(00:10):
Independent thoughts, independent life. Thisis Chad Benson. What will they do?
Who the jury? They have gotit? The fate of humanity.
I'm being not so serious. Serious. We'll let everybody know that the Democrats

(00:35):
probably think that. Well, ifthey don't rule that he's guilty, then
the fate of humanity is over. It's done, it's dusted right. Evil
will prevail. This is what happensat triumphs when good people do nothing.
The fate of Donald Trump, thefirst former president who ever faced criminal charges,
is now in the hands of thejury, and less than four hours
into deliberations, a bell rang incourt, signaling a note from the jurors.

(00:57):
They wanted four pieces of key testimonyread back to them, including three
from David Pecker, the former NationalInquiry publisher who bought and buried damaging stories
for Trump, and one part oftestimony from Trump's former fixer Michael Cohen about
a Trump Tower meeting with Trump inAugust twenty fifteen, where prosecutors said the
three men hatched a conspiracy to corruptthe twenty sixteen election. What exactly was

(01:18):
the conspiracy? They didn't want badinformation to get out? Is that a
conspiracy? So No other president hasdone that. No, no other president
has ever tried to make sure thatbad information while they were a candidate or
even president running for election again thatinformation. Yet nobody else in the history

(01:42):
of man guid has ever done that. No, no, yes, of
course, if his name isn't DonaldTrump, this is not happening. I
just want everybody to understand that.Could I not say, if this right
here is a conspiracy to sway theelection? Stay with me? People,
Then the Hunter Biden laptop, whicheverybody knew was real in the FBI and

(02:07):
elsewhere, but yet they still gottogether to sign a leather all these intelligent
agencies and these people that had workedthere to say was Russian disinformation, knowing
full well they had never seen it, read it, or that some had
still wanted that to get out there, that this was rushing disinformation to sway
the election. Could I not arguethat that right there was a conspiracy?

(02:34):
Well, I guess you could.Yeah, of course, what's the jury
thinking. I can tell you asa long time trial lawyer, don't don't
drink the kool aid. Right whenyou think you think you know what that
jury is questioning, You may bewrong. You're more likely wrong. Don't
drink the kool aid because if youdo, he's gonna pop through and go,

(02:55):
oh yeah, had a horrible jokeabout Jonestown with that. But I'm
not going to do it, butyou can kind of get him. Don't
drink the kool aid. I'm notgoing to because see that's the thing.
It's like with the Supreme Court, right the way they ask questions kind of

(03:19):
gives you a sense of where they'regoing. But for this, when they
ring the bell and then they arelike, hey, we need some what
does that mean? Are they goingto strike some of this stuff? And
there's a lot of disinformation out there, and this judge is not done himself.
He's not to bathe himself in glory. If you're a neutral again,

(03:40):
if you're on Trump's side, he'sevil and bad. If you're on the
Democrat side, he's wonderful. Theneutrals, the people that are that are
just out there going I could lookat this in a very real way.
This guy's not bathed himself in anyglory. But some of the disinformation out
there. You don't even have tohave a unanimos. You do have to
have a unanim's decision, but hedid kind of make it weird where it's

(04:01):
like, you guys can agree he'sguilty, but not sure of what he's
guilty of. I'm like, well, that seems a little odd. He's
guilty of what I couldn't tell youin crucial testiment. A lot of time,
expert testimony wants to be read backbecause it's very complex, and you
can describe this as a complex case. So it's not abnormal to want to
hear testimony and jury instruction. It'snot at all. It's not abnormal.

(04:24):
It's not so who knows. Buthere's the thing that matters. Is it
doing anything? Is it shifting anyof what Biden hopes will shift people from
point A to point B? Isit shifting their thoughts about it? Is
it doing any of that? Orare they still thinking about the twenty dollars

(04:44):
big mac. Let's take a lookhere. Think Trump did something illegal in
the New York hush money case.I've been interested in whether or not these
numbers would change at all during thecourse of this trial. Simply put,
John, they have not pre openingstatements. Think Trump did something illegal?
Forty six percent after the direct examinationof Michael Combe by the prosecution. Look

(05:05):
at where we are now forty sixpercent. The percentage of Americans who think
that the chargers are very serious infact, drop from forty percent to a
little bit more than thirty five percentduring the course of this trial. So
yes, perhaps things might have changedwith those twelve jurors, but when it
comes to the larger American public, there has been no change at least,

(05:28):
so farge no change. But therehas to be changed. Why is there
no change? What are these Here'sthe thing? And I was talking last
night to my uncle about this becausehe's he's super busy. I'm you know,
and I'm doing all these things normally. You know, we talked a
bit about this. We have funwith it because like I haven't had a

(05:48):
lot of time to catch up withit. And I said, that's a
good thing, right, That's agood thing because you're busy. Most Americans
are busy. Most Americans think otherthings are more important than this. And
also a lot of Americans think thisthing is kind of vis They look at
the marl Lago thing and maybe theDC case. Those things are they look

(06:09):
at far more seriously than something theyfeel that is very political. On top
of that they're living their lives andlife is expensive. I think the question
is, what's exactly cooking here? Why hasn't there been much of a change.
While folks like you and me,real news junkies might be paying really
close attention to what's going on,the fact that most Americans don't really care

(06:30):
that much so closely following news abouteconomy inflation. That's number one, it's
sixty five percent. Look at immigrationfifty two percent, election legitimacy forty nine
percent, abortion forty seven percent. All the way down on this list of
issues tested by the IPSOS Knowledge Panelis Trump's court cases at forty two percent,
significantly less than economy inflation. Thefact is, John, when we're

(06:55):
looking at these numbers, what wesee as Americans' minds aren't changing. And
the big reason why Americans' minds aren'tchanging is at this particular point, John,
they are tuned out of the conversation. That right there says everything you
need to know. They're tuned outof the conversation because life is expensive.
They've got things going on. Inflationis kicking them in the grundle. Things

(07:20):
like McDonald's company president Joe Erlinger saysthat pricey big macmeal was only at one
location near Greenwich, Connecticut. Hesays the average price nationwide is nine to
twenty nine. Still, that's atwenty seven percent increase is before the pandemic.
Meanwhile, Chipotle is also feeling theheat. This was like twelve thirteen
dollars only get on two taxil likefaux pieces of chicken. Firing back at

(07:43):
critics online who claim their bowls area little barren, an executive now insisting
there have been no changes in Chipotle'sportion sizes that matters to people. How
about home prices? Anyone who ishouse hunting right now feels this sting.
Mortgage rates are near their highest inyears, but that hasn't stopped home values
from also climbing. Prices are upsix and a half percent from a year

(08:05):
ago, breaking records for the ninthtime since last June. Now, this
index measures prices in twenty cities, and guess what, Every single one of
them is up from a year ago. The city is experiencing the biggest bounce
Los Angeles, Cleveland, New York, and San Diego. Yeah, life
is expensive? Are you sitting aroundgoing He had enough money to pay a

(08:28):
porn start this doesn't matter to me. Whatever, go away. It's I
got other things going on, right. I got a flat tire that's going
to cost me four hundred box ofwhich I couldn't spare. My kids need
this or what. That's what peopleare paying attention to. And it's funny
because we you're listening to this,so chances are, yeah, you pay

(08:48):
attention a little bit more than theaverage person when it comes to stuff like
this. But I was, youknow, as I've looked at a lot
of these polls, I tell youwhat a lot of people who don't pay
attention. And I always want topoint this out. There is the difference
between the the stupid voter if youwill, and the I don't have time

(09:11):
for all this stuff voter. Right, Not that they're stupid, not that
they're low IQ, They're just thisstuff is low on their radar, if
you will, because they've got otherthings going on. Home prices can't afford
to buy a home. We didthat story last week. You have to

(09:33):
make like twohunred fifty grand to affordthe average house in California. I have
news for you. The average personin California doesn't make two undred fifty grand
rents two damn high groceries two damnhigh. People feel that that is why
most people outside of an entertainment valueor some salaciousness aren't paying any attention.

(09:54):
That's why the media pitches this thingas a porn star being paid off and
sex and scandal to get you topay attention, because knowing it is a
paperwork filing issue isn't as exciting.Three two, three, five, three
eight, twenty four to twenty threeat Ched Benson shows your Twitter tweeted text

(11:22):
Show. I couldn't help but wonderif part of it is your own nostalgia
for this time that feels like anotherplanet, or at least another course.
It does. But there's another elementthere that I think is the key element,
and that is an agreed upon hierarchy, which I think is absolutely vaporized
in today's moment. And I thinkthat is why people lean on the horn

(11:46):
and drive in the crazy way thatthey drive, because we have no sense
of hierarchy and its humans that wedon't really feel comfortable like that now we
don't that right. There is JerrySeinfeld. He was on with Bartie Weist
Free Press podcast talking about his newmovie on Frosted, which is on Netflix.
I highly recommend it. It isfun. But the thing he's talking

(12:09):
about is the fact that we don'thave hierarchy anymore. Right. We want
to make everything so equal and sobeige that there is no leadership and there
is nothing, There is no noneof that stuff because you want to hurt
people's feelings because of toxic masculinity. And the other thing is as a man

(12:31):
I wanted to be. I didn'task your pronouns. I've always wanted to
be a real man. I nevermade it when I was in that era.
Again, it was JFK, itwas Muhammad Ali, it was Sean
Connery. Howid goes hell, youcan go all the way down there.
That's a real man. I'm gonnaI want to be like that someday.
Oh my god, that's a realman. How dare you say that?

(12:56):
How do you don't even know thepronouns? This is again causing some controversy
for some people. It's always aboutthe toxic masculinity. So what he's really
saying is he wants people who areidentifying as female to go back in the
kitchen. I never really grew up. It's you don't want to as a
comedian because it's a childish pursuit.But I miss a dominant masculinity. Yeah,

(13:22):
I get the toxic caddy, butstill I like a real man looks
a man baby. Who doesn't likethat? I mean, honestly, who
doesn't like Do you go to moviesand you're like, you know what,
I would really like there to beno real lead in this movie, just

(13:43):
to be kind of meandering and there'snothing, and no nobody wants that.
And yet that's what like entertainment isis is throwing that out. Here's something
interesting. Furiosa, which is anew mad Max movie, came out over
the past week. I have noidea it even came out. They did
not do a good job marketing, but one of the big people, who

(14:07):
is a movie reviewer, said themovie is fun, it's exciting, it's
action packed. So many people repliedto him he had to come out and
say, no, it's not justabout girl boss power or men suck.
Hollywood's done this to themselves where it'slike I'm not gonna go see Furiosa because
you know a mad Max's you knowsaga, because now Ana Joy Taylor is

(14:33):
in the lead in the movie, and so it's just about hating men.
He came out and said, no, it's just an action movie. There's
no hating of men. There's noneof that stuff. But there's a perfect
example where Hollywood has done so muchwackiness and craziness that when we see something
they think that might be interesting, everybody's like, nah, they're going to
preach to us. It's gonna behow much men are evil and toxic and
bad. Blah blah blah blah blah. I don't want any part of that.

(14:56):
You don't know. I don't I'venot seen it. I heard it's
good. I might go see it, but I'll probably wait till the town
on the video. Judge Alito heheard the cries from the Democratic Congress people,
and he said after days of callsfor him to step aside from all
Supreme Court cases stemic from January sixth, because of two flags flown outside his

(15:18):
homes, just as Samuel Alito toldCongress he will not recuse himself. In
a letter to lawmakers, Alito wrotethat he was not involved in the decisions
to fly either of the flags atissue, and that both were raised by
his wife, Martha Ann, adding, my wife is fond of flying flags,
I am not. By the way, she love herself some flags,

(15:41):
big time, all the flags youcould think of she likes to fly.
My wife is a private citizen. She possesses the same First Amendment rights as
every other American. She makes herown decisions, and I've always honored her
right to do so. And thenthat the other flag, the appeal to
Heaven flag with the tree in it. He says, my wife is fond
of flying flags, I am not. Then he lists all the flags that
she flies at that beach house. She put up some of us which she

(16:04):
owns, by the way of patrioticflags, college flags, flag supporting sports
teams, state and local flags, flags of nations from which the ancestors of
family members came, flags of placeswe visited, seasonal flags, religious flags,
flag flags, just regular flags, white flags, green flags, or
flags flag flags. One of thethings that's very interesting. I was read

(16:25):
a couple articles yesterday. Apparently sheand the neighbors have been in a battle
for quite a while. Sounds likejustice. Leito has kind of just had
enough of all of this, andI think they're about ready for you know.
It sounds like he's like, look, we're just gonna move. It's
just easier. It's just easier tomove than you guys fight each other.

(16:48):
And I wonder what it's about. There's lots of stuff. Is it the
lawn clippings? Is that what we'refighting about? Three two, three,
five, three, eight, twentyfour to twenty three at she had Benson
shows your Twitter tweet at us textthe program coming up, a lot of
stuff more in the Trump trial.Yesterday at the end of the show,
we played something and got a lotof comments. We're gonna revisit some of

(17:08):
that about people choosing to be homeless. I'm not kidding. There are people
out there choosing to be homeless,Chad. There is talk a bit about
that. A lot of other stuffto get to, including a man who
decided, Hey, I'm gonna callinto court and do my zoom call for
my suspended driver's license while I'm driving. The story is spectacular. It's a

(17:30):
Chad Benson chick. Such Chad BensonShow, Independent Thoughts, Independent life is

(18:00):
Chad Benson we'll talk about the homelesswackado in a moment, I promise you
that. But yesterday the good doctor, doctor Jill Biden was on the view.
Now this comes the day after thecampaign apparently had Robert de Niro,
by the way, that whole RobertDanio thing, that was a campaign thing
for Biden. So the good doctorJill Biden was on the view, and

(18:25):
boy was it riveting. It wasabout his age. That really drives me
nuts, because I'm the same ageas as your husband. I know.
I have met him a couple oftimes. He seems right on top of
it. I said to him thistime he was here to work out.
He said, yes, yes, every day. What do we have to
do to tell people? The manis competent, alert and doing the job.

(18:47):
The other one is dottery. Hedoesn't remember anything, can't put a
sentence together, and has brain fartsin the middle of his paragraph. And
they go off to Joe. Thiselection is not about age, because,
like you're saying, I mean,Donald Trump's going to be what seventy eight
and Joe's eighty one, they're basicallythe same rage, right, So,
but it's about character. Now,let's break some stuff down I don't like

(19:08):
Joey Bear, but I'll be honestwith you. I mean, sure,
there's some probably some plastic surgery,a little work done there. She doesn't
look eighty or whatever she is.She doesn't act it. I don't have
to agree with her to know she'sway more with it than this character.
I promised to her access affordable highspeed internet because now internet is just as
important as was in the days ofFranklin Rosevelt. Electricity was generations ago.

(19:33):
We're delivering now because no child shouldhave to do their homework at McDonald's when
things are shut down. What Ithink what he was trying to say again,
like I said, I speak alittle Biden, was internet is as
important today as electricity was back inFDR's day. And I don't know what
the McDonald's thing was about. Youknow. The funny thing is it was

(19:53):
like, look at the gaffs, look at the stuff that, yeah,
you know, not gonna lie.Donald Trump says some wacky things and every
once in a while get stuff confused. I think we all do. The
difference is, though Donald Trump isout at times on stage right doing crowd

(20:14):
work, if you will, fortwo hours at a time, and you
can't get two hours at a podiumin a month from Biden. Continue,
good doctor. So you have twochoices. You have my husband Joe,
who you all know, who hasintegrity, he's strong, he's steady,

(20:36):
he's a leader, he's smart,he's energetic. Or you have chaos,
really chaos. Understand that. Yeah, you know, I've said this since
before Trump became president, going backand you can listen to shows back and
you know, from coming down theescalator all the way through until he became

(21:00):
president. One of the things I'vealways said about Trump is he thrives in
chaos. I think silence hurts him. He likes chaos. He loves some
of that stuff that the media lovesit as well. Let's not forget the
fact that they play their part ifTrump was trying to There are people in
your life that are chaotic, andif you stay away from them, nobody

(21:22):
in the world knows they're chaotic outsideof the people in their sphere. And
then if the media covered them, they would And so that's part of the
media as well, because they enjoyTrump. There have been people that have
thought President Biden shouldn't even debate PresidentTrump, just due to the fact that
Donal Trump will gaslight over toss stillguardrails. I think that American people deserve
a debate because you need to seeyour choices. You need to see Trump,

(21:47):
and you need to see the president, and you need to see the
differences my husband's You're going to seehow smart he is and the experience he
has. And then you'll see somebodywho, like you're saying, I'm gonna
use joy words. Can't put asentence together and everything is beautiful, and
it's one permentous big talk about gaslighting. Can't put a sentence together.

(22:08):
Really, And I'm going to saysomething else here. And it doesn't matter
if you're fifty five and you've struggled, you've had a fail because there are
people have early onset dementia and thingsof that nature. Fifty five to fifty
nine with somebody who is struggling withmental problems and you know, dementia,

(22:30):
Alzheimer's, things that nature, thoseare huge years. You know that continue,
good doctor. Consistently, we're seeingpoll after a poll that are showing
Trump beating your husband outside of themargin of era. How do you turn
those numbers around? So we aregoing to meet people where they are.
We're going to go to college campuses, We're going to go to every state
that we can get into, andthose polls are going to turn. I'm

(22:52):
confident of it because as time goeson and as people start to focus a
little bit more about what's at stakeand start to become educated on the issues
and the differences between the two men, I believe that Americans are going to
choose good over evil. Okay, first of all, stop calling Trump evil.

(23:15):
You may not like him, andhe may be an a hole,
but the evil thing needs to stop. Okay, the comparison. He's evil,
He's not evil. He's not he'snot Polepot, he's not Chairman Mao.
He's not Stalin or Hitler. He'snot Mussolini. He's not evil.

(23:40):
You may not like him. He'smean and emotions play a huge part in
so much of this. We're gonnaget to that next hour. But when
you listen to that, you knowwhat I didn't hear confidence you being a
nice person. I know a lotof nice people, but I wouldn't trust
him with a lot. Are goodpeople like having them around and they've got

(24:03):
the lane that works for them. And I know a lot of people that
maybe aren't the nicest in the world, but they get stuff done. And
when we start talking about emotions,we take out all of the logic because
we want it to be a nicecontest, a nice contest. How dangerous
the time is this for women? And how much worse could it get in
a second or third as you mentionedTrump presidency, Well, it could get

(24:27):
a lot worse under a Trump presidency. I mean, you have to believe
him when he uses words like dictator, blood bath, third term violence.
We've seen it. So when hesays these words, believe him. Don't
think this isn't going to happen. You remember before Trump was elected and then

(24:48):
he was elected and they're like,it's going to be nuclear wars everywhere.
Trump's going to take the word.None of that stuff ever happened. None
of that stuff ever happened. Bloodbath, by the way, let's go over
this again. So we're talking aboutDA He's talking about an economic situation and
the blood bath that many of thesecompanies are feeling because of the fact that

(25:10):
China is able to use slave laborundercut all of our people. And this
was the auto side of it.So not a blood bath in the streets.
So that's a lie. He said, I'll be a dictator for just
day one to undo all the thingsthat I had done before and Biden none
did it. I'm going to undothat because the assumption is every Republican is

(25:33):
so stupid and long for a dictatorthat they're going to let Trump do whatever
the hell he wants. And women'srights, absolutely, women's rights and IVF
I mean, Joe wants to codifyRoe. We have to fight hard so
we get it back because Juey, you and I remember when Roe came in

(25:53):
the law. Oh, this won'tbe taken away, but we cannot take
things for granteds think the Supreme Court, for God's say, talk about things
getting worse. Can you imagine ifwe put any more Republicans on the Supreme
Court? No, if we willlose all of our rights. So we're
talking about women's rights, gay rights, I mean we will lose our right

(26:17):
and redoms voting right. Oh God, just insane gaggling hens. If there's
another conservative one, like if wehad nine liberals, it'd be the greatest
thing in the world because then wecould craft our magical utopia and we didn't
care that we had a liberal SupremeCourt for decades and decades that didn't matter.

(26:41):
But when it started to go theright, well, now we hate
the Supreme Court, of course, because it's all based on emotion. Three
two, three, five, threeeight, twenty four to twenty three at
Chad Benton shows your Twitter tweet atUS texted program. I want to get
to this. I'm just gonna playa snippet of it, and we'll probably
do it at the beginning of nexthour. Be homeless by choice, being
almost by choice or consensual homelessness meansthat I'm choosing to be a part of

(27:03):
the homeless community. It's an interestingthing that this whack of do is doing,
and a lot of you chimed inabout it. I'm a little long
there with the whole doctor Biden stuff, but I want to talk about the
choosing to be homeless because our peoplein society that for whatever reason, and
I'm not talking people or drug addicts, I'm not talking to people some people

(27:25):
are living on the fringes of society. Talk a bit about that that next
hour as well as emotion. Itsemotion because emotion, because you listen to
doctor Joe Biden, everything is emotion. They never talked policy. Oh my
god, I got a great debatewith a couple of people yesterday about policies

(27:45):
and it was fun, it wasinteresting, and everything they were talking about
was emotion. And they recognize thatthree two, three, five, eight,
twenty four to twenty three act.You had Benson shows your Twitter,
Raycon best here about around. Youwill love your Raycons, absolutely love them.

Chad. A zoom call gone awry, Chad Benson, Joe. If you
like doc radio like Chad Benson likeshis meals, You've come to the perfect

(29:15):
place for takeout. Corey Harris wasalmost ready to join the zooms. Are
you driving, Ashley, I'm pullinginto my doctor's office. Actually, just
give me one second. Only problem. Harris was appearing at a virtual court
hearing in Washington County for a suspendedlicense. Judge Cedric Simpson didn't find it
funny. He promptly revoked Harris's bondand ordered him to turn himself in,

(29:38):
but he did note Harris was wearinga seatbelt. Yeah he did. Now
you're thinking to yourself, wait, what so this guy has a zoom call
into the court, So think aboutthis. This is just again, this
is the stupidity of the world thatwe live in now. So you've got
a zoom. Call why because yourlicense is suspended? What are you doing

(30:03):
as you're zooming? You're driving?Let's listen to some of the the case,
shall we. Mister, are youdriving, Ashley? I'm pulling into
my doctor's office. Actually, sojust give me one second. I'm parking
right now. If you're stationary,I'm pulling in right now. At the
second. Yes, I am allright. What are we doing, your

(30:26):
howner. We are specially requesting ina German in this matter up possibly four
weeks at the court would allow. So maybe I don't understand something. This
is the driving one license suspended,That is correct, your enter And he
was just driving and he didn't havea license. Yeah, okay, let's
go over this again, he goesthe judge. All right, I just

(30:49):
let me get this right. We'rehere because he's got a suspended license.
License has no longer exists at thismoment in time. It is frozen in
time. That is correct, yourhonor. And as we're zooming, I
just want to get this correct. He is driving his car without a license,

(31:11):
that is correct, your honor.Okay, I'm just trying to get
the just just trying to put itall together because He's probably thinking himself,
you can't be this stupid. Oh, but people can. Is it the
charges you're on her? Yes?No, I'm looking at his record.
He doesn't have a license, he'ssuspended, and he's just driving. I
don't even know why he would dothat. Oh. Oh, so defendant's

(31:36):
bond is revoked. In this manner, defendant is turned himself into the Washington
kind of deal by six pm today. Failure to turn himself in while we
result on the bench for it withno bond. Oh my god. I
can't believe who thinks that's a goodidea. At what point in time do

(31:56):
people honestly believe that that's like,Hey, you don't have a license,
but it's okay to drive, Andwhen you're doing that and you're hearing for
your license, you should drive acar and zoom with the court. What
are you thinking. I'm thinking you'renot very bright, speaking of courts and

(32:16):
arrest and whatnot. Scottie Scheffler trulyout of jail if he always does.
The images were hard to believe. The top ranked professional golfer in the world
in handcuffs in the middle of amajor tournament. He's going to jail Nearly
two weeks later, authorities in Louisville, Kentucky dropping all criminal charges against Scotty

(32:37):
Scheffler. Yeah, and it doesnot look good for the police. Here
is his attorney yesterday railing because themore that has come out, the more
it looks bad for the cops.Well, it's obviously didn't do anything wrong.
And as I've said repeatedly, themore evidence that comes out, the

(33:00):
more it shows that, you know, Scotty was a victim. Here a
victim. Yeah, how is Scottydoing. He's happy it's over. He
wants to move on. Yeah,he's still the best golf from the world,
so that there's a lot to besaid for that, and he's he's
glad it's over. Did he atany point in time decide to zoom into
the meeting while he was driving witha cop attached to his car? Oh,

(33:23):
by the way, there was noneof that. That was all blowning.
So remember when this happened, thewhole thing that took place. So
Scotty Scheffler best golf from the WorldPGA Championship. That's one of the you
know, the Grand Slams, oneof the big ones, right, one
of the majors. There was anaccident where somebody had died earlier in the

(33:45):
day, like early, like twoor three in the morning, and to
get into where they were playing inLouisville, you had to go down this
lane. Well, the lane waskind of cording off because there was a
fatality. He tried to go around, the cop stopped him. He was
telling him what was going on,and supposedly the cop told him to stop.

(34:05):
He didn't comply. Then he draggedthe cop attached to his car.
Apparently that never happened. That's whyyou don't talk to the police. They
are not trying to get to whathappened. They are trying to get you
to incriminate yourself. And that's whatthey were trying to do to him,
And he didn't incriminate himself. Hecontinued to show the quality of his character

(34:30):
by trying to defuse the situation.Yeah, and that's what a lot of
the new evidence apparently showed. Thenthey asked him pay. Is he going
to sue because he can right, there are absolutely grounds for a lawsuits.
He doesn't want to be involved inone again because who pays the taxpayers of
louis Scotty Scheffler doesn't want the taxpayersof Louis Will to have to pay him

(34:53):
a die. He wishes to moveforward from this case. And he's going
to good for you, scott Goodfor you. Good for you, Scottie.
And it's interesting too because remember whenhe came out this is different world.
He is one of those guys, super upstanding, you know, just
seems to be like the nicest guyin the world. Comes out and what's

(35:14):
he do after all this stuff? He thanks the cops for all their hard
work and whatnot. You knew hewasn't going to sue. He's just like,
hey, has a failure to communicate. If you will three two,
three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson
Show, is your Twitter, youcan tweet, a US texta program.
Love hearing from all of you.A lot of stuff still to get to,
obviously, the Trump trial, thosepolls, some of you are chiming

(35:35):
in on those polls. How manypeople are actually paying attention to this?
Not very many when it comes tothis case. Because this case, I
think a lot of people have alreadythought it's political. People have already made
up their mind. So that tome is very interesting. Where does the
jury go. It's going to bevery interesting going forward, So we're going

(35:57):
to talk a little bit more aboutthat. A lot of other stuff to
get to. You can reach outtalk to us directly at Chad Benson Show.
That's your x slash Twitter. Youcan text the program directly three two
three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three. Check out
the Instagram as well and Facebook. It's the Chad Benson Show. This is

(36:46):
Yesterday, late in the show,a lot of you have commented,
we played a few soundbites from somebodywho is on the streets living, unhoused,
unsheltered, and the reason they're thatway is because they want to be.
According to them, to be homelessby choice. Being homeless by choice

(37:08):
or consensual homelessness means that I'm choosingto be a part of the homeless community.
That means on a day to daybasis, I live an unsheltered lifestyle,
but I can also revoke consent atany time and go home. By
choosing to be a part of thehomeless community, even though I don't have
to, I'm helping to normalize homelessnessand reduce some of the stigma that's typically
attached to it. I'm also rejectingto participate in an unethical capitalist system of

(37:31):
consumption in favor of a more sustainablelifestyle. What the evils of capitalism?
And so many of you chimed ingoing, is that guy serious? Is
he mentally ill? I have noidea, because we know that a vast
majority of people that are on thestreets are mentally ill and or drug abuists.

(37:51):
Now which came first, That's alwaysa debate, right, was it
the drugs that caused the mental illness? Or the mental illness was there and
they use drug to try to dealwith mental illness, And that's what you
have. This person's whole thing isno Capitalism's evil and bad. And because
capitalism's evil and bad, damn it, I'm gonna live on the street.

(38:12):
Being homeless has finally giving me thefreedom to express myself that I never had
growing up in a strict suburb community. I can honestly say, being trapped
in a life that was unfulfilling witha job I hate, it wasn't much
worse. There's nothing wrong with beinghomeless. There's nothing wrong with being homeless.
That's what you choose to do.Are you committing crimes? Are you

(38:32):
crapping on the sidewalk if you wantto. You know, it's a lot
wrong with being homeless. There is, and a lot of it has to
do again with mental illness, andwe can go over we do need to
reltigate it. We don't. Butpeople said, are there really people that
live on the fringe of society? And I'm here to tell you there are.

(38:53):
When my sister was going through allthe bad stuff. And a quick
backstory of my sister. My sisterhas had a lot of kids. So
when I always talk about my littlebrothers and sisters, or actually my nieces
and nephews that my mother has adopted. So you know, I always joke
I have eleven year old, twelveyear old little brother, you know,

(39:14):
in a twenty six year old sister, and in between, I got a
bunch. But they're actually my niecesand my nephews and my mother's adopted.
My sister had drug problems, butshe had some friends out there that were
kind of like fringe society people, right, They really weren't like drug addicts.

(39:35):
They really weren't mentally ill, theyyou know, and they they some
of them, we had jobs, held down jobs. They just like living
in this fringe world. And thething was no rules. That's what they
enjoyed, no rules. Don't wantany rules, don't want society telling me
what to do, and had nothingto do with capitalism, just wanted to
not have you know. It wasn'ta hippie thing driving around in a bus,

(39:59):
surfing and smoking some weed. It'sjust an odd thing where they like
living on the fringes of society. And we have a guy that we see
all the time here and my wifehas kind of become friendly with him and
stuff. He's homeless, he's gota phone. Not mentally ill, not
crazy, right, like none ofthese you know. She talks to them

(40:20):
a lot, and you know, stuff through church and whatnot. He just
doesn't want rules, right, Andthat's just a bizarre thing. There are
people out there that are like that, but a vast majority of the people
that you see on the streets arenot there by choice. And I'm out
there trying to live, you know, on the fringe of society as some
sort of protest to capitalism. It'sbecause they're mentally ill and they have addictions,

(40:43):
and they also don't want to bein places where there's going to be
rules because they're no, they're notgoing to follow them. Oh yeah,
speaking of following rules, the jurybetter be following the rules. I don't
know if you guys are aware this. Donald Trump is on trial. This
morning, the court is going toread back testimony from two prominent witnesses,
David Pecker, the former publisher ofthe National Inquirer, and Trump's former lawyer

(41:07):
and fixer, Michael Cohen. Thejury has to hear how each of those
men testified about a meeting at TrumpTower where prosecutors said they hatched a scheme
with Trump to corrupt the twenty sixteenelection by hiding from voters lewd stories from
Trump's past. And how is that? I'm still trying to get how that

(41:27):
is election interference and corruption? Hidingstories from people, right, whatever it
is, NDAs thanks of that nature, those things are not illegal, You're
not. You know, when Ihear election interference and corruption, I think

(41:50):
somebody is actively trying to do something, breaking into the machines, whatever it
is. You want to talk aboutsome of the wackadoos and the fake electors
and stuff like, that's what Ithink, what I think of hiding a
story that to me does not riseto election interference. That doesn't I'm sorry,

(42:14):
well chat it hatt, No,it doesn't disinformation misinformation? What name
me a candidate that's not trying tobury something in their past, especially in
today's world, we want to takeeverything up. That's not trying to bury
something in their past that they don'twant to get out because they feel it

(42:34):
could hurt their chances. They're nottrying to corrupt an election. They're trying
to hide stuff, and a lotof times it's just ridiculous, it's stupid,
silly, whatever it is, whetherit's a picture of you and blackface
from college or what that you wantthat buried? So does that also make

(42:57):
it then election interference? Because wedidn't have a chance to see that,
and we would have made a differentchoice. Maybe Among the seven men,
five women jury to lawyers, ateacher, a physical therapist, and their
five hours of deliberations have already changedthe vibe at this courthouse. The lawyers
seem a little more tense, thecourt security officer is more rigid. As

(43:22):
a jury gets ever closer in thislandmark trial, ever closer in the Landmer
trial. Is it a landmark trial? Well, it is. Jonathan Turley
thinks that them asking for some ofthis stuff is telling I don't know.

(43:42):
I don't know. I couldn't tellyou what they're thinking at this point in
time. I think the the Idon't think anybody knows what they're thinking because
and also some of the stuff thatthe the judge says kind of was odd
about, like, well, youcan convict him of stuff, but you

(44:07):
could also not know what the convictionis. I'm paraphrasing here, So you
could say, hey, I thinkhe's guilty. I just know what he's
guilty of, which is not agood place to be. But you don't
know what any of these people arethinking. I can tell you as a
long time trial lawyer, don't drinkthe kool aid right when you think you

(44:28):
think you know what that jury isquestioning. You may be wrong. You're
more likely wrong. Yeah, Soyou just don't know. I mean,
do I think there's going to bean acquittal? Those people keep asking me
everywhere I go. You know, people, it was Dad, listen to
your show with this and the otherpeople I play pickleball with Yesterday, I
had to do some things, andit was doing some work other places,
and people are asking me, youknow, what do you think, and

(44:52):
I think, look, I don'tthink he's going to be acquitted. I
don't. I could see a hungjury possibly. I think more likely what
they're gonna do is he'll be acquittedon some there'll be some minor things they

(45:12):
find him guilty on. But aswe've heard from the polls, nobody cares.
Nobody cares their busy living life. And this is not swayed anybody at
all. This is more a mediathing and a people who love Trump and
people who hate Trump thing than itis the average person who's got stuff going
on. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four twenty

(46:44):
Some fun stuff to get to andemotion, Yeah, I got some emotion
in here. Maybe some COVID stuffas well. Chad Benson, Joe,
you're listening to the Chad Benson Show. I am being so honest and so

(47:05):
truthful. When I say that JoeBiden is definitely, hands down at one
of the best presidents that has becomearound in our lifetime and that we will
ever see in our lifetime, andeverybody in my comments are saying things like
he's the worst president ever. He'sruining our country. Like give me an
example, please, because I votedfor him last time and I will one
thousand percent be voting for him again. And if you don't, you are
homophobic, you're racist, you're transphobic, and you should just leave America.

(47:30):
Ah, no emotion there. Soyou want some examples. Okay, the
economy inflation lands on you border. There's another example. What a nightmare that
is. We're just getting started kids. Afghanistan. Oh jeez, jed Every
global decision that's out there currently rightnow, which we can go back in

(47:50):
time, and many people have saidthis over and over again that have worked
with Joe, who liked Joe allsaid the same thing. He's been wrong
on every geopolitical decision you can thinkof. Dealing with Israel right now,
and the way he's gone about thatIran as they run towards a bomb.
There are so many things, butwhen you listen to that that shows me

(48:12):
something, and we're gonna get toit in a little bit about emotion logic
versus emotion, chaos and all ofthe stuff that's on out there. This
person is all about emotion, andwe'll deal with emotion in a second.
But then you start to realize, wait a minute here, this lady isn't
being serious. She's doing something else. She's being sargaistic. The man is

(48:37):
just so kind hearted, and hecares about every single one of his citizens.
And don't even get me started abouthow much he has done worldwide,
Like aren't you just so happy abouthow much money he's given away to help
Ukrainians? Doesn't it just like fillyour heart up to know that you're helping
those people out and opening our bordersto eleven million people to come in and
access everything that America has. Genuinely, I think that should double the number

(49:00):
in the next six months. Andoh my gosh, don't even get me
started over Easter. The fact thathe removed Easter as a holiday and instead
put trans day of Visibility in place. I mean that should be done years
ago, because why would you needa whole nother day to celebrate something that
doesn't even exist. Wait a minute, I'm feeling like you're being sarcastic,

(49:20):
ma'am. You seem to be theregular little blo at first, but she
did a pivot. She went sarcasticand then just putting Biden aside when you
even just take a look at thecompetitor right now, Like Trump, he's
the worst person ever. The manliterally paid for a prostitute. Why would
you ever pay somebody to have coituswith you? At least Bill Clinton when

(49:42):
he was in office, he hadthe class to make sure that that was
hidden under the rug, Like youneed to be hush hush about these things.
And Trump's just like out here givingpeople money for it. Is that
really what you want our country tobe known for? A little sarcas in
there? Speaking of Biden, let'stalk about economics, the economy, sir.
It's about time we stopped this lookingat this trickle down economy where you

(50:07):
say, okay, if they're superwealthy, do well, we will trickle
down on our plates and things willbe well. My dad say, not
a damn thing trickle down his kitchentable. No, I'm serious. I
always laugh about the trickle down thingbecause it's going to trickle down. That's
life. If you're an employee,it trickles down from somebody else. Right,

(50:28):
if you are capitalism's evils bad, government should run everything. Where do
you think that comes from. Ittrickles down from the government. It's coming
from somewhere, guys, Rain's notcoming from the ground. Oh jeez.
More from Biden and some of hisfun stuff. Hey remember last week when
he went to Morehouse and he's like, hey, all you people here are
black. You got to work athousand times harder than white people. It's

(50:52):
stacked against you. America hates youthat you know, you have no chance
and there's too reason to be awasted I said if we didn't, but
I want to prove to everybody it'snot a damn thing that a white man
can do a black man can't door do better. I mean, it's
to see that. Yeah, that'snot what you said Morehouse. You basically
said they have no chance. Yougot that degree. It's useless because you

(51:15):
know, white people inherent insanity andracism that's out there each and every day,
and that's it. Every white personwakes up and the first thing they
think is how do I destroy it? Black? No they don't. No,
they don't. How would you know, Because I'm a white person.
Okay, I can't speak for beinga black person, but I can't speak
for being a white person. Ohmy goodness. Me one more fun thing

(51:37):
from Biden. How about that Internet. I promised to access affordable high speed
internet because now internet is just asimportant as was in the days of Franklin
Roosevelt. Electricity was generations ago. We're delivering now because no child should have
to do their homework at McDonald's whenthings are shut down. What are you

(51:59):
talking about. I don't know.I think what he was trying to say
is the internet is as important todayas electricity was back in the day.
I speak a little Biden, andI don't know how we got to McDonald's.
I have no idea the whole McDonald'sthing, but we were talking earlier
that the joke about names some stuffthat Biden has done that has has been

(52:21):
an absolute nightmare and a failure. The whole Ukraine thing and not allowing them
to attack the Russians even though they'rebeing attacked because of fear of escalation.
That's his big fear that it's goingto escalate. The uns like they of
course, they should be able toattack. They should absolutely be able to
defend themselves. They shouldn't allow theRussians to just continue to bumpbard them.

(52:46):
You've got many of the European countrieswho quite frankly aren't the toughest round saying
we'll give you weapons, you guyscan attack Russia. Is that changing well?
In Moldova, Secretary of State AnthonyBlinken was asked for clarification on his
remarks that the US government has adaptedand adjusted as necessary as the war between

(53:07):
Russia and Ukraine evolves. Adapt andadjust means exactly that the question by a
reporter comes as the US has hesitatedto support where Ukraine can strike inside Russia,
including for example, by the differentkinds of weapons systems that we and
allies and partners have provided to Ukraine. He said, Ukrainians need to make
their own decisions on how to bestdefend themselves. I think Blinken has a

(53:30):
much different opinion than Biden does.Biden's been wrong on pretty much every geopolitical
international event that you can think of, and why shouldn't they because there's a
fear that they may what escalate,So you're just gonna allow We're going to
spend billions of dollars and allow themto defend, but not go on the

(53:54):
offense to defend, just to defend. Okay, solid move three, two,
three, four, twenty three AtChad Benson Shows Your Twitter. It's
a Chad Benson show, a ChadBenson show, independent thoughts, independent life.

(54:35):
This is Chad Benson. It's unfortunate. Not always, but when you're
making big decisions like voting, it'sunfortunate. We live in a time where
emotion is the only thing that matters. Speaking of emotion, let's have some
fun and some musical accompaniment to startthis segment, Little Lisa, Lisa and

(54:55):
the cult cham. It takes meback, doesn't it relish lusting emotion?

(55:16):
Oh? Man, I'm going wayback, Sarah, Sarah, What are
you talking about, Chad? Emotion? Yeah, emotion shouldn't be the driver
of everything. Whenever we talk aboutTrump, what is it always about?
It's about him, It's never aboutpolicy. But a couple like zoom like
calls over the last couple of daysand doing stuff and this comes up.

(55:38):
And I don't know why because wehave nothing to do with it. I
know why because I am a personwho does this for a living. I
talk for a living, politics, pop culture, all those things, and
they want to talk to me aboutit. I'm not Yeah, I'm here
to talk business about other things. But a couple of the people were very

(56:00):
upset. They can't stand Trump. And the entire time I'm talking to him,
I'm like, I don't disagree withhow you feel about him as a
person. I don't disagree about this. I don't disagree about that, But
how can you like him? Isaid, who said I like him?
But why would you vote for him? I said, nothing that you said

(56:23):
had anything to do with policy. It had to do with him as a
person, It had to do withall of those You threw logic out and
just went with feelings. And they'relike, oh yeah, but I still
don't lie. I said, look, don't vote for him. I don't
care do don't don't vote for anybody. But if we're going to do something,

(56:46):
let's have a conversation about the policies. Okay, not the he's a
Richard. Here's a big Derek,and I don't like him. Says mean
things that he tweeted, mean things, and he's he's no Okay, take
that away. Tell me the policyyou don't like, and that brings me

(57:07):
to this. This is a confrontationtreating a man and a woman. The
dude has to be a person ofcolor wearing a maga hat. No it's
not my uncle. Get out yourhat. And the way it makes people
feel because it incites fear and allthose around us, every person keep a
marrade. That's because the mainstream mediais a narrative that's painted Donald Trouble the

(57:32):
racist. I don't agree with that. I don't agree with the narrative.
I'm out here to try to sharethat that that narrative is skewed. Oh
interesting, you're out there to showhey, that narrative is skewed. But
listen to her how it makes herfeel and how it makes so many other
people feel. Not Hey, ispolicies are bad for the country. We
can argue that all day. I'mnot a fan of all of his policies.

(57:55):
I'm not a fan of anybody's policiesstraight across the board, one hundred
percent. But she never talked aboutpolicies. She talked about how it made
her feel. And then she getsinto the situation here that I see so
many people, as particularly on theliberal side, get into not saying that

(58:15):
Republicans can't be emotional, because theycan be. We know that you have
a kind of emotion times anger. But that being said, listen to what
she says here, and this isa perfect example of how so much of
the narrative gets crafted for Trump. That has zeroed again. We have not
talked policy, human being, fearand not logic. Wait wait, you

(58:39):
said I should have pay attention toemotions and not facts. Why would I
pay attention to emotions in this world? No emotions are real. Facts are
facts. No, no, No, emotions are real. That they may
be real for you. Your emotionsmay be real for you, but they're
not based on any the logic that'sout there, not based on any of

(59:04):
the facts. You know, wehear all day that it's gonna be chaos,
it's the end of the world.Told we heard that before when Trump
was present. Remember, he's gonnatake us into wars. It's gonna be
NonStop wars. We got out ofstuff. It's gonna be this. It's
gonna be that. We're all stillhere, We're all still standing. Set
it over and over again. Ifone man could tear down the system like

(59:27):
that, then the system was boundto go. And it's time that we
pivot from this great experiment a littlebit more from the emotions. I find
that it is hard to trust others. You shouldn't trust the mainstream media.
You should like shirt listening, andthat is saying that don't havest knowledge to
operate in darkness. No, golook up fact. So look up like
actually statistics and fact. We don'tresearch. There you go. But emotions

(59:53):
change. And that is just theperfect example of too often the things I
see happening, and I call peopleout on the right foard as well.
You know, it's like I seewhat like MTG and a lot of those
people out there do. They'll playon people's emotions. They're coming to assassinate
the president. Never gonna happen. It's you know, all of those I'm

(01:00:19):
straight up across the board. Youcan't let emotions dictate. And as I
was talking, and even last nightwe were on this call and stuff,
and I was talking to my uncleas well, and I said, hey,
guys, so let me tell yousomething I said, as a guy
used to do sales and stuff likethat within the financial world, let me
tell you, emotions are the greatestsales vehicle on the planet. When you
listen to people, whether it's DonaldTrump or Joe Biden, they're selling you

(01:00:43):
on emotions and nobody wants it.And part of that's on us because we're
not interested in policy. Policy's boring. We need to be entertained along the
way, which sucks, but that'sthe reality. And I said to them,
the hardest people because it was likea sales call thing. So the
hardest people in the world to sellare engineer's mathematicians because they're only here based

(01:01:07):
in logic and facts and when they'relooking at right, it's very rarely did
I get an engineer when I waswhen I was selling in trading in the
world of commodities, that didn't wantto do certain things themselves. They didn't
want any kind of help, theydidn't want any they're breaking it down themselves.
They're doing it for a lot ofother people. You can sell that
fear of missing out, that yolothat you're gonna have the first one on

(01:01:29):
the block you're gonna have. Youcan sell that because it's going to be
an emotion based move. She's sittingthere screaming at this guy, feelings are
the only thing that matters. Nologic matters. I'm not saying feelings don't
matter in love, in family,in life. You can even have passion
about politics, but it should berooted in reality. So when I tell

(01:01:52):
everybody who says I hate Trump, and I said, why do you hate
it? He's a this or he'sthat. Okay, but what are the
policies that you hate? He's athis or he's that. But tell me
the specific policy that you dislike.Don't tell me I don't like him because

(01:02:12):
he's a this, he's a meaning, he's a racist, he's a home
of whatever blowney that you want tothrow out there, because it's easy to
do, spell it out specifically.I don't like the blah blah blah blah
blah because of this whatever it istax cuts for the rich. And then
you find out, well, whenyou go look at it actually benefited a
lot of people, including the middleclass. Well there he goes, okay,

(01:02:35):
what about but still it's only aboutthe rich. It's only break it
down why you don't like a specificpolicy, Like for me, when it
comes to somebody like Joe Biden, there's a lot he is indecisive, He
is feckless. He thinks he hasto respect the world because he thinks he
could talk his way in and outof everything through an academic way, which

(01:02:57):
can't just be done because a he'snot a good salesperson and b he makes
always the wrong choices when it comesto things like international policy. He hims,
he haws, he waits, there'sa red line, there's not a
red line. That's just one ofmany things we could talk about. But
if your argument is he's a meaniand he hurts my feelings, that's not
a good argument. Three two, three, five, three, eight,

Joe running with Scissors sounds great comparedto this. The Smithsonian's National Zoo announced

(01:04:50):
two giant Pandas will be arriving inDC from China later this year. This
comes just six months after the emotionalfarewell for the Zoo's beloved giant Pandas,
Tien Tien Mae Schung and their cubwho went to China last November. The
new pandas are nearly three years old, female Ching Boo and male Boo le
Ballei has Washington, DC roots. He's the son of Booboo, a female

(01:05:13):
giant panda who was born at theNational Zoo in twenty thirteen, and he's
the grandson of Tien Tien and MaeShong. Wow, there's a lot of
lineage there. By the way,if he's born here, is that panda
technically an American? I think so, No, you can't have him.
So we got Booboo, Mau Mao, Tao, Tao mingling. A lot

(01:05:35):
of lineage there. Oh panda bears, Oh panda bears, We're getting them
back. Baby. China's doing everythingto distract us. Biden's probably walking around
going they give us back pandas.Who cares what they do with Taiwan.
We got pandas even though they couldattack Taiwan at any given time. And

(01:05:56):
what are we going to do aboutit? Honestly, what will we do?
No thing? It's the problem Ihave. You know, people ask
me why Trump over Biden? Simple. I look at the world and I
think we've talked all day about thethe the inflation stuff, which is massive
border issues, obviously, but ona geopolitical thing, right, So just

(01:06:23):
break it down that get rid ofall the other stuff. Just look at
it geopolitically global issues. Joe Bidenis awful. He has always been bad,
going back as a senator and thenas Vice president, and look at
him now. The the waffling onwhat to do in Israel, the ridiculous

(01:06:47):
peer that was built and sank, then it was kind of being rebuilt again.
I mean, we can go onand on, right, he was
the no when it comes to thingslike I don't know Osama bin Laden,
the pull out in Afghanistan, whichhe's never recovered from. I want everybody,

(01:07:11):
when you go back and we relookat this time and you know,
a decade or two, as wetend to do, right, you know,
if there is one thing that youpoint at, one thing, one
incident that you point at that changedso much of this, it was that
pull out in Afghanistan. And thenlet's not forget we then bombed a bunch

(01:07:34):
of innocent people. Oh yeah, some dude who went out to get you
know, I don't know, wateror something coming back from hard day's work
and boom, family's dead. Thatwas the mastermind he has been wrong in

(01:07:57):
so many many occasions, and thatis a bigger issue than the feelings of
a lot of people. Speaking offeelings, Oh what are you doing to
that crosswalk? Spokane city leaders aresounding the alarm about hate in the city
after that Pride crosswalk in downtown wasset on fire Thursday morning. The day

(01:08:18):
after a group of people set fireto that Pride crosswalk in downtown Spokane,
dozens of city leaders came together toshow their support for the LGBTQ community.
So it was just spray painting. Now it's flammable. So the violence is
escalating. We need your help, and so let me apologize for anything the

(01:08:38):
church has ever done that might contributeto the hate we are currently seeing.
It's how we show up for eachother and our families and our homes and
our communities in our neighborhoods. Wegot to show people some love. Oh,
for God's sake, stop being sucha bitch. They shouldn't have done
that. I was the other daysomebody peeled out on one of those things,
right one of those crosswalk, andthey're like, that's a hate crime.

(01:09:01):
I'm like, really, that's ahate crime. If it was an
American flag and you peel down onit, would it be a hate crime?
Now, if you burn an Americanflag is a free speech or a
hate crime? It's free speech.Burn a pride flag, well that might
be a hate crime, just insane. But listen, first of all,

(01:09:21):
why are you lighting it on fire? Get over yourself there too. You
guys need to be raised better. That's all I'm saying. Speaking of being
raised better. Jerry Seinfeld longing forthe days of yours. He was on
a podcast talking about his new Netflixshow and Frosted, which is hilarious.
By the way, You should totallycheck it out. It's pure entertainment,

(01:09:42):
that's all it is. Don't goin there looking for a message of something.
It's a loosely based true story onthe battle for Breakfast back in the
day. I couldn't help but wonderif part of it is your own nostalgia
for this time that feels like anotherplanet, or at least another pers But
there's another element there that I thinkis the key element, and that is

(01:10:04):
an agreed upon hierarchy, which Ithink is absolutely vaporized in today's moment,
and I think that is why peoplelean on the horn and drive in the
crazy way that they drive because wehave no sense of hierarchy and its humans
that we don't really feel comfortable likethat. Yeah, we do. We

(01:10:27):
like a higher It's like I alwaystell people with kids, right, kids,
no matter what you say, theycrave discipline. They do. They
want discipline, not hard ass discipline. They want to know somebody's there,
somebody's leading. That's part of growingup in life. And he's talking about
the fact that we've kind of goneaway from all of that stuff because of
toxic masculinity. And the other thingis as a man, can I sell

(01:10:50):
I've always wanted to be. Ididn't ask your pronouns. I've always wanted
to be a real man. Inever made it when I was that in
that era. Again, it wasJFK, it was Muhammad Ali, it
was Sean Connery, Howard goes Hell, you can go all the way down
there. That's a real man.I'm gonna I want to be like that
someday. Yeah, well, thoseguys were toxic and evil. Again.

(01:11:14):
He's on a podcast, The FreePress with Barrie Weiss. Of course she
used to be uh. They broughther in after Trump was elected to New
York times to go, hey,I didn't know that anybody would even vote
for Trump. There are people thathave different ideas outside of Manhattan, and
she's like yeah, and then whenher idea is juxtapost against their beliefs and
ideas, they fired her. Butthis is her podcast, The Free Press,

(01:11:35):
and by the way, check outThe Free Press. It's great.
It's it's her writers and the peoplethat she has. It's it's amazing.
I never really grew up. It'syou don't want to as a comedian because
it's a childish pursuit. But Imiss a dominant masculinity. Yeah, I
get the toxic non caddy, butstill I like a real man. Yeah,

(01:11:59):
there's nothing wrong all that. No, there is. There's absolutely nothing
wrong with that. And we needmore men to be men, we do.
We need more of that, andthere's a you know, we're missing
out on that. We we're robbingchildren, especially young boys, of so
much stuff in today's world, andwe've set it up to in many cases,

(01:12:20):
especially education whatnot, it's all aboutthe girls. And it is a
tough situation for you because I'm raisinga young man and there's a lot of
crap. You just sit there andgo Are you kidding me? Like?
Come on three, two, three, five, three, eight, twenty
four to twenty three at Chad BensonShow's your Twitter tweet at as text to
program. But I always remind himevery day. All that being said,

(01:12:42):
Jack, you be you. Butremember you're born in the greatest country in
the world, and that's always abonus. It's a Chad Benson show.
This is the Chad Benson Show,Independent Thoughts, Independent life. This is

(01:13:20):
Chad Benson. Don your mark, get set deliberate now what mose waitlese.
Wait, the jury's going to comeout eventually. May ask for some things.
We have a snack, I'd togo to the bathroom. We just
wait, Okay, it's waiting.Just here we go, waiting, waiting

(01:13:40):
and waiting. Yes, that's right, kids, Trump Trial, Doom,
doom? What's going on? Juryhas it? This morning? The court
is going to read back testimony fromtwo prominent witnesses, David Pecker, the
former publisher of the National Inquirer, and Trump's former lawyer and fixer, Michael
Cohen. The jury asked to hearhow each of them. Those men testified
about a meeting at Trump Tower whereprosecutors said they hatched a scheme with Trump

(01:14:04):
to corrupt the twenty sixteen election byhiding from voters lewd stories from Trump's past.
Okay, hiding from voters stuff? Is that criminal? I'm asking for
everybody. Did they subvert the voting? Did they hack into stuff? Was

(01:14:25):
the Russians? Okay, let's comeback to reality. Did they do any
of those those things? I'm curiousbecause when I hear that, doesn't every
politician do that in the last election, which Trump and Biden were part of.
Was there not a concerted effort bythe media and people inside of the
government to subvert information about a laptopthat was abandoned by somebody close to the

(01:14:53):
president? I think we know whatwe're talking about, and we were told
by government officials that it was fake, knowing well it was real. Was
that not a way to subvert informationthat could have benefited Trump, therefore hurting

(01:15:14):
the election. I'm asking for afriend. Speaking of the jury, among
the seven men, five women, jury to lawyers, a teacher, physical
therapist, and their five hours ofdeliberations have already changed the vibe at this
courthouse. The lawyers seem a littlemore tense. The court security officers more
rigid as a jury gets ever closer. In this landmark trial, I love

(01:15:39):
Erica Terci. It changed the vibeat the courthouse. The vibe is not
the same. We used to bevibing everywhere, We're not vibing now.
Okay, Now, what do Ithink is going to happen? Continually get
this all the time. I thinkJonathan Turley has been saying stuff that I've

(01:16:01):
thought, but he says it ina much better way because he is really
brilliant when it comes to law stuff. I still believe that the choice between
a hung jury and a partial convictionon some counts, I do think a
hung jury has to be high upthere, if not the more likely scenario,
But we all don't know. Thething that you're looking for, obviously

(01:16:24):
is the note on a deadlock. But keep in mind that if the jury
comes out on a deadlock, whichwould be great news for the defense,
it's not the end. What willhappen is that the judge will then give
what we say in the federal systemis an Allen charge or modified Alan charge,
and it's maasically a two by fourto the head of the jury,
and it says, look, alot of people spend a lot of time

(01:16:45):
on this. You need to goback, do your job, listen to
each other, reach a conclusion andthe interest of everyone, Yeah, go
do that. What is he saying. He's essentially saying they could come out
and go. Look, three ofus do not believe he is guilty.
Two of us think he's guilty ona few things, but not everything.

(01:17:08):
There's no unanimous decision on anything, and so we don't think we're going to
come to a conclusion. And thejudge will look at them and say,
listen here, your dumbasses. You'resupposed to go in there and get a
guilty Wait, no, hold on, No, he's not supposed to do
you're supposed to go in there. He's supposed to be impartial. And a

(01:17:28):
lot of people were trd on this, right, Like they showed up every
day, They got dressed, theyleft their house, the showered, they
read a lot of paper. Theytook a lot of time to come down
here and do stuff. Okay, right, many of you, like Stormy
Daniels, came here and she talkedabout all the stuff you do. You

(01:17:50):
guys remember that, Yeah, MichaelKohne, you guys remember all of those
things I'm here, we're in therobe. So as we would say in
soccer, they would send him backand say we're gonna have to get extra
time. There is no tie,and if we can't come to conclusion there,

(01:18:11):
then we've got to decide. Dowe just say screw it, We're
not going to do it again,or we're gonna redo this whole thing over.
So we'll see what takes place.Does it matter? Do you really
care? According to polls, mostpeople don't care. It's not move the
pole an inch, no way.Yeah, yeah, I know. And

(01:18:33):
it's funny when you listen to peopletalk about like the polls and you listen
like to see an ends of theworld, they're they're shocked, like what,
no, no movement. Let's takea look here. Think Trump did
something illegal in the New York hushmoney case. I've been interested in whether
or not these numbers would change itall during the course of this trial.

(01:18:56):
Simply put, John, they havenot pre opening statements thing Trump did something
illegal. Forty six percent after thedirect examination of Michael Combe by the prosecution.
Look at where we are now.Forty six percent. The percentage of
Americans who think that the chargers arevery serious. In fact, drop from
forty percent to a little bit morethan thirty five percent during the course of

(01:19:17):
this trial. So yes, perhapsthings might have changed with those twelve jurors,
but when it comes to the largerAmerican public, there has been no
change at least so far. Why. Well, amongst the twelve jurors,
he talked about that, and thesimple reason is, you're not sitting there

(01:19:38):
all day. You got stuff goingon. You got kids, you got
a life, you got a business, you got work, you got school,
whatever it is, retirement, vacation, hitting golf balls, pickleballs,
you got other things going on,and most importantly, you gotta pay your
bills. I think the question is, what's exactly cooking here? Why hasn't
there been much of a change.Well, folks like you and me,

(01:20:00):
real news junkies, might be payingreally close attention to what's going on,
the fact that most Americans don't reallycare that much so closely following news about
economy inflation, that's number one. It's sixty five percent. Look at immigration
fifty two percent, election legitimacy fortynine percent, abortion forty seven percent.
All the way down on this listof issues tested by the IPSOS Knowledge Panel

(01:20:24):
is Trump's court cases at forty twopercent, significantly less than economy inflation.
The fact is, John, whenwe're looking at these numbers, what we
see as Americans minds aren't changing. And a big reason why Americans minds aren't
changing is at this particular point,John, they are tuned out of the
conversation and you're not tuning them in. Is it because they don't care?

(01:20:48):
I think you know, too oftenthere's always this like the low IQ voter,
and it makes it seem like they'restupid. Now, there are some
people out there stupid. I thinkwe all understand that you're an idiot,
shed whatever. But it's people thatare tuned out they can understand it.
There's a reason the media is itframed this thing, and part of that's

(01:21:11):
on us because we need to beentertained. Like I said before, there's
the reason the inner the media. You know, the way that they framed
this thing was the Stormy Daniels hushmoney trial about a porns. It was
none of those things. This isa financial crime. This is a bookkeeping
crime. Like could you mention tonighton the bookkeeping crime of the year.

(01:21:31):
It's not sexy so to get eyesyou got throughout the salaciousness. But we
got other things going on. Wegot inflation kicking us in the groundle right,
your kids got needs something. Everytime I turn around, kid needs
this, kid needs that. Yougo to the grocery store. You're in

(01:21:51):
sticker shock. Like those things areall going on. And in the big
picture of how does this affect,it doesn't cause. And even people I
talk to who can't stand Trump,go, look, if I was to
be fair, it's kind of astupid trial. Now, we could talk

(01:22:12):
about the mar A Lago trial,we could talk about the DC trial to
feel a lot less political than this. But this has no bearing on anything
because I think most people realize it'skind of a sham and it's more about
the people that are prosecuting it andthe Trump derangement folk than it is about
trying to find some sort of justicefrom something that happened in what two thousand
and six or eight good god, three two three, five, three eight,

(01:22:35):
twenty four to twenty three at ChadBenson shows your Twitter. It's not
like if they find him guilty ornot guilty, you go to your bank

bucks because Trump's guilt or innocence doesn'twork that way. So people have other

find out what's trending. What's trending? Signed James Dean, Norway, Oman,

(01:24:36):
Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Serenowhat trumping? That's fine. I
was treading on the old interwebs onthis beautiful Thursday Friday light as the kids

(01:24:57):
would call it. What do weshort today? How about it's over on
Yahoo Minnesota Vikings not yeah, theMinnesota Vikings. Sean Diddy Combs has so
much stuff coming out about him.I think he's in trouble. That's just
me. When they're bringing in peopleto talk to the Grand Jury. Yeah,

(01:25:18):
it feels like there is a troublea Brewin, Levi Wright, Scripts,
National Spelling Bee, Taylor Swift,Donald Trump, Shanaia Twain, French
Open, Pete Alonzo, and DarnelleNurse all trending on Yahoo. Head over
to Google Rafa Israel hasn't crossed Biden'sred line. Nobody knows where the red

(01:25:42):
line is and if there is aprecursor to the red line as far as
like, is it the going in, because that's kind of what they're saying,
is that if they go in onfoot, like bombing is okay.
I mean, it's just I haveno idea what his redline is. Bb

(01:26:08):
dat, Yahoo has no idea.It is a joke that they're talking about
this. We support our allies. What took place the other day was awful
once again, though never ever askingthe question is why are two of a
Hamas's big dudes hanging out with abunch of refugees Willie Nelson Scottie Scheffler.

(01:26:30):
They dropped all charges. Very interestingin that we touched on a little bit
earlier. Just a so if youguys don't rememberge nver one golfer in the
world playing in the PGA Championship, gets arrested on Friday morning because there was
a fatality. He had nothing todo with it. He was showing up

(01:26:51):
at the course, tried to goaround to get into the place. Cop
said that he tried to stop Scottyand Scotty dragged him. You know,
he held on for dear life andScotty dragged him with his car. Find
out none of that is true.So what a joke. Interer Miami,
Morgan Freeman trending Kylie Kelsey. Weplayed a little bit of that yesterday.

(01:27:14):
So this is Jason Kelsey's wife gotinto a fight, very white, trashy
style. It's kind of interesting.Oh my goodness to me and Judge Alito.
We'll get to him in a second. Head over to Twitter to Niro,
still trending, Mother Teresa Donald TrumpSwifties for Palestine, because apparently now

(01:27:35):
Swifties and these are the people thatshould be totally, totally the leader in
all geopolitical stuff are now bringing Palestinianflags and imploring Taylor to get involved to
stop the war. Just so,oh my god. Josh Gibson, a

(01:28:00):
baseball player Negro League player who hasnow been essentially added to the record books
along with several other Negro League playerswho broke records and who had records into
Major League Baseball. So they've integratedthe records now, which I think is
a good thing. Jerry Seinfeld trendingas well. Judge Alito again trending.
Why is Judge Alito trending because ofthe upside down flag and because he's an

(01:28:26):
evil person because he's conservative judge? In letters to Congressional Democrats, Justice Samuel
Alito insists he didn't even know theAmerican flag was flying upside down outside his
Northern Virginia home until it was calledto his attention. Alito says he asked
his wife to take it down, but quote for several days, she refused.
Alito also says his wife was solelyresponsible for flying the Appeal to Heaven

(01:28:50):
flag over the couple's beach house onthe Jersey Shore. He says the old
historic flag was never intended to associatethe Alito's with the Stop the Steel movement.
Oh sure, sure, sure, yeah, that's right. So the
kerfuffle is they want him the conservativeside of the court, to recuse himself

(01:29:12):
from some of the Trump hearings.Because the upside down flag apparently meant,
hey, we're stopping the steal. There were other flags there too, and
that was some of the stuff thatI found to be hilarious, because apparently
she likes, she like herself someflags. My wife is a private citizen.
She possesses the same First Amendment rightsas every other American. She makes
her own decisions, and I've alwayshonored her right to do so. And

(01:29:33):
then the other flag, the appealto Heaven flag with the tree in it.
He says, my wife is fondof flying flags. I am not.
Then he lists all the flags thatshe flies at that beach house she
put up, some of which sheowns, by the way of patriotic flags,
college flags, flag supporting sports teams, state and local flags, flags
of nations from which the ancestors offamily members came, flags of places we

(01:29:56):
visited, seasonal flags, religious flags. Lots of flags, is what we're
saying. Lots of flags. Sothere you go. He will not recuse
himself. And now the the therumblings of court packing is beginning again,
which is always interesting. Court pack, court back, court pack, and
the Trump trial is of course trendingeverywhere. Will we get a verdict.

(01:30:17):
Well' we get a verdict, whatwill that verdict mean? We talk a
little bit about that. Actually, when you look at the polls, what
are people paying attention to? Surprise? Surprise, surprise, not so much
in this case? What talk aboutthat? A lot of other things to
get through three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to
twenty three At Chad Benson Show isyour Twitter You can tweet at his texted

(01:30:40):
program. Love hearing from every singleone of you. It is the Chad
Benson Joe, The Chad Benson Show, Independent Thoughts, Independent Life. This

(01:31:10):
is Chad Benson. We've been talkinga lot today about emotions, devoting emotions
fair. It's a great way tosell something, and that's what politicians have
become really good at. How canthey scare you into voting for him?
And they've done it for years.Again, nobody's into the logic. Let's
look at the policies. What's goingto help, what's gonna hurt? It's
not very exciting again, it's likewatching paint dry. But Ken Burns is

(01:31:33):
a perfect example of somebody over theweekend who gave a speech at Brandeis and
now he's all over the place talkingabout it. He's a documentary filmmaker.
Ken Burns came out and gave thespeech, and of course the speech was
Donald Trump is evil, because that'sthe speech you give nowadays, easy to
do, which brings me to amoment I've dreaded and forces me to suspend

(01:31:54):
my long standing attempt at neutrality. There is no real choice this November.
There is only the perpetuation, howeverflawed and feeble you might perceive it,
of our fragile two hundred and fortynine year old experiment, or the entropy
that will engulf and destroy us ifwe take the other route. Oh my

(01:32:16):
god, it's never ending. It'sevil, he's bad, he's all the
things and never ending addiction. It'sover. It's never been more serious than
this. You better vote the otherway. Do not be seduced by easy
equalization. There is nothing equal aboutthis equation. We are at an existential
crossroads in our political and civic lives. This is a choice that could not

(01:32:40):
be clearer. It could not beclearer. What is it. It's do
this or else. So that's it. Yep, Let's do this or else
else. The world's coming to anend, or else it's over or else,
it's all falling apart or else,or else or else, Joe Biden
yesterday, Doctor Joe Biden to youon the view. So you have two

(01:33:03):
choices. You have my husband Joe, who you all know, who has
integrity, he's strong, he's steady, he's a leader, he's smart,
he's energetic. Or you have chaos. He's strong, he's energetic, he's
a leader, he's all of thethings. Or chaos. Oh, the
world comes to an end, chaoswill be enslaved, chaos, it will

(01:33:26):
happen. Yeah, but what aboutthe fact that you know these wars are
going on, and how's he gonnado with those? Because he's been awful
at anything geopolitical forever. Right,go look at what many people who worked
with him for years, both Republicanand Democrats' biggest fear was he's not good
at this stuff on the big picture, Like what happens if Ron gets a

(01:33:48):
bomb. He's slow walking him therebecause he can't is shuffling more than anything.
Oh, Chad, No, Imean, these are all real questions
you can ask. Here's something I'mgonna say, somebody's on the other side,
if you will the conservative side.Yeah, a Conservatorian. I don't
hate Joe Biden. I think he'san elderly man who is he's at the

(01:34:15):
end of you know, his timeis running out. Soo's Trump's by the
way, I mean the actuary tablekind of says, hey, you guys,
have you guys are past your cellby date? And I don't wish
harmon either, But he's a manwho has struggled, who has tried to
be a chameleon. Who is youknow, a person who tells wild stories,

(01:34:38):
who isn't really grasping what's going onin America. And because he's got
this awe shucks Joe thing, peoplethink, hey, he's got all this
stuff going on. I know alot of aw shucks people that are good
people. Doesn't mean I'm gonna trusthim with anything important. I also know
a lot of people who are Richard'sin life. If you will, not
the nicest people, and you knowwhat, I trust them with a lot.

(01:35:00):
Doesn't mean I want to hang outwith them. Doesn't mean I want
to be friends with them. SoKen Burns today appeared on Morning Joe so
they could salivate over his disdain forDonald Trump, and he could scare you
into thinking Zich is coming. Well, I think all you need to do
is go back to say and goodmorning, Mika, thank you for having

(01:35:23):
me. You could go back towhere in nineteen thirty two you'd want to
be, where everything was great withideas in politics, in arts and architecture,
in movies, in painting, inmusic. There'd be no better place
on the planet than Berlin and thenext January nuts lunch. And so what

(01:35:46):
we learned from the study of authoritarianism, what we learned from the study of
despots, is that these democratic institutionsare fragile because the covenant of democracy is
a new we invented it. Itsaid you're not going to be a subject.
You're going to be a citizen, and that requires some responsibilities. And
we're going to build institutions in whichwe have to just like driving down the

(01:36:11):
world, we trust people are goingto cross the line. We need to
trust each other. Okay, weneed to trust each other. I got
no problem with that. I understandkind of where he's going, but he's
painting it is. Hey, look, we are very similar to Berlin.
Right in the late twenties, earlythirties. It's vibrant it's hip, it's
cool, it's all of those things. Know this, You're going back to

(01:36:34):
a time when a little bit ofa monarchy, right. You know when
they talk about the Nazis, understandthat that Trump is not Adolf Hitler.
So stop thinking that that is nota good thing, because when you brand
him that and then you try toreach out to other Republicans, you're just
basically saying you're a Nazi too. That's not a helping way to get people

(01:36:59):
on your it is it? Andthe Despatch is all about other ring people
and saying there's them, there's nothem. I tried to say in this
and it's really not about Joe Bidenand Donald Trump. It's really about this
tendency for us to other and makeit just an argument and not a story.
As Jen was saying, Joe needsto tell a story. But we

(01:37:19):
also have a responsibility. We've beenso focused in the corner of my screen,
it's like we're waiting for the trainwreck of the trial. We used
to eight years ago, nine yearsago, have an airplane hangar where he
was going to arrive and say somebad things that was going to shake us
up. We have not allowed theonly place where trickle down works is in

(01:37:41):
media. Marshall mccluan said, themedium is the message. If a tree
falls in the forest and no onehears it, did it make a sound.
Joe Biden has the third greatest legislativeaccomplishments in the last one hundred years,
after FDR and LBJ. And peopledon't know about it because we've been
more interested and in the argument ofguilty or not guilty, or this outrage

(01:38:02):
or without outrage. We've missed ourresponsibility to help. Oh oh yeah,
he's gonna show up somewhere. He'sgoing to say some things that are mean
to people. He's gonna make everybodyuncomfortable, etcetera, etcetera. You see
where he's going here with this. And his big thing is like I don't
want to other people, which meanswe're the good side and othering you making

(01:38:24):
you the bad side. You know, the whole thought. And I get
where he's coming from, and Iunderstand that. But when you start to
paint the picture of he's a Nazi, he's evil. First of all,
you do a disservice to the peoplethat suffered under the Nazis. Okay,
you do a massive disservice to everybodywho fought against him and suffered under them.

(01:38:47):
Oh yeah, maybe that's uh,maybe that's true. Secondly, he's
not evil. You don't have tolike him. Again, he may not
be personality plus to you and yourcup of tea. He may tweet some
things that are offensive, and youmay get your panties in a while because,
oh my god, he said somethingthat I find abhorrent. Where's the

(01:39:10):
enslavement of people? Tell me it'salways about we're gonna lose everything. Where's
the enslavement of everybody? I'm curious, haven't seen it yet? Well,
he tried to stay on. Didhe or did he have serious questions?
Do we not have something that theNazis didn't have that the Germans didn't have.

(01:39:36):
We have things in place that protectus from situations like that, So
you can draw some comparisons. Butthen could I easily draw comparisons that you're
trying to turn this into a communistcountry? Oh that's easy. So,
but we also have places in placeand things in place to protect us from

(01:39:58):
that emotion. That's what they wantyou to sell young kids. Emotion.
Look at the facts. Come it, stuff with logic and even if it
challenges you and maybe goes against yourbeliefs. If it's there, it's there

Chad, wrap it up straight Ahead, Chad Benson Show, irreverence Like,
yeah, so what it's the ChadBenson Show. Corey Harris was almost ready

(01:41:28):
to join the zooms. Are youdriving, Ashley? I'm pulling into my
doctor's office. Actually, just giveme one second only problem. Harris was
appearing at a virtual court hearing inWashington County for a suspended license. Judge
Cedric Simpson didn't find it funny. He promptly revoked Harris's bond and ordered him
to turn himself in, but hedid note Harris was wearing a seatbelt.

(01:41:49):
That's right, guy has a suspendedlicense. He has a hearing. He's
supposed to zoom in, and hedoes so while he's driving, because we
live in a time where people areso stupid and they want to broadcast their
stupidity. I'm not lying. Thisguy zoomed in. He's got a suspended

(01:42:11):
license. I think you can hearfrom this. The judge, Well,
he just seems hmm confused. Mister, are you driving? Ashley, I'm
pulling into my doctor's office. Actually, so just give me one second.
I'm parking right now. If you'restationary, I'm pulling in right now.
As the second, Yes, Iam all right. What are we doing,

(01:42:35):
your owner? We are specially requestingin a German in this matter up
possibly two or four weeks at thecourt would allow. So maybe I don't
understand something. This is a drivingone license suspended. That is correct,
your enter And he was just drivingand he didn't have a license. Yeah,
yeah, Just I want to makesure the judge is like talking to

(01:42:59):
his council. Okay, he isis on zoom. That's correct, your
honor, And he is driving thatis also correct, to your honor.
And he doesn't have a license.Again, correct, your honor. He's
solid solid. Is what the charges, your honor? Yes, No,
I'm looking at his record. Hedoesn't have a license, he's suspended,

(01:43:23):
and he's just driving that. Idon't even know why he would do that.
Oh oh, so defendant's bond isrevoked. In this manner, defendant
is turned himself into the Washington CountyDealt by six pm today. Failure to
turn himself in we'll result on thebench for it with no bond. I
love, Oh my god, whatwere you thinking? Out of curiosity?

(01:43:46):
But I don't know what anybody's thinkinganymore when it comes to the Internet.
I mean, they'll do the dumbestthings in the world and they'll splash it
out there for everybody to see.And then when things don't go the way
they think, they're like, Ican't believe that happened. How did they
get me? Because as you're anidiot, but I'm living my life out
loud. So you guys were seriousabout that whole suspended licensing. Yes,

(01:44:08):
yes, they were speaking of trials. The fate of Donald Trump, the
first former president who ever faced criminalcharges, is now in the hands of
the jury, and less than fourhours into deliberations, a bell rang in
court, signaling a note from thejurors they wanted four pieces of key testimony
read back to them, including threefrom David Pecker, the former National Inquirer
publisher who bought and buried damaging storiesfor Trump, and one part of testimony

(01:44:30):
from Trump's former fixer Michael Cohen abouta Trump Tower meeting with Trump in August
twenty fifteen, where prosecutors said thethree men hatched a conspiracy to corrupt the
twenty sixteen election. Still trying tofigure out how they corrupted the election.
Bearing stories, buying stories is notillegal, What is it? Well,

(01:44:51):
they have the right to know.Wouldn't we like to know everything about every
politician, the good, the bad, the evil. You don't think there
was stuff buried back in the day. You don't think stuff being buried now,
my god, and I continue tosay this. You had a concerted
effort by the media and people insideof government to lie about the Hunter Biden

(01:45:15):
laptop. Now, I myself didn'tcare about the Hunter Biden laptop. What
I cared about is the fact thatthe media, people inside of government decided
to get on board with trying tofool America. Could you not say that's
a conspiracy? Could we not? What's the jury thinking? I have no
idea. I can tell you asa long time trial lawyer, don't drink

(01:45:40):
the kool aid right when you thinkyou think you know what that jury is
questioning. You may be wrong. You're more likely wrong, more likely.
Now, one thing is seems tobe for certain that there are a jur
or two that is sympathetic somewhat withTrump. One of them apparently only gets

(01:46:00):
their news from true social and peopleare asking, how did that person get
through? Who knows? I meanevery day I watch, you know,
and read, and I mean Iconsume way too much of this stuff.
But you've got somebody who only getstheir stuff from true social that says that

(01:46:21):
it's a supporter more than likely thana hater. So interesting. Indeed,
we shall see what happens, butwe talked about it throughout the day.
Doesn't seem to make a damn bitof difference. Nothing has changed as far
as poll numbers when it comes tothis case. I think other cases on

(01:46:44):
the federal level would have a biggerimpact than this. But one thing is
for sure. Most people that dopay attention to this, they've chosen their
sides, and one of them believesit's absolutely a just thing, and the
other one believes this is you know, the other side believes this is a
kangaroo court that is all about politics. And so it hasn't moved the needle

(01:47:05):
because other people are paying attention toother things. The people that needs,
the people that need to have theneedle moved, if you will, those
people aren't paying attention at all tothis at all. Hey, it's that
time of the show kids, andthen I go and spoil it all by
saying something stupid. It all takestupid pills this morning. It's the honest

(01:47:28):
ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict they're going
to do something incredibly stupid. Nowyou're the fact stupid one with the big
mouth is stupid. You should neverunderestimate the predictability of stupiditing. Now it's
time for stupid information. We're talkingearlier about Justice Leitoo says he is not

(01:47:55):
going to recuse himself after the flagkerfuffle. How about some stuff about Scout
stitch in time saves nine. SupremeCourt's composed of nine justices, but it's
not always been that way. TheJudiciary Act of seventeen eighty nine set the
number of justices at six, butthat number has been set as high as
ten in the past, and innineteen thirty seven, FDR pushed Congress to

(01:48:15):
increase the number to fifteen, butCongress said no. Ooh, they said
no. They only hear important casesabout eighty of them a year, and
decide another one hundred or so withouthearing oral arguments. They receive about eight
thousand requests plus per year, sovery very very very few cases ever get

(01:48:40):
to them. They decide what theytake. Top Florid Supreme Court building houses
a gym, including a basketball court, dubbed the highest court in the land.
Ooh yeah. One man served asboth the president and as a Supreme
Court Justice. William Howard taff isthe only president who have served as Justice
of the United States Supreme Court aswell as President of the United States.

(01:49:02):
And the Conference handshake. Before SupremeCourt justices take their seats at the bench,
they shake hands with all other justicesas a reminder that even though they
have differences when it comes to theiropinions, they share a common purpose.
Little things about the Supreme Court youmay not have known. You guys,
have a blessed rest of your Thursday. I say you Friday Night, Night

(01:49:23):
