(00:10):
Independent thoughts, independent life. Thisis Chad Benson. Did you guys hear
Trump can kill anybody he wants whenhe's president, and everybody's got to deal
with the fact that he's now theking. So the Supreme Court said or
did it? No, it didn't, By the way, I just want
to point that out. It didnot. Supreme Court did none of that.

(00:33):
But the panic and the over freakout of many in the media over
this, and the fact that Bidenheld a whopping four minute or so pre
prepared statement on a giant teleprompters herolled out there yesterday. This nation was

(00:56):
founded on the principle that there areno kings in America. Each of us
is equal before the law. Noone, no one is above the law,
not even the President of the UnitedStates. Today's Supreme Court decision on
presidential immunity that fundamentally changed for allpractical purposes. Today's decision almost certainly means

(01:19):
that there are virtually no limits orthe president can do no none of that.
Did anybody read? It was onehundred and nineteen pages. A long
drive home yesterday, so I hada chance to read through a lot of
it. None of that, bythe way, is the president is above

(01:42):
the law for anything. The presidentcan do anything he wants. None of
that was this, None of it, not a single portion of that was
inside of any of this. Trumpcould do or say what you want,
first of all, not about Trump. The fact that this question hasn't been
asked before is also very intriguing.I was talking to Jim Garrett yesterday National

(02:06):
Review did the three Martini podcasts withhim, and he and I were chatting
about this and about you know,Joe Biden, you've done some stuff right
on constitution, You're not above law, You're not a king. No,
it protects you too, Joe,just like it protected Barack Obama when he

(02:27):
droned and killed an American without atrial. Should he be held accountable for
that, Well, no, becausehe was being president. That's the whole
point. He was being president andhis You know, you're sworn in,
and there you are. You're swornin and now you've got presidential duties,
of which these things are the thingsthat matter. So while discharging your power

(02:53):
as the president of the United Statesof America, you have immunity. If
you do it for personal reasons, that is a different story. But but
they're rogue. They're they're they're eviland bad. I concur with just as
Sodomyer's descent today, she hears whatshe said. She said, in every

(03:16):
use of a visual power, thepresident is now a king above the law,
with fear for our democracy. Idissent. End of quote, sociated
American people, dissent. I dissent. May God bless you all, and
may God help preserve our democracy.Right, and then he wandered off Ty

(03:38):
Cobb, who's not a fan ofTrump's will hear that worked with Trump?
By the way, was asked lastnight, Hey, and not Tay God
the baseball player. I want topoint that out. He's dead. Attorney
Ty Cobb, guy gets it,understands it. Like I said, you'll
hear he's not a fan of Trump. That being said, it's kind of

(03:58):
the right decision. And when askedabout Sodoma and her descent, so I
thought her descent was a little hystericaland it really offered no analysis, a
lot of screaming, no analysis, and I think that was unfortunate. I'm
disappointed that Justice Kagan didn't write adescent that sharply focused on the separation of
powers issues, which are the coreissues here. You can't design a rule

(04:23):
that is solely about Trump without puttingthe democracy at risk and eliminating some of
the restraints that have historically gotten usthrough two hundred and fifty years separation of
powers as the cornerstone of the Constitution. And as much as I wish Trump
would get his come up and sendis due for his evil conduct, the
reality is you just can't go outand have a result oriented effort by the

(04:47):
Supreme Court. It needs to bebased on principle and precedent, and I
think for the most part this isI was disappointed that Justice so my air
didn't address at all the separation ofpowers issue, which is what the case
was decided on. Exactly what thecase was decided on. It simple as

(05:08):
that what the case was decided on. So if Donald Trump does something horrific
for his personal gain, personal use, whatever it is, as president of
the United States, you can't dothat. If doing the things you're supposed
to do as president of the UnitedStates, you were offered immunity from those

(05:31):
because you're going to be taking actionsthat other people would be in trouble for.
But you need to have that immunityotherwise every time a president gets out
of office, they're going to bechallenged and charged over and over again,
and we can't have that doesn't meanthat people don't go crazy. I guess

(05:53):
you know. Theoretically President Biden, acting within the scope of his official duties,
could dispatch the military to take outthe conservative justices on the Court,
and he'd be amnewing, that isno, no, no, Like,
how did you even get there onthat? That's what I want to know?

(06:15):
How did you get to Well,he would be of, no,
that's not it. You can't takeout your rival, that's not I mean,
that's the whole thing of the insanityof where this went. But that's
what I expect from modern politics.Grab something just a little bit and then
run with it. Say chaotic andcrazy things and the last here we are

(06:40):
just ridiculous. Nobody reads it,nobody understands it. I heard a maybe
been Sarah Isker, who is brilliantshe works for a dispatch, saying that
the thing that frustrates her the mostabout like court decisions is nobody ever reads

(07:00):
them. Outside of science. Nobodyever reads any of the stuff or understands.
They just see the headline and runwith it because we're a headline society
three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three
at Chad Benson's Show It to yourTwitter, your Instagram, all of the
other stuff. Man, so muchstuff to get to today. And while

(07:21):
all of that was going on yesterdaywe were coming home. We visited my
family down in San Diego, metthere for a weekend trip. Life's expensive,
as you know. The Fourth ofJuly is coming up just a few
days from now. We celebrate theindependence of our country, and it's more

(07:44):
expensive than ever. From burgers tofunds, the cost of barbecue. Food
prices has increased. Prices are skyrocketing, and groceries are I mean almost unaffordable,
making twenty twenty four one of themost expensive years for Four of July
meal. The twenty twenty four RabobankBarbecue Index shows that hosting a ten percon

(08:05):
barbecue will cost about ninety nine dollarsthis year, the highest on record.
It's a thirty two percent increase inbarbecue costs since twenty nineteen. Big price
increase on a lot of the majorgroceries that that I buy. Yeah,
yeah, so's it's up there. It's high juices, water, some meat.

(08:33):
Yeah, just like staple items andbreads too. Breads are very high.
According to that same report, priceshave increased due to several factors,
including overall food inflation, labor costs, and supply chain issues. It's more
expensive, and it's more expensive toblow stuff up this year. Got to

(08:56):
think about that because you're like, this is going to be two minutes of
stuff and that's going to blow up. We're not getting it back. Are
you sure you want to blow thisthing up? It's just expensive and that
is so much of what this electionseason is about on the federal level,
right, the big side of stuff. When it comes to what gets all

(09:16):
the headlines the presidential race, it'sinflation. He's not a god king,
whoever he or she is. They'renot god kings. They can't snap their
finger and fix something. I thinka lot of people think that that's what
they can do. Trump gets intooffice, boom, snaps his finger.
All of a sudden, Inflation's gone. That it's the moves they make and
they take time. But for allthe stuff about is Biden too old,

(09:39):
which is something we need to talkabout. Still, not getting away from
that, or the immunity thing orthis or that the average person in America
is thinking about how am I payingfor stuff? Who do I have to
rob this month? Peter or Paul? Do after drop and Mary? It's

(10:01):
not very nice to rob Peter,Paul or maryby do I have to?
That's what people are thinking about manyof you right now. Maybe you're listening.
You're on vacation, God bless you. Maybe you're like, I can't
afford to take time off or goanywhere this holiday. I get it,

(10:22):
I get it. And it's notjust the food and all of that stuff.
What about gas? After weeks ofdeclining gas prices due to low oil
costs and demand, the price ofregular unleaded has inched up a bit and
the culprits arise and crude oil prices, plus, Americans are hitting the road
for the fourth of July, sodemand is up. The Energy Department reports
in the past week, the priceof regular unloaded went up four cents nationwide

(10:45):
do an average of three forty eightgallons, still five cents less than a
year ago. Some places like Californiaare still seeing prices go down. Yeah,
but that's because they're through the roof. We're in California yesterday and I
was like, my god, pitalmost five bucks per gas. A lot
of that's tax, but every nickelcounts. And those are the things that

(11:09):
people are thinking about. Those arethe things that people are taking an account
when they look at where we're going, right, who's voting for? Who,
what are we going to? Thoseare the things that matter. All
the other stuff is entertainment at thispoint in time. Chat our democracy is

Benson Show. You're listening to theChad Benson Show. I just got back

(13:13):
from the grocery store and I wentthere to get blueberries. There were two
options, organic and non organic. The organic blueberries were eight ninety nine for
the non organic blueberries were on salefor a dollar ninety nine, So like,
I can either buy the non organicand have cancer later because it's all
I can afford right now, orbuy the organic and not pay my mortgage.

(13:35):
So I'm just curious, like, how are people surviving in this economy?
Like, seriously, uh, doesnon organic blueberries give you cancer?
Because if that's true, maybe youshould have a candy bar. I don't
know. How do people survive? That's the question that's being asked every single
day. How do people survive? How do they Housing prices unaffordable for a

(14:01):
vast majority of people, and thepeople who are buying houses, or are
they're buying larger homes, second homes, third homes, fourth homes, whatever
it is, or they're moving placeswhere things are affordable. I don't know
what the difference is between organic andyou know, I mean and non organic

(14:22):
As far as like giving you cancer, I feel like that's a stretch.
But the reality is life is moreexpensive. That's why I keep saying this
year when people go to vote andyou hear it's why is it translating in
the strong economy? Not strong? It's simple. We're a checkbook society.
It's how we vote in a lotof ways, and at this moment in

(14:46):
time, we look over there atthe place where we work and we think
we're doing okay. Then we lookover here at the place where we consume
and we're like, it's a struggle. It's a struggle. It ain't getting
better anytime soon. That's the realityof it. So when people say,

(15:09):
how does the average family do it, it's a great question. It is.
That's why when people say with democraciesat steak, people don't buy that
at this point in time, youknow what they know at steak they can't
afford us steak, let alone atsteak because life is so damn expensive.

(15:35):
The rent's too damn high. Threetwo, three, five, three eight,
twenty four to twenty three at ChadBenson Show is your Twitter tweet at
US Texas program on the Chad BensonShow, people can't afford to buy a
piece of property of land. Gasis rising again. We can go on

(15:56):
and on. There's the frustration. The consumer side of stuff is where the
frustration's at, not being the personwho is sending people out for a job,
not being those side of that sideof the economy is fine. The
consumer side is where the struggles atso much stuff to get to. Got
a lot of good stuff still comingup, some COVID stuff coming up a

(16:19):
little bit later because it is scaryout there. Not that COVID's rising again
because it's that summertime, serge asyou know, no kids. Yeah,
the struggle was real, but we'vefocused mostly I would say vast majority of
the focus has been on high school, middle school. What about the kids

(16:44):
that were toddlers during the pandemic toldto wear a mask during the pandemic.
How bad are they struggling. I'mgoing to talk about that as well as
Yeah, the battle the other nightat the debate over the golf swings,
who's a better golfer? PGA Tourprofessional an announcer breaks it down for everybody

(17:11):
and who's a better golf Now?I think if you hate Trump doesn't matter.
You love Biden if he's got thegreatest swing, and since Ben Hogan
or any of these great guys eitherAdam Scottland's pretty no, if you hate
Trump, you'll say it's Biden. Is that the truth? You will discuss

(17:33):
that as well a lot of otherstuff to do it. It is the
Chad Benson Show, The Chad BensonShow, Independent thoughts independent life. This

(18:03):
is Chad Benson. Let me tellyou what matters most to everybody. Cost
of life. We could sit hereand talk about Biden, which we'll talk
about in a little bit. Trump, we'll talk about him in a little
bit. But life. Life isdamn expensive, and it's getting more expensive,
it seems every single day. Andinflation while cooling. Remember it is

(18:25):
the rate of inflation. When peoplesay, oh, look at inflation's coming
down, it's not coming down. It's just not growing as fast as it
was. The latest consumer prices reportshows inflation has cooled, So why do
many Americans say they're not feeling it? Sure, inflation's cooling, but it
still makes millions of Americans hot.Everything is so much higher than it was

(18:47):
two years ago, three years agocompared to one year ago. Consumer prices
were up three point three percent lastmonth, still too high for the Federal
Reserve and its two percent goal. The Fed left its unchmark interest rate intact
last week. We've made good progress. We're in the phase now of just
sticking with it until we get itdone, and that is getting to the
point where it is two percent.Yeah, it's getting there, but this

(19:11):
is going to be an issue. You know, for all the talk and
we're going to talk about the golfmember, the golf argument at the debate,
and you know, this and thatand all of this stuff in immunity,
it doesn't change the fact that lifeis so damn expensive and inflation is
that killer tax that you don't seeon your paycheck, but you feel it

(19:34):
every single day. That's why.And remember the two sides of how we
vote. Right, you've got theissue. Voters out there only cares about
their you know, their one issue. But when we talk about the economy
and we talk about how we perceivewhat is going on, it's not a
perception life is more expensive. Itis more expensive. It's the consumer side

(19:59):
of stuff. When you take offthat hat from being the person who owns
a business or runs a business,or you know you being the employee,
and you put on the hat ofthe consumer. That's the side that we
feel the most. Voters are feelingfrustrations inflated with the economy. I'm making
more money now, but I'm morebroke now than I was in twenty twenty.

(20:22):
And our latest CBS News poll, seventy two percent of Americans say higher
prices have been a hardship or difficultsixty three percent rate, the economy as
fairly bad or very bad, eggsmel Brand, everything's really high. So
that is a bigtation ticket issue. We were talking about it earlier. How
much more expensive this fourth of Julyis for your barbecue? The barbecue index

(20:47):
is up because everything is up.And it's that cumulative effect, right,
It's like compound interest. Well,it's compound inflation. And when you go
and you say, hey, youknow two years ago it costs this,
and this is what I got forone hundred bucks, that same amount of

(21:07):
stuff now is one hundred and seventyfive. You know, infliction's only gone
up X. Well, that's becauseyou've got to add everything together, and
that's where you get the compounds atit. That's why people are feeling it.
The FED says one interest rate cutis likely by the end of the
year, although the timing is unclear. That means borrowers may get little relief

(21:27):
before November's presidential elections. People ventfrustration with housing prices. Too few homes
of for sale and mortgage rates hoveraround seven percent. A really big topic
between my friends and I even myfamilies. What would be able to buy
a house. Yeah, well yoube able to buy a house, will
be able to afford a house. They're doing everything they can. They're writing

(21:48):
loans now for up to fifty years. From what I'm hearing. The zero
down is back. But people whogot those you know, variable interest rates
now are getting getting ready to getkicked in the grundle. It is expensive,
and that's what we feel. That'sthe frustration. Jobless rate is still

(22:10):
relatively low and employers are still hiringnearly three million jobs added over the last
year. Wages are up outpacing inflation, and wealthier families feeling flush keep spending.
But the less you make, themore you feel it. I just
noticed the increase in price on everythingfed German Powell. Here's the complaints.

(22:32):
Inflation has come down really significantly, and we're doing everything we can. We're
confident that we'll get there, notsoon enough for everyone with inflation fatigue.
Everybody's got that, myself included,you know, I mean, it's it's
we you know, we stop atMcDonald's on the way home because we took

(22:56):
a little trip and it was justyou know, to the kids were passed
out. My older kids are passedout my younger one and my wife and
I got a little snack and iwas like, it's like forty five bucks,
and I'm like, are you kiddingme? This is insane. We're
feeling it every single day. That'swhat matters to people. That's what matters.

(23:17):
And that's why if you're President Bidenor President Trump, you make this
what your campaign is about. Becausethe immunity thing democracy. You know what
you can't eat. Democracy, youknow what doesn't pay the bill. Democracy
And I know that sounds weird, but the way that they spin it,
yes, the capitalism and democracy andall that stuff, it matters more than

(23:40):
anything else. But understand that wecare about the right here and the right
now and what we can see here, taste, touch, and spend on.
So that is some to think about. That's food for thought right there,

(24:00):
don't you think. Speaking of expensivelife, yesterday we talked about boomers
renting right and it's very interesting.I got a lot of response from the
whole boomer section. So if youdidn't know about this, there is a
new thing going on out there inthe world of renting, and it's kind

(24:25):
of fascinating and it's also kind ofsad that we're at this position. They're
called boommates. Lady Colin left usa message about her being a boom mate.
Julie, I was listening to youon the radio, and I just
wanted to say, I'm a boomerand I have rented out of room,
and I am a boomer that canget around and get my groceries and stuff

(24:45):
and go places. And I justwanted to say I did ask them if
they would like to do a coupleof stores around the house for a reduced
rent, and they did. Theydid the garbage and things like that,
and I just wanted to tell youthat I think it's wonderful, and you're
right. We did. We havea lot in common and we enjoyed each
other. And I didn't live alone, so it was nine and we do

(25:08):
make them out of money. Thanksyou, take care. It's good to
hear your program. Okay, thankyou, Julie. Appreciate that. So,
but the boommates is the way thatboomers, who empty nesters, widowers,
maybe they need a little help aroundthe house, are running out into
a younger generation of people who needa break and maybe willing to do things

(25:33):
around the house to get a break. That's what is going on now?
You know what else you're seeing. You're seeing people that are joining forces.
Friends, Hey, let's buy ahouse. Never going to end well,
by the way, that's never goingto end well. But people want to
own something and they don't have enoughincome, enough down enough of their own

(26:02):
to own it on their own,so they're joining forces and purchasing homes.
It's that's that's when you wonder whypeople feel the frustration. You wonder why
they feel the frustration. There's anew on the cover of Vogue is Jill
Biden, doctor Joe Biden, nota licensed medical professional, and she talks

(26:26):
about she goes and buys her owngroceries, and she tries to make it
seem like she's a down to earthperson, but when you read the whole
article, it all falls on deafears. She's nobody buys that you're a
regular person because you're not. Andthat's what people want to know, that
you're in it with them in thistime as they struggle, as their frustration

(26:52):
grows. Yes, the the jobside of the economy might be good,
but the spending side of the economy, which is where everybody lives, is
not three two, three, fivethree eight, twenty four to twenty three

in d last night got home justin time to be ashamed, shamed of
the United States soccer team, themen's national team. So we're hosting Copa
America if you don't know what thatis. So right now, the European

it goes World Cup, the Eurosand then Copa America. Now normally we
aren't part of Copa America, sothe North American Central American we have our
own thing. But now we're partof this and kind of a precursor to
getting ready because we're hosting the WorldCup in two years. We're eliminated.

(29:34):
We didn't even get out of thegroup. It's embarrassing. It is absolutely
embarrassing. Can I just say thatshame and embarrassment. We have the biggest
teams on the Brazil's here, Argentinais here, Colombia's here. Colombia is
awesome. Right now, you knowwho got through Canada and Panama, Mexico

(29:57):
and US out and this coach hasgot to go. You have to ask
yourself. With twenty twenty six comingbarreling down the pike, it's going to
come really two years away, allright. We can't afford to waste it,
We can't afford to be embarrassed, and we can't afford to arrive in
the summer of twenty six with ateam that has not progressed, that is

(30:17):
not evolved, and is not improved. And I'm sure if Greg Burhlter was
here, he would say, Oh, but you don't see what's happening inside.
I don't give a crap what ishappening inside. I don't care about
the dynamic. I don't care howmuch your players love you. I don't
care how kumbaya it is. AllI care about is I see a US
men's national team that is better thanbefore and we haven't seen that, and
that's a problem going forward. Yeah, time to get rid of him any

(30:41):

gone, and they keep this guywho had all kinds of issues, by
the way, all kinds of issuesbecause the last World Cup one of the

(31:03):
players wasn't played the way he shouldhave been, and his father, former
teammate of the coach. You guys, remember this knew some dirty laundry kind
of held over the coach's head.It was nasty, and they brought this
guy back and he's just crap.I'm gonna say it. Sure he's a
nice guy, but no, no, I'm sorry, it's time to go.

(31:26):
And if you don't move on forhim, shame on you. Three

hearing from every single one of you. Man, we still have so much
stuff to get to. It wasdebating on whether or not we should talk
about this now, but I thinkwe're going to because it's just fun.
Do you guys remember there was adebate last week. I don't know if

(31:48):
you guys remember that, And thething that was most entertaining was the Battle
of the Gulf handicap and fight.Remember by just one two club championships,
not even senior, two regular clubchampionships. To do that, you have
to be quite smart, and youhave to be able to hit the ball
a long way. And I doit. He doesn't do it. He

(32:09):
can't hit a ball fifty yards. He challenges me to a golf match.
He can't hit a ball fifty yards. Look, I'd be happy to have
a driving contest with him. Thereama I got my handicap, which when
I was vice president down to asix. And by the way I told
you before, I'm happy to playgolf. If you carry your own bag,

(32:29):
I think you can do it.That's the biggest lie that he's a
six handicap, of all, Iwas an eight handicap. Now eight,
you know how I've seen you swing? I know you swing. So do
you guys remember that that was thebattle? Well sell it once for all.
Doug Bell, who is a doesESPN Golf Channel, serious all of

(32:53):
this stuff. He is a golfannouncer. This is what he does,
breaking down everything. He'd taking alook at their swings and he breaks it
down, so now you're seeing boththeir swings. Is Trump a scratch golfer?
Well, Dan, listen, ifyou're a scratch golfer, you're among
the elite in the world. AndI'm not sure President Trump is quite a

(33:17):
scratch. He says he's a twopoint five. That basically means he goes
down shoots mid seventies every time hetease it up. Maybe that was a
few years ago. I don't thinkhe's a two point five right now.
He does own a lot of fabulousgolf courses all over the world, and
they're ranked very high on the difficultyscale, so he gets to play a

(33:37):
lot of great courses. But let'sjust say that might have been an exaggeration,
a wee bit, a wee bitof an exaggeration. Trump never,
by the way, how many scratchgolfers are out there. It's about sixty
five million golfers in the world.Less than one percent are scratch or better.

(33:58):
So think about that. As forpresid Sident Biden, again, you
go back the USGA had his handicapin twenty eighteen at six point seven.
That's pretty impressive. I'm not surehe's played a lot of golf since then.
And John Bayner, the former Speakerof the House famously played and he
love golf, played with President Obamaand Vice President Biden in the match.

(34:19):
This was many many years ago,and after the match, mister Bayner said,
I think it's a bit exaggerated howgood of a golfer mister Biden is,
And he said it obviously tongue incheecken, laughing. So again I
think both gentlemen have exaggerated things. But looking at those swings, Dan,
President Trump does have a good golfswing for a man seventy eight years old.
And PGA professionals who play with himin pro ams, they compliment him

(34:44):
at the distance that he hits offthe tee. So I think that's that
was evident. Yeah, he'd wina long drive contest. I've seen both
their swings. There's no way thatBiden is a six handicap. And Trump
obviously plays because he has all ofthe opportunity to play because he owns all
those golf courses. But we needto settle it once and for all.

(35:05):
And bryceon to Shambo the Great.Bryceon to Shambo, US Open champion is
second US Open this year. He'sgoing to sort it out. But I
will say, bryceon to Shambo, the reigning US Open champion, who's blowing
up on YouTube. He wants tohost the match, a three hole match
between the two presidents, and Ithink that would be fantastic. I hope
they agree to that. They neverwill, but it would be hilarious and

(35:28):
awesome. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to
twenty three at Chad Benson Show.Is your Twitter? You're ex right here
on the Chad Benson Show coming upnext hour. A lot of stuff still
to get you. More on theimmunity. Watching people freak out over this
is entertaining and sad it shouldn't be, but the reality is it is also

(35:57):
got stuff on Biden and Trump. But Biden, you know, The pushback
is very real. A lot ofpeople are gaslighting America and this has nothing
to do you know. It's funny. The pushback I get is you hate
Biden. I don't hate Biden, but I think as Americans we have every
right to know what's going on,and I don't think we're getting a very
fair story and a real story fromthe White House. Talk about that,

(36:21):
a lot of other stuff to getto. It is the Chad Benson Show.
This is the Chad Benson Show,Independent thoughts, independent life, This

(36:53):
is Chad Benson. We'll get tothe immunity freak out coming up in a
little bit, but there's still otherstuff going on. By the way,
the immunity thing yesterday gave the opportunityfor the people that are continuing to gaslight
the nation about Biden the opportunity topivot to something else. But we're not
going to just pivot to immunity yet. We'll get to that in a second.

(37:16):
Jake Tapper, who happened to bein the room with the President and
the former president the other night, pretty candid last night about what is going
on and kind of calling it forwhat it is. When it comes to
the age question, in an attemptto reassure voters about his fitness for office.

(37:37):
Biden campaign chair General Mallley Dylan holdinga car with call with party leaders
earlier today, telling them this tooshall pass. There is a pattern,
discernible pattern of Democratic officials seemingly tryingto convince you, the public, to
not believe what you saw and whatyou heard with your eyes and with your

(37:59):
ears on Thursday night. What I'ma going to do with the the COVID,
I just could be with dealing witheverything we have to do with Look,
if we finally beat medicare, manthe total initiative relative to what we're

(38:22):
gonna do with more border patrol andmore President Trump, I really don't know
what he said at the end ofthis sentence. I don't think he knows
what he said either. It's hardto argue that we heard that. It's
tough. It is. It's avery tough situation. You know. We

(38:45):
played a piece yesterday from a guysays, look, everybody thinks that every
Republican wants something bad to happen toJoe Biden. That's not true. It's
not what people want is open, honest White House, which we don't get

(39:05):
pretty much in any White House anymore. And when it comes to the reality
that we have a person who isstruggling in many ways and we're being told,
don't believe your eyes, don't believeyour ears, it's all a lie.
Democratic officials have tried to spin thisin many ways. They said President
Biden just had a cold. Theysaid it was just one off night,

(39:29):
akin to when President Obama in twentytwelve was rusty and seems a little huffy.
But behind the scenes, make nomistake, most Democratic officials witnessed the
same shocking spectacle that you did.The difficulty that the presumptive Democratic nominee,
the current president of the United States, had just articulating his basic thoughts during

(39:52):
the ninety minutes of the debate.God, think about that. He's there,
he sees it, and I thinkbeing in the room you get a
different feel for it. And thisisn't about disliking Biden. This is about
an honest question that the American peopleshould have And I'm about all of them

(40:17):
taking cognitive tests at this point intime. You know, when you get
a certain age, they make youtake driving tests in certain states, not
a maybe we should not know aboutmaking him take a driving test, but
maybe the cognitive test when you getto be sixty five needs to kick in.
Chris Coons, who is out there, senator and you know, just

(40:42):
doing everything he can to tell theAmerican people, No, no, you're
wrong, you're wrong, You're wrong. It was fantastic. I mean,
he has given fewer press conferences, fewer interviews than any president in modern history,
including the previous one who's now runningfor reelection. And you know this
could all beest one told more liesper sentence than any candidate has ever.

(41:04):
This is based. This is notthe discussion that we're having. We could,
certainly you have that conversation. Icertainly didn't particularly care for it when
President Biden said no US service membershad been killed in the previous four years.
But moving on from things that weresaid that were not true, I
like the way he kind of hitback at him and said, hey,
Chris, your guy lied too.So if we're going to do this,

(41:29):
let's be honest to the American people. We're not talking about what they said.
We're talking about how he sounded andwhat he looked like. Oh yeah,
because you reject the notion that there'sactually anything going on beyond just a
bad night or a bad moment hereor there. Let me just ask you,
do you truly think that President Bidenis the strongest candidate to take on

(41:52):
Donald Trump in November. I thinkJoe Biden, two things, is the
strongest, most common president we've hadin my lifetime. Not the question.
He's not the question, or wasnot the question. And by the way,
that's past. We're talking about goingforward. All of us have a

(42:13):
passed where we were better than weare today. Right, that's past,
though that doesn't count for today. With all due respect, it is not
It is not honest to say thatthis is just one night. There have
been moments like this that people haveseen in front of the cameras, and
other moments but without what cameras notthere. Just two weeks ago, let

(42:37):
me just show this clip, therewas another moment like this, not just
a senior losing a train of thought, but something else going on here.
He is it was an event aboutimmigration. He tries to interview to introduce
DHS Secretary of Marcus and there's somesort of glitch. I don't know it
is. Let's roll that tape. Thanks for all the members are Congress and

(43:00):
Homeland Security secretary. I'm not suregoing to under show all the way but
all kidness side secretary of Marcus,I don't know what that was. Uh.
That doesn't trouble me at all,Jacob, That doesn't trouble you at
all? Should the hell should? When I see Mitch McConnell freeze, that

(43:21):
troubles the hell out of me.This not want to give up power is
crazy. And I go back tothis, and we've been saying it for
a long time here on our LittleDog and Pony Show, The Chad Benson
Show, Jill Hunter, a lotof people around him do not want to
give up the stuff, do notwant to give up all of the power

(43:45):
and the as I like to say, the accouterments that come with being first
lady, first son, all ofthe things. They don't want to give
up. It's time that he hesteps out. If he's going to make
the American people feel comfortable and goodagain, that he needs to get out

(44:07):
there. He needs to take questions. He needs to do it, not
for five seconds, five minutes. He gave a speech last night about the
Supreme Court right and was pissed offabout that, and at the same time
took no questions. I think itis easy to settle this right now by
President Biden going to the Brady PressCenter, the press file in the White

(44:32):
House and and doing a two hourpress conference. Everybody would run and cover
it live. Networks probably would coverit live. He'd be able to answer
all these questions. It's not acrazy thing to expect the president to do.
And the fact is, you knowthat the campaign knows that, the
White House knows that. That's howyou settle this. You just put him

(44:54):
in front of reporters and he handleshimself with acuity, a plomb. We
all see it was just a fluke. Oh my god, I can't believe
it happened. And we move onthe fact that you haven't done that says
quite a bit to me, Jake. What I've just said, maybe three
times in this interview is that iswhat I am urging and recommending. Chris

(45:14):
Coon's right there speaking for the president, part of this surrogate for the campaign.
But it's not happening. It's notIt needs to happen. I said
it the night of If he wantsto dispel any of this nightmare and the
rumors of his demise and blah, blah blah blah. He needs to be
out there in front of the cameraevery single day. He needs to show

(45:34):
he's vigorous, and not just betweenten am and three every day, every
single day. He needs to beout there, and he needs to take
as many questions as possible. Heneeds to do interviews as much as possible,
and the people interviewing need to alsobe honest. That's the other side

(46:00):
of this. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four
to twenty three at Chad bentioned showsyour Twitter tweet at as texta program.
Meanwhile, yesterday, scot is deliveredat the Supreme Court today a landmark decision
that dramatically enhances the power of thepresidency and makes it much harder to prosecute
Donald Trump. At stake whether thefederal criminal case against Trump for his alleged

(46:23):
conspiracy to overthrow the twenty twenty election, including January sixth, would go forward.
Trump claiming as a former president hecould not be prosecuted absolute immunity for
any official acts taken while in office, and he argues everything he did then
was official. Ah, not everythingyou did was official. And that's the

(46:44):
issue here. What was official andwhat wasn't official. So the mar a
Lago case, that's a document's case, which I don't think is going get
off the ground anyways unless Jack Smithdoes the right thing, which is go
for obstruction and drop the classified Andpart of that has to do with the

(47:05):
fact that who are you going tofind is a juror that's going to be
able to pass all of those thingsand get get clearance. So go for
obstruction. That was after you werepresident, So after you were president,
what does that mean? Means thatyou're a regular citizen and that was a

(47:27):
personal thing you were doing while president. You're going to get a ton of
immunity, as you should, allpresidents should. The separation though, of
what is personal and what was deemedpart of you being president and you know,
doing the things that you were supposedto do. That's the question that

(47:51):
is out there, and that's theone that the lower court's going to have
to decide, and that'll be abig deal on that quote unquote January sixth
DC obstruction case. Watching people freakout about it though it was rather interesting
yesterday because there was a lot offreak out, no doubt about that.
Three two, three, five, three eight twenty four to twenty three Atch

the hose, were Synk's not anoption? Who's gonn tell him? You
want me to tell him, I'lltell him. Allowed in the house.
I don't know why that's so hardfor people to understand. Our childhood was
like one never any episode of thatTV show Survivor. Okay, we are
indestructible. We've never sat in carseats, nobody's ever given us swimming lessons.

(50:14):
We've all been either shot with ababy gun or stabbed with a jart.
So that is the hilarity of what'sgoing on now, which is on
the internet, you always have tohave a battle. So millennials have turned
their focus of anger from the boomersto gen X. What makes me laugh

(50:35):
is some older millennials who have GenX brothers and sisters are like, don't
do it. I don't think youunderstand what these people are like, this
is a different world what she justsaid. There, how many of you
listening right now. I'm fifty threeyears old, I am gen X.
I am never in the house untilnot just the street lights until basically it

(50:59):
was like, all right, ifthe police come, they're gonna they're gonna
say that we're bad parents. Right, that's that's that's me shot with a
BB gun. I was joking theother day because my kids, they just
don't they're fascinated by my generation becausewe can speak to boomers, but we
created so much of the technology andthe world that they love today. And

(51:22):
I was so we spent some timewith my family speacause my mom's birthday,
and my son and my stepdaughter arefascinated by the fact that we got to
do stuff that they could never doin today's world. And I said,

(51:43):
ask her about the BB guns, and he was like, did Chad really
shoot you know, did dad reallyshoot each other's baby guns? She goes,
yeah, she goes, we justtoldhim we couldn't shoot each other in
the eye. That was That wasthe parenting advice. While they were smoking
cigarettes around us and Carci my mothersaved me. I remember, I don't
know how old I was. Ihad donuts in my hand. We went

(52:06):
to Winchel Scott Donuts and we werein her Mustang. The door opened,
no seatbelt on. I slid. She grabbed my arm. I held onto
the donuts. It was a differentworld as chet Axers lived in three two,
three, five, three eight, twenty four twenty three at Chad Benson
Show, is your Twitter ax orwhatever it is? On the chat Benson
Show, the television stations had tomake a commercial reminding our parents that they

(52:34):
had kids. I did you not? Every night on the ten PM news,
a voice would come on and say, it's ten pm. Do you
know where your children are? Toremind our parents that they had kids.
So, no, sir, withthe beanie sinks, we're not an option.
No they weren't. Uh, theywere not an option. They were
fun though. But you know, like we've reminisced, we used to go

(52:58):
outside and and there was this gianttruck that would like spray DDT or something
to kill all the bugs, andwe just thought it was a cool we
would follow it, right. Howmany of you listening were like, all
right, I dare you to drinkout of the gutter. You're like,
I'll do it. How many ofus we did all kinds of stuff and

(53:21):
we lived, and we lived, and we're going to talk about that coming
up, because startling but not startling, new research and data about COVID and
young children as that group of kids, my daughter included enters in not kindergarten,
but that first real world of firstand second grade and low and behold,

(53:44):
the struggle is real. What Yeah, Yeah, there was a lot
of things that went on during COVIDthat had nothing to do with high school
and college kids. Had a lotto do with the young kids and the
struggles they face because they're already behind. We'll talk about that a lot of
other stuff to get to three two, three, five, three eight,

(54:05):
twenty four, twenty three at ChadBenson Show. It's your extra Instagram.
Remember you can call that text lineand leave a message if you want to.
We've got some of your texts comingup as well. It is The
Chad Benson Show. The Chad BensonShow. Independent thoughts, independent life.

(54:43):
This is Chad Benson. The airyou rope, a flight from Spain to
Uuguay with three hundred and twenty fivepassengers on board, hitting turbulence over the
Atlantic Ocean, making an emergency landingin Brazil. This man saying the plane
suddenly destabilized and went into a sendingpassengers without seatbelts on flying. Yeah.

(55:05):
Crazy. And the pictures and thevideo also crazy, like the passenger apparently
stuck in the ceiling of the aircraft, his feet dangling over the aisle.
It's still unclear how he got there. The passengers slammed into the ceiling.
Paramedics seen carrying one person off theplane on a stretcher. But the plane

(55:28):
survived, It took the hit andit survived. And I think that's the
thing. We would never have knownthis, And this is the power of
media. This is the power ofsocial media and the twenty four hour news
cycle. Twenty years ago, itmay have been a blurb somewhere, if
at all, and a vast majorityof people would never heard or seen any

(55:51):
of this. But because of pictures, instantaneous, going live, all of
that stuff we see and things thatwe would never have here before. So
top of mind is every plane hasto go through severe turbulence that are destroying
the plane or they're falling apart, which is not true. And that one

(56:13):
took a beating and still going.Like I say, when you're thirty four,
thirty five, forty thousand feet inthe air and you have no control,
yeah, everybody holds on and findstheir God, if you know what
I mean, COVID was awful. We know that. I must say this.

(56:35):
I get a lot of this stuff. I've never been a COVID denier.
Never for a moment was I aCOVID denier. And yes I even
got the shots, but I wasnever a COVID denier. I always felt
that COVID was played around with.It was never created in the lab,
but it was altered in the lab. And that's where the conversation went sideways.

(56:58):
But from from the time that theydeclared it a pandemic, I was
telling my then on air partner Gatos, who I love to death, and
he is not a hypochondriac but alittle bit germophobe. But he and I
would chat about this and always said, dude, this is going to be
endemic. That's the way these thingsend, it's endemic and eventually enough people

(57:22):
pick up the natural immunity to it, and that's the way it goes.
But then it became political and itwent sideways. But during the politics,
in the battle of it all,one thing we knew early on is kids
weren't really affected by this. Kidshad not even there was very few kids

(57:44):
even had a hard time or thesniffles with this. Oh sure, once
in a while kid would get reallysick, but a lot of time those
kids who had compromise immune system. But even when Europe and the rest of
the world's like, yeah, kidsare going back to school, we played
this weird game and politics and puton a mask and you're against MAGA and
if you're not wearing a mask, you're against It was ridiculous. It was

(58:05):
stupid. Well, one of thethings that happened is a lot of kids
lost a bit of their youth. And we talked about the high school kids,
right, we talked about them notgetting their senior year and whatnot.
What about the pandemic babies and thetoddlers, of which my Charlie was one

(58:25):
of them. Experts are citing newdata showing the pandemic has hindered the learning
and development of the youngest Americans. The New York Times reviewed several studies and
interview teachers who say young children arenow far behind in some of the most
critical areas, and another concern socialskills. With pandemic era, babies now

(58:45):
often struggling to solve problems with peers, communicate needs, or manage emotions.
Researchers say black and Hispanic children wereleft most behind, and boys were more
affected than girls. The good news, young children are resilient, Thank you,
They are resilient. What happened.Kids weren't allowed to be kids.

(59:09):
Kids weren't allowed to be anything otherthan on your side, next to you,
sequestered from others in a way thatthey had never ever been in modern
memory. And doing so, andI'm talking about children, toddlers, you

(59:30):
know, four or five year olds. In doing so, we stunted their
start. And they're in school now. And guess what they're finding out.
Man, these kids, they don'tunderstand facial cues. It is a struggle.
So much brain growth happens in thefirst four years, particularly in the

(59:52):
first two years, and we basicallysaid put on a mask, stay away
from grown ups don't talk to otherkids. Yeah, So they interviewed all
these kids, I mean these teachers, and one of the things that I
found fascinating they interviewed a bunch ofkindergarten teachers. One lady in Martin,
Tennessee. She says she's taught kindergartenfor eleven years. She says this year,

(01:00:15):
for the first time, several studentscould barely speak, several were not
toilet trained, and several did nothave fine motor skills to hold on to
a pencil. That right there isfrightening. That's what COVID did. But
because we made it political rather thantry to find a solution that was best

(01:00:37):
for the country in the world,it hurt kids in major ways. Opening
your milk, right when you gothrough the lunch line, tying your shoes.
Those used to be expectations for kindergartenthat teachers you didn't have to help
with. And they're doing a lotmore of that, a lot more of
that. So we're very fortunate becausewe didn't allow that. With Charlie,

(01:01:00):
she didn't wear a mask because Iwas never putting a mask on a toddler.
I thought that was ridiculous. Wesaw what was going on, we
read the data and the reports. We still continue to go to church.
She continued to play with her herfriends that were around. It was a
good thing. I see other kidsthough, that didn't and you're like,

(01:01:22):
they're the same age. Oh,Charlie's younger. That's weird. And the
fine motor skills that right there isfascinating. But also one of the things
they talk about is they have noimagination. Several of these teachers teaching first
grade and kindergarten stuff say, thesekids don't seem to have any imagination.

(01:01:44):
They don't understand how to play. When we look back upon what happened,
I hope we are shamed, allof us by what took place right and
left, because we made something ridiculouslypolitical when it didn't need to be,

(01:02:05):
and in doing so, we hurtso many younger people and a younger generation,
and that just that is unforgivable.Three two, three, five,
three, eight, twenty four totwenty three Atchad Benson shows your Twitter tweet
at as text the program. Meanwhile, SCOTUS Chief Justice John Roberts, writing

(01:02:27):
for the majority, gave the Officeof the President broad protection, declaring the
president may not be prosecuted for exercisinghis core constitutional powers. Those include,
Roberts wrote, the president's commander inchief powers, pardon power, hiring and
firing federal officials, and more.Roberts twin even further, saying he is
entitled, at a minimum to apresumptive immunity from prosecution for all his official

(01:02:50):
acts, and adding that in dividingofficial from unofficial conduct, courts may not
inquire into the president's motives, whichis the big thing right there. So
that's why they're pissed. Personal versusprivate. But if you are the president,
you can make everything presidential, youknow, so like this is a

(01:03:14):
personal situation, I'm han, yeah, but you don't know my motives,
and as president, I'm acting onthis even if your private thoughts are yeah,
this is not really presidential. Thecourt has said in sending it back,
you can't look to the president's motivein assessing a potential crime. So
if you can't look to the motivein something like a pardon, you can't

(01:03:35):
say were they doing this for thewrong reasons? Then there's certainly an argument
to be made along those lines,But that's a hard argument. I think
we understand That's why I continue tosay the January sixth slash DC case is
going to be tough. I thinkthat one's going to go away. I
think Jack Smith is kind of reallyyou know, he's handcuffed on that the

(01:03:57):
obstruction case after he left office withthe documents is the case he should go
after because I think he's got abetter chance there. But when it comes
to what is the motive? Whatare you thinking as president? That's a
tough thing because I don't know whatanybody's thinking because none of us read minds.
But the whole thought that the presidentis now as a dictator and you

(01:04:18):
can walk around shooting anybody wants, and that that's ridiculous. But I expect
nothing else from our media and ourcountry anymore. Take everything to the ridiculousness.
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty
three at Chad Benton shows your Twitter, your Instagram, Raycon, best earbuds
around, Love my Raycon. Letme tell you about the new Raycons.

(01:04:39):
First of all, the new everydayRaycons are an improvement on the best earbuds
around. So I had my lastset of Raycons for like two years,
never had an issue with them, got my new everyday earbuds. They're amazing,
They're incredible. They are more comfortablethan ever before. The sound quality

(01:05:00):

me, the noise cancelation is incredible. Now, I want you to say

love Blue. If you've never seenBluey, you've got kids, you've got

cent DNA samples of the animals toallow in Sacramento to be tested to see
if they match the DNA of thechild attacked at the Botanical Garden. Some
visitors have taken note of the coyotewarning signs. We're surrounded by a city

(01:07:24):
filled with concrete and somehow, youknow, nature finds a way and they
find these little oasis in the middleof the city. Wildlife authorities remind people
to be careful around coyotes. Ifyou encounter one, slowly walk away.
Also, authorities want you to realizethat just because you see a coyote doesn't
mean it will attack you. Yeah. So this was in San Francisco at

(01:07:45):
the Botanical Garden. They've killed threecoyotes that bit the girl. She suffered
minor injuries and she will be fine. But as our good friend in yours,
jeff Old Bloom would say, naturefinds a way. We have them
everywhere here. I remember Charlie andI were golfing last summer and I think

(01:08:09):
we're on the fourth hole, soshe's with me. She's a golf She
just hangs out and likes to ziparound in the little cart. I tried
to get her to golf, weeven got her tiny clubs, and she
just wants to hang out and drivethe cart. So we're sitting there.
I'm getting ready to tee off andshe's like, Daddy, look, and
I turned around. She goes,it's a coyote. And it was probably

(01:08:30):
fifteen free by us. But it'salso the middle of the day, and
I thought, oh, and itwas a big ass coyote. At first,
I thought it was somebody's German shepherd. Then I realized it's a coyote.
So they will come out because naturefinds a way. So be warned.
People. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four

twenty three at Chad Benson Show,is your Twitter, your Instagram? A
lot of you chiming in about theCOVID stuff, talking about it a little
bit ago about how nasty COVID wasfor young children in particular. So we
talked about the college kids, andwe've talked about the other kids out there,

(01:09:15):
you know, the middle schoolers andstuff, and even some of the
elementary school but the toddlers who arestruggling with so much. And we'll get
to some of your texts a littlebit, but I thought this was interesting.
We can't be all to mcgloom kidssongs songs that you think, Oh,
I know what that is. Iknow what these words are, and
you don't. These are some ofthe most listen to songs of all time,

(01:09:39):
but also the most misquoted songs ofall time. Where should we start?
How about a little kiss? Youknow what it is? I want

(01:10:02):
to rock and roll all night andpart of every day is wrong. A
lot of people say that the correctverse is I want to rock and roll
all night and party every day. From there we move to the great TV
band, The Monkeys. Then Isaw her face. Now I'm a belie

(01:10:27):
down in my mind. Then Isaw her face. Now I'm gonna leave
her. This is what a lotof people think it is. It is
wrong. Then I saw her face. Now I'm a believer. It's in
the title of the song, people, I'm a believer. Stevie Dicks.

(01:10:50):
She singing just like the one wingDove. That's what everybody hears, right,
listen again, does not do songsas actually singing. Just now.

(01:11:20):
That one's hard because it sounds likejust like the one wing Dove. That
is wrong, Just like the Whitewinged dove. We'll do some more of
these, but I'm gonna throw onemore in here, and it's gonna annoy
you if you're listening, because you'regonna get it stuck in your head.
But well, what can you do? It is not we built this city

(01:11:55):
on sausage rolls, which apparently alot of people think it is. And
if you think that you have aproblem, it's we built this city on
rock and roll. That is starshipright there. Three two three, five,

next hour, more on the immunityinsanity. Do the Democrats feel like,
hey, this has given us somethingelse to gripe about. We can take
our eye off Biden right now? What's going on. That's tough to do
because he met this weekend with abunch of donors. The big donors out
there are not thrilled. They're angryat two things. We're going to talk

(01:12:40):
a bit about what those things areand will the Democrats nominate him anyway?
What does that say about the stateof politics that we're in? Three two

(01:13:30):
independent life, This is Chad Bensoninsanity because of immunity? Yeah, is
it full immunity? Can Trump dowhatever he wants? Can he just go
out and just start shooting people onFifth Avenue? Like you said? No,
no, you can't do that.I think everybody knew this was coming.

(01:13:50):
I'm actually kind of surprised they didn'tsettle this question many many moons before
Trump ever arrived on the scene.I'm gonna go back remind everybody, if
they don't have immunity, then shouldwe bring Barack Obama in for droning an
American citizen and killing them without theirdue process? Well, no, I

(01:14:13):
don't think you should that because hewas trying to be you know, he's
president of United States. He wasdoing it. Well, there's the slippery
slope, but it doesn't mean youdon't freak out. This election is no
longer about the old guy that's inthe white House. Now all the op
ed pages and the New York Timescan run around and opine about you know
what Joe Biden should do, andyou know, enjoy yourselves, intellectual thought

(01:14:34):
leaders. I no longer care.Doesn't matter to me anymore. It's above
me now, it's above me.Now there's a waffle house next door above
me. Now it's above Joe Biden. Now, don't care about Joe Biden's
he that he shuffled when you walk. I don't care. He could be
seated for the rest of from nowto election day and never get up off
a chair. He could sit down, he could roll around in a wheelchair,
he could be on a skateboard, seated. I don't care. Donald

(01:14:56):
John Trump cannot be allowed back intothe White House. How do you really
feel joy based on your overreaction? Can I just say it's all theater?
What she really saying is Trump isgood for business. Trump is they're not
worried about democracy. I'm here totell you, are you worried about to

(01:15:19):
know? When I hear the peoplein the riko, you know Joe Biden's
going to destroy the country. Nohe's not. No, he's not.
Can I just remind everybody. Thecountry is not one man or woman.
It is not senators and congress people. It is you and I. We
are the country. They work forus. They are not going to destroy

(01:15:42):
the country. We would have toallow that to happen. And is bitterly
divided. As the media enjoys seeingus, it isn't going to happen.
And when I hear joy read loseher mind. Is if you combine that
madman with this court, two ofwhose members are insurrectionists to one of them
flew an upside down flag at hishome and lamed it on his wife,
who's also crazy. You combine thiscourt, two of whose members are going

(01:16:06):
to immediately resign and put thirty yearolds, so they are kings and Trump
is king. You put him inthe White House. Combined with this court
and a Republican House and Senate,we're done, y'all. All the rights
that were won in the twentieth century, the hard earned rights of women,
laborers, workers, they are tryingto repeal the entire twentieth century, and
they're doing it fast. They arerepealing the American century, the twentieth century

(01:16:30):
because they don't like it and theywant back the nineteenth century, the century
when super rich white men, uncheckedand untaxed, amassed great wealth, passed
it down with no taxation to theirdescendants, and pretended that they had earned
it on their own, that theywere just masters of the universe. What
the hell are you talking about? How'd you get to that? How did
you start out with? He's amadman going to destroy the world, install

(01:16:54):
himself as king that you don't careif he drools and can't walk and whatever.
So when I hear that, youknow what I hear? He's great
for business. This guy, thisguy here, this guy here, he's
not good for business. This nationwas founded on the principle that there are
no kings in America. Each eachof us is equal before the law.

(01:17:15):
No one, no one is abovethe law, not even the President of
the United States. Today's Supreme Courtdecision i'm presidential immunity. What that fundamentally
changed for all? For all practicalpurposes, Today's decision almost certainly means that
there are virtually no limits what thepresident can do, which is boloney.

(01:17:38):
We'll get to that in a second. The media loves Trump. This isn't
about right left. When it comesto Trump. I hate Trump. I
love Trump. The media loves him. He is a cash cow. He
is the reason that people do init. Nobody watches Morning Joe, so
they can sit there and you know, outside of defending Biden, what else

(01:18:00):
are they doing now breaking down what'sgoing on in Palestine? In Israel?
Not much. They're not getting toserious conversations about inflation. They're not talking
about China and what they might do. Oh, they'll touch on it a
bit. They don't get deep intoany of that stuff. It is basically

(01:18:20):
op ed piece after op ed piecewhere they can slam the former president because
they know it works for their audience. That's it. He's great for business.
He's great for business, so youcan invite people on to say wacky

(01:18:43):
things like this. I guess youknow. Theoretically President Biden, acting within
the scope of his official duties, could dispatch the military to take out the
conservative justices on the Court and he'dbe immune telling you, guys, he's
great for business, he's great forbusiness. We care about democracy, do

(01:19:13):
you really? Yes? If youhonestly care about democracy and you one hundred
percent care about democracy, then theyneed to be absolutely transparent in what is
going on with this president right nowbecause I didn't vote for this president.
I didn't vote for the other guyeither, by the way, So which

(01:19:36):
I'm going to hear from all theMAGA people. You're the worst. It's
just it's so frustrating. We dodeserve better. I'm here to tell you
that. But that being said, even if you voted for Biden, you
know who, you didn't vote forthe people behind him that may be pulling

(01:19:59):
all of the stre and making largedecisions for a man that may not be
capable of doing it anytime after threeo'clock in the afternoon, or maybe some
days he can at three, butmaybe other days he can at noon.
We didn't sign up for that asa nation that the first time FDR that

(01:20:24):
last term, he was a hotmess man. They ran that thing for
as long as they could, foras long as they could. When he
was sick, when he was dying, people were pulling the strings. We
do not want that, we don'tdeserve that, and we didn't vote for
you. So you need to betransparent because for all the people out there,

(01:20:47):
it's like democracy, democracy, democracy, this is a democracy. You're
lying to the American people and you'rehiding something to potentially is dangerous to our
allies at a time when there's chaosgoing on around the world. So let's

(01:21:12):
have an honest conversation about that, which we should be having, but we
won't because we can't. Yesterday, though the scathing, scathing side of my
arm, scathing rebuttal to the evilrogue. I loved that. I love

(01:21:32):
how the Supreme Court is now rogueand evil when it leaned to the left.
The right didn't freak out about it. They're pissed about some decisions,
but they didn't lose their mind likethis. And if it was six liberal

(01:21:54):
justices, they'd be over the moon. The Court wouldn't be rogue. Sure,
we would love to have it wherethere is no no thought on politics,
no belief writer left, just oraclesof the law who float around.

(01:22:15):
But that's not what we have. That's not it's out of my orb.
Not happy. I was struck by. I think a number of people were
just how sharp the descent was fromJustice Sony so to Mayor, who wrote,
in every use of official power, the president is now a king above
the law. Orders the Navy's SealTeam six to assassinated political rival immune organizes
a military cup to hold onto power. Immune takes a bribe in exchange for

(01:22:39):
a pardon. Immune Immune Immune Immune, by the way, takes a bribe
for pardon. Go look at MarkRich and he's no longer with us,
but go look at his pardon onthe way out from Clinton. Oh and
Chad just saying where is the line? So Zaibawe was pissed and angry.

(01:23:04):
Then they went to ty cop notthe baseball player. He's dead. Ty
cob here his work with Trump. Not a fan of Trump anymore. But
they asked him on CNN, howdo you feel about what she said?
So I thought her descent was alittle hysterical and it really offered no analysis,
a lot of screaming, no analysis, and I think that was unfortunate.

(01:23:24):
I'm disappointed that Justice Kagan didn't writea descent that sharply focused on the
separation of powers issues, which arethe core issues here. You can't design
a rule that is solely about Trumpwithout putting the democracy at risk and eliminating
some of the restraints that have historicallygotten us through two hundred and fifty years.

(01:23:45):
Separation of powers as the cornerstone ofthe Constitution, and as much as
I wish Trump would get his comeup and send his due for his evil
conduct. The reality is you justcan't go out and have a result or
renit effort by the Supreme Court. It needs to be based on principle and
precedent, and I think for themost part this is I was disappointed that

(01:24:08):
Justice sot in my air didn't addressat all the separation and powers issue,
which is what the case was decidedon. I'll translate that for you.
There was zero contexts and it wasall based on Trump. Zero context Immunity

(01:24:28):
doesn't mean immune from everything. Itmeans as president of the United States,
when handling your duties, you're immuneif it is a personal issue, like
you're like my ex is dating somebodyand I can't stand him below him up.
That's a different story. That's personal. So that's that. But the

(01:24:57):
whole thing is this had nothing todo with the presidents in the past and
the presidents that are coming in thefuture. Only thing that anybody cared about
is Donald Trump in this and that'swhat ty Cobbs said there. You can't
just make this about Donald Trump. And they should have settled this a long
time ago, by the way, long before Trump got in office three two,

How's it going? My dating lifeis a joke. I can't even

this girl, we're texting for alittle bit. It's going well. I
say, hey, do you likecoffee? She says, yeah, I

(01:29:53):
love coffee. So in my mindI'm like, okay, cool, we
mesh on something. Do you wantto get coffee sometimes? So she texts
back and she says, this isn'tgonna work for me. We have different
approaches slash principles to dating. I'mnot gonna waste our time any further.
And she blocked me. You justsaid you love coffee. What's wrong with

little more and just enjoy a warmor cold beverage. With caffeine. I
can't even make this stuff up.I like that. Hey you like coffee.
I like coffee. Hey, weshould get some coffee sometime. We
have different beliefs based on coffee, based on the fact that you like coffee
and I like coffee. Yeah,I don't like coffee. By the way,

Thoughts, Independent life. This isChad Benson. The debate prep was supervised
by Ron Klain, who has beenwith President Biden for many years. And
people I've talked to have all beento Ron Klain in the last year to
say we have a problem. Wehave a problem such as we saw the

(01:31:41):
other night, that there have beennumerous instances where the President has lost his
train of thought can't pick it upagain. There was a fundraiser at which
he started at the podium and thenhe became very stiff, according to the
people there, as if it werealmost a kind of rigor mortis. Wow,
sster Bernstein there talking about this.Yeah, people have had questions for

(01:32:04):
a while, but you could neverask that because we live in a time
when if you ask a question, somebody could say something bad about you.
You're racist, you're a homophobe,you'r xenophobe, you're an agist, you're
this, you're that. No,these are just fair questions. The minute
we stop inquiring about things in lifeand just being told to go along with

(01:32:26):
whatever, that is the the reallynot the beginning of the end. No,
no, no, no, itis it is like the end.
That's where we're headed to. AndI'm not talking about the demise of democracy,
but I'm talking about the fracturing atsuch a point and at such a
level that it's going to be hardfor us to get back to being what

(01:32:48):
the nation that we were supposed tobe, which is, we have disagreements,
we have competition with states, butthe same time we respect each other.
And I'm finding that and less. This was said allegedly in Junior twenty.
This was June. This was ayear ago, almost exactly at the
Old four Season's restaurant on Park Avenue, and he became very stiff and a

(01:33:14):
chair had to be brought for himto do the latter part of the event.
I think that what these folks aresaying and have been saying for a
while is, yes, he's greatwhen we see him as we have tonight,
but he also has these inexplicable momentsthat we are very concerned about.
And you, Ron Klain and theFirst family, we need to talk about

(01:33:39):
this, and they've been pushed backrepeatedly whenever it's been brought up, and
that is not a good thing. It's not we need to know the truth,
not because we want something bad tohappen to Joe Biden. I'm here
to tell you this right now.I don't think he's the worst president of
all time. I think all presidentshave their missteps, and I think all
presidents of good and bad, andI think for the most part, they

(01:34:02):
all want to make an effort andtry and love this country. I think,
and I don't think Donald Trump's theworst present of all time. I
don't A lot of people do Alot of who mostly modern people who lean
to the left. I've always said, you guys know how I feel about
Donald Trump, like a lot ofthe policies, hate the chaos that comes
with them still makes me laugh,Don't get me wrong, makes me laugh

(01:34:24):
big time. But I want transparency. If Donald Trump starts to get to
the point where he looks like Bidenlooks, we need to know and we
need to find out how we invokethe twenty fifth Amendment, how we remove
him. But it's kind of telldemocracy Chad again, get over it,
settle down. I just I can'tanymore. Not only do the American people

(01:34:47):
need to know the family, everybodyelse. That's your husband, that's your
husband up there, that's your son. That is something that I think we
aren't talking enough about the fact thatpeople are just, for whatever reason,
ignoring that fact. And I don'tthink we should. I don't three two

(01:35:14):
three, five, three eight, twenty four twenty three Atch had Benson show
to Twitter your Instagram. It's Tuesday, so you know what that means,
tick talk Tuesday. So when y'allare saying that y'all used to drink from
the hose, were syncs not anoption? Who's gonna tell them? You
want me to tell them, I'lltell them, we weren't allowed in the
house. I don't know why that'sso hard for people to understare here.

(01:35:35):
Our childhood was like one never anyepisode of that TV show Survivor. Okay,
we are indestructible. We've never satin car seats, nobody's ever given
us swimming lessons. We've all beeneither shot with a baby gun or stabbed
with a jart. Oh yeah,I was trying to explain to the kids
the other day. We used tohave giant lawn darts. That was a

(01:35:57):
game, and everybody has a friendwho got hit with one. That was
a game. They're like, whatdo you mean lawn darts. I'm like,
let me tell you about lawn darts. Imagine having a mini javelin and
the goal was to throw them backand forth and into these you know,
like a tic tac toe kind ofthing. Try to explain to him.

(01:36:18):
See now they play cornhole back thenWe're like, all right, check it
out. You go over there.I'm gonna stay here. I've got giant
javelin darts and I'm gonna throw themover there. Stand next to that.
Though. Halfway through this is gonnabreak down because we're kids and we'll just
throw them at each other. Yougot shot with a baby gun all the

(01:36:38):
time. Our parents reaction was justdon't shoot them in the eye, not
because they were worried about losing youreye, but because they were like,
we just we don't have the moneyright now to get you fixed. Oh,
we were a different breed, usgen xers. The television stations had
to make a commercial reminding our parentsthat they had kids. You not.

(01:37:00):
Every night on the ten PM news, a voice would come on and say,
it's ten pm, do you knowwhere your children are? To remind
our parents that they had kids.So no, sir with the Beanie sings
Toronto an option no, because themillennials now are coming at the gen xers.
And it's funny because older millennials whohave older gen X brothers and sisters

(01:37:26):
are warning the younger millennials, Look, whatever you think you can do to
them, whatever cancel culture you thinkyou can bring to them, whatever,
it isn't going to work. Thisis the Lord of the Flies. Was
like, oh my god, thatwas like our vacation. That's what this
is. So they did drink outof a host they used to follow.

(01:37:46):
We did as kids. The thepesticide truck thingy that would come down the
street to spray for mosquitoes because itwas so cool looking and we'd follow it
while we're getting all the stuff onus. They did have commercials to say,
do you know where your kids are? That was us. We drank

(01:38:09):
out of hoses. Every one ofus is eating some sort of bug because
a friend dared us. It wasvery serious. So if you want to
come at us, know that wewill come back, and when we do,
it is not a comfortable position foryou to be in because we live
in a world where facts will stompon your feelings. We need to be

(01:38:32):
honest about this debate. We needto talk about it point blank. Joe
Biden's old, But you knew thateverybody in America knew that the reality of
this situation here is not this debate. It's understanding that Joe Biden in America
is running against the existential threat inDonald Trump that is threatening to destroy the
fabric and the seams of this country. That's not hyperbole. That's not a

(01:38:56):
joke. That's not a game.It is real life with real consequences.
Yeah, it's not hyperbole. Fabricand seam of America ripped apart, torn
to shreds. We no longer exist. This is not a normal presidential election.
This is a situation in which DonaldTrump is trying to wreck our lives.

(01:39:16):
Because, let me tell you something, in a year from now,
are you gonna be sitting here whenwe've seen a further elimination of our rights?
Vote have kids? I've yeff. Are we gonna be sitting here at
that point when they're stripped away? And we're talking about a debate when this
man tries to go and jack upthe prices of everything that you buy,
when he tries to put a tariffon everything to make sure that you pay

(01:39:41):
more out of your pocket, arewe gonna be sitting here worried about a
debate in America? That's the personwho is coming unhinged by the way the
whole tariff thing. If you understandthe way that tariffs work and the fact
that it's an un fair playing field, and so putting tariffs and taxing makes

(01:40:02):
it a little bit more level playingfield for workers here. And just to
let you know, sir, ifyou're paying attention, which you're not,
obviously, Joe Biden got rid ofvery few tariffs and didn't change much of
the path that we were taking withTrump and his way that he was coming
at China. So strowing that outthere a little TikTok. Tuesday three two,

(01:40:24):
three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty three at Chad
Benson Show to Twitter, we're gonnawrap it up and straight ahead. We
did a little bit last hour. We're gonna a little bit more coming up
of miss heard song lyrics, includingmaybe the most famous one of all and
the story behind it where you maysing it actually right, but it's not

(01:40:45):
really supposed to be that. We'lldo that straight ahead. Bullwar, Capital

(01:42:15):
not the country, the institution, the Chad Benson Show. I think people
all the this chill out. Thiscan't happen anytime I sit in president.
It takes it upon himself to debate. It has happened historically. So it
happened to Ronald Reggite, It happenedto Barack Obama, and now it's happened
to Joe Biden. But I've beencalling this a classic example of preparation overload.

(01:42:38):
I just think that there should havebeen much less preparation for this debate
and much more activism in his job. Yeah, nobody's buying that, James
Clyburn right there, because the battleis still going on. They're getting out
there telling everybody in the world whowill listen. Hey, this was just
a one off situation. Everything isgreat. Nobody buys it, and the

(01:43:01):
donors, as we talked about earlier, aren't buying it, and they need
to buy it big time if they'regoing to spend their money. But I've
heard from a lot of you, some of you who hate Donald Trump.
Some of you can't stand Donald Trumpwith every fiber of your being, every
ounce of who you are as ahuman being. You hate Donald Trump.

(01:43:21):
But you also understand that you can'tvote for Joe Biden. So he's got
a long weekend to think about it. Remember we're going to be off tomorrow
as well as Thursday and Friday, and of course the weekend. It's it'll
be very interesting to see how thisthing plays itself out because No matter how

(01:43:42):
many times you tell the world thatyou're fine, until you show them you
are fine, until you demonstrate overand over and over again that you're good,
they're not going to buy it.They're not And people are asking the

(01:44:03):
question, what did he say?I'd understand he's mumbling, which brings us
to this, see the way Idid that. There did a little bit
last hour. Some of you lovedit. We're gonna do some more this
hour to wrap up the show.Miss quoted song lyrics, we got four

(01:44:23):
more for you today, including onethat is probably the most misquoted of all
time song lyrics. But it's notmisquoted in the way you think, because
you may actually be singing it right. It just wasn't supposed to be that
way. But first we start withElton john sometime. Now, what do

(01:44:55):
you think he said? Hold mecloser, Tony Danza, No, hold
me closer, tiny dancer, Butyou knew that right. How about a
tougher one. So don't bring medown from E. L O. Electric

(01:45:23):
Light Orchestra, Jeff Lynn and theBoys. Don't bring me down, Bruce,
No, don't bring me down.Groose, don't ask no idea.
It's not Bruce, it is groose. We move on right. I could

(01:45:51):
listen to CCR all the time.Bad moon horizon, CCR. There's a
bad moon on the right, there'sbath move on the right, bathroom bad
moon, what is it? There'sa bad moon on the rise, which

(01:46:15):
brings us to today's last one.And we're gonna give you a little bit
of something something because at that timeof the show, we give you some
stupid information. And then I goand spoil it all I say something stupid.
All take stupid pills this morning. It's the honest ones you want to
watch out for, because you cannever predict they're gonna do something incredibly stupid.

(01:46:36):
Now you're the fat, stupid onewith the big mouth. Is stupid
little time. You should never underestimizethe predictability of stupidity. Now it's time
fall stupid information. Now. Thismay be the most miss quoted song lyric

(01:47:03):
of all time, and in aweird way. You may be singing it
right. Either way, you gowith it from Manfred Mann cover from a
nineteen seventy three Bruce Springsteen song blindedby the Light Night Now, everybody says

(01:47:35):
blinded by the light, wrapped uplike a douche. What so the truth
behind the famous misheard lyric, it'sactually an accident. So they covered the
song three years after the song cameout. They weren't thrilled by one portion

(01:47:59):
of the song though, So they'resinging about a nineteen thirty two V eight
powered forward known as a deuce coopand Chris Thomps, the lead singer,
says he cuts loose like a deuce. But they didn't like the loose part.
They said it was too corny,so they changed it up. However,

(01:48:21):
when he went to sing it,he's singing wrapped up like a douche.
Now he meant to sing deuce, but at the time, because of
the technical process, they couldn't fixit. The song went on to become
number one, and they said, look, because of the misheard lyric that

(01:48:42):
you may or may not be singingright, they think it helped them.
I think they're absolutely right on that. Three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four, twentythree at Chad Benson Show. Is your
Twitter tweet at us. Text ofprogram right here on The Chad Benson Show.
We're off Wednesday, We're off Thursday, We're off Friday, Saturday,

(01:49:03):
Sunday. It is going to bea crazy week as we head towards the
election, but there's a lot ofstuff still to be decided in this wacky,
crazy world. There's no doubt aboutthat. I just want to tell
you this. The beauty of ourcountry is our freedoms. And those founding
fathers that decide to put that nameon that document said yeah, we want
any part of this. That declaration. They signed their death warrant and they

(01:49:25):
stood behind it to give us allthese amazing freedoms and we're absolutely blessed.
That being said, you're going toget drunk and try to blow stuff up
while you eat a hot dog, come back with all your digits please.
Okay, that's all I'm asking you, guys. Have a blessed rest of
your Tuesday. I'm not really afan of Tuesday Night night Jack. This
is the Chad Benson Show.
