(00:10):
Independent thoughts, independent life. Thisis Chad Benson, as the Great Mills
Lane would say, boxing referee.Let's get it out. The debates are
gonna happen. What Yes, twoelderly men will enter and they'll probably leave

(00:32):
slowly. It's not very nice,Chad. I'm just saying we're gonna have
a couple of debates, the firston June twenty seventh, hosted by CNN,
before either candidate is declared the officialnominee at their party's convention, and
the second on September tenth, hostedby ABC News, just weeks before voters
head to the polls. There willbe no live audience, just the moderators

(00:53):
and the candidates themselves in a televisionstudio, face to face, no live
audience, zero, non nana, not happen. What that helps Biden.
I do think that Biden folks gota huge concession of no live audience.

(01:15):
I think that helps Joe Biden tremendously, and I think it hurts Donald Trump
equally as much as it helps JoeBiden, because Donald Trump feeds off the
audience, and it's going to bea much more serious, measured debate where
Donald Trump can't just pop off andget a response from the audience. It
won't be an audience. So Ithink he's going to have to change his
manner. Can he do that?I think it'll be great, and I
think the American public, I thinkwe could have the biggest audience ever,

(01:38):
the biggest audience ever. By theway, the biggest audience so far to
watch any of these was Hillary v. Trump twenty sixteen. Oh my god,
what an audience that was. Now, this is super early, and
it might have to be extra early. And I'm talking about the daytime because
one of them has an issue doinganything past noon. Is that a shot

(01:59):
at you know him, Biden. There's usually not a debate until September.
In fact, the first one thatwas scheduled by the Commission on Presidential Debates
was slated for the middle of September. That's normal presidential debate election season,
right after the conventions have been heldand we go into the last few months
before the election, the last fewmonths before the election. Yes, it's

(02:24):
interesting. I'm going to play yousomething from Ronald Reagan. I don't know
if you guys know who he wasas a president, and I want you
to listen just to the beginning ofthis, because this is how early this
is happening comparatively to debates we've hadin the past, and listen to what
he says about this debate, andthen comparatively to when you're going to go

(02:49):
vote. Next Tuesday is election day. Next Tuesday is election day. That's
a debate that they had nineteen eighty. This one's like, look, in
twelve months, you guys are gonnago vote. We don't know what we're
gonna We may not be here, but vote for us. Oh my lord,
it's gonna be interesting. It's nodoubt Trump yesterday because here's one of

(03:10):
the things I've been saying for awhile. I'll believe it when I see
it. I was talking to answerme Jim Garretty of the National Review and
play some of the stuff. I'mdoing a podcast this week called three Martini
Lunch fillin in Fromody Great Corumbus andJim writes for the National Review Big Muckety
muck in DC. But one ofthe things we were talking about is,

(03:31):
you know, you know, wewe knew when it was happening. We
knew what was going on. Wewere hearing the dates, the whole nine
yards. But it's I'll believe itwhen I see it feeling, because it's
like one of those boxing matches thatis that's supposed to take place between so
and so and such and such, and it seems like, oh, it's
gonna be yeah, is it reallyuntil that bell rings? Till that first

(03:54):
questions asked, I'll believe when Isee it. Oh, absolutely, I've
been trying to get you know,he's issuing it. I wonder whether or
not he shows up, because youknow, he also challenges me to golf,
so I'm a very good golfer.He can't hit a ball fifty yards,
he said, I'll give him threeaside, but he knows he'll never
play. This is sort of likethat, I think, but I hope

(04:15):
not, because I really think hehas the debate. He might as well
get it over with. Probably shoulddo it early so that he can.
You know, he's not going toget any better. He's right, both
of them. I mean, Ijoke side. You know the age thing.
It's hard not to and we cansit here and talk all day about

(04:35):
well, you know, Trump slipsa little bit. He's seventy what seventy
seven, it's two hours. Hegoes from courtroom to two hour and we'll
talk about the court room issue herein a minute, anyways, which I
think is really important to talk about. And the fact that the joking about
the courtroom issue to me is notonly distasteful, you know by and talking

(05:00):
about that in the video that hereleased yesterday. Donald Trump lost two debates
to me in twenty twenty centsidy. He hadn't shown up for debate. Now
he's acting like he wants to debateme again. Will make my day,
Pal, I'll even do it twice. So let's pick the dace. Donald,
I hear you're free on Wednesdays. That joke right there. You think
about it. You are the incumbent, you're the president of the United States,

(05:23):
the person that you're running against, the leader so far in the clubhouse,
And this is all happening before theyeven go to the UH And I
think there's a plan for that beforethey even go to the conventions, which
is people aren't paying attention to.But the fact that you're joking about your
free on Wednesdays? Are you efing kidding me for a second. We're
going to get deeper into this, but you are joking about your political opponent

(05:46):
having to go to court because Democraticprosecutors on the local level are trying to
turn certain things into federal crimes.Alvin Bragg, and you've got the DOJ,
your DOJ going after trumpet everything isarriving on election year. How does
that look. We'll go deeper tothat. And the reason I think they're

(06:09):
doing it early, and they're pushingfor it early, not just for early
voting, because there's still be timeif either of them stumble bad, especially
because I don't think Trump may beloud, and he may be contankerous,
and he may do all the thingsthat frustrate you reinterrupted your hundred and forty

(06:31):
eight times. But if Biden goesout there and he falters and it looks
like a deer in the headlights, let because he's the one calling the dates,
there's a reason, and the reasonis simple. There's time to replace
him. Oh yeah, time toreplace him before the convention. Afterwards,

(06:57):
well, that ship would have sailed, but at least you have an understanding
of what you're dealing with at thatpoint in time. Let's just say both
of them go out there and it'sboring and it's you know, they go
back and forth, but you're goingto okay, fine, we're moving on.
And this is more about Biden thanTrump, because I don't think the
Republicans are even thinking about replacing himat this I mean, he would have
to do something so outrageous or havean incident, which I don't think is

(07:21):
going to happen, because I thinkthe energy level and the way he acts
is you know, I mean, you debate the way he acts, but
you know, you get in frontof two one hundred thousand people for two
hours and you do your thing, and you add lib and riff, I
think you're going to be fine. But if something was to happen to Biden

(07:41):
and he was a deer in theheadlights and he looked like he many people
think he looks like all the time, and he's exposed, you have time
to replace him. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty
four to twenty three actch Had Bensonshows your Twitter tweet at his text to
program. What will be some ofthe big things they're talking about? Simple
inflation. Number one. Consumer pricesin April were three point four percent higher

(08:03):
compared to the same time last year. That's a slight improvement from the three
point five percent increase we saw inMarch, and so called core inflation,
which removes volatile food and gas prices, was up by the smallest amount in
three years. The other good newswages are rising faster than inflation. I
don't know if people are feeling that. You can talk about that all day,

(08:26):
all the time, but people stillaren't feeling that. And remember,
it is the rate of inflation. It is not inflation in itself, is
do know. It's the rate ofinflation. So we wanted to grow at
you know, the dream is twopercent for whatever that means. At this
point in time, it's still growingat three point four percent, but the
year before is growing at five pointeight percent. It's like saying, hey,

(08:52):
you know, I kick you inthe grundle every day ten times.
Good news. I'm only gonna doit eight times today. I don't want
you kick me in the at all. I get it. So and then,
of course, you know my favoritething is I always take out all
the stuff. If we take outeverything that makes your life miserable, like
fuel and rent and food, wellit looks great. Oh excuse me,

(09:20):
wait, We're gonna have more onthis as long as as long as inflation
is the way it is. Itis gonna be the number one topic.
It is gonna be the number oneissue because we all participate in this world
called the economy. Whether you're richor poor, gay or straight, black
or white, Muslim, Hindu,Christian, Baptist, non denominational, Atheist,

(09:46):
Republican, Democrat, we participate inthe economy and we feel it.
Three two, three, five, four, twenty three Atch had Benson Show,
is your Twitter? A lot ofstuff still to get to Robney.
Something very interesting he said about whatBiden should have done. We'll touch on
and that a lot of other goodstuff. Harrison Buckner, the Kicker said
some stuff that angered some people andnow he's getting plowback from it. Roughgreens

Cover the cost of shipping. Roughgreensdot com slash ched areu ffgreens dot
com, slash Chadroughgreens dot com slashChad. Oh baby, it's a Chad
Benson show. You're listening to theChad Benson Show. President Biden set a

(11:24):
trap for Donald Trump, and DonaldTrump fell right into it. And because
President Biden was able to outsmart DonaldTrump throughout the whole negotiation, the debates
are going to be held under theterms that President Biden wants and there are
three very June twenty seventh. Thiswill come right off the heels of the
hush money trial. Win or lose. Donald Trump is going to be focused

(11:46):
on that trial instead of the issuesthat are being discussed during the debate.
He has just been outsmarted by PresidentBiden and I'm here for it. Yeah,
no wrong. And by the way, uh, it's a great It's
the Dispatch. It's David French. If you guys don't know what dispatches you
guys should get, it's great. It's a podcast out there, a bunch
of muckety MUCKs. There's several ofthem. And I've heard several different people

(12:09):
bring this up when they talk toyou know, because the joke about the
debate is you know, oh,I hear you're free on Wednesdays. But
several people have brought up something. And I was talking to my wife about
this last night and she's like,I didn't think of that, but if
that happened. And one of thethings they brought up is and you have

(12:31):
to show that this was the haddAn effect. Donald Trump is convicted of
this BS in New York, heappeals it. Peel comes in hearing comes
after the election, but based onthe conviction, he loses support, then
loses a close election. Then afterwardsthe appeals court goes, this is BS,

(12:52):
this should never have been and theythrow it out. So the joke
about Wednesday and all this stuff,it shows me and I shows a lot
of people. Yes, sir,I heard several people say, look,
we consid here and talk about Trumpdid that. This kind of stuff makes
it feel like it's lawfair. Couldyou imagine if there is a loss in

(13:16):
the close election and it shows andthey and again you have to be able
to show it through you know, going out, I guess Q and A
people say well, I thought thathe did these things, so I didn't
vote for him because I can't votefor a fella and blah blah blah blah,
and then they throw it out, come to find out that should never
have happened. How would you feelthe damage that not only would be done
would be huge, but the damagefor the Democrats would be massive. I

(13:39):
think in ways that is. Imean, you got to think about this
for a second. Using DOJ localdemocratic prosecutors to go after a president or
a former president during an election time, what would that be like and how
are you going to feel if you'reon the left saying I'm glad they got

(14:01):
him, when it happens to yourcandidate and we've turned this into something insane,
What do you think people are gonnathink? Then the trust in our
election system. We worry about Russiaand Iran and China, but the fact
is is being able to weaponize thelaw if you will, and lawfairs Jonathan

(14:22):
Turley put it, and then cometo find out this thing gets thrown out
afterwards and should never have been. But the damage has already done, so
it's too late and it doesn't matter. It's like a sporting thing. How
many times have you seen an appealin sports like we're gonna appeal this,
knowing full well that they're never gonnaoverturn that. So the damage was done
and you may get an apology oroh my god, that was not a

(14:43):
good look, or whatever it is, but the damage was done. And
in time now where all anybody caresabout is winning, to the point of
I'll do anything and become the thingI swear that I'm fighting against. That
is not good. Mitt Romney broughtup something very interesting, something I said

(15:03):
should have happened from day one withPresident Biden. I think President Biden made
an enormous error. He should havefought like crazy to keep this prosecution from
going forward. It was a winwin for Donald Trump. If Donald Trump
is exonerated, is that Joe Biden'sjob? Or is that the I've been
around for a while. If LBJhad been president and he didn't want something

(15:24):
like this to happen, he'd havebeen all over that prosecutor saying you better
not bring that forward or I'm goingto drive you out of office. But
I'm pretty sure you support having separatebut equal branches of government. I do.
But I also had I been PresidentBiden when the Justice Department brought out
indictments, I would have immediately pardonedhim. I'd a pardon President Trump.
Yeah, very interesting. Why isthat? Because I mean you could talk

(15:46):
about the win win for you know, let's see how this thing shakes itself
out. Like I said that, the scenary are brought ups kind of oh
my god. But the win win, it's the look, remember what happened
right with Nixon and immediately for it'slike we got to just get past this
because you have the temperature rise. You don't need some of these things and

(16:11):
the ridiculousness and the look of itall. And like I said, here
we are four years removed pretty muchfrom the last election, and now everything's
getting to court. People. Youwonder how conspiracies start, how people feel
the way they do? Oh?Why oh, because it makes me President
Biden, the big guy and theperson I pardoned a little guy. Partially

(16:33):
true, partially just getting past this. But now what's happened is and just
with that joke yesterday I heard yourfree on Wednesdays, how do you think
that lands for people going? Wow, you you really are using these these
systems here to go after your politicalopponent. You want to talk about it?
Banana Republic? Whooah, it feelsvery Banana three two, three,

(16:56):
five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson's show,
is Your Twitter tweet atus texted program? A lot of stuff still to get
to today, some insanity, somefun stuff. What is Peru doing?
We're gonna talk about that because ourfavorite shim that is uh, part woman,
part man playing a part. DiylanMulvaney's in Peru and yesterday Peru announced

(17:17):
something about the trans folk and boy, I don't think shim's gonna like that.
A lot of other stuff to getto as well, including Mayor Adams
talking about how great these people thathave come here from other country are.
That's swimmy. It's a Chad Bensonshow. Such Chad Benson Show, independent

(18:00):
thoughts, independent life. This isChad Benson. President Biden challenged former President
Trump to two debates, and Trumpaccepted. Trump agreed to the debate.
He said, I'll be there, assuming it's okay with my parole officer.
The first debate will be next month, which is the earliest presidential debate has
ever been, and if we're beinghonest, an early bird debate feels right

(18:22):
for these guys. Yeah, Bidenand Trump will meet June twenty seventh on
CNN, and one of Biden's debateconditions was not having an audience, So
that explains why it's on Cnno JimmyFallon driving the stakes through the heart of
CNN, so ABC's can host one, cnn'll host another. No live studio

(18:48):
audiences. There's gonna be a bunchof dead people. Here are the rules,
but we're still waiting to learn someof the other details about what exactly
this campaign will look like I willsay, my colleague, I'm Jaylee,
and I have heard from two bycampaign sources who said that they had accepted
an invitation for a debate that willtake place in studio at CNN's Atlanta offices.

(19:10):
But we will see one of thedetails of this debate a bit earlier
today. Former President Trump, forinstance, told Fox News in a radio
interview that he would be interested ina two hour debates that involved podiums.
The Biden campaign has also set outvery specific details about what they want to
see. For instance, the microphonescan only be on when each candidate is

(19:33):
expected to speak, potentially eliminating someof that very intense back and forth that
we saw in the very first debatebetween Biden and Trump back in twenty twenty.
You know what I'd like to seenot podiums. Make it a living
room, people walking around. Maybelike, okay, you choose your favorite
living room from your favorite sitcom, and I'll choose mine. Trump will pick

(19:56):
a boardroom. Obviously, Biden gogoing back. You know Norman Lear kind
of day is one of those thingswhere everybody's around the radio listening intently to
whatever radio show is playing at thetime. I don't think that's the way
it's going to be. So nolive studio audience, which is I'm okay
with that. I got no problemwith that. But I continue to say

(20:19):
the reason they're doing it, andit is early. There's usually not a
debate until September. In fact, the first one that was scheduled by the
Commission on Presidential Debates was slated forthe middle of September. That's normal presidential
debate election season, right after theconventions have been held and we go into
the last few months before the election. I can contend that the big reason

(20:44):
they've they've chosen it isn't because ofearly voting, which is it's something new.
We've played something earlier from Reagan. And you know, when we think
about debates and Tinua and how weend the show, we give you a
bunch of stupid information. It's goingto be about debates. But listen to
Reagan back in nineteen eighty. Thisis the timing of the debate. Think
about this for a second. Whenhe says we're gonna go vote. Next

(21:07):
Tuesday is election day. Next Tuesdayis election day. We're like, they're
gonna come up. They're like, look in three hundred and twelve days,
you guys are gonna have a chanceto vote. It's not that far A
chat feels like it. But mycontention is, especially on the Democratic side,
some of you will disagree. Someof you will go, oh,
you know what. Even people whoare Democrats, because I've talked about this,

(21:30):
have said, you know, that'syou might be righting this. My
contention is, if Biden Jack's thepooch, it's before the convention, you
have time to save yourself. Ohyeah, I see. And of course
then there's Donald Trump. How darethey let him be on the debate stage?
As you were saying, yeah,no, I think that's right.

(21:52):
That's an idea. Do you sortof elevate Trump? Do you give a
platform to his many many allies abouteverything by debating him? But I,
you know, to Jeff's boyt,he is the incoming president and he's got
it right. I asked an eightabout that. Yeah, like, isn't
this risky? They're like, look, not debating is even riskier because it
looks like he's hiding out, lookslike he's not up to it. And

(22:12):
again, the president, I'm toldand I believe I don't think this is
spent. He wants to debate,he's competitive, he wants to show that
he's better. But they think notdebating is worse than showing up and having
some type of a melee. Theywant a melee, they want if I
am. And we've got some stuffto play a little bit later from Jim
Garrity. He's from the National Review. We had him. I'm doing a

(22:33):
podcast with him this week. Andthe when I hear them say, well,
not debates risky, Well why isit risky? That's the question of
would asked? Is it risky?Because if you don't debate, looks like
you're hide Oh yeah, but therisk of not debating and and and you
know, and the risk of debating, well, the risk debating is you're

(22:56):
exposed. And they're not worried aboutwhether or not Trump comes across and lands
some blows here or there. Youknow what they're worried about. They're worried
about the look. Nineteen sixty wasthe first debate and that changed everything.
You look over and you see Kennedyand handsome lad. Yeah it's cause from

(23:17):
Howden whatnot? Bah yad the wholeAnd then you see a guy that looks
like a villain and Nixon because hedid he looked like a cartoon villain.
And the sweat, and there isa look if he looks like he's a
deer in headlights and he fumbles.Because it's so early, you have time

(23:38):
to change course if this happened afterwards. No, you don't have time to
change course. They want a melee. They want the craziness, the chaos,
the screaming, the yelling, theywant all of that stuff. Nancy
Pelosi, I myself never recommend goingon the stage with Donald Trump, but

(24:03):
the president has decided that's what hewants to do. I think the format
he is suggesting is a good one. I think you all should have separate
town hall meetings with them and letthem challenge them with questions about the future
and let the public make its decision. I like the town hall thing.
I would like to see fifty percentRepublican, fifty percent you know, or

(24:26):
thirty percent Republican, forty percent independent, thirty percent Democrat, some questions that
have invented for real, not somewacky questions, somebody screaming, some wacky
and we know adults in the room. If you're going to have this,
no clapping if you clap, you'reout. If you cheer, you're out.
If you hits, you're out.And we'll clear the room in the

(24:47):
second and maybe do forty minute townhalls and then finish it up with an
hour debate. I something like thatto I mean, I'm good with because
I think you learn more from atown hall, and maybe the town halls
are this. We're going to bringin only Democrats to challenge Trump. We're

(25:08):
going to bring in only Republicans tochallenge Biden. If you were going to
do something like that in the townhall, rather than just people coming up
and just you know, fawning,I don't want that. That doesn't do
anything but the oh I would nevergo on stage with them as such.
BS Okay, so how does thatlook? Nancy three two, three,
five, three, eight, twentyfour to twenty three atch you had Benson

(25:30):
shows your Twitter tweet at as textto program. Love hearing from all of
you. One of the big dealsthat's going to be playing on everybody's mind
is inflation. It's inflation nation, baby. It shows that a rate is
going down. We were at threepoint five percent last months and overall when
you kind of look at the areaswhere prices are up and down. In
this report, you do see somecooling in places where people are really feeling

(25:52):
the impact of inflation. So yousaw prices go down for groceries. You
saw new and used car prices godown hillity and electricity prices. Yeah.
Really, because we're at the grocerystore last night. I didn't feel that.
My wife called and she goes,my god, is it insane how

(26:14):
expensive things are? It is.What this report will likely do is give
them a little bit of confidence thatthey can start lowering borrowing costs so that
affects a mortgage, a new carloan, But it's probably not going to
happen for a little while. Still. They want to see continued improvement,
as the FED chair says. AsPowell says, we're not quite there yet.
We need to get a little bitmore time to see if this data
keeps cooling, if we're still headingin the right direction with inflation. Do

(26:38):
you really think they're going to lowerrates this year? That would be a
political move more than anything else.Kevin ol Larry from chart Take It guarantees
that, in my opinion, theFed will not raise or sorry, we'll
not lower rates at all for therest of this year, and that's not
what you want if you're the incumbent. Politically, it looks like this happened
because inflation data, you can betwenty twenty. In terms of looking back,

(27:00):
we poured a lot of money inthe economy during the pandemic. That
turned out to me the right thingto do to avoid a depression. But
then we kept going. We probablypointed around two trillion too much. In
Inflation Reduction Act did not reduce inflation. In fact, it's inflationary. As
you can see by these numbers. This is a nasty report. Nasty report,
he says. We shall see whatit looks like, but inflation will

(27:22):
be the biggest issue. There isno doubt about that. Three two,

How good are the people who've comehere from other countries? How good are

(28:27):
they in the water? Are theygood swimmers? We're gonna talk about that,
plus a meltdown at UCI many otherthings straight ahead. Chad Benson show
fronting with scissors sounds great compared tothis same m housing, but instead are

(28:53):
shot. These young people are goingto be the ones that have to pay
the price for these horrible these policeofficers out here today. That's thousands of
students' dollarships with thousands of students couldhave been able to go to school and

actually go there and played soccer.Their lot. It's great, they had
great fields, beautiful you know, just a great area. But if if
I'm sending my kid to UCI andI see that person, that professor losing
their blanking mind over Palestine and thepolice coming in and breaking up the encampment

(30:07):
here and blah blah blah, andthat you've listened to that that is that
is an unstable individual. I'm like, I think you need to go somewhere
else. What is that? It'sjust insane. That's what I expect nowadays,
though it is insane. Costs tenthousand dollars to go to Ucai after

(30:30):
aid. So but if you don'tget any aid because you have got well
y, you know, you makean okay living and kid goes there out
of state, it's gonna cost youforty grand a year. That is a
lot. Yesterday I saw this andthought it was hilarious and I'll tell you

(30:52):
why. Listen to where he is. Chad Dylan mulvaney is a sheet,
okay whatever. Listen to where theythem she him is okay, surprise.
I'm in Peru and I met MachoPichu. Isn't this just so beautiful?
I'm here by myself and I usedto do a ton of solo traveling.
I'm telling you it's the best.If you could ever do a solo trip

(31:14):
somewhere. It is such a goodway to get to know yourself better.
But I came here to feel something, you know what I mean, And
I definitely have. I've done shamanceremonies that were like ten years worth of
therapy. It was wild. I'veseen a lot of lamas and the people
here are so kind. I feelvery safe here. It's a little sad
that I had to leave my countryto feel safe, but that will get

(31:37):
better eventually. And I am dyingfor some Trader Joe's roll Chili lime chips.
But other than that, I amso content. Still haven't been kissed
yet, but I'm holding out hopeand most of all, you know,
this trip has just has me feelinglike I'm my own best friend again,
and that is the best feeling inthe world. And I hope that you
feel that way about yourself too,and I love Yeah, Okay, I

(32:04):
I had to leave my country tofeel safe. Yesterday, the government of
Peru has issued a decree classifying transsexualism, transvestitism, and other gender identities as
a mental illness. You better getout, Dylan before they arrested you,
which used to be the classification here. For those of you not keeping score,

(32:24):
John Hopkins, the guy that kindof pioneered gender studies and all of
these things, the doctor that usedto be a mental illness is the way
they looked at it. And that'swhy to go back in the day to
look. If you look go backto the seventies and eighties, you know

(32:45):
when the stuff was first starting topop up, and there were people that
were I believe I'm this or Ibelieve I'm that. To get to the
point where they were going to doanything, anything, do you you had
to go through years of counseling becausethey classified it as a mental illness,
and then all of a sudden, that guy goes away and they're like,

(33:06):
well, we should do this. But I love the headlines in some of
these things. So this is PERUcalls transgender people mentally ill and a new
classification. Now listen to this ismy favorite one. PERU chooses bigotry and
medical services. Okay, oh mygoodness. Three, two, three,
five, eight, twenty four, twenty three At you had Benson show?

(33:28):
Is your Twitter tweet? At ustext the program You've hearing from every single
one of you. Mayor Adams havingto dig out of a hole. Some
people say, for what he saidthe other day, we didn't get to
it yesterday, but it's worth hearing. How do we have a large body
of people that are in our cityand country that are excellent swimmers and at
the same time we need lifeguards, and the only obstacle is that we won't

(33:51):
give them the right to work tobecome a lifeguard. That just doesn't make
sense. But if we had aplan that say, you have this shortage
of food service work and those whofit the criteria were going to expect expedite
you. So I just want toget this, want to get this right.
You are like, we're looking aroundand there's a lot of guys here

(34:15):
in gals who can swim, andthey look like they'd fit in the suits.
I mean, we're not talking Baywatch, but it's summer, it's New
York. We could use it.Anybody interested. Think about what he just
said. We have all these peoplehere, all these Mexicans and Cubans and

(34:36):
stuff. They look like Venezuelans.I mean they got here that cross the
Rio Grand or swim across the Atlanticat some point in time. You figure
they're pretty good swimmers. You havethe experience that you are a nurse,
which you have a nurse's shortage, and we would expedite you. And that's
the same with lifeguards. So wehave all these eligible people waiting to work
with the skills we need to fillthe jobs. But we're unable to allow

(35:00):
tell them that states those jobs thatwe are in high demand, we could
expedite. Okay, look doctors, nurses, engineers, we need you guys
coming over here. How what wasshort lifeguards they have? We got the
food service workers? Really, whichone of you knows who Michael Phelps is?
What's your time in the hundred? How do you feel about kids blow

(35:23):
the swhistle and say stop running aroundthe pool? Is that running around the
pool? Chad three, two, three, five, three eight, twenty

always tweet at us. You couldtext the program. Got some text coming
up, some tweets as well. What do you think about Robert Kennedy Junior
not being at the debates? Talkeda bit about that earlier. I tweeted

(35:45):
out last night. I think itwould be a good buffer. I think
it would be a good buffer betweenthe two of the insanity that could ensue.
And I didn't talk. I didn'ttouch on it a lot yesterday.
I mean, we talked about thedebate obviously, but I'm a believe it's
when it happens kind of God,And I know there are rules, and

(36:05):
they're setting stuff up, and they'redoing this and it feels like it but
like anything else until they get intoquote unquote the ring. I'll believe it
when I see it. Three twothree Fight twenty four to twenty three at
Chat, Benson Shows, Twitter,It's Chad Benson Show. This is the
Chad Benson Show, Independent Thoughts,Independent Life, this is Chad Benson.

(36:51):
If you're not watching what's going onin Slovakia. Their prime minister was attacked,
shot five shots rang out, apparentlytwo bulleted him. He's going to
survive. Robert Fiko not to beconfused with TransUnion and Experience. Jat are
you talking about FYCO scores. I'mjust kidding. Everybody settled down. Looks

(37:13):
like he's going to survive. Butthey have a lot of issues over there
that some of them feel eerily similarto what's going on here in America.
And I say that now because Ibelieve we're going to do a civil war,
but because I'm always surprised that nobodyhas taken a pot shot at a
Trump or a Bide in this politicallydivided world. Slovakian officials this morning saying,

(37:37):
Robert Fitzo, the Prime Minister ofSlovakia his condition is now serious but
stable, saying that he was operatedon for five hours overnight for multiple gunshot
wounds. After that terrifying moment caughton camera that the prime minister approaching a
small crowd outside an event in centralSlovakia yesterday afternoon, he was shot five

(37:57):
times by a gunman in the crowd. The gunman taken down by his bodyguards.
Oh five times, Well, I'veheard that only two actually hit him,
one serious in the stomach, someof them passed through, one of
them hit his shore. I meanit, it was horrific. I've seen
the video and it is you know, of course they was heard. It's
controversial. This guy's controversial, andthe minute that there's a controversy anywhere when

(38:22):
it comes to a politician is like. This guy's just like Donald Trump.
It's those first few months of primeminister. They have been controversial for his
populous, even nationalistic views. InJanuary, he halted military a to Ukraine,
and he's also been very vocal aboutopposing Russian sanctions. He's also been
accused of aligning himself with right wingHungarian Prime Minister Victor Auburn he's also criticized

(38:46):
for his attempt to shut down thepublic broadcaster. It's Donald Trump, that's
what he is. He on thisis the funny thing. So his party
is actually left leaning, but thebattle is in between the hard right and
his party. The battle is betweenthe uber Progressives and his party. And

(39:06):
I said, his name is likewe would look at it as fiko.
It'll call that. But all kiddingaside. In this time where there's a
lot of loonies out there, there'sa lot of people who lose the plot
and don't understand that so much ofpolitics is pantomime, right, kabuki theater.
It's not real. It is scaryto think what could happen. This

(39:30):
attack comes just after the presidential electionin Slovakia, Officials saying that timing is
not a coincidence. But we're stillwaiting to find out more about the suspects
and the investigation. But the conditionof the Prime minister today is said to
be improving. What we know aboutthe suspects so far h is well,
it's politically motivated that we do know. Local reports say the attacker is an

(39:52):
amateur writer. It's believed that heused a pistol that he held legally,
and this all we have to remindourselves took place in a former mining town
known for its strong political support forthe prime minister. President Biden condemned what
he called horrific act of violence andsaid the US embassy is in close touch

(40:13):
with the Slovakian government and is readyto assist. Yeah, and they are
calling a politicum and motivated. Itis a I just look at it in
this situation that we're in. AndI say that because I get messages from
people on a daily basis, andsometimes I get messages from people I'm thinking,

(40:34):
you need help. You do youneed some form of help? You
are unstable, you feel unstable, just from your text that you set me
on a daily basis. The RobertFitzo is a colorful character, the prime
minister in Slovakian politics for the bestpart of thirty years. A controversial figure.
He's a three time prime minister. He was re elected last year on

(40:55):
an anti Western support for Ukraine ticket. It's always going to be controversy,
anti Western, But do you seewhat like to me when I listen to
these things, they're trying to drawsome sort of line towards Oh you know,
Trump's kind of isolationist, and itmakes it seem I mean, I'm

(41:15):
not saying they're doing that on purpose, but the questions are going to be
out there, and I do askthe question, as I think we all
should, is this uh, isthis time that we're in? Not feel
uncomfortable? Not feel like somebody couldtake a pop shot at somebody'd be horrific.

(41:35):
Don't let politics drive your world likethat. I'm begging you, guys,
please don't let it. You seeit on college campuses. You're seeing
it in places now where we areso fractured, and with the Internet,
it's just it's it's awful, andwith people that, like I said,
don't understand that there is a certainpantomime Kabooki theater that goes on with these

(42:00):
things. Not everybody always gets it, if you know what I mean.
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three
at Chad bends and shows your Twitter. We're gonna have a debate. I
don't know if you guys know this. We are going to have a debate.
Oh okay, here's my thing withthe debate. I will say this
all the time up until this debate. That is happening on the twenty seventh,

(42:24):
which is very early, not ofthis month of June. I think
they're doing it early because they wantto see how Joe does get it in
before we go to the convention.Because if Joe jacks the pooch, if
Joe looks into the camera, fadesaway, starts talking about stuff that you
have no idea what he's talking about, just whatever he does. If that

(42:46):
happens, then you still have timeto make the big switcheroo. Oh would
they do that? It is possible. Ain't no doubt about that. Three
two, three, five, threeeight, twenty four to twenty three at
Chad Benson shows your Twitter tweet atus a little more about the Great Debate.

(43:07):
Meanwhile, you've got Israel, You'vegot what is going on over there,
And I'm I'm still curious about wherewe're headed with this. Are we
giving stuff? Are we not givingstuff? Mixed messages? We're doing the

(43:28):
the apparently that peer is back.Remember we're going to build a peer to
help people in Gaza. And thenwe started to build the peer it got
bombed and then you're like, ohmy god, who did it? It
was like, oh, Hammas didit? You're like, oh my god.
This giant floating peer has been monthsin progress and has cost hundreds of
millions of dollars. But US officialssay they have anchored it to a beach
in central Gaza. They've been abouta thousand US military personnel involved in this

(43:51):
project. US officials say there willbe no boots on the ground in Gaza,
and the concept is to deliver asignificant amount of aid directly into God
and they're already two inbound ships deliveringaid. Yeah, that's good for the
people of Gaza. For Amas, they want no part of this. We
understand that this choreography is incredibly complexand involves the US obviously, but also

(44:13):
the Israeli military will provide security andlogistics, the UN which will receive the
aid, and Palestinian subcontractors who willthen distribute it. The US says the
Peer could be operational in a coupleof days. You w an officials tell
me they still haven't hammered out theagreements and security is an issue. Yeah,
security is absolutely an issue, becausewe have already seen during this time

(44:40):
as they've set this up, itbe attacked by Yemen and several other fringe
groups and elements that have fired stuffoff, and we're putting armed men.
People are allies at harms risks,And what is this for. This isn't
to get weapons to Israel on theother side. No, this is for

(45:00):
food to help the people relief. And think about this. Israel is fighting
hamas and trying to feed their people. Oh, that's kind of weird.
Exactly, They're fighting a moss andthen they're also being asked, Hey,

(45:21):
there's any way you could feed them, that'd be super as well. Biden
executive action. The Justice Department citeswhat it describes as extraordinary cooperation and good
faith efforts to provide House Republicans withall relevant materials from the Special Council's investigation
into the President's handling of classified documentswhile out of office. After that interview,

(45:43):
her and his report characterized the Presidentas a sympathetic, well meaning elderly
man with a poor memory. TheWhite House Council writes in a letter to
top House Republicans, quote, theabsence of a legitimate need for the audio
recordings lays bay your likely goal tochop them up, distort them, and
use them for parties in political purposes. It doesn't want those tapes to come
out, because if he seems confused, lost and elderly gentleman that doesn't look

(46:05):
good, would they chop him up? Of course they would. Would the
Democrats do the same to Trump whengiven the opportunity, Hell, yes they
would. That's modern politics. Sohe doesn't want him out m HM three

we talked a bit about it.What he said at a event that caused

(49:30):
fury. I think it is you, the women who have had the most
diabolical lives told to you. Howmany of you are sitting here now about
to cross this stage and are thinkingabout all the promotions and titles you are
going to get in your career. Some of you may go on to lead
successful careers in the world, butI would venture to guess that the majority
of you are most excited about yourmarriage and the children you will bring into

Well, no, I mean you'renot. I mean you're in theory.
You're allowed to and you're allowed tohave an opinion that's different in theory.
Remember it's always in the theory. But this caused the debate on the old
CNN. Well, first all,I'll say, stick to kicking hair.

(51:01):
You wonder why Nikki Hailey is stillgetting twenty percent of the vote and she's
not even running, Well, it'sbecause of this kind of dialogue that's going
on largely in the Republican Party.John Bolton said a really interesting thing to
me which really struck me. Andthis is just evidence of he said,
Mark, there is no arc tothere's no arc to history. Progress is

(51:22):
not guaranteed and this kind of thingjust makes us feel like, God,
we're going back to the fifties.Yeah, I mean, there's just nuts.
You know, I just said, made the assumption that we've moved well
past this, and it's a reminderthat the work of justice has to be
done day after day after day.The work of justice must be done.
So him criticizing Pride Month, whichand if you go look at the calendar,

(51:46):
there's a pride something happening on adaily base. But if you believe
marriage between a man and a woman, if you are a Catholic who believes
life begins at conception, science believesthat too, So you are a bad
person and we're going backwards. Andwomen in the kitchen. No, he

(52:08):
talked about, Hey, some ofyou gonna go on be CEOs. You
can do all these kind of things, but the greatest thing that you're probably
ever gonna be is a mom. It's not the way it should the way
the way he come saying, hey, this is what this is what happens
insanity. I've said this yesterday.I love doing my job. I love
it. I've done a lot ofthings in my life. I love my

(52:29):
career. I love all the thingsI've done. It's been amazing. Best
thing I've ever done in my life. Most important thing I've ever done in
my life. Husband, father,That's it. Everything else pales in comparison,
one hundred percent. Well, it'sdifferent because you are toxic masculinity.
It's always got to bring that upright, toxic masculinity. Masculinity, according

(52:52):
to the Left, is toxic nomatter what it is. And that is
so ridiculous. It really really is. Love More on this later three,
two, three, five, three, eight, twenty four to twenty three
at you had Benton's show, Shore, Twitter, your Instagram, Trump Court
case back in session today talk alittle bit about that. A lot of

(53:14):
other stuff to get to as well, some inflation stuff. Romney said some
interesting things about the debate talk lasthour. He says, you know,
and I agreed with him. Ithink that the first thing that President Biden
should have done was pardon Trump. And I think that a lot of this

(53:36):
mess would have gone away. AndI would have put pressure on everybody at
the lower levels. Don't make aname for yourself at all, don't try
to do something ridiculous, don't turnthis into law fare. But he didn't.
And now he's joking about the factthat Trump has to be in court
every day but Wednesday, so maybewe could do a debate. Then wow,
how does that make it look?It makes it look like you are
using the DOJ and local prosecutors whoare Democrat stooges to go after your political

The Chad Benson Show, Independent Thoughts, Independent Life. This is Chad

Benson. You've heard of within ourlifetime and Queers for Palestine. But here
are four other lesser known activist organizationsthat you can donate to today. First
off, we have an amazing organizationcalled Petos for Palestine. They are doing
incredible work in the math community.I am not personally a minor attractive person,
not that there's anything wrong with that. It teams up with another organizations
called Diddlers for Divestment. Number two, Biden is done. He is not

(55:05):
good for us. There's an organizationcalled Sharia Law under Trump. Go donate
to them today. Number three,we have Flashers Against Genocide. And then
finally we have Puppy Kill Shelters forPeace. The best part is you can
donate to any of these organizations atpetosf Palestine dot com. Oh my god,
it's not REALI is it. No, it's not, but it sounds
in this weird world like some ofit could be Petos for Palestine really,

(55:30):
Flashers for Peace, Puppy Kill Sheltersfor Peace. It's not very nice.
Should mock these young people. Youshouldn't. Uh, I'm not mocking them.
If you want to protest, feelgreat. Protest. Understand what you're
protesting. That's always a good thing. Understand that. Understand Okay, what

(55:53):
am I protesting? Why am Idoing this? Understand that, and I
think that's a good start because alot of these kids have no idea.
Yesterday UCI chaos. They have disassembledthe tents, the canopies, all that
stuff that was being used to basicallyprotect the protesters from law enforcement. There's

(56:17):
still hundreds of protesters out here inthe quad at UC Irvining, trying to
send their message that we've been hearingacross the United States a pre Palestine.
They've also been chanting stuff against thelaw enforcement officers here the scene and saying
shame on UCI, shame shame onUCI. Continue, sir, I can't
tell you. According to UCI officials, they don't believe there are any more

(56:38):
protesters inside of this building. Butthat canon just grows smaller and smaller with
every inch that law enforcement moves forward. Yeah, because you know what,
they're stronger. No, Chad, that's not that's not very nice. So
using violence, silence is violence.Violence is also violence. And uh,

(57:00):
if you're gonna protest, I gotzero problems with protesting, fantastic, have
your voice heard, but also understandthere's repercussions of this, and you can't
you just can't be allowed to livein the quad forever. Uh, and
understand too when you're protesting what you'reprotesting, because so many of these kids

(57:21):
have no idea. And yesterday, you see, I was another example of
insanity that's going on in our collegecampuses. This is a professor, then
your professor, and they are destroyingthe campus and undoing a democratic, peaceful
protest. Shame on them, pleaseshame. She was cuckoo earlier as well.

(57:45):
But that is a professor. Andat what point do you say,
Okay, we've had enough. Well, they had had enough and they finally
said, all right, we gottawe gotta move this. We got we
this has to stop. There areseveral people just scattered across a vast area
now, so I don't know ifthat makes it more difficult for officers,
but their perimeters remain tight. Officersremain information as they try to contain the

(58:09):
situation. What's your perimeter, Bob. I'm over here, Steve, Steve,
I'm over here. Okay, cool, I see you, I see
you, I see you over there. Any students that remain here protesting,
they're building or trying to rebuild abarricade or a barrier between them and law
enforcement. But every so often lawenforcement just moves in and takes away whoever

(58:30):
is resisting and then they freak out. But Chad, weren't they being peaceful?
They were. They were asked toleave on several occasions, some of
them not from the school, aswe've talked about in the past. And
then I did just witness an officer, or excuse me, someone from the
protesting crowd throw a water bottle atofficers, and this is our response.

(58:54):
They gets They get officers moving ininching closer, those who resist will get
detained, and those who are willingto leap peacefully are allowed to do.
So. There you go around andfind out, as that lady said,
throw a water bottle, Let somebodyexpect it to come back tenfold three two,

but apparently his calls for peace havenot been enough to have multiple shows

He's supported Israel. Every one ofthem sold out, by the way before
the various venues pulled out, insome cases hours before the door's opened.
The acting of these shows a capitulationthe threats of protests against the Jewish artist,
and while a pretty a political Matisiyahuis having concerts canceled. Fellow hip

Semitism, has a new song beingcelebrated for its pro Palestinian stance without lets
like Newsweek, CNN, Time celebratingits release fawning over him. When I
first started my show, he usedto have Douchebag of the Week. Maybe
I'll bring that back. Every Fridaywe do Douchebag of the Week, and

(01:00:22):
every Friday was Maclamor every Friday.Because he is self righteous just and this
whole pandering stuff is ridiculous. Butthe beauty of the protest movement right like,
I don't like what you say,but I will defend your right to
say it. And again, aslong as we're not talking about violence,

(01:00:43):
we should have to preface that. But we do, you know, what
you guys hate me. I gota problem with that. You disagree with
me and you want to say horriblethings. I have no problem with that.
I protect your right to do it. Would you do the same for
me? Probably not. This guy'sgetting show was canceled in weird ways.
You were on the show before, yes, and you'd had shows canceled,

(01:01:05):
and now you've had another one canceledin Chicago. That's right, Yeah,
yeah, we had another one canceled. What happened this time? Well,
I don't I don't know exactly. We were trying to get to the bottom
of it. Basically, this wasI found out like sort of the night
before, the night before they tellyou, yeah, I got a call
from someone that's like, you shouldcancel your show. So, you know,

(01:01:30):
someone I respect, he's a friend, and I was like, what
is this about. It became thisvery like fishy thing where it was like,
you know, we spent you know, the next several several hours trying
to get to the bottom of likewho's canceling the show? Because the venue
is like, no, we're notcanceling the show, but where we were
hearing from it shows being canceled. So so wait, what yeah, yeah,

(01:01:52):
our buddy called you, not thevenue, none of that stuff.
So then dudes like, I don'treally get this. We should just go
to our show, so not asshow goes as we're just going to do
our show. House to Blues soldout, by the way. Eventually,
yeah, this show was just canceled. It we had we did. We
showed up, we drove to theshow. We were Yeah, we showed
up at the House of Blues andwe're going into the venue and like starting

(01:02:14):
to get ready to load all ourgear in and just like all right,
like they're saying the show is canceled, but the venue people don't even know
about it. And then sure enough, like from one of the people comes
and they're like, yep, showhas been canceled. And it's pretty clear
why, right, Yeah, weknow why it was canceled. But it's
just a matter of who is foldingand who's putting the who's putting the pressure

(01:02:34):
where, But lay it out. What's the why? I mean, I
know the answer. Yeah. It'sjust what we're seeing right now with protests
everywhere across the country, and it'sjust or you call you can call them
protests. I don't even think theydeserve to be called that. Like,
I think protest is a good wordand we associate in America good positive things
with it, and these are farfrom that. This is just people trying

(01:02:55):
to silence anyone who doesn't think likethem, which is which is quite the
opposite of protesting. Finish it up, MATESIAI We'll listen to a little bit
of the great song, the PalestineSong from Who gets the Rights of Defend
and who gets the writer? Resistancehas always been about dollars of your PIGNI
book. White Supremacy is finally onblast, and I guess that that's okay,

(01:03:20):
right He's allowed to sort of dothe kind of you know stuff that's
yeah, I mean, that's thetrend right now. That's what's considered cool.
And like you see it even onsocial media and stuff. It's like
you'll see like one artist or someonewill do some kind of like video and
then you'll just see like everyone willstart to make that video and that's just
the trend and it's just like thecool, the cool thing to do right

(01:03:43):
now. Yep, that's the coolthing to do. And he has got
a lot of issues already being calledanti semitic, and if you've not remembered

(01:05:30):
Awards. It's his first year beingnominated, and he scored four, including
a coveted Entertainer of the Year. Not Ahead of the show, he talked
to us about what a win wouldmean to him. It would mean a
lot. You know, it's hardto deny, but it's also a category
packed with people that deserve it.If you took my name out of it,
you could play spin the bottle andyou wouldn't be wrong. In the
Entertainer of the Year category, he'sup against Luke, Colmbs, Morgan Wallen

(01:05:53):
Landy Wilson, Kane Brown, ChrisStapleton, and Cody Johnson. The ACMs
are tonight on Prime Video. Iloved me some jelly roll. If you've
never seen him, I joked aboutit earlier, not today, but in
the past that he looks like somebodywho ate post maloney, you're such a
dick chat. But he's a cooldude. And and you know why.

(01:06:14):
I think one of the reasons heis become as popular his talent is undeniable.
It's also the comeback story of thisguy. It's a guy who spend
a vast majority of his young adultlife and even his juvenile portion of it
in detention, drug addict and dealer. He went before Congress, was it

(01:06:38):
earlier this year, late last year, and talk about the fact that you
know, you see the fednel problem. He said, look, I contributed
to this. And he even wentback yesterday to his high school after getting
told he'd never be allowed to evergo back to that high school. And
it's a redemption story. And theone thing we love in America is a
redemption story. Ain't no out aboutthat, No redemption, no place for

(01:07:02):
the week. Fast food workers unite, working in the industry is that for
the week. I work eight plushour shifts to name, and I deal
with the most brain rot idiotic humanbeings I've ever seen. I don't see
these people when I'm out in publicand like anywhere else. When I walk

(01:07:25):
into this building, I swear,I swear, I'm just surrounded by people
that like, literally their two braincells are fighting for first place. It's
insane. I literally had somebody askme if there was fish in our fish
and chips. Now that's that's fairbecause we've heard stories of their not being
chicken in the chicken nuggets. It'ssome sort of goo. So uh that

(01:07:47):
is fair. But like you're like, is it halibit? No, Look
you're lucky. It's sardine. Weknow it swims. That's the best you're
gonna get. What comes on thisburger? Read them? Mind you?
Oh my god? Like hello,Like sometimes I just want to scream with
them, like I just want towhat or when I can't even send their
drinks down? Can we get Severerwherecan we get napkins? What for?

(01:08:09):
What for? What? Like?Oh my god, that is spectacular.
I if you have to deal withthe public. I'm all joking aside,
because the public, dealing with thepublic. Let's be real, it's a
tough thing. I mean, thereare plenty of people on the other side
who are like, have you beento a fast food restaurant? Have you

(01:08:32):
have you been to a place whereyou have to deal with individuals and they're
not always the sharpest. She seemsa little sharper. Maybe you need to
go do something else with your life, honey, maybe do well. Chat.
She's got to pay for life becauseinflation sucks. It does We know
that we talked about it throughout. It's still the number one issue. We
talk about debates, we can talkabout the wars, we talk about all

(01:08:53):
those things, but the issue stillis inflation. KJP, I'm gonna ask
you about how the president talks aboutinflations. Two times over the past two
weeks, the President said inflation wasnine percent when he came into office.
Is the President missleating Americans on thator does it just not realize that inflation
is one point four percent. Thankyou for the question, because I know
that this. We got a lotof incoming on this yesterday. And look,

(01:09:15):
it's the point that he was making. The factors that caused inflation was
in place when he walked in intothe administration when he took office. Let's
that's again, you've lied yesterday.Over the last week or so, I've
been filling in on three martini lunchwith Jim Garritty from the National Review.
It's one of the big columnists there. He writes the morning Joel Dude's great.

(01:09:36):
We were talking about this yesterday duringthe podcast, and I actually have
some of it because he brings upthis very very very very real situation that
Biden says things that are absolutely crap, that are verified, that they're called
out on, and nobody at thispoint in time seems to correct him.

(01:09:57):
Twice in five days, Biden hastried to convince people inflation was at nine
percent when I came in. Itwas not so. Now the question is
so with the point what I putto you, Chad, is this Biden
deliberately spinning like he wants to.He thinks people's memories are fuzzy enough that
if he says it enough times, people will believe that inflation was nine percent

(01:10:18):
under Trump. Is it that he, you know, said this five days
ago. Someone told him, misterpresident, that's not true. It was
one point four percent when you whenyou took office and he doesn't remember being
corrected, or option three, whichI actually think is probably the most likely.
No one bothered to correct Biden whenhe said this five days ago.

(01:10:41):
Everyone's gotten used to him just ramblingand saying crazy stuff and saying stuff that
has just flat out false. KarineJean Pierre and everybody around him doesn't care
that he lies, and he saysstuff that's just blatantly untrue, and there's
no point to correcting him because theyknow he's not going to remember. They
know he's not going to change hisway. So we should just kind of
expect from now until election day,Biden is going to keep insisting that inflation

(01:11:02):
was nine percent when he took office. Yeah, and the whole nobody corrects
him situation is it tell a lielong enough and it'll become the truth,
is it? I mean, youknow it's And I don't envy anybody who's

(01:11:23):
got to go speak for any office, because you know, in today's world
of everything moves so fast, youcould be out there, whether you're a
Kareean Jumpierre allf a letter job. We've already admitted that, or you know,
anybody else for any other present.I mean Trump. You know,
it's a nightmare for Trump because nomatter what you go out and say,
he's probably contradicting it or has movedsomewhere else in the Twitter's verse slash truth

(01:11:45):
world. So it's very it's justvery interesting. I think he just thinks
if I continue to tell everybody, this is all Trump's fault, this is
all of Trump's fault. Everything hereis Trump's fault. And it was already
ten percent when I got in office. It wasn't one point four percent that
somehow people will believe it. Peoplearen't believing it. They're not three two,

(01:12:06):
three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty three at Chad
Benson Show is your Twitter tweet atas text to program. I love hearing
from every single one of you.We got more on the Great Debates,
Robert F. Kennedy Junior, Itweeted out last night. I think he
needs to be there at least inone of these debates, and it would

(01:12:27):
be interesting to see how that wouldgo. And if you're going to get
on a vast majority of the states, I don't think he's gonna get in
on all the states. I thinkyou need to be there, And the
fact that he's not. I'm nota fan of Do I think he's going
to win? No? Do Ithink he could make some noise? Yes?
Do I think he make people think? Yeah? Do I think he'd
be a buffer? Yeah, allof those things. Let me know what

(01:12:50):
you think. Three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty
four to twenty three at Chad BensonShow's your Twitter. It's a Chad Benson
show. This is the Chad BensonShow, Independent Thoughts, Independent Life.

(01:13:27):
This is Chad Benson. We'll getto the great debates in a minute.
But first, Trump on trial duarriving at the courthouse. What does he
have to say? Donald Trump isa president for the president out to say
about that this was the case, there wasn't going to be done. And
then when I announced I was running, they brought up they could have done
it seven years ago. This couldhave been brought seven years ago, but

(01:13:49):
they wanted a right smack in themiddle of election. These are very dishonest
people that we're dealing with now.If you hate Trump, you're like,
that's such boloney. If you likedyou're like, he's right. If you're
honest with yourself, you're like, yeah, he's probably right. Wait,
this happened in two thousand and six, then it expired, Then you gave
a magic COVID year so you couldthrow it out there. Then you turned

(01:14:14):
something that the Department of Justice andyour predecessor, Alvin Bragg wanted no part
of into a felony, while stillnot showing anybody during the trial what the
other crime is that he was goingto commit, and your star witness is
an absolute clown. So far,the cross examination of Michael Cohen has focused
on Michael Cohen, his obsession withDonald Trump, his desire to see him

(01:14:38):
convicted, and how he made moneyfrom bad mouthing Trump. The defense asked
nothing about the most damaging testimony thatCohen delivered, namely that he linked Trump
to the alleged scheme to hide fromvoters in adult film star's claim of a
sexual tryst, which is not illegal. Right, do we understand that that
is not illegal? It's the PAprocess. Okay, So let's get to

(01:15:00):
the payment process, which he talkedabout. Cohen testified Trump knew about the
one hundred and thirty thousand dollars paymentto Stormy Daniels and approved a plan to
pay back Cohen, who in frontof the money, Cohen said he sent
monthly invoices for services rendered, buthe told the jury he performed no services.
The checks Trump signed, he said, were the reimbursement to me of
the hush money meant to silence Danielsbefore the twenty sixteen election. So let

(01:15:26):
me ask you this. You didnothing, You provided no services. So
magically he gives you a check forthe same amount that was needed and paid
to a lady who who is notvery nice yet I'm throwing it out there.
She had sex for money and sheneed to keep her mouth shut,
which you did. That's why sheowes him money. By the way,
for those of you who don't remember, she owes Donald Trump a lot of
money. Uh. That being said, you performed no services, but he

(01:15:51):
paid you for something. I'm stilltrying to figure out what this is all
about. Oh and the fact thatyou hate his guy, which has also
been something I wanted to get tothis earlier in the week. But it's
the TikTok thing is I just playall this stuff over and over again.
Not a good day for Donald inNew York. The man who almost on

(01:16:12):
a whim, would threaten to destroypeople's lives has been routinely opining on TikTok.
Recently, former Trump attorney termed adversaryMichael Cohen has been hosting a live
stream on TikTok almost every night.Don't be that person that sits on the
sideline and has to turn around andsay to you kids, your grandkids,
I should have voted, Cohen toldthe court today he goes on TikTok an

(01:16:32):
hour a night to build an audienceand create a community, he says,
but also quote to really vent becauseI'm having a difficult time sleeping. So
I found an outlet. Yeah, the outlet is hammer Donald Trump. Who
who you would have done anything for? That's what the defense needs to go.
Hey, guys, this guy wouldhave done anything for him. He
was such a hanger on. Hewas willing like anything to please you.

(01:16:55):
That was a him issue. Imean, if you wanted to go at
this point, have you even provedyour case at all? Why are we
here? Why are we here?Well? Because he what was the other
crime that he was going to commit? Because that's the whole point this thing
became a felony is when you saidhe did this so he then could commit
another crime? Whatich therefore, makesit a felony of which you've shown nobody.

(01:17:15):
The other crime, and the crimethat he quote unquote committed was at
best a misdemeanor falsifying campaign records, which is nothing. And the guy that
is your star witness is bitter andis still earning money off Donald Trump.
He riffs on everything from books tosports to politics, including a tease on

(01:17:39):
a potential run for office. I'lltell you I may run for Congress.
I may do it even if Idon't get the blessing of my wife and
kids. Comedian Rosie O'Donnell recently calledin to Cohen's TikTok stream saying she wanted
to give him a pep talk tonot listen to all of this negative magazine
coming at you. What you liedabout, what things that he made you

(01:18:00):
do, and you have made afull turnaround in terms of telling the truth.
Oh God. The worship of thehatred of Donald Trump that is also
a new religion continues there, butCohen's TikTok streams have been an issue in
course until recently. He devoted muchof his time on TikTok to slamming his

(01:18:21):
former boss. Trump is a misfascism and we must eradicated from our body
politic. A few days before hewas scheduled to testify, Cohen went live
on TikTok sporting a T shirt whichdepicted Trump wearing an orange jumpsuit behind bars.
He's hosted a Trump imitator. I'mgoing to go to jail. Judge

(01:18:42):
Van Marshan has not imposed a gagorder on Cohen as he has on Trump.
But Mershon has asked prosecutors to rainCohen in and get him to stop
talking about the case or about Trump. But you haven't put a gag order.
So think about that. Trump cannotdefend himself in public, especially well,
he can't go out and attack thewitnesses, okay, but this witness

(01:19:02):
can attack him. There's a FirstAmendment issue. I find there one more.
Trump attorney Todd Blanche asked Cohen todayabout one TikTok stream. You referred
to President Trump as a dictator douchebag, didn't you, Cohen? Sounds like
something I said. Blanche asked Cohenif he'd said on TikTok that Trump belongs
in an effing cage like an animal. Cohen, I recall saying that this

(01:19:26):
is the type of thing that isa prosecutor's nightmare. Using these TikTok videos,
the defense team will ask the juryto disregard all of Michael Cohen's testimony
and find it not to be truthful. And what do they always tell you?
If you find one thing in yourmind that this person is saying not

(01:19:47):
to be truthful, you can disregardall of the things that that person said.
Three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty four to
twenty three at she had Benson Shawto your Twitter. Now back to the
Great Debate debate debate. Remember yesterdayDonald Trump lost two debates to me in
twenty twenty Saints, and he hadn'tshown up for debate. Now he's acting
like he wants to debate me again. Will make my day, Pal,

(01:20:08):
I'll even do it twice. Solet's pick the dates. Donald. I
hear you're free on Wednesdays. Ah, And that, by the way,
is disgusting. I hear your freeon Wednesdays because I have gone out and
pushed polled. No, you haveand he has not done any of that
stuff, really, because he couldhave killed all of these cases against him

(01:20:33):
that should have if they were goingto happen. Happen years ago, not
just this year, And it lookslike you're talking about the fact that we
got your ass in court. Whatdo you think of that? So your
political opponent is in court and you'rejoking about, well, you can meet
and debate on a Wednesday. It'sa couple great articles and some podcasts out

(01:20:54):
there talking about the worst case scenario. Donald Trump is found guilty. Well,
oh thank god. Polls show thathe loses the tight race. But
those polls show that had he notbeen found guilty, he would have won.
The appeal goes through and they throwit out. So what would that

(01:21:17):
look like? How would you lookat the law and better yet, how
would you look at politics at thatpoint in time? A lot different?
I say, so willie or won'the show up? I've been saying this.
I don't know if he's going toshow up. I don't know.
I don't but I maintain this. The reason they're doing it early is simple.

(01:21:44):
If Biden slips up, Trump trumpetsthrough, they're not going to challenge
him. But this is all happeningbefore they get together, right, the
DNC and the RNC and their bigparty. This is happening before that,
where they then officially nominate, andshould things go sideways and should Biden look

(01:22:12):
weak, you still have time topivot. Oh yes, that's why I
believe they're doing it earlier than normal. And it's not because of early voting.
It's because I maintain if there isa slip up, and there's always
that possibility, could the pivot beon? I think so three two,

(01:24:17):
Internet on your phones. You're like, what is this? Start with Yahoo
today. Lucy Ledby, who wasa serial killer in Britain, is trending.
If you don't know who she is. She was a nurse, a
nightmare nurse. There's some articles abouther. She killed seven. She was

(01:24:41):
a neonatal nurse. She murdered seveninfants and attempted to murder six others between
June of twenty fifteen and June oftwenty sixteen. There's several articles out about
her. Right now, U seeI that's University of California, Irvine had
protest yesterday over Gaza, Golden Bachelorette, Westminster Dog Show, Chicago Cubs all

(01:25:02):
trending Slovakia. Their Prime Minister RobertFaiko was shot yesterday attempted assassination, and
it's no word on how his brother'sTransUnion and experience are taking it. Chad,
that's not very nice. We've beentalking about it throughout the show.
I'll be honest, I am surprisednobody's taking with the political tension the way

(01:25:26):
it is in this country. Andremember doesn't matter if you're on the right
or left this. When you getto the point where you're going to do
something like this, unless you're contractedby an organization, it's usually mental illness
that drives you to this and youhave or it's you know, like with
Zelenski, there's a war something tome and I throw this out there.

(01:25:49):
I am surprised that nobody has takena shot at either Biden nor Trump.
And I hate to say that, because we are in a very high situation
where it doesn't take a lot forsomebody to twist off anymore and get lost
down a rabbit hole and go wesaw that on January sixth. It was

(01:26:12):
all because it wasn't all because ofTrump. Because people take things and they
run with it. They do.Look at the guy that went to the
congressional baseball practice for the Republicans andshot him up. He was a Bernie
supporter, but he was crazy.Let's and I don't blame Bernie for that.
He was just crazy. Head overto Google, lots of NBA stuff

you guys didn't look like crap manUnited, King Charles portrait trending.
Head over finally to the magical worldof Twitter. Bridgerton. I don't know

(01:27:06):
what that is Bridgerton. Is itkind of like it's not a Downton Abbey,
but it's something similar. But Ithink even it's like very British and
very period piece for every dances upand says, oh, let's have lunch.
Oh yes, I do. HarrisonBucker talking about him as we're out

(01:27:27):
today because he said some stuff thathas made some people angry because he has
a different belief than other people do, and because of that, well then
he is a misogynistic, toxic masculinityslb oh WNBA. You know it's funny.
I was talking about the WNBA openingup last night. It opened up

(01:27:47):
the night before. That's how muchI pay attention. Oh jeez, hid,
I got several of you say,you know the WNBA open up today.
I'm like, I had no ideait opened up the night. I'm
like, I didn't know that.I was unaware of such things. I'm
sorry, I apologize. I'm notup to date with my WNBA. But

(01:28:08):
Chad, she's the biggest star inthe world. She is not Caitlin Clark
is not the biggest star in theworld. It's want to point that out
because I've had some of you, probably liberals who don't watch the WNBA because
nobody does, point out that sheis the biggest. Somebody tweeted at me,
I mean, tex text me theother day says, you know,
Chad, she's probably the biggest sportsstar in the world. I'm like,

How many of you are sitting herenow about to cross this stage and are
thinking about all the promotions and titlesyou are going to get in your career.

(01:29:14):
Some of you may go on tolead successful careers in the world,
but I would venture to guess thatthe majority of you are most excited about
your marriage and the children you willbring into this world. As men,
we set the tone of the culture. Be unapologetic in your masculinity, fighting
against the cultural emasculation of men.Do hard things, never settle for what
is easy. That's just some ofthe things that he said the other day,

(01:29:40):
and it is causing uproar. I'mgoing to talk about that because apparently
you can't live your faith and yourbelief anymore. Unless it is a faith

Instagram as well. It is theChad Benson Show, Sun, Chad Benson

(01:30:55):
Show, Independent Thoughts, Independent Life. This is Chad Benson. I'm not

(01:31:18):
a rule breaker. But I amI like to make a political statement as
necessary and as well as a humorousstatement and a creative statement. So i'm,
you know, all in favor ofgenerating discussion and making people smile.
And the reaction is extremely more thanwe ever expected, and we're both just

(01:31:38):
tickled about it. It's pretty cool, pretty cool. Indeed, that guy
who is that guy Chow? Whatthe hell is he talking about? Nteen
constables? His name Seaside, California, A so in July city came to
me and said, hey, yourneighbors are complaining about your boat. They
can see your boat. They don'tlike it. They do not like it.

(01:31:59):
So the city demanded he build asix foot fence to hide the boat
from view of his neighbors. Idon't know, maybe they're jealous, they
want a boat. They can't afforda boat. So he goes to an
artist, local guy, Hanif Pannysays, all right, I built the
fence. It's white. I wantyou to paint my boat just as if
it would be right there without thefence. And he did. It's a

(01:32:20):
perfect likeness. What are you gonnado? High five? Brother? I
love it. I love it.He's having a laugh. And if you
look, if you, I mean, it is perfect because the boat has
you know, it's got the thingthat goes over well, you have the
lights and the speakers and stuff,so that would rise above the fence.

(01:32:41):
He painted perfectly the boat up untilthat point, and then the rise of
the boat afterwards, the stuff thatyou would see. It's just it's spectacular.
Good for you, Good for you, sir. Way to look at
the local regulations and bs that goeson and many places and say afooie,
speaking of fooey. Consumer prices inApril were three point four percent higher compared

(01:33:05):
to the same time last year. That's a slight improvement from the three point
five percent increase we saw in March. And so called core inflation, which
removes vol little food and gas priceswas up by the smallest amount in three
years. The other good news wagesare rising faster than inflation. Yes,
people tweeting in about this, textingand inflation is up. No, inflation's

(01:33:29):
not up, it's down. Anotherperson says, inflation is down, mark
it up. So what do youthink of that? Corporate greed is inflation?
Imagine being a republican saying personal freedomand pull yourself up by your bootstraps
and being four years older, andblame me the president, government, liberal
immigrants for your own failures. Whatare you talking about? What failures are
those out of curiosity allowing millions ofmigrants to come here? Who does that

(01:33:53):
hurt? By the way, youscreamed corporate greed? Okay, so let's
go through what you've You've texted me. You scream corporate greed. Well,
if I'm a corporation, I wantall the cheap labor I can get,
and I want Americans who want moremoney, union members in particular, to
not get that money. I'll saveit there. Oh well, hold on

(01:34:14):
a second. Can't have it all, can you? He also called me
a blankety blank bitch, which isnice. Again, I respect your right
to be a douche and for youto think I'm a douche. I never
called you a name, but youdecided to after a while. You know
what, it gets bored? Itdoes? It gets boring. I respect
your right to be angry, hateful, spiteful, dislike Trump. I don't

(01:34:39):
care if you like Trump. Whydo you love Trump? I don't love
Trump. You guys know how Ifeel about Trump. Take him or leave
him as a person on the otherside of it. I find a lot
of what he tried to do verygood, and I think a lot of
the message that he pushed out therewas lost not in translation in the battle
that is what's going on in theworld today, which is there's huge money

(01:35:02):
and division. Everybody picks their side, they find their lane, they stay
in their lane, and people feedoff of Trump. He is an industry
all to himself of outrage for themedia. But there was a lot of
stuff that he had because whenever wetalk about Trump when it comes to politics,
it is never about policy. Itis always about the chaos. So

(01:35:25):
the hyperbole or what he said,I don't care what you say. What
are your actions? That tells memore a lot more. You've got this
president running out saying we will neverabandon you Israel and then going don't give
him some of those weapons. Yourwords were this, Your actions were this,

(01:35:48):
three, two, three, five, three, eight, twenty four
to twenty three. At you hadBenson Show is your Twitter, we were
talking about Harris Fuctor, the kickerof the Kansas City Chiefs, who at
a a commencement speech for a Catholiccollege small one, he said some stuff
that made people uncomfortable, and thecourse there's fallout because there has to be.

(01:36:08):
Oh my god, I'm sure angryand' upset about it. He's got
a different point of view. SuperBowl winner Harrison Bucker's commencement speech at Benedictine
College getting attention after what the KansasCity chiefs kicker said to women, some
of you may go on to leadsuccessful careers in the world, but I
would venture to guess that the majorityof you are most excited about your marriage
and the children you will bring intothis world. Butcker also criticizing abortion,

(01:36:30):
surrogacy, IVF treatment as well aspride month. Oh my goodness, me,
he's got different opinions. He does, and I don't care about that.
Take it or don't. Cake. Most important thing to me is being
a husband and a father. Everythingelse secondary. It's just the reality.

(01:36:51):
This is what I do, andI love it with a passion. But
who I am is a husband anda father, a son, a brother,
friend. Those things matter far more, and some people find that weird,
right continue. He also called outa congressional bill condemning anti semitism.
Congress just passed a bill we're statingsomething as basic as the biblical teaching of

(01:37:14):
who killed Jesus could land you injail. The NFL saying his views are
not those of the NFL. TheNFL is steadfast in our commitment to inclusion.
Of course you are. And bythe way, that bill, it's
it's kind of a bizarre thing whereeverybody takes something and they try to twist
it. So if you say thatJews killed Christ, then that's anti Semitic.

(01:37:41):
It's like no, but that's wherepeople will spend stuff and go with
it. And I don't agree witha lot of what he said, and
I don't disagree with it. Ijust think take it for what it is.
Do. I think there's too muchpride and too much pushing of stuff.
Absolutely, one hundred and ten percent. And I think if you ask
people in particular, non active astsomebody who just is gay. That's what

(01:38:03):
they are, not non binary, not any part of the alphabet. They're
just a gay, they're lesbian.Whatever. They'll tell you a lot of
it's just such crap. They willtell you that. No, they won't,
they will. I lived in PalmSprings for a long time. My
old business partner very gay. Onmy producers very gay. They laugh at
this stuff and say it's ridiculous. Now, it wouldn't be controversy if we

(01:38:27):
didn't want them kicked out of theNFL. An online petition demanding the chiefs
release Bucker quickly rocked up tens ofthousands of signatures, but many are also
defending the kicker, saying he deliveredthe speech out of private Catholic school and
he received a standing ovation. Yes, but his belief is different than my
belief, and I don't like thatyour belief has to be the exact same

(01:38:56):
as mine or else. And really, I think we can all use for
a little bit more morals in thiscountry. I think a little cheating in
a relationship is okay. It's notone of my nine negotiables. Like most
people, it's definitely levels to thatcheating. And I feel like, what
y'all be calling cheating just be normalhuman interaction. Y'all be like, oh,

(01:39:17):
you looked at another girl you inbox, another girl that's cheating, baby
having conversations with someone of the Idon't know because they be cheating with you.
Anyways, people deserve to be ableto flirt naturally out in public with
other people. Without it be consideredcheating. Okay, there you go,

(01:39:39):
So don't worry about that. Doyou have any more to say? And
when I say cheating is okay,I'm talking about you crack somebody and then
realize like, yep, no,I love you and I don't want to
do that again. I just neededto get that out of my system.
I'm not talking about the habitual cheatingwhere you with this girl, that girl,
every girl, because that means youjust don't want me at all.

(01:40:00):
I also not talking about the cheatahwhere you've been cheating on me with the
same girl consistently, because that meansyou just want that beach. And I'm
not talking about the cheatah where youpurposely not using protection and not caring about
my health and then you end upwith a side baby. Maybe she should
listen to Harrison Bucker three two, three, five, three eight, twenty

(01:40:23):
four, twenty three Atch Hat Benson'sshow It is your Twitter. We're gonna
have some more on the Great Debates. Plus we're also going to talk a
bit about well the histories and thepast history of this because you know,
every week we close where every daywe close our show with little information,
stupid information. Like, I thinkthe things that you can go and dazzle

(01:40:44):
your friends, whether you're standing aroundgoing hey, did you know this?
And there's some interesting facts about debating, how long it's gone on. I'm
curious to find out who's going tobe the vice presidential candidate along with Trump.
That'll be interesting to find out whothat's gonna be. Some people say
Doug Bergham, I'm throwing Tulci Gabbardout there, Marco Rubio, I've heard
you know, Ben Carson. Evenyesterday, Trump defended uh Christy. No,

(01:41:10):
I'm saying, well, she hada bad week when she killed her
dog. What we'll wrap it upstraight ahead, Chad Benson, Joe,
if you like talk radio, likeChad Benson likes his meals, you've come

(01:41:30):
to the perfect place for takeout.President Biden challenged former President Trump to two
debates, and Trump accepted. Trumpagreed to the debate. He said,
I'll be there, assuming it's okaywith my parole officer. The first debate
will be next month, of whichis the earliest presidential debate has ever been.
And if we're being honest, anearly bird debate feels right for these

(01:41:50):
guys. Yeah, Biden and Trumpwill meet June twenty seventh on CNN.
And one of Biden's debate conditions wasnot having an audience, So that explains
why it's on CNN. Nah,look at the way they did that fallon
there. Trump and them are goingto debate. Trump yesterday talking about that
because you know, Willie show orwon't he show. I've been saying it

(01:42:13):
throughout. I'll believe it when Isee it. Oh, absolutely, I've
been trying to get you know,he's issuing it. I wonder whether or
not he shows up because you know, he also challenges me to golf,
so I'm a very good golfer.He can't hit a ball fifty yards.
He said, I'll give him threea side, but he knows he'll never
play. This is sort of likethat, I think, but I hope
not, because I really think hehas the debate, he might as well

(01:42:33):
get it up with. Probably shoulddo it early so that he can you
know, he's not going to getany better. Yes, that's and the
early and not getting any better isvery real. And we've talked about this
over time. The youngest he's evergoing to be is today, and the
issues and the struggles that he hasis very real, and we can sit

(01:42:58):
here and like I said, youknow, Trump's become an industry to himself.
Like it or don't like it,hate him, love him, whatever.
The reality is is he is anindustry all to himself. And you
got people out there diagnosing him withwith dementia and Alzheimer's and all of these
kind of things, and you're justlike, wow, that's you're living off
that all the while here's the guywho's, you know, a storyteller of

(01:43:21):
storytellers, who doesn't you know, shuffles off the stage. All the issues
he has, the lies he tellsis is incredible. And nobody ever fact
Jackson, nobody we're to you know, I played yesterday. I did some
stuff with Jim Garrity from the NationalReview. We were talking about we were
joking about the fact that you know, he you know, he's going to
show up for the debate and talkabout the fact that he was arrested with

(01:43:43):
Nelson Mandela and you know, drivingthe eighteen wheel, and nobody ever challenges
and real stuff. You know, when I took over office, inflation was
at ten percent, was it?It was at one point four percent?
And everybody knows it, but nobodybrings that up to you. So the
debate is going to happen, there'sgoing to be rules, what are said
rules, But we're still waiting tolearn some of the other details about what

(01:44:04):
exactly this campaign will look like.I will say my colleague and Jay Lee
and I have heard from two Bidencampaign sources who said that they had accepted
an invitation for a debate that willtake place in studio at CNN's Atlanta offices.
So but we will see what elsethe details of the debate will look

(01:44:24):
like. A bit earlier today, former President Trump, for instance, told
Fox News in a radio interview thathe would be interested in a two hour
debate that involved podiums. The Bidencampaign has also set out very specific details
about what they want to see.For instance, the microphones can only be
on when each candidate is expected tospeak, potentially eliminating some of that very

(01:44:46):
intense back and forth that we sawin the very first debate between Biden and
Trump back in twenty twenty. Yeah, that was chaos. You remember that.
Let's go back four years. They'retalking about it because people are like
trying to praise Chris Wallace on cand the other night, Chris is like,
what are you guys talking about? It was a disaster. What did
he do with barisan question? Ananswer? If not, none of that

(01:45:10):
is true, President is totally please, totally discredited. Totally discredited and by
the way, a half million dollars. Yet it is not true, mister
president. It's a it's an opendiscussion. Please, it's a fact.
Well shoots answer. What's funny isthey focus on his stuff and you're like,

(01:45:35):
none of that's true. None ofmy kid never did any of that.
Hunter never, he never got anymoney. And then you find out,
yeah, that's true. But wecare about the interruption. I will
say this, the first debate betweenBiden and Trump. Trump was a nightmare.
He was It was an absolute nightmare. Second debate was a little bit
better. But you know, arethey good? Are they bad? It's
an interesting conversation. Nancy Pelosi,I myself would never recommend going on the

(01:45:59):
stage with Donald Trump, but thePresident has decided that's what he wants to
do. I think the format heis suggesting it's a good one. I
think you all should have separate townhall meetings with them and let them challenge
them with questions about the future andlet the public make its decision. What
I would like to see is ifwe're going to do this forty five minute

(01:46:21):
town hall or forty minute town hallwith one forty minute town hall with another
and then like a thirty minute debate, like five ten minutes in between,
then go back to the corners, right the corners can work rock you're gonna
make it. I think that wouldbe an interesting thing. So we'll see.
Let's go back away, shall we, because we've got some stupid information

(01:46:42):
about said debates, and then Igo and spoil it all by saying something
stupid. We think stupid tills thismorning. It's the honest ones you want
to watch out for, because youcan never predict they're going to do something
incredibly stupid. Now you're the factstupid one with the big mouth is stupid
than the last time. You shouldnever underestimate the predictability of stupiditzing. Now

(01:47:08):
it's time for stupid information. Youheard the screaming, the yelling of Trump
and then battling it out. Let'sgo back to nineteen eighty What did it
sound like with just a normal, honest, kind of straightforward two adults at
times in the room, non divisive, non reality television debate. What did

(01:47:30):
that sound like? Next Tuesday iselection day. Next Tuesday, all of
you will go to the polls. We'll stand there in the folding place and
make a decision. I think whenyou make that decision, it might be
well if you would ask yourself, are you better off than you were four
years ago? Is it easier foryou to go and buy things in the
stores than it was four years ago? Is there more or less unemployment in

(01:47:51):
the country than there was four yearsago? Is America as respected throughout the
world as it was? Do youfeel that our security is as safe,
that we're as strong as we werefour years ago? And if you answer
all of those questions yes, whythen I think your choice is very obvious
to who you vote for. Ifyou don't agree, if you don't think

(01:48:11):
that this course that we've been onfor the last four years is what you
would like to see us follow overthe next four then I could suggest another
choice that you have reg versus Carter. History of the presidential debate surprisingly short.
John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixonin Chicago they met nineteen sixty.
It was very interesting back then becauseyou actually had to go to Congress before

(01:48:32):
you could even debate. There wasa Communications Act in nineteen thirty four required
American broadcaster to offer all candidates forpublic office, not just those for major
parties, equal times. So youhad to go and they had to bend
the rules. That changed in nineteenseventy five. One of the interesting things
go back in the day. Kennedyand Nixon were actually in different time zones
during one of the debates. Theyhad the studios where they were each try

(01:48:57):
to get it as close to lookinglike they were in this same room as
possible. Oh, that's crazy.Indeed, presidential debate was once a no
show. Carter believed three was acrowd mu So we were talking about Robert
F. Kennedy and John Anderson, the Independent of candidate and Ronald Reagan debated.
Carter didn't show up for one ofthe debates September twenty first, nineteen
eighty. They did Hillary and theDonald, the most watched debate in history

(01:49:21):
in twenty sixteen, seventy three millionviewers. And that didn't count what was
going on on the interwets. Sillyinformation you learned right there. You guys
have me blessed rest of your day. I say you Friday Night, night
Jack. This is the Chad BensonShow.
