(02:41):
Every call that gets in and on the air, we
have a value set on that of two hundred dollars.
Because why you have two doctors, two licensed physicians, one physician.
One physician has two doctorates. That's doctor Adam Brockman. So
I mean, really, what is the value? Well, somebody my
producers said, doctor Bobby, you should set a minimum value

(03:02):
if every time a caller gets on the air, that
has a value of at least two hundred dollars. So
the caller is ahead by two hundred dollars. Okay, so
be it. I didn't set that value. Some people said
it should even be higher. So it just means it's
not a cost to you, it's free ninety nine to you.
Will that work for you? Again? The number to ask

(03:23):
your health question or make your health comment one eight
hundred six zero six eight eight two two eight hundred
six zero six eight a two to two. The website
doctor bob dot com for all things news, spelling out
the word doctor d Octo r bob dot com. All right, now,

(03:43):
as promised, I want to talk about cosmetic surgery. Oh
my gosh, it's just exploding. I mean, cosmetic surgers. Surgeons
are so busy it's hard to get into them. In
the United States, there's nearly two million surgical cosmetic procedure
is performed each year, and I think that's under reported.

(04:03):
The top cosmetic plastic surgeon A top cosmetic plastic surgeon
reveals why certain people should not should not have cosmetic
procedures performed. Unfortunately, people with low self esteem and social
media pressure via TV magazines in the Internet exposed people

(04:28):
to beauty standards and trends, influencing their desire for cosmetic
procedures as though it's the equivalent of getting a haircut
or a manicure. I mean, they really do. I mean
people say, oh, you know, I'll just go in and
I'm going to get some work done, as though it's
that simple. And I've had many people in my own

(04:50):
practices over the years say talked about I'm thinking about
having you know, fill in the blank cosmetic surgery. What
do you think? And I usually say to them some
along the line, look, that's certainly your prerogative. It's your body,
your choice, right, but do you know the risks? Do
you know that if you come out the other end
of that surgery looking like an alien, it may be

(05:12):
the rest of your life you're staring in the mirror
hating what you did? Is are you prepared for that?
Are you prepared to forgive your cosmetic surgeon if not
a single person in your family or friends can recognize
you after that person slices, cut, slices and dices you,
are you prepared for that? And if they are still
down for it and motivated because that's the only thing

(05:33):
left in their life, I guess, then go for it.
But know what you're doing. So what I found is
there is a top surgeon who said, look, there are
certain types of people who should just not have plastic
surgery that are getting it. This according to doctor Charles Lee,
a board certified plastic surgeon of Beverly Hills, has revealed

(05:57):
why certain people should not get plastic surgery, and a
lot of them do, no matter what. Number one people
with body dysmorphia. Body dysmorphia is a disorder. It's a
mental health condition that causes you to excessively and obsessively criticize,
perceive defects or flaws in your appearance. In other words,

(06:18):
you're hating on yourself all day long. And you think
that somebody who chops and channels you are are going
to fix the problem. And you think it's a minor
deal to go underneath the knife and have it done
with all the work, because you see, you see the
Kardashians doing it. You see everything on TV with all
these reality shows. He's well, hey, it's normal, isn't it.
And then you pull the trigger and then you look

(06:42):
like you know, somebody who's been mangled at the end.
I mean, you've seen and the only people that you
see who are mangled are those people who are like,
you know, movie stars. Is that Kenny Rogers It looks
kind of looks like him, but it's really not that
Joan Rivers. It kind of looks like is that really

(07:03):
Michael Jackson? His nose has been chopped off, it's hanging
by a threat. I mean, I've seen some really gnarly
nasty cosmetic surgeries, and I'm thinking to myself, I wonder
how bad those people feel now that they have gone
through it and they can't fix it. It's like trying
to unboil a hard boiled egg. Not gonna happen. We

(07:25):
move on with doctor Charles Lee, Board certified plastic surgery
saying the types of people who should never ever get
plastic surgery. Number two control freaks and perfectionists, people who
are extremely particular in life and cannot bear slight asymmetries
should not underg go any kind of cosmetic procedure because

(07:47):
perfectionists and control freaks tend to have a strong drive
for flawlessness, which can lead to unrealistic expectations about the
outcome of plastic surgery. So if they go away and
they have let's say, rhino plast you, or a nose
job or an eyelid surgery and it doesn't come out
just perfect, they think it's uneven for the rest of

(08:07):
their life, and now they hate themselves every day they're
thinking about it, worrying about it, thinking why should I
go in and get another one done and get screwed
up again or even worse. Number three on the list
of people, according to doctor Charles lead Board certified plastic surgeon,
who should never ever have cosmetic surgery. People with delusional expectations.

(08:30):
Over the last few years, social media has convinced people
that have plastic surgery they can completely fix all their
problems and be like a Barbie doll or a Ken
doll and just be looking PERFECTO. It's important to understand
it is impossible for plastic surgery to completely alter facial
and bodily structures. That according to a plastic surgeon. All right,

(08:53):
so number four are moving on. People should not have
plastic surgery. People who are bleeders who eat easily. Lastly,
people who have a tendency to bleed easily or excessively
should opt out of elective surgeries. One in ten people
have a tendency to bleed during surgery, and while those
with milder conditions such as vitamin K defficiency should treat

(09:16):
those before seeking treatment, but others severe bleeders need to
be very careful with this. And I think a lot
of people don't even know their bleeders before they go
into the surgery, and they find out where there's after
the surgery, and they learned about the emergency that they
had to have all these blood transfusions. So, in my
humble opinion, the only people who should undergo plastic surgery

(09:39):
are people who have been physically traumatized in life, such
as people who are burn victims, or somebody who's had
a severe cut and there's a massive keyloid scar and
they want to try to change it up a little bit,
or a wound from an accident, or maybe a malformation
like a cleft palace. I can totally see all of

(10:01):
that For all the rest who were motivated to undergo
cosmetic surgery because you look at people like Kim Kardashian
and others and wish you were hur or somebody else.
Please please find another way to fall back in love
with yourself, including the way you look on the outside.

(10:25):
That's really what this is ultimately about, is regaining the
love for yourself that you're perfect in every way, no
matter what you've said to yourself, your own self talk,
or somebody has said to you, or somebody has put
you down, or you're comparing yourself to somebody, Please don't
do that. You are perfect, You are beautiful in every way.

(10:47):
Resist cosmetic surgery. Whenever and wherever possible. All right, we're
gonna come back. Stay with us. You're tuned into the
Doctor Bob Martin Show.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
Go test.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
All right, you're tuned into the Doctor Bob Martin Show.
With us is doctor Adam Brockman. We're getting ready to
launch into answering questions on the Doctor Bob Martin Show.
Caller hotline phone number which you can, of course have
access to yourself and ask a question about your own
health or somebody else's health or making a health comment.

(11:38):
You can do that anytime of the night or day.
It's twenty four seven three sixty five eight hundred and
six zero six eight eight two two one eight hundred
six zero six eighty eight twenty two is the phone
number to have your health question answered. It is now time,
ladies and gentlemen, for the health alternative of the week. Hi,

(12:12):
welcome you back to the Doctor Bob Martin Show. The
New York Post recently posted an article about how grapes.
Eating grapes a sixty two calorie snack can prevent cancer
and improve your sleep and even lower your risk of

(12:33):
all kinds of other diseases and even help your sleep.
You might want to check that article out about grapes
and how fantastic they are. Because they are affordable, they
are delicious, we don't eat enough of them. They are power,
a powerhouse of nutrients, so many benefits. This week's health

(12:54):
alternative of the Week is organic grapes. Our food should
be nourishing and safe to eat, but more than ten
thousand chemicals, some of which are potentially toxic, are allowed
in our fruits, our veggies, the cereals, the snacks, the meats,

(13:17):
and other food types sold throughout the United States. Grapes, however,
are one of the most heavily sprayed fruits. Did you
know that grapes? They have been sprayed to the max
to keep the pests from eating them away so that
the farmer can't take them to market. Grapes are the

(13:39):
most heavily sprayed fruits, and their dried counterparts, like raisins,
carry even a higher level of pesticides. According to the USDA,
the United States Department Agriculture, testing raisins and grapes, they
found an average of sixteen different pesticide per sample. Yikes. Wow,

(14:05):
I didn't know that. I knew there was a problem there,
and maybe that's why I don't eat grapes unless are organic.
Why do I want to eat pesticides? Why do I
want to feed pesticides to my grandchildren when they're here
in the house. No, no, no, you want organic. That
way you're assured of not having any pesticide like RAID
or some other pesticide on those grapes. Because they are

(14:27):
a major offender. They allow this in the agriculture area.
Not good. What's more, after fruits are dried, conventional methods
fungicide raisins with toxic gases to ward off pests during

(14:48):
the storage and shipping phases, and studies have shown that
these fumigants, such as ethylene oxide, used on raisins and
other dried fruit can be very harmful and leave residue
on it. You can't wash it off, it becomes part
of the fruit. Organic however, organic standards prohibit the use

(15:08):
of these fungicides and pesticides, keeping them out of your lungs,
out of your body, out of your cells, which could
create potential problems down the road. Children under the age
of fifteen eat a total of about two hundred and
eight million pounds of raisins each year, according to Zion
Market Research. Kids love raisins. Make sure they're raisins are

(15:33):
organic so they're not getting all these fumigants pesticides which
undermine their long term health. Their analysis shows two thirds
of raisins are consumed as ingredients in other foods like cereals, bread, salads,
trail mix, and even standalone snacks. So the next time
you're out shopping for a healthy snack, something good to eat,

(15:56):
make sure that it is organic grapes, organic grapes. And
hopefully you have a natural grocery store near you, but
if you don't, you can maybe look for another store
that has organic fruits and vegetables and shop in there
and get the organic grapes your kids are gonna love.
In fact, to keep the kids off the junk food,

(16:17):
what we used to do is freeze the grapes in
the freezer, and then when they wanted some junk food sugar,
we'd pull out the grapes and have them gnaw on
the frozen organic grapes. Try it. You'll like it. You'll
be amazed at how much they ask for it from
that point forward. And they put the I was gonna
say a bad word there. They will put the skittles

(16:37):
down those poisonous skittles that are full of hydrogenated fat
and every poison you can think of, artificial everything, and
hopefully they'll be banned soon. But the health outrage of
the week health alternative of the week is organic grapes.
All right now, then let's get back to work with
your telephone calls and questions. Doctor Brockman, are you ready

(16:59):
to go?

Speaker 5 (17:00):
Let's go?

Speaker 4 (17:01):
All right?

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Here is Mike in Kiwani, Illinois.

Speaker 6 (17:07):
Mike Paunee, Illinois. Love your show. Once your reaction or
your evaluation of a prominent but reactive lymph node in
my left in Guno area. They want to do a
CT scan without or with contrast, I'm not sure. I've
got two different opinions on that over my abdomen and

(17:30):
Pope televis region to get a better look at the
Iguno area. I appreciate your comments and your reaction to it.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
Thank you, Bye, okay, Mike, thank you for your call.
Doctor Brockman. How would you advise Mike on this question?

Speaker 3 (17:45):
Well, I think I think what they're looking for here
are infections, could be bacterial, maybe viral. It also may
be a previous injury or trauma, but more concerning here
is are we looking at these lymph nodes for cancer?
Is there any history of cancer or is there something
that is a nodule or or a lump there that

(18:08):
is concerning that. I think that's what they're looking for.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
Yeah, and it could even be you know, it could
be the potential of hernia starting there too. I mean
it could be an england old hernia because that's exactly
what they feel like. Is it kind of like a
bump or a swollen lymph node there? But no doubt
about it, Mike. These types of examinations are important when
something comes up like this. This is where diagnostic tools

(18:37):
can get in and definitively look at that. Where you
have to be careful as a consumer, however, is let's
say the doctor comes back and says, oh, yeah, we
see something there, Mike, and we need to do a biopsy.
Now is when you should put your filter up hardcore,
because let's say that it, you know, God d forbid,

(19:00):
it is a cancer, cancerous lymph node that's in your
groin area and they want to biopsy it so that
they can justify something in the future, another procedure down
the road. You know, standard of practice, Well, they biopsy,
they opened up that capsule of that cancer. Let's say
it's there, hopefully it's not, and now they spread cancer

(19:23):
everywhere in your body via your lymphatic system. Not that
we want to talk you out of having a biopsy,
but rather know what you're getting into before you do it.
So diagnostic tests, palpation examination, blood tests excellent. But it's
when the biopsy comes out when the needle has to

(19:45):
go into that tissue. If that is what's ultimately recommended,
that you have to put the brakes on and say, Okay,
what are the risks if this is an isolated cancer
in that area alone, what are the risks of sticking
a needle into that lesion, into that cancerous tumor, if
in fact it's there, and having those cells now seed

(20:08):
themselves in other parts of the body. That's what you
should do. Get the second third opinion on that. But
in the meantime, i'd also if it is diagnosed, if
you are diagnosed with cancer, I'll start thinking about the
possibility of seeking out alternative cancer therapies, which take a
whole different tact away from the conventional method of cutburn

(20:30):
and poison, which has a very poor track record of
about three percent three percent long term survival on cancer
ninety seven percent failure across the board. So think long
and hard, but we wish you well and appreciate your
phone call Mike. All right, ladies and gentlemen, stay tuned.

(20:52):
We're coming right back, and you are tuned into the
Doctor Bob Martin Shows.

Speaker 7 (21:00):
Mistakes, but everybody's got a choice to make.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
Everybody needs a leap.

Speaker 4 (21:06):
Of faith when a taking yours money, you info ry.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
We welcome you back to this hour of the Doctor
Bob Martins Show. Thank you for tuning into the program
and telling others to do the very same thing. If
you ever miss a show, you can always pick it
up again or listen to it all over again. Or

that you think could benefit by tuning into the program,
but they missed this program, they can always go into
the podcast library, which are a collection of shows. This

(21:42):
one will be posted up a couple hours after the program.
You can find it over at Radioamerica dot com, Radio
America dot com or on my personal website at doctor
Bob dot com spelling out the word doctor Bob dot com.
We'll get back to more of your phone calls and
health related questions momentarily, and if you want to join

(22:04):
us by asking a question about your own health, we'd
love to have you do so. Or if you have
a health related comment, that's good too. Just jot down
the doctor Bob Martin Show. Call her hotline phone number
to get into that process, get into being able to
do that at one eight hundred six zero six eight
eight two two. That's the number to call to ask

(22:27):
a question either about yourself or somebody else, a health
related question or health comment. Eight hundred six zero six
eight eight two two one eight hundred six zero six
eighty eight twenty two. We'll get back to more of
your calls and questions momentarily, but first we have for
you this week's installment of the Health Outrage of the Week.

Speaker 4 (22:50):
Sheeezink. You don't believe it.

Speaker 8 (22:53):
Come on each time for the health Outbridge because it's nothing, but.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
It is outrageous. And you probably know by now that
Elon Musk and Robert Kennedy Junior, the Health and Human
Services Secretary, they're trying to look at where all the
fraud and abuse is going on and excess of spending
in the healthcare system and other areas the Musk is

(23:25):
looking at. But now they're looking into the healthcare system
at where all the fraud and abuse and misuse is
going on. And this week I learned that our tax
dollars are being spent in the amount of, get this,
two billion dollars, two billion dollars of your money and

(23:49):
my money, and doctor Adam Brockman's money went to pay
for unnecessary back surgeries of people ensured by Medicare and
Medicaid two billion dollars. Now you might say, well, yeah,
but uh, isn't back surgery sometimes necessary? Oh, yes it is.

(24:13):
But we're talking about two million dollars worth of unnecessary
back surgeries on unsuspecting patients that happened to have government
related insurance that doctors could tap and it didn't have
to come out of the consumer's pocket directly, even though
their tax dollars are going to pay it. Medicare and

(24:34):
Medicaid patients two billion dollars worth of unnecessary back surgeries.
Ladies and gentlemen, the medical system in this country has
had a blank check to fill in long enough. Think
about the poor souls who were cut, sliced and diced
with back surgery that didn't need the back surgery and

(24:57):
now they have real problems that can never be undone.
But the doctors, the unethical doctors. Not all doctors are
this way. There are plenty of doctors who are dedicated
to help a lot of people with back problems, even
in back surgery when it's indicated, when it's applicable. But
to purposely look at those Medicare and Medicaid patients coming

(25:21):
through the door as a ticket to a vacation home
in the Caribbean, a high dollar surgery when they really
don't need surgery is so outrageous. Two billion dollars they uncovered.
And I think that's an understatement. I think it's a

(25:41):
lot more than that. Just in the category of back surgery.
One can only wonder how many other surgeries like gallbladder
surgeries and other surgeries that are unnecessary that go on
every single day. And this is why you need advocacy.
That's why you need a healthcare provider right alongside of
you to help you to determine are these things really necessary?

(26:03):
You should ask questions, ask the right questions, get an
a budsman, somebody that can partner with you and say, uh,
you know, maybe like a general doctor says, well, maybe
we should think about this. Have you for your back pain?
Have you tried chiropractic yet? If you have it, you're
missing the boat. It's the most successful way to treat
back problems, and it saves people from unnecessary surgery, which

(26:27):
can be crippling to them physically and crippling to our
country financially. When you think about the two billion dollars
and I think that's under reported that doctors are reaping
by doing these unnecessary back surgeries. It's crazy of these unscrupulous,
unethical doctors and surgeons out there. Hopefully this area of

(26:48):
medical fraud and abuse will improve under the watchful eye
of the new Health and Human Services Secretary Bobby Kennedy
Junior by requiring every every single back patient, anybody who's
got back pain, they receive a second or third opinion
and treatment if necessary, by a licensed chiropractic physician minimal

(27:13):
doctor Brockman, I don't want to have you weigh in
on this, since you have two doctorates yourself.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
I completely agree with you on this. Before any surgery,
there needs to be conservative management of these conditions. Chiropractic care,
even just functional movement, moving around, walking, taking walks. All
these things are important. We've got to strengthen that core,
strengthen those back muscles. First and foremost. Conservative treatment should

(27:39):
be the first, the first form of treatment in this matter.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
All right, very good, Let's go to the phones now
at eight hundred and six zero six eight eight two
to two. One eight hundred and six zero six eight
eight two to two. Next up is Robert calling in
from Lumberton, Texas.

Speaker 9 (27:56):
Hi, doctor Bob, this is Robert. I'm calling from one
in Texas. I listened to you at thirteen hundred every Sunday.
I just want to every Sunday morning. Just wanted to
let you know that I appreciate your coverage. Your recent
coverage on the flu vaccine. I thought that was very
well thought out and very well researched. I appreciate listening

(28:21):
to you. Please have a great day and keep up
good work. All be on the other side of the radio.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
Bye bye, Okay, Robert, Well, thank you very much for
your kind comment. We call that a health stroker. Let's
do it here.

Speaker 4 (28:37):
We know, wow, wow, wow, God.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
I love that music. What you're hearing there. You know,
the whole deal is Robert called into the program to
stroke the host, meaning he learns something about flu that
I talked about on a previous show. Liked what I heard,
called into the show to praise the host. Because I'll
tell you what you know, I rarely brag about myself

(29:20):
or the show, and I know, Doctor Brockman, you don't either.
It's always better to let somebody else stroke you than
you stroke yourself self. Stroking is not that much fun.
It feels so much better to be stroked by somebody
else as opposed to stroking yourself. So, ladies and gentlemen,
if there's something you heard in this show, or there's
something you like about the show, do call in stroke

(29:40):
one of us, Doctor Brockman or myself. We like having
praise heaped on us, as opposed to us patting ourselves
on the break while fracturing our own arms. We don't
do that. We let others do it for us. That's
why we call it a health stroker. We'll be right back.
It's the Doctor Bob Martin Show.

Speaker 4 (30:03):
So you sorry.

Speaker 8 (30:09):
So I'm a bush of a number, Sumoncile, the old
one never single days able.

Speaker 4 (30:27):
I don't. I'm so confident, I'm.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
Stop and welcome back to the Doctor Bob Martin the show,
Doctor Adam Brockman and I are here for you each
and every week to answer your health related questions. And
we'll get back to those questions shortly. But before we
get to that, we're going to go next to the
product recall of the week. All Right, Product recall of

(30:59):
the week. A cold drug taken by millions recalled over
a possible poisoning risk. More than two thousand bottles of
a common allergy medication used by millions have been recalled
due to the risk of child poisoning. The US Consumer
Product Safety Commission issued a recall of Benadrill Liquid Elixir.
The medication contains diphenhydramine and anahistamine used to alleviate the

(31:24):
symptoms of allergies and the common cold. It is sold
in plastic bottles, but according to the Poison Prevention Packaging Act,
products containing diphenhindronene need to be in a special child
resistant package to prevent children from assessing or accessing the medication,
which could result in poisoning. So, if you have one

(31:49):
of these drugs Bendrill or unisom or robitussin or pseudofad
or any of those drugs that contain this diphen hydromine,
and it doesn't have the absolute child proof, child proof packaging.

(32:10):
Get it back to wherever it came from, get your
money back, and get something better for it, or better yet,
find out how to treat these things without having to
go to the drugs in the first place. I have
six children, none of whom have ever had a drug
during their childhood for allergies or any other related problem.
I'm not bragging or complaining about that. I'm just telling

(32:32):
you the way it is. There are other ways you
can go about treating these benign, self limiting conditions like
the common cold and allergies without having to drug people,
without having to drug your kids. This is just another
example of that, Doctor Brockman, What you do you say, sir?

Speaker 3 (32:47):
Yeah, I agree.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
Our kids.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
We give them a daily Bulti vitamin. They have no
problem taking that, and we also during seasonal changes we
supplement with some elderberry as well.

Speaker 2 (32:59):
Super all right, let's go back to your telephone calls
and questions. Next up, we say hello to Maureen calling
in from beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii on KHVH go Hi.

Speaker 5 (33:10):
This is Maureen from Honolulu, Hawaii. I wanted to find
out if there are natural remedies.

Speaker 6 (33:17):
To get rid of a fiss.

Speaker 5 (33:20):
Look forward to a response.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
Thank you all right, doctor Brockman, I'll let you get
started with Maureen and Honolulu, Hawaii.

Speaker 6 (33:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (33:30):
I think a good one here would be the Omega
Omega three fatty acids. That's always good for heart health.
I think also taking Kyola garlic extract is a good
one as well in vascular defense by sun nutrition.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
Maureen, you were lucky they're in the beautiful state of
Hawaii otherwise known as Paradise, because there is a doctor
they're in Honolulu that I know, doctor Terry Shintani, who's
in medical doctor Harvard trained medical doctor who may be
able to help you with your AFIB problem. He is

(34:06):
the author of a book called the Hawaii Diet. You
might want to take a look at that because it's
an anti inflammatory diet. Anti inflammatory diets help people to
reduce their risks of developing heart problems, including a fib or.
Atrial fibrillation, which is an irregular, sometimes rapid heart rhythm

(34:31):
that can result in poor circulation and some cardiovascular problems.
It can be serious and needs to be monitored for sure,
But you've got the possibility of getting a copy of
his book Hawaii Diet by Doctor Terry Shintani. There's also
the Mediterranean Diet books out there where they tell people

(34:52):
who have a fib or atrifibrillation where their heart is
out of rhythm, to avoid caffeine, try to stay away
from the sugar spike, stay away from refined sugar, don't smoke,
limit alcohol or don't drink it at all, and try
to manage stress because stress can be an absolute factor
in these a fib conditions, a true fibrillation where you

(35:14):
get these cortisol spikes, and if you want, doctor Shintani
or others can even run a salivary hormone test to
measure that through an adrenal stress test that can actually
do that. And there's lots of ways to manage this
without having to do drugs. So get us second opinion,
see what happens, all right, thank you for your phone call.

(35:35):
Next up we say hello to Darlene, also from the
beautiful state of Hawaii in Waikiki, Oahu.

Speaker 5 (35:42):
Doctor God. My name is Dara Alene. I'm in Waikiki
on Oahu. Mine is a structural situation with the left
hip that goes into the flip rib or the float rib.
I get tremendous. I guess obstruction or pain in that

(36:07):
left hit situation. There is a way that I could
have it adjusted that I don't know here. I had
on the mainland someone, but here I think I don't
have anyone to out me.

Speaker 2 (36:22):
Well, Darlene, thank you for your call. You happen to
be in luck because I happen to know a great
chiropractic physician there in Oahu that I've been to myself
for care. His name is doctor Limb. Lim is spelled
l I M doctor Lim and he is at Action
Chiropractic Action Chiropractic. And his phone number is, of course

(36:46):
area code eight oh eight nine four four one one

Limb at Action Chiropractic. Good health to you. Thank you
for your phone call, Darlinge.

Speaker 7 (37:00):
Stay conscious through the maness En case. So I call
on my angels. I say, it's a little victory is

(37:20):
in your.

Speaker 4 (37:24):
All right?

Speaker 2 (37:25):
We are back Doctor Adam Brockman, and yours truly, doctor
Bob Martin. In our final segment of the show, today,
Thank you so very much for tuning into the program
and telling others to do the very same thing. Our
final segment today includes this week's installment of the Health
Mystery of the Week. Did you know that dancing reduces

(37:48):
stress better than working out at a gym? It's true.
If you're feeling overwhelmed because of stress, skip the treadmill
and turn up the music instead. A groundbreaking international study
reveals that dancing isn't just fun, it's mysteriously one of
the most effective ways to combat stress outperforming traditional workouts

(38:11):
like running and weightlifting. Published in the Psychology and Sports
Exercise Journal, the research highlights how the unique blend of music, rhythm,
social connection, and movement in dance triggers a cascade of
brain and body benefits that gym routine simply can't match.
For anyone battling anxiety, depression, or daily pressures, the solution

(38:34):
might be as simple as stepping onto a dance floor.
It's a perfect stress relief cocktail, if you will. What
makes dancing so powerful, it's the synergy of the components.
Music alone lowers cortisol, stress hormone levels, and sparks dopamine release,
Which is that pleasure hormone, while rhythmic movement induces a

(38:55):
flow state that blissful feeling of being fully absorbed in
the moment and forgetting about all your worries. When combined
with social interaction, the effect multiplies the physical touch and
connection triggers oxytocin and endorphins pleasure hormones. Even evolutionary biology
plays a role. Synchronized movement fosters bonding, an ancient survival

(39:19):
mechanism that still sues modern minds. As mysterious as it
may sound, dance isn't just exercise. It's medicine. Medicine. Dance's medicine.
Whether it's salsa, swings, solo, kitchen boogying, doesn't matter. Moving
to music rewires stress responses, lifts moods, and fosters resilience.

(39:44):
As the researchers suggests, dance's unique integration of mind, body,
and cultural elements makes it particularly effective against or for
stress management. So the next time you are feeling stress,
when it strikes, when you're feeling anxious and all been

(40:05):
out of shape and depressed, and you're thinking, where's my
psych drug? Or do I need to go to the gym?
Or kick the dog? Don't do that ever, by the way,
Just go and get some dance somewhere, maybe a karaoke place,
or just turn up the radio in your own place
and start sweating it out, dancing it out your brain

(40:27):
and your inner joy. Well, thank you, and that is
why it qualified as the Health Mystery of the Week.
Doctor Adam Brockman, thank you for joining us. We'll talk
to you next week. Ladies and gentlemen. Make it a
healthy day and a healthy week. You've been tuned into
