(00:10):
Independent thoughts, independent life. Thisis Chad Benson. Is it World War
three? Nah? No, it'snot, but there's a fear that it
could escalate. I was playing pickupallenjoying myself last night when I got five
(00:31):
gazillion alerts on my phone and peopletexting me calling me if I Hey,
could you come on tomorrow? Couldyou do this? And I'm like,
what the hell? Oh got her? They attacked, didn't they? They
did last night. Israel did notwait, and the words don't from our
feeble president didn't obviously resonate with Bibie. We know from a US official that
(00:52):
Israel has struck Iran overnight in retaliationapparently for that Iranian attack on Israel would
drones and missiles at the weekend. So it's an incredibly important moment. What
we're hearing on the ground is thatfrom Iranian state media that's the mouthpiece of
the regime in Tehran, is thatthere were explosions around the city of Isfahan
in central Iran. What we can'tsay for sure at the moment what was
(01:15):
the targets of that attack and whatany potential damage was. There was none
by the sounds of it, notlike Iran's going to come out and say
anything. This wasn't an attack likeyou that we know Israel can do.
This was a message we can reachyou. You touched us, at least
(01:38):
tried to We could do the sameto you. And this was really nothing.
Okay, some explosions, nothing crazy. Now it's time for everybody to
lower the level. Right, let'sbring the temperature down in the room for
a bit. Let's all calm thef out. What we can say for
(01:59):
sure, as there were explosions niIsfahan, that city and central Iran,
we know that there is an Iranianmilitary base in that vicinity. We can't
comment at this stage definitively on whatdamaged the strike could of course, we
can't really comment, I think, definitively on what method might have been used
by Israel in that attack. Atthe moment, there are unconfirmed reports that
(02:20):
drones could have been used in thatattack. Drones some a couple of miss
It was nothing major. I mean, yes, you're firing stuff, but
you guys fired three hundred or sothe other day. So let's let's just
take it down a nacha. Right, It's all we're asking, that's it.
We're not asking for anything else.Everybody needs to breathe, and like
(02:42):
I said, calm the f down. I think Iran understands they needed to
act just like Iran needed to intheir mind, they needed to show their
people that they could do something andreact if needed, because they talk a
big game, and so they neededyou show that. Israel wanted to show.
Hey, you guys, you touchedthat you touch you. It appears
(03:05):
at this stage that the Iranian regimeis trying to play this down and the
Israelis are not trying to own it. And therefore, I think both sides
at the moment at least are tryingto de escalate, even though we've had
this pretty incredible series of strikes potentiallyovernight. But remember what the Iranian Foreign
minister said the other day. Ourresponse to the Israeli regime was limited and
(03:28):
stayed within a minimum of frameworks, whereas we could have given a much harsher
response to the Israeli regime. Thisresponse is within the framework of legitimate defense
according to international laws. In casethe Israeli regime takes action against the interests
(03:51):
of Iran, the next response fromUS will be immediate and at a maximum
level. Now they're already playing it. So I think for the moment now,
anything could change. By the timeyou hear this, we could be
embroiled in a massive regional war.Are you sure it's not going to be
World War three? Yeah, I'msure it's not going to I mean,
could it lead to that potentially. There was a lot of people last night.
(04:14):
I got textabists this is this worldWar three? Am I what?
This is significant? But it canbe de escalated and it can be put
back in the box. And that'sreally going to come with the world's superpowers
stepping in and talking to both sides, obviously in the United States with Israel,
Russia with Roan and talking about theneed to contain and de escalate,
contain and de escalate. We areseeing a regional conflict. So everything that
(04:41):
the US was concerned about has happened. That said, I don't want to
be hyperbolic and start talking about WorldWar three. No, I just don't
think at this moment. I thinkboth of them now have done what they
felt they needed to do. Israel'sgoing to get back to doing what it
needs to do in Rafa and theirfight with the Moss. That's that's what
(05:06):
I think now it could be wrong. Watch a lot of military analysts over
the last twelve hours put stuff allover the place. So again, it
only takes you know, one personto overstep something like that and then all
of a sudden, Okay, ButI just feel like Israel knew that Iran
(05:27):
was going to respond, and I'msure there's a lot more back channeling going
on. Iran knew that Israel wasgoing to do something. They didn't attack
the nuclear facilities, which was abig deal. They And what I said
the other day is they're probably goingto fire some missiles off in places that
bases things like that, where there'snot a ton of people, but there
(05:47):
could be some show of force. And that's exactly what you got. Now
it's time for everybody to calm thef down. Clap off, clap off.
James clapp Director James Clappert. Thishas been confirmed by US official to
b and Israeli strike against Iran, but not an attack against nuclear facilities we
(06:10):
know are in that area, perhapsmilitary facilities that are also in that area.
What do you make of it?All of our speculation seems to be
premised on the assumption that both protagonistshere, that is Israel and Iran are
attacking each other in the hopes ofmessaging each other. I think we're rapidly
growing out of that phase, andthat the escalation ladder is going to get
(06:32):
harder and harder to control, andthe messaging phase is perhaps overall. Yeah,
I think you're wrong there, James. I just I don't think it's
going to, you know, atleast escalate the way that I think some
people get excited about. There aresome people out there, the warhawks,
are very excited about this, andsome people out there, you know,
(06:55):
who hate Israel and think this istheir time they come up. And some
people are over the Iranians and thisis their come up. And I think
it was messaging and the message isyou guys can reach us, We can
reach you. So you stay overthere. We'll stay over here. God
I hope so three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four

Meanwhile, in New York, twelvejurors have been selected to determine Donald
Trump's legal fate in his New Yorkhush money case. The jurors, seven
men and five women, include aschool teacher, an investment banker, a
speech therapist, two lawyers, anda salesman. It took the lawyers in
the case just three days to selectthem, whittling down a pool of one
(07:36):
hundred ninety two New Yorkers to twelvejurors and one alternate jurors. Selection is
scheduled to resume tomorrow morning to findfive additional alternaturs who could hear opening statements
in the case as early as Monday. Yeah, and they're gonna need them.
They're going to need them because howmany of them are going to stick
it. You might need to getforty. I would be like, what
(08:00):
do we need? We need fivemore? Let's you know what, let's
get it. Let's get another ten, fifteen, Why do they need ten
or fifteen? Chad twenty thirty extra? Because some are going to make it.
One's already tapped out. One ofthe jurors called up the court to
inform them that she did not knowwhether she could actually be fair and impartial.
(08:22):
She was asked to come to courtthis morning and went before the defense
and went before the District Attorney's officeand answered questions about how she got to
that conclusion. And she said thatshe got calls just yesterday alone from quote,
friends, colleagues, and family, quote questioning my identity as a jur
She continued, I don't believe Ican be fair and unbiased and let the
(08:45):
outside influences not affect me in thecourtroom. This hits at the heart of
the difficulty for these jurors over thecourse of the next six to eight weeks.
Yep, opening arguments should start Monday. I just I mean, when
you sit back a second and realize, Okay, you're gonna end up being
on this thing, the media sortatybeing told, hey, don't do anything
(09:05):
stupid, don't out these people, don't out these jurors. It's already happening,
and it is. It's tough.I mean, this is the we've
never had this before for a presidentof United States, the person who at
least right now, at worst isdead, even with the current president for
the election coming up in a fewmonths, maybe president again is on trial,
(09:28):
and we've never had this, Sositting on that jury is gonna be
tough for a lot of people. And he is a person who evokes emotion
from people, and because of that, finding impartial jurors, unbiased who good
luck with that. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty

It is that time of the week. It's Friday. By that, I
(11:16):
mean we take a look back atthe things that have taken place this week.
The sounds, some of them camewith sights which you can't see because
this is radio, because it isfinally Friday. And he got shot down
in New Guinea and they never foundthe body because it used to be a
(11:37):
lot of cannabis for real, inthat part of New Guinea. I don't
have faith that you'll do this. You guys are all horrible human beings,
and Jesus probably would have killed youhimself. I'm not a honer nor holding
my mid hole. I know howI'll say it. Anybody's burning a hold.
I do my bugging in and doingmy scam. I'm money morning a
(11:58):
hoppy burn. It's fine, fine, my motor. Do you elect people
in the office, they'll fax haveyou, they'll let you die. And
for that reason you I want tocriminalize us with metal detectors we'll see you
at your house. We'll murder you. The sugar baby down the road,
(12:20):
she's sitting ready and robbed in thehogle look at circle Stone. Later on
that we'll be working on doing allthe wrong. If it's fine, fire,
miss Mattel. That was a threatwhat you said at the end,
and so the officers are going toescort you out and take care of that.
(12:41):
How many times we have to sithere and say to your face that
pubty blockers are reversible? Would yousupport the right to an emotion because the
parents dislike the gender of the baby. Yes, I'm not. It's hard.
Body of women is the creator oflife. Let me correct you.
Women bring about life. Men createLifely, Dunner, you can't get up
(13:20):
and say death to America as anAmerican citizen. He's a conservative. Now,
I'm a concerned I had not changed. I always liked America. I'm
thought death to what was bad? What in your view explains the fact that
there still hasn't been legal accountability forDonald Trump, that he is a legal
terrorist, And that's what this isabout. It really is a shame.
(13:43):
And so in the spirit of that, I'm certain that the truth exists for
you, and probably for the personsitting next to you. But this may
not be the same truth. Thisis because the truth of the matter is
very often for many people what happenswhen we merged fox about the world with
our beliefs about the world. Sowe all have different truths. National Progressive
(14:05):
Radio, yes, indeed National ProgressiveRadio. That woman you heard there at
the end of Finally Friday is theCEO of National Progressive Radio, and we're
going to play that sound clip alongwith others. Her life is if you
want to talk about white privilege, she screams of it. And it is
(14:30):
hilarious how absolutely cultish she sounds. It's nuts. I was going to try
to get to it. Yesterday wehad a lot of stuff going on interesting
about yesterday. We had Mishaan, who is a if you didn't miss it,
grab the podcaster, was in thethird hour. He is a Ukrainian,
(14:54):
been on the front lines in Ukraine, telling us a lot of stuff
about Ukraine that maybe people didn't know. Got some pushback from some of you.
I expect that people screaming and yellingand look, Chad, you know
he's wrong. That place is fullof Nazis and I'm like, my god,
it's crazy that people buy into thatstuff. But then you get some
(15:16):
text messages like you know, thanksfor having that guy, and that was
interesting. But one guy sent mea tweet and I'm like, okay,
you know, and I'm gonna readthe tweet because hey, you know,
what the hell, that's who Iam. I don't care if you like
me or don't like me. HashtagUkraine is racist. I save articles.
You let Ukraine dude run roughshot onyou without asking tough questions. You're useless.
(15:39):
So the articles he sent me fromrolling out dot com about white racists
make black students stand on train fourteenhours fleeing Ukraine. I'm like, what
are you talking about? Like,I've never seen this article. I didn't
know that. I should have askedhim question, Hey, how do you
(16:00):
feel about black people? And youcrain like stop looking through the lens of
everybody is mean. Every if youwant to be offended, it is there
for you every day. If youwant to feel like you've been slided,
it's there for you. Every day. A nation's been invaded, their people
(16:22):
are being slaughtered, and here's anarticle of something that you have never seen
before. Because you don't look becauseI don't look, but you do,
and I hold onto articles. Great, So it was I supposed to ask
the guy, had you sent thatarticle to me? Hey, how do
(16:44):
you feel about black people? Justjust crazy? This is the world we
live in people. Three two three, five three eight, twenty four to
twenty three At Chad Benson Show,it's your Twitter, your Instagram, all
the other stuff. Nakedly Progressive Radio, Nashal progressive Radio, whatever you want
to call it. NPR is insane. Ury Berliner pointed that out and for
(17:07):
that he got suspended then eventually resigned. But the lady who runs it,
man, I'll tell you what,She's on a whole new level of insanity.
We'll talk a bit about that, obviously, what's going on in Iran
and Syria and potentially Iraq and obviouslyIsrael as well. Three two three,
five, three eight, twenty fourto twenty three at Chad Benson Show,
(17:29):
to Twitter, your instant, allthe other stuff, It's Chad Benson Show,
Sun, Chad Benson Show. Andin Thoughts, Independent Life, this
(18:03):
is Chad Benson Shame. And nowfrom morning till night in the freezing room,
freezing, everybody is freezing, inthere freezing and this Trump it's cold
in there. Board They won't evenlet me have like a board game or
(18:25):
something. Can I bring him anXbox? How about a game Boy?
It's funny though, listen to thisJoe Scarborough again talking about the trial when
he gets a little side swiped. The fact that this guy has to sit
in a courtroom six seven, eighthours a day. That's not good required
to it just it's something he's neverdone his entire life, Joe. As
(18:48):
we speak, there our hundreds,if not thousands, of illegal aliens scattering
in New York City, demanding freehousing, free healthcare, and free aid.
The city is even providing them freeal on tickets to travel across the
country. Who these people are,no idea what their motives are. Now
that should be on the news, but it's not, because you find your
little feelings towards Trump more newsworthy thanthe national security of the country. So
(19:11):
true, Hey, all these badthings are going on, and you guys
sit here all day and talk aboutDonald Trump. Is there nothing else going
on? I don't know if they'renot a conflict. Well, we're gonna
talk about that in a minute. We're gonna blame Donald Trump as we do
it again. Donald Trump's second gunmanon the grassy knoll, oh Jimminy Cricket.
So the trial starts Monday, we'llsee what happens. People already talking
(19:37):
about the jurors and the media. How is the media going to do in
all of this. They're not inthere, but they're out there and it's
chaos out there. But the judgeis warning the media, hey, hey,
calm the f down. First hesaid to the media, hey,
be careful, please don't report thingsthat you don't need to report. And
second he's actually instructed the media notto name employers of where the prospective jurors
(20:03):
are working, which is we're gonnafight out who they are. And that's
why the jury is the most importantthing at this point in time, because
I don't know if you're going tobe able to have enough, because they're
like, we need five, weneed ted, we need one hundred extra.
This would be the perfect time forAI Robot. What you want on
(20:27):
a jury, honestly, is spock, unbiased, non emotional, only cares
about the facts. That's it.That's who you want on a jury.
Here's the facts. This is whatit is lay it out go from there.
That's who you want. But wedon't have Spock. We have two
(20:52):
lawyers, which is interesting because alot of people are saying, well,
they got two lawyers on there, and those lawyers they may look at this
and say, yeah, you mayhave done some stuff, but the reality
is this case should never have goneforward. You got an engineer on there.
Why is that important? Engineers usuallynot emotional, kind of mathy.
So I think that bodes well forhim, But I still think he's going
(21:15):
to be found guilty, just becauseat this point in time, it's all
about the appeals court, appeals, appeals, appeals. Speaking of non emotion,
we talked earlier this week and lastweek about Urie Berliner, who was
a former NPR editor for twenty fiveyears, and he came out and he
(21:36):
basically just said, look, NPR'slost its way. Okay, it's more
than just lost its way. It'sbecome something that is basically one sided,
with people living inside a bubble. And he, I mean, he tore
him apart, why America's lost itstrust in NPR? And he called out
(21:57):
the CEO, Catherine Mayor. Didn'tcall her out, but kind of mentioned
her kind of name checkers. Somepeople would say, you know, but
in a good way, a niceway. But everybody kind of knew what
he was doing. And why itmatters is because I want you guys to
understand who this lady is, who'srunning our national public radio. This is
(22:18):
a ted talk not done too longago. This is about the words truth
and remember the only truth that mattersis your truth. Hard things the places
where we are prone to disagreement, say politics and religion, Well, as
it turns out, not only doesWikipedia's model work there, it actually works
really well because in our normal lives, these contentious conversations tend to irrupt or
(22:45):
disagreement about what the truth actually is. But the people who write these articles,
they're not focused on the truth. They're focused on something else, which
is the best of what we canknow right now. And after seven years
of working with these brilliant folks,I've come to believe that they are onto
(23:06):
something that perhaps for our most trickydisagreements, seeking the truth and seeking to
convince others of the truth might notbe the right place to start. What
lots of stuff about the truth, but it's not really the right place to
start. It's not and remember everybody, you've got your own truth, and
(23:30):
that's the only truth that matters. In fact, our reverence for the truth
might be a distraction that's getting inthe way of finding common ground and getting
things done. Now, that isnot to say that the truth doesn't exist,
nor is it to say that thetruth isn't important. Clearly, the
(23:51):
search for the truth has led usto do great things, to learn great
things. But I think if Iwere to really ask you to think about
this, one of the things thatwe could all acknowledge is that part of
the reason we have such glorious chroniclesto the human experience in all forms of
culture is because we acknowledge there aremany different truths. And so in the
(24:14):
spirit of that, I'm certain thatthe truth exists for you and probably for
the person sitting next to you,But this may not be the same truth.
This is because the truth of thematter is very often for many people.
What happens when we merge facts aboutthe world with our beliefs about the
world. So we all have differenttruths. They're based on things like where
(24:37):
we come from, how we wereraised, and how other people perceive us.
Wow, why does that matter?Because you've got a lady who is
running NPR who the bias is clear. We've already pointed out all of her
insanity and the stuff she's tweeted aboutTrump and a bunch of other stuff,
and she's very much in the DEIthing, like she lives in it.
(25:00):
And maybe later we'll get to MattTayibe went and looked at her Twitter account
and there is it's just some stuff. You think to yourself, it's got
to be a parody, it can'tbe real, but it's real, some
of the things she's tweeted. ButPeter Bagosian, who is if you guys
don't know who he is, heand a couple of his colleagues, they
(25:23):
wanted to show everybody how absurd collegeis now lunatic it's become. So they
got all these papers printed, likerape culture at dog Park, and they
changed the words in my comp andjust changed a few words here and there,
and they got these things printed, and then they came out and basically
said it was a joke, justto show you the insanity. And of
(25:44):
course, you know, everybody's likegot mad at them, But the reality
is you should have been mad forpublishing these papers because in college. Getting
published is what matters. But thisis what he said about her and the
Ted talk. This is absolutely extraordinary, this clip delivered in a sacarin manner.
It is the most toxic of screeds. It contains the blueprint for the
(26:07):
end of every civilization. I shouldn'tbe laughing because I have kids who are
going to be around and it isscary, you know, with the Orwellian
kind of thing. You know,we're just talking about Spock. You want
Spock on a jury, but youknow what else you want? You want
Spock as a journalist, you wantSpock as a person who is I'm here
(26:32):
to find out the facts. Iwant to know the truth. I'm not
interested in your truth. Right, two plus two is four, gay,
straight, whatever it is, that'sthat's it. Right. So two plus
two is four if you're Muslim,if you're Christian, if you're gay,
if you're straight, if you're nonbinary, it's still four. No,
(26:53):
it's not not based in my worldwhen my truth is it's seven. And
you're like, whoa, Because it'sabout power. That's what you have to
understand with these dei lunacies, andit's my truth that matters. It's about
power. Can I get you tobend your knee to me? That's the
(27:19):
scary thing. Some of the otherthings that people are tweeting is just phenomenal.
Uh. We're gonna get to moreof it later because I just I
find this whole thing fascinating that youhave a what is supposed to be like
the unbiased, the straight down themiddle actual journalism that is our national public

No, she is super talented. And there is nobody bigger on the

planet right now. I know thatfrustrates some people. She is a star,
like you could not believe. Isaid. I was talking the other

And I said, but they recognizethe size of T Swift. You mean
she's fat, No, I meanthey recognize the heights of her fame.
And I said, look, Elvis, the Beatles, Michael Jackson and her.
(31:23):
That's the kind of massive stardom thatshe has. It's it's incredible,
it really really is. Hey,this weekend, you want to go see

because of AI. No, ithasn't. You can go on online now
to YouTube and many other places andsee fan made movie trailers. But this
is different because people bought into thisone about James Bond. It looks like
(32:52):
a genuine Hollywood movie trailer. TheMGM line growls at the beginning, and
then we see the new James BondSuperman star Henry I just want to remind
you that I never miss but wait, why is Bond and Cavell, who
is British, have an American accent? Oh? Because it's all fake AI
generated including Margot Robbie cast is thefilm's fem fatale, Hello James Bond.
(33:13):
The trailer on YouTube with over twoand a half million views, with many
commenters saying they dig the casting choices. The actual identity of the next James
Bond hasn't yet been revealed. No, it hasn't, but there's uh several
people. I don't think it's gonnabe Henry cavill. I don't, but
it's just it's people like, well, it's because of AI, it's not
(33:34):
fan trailers have been around forever, but this one, for whatever reason,
people bought onto it. They're like, oh, that's totally real. It's
crazy. I could make a fantrailer today that would be h you know.
I mean the other day there wasone. And now it's at the
point where this is how good thetrailers are and fan trailers are. I
(34:00):
have to go check and go isthere really a new Friday the thirteenth movie
coming out? Or is there areal one of these movies coming out?
Because that's how good they've become threetwo, three, five, three eight,
twenty four, twenty three at SheadBenson Show. Is your Twitter tweet
at as text to program. Obviously, the biggest story around what we can
say for sure is there were explosionsnear Isfahan, that city and central Iran.
(34:22):
We know that there is an Iranianmilitary base in that vicinity. We
can't comment at this stage definitively onwhat damaged the strike could of course,
we can't really comment, I think, definitively on what method might have been
used by Israel in that attack. At the moment, there are unconfirmed reports
that drones could have been used inthat attack. Drones, missiles Iran Syria,
(34:45):
Lebanon, I mean Iraq. We'veheard there was all kinds of things.
We also heard from Iran saying, nah, nothing happened. Is this
an escalation? Is this something theyknew was going to happen? And Israel
didn't go as far as they easilyof because as this was taking place last
night, is that they're playing picka ball. I got a tournament this
(35:07):
weekend and I started getting alerts onmy phone in between my games. I'm
like, ah, so you know, I go, I go handle the
business. And I'm watching you know, several different reports, and the the
Iranian news, television news and isreporting that there is explosions and there's this,
(35:30):
and there's that, and Israel's attackingand they're foreign Minish just like,
nah, nothing's happening. The sicktime, and I'm like this is it.
Never believe, especially when it comesto strikes in the beginning of something,
anything you hear at the beginning, because it's confusion, it's chaos.
Even by the end of the day. You may be listening to this later
(35:50):
in the day and and it'll havechanged in ten minutes. So the big
question we're going to talk about itnext hour what's next? Was this just
hey, what we we want toshow you? We can touch you just
like you tried to touch us.So let's all get a grip here before
this thing escalates. Or is thisthe beginning of something big? Three two,
(36:10):
three, five, four, twentythree at Chad Benson Show to Twitter
text the program as well, itis the Chad Benson Show. This is
the Chad Benson Show, Independent thoughts, independent life, This is Chad Benson.
(36:51):
White House has come out and saidBiden's uncle was not eaten by cannibals
in Papua New Guinea or Papa OldGuinea or any of the Guineas, not
eaten plane crash. Now they didn'tsay, look, he lied, And
if you've listened to the story ofFolve over the years about it, yesterday
(37:13):
the President of the United States waskind of called out on the carpet because
he made some comments and he's madecomments in the past about this that have
evolved numerous occasions about his family andhis life. We all know that,
but talking about his uncle Bossy orBosi or whatever, who was shot down
and eventually eaten by cannibals and thencome to find out, no, the
(37:37):
Military's like, no, he's playing. He had to ditch it in the
ocean. He had problems and theynever found him. So did not get
eaten by cannibals. Oh geez,oh my god. Three two, three,
five, three, eight, twentyfour to twenty three act she had
Benson, show's your Twitter. Meanwhile, I've never ever thought I this time,
(38:00):
I'm going through a neighborhood or arural town in the West just to
see big signs that have a Trumpsign in the middle, says F Biden
and having a little kid standing withhis middle finger seven years old, eight
years old. Well, I promiseit happens all the time. It's working
(38:22):
now. I the F. Bidenstuff I'm not a fan of. And
by the way, if your kidsout there flipping anybody off, show some
respect. Do you remember that ladythat followed Trump in her bike and she
flipped them off, and you knowshe ended up getting fired from her jobson,
Show some respect for the office. You don't have to like Biden,
okay, you know, but thereality is is to me, show some
(38:49):
respect to the office. And it'sunfortunate that we've gotten to this point that
this is where a politics is ina modern time now, if you go
back and look at ancient time,if you will, a couple hundred years
ago, there were they were brutalwith each other as well. They were
really they said some stuff, didsome stuff, had some stuff printed,
you know about you're a cross dresser, you're you know. It was just
(39:14):
it was. It was not tothe point of the flip off yet and
the f Joe Biden. I don'tthink they had. I don't even know
if they had signs out somebody knockon the door and go, hey,
do you mind if you put aa Lincoln sign in your front yard?
Yes? I do, oh my. But back in the world of reality,
I don't know if you guys areaware of this. Last night,
(39:35):
something happened in the Middle East.I know, shocker, but not a
shocker. This is a neighborhood,as one US official describes it to me,
where if you are punched, youfeel like you have to punch back.
And that's clearly what Israel did.It is not in the exact proportion
to what Iran did on Saturday, but this is the exact kind of response
that Iron has been warning Israel notto do, saying that if Israel did
(39:58):
strike anywhere Iran or any of itsother sites, that the response would be
immediate, it would be harsh.Well is it going to be immediate and
harsh. Here's the thing, Itwas not proportional. So all this stems
from, well, first of all, let's not forget who Iran is largest
date sponsor of terror globally. Weshould make all of these groups the Hesblahs
(40:22):
of the world, and all ofthese other factions of stuff that they have
in Yemen and whatnot, they shouldhave to wear patches of who sponsors them.
And this comes from them killing, you know, hitting the embassy in
Syria and killing a couple of theirgenerals and that's where the food worker AIDS
(40:45):
were killed. And so the responsewas they fired three hundred plus missiles and
drones into Israel. Ninety nine percentof them were shot down by us by
the Iron Dome and Israel. Youknow, you had the sol and the
Jordanians, so there was a lotof people that you know, were a
part of that. This was aresponse to that attack, but it was
(41:07):
not proportional. They didn't hit anyof the stuff that they could have hit.
Let's be real, if they wantto get to Tehran and they want
to unleash how Israel can do that. They wanted to send a message,
and the message is you sent usa message. We sent one back,
and it's not as big. It'snot as big as it was that you
(41:29):
guys tried to send us. Butit's just a message that we heard you
and we want you to hear us. A senior US official telling US that
Israeli missiles have hit at least onesite inside Iran. No reports yet on
casualties or what specifically this site was. Israel has been telegraphing that it will
respond, officials telling me at thetime and place of their choosing, they
(41:51):
did not specify what that response wouldbe like, and of course Iran has
said that if Israel chooses to respond, their Iranian response would be severe and
immediate. Yeah, but they're alreadyplaying it down because nobody is dead.
By the sounds of it. Theydidn't hit any nuclear facilities, which is
a big deal for them, youknow. But they did threaten yesterday that
(42:15):
they're about ready to ramp up theirnukes, so and they will get to
the nuclear facility. It is goingto happen. That might be a cyber
attack, but that was coming regardlessof what took place last week, because
everybody is on board with that.Saudi Arabia is on board with Israel handling
that kind of business. Because nobodywants Iran to have nuclear weapons. I
(42:37):
want to point out to everybody howthat changes everything, How that changes the
entire situation. If they were toget a nuclear weapon, it changes everything.
(43:01):
That entire neighborhood becomes something completely differentbecause now you have somebody who is
threatening to wipe people off the map, who's threatening to destroy a nation.
I mean, it would be tothe point where you would have to go,
do we just arm all of them? Because the greatest to turn at
(43:23):
that point in time is you know, and by that, do we give
Saudi Arabia nuclear weapon? Like youstart talking about that because of the fear,
you can't have one like Iran who'sthreatening to destroy anything that they can.
Remember, you've got the religious sideof it, you've got the Muslim
(43:46):
faith, and you've got two partsof it, and they don't get along.
And Iran being the biggest bully andobviously the deck on the block.
The facts are that if they gotweapon, it changes that entire neighborhood.
It makes it that much worse andmore dangerous. Is it world War three?
(44:07):
No, we are seeing a regionalconflict. So everything that the US
was concerned about has happened. Thatsaid, I don't want to be hyperbolic
and start talking about World War three. Okay, regional. I know the
Iron's already playing it down. SoI think you reacted. We reacted.
(44:29):
Back channels are going on now.Look guys, enough, all right,
enough stop it. Israel needs totake care of what Israel needs to take
care of with Hamas. They've gotenough issues there. The fear is that
this was going to spread into Lebanon, and once Hezbolah got involved, if
they do in a serious way, that's when all bets are off. Because
(44:52):
Hezbolah is not a ragtag bunch offighters you see in some places in Yemen
and some of these other places. They're a well armed, well drilled machine
with lots of weapons on the onthe border, on the doorstep if you
will of Israel. That would changea lot of things. And they were
(45:12):
expecting potentially something yesterday. They didn'tget it. Thank God for that.
I think the messages have been sentcooler heads will prevail. Doesn't mean it
can't, you know, escalate, but I think they both sent a message.
You touched us, we touched you. Now let's all stand down three
two, three, five, threeeight, twenty four to twenty three.
At Chad Benson shows your Twitter.Speaking of standing down, they're not doing
(45:35):
that. At Columbia University, We'regonna talk about the insanity going on there,

In Columbia University chaos, Chad Benson, Joe, you're listening to the
(47:09):
Chad Benson Show. NYPD officers descendingon Columbia University arresting dozens of pro Palestinian
protesters are doing this. Police sumin riot gear moving in at the request
of the university's president to clear demonstratorswho set up a tent encampment, refusing
(47:30):
to leave overnight, calling on Columbiato divest from companies with ties to Israel.
Late today, demonstrators shutting down streetsaround the school. It is out
of control at Columbia University. Ifyou've not seen, just go google Columbia
University. See the sea of humanityof people that are well not a fan
(47:53):
of Israel, and a lot ofthem not a fan of the Jews.
I watched one kid screaming, weall all Hamas, Hamas live forever.
That's not I'm sorry, you're notlike, hey, Palestine, these people
are. This is genocide and famine. No, no, that is terrorism.
(48:15):
Hamas's goal is to eliminate the Jews. The situation here is not over.
We are here in front of ColumbiaUniversity where another group of student protesters
have just marched, camping themselves righthere outside of the campus, and many
of those student protesters telling me theyplan on staying here overnight. Good for
them. I saw they're interviewing abunch of people in tents, and I
(48:39):
guess the president said, look, here's the deal. If you're out there
and you're in the tent and you'reprotesting, we're shutting off your IDs and
you're suspended. And the look onthe kids' faces when they found out that
their IDs no longer work to getback in the buildings, to do any
(49:00):
of that stuff was like, Ican't believe they did it. They were
totally serious about it. What Ithink the only thing that ever works to
force people empowered to change every yearis protesting protest. Indeed, does it
really is that the only thing thatworks. I was always with Columbia,
(49:22):
and I think it's ridiculations. Sowe've just been talking about Iran Israel,
the attack. I want to goback and remind everybody without October seventh,
So if October seventh never happens, there is no Iran in Israel getting ready
(49:44):
to square off. There's no famine, there is no the Israeli army is
evil. Well there is for thesethese kids, but not in this in
the way that that people now areprotesting because the devestment movement's going on forever.
(50:06):
But without the actions of Hamas onOctober seventh, none of this is
happening, None of it is.Alan Dershowitz talking about the insanity on college
campuses. This is not pro Palestine. This is pro Hamas, which is
anti Palestine. The worst enemy thatthe Palestinian people have is Hamas. These
(50:30):
kids are Hitler youth. These arethe same kind of people who brought Hitler
to power in nineteen thirty three, cast tro to power Pole pot to power.
MO would say, tongue to power. Just because they're young doesn't mean
they're not extremely, extremely dangerous. What they're doing is providing aid to a
(50:52):
terrorist organization. Can you imagine auniversity allowing people to have a parallel chant
to from the river to the sea. Imagine them saying from the Atlantic to
the Indian Ocean, South Africa willbe free of blacks, and let's return
South Africa to white apartheid rule. Not a single student would be allowed to
(51:13):
stay at the university. Or whatif students said we are the KKK.
What if a group of white supremacistssaid we are the KKK. This is
not about freedom of speech. Thisis about a double standard. The diversity,
equity and inclusion bureaucracy is the incubatafor anti semitism at every major university
in the United States. Yeah, there's a lot to that, and that
(51:37):
whole, diversity, equity, inclusion. Know this, that is the start
of something that is absolutely evil.Touched on it a bit last hour with
the CEO of NPR, who hasnever ever gone a day without thinking about
diversity, equity and inclusion, andthe thought of, hey, we should
(51:58):
get diversity is great. Diversity thoughtsalways good too. Equity nah, you
know, we want people to beequal, but the outcome side which you
guys are pushing for is insane andinclusion. Again, inclusion is a good
thing, but I've always said everythingshould be natural. Forcing things on people,
which is what these neo Marxists, insane people want to do, is
(52:22):
to force you. It's not aboutdiversity, equity, inclusion. It's about
power. It's about can I bendyou? Can I get you to go
against your eyeballs? You see somethingover there. You know it's not real.
But if I can get you tosay it's real, then I've won.
(52:42):
Whether it's a man is a woman, if that's what they want to
be, no matter what it is. If I can get you to change
what you know to be true andto spout insanity, then I have got
you. It's about power. Aslong as we maintain the Dei intersectionality.
We're not getting to the heart ofthe problem. It is destroying American universities.
(53:07):
It is fomenting anti Semitism, it'sfomenting anti Americanism. Scratching anti Israeli,
scratch an anti Semi and you findan anti American. That's why these
people are sharing chanting death to America. This is anti American, this is
subversive. This is an attempt toreally overthrow the government of the United States.
(53:30):
Why did Mao Polepot and the likesgo to the young, especially the
women, because they knew through emotionsthey can get things done, and they
did. And that's scary. Itdoesn't start out with the big boom.
It starts out small. And collegesright now are fermenting chaos and craziness.
(53:53):
And we have to be aware.I'm telling you guys, Columbia University,
Harvard, all these places, thisis the place that so many leaders in
the past have come from. Thinkabout what we're seeing out there now.
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three
At Chad Benson Show's your Twitter. It is the Chad Benson check the Chad

Benson Show, Independent Thoughts, IndependentLife. This is Chad Benson, known
(54:39):
as mister Injector one on TikTok.Dustin David Moore has dozens of videos of
women he's given lip, buttock, and botox injections. To Attorney Joe Muloose
says it's bad enough that More advertiseshis unlicensed clinic. Inserting an adulterated substance
in somebody's body is even beyond believe. Malouf represents Brian Griego, who says
the butt injection she received from Morebecame a painful nightmare. Every day.
(55:01):
I would just wake up miserable.More is charged with unlawful practice of medicine
and one count of aggravator tossault, both felonies. If you get your doctor
on TikTok and he tells you tocome to a ramada in, maybe no,
you mean mister butt Injector is notreal. Nope, Nope, not
(55:22):
not what you thought. He's gottens of tens of happy customers and lots
of lawsuits on the way. I'mI don't get it. I have to
be honest with you. The buttthing is interesting, can you see it?
Like people all over TikTok's and thereels and I wanted this ginormous butt,
and the goal is to go toa person on TikTok that you saw
(55:47):
who's going to inject you into theforeign substance that you know. I mean,
it's just And these people are like, well, he'd seem legit.
He's not even in a strip mall. For God's sakes, he's had a
remind in Chad. Can't believe itto say something like that. Trump on
trial. This jury is made upof seven men and five women, all
(56:10):
from the diverse neighborhoods of Manhattan. All of them said they could be fair
and impartial, but they all havesome opinion of former President Trump, as
one of the jurors who was selectedsaid he was president. Everybody was talking
about him. And so there isone woman on the jury who says she
doesn't like his persona, but nonethelesspledged to his attorneys to give him a
(56:34):
fair shake. Doesn't like his persona, but give a fair shake. You
know, if you're a defense attorneyand you're coming at this and you say,
there's so many ways we can playthis. They've got two lawyers on
there, which is a big deal. Talk to a lawyer about your mind.
Yesterday and he said, look, having a lawyer on there, two
of them, and he hates Trump, by the way, but he just
(56:55):
can't stand Rump. He said, having a lawyer on there is a big
deal because lawyers are gonna lookt thisin a way. We're going Their first
thought is, probably shouldn't be tryingthis case, Probably shouldn't be in this
situation, trying to get and understandingthat you're stretching something when you use COVID
to add an extra year to theto do you know whether or not the
(57:20):
time limit had run itself out.On top of that, you're stretching federal
laws into state laws, minor offensesand campaign into felonies, And so they're
going to come at it in amuch different way. The other side of
it is I want a bias juryif I think, look, our whole
(57:42):
goal is we know this is goingto have to go to the appeals court
for me. And I asked himthis, Yesterdy, I said, well,
this'd be a good idea, becauseit's not a bad idea finding some
biased jurors that you can out lateron that people can then come and say,
look at this jury, here, look at these things they've said look
at what they've done. There wasno way you got a fair trial,
and there was a chance at amistrial. So you're you got to come
(58:05):
at this in all different ways.So you got seven and five. It
makes up twelve, right, Somen, five women. But now you
need all the alternatives you can get. So the alternates, kids, We
need alternates. We need as manyas possible. Who's up for it?
Who wants to sit in this coldroom for days? Anyone? Anyone?
(58:25):
During number four, according to presentation, just made an open court by one
of the ada's in the case.Apparently the person with the same name as
during number four, who said thatthis is the person, by the way
it said they were found trump fascinatingand mysterious. That person apparently had a
prior arrest not disclosed throughout the VuasDeir process. Apparently it was an arrest
(58:46):
in the nineteen nineties in Westchester,New York for quote tearing down political advertisements.
Ooho, tearing down sounds very modern, right, aren't you supposed to
be tearing stuff down at Columbia Universityanywhere else? Got to get as many
people as unbiased as you can youget, and you know what I don't
(59:07):
want somebody who doesn't have an opinionor thought about something. I want somebody
who can overlook their emotional side ofthings about I don't like this person or
I don't like that person for whateverreason. But I'm here for this specific
thing, in this specific thing, whether I like him as a human being
(59:29):
or not, I can be unbiasedin this thing. But because if you're
going to get twelve people plus fivealternates who have no idea or opinion about
anything in the world, what areyou getting. I mean, we're heading
towards idiocracy at that point. Soyou want somebody who can be fair.
(59:51):
And I think, you know, like that guy said, eh, you
know, look, he's the president. We know who he is. Everybody's
got an opinion because he's the president. So because you have an opinion,
though, can you be fair?I think I think a decent amount of
people can be. I think theemotional side for some people, it's gonna
be tough. You had some jurorsout there yesterday, the potential jurors saying,
(01:00:15):
well, you know, he's reallybad with COVID and my adopted niece
is Chinese and he hates the Chinese, and he's just like, thank God
you're not on the jury because youhave lost your blanking, freaking mind.
This is one of these rare caseswhere just about everything that's been litigated in
the court of public opinion, butthere will be legal arguments. What is
the legal theory exactly of the dahere that got it to the level of
(01:00:39):
a felony. That's gonna be onething I'm very interested in. And from
the defense perspective, are they goingto come out and say it's not true
that he had sex with Stormy Daniels. I don't think they're going to actually
say that, But how detailed thedefense gets is also going to be something
that I'll be looking for. DanAbram's right there. He's a lawyer.
(01:01:00):
We talk the other day how hegot his real big start because of the
oj trial. So no, againthe hush money side of stuff. This
is a campaign finance violation, abook keeping violation. This is not a
you had sex with a porn starthat was what led to the violations,
but that itself was And although wedid say yesterday and I don't know where
(01:01:22):
they had their tryst, that itis illegal to have an affair in New
York and they didn't prosecute him forthat. So most people have no idea
what this trial is. So golook at the polls. They're like,
well, isn't it about sex withthe porn star payer that the hush money
is not. It's not that NDA'shush money. That stuff is. That's
(01:01:45):
totally fine. It sounds weird.I mean, normally you'd think that would
be blackmail, but it's funny blackmailfor some hush money for others. So
we'll see what comes of this. But Monday it kicks off in theory,
so can we find the right canpeople be Can they have an opinion and
at the same time look at thislogically and just go on the evidence.
(01:02:08):
I would like to think so,but we're going to find out three two,
three, five, three, eight, twenty four to twenty three at
Chad Benson shows your Twitter. Meanwhile, officials had also said just days ago
the strike would not happen until afterPassover, which begins Monday, for eight
days. But either that was aruse in order to have tactical surprise,
or they simply saw a window ofopportunity last night. But there had been
(01:02:30):
a flurry of diplomatic action from theUS and others, so Israel would not
launch massive retaliatory attacks which would likelyhave caused Jaran to immediately respond. And
so far that seems to have worked. There you go. So they punched
each other. Everybody's fine, calm, cool heads can prevail. Both get
(01:02:52):
to go back to their countries andsaid, we handled our business, and
now you know, Iran is goingto get continue to look and see and
fund the stuff that they fund forthe insanity and the attacks and whatnot.

one hundred percent. It's one ofthe things I love about finance.
There is something called natural law. You're not gonna roll strikes forever, right,
You're not gonna roll good right, there's natural laws. No one stays
hot, right, there's things thatwe all inherently know. And it's true
in finance and economics as well. And what I'm really referring to is the
(01:05:39):
whole zero percent interest rate world wherecentral banks were trying to generate inflation,
and if you listen to what theysaid, it was like, no matter
what they did, they couldn't generatethe inflation they were after. And it's
so funny because for years I saythis on our show, which I'd say,
look, this really freaks me outbecause you know, inflation is like
the dog chasing the car, right, everything's fine until he catches it.
(01:06:02):
Where are we going to go oncethey catch the car? Now, all
of the pressures that you saw inthe past fifteen years, this central banks
would site as being deflationary, youknow, the European sovereign debt crisis,
austerity out of European countries post eightoh nine. You know, all these
things were deflationary supposedly, and it'sjust amazing to me post COVID how all
(01:06:27):
of that has turned inflationary. Andwhat I'm getting to is when you see
conflicts these things pop up. Allit's doing is throwing more wood on an
already really hot fire. And militaryconflict is inflationary. It just is in
almost every aspect. The thing Ithink is amazing, mo Chad is when
you sit there and look at theworld today. You look at the shortfall
(01:06:48):
in commodities and energy, and whenI say shortfall, people go, oh,
We've got plenty of supply. Igo, I'm not talking now,
what about replacement guys? You know, for instance, if you have you
know, if you have a metalshortage right now, or you know,
whatever or you have increasing demand.People forget it takes twelve years from when
you find a resource in the groundwhere you actually start producing it. So
(01:07:12):
anyway, I just that's kind ofa rant. But the yeah, it
can have massive impacts. And whatI'm and I think there's massive opportunity though,
because with all that being said,I look and I got eighty four
dollars oil. I look and I'vegot gold at new all time highs.
But go look at it compared toother assets over the last twelve years.
(01:07:33):
Right, pretty hard to make itargue. I mean it was almost at
this level in twenty eleven. Yeah, right, I'm looking at housing.
I'm looking and then I'm looking atsilver still at twenty eight and I'm looking
at copper it for I'm looking atthat gas that they're giving away. I'm
looking at ten, I'm looking atpalladium. Just I think that there's unbelievable
(01:07:57):
opportunity there. And what's crazy iswith the backround of all this inflation,
there's still major opportunities. These thingshave just started to party. In our
opinion, talking to Zach A.Brahm, chief investment Officer, Board Capital,
here's something in the now going onthis second. Here you are,
you're managing money, You're looking aroundwhen you see something like what's going on
with Boeing hearings yesterday? Whistleblowers? How do you approach something like that in
(01:08:20):
the stock world where obviously some ofyour people may have Boeing and you know
you want to buy a dip andand is this real? I mean,
how do you approach something like that? Because let's be honest, you know,
if planes fall out of the skyand they blame your company, that
doesn't help your stock, no funny. How we get back to that natural
(01:08:41):
loathing? Right? I think, first of all, and I always want
to be careful when I say this, and I think I've really been good
at acknowledging them, hopefully, Butanybody that does this for a living is
going to be wrong sometimes hopefully you'reright more often than you're wrong. So
I'm not saying this in an effortto bring about something I got right.
I'm saying it because I think it'sa great lesson for all of us as
(01:09:03):
people but also investors to recognize thatnatural law and use that wisdom and experience
to be able to avoid things likethis going forward. And what I'm alluding
to is I actually did a showon Boeing back in twenty nineteen where we
had done what started as research intothe company to make it a significant position
(01:09:25):
for us after the sellof at theend of twenty eighteen, we actually bought
a small position, and then we'redigging deeper into making it a larger position.
And I was horrified by what Ifound. In twenty nineteen, we
were I did a Jose if youwill on Boeing Day the show aired,
I got a call from an anonymousperson that had quote unquote connections to Boeing
(01:09:45):
that wanted to correct many things thatI had gotten wrong, and they've since
been validated. The reason I pointthis out is that again natural law,
Charlie Munger talks about this alta allthe time, or he did talk about
it. God rest his soul.Where to show me the outcomes, To
show me the incentives? Okay, when you looked at what Boeing was doing,
when you looked at every single Iinterviewed seven different employees from all up
(01:10:08):
and down the managerial levels of Boeingin all different departments. I'm talking accounting,
engineering, maintenance, machinists all overthe place. Management, non management,
all that kind of stuff. Andwhat you heard over and over and
over was the number one thing thatthe employees were aware of were the stock
price targets. So the whole thingwas, why are we doing this?
(01:10:29):
Look at the stock? Look atthe stock. Everybody knew that seven hundred
dollars a share was the goal thatmanagement had. Okay, and you know
this set. There's an old sayingyou can manage your stock, you can
manage the company. When you startmanaging the stock, that's what I'm going
to sell your company. And thereason why is and everybody was believing this
hyper growth story. So I thinkeverybody needs to learn a lesson that.
(01:10:50):
If you go back and I'm surethere were other people saying it, I
felt like the only person saying itat the time. But if you go
back to twenty eighteen, twenty nineteen, I did a podcast on it,
you can find those things. Hey, when you see things like this,
you know that this is something thatshould be avoided. This is a company
that's just based on financial engineering. Now here's the sad truth of it.
(01:11:13):
You will know when the right time, because there will be a right time
to buy Boeing. And why doI say that because they've got US government
won't want I'm going here, right, they're a total, they're a I
don't think it's I don't. They'renot a monopoly because of Airbus, but
because of Airbus is why the USgovernment. You know they're competing against a
government subsidied company, so you knowthey're not going anywhere. But here's the
(01:11:35):
time I think when we will takeprobably a plunge at it. My guess
is that it will be price issignificantly lower than are currently trading, would
be my guess, and you'll seeit when the entire management gets overhauled until
they completely blow up that whole managementteam. Switching out CEOs at the top
(01:11:55):
isn't going to change anything. Theissues there will only continue until you see
until then, unless you're just playingit is a government subsidies defense contractor,
which is not. I'm not sayingthat's a bad I'm not saying you can't
make money doing that, but youknow, there's just no fundamental reason to
buy that company with the current managementin place. There's just you can't trust
them. They're not competent. Idon't I think they are, at the
(01:12:19):
very least morally questionable, but yeahto me, it's not super expensive here,
but yeah, all right, ZachAbram, Chief Investment Officer. People

Chad Benson Show. This is theChad Benson Show, Independent Thoughts, Independent
(01:13:21):
Life. This is Chad Benson. It's the biggest story in the world.
Trump's trial, no iran no.Taylor Swift dropped her new album The Tortured
Poet's Department at midnight. Oh that'sa taste of the first single, Fortnite
featuring post Malone. Fans rushed tostream the sixteen songs and obsess over the
(01:13:42):
lyrics, and then they were hitwith a surprise. It's a double album,
another fifteen songs of Swift sadness inspite this is a breakup album after
all. The review so far glowing. The BBC calls the album vulnerable but
vicious. USA Today says it's huntinglybrilliant. I think it's bitter chad.
(01:14:02):
Iran got attacked last night. WorldWar three, I know, but we're
gonna do what's trending in a minute, and I'll tell you what's trending this
you're the way it started. Theycall it vicious and bitter sounds nice.
Does she have a new boyfriend? She has one song about him, and
he's a pretty good guy. IfI'm listening to this, I want no
(01:14:25):
part of Taylor Swift dating cause it'sit's like love. I mean, maybe
you know, all right, butif you're a young guy and it's like
Tom Middlson. She hasn't destroyed him, Loki, she hasn't killed him yet.
But and she apparently goes after KimKardashian in this what Oh my goodness,
(01:14:47):
mate, come on, it can'tall be about World War three,
right right? A senior US officialtelling us that Israeli missiles have hit at
least one site inside Iran. Noreport yet on casualties, or what specifically
this site was. Israel has beentelegraphing that it will respond, officials telling
me at the time and place oftheir choosing, they did not specify what
(01:15:10):
that response would be like. Andof course Iran has said that if Israel
chooses to respond, their Iranian responsewould be severe and immediate. Yeah,
well they went last night. Whylast night, a lot of people thought
they were going to wait till everpass over. Some people thought, even
myself that look, they got along memory, but they wanted to make
sure that everybody knew that they werenot going to put up with this stuff.
(01:15:33):
What's the White House saying? Sofar, no word from the White
House on Israel's retaliatory strikes against Iran, but there are a few times today
that reporters could hear from President Biden. It's possible he addresses the issue at
the top of remarks he makes atnoon before addressing the International Brotherhood of Electrical
Workers, or during his departure fromthe White House before he heads to Wilmington
(01:15:55):
later this evening. Press Secretary ofKorean John Pierre will very likely be asked
about the strike during or press briefingin the afternoon. Not a lot not
so far. I figured they wouldbe out there talking about it. I'm
sure they knew what was coming andwhen it was coming. I would be
surprised if Israel didn't keep them abreastof said situation, even though we did
not participate in it whatsoever. Andknow this the because you know, I
(01:16:19):
mean, the Taylor Swift stuff, all kidding aside, is the big story
in America because well, welcome toAmerica shows you how wonderful our life is.
The tit for tat that could growfurther, I don't think is going
to. I think Ron wanted tosend a message and they did, and
they you know, I mean, nobody died. So that's why this thing
(01:16:42):
isn't any bigger. They were easilythwarted. And I know some people say,
well, you know, they triedsomething, it didn't work. I
think if if they would have killedyou know, five hundred people and destroyed
several buildings throughout Israel, I thinkit would be a much different response.
This response no nuclear facility, mostlyair bases and not really populated areas,
(01:17:09):
and Iran even at times last night, contradicted themselves saying it was happening,
it wasn't happening it is. Imean, it's sad that we're in this
position, but you know, thishas always been a very bad neighborhood for
Israel, always has been. Sothe question is is there going to be
(01:17:32):
an answer from Iran. Iran hassaid that they would respond within seconds if
attacked by Israel. So the greatdanger in this region is the tit for
tack. Is this war getting outof control because it's a tough neighborhood,
right, there's a sense here thatyou have to respond. Attacks cannot go
(01:17:53):
unanswered. No, they can't.But you're answering a question that Iran already
asked, which was can you handlethis? And Iran said yes, And
Israel said, we understand you canreach us. We just want to show
you we can reach you as well. Now, hopefully cooler, calmer heads
(01:18:15):
will prevail. Israel's got other fishto fry in what's going on in Gaza,
what's going on now with there seemsto be immediate kind of focus that
needs to go on to what's goingto happen with Rafa? When are they
going to go in there? Howbad is that going to be? So
the stakes are incredibly high. Withinthe last twenty four hours. Iranian officials
(01:18:38):
have been warning saying they've got thefinger on the trigger and that they've identified
Israeli nuclear sites as potential targets ofhow they might respond. But the massive
caveat right now is that the Iranianmedia are playing this down. They seem
to be de escalating with their rhetoric. And I think right now that is
a very very important point, indeed, very very very important, and you
(01:19:00):
move from that till Monday. Becausewe got them jurors. This jury is
made up of seven men and fivewomen, all from the diverse neighborhoods of
Manhattan. All of them said theycould be fair and impartial, but they
all have some opinion of former PresidentTrump, as one of the jurors who
was selected said he was president.Everybody was talking about him. And so
(01:19:24):
there is one woman on the jurywho says she doesn't like his persona,
but nonetheless pledged to his attorneys togive him a fair shake. Well that's
nice to you. You're gonna givehim a fair shake? Huh? Y'all
like his persona? Can you givehim a fair shake? That's all anybody
wants. We just want a juryof people that regardless how you feel about
him, because if you don't havean opinion on him, because you don't
(01:19:45):
really know what's going on, that'sscarier than having an opinion and saying that
at least I can give him afair shake, because if you have no
idea, I don't even know whatwas he the president of? What?
Here? Ark hunt? I mean, that's that's terrifying. Those already sworn
in must be ready as soon asMonday for possible opening statements. There's the
school teacher who said she admires howTrump speaks his mind, and the grandfather
(01:20:10):
who called Trump fascinating and mysterious.I think he's anything but mysterious. The
big thing, though, you've gottwo attorneys, which is a big deal
because attorneys are going to come atthis in a much different way, including
the fact that they're going to takeinto account of whether or not this thing
(01:20:31):
should ever be tried. And you'vealso got an engineer. And why I
think that's important is engineers tend tobe logical. There's not a lot of
emotion. When you get emotion iswhen you get swings in things, whether
you love somebody or hate somebody,You don't want any of that, So
(01:20:51):
can you be unbiased? That's whateverybody wants. I don't know if everybody's
capable of being unbiased. They maysay that they are right, they may
say, yes, I can dothat, but in the end, can
they don't know? By the way, Trump, they have no case.
And that's what this is. Andit really is a shame. Really is
(01:21:15):
a shame, no case. Thewhole world is watching this hoax. You
got a da that's out of control. You have a judge it's highly conflicted.
Yeah, why he talks about thejudges because his daughter has worked for
Democratic you know, strategist, andshe's worked for campaigns, and she has
(01:21:35):
said some things about Trump. Socan can the judge be unbiased in all
these things? I just we're gonnafind out. I look at it this
way. It is a precursor towhen it goes to the appeals court,
and from there you're gonna get amore sense of what this is. I
still think in my heart he's goingto be convicted, but it doesn't mean
(01:21:56):
the conviction ends up being the convictionbecause the appeal process. I think in
a lot of these things, whetherit was his mar A Lago and his
his you know he got that kabilliondollar fine or whether it's something like this.
The appeals court is going to havea much different view of these things
(01:22:17):
than a place where you're going tohave biases, and I just that to
me is the most important part ofall this. Three two, three,
five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson shows your

find out what's trending. What's trending? James Dean, Norway, Oman,
(01:24:16):
Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Serenawhat Let's find out what's trending on the
interwebs on this beautiful Friday. It'sAmerica right, It's to show you where
(01:24:39):
we are as a species. Howblessed we are. You would think the
number one trending thing on something likeGoogle would be You're on Israel, Come
on potential World War three now TaylorSwift. She dropped her album last night.
(01:25:00):
Iran a second, though Israel isthird. Alman Brothers, Dicky Betts
is fourth. Florida Communism Bill Ohmy god, Transformers one also trending.
Arizona Coyotes are leaving Arizona. Theywill now be the Utah. Who knows
what? I helped the YETI becauseI saw a uniform idea the other day
(01:25:27):
and I'm friends with the people whorun the Coyotes and frustration trying to get
a They're willing to pay for alltheir own stuff. They're willing to build
their own building, and nobody wantedthem in a day and age when everybody
asks for handouts, you know, like, hey, we want tax breaks,
which everybody gets. That's fine, but we want this, we want
(01:25:47):
that, we want and we wantyou guys to find half of it.
Now they're willing to pay for theirown and Arizona's like, nah, it's
okay. Columbia University, we've beentalking about that trap. The new movie
from m Night Shalaman debut trailer yesterday. I gotta be honest, looks really
cool, looks really cool. Nineto eleven outage trending as well. In
(01:26:15):
Indonesia's volcano eruptions, Sue Nami,Nummy, Nummy Nummy, Head over to
Yahoo su Nami, volcano eruption, student slap teachers passover, Taylor Swift,
Daytime Emmys, Donna, Donald Trump, Milania Trump and Israel Iran conflict all
trending, and finally over to areyou ready Twitter? Which is normally very
(01:26:42):
politically more so than a lot ofother things. I mean, you can
go to your spots. Number onetrending thing Taylor Swift, followed by her
songs. You have to go downlike fifteen things before you get to Iran.
(01:27:03):
Is it insane? Travis Kelsey obviouslypart of it? Fifteen more songs
I hated here, Clara Bow,Mozzie, Oh my Lord, fifteen extra
songs, all trending right now.Like that is the power that she has.
(01:27:25):
I just want people to understand thatis the power she has. There
is a conflict on the other sideof the world that has been brewing up
for centuries. Last weekend, waitingall of a sudden, Iran attacks.
Then last night Israel attacks back intoIran in several other places, and Taylor
(01:27:54):
Swift is the number one trending thingthat just shows you the power that she
has. Oh my goodness me threetwo three, five three eight, twenty
four, twenty three at Chad Benson'sshows your Twitter, tweet at us text
the program. I can't believe she'sgot a new album. Me either.
I'm very excited for it. Shereplaced him that music probably will. Why
(01:28:18):
not talk a little bit more aboutColumbia, the university. What the hell
is going on over there? Ifyou guys are not paying attention, this
is insanity, Like you could notbelieve the people, these young kids who
are out of control, who livein this world of oppressor versuppressed. Next
(01:28:40):
week we're gonna have we're gonna haveauthors on of a new book out about
the young and the neo Marxism thatwe talk about, the DEI insanity,
all of that stuff, and itis scary and we need to understand me.
When you think about places Harvard right, the Ivy League schools, Columbia,
(01:29:02):
these are people that are going tobe power positions and their thought process
is insane at this point in time, from the Dei insanity that's out there
to this crazy love affair with Palestine, but in particular even Hamas, the
flirting with people whose sole goal isto eliminate the Jews. I told my
(01:29:30):
friend the other day. We weretalking yesterday about this, because I was
playing pickaball last night and some youknow people are like, so, you
know, I've listened to you andstuff, and what do you think about
what's going on? You know? And we were talking about colleges, and
I said, I find it interestingthat if this was a bunch of people
(01:29:50):
that were meeting attacked by the Jewswho were white, let's just say,
right, poor white trash. Let'sjust say that Palestine was a trailer park,
I said, would people feel thesame? Would they be in enraged
by what is going on? Isit the color of the skin. I
(01:30:11):
mean, there's so many things thatgo into this. We're talking a bit
about that, got some crazy stuff, people screaming we are Hamas, Oh
my goodness. A lot of otherthings you get through three two, three,
five, three, eight, twentyfour, twenty three at Chad Benson

We appreciate it when you do.It is the Chad Benson Show, Sun
Chad Benson Show, Independent Thoughts,Independent Life. This is Chaddsit. It's
(01:31:10):
Friday, and on Friday we talkabout some of the stories that we miss.
We call a little sound salad?Shall we sound salad? We see
the creation of a new massive classof useless people as computers become better and
better in more and more fields. So it is a distinct possibility that computers
(01:31:30):
will outperform us in most tasks andwill make humans redundant. And then the
big political and economic question of thetwenty first century will be what do we
need humans for? Or at least, what do we need so many humans
for? Uh oh Ai is comingfor us. You're going to be robots
taking over the world. What dothey need us for? That is a
(01:31:53):
good question. The big political andeconomic question of the twenty first century will
be what do we need need humansfor? Or at least what do we
need so many humans for? Doyou have an answer in the book?
At present, the best guess wehave is keep them happy with drugs,
and computer game. Keep them happywith drugs and computer games. That's what
(01:32:15):
we eat them for. Oh jeez, do you see Boston Dynamics this week
had their new robot. You've seenthe movie Megan. She's dancing and she
does all kinds of weird things. The Boston Dynamic robot was like laying on
the ground face down and its legscame over and went up to its head.
And you're thinking to yourself, thisis exactly how it happens. This
is it Friday sounds solid things thatpeople are talking around the water cooler.
(01:32:41):
They still do that. Nobody goesto work, so how would we know.
One of the perks of her jobis being able to bring home groceries
to her daughter and granddaughter, alot of bread the chicken. They live
together in a modest, two bedroomapartment in your downtown Los Angeles, where
she foots the two thousand dollars rentfigure that keeps climbing faster than she can
(01:33:01):
keep up. WI don't pay therent, Where are you going to leave
it? Patricia Clipper volunteers here fourdays a week, getting to take home
a free cart of food as areward. Well, her situation is an
ideal. She says. The storyshe hears from other customers heartbreaking. They've
lived to all of their lives andnow all of a sudden they have to
(01:33:23):
decide between do I get these twoor three apples? Or do I pay
rent? Oh, that's a bigdeal right there. Guess what it's working,
except it's not. So that wasLos Angeles. People are working at
the food banks and they get freefood. Let's go out to New York.
Food prices in New York City eighteenpercent higher than they were three years
(01:33:46):
ago. Years ago, and that'sabout six percent a year higher than inflation,
but not the highest. When youlook at major cities around the country,
those are some of the components thatwe pay for that go into the
basket every single week. New Yorkabout third on the list. Look at
Philly and DC. It's right therewith Los Angeles and FEEDINGX. But the
things we pay for on the weeklybasis, they just keep getting more and
more expensive and it's hard to avoid. Well, there, how many people
(01:34:09):
who would say that their salaries havegone up eighteen percent of lest here?
Sure? Yeah? And how muchcan you really? What are you going
to change in your lifestyle? Theonly thing you can really do is change
how much you eat out at restaurants. If you think that's the most expensive
part. Yeah, well it's becomingmore and more expensive. Let's go back
to California. The Sunny shows pricesat some fast food restaurants increase anywhere from
(01:34:29):
twenty five to fifty cents. Andwhile that doesn't sound like a lot,
that isn't mean customers aren't feeling it, especially those who often eat at fast
food restaurants. They tell me itall adds up fast, convenient, and
cheap, three selling points for America'sfast food restaurants that may soon be outdated.
The five dollar meals are gone, like you'll never see those again.
With the new twenty dollars minimum wageincrease, fast food companies are adjusting.
(01:34:54):
I'm coming here for the obviously, for the convenience of it being fast and
easy. But if I'm going tostart paying like restaurant prices that I'm gonna
have to go somewhere else, whatare you kidding me? No, they're
not kidding you. Some of thesethings are restaurant prices. I will tell
you this. My uncle was talkingto me yesterday. He's like, dude,
I went the subway. Did youget a five dollars foot long?
No, it's a six dollars. It's a six inch for ten bucks.
(01:35:15):
What excuse me? Yeah, yeah, the six inch is now ten bucks
now. Each place, subway andstuff they're managed differently, so maybe one
six bucks somewhere else or five byBut he was just like, that's ridiculous.
Sorry. A new report by KalinowskiEquity Research show some fast food restaurants
have increased their prices since the newminimum wage law went into effect on April
(01:35:39):
first, with one Dye's leading theprize hikes at eight percent. Chipotle is
up seven point five percent, Starbucksseven percent, Taco Bell three percent,
and Burger King went up two percent. We contacted the California Restaurant Association,
who responded, in part quote, the consequences of this law were entirely predictable.
(01:35:59):
Since it took effect, job losses, produced working hours, restaurant closures,
and higher prices for California's inflation wearycustomers have been ongoing end quote.
Just for two of us, theycost me twenty eight bucks, and I
got him like a couple of mealsand that was it. Customers like Paul
Faneda and his family are already feelingto squeeze. I used to pay like
ten bucks. Now it's like thirteen, so it's like an overtime that's like
(01:36:23):
six bucks, nine bucks. Itjust keeps going. So is Owen Finanta,
who was coming from Chipotle for nowcustomers saying they don't likely have to
change their eating habits. Polya, stop me about polyol last probably a couple
times a month decide not to eatout, potentially changing the way fast food
is perceived and consumed. Yeah, not a shocker. So wait, let
(01:36:45):
me get this right. You mandatedtwenty dollars an hour. So for the
most part, people got a twentyfive percent raise for some one hundred thousand
workers up and down in California, and then o cost up for the owners
of those businesses at fast food restaurantswith over sixty locations stationwide, even if
(01:37:08):
you only own one, and thosepeople decided I'm gonna cut hours, I'm
gonna go automated, I'm gonna closemy business. What who saw that come?
Everybody? Stevie Wonder saw that coming. Okay, speaking of inflation,
Steven A. Smith, the economy, which is usually number one people don't
understand this when it comes especially toblack folks. Let me, let me
(01:37:29):
tell you something right now, whenyou talk about the economy the black folks,
that means money to everybody, itmeans money, but especially to us,
okay, who are no longer thedominant minority in this country. Those
are the Latinos. When we talkabout the economy, we're not talking about,
oh, the state of affairs economically, or even you know, the
job participation rate. We're talking aboutthe money that you keep in your pocket
when you go to the gas stationand it's exorbitant prices, when you go
(01:37:51):
to the supermarket and milk and breadand cheese and all of this other stuff.
It's exorbitantly hoigh compared to what itonce was. That is a red
flag to a lot of folks becausethe money you keep in your pocket is
what tells you whether or not theeconomy is flourishing or not. Preach it,
my man, preach it. Rememberwhat I said about the economy,
the two versions of the economy goingon right now. You have your work,
(01:38:16):
whether you own it or you're anemployee, and you think, okay,
I feel okay, things a littlebit more expensive. You know,
people are griping, but you know, business is still going. I'm not
really worried about losing my job. Then you take that hat off and you
consume, and that consumption side isthe one that's eating at everybody's soul.
(01:38:36):
And there I say something that willprobably be termed the most uncomfortable thing I've
never had to articulate out of mymouth from a political perspective. But I
got to tell you something. Asmuch as people may have been abhorred by
Donald Trump's statement weeks ago talking abouthow he's hearing that black folks find him
relatable because what he's going through issimilar to what black Americans have gone through,
(01:38:59):
he wasn't lying. When you seelaw enforcement, the court system,
and everything else being exercised against him, it is something that black folks throughout
this nation can relate to whoa hebrought it. Indeed, it's a few
of the things that we missed thisweek wanted to talk about. I tell
(01:39:20):
you it's you know, Trump's gettingready to start his trial on Monday.
We're gonna be off Monday, backhere on Tuesday. But Steven A hit
it on the nose, and I'mtelling you, guys, you know,
like I said, we talk aboutabe right, abortion, border and economy,
economy, across the bord, deflation, the whole nine yards. Those
things are going to be the bigdrivers outside of a massive terror attack that
(01:39:44):
would change everything. That's that blackSwan event. But inflation, inflation nation,
and that thing is eating at people'ssouls, which eats away at the

that. How many times we haveto sit here and say to your face
that puberty blockers are Would you supportthe right to an emotion because of the

a woman is the creator of life. Let me correct you. Women bring
about life. Men create life.Manily tunity banner. You can't get up
(01:43:30):
and say death to America as anAmerican citizen. He's a conservative. Now,
I'm a concerned I had not changed. I always liked America. I'm
thought death to what was bad? What in your view explains the fact that
there still hasn't been legal accountability forDonald Trump, that he is a legal
terrorist, and that's what this isabout, and it really is a shame.
(01:43:55):
And so in the spirit of that, I'm certain that the truth exists
for you and probably for the personsitting next to you. But this may
not be the same truth. Thisis because the truth of the matter is
very often for many people. Whathappens when we merge facts about the world
with our beliefs about the world. So we all have different truths. National
Progressive Radio, Yes, indeed,National Progressive Radio. We all have different
(01:44:19):
truths. Now what matters is thetruth. You may have a different experience
in life, but two plus twois still four. Just because you grew
up rich or poor, black orwhite, gay or strait, two plus
two is still four. The CEOof NPR National Progressive Radio. Indeed,
(01:44:39):
Ah, good Friday, good show. Indeed, Obviously, big stories come
Monday. Are we going to well, are we going to really have a
trial? I think we are. It's happening because we have jurors. Twelve
jurors have been selected to determine DonaldTrump's legal fate in his New York hush
money case. The jurors, sevenmen and five women, include a school
teacher, an investment banker, aspeech therapist, two lawyers, and a
(01:45:00):
salesman. It took the lawyers inthe case just three days to select them,
whittling down a pool of one hundredninety two New Yorkers to twelve jurors
and one alternate jurors. Selection isscheduled to resume tomorrow morning to find five
additional alternatres who could hear opening statementsin the case as early as Monday.
Now, obviously we already finding outwho some of these jurors are. It's
very interesting the fact that there's notone but two lawyers on this and an
(01:45:24):
engineer, which logic is very interestingin this situation because logically, that's what
I think the Trump campaign is,the Trump defense team is counting on,
is none of this stuff should havetook place, none of this trial should
be happening. Logically, you guyscan see that this is bs that they
(01:45:45):
stretched, that they twist themselves intoa pretzel to get to this point,
trying novel theories that have never beentried a federal quote unquote bookkeeping campaign violation
into a hush money campaign state FI. I mean, it's just it's insane.
(01:46:08):
One juror though, you know, because look, what do you want?
What exactly does you want when itcomes to a jury. The judge,
Trump's lawyers, the prosecutors, theyall want a juror who is impartial
and unbiased. That's what they want. They don't want jurors with problems.
So even though you know these issuesare coming up, it's better that they
(01:46:29):
find that out now, then thatjur gets seated, and then it comes
out later and then maybe you're facinga mistruck. Yeah, and you don't
want that. One juror said,I can't do it. One of the
jurors called up the court to informthem that she did not know whether she
could actually be fair and impartial. She was asked to come to court this
morning and went before the defense andwent before the District attorney's office and answered
(01:46:51):
questions about how she got to thatconclusion. And she said that she got
calls just yesterday alone from quote friends, colleagues, and family quote questioning my
identity as a juror. She continued, I don't believe I can be fair
and unbiased and let the outside influencesnot affect me in the courtroom. This
(01:47:12):
hits at the heart of the difficultyfor these jurors over the course of the
next six to eight weeks. Okay, well, we're going to find that
out as we get ready to rulethis thing out. I'm telling you guys
right now, it's the whole thingis bizarre. It's just a weird,
crazy situation. Fact that come Monday, former president of the United States,
(01:47:33):
the leader for the Republican Party headinginto an election that is just months away,
is going to stand trial for somethingthat I find to be ridiculous.
Well that's because you love them. No, it's not because I love them.
You guys know how I feel aboutTrump. I just find it ridiculous
this case in particular. Look atthe other cases. I'm okay with that,
(01:47:56):
but Atlanta, the Georgia one,and this one I find ridiculous.
Three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty four to twenty

Now it's time for some fun.And then I go and spoil it all
by saying something stupid. We'll takestupid pills this morning. It's the honest

of stuff to get to next week. Obviously, who knows what's gonna happen
