(00:10):
Independent thoughts, independent life. Thisis Chad Benson. Momentum is amazing,
Enthusiasm is amazing. That's what theRepublicans have. Momentum like you couldnot believe.
Like a freight train running down hill, you can either move, get

(00:37):
on board, or get run over. That's the reality of what is taking
place. Listening to people who arehuge detractors of the GOP, listening to
people who can't stand maga Donald Trumpsay things like this was amazing to see.

(01:03):
I got goosebumps, it was aweinspiring, et cetera, et cetera,
et cetera. Guys, if you'rethe Democrats, stop thinking, well,
what can we do to win theelection? Nothing? Well, so
and so polls better than Biden andstill loses. Now, I'm gonna break

(01:29):
it down for you in ways thatothers just don't coming up. In a
little bit, I'm to give youkind of the thing I would do if
I was Democrats. But listening tothe pundits last night, listening to the
people who are there in person outsideof MSNBC because they decided not to go

(01:49):
there and instead they're sitting in aroom where there's a green screen and feeling
like they're there. We'll talk aboutthat a little bit later. They understand
the energy man. You can't youever watch a sporting event and the crowds
behind the feeling of this inevitability,of this wall of momentum that is just

(02:10):
going to overrun the other team. That is what is happening with the Republicans,
and it's all getting out now.The other night, Adam Schiff was
that I don't know if it's afundraising thing, and he said, Biden's
got to pass the torch. He'sgot to get out of the way now.
He said it in private, butof course we live in a time

(02:31):
when somebody's got sholler phone and theyfilmed it, and so he had to
come out and say, yeah, you gotta go. Adam Shift clearly the
most high profile Democrat yet to publiclycall on the President of the United States
not to seek reelection. How bigof a deal is this. Here's one
reason why I think it's a verybig deal. You cannot separate out how

(02:52):
close Adam Shift is with the formerHouse Speaker Nancy Pelussi, who holds a
lot of cards in this scenario.Publicly, even though many of them agree
with Adam Schiff. They are seenpolling in their districts, they're seeing what's
happening in the doing stage, andthey believe Biden himself just simply doesn't get
how serious and trouble that he isin and now he could take down the

(03:13):
whole party with and that's a bigdeal. And we're going to talk about
that in a little bit because I'mgoing to tell you guys right now,
what I'm hearing from my sources isthere is a big schism on even which
way to go when it comes toBiden and stay in, stay out?

(03:35):
What do we do? And ithas a lot to do with money.
So Schiff is out, Nancy Pelosiis like, you gots to go.
Chuck Schumer did. This was aone on one meeting, just the Senate
leader and the president, and thatChuck Schumer forcefully made the case that it
would be better for Biden, betterfor the Democratic Party, and better for
the country if he were to bowout of the race. When I went

(03:58):
to Schumer's office to tell them Iwas going to report this and tell you
this tonight, absolutely no denial fromSenator Schumer's office. They only said this.
Leader Schumer conveyed the views of hiscaucus, in other words, the
views of Democratic senators. I amalso told that Haakim Jeffreys, the Democratic
leader in the House, has expressedsimilar reviews directly to the president. Man

(04:24):
it is we said he wasn't goingto be the nominee, but will he
study president? But you can feelthe momentum, the enthusiasm. So much
of what in the world of politicsis voter enthusiasm. There is none for

(04:45):
Biden, zero, zilch, nada, which means it's going to be dragged
on the ticket. And the voterenthusiasm is growing. A sense of unity,
Yes, because of what took placeon Saturday. The voter enthusiasm was
already there. There was some momentum, but it is really picked up and
they understand that. The media evenunderstands it. Republicans are energized, Democrats

(05:09):
are demoralized. It's a great placeto be Donald Trump. It is not
a good place to be Joe Biden. I think a lot of Democrats right
now are trying to figure out what'sthe best path forward. But Joe Biden
is being arrogant. Joe Biden's beenprideful. He doesn't want to leave.
So what do you do in thatscenario. It now feels like the problem
with Biden is that he doesn't seeit right, and that the reason he

(05:31):
should go is because he can't seethe argument that he should go, which
is hard. And that's the stubbornnessfor a lot of reasons. So we've
talked about it before. On thehuman side, you are in over time
in life. This is it.There is nothing else after this. So

(05:54):
there is that portion of you thatis clinging on to not just the power
and the presidency and the allure ofthat, but also in some cases life
itself, meaning itself, in life, this is all you've ever done.
I don't think we can discount that. But the freight train is here a
sault with Obama. You guys, remember that McCain had no chance, no

(06:16):
chance Reagan when I was a kid. The enthusiasm everywhere, my goodness me.
You've seen it in the past. You can feel it in the world
of politics. Everybody can. Abullet couldn't stop Trump. A virus just
stopped Biden. You've got the nomineesof this party getting their butts kissed.

(06:40):
Biden's getting his butt kicked by hisown party. The Democrats are coming apart.
The Republicans are coming together. BenJones. You see it in his
face, this resignation of they're nota lot we can do. And the
thing that we counted on, ofthe destruction of democracy and all of that

(07:04):
kind of stuff. A lot ofthat went out the window with the lying
to the American people about Biden, who's running the country, how sick he
is, or isn't, how muchof a struggle he's having, or isn't
all of that stuff. People arestarting to question certain things, and then
of course what took place on Saturdayis in their mind. Oh wow,

(07:30):
this is just the look of strength. You're not hearing, Oh you know,
Trump has got you know, mentalderangement syndrome of some sort. You're
not hearing that, You're not. What you're hearing now is yeah, we
can't scream about democracy when we havea guy that we've been lying about.

(07:53):
Can't scream about democracy when there's achance that other people and it's being reported
that Nancy Pelosi is pulling a lotof levers behind the background and a few
others, which is scurry. Youknow, this is the end game.
Now you may be able to runout the clock and stay on the chicken.
But you got to lead. Thedonors are walking away. The best

(08:16):
people in our party, the smartpeople in our party are looking at the
math and saying, the math don'tmath. And so it's important, I
think that we recognize that this couldbe this is the end game. One
way or the other is the endgame. The math don't math. It's about
as perfect as you can say it. And we're going to get into the
states because it has gone from sevenswing states to potentially adding another seven on

(08:43):
there and that right there is abad situation down ballot for the Democrats.
Meanwhile, the Secret Service, whatthe effort you did? Why do you

(09:03):
still have a job. According tolawmakers briefed by the FBI, the Secret
Service knew the shooter was on aroof nearby twenty minutes before he took his
first shots. Lawmakers say the FBIhas provided this timeline. At the Republican
Convention, several Senators confronted Secret ServiceDirector Kim Cheatle, Oh, that's him.

(09:24):
Cheetle has agreed to testify Monday onCapitol Hill as she faces more calls
to resign as she should. Asshe should, but it was a sloped
roof, Are you kidding me?And we're finding out more about this guy.
Apparently he had gone onto a gamingplatform and posted something that July thirteenth

(09:50):
was going to be his day,his world premiere. He had searched RNC,
DNC, Biden, Trump, I'vesaid mentally serious issues. People are
now saying, yeah, he hatedall politicians. Some of the other things
I've said he is he was pissedand angry and wanted to be somebody.
I think that's what we're going tofind out about this no real ideology,

(10:16):
just pissed at the world, thathe was a nothing and that maybe,
just maybe where he was at wasthe best he was ever going to be.
Oh wow, but you've failed miserablyand the fact that you still have
your effing job is amazing. AndI'm not saying you should be fired,

(10:39):
because you should. You should haveresigned. It is a tremendous hole in
security at a time when security ofpeople like obviously former President Trump, President
Biden and people that are vulnerable tobeing attacked and gets threats almost daily that
you just cannot take any chances.Don't worry, it's he's gotten shooting A

(11:03):
little while we got time. Youguys want some coffee. Remember this was
the enhanced security because of the crediblethreats that Iran had put out there three
two, three, five, threeeight, twenty four to twenty three,
Atch had Benson Showshoe, Twitter gota lot of stuff to get to today.
Democrats not only are they split onshould he stay or should he Gojoe,

(11:26):
they're split on where do we putthe money? And money matters,
baby, You know that rough greensmoney matters, right. You don't have
to spend any except shipping, andI'll tell you how you can get a

(11:50):
dog alive for many many years whenhe probably shouldn't have been around. And
it kept them healthy, energetic, happy. That matters. Scott from Anchorage
seid about rough greens. Our poochhas been sick since he was a puppy,
with thyroid and arthritis issues. Thebiggest improvement scene is his coat.
It is so soft and he doesn'tshed nearly as much. Yay, he
seems to have more energy, andwe haven't had to have monthly allergy shots

(12:13):
yet, so it's all good stuff. Plus he seems to really like rough
Greens. It never sticks his noseup when it's chow time. If you
love your animals like I love myanimals, give them something that is healthy.
Dogfood is dead food. Roughgreens isgoing to help bring your dog's food
to life with vitamins, minerals, probiotics and make a three six' nine.

to roughgreens dot com slash Chad that'sru ffgreens dot com slash chatter called eight
eight eight ninety my dog eight eighteight ninety my dog for a free jumpstart
trial bag of Rough Greens. It'sa Chad Benson Joe, you're listening to

(13:09):
the Chad Benson Show. Election isa choice between Joe Biden's vision for American
weakness and Donald Trump's vision of Americangreatness. America needs a president who will
secure our border. America needs DonaldJ. Trump. Grandpa, you are

(13:31):
such an inspiration and I love you. We will fight with our voices,
we will fight with our ideas, and in November fifth, we will fight
with our vote. A working classguy who had overcome childhood traumas that I
could barely fathom to end up atYale Law School. And so tonight,
mister Chairman, I stand here humbled, and I'm overwhelmed with gratitude to say

(13:56):
I officially accept your nomination to bevice president of the United States of America.
Some of the highlights from last night. Kai Trump, the granddaughter of
Donald Trump, did great. Shewas seventeen. Man, she looks like
Ivanka. There was some serious mojoin that room last night. You could

(14:16):
feel it, and there was alsoagain unity, something that I got to
be honest with you didn't think.I think there's a lot of infighting and
stuff going on, and you're alwaysgoing to get that in politics, but
there seemed to be this massive divideand right now it's one of those things

(14:37):
where it's a freight train and you'restanding on the tracks. We were just
talking about it with the entire situationwith Biden, because dropping out, okay,
so he drops out, maybe stepsaside makes Kamala president. As we
were just talking about, the realityis simply this right now, this is
a freight trade. It is cominghard and fast and you're not stopping it.

(15:01):
So your choice is do what, get hit by the train, get
out of the way, live tofight another day if you will. But
there was tons of energy in thebuilding last night. They like JD This
crowd channing JD Van jad Vans evenchanning for JD. Vance's mom at one
point, even his grandmother at anotherpoint. I thought it was really notable

(15:22):
how many times he really mentioned battlegroundstates, and notable because that's exactly what
former President Donald Trump wants him todo. I mean, he made it
crystal clear when he announced that JD. Vance was going to be his running
mate that he really wants him tozero win on these Midwestern battleground states that
could ultimately decide the election. Threetwo, three, five, three eight,
twenty four twenty three is your textline, your comment line? You

(15:43):
could leave a comment there as well. In the Chad Benson Show, and
of course that includes jd Vance's homestate of Ohio. Like I said,
it's a freight train. At thismoment in time. The momentum is too
strong, think for the Democrats tostop, and the Democrats are desperate because

(16:04):
there's the thought of do you justlet it go, regroup and fight in
a couple of years to win themidterms. That's a good question. The
gold Star Families last night very movingand very damaging, very damaging, I
think to Biden, if you goback and you look at when things really

(16:26):
became a tipping point for Joe Biden. Afghanistan. Afghanistan was a nightmare,
zero accountability for anything that took placethat day. We lost thirteen young men
and women. It was an absolutedebacle, and it was hailed somewhat as
a success by Biden, which isabsolutely insane. And it was I mean

(16:53):
again, the struggles that he hashad in the past when it came to
the foreign policy has always been there. Robert Gates talked about in his book
said he's been wrong on every majorforeign policy decision ever. But Afghanistan was
a debacle and that was the beginningof the end. And since that time

(17:18):
it has been flub after Flubb witha few success stories. I think the
end is nigh, my friend, the knives are out. Talk about that.
A lot of other stuff to getto three two, three, four,
twenty three at Chad Benson Show. That's your Twitter, your Instagram.
It's a chat Benson. Check theChad Benson Show, Independent Thoughts, Independent

(18:00):
Life. This is Chad Benson COVID. He's got the current president right now.
Isolated. I saw somebody earlier saidnot only isolated physically, but also
politically. I think that's real. It's out giving interviews and speeches. And

(18:21):
he was talking to b E.T. Black Entertainment Television and another one
of his masterpieces here, look atthe heat. I'm Gennett because I named
a sturin defense a black man.I named Katanji Brown. I mean,
because of the people I've named, and so it's all about treating people in
dignity. Lloyd Austin, Sir,his name is not black man. His

(18:48):
name is Lloyd Austin, Lloyd Austin. It's his name, not you know,
a black man, the black guy, the colored. That's what it
is. Waiting for him to say. It's like, good cod, Now,
what do you do if you arethe Democrats, because I spoke to
a democraticgainside her last night. Workson a ton of campaigns at the state

(19:12):
level and federal level, like sendingpeople to Washington and also winning state Senate
and Congress seats. And the fightinside the Democratic Party is going in several
different directions. Everybody's got their Okay, you know, he needs to get

(19:33):
out, and then you've got somepeople say you need to stay in.
Well, why would he stay in? Because nobody wants this outside of Kamala,
which we'll get to in a second. If i'm them, this is
what I would do. But thatfight is where do we put the money?
Where do we put the money?Because not only is the money leaving

(19:53):
and money matters kids. For thoseof you not keeping score, you don't
have money, you can't run.You will run forever if you've got the
money to run, and that moneyis going away. One of the big
donors, who's a Hollywood person,no way Hollywood leans to the left,
actually has already written a speech withseveral points on it was reading in the

(20:18):
Daily Piece, so he can bowout gracefully. Now, what's more important
the presidency or down ballot Because alot of these people that you're coming out,
who are arguing and fighting and sayingstuff. They're worried about control of

(20:40):
the House and the Senate. Sodo you put your money in the down
ballots now? Because the way theylook at it is, hey, we
can control him. We could beTrump's you know, people to keep him
in check. So if he wantsto have a bunch of mag of people
that are going to run wild, well, guess what, we can keep

(21:02):
them in check. But only ifwe control the House. In the Senate,
We've got to have one of those. It's got to happen. Plus,
you've got people that are worried thatthey're in tight races and they may
lose. Fourteen by the way, fourteen states, the seven Swing states and
other states Colorado, Minnesota, Virginiaall coming into play. That means down
ballot may come into play. Sothe battle is not only for the presidency

(21:33):
in their mind some of them canit be saved. It is also,
hey, we can lose everything. Now if I'm the Democrats, it's just
me. Not only do I getBiden to step away from the campaign,
not seek a second I get himto resign. You've put yourself in a

(22:00):
position because of your you know, hey, identity politics. That stepping away
from Kamala would be a nightmare foryou on the political level where you scream
about DEI and all this kind ofstuff. So you just that's the issue.
But if they were to have aopen, you know, contested convention

(22:26):
and a free for all, theycan't control the donors and the voters who
may say I'm all about identity politics. Yeah, no, I put Chreshian
whitmare. Her only chance to runfor president at the top of the ticket
is if he steps down, shetakes over and guess what, she's got

(22:53):
her chance. Remember she ran forpresident already and that didn't go well.
She didn't make it to Iowa. But at least you have somebody on top
of the ticket fresher. They cango with that, and then you can
focus the rest of the money elsewhereif you're trying to save it, Because

(23:15):
the thinking is, we could stillsave the presidency if we got somebody new
but smart money saying hey, let'skeep Trump in check. We're not going
to win this. He's a freighttrain at this moment in time. So
let's try to win some houses, some of the house and get that thing
back, and let's make sure wehold on to the Senate. That's what
we got to do, otherwise it'sgonna be ugly. Now, speaking of

(23:40):
Kamala, Stephen A. Smith wason last night with news Max talk about
a lot of different stuff about her. Is she ready, isn't she ready?
He made some good points, youknow, because a lot of people,
look, will the black voters allcome to her? Is that the
only reason you're covernor is because she'sblack. That's silly. Is she delivering
anything that you want? Well, one of the things that an issue for
her is immigration, because she's thebizarre in the same breath, remember she

(24:07):
was considered bizarre the person that wassupposed to handle the whole immigration crisis to
some degree in terms of the border. A lot has been made on the
right about how she's only made onevisit, about how ten and a half
million people have crossed the borders illegally. Clearly they're throwing a finger at the
Democratic Party when this is an issue. As you well know, a hell
of a lot better than me hasexisted for far longer than one administration or

(24:30):
even two or three. For crimeout loud, but that's not going to
stop them from blaming her, topoint the finger at her in terms of
what they've deemed to be a crisisand what the Democratic Party has acknowledged is
problematic and something that she hasn't doneenough to fix. She well, I'm
not looking for you to fix something, because I understand the politics of politics,

(24:52):
which is it's a good thing tohave an issue to fight over.
But the fact that you've been thereonce and then nobody's heard from you again
ever really talk about it, that'sa serious issue. And when it is
a issue for about forty percent ofthe voters across the board as a serious

(25:15):
issue in their top two or three, well, that doesn't help you at
all. Continue, Stephen. Andso when you take all of that into
consideration, there's going to be trepidation. But in the end, the vast
majority of black Americans in America, they're going to be of the mindset anybody
but Trump, and that is whatis expected to help up most. We'll

(25:37):
see whether or not that's true. We'll see, we will see if that's
true or not. I'm the Democrats. You've got several paths to take,
and none of them are good. But if you are, if I'm running
the party saying where are we goingwith this simple I go to him and

(26:02):
I say time for you to stepaway. I'm going to take the issue
of will it be her or willthere be a fight that embarrasses the Democrats
because you you know, it's allabout identity politics in a lot of way,
and you took it away from ablack woman. I'm going to take
that out of your hands. Plus, you guys can check the box.

(26:22):
We are the first female president. And then you find somebody on a Pete
bootage or somebody on the ticket andjust let them go. Say this is
your chance, because she's not gettinganother chance. If Biden runs and loses

(26:44):
four years from now, it's notgoing to be Kamala. It isn't It's
not going to be her. She'sgoing to be the president of a college,
she is going to be on theboard of several plays. It's not
going to be her. She couldn'tdo it the first time. So this
is your chance. Take it outof everybody else's hands where they would look
bad, and say this is youropportunity, and we're going to help you

(27:06):
with the war chest, and we'regoing to funnel some money and then the
rest of that money needs to goand try to secure the House and secure
the Senate, so you can say, at least we have some check with
Donald Trump. We'll see if thathappens, because they fumbled their way through
a lot of this stuff and continueto do so day in and day out.

(27:29):
Three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty four to
twenty three Atchadventon show. Is yourTwitter? Tweet at us, text the
program. Love hearing from every singleone of you. I guess there was
a phone call over the weekend thatgot a little heated with Biden and a
zoom call. Let's just say heyelled at some folk, showing just how

(27:51):
tense things have gotten between a defiantJoe Biden and key members of his party.
Sources tell me that the president lashedout at Congressman Jason Crowe in a
Saturday call with House Democrats that happenedafter the Colorado moderate relayed voters concerns about
the President's vigor and strength, especiallywhen it comes to the world stage.

(28:12):
Biden, I'm told, got soupset with Crow's blunt assessment that at one
point he said, quote cut thatcrap out and told Crow he could walk
away if he wants, and heis, as are a lot of other
people. Why because he's in oneof those states, is now becoming in
play and they're all worried about theirpositions as well. Three two, three,

It's the Chad Benson Show. Welcometo chess Chet. No, not the

(29:47):
country, the institution, the ChatBenson shows Shift. What the Bear Got
was an Emmy's record twenty three nominationsfor the FX show about what it takes
to run a high in restaurant. That's the most nominations ever for a comedy
series thirty Rocket twenty two nominations intwo thousand and nine, but with even
more nominations this year. The firstyear FX series Showgun War is coming.

(30:07):
The Japanese feudal drama scored twenty fivenominations, and well, that's not the
most in history for a drama,it is the most for any show this
year. The Bear and Showgun areup for Best Comedy and Best Drama,
respectively. Best Comedy, Showgun TheBear Really. Now, I've seen a
few episodes of The Bear. Iknow everybody gets into it. It's about

(30:30):
high end restaurants and all this kindof stuff we're talking about yesterday. How
do you get a Michelin Star?Right, because this guy, the whole
premise of it, his family hadlike a small deli. He was a
big time chef. And he comeshome because there's been a death in the
family. He's gonna take everything over, and he takes his little deli starts
turning into this like high end restaurantkind of thing, and you know,

(30:52):
the family dynamics. But we're talkingabout how you get a Michelin Star,
and nobody knows how you get onebecause nobody knows who the Michelin Star people
are. They just show up.They don't announce it, they're not wearing
shirts or anything. They just showup at a restaurant. And then you're
like, hey, we got aMichelin Star. Fantastic. I think they
tell everybody, Hey, we're gonnabe in this area, so be prepared.

(31:14):
But The Bear is not a freakingcomedy, and among the shows it's
up against for Outstanding Comedy is thefinal season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, with
it's eleventh none in that category.Curb show runner Jeff Shaffer tells me it's
kind of weird. To be upagainst the show like The Bear. I
love The Bear. Bear's a greatshow. It's not a comedy, and
I don't think they think it's acomedy. No one thinks it's a comedy,

(31:36):
and there's a reason for that.It's not a comedy. It's a
really good drama. We'll see whatshow wins at the Emmy September fifteenth on
ABC. I think the thing isthey they're like, Okay, we're gonna
have six in this category, butthere's twelve great shows. Well, then
we'll give them Best Musical. Whywell, they play music in the show.
It's in the background because we wantthem to get nominated. It's bizarre.

(31:59):
It is. We're gonna watch itin the next couple of days.
Jade Vance obviously last night accepting thenomination as the vice presidential candidate, but
his story is amazing and his storycan be seen. Before JD. Vance
was Donald Trump's pick for VP onthe Republican presidential ticket, and before he
was a senator from Ohio, hewrote a book about his early life called

(32:20):
Hillbilly Elogy, which was turned intoa movie. I told you that I
would too bad. You always saythat the twenty twenty. Film starred Amy
Adams Glenn Close. It was directedby Ron Howard, and given the interest
in vance, people want to checkit out. It's now at number six
on Netflix's Most Watch Movies list.Critics trashed it when it came out,
but audiences liked it, and itscored Glenn Close and Oscar nam Jack.
And by the way, critics arecritics. That's what they're there for to

(32:44):
criticize. Usually, if you goand you see a movie, I'm always
it always makes me laugh because criticswill give it one hundred percent, and
then you look at the audience solike they give it twenty three percent,
and then the critics give it thirtyseven percent, and then the audience gives
it ninety three percent. Entertainment ismade for entertainment. Although again, this

(33:08):
is his life story, and it'sa pretty damn compelling one. Seeing his
mom there last night, she's beensober, what ten years in January,
it, you know, very compellingstory, the whole thing is. But
on top of it being on thecharts again on Netflix, I think it's

(33:28):
Amazon's bestseller right now. People tryingto figure out who this guy is because
not everybody knows six and ten Americans, And this shows you that a lot
of people don't really follow politics tooclosely. Six and ten Americans don't know
who Jade Vance is. They haveno idea who he is, so introducing
himself to the world. He's gotsomething that nobody else has. He's got

(33:50):
a compelling story that's on film that'spretty damn good. Oh. Indeed,
last night history was made in asoccer game in America. Cavin Sullivan was
busy Wednesday night making history. TheChester, Pennsylvania native made his debut for
Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union, theyoungest player to debut in any major US

(34:15):
team sport at fourteen years and two, one hundred and ninety three days old.
After the match, this is justa start. Really really happy to
have done this, but it's honestlythe first box checked off. English soccer
giant in Manchester City already has adeal in place to sign him once he
turns eighteen. The interesting thing aboutthis kid, because you know Freddie bea

(34:35):
Freddie Adou who was the talked aboutkid all these years ago. In fact,
Freddie Ado and Messi are about thesame age and a du and then
played I think it was in theunder seventeen or eighteen World Cup and Messi
was there. Adu was the bestplayer in the entire tournament. Something happened
though with Freddie and he just neverreached his peak potential. This kid,

(34:59):
I think, is on a differentplane. We're always talking about the star,
this person, that person, andwe've got all these young kids that
are coming up. It's kind ofGolden generation. This kid, I think
is the real deal, and he'sgonna go play with City once he becomes
eighteen. He's already they got thedeal in place and everything. Fourteen,
I told my son, what areyou doing? You're asking me for an

(35:22):
electric bike? This kid's playing prosoccer. How about getting a job?
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three
at Chad Benson's Show. It's yourTwitter, your Instagram, all the other
things on the Chad Benson Show comingup next hour, a lot of stuff.
Look forward tonight's speech. Unity. Can there be unity? Here's a

(35:45):
question for you guys out there whoare maybe not never Trumpers, cause those
people are I get why you're notgonna vote form I got zero prompts.
Then what about the people out therethat are truly undecided. Not for Trumpers,
but close to it. Is thereanything he can say? Is there
anything he can do and portray thatwill get you to go, I'm gonna

(36:08):
give you another chance? Talk aboutthat obviously. Why isn't she fired the
director of the Secret Service? Becausethe more we find out on a daily
basis, the worse it gets alot of other things to get to Chad
Benson Show. This is the ChadBenson Show, Independent Thoughts, Independent life,

(36:51):
This is Chad Benson. Joe Bidenasked COVID, which, according to
MSNBC is as bad as being shot, so insane, But his survival of
that and bouncing right back and goingright to his convention is being conveyed in
the media world as a sign ofstrength. This current president of the United

(37:15):
States is eighty one years old andhas COVID. Should he be fine in
a couple of days? Doesn't thatconvey exactly the same thing that he's strong
enough older than Trump to have gottensomething that used to really be fatal to
people his age. So if hedoes fine out of it and comes back
and is able to do rallies, isn't that exactly the same? I mean,

(37:37):
it's not exactly the same. It'snot same incident, but it's an
elderly man coming through out of anillness. It should You're not helping.
You're not helping. It's an elderlyman, just out of curiosity. We'll
come back to that in a second. Saying he's an elderly man doesn't help
his prospects of wanting to stay inthis race. Well, it's an elderly

(38:00):
man. It's an elderly man.Sorry, that's not helping. None of
that is helping. One of themis portraying strength. One of them is
showing hey, I'm the boss. The other one is struggling to get through

(38:22):
an interview. One of them isstruggling to get up and down stairs.
So saying the by the way,the flu for elderly people is dangerous.
More from MSNBC. Not at theconvention, but at a green screen some
of them are. But also toremind people of what hell we went through

(38:45):
with COVID because of Donald Trump. Here is a great messaging opportunity for President
Biden to bring out the tape andremind people of how many people died.
A million people are no longer withus. People's grandmas were dying alone with
their iPad great opportunity and messaging opportunity. Should the White House choose to take
it again? Not helping because whoseidea was it to isolate everybody? Well,

(39:08):
because of Donald Trump, he didn'tcreate the virus. Under him,
they did what they got a vaccine. When Joe Biden came into office,
Remember what he said, if thatmany people died under my watch, I'd
resign. Well, guess what morepeople died under your watch? And you
had the vaccine that Donald Trump helpedchampion, and the fact that people had

(39:28):
to die alone and schools were closed, and do you don't want to relitigate
this, trust me, that's nota winning issue. It's not a winning
issue at all at all. Lastnight was a pretty damn good night,
I thought, by the way mostof the speakers that I saw, cause

(39:49):
I come in for like that,Like I've been to music festivals, like
I'm going to go see the threeor four bands. I want to see
the big ones. Maybe once ina while you'll have this band's Like,
dude, you got to go seethese guys. This is when I was
younger. Now because of parking andI don't want to do any of that
stuff. But the I watched someof the speech, it's not everybody.

(40:09):
I thought Kelly and Conway did great. I did. I thought jd Vance
play some Himan him degree. Ithought his wife was amazing. I thought
she was incredible. I thought shewas awesome. I think Kai Trump's granddaughter

(40:32):
did an amazing job. But thepeople that I think stole the energy outside
of jd Vance for all of thespeakers were the gold Star families. I've
said forever in a day, dudehas never recovered, ever from what took

(41:04):
place in Afghanistan. The families arepissed and angry. Joe biden owes the
men and women that served in Afghanistana debt of gratitude and an apology.
It was real, it was raw. It was man of all of the

(41:30):
speeches. You know, people talkabout Amber Rose. Her speech really kind
of was damaging to the Democrats.A lot of people. Van Jones said
that maybe those damaging speech the teamstersjust having him there. He didn't endorse
Trump, but the fact that hewas there and he was invited was a

(41:50):
big deal. But last night MSNBCcut away from it the minute it started
to get uncomfortable. Day with thewhole thing what was demonstrated last night.
And I think this there have beena number of moments they've been labeling people
like this everyday Americans, right, they've been bringing them into the convention,
and there have been a number ofstrong moments around this. But I mean,

(42:12):
the way that they did this atthe convention last night was honestly very
It was powerful. It was apowerful move to make it was Conventions are
contrived, and I don't say thatin a bad way. It's important to
convey what you're what you want thepublic to see, and the public needs
to see what you want them tosee, right, that's the news and
it's important. But this was notcontrived. These were real people and it
was raw emotion and it was authentic. And to see an authentic moment like

(42:36):
that, it's something as scriptured asa convention. I think was it was
moving to everyone, and I thinkit goes to Joe Biden's very real problem
why he's never recovered from Afghanistan. Most Americans agreed with him that if we
should get out of Afghanistan, butthey felt he did it incompetently and then
he treated these families as if theirsacrifice was acceptable collateral damage. That's a
real problem. That's a real problem. And would you go look at the

(43:00):
numbers and the polls. The slidestarted there and it's never ever ever moved
back over fifty percent. I mean, you're right that his polling is never
ever recovered. If you look athis approval disapproval rating, it crosses and
at that time of the Agasi withdrawaland has never recovered. In terms of

(43:22):
what happened last night, this isa completely self inflicted air on the President's
part, and the reason has nothingto do with his advisors. This goes
to the president himself. The Presidentis incredibly defensive about his decision to withdraw
from Afghanistan and the criticism that cameafter. And the fact is that Joe
Biden, who is known and hasplenty of evidence of having, you know,

(43:44):
have great empathy for people in grief. It was clear at the moment
that that happened that he did notmeet the moment he looked at his watch
while people came off, like whilethe bodies came off that plane. Afterward,
the families complained that he was talkingtoo much about his own son,
not about their sons, and Inresponse to the criticism from those families,

(44:06):
he did not reach back out,and Donald Trump took quick advantage. Starting
in September of twenty twenty one,Donald Trump was on the phone with these
families, meeting with them, spendingtime with them. And that's why they
were on that stage last night isbecause Joe Biden, who is supposed to
be this is supposed to be thething he is greatest at, was too
defensive to reach out to those families. And that's why this is now a

(44:30):
political problem. Form it's for theelection, yeah, big time, it
is. And when he said contrivedearlier, it's all a show, because
that's what it is, right,It's a celebration of show coming together.
Like anything you plan those things. What goes on though the minute that the

(44:53):
mic is cracked and those people geton stage, you don't know how they're
going to do and how it isis it. Does it feel contrived?
Does it feel fake? They wereauthentic, They were real. They were
you could feel the emotion, andthat is so damaging. He called it

(45:14):
a success. Nobody got fired. There was never any accountability. And let's
not forget the fact that they wentand they bombed the wrong house and killed
a dude who was going out toget milk for his kids. As a
as a response to all of this, my goodness, me just that absolute.

(45:37):
It just gets worse, and thepoll numbers show it. How much
longer does it have? How muchlonger can he stay on? And I
said last hour? And I continueto say this if I am the Democrats,
I am absolutely one hundred percent pivotingaway from him now and saying we're

(45:59):
gonna either oust you or you stepaside now, and by step aside,
you elevate Kamala. She picks avice president, they're gonna run. We're
hoping to save the down ballots. That may be the best we're gonna do.
And it was a stroke of geniusthat the Republicans in the Trump campaign

(46:22):
when Kamala said we're going to havea debate JD Vance and I, they
didn't accept. Oh because they're scared. No, because they said, we
don't know who's going to be onthe ticket. Oohoo, you text the
program three two, three, five, three eight twenty four, twenty three.
There's no way the Dams want Kamalato be president, even for a
day. It's going to be sointeresting to see how they bring this debacle

(46:45):
through. I guess Biden can stepdown as the nominee, but not resign
as the president. I think he'sgot to do both. And I think
in doing both, he can sayI'm a hero, I'm doing it for
the betterment of the country. Hecan elevate her look what I've done.
And then hopefully she catches some tractionand maybe the disdain and hate of Trump.

(47:10):
Can they can rile that up enoughthat But I don't see that happening.
I just don't because even when theypull while he pulls better against Biden,

(47:30):
he still polls better against Kamala. And here's something else. Everybody's got
a plan until they get punch inthe face. Mike Tyson running for vice
president. They're looking at some stuff. They want to know some of your

(47:50):
you know, where's your baggage, where's all the dirt and stuff? Running
for president as a whole new level, because it becomes not just your bag,
it's your dirt, but the spotlight. And we saw her when she
ran the first time. She isn'tgood in the spotlight. She struggles in
the spotlight. Three two, three, five, eight, twenty four twenty

talk about that straight ahead, Andno, I'm not talking about Kamala.

Well, not only does it changethose popularity polls in a big hurry,
but it's also interesting to notice whoit is who assassinate. Do you ever
notice who it is? Stop tothink of who it is we kill.
It's always people who've told us tolive together in harmony and try to love
one another. Jesus Gandhi, Lincoln, John Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, Martin

(50:08):
Luther King, Medgar Evers, MalcolmX, John Lennon. They all said,
try to live together peacefully. Bamright in the head apparently when not
ready for that. George Carlin backin the day talking about assassination, how
does she still have a job?Honestly, how does she still have a
job. I know there's a process, but this is what pisces people off

(50:30):
in America. When you screw upin I don't know government, you just
get to keep your job, youget a retirement with all of your pay,
or you just get moved laterally somewhereelse. How does she still have
a job after I don't know,an assassination attempt where we're finding out more

(50:52):
and more every single day of anabsolute failure. Well, when you like
this, that building in particular hasa sloped roof at its highest point,
and so you know there's a safetyfactor that would be considered there that we
wouldn't want to put somebody up ona sloped roof, and so you know,

(51:12):
the decision was made to secure thebuilding from inside. Yeah, that's
the decision was made to have abunch of people huddle inside there and let
him climb on the roof. Areyou kidding me? It is a tremendous
hole in security at a time whensecurity of people like obviously former President Trump,

(51:34):
President Biden, and people that arevulnerable to being attacked and gets threats
almost daily that you just cannot takeany chances. They knew how long in
advance, as we're finding out moreabout this, an hour potentially in advance,
twenty minutes. They knew that therewas some sort of issue that needed

(51:55):
to be dealt with, and whatnothing. He should have been eliminated one
way or the other within one ortwo or three minutes. So the only
thing I can come up with isjust a total breakdown of communication. No
in competence three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four,

(52:16):
twenty three at Chad Benson Show.Is your Twitter tweet at US text the
program on the Chad Benson Show. That's what it was. In competence And
this was the beefed up security becauseof the Iran threats for killing Sulimani.

(52:37):
Remember that when he dropped the ninjabomb or whatever it was called, the
samurai bomb on him. This wasthe beefed up security. A lot of
stuff still to talk about today. It's more than immigration JD Vance coming for
him hard, aren't they man? They are They're looking for anything. It's

(52:57):
crazy. He got some text messagesfrom you guys, some love, some
hate. I expect that, youknow, vivek the other night, I
thought gave a hell of a speech. Maybe we'll play some of it.
One of the things that he said. And I always say this because I
posted something the other day about someof the stuff. I get, uh,
And I'm okay that you you sayhorrible things to me if that's what

(53:19):
you need to do, and Iwill always fight for your right to do
that. And I love that hesaid that the other night. We may
disagree. I may find what yousay repulsive, but I will fight for
your right to say those things. And I think we need to understand that
free speech is a wonderful thing andwe shouldn't take it for granted, because
you know, Trump's coming in totake it away. I know he is

(53:42):
three two three, five, threeeight, twenty four to twenty three at
ch Ed Benton Show, to Twitter, your Instagram. Oh my goodness,
what a hell of a week. And I feel like it's gonna get crazier.
We'll look forward to Trump's speech tonight. Also, how long can Biden
hold on? Because the knives areout? And yeah, I feel like

(54:04):
the end is not my friend ChadBenson. Joe Such Chad Benson, Joe,

(54:36):
independent thoughts, independent life. Thisis Chad Benson. This election is
a choice between Joe Biden's vision forAmerican weakness and Donald Trump's vision of American
greatness. America needs a president whowill secure our border. America needs Donald

(55:00):
Jay Trump. Grandpa, you aresuch an inspiration and I love you.
We will fight with our voices,we will fight with our ideas, and
in November fifth, we will fightwith our vote. A working class guy
who had overcome childhood traumas that Icould barely fathom to end up at Yale

(55:21):
Law School. And so tonight, mister Chairman, I stand here humbled,
and I'm overwhelmed with gratitude to sayI officially accept your nomination to be Vice
president of the United States of America. Some of the highlights from last night,
This is It, Tonight, Thisis it headliner Tonight Trump? Who

(55:44):
else is speaking? Eric Trump,Tucker Carlson, Mike Pompeo, But right
before Trump interesting Dana White, whichI think is interesting, and then of
course Donald Trump. The question iswhat are we going to get? Pre
the assassination attempt on Saturday, theyhad it planned out. After the assassination

(56:06):
attempt, things seems to have changed. Calling for unity. A lot of
people are wondering what are we goingto get for Trump tonight? What what
are we going to get from hisspeech? Are we going to get the
fighter, of course, but arewe going to get somebody who is going
to call for more calm, callfor more unity. That's what a lot

(56:27):
of people are trying to figure out, because yes, being shot and almost
dying gives you a whole new perspectiveon missing out on everything else in life,
not just the power and the presidency. We're going to get a new
kinder Donald. I don't know abouta new kinder Donald, because I think
he is who he is? Butare we going to get a guy with
a new, fresh perspective that hedoesn't always need to be? Is is

(56:52):
who he is kind of person allthe time? I read car Rolls column
in a Wall Street just Is editorialin a Wall Street Journal alluding to just
that talking about this was his momentto speak on unity, to be an
aberration of what we've seen him besince twenty and sixteen, and certainly after
this experience. I haven't had thatexperience you haven't had that experience he has,

(57:16):
and so one would think if yourlife, if you're just an inch
or a millimeter from being dead forcrying out loud, that that would give
you cause to pause and potentially forceyou to change a little bit. And
I think it will. You know, last night jd Vance, it was
very interesting. I thought he didan amazing job. I thought he struck

(57:43):
the right tone. His story isawesome. But I think what Trump is
doing in some ways is surrounding himselfwith some of those people that can be
that attack dog that he wants, that can fight some of those battles that
maybe he doesn't take on every battlehimself. Maybe he tries to portray himself

(58:06):
in a much different light. SoI don't know what we're gonna get tonight,
because there's a portion of me said, yeah, this may I mean,
this really may have changed. Howcould it not have some effect on
you? And at the same time, it's still Donald Trump. So I

(58:27):
don't know what we're gonna get tonight. I think it's gonna be have a
different feel obviously than what we wouldhave seen and what was planned. But
for those out there who think he'sgonna go super soft. That isn't happening.
And for those out there who wanthim to fight every battle all the
time, I don't think that isgonna happen either. I think something else

(58:52):
has taken place, which is hehas surrounded himself with much better political people.
Now he's gonna have his yes peopleand the people that are loyal to
him, but he's also surrounded himselfon the campaign, in particular, with
better people as far as the acumenand understanding of how to do the politics.

(59:15):
I was watching several people last nightechoing something we've been saying for a
while is his ground game is muchbetter, the understanding of politics is much
better, and he's ready from dayone, which is different because he wasn't
ready to be president. I don'tthink anybody ever is ready to be president,

(59:36):
but he was really not ready tobe president. And I think he
knows what to expect now, andI think on day one, the apparatus
and the machine that is going tobe in place is going to hit the
ground running in a way that itdidn't. He's, you know, he
is not going to have to spendmonths trying to get people confirmed. He's
not gonna have to do he's gota group of people that are ready to

(59:58):
go. Now we'll talk about alittle bit later. Can you get anybody
to work with him? Will somepeople want to work with him? Or
is you're only going to have Idon't think he is going to surround himself
with only sick of fans. AndMick mulvaney said something interesting last night,
and we'll talk about a little bitlater. Trump loves the chaos, and

(01:00:20):
that's what I've always said. Calmand quiet is painful to him. And
he likes conflict. He's always likedconflict. And Mick mulvaney pointed something out
last night about conflict with Trump thatis very interesting on how he comes up

(01:00:40):
with the things that he thinks weshould do this or we should do that,
How we make some of those decisions. Three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four, twentythree at Chad Benson's show, is
Your Twitter? You have got QAnon? We know about that lead the charge
from the Left Blue A on JoyReid. We still don't know for sure

(01:01:07):
whether Donald Trump was hit by abullet, whether he was hit by glass
fragments, whether he was hit byshrapnel. We don't have those details.
We actually have no details from hisphysician. Even though this man is still
a Secret Service protected you know, and presidential candidate, we knew almost nothing.

(01:01:30):
Why why don't we know that much? We know that three people were
shot, one person unfortunately was killedat the rally. We don't know where
they were sitting or standing relative tohim. We don't know why for nine
full seconds, Donald Trump was allowedto stand backed up during an active shooting,

(01:01:53):
an active shooter situation, even thoughthey at that point had said the
shooter the shooter was down. Howwould have they know? How they would
they have known if there were moreshooters or not. Nobody knew that there
could have been five shooters for allthey knew. Wow, blew any kids?

(01:02:14):
Yet they allowed him to stand upin the middle of that, you
know, crisis and pose for aphoto and this pump the air so he
could get the iconic photo. Andthen they allowed him to stand up again
outside of the suv instead of justshoving him into the suv. That seems

(01:02:35):
really unusual. What is the actualinjury to Donald Trump's ear that's under that
bandage? Shouldn't we know that bynow? It's weird and there doesn't seem
to be a whole lot of curiosityabout it, you know, in the
sort of media world. You know, my profession. It's weird, right,
where are the foya is? Whyisn't the New York Times like aggressively

(01:02:55):
pursuing his medical records. It's justit's weird. Well, because of Hippa,
give me his medical records. Ohyeah, she is, Uh,
she may be the worst, right, you had the race Baders, the

(01:03:16):
al Sharptons of the world, theJesse Jackson's, the people who lived on
it, you know, and profitedfrom it. She has taken it to
a whole new level. And she'spart of that Blue and On. And
there's a lot of people out thereon the left to feel like, oh,
this was all faked. Oh yeah, him killing some people, snow,
big deal. I'm like, mygod. And the funny thing is

(01:03:37):
QAnon and bluing On are battling overthe conspiracy of this. The Blue and
On people don't think that happened orhe did it to himself, and the
QAnon people think that it was deepstate And it's fantastic. This is where

(01:03:59):
we are. And you know whosefault this is? Right now? The
Secret Service and we need to knowwhat happened, and transparency needs to be
there. And the fact that KimberlyCheatle still has her job and she hasn't
resigned is amazing and she's gonna getgrilled on Monday as she should. She

(01:04:24):
should be done. So oh yeah, do you guys didn't hear? Yeah?

the Biden is isolating of Delaware aftertesting positive for COVID, putting his campaign
on pause. The White House sayshe's taking packslovid and experiencing mild symptoms,
including a running nose, cough, and fatigue his COVID diagnosis, putting his

(01:06:44):
campaign on pause amid heightened concerns aboutBiden's health, with a growing number of
Democrats urging the eighty one year oldto step aside as their party's nominee.
Just this week, Biden said hewould do so if there was a serious
medical reason. I don't know COVIDis that, but it definitely buys him
a little bit of time. Oddthat it came at this moment in time,

(01:07:08):
I think there's a lot behind whatis happening. And like I said
earlier, and we've talked about throughoutthe show, the knives are out for
Biden and he's fighting for his politicallife. But if you're the Democrats we've
been talking about it, do youmake him get out out say look,

(01:07:30):
not only is it the best thingfor you to do is not to run
the best thing for you and forthe party and for Kamala. If she's
going to be it because she is. If this was an open primary,
she's not getting the gig. Sheisn't remember she already ran for president,
couldn't even make it to Iowa. The best thing may be give her the

(01:07:57):
presidency. She can run his quoteunquot and incumbent have access to some of
the money. But even then, where does the money want to go?
We're gonna talk about that next hour. Would that even stay with her?
Or are they just everybody going tofocus on down ballot tickets and say,
hey, we're done with this, this this run for presidency. Let's see
if we can hold on to theHouse and this. Let's see if we

(01:08:19):
went back to the house hold ontothe Senate, because that way we can
keep Trump and check three two, three, five, three eight, twenty
four to twenty three atch had Bensonshow is your Twitter? This is such
an American thing. Now we justtalk about nature messing you up. Sometimes
nature makes you laugh. This isnature with a twist. It's about a

(01:08:41):
parent that everybody wants to adopt becauseit effing cusses. A recent Facebook post
from the Niagara SPCA is racking upthousands of views, likes, and sharers.
When I posted that in the daysafter, we got several applications for
adoption. That post part of theagency's effort to find Pepper the parrot a

(01:09:04):
new home. Hello, Hello,do you want to come up such an
American thing? Hey, we can'tfind this parrot a home? Why because
all it does is drop f bombs. It's like, is a Turett's parrot?
No, it's just a dirty sailorparrot kind of thing. The ad

(01:09:27):
also serves as a notice because Pepperhas a bit of a potty mouth.
Well his famous line is do youwant me to kick? But you can't
blame the profanity prone parrot because Pepper'snot looking for his second home. He's
looking for his third. You see, he's been up for adoption before twice.

(01:09:47):
He's had to move and he doesn'twant to do it again. So
consider this. You're warning. Wouldyou have a parrot like that you have
young kids? Yes, I would, because I'm American and it's hilarious.
You know, if you've got youknow, children in the home, and
you've got visitors that come over, the chances are Pepper is gonna be a

(01:10:13):
little offensive, or at least tryand kick them, Oh, yes,
hello, I love that. It'snot a racist parrot. It's just a
parrot that's got a filthy mouth. But my kids have never heard that language.
My kids have. I'd like toand I watch my language. I

(01:10:33):
do. I do watch my language, but not saying it doesn't happen.
Once in a while. My fiveyear old Charlie will call me on it
all the time as you should notlike it, because like a sailor,
when I'm playing sports, I do. I'm not gonna lie to you there.
When I'm playing sports. I've beenknown to maybe be like the parrot

(01:10:54):
pepper. Speaking of sports, Iknow that a lot of people don't like
Caitlin Clark in the WNBA, butmaybe you can thank her the excitement around
women's basketball reaching new heights. TheWNBA were poorly securing a new round of
media rights deals with NBC, Amazon, and Disney, the parent company of

(01:11:15):
ABC, worth about two point twobillion dollars over eleven years, about two
hundred million a year. This newmedia package a massive increase six times bigger
than its previous deal, which isgreat for them because salaries. This could
change the economics instability of teams, let alone the League itself and put them

(01:11:35):
on a potentially different trajectory. Yeah, it could, And a lot of
that has to do with Caitlin Clark, A lot of it does. Now,
let's compare it to the NBA dealthat was just signed. So that
was a two point two billion dollarsfor eleven years the NBA. Why why
can't we get paid equal seventy sixbillion for eleven years for the NBA?

(01:11:58):
So that's why such a jerk jedthree two, three, five, three
eight, twenty four, twenty threeat Chad Benson Show. It's your Twitter,
your Instagram and all the other thingsright here on the Chad Benson Show
Third Hour. What do you doif you're the Democrats, what do you
do? I've got a plan.I think this is what they should do.

(01:12:23):
This is how they should focus. And I think the money people are
heading in that direction because with anuncertainty around Biden, the fighting inside of
the party, and also I thinkafter the last couple of days and potentially
tonight with Trump's speech, the realitythat the momentum enthusiasm is on the Republican's

(01:12:47):
side. So how do you balanceout Trump talk about that lot of other
things as well, follow me acrossall the social media. This is the
Chad Benson Show. This is thecheck Dad Benson's show, Independent Thoughts,

(01:13:26):
Independent Life, This is Chad Benson. Move over, jd Vance and everybody
else. Trump tonight closing out theconvention. While this is going on,
there is still the Biden issue forthe Democrats, which is what the hell

(01:13:48):
do we do from here? Now? Biden has covid wish him as speedy
recovery, But the voices are gettinglouder and louder and more prominent and more
prominent and more prominent. Schiff,Schumer, Pelosi, Hakim, Jeffries,

(01:14:12):
you name it. They're all comingout saying it would be in the best
interest of our jobs if you wouldstep down. Oh now, if I
am the Republicans, I want themto stay because you've got all the momentum
in the world. Not that Ithink it's going to matter at this point

(01:14:34):
in time, because I don't,but it is evident that the end is
near. It's not if, butwhen, And by that I mean do
you step out of the race alltogether? Or do you step aside all
together and give it to Kamala, let her finish out the term. I

(01:14:58):
think that's harder to do for him. I don't think he wants to be
I don't think he wants to be. Well, I know he doesn't want
to be pushed out, must leaveon his own terms. Pushed out of
the race is one thing. Pushedout of everything is another. But then
he thinks, well, I couldbe the person that hands over the torch

(01:15:19):
the baton to Kamala. We've gotthe first female black president. Does that
how? I mean, it's it'scrazy, But I've said all along,

(01:15:42):
how many voices that does matter? The voices and who they're from matters more.
Did This was a one on onemeeting, just the Senate leader and
the president and the Chuck Schumer forcefullymade the case that it would be better
for Biden, better for the DemocraticParty, and better for the country if
he were to bow out of therace. When I went to Schumer's office

(01:16:03):
to tell them I was going toreport this and tell you this tonight,
absolutely no denial from Senator Schumer's office. They only said this Leader Schumer conveyed
the views of his caucus, inother words, the views of Democratic senators.
I am also told that Hakim Jeffreys, the Democratic leader in the House
has expressed similar views directly to thepresident, who's the voice matters as much

(01:16:28):
as anything else. Nancy Adam Schiffclearly the most high profile Democrat yet to
publicly call on the President of theUnited States not to seek reelection. How
big of a deal is this. Here's one reason why I think it's a
very big deal. You cannot separateout how close Adam Schiff is with the
former House Speaker Nancy Pelussi, whoholds a lot of cards in this scenario

(01:16:54):
publicly, even though many of themagree with Adam shift, they're seen polling
in their districts. We're seeing what'shappening in the swing states, and they
believe Biden himself just simply doesn't gethow serious and trouble that he is in
and how he could take down thewhole party with And that's a big deal.

(01:17:14):
The whole party. Now they're lookingat you are trying to save yourself.
We're trying to save everything. Westop trying to save the presidential thing.
After the debate, we stop tryingto save that. They're worried now
about down ballot because their thought iswe're not We see what's going on in
the arena. We feel, especiallythe media and the people watching it at

(01:17:41):
home, we feel it. What'shappening. So there is discontent among Democratic
voters. There is no enthusiasm outsideof a disdain for Trump. And on
the other side, momentum like youcould not believe, especially after this last
weekend, of feeling in a sensethat everybody is together and we're rowing in

(01:18:05):
the same direction, and that momentum, man oo, it is big.
It's a freight train. It's theTrump train. Right now. It's the
Trump train. So the Democrats arelike, look, we don't think we're
going to save this thing. Andthat's why I'm saying, you get him

(01:18:28):
out of the way. You installKamala, she picks a vice president,
you get behind her as much asyou can, and you take that rest
of the money and you put ittowards down ballot, because the down ballot
way is the only way that manyof the Democrat people I'm talking to winning

(01:18:50):
those things, winning back the House, keeping the Senate is a way to
control Trump out of that. Ifthis stays the way it is right now,
they think it's going to be,you know, for a lack of
a better term, a blood pathbeen disproven Chad. Republicans are energized,

(01:19:15):
Democrats are demoralized. It's a greatplace to be Donald Trump, it is
not a good place to be JoeBiden. I think a lot of Democrats
right now are trying to figure outwhat's the best path forward. But Joe
Biden is being arrogant. Joe Bidenhas been prideful. He doesn't want to
leave. So what do you doin that scenario? It now feels like
the problem with Biden is that hedoesn't see it right and that the reason

(01:19:39):
he should go is because he can'tsee the argument that he should go.
Yeah, can't see the argument thathe should go. And watching all of
these you know, from the CNNsto the even PBS last night, oh
my goodness, to the MSNBC folksoutside of Joey reading a few others who've

(01:20:00):
just lost their mind. You knowthat mainstream arm of the Democratic Party media
understands that it's over. Van Joneslast night, he's in the arena.
A bullet couldn't stop Trump, avirus just stopped Biden. You've got the
nominees of this party getting their buttskissed. Biden's getting his butt kicked by

(01:20:26):
his own party. The Democrats arecoming apart, the Republicans are coming together.
That the Democrats are coming apart andthe Republicans are coming together. You
know, this is the end game. Now, he may be able to
run out the clock and stay onthe chicken, but you got to lead.
The donors are walking away. Thebest people in our party, the

(01:20:48):
smart people in our party are lookingat the math and saying, the math
don't math. And so it's importantI think that we recognize that this could
be this is the end game. One way or the other is the endgame.
The math don't math, Van Jones, It doesn't math. Fourteen states
now potentially your swing states fourteen. There are seven that we know of.

(01:21:14):
We've talked about it, the Nevadas, Arizona's, Georgia, North Carolina,
Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania. We'vetalked about those. They're talking about Virginia,
Colorado, Manisula. We're talking aboutwhat the math don't math. His
path is virtually gone. But ifyou are the Democrats, you've got three

(01:21:40):
options. One keep it the same, live to fight another day, take
away the money, let him dowhat he does, and then focus on
down ballot. Focus on down ballot. Second thing, get him to step

(01:22:03):
away from everything, put her onthe ticket. She'll pick somebody who knows
pet bootygigs or somebody like that. They'll run and that'll be her chance.
You can check the box for lookwhat we did and buy some miracle that

(01:22:24):
has stained for Trump. Turns thething around. Great, but you're not
gonna throw all the money in theworld at it because you're gonna focus on
downballot. Because at this point,I think a vast majority of Democrats donors
feel like, if we're gonna controlTrump, it's gotta be because we don't
think we can beat him. Sowe got to figure out a way that

(01:22:44):
we can control and put on thoseguardrails. We're gonna have to win the
House in the Senate, We're gonnahave to win one of those. We're
gonna have to either control what wehave and hold it, or we're gonna
have to win back the House. We got to do that, or the
last one is he stays on,he gets out, and then you throw

(01:23:05):
everything up in the air at theconvention, and then I have to deal
with the fact that there's a goodchance that Kamala won't be it, and
then that all go to hell ina handbasket. In your world of identity
politics don't got a lot of options, and all of them don't seem to
be good. Noop, noop, noop, And it doesn't help the conversation

(01:23:29):
when the President, recovering from COVIDnow goes on to bed and says this,
right here, look at the heat. I'm genny because I named a
yeah, sector in defense black man, I named Katanji Brown. I mean
because of the people I've named,And so it's all about treating people in
dignity. The black man, thedefense secretary, the black man, you

trending and he is a youngster.Talk about that. A lot of other
stuff to get to as well.It is the one, the only Chad
Benson Show. You're listening to theChad Benson Show. Now it's time to

(01:26:26):
find out what's trending. What's trending? James Dean, Norway, Oman,
Pakistan, Qatar, Russia? Sirwhat trouping? Let's find out what's trending

(01:26:55):
on the Old Inner website on thisThursday? On the h who Kai Trump
number one trending thing, granddaughter ofDonald Trump? Last night, get a
very good speech. What's seventeen yearsold? In front of the world the
RNC, Caitlin Clark, It's ReelleDavis. I'd talk about that. It

(01:27:19):
was a put in handcuffs in frontof his kids on a flight. What
happened was race involved? He thinksso. Emmy nominations. Jack Black All
trending on Yahoo over to Google Biden. We've been talking about it all day.

(01:27:41):
It's man, it is. Itis tough to watch somebody who is
doing everything in their power to tryto save their political job life and it
just can't be done. And nowCovid also trending. Amazon Prime Day Emmy

(01:28:06):
nominations. Adam Schiff, the reallyAdam Schiff, Chuck Schumer both trending because
they came out and said it's timeto pass toorrch time to go. I
guess Adam Schiff said it Monday night. Might have been a Tuesday night in
a cause he's running for Senate inCalifornia and dip shift as we like to

(01:28:30):
call him here. Somebody caught iton film on the old camera, phoned
and he knew he had to comeout and say something before it leaked.
Major League Soccer trending. Kevin Sullivan. We'll talk about him in a second.
Iran three two three, five threeeight, twenty four, twenty three.

(01:28:53):
And it's your text line to yourcomment line right here on The Chad
Benson Show. And finally over toTwitter, RNC, Trump Vance, COVID,
jd Vance, Home Depot, AdamSchiff, Botox. Why Amber Rose

(01:29:20):
still in a fight with Joy Readat MSNBC called her a race bader,
Kevin Sullivan and Peter Navarro some ofthe things trending on the old Twitter.
There. Cavin Sullivan last night debutedin Major League Soccer. You're like,

(01:29:41):
oh, yeah, well, wasthat such a big deal. Well,
he's not much older than my son, who just turned fourteen. Jim Curtin
has said his job is to bea fourteen year old kid. It's not
some gimmicky thing to get headlines orsell tickets. This kid is running and
Calvin Sullivan history maker, now entersthis arena fourteen years and two hundred and

(01:30:08):
ninety three days old, breaking FreddyAduce record for the youngest MLS debut talk
by thirteen days. Yeah, heplayed the last five minutes. And this
kid is the real deal. Heis the real deal. Manchester City has
already bought him. They've got adeal in place when he turned seventeen,

(01:30:30):
so he'll be here in Major LeagueSoccer for the next few years and then
at times training over in England. But fourteen, what were you doing at
fourteen? Three, two, three, five, three, eight, twenty
four, twenty three at Chad BensonShow's your Twitter? A lot of stuff
still to get to Trump speaking tonight. What can we expect? It's a
Chad Benson, Joe Sun, ChadBenson, Joe, independent thoughts, independent

(01:31:15):
life. This is Chad Benson. How would God's name the director of the
Secret Service still have a job.Every hour or so something new comes out.
You may be listening to this ona podcast from earlier in the day
and you're like, oh my god, Chad, let me tell you what
else. So the shooter apparently wentto the shooting range the day before,

(01:31:42):
also posted in a gaming chat areathat July thirteenth was going to be his
world premiere, and they had foundthat his searches included RNC, DNC,
President Trump, President Biden. Ithink we're looking for a definitive. I

(01:32:04):
hate this. I think he hatedthe world because he was a loser.
He was a nothing, and hecouldn't handle that, and he was pissed
and angry and wanted to show theworld he was somebody, wanted to show

(01:32:26):
the world that hey, I amimportant, and let me show you.
You think I'm nothing, world,you think I'm I'm a zero, I'm
a loser, let me show you. And he tried and by the grace

(01:32:47):
of God, Trump survived, butone person lost their life. A hero
guy who's spent his life protecting others, a fireman, a father, a
husband, two other severely wounded.Yeah, tragedy, horror and questions galore

(01:33:15):
like At five to ten, Accordingto congressional sources, law enforcement identifying Crooks
as a person of interest. Policebelieve he used AC units to climb up
and gain access to the roof ofa building and eventually made his way to
the perch where he had a directline of sight to the former president.
So, okay, just half thefive o'clock, I ready did that.

(01:33:41):
Oh it gets better, It getsabsolutely better. Please see he as a
rangefinder, which can be used toestablish distance for target practice. And at
five fifty two PM, a sniper'smindingCrooks on the roof, roughly twenty minutes
before he takes his first shot.At six oh two, Trump walks onto
the stage, come on on topof the well. The crowd noticed a
suspect on the roof. An officerclimbs up the building that falls to the

(01:34:04):
ground after Crooks aims his weapon athim. At six' twelve, the
first shots ring out, So Ijust want to go over this again.
Five h six person of interest fivepoint fifty two. Hey, we see
somebody over there with a gun ona roof. I'm a sniper. People

(01:34:26):
notice there's somebody on the roof thatdoesn't look like somebody who should be on
the roof. And cop engages withhim, turns around, leaves cause gun
has pointed at him and he doesn'twant to engage him. And we'll wait

(01:34:47):
and see what happens. We'll seewhat this guy's all about. Are you
blanking kidding me? And this iswhat I feel is going to happen.
The Secret Service is going to say, cheetle that yes, there was a
breakdown. It wasn't our fault. It was the local police who we were
supposed to be working with, whowere supposed to handle that area. We

(01:35:11):
learned of a new potential gap inthe plan, sources telling ABC News the
Secret Service requested that the local policecruiser be stationed at the same building where
the shooter was perched, but locallaw enforcement said they did not have their
resources to provide that cruiser. Itgets worse for them and the fact that
she still has a freaking job.I saw Mike Johnson earlier Spirit Crew,

(01:35:35):
the Oles said she ain't quitting,so Biden needs to fire her. You
know, last night I'm watching MickMalvaney was on NewsNation. I watched the
News Nation coverage because I like them, you know, Dan Abrams, and

(01:35:56):
they had him and Chris Cromo kindof anchoring everything thing last night, and
I enjoyed it. And they havemcmulvaney on their former you know, chief
of staff for Trump, and theywere talking about the fact that, yeah,
Trump is going to have some peoplearound him that are going to ground
him, but he's also gonna havesome ys people and some loyalty, which,

(01:36:16):
by the way, every single jobin America has that, every single
one of them. If you runa company, do you put people around
you who don't like you and don'tshare your vision? Well? No,
okay, But he talked about somethingwe've talked about a long time, really

(01:36:43):
since Trump came down the stairs andwas obviously going to be the nominee.
Trump thrives in chaos, Trump thrivesin battle. Trump likes that he likes

(01:37:05):
to also be the eye of thestorm. And one of the things Mick
Malvany said last night is, youknow him being chief of staff, there's
a lot of fallout. You've hada lot of people. He said,
The big thing is the military.Trump didn't get along with the military because
he doesn't understand that side of thediscipline. And that's always kind of been

(01:37:26):
an issue with me and Trump ishis discipline side of stuff. It is
and I'm not talking about just flyingoff the handle. He just doesn't get
because he's been a business owner thatnever had to answer to anybody. We
forget that. We always talked aboutit. We always want a business owner,
somebody who gets the real world.Know this. Trump never had a

(01:37:47):
board of directors. He never Itwasn't any public there wasn't answering his stock.
It was Trump, Trump Industries. It was Trump. So he said,
the issue you here with most ofthe people are mad at Trump and
can't stand and say stuff. Alot of those people were military people,

(01:38:08):
And yeah, he goes through alot of people, which kind of frustrates
me. But then when I seewhat's happening on the Biden administration where there's
never accountability for anything and nobody evergets fired, that frustrates me as well.
One of the other things Mick Malvaneysaid last night is Trump loves to
have descending voices in the room andpeople bringing him things and then fighting because

(01:38:32):
he likes to find out, Okay, what's your perspective over here for this?
And what's your perspective over here forthat. Not only does he enjoy
the fighting, but he goes youknow, Trump gets a lot of stuff
out of listening to the dissenting sideof things, which is one of the
things. You know, I've alwaysjo you, what would you do if
you're a president. One of thethings I would do, is far as
president, is I would have Democratssomewhere in my cabinet or even somewhere as

(01:39:00):
a person who's a Democrat who isan advisor. Why because I want to
know what's the opposition, what's myblind spot? What am I not seeing
here? Kind of thing. Sothat was very very interesting to hear him
say that, because that has alwayskind of been my thought, is that
guy just lives for chaos, butthere's a method to the madness. It'd

(01:39:23):
be interesting to see what he doestonight, how he comes out tonight and
delivers whatever message of unity he's goingto deliver, because they've changed that message
from pre shooting to after shooting kindof message we're going to we have tonight.

(01:39:45):
If there wasn't Trump, could youimagine that? It's one of the
things that I've thought about, I'msure everybody has, is what if it
had happened, what would be goingon right now? What would be happening
at this moment in time. Roganactually talked about it. He turns his
head at the last second and thebullet grazes his ears. If he didn't,
it hits the back of his headand he's dead, and then we

(01:40:08):
fall into chaos. It's chaos, and then people think that the Biden administration
had Trump killed. And then there'sthese questions like, how the does this
twenty year old kid climb on thatroof one hundred and fifty yards away and
no one sees him. Well, that one guy was pointing at him the
whole time. Yes, he's likepointing two sets. He's like, he's
right there, and they're yelling he'sgot a gun. There's a guy in
the prone position on a roof onehundred and fifty yards away from the former

(01:40:30):
president. The whole thing's nuts. The whole thing is nuts. But would
we have gone into chaos? Idon't know. And here's something else that
isn't really being talked about. Therewas a credible threat enough that they raise
supposedly the protection for Trump because ofIran. Not that I think Iran was

(01:40:56):
behind this kid who's just pissed offat the world and wanted to be somebody.
But here's a question. If Iranwould have been behind something that killed
Donald Trump, what would Biden havedone? What would have been Biden's reaction?
Would he have the balls to say, we're going to do something,

(01:41:20):
We're going to act Because I'll tellyou what, if Donald Trump wins,
which I think he's going to,and something was to happen to Biden because
of Iran, I can guarantee youDonald Trump would react. I can guarantee
you Donald Trump would act upon it. Would Biden do that, I don't

(01:41:45):
know if he would. How wouldwe react as a nation? Would we
want some sort of retaliation and vengeance? Because if you don't do something,
then what's to stop them from doingsomething else? Peace through strength, But
if you don't use that strength, then it doesn't matter. Three two,

gonna find it. He was,you know, hearing voices. I think
what we're gonna find out is somebodywho essentially had very few friends. This
was as good as life was evergoing to get for him. In his
mind. He was a assistant nutritionperson at an old folks home and looking

(01:44:51):
help. I'm trapped in a hashtagfactory and I can't get out the Chad
Benson show. What was demonstrated lasttime, and I think this There have
been a number of moments they've beenlabeling people like this everyday Americans, right,
They've been bringing them into the convention, and there have been a number
of strong moments around this. ButI mean the way that they did this
at the convention last night was honestlyvery It was powerful. It was a

(01:45:15):
powerful move to make it was Conventionsare contrived, and I don't say that
in a bad way. It's importantto convey what you want the public to
see, and the public needs tosee what you want them to see,
right, that's the news and it'simportant. But this was not contrived.
These were real people and it wasraw emotion and it was authentic. And
to see an authentic moment like that, it's something that's scripted as a convention,
I think was it was moving toeveryone, and I think it goes

(01:45:38):
to Joe Biden's very real problem whyhe's never recovered from Afghanistan. Most Americans
agreed with him that if we shouldget out of Afghanistan, but they felt
he did it incompetently and then hetreated these families as if their sacrifice was
acceptable collateral damage. That's a realproblem. That's a real problem. Out
of all the stuff I've seen,Jade Vance's speech last night was a great
speech, and it was real andthe way he you know, talked about

(01:46:00):
his mom and all of that stuffwhere he came from. But the most
powerful was the family members of thethirteen servicemen and women who lost their lives
in the Afghanistan pull out. Andwe've talked about this over and over again.
He never recovered Biden. The pollsshowed it, they crossed that favorability

(01:46:24):
you know, line dropping down, and then from there it's been a drop.
But he never ever, ever recovered. And those family members last night
were so real, so raw,so powerful, and MSNBC cut away from
it, where CNN everybody else stayedwith it as they should have. Absolutely

(01:46:49):
Tonight Trump speaks, he'll accept thenomination. It's going to be very interesting
to see how this goes. Arewe going to get a new, softer,
kinder Trump, more unifying, lessdivisive. I think we're gonna get
some of that. But to thinkthat we're not gonna get Trump would be

(01:47:11):
fooling ourselves. That I do knowfor sure, and then I go and
spoil it all by saying something stupid. It all takes stupid pills this morning.
It's the honest ones you want towatch out full because you can never
predict they're gonna do something incredibly stupid. Now you're the fat, stupid one
with the big mouth. Is stupid, little ass, right, You should

(01:47:34):
never underestimize the predictability of stupidity. Now it's time for stupid information. As
we wrap up our stupid information aboutthings like the convention, little info you
need to know these things don't alwaysgo that smoothly. Nineteen twenty four Democratic

(01:47:56):
Convention in New York City's Madison SquareGarden. Chaos would be an understatement.
We think we see in fighting. There were fist fights, fights with the
new resurgeon of the klu Klux Klanand the supporters in the Democratic Party.
They clashed with opponents, and thatwas before any ballots were even cast back

(01:48:16):
in the way that they did itback in those days? How long did
it take? Well, there werefifteen people running one hundred and three ballots,
and sixteen straight days later they finallyhad a winner. Oh my lord,
And with Trump accepting the nomination night, he's going to give a speech.
Franklin Deladore Roosevelt was the first nomineeto make an acceptance speech in person.

(01:48:42):
Little info you need to No.Three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twentythree at Chad Benson Show. Is your
Twitter right here on the Chad BensonShow. Find out what it's like tonight.
A new Trump, a fighter withheart, same old Trump. Little
comedy. I will expect a littlecomedy, but I will expect tonight maybe

(01:49:04):
we see a little human side ofTrump that we've not seen before. And
I still think the fighters there becausehe doesn't know how to be anything other
than that. But what took placethis weekend may have shaped him in a
way that we don't understand just yet. Because unless you've been through that or
had a near death experience, youdon't know. You guys, have a

(01:49:25):
great and blessed rest of your day. We will do it again tomorrow,
that I do promise you and asalways, my friend hold on a second,
