Speaker 1 (00:10):
Independent Thoughts, Independent Life. This is Chad Benson.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Here's my takeaway from nine to one of the DNC
abortion abortion abush. Don't screw with Nancy Pelosi, Kamala and
the vibes are it.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
The Orange guy is bad and the old guy is gone.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
What was supposed to be a celebration of Biden didn't
have a lot of mention of Biden and it was
disorganized too. Several outlets were like, this is a joke.
You may not like the Republicans, but they were buttoned up.
(01:06):
Joe Biden didn't go on until after what midnight on
the East Coast. I stayed up extra late because I
get I got up at twelve thirty.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
You're welcome, and watched the whole thing.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
But I'm like, I gotta put my daughter to bed
because I thought he was gonna be on earlier. So
we're in there, we're just relaxing and you know, we're
watching some you know, she's watching one of her funly
little shows, and I'm like, tell my wife, just let
me know if he's ever gonna go on. Finally she
went to bed. I stayed up and wow, that wasn't
worth it. No, it wasn't I continue to say this.
(01:38):
I watch a lot of documentaries about the mob. I'm
always fascinating cause you know where that life's gonna take you.
You're either gonna become a politician or give me the mob.
Both kind of the same thing. But it's this weird
thing where mobsters will order hits on other mobsters and
(01:58):
then those guys will be bears the future. I felt
like that's what it was last night, as they're airing
their grievances against Donald Trump, one after one on stage
were people that put a knife in the back of
the guy that is the president, who then is hurly.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
Rushed out of there and off the vacation.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
He goes in California, Kamala's in Chicago and nobody knows
who's running the damn country. Ooho.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
And that don't screw with Pelosi. How real was that?
She don't give too about any of that. She don't care.
It just business, baby, what I have to do.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
He made the decision for the country. My concern was
not about the president, was about his campaign.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
My concern was he couldn't win. He was dragging us down.
I had to make the decision. Unlike the chick who
wants to run the damn country. She didn't make the decision.
I did because I'm the one who's running the show here,
me and Obama and everybody else, and we decided Joe's
got to go, and Joe did.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
And there wasn't any celebration.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
I think that's the thing that you know, I think
everybody thought this was going to be this big celebration,
it was gonna be all. It was none of that.
None of it at all. Wren't any celebration. There wasn't
any of that stuff. It was just kind of this
weird thing of they Every once in a while you
get somebody come out and say thank you, but for
(03:42):
the most part they were doing their own thing.
Speaker 5 (03:44):
You know.
Speaker 6 (03:45):
Well, the word that everybody is using to describe tonight
is bittersweet.
Speaker 7 (03:50):
It's just bitter the fact of the matter.
Speaker 6 (03:52):
I'm not saying Joe Biden is better, but you know,
it's like you've been thrown out a window and as
you're falling, you go, gee, it's nice out here. No,
he got thrown out of window and basically he was forced.
You know, there's gonna be a lot of talk tonight
about how generous it was of him. Too, and selfless
of him. He was basically forced out by Nancy Pelosi
(04:13):
and Barack Obama and Chuck Schumer and jakeem Jeffries, and
I suspect even the fact that there has been a
surge of enthusiasm since he left and Kamala Harris took
his place.
Speaker 7 (04:25):
That's got to be pretty tough too.
Speaker 6 (04:27):
You've got thrown out of a window and everybody's applauding
the person who's now in the room.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
Absolutely, he had a tear coming down his eye. His
daughter introduced him, which I thought was a nice touch.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Mife to my father.
Speaker 8 (04:43):
You're forty sixth president of the United States, Joe Biden,
you love kids lifting me.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
I think people were more excited about Hillary. I do.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Joe was all over the place and bitter and angry.
He came across. There's no doubt I look totally understandable,
probably pissed because he had to wait so long to
get on damn stage. Disorganized, no doubt about that, Nancy Pelosi.
But yeah, I'm moved to Chris Wallace. A little bittersweet,
no bitter. There was a lot of bitter there last night.
I mean, they're angry with a smile doesn't mean you're
(05:28):
not angry.
Speaker 9 (05:29):
The old lions last roar, the whole long roar. Yeah,
but it was a beautiful But listen, I wish it
had been short. I wish it had been earlier. There
were tears. This was a legitimate moment of Catharsis and love.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
To me.
Speaker 9 (05:42):
The most star awful thing he said was I was
too young to go to the Senate and now I'm
too old to be president. But I gave my best
to you. It's a tough game, brutal game. You're up
and then you're down. You're the most important person in
the world, and then they cast me away. That happens
to everybody in politics. It just happened to him in
a The whole world saw it.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
Yeah, I said yesterday, he's this year's Christine blasi Ford.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
You remember her.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
She was coming after Kavanaugh with her bizarre story of like,
I think it was him at a house I can't remember,
with a bunch of people.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
Later remember, and I think.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
He did something to me. And the minute they were
done with her, where is she?
Speaker 3 (06:19):
I don't know exactly. They got rid.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
You're done now, please go away, bye bye. Maybe thanks
you did the things we needed you to do. And
I've said this for years, People like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer's,
Mitch McConnell's of the world. They're buyers, meaning if they
go to DC, they're buying a house because they're never leaving,
(06:45):
and when they do, it's going to be on their terms.
When you're the president, you're renting. This job is in
permanent and boy, he wanted to stay. His lease was up,
and he's that I'd like to get another four years,
and they said, no, we've decided we're going to rent
it to somebody else.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
All right.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
Chad three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty
three at Chad Benson shows your Twitter tweet at us
text the program.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
Abortion is going to be a big deal.
Speaker 7 (07:18):
I think it's striking and this is this is the
Party of Abortion.
Speaker 10 (07:22):
It is their biggest issue, and in their own minds,
I think they think it's their biggest advantage, which is
which tells you a lot.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
There is no doubt about it. Abortion is a big,
big effing deal. They're super excited about it. How excited
talked yesterday? The wheels on the abortion bus go round
and round. But it's finally parked and it's outside of
the arena, and even moderates were like, that feels uncomfortable.
Speaker 11 (07:56):
Outside of the convention. The plan parent it is offering
free abortions best sectimies. Yeah, so that is not If
the DNC didn't say, Okay, we're doing it inside the hall,
they let them right outside the hall, and they're proud
of it. They're talking about it all over town and
it is just jarring.
Speaker 12 (08:14):
You know, this message that we've been hearing that it's
like joyful, right, a joyful, patriotic embrace evening.
Speaker 10 (08:22):
To make sure there's available in certain circumstances.
Speaker 7 (08:25):
But it is regrettable.
Speaker 10 (08:26):
I would think most decent people would say it is
quite another that's celebrated the way it's being celebrated.
Speaker 12 (08:31):
Yeah, it's no longer about it being rare.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
No, no, it's not. And I mean they would love
to do one on stage. I'm sure if you gave
them the opportunity, they'd say, yes, people celebrated.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
Oh yeah, it's it's crazy, but at the same time
it's brilliant. You know what you need.
Speaker 2 (08:59):
You need those single women, mostly white, who are going
to show up, show out and vote on that issue
for VP. Harris, that's what you need, and that's your
best thing. I mean, that's your number one thing. We
(09:21):
could sit here and talk about.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
Greedflation Inabler did it.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
We talk about all of those things, but everybody knows
that's not going to work the way that you wanted to.
People don't trust you on that. And when it comes
to abortion, that is your issue. Immigration ain't your issue.
(09:48):
Your big issue is abortion and we're not Donald Trump.
Abortion and the Orange guy bad.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
That's it.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
I mean, that was a lot of that last night.
So eh, it is what it is. I want to
see what the next few, you know, days bring us.
We've got to get to the acknowledgment because they had
the land acknowledgment. We'll do that here in a little
bit because I just think those things are hilarious.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
We're also going to talk about the lies.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
There is a lot of stuff you can go after
Trump for, okay, and he is I have no idea
what he's doing. He just drives me crazy. But you
continue to push the same bs and lies over and
over again, and people cheer because they've never bothered to
(10:52):
see if those things are true ever, And it just
makes me shake my head low information, no information, and
quite frankly, don't care information. They don't care if what
you said was true or not true. They like you
(11:13):
more than they like him, and that's all that matters.
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty
three at Chad Benson Show, at your Twitter, your Instagram,
all of the other stuff. So much stuff to get
to today. Yes, we're gonna talk a lot about this.
We're also gonna talk about it's canceling of some TV shows,

Speaker 2 (11:57):
The powder, They're gonna love the taste, it's like that
in a little seasoning to it. What it's gonna do
for your dog, Well, that's a totally different story, because
it's gonna help your dog. First of all, the food

You're listening to The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 14 (13:11):
Respond to the fact that Harris has not done a
lot of unscripted events. She has been called on by
many to do more press conferences, to do more interviews.
Speaker 15 (13:18):
What do you say to that, Well, I think people
should watch this week right this is the big launch.
This is the big rollout. This is where she's going
to talk about her policies, her vision.
Speaker 14 (13:25):
It's the same as a press conference or an interview
where she has to answer direct questions.
Speaker 15 (13:30):
Well, I mean, I don't know, because when Trump holds
those pressers and your colleagues in media ask him Trump,
why did God save you? I mean, these are not
serious questions that help the American view.
Speaker 16 (13:38):
You know that he's.
Speaker 14 (13:39):
Asked a wide range of questions and he asks to
answer many.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
So Kevin strout there, he is a surrogate for Kamala.
Didn't have a good day yesterday. Why doesn't she answer questions?
What's the deal?
Speaker 3 (13:57):
Just answer me that?
Speaker 14 (13:58):
Do you think she needs to do more unscripted events
where she has to answer direct questions.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
She is doing a lot.
Speaker 14 (14:05):
Of the same.
Speaker 7 (14:08):
Talking to people.
Speaker 15 (14:08):
She's talking to reporters on her plane and all of
that stuff.
Speaker 7 (14:11):
It's been lively reported.
Speaker 15 (14:12):
But just to fact check, she has not proposed price fixing,
and that's a lie. She's supported legislation against price gouging,
which is very different, and some anti trust things. And
then on the border, actually, daily border crossings are lower
today than they were at the end of the Trump administration.
So both lies coming from my colleague.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
There, Oh my god, Kevin Shroff there, he is a
spokeshole for Kamala price gouging, price fixing, pro choice abortion,
same thing. It's the same thing. And then the lies
about immigration. But it's very interesting the way that he
(14:54):
approached some of this stuff. Because I want you to
listen here. This is him talking about why she hasn't
released some of her.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
Policies, talking about policy.
Speaker 15 (15:07):
In fact, I think Vice President Harris has been incredibly
brave to roll out an ambitious economic agenda, because.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
We all know how this works.
Speaker 15 (15:15):
The more details you share, the more your policies are
going to get picked apart. But she's saying, I trust
the American people, I trust the journalists to explain these
policies and our values to folks, and I think when
that happens, it will be successful for Democrats. These are
very pro worker, pro middle class policies.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
You're a dumbass three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four,
twenty three at Chad Benson's show, to Twitter, your Instagram,
earl of the other things right here on the Chad
Benson Show. That's the reality of it. You just said,
the reason that we don't release any of these policies.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Is because they're going to get picked apart.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
So in partnership with journalists in the establishment media, we're
going to ask them to explain it to the American people,
hoping they do it in a way that favors us,
because we know if it had to stand on its
own legs, it doesn't stand very well. Then he went
on to hammer the media, which I found to be
(16:19):
very interesting. This is a surrogate for Kamala Harris, and
they are asking why doesn't she do any of these things?
Why isn't she out there talking to people? And then
he goes and says this.
Speaker 15 (16:30):
And in terms of what she needs to comment on,
she's been doing a ton of media. The reality is
the media landscape has changed. It's not the Democratic nominee's
job to make sure that legacy media is staying afloat
when the models are changing.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
He's absolutely right, they are changing big time. But here's
the thing. While they're changing in a major way, if
you blow off the establishment media, if you completely dismiss them,
they don't like that, and unlike the TikTokers of the world,
they'll do some other research that you may not want
(17:03):
to hear. And while influencers have influence, the media still
has some massive influence comparatively to the tick dookers.
Speaker 17 (17:14):
Of the world.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
And yes, the media landscape is absolutely changing. It's been
changing for years.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
Adapt or die. Some people can, some people can't. Three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four, twenty three At Chad Benson Show
is your Twitter tweet at us text the program love
hearing from all of you. Got some texts coming up.
Got some stuff about immigration coming up as well, called
the Actual Numbers.
Speaker 3 (17:36):
It's the Chad Benson.
Speaker 7 (17:37):
Show, The Chad.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Benson Show, Independent Thoughts, Independent Life.
Speaker 13 (18:03):
This is Chad Benson.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
Here.
Speaker 18 (18:04):
We are together on our ancestral homelands of the Prairie Band,
Podawaterm Nation and our sister Potawatam nations. We also honor
the spirit of the other tribal nations who traveled westward
through this beautiful area. Welcome twenty twenty four Democratic National
Convention to our homelands. Together in our homelands, let's have
(18:27):
a joyful historic convention.
Speaker 3 (18:30):
Blessings to you all.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
Migwitch regrets to you the Democratic National Convention Land Acknowledgment
the Democratic National Committee wishes to acknowledge that we gather
together to state our values on lands that have been
stewarded through many centuries by the ancestors and descendants of
tribal nations who've been here since time immemorial. If you're
that upset about it, just give it back. It's that simple.
(18:53):
For you're that upset, just give it back. The pandering,
Just give it back. If you're that pissed and upset
and oh my god, I can't give it back, and
then they're gonna have to find out who they took
it from to give it back to them, because it
originally wasn't theirs, and then not to find somebody else
from the other people they can even locate them, or
do they give it back to Now, you're just being ridiculous.
(19:15):
It's just so pandering. If you're that upset about it,
then give it back. If not, shut up there, you
go shut up. But if this is like you're going
to start it out this way where we acknowledged all
of these lands are stolen, well then give it back.
Now they're not stolen, but you won't because the acknowledgment
(19:39):
is your way of saying, hey, we screwed you over.
We're kind of sorry about that, but not sorry, if
you know what I mean. Oh shad last night lots
of Biden's baloney. Biden's baloney, plenty of it. Where should
we start? Maybe the most famous of all is the
very Fine People blowding.
Speaker 19 (20:01):
I ran for president of twenty twenty because of what
I saw in Charlottesville streamers coming out of the woods
carrying torches they're veins bulging from their next carrying Nazi
swastigers and chanting the same exact anti Semitic bile that
was heard in Germany in the early thirties. Neo Nazis,
white supremacists, the krew Kus Klan so emboldened by a
(20:24):
president then in the White House they saw as an ally.
When the president was asked what he thought had happened,
Donald Trump said, my quote, there are very fine people.
Speaker 5 (20:34):
On both sides.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
My god, That's.
Speaker 7 (20:37):
What he said.
Speaker 20 (20:38):
Jud And you had some very bad people in that group,
but you also had people that were very fine people
on both sides. You had people in that group. Excuse me,
excuse me, I saw the same pictures as you did.
You had people in that group that were there to
protest the taking down to them a very very important
(20:59):
statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E.
Speaker 3 (21:02):
Lee to another end.
Speaker 20 (21:03):
She said, well, you know what, it's fine. You're changing history,
you're changing culture. And you had people and I'm not
talking about the neo Nazis and the white nationalists because
they should be condemned totally, but you had many people
in that group other than neo Nazis and white nationalists.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
But wait, lie, lie, lie, because you can take something,
cut a bit out and say, look, he just totally digs.
Oh that's exactly what he said. No, it's not what
he said, it's not That was a lie. But it
(21:47):
doesn't matter. Why let the truth get in the way
of the lie. They get your people excited have about immigration, then.
Speaker 3 (21:54):
I had to take executive action.
Speaker 19 (21:56):
The result of the executive action, I took border encounters
of you're opted over fifty percent. In fact, there are
few are born across in the day that when Donald
Trump left office, And unlike Trump, we will not demonize
immigrants saying they're the poison of blood of America, poison
the blood of our country. Coalmal Art committed to strengthening
legal immigration, including protecting Dreamers and more.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
No illegal immigration, you're going to do what? So are
those numbers true? Well, I talked to my buddy Ali
Bradley from News Nation yesterday. She breaks down the numbers
and guess what, maybe those numbers aren't true.
Speaker 21 (22:32):
The shell game and they are doing something that that
they're very good at doing in government, and that's kind
of moving the goalposts right to show look look at
how much things have plummeted. Well, yeah, when you look
at the metric of three hundred and two thousand in
December alone, things are going to go down a little bit, right.
But one of the things that we're hearing President Biden
say very often is that numbers are lower right now
than they were one President Trump left office, which you
(22:55):
can go on CBP's website. Those numbers are readily available
and accessible for anybody to see that that's not the truth.
And you look at right now, they've had one day
where border patrol encounters at the southern border have been
below fifteen hundred. Otherwise across the border, when you include
northern and coastal sectors, you're always above that metric.
Speaker 6 (23:15):
So let's go into the numbers.
Speaker 21 (23:17):
Say they're getting around seventeen to eighteen hundred people a
day through border patrol. That's what we're seeing roughly, on average,
about seventeen to eighteen hundred people illegally between the ports
of entry with border patrols that base number. Now, what
they're not talking about is the fifteen to seventeen hundred
every day with the CBP one app. They're coming through
the ports through CBPOFOS. So those numbers aren't being reported
(23:39):
by mainstream because mainstream is only talking about illegal entries,
which under this administration that is just between the ports,
which would just be border patrol. So that's kind of
that shell game. Right, You've got roughly sixteen hundred at CBPOFO,
you've got eighteen hundred with border patrol, and then you've
got between four and seven hundred gataways each and every day.
I'm watching that as well, so we're not counting those numbers.
(24:02):
And then we're also not counting the thirty thousand a month,
which breaks down to roughly one thousand a day, right
that are flying in directly into the interior of the
country through the President's CCHNV program. That is a parole
program that allows for thirty thousand people a month to
come in and bypass the border. Basically their process down
(24:22):
in the Northern Triangle, we have these two makeshift facilities
down there where they're kind of doing the processing, picking
them right up and flying them into the country. So
again you're getting well over four thousand people a day
entering our country in one way, shape or form.
Speaker 3 (24:37):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
So those numbers don't really because if you're going to
count one thing, right, I'm just going to count this
right here.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Nothing else matters.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
So it's like what they said, crime's gone down, but
incident reports are through the roof. But you guys know
you only count arrest so and some stuff you don't
even count as crime anymore. So the numbers can be
played with. I don't think there's anybody out there that
thinks this is going really well. So lies lies Trump lies.
(25:10):
Of course he does. My god, it's ridiculous. It is
so ridiculous. I'm not thrilled by the way he's handled
things at all.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
I'm just not.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
This is right in front of you. You should be
able to win this. It's funny. I was watching I
don't know who was watching lies watching like fifty b
I think it was Chris Steiwald last night on News Nation,
he said, look comes down to this. She is winning
right now, accept in the place that matters policy. She's
losing on policy, but she's winning because she's got a
(25:50):
smile on her face and.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
She doesn't seem to be a hateful one.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
And you can see all you want about Trump, but
over the last couple of weeks, months bitterish. I understand
he's upset all the things that happened. I get that
you're trying to win the election and you're coming across
as America sucks. It's going to hell in a hand basket, right,
(26:20):
because that's what everybody does now, and you lash out
and make everything personal, and you make everything ridiculous and
questioning where is she from?
Speaker 3 (26:32):
Is that the new thing?
Speaker 2 (26:34):
I mean, it's just it's the same old and it's
right in front of you winning on policy, but you
make things personal, and as we all know, once you
start to do that, it doesn't go well. Three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four, twenty three at Chad benzichell and
that is.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
Your Twitter, your Instagram and all the other things.
Speaker 2 (26:56):

Speaker 17 (28:52):
Phil Donahue Show began its national run in nineteen seventy
and for the next twenty six years, welcome. The range
of guests and most notable did not shy away from
controversial issues. Donahue's wife, actress Marlo Thomas, once told ABC
the subject matter resonated with women, many of whom were home.
Speaker 23 (29:10):
He was showing them what was going on in the country.
He was debating it on the show in the afternoon,
in between the soap operas.
Speaker 17 (29:16):
Donahue's family says he died at his New York City
home after a long illness.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
That guy Phil Donahue started it all when it comes
to what we now see is Daytime chalkshus before Oprah,
before the Sally Jesse Raphaels, before the Mari Povitch Is
the Heraldos, before all of the there was Donehue and Donniehue.
It was like watching a college professor with a talk show.
(29:43):
I think it'd be huge today.
Speaker 5 (29:45):
You know.
Speaker 3 (29:45):
It kind of had this weird you know, kind of
like he had this white hair.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
Even when I was a kid, he had this like
white hair, these big thick glasses. But it was all
about audience participation as well, not like, you know.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
Are you the baby and everybody's cheering. No, he's people
are asking.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
He was like having a town hall all the time,
and it was just interesting and he and he looked around.
He said, look all they give women who are at
home right now is just mindless junk. Let's all be honest.
We can all use with some mindless junk to watch,
and he said, let's give him something else. And it worked,
(30:23):
It worked big time. And like I said, Oprah, Sally,
Jesse Rah, everybody, all of them owe him a debt
of gratitude for kicking it off.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
And he was just an interesting guy, married to Marlow Thomas.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
For years and years, and just like I said, started
it all off. I remember my family loved Donahue. They
just love Donahue. I was more Mike Douglas guy, but
you know Donahue I got. I was young three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson Show.
(30:58):
Is your Twitter tweet at his text the Prince Graham,
I've hearing from all of you. Mister Mark Hamill, He's
Luke Mark Hamill here.
Speaker 18 (31:05):
Listen, Mark, You've got an important legend coming up in November.
Speaker 7 (31:08):
Yes, you got a.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
Message for everybody out there.
Speaker 5 (31:12):
Well. In the movies, I fought.
Speaker 24 (31:14):
Against make believe evil, or at a time in our
history we were fighting against real evil. So I beg
you please don't go to the Er east Side.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
Two things, I can stay there. First of all, and
I've always thought this. You are a fringe religion that
took on the establishment.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
Hey, that's kind of right.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
You were this weird fringe religion that decided the establishment
needs to go away because they're all bad. So you
fought against that with your Jihati fringe religion. You wanted
to bring down corporate space. It's your goal. Speaking of
(32:03):
Star Wars, so earlier this year, show called The Acolyte
came out. Now, if you don't know what it is,
don't worry, because it's not going to be around long.
It's going to be the most diverse cast of all time.
And it was so gay, and it was all of
the things that everybody's clamming for in Star Wars except
for No, it wasn't.
Speaker 25 (32:23):
I want to ask you both because this is i
would say, arguably the gayest Star Wars by a considerable margin.
And are you excited about that? Are you? It's pretty good?
Let's be honest, Leslie, are you excited about putting this?
You know this is going to be a talking point.
Speaker 7 (32:44):
Is going to be a talking war.
Speaker 3 (32:45):
I'm sure because nerds are gay.
Speaker 25 (32:47):
Yeah, some nerds are very not gay and are very threatened.
Speaker 1 (32:50):
By Well that's true, but in my world, nerds are gay.
Speaker 14 (32:57):
No, I don't think so, and yet people have told
me that it's the gayest Star Wars and I frankly.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
Into it.
Speaker 13 (33:06):
I think that Star Wars is so gay already. Okay,
I mean, have you seen the fits.
Speaker 12 (33:11):
We'd be like, look how gay.
Speaker 26 (33:12):
This is, and then send each other a reference.
Speaker 7 (33:14):
But now are you.
Speaker 14 (33:15):
Telling me with a straight face that C three PO
is straight?
Speaker 5 (33:18):
They're a couple. That's what I think.
Speaker 2 (33:21):
It is awful Lesbian space witches pronouns. Why is it
canceled us because they hate? No, it's because you mess
with people's childhood.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
That's why.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
I have friends who are huge Star Wars fans and
they're gay, and you know what, they don't want you
to mess with their childhood. They like Star Wars the
way they like Star Wars. This was awful. Had nothing
to do with race, It had nothing to do with misogyny,
and have nothing to do with the LGBTQ. It was
just stupid, and you're forcing things in the places that
(34:01):
people don't want. They don't you're messing with people's childhood.
They like Star Wars the way it is. Do you
guys hear Darth is gay?
Speaker 3 (34:17):
You're like, what I mean?
Speaker 2 (34:18):
That's where It is like this ridiculousness of forcing this
BS down. Everybody's drove that you gotta like this or
else you make shows for the people, and you got
to remember that. That's why it didn't work, because the
storyline was so ridiculous, And I just laughed because I'm like,
(34:42):
nobody's gonna like this, and they're all gonna bitch and
whine and moan about it. They should have gotten this,
They should have gotten another chance, They should have got
all this stuff. It is because the people that you
are serving, the fans, don't want people screwing with the
they love, and you decided to do that in such
(35:03):
a way. They wove queerness with space, lesbian witches, pronouns,
they matter, they them z zi zor don't.
Speaker 3 (35:17):
Oh, shouldn't be surprised. People are, though.
Speaker 2 (35:22):
I don't know why so stupid At Chad Benson show's
your Twitter tweet at his text to program three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three. It's your text line, malcile,
leave a voicemail there if you would like. I do
like it when you do that right here. On the
Chad Benson Show coming up and the second hour, a
(35:43):
lot of stuff still to get to. It's not gonna
be all politics, as you guys know, because that would
drive everybody crazy. And while the DNC was whatever it
was last night, we'll have some more on that. We're
also gonna talk about the blind Side lawsuit. Remember the
blind Side, Michael or Well, the lawsuit is going through
and it's getting more and more intentional. We'll talk a
(36:04):
little bit about that. That's what happens when money gets
involved with family, kids. It can go sideways fast. Plus,
we'll have more on the stabbing of Joe Biden last
night as they tossed him out of the arena and
kissed him goodbye, thank you for your fifty years of service.
Speaker 3 (36:18):
You are no longer needed.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
Sad right, kind of Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
This is the Chad Benson Show, Independent thoughts, independent life,
(36:53):
This is Chad Benson.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
If you love something, you'll put blinders on in a
lot of ways and overlook things that are red flags
that you shouldn't overlook. And in politics, it's no different.
In politics, it's no different. Had somebody text me earlier
(37:18):
talking about inflation, you can always text the program three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three reach out to
me at Chad Benson Show, on the Twitter, slash x, Instagram,
everything else.
Speaker 3 (37:29):
But I say this because both the right and the
left do this.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
So this person texts me and says, quit lying about
price gouging and Venezuela something like that. I said, I'm
not lying. You can go Look, there's a thousand economists
that have said this is a stupid, horrible idea. It's ridiculous.
Everybody knows it, and they compared it to Venezuela, Soviet Union,
Cuba thinks of that nature. But because you want some
(38:00):
to win so bad, because the other side is so bad,
you're willing to overlook the bad ideas, the rhetoric, the ridiculousness.
Speaker 3 (38:10):
And it goes for the same on the right.
Speaker 2 (38:12):
You're willing to overlook Trump and all of his flaws
because you want him to win so bad. And I
think at this point in time, the extreme right and
the extreme left are fighting each other to have the
we got you moment, which is sad. It's not a
(38:35):
great place to be in our politics.
Speaker 5 (38:37):
Kids.
Speaker 2 (38:38):
We need to be better than that. And us extreme
majority and I say extreme because we're extreme.
Speaker 3 (38:45):
How are we extreme?
Speaker 2 (38:47):
Eh? Because We're exhausted. We're extremely exhausted. But we also
have the advantage, which is we're about eighty percent of
the population. Lena little right, Len a little left. I
want the best policy that's going to drive the country forward.
(39:10):
That's what I want. You're not always going to get
everything you want. But because people want their side to
win so bad, they're so sold for their side, they're
willing to overlook every bad idea, every crazy thing that
somebody says because.
Speaker 3 (39:32):
I need to beat you.
Speaker 2 (39:34):
Because you've taken it personal. Politics.
Speaker 3 (39:38):
Can't let politics get personal.
Speaker 5 (39:40):
Can't.
Speaker 2 (39:41):
And I'm not talking about Look Nancy Pelosi. There's no
doubt who initiated all the stuff that happened with Biden,
and who was the final blow for Biden the death
dell if you.
Speaker 3 (39:57):
Will, it was Nancy.
Speaker 2 (40:00):
It was just business to her one personal She wants
to win and you weren't going to give us the win.
Speaker 3 (40:07):
I admire her for that. I gotta be honest with you.
I do.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
I sit there last night I was watching her, was like, nah,
you know what she saw the situation. She had to
make a tough decision. In many people's minds, it was
a tough decision. I don't think in her mind it
was a tough decision at all.
Speaker 3 (40:25):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (40:26):
I think her toughest decision was finding out who was
going to be.
Speaker 3 (40:31):
The person.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
That he was going to listen to the most to
get him to step away.
Speaker 3 (40:44):
I think that was a tough decision. She had said Obama,
she ain't. Don't really like Obama.
Speaker 2 (40:49):
It's got to be James Clyburn, right, it's got to
be James. Got to sit down with doctor Jill, not
a licensed medical professional, because it has to happen.
Speaker 3 (41:02):
But we are so sold for our team.
Speaker 2 (41:07):
That we're willing to put blinders on that even bad ideas,
because it's not their team. We'll never give them credit for.
And that's the problem with politics. Ronald Reagan said it
better than anybody could ever say. Imagine what we could
do if nobody cares who got the credit. Unfortunately we
(41:30):
always think it's the politicians that care. In truth to us,
we're the one who care because we're the ones keeping score.
We're the ones keeping score, and so we run around
trying to excuse everybody's bad saying or stupid policy or
(41:53):
whatever because we're keeping score and we want our side
to win. And that's sad is last night Biden was
not a love fair by the way. I thought it
was going to be this all night thing where it
was about how amazing he is, how incredible he is,
he's all of the things, And instead it was a
(42:16):
little bit of that. That's kind of It wasn't anything crazy,
It wasn't this celebration of celebration.
Speaker 3 (42:26):
It wasn't anything like that political swansong.
Speaker 7 (42:29):
This is it.
Speaker 10 (42:29):
And he spent an awful lot of it in almost
angrily defending his record in office and making his claims
about the things he'd achieved and so on. There was
not any evidence that he was aware that a great
many people in his country had lost confidence in him
and had a long time ago.
Speaker 7 (42:50):
But there he goes party relieved, but he's done.
Speaker 3 (42:55):
Oh god. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (42:57):
The takeaways last night, abortion, abortion, abortion, huge kamaline vibes.
Can he get it over the finish line? Anybody but Trump?
(43:17):
Orange Man bad and Nancy Pelosi she means business and
thank god the old guy is gone.
Speaker 3 (43:28):
Oh yeah, you know.
Speaker 6 (43:30):
Well, the word that everybody is using to describe tonight
is bittersweet.
Speaker 7 (43:35):
It's just bitter.
Speaker 6 (43:36):
The fact of the matter I'm not saying Joe Biden
is bitter, but you know, it's like you've been thrown
out a window and as you're falling, you go, gee,
it's nice out here. No, he got thrown out of window,
and basically he was forced You know, there's going to
be a lot of talk tonight about how generous it
was of him too and selfless of him. He was
(43:57):
basically forced out by Nancy Pelosi and Baracoa and Chuck
Schumer and Hakeem Jeffreys, and I suspect even the fact
that there has been this surge of enthusiasm since he
left and Kamala Harris took his place, that's got to
be pretty tough too. You've got thrown out of a
window and everybody's applauding the person who's now.
Speaker 7 (44:16):
In the room.
Speaker 2 (44:18):
Chris Wallace there, and let me tell you something. As
bad as the Pelosi thing was, you know, as far
as him in his mind, and they asked her last night,
she was straight up, you know, business.
Speaker 4 (44:33):
What I have to do?
Speaker 27 (44:34):
Right.
Speaker 4 (44:35):
He made the decision for the country. My concern was
not about the president, was about his campaign.
Speaker 3 (44:44):
Because he couldn't win.
Speaker 2 (44:46):
But I think the thing that really, if you are
Joe Biden, that absolutely has to sting more than anything
is you're being thrown on the you know, the trash
heap of life.
Speaker 3 (45:00):
Life.
Speaker 2 (45:01):
Essentially, thank you for your political contributing over the last
fifty years and for getting rid of Donald Trump. You
have to go now you're of no use to us anymore.
And it was the people because when you look at
the numbers man that's tough, Like Nancy and all of them,
(45:25):
it's not personal, it's business. They all have kind of
a we're in it for ourselves kind of relationship. Said
that for years, and the President and in a lot
of ways, has it. You know, the swamp is all
over the place, and that includes on the Democrat side,
with Democrats against Democrats, the Pelosis and the Chuck Schumers
(45:46):
of the world, the Mitch McConnell's of the world. They're buyers.
I've always said that, what does that mean, Well, they
can buy in DC because they're going to be here forever.
The President, you're a renter and we don't want you
here anymore. That's what they said. But they did it
through poles. The fact is the poles show the people
(46:06):
don't want you. It ain't us, Joe, it's the people.
And that does have to be a real kick in
the grundle. Anybody with man, woman, gay, straight, black, white,
doesn't matter tall, short, fat, thin. If the people don't
want you, that's a tough thing.
Speaker 3 (46:29):
That is a tough, tough, tough thing. And the people said, nah, we.
Speaker 2 (46:34):
Don't want you, We don't We've had enough. Forty eight
minutes he went on. It was long, and they did
everything in their power. This is I mean, we'll talk
abortion a little bit, but it was abortion tacular. They
did everything in their power, though to get him out
of the spotlight, out of prime time viewing, and it just.
Speaker 3 (46:56):
Kept going and going and going.
Speaker 2 (46:58):
And by the time the quote unquote headliner got on,
which was Joe Biden, it was well after midnight. Most
of the people in the East Coast were asleep, and
a lot of other people had kind of given up on.
Nobody really cares, and they've moved on and they're catching
bits and pieces of it.
Speaker 3 (47:17):
That's it.
Speaker 2 (47:20):
And they did discard him quick. I called him the
new Christine Blasi Ford. Who's that exactly? You don't remember her.
She was the guy that was going to take down Kavanaugh.
Because they supposedly he attacked her when they were seventeen
at a party that she couldn't remember, in an area
kind of over here, at a house that she couldn't remember,
(47:41):
with friends that she really didn't know who they were,
and she couldn't evenally remember it was him, And the
minute she served her time and her usefulness was was well,
it'd run out.
Speaker 3 (47:52):
They got rid of her.
Speaker 2 (47:53):
That's kind of what happened last night three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at she had venton show.
Speaker 3 (48:00):
It's your Twitter, your Instagram.
Speaker 2 (48:03):
He's off to California for a vacation, Kamala is in Chicago,
and god only knows who's running the country. All the
while they're trying to get a ceasefire done with Gaza.
How do you think that's going with the Palestinians and
the Jews?
Speaker 3 (48:18):
Not very well?
Speaker 2 (48:19):
Chad, You're correct, oh, Chad being honest Israel. I'm gonna
talk about it in a minute. Found some of their
hostages last night and Humas they're looking over here watching
the chaos, thinking, yeah, we're fine with what's going on now.
(48:40):

ahead Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 13 (49:49):
You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 27 (49:51):
In a very constructive meeting with prime Mistery in it
Yahoo today he confirmed to me that Israel accepts the
bridging proposal that he supports. It's now incumbent on Hamas
to do the same.
Speaker 2 (50:03):
Yeah, you think they will, probably not because they don't
want to all those people out there in the DNC.
And yesterday was mild ish. I still don't know what's
going to happen in the coming a few days, because
I think people are bracing for more.
Speaker 3 (50:22):
There was a few issues.
Speaker 2 (50:24):
You know, they tore down a wall the cops, you know,
and they're testing the cops.
Speaker 3 (50:29):
How far are you guys really willing to go, you protesters?
Speaker 2 (50:32):
Right, But back to the reality of what's going on
over there. Last night into early hours this morning, Israel
de Deraye they found six hostages dead, Five of them
they believed were already dead for months. One of them
they thought had a potential still be alive, and he
(50:52):
is confirmed dead now. And then you look and you
think they're still one hundred and nine and it ain't.
This isn't gonna happen. Israel goes and says, yeah, fine,
we'll give them the deal they want. It's not going
to stop Hamas from being Hamas.
Speaker 27 (51:08):
To bring an agreement for a ceasefire in Gaza and
the release of hostages across the finish line.
Speaker 3 (51:14):
Yeah, good luck with that, Anthony Blincoln, not the producer,
good luck with that. It is.
Speaker 2 (51:24):
They don't want it. Hope everybody understands that they're not
interested in it. They don't want it. All they care
about is pissing off the Jews in Israel. And they
love the fact that they've got useful idiots that are
(51:46):
protesting everywhere, carrying their rainbow flags, talking about how Palestinian
rites are trans rites and laughing their asses off.
Speaker 27 (51:57):
What's most crucial now is that everyone, everyone refrained from
taking any actions that could fuel further conflict, escalate tensions.
Speaker 3 (52:11):
Good luck.
Speaker 2 (52:16):
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three
at Chad Benson's show. Is your Twitter tweet at us
text the program right here on the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 3 (52:30):
And how long do you think this is going to last?
Speaker 2 (52:32):
Out of curiosity, let's just say they all agree today,
how long does this last? Because while Hamas may do
nothing for a while, it doesn't mean that you're not
going to get Iran and their proxies, whether it be
you know, I mean, who knows who it'll be right,
Hesba Lah, any one of their proxies anywhere to do something.
(52:54):
It's on fire man. So I watched a lot last night.
Abortion is a very big deal. It's a very big
deal for the Democrats, and that is understandable. I mean,
that's your number one jam right there. I mean you
roll out with border crossings are down, way down, lower
(53:15):
than when Trump was in office, which is a bunch
of bunks. And by the way, the numbers are kind
of down. We played it last hour. We'll do it
again here a little bit. They're not down the way,
they're down the way they count them. Like anything, it's
how you count them. So if I don't count this,
it's like when they say crime is down, Well, if
you stop arresting people, then yes, crime is down. But
(53:40):
when you don't count this group or that group, and
you're only counting this group over here, then of course
the numbers are down. It's politics, baby, so much stuff
to get to just watching it last night at the
low T Arena. They could use the little see that. That
is what I'm saying. Testosterone. Yes, yes, that's what I'm saying.
(54:05):
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four twenty three.
Love when you reach out to me. You could do
it on all of our social media at Chad Benson Shows,
your Instagram and your.
Speaker 3 (54:14):
Twitter as well.
Speaker 2 (54:16):
This is the Chad Benson Show, the Chad.
Speaker 1 (54:20):
Benson Show, Independent Thoughts, independent life, This is Chad Benson.
Speaker 3 (54:45):
How pissed would you be if you're Biden today?
Speaker 2 (54:47):
You weren't even the good opening act, right, You weren't
even on the main stage.
Speaker 3 (54:53):
In some ways.
Speaker 2 (54:54):
You go to Coachella and they have like the main
stage and the headliners are there, right, it's Beyonce, it's
ac DC, right, it's it's kid Larroy, it's all it's
everybody that's big, and he used to be one of those.
And now you're playing in the side tent, opening up
(55:15):
for some EDM act like two in the morning. It's
not very nice, jod It's true. They don't give a
rat's ass about that, dude. But that's politics, man, it's dirty,
it's nasty. But you were supposed it was about you tonight. Hey,
we're gonna make this about you, but enough about you,
more about us. You know, the the Democrats are united,
they're not. They're united in the fact that they hate
(55:37):
Trump and abortion.
Speaker 3 (55:39):
That's it. Those are the two things. Those are your
two things.
Speaker 2 (55:42):
We hate this guy, but we do with a smile
because that makes us joyful, and our hate is morally
superior to your hate. And abortion vasectomies. Who wants a
vasectomy in a moving van? This feels like somebody's getting kidnapped,
because that's what the party has become the party of abortion.
Speaker 11 (56:06):
Outside of the convention, the plan parent and is offering
free abortions, free best sectimies. Yeah, so that is not
if the DNC didn't say, Okay, we're doing it inside
the hall, they let them right outside the hall, and
they're proud of it. They're talking about it all over town.
And it is just jarring, you.
Speaker 12 (56:25):
Know, this message that we've been hearing that it's like joyful, right,
a joyful, patriotic embrace even to make.
Speaker 10 (56:32):
Sure abortion available in certain circumstances.
Speaker 7 (56:34):
But it is regrettable.
Speaker 10 (56:35):
I would think most decent people would say it is
quite another that's celebrated the way it's being celebrated.
Speaker 12 (56:40):
Yeah, it's no longer about it being rare.
Speaker 2 (56:43):
No, it's not celebrated. If they could do it on stage,
they would, I mean if they could. They're like, you know,
we should really do We should do it on stage. Okay,
maybe not on stage, maybe backstage, but we'll film it
and then we'll put it up on the big screen.
How will that be? That's where we are. Here's the question.
(57:09):
Biden gives a speech. Does anybody even care at all?
I mean, we're joking about it, but does anybody care?
But does anybody even care about any of this?
Speaker 3 (57:17):
Will it be remembered?
Speaker 28 (57:19):
You wonder today what you remember at the end of
the week. And by that, I mean, do you remember
Joe Biden's speech on Monday night? And he's still the
sitting president. This is a remarkable time, Josh, and I
wonder if we come out of here on Friday morning
and it's all about Kamala Harris. I mean, you mentioned
the torch has been passed. Now, how much do Republicans
remember from Milwaukee?
Speaker 2 (57:41):
I'll tell you what I remember from Milwaukee. Okay, I
remember Hulk Hogan tearing his shirt. I don't really remember
anything else because they don't care. None of this stuff
means anything. And by that, I mean it doesn't mean
a damn thing, because what's gonna happen after Labor Day?
(58:03):
So they get through this week? There'll be some bombs,
everybody be excited and then it gets real. So I'm
a big fan of boxing.
Speaker 3 (58:15):
Right, sweet signs the championship rounds.
Speaker 2 (58:23):
So you have the first nine rounds, try to score points,
you try to do certain things. Then you get to
what they call the championship rounds, and that's where we're
headed to. We're in the ninth. Got ready to get
finished with it? Right the guys getting ready to do
this means we've got ten seconds left. That'll be Thursday.
Then everybody's gonna go to their corner. Then Labor Day's
(58:46):
gonna come. Then it's a championship rounds. Tenth, eleventh, and
twelfth those will matter. And from here on out it's
a sales job. How are you going to sell the
people on whatever it is that you're trying to sell
them on? Trinkflation, greedflation, price controls, abortion or economy good?
(59:16):
When I was in charge, Inflation was low when I
was in charge. We controlled the border when I was
in charge, and there wasn't chaos raining the globe with
the pooter and what's going on. That is.
Speaker 3 (59:32):
What you're going to.
Speaker 2 (59:35):
Here over the next several weeks as we head into
what I like to call the championship rounds, the tenth, eleventh,
and twelfth. This is where it's kind of all tied.
Maybe you're up by a round, but I got more
than a puncher's chance. I win these three rounds. I
win it all. I win these three I'm it if
(59:58):
I'm the Democrats. Women's issue abortion, abortion, abortion, talk, inflation.
It's hard, though, because eventually you're gonna have to answer questions. Eventually,
(01:00:18):
somebody is going to hold your feet to the fire
and make you answer questions on how are you going
to pay for things, what are you going to do?
How does this even work? And you're going to have
to answer those questions eventually. And if you're Trump, get
out there and sell it and keep it simple.
Speaker 5 (01:00:40):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:00:40):
I don't know how many times we say that, but
he's never going to That's why, you know. Like I said,
I care about the policy. I align more with the
policy on the right than I do with the left.
Speaker 3 (01:00:55):
And by the way, both of them have bad ideas.
Speaker 2 (01:00:56):
Neither of them have a monopoly on bad ideas, but
I do a line more with the right. I would
like lower taxes, I would like a strong military, I
would like our immigration to be welcoming, but also hard.
Easier to get in here in a legal way, but
harder to get here illegally. I'm for capitalism across the
(01:01:22):
board and free market, and I would like to say
I am for a smaller government, but the reality is
that ship sailed a long time ago. With the Republicans,
they're as big spenders as the people on the left.
Speaking of that last night, that lady came out with
(01:01:44):
the Project twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (01:01:47):
He's got to be a jec trator. It's going off.
Speaker 2 (01:01:52):
On the Project twenty twenty five and starts just going
through the things, including.
Speaker 3 (01:02:00):
Being able to get rid of civil servants.
Speaker 2 (01:02:04):
Yeah, for a lot of America, they look around and go, yeah,
you know, we got too many of those people. I'm
okay if some of them go, I don't think that's
really going to be a big deal. I think we're
okay with that. Can you guys honestly tell me that
(01:02:25):
government works smoothly and that it's not bloated overdone. How
many agencies do we have that overlap with other agencies
that do a vast majority of what this agency does,
the more technologically advanced we get rather than start to
(01:02:47):
thin the herd. Doesn't mean, by the way, you had
fire a bunch of people. I know, that's what everybody's Oh,
that's why again they take this project twenty tweve it's
a great boogeyman, like it's some sort of spellbook. But
you got a lot of people retiring. Let him retire,
don't rehire. Start holding people accountable for what they're spending
(01:03:11):
and spending in the right way.
Speaker 3 (01:03:12):
Who doesn't want that.
Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
I've yet to meet a Democrat or Republican that says, oh,
I'd like wasteful spending. I like the fact that this
doesn't work over here, so we should spend more money
on that.
Speaker 3 (01:03:25):
I like that.
Speaker 2 (01:03:27):
Both sides of the I'll agree with that, unless you're
weird and you're like, nope, I love spending money that
is a waste because that just seems awesome. Three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show to Twitter,
speaking of money, do.
Speaker 3 (01:03:44):
You think the two weies were blindsided by this?
Speaker 29 (01:03:46):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (01:03:47):
Oh, Jed, I did. I did.
Speaker 2 (01:03:49):
We're going to talk about the blind side lawsuit between
Michael Orr and his supposed adopted family. Of course, that
became a movie guys, remember that.
Speaker 3 (01:03:58):
Talk about that.
Speaker 2 (01:03:59):
A lot of other stuff three five, three eight, twenty
four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show, So Twitter,
your Instagram, all the other thinges Roughgreens, Ruffgreens dot Com,
slash Chat. It's got vitamins, minerals, probiotics, and make a
three sixty nine.
Speaker 3 (01:04:11):
All of this.
Speaker 2 (01:04:11):
Incredible stuff that I give to my dogs. They love
it sprinkle on the top of their food. Like if
you were to go and get a powder supplement for
like a GENC or something like this, and you're like, ah,
take this home, you put this on your you make
a shaker Smoothie's the same kind of thing. It's got
all this great stuff, and the beauty of it is
you don't have to do anything. You don't have to
get new food, you don't have to do any of that stuff.
(01:04:32):
This stuff's gonna help your dogs with their aches and
their pains and their joints, especially if their sore. It's
gonna help with their digestive track, their skin, their furst.
It's gonna give you more energy. It is awesome. They're
gonna give you a Jumpstart trial bag for free. All
they ask you to do is cover the costs of shipping.
It's a few bucks. You can do this by calling
eight eight eight ninety my Dog. That's eight eight eight
ninety my dog. Or go to Roughgreens dot com slash chat.
(01:04:52):
That's are you ff greens dot com slash chat The
Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 13 (01:05:08):
I like, yeah, so what, it's the Chat Benson Show.
Speaker 3 (01:05:14):
Now, we fight in our time.
Speaker 30 (01:05:19):
To defend our freedom and our democracy against the Banana.
Republicans converted Lincoln's party into a dangerous culture of personality.
Speaker 2 (01:05:34):
That's Jamie Raskin. He's just awful as a person. Yes,
hatred of Trump, Like, what are you when you don't
have Trump anymore? You have you thought about that? Has
anybody thought about that?
Speaker 3 (01:05:52):
The media?
Speaker 2 (01:05:54):
Any of that stuff? And people say, do you think
about it all the time? I don't care. I don't
whether he's here or not. I care about policy. We'll
talk about those things. Not that I dislike Trump. I
don't love Trump. I don't have any feelings toward any
of it. I'm a policy guy. That's what I've been,
(01:06:16):
That's what I'm always going to be. And it's these
people live off Trump. If there is no Trump, what
will they do.
Speaker 3 (01:06:30):
That is interesting. What would they do? I have no idea.
Speaker 2 (01:06:33):
Now I'm gonna get that. You know, like Trump because
you're evil and bad. No, it's just because I don't
like any politician. I don't hate any politician. I find
most of them ridiculous. Some of them try their hardest,
and that's it. Don't give politicians that much time in
your life, guys, That's all I'm telling you. But as
(01:06:54):
much as people have profited off Trump on the good
side where they want to be in his sphere of influence,
there's a lot of people out there that have profited
and raised their the awareness of who they are to
the country off of Trump. People like Jamie Raskin. Also,
when he was given his speech last night, the teleprompter
stuck and he just stood there, quick.
Speaker 3 (01:07:17):
On his feet.
Speaker 2 (01:07:17):
He is, That's what I'm telling you. Do you remember
the movie The Blindside, Sad Tale. Now, after all the
stuff that looked like a great tale, here's this kid
taken in by a family, this big black kid taken
in by this family. The two he's no but got
it's a great tale. And he goes on to college
in the NFL. Well, it became a movie. As we
(01:07:38):
all know and from there money and well.
Speaker 31 (01:07:42):
Michael Orr's story was tailor made for Hollywood, the tale
of a wealthy Southern family taking in a homeless team
then helping to launch him into the NFL. It sparked
a best selling book in Land at Sandra Bullock and Oscar,
a tear jerker with a happy Hollywood ending, but in
real life, the story was far more complicated. Super Bowl
champ Michael Orr speaking out for the first time since
(01:08:04):
filing a lawsuit against the Memphis, Tennessee family who took
him in as a teen. Their heartwarming story depicted in
the two thousand and nine Oscar nominated hit The blind Side.
Speaker 13 (01:08:15):
We want to know if you would like to become
part of this family.
Speaker 26 (01:08:22):
I already was speaking with The New York Times about
the complex ongoing court case in which he alleges that
Leanne and Sean Towhey took advantage of him, depriving him
of millions.
Speaker 2 (01:08:35):
It's about money, about the way he was depicted. And remember,
Hollywood's going to take stuff and run with it, as
we all know. So in fact, if they were to
do the movie today, the family would be black and
Michael would be a trans girl. That's the number one
overall pick in the NFL.
Speaker 26 (01:08:56):
Homeless at the age of eighteen or says he thought
he was adoption papers with the family, only to later
learn he consented to a conservative ship, allowing the two
weees to take control of his finances for nearly twenty years,
telling the New York Times, the first time I heard
I Love You, it was Sean and Leanne, saying it
when that happens at eighteen, you become vulnerable, you let
(01:09:18):
your guard down, and then you get everything stripped from you.
It turns into a hurt feeling. Before the movie was
even released, the now thirty eight year old saying the
portrayal of him as quote stupid in the book first
detailing his life cost him a higher draft position. While
signing on with the Baltimore Ravens in two thousand and nine.
Speaker 2 (01:09:37):
The Baltimore Ravens selector Michael.
Speaker 26 (01:09:39):
Lare saying the NFL people were wondering if I could
read a playbook.
Speaker 5 (01:09:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:09:47):
So the way that people talk about the NFL, they
do all their research and here's what they want. And
I think last year Dion Sanders said it best on
his offensive line. He wants brilliant smart, etc. On his defense,
(01:10:07):
he wants people that are hungry and that essentially want
to make sure that mama's taking care of for the
rest of her life. Sounds weird, right, it is. They
do a wonder lick test. That's important even in the
line world where the guys are big and you think
they're idiots and stuff, and they see he said, the
way that they purported him is like he couldn't even
(01:10:27):
read and he was stupid and all that. By the way,
he's anything but stupid. I think everybody recognized that. And
you know, side note here, dude, you went to like
the best team.
Speaker 3 (01:10:41):
You could go to.
Speaker 2 (01:10:43):
Okay, you went in the first round in this twenty
third pick and you went to the Ravens and they're
like arguably the best run club in football.
Speaker 3 (01:10:55):
So it wasn't the worst situation.
Speaker 26 (01:10:57):
Hey, I'm first sat down with the two wy's and
met my During the height of the film's Oscar Bass,
he was clearly uncomfortable talking about the hit film and
his portrayal in it. Was it annoying that the movie
portrayed it as if you had to learn to play football?
Speaker 7 (01:11:11):
Yeah, they're part right there.
Speaker 1 (01:11:14):
It really got me because no it wasn't anything.
Speaker 3 (01:11:17):
It wasn't never liked that.
Speaker 26 (01:11:18):
Or now, saying after seeing the movie, it felt like
it was a comedy about someone else, and on social
media saying I started seeing stuff that I'm dumb, I'm stupid.
Every article about me mentioned The blind Side like it
was part of my name. The Tuy's parents to two
children vehemently deny any wrongdoing after the conservatorship ended last September,
(01:11:40):
saying each family member received equal parts of the film's profits,
including Orr, who they say was given over one hundred
and thirty eight thousand dollars over ten payments.
Speaker 3 (01:11:49):
He thinks he's deserved more. It's going to go to court.
Speaker 2 (01:11:52):
By the way, they came out and said we love Michael,
it's part of our family, and Michael says, I love them.
It's just business and it's Hollywood. So remember, Hollywood will
get a hold of something and the next thing you know,
as we all know, they take it and do wacky stuff.
With three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to
twenty three at Chad Benson Show's your Twitter tweet at
(01:12:14):
his text the program love hearing from all of you
right here on The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 3 (01:12:20):
Coming up in the next hour.
Speaker 32 (01:12:22):
He soaked in the adulation of this crowd, the gratitude
of his crowd, not just for a career in public service,
but for that decision. It was largely forced on him
at the end to bow out of the race and
hand it over to Kamala Harris.
Speaker 2 (01:12:36):
The decision that was not a decision. We'll talk a
little bit about that. I said yesterday. It reminded me
of watching those documentaries about the Mafia where the mafia
has you killed, and then they're the pallbearers at your
funeral with all of the people coming on stage.
Speaker 3 (01:12:50):
Talk about that.
Speaker 2 (01:12:51):
A lot of other stuff to get to, including a
little what's trending. You can reach out to us across
all of our social media at Chad Benson Show, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook.
Speaker 3 (01:12:59):
It's the Chat Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (01:13:03):
This is the Chad Benson Show, Independent Thoughts, Independent Life.
(01:13:33):
This is Chad Benson and.
Speaker 16 (01:13:35):
I want to kick us off by celebrating our incredible
President Joe Biden, who will be speaking later tonight. Joe,
thank you for your historic leadership, for your lifetime of
service to our nation, and for all you will continue
to do.
Speaker 26 (01:13:55):
We are forever grateful.
Speaker 2 (01:13:57):
To you Vice President Harris last night, speaking on Night One, Briefly,
she's like a comedian standing up there with a microphone.
She's like, so abortion, that's like a crazy thing.
Speaker 3 (01:14:12):
Where are you guys from? Are you guys together?
Speaker 2 (01:14:18):
When she met later on tonight, she meant like after midnight,
because the celebration of Joe didn't get much better than that.
You know, he's not very angry. Oh he's fuming inside
in his lucid moments when he realizes, Oh my god,
what do you mean I'm not president anymore? Well, you
(01:14:39):
still are, but you're not running it. What do you
mean I'm not running again?
Speaker 3 (01:14:42):
He's got to be pissed. I'd be absolutely pissed.
Speaker 2 (01:14:46):
You were relegated to the opening act for the opening act,
for the opening act. You're day one at Coachella at
ten thirty in the morning on the side tent, opening
up for an edy banned that nobody's ever heard of,
the very nice chat.
Speaker 3 (01:15:04):
It's honesty, but he loves his country.
Speaker 7 (01:15:07):
I spent the.
Speaker 5 (01:15:07):
Honor of my lifetime.
Speaker 3 (01:15:10):
The servers are president.
Speaker 5 (01:15:12):
I love the job, but I love my country more.
Speaker 2 (01:15:21):
It was like watching one of those mob things. I
watched this documentary where the mobile order a hit and
then they're like totally sad and they send flowers to
the family and then they have pallbearers at the funeral
for the guy that it's just that guild. It was
kind of like what it was like last night. It
(01:15:42):
was like sad.
Speaker 3 (01:15:45):
For him.
Speaker 2 (01:15:46):
But man, they've got it. They're breathing a sigh of relief.
Few things I picked up last night. Okay, here we go,
straight abortion, huge abortion, abortion, abortion, Kamala is in. They're
moving forward. It's about vibes, not policy. That's a big
(01:16:09):
deal right there. Number three, thank god, we're done with
the old guy. Thank goodness for that. Let's put that
behind us now. Number four Orange man bad. And number five,
don't f with Nancy Pelosi because she will finish you.
Speaker 3 (01:16:31):
I've always said Nancy Pelosi and Hillary they make hell
of a CEOs of the world. They will finish you.
They had no problems with that, Oh get you. But
it was much of a lot of you know what,
We played this a couple times. I don't played again.
Speaker 2 (01:16:48):
This is Chris Wallace talking about what.
Speaker 3 (01:16:53):
Last night should have been and really kind of what
it was.
Speaker 6 (01:16:57):
You know, well, the word that everybody is using to
describe tonight is bitter sweet.
Speaker 7 (01:17:02):
It's just bitter. The fact of the matter.
Speaker 6 (01:17:05):
I'm not saying Joe Biden is bitter, but you know,
it's like you've been thrown out a window and as
you're falling, you go, gee, it's nice out here. No,
he got thrown out of window, and basically he was
forced You know, there's gonna be a lot of talk
tonight about how generous it was of him.
Speaker 7 (01:17:22):
And selfless of him.
Speaker 6 (01:17:23):
He was basically forced out by Nancy Pelosi and Barack
Obama and Chuck Schumer and jakeem Jeffries, and I suspect
even the fact that there has been this surge of
enthusiasm since he left and Kamala Harris took his place.
That's got to be pretty tough too. You've got thrown
out of a window and everybody's applauding the person who's
now in the room.
Speaker 3 (01:17:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:17:45):
I mean, that may be the thing that really stings
the most is you and your mind had numbers and
said you guys were close, which it was. I mean,
Trump was going to win, but it wasn't like he
was going to win forty eight states or something, so
(01:18:08):
Trump was gonna win. But while in front of the cameras,
a vast majority of people were sticking with you when
they spoke to you. Maybe some of them were, but
when you saw the other numbers that the American people
wanted you gone the most, that they had had enough
(01:18:31):
of you, that right, there had to be a huge
kick in the grundle.
Speaker 3 (01:18:36):
It's like, you don't want me anymore. No, you've served
your purpose.
Speaker 2 (01:18:42):
And I think, if we're honest, a vast majority of
Americans believed he was going to serve one term. Turn
it over to the party, Let them go through the entire.
Speaker 3 (01:18:54):
Giant, huge.
Speaker 2 (01:18:57):
Election season that we have, through primaries and all of
that stuff, and then somebody would have emerged. And I
can guarantee you it wouldn't have been Vice President Harris.
Speaker 3 (01:19:10):
They had no choice. I think if it was wide open, I.
Speaker 2 (01:19:13):
Mean, she would have got a bump to start, But
she got a bump to start last time.
Speaker 3 (01:19:17):
She didn't even make it to Iowa. She didn't. So
this is what you've got.
Speaker 2 (01:19:29):
And I say it over and over again, the best
thing going for you is an abortion.
Speaker 3 (01:19:35):
It's not.
Speaker 2 (01:19:38):
It's not the strong stock market. No, No, it's not
the fact that inflation is cooling. The best thing the
Democrats have going for them is Donald Trump, because he
listed such an emotion from people. They're butts, pucker say,
freak out, and they're willing to do anything to make
(01:20:00):
sure that he's not president of the United States. If
this was Nicky Haley versus common we wouldn't be having
this conversation. You can vibe it all you want now,
it wouldn't be happening. I could look over at half
a dozen Republicans that could have easily been at the
top of the ticket and would be running rough shot
(01:20:26):
over the Democrats. They would have said, yeah, it is
what it is. We'll let Kamala run a race and
we'll be done. We may have even let Joe stay
in at that point, but this is where we are.
The best thing they have going for is the fact
that Donald Trump will get them more votes. I've said this,
Donald Trump has got more votes in the history of
(01:20:48):
our country than anybody else. He's got votes for Democrats
that they wouldn't get, and he's got votes for himself.
And if you think it's over because there are a
lot of people out there to think that this is
over all righty man. The vibes, Man vibes are taking
us there. You're fooling yourself. It is not over. There
is a long way to go. I said it last
(01:21:10):
last hour, and I'll give you this again. I like boxing.
In boxing, you have twelve rounds for a championship fight.
The first nine rounds feeling out processed, you're trying to
win some points, you're doing these things, but then you
realize it's close. You get to round ten, eleven, twelve.
They call those the championship rounds. This is it, It's
(01:21:30):
go time. That is what is going to happen. After
labor Day, it gets real at that point in time,
and at some point in time, you're figuring she's going
to have to sit down and actually talk to somebody else.
People are calling her out more and more. The media
is not happy. But she speaks to people on the plane.
(01:21:52):
She speaks off the record to people on the plane,
so that stuff's not getting out, and it's that's not
speaking to a reporter actually answering questions about her ideas
or any of that stuff. That's none of that. This
is one of her surrogates talking about you know, why
(01:22:13):
didn't she ask questions. People are asking her a question,
Why do you answer anything?
Speaker 14 (01:22:16):
Respond to the fact that Harris has not done a
lot of unscripted events. She has been called on by
many to do more press conferences, to do more interviews.
Speaker 15 (01:22:23):
What do you say to that, Well, I think people
should watch this week, right, this is the big launch,
this is the big rollout. This is where she's going
to talk about her policies, her.
Speaker 14 (01:22:30):
Vision, and it's not the same as a press conference
or an interview where she has to answer direct questions.
Speaker 15 (01:22:36):
Well, I mean, I don't know, because when Trump holds
those pressers and your colleagues in media ask.
Speaker 3 (01:22:40):
Him Trump, why did God save you?
Speaker 15 (01:22:41):
I mean, these are not serious questions that help the
American viewer.
Speaker 14 (01:22:44):
You know that he's asked a wide range of questions
and he asks to answer many.
Speaker 2 (01:22:48):
So the fact that you would even say that is ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (01:22:57):
Oh, he's not asked any real questions.
Speaker 2 (01:23:00):
They hammer him every chance they can get, they hammer,
and he's willing to go in to the lions dend
over and over again. So, by the way, she doesn't
even get the softball answers. She doesn't get any of that. Continue, sir, just.
Speaker 14 (01:23:26):
Answer me that, do you think she needs to do
more unscripted events where she has to answer direct questions.
Speaker 15 (01:23:32):
She is doing a lot of a lot of speeches,
the same talking to people. She's talking to reporters on
her plane and all of that stuff.
Speaker 7 (01:23:39):
It's been widely reported.
Speaker 15 (01:23:40):
But just to fact check, she has not proposed price fixing,
and that's a lie. She's supported legislation against price gouging,
which is very different, and some anti trust things.
Speaker 7 (01:23:52):
And then on the.
Speaker 15 (01:23:52):
Border, actually daily border crossings are lower today than they
were at the end of the Trump administration. So both
lies coming from my colleague there.
Speaker 7 (01:24:02):
And in terms of what she needs to.
Speaker 15 (01:24:03):
Comment on, she's been doing a ton of media. The
reality is the media landscape has changed. It's not the
Democratic nominee's job to make sure that legacy media is
staying afloat when the models are changing. And I think
that's a very unfair lens to place on this election.
I mean, Donald Trump is not really campaigning in full,
so you know, she's introducing herself to the American people
(01:24:24):
holding these rallies. She's had a record short amount of
time to get this campaign off the ground.
Speaker 3 (01:24:29):
Oh guys, a clown by the way spin it.
Speaker 2 (01:24:33):
However, you want price gouging, price fixing, your four abortions
or your pro choice means the same thing. And those
numbers we explained it to you. Maybe we'll break it
down again because there was some Biden lies last night.
(01:24:54):
That is the usual greatest hits of what Biden tends
to do. Talk a bit about that. So much stuff
still to get to. You got a little what's trending

You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 3 (01:26:31):
Now it's time to find out what's trending.
Speaker 2 (01:26:34):
What's trending James Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Serena.
Speaker 7 (01:26:55):
What trping.
Speaker 2 (01:26:59):
Let's out what's trending on the interwebs. Give you a hint,
lot of DNZ stuff, a lot of that that happened
last night.
Speaker 3 (01:27:09):
You're welcome stayed up to watch it.
Speaker 2 (01:27:11):
Oh my god, it went on forever end. Ever, it
may still be going on. Joe Biden, I won't try
anything on Twitter. Good Tuesday, DNZ Chicago Star Wars I
played earlier. The Acolyte has been canceled, but it's.
Speaker 3 (01:27:28):
The most inclusive Jay as Star Wars of all.
Speaker 2 (01:27:32):
Yeah, apparently the force wasn't with them. Oh yeah, that's
not very nice, Hillary, Steve Kerr.
Speaker 3 (01:27:40):
God he's bloviating, isn't he?
Speaker 2 (01:27:42):
Just Ugh Snopes because once again last night Biden came
with the greatest lies about Trump. Trust me, there's enough
to go after Trump. There is absolutely enough. And you
continue to push the same lies over and over again,
and then everybody looks and goes Charlottesville trending as well.
(01:28:05):
Jamie Raskin called them banana Republicans, see the way instead
of a banana republic.
Speaker 3 (01:28:09):
See what he did there?
Speaker 2 (01:28:10):
God, he's awful, Hulk Colgan the RNC head over to Yahoo,
Steve Kerr, Taylor Swift, Kamala all trending, Ashley Biden trending
as well. That is Joe Biden's daughter and finally of
the magical world, Oh Google, Phil Donahue number one trending
thing yesterday. Then lots of DNC, Hillary Ashley Biden, Jasmine Crockett,
(01:28:37):
the acolyte again.
Speaker 3 (01:28:38):
We just talked about the AOC.
Speaker 2 (01:28:39):
Jesse Jackson all trending, Ralph Warnock trending as well. Mallory McMorrow,
she was the lady who came out gave the impassioned
speech about Project twenty twenty five three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four twenty three at Chad Benton's show,
(01:29:01):
as your Twitter and your Instagram, all of the other
things right here.
Speaker 3 (01:29:04):
On the Chad Benton Show. They got all kinds of
boogeymen over there, don't they.
Speaker 2 (01:29:13):
It's kind of interesting, But Chad, it was the joyous time,
a lot of anger for joy. Maybe I don't know
what joy is. Speaking of Phil Donnie, he remember one
trendy thing yesterday on Google.
Speaker 17 (01:29:30):
The Phil Donahue Show began its national run in nineteen seventy,
and for the next twenty six years, welcomed the range
of guests and most notably, did not shy away from
controversial issues. Donahue's wife, actress Marlo Thomas, once told ABC
the subject matter resonated with women, many of whom were home.
Speaker 23 (01:29:48):
He was showing them what was going on in the country.
He was debating it on the show in the afternoon,
in between the soap operas.
Speaker 17 (01:29:54):
Donahue's family says he died at his New York City
home after a long illness.
Speaker 2 (01:29:58):
He was I was the leader, the first person that
really came on and became I mean, he preceeded Oprah
all of the other shows that you see.
Speaker 3 (01:30:11):
That's who Phil Donahue was.
Speaker 2 (01:30:13):
I mean, it was this kind of goofy looking dude,
big glasses, right, white hair, from when I can remember
as a child. But he set the pace and from
there came Oprah and Heraldo, Sally, Jesse, Raphael and all
of these things, and it was I mean, it was interesting.
It was the whole thing was very interesting as a
kid growing up. My family loved him. And it was
(01:30:34):
a much different show than you know, just a variety show,
wasn't that.
Speaker 3 (01:30:38):
I mean, he did politics, he did.
Speaker 2 (01:30:39):
Pop culture, He did all kinds of stuff that others
just didn't do at the time during the day. No,
they just didn't. And he was kind of a one
of a kind. You're missing the show. Grab the podcast.
It is the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (01:30:59):
Chad Benson Show, Independent Thoughts, Independent life.
Speaker 13 (01:31:24):
This is Chad Benson.
Speaker 29 (01:31:26):
Part of this does speak to Democrats big lineup. I mean,
the reality is they do have every single sitting senator
that wants to be a part of this. They're trying
to squeeze in. They have cabinet secretaries, past presidents, past
first ladies. I mean, this is a party that wants
to stick behind Vice President Harris. That is a huge
start contrast or what we saw at the Republican National Convention.
(01:31:46):
Of course, President Trump's own vice president for cabinet secretary's
former chiefs of staff not wanting to be a part
of that convention.
Speaker 2 (01:31:54):
Because they hate him. It was I saw several people
last night, Jake Tapper, several others from everywhere from CNN
to even MSNBC, Fox and everybody else say this has
not been run well at all, And.
Speaker 3 (01:32:17):
It wasn't, you guys know.
Speaker 2 (01:32:19):
I mean, I watch Breaking Points a lot as much
I can, and that is Crystal and Sager. They are
one is liberal. Crystal lover's great. Sager conservative love them
is great. They are great, and they're there and I
was like, wow, their set looks weird, and it's because
(01:32:40):
they're on barstool sports set. Because their set got messed up.
It's just not been good. They've said since the moment
they got there. The DNC has not run this thing.
What was the excuse last night? Here's one of the
excuses of why it ran so late.
Speaker 6 (01:32:54):
By the way, I actually report that condition officials are
saying that the reason went long is because of all
the rackets applause at.
Speaker 7 (01:33:01):
That's sort of the thing you build into.
Speaker 9 (01:33:04):
We expected we have had conventions before, like you sort
of know what.
Speaker 3 (01:33:08):
That's amazing spin, Yeah, amazing, spin.
Speaker 2 (01:33:13):
Amazing speaking of spin, So it was the greatest hits
last night of.
Speaker 3 (01:33:19):
Joe Biden could have finished the sentences.
Speaker 17 (01:33:25):
You know.
Speaker 2 (01:33:25):
Immigration, We did the immigration thing and it's better than
it's ever been, even lower than when Trump left office,
which isn't true because the way that they're counting it.
Speaker 3 (01:33:35):
Is way different.
Speaker 2 (01:33:38):
They're counting you going to the port of entry, they're
not counting in between, they're not counting the people being
flown in here, they're not counting the god aways. So
you start adding that up and you're like, wait a minute,
you're still four thousand a day. Yes, but the ones
we're counting were lower. So that's the usual BS Here's
(01:34:00):
one of my favorite ones, though, which I get text
at least three or four times a week from people
who ate Donald Trump, and they'll say.
Speaker 3 (01:34:12):
The very fine.
Speaker 2 (01:34:12):
People because remember, that's why Joe Biden ran. Let's not
forget that, that's why he ran.
Speaker 19 (01:34:20):
I ran for president of twenty twenty because of what
I saw on Charlottesville extreamers coming out of the woods
carrying torches. They're vains bulging from their next carrying Nazi
swastikers and chanting the same exact anti Semitic bile that
was heard in Germany in the early thirties. Neo Nazis,
white supremacists, the Krukus Klan so emboldened by a president then.
Speaker 3 (01:34:45):
In the White House they saw as an ally.
Speaker 19 (01:34:48):
When the president was asked what he thought had happened,
Donald Trump said, I quote, there are very fine people
on both sides. My god, that's what he said.
Speaker 20 (01:34:58):
You had some very big I believe that group, but
you also had people that were very fine people on
both sides. You had people in that group. Excuse me,
excuse me, I saw the same pictures as you did.
You had people in that group that were there to
protest that taking down to them a very very important
(01:35:19):
statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E.
Speaker 3 (01:35:22):
Lee to another end.
Speaker 20 (01:35:23):
She's like, well, you know what, it's fine. You're changing history,
you're changing culture. And you had people and I'm not
talking about the neo Nazis and the white nationalists because
they should be condemned totally, but you had many people
in that group other than neo Nazis and white nationalists.
Speaker 3 (01:35:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:35:43):
Well that's different than what they're saying.
Speaker 3 (01:35:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:35:46):
And when he said find people on both sides, he
was talking about the right and the left. Some people
were there to you know, he goes on it's like
four minutes long of him talking about how bad the
neo Nazis are, how he condemns him, and he does
it on several occasions, and he had to do three
or four of those press conferences because no matter how
many times he said, they would take one thing and
run with it, and so he condemned them.
Speaker 3 (01:36:10):
But he said, look, these other people ever had permits.
Speaker 2 (01:36:13):
They were upset about the fact that they were taking
down a statue because that's when we were in the
big let's take down statues because that'll make black people
feel good. So that it didn't work, by the way,
So and then he said, you know, these people were
upset with that. You guys like George Washington, Yeah, yeah,
you like Thomas Jefferson. One guy goes one of the reporters,
(01:36:34):
I love Thomas Jefferson. He was a slave owner. Should
we take his statues down? And they didn't know what
to do. He wasn't saying that it was fine. People
on both sides like, oh yeah, there's some good. He
was saying, these people over here came to protest these
ass hats, and these ass hats came here to cause
trouble and fight. Those people should be condemned. But it's
(01:36:55):
the usual Bologne. And by the way, you ran for
president of the United States based on that. Those neo
Nazis coming out of the forest were blah blah blah.
Speaker 3 (01:37:06):
Outside of.
Speaker 2 (01:37:10):
The perimeter, if you will, of the DNC in Chicago yesterday,
kind of quiet.
Speaker 3 (01:37:16):
There was a few little issues inside.
Speaker 33 (01:37:19):
There was a police presence here, a large police presence,
but they kept a pretty light disposition. There was some
riot gear just in the form of helmets. I did
see some things get thrown at the police officer. They
could hit by sticks and signs and think things of
that nature. But they forced people back out through. In fact,
I'm standing in one of the holes in the fencing
right now.
Speaker 5 (01:37:38):
They forced people back out through the fencing.
Speaker 33 (01:37:40):
They put that pieces of those pieces of fencing back
in place.
Speaker 5 (01:37:44):
The only one that remains opens is one I'm standing
in right now.
Speaker 2 (01:37:47):
That is a Fox reporter standing there. And you had
people sitting on top of the fence, and the cops
basically said, yeah, we're not taking this because they're testing
and I expected to grow throughout the week. Now why
does this matter, Well, those people, a vast majority of them,
if they do vote, aren't voting for Donald Trump. You
know who they are voting for, whoever the Democrat is, unless,
(01:38:10):
of course they're going to a weird Green Party Jill
Stein or something like that. That being said, those neo
Nazis that came out of the forest, here's a citizen
in America, not very thrilled by what's going on. They
asked him, Hey, what do you think of October seventh.
Speaker 34 (01:38:28):
Every Pulastinian football Tima, not just me, every Bulastinianima, here's your.
Speaker 5 (01:38:33):
Vote October seven. Oooh October seventh.
Speaker 34 (01:38:36):
October seven, Yes, I do. What what's wrong with October seven?
You tell me women in children?
Speaker 5 (01:38:42):
Well, it's murder.
Speaker 7 (01:38:43):
What is this one?
Speaker 3 (01:38:45):
Of course, there you go. Are you gonna run again?
Speaker 2 (01:38:47):
Joe? No, I didn't think so. The problem with politics,
kids is everybody is not trying. They're trying to skew
whatever view they possibly can to give you the rosiest
side that they're on with mife don't smell and that
is a bunch of crap. So dispelling the baloney that is.
(01:39:15):
And it was just again the greatest hits and you
wouldn't have known that because it went on so freaking
late it did. It may still be going on. I
don't know. We're actually gonna break down to nights coming
up a little bit, where everybody is going to be,
who's going to be on stage where things like that.
(01:39:38):
But it's funny you're Oh, they had tiki torches and
they came out of the forest, and that's because I
knew I had to fight those neo Nazis. You have
tens of thousands of people outside your arena protesting, some
of them carrying swastikas, many of them chanting from the
river to the sea and support hamas and look at
(01:39:58):
them as freedom fighters who want to kill Jews. Silence
exactly three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three.
At Chad Benson Show, it's your Twitter, your Instagram.

If you like talk.
Speaker 1 (01:41:52):
Radio, like Chad Benson likes his meals, You've come to
the perfect place for takeout you.
Speaker 35 (01:42:00):
On social media forum, President Donald Trump posted a picture
of a bunch of Taylor Swift fans wearing Swifties for
Trump t shirts and a poster which has a picture
of Taylor Swift pointing at the viewer and it says
Taylor wants you to vote for Donald Trump.
Speaker 3 (01:42:12):
Trump wrote, I accept, but.
Speaker 35 (01:42:14):
It appears as if almost all the picks are AI,
and one says it's satire. For the record, Swift has
not endorsed any presidential candidate, but in the past has
been pretty open about her dislike for Trump.
Speaker 3 (01:42:24):
Wow, not a shocker.
Speaker 2 (01:42:25):
You know, it's funny, and this is I think very
real for most Americans, the exhausted majority. We think to ourselves,
we want somebody that people like, that's a bit joyful,
but at the same time, we want the Donald Trump
type who is going to go in there and get
stuff done and not be afraid to, as in basketball terms,
(01:42:46):
throw elbows kind of thing. So it's this weird world
of like, what's the perfect politician. Well, there's no perfect politician.
I think you guys should know that there is no
perfect politician. But it's that kind of like if we
can meld the two together where there's the happy, joyful warrior,
but at the same time cut your throat, we'll have
a bit of that. But yes, she does not like Trump,
and that was not real. Now, I'm not saying there
(01:43:07):
aren't people out there. Last week we talked about that
that there were several swifties out there in Europe who said,
you know, we should pay attention to a lot of
this chaos going on around the globe. Are we because
I don't feel like we are. This didn't happen under Trump,
which is not true. Bad things happen under all presidents.
But this group of people, in particular Democrats, the Obama
(01:43:28):
wing of the party, believes that they can.
Speaker 3 (01:43:31):
It's funny. They believe they can negotiate and.
Speaker 2 (01:43:33):
Charm their way out of stuff. Trump believes he can
talk his way out of stuff and or eventually threaten you.
I'm gonna go with B on that. I'm gonna absolutely
go with B. Speaking of Trump, guess who's not a fan?
Mark Hamill?
Speaker 24 (01:43:46):
Mark Hamill, here, listen, Mark, We've got an important legend
coming up in November. Yes, you got a message for
everybody out there. Well, in the movies, I thought against
may believe evil. On in our history, we were fighting
against real evil. So I beg you please don't go
into the Orige side.
Speaker 2 (01:44:14):
If you think about it, it was a fringe religion
and they went a little forshet HATI on what was
the establishment e I'm.
Speaker 3 (01:44:22):
Just pointing it out.
Speaker 2 (01:44:23):
I look around, I see you guys living like a
bunch of communists.
Speaker 3 (01:44:27):
I look around.
Speaker 2 (01:44:28):
I don't see him. But he's got real jobs. The
Empire's putting people to work. That's what I'm telling you.
Speaker 3 (01:44:33):
That's not very nice.
Speaker 2 (01:44:34):
Speaking of the Empire, the Acolyte came out earlier this year.
If you don't know what that is, it was a
show and I say it was because it's not around
what kind of show was it? It was a new
Star Wars show that was very inclusive and lame.
Speaker 25 (01:44:46):
I want to ask you a bouth because this is
I would say, arguably the gayest Star Wars that considerable margin.
And are you excited about that?
Speaker 2 (01:44:56):
Are you not?
Speaker 25 (01:45:00):
It's pretty good. Let's be honest, leslie, are you excited
about putting this? You know this is going to be
a talking point? Is going to be a talking war,
I'm sure.
Speaker 13 (01:45:09):
Because nerds are gay?
Speaker 25 (01:45:11):
Yeah, well some nerds are very not gay and are
very threatened.
Speaker 26 (01:45:14):
By Well that's true, but in my world nerds are gay.
Speaker 25 (01:45:20):
Element of no, I don't think so.
Speaker 14 (01:45:22):
And yet people have told me that it's the gayest
Star Wars and I'm frankly.
Speaker 18 (01:45:27):
Into it.
Speaker 13 (01:45:30):
I think that Star Wars is so gay already. Okay,
I mean have you seen the fits.
Speaker 26 (01:45:35):
We'd be like, look how gay this is and then
send each other a reference.
Speaker 14 (01:45:39):
And are you telling me with a straight face that
C three po is straight?
Speaker 13 (01:45:42):
They're a couple.

Speaker 2 (01:45:44):
Think it is canceled because it is awful, and the
reviews were awful because you took something and and I've
said this for a long time, you don't mess with
people's memories. People love these movies, Star Wars, the book,
all of the stuff because of what they were and
what it represented to them. And these are their memories.
(01:46:04):
You're going back now and you're taking stuff and you're
making it up. This this has had lesbian space witches.
There were pronouns. A couple of my buddies are gay.
I know right, you have gay friends. I do, actually
a lot of gay friends. I have no problem with it.
A lot of people out there do, on both the
right and the left. By the way, how dare you
like somebody who has a different point of view that's
(01:46:26):
not liberal? But you know what, they aren't there nerds
for real, and they love Star Wars and they don't
want to see this blown up the way that Disney
has by forcing people to watch crap that nobody wants
to watch because you think in your orbit that everybody's
like this, and that's not true. And this is what
(01:46:47):
happens because you start messing with their memories, their childhood.
They don't want any part of that. Oh, it's time
to get to that part of the show, or teach
a little stupid information before we do that. Though, Let's
run down tonight's d NC lineup. First of all, Alaska, Florida,
(01:47:08):

Speaker 9 (01:47:57):
Know, and then I got all I say something stupid.
Speaker 3 (01:48:02):
It's all take stupid pills this morning.
Speaker 10 (01:48:04):
It's the honest ones you want to watch out for,
because you can never predict they're gonna do something incredibly stupid.
Speaker 22 (01:48:12):
Now you're the fact stupid one with the big mouth
is stupid little astro time.
Speaker 3 (01:48:18):
You should never underestimize the predictability of stupiditing. Now it's
time fall stupid information.
Speaker 2 (01:48:29):
DNC is going on in Chicago. They call it the
Windy City. Two reasons for that. Two Cincinnati Choir used
the term in eighteen seventy six in reference to a
tornado that blew through the city, while also capitalizing on
the term's double meaning to highlight the local speakers politicians
who were full of wind. Therefore, for the rest of history,
