(00:10):
Independent thoughts, independent life. Thisis Chad Benson pander hander hander the best
way to describe yesterday, yet anotherstudent loan forgiveness program, tens of millions
of people's debt was literally about toget canceled. But then some of my

(00:30):
Republican friends and elected officials and specialinterest suitors and the Supreme Court blocked us.
But that didn't pooh mere court,No, I mean it's necessarily we
continue to find alternatives past to reducedstudent get pending. Whoo yeah, that's
right, free money, paby, that's what I'm talking about. Give to
the ranch, take from the port. Wait what yeah, what a pander

(00:55):
in chief. The desperation. Soyou're going to forgive people student loans,
student loans they took out doing theyhave to pay them back. You're going
to forgive that. You're continuing todo this even though you've been to the
Supreme Court and lost. You're notdone yet. You're going to do everything
in your power to forgive and giveand give. My administration will propose a

(01:17):
new rules to cancel up to twentythousand dollars and runaway interest for any bar
But ohays, more now, alwaysmore now than when they started paying the
loan. Yeah, so you're goingto do that. That sounds great.
Never dealing, by the way,we are the kings and queens of never

(01:38):
dealing with the issue. This isone of the people who sued him originally,
Kansas Agkobok talking about the student loans. Yeah, we already have suited
again. It was six states thatwent all the way to the Supreme Court
in round one, and we prevailedin June of twenty twenty three last summer.

(01:59):
And now this is a version twopoint zero of the Biden student loan
forgiveness plan, and it's equally illegal. Congress never authorized this, and of
course today he announced version three pointzero while we're challenging the second version.
But all three are illegal. TheSupreme Court clearly ruled that only Congress can

(02:20):
do this, and there's nothing infederal statute that allows the president to do
the first version. The second oneis equally illegal, and we hope that
the courts will enjoin this fairly quickly. You know, Congress can do this
student for giving. Student loan debtis something people can debate about all day
long, but it takes Congress todo it. An executive agency cannot do
this unilatterate. That's right. Congresscould, but they won't. Like everything

(02:42):
else, Congress will never act becauseeven Democrats out there aren't going to get
behind this. It sounds great becausehe's doing it and my ass isn't on
the line. My ass is onthe line. That's a different story.
That's a different story. He cando it because I know that. But
it's gonna fail. Everybody knows it'sgonna fail. Well, why is it
gonna fail? Because first of all, what are you doing here? This

(03:06):
is the biggest pander. So you'regonna forgive a bunch of debt to people
who've been paying on loans for acertain amount of time. Some of it's
just interest based. It is itis. They're doing everything in their power
based on what Well this is allto do with the election. Let's go

(03:27):
get those young people. Let's tellthem we're gonna pay for their stuff.
We're gonna make it free. Neverdealing with the issue, and that issue
is how damn expensive college is andwhy is it so expensive? Continue,
President Biden, I've three millions ofAmericans from this crushing debt of student debt.
It means they can finally get onwith their lives instead of being put
in their lives being put on hold. While college degree still is a ticket

(03:52):
to the middle class, that ticket'sbecoming much too expensive. Little things from
his in Wisconsin, battleground state, young people turning away from him because of
Israel. So I got away,Hey, how about this free college?
Really, somebody's paying for it,right, somebody's got to pay for it.

(04:15):
It's got to be a transfer ofsome money to somewhere. They were
sold to bill of goods. It'sa reality. Kids were sold to bill
of goods. And while you hada captive audience of customers just coming out
of the woodwork, you could chargethem anything because they live in the moment

(04:35):
and you thought, well, it'dbe good for them. Then the reality
is is micro put it best.I saw that last week, that quote,
and I thought, that's so true. That isn't accomplishment. That's a
receipt on the wall, that degreeat this point in time, that's what
this is. Is geared toward thosewhose loan balance has ballooned because of unpaid

(04:59):
interest, and then those who havebeen repaying their loans for decades but still
have outstanding debt. And the administrationis proposing to cancel up to twenty thousand
dollars in just interest charges. Borrowerswho earn one hundred and twenty thousand dollars
or less, or married couples makingtwo hundred and forty thousand dollars or less,
are eligible for forgiveness of the entireamount that their loan balance has increased

(05:21):
beyond the principle. Again, arewe dealing with the real issue? Are
we dealing with it the way weshould be? Are we asking the questions?
You going, I'm gonna wipe itfree? Is pandering like you could
not believe. Secondly, it's notlegal, it's not constitutional. Congress could

(05:46):
do it. Why isn't Congress Hackney? Because they know it's not gonna work?
Why aren't you? And the minutewe can decide, we can vote
ourself free, goodies, it's overfor the United States. We already have
enough special interest in bs. Butthe minute we could unilaterally decide, you
over here don't have to pay forthis. Everybody else will eat the bill.

(06:11):
It is over for us. AndI go back to this over and
over again. The cost of college, the cost of college AG Kansas,
COBAC, Well, there's definitely aproblem. And I say this as a
parent who's trying to set aside andscrape for money to put into my college

(06:32):
savings accounts of my children five children, and college is extremely expensive and people
can't afford it. But this isnot the solution. Forcing taxpayers that include
people who never went to college, people who couldn't afford to go to college,
people who work their way through college, or people like my family trying
to save money in advance of thekids going to college. We shouldn't have

(06:55):
to pay for those who took outa debt that they're having difficulty repaying years
later. Indeed, you're transferring moneyfrom on average lower intel Americans to higher
intel Americans. That's not the wayto solve the problem. I think the
way to solve the problem is oneof your panelists mentioned just a moment ago,
is you have to look at thecost of college. You don't do
things that inflate the cost of college. You need to start thinking about things

(07:15):
that push down the cost of college. That's that's the core of the problem.
That's it. Go look at howthe administrators in college have grown.
Go look at all of the stuffthat has grown on college campuses. Kids
are going to school for less timethan they were in the seventies, eighties
and even in the nineties, andthey're coming out with more debt. Last

(07:41):
week I asked a bunch of you, hey, send me texts if you
are college graduate and you don't evenwork in the field you study. I
got so many people who said, yeah, you know, I went to
school for music and now I'm ateacher of math. Or another person said,
you know, you know, Iwent to school for history and now

(08:01):
I work in an electronics company. It's it's frustrating as hell. The expense
of college knowledge is amazing. Whatyou do with it is great. I
think too often now with all thesekids, it is an extension of their
childhood. It's what's expected. Andthey're taking out massive loans for degrees that

(08:26):
aren't worth it at this point intime, and it's going to follow them
forever. And the thought of justforgiving those because remember, who's gonna end
up paying for it, lower middleclass is going to cover mostly higher middle
class people's bills. That's very undemocratthree two, three, five, three,

Israel. It's gonna be one ofthe big things obviously we're talking about as
well, abortion, swing and missyesterday day. How did Trump do?
I'll be honest, I think hehad a chance to really quiet things down.

(09:07):
I mean, he's always going tobe controversy on the left over this,
But I don't think he did agreat job. That's just me.
I don't think he did a greatjob in articulating a clear message. I
think he really had a chance hereto kind of put this thing to bed,
and I don't think he did.Talk about that as well. Three

John Stewart's take on it last nightvery interesting. We'll talk about that
Chad Benson Show. You're listening tothe Chad Benson Show. My friend just

(10:41):
went from thirteen sixty to three ninehundred dollars a month. Awesome. I'm
sick. Happy Spring Equinox. HappySpring Equinox to you. Sounds very sad.
TikTok Tuesday sucked rants two damn.I I mean I know that Janet
Yellen is out there saying, look, things have never been better. Everything

(11:03):
is great, houses are rocking.Yes, I'm just wondering if the economy
continues to hold up no matter whathappens. On the fact, I think
we've got a good, strong economy. We've got very strong domestic demand consumers.
You're holding up some low income consumersor perhaps exhausting their buffers of saving
that they build up during the pandemic. We're seeing a little bit more distress

(11:28):
at the household level there, butgenerally households are in very good financial shape
shape. Do you live in reality, lady? I mean, I'm I'm
curious, you know, to talkabout gas lighting America. It's so funny
because all these people who said horriblethings to me, some of them are
nice to ex but you know,DMS things of that nature. We'll talk

(11:52):
about how evil Trump is and blahblah blah blah. We go, you
know, it is what it is, and how great Biden is. And
then when I bring up something likelast week the twenty dollars an hour minimum
wage, they'll all flood my taxand DMS and everything else with people can't
survive, people are struggling. We'llmake up your mind. Is it the
greatest time ever or the worst timeever? Well, according to her,

(12:15):
everything's good. I think it's fantastic. Things are great, plenty of stuff
out there for you to do.I'm trying to apply for jobs right now,
and the thing is, can anyoneexplain to me how I have two
degrees? I have two degrees,oh, and a certificate a little extra,
right, I have a certificate.May not be a master's, but
it's something extra along with the twodegrees. You know. I'm trying to

(12:39):
apply for jobs right now, andthe thing is is that the only person
I have responding to me is aman from a tech company saying, Hey,
you want to answer some customer serviceproblems. You want to answer some
customer service calls? No part.I don't want to answer your calls,
no offense. But I'm a littlemore qualified to be sitting around answering your
customer service calls. Part Okay, lady, beggars can't be choosers. Right.

(13:03):
Bart's offering you something. Maybe it'sa ground floor or an opportunity to
grow. She kept moving her degreesaround. I was trying to like,
what, what exactly? What areyour degrees again? What are I'm trying
to figure it out. Micro saidit best. Those aren't degrees. Those
are receipts. I'm sorry, butthat's but Bart is the only one who's
responding to me. So what amI supposed to do? And you know,
I'm looking down at these and I'mlooking at them and I'm kind of

(13:24):
wondering. I'm like, hmm, what was this war? Agan? Oh,
I don't know. Beats me.You do have two degrees. But
Bart's the only person. They'll callyou back. And you don't like Bart
because you don't want to answer phonecalls. You're looking for the C suite?
Is that? Was that what we'retrying to figure out? Frustration Indeed

(13:46):
three two, three, five, twenty four, twenty three Atchad Benson show
to Twitter your Instagram last night?John Stewart on Israel, what about the
Bedrock rule of international law no takingland by force? When Russian does it,
We're pretty clear own nation, noaggressor is allowed to take a neighbor's
territory by force. Let's see ifAmerica upholds its rule against taking land.

(14:09):
The verbal gymnastics that the American governmentmust undertake so as not to offend the
delicate sensibilities of a country we providemost of the weapons for is Every time
America tells the world that there's somethingwe won't allow. Israel seems to say
challenge accepted. He did make somegood points about Israel. I keep going

(14:31):
back to I don't think this isIsrael. This is a b B issue
at this point in time. Andeverybody got excited because we're they're pulling people
out of Rafa, I mean aroundRafa, they're pulling some of their people
out. They're pulling people out ofcertain parts of Gaza. Why is that
because they're getting ready to go in. Oh, yeah, they're getting ready
to go in. He's already saidthere is a specific date this is gonna

(14:52):
happen. How does the world reactto that, Because let's be honest for
a second about the opt of this. You've lost the war of public opinion,
and in many cases, you werenever going to win the war of
public opinion because everybody looks at youin a certain group of people as colonizers,
etc. But for your allies andfor a bunch of other places and

(15:16):
people out there, you're losing thatpublic opinion war. Over thirty thousand have
died in Gaza since the war started, some of them I am as soldiers.
Thirteen thousand of them children. Ourresponse, we've been urging our Israeli
counterparts to act with as much precisionas they can, and they're targeting our
constant efforts to urge the Israelis tobe as as precise and careful as possible.

(15:37):
More careful and more precise, andwe continue to work with the Israelis
to make sure that they are asprecise as they can be. See,
they're not listening. What are wedoing here? The subtext of all this
is America knows this is wrong, but it apparently doesn't seem to have the
courage to say it in a straightforwardmanner. It does, but it's politics.

(15:58):
Let's not forget that everything that isdone at this moment in time,
in particular Israel US relations, what'sgoing on over there, is done not
based on reality or any of thisstuff. It's based on politics optics.
Can't lose Israel because we'll lose alarge swath of voters. Also can't seem
to really support Israel in the waywe have in the past, because we've

(16:21):
got to get these voters who arealready bouncing on us, try to get
them back. American Israel both knowthat you cannot bomb your way into safety.
We learned that lesson in I Rockand Afghanistan. They learned it in
southern Lebanon. They laid siege there, occupied the southern area for twenty years.
All it did was birth and strengthand hesbola. And they're about to
do it all over again, andwe are letting them real friends take the

(16:41):
keys, because friends don't let friendsbomb that much. He's got a point,
he does. You're not going tobomb your way out of this.
All you're doing is you're killing oneand replacing them with two. Hamas has
won this battle. You're never goingto eliminate them because you're not going to

(17:03):
eliminate this. You're not going toblow away this ideology the way that I
think you think, well, wegot rid of an ideology when it comes
to to the Nazis in Germany. It's a different mindset. It is a
different mindset. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four,
twenty three at Chad Benson Show,it's your Twitter, Well have more

(17:26):
on this Trump abortion swing and amiss or a home run. We'll talk
about that a lot of other stuff. Straight Ahea, Chad Benson Jet Such
Chad Benson Show, Independent Thoughts,Independent life. This is Chad Benson.

(18:03):
I'll have to be honest with you, guys. I thought Trump's abortion take
yesterday a little swing and miss.I felt like it was kind of all
over the place. I think hecould have settled it, which would have
helped Republicans across the board. Ithink he had some message in there that
was good. Not gonna lie toyou, I thought some of it was
good, but I think overall abit of a swing and a miss.

(18:25):
Many people have asked me what myposition is on abortion and abortion rights,
especially since I was proudly the personresponsible for the ending of something that all
legal scholars both sides wanted and infact demanded be ended Roe v. Wade.
They wanted it ended. It mustbe remembered that the Democrats are the

(18:48):
radical ones on this position because theysupport abortion up to and even beyond the
ninth month. The concept of havingan abortion in the later months, and
even execution after birth, and that'sexactly what it is. The baby is
born, the baby is executed afterbirth is unacceptable and almost everyone agrees with

(19:11):
that. Okay, uh. Italked a bit about this yesterday. The
extremes where everybody who's getting an abortionis not somebody who is irresponsible was either
raped incest it's the life of themor you know, which we know is

(19:32):
not true. And on the otherside of it, not every abortion is
the ninth month. Those are theextremes talking. Okay, so you got
that out there, continue, misterTrump. My view is now that we
have abortion where everybody wanted it.From a legal standpoint, the states will
determine by vote or legislation or perhapsboth, and whatever they decide must be

(19:53):
the law of the land. Inthis case, the law of the state.
Many states will be different, manywill have a different number of weeks,
or some will have more conservative thanothers, and that's what they will
be. At the end of theday. This is all about the will
of the people. You must followyour heart or in many cases your religion

(20:15):
or your faith. Okay, allright, that's fine. Now, I
think everybody's looking for what's the number, man, Put a number out there,
give us a signal of where everybody'sgoing. Put a number out there.
And the reason is simple. TheRepublicans are all over the place when
it comes to this. They eitherignore it or they talk around it.

(20:38):
And you've got to be honest.I'm gonna tell you guys this right now,
because I got pushed back. Answerfor pro life people, it's about
winning elections. It's one of thethings he brought up. It's about winning
elections. And I think Trump wantedto have it kind of both ways.
I want to brag about getting ridof overweighed, but then throw it out
there. Everybody wanted this, andthis is a good thing because we want
to have people to have their choicein the States, and it was I

(21:00):
felt like you're trying to do toomuch. It's a pick a path scenario,
and it's get pushed back. Manyon the right outrage that Trump declined
to endorse a national abortion band, his former vice president Mike Pence calling his
announcement a slap in the face tomillions of pro life Americans who voted for
Trump, and close ally Senator LindseyGraham saying he respectfully disagrees. That's fine.

(21:25):
All of those things are fine. One thing Trump got right, though,
you gotta win elections. You haveto win elections, he continues with
his address yesterday about abortion. Now, it's up to the states to do
the right thing. Like Ronald Reagan, I am struggling in favor of exceptions
for rape, incest and life ofthe mother. You must follow your heart

(21:47):
of this issue. But remember youmust also win elections to restore our culture
and in fact, to save ourcountry, which is currently and very sadly,
a nation in decline. Our nationneeds help, it needs unity,
It needs us all to work closelytogether. Democrat, Republican, liberal,
conservative, everyone, we have towork together. We have to bring our

(22:11):
nation back from the brink. Andthat's where it is. It's at the
brink, and we will We willdo it. I promise you we will
do it. Always go by yourheart. But we must win. We
have to win. We are afailing nation, but we can be a
failing nation no longer. We willmake our nation great. We will make

(22:32):
our nation greater than ever before.Thank you very much. So what he
said there at the end I thoughtwas the important bit. And this goes
out to all the pro life people. You gotta win elections, because if
you don't win elections, you don'tget people out there that represent your point
of view. Well, chat,I want them to do all the things
I want. I understand that. But if you lose elections over and over

(22:56):
again, eventually you no longer havea voice in this, and you're just
the voice that's loud and saying weneed to fix this, but you have
no power to actually fix it becauseyou haven't won any elections. And then
that gives the other side if youwill cart blotch to do whatever they want.
I wish you would have come outand said, look, we live
in a divided nation. There's nodoubt about this. And as much as

(23:19):
you know, and again this isme paraphrasing what I would like to have
seen him said, as much asI would like to say that we don't
have to have abortion, there arepeople out there that want to keep it
legal, and I believe it shouldbe you know, just like Clinton.
I think it should be legal.I think it should be safe, and
I think it should be rare andpick a path. I don't think he

(23:44):
did that. But for all thoseout there who said, well, you
know, he failed us, hedidn't do this, especially on the pro
life side of it, you're lookingat it from the lens of one thing,
and it's important. But if youlose every election, what happens at
that point you're a non entity. At that point, you look at the
states Kentucky, Kansas, Wisconsin.Every time it's been Ohio. Every time

(24:11):
it has been remotely remotely a partof an election or a ballot measure,
the pro choice side wins overwhelming. The support for abortion was always there,
and it was growing over the pastdecade. I think since the overturning of
Roe, it has crystallized the issuefor anybody who was on the fence about

(24:33):
it or didn't feel they had youknow, any man perhaps who didn't feel
as connected with it. Now weare seeing the consequences of these rights being
taken away. Fifty years of rightsthat are daughters and sons as families don't
have. And they're brutal, they'revery specific. They're a matter of life

(24:53):
and death. And Donald Trump ison the wrong side of every position that
it exists. Practically on this well, they're full of crap, But how
it started out was absolutely true.I want you to listen to this again.
You look at the states Kentucky,Kansas, Wisconsin, Ohio. He

(25:15):
goes into I'm just saying those arestates here, like there's are Bible Belt
states. Those are conservative states. They have conservative principles in a lot of
places. When it was put toa vote, they decided to keep it
legal. Oh, when it wasput to the people, you have to
win elections. And that's the thingI continue to say. And as frustrated

(25:38):
as the pro life people get, what would you like to have happened?
So you decide, Okay, we'regoing to have a complete ban on abortion.
Okay, So then what happens? Then you lose race after race after

(25:59):
race. Then what happens? Theyput other people in place and they decide
to overturn that band and now you'recoming from way behind. I don't think
he sorted out yesterday. I don'tthink he gave them a message that was
clear. And I understand the frustrationfor a lot of people out there because
I thought to myself, dude, you got to put something out there.

(26:19):
I was expecting him to come outwith something that was going to be like,
hey, check it out, thisis what it is, this is
what I'm looking at, this iswhat needs to be done, and then
everybody would say, all right, that's how we address it. But instead
he tried to please a lot ofpeople, and I don't think he pleased

(26:41):
anybody, and he sure in thehell didn't clear it up. Three two

You've come to the perfect place fortakeout. I wonder what Trump will actually
do if he gets back into office. You don't have to speculate, because
he calls his plan Agenda forty sevenand spoiler alert, it's scary as shit.
Here's some of the worst ideas we'rein store for if he wins in
November one. Attacking immigration, Trump'santi immigration policies will be even worse the
second time around. He's promised toend birthright citizenship, enlist an army to

(28:45):
round up and to print millions ofundocumented immigrants and to play thousands of US
troops to the southern border. Ohmy god, TikTok Tuesday. This person's
gonna explain to us all the evilthat Trump is gonna do. This is
basically evil Trump Tuesday off TikTok ttwo. Criminalizing LGBTQI plus Americans. Trump
seysil ban gender firm care for transkids and prevent schools from helping kids through

(29:07):
their transition. He wants to forbidschools from even teaching anything about sex and
gender that diverges from the Farbright's ideaof the nuclear family. I got zero
problems with banning gender firming care becauseit's not gender firming care. It's mutilation
of a child, an experimentation. That's what it is. If that child
is truly in a situation where theybelieve they're absolutely trapped in the wrong bot,

(29:33):
they'll be trapped at the wrong bodyat eighteen, nineteen twenty when they've
gone through life. Am I right? I think I'm right? The insanity
of it all, kids, Welcometo the world of lunacy. TikTok continue
three. Overhauling Education Agenda forty sevenincludes huge changes to the education system.
He wants to get huge benefits forhomeschooling, to adoptrinique kids with Christian nationalism,

(29:55):
incentivized teachers to carry guns in theirclassrooms, further crack down on a
f of action, and destroy crucialDEI departments at colleges and universities. Got
zero problems with that. And bythe way, the Christian settled down with
the Christian nationalism, we went overit earlier. The the the insanity of
which people push this narrative of ifyou're a Christian, obviously you believe he's

(30:18):
Jesus and you believe he's the SecondComing or whatever, and that it's only
about why stop with that? That'snot I don't know anybody like that.
It's because it's because you run aroundwith a bunch of people that are like
mine. Actually, no, Idon't hang out with many people, but
a vast majority of my friends, and I give mean a vast majority of

(30:41):
my friends are so progressive, areso uber progressive, and some of them
are Christians. And guess what theybelieve the Trump is evil. They don't
like him, but they're not aboutthis Christian nationalism. Be a stop with
that. Homeschooling again. You justthis is what you get on the TikTok.

(31:07):
Though, for weaponizing the government, the scariest part might be Trump's threat
to more or less dismantle the federalgovernment if he gets back in office.
Is going to purge anyone who thepossibly stand up to him and replace them
with Magga loyalists like Stephen Miller. He's going to prosecute in his political enemies
using traditionally independent words like the dujas his own personal weapon, and give
himself unpresident of power over agencies likethe FCC and FTCs are just the things

(31:32):
he wants you to know about.Trump has plenty of regular crazy stuff in
Agenda forty seven to two, likehow he wants to found new freedom cities
across the country and somehow give Americansaccess to flying cars. But there's nothing
finding about Agenda forty seven or thepossibility that he might be president again.
What was up with the flying cars? That was very random? And he's
going to give everybody a flying car? Okay, I have to be honest.

(31:56):
If of all of the things, like if my choice is or flying
cars, I'm going EV's for everybodybecause I do not trust people in the
air. I don't trust you onthe ground, why should I trust you
in the air. That just feelsterrifying. Am I right? It feels
a little like if there is anovel several companies that have a few vehicles

(32:20):
of Okay, that's fine. Ijust don't think we're ready for the Jetsons.
But I love he's gonna weaponize theDJ kind of like the guy that's
in there now. This is whatpeople think about Trump. This is the
fear they have. Jennifer Lewis, actress from the movie or TV show Blackish.
Black people don't want to fight you. We all we want to do
is feed out children mm hmm andbe equal. Honey. Why people are
scared they're becoming a minority. Theworld is brown, and they're gonna do

(32:45):
everything they can to stay in thosegated communities, not pay taxes, and
put those in their places and getthose webs out of this gut country.
We own this bitch. Well, guess what he will not win in because
love is the answer. Oh sowait, what love is the answer?

(33:08):
I didn't even know what the questionwas. This is what people think.
So here's she is. She's astar of Blackish. You've seen her.
She's an amazing actress. And sothis is what you know white people are.
There are some older white people thatare terrified. I'm not gonna light
to you. I know that mostwhite people, just like you know,

(33:28):
oh, black people, just wantto live their life. Most white people
feel the exact same way. Theyjust want to live their life. That's
all they want to do. Youknow what, Americans, they just want
to live their life to be ableto raise their family. They want to
do it in safety. They wantto be able to enjoy their life the
same way that everybody else does. But it's not over because you know Trump,
that's all you gotta say. Assoon as he takes the oath,

(33:52):
he will have generals walk down thesteps of the Capitol. He will take
a hammer and break the glass whatthe constitution is, and he will tear
it up. And I'll face thisand say, now I'm the king,
I'm the fucking world. You willbow down, bitches. He will punish
everybody that didn't vote him. Letme tell y'all, wow, I know

(34:13):
this. I know it because Iknow what mental illness looks like. That
mania is unstopable. This mother isHitler. First of all, let's go
over this again. That's a delusionright there. Okay. I know,
and we've always talked about every timethat he talks. There are some people

(34:34):
out there in the world of theleft, progressive uber insanity, who think
this indeed, mighty tight hand onit. They think that is a Trump
speech right there. He's not AdolfHitler settled down. Every time you say
something like that, first of all, you lose any argument unless you're truly
talking about Adolf Hitler and Nazis. And secondly, and this is very important,

(35:00):
you diminish how evil that person was. Because he wants secure borders,
because he wants to make sure thatwe have actual borders that are secure.
Well, that's it, that's whathe wants. He's going to make himself
king, he's going to make himselfthe chancellor. He's going to do all

(35:21):
the things you throw. That's that, you know. For all the people
out there, you guys have youknow you worship Trump. It's a cult.
I say this over and over again. There is a Trump derangement syndrome
on the other side. That isa cult. It's kind of like people
who turn atheism into a religion. They've done it with Trump three two,

(35:42):
three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty three Atchad Benson Show,
to Twitter, your Instagram, itis TikTok too, so they we'll
have more tiktoks and fun. Moreon Biden's student debt relief slash Can I
buy you your vote? Best wayto describe that? You can't say it,
but that's what he's trying to dowith Talk about that, among other

(36:02):
crazy fun stuff and yes, moreon the eclipse we survived? Did you
check yourself off as safe? Good? Good? Because I was worried for
a second that you want to gointo it. But we are, We're
safe, we are sick. It'sa Chad Benson show. This is the

(36:49):
What the hell is going on inIdaho? You're not seeing this? You
know, the most dangerous person isa white man with a gun. What
about a white man with a gunwho's barely a man and apparently likes isis.
The FBI arrested the man on Saturdaybefore he could carry out his alleged
plan. Authorities say eighteen year oldAlexandra Scott mccurio pledged his allegiance to ISIS,

(37:13):
charging him with trying to provide supportand resources to the terror group.
Mercurio is accused of planning to attackpeople attending churches in Idaho. According to
the charging documents, his attack planinvolved using flame covered weapons, explosives,
knives, a machete, a pipe, and ultimately firearms. Yeah yeah,
eighteen years old? Are you kiddingme? Yeah? Enjoyed ISIS Apparently I

(37:38):
don't know which one isis k Maybewhy now? Why this? It's going
to do it in Cord Lane.Investigators believe mercurio may have been motivated by
the attack last month in Russia, where an ISIS group took responsibility for killing
one hundred and forty four people ata concert hall complex near Moscow. Mccurio
is currently in custody awaiting his initialcourt appearance. He faces a max of

(38:00):
twenty years in federal prison if convicted. At least you don't have to pay
for his college dead man, Yeah, I do wonder right, like,
like what path did you go downto get to that? So you're a
young kid growing up in Idaho andinstead of being radicalized, everybody thinks in

(38:22):
Idaho as just a bunch of militiasrunning around, you know, white supremacy,
et cetera. You choose isis Well, that's a curveball. There was
he inspired. It's fairly common forcopycap crime to occur where would be suspects

(38:44):
see an attack, note that it'ssuccessful, and then they start thinking that
they can pull off something maybe justas successful churches. He's going to go
after churches that you've talked about, using knives, fire, and possibly weapons
if in fact he did launched thathad the possibility of harming a lot of
people. Yeah, you think. Some of the items found in a toolbox,

(39:07):
including metal pipe, handcuffs, foldingsaw headcoverings, to canister of utane
fuel, and a machete. Multiplerifles and handguns were also discovered in the
father's bedroom. Typically, in undercoveroperations, you let a defendant work all
the way up to the moment beforehe actually wants to launch an attack,

(39:30):
and the FBI, apparently through aninformant, actually did that. Did you
entrap him? I watched this thingabout the Hell's Angels the other day.
It was just very fascinating. Butthey tried to entrap this guy who was
running the Ventura chapter on numerous occasions. It was very fascinating to watch how

(39:52):
they were trying to entrap him.It was I don't think they were doing
that with this. I think somebodyprobably just said, hey, this dude
seems like he's getting ready to dosomething here. What the FBI usually does
is place either a source or anundercover agent into the conversation and then that
can build over weeks or months untilthe person starts stating there actually going to

(40:15):
launch an attack. And that's asBrad Garrett there ABC Terrorism and Crime expert,
that's when it gets serious when hesays, all right, this is
what I'm doing it. When hewas actually planning to go to a particular
location, obtain the weapons from hisfather, and then head to presumably a
church or some other location, that'swhen they arrested him. Wow, how

(40:43):
did you get to that point?Fascinates me. It's like cults, they
fascinate me. But the how didyou get to that point where you decided
that you were going to do thisfor ice? Like? What was the
appeal that brought you to isis likewhen I see street gangs and you've got

(41:08):
kids and young men in particular field. They've got nothing going for them,
and they have no homes, brokenfamilies, and there's a group of people
that are going to offer you theopportunity to be part of the family if
you will. I got your back. Those kind of things, Okay,
I mean, you know you feeldesperate. I grew up around it.

(41:31):
It's understandable to a certain extent.Doesn't make it right. But you're a
kid in Quarterline, Idaho, andyou're thinking, yeah, ices seems like
a good play. How did youget to that point? Interesting? Speaking
of crime, I love this montageof crime. So Washington Examiner did a

(41:54):
deep dive. I think the Postmight have done something as well, because
you know, crime doubt. It'sjust it's no A new report from the
FBI shows that there was a thirteenpercent decline in murder fight. What the
data shows, which we've been talkingabout, the fact that crime is going
down in most places, is notregistering with the public. I can safely
walk my dog to the Capitol todayin a way that you couldn't do when

(42:16):
we all got here. It's justa bit of it. Well, apparently
the FBI, a vast majority ofcities and stuff don't send data to the
FBI. So they just kind ofguesstimate, and their guestimation has been wrong
a lot. And let me tellyou which way they guess wrong. Do
they make it too high? Nope? I guess the other direction. What

(42:39):
a shocker, No way, way, who would a thunk? Right?
But it's okay now because you canwalk your dog in DC. Just that
is the dumbest thing I've ever heardof, as far as like the crime

(43:00):
conversation of Buddhagid's. They're saying, you know, before I got here,
you could walk your dog. NowI can. Then you go and look
at DC murders are up, whata nineteen year high and carjackings that is
out of control. So, butit's the thing we've talked about. If

(43:24):
you no longer prosecute crime, ifyou no longer report crime, if you
no longer decide to do anything whenit comes to crime, then in theory,
crime has gone down at least thenumbers you're reporting because you have no
numbers. Look at the incident reports. If cars are being stolen all day,

(43:50):
cars are being broken into all thetime, people are stealing stuff's walking
store just walking out with crap, and you're deciding it's just too much.
We're not gonna go after them. We're not gonna do anything. We're not
gonna do. Then what do youhave, Well, there's no crime.
No, you have anarchy to acertain extent, but there's no numbers.
So you can say in theory, well we don't have any crime. Well,
I think you do. I thinkyou do. Three two, three,

(44:13):
five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three at Chad Bensons Show,
as your Twitter tweeted us text theprogram. One of the things we've
been talking about throughout today, Biden'sgiven you a free college. I will
never stop to deliver student debt reliefand hardworking Americans. And that's only an
interest of the America that we doit. And again it's for the good
of our economy that's growing stronger andstronger, and it is by train millions

(44:36):
of Americans from this crushing debt ofstudent debt. It means they can finally
get on with their lives. Yeah, because those evil Republicans and those ags
from Republican states and that evil courtstopped him from forgiving loans. While he's
figured out another way to do it, and darn it, he's gonna do
it until it gets to the courtand those evil Republican Court members decide to

(44:57):
shoot it down. Pander, pander, pander, that's politics, it's what
you do. Now. You panderas much as possible to get the votes
you want. Then ignore those peopleand we'll find out if this works.
But it's good. I don't thinkthis will get to the courts soon.

(45:20):
I mean, remember, he's alreadylost one. There's another one in the
courts, and this will be thethird one and he can come back and
say was the evil Republicans? Itwas the evil court that did it.
No. Constitutionally, you don't havethe right to do this. Congress can,
but you don't. Three two, three, five, eight, twenty

is being able to pick and choosethe right times, because too often

Some eclipse stuff coming up, abunch of other things. TikTok Tuesday,
Chad Benson Show. You're listening tothe Chad Benson Show. Americans are
so broken they don't even realize it. I always get Americans tell me,

(47:07):
oh, but people in Mexico onlymake twenty dollars a day. You can
get a full meal here for twodollars. The Metro in Mexico City costs
five vessels, which is like twentyfive cents. I can go to the
mark right now, and buy threekilos of mangos for like two dollars.
Yeah, people make less money here, but the cost of living is also
lower. Americans think that everywhere islike the US. It was weird that
he said kilos. I just wantto say, that's ticktok Tuesday listening to

(47:30):
some interesting stuff. Indeed, So, how cheap is it? It's very
cheap to live in Mexico. Nowcheck this out. Let's say you live
in the US and you make threefive hundred dollars a month after taxing.
Okay, I'm too generous. Renttwo thousand, car payment, five hundred,
car insurance, two hundred, healthinsurance, two hundred, phone bill,

(47:51):
one hundred Wi Fi bill, fiftylight bill, one fifty, water
bill, one hundred. What's thepoint of making more money if you don't
get to keep any of it?Who cares if you make four thousand dollars
a month if you don't get tokeep any of it. Sixty percent of
Americans with paycheck to paycheck, andthat includes half of six figure earners.
Yeah, it's absolutely correct about that. So what he's really saying is move

(48:13):
to Mexico and make it expensive forthem to live there. That's what it's
and if you've seen the backlash ofmany retirees, expats, you know whatever
you want to call them, whomoved down to Mexico to retire, or
they decided they want to move toMexico because it's so much cheaper and they

(48:34):
can do their job remotely. Sothey're doing their job remotely. They're making
four or five grand a month,as that guy points out, and it's
costing virtually nothing to live like kingsand queens, maybe a duke and a
duchess here or there. Speaking ofMexico, yesterday was amazing. What are
you talking about yet? The eclipse. It was fun spending time with my

(48:55):
kids doing the fun stuff that wewere doing, running back and forth out
there, playing pickle ball way toomuch, I might add, it's never
too much pickaball, and I putmy glasses on. I play for like
ten fifteen minutes because I have amachine shoots the ball at me, and
I put my glasses on and lookup and kids and I running in out
of the house and we're watching iton. We watched NASA, and I
love it too because I always bringthat person out that you know, it's

(49:15):
like, hey, Ruth is inthe corner. It's time for her to
come on out. Ruth, comeson out. I haven't seen the sun
or the moon in five years. You know, it's got the bad haircut.
So excited, but watching people andlistening to people talk about what was
going on. But the thing was, it was it was a shared experience.

(49:36):
Was watching this guy and he's like, my mom's in Mexico and she's
going through this right now. She'ssharing this and I'm gonna have it a
little bit and we're all sharing ittogether. And it was awesome. Did
you want And I was trying toexplain this yesterday to a couple of people
that watching this take place, herealized we're all just human beings. Does
want everybody to understand that people inMexico are enjoying the same thing that we're

(49:59):
in. They're having parties, thefood maybe's a little bit better, they're
enjoying They're doing the same thing withtheir kids out there having fun and celebrating
it. And it was it wasgreat to watch. I mean, this
is this is amazing. I mean, this is everything. It's it's science,
it's beautiful, it's all the peoplecoming together. I mean it's incredible

(50:22):
and it was it was so neatto watch. I was, I was,
you know, loving every second ofit with my kids, sharing that
moment with with Charlie, you know, and she's just like, so,
Dad, do I have to wearthese glasses? I've explained to her why
you have to wear the glasses becausethere was a lot of commercials and PSA
is out there telling everybody not tolook up until there's totality, and then

(50:45):
coming back in and watching it,you know, on the screen when it
would get because we only got tolike seventy percent here, it was it
was just it was awesome. AndCharlie's like, well, so what's going
on? Why does it look likea toenail? Right? And I said,
well, you know, explain itto what was happened, and she
was just fascinated. I'm feeling reallygrateful and I was a little teary and

(51:07):
very excited. And now I justfeel, like I said, connects it
and just really happy. Age.Yeah, it's great, really happy,
fun, enjoyable. We all sharedthe moment together. Whether you're in Indianapolis,
they said the other day, you'rein Mexico, or you're in Maine.
You were sharing this together. Mostof the science that are astronauts to

(51:27):
do in space is in microgravity, but we also take pictures of the Earth,
and so they're all set up totake pictures of this mysterious moon shadow
racing across the United States. Yeah, that was awesome And if you see
something cool, you can go tomy Twitter at Chad Benson show. From
the start from one of the Starlinksatellites, it had the eclipse, so

(51:52):
elon must Starlink satellite and it justlooks so so cool. Size of the
Moon in our sky is just enoughto block out most of the Sun except
its atmosphere called the corona. Sowe're really going to be focused on that
because that's where solar wind starts. It affects communications and brings the northern lights

(52:13):
to us here on Earth. Nerds, but we love nerds, don't we
little girls excited? I think what'scool is that it's going to go dark
in the middle of the day. That's what Charlie, because you saw it
get dark, hair kind of andit kind of wind picked up. It
got cool and she was watching whyis it dark there? It was just
it was great. It was great. Then you had the view that's so

(52:35):
great. Even we've got a solareclipse. We've got here. And then
also I learned that the soicatas arecoming. Cicadas, cicadas for the first
time. This is what I read, two different times, different kinds of
different times. Times are coming forthe first time in many many years.
Every seventeen years this happens. Well, that's not what I read. But

(52:57):
maybe you know, make you knowbetter. But in a way, say
all those all those things together, what maybe lead want to believe that you
know, either climate change exists?Wait, what so the solar eclipse is
climate change? I'm trying to get. First of all, you said picadas
like John Soicattas. There's a littlebugs that come out saying like John Scatta's

(53:17):
no nokadus uh. But now we'reon the climate change. You know,
either climate change exists, that orsomething is has quite some not at the
mercy of climate change. It'sround. They can think that it happens on the
eclipse. They've known about the eclipsecoming, because eclipses happened. All these
folks who are saying, you know, it's a sign from God. God

(53:39):
doesn't give you warning. Okay, you think he gave people at the Tower
or Babbel warning, Oh, I'mabout to Jackie all up. No,
it's pretty scary when Whoopy is thevoice of reason on that show. But
she is all too often. Imight not agree with her politics, but
every once in a while she livesin the world of reality. Three two

(53:59):
three, twenty four to twenty threeAt Chad Benson Show, is your Twitter,
It's Jed Betson show such Chad BensonShow, Independent Thoughts, Independent life,

(54:34):
This is Chad Benson. The Southernborder will be an issue in November.
How big will it be? Idon't know. Let's just say Biden
wins. Does my orcus stand thetest of time? The articles of impeachment
against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Majorcis areexpected to be transmitted to the Senate on
Wednesday. Jurors are planned to besworn in the next day, but the

(54:55):
proceedings are expected to quickly fizzle inthe Democratic led Senate. The Republican controlled
House voted to impeach in February, accusing Majorcis of being responsible for the crisis
at the border. Senate majority leaderChuck Schumer has said House Republicans failed to
present any evidence resembling an impeachable offense. I don't think. Look, he's
done a horrible job, but canI blame everything on him? No.

(55:19):
He gets his marching orders from thePresident and the administration. He's just carrying
out what the President said, Hey, go do this. This is how
I want you to approach this. This is how I want you to do
these things. And they continue toblow smoke. Listen to this, this
is KJP, it's green, Janpierre. The president has taken so many actions

(55:42):
over the last three years before andhe started off putting forth his own,
his own proposal, comprehensive immigration proposal, first day, first day that he
walked in, the first piece oflegislation that he wanted to move. And
three and a half three years, more than three years, Republicans got in
the way at every turn, everyturn that got in the way of getting

(56:02):
things done, every turn, everytwist, every this, every that it
is, Oh my god, doesit matter? No? Ninety four times
he did what went and undid whatTrump did, went and undid it ninety
four time. And now what doyou have? You have cities who are

(56:25):
frustrated, blue cities overrun with peoplepissed off, angry watching their money disappear,
if you will not programs for citizensand residents of the city, programs
for people that have come here andabused the system. I do not blame

(56:45):
people for coming here. And here'ssomething I want to point out. And
this is often missed because the leftis always about it's racism. It's racism,
it's racism, that's all they knowhow to do. For whatever reason,
there's a cohort of the American people, and I don't I can't psychoanalyze
them entirely, but I've kind ofbelieved part of that is that he does

(57:08):
appeal to their fears, to theiranger, to their sense that somehow they've
been wrong, and rather than dealwith the core inequities in our system,
he finds the villain. And thevillain happens to be people who don't look
like his base, who speak withan accent, who come from somewhere else.

(57:30):
It's always about that, Oh,it's evil, Yes, are evil
and bad. I found the baseand the bass for I hate white supremacy.
Bah. If you want to bepissed at somebody, don't be pissed
at people. Look people coming hereillegally that want to commit crimes, be
pissed. People who are here doingand committing crimes be pissed. But this

(57:51):
problem, the most angry he shouldhave is at the administration and their failure
to do something at all. Andthen the the continual spinning in circles hearing
questions and answers like this, ourbuddy John Kennedy and my articas. Mister
Secretary, our southern border is notsecure, is it? Senator? I

(58:15):
have spoken about this. I believeI've addressed this earlier in the hearing.
Why don't you us again? Numberone? When I speak of the security
of the border, I am speakingof maximizing the resources we have to deliver
the most effective results. We aresecure because we're trying to secure it.
Are we succeeding? We are sofocused on the security of our southern border.

(58:37):
We are doing so much. You'renot succeeds Surge. No, you're
not. You're not succeeding. Wasnever set up. Remember Biden, his
goal was to get everybody citizenship,a pathway to citizenship. He said that
in the debates. Within the firstone hundred days he went and he undid
ninety four things and an executive orderthat he threw out there within the first

(59:02):
what month or two of being president. When it came to immigration, you
want to be pissed, be pissedat the administration. Under the Biden administration,
we have the most encounters. Wehave had the most encounters with people
attempting to come into our country illegallyin the history of ever. We have

(59:22):
had the most people entering our countryillegally in the history of ever. Under
the Biden administration, we have hadthe most guide a ways at our southern
border in the history of ever.Did you just parachute in from another's planet,
mister secretary, because you're the onlyperson in the Milky Way who believes

(59:43):
that we're not having massive, massiveillegal immigration into America. I don't think
he came in from a different Idon't wait what, I don't think that
happened. Know what's going on yetI can only be mad at my orcis
for so long. You can bepissed at the way he's handling it.

(01:00:07):
Totally understandable, But the marching orderscome from somewhere. He didn't unilaterally say
I'm going to handle like this regardlessof what the administration says. No,
they give him the orders, andhe goes out and does it. I
understand your answer that you're trying, but I'm not asking about your efforts.
I'm asking about the results. Well, let's talk about the results then,

(01:00:30):
Senator. Do you know that lastyear we expelled and removed approximately one point
four million people from the southern border. I believe that's the most ever.
Do you realize that we are focusedon enforcing our laws to achieve the security
of the southern border. I knowyou're focused, mister secretary, but you're

(01:00:50):
not succeeding. No, because it'snot set up for him to succeed for
whatever reason. I mean, youcould sit here, we can pontificate about,
well, they want the systems tocollapse, they want this, they
want that. We can sit hereand talk about that all day. But

(01:01:12):
it is the administration's fault. Thereis an issue there, and while my
Orcus is the bag man and we'llpay the ultimate price, the reality is
he only takes his orders really fromone person, and those marching orders,

(01:01:32):
for whatever reason, are let themgo, Let them go. Three two,
three, five, three, eight, twenty four, twenty three at
Chad Benson Show, to Twitter, your Instagram, A lot of you are
mad at me about the stance I'mtaking on the Trump with the abortion four

(01:01:54):
and a half minute video yesterday thatI just thought didn't really land the way
it could have. And they're like, Chad, you need to pick a
side. Look, you could bepro life all day long. You've been
pro choice all day long. Here'sthe reality. We live in a society
where there's going to have to begive and take, and because of that,

(01:02:17):
you're not going to get everything youwant. And if your goal is
to get everything you want and givenothing, eventually you'll get nothing. And
you could stand there, go Igot nothing, and then watch all of
the things you worked for eventually fadeaway. People are saying, Chad,

(01:02:40):
you should be one hundred percent prolife. I can be that way,
but I can also look out thereand say you need to win elections,
and you're losing elections. And thisis where I think Trump failed yesterday in
coming out with a decisive message forthe Republicans to what to follow, to

(01:03:01):
give them a blueprint for what iscoming up in the selection, because they're
gonna work so damn hard, evenin states where it is legal to either
codify it by putting in the stateConstitution or making sure it gets on the
ballot everywhere. And the reason issimple. If they can do that,

(01:03:27):
they think we're going to get peopleto come out here that may otherwise not
be thrilled by Biden, but they'regoing to come out and vote. And
we've got a chance. We've gota chance at that point of bringing some
people out that would normally stay athome, because let's be real, the
younger people in particular, there's abig issue for them. And Trump I

(01:03:49):
just didn't think he hit it outof the park. Lay the message.
You're supposed to be the head ofthe party. Lay that message out there,
give them a blueprint. I don'tthink he did. You could have
put this thing to bed. Talkabout the fact that a vast majority of
Americans don't want abortion after fifteen weeksand those numbers are very clear. Talk

(01:04:15):
about those things. And instead itwas trying to have your cake and eat
it too. Three two, three, five, eight, twenty four to
twenty three. You can text me, tweet at me as well, or

(01:05:54):
You're dying for this answer because youthink it's a big gotcha moment.
It's not A woman is anyone who'ssays she's a woman. Tut da woman
is a gender construct, which meansit's something that we create, we idealize
in our heads. Show. Anyonewho believes that they are a woman is
a woman. Tut da ta da, TikTok Tuesday. If you believe you're

(01:06:19):
a woman, you are a woman, period case close, end of story.
And if you're a woman assigned atbirth, who thinks I'm a woman?
Because well I was assigned this atbirth. Dumbest thing in the world.
Uh. And you have a troublewith the woman in your locker room
that has a penis, that's ayou problem. It's not a big gotcha

(01:06:42):
moment, dude, it's not atall. Anyone who believes they're a man
is a man as well. SoI know you think this was going to
be a big haha. I gother. Tutta, I support trans women,
I support trans men, I supportwomen, Tuda I said boat delusions,
dudda TikTok Tuesday. So people onTikTok are always asking about your skin.

(01:07:08):
Yeah, what's your skincare routine? That's long and you can find it
on TikTok. Somebody said, liketwenty two twenty one steps. If we've
got time, Usually it's about ten. I do exfolio. Remember twice three
times a week. Face wash,I't on the tonner, put on a
Sarah. I'll put on a moistriiser. I'll put on a SPF.
Oh my god. Yeah. IfI'm not a poor or pimple insight,

(01:07:28):
no, my goodness me, thatseems like a lot of work. You
know. I'm back to trying toget fit. And my son and I
were talking about this the other daybecause he's he's into wrestling. That's what
he's doing right now. He playshockey but off season so he's he's wrestling
and and he loves MMA and he'slike a dad, I want to try
that. And we were lifting weights. We saw some other guy because we

(01:07:49):
played pickle ball the other day.It was this guy that was just massive
at the gym, just like youknow, and I just looked at him.
I said, man, that justsaid, you know what's tough about
that? He's like, what,I'm all, that's the upkeep. That's
the amount of stuff you have todo for the upkeep. Just feels like
a lot. Same thing with theskin. I want my skin to look

(01:08:11):
nice. I'll tag a shower.I think genetics plays a huge role in
it. But twenty two steps fora skin routine hard pass. Hey,
Mitch, by the way, youknow, Mitch McConnell is and is,
along with everybody else, a littleworried about the TikTok sending. MINORITI leader
Mitch McConnell says regulating TikTok is notabout regulating free speech, but rather a
company's conduct, and I'll support commonsense bipartisan steps take one of Beijing's favorite

(01:08:35):
tools of coercion and esrionage off thetable. The build is separate TikTok from
its owner. Bite Dance has alreadypassed the House. Not clear if or
when it will go up for avote in the Senate. We'll figure it
out. I don't know if it'sever going to see the floor. And
partially because TikTok has such influence notonly with young voters, and which scared

(01:08:57):
a lot of congress people, butalso with the money they throw at many
of these congress people. So whetherit ever sees the light of day,
at least anytime soon, I don'tknow. Last night we ended college basketball.
It is a Yukon col nation, the Husky's march history. Back to
back national champions back to back nationalchampions. I was reminded that last year

(01:09:29):
South Carolina's women's team didn't win it. I thought they did, they didn't
win it, and which is,you know whatever, for whatever it's worth,
Thank you Lourie. A good friendout there who listens pointed that out
and that. But one of thethings that again I go back to this,
you know, we talk about awoman as a woman, and this,
that and the other. Caitlin Clarkis a perfect example of somebody who

(01:09:51):
people are using her. They're usingher, especially people out there on the
left, to push some sort ofnarrative that she could play in the NBA.
She's just as good as a manat saturate, so she can't and
she doesn't need to. She elevatedthe sports without having to have these wacky

(01:10:13):
conversations about she's gonna go to theNBA draft. She's gonna do this.
She didn't have to do that.P with the touch sex perfection in the
ratings as well. South Carolina's NCAATournament title win over Caitlin Clark's Iowa Hawkins
was the most watched game ever inwomen's college basketball history, an audience of
eighteen point seven million viewers on average, speaking at twenty four million viewers according

(01:10:35):
to Nielsen. That's the most watchedbasketball game of any level, including the
NBA, in five years, andit was the second most watched women's non
Olympic sporting event in the US afterthe twenty fifteen Women's World Cup final between
the US and Japan. That's awesome, and she'll go to the WNBA,
And the reality is we probably won'thear much from her because the WNBA is

(01:10:59):
not a good product. It's justnot the one thing college basketball has is
tradition, a lot of things goingfor it that the WNBA is just never
going to have because it is asubpar product. That's kind of the truth.
It's got a small niche audience.People can get behind their schools.

(01:11:20):
Right if you went to Purdue lastnight, regardless of whether or not you
like college basketball, you're pulling forPurdue, you're pulling for the Big Ten.
Whatever it is. It's just notgonna happen that way. It is
three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty three
at Chad Benson's show, is yourTwitter tweet at as text to program.

(01:11:41):
My assumption is she'll be on theOlympic team because they're going to be at
the Olympics, the US women, which will be this year. Did you
see the yesterday? Because the runup to the Olympics, if you've never
been through one, and I wasfortunate enough to be a you know,
like to as a kid growing upin Los Angeles in the eighty four Games

(01:12:02):
were huge, and the the yearor two before the run up to the
Olympics, all of the stuff thatwas going on as we welcome the world,
et cetera. It was very interestingbecause yesterday they had like this diver
in France. It was gonna dothis thing off the springboard. Maybe a
crap fell on his ascid into thepool. I'm like, if this is

(01:12:25):
the way this thing goes, itis not going to be a good start
for the Olympics. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty
four, twenty three at Chad Benson, Shell to Twitter, your Instagram,
all of the other stuff. Moreon Biden's student debt, relief, your
little what's trending coming up? Iwonder what were the number one trending thing
yesterday? Anybody give you a hint? It was in the sky. It's

(01:12:47):
a Chad Benson show. This isthe Chad Benson Show, Independent Thoughts,

(01:13:16):
Independent life. This is Chad Benson. The eclipse was amazing, had a
lot of fun. So did alot of people around the globe. You
know, I could sit here andtalk about it, or we can turn
to our good friends the Great Queenled by Freddie Murphy Rip and have a
flashback, a look back at allthat was the eclipse yesterday. It was

(01:13:45):
really cool, like it was likenighttime for like a while. On one
sol One cried, one, God, o God, what should be?

(01:14:06):
It's hard to express the emotions thatyou feel when you see something like this
and knowing that your mom saw firstdown in Mexico. The whole totality people
who are going to see it andknow that we're all together like this something
I will never ever forget. Imean, this is this is amazing.
I mean this is everything it's it'sscience, it's beautiful, it's all the

(01:14:30):
people coming together. I mean,it's incredible. I'm very excited. I
think we're all really excited just tobe in the line of totality. It's
a very slim line, so we'rereally lucky to be right in the middle
of it. Basically weird, I'msad. Imagine. Most of the science

(01:14:58):
that are astronaut to do in spaceis microgravity, but we also take pictures
of the Earth, and so they'reall set up to take pictures of this
mysterious moon shadow racing across the UnitedStates. Any I mean, I like
it. I mean, this isobviously like it's like a lot darker he'd

(01:15:19):
in Nashville. But she just thelook on her face was was chriceless.
So it was a perfect conclusion toour new lives. I mean, the
Sun and the Moon and the Earthhave become one, and so have we
had. That's amazing, amazingly beautiful, once in a lifetime beautiful. Yes.

(01:15:40):
Indeed, yesterday some sounds from aroundthe country and the world said yesterday
awesome was Maine in Mexico. Youguys are sharing the same thing. Long
Beach, California. Long beach andsharing the same thing. It was just
it was fun and my kids andI were out back. We had our
glasses on. Just a great timeyesterday and now it's gone. No word

(01:16:01):
on the animals, No word onwhat they did, although I did see,
you know, like for me,I've got animals, and I've got
some exotic animals. They did nothing. My giant tortoise did squadosh. He
didn't even come out till later.I got other things going on. So
my big lizards, I didn't doanything. This is gonna be great.
I think he needed to have agiraffe or something. I saw that at

(01:16:24):
Dallas Zoo they had a giraffe wasrunning around crazy and the mccaus were quiet.
Three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty four,
twenty three. It was magic.Did you watch it? Let me know,
love hearing from every single one ofyou. Hey, did you guys
hear if you've got student loans,Biden's gonna do everything to buy your vote.

(01:16:44):
I mean, I mean to giveyou some relief. Tens of millions
of people's debt was literally about toget canceled. But then some of my
Republican friends and elected officials and specialinterest suitors, and the Supreme Court blocked
us. But that didn't well, that didn't stop us evil. No,
I mean it sincesarily. We continueto find alternatives past to reduce student debt

(01:17:04):
panties. Whoooooooooooo. So you're gonnajust forgive debt right unilaterally, just just
gonna just be done with it.There you go. V. P.
Harris. She had something to sayabout it. Her loans will be completely
forgiven regardless of your income and evenif you did not graduate. So I'm

(01:17:26):
going to repeat that. If you'vepaid undergraduate loans for more than twenty years
or graduate loans for more than twentyfive years, those loans will be completely
forgiven, regardless of your income, and even if you did not graduate.
Okay, shouldn't be forced to graduate? Not very dies yet? So is
that how it is? I justwant to listen again. The loans will

(01:17:48):
be completely forgiven, regardless of yourincome and even if you did not graduate.
Okay, that's it. That's whatshe says. How does it work
borrowers who earn one hundred and twentythousand dollars or less, or married couples
making two hundred and forty thousand dollarsor less are eligible for forgiveness of the
entire amount that their loan balance hasincreased beyond the principle. I know that

(01:18:10):
sounds confusing, but in essence,it's all of the interests that you've accrued
on that loan would be wiped out. Also, if you have been repaying
an undergraduate loan for twenty years ormore, the entire loan would be forgiven.
And if you've been repaying a graduateloan for twenty five years or more,
that would be forgiven. Okay, lots of forgiving going on pandering to

(01:18:32):
say the least, The White Housesays they believe they are on much more
firm legal grounds than what they didlast year, which was a far more
sweeping attempt to help people with studentdebt relief that of course, was struck
down by the Supreme Court. Theauthority here comes under the Higher Education Act.
Now there will still likely be legalchallenges on this, which means that

(01:18:54):
that could get held up in court. Right when the administration wants to see
this start getting some political mileage.Yeah, they would love that political mileage.
We need it. We need it, and those evil Republicans and those
evil evil court folk Scotis are goingto destroy this too. Chris Kobak.
So, Chris Kobak is the agfor Kansas. He's one who brought the

(01:19:15):
first two. There's two. Rememberthe first one's already been there, done
that dust had done. There's asecond one and now a third. Yeah,
we already have sued again. Itwas six states that went all the
way to the Supreme Court in roundone, and we prevailed in June of
twenty twenty three last summer. Andnow this is a version two point zero
of the Biden student loan Forgiveness plan, and it's equally illegal. Congress never

(01:19:41):
authorized this, and of course todayhe announced version three point zero while we're
challenging the second version. But allthree are illegal. The Supreme Court clearly
ruled that only Congress can do this, and there's nothing in federal statute that
allows the president to do the firstversion. The second one is equally illegal,
and we hope that the courts willenjoin this fairly quickly. You know,

(01:20:03):
Congress can do this student forgiving studentlong debt is something people can debate
about all day long, but ittakes Congress to do it. An executive
agency cannot do this unilatery. Hey, ge Kansas, right there, Chris
Cobac. You heard what he saidthere at the end, Congress can do
it. Why hasn't Congress then ifthis is that important, because there are
too many people who don't have thepolitical cover to get it done. They'll

(01:20:27):
talk a good game, but they'lllook at their constituents and say, no,
no, I can't. And I'mtalking about people on the left,
And is this just the biggest panor talk about buying an election as best
as you possibly can. We're goingto forgive your debt. What's next?
Hey, you guys don't have tomake car payments. The administration obviously hopes

(01:20:47):
that this would come through before theNovember elections. In fact, they would
hope it would come very shortly before, so the voters will have fresh in
their mind the fact that President Bidenrelieved their student loan debt. And in
fact, I was just talking toseveral voters who say that this is one
of the top issues when it comesto who they support for president. What

(01:21:09):
one of the top issues is who'sgoing to give me the most stuff?
Well, what's the stop President Trump, former President Trump hoping to be president
again, going out there and saying, hey, if you vote for me,
I'll get rid of this loan orthat loan or this. See,
that's why you can't have things likethis. That's why you need Congress's approval

(01:21:30):
for things like this. This issomething that they believe is really going to
resonate with young people who are comingout of college, who have all of
that student loan debt, and especiallyat a time when a lot of his
supporters, these young progressive voters arevery frustrated with his administration over his handling
of the war in the Middle East. So they're really hoping that student loans
is something that's going to resonate withthem, something that is going to stick

(01:21:51):
with them when they go to theballot boxes in November. Oh okay,
so that's it. Hey, guys, I know the whole thing with Israel.
It's pissing you off. But hey, stick with me. I'll make
your debts go away. Nanny, you like me, now, don't you?
Don't you? Yeah? You do? Oh jeez? Three two three,

(01:22:15):

other stuff coming up. Roughgreensruff greensdot com, slash heed. You guys

Benson Show. No, it's timeto find out what's trending. What's trending

(01:24:17):
Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Serena, what trupping?
Let's find out what's trending on theold interwebs. I'm gonna give you guys
a guess as to what's the numberone trending thing in the last twenty four

(01:24:40):
hours. Anyone, anyone? No, it's not Trump in his abortion schibober.
No. No, it wasn't Yukonand their win last night. Those
are all things that are very verymuch trending. It wasn't WrestleMania. There
was something that happened in the sky. No, it wasn't boeing. It

(01:25:02):
was the eclipse, number one trendingthing. Geez really yeah, some other
things trending. Morgan walland charged withreckless endangerment on Broadway. On broad apparently
you threw a chair out of asixth story. I don't it was a
hotel. That's not good. ChampionsLeague today, and then you've got the

(01:25:29):
eclipse in fifty different ways? CanI take a picture? What are the
cities? It was so much fun. So yesterday, if you guys didn't
hear, we talked about it earlier. So we Charlie and I and my
wife and her older sister. Wewere out back for a vast majority of

(01:25:51):
the day just watching it on andoff, and it was fun and watching
the whole thing take place was enjoyable. It was you know, my daughter's
five, She just she had herglasses on. She was just loving every
second of it. Why does itlook like a fingernail? Because we knew
we weren't in totality. It wasso much fun. The Masters for those

(01:26:12):
of you not keeping score, itsMasters week. Who will win the Masters?
You've got t times people are lookingup. You've got you know a
bunch of other you know what's goingto be on the menu. I think
tonight is the is the menu night. So this is where you come out
and you get to find out whatthey're gonna eat for all the past champions.
Jonathan Majors avoids jail time, PurdueUniversity yukon Trump's Eclipse Max scene Max

(01:26:40):
m A X X X I NE. It's kind of a new horror
movie slash Trauma set in the eightiesabout an adult film star wants to go
mainstream. W w E Raw Elton, John head On over to Yahoo,
Donald Trump Men's Final four Masters,NFL Draft, then lots of about your

(01:27:00):
ask Baby, the One and OnlyEclipse ooh, and finally on X Eclipse,
Purdue ukon't Eatie Kentucky Raw after RawNCAA Championships Arkansas. Why are they
trending? First of all, theywere in the path of totality. Secondly,
they got John Calipari yesterday from Kentuckywoo interesting indeed Champions League which will

(01:27:29):
be later on today. You've gotSantana, Iowa. Death to America we
talked about that yesterday. Just insanepeople are chanting death to America here in
America now, I want you guysto soak that up for a second.
Well, it's just a bunch ofmisguided No no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no. Sorry, you

(01:27:50):
don't. You don't get to bemisguided. You don't. It's no longer
the subtleties of America's evil and acolonials, the colonialist and blah blah blah.
This is death to America, deathto Israel. Soak that up for
a second. We don't deserve toexist. Some of you thought that was

(01:28:11):
a parody I played yesterday. Itwas not a parody. It was bad.
Probably talk about that in a littlebit. A lot of other stuff
to get two three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four
to twenty three at Chad Benson showsyou here. Twitter tweeted at US text
the program again. Morgan Wallen introuble. No, last night wasn't a
great night for Morgan Wallen, thechart topping singer arrested Sunday night in Nashville.

(01:28:33):
Please Ay Wallan threw a chair fromthe sixth story rooftop deck of a
bar owned by Eric Church, andit landed just three feet away from a
couple of officers staff members at thebar. Apparently told police Wallen was the
one who chucked the chair and poleasesay there's video of the whole thing as
well. Wallan was charged with felony, reckless endangerment, and disorderly conduct.
He was booked then released. Hislawyer says Wallen is cooperating fully with authorities.

(01:28:57):
Smiled in the picture as well. That's to be very rock and roll
in the very country that does sixStories. That chair hit somebody, that
is massive damage. I mean thatis that that would be massive damage if
a chair hits somebody from six Stories. I don't think people understand that it's
it's good fun and good natured thatyou got away with it and that nobody

(01:29:20):
was hurt. But my god, dude, I wonder if alcohol was involved.
I'm gonna say it was three two, three, five, three eight,
twenty four, twenty three at ChadBenson Show is your Twitter tweet at
his Texas program. A lot ofstuff still to get to today. Squeeze
it all in as best as wepossibly can on this Tuesday, because as

(01:29:41):
we know, it's the day afterthe eclipse and the rapture. All the
stuff didn't happen a lot of peoplewere wondering what, what, what?
Where is it? What? What? What's gonna happen? It was interesting
to watch because I mean I satdown, I got up after my show,
worked out for a two hours, went inside. We watched all the

(01:30:01):
coverage and it was fun to watch, and my daughter was watching it.
She's five, and my stepdaughter waswatching. We had a great time watching
all of it. But the conspiracytheories were running crazy wild and my favorite
thing of all was all of thePSAs that kept telling people don't look at
the sun. Do we need oneof those? I think we do?

(01:30:25):
And that's sad it is. It'sa Chad Benson show. Such Chad Benson
Show, Independent thoughts, independent life. This is Chad Benson. It is

(01:31:09):
a Yukon coordination of Husky's March historyNational champions, back to back national champions,
Yukon Huskies. What. Here's somethingvery interesting. My bracket sucked.
Did was awful? I mean comparativelyto a lot of other people. What

(01:31:30):
did I finish? My rank wasfour million, three hundred and forty one
thousand, nine and seven. Igot eighty three point eight percent. Right,
this is my ESPN bracket. Here'ssomething for you. I picked Yukon
to win it over Purdue. Igot that right. I picked one hundred
and thirty five points. It wasseventy five to sixty. I got that
right. The rest of it notso good, mister Benson. Not so

(01:31:57):
good. Indeed, TikTok two iswonder what Trump will actually do if he
gets back into office. You don'thave to speculate, because he calls his
plan Agenda forty seven and spoiler alert, it's scary as shit. Here's some
of the worst ideas we're in storefor if he wins in November one.
Attacking immigration, Trump's anti immigration policieswill be even worse the second time around.
He's promised to end birthright citizenship, enlist an army to round up and

(01:32:18):
to port millions of undocumented immigrants, and to play thousands of US troops to
the southern border. Wow, tellme more. Two. Criminalizing LGBTQI plus
Americans. Trump's also banned gender frommccare for trans kids and prevent schools from
helping kids through their transition. Hewants to forbid schools from even teaching anything
about sex and gender that diverges fromthe far right's idea of the nuclear family.

(01:32:42):
Okay, so let's unpack that onegender for mcare is a made up
thing. It's not real, allright. It is mutilation of a child,
experimentation of a child, and thereality of the way that schools have

(01:33:02):
gone about hiding thing from parents isa no go. Do I think that's
wrong? One hundred percent? Okay, tell me more. Three. Overhauling
education Agenda forty seven includes huge changesto the education system. He wants to
give huge benefits for homeschooling to joctrinedkids with Christian nationalism, incentivized teachers to
carry guns in their classrooms, furthercrack down on affirmative action, and destroy

(01:33:25):
crucial DEI departments at colleges and universities. Okay, d I's done anyways.
And it's funny how you're fine indoctorate aiding children with this wacky LGBTQ plus
advocacy insanity. But if somebody isat home being homeschooled automatically white Christian nationalists
homeschooling four weaponizing the government. Thescariest part might be Trump's threat to more

(01:33:50):
or less dismantle the federal government ifhe gets back in office. Is going
to purge anyone who possibly stand upto him and replace them with Maggia loyalists
like Stephen Miller. He's going toprosecute in his political enemies using traditionally independent
words like the duj as his ownpersonal weapon, and give himself unprecedented power
over agencies like the FCC and FTCs. Are just the things he wants you

(01:34:12):
to know about. Trump has plentyof regular crazy stuff in Agenda forty seven
to two, like how he wantsto found new freedom cities across the country
and somehow give Americans access to flyingcars. But there's nothing funny about Agenda
forty seven or the possibility that hemight be president again. All right,
I don't want anybody to have accessto flying cars. I just feel like
that's a disaster that should be avoided. We're not good on the ground.

(01:34:33):
I don't think being in the airis going to help us any. Agenda
forty seven great nigh for a band. Now, if you think that craziness
is crazy, this one's even better. Jennifer Lewis is her name. She's
an actress from the television show Blackish. Black people don't want to fight you.
We all we want to do isfeed out children and be equal hone

(01:34:54):
why people are scared they're becoming aminority. The world is brown, and
they're going to do everything they cacan to stay in those gated communities,
not pay taxes, and put those'sin their places and get those wets out
of this gud country. We ownthis, bitch. Well, guess what
you will not win because love isthe answer? Is it? First of

(01:35:15):
all, there's a lot to unpackthere. I have no idea like,
so that's why people want to livein gated communities and not pay taxes.
Okay, love is the answer.I don't even know the question was.
And you know we're putting everybody backon plantations and importing everybody. This gets
even better from Jennifer Lewis from thetelevision show Blackish. As soon as he

(01:35:41):
takes the oath, he will havegenerals walk down the steps of the Capitol.
He will take a hammer and breakthe glass where the Constitution is,
and he will tear it up inour faces and say, now I'm the
king of the fucking world. Youwill bow down, bitches. He will
everybody that didn't in vote him.Let me tell y'all, wow, I

(01:36:02):
know that. Tell me I knowit because I know what mental illness looks
like. That mania is unstopable. This mother is Hitler. Oh see,
you didn't have me, but thenyou really lost me at Hitler. Indeed,
mighty tight. Donald Trump, No, it's not Donald Trump. That's

(01:36:26):
what the left here is when Donaldspeaks so insane? Oh my goodness,
how do we get here? That'swhat's what happens when none of those things
happen. Well, he's gonna weaponizethe the you know, all the stuff
that's been weaponized against him. No, I don't think he is. I
think let me tell you about Trump. Trump is a lot of hyperbole.

(01:36:48):
He's a lot of talk, andthen chaos has created around the talk because
it's fun to argue with him.And yet at the end of the day
he kind of covers very mildlike whenyou think about it, and we're sitting
here talking about this, Well, you've got a president that's trying to give
away money to people as far asforgiving their loans, which is not constitutional.

(01:37:13):
But you're okay with that. OhI see, I see, speaking
of insanity. Last week, Portlanddid something interesting. They said, look,
whatever we're doing, it isn't working. There are people forticating and defecating
in the street. There are drugseverywhere. This experiment of I'm just gonna
let it go, see what happensdidn't work. And about face and Oregon,

(01:37:34):
the Democrat governor just recriminalized hard drugsin the state. The possession of
fentanyl, heroin, and meth weredecriminalized in twenty twenty, and as a
result, the state has seen afour hundred and eighty four percent increase in
opioid related debts. Loretta Guzman isa Portland business owner. She has seen
drug use right outside her shop.I think it is a step in the

(01:37:57):
right direction. It's just a step. Does it go far enough? No,
But you gotta start somewhere, right. I think we've seen this great
experiment everybody talks about. Look atPortugal and a bunch of these other places
decriminalized when the people come here fromdifferent countries. My body came here from
Portugal. He's Danish, but helived in Portugal for a very long time,
and he's like, we do noneof this stuff here in San Francisco.

(01:38:21):
There is none of this crap thatgoes on there. We don't allow
any of this stuff. There isno doing drugs on the streets. There
is none of these things. Noneof this stuff happens. You guys have
allowed this to happen. The headlineis that Oregon has recriminalized drugs, but
when you look at the fine print, a drug use is going to be
a misdemeanor, and it sounds likethey are pushing alternatives to jail time like

(01:38:44):
treatment. So it feels like they'retaking drug use a bit more seriously.
But this doesn't really seem like asweeping change. And if it's not a
sweeping change, then what well, they'll be right back where they are.
I mean, yeah, I cansee the effects of this on a street.
It's with a homeless situation of peopleliving on the sidewalks close to business.
It's affecting small business owners like yourself. Yeah, buddy, doctor King

(01:39:11):
King lasc up there. We've gothim down here in Arizona, and I
was he did my procedure from myeyes amazing. And so I was over
there talking to him when they firstgot down here and we were talking about
this and he's all, yeah, one of my new doctors came outside and
there was a guy sleeping on topof his car. I'm like, well,
that's what you guys have allowed there. It's what you've allowed. You've

(01:39:34):
allowed this insanity to run wild. And while you're making an effort, it
is just an effort. It's astep in the right direction. But like
anything else, it's all about enforcement. Our streets are really flooded, especially
downtown with people who use drugs, and so the police haven't been able to
do very much at all. Andthese people that are they're just like they

(01:39:56):
can't even make a rational decision fortheir self because they're so hot. And
like when we had the freeze, there was like literally people like sleeping on
the ice and that's what they chose. They didn't want to go anywhere else.
They were just right there on thestreets use and dope and they'd get
up and just use. I mean, they were just really out of it.
We say it all the time here. Enabling people to die doesn't make

(01:40:18):
you a good person. That's right. Tough love. Everybody ready for some
tough love. I think we needit. Portland. Time to get tougher.
Step in the right direction, butit's us step three, two,
three, five, three, eight, twenty four to twenty three at Chad
Benson Show. Sure Twitter will wrapit up straight ahead, better help.
What can you do for yourself?Give yourself more time how by making decisions

(01:40:41):
where you say the word no,recharging your social battery. Sometimes we spread
ourselves way too thin because we don'twant to say no. We feel uncomfortable.
Rightly, it feel bad. Ihad to deal with that for years,
because you know, you want todo everything, and then it's like,
oh, the time comes, justsay no. It's the best thing
that you can do for shelf becauseyou don't like people, not because you
don't want to, but because it'sgood for you. Better help can help

to this same spectators enjoying the eclipseand documenting some strange behavior among them.
And you can hear they're totally silentnow, not a peep and no movement.
If you missed totality this time around, your next shot to see the
sun's corona in the US might bea bit of a wait. In August

(01:42:11):
twenty forty four, there will bea total eclipse moving across Montana and the
Dakotas, and the next year,in twenty forty five, another eclipse will
span coast to coast, shadowing fifteenstates. There you go that way,
you can check out what the zooanimals are doing. Some of them weirded
out, some of them didn't.Some of them just got quiet, went
to sleep. I watched my soI've got my big lizards and my tagu

(01:42:34):
He wandered out and kind of tooka look around. My tortoise was nowhere
to be seen. I have agiant tortoise and he was having none of
it. He did come out afterwards, though, and he's like, hey,
I could go for a watermelon anda banana. It's like, okay,
let me see what I can dofor you right there? You enjoy
the eclipse? Was it fun?I thought it was neat? And they

(01:42:55):
said spending time with my family thatwas the most important thing, watching it
and sharing, you know, watchingmy little dog post classes like I hate
these things. I get it.I get it three two, three,
five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson Show.
Is your Twitter? Tweet at histext to program student debt? Obviously to
me a very big deal. Thiswhole thought process of just giving and wiping

(01:43:18):
away debt is just insane. Andyou know you're buying votes, that's all
you're doing. Today of the WhiteHouse announced plans for a new student debt
relief program that you personally worked on, right yeah? Are you one of
the people who will benefit from thisprogram? Now? I don't think I
will be actually going to be oneof the few that doesn't. I'm a

(01:43:40):
member of Congress. I'm a littlebit outside the threshold and bounds. But
if I wasn't, you know, just a few years ago, waitress me
five years ago would have benefited fromit. Ha ha ha. How does
it work? Borrowers who earn onehundred and twenty thousand dollars or less or
married couples making two hundred and fortyfive dollars or less are eligible for forgiveness

(01:44:01):
of the entire amount that their loanbalance has increased beyond the principle. I
know that sounds confusing, but inessence, it's all of the interests that
you've accrued on that loan would bewiped out. Also, if you have
been repaying an undergraduate loan for twentyyears or more, the entire loan would
be forgiven. And if you've beenrepaying a graduate loan for twenty five years

(01:44:23):
or more, that would be forgiven. So there you go, and the
entire amount of interest is wiped out. So but is there going to be
interest tacked on from here on out? That A don't know. We're still
not addressing the issue when it comesto college. We never do. Why
is it so expensive? Why isit so damn expensive? Why is college

(01:44:46):
continuously going up over and over andover again and it's so freaking expensive?
I would love to know what areyou getting out of it? Just out
of curiosity. I'm trying to applyfor jobs right now, and the thing
is, can anyone explain to mehow I have two degrees? I have

(01:45:08):
two degrees. Oh, and acertificate a little extra, right, I
have a certificate. May not bea master's, but it's something extra along
with the two degrees. You know, I'm trying to apply for jobs right
now, and the thing is isthat the only person I have responding to
me is a man from a techcompany saying, Hey, you want to
answer some customer service problems? Youwant to answer some customer service calls.

(01:45:30):
No, Bart, I don't wantto answer your calls. No offense,
but I'm a little more qualified thanjust to be sitting around answering your customer
service calls. Part Okay, okay, Bart, She's better than that.
Bart. I love what Micro said. Those things are degrees. Those are
receipts on the wall. I'm sorry, but that's but Bart is the only

(01:45:50):
one who's responding to me, soshe makes what to do. And you
know, I'm looking down at theseand I'm looking at them and I'm kind
of wondering. I'm like, hmm, what was this war again? Oh?
I don't know. Beats me.Can anybody explain to you why you
have two degrees and no job?No? No, what are you applying
for? Did you get degrees? In things that were useless. That's a

(01:46:15):
that's a very important thing. Right. If you've got your degree in interpretive
dance, probably not a lot ofjobs for you out there. If you
got your degree right in poetry andsomething like that, there's probably not a
lot of gigs out there for you. So if you've got a degree in
engineering, you're probably gonna work atleast until AI takes over. Three two

(01:46:35):
three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three. Let us
know, what do you think?I have to be hundreercent honest as much
as I feel for people who wentout and they, you know, were
sold a bill of goods, youtook out the loan and you did that.
So that's a you problem. Youmay even sold a bill of goods

(01:47:00):
your family, school, the pressureof society to go do this, But
you took out the loan. Andnow, why is it everybody else's responsibility
to pay that thing back? Andwhat about all the people that did pay
it back? Where's there like, hey, let us get you some money
for you paying back your loan?Oh? Yeah, yeah, interesting indeed?

(01:47:24):
Three two three, five, threeeight, twenty four to twenty three
at Chad Benton Show is your Twitter. The eclipse was yesterday. Here's something
interesting information that's stupid and you shouldknow. Now it's time for stupid information.
Stupid information, dazzle your friends.Yesterday was the eclipse. Happens once

(01:47:50):
in a great while, as weknow. How about this? This is
what I found to be super interestingabout Mark Twain. Who's that yet?
Mark Twain came into this world Novemberthirtieth, eighteen thirty five, the same
year Haley's Comet passed within sight ofthe Earth during its seventy six year journey
around the Sun. Twain, whowas a unique figure in his own right,

(01:48:13):
was aware the fact that it foundit and also found it amusing that
this rare cosmic event happened on hisbirthday. In nineteen oh nine. I
came in with Haley's comment. Thisis what he wrote in nineteen nin eight,
So he was born in eighteen thirtyfive, but he wrote this in
nineteen oh nine. I came inwith Haley's comet in eighteen thirty five.
It's coming again next year, andI expect to go out with it.

(01:48:34):
It will be the greatest disappointment ofmy life if I don't go out with
Haley's comment, The Almighty said,no doubt, now here are the two
unaccountable freaks. They came in together, they must go out together. Twain's
wish was granted, passed away Apriltwenty first, nineteen ten, as Haley's

(01:48:55):
comet was passing by Earth. Sillylittle things. You need to know even
though you don't need to know him. You guys, have a blessed rest
of your day. We'll do itagain tomorrow. Happy Tuesday. I'm not
really a fan of Tuesdays. Justgo eat some tacos and relaxed. We're
doing it. Tomorrow is always night, night Jack. This is the Chad
