(00:10):
Independent thoughts, independent life. Thisis Chad Bension. Finally President of the
United States has come out and spokenout about what is going on on college
campuses. He was mia in factas really even as late as Wednesday night,
the thought was he was going togive some sort of speech next week,
(00:33):
because you've got to build him upfor this. Didn't answer any questions,
by the way, outside of onelike are you going to change your
policy towards the Middle East? Andhe's like no. Then he shuffled off.
But what did he say yesterday?Did he dazzle the crowd? Did
he confuse them? Yes? Aspresident, I will always defend free speech,
and I will always be just asstrong as standing up for the rule
(00:55):
of law. That's my responsibility toyou, the American people, my obligation
to the constitution. There you go, starts out with that free speech,
big fan, all right, continueto go, sir, Because was this
so much about the speech we've talkedabout that you should be able to have
that speech. That's the beauty ofour country. Some of the other stuff,
(01:18):
well, that's a different story. And moments like this are always those
who rush in to score political points. But this isn't a moment for politics.
It's a moment for clarity. Solet me be clear. Peaceful protest
in America, violent protest is notprotected. Peaceful protest is hundred percent.
(01:40):
The minute you start fighting, theminute you start intimidating, the minute you
break into other places, you've gonefrom the right to assemble and peacefully do
so to a position of well violence, and that changes everything. Continue,
mister president, Destroying property is nota peaceful protest. It is not the
(02:04):
law. It is vandalism, trespassion, breaking windows, shutting down campuses,
forcing the cancelation of classes and graduations. None of this is a peaceful protest.
No, no, it's not.And the fact that colleges have given
in across the board in many places, We've talked about this over and over
(02:27):
again. You continue to give intothese kids and give them the platform and
allow outside agitators onto campus, you'regoing to get what you get. It's
like anything. If I give into Charlie, I know she's good.
The minute I give her an in, she's going to take a yard and
maybe a mile. As with anyparent. That happened, and that's what
(02:51):
happened a lot of these college campusesis they continued to give in. They
continue to here's our list of demands, and they went with it. It's
nuts. There's the right to protest, but not the right to cause chaos.
People have the right to get aneducation, the right to get a
degree, the right to walk acrossthe campus safely without fear of being attacked.
(03:14):
True, one hundre per cent.True. Some more from Biden.
There should be no place on anycampus, no place in America for anti
Semitism or threats of violence against Jewishstudents. There is no place for hate
speech or violence of any kind, whether it's anti Semitism, Islamophobia, or
(03:34):
discrimination against Arab Americans or Palestinian Americans. Got to throw that in there.
Got to make sure we throw allof that in there the end. We
do, because otherwise, well wewouldn't. You know. He wants to
make sure he dots, you know, all the eyes crosses, all the
tea's, because he's he wants tocondemn this and the chaos that's going on,
(03:59):
but make sure that he doesn't losethe segment of the voting block that
he needs does not have any islamophobiaas well. Continue, We are not
an authoritarian nation where we silence peopleor squash descent American people are heard.
In fact, peaceful protests is inthe best tradition of how Americans respond to
(04:19):
consequential issues. He's right, He'sright, but he's got a big issue
here. As president. You're overseeingsomething. Bernie Sanders said something, and
(04:40):
in many ways because of the shortperiod of time before the election, but
also because of what's going on obviouslywith Israel, the reality is, is
this what Bernie says? It is? Well in terms of his campaign,
you know, I am thinking backand other people a making this reference that
(05:01):
this maybe Biden's Vietnam. That's notgood at all. We've got more from
Bernie coming up about the protesters aswell. But is this his Vietnam?
Is this You go back to Vietnam, and you gotta remember, everybody was
(05:21):
kind of fair game, right itwas. It was a war that nobody
really wanted, that nobody knew toomuch about. Everybody was men were particularly
you know, a little bit nervousabout what could potentially happen. You saw
where it was going and and andand what was happening here. It's it's
(05:44):
completely different, but no doubt itcan have the same effect to President Biden,
and he is worried about the leftside of the aisle, even on
the left because of the noise thatthey make and the outside influence they have
potentially on the voting block. Soyou're not approaching. And this is the
(06:06):
thing that's frustrating about politics. Younever come at these things anymore with the
right thing to do is this,it's the what's the right thing to do?
That we can go as far aswe can without upsetting this group over
here because I'm gonna need them inNovember, And that's frustrating as hell.
But is this a Vietnam potentially?Potentially, But there's definitely you know,
(06:32):
the fact that he came out andaddressed it, didn't take any questions,
which he should have. And acrossthe nation there are still protests going on.
There's still battles going on with youknow, because in part of the
problem with what you're seeing on campus, and we talked about the fact that
they were they acted way too latein many places. They allowed stuff to
(06:58):
get out of hand, the antiSemitism, they allowed it to get way
out of hand, and then whathappens there there there is a need in
people's minds if you're not going toprotect these kids, If you're not gonna
protect you're gonna allow this hate andideology to permeate throughout the campus. Remember
why Biden ran saw Charlottesville, theanti semitism and hate. This is a
(07:24):
thousand times larger than that, andhe's up until yesterday fairly silent on it.
And that's why you're seeing. It'sunfortunate that you had the you know,
the people show up the other nightat UCLA and said we've had enough.
Now the frat boys stuff. We'lltalk about the guys in North Carolina
(07:44):
protected the flag. I was watchingstuff from yesterday morning on UCLA's campus where
there's all these frat guys out there, right, and some big dudes and
they're holding they're holding flags and they'replaying. They got giant speakers set up,
and you see all the quad andall the tents set up, and
they're blasting Good Morning Vietnam at liketwo thirty or three in the morning and
(08:07):
rooster noises and just egging them onbecause to them, you know what,
it's it's a game, and they'rethere to push back, which is hilarious
at times, but that's how youalso get to the point where you see,
look, you've allowed these kids todo all of this stuff. You've
allowed outside agitators onto your campus, and this is when stuff goes south.
(08:31):
And thank god, we haven't.I mean, we've had some scirviaces,
we've had some fights, but wehaven't had anything that escalates to the point
where you're like, oh my god, people are gonna die. But when
you continue to give in to kidsand these outside agitators and you're worried about
your voting block and you're not doingthe right thing, and then you've got
(08:54):
these college campuses and these presidents whoare worried about oh my god, we
don't want people to be mad. That's how it goes from you know,
point A to point Z. Andjust you know, as they said in
the they said in the Legend ofron Burgundy, that escalated quickly. You
don't want that. Three two, three, five, three, eight,

(10:28):
Friday, as you guys know, and if you didn't know that, what's
wrong with you? I know,Chad, I'm in the house a lot.
I don't really talked to a lotof people. I just all the
days run together. Every Friday welike to put a little sound and a
little music together, and well welike to announce finally it's Friday. Do
you want students to die of dehydrationand starvation or get severely ill? Even
(10:50):
if they disagree with you. Ifthe answer is no, then you should
allow basic I mean it's crazy tosay because we're on an ivy Leau campus,
but this is like basic humanity Harryand Abe were asking for, Like
could people please have a glass ofwater? I'm done a hundred dollars fucking
my hole. I know what I'llsay. The burners burning old, go
(11:11):
through my pocketing through my skin.Among the morning, I'll be brown.
It's fine, fine, free,I'm done my motor rulling again. It's
fine, bid fied, I'm mano trum working, no king. Reason
time you think you're a white person, can I we don't like white people.
(11:39):
Free Palace died. We don't likewhite people. My no idea.
He was a terrorists that was notpart of what I was fat growing up
as an Obama kad It's fine andbad fire free. I'm done my motor
rulling Boga. It's fine, bitfried, I'm mad over truck. You
(12:03):
want to be an apologist for DonaldTrump? That's that may be your role,
but it ain't mine. It's timenext year. I might not be
sitting here. It might not bea White House course fund. It's dinner
or free press. This is theresult of the extreme left and PC crap
and people worrying so much about offendingother people. Unity around. Can't be
(12:41):
VP now. You can't shoot yourdog and then be VP. So I
important sprints right back at them.I see that we're doing a horror strike
and we're boycotting and we're protesting. But what if we also did a bathing
strike. Americans are nervous, increasinglynervous about AI. The Republicans in the
United States are a minority party. They only represent about thirty five percent of
(13:03):
the population. Well, lesson teachingthis the children of today. In this
case, gen z that we willtease you, we will beat you,
we will club you. This goesback decades and the word here is indulgence.
Indulgence to the children's wildest ideas. The pro Palestine people are actually worse
than the BLM people were, whichI didn't even know that that was possible.
(13:28):
Raise ast the pro Palestine people arelike worse they are. Man,
did you see that the crap thatthey left there all over the college campuses?
Then you know? And then yesterdayyou had George Washington University bringing the
American flag down, and you're like, really, and putting up the Palestinian
(13:52):
flag? What the hell are weteaching kids just out of curiosity? I
I I, it's shocking. Thenyou had what took place in North Carolina
touched on it earlier in the week. A bunch of frat boys. He
said, we've had enough, triedto bring down the American flag, and
these guys said, Nope, notgoing to do it, not going to
(14:15):
do it at all. We're goingto stand here, and you guys basically
said, over our dead body. And they stood there, they held that
flag, and good for them, damn it, good, good good.
Here's John Rich, big and Rich. When you watch the news all the
time, you can con yourself intobelieving that, man, every young person
(14:39):
in America hates this country. Lookat what they're doing on all these colleges,
but that is not the truth atall. And when I saw the
guys at UNC holding that flag upmaking sure it did not hit the ground,
it told me a lot about them. Number One, you're taught as
a young man where I come fromthat the American flag is to never touch
the ground under any circumstances. Youput your body in front of it.
(15:03):
If you have to, don't letit touch the ground. And number two,
that they were willing to stand thereand take that abuse and take people
throwing stuff at them. They said, yeah, we're just not moving.
This is the American flag. We'renot moving. I was so inspired by
that to see young people willing tostand up and like you said, enough
is enough that I reached out andI said, boys, I sure,
I'm proud of you. When youhave that big rager you guys are talking
(15:24):
about on gofund me, I'd liketo show up and play you a free
concert. And they hit back, and I think we're going to try to
make that happen. There you go, FI cap of five men defending their
flags. Throw them a rager.Go fundme, page four hundred and twenty
seven thousand, dollars as of rightnow, so I don't know what kind
of rager they're going to have, got free concert coming. He even said
(15:48):
he might do a song about it, So there you go. See,
we always think it's all these kids. No it's not. It's a group
and a lot of them are outsideagitators come on to campuses and are there
to cause hell, who are arepushing these kids in this crazy ideology?
And it's sad. It is asad situation that these kids are being sucked
(16:12):
up into this lunacy. I Idon't know what to say. It's just
and the whole mask thing that alwaysmakes me laugh as well. I was
watching one person to play in alittle bit talk about the guy. The
lady in fairness was having a conversationholding up the free Palace nine sign and
(16:37):
normally they freak out about that, but she goes, hey, why are
you wearing a mask? I mean, honestly, like, if you're so
proud of everything, why are youwearing a mask? And I don't know
why this group's wearing a mask, but for me and my friends, it's
because of the pandemic. And I'mlike, you guys just don't worried about
the pandemic, and you're wearing amask that is around your chin, and
(16:57):
that's it. I don't know whatyou think. I think this thing is
going to stop. No, it'sabout the fact that you don't want people
to see who you are because theramifications down the road will be massive,
and you know that a vast majorityof Americans don't agree with your stance.
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty three
(17:18):
At Chad Benson Show's your Twitter. If you miss any of the show,
shame on you. You can alwaysgrab the podcast. It is the Chad
Benson Joe, The Chad Benson Joe, Independent Thoughts, Independent Life is Chad
(18:00):
Benson. There's a lot of stuffthat we don't get to during the week,
a lot of good sound, alot of people saying things that are
hilarious, and we can't get toit because well, you know, there's
so many things going on, especiallythis week with the college campus lunacy and
whatnot. So we call little Soundsalad. Let's get to it, shall
we. What do you have tosay, ma'am? I'm sorry, but
(18:22):
a whole lot of Biden supporters aredumb as a fucking box of rocks,
Like somebody gonna sit up here inmy commensation talk about so why Trump didn't
do anything about the flip Michigan watercrisis. But then when I asked,
they as why they're precious Obama didn'tfix it when he sat up there and
pretended as if the water was nolonger contaminated, Why he didn't do it?
They want to start talking about Trumptaxes and how come he only paid
(18:45):
seven to fifty because he found alegal way to do it, and a
lot of y'all just mad about itbecause guess what if you had the money
that he had to pay for anaccountant that he had to well, he
don't have to pay all the markettaxes, then you would do it too.
She's right, she's right. Continue, ma'am, you're on a roll.
I don't want to. Don't letme stand in your way. Shut
(19:07):
the hell up. I'm trying tobe like Trump, not hate on them.
I'm trying to learn from them, not hate on them. That's the
difference between half and have nots. All of the have not people sitting back
and plaining about all the people thathave because they too busy for hating.
Instead of trying to learn something sothey can have to get them. Clue
boo. The world doesn't revolve aroundyour feelings. If you want to be
successful in life, if you wantto get anywhere in life, you're gonna
(19:29):
have to learn from the people beforeyou. And sometimes you're gonna have to
learn from people that you don't likeperiod year. That's why I say a
lot of Biden supporters dumb as abox of rocks because they don't have any
real argument. They just jump allover the conversation just to have something to
say. She's awesome. Oh she'sa walking Trump supporter. You think,
(19:52):
I think so. He's not afan of Biden. Not a lot of
people are, right now, we'veheard Bernie say it earlier. Right,
this is his Vietnam going. Youknow, the young don't like him,
the black folks don't like him,but they're just Americans. But of course
we have to put everybody in certaingroups. Right, how about one more
for her? Shall we? Okay? And did when you're trying to explain
to them, they want to resortto old will So I don't like you,
(20:14):
and I'm not a profile picture. This ain't no god content. Well,
this is but you know what I'msaying. I'm not looking for a
follow back. I'm looking for mye content me to be low again.
I'm ready to afford my rent again. I'm ready to put money back into
my savings again. That's our problem. Y'all always need to like common is
share to feel validated. The hellshe doesn't want you to like, comment
(20:38):
or share. I'm sure some peopledid, because that's what we do.
The most entertaining thing about a lotof videos, and I think you guys
know this if you're on any kindof social media is the comments and how
fast things can go sideways in thecomment section. I'm sure she heard a
lot, as I'm sure this guydid as well. So it's scarce about
(21:00):
the MAGA movement. Petrifies me,really, so that I can come on
here and say that I'm a lifelongRepublican, which I am, who's voting
for Joe Biden, which I am, because Trump is a pathological liar,
which he is. And their onlyresponse is I must be a plan to
an oper that I'm getting paid.I'm a stay at home dad. I've
never made a cent from any socialmedia account ever. But the fact that
you all have been so immersed inyour Fox News ecosystem that you can't tolerate
(21:21):
a single voice of opposition. Well, that scares me because you're not listening,
and that is always the beginning ofthe end. Always Shame's a pathological
liar. So it is Biden. You see, the Wappo came out this
week with was it one hundred andtwenty five lives or whatever? That Biden
is told. The lies he goeson and on about that have been debunked
(21:45):
a gazillion times, including the onethat has gotten now I think eight put
it eight times. He's gotten fourpinocchios from the Washington Post about him being
arrested on talking to a black familyon a poor sure in the front yard
somewhere, and they but people justignore those things, don't they. Oh
(22:06):
yeah, it is sound solid.Friday, we talk about some of the
wacky stuff that we missed during theweek. This lady not a fan of
the white guy. We are talkingspecifically about white men, and I'm just
gonna say it, but unapologetically goingto say it. White men are the
most dangerous species in the entire fuckingworld to women and to everyone else.
(22:33):
So we can reframe right. Menwant to be like, I'm not all
men. It's always a white manthat says that. By the way,
not all man. I like that. Okay, So let's reframe the question.
Would you rather be trapped in thewoods with a white man or a
black man, A white man oran araban, A white man or an
Asian man, A white man oran Italian man? This one might be
(22:57):
tough. A white man or aFrench Friends, white men are the problem.
You are who we are all afraidof. And if you all do
not starting changing your we're going tocomfort eat you. That. Wow,
nuts, What so are french men? Does she not understand that you know
(23:25):
are? Do you you don't classifythem as white? What are you really
only talking about Americans? American whitemen, who are the worst of the
worst. Who do you want tobe trapped in the woods with nobody?
But if I am, you know, I want to be trapped in the
woods with somebody who knows the woods, regardless of the color of their skin.
(23:49):
That's what I want, somebody whoknows the woods. If they happen
to be white, great, Ifthey're not, fine, I don't care.
But man, the hatred people havethree two, three, five,
three, eight, twenty four totwenty three Act you had Benton show is
your Twitter tweet at as texta program? More chaos, craziness of stuff that
(24:11):
we missed during the week. We'lldo that a little bit later. Still
the crazy chaos going on in collegecampuses, and there's plenty of that,
but there's also plenty of trolls. You said you had a problem. You
right, you do. Bro,I'm an African American. You are a
white man telling me to leave apart of the campus. Do you want
me to go to jazz and rushand show we're a photo of you that
being the students and let her knowthat you was harassing me? And yeah,
(24:33):
you are. You're asking me toleave a public place. You're asking
you, as a white man,are asking an African American student to leave
a public area. That's called racialdiscrimination and that's a violation of the Civil
Rights Act. So do you wantto get out of my face? Now?
You're being an agitator. I'm meetingan agitator. So you think the
First Amendment is agitation? No,no one see you're drawing lines that aren't
okay Because you're drawing lines that I'mpracticing the First Amendment. Right, Yeah,
(24:53):
he's not done because he's went therespecifically to make sure that he films
everything because and that's what makes himkind of hilarious. And he's messing with
them big time and also telling thetruth because they're telling in U. C
l A. A lot of theseother but you're not allowed to go there.
Yeah, are you gonna stop me? How are you gonna stop me?
Just a curiosity. I have aright to walk across the quad just
(25:17):
because you think, oh, thebad things that are going on, you
know, over in Palestine, andsomehow that gives you right to tell everybody
you can't do something. So what'swhat's an agitator? Iying to tell you
that? Right exactly? You can'texplain yourself. You're two white men.
You're two white men blocking an AfricanAmerican student from walking around on the cabin
to go wherever you want, whereI want. I'm allowed to go where
(25:37):
I want. You seem to beblocking one daughter stroller from going forward.
You just spilled my drink. Youjust build my drink, and you're blocking
you're blocking my child stroller from movingforward. That's a little weird, bro.
You're acting a little weird, bro. I think right now you're acting
you from Sorry Sorry Bro, Getout of my face or else. Three
(25:59):
two three, twenty four twenty threeat Chad benson Show, It's your Twitter,

(28:11):
compared to this, say one movieexpected to fall to the top of the
box office this weekend. I'm justa stunt guy. The Fall Guy,
based on the nineteen eighties Lee MajorsTV series Hits Theaters starring Ryan Gosling,
is a snuntman task with saving thestar of his latest movie, and at
the film's Los Angeles premiere this week, he said it's great to shine the
light on the men and women whofake the fall. Stun people are the
(28:33):
unsung heroes. They risk more thananyone on a film set. They literally
take the hits for us. Imean Ben got set on fire eight times
for me. In the show. The Fall Guy also stars Emily Blunt.
It's in theaters now, Yeah, that's gonna win the weekend. And it
looks fun. Actually, it lookslike what a show should be, which
is fun. A movie fun,it's fun. Swere you go to see
(28:53):
these things? I love The FallGuy when I screwing up. It's one
of my favorite shows. And theunknown Stuntman. The Fall Guy song was
actually sang by Lee Majors. Hewas the coolest. Some of you who
are a little bit older, maybemy age, even older, you like
Lee Majors was cool. Six milliondollar man, The Fall Guy. We
liked him right Big Valley. Ohyeah, you don't know who he is,
(29:17):
but I love me some Lee Majors. But the movie looks really good.
Now there's another thing coming out today, and in the wake of all
that is happening on campuses, whenit comes to the Jews and the Jewish
population and this screaming and yelling acrossthe globe of you know, let's get
rid of the Jews and infatada,et cetera, et cetera. Let's not
(29:41):
forget what happened less than one hundredyears ago. Okay, let's not forget
that there are some people that arestill around that were in places that were
so horrific and were there simply tobe executed. Going inside the gates of
Auschwitz wasn't easy for Jonah Howard King. It was every bit as unsettling and
(30:03):
frightening and surreal as you would think. He stars in the new limited series
The Tattooist of Auschwitz, based onthe true story of a couple who manages
to find love in the bleakest placeon Earth. And he tells me that
as a Jewish person working day inand day out in that environment, it
got to him when you have thesesets meticulously recreated and there looming over you,
and that's your workplace every day.It would be ludicrous to suggest that
(30:26):
it's not going to have this reallyprofound effect on you. All six episodes
of The Tattooist of Auschwitz are outtoday on Peacock. Yeah, it is
going to be interesting. I'm goingto watch that because I remember as a
kid growing up so one of mybest friends in the world, even to
this day, Ray Ray, loveyour baby. He lived just a few
(30:51):
houses down we grew up to getMy mom and his mom were best friends
growing up. I mean he waslike there at my birth were only a
couple months he's only a couple monthsolder than me. I mean we've been
you know, I'm fifty three.I've known or been in contact, if
you will, with him for fiftythree years. And when I used to
go to his house when I waslittle, his grandma and grandpa would be
(31:12):
there. And I've grown up.You know, I'm tatted up. My
dad was tatted up. But asa young kid, I didn't know.
When I'd see his grandma and grandpaand they had these numbers on their arms,
I had no idea what the hellit was. And then they would
tell us stories of what it wasand looking back, it's like, wow,
(31:33):
I mean that was the fact thatthey survived Auschwitz was amazing and it
is uh, you know it issomebody had to do that. I mean
you there there were Jews inside ofthe camps that had to do things for
survival. So this will be interesting. I'm gonna definitely check that out this
(31:57):
weekend three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty
three at Chad Benson's shows your Twittertweet at his TEXTA program off the serious
news of entertainment onto serious yet wacky. Yet we told you so, Britney
spears more issues. We got alook, I said the entire time this
(32:22):
was going on when they were freeBritney, there's a reason she's not free.
There's a reason, and we knowwhat that reason is. So paramedics
called why because the issues at ahotel partying and it got out of control.
(32:43):
And I'll tell you what, She'sgot serious issues. There is people
who care about her and knew herbest. No, they just wanted to
take money for they knew her best, knew that she had serious issues.
And lo and behold at a hotelstanding in the middle of the hallway,
screaming and yelling half naked. Thatdoesn't sound like somebody who's well. And
(33:07):
then you throw and drinking. Ithink there's a lot of drinking, and
I think she's probably not in thebest place mentally, and drinking, of
course does not help. They gotinto as you said, they got into
altercations with guests and hotel staff. Then she went. Police were called at
ten thirty. They came. Therewas nothing for them to do, so
(33:29):
Bray and Paul go up to theroom where huge fight ensues and people around
them in other rooms can hear them, and it's really it sounds violent.
Apparently there was something wrong with herleg and an ambulance was called and they
find her wandering in the hotel hallways, wrapped in a blanket, clutching a
pillow and hardly wearing anything. Shewas in the hotel hallways screaming and freaking
(33:52):
out. Yeah, screaming and freakingout in the middle of the hallway.
Continue she does not go with itbecause most likely if she had gone with
the ambulance, two things would havehappened. The first, shoot have had
to spend the night in the hospital. On the second, a fifty one
fifty would have actually been in stated. So she left on her own and
(34:15):
then you see the ambulance and thegurney gurneying out her things instead of hers
so she ends up going back home. Paul does not go back home with
her, so he apparently stayed atthe chateau, and she is now at
homes surrounded by friends and employees becausemost of her friends are in some way
employees. Most of her family isback in Louisiana. We know her brother
(34:37):
Brian is in town. And Ithink everyone is just very concerned. She
has these tendencies too. Obviously I'mnot a shrink, but she has these
tendencies to be a little bit manicor seem a little bipolar. Yeah,
you think there's some serious issues. So Paul is her new boyfriend. Because
her divorce was finalized this week, she had to send a six million dollars
(34:59):
check off to attorneys or whatnot. Her divorce was finalized this week. She's
she's got serious issues. She does. I think we know that. And
I was watching it the entire timewhen all this free Britney stuff was happening,
and I kept telling everybody, there'sa reason there is a reason.
There is a reason. Absolutely she'sgot problems, and the difference between somebody
(35:22):
maybe down the street who's got issueslike this. The whole world's watching this
now. Britney came out. Shedid a video saying what happened. Okay,
guys, so you know, Ireally twisted my ankle last night,
like an idiot is to show person, don't look at my feet. I
need a manicure. It's so bad. Fun idiot here tries to do a
leap in the living room at thechateau and I fell, embarrassed myself and
(35:45):
that's it. Paramedics came them adoor illegally of course, calls this huge
scene which was so unnecessary and allI needed was ice. But yeah,
it is. Actually it's pretty bad. But as chappens, oh pretty bread
three two, three, five, eight, twenty four, twenty three At
(36:07):
Chad Benson shows your Twitter tweet athis text the program Jimy City Show,
grab the podcast. It's the ChadBenson Show. This is the Chad Benson
Show, Independent Thoughts, Independent life. This is Chad Benson in a spectacle
(36:46):
of misguided valor. The privileged warriorsbravely advanced, placing their faith in rubber
maid and Petruli oil. But theguardians of order stood resolute, repelling the
advance. Like the steel curtain. There would be revolutionaries met not with victory,
but with the cold reality of life. Echoes of the folly of youth
(37:07):
reverberated across the nation, a cautionarytale immortalized in the Annals of Absurdity.
That is hilarious. They're making funof the protesters on campuses, done like
NFL films John Francensa and his voice. That was fantastic. It's pretty funny,
(37:30):
right, the whole thought of alot of this lunacy on campus.
Case in point this, guys haven'theard a lot of stuff going on on
the campuses, and because of that, maybe we shouldn't have to take exams.
We've just learned that the student editorsof the Columbia University Law Review,
(37:50):
which is the premier law students, are on the Law Review right they put
out a statement calling on the lawschool to cancel exams. Not because they're
concerned earned about the safety of Jewishstudents on campus right now, but because
the anti Israel students are apparently traumatizedby police having broken up their illegal in
camp. Oh my god. Traumatize. Yeah, they're traumatized. We can't
(38:16):
do anything about it. They've comeon to campus, these nazi swastika stormtrooper
looking people, I mean the police, Yes, and they've come here to
stop our chaos and craziness and allthis stuff. And while I have a
participator paid attention. Uh, thereality is this episode. Traumatized by it.
(38:37):
I should not have to take atest. These statement reads. We
urge the law school to cancel examsand give it all students passing grades for
their work throughout the semester. Allright, well that's a great start,
right, which is we just thinkeveryone should be able to get the same
grade. We should all pass andthey the violence we witnessed last night has
(39:01):
irrevocably shaken many of us on thereview. We know this to be the
same for a majority of our classmates. Oh my god, So you just
want these are people that are goingto practice the law in theory. I
think most of them are either goingto go to DC and really not practice
say they have a law degree fromColumbia, or they're going to go be
(39:23):
activists not really practice law. Butthe ones who will I hope you want
to take the test because you're nottraumatized by this, Because what's going to
happen in court where the other attorneywho you are doing battle with has a
juxtaposing position to what happened in thecase. Are you going to go this
(39:45):
is not fair. I should bethe one that wins this case because they've
they've traumatized me. They know no, no videos have circulated if police cladden
riot gear, mocked and brutalizing ourstudents. Really, did you see the
same video that I saw? Thepolice didn't ask to be there, this
(40:08):
business about the riot gear. They'rethey're in riot gear because they're afraid of
you, and yet there were noserious injuries at all. So this notion
of all, we're just so afraid, we're so worked. These are people
gonna be lawyers they didn't even knowto argue cases in court. Embarrassing,
(40:29):
Yeah, embarrassing. Indeed, absolutely, it's super embarrassing. Like I said,
what happens when they get out thereand you're like, we're going up
against this person from Columbia and you'regonna be like, yes, why because
he's probably it was so she's probablyit worse, and she could a freak
out. Or what if your courtappointed attorney is from Colombia and they're like,
(40:52):
I hope they don't tell me thatyou did it, because that would
make me feel bad. Oh mygod, three two three, twenty four
to twenty three atch you hadventson shows, your Twitter tweet at as text to
program. I love looking at thedemands. Did you see all the demands?
I didn't get to it yesterday, but you know they want gluten free
stuff. Gluten free We need allof these things, strobing flashlights and trash
(41:17):
cand lids and you know, boardsand handles for the boards so we can
larp around as we fight other peoplewith much better equipment. But we are
here because we are being oppressed. And if you're going to bring some food,
make sure it's gluten free and veganoptions because you know some people.
Oh my goodness, yesterday the presidentspoke about what's going on in campus.
(41:40):
Finally they woke them up and said, hey, hey, stuff's happening.
There should be no place on anycampus, no place in America for anti
semitism or threats of violence against Jewishstudents. There is no place for hate
speech or violence of any kind.Whether it's anti semitism, Islamophobia, or
discrimination against the Arab Americans or PalestinianAmericans. Okay, make sure make sure
(42:04):
that doesn't happen. And mostly it'santi semitism. Can we be honest,
But you have to throw the otherin there because they're a voting block that
may affect him in the future.Destroying property is not a peaceful protest.
It's against the law, vandalism, trespassion, breaking windows, shutting down campus,
is forcing the cancelation of classes andgraduations. None of this is a
(42:25):
peaceful protest. None of it is. It's not when you're clashing with the
police, when they've asked you tomove one hundred times and you've decided not
to do it. When you've gottento the point where they're canceling classes,
when you're stopping people from getting totheir classes the library, when you take
over buildings, when you destroy propertythat crosses the line. You do understand
(42:50):
that. And I know not allof them are students. That being said,
you've allowed them to participate. You'vebrought them in in many cases,
and they're there to make sure thatyou know how to do this correctly because
they've been arrested a bunch of times, some of these outside agitators. This
is what they do. If youreally cared and you wanted to make it
just about the students, Okay,But for a lot of them it is
(43:12):
part students and part outside agitators. And moments like this, there are always
those who rush in to score politicalpoints. But this isn't a moment for
politics. It's a moment for clarity. So let me be clear. Peaceful
protest in America, violent protest isnot protected. Peaceful protest is, yes,
(43:34):
it is peaceful. Absolutely not peaceful. No, And then you get
you can't be pissed off if youdo something stupid and then somebody reacts.
You punch somebody in the face andthen they punch you back. You hit
somebody with something a bottle, astick, and then boom, it comes
(43:57):
back to you. You can't bepissed about that. How do people feel
about this in America? You know, we see what's going on in the
college campuses, and we've seen stuffin protests leading up to this on streets
across the country. In fact, yesterday I was talking to my stepdaughter.
Last night, Lily and my wifeand her were in New Mexico last weekend
and coming home there were Palestine protestersin front of a few bases in the
(44:23):
middle of nowhere, New Mexico andArizona. I mean, so this is
everywhere, but now it's grown obviouslyon the campus. But what does the
average person say? The ABC NewsHIPSOS poll shows an uptick and the number
of Americans who believe the US isdoing too much to support Israel and it's
(44:43):
war with Hamas. In January, thirty one percent said so. Last month
it was thirty eight percent. Still, most in the survey say the US
is either offering the right amount ofsupport to Israel or doing too little.
The divide on the issue is clearalong ideological and generational lines, with liberals
and younger people showing far more skepticismof Israel and more sympathy toward Palestinians.
(45:04):
And that goes back to the oppressorand the oppressed. Always remember so much
of this as the oppressor and theoppressed. Because Israel isn't a hot mess,
they have money, they're successful nation. Because they look white, we
(45:24):
can go through all the things automatically, they get put into the oppressor category.
They're the oppressor. The oppressed isGaza and is Palestine, and it's
all Israel's fault. But you cango look at Egypt and see what they
do, right, and several othernations who've also said, yeah, we
don't want any part of Palestine andtheir plight. So but Israel will take
(45:49):
the blame for it. They willfrustrating jobs report out. We're going to
talk about that in a little bit. What's it look like? Good and
different? It wasn't as hot aspeople thought, so we'll talk a bit
about that. A lot of otherstuff to get to as well. Abortion,
Trump's on trial and if you guysare aware of that, and wait,
(46:09):
do you hear what a monkey didor an ape? I'm not quite
just wait do you hear? Allright? Wait, do you hear Raycon?
Best year bud's around? You'll lovehear Raycons. It is that time
of year to celebrate moms. Shecelebrate moms all the time. But Mother's
Day weekend is fast approaching. Whatare you getting your mom? How about
an everyday earbud from Raycons? Thesethings are amazing sound quality seconds and none
(46:31):
fit seconds and on three different soundmodes. Eight hours of talk time,
thirty two hours of battery life, news styles and colors to choose from.
And the thing I love about theseespecially for Mom, she wants some of
that piece and quiet. Guess whatthat Isolation mode will help her with that.
She could take a deep breath andnot have to listen to you.
(46:52):
But what she wants to She gotthe Awareness mode. It's incredible, best
sound, best fit at a bestprice. ND one hundred buck. I'm
gona save you twenty percent, thirtyday happiness guarantee and free shipping right now.
Do it for Mom when Mother's Day. Go to buy raycon dot com
slash jed. That's buy Raycon dotcom slash jed by Raycon dot Com slash
Chad Chad Benson. Joe, you'relistening to the Chad Benson Show. Trump
(47:24):
is still awaiting a ruling from thejudge whether to hold him in contempt for
a second time over gag order violations. The judge seemed particularly concerned about remarks
Trump made about the jury, suggestingit's unfair. It's unfair. Trump's going
to continue to push that as faras he can when it comes to contempt.
I've said you can't be the markeryou want to be unless they put
(47:45):
you in jail. They put youin jail, you got the opportunity to
come out, and hey, lookwhat they did to me. They tried
to silence me. Look at thisfirst of all, I go back to
this always when it comes to thisstupid trial in New York. It's a
stupid trial, it really is.That's ridiculous. And most people understand that,
(48:06):
most people who are logical, theymay hate Trump, but I mean,
even the platform that the prosecution isset up in, starting with Alvin
Bragg, how they even got tothe point where it's a felony because they
committed a crime to commit a crimeanother crime down the road, except for
(48:28):
they have never shown what that othercrime is. So in theory, this
thing shouldn't even have gone forward. But Trump now is going to push all
all the buttons he possibly can whenit comes to this, and continue to
do so. Meanwhile, in Arizonaeighteen sixty four, that's the original abortion
(48:51):
ruling. It's over, it's donewith, gone caput. Even though today
is a big moment to celebrate anda huge victory for reproductive freedom in Arizona,
this fight is so far from over. The confusion that's created from all
of this is exactly why we needto pass this ballot measure in November,
(49:12):
so that we never have to facethis kind of ban again, whether it's
a ban from eighteen sixty four ora ban from twenty twenty two that has
no exceptions for rape or incest orthe complications of pregnancy. I don't really
think that's true, but you know, people are going to spin it that
way. And it's fifteen weeks inArizona, which is pretty much where most
(49:34):
of the world is, including thoseEuropeans. What do you think it will
What kind of effect do you thinkit would have on voter turnout? Well,
I certainly saw over the last fewweeks after the Supreme Court of Arizona
upheld this eighteen sixty four draconian ban, fear, confusion, chaos, and
there's outrage. And certainly this isan issue that will motivate voters up and
(49:54):
down the ballot. And certainly abortionaccess is on the ballot in November in
Arizona. But not only is thisexact measure going to be on the ballot,
but the chance to vote for legislatorswho respect reproductive freedom. Oh,
and that's the big deal. It'snot just about getting it on the ballots
(50:17):
because Trump, and because I thinka lot of people think, well,
if we get it on the ballotsbecause Trump, and we'll be able to
feed Trump because some people are goingto come out. No, there's other
the reasons for that, and thebigger reasons is down ticket in many places,
because remember, state and local electionshave a much bigger influence and impact
(50:37):
on your life that maybe you realizethe cheese stuff is DC, but down
ballot matters more. But we onlytalk about Trump because well that's what the
media does, because you don't carewhat happens if you're in cedar rapids,
you really don't care what happens inyou know, a Maricopa County and Phoenix,
(50:58):
right. But the one thing weall participate in is that federal election
side of stuff where we all voteon a thing, and that thing is
President of the United States. Soyes, it will have an impact down
ballot, and that's what the Democratsare counting on. Why I don't think
it'll help Biden. The way thatthe people think is because you look we
(51:20):
going on right now in the collegecampuses. Young people want nothing to do
with Joe Biden. He won youngpeople against Trump going away. Now it's
close to a dead heat. Evenif he wins by ten points, that
is nothing compared to what he won. It is eroded. Somebody has to
(51:42):
do with age, right, anda lot of it has to do with
what's going on to the college campusesin Palestine and other places. He's got
serious issues. So will abortion helpin some ways? The Democrats? Absolutely,
But you're also trying to count onyoung people showing up, and that's
(52:05):
a different story because as we know, they're not really something you can count
on. Because when I was young, you know, we're flaky or flighty.
We all understand that. But whenyou're not enthused about something, well,
we'll see what happens. Speaking ofseeing what happens, doctor Ape is
(52:27):
in calling doctor Ape after getting injured, a wild sumatra in orangutang chewed the
stems and leaves of a vine humansused to treat wounds and illnesses like malaria
and dysentery. It's at carcooning withantibacterial and other properties. This was at
an Indonesian national park. The WallStreet Journal says the orangutang smeared the makeshift
salve on an open gash on itscheek until fully covered. Scientists saw no
(52:52):
infection. The wound closed within fivedays, healed within a month. It's
happening. The Rise of the Apes. There's a movie about this. It's
been several of them and this newone coming out now they're doctoring themselves.
Are you kidding me? Nature canmess you up and nature can heal itself.
Oh my god? Three two, three, five, three, eight,
(53:13):
twenty four to twenty three at chedMenson Show is your Twitter? Tweet
at his TEXTA program more on collegechaos, on campuses, a lot of
other stuff to get to. Gotsome sound salad coming up as well,
Bud. He's Zach Abrahm, chiefinvestment office for BORG going to join the
program. Talk about the rates they'regoing up, they're going down. I
was talking to Zach a little bityesterday and he's like, why do you
(53:36):
hear what he has to say aboutthe FED chair Jerome Powell? It is?
I was like, are you kiddingme? It is? It's it's
quite shocking. So we'll get well, we'll see if if yesterday what he
told me holds up again today. But I will say this, it's wow,
And where are rates going are weheaded towards that situation that nobody wants
to talk about recession? Talk aboutthat a lot of other stuff. Three
(53:59):
two, three, five, threeeight, twenty four to twenty three at
Chad Benson Show's your Twitter. Itis the Chad Benson Job, The Chad
Benson Show, Independent Thoughts, IndependentLife. This is Chad Benson. It's
(54:31):
about the economy, stupid. We'lltalk about the economy investing in things with
our buddy Zach Abraham coming up ina little bit. But the job numbers
are out today, about one hundredand seventy five thousand. How is that?
That's well below the two hundred andforty thousand positions that economists were predicting,
and about half the number of jobscreated in March. The lower than
(54:52):
expected hiring activity comes two days afterthe Federal Reserve decided to leave interest rates
alone, partly to keep the jobmarket from overheating. Despite the dip in
hiring, the nation's unemployment rate waslittle changed at three point nine percent.
Jim Ran ABC News. Yeah, white collar jobs slowly but surely slowing down.
(55:13):
Skilled labor growing exponentially. We talkedto our tech guy yesterday. Our
technology neared and you know the stuffthat is out there is available that people
you know AI. The whole thoughtof AI coming taking everybody's jobs not happening
today. But while it's going tocreate a lot of jobs, there are
also going to be a lot ofthat mid level white collar jobs that are
(55:36):
going to disappear fast. And you'restarting to see that. Yesterday, I
was talking to a buddy of minewho runs a very large dealership and he
used to have a ton of customerservice people and he's like, we got
rid of them all. Every oneof them went to AI. I go,
how's that going? He goes betterthan better than when we had humans.
(55:57):
Absolutely better. The answer the questions. There's never any problems. They're
never sick, they're never calling outbecause their kids sick, or their boyfriend
broke up with them, or theirgirlfriend broke up with them, or they
don't have any problems because they wantto just have a day off. We
got none of them, and theyanswer questions and they fly through it.
There is going to be a lotof that stuff that's happening, and so
(56:19):
finding something that you're good at thatnot only you're good at, but you
see a future in that's the bigthing. It's like, my problem with
school is they teach to in manycases where we've been, they're not teaching
where we're going. And this guydropped out of college says it wasn't from
him, But I love what hetalks about here about I'll buy the part
(56:39):
of education I need. You've askme why I drops out of college,
and it's not because I think collegeis a scam. It's just like I
personally didn't see how I was goingto use any information, and it's just
not the way I prefer to learn. I was like the classic type A
couldn't pay attention and just fell asleepin class. I was always looking out
the window. Honestly, just wantedto sports. If it works for you,
that's great. It just never madesense to me that, like I
(57:00):
should go into debt to learn abunch of things that aren't going to return
me money, And like it isn'tall about money. It's about learning other
too, But like, if I'mpaying money, I want to get a
return on that money. You know, Yeah, I mean if you're paying
money, especially the kind of moneythat these kids and their parents are paying,
even if you get grants and somehelp there's still a lot of money
(57:21):
going out, and that money followsyou for a long time, and what
are you getting from it? It'sthe big deal. What are you getting
from it? How many people ofyou listening right now, how many of
you have degrees and you working nowherenear the field you got a degree in.
Most of my friends who have degrees, they they're nowhere near what they
went and studied for, and theydid it at a lot cheaper rate than
(57:44):
today. I was. Really I'vealready gotten a better return going and learning
skills because I took my hourly wagefrom twenty eight dollars to one hundred and
fifty dollars in a year. Forme, what's worked better is if I
go and buy a skill like buyinga course, going to a mastermind,
going to a workshop, or goingto a seminar or anything like that,
and then I pay money and getthe skill, just like college. But
the fact that I can go andbuy like specific skills that I really need
(58:05):
to learn, this might be naiveof me. I grew up in America,
in California, I speak English.I'm going to get destroyed in the
comments by the college lovers, butso be it. I'm not trying to
convince anybody to drop out of college. I don't give it. You do
if college works for you, todo it. True. My son and
I have been having a lot ofconversations about this because he's going into high
(58:27):
school and it's all about the collegetrack. And he's like, I'm not
sure I want to do that. And I'm like, let's understand, because
I might want to do something else. I might want to do, you
know, technical stuff. I mightwant to go into a trade. I'm
not sure I want to take thatcollege track. And I'm like, I
get that. And I've advised mykids since they were bored. Jack was
(58:51):
little, I'm like, Dick,a few gap years, figure out what
you want to do. He waslittle, he didn't know, but now
he's starting to get it. Absolutely. My stepdaughter and I were talking about
last night. I said, youknow, she's gonna graduate early, and
she goes, I don't know whatI want to ask. Take a few
years off, go see what's youknow, Get a job, get out
(59:15):
there in life, see what it'sabout. Before you decide to make a
massive commitment with my money, gosee what's out there. I can't believe
you just said that. Yet Ionly do well the things that I can
get super fucking obsessed with, andI only get super obsessed with it if
I love the thing or if Ithink it's gonna give me a return.
So I'm not saying college is rightor wrong. I think you gotta listen
(59:37):
to you. Yeah, what's bestfor you and think about where. Think
about today. If you've got likea fifteen or sixteen year old, where's
the world going and where's it goingto be in ten years? If you'd
asked me ten years ago, Iwould have said coding now, there's no
need. Don't even think about it. It's a waste of time. Simp.
(01:00:00):
I mean AI can do all thatstuff for you. Don't even need
to do any of that stuff. So where is the Where are we going
to be in ten years? Andwith technology moving that's kind of hard to
get a grasp on, But you'vegot to think about that when you're thinking
about the future, especially with kidsin school and jobs. Speaking of school,
Ah, college campus chaos whoa Mississippistudents singing the national anthem star spangled
(01:00:57):
banner to bat the chaos craziness ontheir campus. Let's head over to NYC.
I'm in New York City right now, standing outside of a Palestine protest,
and say, we're gonna asking thesestudents why they are protesting, because
I've seen videos and I don't knowif all these students understand exactly why they
are here or if they're just joiningthe crowd. I want to know if
they actually understand why they are protesting, and see they can give me any
(01:01:17):
good answers, what are you guysout here protesting? For good comment?
Why are you guys out here today? To the organizers, I want to
ask you official statements from the organizersonly in the simplest terms, why are
you guys protesting? Why are youguys protesting today? I don't think it
would be a good idea if whyare you guys protesting just to be a
part of the cause, I'm notthe right person to talk to lot why
(01:01:42):
you guys are protesting? This justsums it up. Why you guys protest?
You know the thing? You know? Uh, so there's that,
So that's why we're doing it,you know, It's just uh, it's
the thing you know we are Ican't say because because it can't I can't

The larper's over there if you can'ttell me why you're protesting, you know,
like I'm still waiting for that guyto go. There's much some chicks
here, and you know, younever know. But the more I look
at the protesters, the more Ithink that guy was right from earlier in
the week. They're just a bunchof losers who are studying stupid things and
(01:02:24):
have never been popular, and thisis their way for the weird, unpopular
people to get together. And yeah, that's that's that's it. This isn't
ending until our demands are met.We are here and willing to accept consequences
until you are willing to fall toour demands. We don't control the contract
instance the way you later out,but it's our money. We are giving
(01:02:46):
you this money, and so ifwe are paying your bills, we are
paying. It is your responsibility, the president Wheeler, it is your responsibility
to figure it out. Oh mygod, that is a bunch of demands
coming from somebody, uh in oneof these groups to the president. President
(01:03:07):
Wheeler, the college. Think aboutthis is a man who's the president of
a university and these people are basicallytelling him, hey, look, we're
your customers, so you can dowhat you were. You're gonna do what
we want or else we we thestudents, have given you our demands.
We have we have organized here togetherand we are not leaving until you figure
(01:03:30):
it out. And I would saywhat I would like to do is to
be able to work with you tobring your concerns to the places where they
can make it in that and youcan do what card with the demands on
it, and you can take itto your people of an Albany, you
can come back here. Okay,I hear what you're saying, and I
also have to say that I wouldrather be is not escalated. So where
(01:03:54):

Show Fighting Truth decay the American Way. Got to our buddy that a RAM
(01:06:19):
chief investment officer were Bowlar Capitol, friend of the show, sponsored the show.
Let's first, right out the gate, we've got to discuss fed say
we're not going to lower rates becausewe're not meeting or achieving our goals,
blah blah blah blah blah. Buthe also pretty much indicated they're not going
to raise any rates. We're kindof just stuck at this place. And
there's that evil word stagflation we're startingto hear again, rise up in its
(01:06:43):
ugly head. That was the mostunbelievable, incredible, mind boggling press FED
press conference I've ever I've ever heard. I'm still trying to digest it,
Honestly. It left me the veryconfused and uneasy feeling. And first and
four most I have never heard.And I didn't think J. Powell was
this kind of guy. I've neverheard of FED president stand up there in
(01:07:08):
front, stand up there on stage, and be as disingenuous and spew as
much bs as he did all along, which is customary. The FED has
always looked at data not on amonth to month basis, but on a
quarter to quarter basis. When itcomes to inflation, inflation is not a
(01:07:30):
level that most people think. Inflationis a rate of change. So when
the inflation rates of five percent, that means prices are going up by five
percent per annum, all right. When inflation goes to zero, that does
not mean that we are back tolevels that we were. I've heard Biden
sit there and go, you know, we're back to levels that we were
prior to the COVID. Okay, well, that just means that prices are
(01:07:53):
thirty percent higher, right, Soif you got the zero percent inflation,
you don't have inflation whipped right. You haven't brought things back in line.
You've stopped the acceleration to the upside. So it's a rate of change metric.
When you're thinking about a rate ofchange metric, looking at out on
a quarter to quarter basis is reallythe only thing that makes sense because you
(01:08:15):
need to be watching how the rateof change is changing. Right. So
for instance, central banks like theFED only responded to inflation on an annual
basis, it could get wildly outof hand. That's why they've never done
it that way. Well, yesterdayhe flips and he starts talking about inflation
looking good on a year over yearbasis, and then we're looking at the
data and going super core inflation, which is inflation minus food, housing,
(01:08:42):
and fuel, is what the federalfirst at. Is supercore. That's their
preferred metric to look at. Okay, well, in one year, that
metric from summer of last year, that super core inflation was down like two
point two. It's now at fivepoint three. It's shot up like a
rocket. Powell is arguing, he'smade making it sound like we're still in
a downslope of inflation, and thisrecent up up pop in inflation is inflation
(01:09:08):
bouncing back and kind of bumping upagainst that down trend line. Right,
that's kind of the way he's presentingit. Well, if you put it
on a chart, inflation isn't bumpingup against the trend line. It's broken
out right, It's way above thetrend line. It looks like it's in
another upswing. So he knows thatthat was complete garbage, complete nonsense.
(01:09:30):
It's a joke. It is acomplete joke. He stood up there and
he said things yesterday that I knowhe knows are not true. And then
and then the most confounding part ofit was him taking rate hikes off the
table. That makes no sense.I was not surprised at the fact they
didn't cut. I was not surprisedthe fact they didn't hike. That's what
(01:09:51):
I thought was appropriate. The facthe took took rate hikes off the table
is an absolute mind bender. Inflationis reaccelerating. Even if you don't plan
on raising rates, you should stillleave it out there as a way to
keep a lid on inflation right,to make the market concerned about it.
(01:10:12):
And I always say that monetary policyis a carrot and a stick, right,
the stick being higher rates, thecaret being lower rates. And you
what central bankers like to do isuse those sticks to try to keep everything
somewhat in the middle of the road. He just broke the stick over his
knee while inflation is ramping again. You know, we're still trying to parse
it out and figure out what inthe world that meant. But I think
(01:10:33):
it points to a couple things.A I think it is much harder to
argue after yesterday's presser that the FEDis not in bed for Biden. The
other thing I think it points tois that the FED is aware of where
we're at, and they are awarethat their two percent inflation target is complete
nonsense, which we've been saying fora year and a half, and that
(01:10:56):
regardless of what they want to do, inflation is going to be here to
stay. It's a mess. It'sa mess. It is an absolute mess.
Don't let your life become a mess. When it comes to retirement.

Independent Life. This is Chad Benson. It's about the jobs, baby,
It's about the employment baby. It'sabout the accountment baby. You see where
we're going. We could talk collegecampus chaos, which we will. We
could talk all kinds of stuff, nature messing you up all of the things.
But it's about employment. It's aboutyour job. It's about working,
(01:13:35):
it's about making money, putting foodon the table, keeping the lights on.
That's what it's about. Job numbersare out into April. Non farm
payrolls expanded much less than expected onehundred and seventy five thousand. We're looking
for a number much closer to twohundred and fifty thousand, and at least
(01:13:56):
up to this point in the rearviewmirror three hundred and three thousand, there
are revisions minus twenty two thousand fora two month span. Now, if
you look at manufacturing, it wentfrom zero to eight thousand, so there
is some improvement. And by theway, that three hundred and three thousand
last month went up three hundred andfifteen thousand, which means last month's three
hundred and fifteen thousand was the bestsince January of twenty three. Then we
(01:14:20):
go to one hundred and seventy fivethousand, which actually is the weakest since
October October of last year. YEA, many people believe in the economy,
world economics. People who look atthis stuff for a living and study the
(01:14:41):
economy not so much trades and retirementin stocks, and but the economy as
a whole. Think that until joblosses start to happen, you can't see
numbers coming down when it comes tointerest. So they're staying steady, as
(01:15:02):
we know. Talked about that lasthour with our buddy Zach from Bulwark.
So jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs, not as much as
expected. They'll revise us, aswe all know because they always do that.
As what are the things that it'salways up, it's never down three
two, three, five, threeeight, twenty four to twenty three at
she had been to shows your Twittertweet at as texted program Bernie Sanders earlier
(01:15:24):
today. Well, in terms ofhis campaign, you know, I am
thinking back and other people are makingthis reference that this may be Biden's Vietnam.
Whoa is it Biden's Vietnam? What'sgoing on in college? The chaos,
the craziness, the lunacy is it? How do people feel about it?
(01:15:45):
Latest polls college campuses are really becomingthe epicenter for the outrage and frustration
over the Israel Hamas war. Butour poll finds that there's no evidence that
younger Americans are viewing this any moredifferently. Than older Americans. What is
clear is that the country deeply dividedover this and perhaps only growing more skeptical
over support for Israel. So ourpoll finds that nearly four and ten Americans
(01:16:08):
I say that the United States aredoing too much to support Israel. That's
up several percentage points since our lastpull. Is it working? Is it?
Is it working? Are they startingto change the tide now? I
mean, if you go and breakdown the numbers and we have here on
(01:16:30):
this show age matters to a certainextent. I mean, that's that's definitely
something, especially you're a younger generationwho has been taught a whole bunch of
different things comparatively to an older generationwho's lived life and we're taught other things.
But when you look at this, most for the most part, even
(01:16:55):
the young support Israel over Hamas, not Palestine. And that's the issue right
there. When you phrase a questionlike this, because Palestine encompasses a lot
of things, including Hamas, ifyou ask the people, do you support
(01:17:18):
Israel's fight against Hamas a terrorist organizationthat perpetrated horrors on October seventh, people
will be like absolutely, well, when you put Palestine in there's the question,
and you talk about women and childrenand innocent people, elderly people that
are dying from starvation or its collateraldamage. Well, that's a whole different
(01:17:41):
story. So do I think thatpeople support Israel? Overwhelmingly? The numbers
say yes. When you ask thequestion, and I think very disingenuously about
Palestine as a whole, you geta much different thing than you would get
answer wise if you were to askdo you support their battle again hamas a
terrorist organization? Yesterday the President ofthe United States was out talking about what's
(01:18:05):
going on in college campus is Finally, as president, I will always defend
free speech and I will always bejust as strong as standing up for the
rule of law. That's my responsibilityto you, the American people, my
obligation to the constitution. Good freespeech is important. And yes, especially
(01:18:28):
the speech that you don't like.Always understand that the speech that you don't
like, and I'm not talking aboutwhere people are threatening to kill other people
things. I'm talking about you disagreewholeheartedly with somebody on an issue, Palestine,
Israel, whatever it is, makesure you protect the other person's speech
(01:18:53):
that they have the right to saythat, because that's what we need to
do is good stewarts of our freedoms. We need to make sure that we
protect other people's rights to have theirviews and opinions, and make sure that
they understand that you too have theright to have views and opinions, which
I think is lost amongst the youthof America. But there comes a point,
(01:19:15):
as he pointed out yesterday, thePresident, and again it was just
it was a simple, few minutespeech, wasn't anything, you know,
he didn't take any questions that therethere comes a point when you cross the
line and you go from free speechto agitator to criminal. There's the right
to protest, but not the rightto cause chaos. People have the right
(01:19:38):
to get an education, the rightto get a degree, the right to
walk across the campus safely without fearof being attacked. Yeah, absolutely,
that should be like number one.And UCLA is a perfect example the other
day of people Jewish students at UCLA. This is the day before it went
(01:20:00):
down, if you will, wherethey weren't allowing Jewish students to get into
certain places, where they weren't allowingJewish students to pass through the quad or
get into certain areas. So that'san issue right there. I think we
can all think about it. Ifit was a transgender persons an LGBTQ plus,
if it was a Hispanic person,if it was a black person not
(01:20:24):
an Asian person, because we allknow that there are already meditations because they're
part of the white supremacy movement. But you see where I'm going with this,
what that would be like they wouldlose their blanking minds and moments like
this, there are always those whorush in to score political points. But
this isn't a moment for politics. It's a moment for clarity. So let
(01:20:45):
me be clear. Peaceful protest inAmerica. Violent protest is not protected.
Peaceful protest is there you go,not well said, but eventually said,
well, peaceful protest, absolutely, peaceful protest, violent protests, no,
(01:21:08):
No, I think we can allagree on that, can we? Is
that something? The problem is iswith the quote unquote peaceful protesters mostly peaceful
when things go sideways, and thisis what they count on. They count
on things going sideways and then provokingsomething and catching it on camera to say,
(01:21:31):
look, we've been victims. Becausetheir goal and whole golden life is
to be a victim. That's it. This group of people's whole life in
their identity is wrapped around victimhood, oppressor versus oppressed. We'll talk about that.

Head over to YAHOOOOOOO. Blue rockthrush, which is a bird was
seen on an Oregon beach. Soif you have a house around there,
chances are now they're gonna declare it'sthe blue rock thrush because it's an endangered
(01:25:29):
species home and you could never doanything ever again to it. If you
haven't heard the stories of somebody, you'll spot a bird that maybe had flown
for hours. It's like, I'mtired, I'm gonna sit here for a
minute, and then somebody like,oh my god, and then they'll take
a picture of it, and thenthey'll go and they'll say this bird landed
here, and you're like, andand this bird's super endangered. So now
(01:25:53):
that we know it lives here, you can't do anything to your property.
So that's why they always say,if you see something like that, to

Britney spears Israel. Houston weathers xenophobic, xenophobic xenophom. Biden labels Japan and
(01:26:57):
India xenophobic along with China. Says, look at all the great stuff we're
doing over here of allowing people here, and you guys are aren't doing the
same. And they're like, andno, we're not. It's not who
we are. By the way,Japan is the There is zero PC about
Japan, which I think is great. You know, we hear Disneyland,
(01:27:20):
so let's have some fun with Japan. Disneyland. You know, they got
rid of, you know, severalof what they call problematic rides. They
changed stuff up, you know, and they did all this zippity do dial.
They got rid of all of thesethings and then went Japan, the
Disney over there, and they said, Okay, you guys are gonna do
(01:27:40):
this here. And they're like,no, not, that's a you problem.
That is not an US problem.Okay, I don't think so.
And Bert flu also trending Magical Worldof Google three two, three, five,
three, eight, twenty four twentythree at Chad Benson show to your
Twitter, your Instagram, all ofthe other stuff. I just find it
funny that you know, we worryabout how will we look, how will
(01:28:05):
we look in the situation it's itsPC, And you've got other countries who
are just like, no, youknow, and we are the most you
know for un PC. For allthe evil that we are. There is
no other place on Earth, Imean, no other place on Earth that
has what we have. Zero placeson Earth. You can go anywhere else.
(01:28:28):
Nobody has the diversity that we have. Nobody even comes close to having
the mixture of cultures and all kindsthat were not even close. And then
we get mad at other countries becausethey don't have we have. But they
look around and they say, yeah, but also look what's happening with your
country people. And it's funny becauseso many people come here and the goal
(01:28:49):
is the American dream. And we'vegot this new world in America where we're
like, no, no, no, the American Dream's dad. You bring
all the stuff here that you wantto do, and then we'll mix it
all together and see how that doesn'twork. The reason people come here is
because of the American dream, becauseof what America offers the beacon of hope.
(01:29:09):
Right they come here, they say, you can start with nothing to
become just about anything you've ever dreamedof, and we're trying to take that
away from people. We're trying torob that of people saying no, no,
let us get you the equity. You keep doing what you do,
which is ridiculous. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty

you support them? Do you notsupport them? And that's why these anti

are out there for the right reasonsto protest US continued military aid and money
to a right wing extremist net YAOgovernment. Bernie Sanders there, we'll talk
a bit more about that, becauselet me tell you what he got wrong
(01:30:16):
about why they're out there protesting, and again it has very little to do

This is Chad Benson. There area lot of stories we didn't get to
this week, and some we did, and the ones we miss, well,
they're important and we want to makesure we get to those stories,
even if it's for a few seconds, because some of them hilarious and some
of them are very very serious. This not so much. Eight hundred and
fifty three million people fly on USairlines every year. I surveyed thousands of
(01:31:26):
travelers, and over eighty six percentof them believe the airline industry is not
plus size friendly. This has tochange. In twenty twenty three, I
initiated a petition demanding that air travelbecome more inclusive. Over thirty five thousand
people have signed it. The fightis far from over. Since launching the
petition, it's become even more clearthat society unfairly believes plus size individuals shouldn't
(01:31:48):
travel comfortably. However, this onlyfuels my determination to fight for inclusive travel.
Plus size individuals won't be deterred, and I'm committed to advocating for change
until it's a chief Travel is foreverybody and nobody should be discriminated against.
Sign a petition at change dot org. I'm gonna pass on that. And
(01:32:10):
I go back to this when itcomes to the inclusivity and remember young or
very much into the body positivity thingand pointing this out. And part of
that goes back to what we're seeingon college campuses, which is the oppressor
and the oppress the lens of whichthey see everything in. And right now,
if you're three hundred and fifty poundsand you can't get into a seat,
(01:32:31):
you've been oppressed. Not at thetable of snacks, but in other
places. Oh geez, Chad, how about some gender fun? Yes,
who had another gender adventure this week? So my mom was really mad at
me. And normally when my mom'smad at me, she'll always use my
(01:32:53):
dead name or she'll be like heshe whatever you are your name. And
by the first time ever she calledme by my preferred name, I was
shuk. Oh, my god,how proud? How excited are you?
Your preferred name? Like, mymom never does that. Like I cannot
(01:33:16):
believe that she used my preferred nameand like just respected my identity while she
was mad. Like, no matterhow someone is feeling, they should always
respect someone's identity. But because it'smy mom, it's been a little harder.
Like every time she's been angry andmisgendered me, I have always corrected
her, even when she's angry andwants to bite my head off, and
(01:33:36):
that just makes her more angry. It can be really hard to stick up
for yourself, especially in those moments. But having her used my right name
when she was angry at me wasworth it. Oh that's glad. I'm
glad. Everything's better now. Bythe way, mom wants you to move
out of her house, which sheknows probably won't happen for a long while.
(01:33:57):
Imagine this if you will. Yougot a youngster, a toddler,
and behind the toddler's wall are realmonsters. What do you do when your
kid tells you there's a monster intheir closet? Do you assure them,
maybe sit with them while they fallasleep? Well, perhaps you should be
investigating. This week, Chris andAshley Class from Charlotte, North Carolina told
(01:34:19):
Good Morning America how lately their threeyear old daughter has been really enjoying the
movie Monsters. Inc Hey, thatlooks like Randall. Randall's your monster.
She would say, Mama, Dad, Dad, there's monsters in my room,
you know, like almost almost shakingin fear. They tried to talk
her down, but the complaints didn'tsubside. By the time winter turned into
(01:34:40):
spring, they started to notice somethingwas going on in their century old farmhouse.
So wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, monsters, are
you being serious? Because you knowmy excitement of all these kind of things.
Monsters kind of and for many ofus, a nightmare even worse than
a monster. We noticed a coupleof bees when we were outside playing with
the kids. Interprofessional beekeeper Curtis Collins. A beehive creates a lot of heat,
(01:35:03):
so it shows up on a thermalcamera. Really well. He goes
into the house with a heat seekingcamera and doesn't find anything until he tries
the bedroom, and sure enough,we went into the toddler's room and very
quickly got a heat signature on thewall. This honeycomb stretched the entire height
of the room floor to ceiling. That's the nightmare. Monster bees behind the
(01:35:26):
wall, lots of them. Thewall itself had become a monstrous vibrating beehive.
Based on the weight of the beesthat I removed, I would say
I'd probably removed somewhere between fifty andsixty thousand bees. And this week,
these honey bees are still being removedfrom their house. The daughter is sleeping
in a different room, and Ashleysays, it's proof that your kid is
(01:35:49):
never too young to be taken seriously, and that if you hear a monster
honey, say something, Yes,say something. That's for a lot of
people. If you're allergic, obviouslyit's super terrifying. But even if you're
not fifty thousand, this is notsome small thing. Any of the baseball
game this week where at the Diamondbacksgame they had to call it a beekeeper.
(01:36:11):
In the middle of game, theyhad to stop the game because they
had set up behind home plate onthe fence, which apparently nobody saw the
cage to keep the ball from flyingin and killing somebody in the crowd.
Oh my lord, what a week. Shall we continue? An enormous massive
seaweed has grown to a staggering sizein the Atlantic Ocean, raising concerns from
(01:36:33):
scientists. The searchers say this year'sbloom of sarcasm seaweed is much larger than
previous seasons, and it's roughly twicethe width of the continental US scientists are
worried about the environmental and health impactas the seaweed invades coastal ecosystems and covers
(01:36:54):
beaches in the Caribbean and Gulf ofMexico. Did you call it sarcasm seaweed?
Yeah? Duh. Started early,it doubled in size between December and
January and was larger in January thanit has ever been since this new region
of sargas and growth began in twentyeleven. So this is an entirely new
(01:37:16):
oceanographic phenomenon creating such a problem, really a catastrophic problem for tourism in the
Caribbean region where it piles up onbeaches up to five or six feet deep.
Terrorism. So wait, is thisamas? Is this it hamasweed?
Think it's huge? Oh, Michael, let's finish this off. We need
(01:37:38):
to know now what can happen? What do we do in Barbados? Just
last week, they reported they needsixteen hundred dump trucks a day to clean
the beaches of this seaweed. Itcomes in in such large quantities that it
basically sucks the oxygen out of thewater and creates what we referred to as
(01:37:58):
dead zones. Once they're devoid ofoxygen, we have lost that habitat.
Yeah, we can't have that.We can't. They're oppressing all of the
things in there. Speaking of oppression, this is a Duke University, a
New York Times columnist talking about what'sgoing on in college campuses and the things
(01:38:19):
that we've talked about for a quitea long time on what this is really
about. You teach on a collegecampus, you teach at university. You're
a professor to a university. Asa college professor, you know a lot
of college students in this generation. As a sort of paradigm they use or
a lens they use to kind ofevaluate the world, and it's one in
(01:38:39):
which people who have less money, people who have less power. Sometimes people
who have darker skin must inherently bebeing wronged and must there and are therefore
most likely to be in the rightoppressor oppressed, oppressor, oppressed that's how
they look at every single thing.Underdog, always right, morally superior,
(01:39:02):
and anybody who is quote unquote theoverdog has got there through evil means.
So they're predisposed to take the sideof what they deemed the little guy based
on those paradigms they are. AndI think you see, I think you
saw that play out after October seventh, Listen. I mean, there's obviously
a righteous case to be made forPalestinians deserving our attention, our empathy,
(01:39:24):
are our activism, et cetera. But if you looked at what happened right
after October seventh, you saw alot of young people not even take a
moment to really acknowledge what had happenedin Israel and how horrific that was.
They just kind of immediately applied thisparadigm and began advocating not just for Palestinians,
(01:39:46):
but in a perverse way at timesfor Hamas oppressor, oppressed and Hamas
is freedom fighters. They're not terrorists. That's why when you hear us talk
about the gender in sanity and whatgoes on with you know, inclusivity and
fat positive and all this stuff,it's always about somebody being the oppressor against
(01:40:11):

every week, we like to takea slow, yet enjoyable music and sound
(01:41:24):
look back at the chaos, crazinessand the fun of the week. Thank
god it's finally Friday. Do youwant students to die of dehydration and starvation
or get severely ill even if theydisagree with you? If the answer is
no, then you should allow basicI mean, it's crazy to say because
we're on an Ivy League campus, but this is like basic humanitarian aid we're
(01:41:45):
asking for, like could people pleasehave a glass of water? I'm not
a hundred dollars. I know whatI'll say it. Barger's burning al through
my Boggeting and Masha come on themorning. I'll be bron. It's fine,
(01:42:06):
I'm my motor It's fine, you'rea mires. We don't like white
people, free pals, we don'tlike white people. My no idea.
(01:42:28):
He was a terrorists. That wasnot part of what I was faed growing
up as Obama Kan. It's fine. Time, I'm my motoring. It's
fine. You want to be anapologist for Donald Trump, that's that may
(01:42:51):
be your role, but it ain'tmine. Just time. Next year,
I might not be sitting here.It might not be a white house course
fun, it's dinner or free press. This is the result of the extreme
left and PC crap and people worryingso much about offending other people they slowly
(01:43:15):
unity. I can't be VP now. You can't shoot your dog and then
be VP, so I important tosprints right back hack them. I see
that we're doing a horror strike andwe're the recutting and we're protesting. But
(01:43:35):
what if we also did a birthingstrike. Americans are nervous, increasingly nervous
about AI. The Republicans in theUnited States are a minority party. They
only represent about thirty five percent ofthe population. Well lesson teaching this the
children of today. In this case, gen z that we will we will
tease you, we will beat you, we will club you. This goes
(01:43:58):
back in decades and the world hereis indulgence, indulgence to the children's wildest
ideas. The propiles ten people areactually worse than the b online people were,
which I didn't even know that thatwas possible. I love that you
guys are worse than the other peoplethat were awful as well. Some of
the sounds from the week. Hopeyou enjoyed that. It is the first
(01:44:21):
Saturday in May. Tomorrow Kentucky Derby, one hundred and fifth running of the
Roses. What would it be liketo be the person that gets to call
this? They're coming to the finalsixteenth and it's Justify and good Magic and
audible Justifying a two length fleet finaltry from good Magic. All right for
(01:44:45):
Justify. The Kentucky Derby was neverin doubt. When's by two and a
half, how cool would that be? Well, this guy by the name
of Travis Stone, he gets tocall the race and it's the one hundred
and fiftieth this year. The BoaChurch on the top floor, which is
about six or seven floors up,so it is certainly one of the highest
booths in North America. I've gotwall to wall windows piling into floor windows.
(01:45:09):
I can see the entire track. The finish line comes right below us.
It's the greatest view in sports.Call a race like the Derby.
The preparation is extensive. Any otherrace throughout the year, you spend ten
twelve minutes. They come on thetrack, you put them in your brain.
You probably look at them in themorning. Make sure you have the
names downright, the derby is entirelydifferent, beast. So I started watching
replays on these horses about five weeksago. I have a binder where I
(01:45:31):
have a page of notes for everysingle horse, and then as I work
on stuff, I add more pagesto it. I want to know every
little detail. I bet you do. I mean, this is it,
like, because you think there's somebodythat calls that, right, they're up
there, they're looking through the binoculars. Because these tracks are a mile and
a quarter a mile and a half, it's you have to but this is
(01:45:56):
it, right, Like, thereis nothing else calling these races at the
track for television audience. It's thejam. Getting to call the derby for
what I and my fellow race collegedo. It's like the pinnacle of our
craft. Take it very seriously. It's a privilege. Don't take it lightly.
I've had the privilege to call alot of racetracks, and it's always
like, oh, yeah, whatdo you call? I have a call
(01:46:17):
racism, losing call races in NewYork whatever. But when you say you
call races a Churchill down to,everybody's eyebrows go up. So that's pretty
cool. That's travistone. He's theguy that'll be calling tomorrow one hundred and
fiftieth. So what do we havehere? Who is the favorites? Sierra
leone three to one. One ofthe favorites, the ones that I'm hearing
(01:46:38):
about though, Fierceness, which isfive to two, and a Japanese horse
called Forever Young, which is tento one. But everybody's undefeated, and
everybody thinks this is the horse thatis going to win the race. We
shall see one hundred and fiftieth runningfor the roses tomorrow, which brings us
to this. It's that time ofthe show when we give you a information
(01:47:00):
that, quite frankly, is stupid, and then I go and spoil it
all. I say something stupid. We'll take stupid pills this morning. It's
the honest ones you want to watchout full because you can never predict they're
gonna do something incredibly stupid. Nowyou're the fat, stupid one with the
big mouth. Is stupid, littlelast try. You should never underestimize the
(01:47:23):
predictability of stupidity. Now it's timefall stupid information. Well, let's keep
it with the Kentucky Derby. Areyou guys ready for this nineteen. Past
winners have had names that begin withthe letter S, including Secretariat. Tomorrow's
winner will get the most money ever, up two million dollars from last year.
(01:47:46):
Three million bucks is what the winnerwill get, but that is nothing
compared to stud fees, which aremassive, live fall big stud fees,
they make tens of millions of dollars. It's not about the race, it's
about the love and afterwards. Theamount of food consumed that the Kentucky Derby
(01:48:08):
is pretty astounding. On average, spectators will lead one hundred and forty two
thousand hot dogs, eighteen thousand barbecuesandwiches, thirteen thousand, eight hundred pounds
of beef, thirty two thousand, four hundred jumbo shrimp, nine thousand scalps,
eight thousand pounds of potatoes, thirtythousand cookies, and three hundred thousand
strawberries, and of course the drinkminchulip. About one hundred and twenty thousand
(01:48:30):
will be consumed tomorrow. They calledthe Run for the Roses because the winners
awarded a blanket sewn with over fourhundred roses post race, and it weighs
about forty only three phillies. That'sfemale horses have ever won the Derby,
Regrets in nineteen fifteen, Genuine Riskin eighty and winning Colors in eighty eight.
(01:48:50):
The fastest time in history still heldby Secretariat nineteen seventy three, one
minute fifty nine seconds. It's neverbeen broken. The slowest time eighteen ninety
one, two minutes and fifty twoseconds, a minute difference. Some silly
information you have learned about the KentuckyDerby one hundred and fiftieth running for the
(01:49:10):
Roses tomorrow. Solid fun show today. As always, you guys have a
blessed weekend. We will do itagain on Monday. As always, Night
night Jack. This is the ChadBenson Show.
