A two to two. And the extension of the radio
program is the website, where you find news from around
the globe. You'll find the podcast library. You also find
access to the social media platforms that I participate in Instagram,
(03:59):
x LinkedIn. It's all there, doctor bob dot com spelling
out the word doctor dct rbob dot com. All right,
we begin talking about a subject that we should talk about,
even though it's a little touchy. Well I don't mean
that in a physical form, but it is a little
bit controversial, and that is women's butts size surprisingly linked
(04:25):
to colon cancer. That's what the research scientists are saying now.
Recent research data ranked the average hip size for women
in seventeen different countries, which usually corresponds to how big
their buttocks are. And here we see now a connection
(04:50):
between the size of somebody's booty, somebody's butt and the
potential risk of that person with that size of butt
contracting colon cancer, which is on the rise. We're reading
about it all over the place now. And here we
take a look at some countries. And you might have
(05:11):
already conjured up the country with the largest butt size
in the world. You think in probably what somewhere in
South America? You would be wrong. Well, how about South Africa.
South Africa took the top spot with an average hip
(05:32):
size of forty one point seven three inches followed closely
by Argentina forty one inches, and perhaps surprisingly this really
surprised me Sweden coming in at forty point nine inches
in terms of hip size, and researchers are linking the
(05:55):
larger the hip size, the larger the butt size, the
larger the risk of the development of a brutal disease
we call colon cancer. Meanwhile, here in the US, we
failed to crack the top five despite record levels of obesity,
which amazes me as three and four adults are now
(06:19):
unhealthy in terms of weight here in the United States.
And however, there were major caveats for the research. For example, Brazil, Brazil,
long considered the world's capital for big rear ends, was
not included in the data set. And I think if
they were included in this data set, they would be
number one. I don't know why, maybe because down there
(06:42):
it's just like you're born with it, that's it. Or
and there's a lot of surgeries I understand down there
where people are flying into Brazil to get bud implants. Oh,
I kid you not, and that could be a total
disaster in and of itself. We've talked about it here
on the show. I'm not going to get into it
right now now. While the researchers did not provide methodology
(07:03):
for the rankings, country data suggests obesity, bone structure, and
cosmetic surgery booms could provide some insight. The ranking comes
amid recent research suggesting people with larger hips are at
an increased risk of colon cancer, which has soared to
(07:26):
epidemic levels, especially in young Americans now. The research was
published earlier this month. They found that seventeen percent of
colon cancers could be linked to high waste circumference, which
includes buttock size. This is roughly one ladies and one
in six cancers now. And in their study Argentina who
(07:49):
came in a close second at forty one inches on average.
It's capital city of Buenos Aris or I've been in
a beautiful place. They have unbelievables, I e. Bowls there,
That's what I remember. Wuenas Ares is seen as the
world's plastic surgery hub, including procedures such as the BBLS.
(08:13):
That's the butt implects. I guess because the surgeons are
so adept at doing that. People are flying into Buenos
Aires to get these surgeries, which makes no sense to
me because I've heard horror stories about it. Now, Sweden
has the third largest hip size with forty point nine
despite the genotype of its women being tall, thin and blonde.
(08:39):
You have Greece and Germany rounding out the top five
at forty point seven four and forty point six inches respectively.
And meanwhile the US just barely barely to crack the
top five, coming in at number six at forty point
two inches. On average. Indian women had the most slender
(08:59):
hips at just thirty six point one inches, which could
be due to India having the second lowest obesity rate
out of nearly two hundred countries. And so of course
Indian women have to be doing like a sigh of
relief here saying, oh, I'm so worried about colon cancer.
(09:22):
I moved to the United States, and unfortunately I may
have to eat more of the standard American diet otherwise,
not as the Sad diet, and that leaves me at
a greater risk of colon cancer. That's for sure. I
need to get back to the diet that I was
consumed that I lived on in India when I was
living there. Yes, you do, because if you eat the
(09:45):
sad diet, your hips will grow and your risk of
cancer will grow too. Now, the researchers did not provide
the reasons for why these countries ranked the way they did,
though country data and studies show that obea city, plastic surgery,
bone structure, and inhabitants could explain the rates. So, if
(10:11):
you have concerns, and you should about any form of cancer,
and in this particular instance, we're talking about the surprising
linkage between women's butts size and a rise in the
levels of colon cancer, it all goes back to diet,
(10:34):
lifestyle and our ability to prevent these things. You can't
do anything about the structure of your body. You're going
to change that what you're born with. You you select
certain parents, that's it. But you don't. You don't have
to necessarily add poundage and excess fuel on the body
and stay on a healthy diet. We'll be right back
with phone calls. I'm doctor Bob Martin.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
Knows which plantthrownly knows the samess.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
Which All right, welcome or welcome back to this hour
of the Doctor Bob Martin Show. I want to let
you know we're getting ready to start answering our health
related questions and get phoned into our toll free number,
and you can call this number as well. It's the
Doctor Bob Martin Show. Call her hotline phone number. We
accept calls on the topic of health. Anybody needing help,
(11:45):
I'm here for you. And if you've got a loved
one or a friend, or a neighbor or a co
worker who's got a health related problem you want to
bring some information back to them, you can do that
as well. You can call it in there behalf. Here's
the number jotted down for safe keeping. Eight hundred six
zero six eight eight two to two, taking questions on
the topic of health and hopefully knocking them out of
(12:08):
the park. Eight hundred six zero six eight eight two
to two. All right, We're going to begin with phone
calls and questions. First up is Sandy calling in from
abington Virginia.
Speaker 4 (12:22):
My name is Sandy. I'm from Abingdon, Virginia, and I
love your program. I'm so glad I could finally get through.
I have essential tremors and they are very bad. They
put me on pro tannanol and it helps a little bit.
(12:44):
Is there anything else I could do or take? Thank
you so much, Doctor Bob for your program.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
You're very welcome, Sandy, and thank you for your kind
comment there. Yes, there is something you can use usually
do four tremors. Tremors. Of course, people who associate most
tremors with Parkinson's disease, where you get people with their
head shake in their handshaking, the pill rolling effect. But
there's also many different forms of tremors, essential tremors, and
I think that's probably what you're talking about here first
(13:17):
and foremost, Sandy. Hopefully some of these things has already
been told to you, so I'll just reinforce it and
if there's anything new, it's up for consideration for you.
Number One, you shouldn't be using anything that overstimulates your
nervous system, like caffeine, so go to ground zero and caffeine.
Go to herbal teas or even these herbal coffees like
Roma and Caffex and Pero. You can get them in
(13:40):
health food stores. It tastes just like coffee. They smell
like coffee, but there's no caffeine in it to stimulate
and already stressed nervous system. Try to avoid sweets and
sugar and things like that that spike your your glucose
and your cortisol level that also puts your nervous system
under stress. Try to avoid that. Try to day on
(14:00):
a steady diet and away from these fast acting candies
and junk foods and ice cream and soda pops and desserts.
They're all things that will make this worse because of
spiking of stress related hormones and also stripping the body
of be complex vitamins which help the nervous system to
stay calm and relaxed. Very very important to stay away
(14:21):
from the sugars and the caffeines that they make these
tremors worse and it can actually cause them. Now. You
should also, of course, participate in some form of exercise,
and the best one that I find is just walking
walking one to three miles a day. It calms the
tremors down because it teaches you what it feels like
(14:41):
to be in that relaxation technique zone. It really does work.
And you can also participate of course in deep breathing
exercises and meditation to quiet the nerves, because what happens
with people with tremors is they fight them and they
panic and then it just makes it just that much worse.
You got to learn how to go into the a
chill zone if you will. You should also try to
(15:03):
find a doctor who's trained in functional medicine. They can
check your cortisol levels by measuring your saliva and give
you or recommend certain botanical supplements to calm down the
excessive stress hormone of cortisol, which in turn calms the
tremor down, and also things to keep your blood sugar
(15:23):
and balance. Now, there's also lab tests that you can
get Sandy for measuring your dopamine and seratonin and some
of these other things that certain doctors, but you have
to find a special doctor who's trained in functional medicine.
Conventionally trained doctors are not going to really even understand
this or want to participate in it at all, because
(15:44):
they're giving you the propenanol and other drugs to just
suppress it rather than try to get to the reason
why it's there. Now, I've had great success at recommending
to people with tremors, whether it be from Parkinson's or
an essential tremor, using nicotine guns. This may sound strange.
I'm not saying take up smoking cigarettes or anything, but
if you chew nicotine gum, nicotine's an herb. If you
(16:09):
do that that tends to calm down tremors. Nicotine gum
or a nicotine patch. It does work. All people who
have tremors, however, should be on basic nutrition, including Omega
three oils. There's also a supplement in the marketplace called
Dopa Dopa dopa four hundred. It is a plant that
(16:34):
comes from a bean that helps your body to get
this dopamine in because a lot of these problems with
tremors has to do with the brain and dopamine production.
So Dopa dopa four hundred is the supplement by a
company called America's Finest. You can get a hold of
(16:56):
them at eight hundred three fives zero three three zero
five eight hundred three five zero three three zero five.
You're looking for Dopa d O p A four hundred. Yeah,
that stuff works. Also in the in the in the
health food story you can get you can try kava
tea or skull cap herbs. Both all of them help
(17:19):
to calm the nervous system down. All right, appreciate your
phone call setting. Next up is Wayne calling in from
the state of Kentucky.
Speaker 5 (17:26):
Wayne calling from Minecast, Kentucky pun callering reference to my
whole city Hope cost. The ts becoming a real entire problem.
I've been using the lift, but it's only it takes
a lot of time this morning, don't be had any
(17:50):
thank you?
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Okay, yes, Wayne, thanks for your phone call. Yeah, severe constipation.
The first thing you need to do is stop all
dairy products. Dairy product constipate people, as do meats. There's
no fiber in them and so the body has to
work hard to get rid of them. Unlike plant foods
stimulates peristaltic movement of the gas tro intestinal track, the
(18:13):
musculature that moves stuff out after our body deals with
it food wise, and dairy products and meat products are
constant being so cut down way down on that. You
can have obviously some yogurt maybe butters okay, But other
than that, way down on the dairy and the meats.
And if you want to have some meat, have some
good fresh wild caught salmon, okay, And do that for
(18:36):
about fourteen days when try to eat lots of veggies, fruits,
especially figs and prunes. They're phenomenal for people who have
trouble with consumpation.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
Beans.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
Make sure you're using one hundred percent whole grains. Maybe
try some millets, some quene wath, some amaranth. If these
things sound unfamiliar, familiar to go to the health food
store and get some help. At a health grocery store,
they'll help guide you. Make sure you're drinking at least
one half of your body weight in ounces of pure
(19:11):
water per day. Not sink water that's chlorinated, which strips
the good oils out of you, which just compromises your
gastro intestino track. Again, try to walk one to three miles.
Very important to avoid excessive sitting. If you're sitting more
than twenty minutes or thirty minutes at a time, you're
just adding to your constipation woes. Now, some medical drugs
(19:34):
or some medications also cause constipation, particularly if you're on
any painkillers that have opioids in them, opioid drugs for pain,
antidepressant drugs, depressant antidepressant drugs, anti acid drugs, heartburn drugs,
and even calcium or iron supplements all of them can
(19:56):
cause constipation. Some of the colonergic drugs or anti convulsive drugs, narcotics,
and diuretics all cause or potentially cause constipation, so you
want to stay away from them. And if you're on
any of those. See your doctor or your pharmacist about
how to extricate yourself. Go to the health food store
and purchase something called apple pectin capsules. This will help
(20:21):
you out and take like four of those three times
a day until that bodel starts acting right. Also, of course,
stand on top the water. There's a mineral that helps
with constipation, magnesium sit trait. I'd maybe take five hundred
milligrams of that three times a day on an empty stomach.
And this should get better. If you put all these
(20:43):
things into motion, wane and take a look at it,
your constipation should improve. Appreciate your phone call. Ladies and gentlemen,
stay tuned. We're coming right back. It's the Doctor Bob
Martin Show. Are you waiting for the right excuse? Are
(21:03):
you waiting for sign?
Speaker 3 (21:04):
And choose? While you're waiting, it's the time.
Speaker 4 (21:08):
Is money in.
Speaker 6 (21:14):

Speaker 3 (21:21):
Type in phone.
Speaker 2 (21:25):

(22:48):
it fair for them. That number is eight hundred six

health comments the doctor Bob Martin Shaw call her hotline
eight hundred six zero six eight eight two two. If
you have something on your mind health wise right now,
call tell doctor Bob word Hurts eight hundred six zero
(23:09):
six eighty eight twenty two. I mean, before we get
back to your phone calls and questions, I want to
let you know that scientists have made a major discovery
about a substance that is in minute quantities in certain
foods that can help our mobility, our cognitive health, and
(23:30):
a whole variety of other health conditions that I'm ready
to tell you about. And that particular substance is called
palmettoy lethanolamine palmetto lethanolamine. Say that five times in a row, Well,
the good news is you don't have to. All you
need to remember are the letters PEA, which stands for
(23:54):
paulmettoy lethanolamine. PEA is short for this special nutrient found
in small quantities in eggyoaks and other foods. Scientific research
shows that pea can address things like muscle pain and
recovery arthritis symptoms. As I said, it can improve your mobility,
(24:17):
your cognitive health, and a multitude of other health concerns,
including allergies, respiratory symptoms, even fibromyatia. And because of this
pea's anti inflammatory action, researchers have investigated its ability to
relieve pain in a variety of conditions including sciatica neuropathy,
(24:38):
temporal mandibular joint problems or TMJ pain, just to name
a few. Plus in scientific research on the most common
form of arthritis, oste arthritis, PEA the substance is now
available in a supplement and it can lower levels of
inflammatory markers shown to damage cartilage and reduce nie swelling
(25:01):
by taking this as a supplement. We're talking about PEA
short for this palmetto lethanolomy. So if you are looking
to improve your overall health, consider supplementing with Pea by
Terry Naturally vitamins for the relief of both acute and
chronic pain, better physical recovery from injuries, improved mood, and
(25:22):
focus at a more robust immune system. Sounds too good
to be true, but it is true. The science shows it.
Take Pea by Terry Naturally vitamins. You can find pea
at Finer health food stores nationwide, or you can go
to Terry Naturalivitamins dot com. That's Terry Naturally Vitamins dot
(25:44):
com or finer health food stores to find the supplement
called pea. All right, let's get right back to work
with your telephone calls and your questions. Next stop is Victoria.
Speaker 7 (26:00):
Victoria, my health question is I had a brain aneurysm.
Speaker 6 (26:08):
And I survived.
Speaker 7 (26:10):
But is there anything you could recommend that I could do?
I mean, I really watch what I eat. I don't
braink ount smoke, so other than getting the contrast scans
every two years, is there anything else you would recommend?
Speaker 2 (26:29):
Okay, Victoria, thank you for your call. Sorry to hear
you had that. I mean, it's amazing. It's a miracle
you survived an aneurysm. Most people do not. It's about
a ten percent depending on the type of aneurysm. It
is either ischemic or hemorrhagic. But brain aneurysms are are
are rough. The first thing you need to be thinking about,
(26:49):
and I think your doctor's probably told you you've got
to make sure your blood pressure stays in optimal range,
somewhere as close as you can get it to one
hundred and twenty on the top. Reading the systolic reading
and eighty on the bottom the diestolic reading or below.
That's really important. Also, I have helped with many recovered
(27:12):
people who have survived brain aneurysms, and we find and
any kind of brain injury for that matter, that using
hyperbaric oxygen therapy also known short for HBOT. That stands
for hyperbaric oxygen therapy twenty to forty sessions of that
(27:33):
initially and then maintenance hyperbaric oxygen therapy for life. If
you want to keep your brain healthy, this stuff is amazing,
it's a miracle. Supplementally, you should be taking Omega three
full spectrum antioxidant formulation. Of course, eating lots of organic
(27:57):
fresh fruits and vegetables because we know antioxidants help reduce
stroke risk. Take a look dietarily at the Hawaii diet,
the Hawaii diet or the Mediterranean diet. Very important. Walking
exercise is good for you. Keep your weight in normal
(28:18):
range or optimal range, and have your blood inflammatory markers
analyzed at least every four to six months where they
can measure cardiosensitive C reactive protein, homocysteine ApoB TMAO, fibrinogen,
(28:39):
your blood sugar. If these sound normal. Excellent, your doctor's
already on this. If they sound foreign and they haven't
been done, they need to be And if your doctor
refuses to do it, find a new doctor, a doctor
trained in functional medicine. Perhaps Additionally, some people who have
these ischemic strokes and they have put people on anti
(29:03):
coagulating drugs and they don't like it, there is an option.
The option in the marketplace is called vascular defense. Vascular
Defense is a nutrition supplement by accompanied by the name
of sun Nutrition at sunnutrition dot com. You might want
to take a look at that, ask your doctor about it,
have a health professional help you with it as well.
(29:24):
All right, we're going to take a break here. We
don't have time to get to the next caller. And
when we come back, we're going to hear from Larry,
who is calling in from Plattville, Wisconsin about replacement ankle surgery.
A lot of joints are replaced out there, hip joints, shoulders, ankles.
(29:48):
Are there ways to go besides joint replacements, prosthesis? Well,
we'll talk about that after this break. So stay tuned.
You're tuned into the Doctor Bob Martin Show.
Speaker 8 (30:02):
So I'm a bush of number. Simoncible, the old one
ever singles up.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
I'm all right, Doctor Bob Martin back with you. Next hour,
we're going to get into some very interesting, uh issues
and topics. We'll have for you this week's installments of
the Health Alternative of the Week, the Health Outrage of
the Week. We've got a product recall to tell you about,
(30:48):
as well as we'll finish next hour with the Health
Mystery of the Week. And in between all of that,
we're gonna have the top ten foods that boost dopamine.
Oh yeah, dopamine drug that everybody's trying to get to.
We make it and some people tap into it regularly.
We'll talk about dopamine how you can get to it
(31:09):
without having to go to the casino, without having to
have some extreme thrill going on or drug going into
your body. You can actually tap into dopamine by increasing
it through foods. We'll get to the top ten list
next hours. So don't go anywhere. We're in the middle
of a marathon about answering health related questions or taking
comments on the topic of health on the Doctor Bob
(31:30):
Martin Show. Caller hotline phone number which you should have,
write it down, give it to people who are sick
so they can call into the program just like you.
That number is nationwide toll free eight hundred six zero
six eight eight two two eight hundred six zero six
eight eight two to two to ask a question about
health or to make a health related comment one eight
(31:51):
hundred six zero six eighty eight twenty two Back to
where we go. Next up is Larry calling in from Plattville, Wisconsin.
Speaker 9 (32:00):
Larry some Plato, Wisconsin. I got a question. I'm not
sure if you're involved in or not, but what the
outcome has been for new ankle replacements it's been successful
or new ankle replacements? Thank you.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
All right, Larry, thank you for your phone call. Now,
the reality is when somebody gets into a crushed injury
like your your your ankle is crushed. Let's say you're
in an automobile accident or something heavy falls on and
you get a crushed injury or something like that where
there's multiple fractures. Yeah, there's no there's no way around it.
You got to just punt with everything you can and
(32:43):
UH replacements surgery might be the answer, but most of
the time, when it's degenerative with ankle surgery, that's not
a crushed bone situation or some infection situation. Then it's
highly risky to go down that slippery slope of having
a joint rep placement. So I would, and it's it's
(33:03):
you know, I know doctors like to say, oh, yeah,
you'll be up and around in a certain period of time,
and we ninety five percent people are you know, happy
with it? Well, I see a lot of opposite of that.
Try everything you can larry before this extreme measure, including
but not limited to, and write this down. Go find
(33:26):
somebody who does can make sure you have in the
bottom of your soles of your shoes foot levelers. These
are orthotics because people with degenerative ankles ankles that wear
out just from standing and moving and pressure and lifting
and all of that. Over life, they're usually walking around
(33:47):
with imbalanced feet, imbalanced knees, imbalanced hips, which generate some
joint problem. Sooner or later. The weakest joint goes first,
and in this case, it could be you with your ankle,
because maybe you sprained that ankle in our times through
your life. So make sure that you have a doctor
develop what are called soft foot leveler orthotics. They go
(34:09):
in and out of your shoes you stand on them
and it corrects the towing in or the towing out.
Supernation or pronation of your feet, which puts a tremendous
pressure on your ankles makes them painful and dysfunctional, so
make sure you have foot leveler orthotics. Next, you should
try to break up some of the calcification and scarring
within the ankle joint with a therapy called soft wave therapy.
(34:34):
Find a doctor who does soft wave therapy. Sometimes you'll
need ten or twenty sessions of that. If you've got
a chronic problem, be patient. Also, if the ankle bones
are misaligned, you can get ankle manipulation. It can be
done manually. You can also access to bracing that can help.
That I would recommend for the ankle if there are
(34:55):
degenerative issues there that you find a chiropractic physician who
can perfor something called activator methods. It's done with an instrument,
so there's no cracking or popping. Activator methods chiropractic care.
Acupuncture is also effective for ankle problems, as is massage
therapy and other rehabilitative stretches and exercises. Do everything you
(35:17):
can serve before ever contemplating ankle replacement surgery or anything close.
It could be the biggest disaster you ever chose, and
once that disaster happens, you can undo it. It's like
try to unboil a hard boiled egg. You're stuck. All right,

do for vertigo?
Speaker 6 (35:46):

Speaker 2 (35:48):
All right, Debbie, Yes, thank you for your phone call. Debbie.
There is something for vertigo and people vertigo. It's a
middle ear problem. There's something called Epley maneuver. Look it
up online, Epley epp l E. Why do the Epple
maneuver three times a day on your bed? Google it.
Find a chiropractor who can look at your upper cervical area,
neck bones at the very top of your neck where
(36:10):
your skull meat. If they're misaligned there, it can absolutely
throw off your balance in your body. Even your jaw
misalignment can do the same thing. There are homeopathic remedies
that can help vertigo. One is called verta fix. Maybe
you can find that in the health food store. Vertafix
by Natural care products. Also, a lot of people have
vertigo and dizziness. It's an inner nasal problem like a
(36:34):
sinus problem. So deal with that with something called Clear
Rescue Nasal Spray. Use it three times a day and
get that in the health food store as well. Clear
is spelled x l ear Rescue Nasal Spray. There you
have a day, Debbie, go to work on that, and
good luck and thank you for your phone call. Stay tuned,

Back to the phones. Next up, we say hello to
Mike in Bullhead's City, Arizona.
Speaker 6 (37:59):
Yes, Mic, Bullhead City, Arizona. Question on gout. I have
a list of what I can eat and what to
avoid and limit. And you just said that lentils was good.
But they have at the bottom dried beans and lentils
that I should avoid or limit as far as my
(38:23):
diet is concerned. Thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (38:28):
Okay, Mike, thank you for your phone call. The biggest
picture with gout is the removal of red meat, seafood, sweets,
sugar desserts, soda, pop, alcohol, ice cream. Those are the biggies.
Those are the ones that will generate more uric acid
(38:49):
and more inflammation and to give you grief in your
lower extremities than any other food. So those are the
ones to avoid. Those are the ones to focus on.
You can also, Mike, to reduce the uric acid content.
You can go to the health food store and pick
up two things. One is celery seed extract. It's a supplement,
(39:12):
it's in capsule form. Celery seed extract is incredible at
lowering the inflammatory process and lowering the uric acid count
in people who have gouty arthritis. Stuff's amazing. I've used
it for years on many gout patients and we're able
to extricate them from the harsh drugs that are often
(39:34):
prescribed for gout. You should also use cherry juice in
a concentrated form. In other words, you go to the
health food store, you get cherry juice concentrates, very tart,
there's no sugar in it. Use one third cranberry con
one third cherry juice concentrate to two thirds pure water.
(39:57):
Drink at least a quart of that a day. Healthy
whole foods like fruits, veggies, not seeds. I have no
problem with certain legumes. Lentils usually is not a problem
at all. It's really the meat, the red meat, particularly
the seafood, the wild game, the organ meats. They should
(40:18):
be just absolute zero coming into your body, and particularly
the sugar. And if you want a good anti inflammatory
to knock down the inflammatory process, go to the health
food store and get like curra met or curem In's.
There's also a formula called vascular defense. It's great as
an anti inflammatory by sun Nutrition at sunnutrition dot com
(40:39):
vascular Defense. You have a lot of options there and
I appreciate your phone call, my good health to you.
Stay tuned. You're tuned into the Doctor Bob Martin Show.
