Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
The media.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Loves Trump. What Yeah, they do. They love him. God,
they don't just love him, they need him, Boy, do
they need him. We're eleven days away from this election
and the media is hoping and praying. Oh God, I

(00:41):
hope he wins. Oh God, I hope he wins. Oh God,
Oh God, I hope he wins. Oh please win, please, please, please,
please please win. I thought you guys were Democrats. We're
business people. Just want to let you guys know, we're
business people. I mean, obviously we'd like her politics, but
we want his personality. Obviously we want all the things

(01:06):
that she stands for, abortion on demand up into nine months, right,
letting everybody in you know, we want all those things,
but we want his personality because she's not profit.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
He is.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Hmmm, that's the reality. They love him, God, they love him.
He is business.

Speaker 5 (01:31):
And right now, kids, Trump business is a booming.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Not just a little bit either, a lot of it.
I mean this stuff is booming big clicks and likes
and shares and views, clicks and likes and shares and views. Yes, please,
business is booming. And hey, hey, little hand or general Kelly, right,
it's some more fascism in there. It's good conversation chat.

(02:01):
I don't think you're right. I think they hate Trump.
They love the chaos because chaos equals cash. Chaos is
all what they need and desire. It is a toxic relationship.
How many of you no people that should never ever

(02:25):
ever date. They are oil and water. They are all
that is wrong with relationships, and yet they can't get
enough of each other. They get together, they break up,
they get together, they break up. The chemistry is great,
but they're also chaos. That is this relationship. They can't

(02:49):
get enough of each other. They thrive on each other.
They live for each other. Every day, there's something new.
Every day there's a fight between them. Trump loves it too.
Trump lives for this crap. He loves chaos. I told
you guys that nine years ago. It hurts Trump when

(03:11):
it's quiet. He doesn't like the silence. He loves the chaos.
They are a really bad relationship. They're that toxic couple
that should be nowhere near each other. And if you
think for a moment that the media wants to lose
their star, oh you are so wrong.

Speaker 6 (03:30):
Is the lead story every day, his closing up to
dictators his obsession with Hitler that has now come out,
what he has said about our veterans, and what he
wants to do with the military against his political adversaries.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
It's all huge news.

Speaker 6 (03:46):
This is the future that we're looking at in the
next Trump term, if there is one. But this is
what voters know right now that he is killing us.
I'm talking about us women.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
He's killing us.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
You're fine, Mika, what are you making ten million dollars
a year working with your husband. He's not killing anybody.
You love him, you need him. Tell me this. Let's
picture a world where Trump loses. For just a second,
humor me. Everybody take a deep breath. Kamala's president of the
United States. Trump decides I'm done, I don't want this anymore.
And the Republicans and let's be real, he loses this.

(04:27):
We have to be honest with ourselves. It's over. You're done.
You can't lose three in a row. It just can't happen.
And we have to move on. So Trump, you know,
maybe he goes back and he becomes the kingmaker or whatever,
but he stays for the most part out of the limelight.
What do you have now? See right now, they're throwing
Elon against the wall. The seafee sticks right, like, let's

(04:49):
push him. Woo oh? Is he gonna whoop? Are are
you sticking right? Because they tried that with Ron DeSantis.
The problem with Ron DeSantis is he's boring a f right, Like,
that's the problem with with with Ron. He just it
didn't work. He didn't So now what, well, you gotta
try somebody else. Elon's the new somebody else.

Speaker 7 (05:11):
Musk has emerged as a major Trump supporter, and now
a new report claims Musk and Russian President Vladimir Putin
have been in contact since twenty twenty two. The Wall
Street Journal says the discussions touch on personal topics, business,
and geopolitical tensions. Musk has not commented on the report.
Any times with Putin could come into question. If Musk
ends up playing a role in a Trump administration.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Okay, let's try that on. Let's see. Hey, hey, put
this Putin jacket on. Tell me what, mmm, I'm looking
at you. You might be able to pull it off.
I mean, he can't run for the highest office in
the land because you weren't born in this country. But
goodness me, if we changed those rules, we could probably
get you in boil boy. Musk doesn't want that job,

(05:55):
by the way, but he's the new So you got Trump,
who's a one, and now Elon is a two. So
at least they'll have something. But it's not Donald Trump.
And eventually Elon's going to go back to running all
of his companies. By the way, for those who not
keep me scored, Elon made twenty seven billion dollars yesterday.

Speaker 8 (06:20):
Shit ching.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
You guys need him. People ask me all the time,
well what if he was gone? What would you do?
I'm I live my life, man. Do you know much?
Things I could talk about every day? Every day I
leave twenty stories on the floor, twenty stories that we
just don't have time to get to this reason we do
sound sound and all those kind of things, things that

(06:43):
I would like to talk about. And by the way,
I'm a policy guy. I love policy. I'll talk politics
all day long. This isn't politics, this is high school trauma.
Did you know he's a Nazi? That's what you told me,
That's what the general said. Okay, well it's been disputed
by a bunch of other people that that didn't happen. Yeah,

(07:05):
but it's true. Okay, now he's a Nazi, I get it.
What do you want me to say at this point?
If if you thought Trump was a Nazi all Tuesday,
then hearing the report didn't change anything. And if you
didn't think Trump was a Nazi, hearing the report didn't

(07:29):
do anything. And by the way, all the generals, you
know we talk about that, go read the Afghanistan report.
They disobeyed Trump. By the way, They've done it to
others as well. And ask anybody who's covered the Pentagon
and stuff the generals and I'm not talking about soldiers.
Let's separate the two, right, the difference between working men
and women, if you will. And as my uncle used

(07:50):
to call him, and the CEOs of the military, they're politicians.
Politicians lie all the time. They lied to him about
Syria and how many troops were there when he wanted
to get out. They didn't remember. The military is a job,
that's a career for these people. This is their industry.

(08:11):
And Trump craps on that industry because he doesn't like
the military. No, because he doesn't want in endless wars. No,
they need each other. And Trump soaks it up too.
Trump loves it. Trump knows he control them. Trump knows
exactly what he needs to do to get them to
pay attention, and he loves the fact that he eats
up all of that airtime. He sucks the oxygen out

(08:32):
of the room, and they continue to pump it to him. Quick,
pump some more. We need some more. We need some
to get us some what's the latest controversy. Oh there's
a lady that's come out after thirty one years. So
thirty one years you waited, You were like, well, it
was I was waiting for the right time. I mean,

(08:54):
you could find out how people would think that's skeptical, right,
I mean you could find out like, oh, maybe I
find this little skeptical. Okay, I'm just I'm asking, not
saying the dinner didn't happen, but I just think the
timing's a bit odd, Like, well, I was gonna do
it if you know, like ten years ago, but you
know I was a Tuesday and I had something to do.

(09:16):
And this is the frustration people left. But you know what,
the media soaks it up. They love him. God, they
don't want him to go anywhere. They don't. They don't
And when you hear him say he's gonna take all
of his all the people that are there that speak
out against him, He's gonna put on the wall and
ship him like his Kimchian. It's not gonna happen. You

(09:37):
know it's not gonna happen, because if it was, you
wouldn't be saying it. It's like the people like, he's
a Nazi. What are you guys doing. We're going to
a celebrity dinner to get her to raise money for
the Catholic Church. So you're gonna go hang out with
the guy that you think is a Nazi. Yep, that's
what we're doing. Okay, Oh okay. If that's the way

(10:01):
you feel, knock yourself out. They need each other. So
when you hear people talk about how the media doesn't
like Trump, no they don't. They love him. He's big
business and they know that business is booming right now,

(10:26):
but it could eventually go away. Not only are they
hoping for and I'll tell you this having talked to
several of my friends actually in newsrooms, they're excited about
the potential of what may come after November fifth and
potential chaos there.

Speaker 9 (10:48):
Chad.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
They're not they're not journalists like they used to be.
Take that away. And I'm not talking about the journalists
on the street, the beat guy and Gal that's doing stuff.
I'm talking about the sensationialist media on MSNBC seeing it,
even Fox. Yes, all of these these this is a
cash cow for them New York Times, LA Times cash cow.

(11:12):
They love them. They don't want them to go anywhere,
at least not yet. Three two, three, five, three eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chadminton's show to Twitter, Instagram,
A lot of stuff to get to. We'll actually get
to the actual politics of it coming up with our
buddy Jim Kennedy the bottom of the hour. We've got
our number five scariest movie and arguably the scariest movie

(11:33):
for me at least, so we'll talk about that as well.

it's Friday. He's who going to work hard? They're great.
And I just saw something in processes here the vote.

Speaker 10 (13:30):
I don't understand how we got so toxic, so divided,
and so bitter.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
And I might just say that I hate Elon Musk.

Speaker 11 (13:36):
There are very few people in this world that I
devote the energy to hate, and he I devote energy
to hate.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Not a hundred dollars walking in my mail hole. I
know how I'll say it.

Speaker 12 (13:47):

Speaker 13 (14:03):
It's Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are not taking the
same exam.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
He gets to be lawless. She has to be flawless.

Speaker 14 (14:17):
If her goal was to close the deal, they're not
sure she did that.

Speaker 12 (14:21):
Vancis he's just he's just he's just.

Speaker 4 (14:22):

Speaker 8 (14:26):
Fernando Valenzuela, It's fine, fire, I'm done.

Speaker 12 (14:31):
My motor's.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
I did not realize that he would actually go on
television and say I'm going to use the military to
round up my political.

Speaker 15 (14:48):
Inn Please come home to me, And he says, what
if I told you I could come home right now?

Speaker 1 (14:52):
And her response was, please do my sweep.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
King, you've talked about codifying Roe v. Wade.

Speaker 13 (14:57):
That would rob us who require sixty it's in the
Senate a majority of the House.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
We don't have that yet.

Speaker 13 (15:04):
If that's not possible to catify it in the House,
what do you do?

Speaker 2 (15:07):
I know we need to take a look at the
chilibuster to be honest with them.

Speaker 8 (15:10):
I'd really like to get the government out of my fow.

Speaker 3 (15:27):
First father saw to do all to play together in
an NBA game.

Speaker 16 (15:31):
You wouldn't hire somebody to babysit your kids, like you
shouldn't make that guy the president of the United States.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
You've never seen a more heroic figure than Liz Cheney
three two, three four twenty three at Chad Benson Joe
to Twitter, Instagram, right here on the Chad Benson Show. Well,
I'm looking at the definition of fascism.

Speaker 17 (15:53):
Uh, it's a far right authoritarian, ulternationalism, political ideology.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
Trump meets the definition of a fascist.

Speaker 4 (16:01):
I like this.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
I think I'm gonna come back and do it again.
Do you think Donald Trump is a fascist?

Speaker 6 (16:05):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (16:05):
I do, Yes, I do. I had a lot of
fun here everybody. Oh, Chad, you put that in at
the end, something that upsets everybody because it makes it
sound like he's having a fun being a fascist. Evil
soob even last night, right, they just couldn't give up
the ghost they got to talk about Trump is because
it's Hitler. It's Hitler. How many times I tell you

(16:26):
the Hitler thing gets old? Well, it's because he's not.
He's not. You know what's funny. Everybody's like Kelly said,
so Mark Esper. Mark Esper, by the way, did not
say that. He said, nah, I've never heard him say
anything like that. Last night, Obama, Now, I want to
explain that in politics, a good rule of thumb is
don't say you want to do anything like Hitler.

Speaker 4 (16:48):
I just.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
Do you think it's here's my thing. And if you're
a supporter of her great, fantastic, good for you. I mean,
I don't care. Again, I don't have any I'm not
some of these people hater. I don't. I'm not a
fan of her politics. That being said, an honest question,
do you think this is going to work? Do you

(17:11):
think this final push of you going, Okay, Hitler, let's
let's just he's he's he's Hitler. Let's see how that
we've have we ever tried that before, or we've tried
on every Republican ever? Okay, three two, three, five, three eight,
twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson, Joe, that's your Twitter,
your Instagram. Just let me know do you think this

(17:32):
is going to pay off? And your final push? I'd
like to hear from you. It's Chad Benson, Joe Son.

Speaker 9 (17:39):
Chad Benson, Joe.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
The run up to the Big day is coming. Well,
just what eleven days away? Jim Kennedy. Kennedy is to
do a public policy research is joining the program. Jim,
We've been talking about all kinds of crap off there,
everything from German generals to Hail Mary's to Mark Cuban
Now wants a job and why are you guys throwing
all your might. Tim Walls, as you know, John Stewart said,

(18:25):
behind the Cheney's who you guys all hated because they
were warhawks.

Speaker 4 (18:30):
But now yeah, now they're on their side, so therefore
then it is their people. You know, you know when
it's been getting close to an election day, cause you know,
it's starting to get really really crazy, and it is
getting really really crazy, such with the name calling and
all of the accusations being thrown by both sides. One
thing that someone said one time is, you know how

(18:51):
you can tell who's winning an election at this point,
if they are winning, is because they're the happier side.
And to me, it seems like there's a lot more
joy and vibes on the Trump side right now then
there is on the Kamala Harris side. That's just my
interpretation of it right now.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
You know what I said this the other day twenty
twenty he was not having fun. Twenty sixteen, he was
having fun. It feels very twenty sixteen right now.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
Great, absolutely, I think it's a very good point.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
Hey, Jim, this is something I was talking about the
other day. I most politicians, and you know this, they
hate campaigning. I think Trump not a fan of the job.
I think if you could just campaign every day, because
he feels like he's on tour, he would do that.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
Yeah, I think so. I think Kamala, I always say,
hates it more. The only possible politician I might have
liked it is Bill Clinton, just because he was probably collecting,
you know, phone numbers while he was at it.

Speaker 3 (19:41):
Yeah, and he's like, if you seen who's home, I
don't want to go home. She's horrible. Actually, But Trump
loves being out traveling around, shaking hands, kissing babies, and
he thinks he's a rock star on a rock tour.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
Absolutely no, I think he is enjoying it. He is
happy about it. It's not a dragon. And he does
so many more appearances than Kamala does. He starts this
day earlier than Kamala has been doing on the on
the campaign trail, and basically, again, when when the numbers
are starting to lean your direction, I think again, it's
it's a lot easier to go out there for that
fifth and sixth rally a day. So yeah, I mean,

(20:12):
but remember he's a guy that's almost he's almost seventy
nine years old, So it's taken quite you know, you
know he's not a young spring chicken. You certainly wouldn't
be seeing Joe Biden doing this many appearances. But yeah,
I think he's having fun. I think he's enjoying it.
As it come down to the final couple of weeks.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
Talking to Jim Kennedy, Kennedy ANDSU to Public Policy Research
as we break down the election coming soon to a
town near you, the momentum, and I'm a big you know,
feeling of momentum right now. If you would ask me
today who do I think is going to win? I say,
I think it's going to be Trump. A week from now,
something could come up who God only knows. It can switch.
But there's no doubt whether it's Mark halprint you and
I both watch Halprin, I love him, whether it is

(20:48):
you know, Nate Silver, And we could break it all down,
Harry Anton, any of these guys. There's no doubt they're
all saying the same thing. This is a serious issue.
The momentum is on his side, and if it was
to be today the election, he's going to win.

Speaker 4 (21:04):
More than likely. Yes, but it is so close, and
I hate to really, you know, kind of say those
things that I hated to want to curse it, and
also I don't want to you know, again, like I said,
by this time next to week, we could be talking about,
you know, the Camala Wave and Trump has just lost it.
So it is that close. It is so close right now,
and all the states are, all the battleground states are
within a margin of error, and it is extremely close.

(21:26):
But yes, I would say the trend, you know, as
I say in Wall Street, the trend is your friend.
The trend seems to be going for Trump, for President
Trump right now, and I would definitely think of this
unless something comes up, unless there is some great October
surprises out there that we haven't seen. Other than name
calling that you know, it does seem like it is
going in Trump's favor at this point. Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (21:48):
You know, the name calling is funny because I tweeted
something out last night. You liked it. That thing that
I tweeted out last night, I changed the words. It
was actually from New York Times nineteen forty eight, October
twenty sixth. That was what Truman called Dewey a Nazi

(22:11):
and that the GOP was going to take away all
your liberties. It is a playbook that has been played.
You can go back. You name it right, Reagan Bush,
anybody who's on the right is a Nazi. That seems
to be the playbook this time of year.

Speaker 4 (22:27):
Yeah. In fact, I put out on the on the
Kennedy in stud of Public Policy Research, a substack feed
that we've got up there. I wrote a paper on
it actually was back back in August, on Trump versus Reagan,
and on basically quotes that they attributed to Reagan that
you could very well attribute to Trump with the name
calling and the fear and mongering. Is you get us

(22:49):
into a wards and get us all killed. And remember,
if you you know, you remember back to nineteen eighty
three when Trump or when Reagan was getting ready for
a second run, they made a Hollywood movie called The
Day After Yeah, Yeah, to talk about nuclear war and
how close we were, and it was almost like, see,
if you guys vote for Reagan again, this is what
can happen the next four years. And it was actually

(23:09):
to this day it might still be the most watched
made for TV movie ever produced.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
It was one of those uh god, I remember it
was a it was like one of those mini series.

Speaker 4 (23:20):
It was huge.

Speaker 3 (23:21):
It was massive, Like I would go to school. You remember, yeah,
I be talking about Jason Jason rob Yeah.

Speaker 4 (23:28):
In fact, if I remember right, I think my college
I would have been college that. I think our college
professor told us to watch it and wanted us to
to write, to write like a write up on it
for to turn in the next week about it, because
that's someone say, we're pushing it an academia and in
the liberal in the in the liberal world. So yeah,
that it was the biggest thing around at that point.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
It was crazy. Talking to Jim Kennedy Kennedy Institute of
Public Policy Research. Uh, the funny thing is I said this,
and I continue to say this. People on the left
already think he's a Nazi, So you saying these things
doesn't really that you're not reaching anybody. And people on
the right already say, well, you've called him a Nazi
for a long time. You never have any proof, but

(24:06):
somebody said something. Somebody, well Kelly said it. Yeah, but
you also attributed it to Espert. Esper said, I never
said it, and I never heard him say that. So
you're losing points there. There's enough that if you want
to go after Trump, that's there. But at the same time, man,
and I try to tell people this. Kamala Harris talked
about during the CNN Talla Hall. She talked about getting

(24:28):
rid of the filibuster, She talked about stacking the Supreme Court.
She talked about things that quo. You know, you would think, well,
if Trump did that, he's definitely a fascist untiltalitarian. But
if we do it, we're doing it with moral kindness.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (24:43):
Absolutely. It was kind of one of those things where
you know what, we're gonna have to throw Donald Trump
in jail to protect democracy. That's how solid we are
behind democracy, and they have no so they completely lack
self awareness about Yeah, guys, you might want to think
that one through. If that's really what you know, that's
the of how far you really want to go with
it on those things. You're really not protecting democracy, you're

(25:06):
just being the antithesis of it. And it's just because
you really just want to be in power, not really
to save the democracy.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
Talking to Jim Kennedy Kennedy Institute in Public Policy Research,
a couple quick questions here, I saw you know you
like me and you watch Halpern and I was watching
Halprin and several people have said that they're shopping all
of these crazy stories out about Trump and a few
about Harris, and nobody reputable is taking him. But you
know those things are going to get out, and the

(25:35):
fear is that one of them is AI. And it's
really good.

Speaker 4 (25:39):
Yeah, no, it can be a I can really make
it very scary as far as what you can do
to back this thing up with proof and stuff. And
though I've seen some of the AI vendors have basically blocked,
I know that somebody tried to generate something that wasn't malicious.
They wanted to generate a picture of Joe Biden doing something,
and they wouldn't let them because they would not allow
any presidency. This was about eight or six months ago.

(26:01):
They would not let any of their any of the
presidential candidates be rendered in AI characters. So that was interesting.
That's just one of them, though I'm sure there's plenty
of others you can find where you can go ahead
and do that, but it is something that needs to
be that is a concern, and that's one of those
things where remember they were calling all of the Joe
Biden mallet props that they were being played before he
got pulled from the ticket as being you.

Speaker 3 (26:22):
Know, cheap fakes, chief fake, that's right, Chief.

Speaker 4 (26:24):
Yeah, chieap fakes. But it's like you could do a
real deep fake that does look like that, and let's
not put you know, put it past either Iran or
Russia or China to try to get their influence pedaled
into here and do something like that in the closing
ten days.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
Absolutely, Jim Kennedy, Kennedy Incident, Public Policy Research. Love having
you all. We're gonna have you on through the election
and probably through until we get this thing done quick

do you think we are gonna probably have maybe a
couple of weeks of lawyering up.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
We could have a couple of weeks and been him
exactly how close it is. Pennsylvania will not be done
that night, and Pennsylvania starts trending really early in one direction,
or the exit polls show that is pretty much a
two or three point margin for whichever side we could
where we'll be doing this. I don't think we'll be
doing this all a two thousand long, but we certainly
could be doing it. We could be. It could be
seven days until we know who the actual winner is

(27:17):
if it really is going to come down to Pennsylvania.

Speaker 3 (27:19):

scariest movie of all time in the Chad Benson Show countdown.
It is the Chad Benson Show. A sashtag me too,
hashtag immigration reforms, hashtag help.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
I'm trapped in a hashtag factory and I can't get out.
The Chat Benson Show.

Speaker 3 (28:54):
Forget the old doom and glue and talking politics. You
know that it's time to talk a little scary move worm.
What are we six days away from Halloween, eleven days
away from election? But this is scarier? Oh. I will say,
out of all the movies that I love on this

(29:16):
list from five to one, any one of them can
be number one. The other four movies coming up. The
cultural significance is incredible, But when it comes to outright terror,
at least for me, this movie scared the but Jesus

(29:38):
out of me, and I mean it creeped me out.
Modern movie with a tiny, tiny budget. Oh baby, who's
ready for number five?

Speaker 8 (29:57):
The time has come, so prepared self for a journey
of fear from the darkest corner of cinema, the most
bone chilling tales ever told. It's the countdown you've been
waiting for, the thirteen scariest movies of all time? Which

(30:20):
movie will take the top spot? How about a fish
tail so big because the jaws open wide? Or the

(30:41):
story of a young innocent girl battling evil with some help.

Speaker 18 (30:48):
Well, then let's introduce ourselves. I'm Damion Karras and I'm
that devil. Now kindly undo this scratch? Where's Reagan in
here with us?

Speaker 8 (31:00):
Or the fright of a madman with a chainsaw?

Speaker 3 (31:05):
So I hear some stop stop.

Speaker 8 (31:12):
You'll have to listen to find out. Are you ready?

Speaker 3 (31:18):
Now?

Speaker 8 (31:18):
It's time for the countdown to begin, The thirteen Scariest
movies of All time?

Speaker 3 (31:26):
Number five?

Speaker 4 (31:29):
All right?

Speaker 3 (31:29):
Number five? Filmed in San Diego, California for a whopping
fifteen thousand dollars and boy or Boy. Never in my
life has baby powder and a string on a door
scared me so bad? Number five, Paranormal activity.

Speaker 12 (31:53):
Hi def camera on my girlfriend Katie. She thinks there's
something in the house.

Speaker 4 (31:57):
I don't know.

Speaker 19 (31:57):
You believe me right, I think gonna have a very
interesting time capturing whatever.

Speaker 12 (32:02):
They're normal phenomena. Is it curring work? It's not a currying.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
Goes a lit doors are lo the lunges on on.

Speaker 12 (32:12):
There ain't no weird sound, something easier. Feel the breathing
on me.

Speaker 4 (32:21):
It's footsteps in.

Speaker 12 (32:22):
If there's no footsteps out?

Speaker 8 (32:23):
Oh god, oh what if you do try to play
games with it?

Speaker 2 (32:28):
That's inviting it in?

Speaker 12 (32:37):
She's looks like something big. You not the house to me?

Speaker 2 (32:41):
You can uh run from the civil following.

Speaker 12 (32:45):
Your control. You're not in control.

Speaker 3 (32:49):
What's happening to me?

Speaker 2 (32:51):
Staying like a message?

Speaker 8 (32:53):
It's it's not a ghost.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
What is it?

Speaker 3 (33:02):
Paranormal activity? Orn Pelly made the movie for fifteen thousand dollars,
shot it in his house over a week. You think, wow,
that's kind of interesting. What kind of movie experience did
he have? None, zero, zilch, nada. He was gonna set
up a camera to see what went on in his house.
In this room he'd heard some noises. Thought that might

(33:24):
be interesting. He said, now I'm gonna make a movie,
so he wrote a script. He did not Everything was
ad libbed. Everything they had no script, brought in two actors,
and away they went. The girl who played Katie's like,
I don't want to be a stay at home whatever
she goes, so she wanted to make sure that she
was doing something, so in the movie she crafted herself

(33:47):
for a character, which he was totally cool with, that
was studying to become a teacher. So orn Pelly makes
this movie. His neighbors didn't even know they were making it.
So what happens goes and he shops it, can't find
anybody that really wants it. Then Jason Blue now Bluemhouse,
says ooh, I like this movie. Throw somebody at him.

(34:09):
They go in, he re edits it. They shop it
around and get a deal at DreamWorks. So DreamWorks says,
oh good, we're going to remake this movie. We bought it,
We're going to remake it. Okay. Steven Spielberg takes the
DVD and watches it because he co owns DreamWorks. Terrified
thinks the movies amazing, tells him don't change anything but
the ending. So they shot more of endings giving them choices.

(34:34):
He then subsequently said, I think the DVD is haunted,
and it creeped him out, and man, was it creepy.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
So creepy.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
Jack's mom was breaking that the time we went and
saw the movie freaked us out so bad. I was like,
creeped out. I'm like, I let's do something else. Let's
let's let's let's take our mind off of the movie.
And we went and saw another movie. Snuck In the
movie was amazing. The way they market it incredible. You
didn't see any of the movie in the trailers. All

(35:06):
you saw was the reaction of the people in their faces.
All the movies I love in the horror genre, this one,
for whatever reason, it creeps me out the most. It's
simple yet frightening. Number five Paranormal Activity. Damn, that's a
good movie. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four,

(35:31):
twenty three at Chad Benson's show, to your Twitter, your Instagram,
all of the other things. It's coming up in the
second hour. A lot of stuff still to get to.
I don't know if you guys are aware of this.
There is an election coming. Did you know that? Oh
you did? Yeah, there's an election coming. We're gonna have

(35:52):
more on that. The media, what do they really want
when it comes to Kamala and Trump. It's a very
interesting story. And who's going to be the next villain
for the media. We'll talk about that as well. If
you missing the show, shame on you. But to make
it up to me, you can grab the podcast wherever
good podcast are available at absolutely no cost. It's the

(36:17):
Chad Benton Show.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
Kamala Harris will be in Texas to say Texas with
Beyonce who talking about reproductive rights aka snuffing a baby. Chad,
it's not very nice, you know what you know? Again,
language matters, reproductive rights, abortion, gun rights, gun control. See

(37:20):
where I'm going with this argument is in many cases
the same outside of the whole constitution thing, but language matters.
But she is going to be there today and I
don't know if that's gonna help Allred who is given
Cruise a run for his money and no doubt about that.
But abortion is a tough thing for Republicans to talk about.

(37:42):
I've talked about how they just don't do it right.
Last night, Jdvans We're gonna play some more of him later.
But this I thought, is how you talk about abortion
if you're a Republican. He may differ on whether not
fifteen weeks or you know, you know that stuff. But
jad Vance so he did this live town hall on

(38:02):
News Nation, which can I just say, love me some
News Nation. It was arguably the best stuff I have
seen this election cycle, of putting things together where it
felt like right and laughter, asking questions. It was just

(38:24):
so well done in my opinion. Now I want to
remind everybody this.

Speaker 4 (38:33):
JD.

Speaker 3 (38:33):
Vance would absolutely crush Cott Mala Harris. So if you
are a Democrat, you should be thankful that you're running
against Trump. It sounds weird, but it's the reality of
it all. But how do you handle abortion because it's
this topic, just like with immigration, they don't know what
to do, right the Democrats like that. They just don't.

(38:56):
Well Donald Trump, that's their answer. Jdv ants last night Man,
everything they ask him, hits it out the park. I
may not agree with some of his answers on you know,
like everything, but the way he answers doesn't shy away
and actually answers the question as opposed to word salad,

(39:17):
but on.

Speaker 20 (39:17):
Abortion policy specifically, what happened when the Supreme Court made
its decision is that individual states, meaning that people in
those states, get to make this decision. And that's been
Donald Trump's i think, consistent view, not just over the
last couple of years, but really over his entire time
in public life.

Speaker 3 (39:35):
Okay, So it started out because they're like, hey, somebody
asked you, guys seem to differ on how you guys
want to approach abortion, and you know, and if you
were president, would you have a you know, essentially a
nationwide band. Then it gets to the question of abortion
and choice, and I just think, you know, again, you

(40:00):
don't have to agree with him, but it's hard not
to go. That's a well thought out answer for something
that is very difficult in real life to talk about.
Not the celebration you see with some of the wackadoos
out there, not that celebration, but the hard choice that
people have to make.

Speaker 20 (40:18):
Now, look, I come with this, and I'll be honest
with you. I do care about protecting the vulnerable. I
do think about this issue and how to make it
easier for people to choose life. And I also recognize
Chris I mean, look, I was raised in a family,
I was raised in a neighborhood where I saw a
fair number of young women have unexpected pregnancies and choose

(40:39):
to terminate those pregnancies because they felt like they didn't
have any other options. And I think that very often
what we miss on my side, what we miss as Republicans,
is that this is not people who are like enthusiastic
about having abortions. Sometimes they feel like that's the only
option available to them. And so what we I think,
ought to do as somebody who does want to promote

(41:01):
the cause of life is to make it easier to
choose life to begin with.

Speaker 3 (41:05):
You're like, oh, that's well thought out. Again, you don't
have to agree with him. But taking on the question
which Republicans really struggle to do, they do. And look,
part of this is the fact that jd Vance is smooth.
Jd Vance is well thought out. Jd Vance is brilliant

(41:25):
in a lot of ways and delivers succinct, real answers
to questions that people ask. And again, it's not about
whether or not you believe it, because this is one
of those things where as we have seen, right, you
know what I mean, he just talked about the states.
Pro life people that I talk to and Republicans that
I talk to are surprised that states that are conservative

(41:48):
even throughout the Bible Belt have chosen to continue to
keep abortion around. That surprises them, but they're like, the
people have spoken, which is really what we want, right
the people to speak, not be spoken for.

Speaker 20 (42:01):
I think a lot of Democrats when they hear pro life,
they assume, well, you know. And I even hear people
say this on the campaign trail, that say, well, you're
pro birth, but you don't care about the baby, you
don't care about the mom. I think we've got to
earn people's trust because I do care about the babies,
and I do care about the moms, and I care
about the dads. And I think there's something really scary
happening in our country right now where so many young

(42:22):
families are choosing not to have children at all. They're
choosing not to bring new life into the world, even
though they say they would like.

Speaker 2 (42:29):
To, they feel like they can't afford it.

Speaker 20 (42:32):
That is such a failure of our present leadership that
a lot of people would like to have families but can't.

Speaker 3 (42:37):
We got to change that absolutely, And you know, one
of the other things that's scary that he didn't get
into this is those are people that are already coupled
up who are choosing not to have kids. Then you've
got a whole other generation that politically don't see eyed
eye and they're so politically don't see eye eyed eye

(43:00):
at a date. So even getting to that point of
coupling up is going to be an issue. Oh yeah,
I never thought of that.

Speaker 20 (43:08):
Continue, sir, Do you think that reproductive rights being on
the ballot this time may affect the outcome of the election? No,
it might, Chris, it might not. I'm not a political prognosticator.
All I can do is make my best case to
the American people, tell them what we actually plan to
do when we're in office, and make our case and
let the chips fall where they may. I mean, ultimately,
I don't decide who the next president and vice president is.

(43:30):
I guess to get one vote out of over one
hundred million, but it's going to be the voters who
make those decisions, and so I leave the prognostication to
other people. I just try to make the case that
I think we can actually have a reasonable compromise position
on this issue where California makes its abortion policy, Michigan
makes its abortion policy, Florida makes its abortion policy, and

(43:51):
at the federal level, we make it easier for young
families to choose life to begin with.

Speaker 3 (43:56):
Hard to argue, and I understand the fear. Some people
stuck somewhere feel like they can't get out they get pregnant.
You know, Texas is one of those things where there's
a big battleground. Hence the reason why she's going to
be in Texas today at Kamala, and it's an issue
she knows, she wins on. She's got Beyonce there. I

(44:17):
don't know how much that helps. We'll talk about that
in a second. That being said, on a state level,
don't you want to be able to choose and have
a voice in that. I mean, that's like how our
country was drawn up, was the states governing and ruling theirselves,
and the federal government being involved but hands off in

(44:41):
many cases and letting them do their thing. And again,
I know it's a tough thing. And it's funny because
all some women say you shouldn't talk about a bors. No,
I have every right to talk about a bors one
because without a man there is no child. Well a
woman can no. And it's funny. Some woman said this
to me the other day via text. She goes, well,

(45:03):
you know we don't need a man.

Speaker 4 (45:05):
Yes, you do.

Speaker 3 (45:06):
You still need the stuff, right, the magic sauce. If
you will, you're not producing that, you're not getting that.
It's and and you're not going to go in. And
this is the funny thing. She was trying to make
the argument that like, well I could just you know,
go in and what get pregnant on purpose to abort
the children. That seems like something really stupid. Yeah, that's

(45:30):
kind of a probably not the smartest thing. No, we
should all have this conversation. One Well, you know women
would say, you the government never tells you what to
do with your body. It's called the draft. Remember that
it's called the draft. If they instituted a draft today

(45:53):
like they have in the past, and there's a war,
you're not going to die. So something to think about.
Three two, three, five, twenty four to twenty three At
you had Benson shows your Twitter tweet at as texta program.
Last night you had Bruce Springsteen.

Speaker 10 (46:10):
I'm Bruce Springsteen. I'm here today to support Mala Harris
and Tim Waltz for President and Vice President of the
United States.

Speaker 3 (46:21):
And to oppose, to oppose Donald Trump and JD.

Speaker 10 (46:25):
Vance. Here's why I want a president who revers the Constitution,
who does not threaten but wants to protect and guide
our great democracy.

Speaker 3 (46:35):
Who believes in the rule of law and the peaceful.

Speaker 10 (46:38):
Transfer of power, who will fight for a woman's right
to choose.

Speaker 3 (46:44):
Donald Trump is running to be an American tyrant. Well, sorry,
I was taking a drink. I heard something about him
being a tyrant? Is that Trump? No, they call him
a tyrant. That's better than a Nancy Oh my god.

Speaker 5 (47:03):
And Dames Bruce Strings scene, I'm here in that to
tell you he should vote for Kamala Harris because she's
like really good stuff and she was also bone in
the USA. And I'm here to tell you sim Walls,
stand up guy, and you got she don't vote with
this guys and gah because they're gonna protect the woman's

(47:24):
right to choose and they're.

Speaker 3 (47:26):
Gonna do stuff and maybe stuff other stuff. Yeah, because yeah, okay,
does that work? I don't know. We'll find out find
out if Beyonce can swing Texas today. I don't. I don't.
I don't know if it works or not. I mean,
I some people think it does, right, I don't happen

(47:47):
to be one of those people that thinks it does.
Maybe it does for some younger voters like I was,
you know, but the younger voters aren't like, oh my
god's Bruce Springsteen. And if you're picking your I don't
care if you're on the right or left.

Speaker 2 (48:00):
Right.

Speaker 3 (48:00):
Like Kid Rock comes out, I go, you should vote
for Donald Trump, and he's like, well, I wasn't gonna,
but now that Kid Rock, No, no, no no, do
some research then make your decision, not like well, you know,

(49:36):
Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (49:48):
Chad Benson the.

Speaker 21 (49:49):
LA District Attorney recommending a judge we sentenced the brothers
for the brutal shotgun murders of their wealthy parents, Jose
and Kitty.

Speaker 12 (49:56):
They have been in prison for nearly thirty five years.
I believe that they have paid their debt to society.

Speaker 21 (50:03):
DA George gets gone, recommending their life sentence without parole
be replaced by a sentence of fifty years to life
with the possibility of parole, making them eligible for parole immediately.

Speaker 3 (50:13):
It's going to divide people, even in his office. Kermanthy
Frock there. I believe that they should get out. He's
an awful DA by the way. He is just he's
the guy that lets everybody out. He's the guy that
is the poster boy for George So's and the woke DA's.
It's a weird situation, man, that whole thing with the

(50:36):
Menendez brothers. I remember growing up watching it on TV,
being from southern California. It's it's we you know, we
heard of the abuse, We heard of all those things
that have happened to these kids, and I just it's
it's odd.

Speaker 4 (50:54):
It really is.

Speaker 3 (50:55):
Now that has resurfaces itself. I'm like, was there a
podcast about it? It feels like there should have been
a podcast or they release somebody like this. But the
self defense, that's an interesting thing.

Speaker 11 (51:06):
Self defense was not allowed in the second trial, because
even if you assume they were abused, even if they
assume they were in fear for their lives, they were
not in fear of imminent danger to their lives. They
Jose and Kitty were unarmed in the den watching TV
when they were gunned down with Mossberg shotguns.

Speaker 2 (51:22):
Now, I have to tell you something.

Speaker 11 (51:23):
I think it's really interesting that he didn't litigate the
case at all. He didn't really mention the new evidence.
We talked about this before. The justification is that they've
been model prisoners, they've been rehabilitated. And by the way,
I got to say, it was surprising not even saying
we're recommending they be resentenced to manslaughter.

Speaker 2 (51:39):
This is murder, but fifty years to life.

Speaker 11 (51:41):
Given their age, we believe there should be parole here.
I will tell you, I'm fascinated to see the opposition
that he says is in the office, that people are
going to come out from his office and say we
disagree with this.

Speaker 4 (51:51):
Look.

Speaker 2 (51:52):
I've spoken to a number of people the last month.

Speaker 11 (51:54):
About this case, and everybody is divided about what should
happen with these brothers. But if you ask me from
a point of law, they wouldn't have been successful.

Speaker 2 (52:01):
We talked about this about the Habeast.

Speaker 11 (52:02):
Motion getting a new trial, getting the conviction thrown out
based on the law because of this specific long California
to recall a sentence and resentence that is the reason
these brothers are being released in California.

Speaker 2 (52:13):
Would have not happen in New York. It wouldn't happen
in other states.

Speaker 3 (52:17):
Yeah, it wouldn't. And it's going to be interesting to
see how this plays out at Chad Benson Show to
Twitter or Instagram right here on the Chad Benson Show.
The fact that he's got a lot of by the way,
people that work in the DA's office who can't stand him,
who've come out against him. Everybody who can and has
the field, they have the opportunity to be DA and

(52:40):
has the money and the resources, will run against him
when given the chance because they can't stand this guy.
But some of the things he has done in California
that you don't hear about, Oh my lord three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show's your
Twitter tweet at his texta program right here on the
Chad Benson Show. Some of the stuff he has done.

(53:01):
One of the things that he has done is when murderers, children, molesters,
rapists come up for parole, normally what happens is you
send a prosecutor to the hearing and they bring the
case file and speak out against it. He will not

(53:21):
let his prosecutors or anybody go and do that to
the parole board anymore. That's the kind of person you're
dealing with here.

Speaker 4 (53:27):
Now.

Speaker 3 (53:28):
Do I think Lyle Menendez and his brother Eric are
any kind of threat to society.

Speaker 2 (53:33):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (53:35):
It's a trial where what happened to them and the abuse,
the alleged abuse, and I think we kind of you know,
I think if we got a new trial today that yeah,
I think they were abused physically and mentally and sexually.
That being said, a lot of people are and they
don't kill I didn't, so, you know. And the other

(53:59):
thing is you went out and you spent all the
money you possibly could, hoping you're gonna get all of
that property, all of that stuff. I just it's high profile.
We're gonna be interesting to see. Remember, it's got to
go to a judge now, and the judge will decide
they could get out some people say is early today?

Speaker 4 (54:16):
That would be crazy.

Speaker 1 (54:17):
The Chad Benson Joe, the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 3 (54:41):
Are you the one that walks by here and always
screaming these people?

Speaker 14 (54:45):
No, I haven't wanted by recently.

Speaker 12 (54:46):
Okay, because you want people walk by scream.

Speaker 6 (54:49):
Yeah, I'm not supposed.

Speaker 22 (54:51):
You are going for the devil, don't you know that?

Speaker 23 (54:55):
No?

Speaker 12 (54:56):
Why are you borrowing for her?

Speaker 13 (54:58):
Because I believe he is the more candidate.

Speaker 3 (55:00):
Oh my god, thank you for that.

Speaker 12 (55:04):
World.

Speaker 16 (55:04):
That's how your side, Oh my god, in your opinion,
that's how.

Speaker 24 (55:14):
Yeah, that's I'm sorry, haven't I say?

Speaker 13 (55:17):
Have a nice say.

Speaker 23 (55:18):
God bless you.

Speaker 3 (55:24):
Hey, now, grandma, so that's a ring doorbell, this old
lady comes up to this house. Are you aware you're
voting for the devil? I was unaware of that. I
was voting for Donald Trump and JD.

Speaker 4 (55:38):
Vans.

Speaker 3 (55:39):
That's what I'm talking about now. Actually, you've said the devil.
You said the devil. You didn't use their names, you
said the devil. He's immoral okay at that point, yeah,
I probably is. He's a fascist one. I don't know
what you want me to say. Now, that's gonna you
telling me to f off and die is it going
to change my vote? In fact, I may find a
way to vote twice. Now you are, They're so sick, Chad.

(56:02):
I could never imagine somebody randomly coming to my house
knocking on the door to tell me what a piece
of crap I am and how horrible my belief is
when it comes to voting because my opinion differs from you.
I could not even imagine that. And in some states

(56:23):
you may not leave that porch. It's not very nice, Chad.
We don't handle our differences like adults. Right now, I
just want to let you guys know. I think you
guys do know that. I think there's these guys for
both sides. I mean, let's be real. You got some
wacked duos out there on the right, and you got
whacked duos out there on the left. The emotional stuff

(56:43):
is just I would laugh. I'm like, oh my god,
I would invite the person in my wife like what
are you doing? Oh like, just go with it, just
go with it, like oh my god, yeah that's so awesome.
You're right. You didn't. I didn't just suck her in
like she's going to change my mind and just start
laughing my ass. The neighborhood hates you, I don't care.

(57:04):
I don't. I don't much care for you people either.
How's that? First of all, don't speak for the neighborhood, lady,
You don't know the neighborhood. And you wonder why there
is an undercounting of Trump voters, which is always the fear,
which because it's been proven out, it's simple. I mean,
like that lady who obviously has she's the Karen of

(57:27):
the neighborhood. She's an older lady, though, she's an older Karen,
like a Doris. My grandma's named Doris, but that feels
like it's an older name. Ethel, the Ethel, that's it.
Older Karen's an ethyl. She just you know, are you
the lady that walks by and screams at everybody? Well,
I haven't done it lately, Okay. Speaking of knocking on doors,
age and gender are playing a role. Here's a kid

(57:48):
out there and with counts and knocking on some doors.

Speaker 12 (57:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (57:51):
I've been knocking thirty hours a week since June.

Speaker 14 (57:54):
In Green Bay College, Junior Levitt has been pounding the
pavement for Donald Trump.

Speaker 2 (57:58):
I really like his policies first and foremost.

Speaker 3 (58:00):
According to a.

Speaker 14 (58:01):
Brand new NBC News Stay Tuned poll of eighteen to
twenty nine year olds. He's in the minority. Half of
gen Z voters support Kamala Harris, while one third support Trump,
relatively unchanged from August. But when you break it down
by gender, there's a divide. Young women say they'll vote
for Harris over Trump by a thirty three point margin.
Young men are virtually evenly split.

Speaker 3 (58:25):
Yeah, and half of those young men that are split
on the other side are lying because they don't want
their girlfriends to be mad at them. We've known this, right,
Like the age thing is one thing, right, Like we
you know, that's always even you're younger, you're going to
be a little bit more progressive and liberal. When you

(58:46):
get a little bit older, you're a little bit more conservative.
It's always kind of been that way. But it's the
gender side of things right now that is really kind
of eye opening.

Speaker 14 (58:55):
Are you feeling, like from the people that you talk
to from being on your college campus that people are
moving more conservative?

Speaker 13 (59:01):
I do, in general, I know definitely young men are
moving in the conservative direction, like massively.

Speaker 14 (59:09):
Both genders say cost of living is their top issue,
but while women ranked abortion next, men selected threats to democracy.
Twenty two year old Tanisha vanden Landenberg supports Harris.

Speaker 15 (59:19):
For me and the people that I surround myself with,
it's definitely reproductive rights.

Speaker 9 (59:25):
I I don't know.

Speaker 3 (59:27):
It's like when I hear that, I'm thinking, you're in college,
you're fairly obviously well thought out and educated. You're not
like we never talk about personal responsibilities. It goes for
men too. Wrap it up. You know, when I have interns,
they stop letting me have interns. By the way, but
when I did not because of anything weird, because how
I started everything, which was simply this. Let me tell
you what's going to get you ahead in life. Don't

(59:49):
get pregnant or get anyone pregnant. Be responsible. That's seventy
percent of being young, making it successfully to adulthood. And
then HR goes and then I go, I'm just being honest.
We never talk about that. Though women only care about
abortion now they don't. Young women do, which I guess

(01:00:12):
and young men should say the same thing. I care
about my body. Your government doesn't tell you, yes they do,
Yes they do, they do. I said it earlier, I'll
say it again. If there was a war, they said,
oh my god, we got to conscript people. We got
to call up people. They're not calling you up, Sista,
not calling me up either, because I'm older. They don't
want me. They don't want me.

Speaker 11 (01:00:32):
They don't want me.

Speaker 3 (01:00:34):
But is that something they tell you can do with
your body right, because they're asking you to potentially go
and die.

Speaker 14 (01:00:42):
One of the starkest findings, seventy seven percent of young
voters believe the country is on the wrong track, up
ten points from August.

Speaker 15 (01:00:50):
I feel like we are very much so moving in
the incorrect direction. Our country has become very, very divided.
I was at a funeral a couple months ago when
people we were at a funeral and people couldn't stop
it and not or stop talking about politics. And that's
not something that should be happening at all.

Speaker 3 (01:01:07):
It shouldn't be happening at a funeral, that's for sure,
unless it was, you know, funeral politician. I guess you
might do that. But we talk politics a lot in
this country, and this is my job, right and you're
listening to me, and you know, we try to do
a lot of other things, you know, here, but talking
politics is one thing. The problem is, is we all

(01:01:28):
now have for whatever reason, decided that our identity is politics,
and so because of that, we take everything personal. When
people tell me Trump's a piece of crap, like, all right, whatever,
I'm not, you know, okay, that's the way you feel good,
good good, get it out. And it's funny because I've

(01:01:51):
got several texterters who you know, I recognize their number
and they'll send me text throughout the day and some
of MI know are trolling me and they're laughing, and
we'll they'll they'll they'll shoot, they'll they'll fire off some
funny things and I'll laugh and doesn't it bother you?
I'm like, it doesn't bother me.

Speaker 10 (01:02:04):
It's not.

Speaker 3 (01:02:05):
None of it bothers me because I don't take it personal.

Speaker 19 (01:02:09):
But we do.

Speaker 3 (01:02:09):
We have started to take things personally, and that's not good.
Last night we were talking about JD.

Speaker 4 (01:02:15):
Vance.

Speaker 3 (01:02:17):
Last night, JD Vance, I think said one of the
most eloquent things that I've heard a politician say in
in a while about our divide here. And it's kind
of like how we ended because somebody asked him about, like,
you know, how bad things are in this country and
how divided they are. At this town hall on the
news nation this man.

Speaker 20 (01:02:37):
Say, you know, one of the things I've seen, especially
from you know, some of my my wife's friends and
some of my friends, is that they disagree with us
on politics.

Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
Sometimes they'll get very personal about it.

Speaker 20 (01:02:48):
And if you're discarding a lifelong friendship because somebody votes
for the other team, then you've made a terrible, terrible
mistake and you should do something different.

Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
Like don't don't pass aside.

Speaker 20 (01:03:01):
Like most of my family obviously is going to vote
for you know, Donald Trump and JD. Vance And if
they're not, actually I need to talk to him. But
I've got friends who like me personally, acquaintances who aren't
necessarily going to vote for me.

Speaker 2 (01:03:15):
That doesn't make them bad people. And you can't. We can't.
This is my most important advice.

Speaker 20 (01:03:19):
Whether you vote for me, whether you vote for for
Donald Trump, whether you vote for Kamala Harris, don't cast
aside family members in lifelong friendships. Politics is not worth it.
And I think we follow that principle, willhild of the
divide in this country.

Speaker 2 (01:03:32):
Thank you, n.

Speaker 3 (01:03:34):
I agree you hear us talk about it. Man, don't
get personal and don't let it be your identity. I've
got lifelong friends, and my lifelong I mean there when
I was born liberal, progressive, like so progressive, left of Bernie.
I love them with all of my heart, With all

(01:03:55):
of my heart, I would never for a second have
no contact with them because they are voting for the
other side. First of all, it's not the other side,
just Americans with different belief Secondly, and this to me,
it's important. They've got friends that are conservative besides just me,

(01:04:19):
and they would never do that. Man, you can't throw
that away. It's so much more. And unless you're a politician,
politics shouldn't be your life. Three two, three, five, three eight,

plus a nineteen year old in an oven and Walmart. Oh,
it's a Chad Benson show.

Speaker 1 (01:05:53):
Irre like, yeah, so what it's the Chat Benson Show.

Speaker 17 (01:05:59):
People will make it ast one hundred and ten are
called super centenarians, and Elizabeth Francis was queen of them all.
She didn't even wear glasses or a hearing aid.

Speaker 12 (01:06:07):
No take god our door.

Speaker 17 (01:06:09):
Up until the end. She was living with her daughter,
ninety six year old Dorothy Williams, who says her mother
lived by a simple code.

Speaker 3 (01:06:15):
Always do the right thing each other as.

Speaker 12 (01:06:18):
You would have them treat you.

Speaker 17 (01:06:20):
Elizabeth Francis granddaughter Ethel Harrison, says her grandmother never smoked
or drank and insisted on fresh food.

Speaker 12 (01:06:26):
She did have a garden she would cook herself.

Speaker 17 (01:06:28):
Francis daughter, ninety six year old Dorothy Williams, says her
mom had a more fundamental secret to long life and happiness.

Speaker 3 (01:06:35):
She always fread in love one hundred and fifteen years young.
Her daughter's ninety six, My daughter's six, Oh my lord,
not smoking, not drinking. It's a big deal. And obviously

(01:06:55):
some genetics as well, because chances are granddaughters probably seven,
Oh my goodness, you're at that point. You could have
then a great great probably three greats at that age,
Oh my lord, one hundred and fifteen. And it sounds
like she lived a good one hundred and fifteen. It

(01:07:17):
wasn't like Jimmy Carter. I know what's wrong to say,
because I think he was a very honorable and decent man,
pretty incompetent when he came to being president. But when
they rolled him out, you know, and he voted, did
you see him, I'm like, is that Are you sure?
Did he explicitly say vote for Kamala Harris or did

(01:07:40):
he just look? It's it was creepy to look at.
I don't want to see anybody in that state. And
if you haven't seen the picture, don't you know he's
one hundred years old. And I'm just putting it out there.
It was an uncomfortable picture of them out in the
guard or whatever in the park and he's in the

(01:08:02):
wheelchair and his head's all back and his mouth's open.
It looked like, I'm like, is.

Speaker 2 (01:08:06):
He still.

Speaker 3 (01:08:08):
Is he still alive? Because his goal was, according to everybody,
that he was going to live long enough to vote
for Kamala Harris. So and he's got to live through
till the election, cause you know, that's what you have
to do. Elephants Are they human? Should they be granted

(01:08:29):
human stuff?

Speaker 23 (01:08:31):
Like? Rights activists with the Non Human Rights Project are
suing the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, claiming five elephants in captivity
are being unlawfully imprisoned and should be protected by habeas corpus,
meaning they should not be held captive without legal justification.
The zoo fighting back, saying one requirement of habeas corpus
is that the benefiting party will go free. Our elephants

(01:08:54):
cannot go free because they cannot survive without human care.

Speaker 3 (01:08:58):
True, and I don't know what they would do. We
just can't even wandering the streets. I think we know
that would probably not be a good idea. Do we
all understand that, I mean, we get that right, that's
not a good idea. Now, they should be kept in
a way that is conducive to the life they would
have in the wild. And we have plenty of land
to do it. So, but this is going to be

(01:09:20):
decided by a court. It's going to be very interesting
to see what happens. And I can't wait till they
do that with robots, because you know that'll be coming soon.
If you haven't heard this story, tragic, all kinds of
mystery around it. But a young girl died at a
Walmart in Canada and a walk in oven she burned.

Speaker 22 (01:09:41):
A death A growing memorial for a young woman found
dead inside this Halifax Walmart where she worked. She was
just nineteen, Shockingly found inside an industrial oven in the bakery,
large enough for a person to step inside.

Speaker 24 (01:09:57):
This investigation is very complex, investigation.

Speaker 22 (01:10:00):
Police say they were called here around nine thirty Saturday
night to investigate a sudden death. They have not said
whether it's believed to be criminal.

Speaker 3 (01:10:10):
They're not quite sure. She was nineteen and her mother
also worked at the store as well. And that's a
big oven, and you know, everybody first thought, well it
was it this. What did she lock herself? Well there's
no lock. Well then you know, what did somebody do

(01:10:31):
something to her then put her in there? I mean,
you know that's the question. Is it foul play? She's suicidal?
I mean, did all questions? You have to ask yourself.

Speaker 22 (01:10:39):
The oven does not lock. Police say the woman had
been working that day.

Speaker 24 (01:10:44):
We're working with Occupational Health and Safety NOVA Scotia medical
examiners determine the cause and manner of death.

Speaker 22 (01:10:50):
Members of the maritime sick community say the woman was
originally from India and came to Canada two or three
years ago.

Speaker 17 (01:10:57):
Pretty distressing that, you know, young people come here with
or kind of hopes and dreams, working hard, and then
this is what happens.

Speaker 3 (01:11:06):
Yeah, I mean again hopes and dreams. It could have
been foul play, it could have been something else. You know,
how did she get in there. Did she do it
on purpose? Or was she you know, I mean, was
there foul play? You got to ask that question because normally,
a healthy, normal person with a door that doesn't lock
isn't going to stay inside of an oven.

Speaker 22 (01:11:23):
In Halifax, rumors have been spreading online, prompting police to
urge the public not to speculate, warning the investigation could
take a significant amount of time.

Speaker 24 (01:11:34):
We want to make sure that they consider the family
and the co workers.

Speaker 25 (01:11:38):
The Nova Scotia Department of Labor says it has issued
a stop work order for the bakery and one piece
of equipment at this Walmart. Police have cleared the scene
here but say their investigation is ongoing.

Speaker 3 (01:11:51):
A stop work order for a machine that is that?

Speaker 4 (01:11:56):
Can you do that?

Speaker 3 (01:11:57):
It's like, hey, you stop three two, three, five, three eight,
twenty four, twenty three At Chad Benson Show, it's your Twitter,
your Instagram and all of the other things right here

and let's not forget as well. I'm going to start

media and Donald Trump. Oh you're not gonna want to

(01:12:43):
miss that. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four,
twenty three at Chad Benson Show. That is your Twitter,
That is your ex what everyone calls that is your Instagram.
Soon to be your YouTube as well as your Facebook.
See it is the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (01:13:01):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 3 (01:13:31):
The final sprints to election Day eleven days away. Man,
we come back. It's just going to be single digits
to that point in time. And could the race be
over on Sunday? And I say that because what is
happening Sunday? So Donald Trump, if you don't know, is

(01:13:53):
going to Madison Square Garden and supposedly it's going to
be a celebration of America, which it will be and
a positive message, which it'll start out and probably not finish.
But this is supposed to be like the big event.
Some people are saying this could be the biggest event

(01:14:16):
as far as politically that we have seen in years.
Think Obama, right, remember him, Yes, we can think of
that something similar to that. This is Madison Square Guard
here he is. Now, if you're Hillary Clinton, this can
only mean one thing. You're going to Madison Square Garden. Well,

(01:14:38):
because Nazis.

Speaker 16 (01:14:40):
You'll see next week, Caitlin. Is Trump actually reenacting the
Madison Square Garden rally in nineteen thirty nine.

Speaker 3 (01:14:50):
I write about this in my book.

Speaker 16 (01:14:52):
President Franklin Roosevelt was appalled that neo Nazis fascists in
America were lining up to essentially pledge their support for
the kind of government that they were seeing in Germany.

Speaker 3 (01:15:09):
So I don't think we can ignore it. I'm gonna
throw this out there. It's twenty thousand people that went
to that thing on Madison Square Garden. There was thirteen
people arrested, there was fights, and there was one hundred
thousand people outside to oppose. So settle down. The fact
that you would even equate Donald Trump to that shows
me that, well, you're exactly. First of all, I thought

(01:15:33):
Liz Cheney was bitter.

Speaker 4 (01:15:34):
And she is.

Speaker 3 (01:15:37):
Still man the bitterness and the anger. And you wrote
a book. Is Donald Trump in the book? How many
times have I've told you guys. He's big money. Baby,
This guy's big money. He is an industry to himself.
But the fact that you're like, he's going to Madison
Square Garden, you know when the uh, when Trump goes anywhere,

(01:15:58):
it reminds us of Nazi speeches.

Speaker 4 (01:16:01):
It does.

Speaker 3 (01:16:01):
I don't know if you guys are aware of that.
I just I just up and y'all done fleet feel me.

Speaker 12 (01:16:14):
Nowhere?

Speaker 4 (01:16:15):
Are you serious?

Speaker 3 (01:16:16):
That's crazy? My goodness, reminds me of Rika so I
was called Erica. By the way, they need him though, Man,

(01:16:38):
does the media need him? They just soak it up.
It's it's just he's just we need him. He's like
our drug, He's our fentanel. He's TRUMPETL.

Speaker 4 (01:16:46):
That's what he is.

Speaker 3 (01:16:47):
He's TRUMPETL. I need a hit man, need give me
some of that. Give me gi, give me some of that.
You got any Trump? Yeah, I got some Trump.

Speaker 4 (01:16:55):
That's what it's like.

Speaker 3 (01:16:57):
It's just gonna be like Nazis marching down the streets,
done to Madison Square Garden where the little Jenniferns Sou's cannabray.
Oh my god, so spectacular. He's a fascist, says who
says these generals Are they above reproach? Yes they are,

(01:17:21):
yet have they ever lied before? Did they follow orders
when they were supposed to? Why did they work with
him for two years? Those are fair questions, right. Why
is it that other people dispute this, people that are
even never Trumpers. Now he says he will endorse Trump
in this, but he was the chief of staff four

(01:17:46):
Mike Pence turned down being the chief of staff for
Donald Trump. Nick Airs, who personally can't stand Trump. I've
avoided commenting on Interra staff leaks or rumors or even
lies as it relates to my time at the White House.
But General Kelly's commentsar regarding President Trump are two egregious
to ignore. I was with each of them more than most,

(01:18:09):
and his commentary is patently false. But Chad, that's just
one guy or a whole bunch of guys. Mark Asper
came out because everybody said they started attributing to him.
He's like, oh no, no, no, no, no, don't don't
do no, not me, not me, not gonna do it.

(01:18:29):
Never heard it, don't think you would say it. It's
just they live for it. Though media is running around
all day. Trump's having fun. You know why He's got
the momentum. He's got that big mo. We've talked about it.
We talked to our buddy Jim Kennedy. Coming up here
in a little bit, I'm gonna ask Hi about the momentum.
I mean, yeah, that stuff can switch in a heartbeat.

Speaker 4 (01:18:50):
You know that. I know that.

Speaker 3 (01:18:53):
But I think a lot of people looking at Sundays
if he goes out and delivers a positive message. You know,
last night he called America the garbage can't know he's
it has become a garbage can because of all the
things that are happening. It's not that's hyperbole. That's the
world that politics is. I mean, it's the same thing
when you call him a fascist, he's not. Is that
a fascist? Well, all the things, all the things you

(01:19:17):
want he's gonna do. Now, I keep saying this, why
do you need to do him the first time? Well,
this is because why why tell me? Why tell me
why you didn't do them the first time? Tell me
what was his things? Like, I'm gonna try this and
then if I get a shot at it later, all
the things I want to do, I'll do them. Then

(01:19:38):
could I not look at I don't know, Kamala, you're
a little authoritarian. Aren't you thinking about going in and
deciding I don't like the way some of these things
have worked, So we're going to expand the court because
I didn't like the outcome of the court. Is mean,
we're gonna get rid of the filibuster so I can
get my stuff done. Hold on a second, wait wait

(01:19:58):
a minute, wait, wait wait wait, wait wait a minute.
Here it feels a little right. You've got the likes
of Hillary going. I think we need to control speech
that feels a little uncomfortable, doesn't it. Oh yeah, So

(01:20:24):
I sit here and I and I look at this,
and I say to myself self, whatever the media says
they don't want Trump, they're lying to themselves. They live
for Trump. They love Trump. Trump is their being and
their reason for being.

Speaker 2 (01:20:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:20:47):
And if you don't believe me, look at the coverage.
Oh my god, the coverage is non stop. Trump hate
Trump hate Trump hate Trump. Trump's the worst, Trump's the worst,
Trump's eve, Trump's bad Trump, Trump, Trump trumpet Trump Chup
chup chup chup chump. They love it. He's their drug.
And by the way, Trump loves it too. Trump's willing

(01:21:10):
to be the villain. They view themselves as Superman, and
he's Lex Luthor. We've talked about that. That's that's his thing.
He loves to be the villain. He's okay being the
villain as long as he could be funny and put
on a show.

Speaker 6 (01:21:28):
Is the lead story every day. His closing up to dictators.

Speaker 3 (01:21:32):
Blah blah blah blah blah. The media, you know what,
they're really worried about what happens if he doesn't win.
I mean we will. We want her policies, but we
want his chaos because that equals cash. We want her policies,
but we want his personality. We want her policies, but

(01:21:55):
we need his viewership. They need him. He is the
drug and Trump loves it because that gives him a lifeline.

Speaker 12 (01:22:06):
He likes it.

Speaker 3 (01:22:07):
The cameras energize him, keep him alive. We talked about
this over and over again. There is very few. I
think maybe Bill Clinton might be the only president I
can remember, or politician for that matter, who enjoyed campaigning.

(01:22:31):
Oh man, I did like it. You know. Have you
seen her? She was I don't want to be home.
She's awful. Have you heard what she said about Trump?
I think he's okay. But outside of that, no, Trump
loves it. It's a tour. He's going on tour all
the time. He's doing Madison Square Garden first of all
to look at New York and go, but secondly because

(01:22:54):
it's the most famous arena in the world and it's
got everybody in the left their banny's all in a bunch.
Oh my god, he's gonna go there. He's a fascist,
he's evil bird.

Speaker 26 (01:23:05):
I saw last night they were talking about, you know,
the double standard that exists between Donald Trump and the
vice president. But it's always a double standard with Trump,
whether it's with Hillary, whether it's you know, against Biden,
now with Kamala. You talk about him being a threat
of democracy, but we don't treat him like one.

Speaker 3 (01:23:19):
You don't because he's not. You talk about it because
it's great theater. It's gonna common and prison us all,
take us all off for their heads. It's gonna put
a throne in Yes, you didn't know that, Yes, tell
us more Charlamagne.

Speaker 2 (01:23:36):
Donald Trump, for whatever you think about him, if you
like him, if you hate him, he is certainly who
he is. He's shown us who he is every single day.

Speaker 26 (01:23:43):
Yeah, which is a fascist and it's crazy because you
still don't have news networks having that conversation, like when
somebody says, when somebody questions Kamala Harris's blackness or is
he a DEEI hier, y'all will have roundtable discussions about that,
asking that question. How come you're not having round table
discussions asking is Donald Trump actually not even asking it
stating it? I mean, when you look at the things
that he's talking about doing, jailing journalists, journalists, jailing his

(01:24:06):
political opponents, turning the military on American citizens, the guy
that he wanted to terminate the constitution to overthrow the
results of an election, how come that is not the
topic of discussion on networks like seeing that every day.

Speaker 3 (01:24:17):
It's it isn't you're here, it's NonStop, twenty four to seven,
twenty four to seven, non stop. He's evil, he's bad,
he's the second Coming, He's all of the things. They
was gonna do this, he was gonna Why didn't he
fit all that power? Why didn't he And then you
find out, well, he didn't really mean it like that
or he didn't say it that way, but that's the

(01:24:38):
way we took it over. But he's a Nazi. They
live for him. They need him and he needs them.
Let's be real. They need each other and they feed
off each other. And Trump's fine being the villain and

(01:24:58):
they believe that they're the heroes. Three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three actually had Benson shows your

Speaker 28 (01:26:51):
What's find out what's trending on this Oh Friday? Shall
we Let's start with the magical world of Yahoo Lakers
presidential polls, Jimmy Kimmel, Prince Harry, Donald Trump, Vikings Rams, Olivia,
Mund Menendez Brothers re sentencing question Mark Liam Payne.

Speaker 3 (01:27:18):
Don't get me started about his girlfriend. I just want
to tell you I saw her post yesterday. I said,
well you were gonna get married. I'm like you ran
away from him for God's sakes.

Speaker 1 (01:27:30):
Didn't you get him.

Speaker 3 (01:27:30):
Training order against him? But I loved him to shame.
He's dead. Let's talk about me. Over to Google Rams.
Little Dirk he's a rapper he was arrested by the FEDS,
apparently in a murder for higher plot Menandez brothers. Amir
abduur Raheem, one of the brightish young basketball coaches in

(01:27:52):
college basketball, passed away during a procedure yesterday, aged forty three. Awful.
DeMarcus Robinson Jack Jones passed away. If you don't know
who he is, the love boat, the crooner, what is
the eighty six man?

Speaker 4 (01:28:15):
Awesome?

Speaker 3 (01:28:16):
I'm when I lived in Palm Springs, he lived down there,
see him every once in a while. He'd walk by,
and of course, me being an adult, I'd be like
the love boat. Finally over to the magical world of Twitter.
Dirk murder for hire, we're talking about that. Just wanna
let you guys know that the Vikings football team they

(01:28:41):
lost last night. I just wanna let you guys know
that they lost. Charlemagne, Keith Addison, Ray mel Gibson. He
endorsed Trump and then I think he called Kamala smartest
a fence post or something. At Chad Benson Show, at
you and your Instagram and everything else right here on

(01:29:01):
the Chad Benson Show. Ben Shapiro, I believe in magic.

Speaker 9 (01:29:12):
Letter to God.

Speaker 3 (01:29:12):
These are all pop songs, all trending in the magical
world of Twitter.

Speaker 2 (01:29:19):
The love.

Speaker 3 (01:29:22):
Everybody's like, see, Hollywood has conservatives. I go back to
this whenever I hear that. The people that come out
and who are supporting any conservative okay, are stars, bona
fide stars, Walk of Fame stars, stars that don't need

(01:29:45):
to live in LA, stars that have their own production company. Stars.
That's who who does that? Zachary Levi, who's not that?
Who's Shazam? He came out and he said the other day,
anybody that's in the closet that's a conservative, come out
and support Trump. And you don't often hear that because

(01:30:08):
he's not that star. Now, I think because of the
independent way that stuff is being done now in Hollywood,
and the way that media is being done in a
different way with Angel Studios, and the reality that there
are as we've seen with Angel Studios, there's a massive
want for wholesome and even conservative entertainment. But when it

(01:30:31):
comes to the mainstream side, if you're not a star,
people will continue to keep their mouth shut. Three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show, that's
your Twitter, your Instagram.

Speaker 9 (01:30:40):
It is the Chad Benson Show, Son, Chad Benson Shoe.

Speaker 1 (01:31:17):
The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 3 (01:31:19):
The run up to the big day is coming. We're
just what eleven days away. Jim Kennedy Kennedy Institute of
Public Policy Research that's joining the program. Jim, we've been
talking about all kinds of crap off the air, everything
from German generals to Hail Mary's to Mark Cuban now
wants a job? And why are you guys throwing all

(01:31:39):
your might? Tim Walls, As you know, John Stewart said,
behind the Cheney's who you guys all hated because they
were warhawks.

Speaker 4 (01:31:47):
But now yeah, now they're on their site. So therefore
then it is it is their people. You know, you
know it's been getting close to an election day because
you know, it's starting to get really really crazy, and
it is getting really really crazy. You switched with the
name calling and all of the accusations being thrown by
both sides. One thing that someone said one time is,
you know, how you can tell who's winning an election

(01:32:09):
at this point, if they are winning, is because they're
the happier side. And to me, it seems like there's
a lot more joy and vibes on the Trump side
right now than there is on the Kamala Harris side.
That's just my interpretation of it, right.

Speaker 3 (01:32:20):
You know what, I said this the other day twenty twenty.
He was not having fun. Twenty sixteen, he was having fun.
It feels very twenty sixteen right now.

Speaker 4 (01:32:30):
Great. Absolutely, I think it's a very good point.

Speaker 3 (01:32:33):
Hey, Jim, this is something I was talking about the
other day. I most politicians, and you know this, they
hate campaigning. I think Trump not a fan of the job.
I think if you could just campaign every day, because
he feels like he's on tour, he would do that.

Speaker 4 (01:32:48):
Yeah, I think so. I think Kamala, I always say,
hates it more. The only possible politician I might have
liked it is Bill Clinton, just because he was probably collecting,
you know, phone numbers while he was added and.

Speaker 3 (01:32:59):
He's like, if you seen who's how home? I don't
want to go home. She's horrible. But actually, but Trump
loves being out traveling around, shaking hands, kissing babies, and
he thinks he's a rock star on a rock tour.

Speaker 4 (01:33:08):
Absolutely no, I think he is enjoying it. He is
happy about it. It's not a dragon he does so
many more appearances than Kamala does, he starts his day
earlier than Kamala has been doing on the campaign trail,
and basically, again, when the numbers are starting to lean
your direction, I think again it's a lot easier to
go out there for that fifth and sixth rally a day.

(01:33:28):
So yeah, I mean, but remember he's a guy that's
almost he's almost seventy nine years old, so it's taken
quite you know. You know, he's not a young spring chicken.
You certainly wouldn't be seeing Joe Biden doing this many appearances.
But yeah, I think he's having fun. I think he's
enjoying it as it come down to the final couple
of weeks.

Speaker 3 (01:33:43):
Talking to Jim Kennedy, Kennedy answer to Public Policy Research
as where you break down the election coming soon to
a town near you. Right now. If you would ask
me today who do I think is going to win?
I say, I think it's going to be Trump. A
week from now, something could come up who God only knows.
It can switch, but there's no doubt whether it's Mark
halprint you and I watch Halprin. I love him, whether
it is you know, in Nate silver and we could

(01:34:04):
break it all down. Harriet and any of these guys,
there's no doubt they're all saying the same thing. This
is a serious issue. The momentum is on his side.
If it was to be today the election, he's going
to win more than likely.

Speaker 4 (01:34:17):
Yes, but it is so close. By this time next
week we can be talking about, you know, the Comala
wave and Trump has just lost it. So it is
that close. It is so close, or all the battleground
states are within a margin of error and it is
extremely close. But yes, I would say the trend is
your friend. The trend seems to be going for Trump
for President Trump right now, and I would definitely think
of this less something comes up, unless there is some

(01:34:38):
great October surprises out there that we haven't seen other
than name calling that you know, it does seem like
it is going in Trump's favor at this point. Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (01:34:47):
You know, the name calling is funny because I tweeted
something out last night.

Speaker 9 (01:34:50):
You liked it.

Speaker 3 (01:34:51):
That thing that I tweeted out last night, I changed
the words. It was actually from New York Times nineteen
October twenty sixth. That was what Truman called Dewey, a
Nazi and that the GOP was going to take away
all your liberties. It is a playbook that has been played.

Speaker 8 (01:35:12):
You can go back.

Speaker 3 (01:35:13):
You name it right, Reagan, Bush, anybody who's on the
right is a Nazi. That seems to be the playbook
this time of year.

Speaker 4 (01:35:22):
Yeah. In fact, I put out on the on the
Kennedyan Student of Public Policy Research substack feed that we've
got up there. I wrote a paper on it actually
was back back in August, on Trump versus Reagan, and
on basically quotes that they attributed to Reagan that you
could very well attribute to Trump with the name calling
and the fear and mongering. Is you get us into
a wards, you can get us all killed. And remember

(01:35:43):
if you you know, you remember back to nineteen eighty
three or when Reagan was getting ready for a second run.
They they made a Hollywood movie called The Day After Yeah, Yeah,
to talk about nuclear Awar how close we were, and
it was almost like, see, if you guys vote for
Reagan again, this is what can happen the next four years.
And it was actually to this day it might still
be the most watched made for TV movie ever produced.

Speaker 3 (01:36:05):
It was like one of those mini series. It was huge.
It was massive, Like I would go to school, you remember, yeah,
I talking about us Jason Road.

Speaker 4 (01:36:14):
Yeah. In fact, if I remember right, I think my
college I would have been college that. I think our
college professor told us to watch it and like wanted
us to to write, to write like a write up
on it for to turn in the next week about it,
because that's someone say, we're pushing it an academia and
in the liberal in the in the liberal world. So yeah,
that it was the biggest thing around at that point.

Speaker 3 (01:36:33):
It was crazy. Talking to Jim Kennedy Kennedy Institute of
Public Policy Research, Uh, the funny thing is I I
said this, and I continue to say this. People on
the left already think he's a Nazi. So you saying
these things doesn't really uh that you're you're not reaching anybody.
And people on the right already say, well, you've called
them a Nazi for a long time. You never have
any proof, but somebody said something. Somebody, well Kelly said it. Yeah,

(01:36:56):
but you also attributed it to Espert. Esper said, I
never said it, and I never heard him say that.
So you're losing points there. There's enough that if you
want to go after Trump, that's there. But at the
same time, man and I try to tell people this.
Kamala Harris talked about during the CNN Tower Hall. She
talked about getting rid of the filibuster, She talked about

(01:37:17):
stacking the Supreme Court. She talked about things that quote.
You know, you would think, well, if Trump did that,
he's definitely a fascist intotalitarian. But if we do it,
we're doing it with moral kindness.

Speaker 4 (01:37:30):
Yeah. Absolutely. It was kind of one of those things
where you know what, we're gonna have to throw Donald
Trump in jail to protect democracy. That's how solid we
are behind democracy and they have no so they completely
lack self awareness about Yeah, guys, you might want to
think that one through. If that's really what you know,
that's the of how far you really want to go
with it on those things. You're really not protecting democracy,

(01:37:52):
you're just being the antithesis of it. And it's just
because you really just want to be in power, not
really to save the theocracy.

Speaker 3 (01:38:01):
Talking to Jim Kennedy Kennedy Institute in Public Policy Research,
a couple quick questions here. I saw you know you
like me and you watch Halpern and I was watching
Halprin and several people have said that they're shopping all
of these crazy stories out about Trump and a few
about Harris, and nobody reputable has taken him. But you
know those things are going to get out, and the

(01:38:21):
fear is that one of them is AI. And it's
really good.

Speaker 4 (01:38:24):
Yeah, no, it can be a I can really make
it very scary as far as what you can do
to back this thing up with proof and stuff. And
though I've seen some of the AI vendors have basically blocked,
I know that somebody tried to generate something that wasn't malicious.
They wanted to generate a picture of Joe Biden doing something,
and they wouldn't let them because they would not allow
any president This was about eight or there was about

(01:38:44):
six months ago. They would not let any of their
any of the presidential candidates be rendered in AI characters.
So that was interesting. That's just one of them, though
I'm sure there's plenty of others you can find where
you can go ahead and do that, but it is
something that needs to be that is a concern, and
that's one of those things where remember they were calling
all of the Joe Biden mallet props that they were
being played before he got pulled from the ticket as

(01:39:07):
being you know, cheap fakes.

Speaker 3 (01:39:08):
Chief fake, that's right, Chief.

Speaker 4 (01:39:09):
Yeah, cheap fakes. But it's like you could do a
real deep fake that does look like that, and let's
not put you know, put it past either Iran or
Russia or China to try to get their influence pedaled
into here and do something like that in the closing
ten days.

Speaker 3 (01:39:22):
Absolutely, Jim Kennedy Kennedy Instident, Public Policy Research. Love having
you on. We're going to have you on through the
election and probably through until we get this thing done.
Quick fifteen seconds. Do you think we know that night
or do you think we are gonna probably have maybe
a couple of weeks of lawyering up.

Speaker 4 (01:39:39):
We could have a couple of weeks been him exactly
how close it is Pennsylvania will not be done that night,
and unless Pennsylvania starts trending really early in one direction
or the exit polls show that is pretty much a
two or three point margin for whichever side we could
where we'll be doing this. I don't think we'll be
doing this all a two thousand long, but we certainly
could be doing it. We could be. It could be
seven days until we know who the actual winner is,

(01:40:02):
if it really is going to come down to Pennsylvania.

Speaker 3 (01:40:03):

If you like talk radio, like Chad Benson likes his meals,
you've come to the perfect place for takeout.

Speaker 3 (01:41:44):
All right, if we wrap up this crazy week of politics,
it's also scary time scary indeed. So today's movie is amazing.
And I will say this outright. Today's movie is, out
of all of these, the one that frightened me the most.

(01:42:06):
It's not my favorite, but it ranks up there. All
of these could easily be number one. There's no doubt
in my mind, from from five all the way down
to one. But this one today maybe my scariest of
all the movies. Just for the way that it presented

(01:42:32):
itself and the neat stuff that happened in and around it,
How the whole thing finally became what it became. My God,
it was a bizarre lesson in love. Who's ready for
Numero five?

Speaker 8 (01:42:48):
The time has come, so prepare yourself for a journey
of fear from the darkest corner of cinema, the most
bone chilling tales ever told. It's the countdown. You've been
waiting for the thirteen Scariest movies of all time? Which

(01:43:11):
movie will take the top spot? How about a fish
tail so big because the jaws open wide? Or the
story of a young innocent girl battling evil with some help.

Speaker 18 (01:43:37):
Well, then let's introduce ourselves. I'm Damion Karras and I'm.

Speaker 3 (01:43:40):

Or the Fright of a madman with a chainsaw. Stop stop,
You'll have to listen to find out. You ready the
thirteen Scariest Movies of All Time?

Speaker 3 (01:44:05):
Number five? Oh, number five today? Number five cost a
whopping fifteen thousand dollars to make virtually no cast whatsoever
of a bunch of no names, and yet through word
of mouth clever marketing, it became a juggernaut Number five.

(01:44:28):
Paranormal activity.

Speaker 12 (01:44:30):
Hi def camera on my girlfriend Katie. She thinks there's
something in the house.

Speaker 4 (01:44:34):
I don't know.

Speaker 12 (01:44:35):
You believe me, right.

Speaker 19 (01:44:36):
I think we're going to have a very interesting time
capturing what a paranormal phenomena is occurring.

Speaker 3 (01:44:42):
Work it's not occurring, or live along the sun, hearing
a weird soun.

Speaker 12 (01:44:52):
Easier feel breathing. There's no what steps out? Oh god?

Speaker 16 (01:45:02):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:45:03):
If you do try to play games with it, that's
inviting it.

Speaker 12 (01:45:06):
In perfect something Baby, it's not housed me.

Speaker 4 (01:45:19):
You can run from this.

Speaker 12 (01:45:20):
Follow You're not in control.

Speaker 8 (01:45:27):
What's happening to men?

Speaker 10 (01:45:28):
Say?

Speaker 12 (01:45:29):
What the message?

Speaker 3 (01:45:30):
If it's not a.

Speaker 21 (01:45:31):
Ghost, what is it?

Speaker 3 (01:45:40):
Terrifying? Is what it is paranormal activity. So let's talk
about this movie. Orn Pelly, who made the movie, never
made a movie before in his life. Shot the movie
in one week using his house, with two actors and
no script, zero script. They ad libbed everything, even the

(01:46:03):
actor they brought in to be like the mediums. It
was all ad libbed. None of it was written. There
was nothing on paper. Crazy right, never worked in a movie, studio, theater, anything.
Then he started to edit it up then he started
to shopping around. Nobody really wanted anything to do with it.

(01:46:23):
Then Jason Bloom stepped in and said, I really liked that.
Jason Bloom. Obviously Bloomhouse makes a lot of movies, a
lot of scary movies. Or and said he was inspired
by Late Night Noises. Originally he was going to shoot
a movie. He was just going to film what was
going on at night in his house. And they thought, well,
I'll wrap it around and we'll figure out what we
can do with it. And boy was it awesome. His
neighbors had no idea. Again, fifteen grand that's all it costs,

(01:46:47):
no script. He had to redo his house to make
it work. He did not like the title, but he
said at the end it didn't suck, and it's dry
and accurate. It was rejected by most film festivals. They
wanted no part of it. And Jason Bloom saw it
and he turned it into his first big head And
on top of all of that, he went in and
helped him rework the movie. Then they scored a deal

(01:47:10):
with DreamWorks, co founded by Steven Spielberg. They were going
to remake the movie. Spielberg got the DVD, saw it
went in and said, don't do anything, don't touch it,
but let's reshoot the ending. So they reshot the ending.
By the way, Spielberg thought the DVD that he had

(01:47:30):
was haunted. Isn't that crazy? Yeah, he thought it was haunted.
It was kind of creeped out by the whole thing. Now,
there were three different endings. The first ending was Katie
was gonna come out and the cops are gonna shoot her.
She was recovered in blood. The third ending, because I
will tell you what, if you've not seen the movie,

(01:47:52):
I'm not gonna tell you how it ends. The third
ending was she was gonna kill herself. And then the
one that ended up making the movie. Here's the other
great thing. If you ever watch any of the trailers,
you only hear the sound and you see the audience's reaction.
You see none of the film fifteen thousand. To make

(01:48:15):
the movie, Paramount paid three hundred and fifty thousand for
the rights, post production and new shooting, add an additional
two hundred fifteen thousand dollars. So are you ready for this?
Box office total one hundred and ninety three million dollars
and counting scary beyond belief? We then snuck into another

(01:48:40):
movie to get our minds off of it. You number
five movie Paranormal Activity three two, three, five, three eight,
twenty four to twenty three At Chad Ben to Joe,
at your Twitter, your Instagram, all of those other things.
We're already kicking off some YouTube stuff next week as
we bound toward here's the finish line. Now, this weekend,

(01:49:02):

you to stretch, make sure you drink a lot of
water and stay hydrated. When we get back here on Monday,
we're going to be into the single digits with just
eight days until the election, So get yourself some rest.
This is going to be a full contact sprint all
the way from here to election night, and then well

(01:49:23):
then it may go into overtime. You guys, have a
blessed rest of your weekend. We'll do it again on Monday.
As always, not not Jack.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
