, the likelihood increases approximately eight
percent for the whole sample and eleven percent for men.
How strange is that? And this was published by the
Way in the Economic Journal, and to me, I find
it just mysterious. That's why I chose it, because why

(02:09:04):
would that be men being or developing mental health problems
just because they earn less then their more significant other,
their wives. I don't know why it'll remain a health mystery,
the health mystery of the week. I wish you a
healthy day and a healthy week. You've been listening to

(02:09:24):
the doctor Bob Martinshaw. Be well,
