An eight-year-old boy goes permanently BLIND after a common diet mistake millions of parents are guilty of. Allowing children to dictate what they eat as opposed to what they should eat to stay healthy, is something parents grapple with on a regular basis. And too often, children prevail. Giving children full reign regarding what they eat is problematic when all they want is ultra-processed chicken nuggets filled with rancid or hydrogenated vegetable oil, dextrose corn sugar, MSG, aluminum and additives. Details on connection between blindness and eating chicken nuggets

stay tethered to us always and learn about the latest
breaking news in health and wellness over at doctor Bob
dot com doctor Bob dot com spelling out the word doctor.
All right, now, as promised, I want to get to

(04:36):
this information about why it is that eating chicken nuggets
regularly may cause blindness in children. I'm not kidding on this.
This happens, This has happened. In fact, there's an eight
year old boy who went blind permanently after this common

(04:59):
diet mistake millions of parents are guilty of. Now, look,
I have six children. We are a family of six children.
And I know how busy life can be, and how
stressful it can be, and how many things you have

(05:19):
to do going from point A to B and all
these obligations, and it's not easy to deal with food
in between all of that, and nourishing your children and
making sure they're getting their calories and their foods and
their meals. I know how hard it is. My wife
knows how hard it is, and It's really easy to

(05:42):
develop a habit of pulling up to that little tiny
window that opens up and they hand you this bag
of grease, and your kids are their eyes are dilated.
You can't get you can't wait to get into that bag,
pop that bag open and start popping those nuggets in
their mouths. I get it, but I'll tell you what

(06:04):
this story. If this doesn't shock you and change up things,
nothing will. An elementary school student has reportedly been left
permanently blind because they're fussy eating habits left him so
void of nutrients that he went blind permanently. This can happen. Yes,
this is an extreme case, of course. This eight year

(06:27):
old boy is said to have eaten nothing but chicken
nuggets or sausages and cookies since he was an infant,
and the reason he did is because he could his
parents to shut him up. Pulled up to the little
window that the window opens up and they hand that

(06:47):
little white bag over, and the kids go crazy. This
kid lived on chicken nuggets, sausages and cookies, and his
parents try to feed him other foods, but he just
wouldn't take it. So they yielded to that and said okay,
So it's just nuggets, sausages and cookies that'll shut him up,
and we don't have to deal with all that crying

(07:08):
and fussing. I get the pressure. It comes to bear,
but it's bad news if you yield to it. The
younger was The youngster was extremely deficient in a vitamin
essential to keep his optical nerves healthy. That according to
a doctor who revealed the case, His terrifying ordeal began

(07:31):
during a second grade class. Get this, when he shouted
and I quote, teacher, teacher, why can't I see anything? Close? Quote?
Can you imagine a little child in second grade getting up?
He suddenly glows, Everything goes dark, he goes blind, and

(07:52):
he's yelling for his teacher because he can't see anything.
How horrible would that be for everybody? He was rush
to the hospital and diagnose with severe vitamin A deficiency.
Vitamin A is a key component to something called rhodopsin.
Rhodopsin is a light sensitive protein that helps produce pigments

(08:13):
in the retina of the eye the human eye, which
helps with vision in low light areas as in like darkness.
We need that rhodopsin to see at night when we're driving,
right it goes down as we get older. The boy
had likely suffered from optic atrophy, which causes cells of

(08:33):
the optic nerve to waste a way to die away
from long term damage secondary to nutrient deficiencies from eating
nothing but chicken nuggets, sausages, and cookies. And I'll tell
you what I know. There are plenty of kids in
America today that are doing exactly this or probably worse.

(08:56):
You may have one in your house, you may have
somebody you know, you may have a grandchild who they
insist and they pressure their parents to go over to
that little window that opens up at the drive in
junk food fast food store, and they hand out that
little white bag and they're happy again for another four hours,
and they want to go back there. It happens. A doctor,

(09:17):
Irma Nadia, a popular social media doctor, wrote in her
Facebook post, and I quote as a mother, we can't
always cook because we are busy. Pity for the parents
of this student. It is not an easy it's not
an easy thing for them to accept, but the child's

(09:38):
permanently blind. She is now urging parents to be aware
of the signs of vitamin A deficiency in their children,
especially if they're eating a junk food diet at the
fast food stores all the time. We're talking about chicken nuggets, sausages, cookies,
junk food, soda pops. She's warn people in her social

(10:01):
media platform about vitamin eight deficiency and these children complaining
of dry eyes their eyes. They are always scratching at
their eyes. They might see shadows or gray spots on
the whites of their eyes when you look at their eyes,
difficulties seeing at night or in the dark, or an
inability to produce tears. And sometimes it's really hard to

(10:22):
get children to communicate about any of that stuff. They
just keep truncking right foods high in vitamin A, which
they ought to be having in their diet, but they're
not because they're on the nuggets all day long, every day,
and the sausages and the cookies they should be having,
like spinach and carrots and mangoes and papaya and apricots,
and maybe some fish or some organic chicken or organic eggs,

(10:44):
sweet potatoes. These are all foods that have vitamin A
in them that can help reduce the risk of blindness
from vitamin A deficiency in these children. We'll get to
more of this after the break, stay with us. I'm
doctor Bob Martin.

Speaker 3 (11:00):

Speaker 2 (11:22):
All right, welcome or welcome back to the Doctor Bob
Martin Show. I so thank you for tuning into the
program and telling others to do the very same thing.
I want you to know that we do have and
we will go to your phone calls, your health related
questions or comments in this hour, So stand by. We
have a toll free number, it's called the Doctor Bob

(11:42):
Martin Show Caller hotline phone number where you can have
access to this show to ask a question about your
personal health or on behalf of somebody else, ask a
question or make a health related comment. Please jute's number
down if you haven't done so already, so you have
it for safe keeping in case you need it. I'm
here for you. The number eight hundred six zero six

(12:05):
eight eight two two eight hundred six zero six eight
eight two two one eight hundred six zero six eighty
eight twenty two. The website my website doctor Bob dot com,
doctor Bob dot com. Spell out the word doctor everything
over there healthwise. Now, if you're just tuning into the program,

(12:29):
I started out talking about how this young boy, eight
years of age, how he went permanently blind because his
diet was made up of chicken nuggets, sausages, cookies, junk food,
fast foods. That's it. That's pretty much his diet. He

(12:51):
wouldn't need anything else. His parents tried, but he was
successful at convincing him, convincing his parents that's all he's
going to eat. Period. And I know a lot of
parents are pressured by their children and they cave in
and they drive to that little window, and that window
opens up and hands out those to that family and

(13:13):
those children that little greasy bag of chicken nuggets and
other food related like that. This young man developed a
severe vitamin AD deficiency and he went blind. There's no
coming back from this, from the retinal damage that occurs
as a result of vitamin E deficiency, which usually we
see in third world countries, but in this case, it
was right here in the United States. And I just

(13:34):
wonder how many other cases are like this that we
don't even know about, well more than we know. There
have been several similar cases in the United States. We
don't hear about them. But last year, another boy from Massachusetts,
age twelve, went blind under similar circumstances, so this is

(13:56):
not one of these one out things. The child suffered
from from autism and has an extreme phobia of certain
food textures, meaning he lived on a diet of fast
foods including burgers, fries with ranch dressing, donuts, and juice boxes.

(14:18):
That's all he lived on. He was found to have
severe deficiency of vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D, copper,
and zinc. Autistic children often also cling to routines, so
they may favor particular foods and just refuse to eat
other foods, which means they're not going to get an

(14:40):
array of nutrients. Therefore, they're subjected to the possibility of
these nutrient deficient deficiencies, which can cause everything from blindness
to I mean, even early arthritis in these children. Experts
estimate that one in one hundred American children are deficient
in vitamin A. That's as if one in a hundred

(15:01):
is a huge number when you understand how many children
there are in America that might be running around right
now with vitamin A deficiency as a result of eating
all this fast food and all this junk food every day,
all day long. Could be seventy percent. Who knows they
predict that some of these children are not only division

(15:23):
in vitamin A, they're deficient in vitamin D, and one
in five children in the United States don't get enough
vitamin C, which helps everything collagen, the immune system, everything
wound healing, making strong white blood cells. I mean, there's
just you have to know that these fast food jump

(15:43):
foods are not good for these children. Once in a
great while, no problem, but that's not the way they roll.
Once you get them habituated to the grease. And these
companies that make these foods, they engineer these foods to
addict your children, and then those children pressure you all
day long, yipping and yapping in your ear about going

(16:04):
back to XYZ fast food junk food restaurant, and finally
used toccumb to it, and then eventually it becomes a
habit and you're running back there every morning, every afternoon,
and they're developing these nutrient deficiencies, not good severe nutrient
deficiency from vitamin C we call scurvy. It's rare in

(16:28):
developed countries, but it appears to be making a comeback
here in the United States because we're allowing children to
eat all these junk foods, these fast foods. The condition,
which can cause your teeth to fall out or extreme pain,
tripled between the years twenty sixteen to twenty twenty and
around eight and every one hundred thousand kids have this problem.

(16:53):
So it's real and it's high time we start driving
away from these fat food restaurants and figuring something else out.
And there are other ways to do it. To feed
your kids. You just find a natural health food grocery
store and there are plenty of options to consider right there.

(17:13):
And you might say, well, you know, chicken nuggets, chicken McNuggets, whatever,
it may be, no big deal. They can't be that bad.
My kids eat them, my kids eat them, my grandkids
eat them. They seem to be fine. Have you ever
looked at the ingredients the concoction that makes up these
chicken nuggets? Have you ever just asked the question, I

(17:34):
wonder what's in a chicken nugget? Anyway? Well, let me
tell you. There's about what forty different ingredients that go
into it, starting with mona sodium glutamate or autolized yeast
monasodium glutamate. That's a flavor enhancer. They used to call
it the China syndrome, which has all kinds of potential

(17:54):
advers side effects associated with Then you have all the
junk seed oils, the inflammatory seeds like safflower oil. Not good.
You know what dextros is, Yes, dextros the sugar, the
refined carbohydrate, corn shrup. It's in the mix, it's in

(18:15):
the nugget, it's in the chicken nugget. You've got sodium phosphates,
bleached white flour, which means it took the nutrients right
out of the whole grain. You've got modified food starts.
You've got baking soda, sodium acid phosphatase. These are all
ingredients in chicken nuggets. Sodium aluminium phosphate. We're talking aluminum here.

(18:39):
That's a neurotoxin in chicken nuggets. Mono calcium phosphate. You've
got canola oil, which is the worst form of oil
you can put in your body in baking, cooking, or
any of the items you may buying at the grocery stores.
Read your labels, Please get rid of it. Corn oil,

(18:59):
soy these are all inflammatory oils. Hydrogenated soybean oil and
tb HQ which stands for turt beutle hydroxequino. These are
the chemicals that these food companies purposely put into the
chicken nuggets to make them highly addictive, so that if

(19:21):
the bag goes home, it can sit around on the
counter and it won't spoil for the next one hundred years.
And they can know. I'm exaggerating a little bit there,
but that's sort of way they manufacture these things so
that they are addictive and they don't spoil, and they
can eat them anytime of the night or day. They
even have this chemical in it called dimethyl polysiloxane, believe

(19:46):
it or not, in the chicken nugget to reduce oil
splatter when cooking the nuggets. I kid you not. They
put it in there so that the person's actually who's
cooking that at the greasy fast food restaurant, to protect
them in case there's splatter. Put it in a nugget.

(20:08):
I'm not kidding you. This is the kind of stuff
that goes on. And I'm here to tell you that
the less you give your children these foods, the better
off they're gonna be. You certainly don't want to get
into the extremes of your children, or your grandchildren or
your great grandchildren constantly over at the fast food restaurant

(20:30):
insisting on chicken nuggets, insisting on sausages or cookies or
those things that foods, the fast foods that don't have
any nutrients in it that lead to chronic degenerative diseases,
including blindness in the extreme. All right, enough, set about it,

(20:50):
we come back. We're gonna go to the phone calls,
your phone calls. I'm doctor Bob Martin. Are you waiting
for the excuse?

Speaker 5 (21:01):
Are you waiting for sign and choose?

Speaker 6 (21:04):
Why are you waiting?

Speaker 2 (21:05):
It's the time I'm in.

Speaker 4 (21:23):
Mon Are you in?

Speaker 2 (21:27):
Welcome? Welcome back to the Doctor Bob Martins Show. Appreciate
you dropping in telling other people to do the same thing.
The website for all things related to news, and our
podcast library, which is where you can direct people to
listen to past shows. In fact, this show will be

(21:47):
in the podcast library in a couple of days. So
if you have somebody, let's say, a parent or a grandparent,
or a teacher or a child who you think could
benefit by listening to the last two segments that I
just did on and nuggets and other junk food and
what it could cause, we'll invite them to go over
to doctor Bob dot com spelling out the word doctor
doc t O R Bob dot com, and then looking

(22:09):
for the podcast of this show, which is our number two.
Now we're going to get to caller phone questions and
comments very shortly. Here I want to give out the
Doctor Bob Martin Show caller hotline phone numbers that you
have it at. Eight hundred six zero six eight eight

(22:30):
two two one. Eight hundred six zero six eight eight
two to two is the caller hotline phone word to
ask your health related question or make your health related comment.
We're going to get to those shortly, but I want
to tell you about something that you should pay attention
to related to health. An opportunity here to help yourself
out and speaking of words that are very hard to pronounce,

(22:55):
but I'm going to make it easy for you. You may
not have heard of something called palmitoy lethanolamine polytoilethanolamine, or
pea P PEA for short, is a special nutrient found
in small quantities in egg yolks and a lot of
other foods, in very tiny minuscule quantities and other foods,

(23:18):
but it's a special nutrient. Scientific research shows that pea
can address muscle pain that people are having, they're trying
to recover from an injury or exercising or a workout,
or they just over exerted themselves. It can also help
in the recovery of arthritis symptoms. It can improve mobility,

(23:40):
cognitive health, and a multitude of other health concerns including
believe it or not, pea. The supplement can help with allergies,
respiratory symptoms, and even fibromyalgia. And because of its anti
inflammatory action, pea researchers have investigated its ability to relieve
pain in a variety of conditions and including sciatica neuropathy,

(24:02):
temporal mandibular joint problems TMJPAIN just to name a few.
Plus in scientific research on the most forms of arthritis,
like the most common form of arthritis like osteoarthritis, This
pea substance in a supplement called Pea by Terry Naturally vitamins,
helped to lower the inflammatory markers, slowed the damage of cartilage,

(24:27):
and reduced knee swelling. So if you are looking to
improve your overall health, consider supplementing with a nutritional formula
called Pea by Terry Naturally vitamins for relief of both
acute and chronic pain, better physical recovery from injuries, and

(24:48):
improve mood and focus and a more robust immune system response.
So you can take PEA the supplement by Terry Naturally
Vitamins and find it at finer health food storesationwide, or
you can go over to the website Terry Naturally Vitamins
dot com Terry Naturally Vitamins dot com to look for

(25:11):
the supplement p e A. All right, let's get to
work now with our open health related questions or comments
and we begin today. And by the way, when you
hear these people getting on the air, understand that they
have called R eight hundred number to ask their health question,
and so can you, and I'll do my best to
help you out as well. That number eight hundred six

(25:32):
zero six eight eight two two one eight hundred six
zero six eight eight two two. Here comes Charles from Bismarck,
North Dakota.

Speaker 7 (25:42):
Hi, this is Charles C. H A. R. L. E. S.
From Bizmarck, North Dakota. Just wondering if you have any
feedback for me Parkinson's and what a person can do
for that besides taking the medical medicine. I was told

(26:08):
maybe you could do nicotine patches, which is supposed to help. Maybe,
so just wondering what your thoughts are on that. Pay
thank you and have a good day.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Buy okay, Charles, thank you for your phone call. Yes,
nicotine patches, I've used those on patients who have had
tremor problems Parkinson's disease, essential tremors. It helps. It's not
going to cure anything, because Parkinson's disease is a degenerative
neurological condition having to do with dopamine and other neurological issues.

(26:43):
So it's a way to help control it in a
way that's conservative in my opinion. But Parkinson's disease, I
think you should get tested. I always test people that
come into the office. It came into the office with
Parkinson's disease. I tested them for toxic metal and other
chemicals because they almost always had it, which may lead

(27:03):
to these problems. As these toxic chemicals get into the
environment and get into our body, they cross the blood
brain barrier and they start to impact the way that
our brain works and make these special chemistries. There's a
test called organic acids urine tests that's something you should
also have. Besides the toxic metal hair analysis. Hair will

(27:25):
measure for toxic metals like aluminum and lead, and mercury
and cadmium and nickel, and a bunch of other minerals
as well. But the organic acids. Urintests can also measure
for solvents and pesticides that may be in your body
that need to come out of your body, that may
be exacerbating or generating these tremors or this Parkinson's like
condition that you may have. Sometimes nutrient deficiencies or hormone

(27:50):
imbalances can also set off these problems or make them worse.
I would avoid caffeine, alcohol, process foods, artificial sweeteners. You've
got to stake completely away from those like nuture sweet
and various other nutritive sweeteners. Artificial sweeteners bad news on
people who have tremors or any kind of neurological condition,
and of course refined sugar. There's a supple on the

(28:13):
market called Dopa DOPA four hundred, which comes from a
plant called musin Pruians. It's an extract from a company
by the name of America's Finest. They make the supplement
for people who have these tremors or have Parkinson's not
because it's a cure, it's just to help steady them

(28:33):
out from wobbling and shaking so much. You can get
a hold of American Finance for this DOPA four hundred
supplement over on their toll free number at eight hundred
three five zero three three zero five. There's no reason
why you can't go to the health food store or
have somebody delivered to you coenzyme Q ten immediately to

(28:55):
start on that. To help yourself out, you should be
taking Omega three supplements like fish oil like salmon oil
or sardine's oil. A full gamut of antioxidant supplements important
like a vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D. Can get
them all in one formula. I would also try just
to make your quality of life better acupuncture chiropractic because

(29:18):
they work with your nervous system. People who have shaking
and tremors and Parkinson's disease need to regularly perform some
form of aerobic exercise. You participate in aerobic exercise and
that could be right at home on an elliptical bike cycle,
or you could go swimming or something that you enjoy doing.

(29:40):
Just find something that can keep you moving, because we
know that exercise helps with these neurodegenerative diseases. But I
would like to see you try the nicotine gum er
patches and then call me back and let me know
how it helped, if it did at all. Appreciate your
phone call. I'm Doctor Bob Martin.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
So.

Speaker 8 (30:13):
I'm a bushom A number sun embcible, the one never

Speaker 2 (30:33):
I welcome you, or welcome you back to this hour
of the Doctor Bob Martin's Show. If you like what
you hear, be sure to tell other people to tune
in to this show so they can benefit through and
buy it just like you. The way to do that
jot down the call letters of the radio station you're
listening to, whether it's an A M R FM station
frequency on the dial time of the day. It just

(30:55):
passed out out to as many people as you can,
especially those you care about, so they can tune into
the and benefit. All Right, we are smack dab in

Will that work for you? The number into the show

to work with your telephone calls and questions. Next up
is Sybil calling in from Cleveland, Georgia.

Speaker 6 (31:52):
I'm staable. I'm from Cleveland, Georgia, and I don't have
a question that I have. Some rooms they think of you,
they don't. It's perfect. I got stewing on the hands,
and my hand didn't need be spoiled, didn't get red

(32:15):
or y. And then talking about the cranberries and all,
I don't like the juice. Ea, I'd rather have the fruit.
So anytime you can eat the fruit instead of drinking
the juice, you've got the best of the beer.

Speaker 2 (32:36):
All right, Sybil, thank you for that. I totally agree
with you. You should eat fruit over drinking fruit juice. However,
to put it into context for people here, I think
you heard me talking to somebody who had gout or
had some urinary track infection that required that they take
in larger quantities of cherry juice, unsweet cherry juice in

(33:02):
order to reduce the uric acid or in the case
of cranberry, pure cranberry without sugar in it, to give
them dmnnos, which is a substance in cranberry that helps
to generate what is called an anti adherence property inside
the jeniturinary track, so.

Speaker 8 (33:19):
That the E.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
Coli or whatever the organism is doesn't have the ability
to stick there and cause inflammation and generate urinary track infection.
So I agree fruit always before fruit juice, so that
you get the fiber and all of that in there.
Appreciate your phone call, all right. That leaves another line
open for anybody who wishing to call in. It's that simple.
You simply call our toll free number into the show

(33:41):
and ask that question about your health or make a
health comment in your convenience anytime you like. Eight hundred
six zero six eight eight two two one eight hundred
six to zero six eight eight two to two. Next
up is Bernie in Mandarin, North Dakota.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
Bernie from Mandan, North Dakota, and I would like to
know what is the best way to get rid of
toenail fungus? Thank you?

Speaker 2 (34:13):
Okay, yes, Tono fungus is not easy to get rid
of because once the fungus tina starts to get underneath there,
it loves to be in a nice, moist, dark, hot environment,
which the foot is perfect for that and underneath the nail.
So the way that these things often happen is it

(34:34):
starts with a round of antibiotics sometime in your life.
That's wiped out all your good, healthy bacterial floor. All
the good guys get wiped out one round of antibiotics. Now,
antibiotics are a miracle drug, but they're used excessively in
the United States, not only in prescription drugs, but also
we get it in our livestock and we eat cattle
and other animals that have been fed antibiotics to get

(34:57):
them fattened up, and that gets into our system and
it destroys the good, healthy bacterial colonization on a microbiome, microbiota,
and our gastro intestinal track, which is how these we
keep in control these fungal infections. And so once that
gets wiped out by a round of antibiotics, it takes
six months or a year to build that back up.

(35:19):
It does. So what you have to do is you
have to one not feed the fungus in your body
until it builds back up. How do you do that, Well,
you stay away from sugar and alcohol. Sugar and alcohol
will set the fungus. They love this, that's their food,
that's their preferred food. So starve them of their preferred
food junk food, sugar, alcohol. You got to get away

(35:39):
from dairy products that's got lactose in it, milk, sugar,
which fungus loves. And that's how you'll build toenail fungus up.
Stay away from foods that have high levels of yeast
in it. I would recommend a book called The Yeast Connection.
Follow that diet in the East Connection book. You'll be
better off. Now. This supplement to help get rid of

(36:02):
a fungal nail or fungus anywhere, whether it's jock itch
or underneath your toenails, or wherever it may be. There's
a tea drink three cups of pod y rco tea
per day pod d rkyl pa u d r cot
three times a day, cup of three times a day
kiolic ahe garlic extract two tablespoons three times a day

(36:25):
until that fungus is gone. Use doctor Ohira's probiotics internally
on an empty stomach right before bedtime, and then first
thing in the morning, and last these are the supplements
you'll need because fungus is hard to get rid of.
Caprillic acid. You can get that at the health food
store caprillic acid, and then use t tree oil topically
in the area where the fungus you can see it

(36:46):
and get it up underneath that nail as best you can.
So there you have it, Bernie. Thank you for your
phone call. Stay tuned, We're coming right back. It's the

Day, all right, Clara, thank you. Osteopenia is the stage
of disease before osteoporosis or Briddle bone disease. You're doing
some good things, Claire. Congratulations about the weight bearing exercise
and takeing vitamin D three and also switch it over
now to K two. I would suggest you take something
called MK seven, a form of vitamin K, and then

(39:46):
make sure you're getting magnesium sit trade or key late
and strontium as well as silica. These are all in
supplementar get them under the brand Labeltary Naturally vitamins, strontium
and silica. And you may also because you're you know
you're gonna lose a certain amount of bone mass past menopause.
You know one, I think one and a half percent

(40:07):
per year. So if you're if you're just holding your own,
you're probably winning the battle, but you may need some
digestive enzymes. You might want to also be checked for
toxic metal poisoning, or sex hormone deficiency or thyroid problems,
because all of those can contribute to your inability to
build that bone back up sufficiently to get out of

(40:28):
the osteopenia category that you keep finding yourself in when
you go to your doctor's office. I would suggest you
work with a functional, functional medicine trained doctor and they
can work this out for you. Clara, all right, thank
you for your phone call again, Clara, Stay tuned, ladies
and gentlemen. I'm doctor Bob Martin.
