Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
I told everybody last week, well Friday when it happened,
this was as much personal as it was business, and
I stick to that, no doubt. But in the Oval office,
it was crazy. It was chaos. It was something we

(00:36):
have never seen before. It was diplomacy done not behind
closed doors, but in front of the world, and it
was uncomfortable. It was just something we had never ever
ever seen before. Somebody said, who do you think was

(00:56):
in the right? I said, look, is that a place
I would have done it? No, did Trump say a
lot of things that absolutely one hundred percent were spot on?
You bet you, You bet you he did. I went

(01:16):
on several shows on Friday after all of my other shows,
and one of the shows I was on, they brought
me on because you know, I'm I have a different opinion.
And again and I'm not a fan of Putin. I'm
gonna tell you that right now, not a fan of Putin.
He is a dictator. I don't know Zelensky. I think
Zelensky's gotten to the point now where he is a

(01:39):
He enjoys the spotlight a lot, and I think that
is ever present and it's now time to get somebody
who wants to do business. Do I think he's a dictator,
not the way that we think of a dictator.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Let's be real.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
When we think of a dictator, we think of a
person who is a hardliner, who's willing to kill his opponents, etc.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Etc.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
I don't think of Zelensky like that. He came into office,
he won an election. I don't think he's a dictator
the way that we do. But I tell you what,
he enjoys every second of what is going on and
his popularity. And he got knocked down a peg or two.

(02:27):
And yes, there was more than a little bit of
disrespect inside of that Oval office. And if you think
it's only Trump, Biden had issues with him as well.
Biden mentioned there was a phone call where he said, dude,
you show us no respect and you don't say thank you.

(02:48):
So yeah, some of this also was personal when it
came to how I think, I think Trump looks at
him and says, you were beloved by the globe. I'm
hated because I put America first, and everybody else wants
America to be second to their needs. So you're celebrated

(03:10):
for that. You've prolonged this war. I want to end
this war. You have made yourself a martyr, and yet
I'm the one who gets attacked. I mean, there's a
lot of things that go into to this. Now the
question is, how does the rest of the world and

(03:33):
America as well, see what took place Friday, Holy Toledo.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
Look at this trend line here, US support for Ukraine
is too much. Back when the war began, back in
February of twenty twenty two, it was just seven percent.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Up like a rocket ship, my goodness.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
Up now in February of twenty twenty five to forty
one percent, and the clear majority of Republicans, and of
course Republicans are in charge of the US government. Now
sixty two percent of Republicans say that the US support
for Ukraine is too much.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
What a difference from just three years ago. I can
remember all.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Those backyards in the United States with there's Ukrainian flags.
Far few of them today, as Americans' opinions on Ukraine
have changed dramatically.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Well they have because I think America looks up and says, okay, well,
you know what, we thought we'd help. We didn't think
we'd have to help this much. We didn't think we'd
have to support this much. We didn't think we'd be
in this kind of financial issue, this much on the
hook for a time, we didn't think that, But yet
here we are.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
Feelings towards Zelensky have changed also dramatically. Look at this
confidence Zlensky will do the right thing when it comes
to world affairs. Back in twenty twenty two, it was
the clear majority, seventy two percent.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
Through the floor, through the floor.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
By twenty twenty four, just forty eight percent of Americans
say that they're confident that Zelensky will do the right
thing when it comes to world affairs. And GOP confidence
has also plummeted.

Speaker 5 (04:59):
Drama.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
Now the clear majority of Republicans are not confident, not
confident that Vlenski will do the right thing when it
comes to world affairs.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Think about that Europe is doing everything they can to
rally right.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Gota rally the troops.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Gotta rally the troops, Gotta rally the troops, Gotta do it,
Gotta rally the troops, Gotta rally the troops because Europe's
looking over there and they're seeing Russia and they're worried
Russia is going to decide, Hey, I want a bigger
piece of something.

Speaker 6 (05:28):
The UK is.

Speaker 7 (05:29):
Prepared to BAPTI with boots on the ground of planes
in the air.

Speaker 8 (05:34):
Together with others.

Speaker 7 (05:35):
Europe must do the heavy listing put to support piece
in our continent. How to succeed this efforts must have
strong US backing.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
It's always about the US and part of that is
because the only one who's gonna be able to talk
to Putin is Trump.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
We are not blameless in this, and by we I
mean NATO, Europe as well. The expansion of NATO, the
pushing of NATO. I've compared it to what took place
when you had Cuba and the Cuban missile crisis. Think
about that for a second, inching closer and closer to

(06:19):
our border, and that was the There was a lot
of things that Russia and the US disagreed on, but
there was a lot of things we agreed on. But
the number one thing was no more expansion in the East.
That is a bridge too far. No more expansion to

(06:45):
our borders again, that's a bridge too far. And yet
there was this kind of push and this kind of push,
and this kind of push and this you know, teasing flirting.

(07:06):
So the last here we are. But I think a
vast majority of Americans saw the other day, Hey, you
are not being respectful. You did not show up in
a way that people thought you should have. All you
had to do was sign that thing, have a smile

(07:29):
on your face, and move on. Look, do I think
that we're going to protect them? I think that there
would be some sort of Yes, we're going to be
a part of whatever's going to take place when it
comes to a mineral deal and protection for you guys.
But while I'm here, you don't have to worry about anything.

(07:49):
The question is what happens after Trump leaves office. I
think that's a fair question to ask. And I wouldn't
sign something that says you're just going to take our
mint rules and we get nothing. As far as protection,
I have no problem with that. Who would sign that?
Who would sign away a portion of your income to

(08:12):
somebody for something that they won't do? Not many people,
but I think a lot of people thought. Even Democrats
and independence I talked to said, you know, Zelinski, all
I had to do was show up, shut his mouth,
sign this thing, and I bet this would have been

(08:35):
put to bed sooner rather than later.

Speaker 9 (08:37):
And most Americans believed Vladimir Zelensky's behavior at the White
House towards the US President Donald Trump was offensive. Forty
nine percent of people polled believed Trump and JD. Vance
had a stronger argument than Zelenski, and sixty two percent
believed that Zelensky had been offensive in his behavior in

(08:57):
the Oval Office.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
It was not hard.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
And yes, some of this, I will say it again
and again, some of was absolutely personal. Trump looks over
and says, all this crap with the phone call, the
perfect phone call, all of that stuff that led it
right there. On top of that, Russia, Russia, Russia.

Speaker 8 (09:26):
Let me tell you, Putin went through a hell of
a lot with me.

Speaker 10 (09:28):
He went through a phony witch hunt where they used
him and Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia.

Speaker 8 (09:34):
You ever hear of that deal. There was a phony
that was a phony.

Speaker 10 (09:37):
Hunter Biden, Joe Biden scam, Hillary Clinton, shifty Adam Schiff
who was a Democrat scam, and he had to go
through that, and he did go through it. We didn't
end up in a war. And he went through it.
He was accused of all that stuff. He had nothing
to do with it. It came out of Hunter Biden's bathroom.

(09:57):
It came out of Hunter Biden's bedroom.

Speaker 8 (10:00):
It was disgusting.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
So, like I said, I do think there was personal
stuff in there, There's no doubt about that, but a
lot of it is also Trump looks over and says,
everybody thinks this guy's a hero.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
He don't want to end this war.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
He doesn't.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
And you're never getting back that land. We've already talked
about this. We've said this from day one. Mikelein's been
on our show for three plus years talking about it
is gonna be peace in land. You want peace, You're
gonna give up some of your land. That's just the
way this goes. And yet here we are three years later,

(10:42):
opportunities to have peace before and yet nothing. What you
want you're not going to get. And if you continue
to play hardball, you're gonna find out what the Europeans
are going to do about this. So we're gonna run
can roll and see. It's going to be interesting. There
is no doubt about that. So much stuff to get

(11:04):
you more on this today. And while all of this
was going on, on Friday, Elon Musk was on with
Joe Rogan talking doge and very fascinating some of the
stuff he said and the reaction to that, including Buddy Sanders.
You know he's the richest man in the world. We know, Bernie,

(11:26):
we know you love to tell us that. Talk a
little bit about that the Oscars. How did I do

Speaker 11 (13:11):
ABC News has learned of concerns within the intelligence community
that foreign adversaries, including Rush Up and China, could target
thousands of federal workers for recruitment. Meanwhile, Crown's protesting Musk
targeted his Tesla dealerships this weekend, and in Kansas, a
Republican senator ended his town hall early as constituents demanded
answers about job cuts affecting veterrends.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Let me ask you this. Okay, so you guys are
all because I hear it all the time. I'm a
civil servant. I'm a civil servant. The sacrifices I make
for you?

Speaker 12 (13:40):
Does?

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Ah?

Speaker 3 (13:41):
So come first? Two things.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Number one, they're always targeting our people. Number two, if
you're willing to sell out that easy and that quick.
Because Elon Musk asked you to provide a email reply
to his what have you done this week? That is hilarious.

(14:10):
I'm a civil servant. Hey, we'll give you twenty five
grand to snitch on your country.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
I'll take it. I'm a patriot.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
Oh my lord, Well you better hurry up because none
of these people are gonna have a job. You're gonna
give them a lot of money for sitting around doing nothing.

Speaker 13 (14:25):
Many federal employees received a second email this weekend demanding
they list five tasks they completed out work last week,
according to emails reviewed by ABC News. The emails give
a Monday night deadline and do not address whether or
not replying would lead to possible job loss the musk,
saying those who fail to respond will be fired, writing
on X the President has made it clear that this

(14:46):
is mandatory for the executive branch.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
We'll get in deeper to this little bit later. Because
Elon was on Friday with Joe Rogan, the problem was
something else happen and on Friday as well. That has
kind of sucked the air out of everything. So you've
got just a few days to get your emails in.
And then includes the Department of Education and more.

Speaker 13 (15:11):
The Social Security Administration says it's planning to cut seven
thousand jobs and reduce the number of its regional offices
from ten to four. The agency offering early retirement or
voluntary payouts ranging from fifteen to twenty five thousand dollars
to workers who accept the offer. They have until March
fourteenth to make a decision.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
We'll find out you've got a few days still to
make a decision if you're going to take that early retirement.
You know, some of this stuff is just basic three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson Shows,
your Twitter tweet at is text the program right here
on The Chad Benson Show and This is as much

(15:53):
about efficiency as it is bloat and waste and theft
and scams and money laundring. But there's definitely some efficiency
sus as well. You know we're gonna talk Oscars a
little later, right. I'm not gloating, but I'm kind of gloating.

Speaker 14 (16:11):
Man.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
I nailed it. Never saw one of those movies, and
I nailed it.

Speaker 15 (17:36):
Chad Benson Show, Son, Chad Benson Shoe, the.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
Well, Trump and Zelenski were doing the dance the Wild
Stallion inside of the Oval office with his friend Jadvans.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
We'll talk about that a little bit later.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
Elon Musk and Joe Rogan sat down for three hours
talk about all kinds of stuff, including Doge in particular,
a lot of stuff about Doge. The amount of stuff
that has been stolen for DOGE, which is incredible in
what he called the biggest scam ever.

Speaker 16 (18:36):
There are people like you and the Doge team out
there in the world. Imagine if one of those works
for an organization like USAID or any other organization and
has this understanding of how much Freeze involved, but they
have evil intentions and they're entwined in this system for

(18:56):
decades and decades, and they've built a career, and all
the entire little minsa coming in and they start moving around.
You could probably do it easy. It sounds like the
way you've laid it out. If you were a career
person who's in there forever, who knew how everything works,
and you were very clever, you could make it happen.

(19:17):
And you could probably do it in conjunction with some
people that you know that are forming an MNGO. Hey
let's all work together.

Speaker 5 (19:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 16 (19:26):
Yeah, And this is the resistance that you're facing.

Speaker 17 (19:29):
I think it's the biggest scam of all the time.

Speaker 16 (19:30):
This is not something you ever thought.

Speaker 12 (19:32):
The biggest scam of all ever time, ever of human.

Speaker 16 (19:36):
History, if human history is wow, I think you're right.

Speaker 17 (19:40):
Yeah, what a trillion dollar scam. There's never been a
trillion dollar scam.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
Trillion dollar scam. Well, the stuff that's really getting talked
about is the battle of social security, so Medicare and
sold security, which everybody's we're never gonna cut it, We're
never gonna cut it.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
Well, we better figure out something.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Nobody wants to have taxes raised, except people who want
other people to pay for their money.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
Nobody wants to all participate.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
Nobody wants any kind of cuts anywhere if it will
affect them. But everybody wants somebody else to take care
of something. And social security is, as he puts, I've
said it for years, it's giant Ponzi's scheme. If you
did this in the private world, even if you let
everybody know what you're doing, you're going to be in
a lot of trouble.

Speaker 18 (20:27):
Well, let me ask you about social security, and you
raise Elon Musk, Senator, So let me follow up with
you on this very point, because he's made some very
pointed comments about social security. I referenced it earlier in
the broadcast.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
This was to Joe Rogan. I'd like you to hear it.

Speaker 19 (20:43):
And get your reaction. On the other side. Take a look.

Speaker 17 (20:45):
Social Security is the biggest Ponzi scheme of all time. Basically,
people are living way longer than expected, and there are
a few babies being born, so you have more people
who are retired and get that live for a long
time and get retirement payments, so the future obligations. So
how a bad the financial situation is right now for

(21:08):
the federal government, it will be much worse in the future.

Speaker 18 (21:11):
Senator President Trump says he's not going to touch Social Security.
Elon Musk calls it a Ponzi scheme.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
Do you agree?

Speaker 2 (21:18):
What do you think? What do you think Bernie does.
Do you think he agrees or do you think he
disagrees with us? Let's find out now.

Speaker 5 (21:27):
I think what must the wealthiest guy in the.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
World just always got to start with that, the wealthiest
That's what he's got on his card.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
Elon Musk, wealthiest guy in the world.

Speaker 5 (21:35):
Now, I think what must the wealthiest guy in the
world just said is totally outrageous. That's a hell of
a Ponzi scheme. When for the last eighty years social
Security has paid out every nickel owed to every eligible American.
Quite a Ponzi scheme. What is in fact a problem

(21:55):
is that if we don't make reforms and improve the
funding mechanism in the next nine years, the Social Security
Trust Fund, which provides about twenty percent of the funding,
will go broke. So what we have got to do,
and I think most Americans agree, and I've just introduced
legislation to do that, is you lift the cap on

(22:16):
taxable lincome. Right now, Musk worth one hundred billion, contributes
the same amount into the Social Security Trust Fund as
somebody making one hundred and seventy million.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
By the way, Elon Musk is the most tax person
in history. There's no doubt about that. Does he pay well,
Here's the thing, is it ever enough? Do you know
if we took every dollar from every rich individual, we're
talking one hundred million, twohudred million. I'm talking about people
have like, you know, two million dollars in their retirement
and so I'm talking about you go and you take
from the wealthiest, you take it would fund the government

(22:49):
for like six to nine months. And Bernie talks about
we need to do taxes, more taxes, so we increase benefits.

Speaker 3 (22:57):
Well, now we got here.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
We're not even You're already talking about raising benefits as
you increase taxes.

Speaker 5 (23:03):
You lift that cop we can extend the solvency of
Social Security for seventy five years, and you can raise
benefits Kristen. Right now in americaup half of elderly people
are trying to get by on thirty thousand a year,
twenty two percent on fifteen thousand dollars a year. We've
got to raise Social Security benefits. We've got to expand

(23:26):
Medicare to include hearing, dental, and vision. Not go after
these programs which are so important to millions of our seniors.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
I don't want to see seniors go that. I don't
want to see seniors struggle when it comes to the
medical side of it.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
But as we've talked about, for every dollar you put in,
you're taking eight bucks out. We're living longer, and we
don't have the replenishment. When it comes to the workforce,
we don't. So there's so much that goes into it. Again,
nobody wants to cut anything. Yet, everybody wants to see

(24:04):
stuff raised. Everybody wants to see stuff grow. Everybody wants
to see stuff. Hey, I want my department, my agency
to get more, more, more more.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
Everybody wants that.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
You can't have it.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
You can't give everything to everybody. It doesn't work that way. Meanwhile,
one thing he did say that was fascinating about the grift,
the the the stuff that goes on. What would happen
if be exposed at all.

Speaker 17 (24:34):
But I think if I, if I, if I.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
Fully destroy the.

Speaker 5 (24:40):
Corruption and the craft, they will kill me.

Speaker 16 (24:44):
That's a thing to live with.

Speaker 5 (24:46):
Yes, so.

Speaker 20 (24:50):
Damn it.

Speaker 16 (24:52):
I really hope they don't kill you.

Speaker 12 (24:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 17 (24:54):
Thanks, I mean, I was a strive to strive to
be alive.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
I have to belive indeed. Oh, I think there's people
out there that aren't benefiting from the craft and the
corruption who would love to kill you, because we've seen
them all over the interwebs. Because they're ass hats and
they decide that's the best thing to do. She go
online and say.

Speaker 21 (25:15):
We should get rid of Belane because he's a rich
and he's Oh my god, we should get rid of.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
It's just a bunch of horse crap. You know you
are out there.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
Meanwhile, I don't know if you guys heard Friday, there
was a little kerfuffle in the White House.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
After the kerfuffle, Zelenski went straight to Fox News.

Speaker 14 (25:32):
That our soldiers run away that they are not heroes,
that Ukraine lost million of civilians, that his president is dictator.

Speaker 5 (25:43):
You know what is the reaction.

Speaker 1 (25:44):
It's not about me.

Speaker 14 (25:45):
The reaction is that where is our friendship between Ukraine
and the United States.

Speaker 5 (25:51):
That's it.

Speaker 14 (25:52):
This is feeling and that's why I do not want
to lose our great partners, the United State. And please
be correct, just I want to be very polite. I
mean this, be correct with this number.

Speaker 3 (26:08):
Okay, we'll be correct.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
Is the number, and the number is a whole bunch.
That is the number. That is the number, a whole bunch.
We're going to get it deeper. You're like an addict,
and we're fueling your addiction and your addiction to fame,
your addiction to to the power that you have, your
addiction to being globally loved. There is an addiction there,

(26:30):
and it's time to put this thing to bed.

Speaker 5 (26:32):
Right.

Speaker 12 (26:32):
This was an intervention, you should speak frankly, that's for
behind closed doors.

Speaker 5 (26:36):
In public like that.

Speaker 12 (26:37):
The last thing he should have done was to get
into a confrontation with the President and also the Vice president. Look,
he's got a viewpoint.

Speaker 8 (26:44):
I understand it.

Speaker 12 (26:45):
I think a lot of people can, but this was
not the moment for that. So I think that this
is an open mound now and it's going to remain
so in less and until something has done. I think
it has to be on his side to redress this matter.

Speaker 3 (27:00):
Well, we're going to find out more and more.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
We'll get into it a little deeper again next hour,
but there absolutely has to be a situation where he
comes to Jesus and has that discussion, because Trump has
made it known, and I.

Speaker 3 (27:18):
Think a lot of other people here have made it known.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
We heard earlier that those numbers when it comes to
support for Ukraine, even amongst independence, Democrats and Republican has plummeted.
And it's not support for the people, and it's not
support for Putin. It's support for the continuing effort to
fund this and I think we need to make that
abundantly clear. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four

Speaker 23 (29:10):
It was a night that belonged to one film, the
romantic comedy drama Anora, winning over and over five times,
including for Best Picture Anora. Honora's Sean Baker won his
first three Oscars in the one night for Original Screenplay,
Film Editing, and Director, breaking a record for the same
person and same film in one night. Anora's Mikey Madison

(29:34):
for Actress in a Leading Role. This is a very
seriou Actor in a Leading Role went Tadrian Brody for
the Brutalist.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
Oh did it?

Speaker 24 (29:44):
So?

Speaker 2 (29:44):
I called and gave you my picks on Friday, and
I told you, guys, bet your house, bet your house,
take out a second, bet your house. I didn't tell
you that because that would have been silly. I don't
know if you can even bet on the Oscars. I'm
sure you can, so I wanted to find out how
I did. Are you guys ready?

Speaker 16 (30:05):
Are you.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
Let's do it?

Speaker 2 (30:09):
These are my calls from Friday with the winner being announced.

Speaker 3 (30:14):
Let's do it? Supporting Actor, Actor, and Supporting role. Are
you guys ready for this? Kiaren Colkin for a real pain?

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Kiaren Colkin a real pain.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
One for one, I will tell you I missed out
on the animation, I said, wild Robot end up being Flow.
My wife and kids saw Flow said it's amazing. All right,
continue though, these are the big ones. Oscar for supporting actress.
Actress in a supporting role, Zoey saw Donna for the

(30:50):
movie that should be a Razzie Amilia Perez.

Speaker 3 (30:56):
Two for two.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
Now you're saying to yourself, Chad, how are you picking
all of these because you've never seen.

Speaker 3 (31:05):
Any of these movies. I don't have to.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
It's simple and easy. Let's go to actor, shall we.
This one was really easy actor Adrian Brody.

Speaker 3 (31:14):
He wins for the.

Speaker 5 (31:15):
Brutalist Adrian Brody.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
I didn't even know how I do it. Just magical, magical.
Now this was the tougher of them, said many people.
I say, nay, actress in a leading role. Now this
has come down to two, Demi Moore or Mickey Madison.
I'm gonna go with Mickey.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
Madison, Mikey Madison.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
I thought it was Mickey. It was Mikey. You guys
get where I'm going with that.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
And finally, best picture everybody else you guys. There was
a lot of good pictures apparently, and now for Best Picture.
So here are the Best Picture nominees. A Noorra, The Brutalist,
A Complete Unknown, Conclave, Dune Part two, Emelia Perez, I'm
still here, Nickel Boys, The Substance, and Wicked Or Those

(32:02):
are all horses and it's a race. Best Picture goes to.

Speaker 5 (32:11):
Oh Man, did I nail that?

Speaker 3 (32:16):
I nailed that?

Speaker 2 (32:18):
I win the Oscar for person who called the Oscars
Award winner wasn't hard. I know what you're thinking, Chad.
Those are movies I'll never see.

Speaker 3 (32:31):
You're correct. People are like, what the hell's Anora? Anora is?
And pardon my language. You know, Cinderella, this is Horzarella.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
She's basically a sex worker slash stripper who gets whisked
away by a Russian oligarch's son.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
That's what I gather from the trailer. That's what I
That's what I think it is. What about the Razzies, Chad?
What about the Razzies?

Speaker 2 (33:03):
You pick those? So the Razzies are the worst films.
They're announced the night before. So here we go, Worst Picture,
Madam Webb, I said it, it won it period, case closed,
easy to see worst movie actor I missed out on
it went to Jerry Seinfeld and Frosted. I picked Joaquin Phoenix.

(33:24):
I did get actress right with Dakota Johnson. Madam Webb,
because it's so awesome, picked the right movie the wrong
supporting actor John Voight for Megopolis and Reagan and Shadowlands
and Stranger so he got for three. I picked Shila
buff supporting actress Amy Schuber Unfrosted, and those are the

(33:46):
ones I picked there, So not bad, not bad at all,
did okay in my pickings this weekend, is what I'm
trying to tell you.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
Kids, Madam Webb is awful. Think about this.

Speaker 2 (33:59):
If you're Karring Culkin and again we'll get back to
all the Russia Ukraine stuff here in a minute. If
you're Kering Culkin, you are, You're in secession, and you're
absolutely one of the stars of that show on HBO.
Now you've got an Academy Award, you are talked about

(34:22):
as this incredible actor because you are. And yet your brother,
who does virtually know movies or television shows, he's doing
more now than he used to.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
Did a movie that had such.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
An effect on us as a country and as a nation.
His character that you still live in the shadow. Isn't
that weird? Because McCauley doesn't do much, You're still a
hell of an actor. I've seen him in a couple
things recently. He's doing more more. But the reality is

(35:02):
Home alone massive and still has an effect on people
to this day. And if you ask people who's the
bigger of the Kolkin brothers, is it Karen or McCauley,
they'll say McCauley because of that movie.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
Right there, Crazy three two, three, five.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
Three eight, twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson Show
is your Twitter. You could tweet at us and text
the program. Also check out Chad Benson Show TV on
the old YouTube if you could go there.

Speaker 3 (35:32):

Speaker 2 (35:34):
We try to release a video or two every single
day right here on the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 3 (35:41):
Coming up, second.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
Hour of the show this week, more on Ukraine Zelenski.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
But I really want the mineral deal, but I want
it my way.

Speaker 3 (35:52):
Reaction from around the globe.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
We're also gonna talk a little bit about the other
conflict going on that is Israel and Hamas. People say Palestine,
it's Hamas that they're fighting and this weekend, is there
a pause that could lead to more isshoes? Is Israel
using food as a weapon? Talk a bit about that,

(36:16):
plus chaos at a cheerleader contest. Yeah wait, do you
hear this? If you're missing me the show, we say
shamgard the podcast, Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (36:24):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
If you didn't see it on Friday, it was a
battle of wills, of which Trump imposed his until Lensky.
You know what it reminded me of. It's an intervention.
There was was an intervention.

Speaker 3 (37:09):
Dude.

Speaker 2 (37:10):
You're addicted to the fame. You're addicted to the being
celebrated as a war hero. You're addicted to the amounts
of cash that flow into your country. You're addicted to
all of the stuff. And that addiction is fed through us,
the American taxpayer. Now he look. This isn't to say

(37:33):
that Putin's a good duy. We know he's not. This
isn't to say that Zelinsky hasn't done a hell of
a job. But enough is enough. I talked about it
last hour. It's not the support for the Ukrainian people
who are fighting it's not that it's not the support

(37:56):
of Putin. We don't want to see Putin just absolutely
devastate a nation and take it over.

Speaker 3 (38:05):
We don't.

Speaker 2 (38:06):
First of all, he can't afford it. You guys recognize
Putin cannot afford it. Because if you think, as my
clients has told us a gazillion times, our military analyst
who's been on our show a gazillion dimes talked about this,
if you think invading a country is tough, try occupying it.
He don't have the men to do that. It's not

(38:32):
about the people. It's about when is it enough? When
is it enough? It's time to move on. It is
time to separate us and them. When it comes to
the dollars, that's it. It's not about we want, you know,

(38:54):
Putin to win. That's a bunch of crap. It's an intervention, dude.
It's enough.

Speaker 14 (39:00):
It is.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
You're not going to get back what you think you're
going to get back. You could chase that dragon all
you want, but it ain't coming back.

Speaker 8 (39:06):
Baby.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
Okay, you've lost that and it's time to move on.

Speaker 25 (39:13):
Frankly, I was personally very upset because we had a
conversation with President Zelensky, the vice president and I the
two three of us, and we discussed this issue about
the mineral rights, and we explained to them, look, we
want to be in joint venture with you, not because
we're trying to steal from your country, but because we
think that's actually a security guarantee. If we're your partner
in an important economic endeavor, we get to get paid

(39:34):
back some of the money the taxpayers have given close
to two hundred billion dollars. And it also now we
have a vested interest in the security of Ukraine.

Speaker 19 (39:43):
And he said, sure, we want to do this deal.

Speaker 3 (39:46):
Do you do you really want to do this deal?
Or do you not want to do this deal? Now?
Do I?

Speaker 2 (39:55):
If i'm him, do I say, look, I want some
assurances that you're are going to make sure that the
minute this deal is in sign and eight months from
now he doesn't come up with some other excuse and
jump in and attack us. I want some sort of protection.

(40:15):
That's totally understandable. That is, but I'm telling you, the
addiction to the fame, the popularity, all that stuff plays
a huge role in this.

Speaker 25 (40:25):
And he said, sure, we want to do this deal.
It makes all the sense in the world. The only
thing is I need to run it through my legislative process.

Speaker 19 (40:32):
They have to approve it.

Speaker 25 (40:34):
I read two days later that Zelenski's out there saying
I rejected the deal. I told him no way, that
we're not doing that. Well, that's not what happened in
that meeting. So you start to get upset by somebody.
We're trying to help these guys at One of the
points that President made in his messaging is not that
we don't care about Ukraine. But Ukraine is on another continent.
You know, it doesn't directly impact the daily lives of Americans.
We care about it because it has implications for our

(40:55):
allies and ultimately for the world. There should be some
level of gratitude here this.

Speaker 3 (41:01):
There should be now. In two thousand and twenty two,
Biden had issues with the fact that he felt that
Zelensky wasn't grateful, didn't say thank you enough, and essentially
kept demanding. And yet for the most part, nobody talked

(41:22):
about that.

Speaker 25 (41:23):
President Trump's not the kind of person that's going to
sit there and take that. He's very transparent. He's going
to tell you exactly how he feels, and he sent
the message that he's not going to get gained here.
He's willing to work on peace because he cares about
Ukraine and he hopes Zelensky will be a partner in
that and not someone who's out there putting this sort
of counter messaging to try to hustle us in that
regard that that's not going to be productive here.

Speaker 3 (41:45):
No it's not. It's not going to be productive, and
it should be.

Speaker 2 (41:48):
And we've got to look forward and say, how the
hell do we figure this out? How the hell do
we move this forward? What Trump did the other day,
You may not have liked diplomacy in front of the world.
Like I said, I thought the two things happened here.
One of them is it is personal, and we've talked
about that throughout the show.

Speaker 1 (42:07):
The other one is it's a bit of an intervention.

Speaker 3 (42:10):
Dude.

Speaker 1 (42:10):
You're addicted to the stuff, to the money, the whole
nine yards.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
And you're an addict to all the fame, to all
that stuff, and it's time that you start saying thank you,
and it's time that you start to realize, all right,
when is it time to jump off the merry go round?

Speaker 1 (42:28):
Yeah, that's right, Kate.

Speaker 26 (42:29):
So in this conversation, President Biden called President Selensky to
tell him about a roughly one billion dollar package of
additional equipment and weapons for the Ukrainian military coming from
the United States. During the course of the call, President
Zelensky continued. According to a number of officials who we spoke
with who are familiar with the call, Presidents Linsky continued
to talk about the additional equipment and weapons and support

(42:52):
that he and his military needed. According to these officials,
they said that President Biden finally just got frustrated and
lost his temper and told President Zelensky, look, you could
be a little bit more grateful.

Speaker 1 (43:04):
The reason that this story is.

Speaker 26 (43:07):
Interesting to us and it is something that we're reporting
on and officials were speaking to us about, is because
it shows that all these months ago, President Biden already
realized that there was going to be a point where
the American people, members of Congress, where people would start
start potentially pushing back on all these billions and billions
and dollars of you of aid and equipment that the

(43:28):
US has been providing to Ukraine.

Speaker 1 (43:30):
And he knew that the narrative out there.

Speaker 26 (43:33):
Needed to be that the Ukrainian people and President Zelensky
were grateful for it.

Speaker 3 (43:38):
Look, did.

Speaker 2 (43:41):
He say thank you the way that maybe Biden and
Vance wanted him to say thank you? Probably not, and
he should have. And then he went on talking head
shows afterwards and he wined, bitched and moan.

Speaker 3 (43:53):
Not a good look. But it just wasn't Trump.

Speaker 2 (43:57):
Even Biden recognized, dude, America is not going to do
this forever.

Speaker 3 (44:02):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (44:04):
And secondly you could you're asking for more.

Speaker 3 (44:08):
You're like a.

Speaker 2 (44:08):
Kid again an addiction. You're worried about your next had
you like a kid, you get, you get something and
you're like, I can't wait for the next one. Yeah,
and you played with this one yet. Now, I will
say this, Biden made some promises, We're never gonna do
this for you and never gonna do that for you
because they didn't want to escalate it, and then six
months later he.

Speaker 3 (44:27):
Would give it to him.

Speaker 2 (44:28):
Okay, but come on, like I said, this is not
about the Ukrainian people. It's not about those poor s
ob Russians right snatched off the street. Both sides are
snatching folks off the street, making them kill each other

(44:49):
for what. This is not about that. This is about
simply enough is enough? You you guys can fight forever,
You're just not going to do it on our dimes.
So I told I was on a show to present
if you will the other side. I never support Putin.
It's not about supporting Putin. Hell man, them killing Russians

(45:13):
and Russian soldiers. You think people are weeping about that.

Speaker 1 (45:18):
No they're not.

Speaker 2 (45:21):
Nobody's going, oh jeez, they've seen now. Okay, it's kind
of a paper army. It's a paper military. Nobody's terrified
of this. So if he wants to fight in perpetuity,
do it, bro right. If you want to turn down
the intervention and stepping off this merry go round of insanity,
knock yourself out. If that's your goal is to fight forever,

(45:44):
then do it. Just don't do it on our dime.
It's that simple. If you want to go and get
the Europeans to throw all the money in the world
at you so you can fight and then they start
losing soldiers. If that's something you want to do, man,

(46:05):
do it. Go for it. Try to get back all
your stuff, do whatever you need to do. That being said,
I don't want to pay for it. I don't want
to pay for it. I don't want to pay for
your drug addiction if you will. I don't want to
pay for your addiction to the fame. And I think

(46:26):
there's absolutely a massive set of egos there that that's
battling it out. And Trump won that one. And he's right.
He doesn't have the cards, and you're gonna go to
the stronger person first to get the deal done. Always
happens that way in every negotiation. But he is beloved
by everybody. He is this thing, and Europe is looking

(46:48):
because Europe has gone, oh good, he's fighting the Russians.
We don't have to worry about them. Trump's thinking, this
is business man, you get into the way of business.

Speaker 3 (46:55):
Let's cut this thing.

Speaker 1 (46:57):
We got a deal with Russia to get some big
minerals over there.

Speaker 2 (47:00):
We can get them away from China, we can get
them closer to our bosom, away from Iran.

Speaker 3 (47:06):
That'd be a helper, wouldn't it. People don't see it
that way, they don't.

Speaker 2 (47:16):
And the last here we are three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four twenty three at Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 3 (47:20):
Wish your Twitter, tweet at us, text the program.

Speaker 2 (47:24):
A lot of you have text in about this, and
as I've said, this is not about the Ukrainian people.
It's not about the sacrifices. We may have supplied them
all the weapons and then some that being said, they
still had to be the ones to pull the trigger.
They still had to be the ones that got on
the ground and fought. They still had to be the

(47:44):
people that face down the enemy. And they've done a
hell of a job. But enough is enough, and it's
time for them to step away from this nightmare and
try to get back to some peace and living a
normal life and realizing every day you survived, you won,

(48:08):
and at the end of the day, you lost a
little bit of land that you didn't want to lose,
but you survived as a nation.

Speaker 3 (48:14):
So you've won.

Speaker 2 (48:16):

another issue when it comes to war Middle East, talk
about that straight ahead, Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (49:50):
Chad Benson.

Speaker 2 (49:51):
With all the stuff going on in Ukraine, we forget
there are other things happening in the world that are
also unstable and warlike. Because it is a we're talking
about the Middle East, Israel and Hamas.

Speaker 6 (50:03):
The sticking points are really the full withdrawal of all
IDF troops from Gaza and this permanency's fire. Israel has
yet to commit to either of those things. There are
critics who say that NETANYAHUO is really trying to delay
talks to end the war. They're calling this move to
block all aid going into Gaza cheap blackmail. And on

(50:23):
the flip side, we're hearing the Israelis threatening further consequences
if negotiations go nowhere.

Speaker 2 (50:30):
Well they're talking about is the fact that Israel has
said yet no food for you because you won't extend
the seas fire. And as usual, you're not keeping your
side of the bargain, so why should.

Speaker 3 (50:42):
We keep ours.

Speaker 6 (50:43):
We understand, according to the Israelis that this decision was
coordinated with the Trump administration. On the flip side, you're
hearing from aid organizations from the UN that this is
in violation of international laws, but it is an Israeli
tactic to try and pressure Hamas to agree to an
extension of Phase one. And as far as the impact,
I mean, you're going to see millions continuing to struggle.

Speaker 2 (51:06):
Yeah, because there's millions of people that are in crisis
over there because of Hamas. See, at the end of
the day, it's all because of Amas. You can say
all the horrible things you want to say about Israel,
go ahead, this beauty of the country that we live,
and we're allowed to do that. But it's about Hamas.
October seventh changed everything, and it's time they get rid

(51:30):
of them.

Speaker 3 (51:31):
Period.

Speaker 2 (51:31):
Case closed. And by the way, you never talks about, oh,
you know they occupied. You know when they left, when
they weren't occupying anymore, the standard, the living standard throughout
the West Bank and throughout everywhere collapsed.

Speaker 3 (51:48):
Well, they occupied.

Speaker 2 (51:49):
It's about being honest in what we're seeing over there,
which is we've got people that use terror as a business,
because that's what it is.

Speaker 3 (51:57):
It's a business to them.

Speaker 2 (52:00):
And they're continuing to do what they've done forever in
a day, which is lie, lie, lie, and continue to lie.

Speaker 3 (52:07):
And they're going to continue to do that.

Speaker 2 (52:08):
Their fifty nine Israeli hostages still held in Gaza. Ramadan
began Friday night ends March twenty ninth. Passover ends April nineteenth, three, two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show. Is
your Twitter, You could tweet at us, you could text
the program of hearing from all of you right here
on the Chad Benson Show. The new proposals announced that

(52:32):
you would have Hamas release half of the living and
dead hostages at the start of the seven week ceasefire,
and would secure the release of the remaining hostages by
the end if the two sides reaching agreement on a
permanent end of war. If it's always a big if
when it comes to these two and anything in the
Middle East, everything when it comes to this conflict is
a big if. And I've said it over and over again.

(52:55):
This ceasefire is not worth the papers written on. They
couldn't agree to anything last week week in Cairo. They're

The Chat Benson Show.

Speaker 3 (54:44):
What the Hell's going on in Germany again.

Speaker 27 (54:46):
Eyewitnesses saying a man driving a car plowed into a
crowd of people, with injuries being reported. Police responding to
the incident saying a major operation is underway, nowhere yet
on the motive. And of course this comes with tensions
already highd just a few weeks after a similar attack
in Munich, when an Afghan asylum secret driving a car
into people, injuring dozens, killing a mother and her two

(55:08):
year old daughter.

Speaker 3 (55:09):
What a nightmare.

Speaker 2 (55:10):
Another attack in Germany so far and again these numbers
will change.

Speaker 3 (55:17):
One dead, several injured. Who is this person?

Speaker 2 (55:23):
That'll be the question that people will start to ask,
whether or not they'll get those questions asked the way
that most people want some transparency or if somebody is
going to go Nope, we can't tell you this person
is because if we do, if we do, it could
make people feel bad, or make people feel like immigrants
that have come here from other places, or the reason

(55:46):
for this, et cetera, et cetera.

Speaker 3 (55:48):
So we will see what happens with this.

Speaker 2 (55:52):
But yet another incident where somebody decided, Hey, the car
is everybody's easiest weapon and the last here you go,
here you go.

Speaker 3 (56:05):
Nightmare. Nightmare.

Speaker 2 (56:06):
Indeed, speaking of nightmares, if you're not paying attention, what's
going on in Carolina?

Speaker 1 (56:12):
Wildfires are raging.

Speaker 28 (56:14):
Urgent evacuation orders in effect in the Carolinas after multiple
brush and wildfires erupt it threatening homes and businesses. The
Carolina Forests fire near Myrtle Beach doubling in size overnight
to twelve hundred acres and still zero percent contained. More
than thirty agencies and four hundred personnels supporting the firefighting effort.

(56:36):
South Carolina's governor today declaring a state of emergency.

Speaker 2 (56:39):
Yeah, it's a potential nightmare, is it California ask nightmare?
Not at this point, but the weather's not been great,
dry part of the year. You've got plenty of brush
and nastiness that is out there, So there is no
doubt that this thing could get much worse before it
gets back. No word if la is Karen Bass, mayor

(57:03):
or the rest of the crack unit is out there helping.

Speaker 28 (57:06):
Try In North Carolina, evacuations residents saying the effects could
be felt for miles. Oh, you can smell the smoke
all the way in Columbus, With much of the southeast
in moderate drought, dry and windy conditions fueling the fast
moving fires, wind gusts up to forty miles per hour,
prompting the South Carolina Forestry Commission to issue a state

(57:27):
wide burn.

Speaker 3 (57:28):
Band no burning. It's the weather.

Speaker 10 (57:32):
Jed.

Speaker 3 (57:33):
Weather is a n'mary.

Speaker 2 (57:34):
I don't know how this started, but just keeping an
eye on it because we know how bad these things
can be, and they can be bad fast, and depending
on what the weather looks like. I know there's going
to be some rain and stuff in the forecast, but
it's just you know how fast these things go, especially.

Speaker 1 (57:52):
When you've got tons and tons.

Speaker 2 (57:56):
Of stuff that is fuel for this fire, and they've
got plenty of that in certain areas. Speaking of chaos,
he guysn't pay attention this weekend as we run through
a bunch of other stuff that isn't the lunacy of Zelenski.
And then we're going to get back that in a second,
because Zelensky's released a video.

Speaker 1 (58:17):
Dallas cheerleaders. You think cowboy cheerleaders?

Speaker 2 (58:22):
M M think younger generation of cheerleaders, about fifty five
thousand of them and a bunch of people in one place.

Speaker 1 (58:29):
When chaos are ups chaos.

Speaker 29 (58:31):
After a fight at the National Cheerleading competition in downtown Dallas.

Speaker 30 (58:34):
Many saying they thought they heard shots ring out at
Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center.

Speaker 18 (58:38):
There's a gun shots fire.

Speaker 30 (58:43):
Where's this was the aftermath of the incident. Dallas Police
say there was no active shooter. They confirmed there was
a fight and some polls were knocked over, causing panic.

Speaker 29 (58:53):
Now in the commotion and running from the convention center,
some people were trampled.

Speaker 1 (58:58):
Dallas Fire Rescue.

Speaker 29 (58:59):
Says ten people were transported to local hospitals with injuries
ranging from cuts and bruises to fractures.

Speaker 3 (59:06):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 2 (59:08):
The videos are crazy people scattering, running everywhere. And when
you put a lot of people in an area and
then somebody comes out, you know and screams gunfire, gunfires,
something like that, it's it's just at that point in time,
it's every person on their own looking for their kids.

(59:28):
Everybody's running in twenty different directions.

Speaker 31 (59:30):
Imagine fifty eight thousand people pouring out of this building
at one time.

Speaker 28 (59:35):
That's how many people.

Speaker 31 (59:36):
Varsity brands who hosts this competition, says, we're here at
the time of that evacuation. That all started with the
false report of a shooting in the blink of an eye,
a day of children doing what they love most degraded
into chaos and mid reports of a shooting at a
cheer competition, sending tens of thousands running for their lives

(59:59):
through down in town Dallas.

Speaker 32 (01:00:01):
She was really scary.

Speaker 27 (01:00:04):
Everybody from my team just started running all over the place,
started getting scared, crying.

Speaker 31 (01:00:09):
It's really an eye opening moment for everyone, Like you
never think that that's gonna happen until it actually does happen.

Speaker 2 (01:00:15):
But when that happens, I mean that the pictures, the videos,
so people just scattering and everybody's running in all different directions.
And you've got little kids, you got big kids, you
got parents, you got the whole nine years. It was
and you could see, you know, we talk about stuff
goes viral.

Speaker 3 (01:00:31):
What was that kind of thing.

Speaker 1 (01:00:31):
It was like a wave of chaos and all started
with a squabble.

Speaker 31 (01:00:36):
While Dallas Police reported no actual shots were fired, Dallas
Fire Rescue says ten people were taken to the hospital
with injuries caused by the chaotic evacuation.

Speaker 10 (01:00:48):
Oh.

Speaker 5 (01:00:48):
I saw someone get loaded up into an ambulanchailery got trampled.

Speaker 3 (01:00:50):
There were people that were running downstairs falling.

Speaker 24 (01:00:53):
There were as soon as we got out here, there
were people that were running from over here falling down
the hill.

Speaker 5 (01:00:57):
It was it was crazy.

Speaker 31 (01:00:58):
Tanya and Gary captured this image of a woman who
they say they helped after she was knocked to the ground.

Speaker 28 (01:01:05):
I'm an at duty police officer.

Speaker 10 (01:01:06):
I said to me, there's worst security plan and that
somebody need an answer for that, because that was all
they done.

Speaker 3 (01:01:11):
Guards were new.

Speaker 8 (01:01:11):
They told him to empty the building.

Speaker 3 (01:01:14):
Empty the building.

Speaker 2 (01:01:15):
Why well, we heard there was you know, some sort
of gun issue, and that's all you have to say.

Speaker 3 (01:01:22):
I mean, that's all you have to say.

Speaker 2 (01:01:26):
Remember Jaws, Do you remember that when the kids faked
having the shark fin that right, there was kind of
and then everything was chaos. It was the same kind
of thing, but multiply that and people aren't in the water,
so they're running for their lives.

Speaker 3 (01:01:44):
At least that's what they think tonight.

Speaker 31 (01:01:45):
As participants returned to collect personal items left behind in
the rush, there are more questions and concerns about security
with the competition now set to resume tomorrow.

Speaker 33 (01:01:56):
There was zero security. I have a wristband. The only
thing that they looked for was my wristband. I had
a backpack on me. There was nobody checking backpacks to
see what was in our backpacks.

Speaker 1 (01:02:11):
Who knows what anybody was bringing in.

Speaker 33 (01:02:13):
But then tomorrow, I'm supposed to come in and I'm
supposed to have my child, who is traumatized, take the mat.

Speaker 31 (01:02:21):
Just in the last few minutes, Varsity Brands reached out
to us with a statement saying, our commitment to the
safety of our athletes, coaches, and spectators is paramount as
we work with all of the attendees impacted by today's event.
They also told us that while they have adjusted tomorrow's
schedule to allow everyone to compete, that both teams and

(01:02:42):
spectators can reach out for refunds.

Speaker 2 (01:02:46):
There you go, Well, they didn't check anything. Well they
should be checking stuff. That should be like a thing
everywhere you go. We're always checking stuff now, But how
much more do you want them to do? I mean,
not trying to be weird. There was no shooting, So
did you expect shooting the next days? When you expected it?
I didn't, so everybody's okay.

Speaker 3 (01:03:09):
But it just.

Speaker 2 (01:03:11):
Shows you how fast things can go sideways. And it
only takes an instant and for somebody to think of something,
think they saw something, think something happened, and then chaos,
chaos er US three two three, five three eight, twenty four,
twenty three at Chad Benson shows your Twitter tweet at
US text the program. Zelenski did a video already do

(01:03:36):
you want to come back? So you want to talk peacey.

Speaker 20 (01:03:41):
I'm grateful to President Trump for his sincere interest in
our common opportunities and how we can bring real peace together.
It was a long conversation. We discussed many nuances, diplomatic, military, economic,
and President Trump informed me of what Putin had told him.
We believe that America's strength is enough to push Russia
and Putin to piece together with together with all our partners,

(01:04:02):
we'll find out.

Speaker 2 (01:04:04):
Look, Putin has all the cards. Trump was right about
that Putin has the most power. He also has the
most to lose when it comes to this stalemate. There's
no doubt that he wants an offerm and you're gonna
have to negotiate with the one that's got the most

(01:04:24):
power first.

Speaker 3 (01:04:26):
And there's nothing wrong with us getting some of that
money back.

Speaker 2 (01:04:29):
There is nothing wrong with us because with that and
Trump is business, that's where your security is. So this
is going to be interesting over the next couple days
to see how this thing plays itself out. The media,
of course, will always say it's the worst thing ever,
Trump's evil, et cetera, et cetera.

Speaker 3 (01:04:50):
The reality is it's none of those.

Speaker 2 (01:04:52):
Things, and a lot of people, even people on the left,
We're happy to see somebody take a stand and say, hey,
enough is enough. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty
four to twenty three atch. I'd been to show to

bit better.

Speaker 3 (01:06:51):
Way do you hear this story? Because you know what
time it is?

Speaker 2 (01:06:54):
Now it's time for the Chad Benson show Health Watch,
where we watch health but we really don't we participating
even though we should. All right, check this out. Tooth thigh,
what tooth, thigh, tooth and I put them together.

Speaker 3 (01:07:14):
What do you have? Tooth thigh?

Speaker 32 (01:07:15):
So how do you guys feel about ah.

Speaker 35 (01:07:18):
Thursday, Brent Chapman is just days away from a surgery
that could restore the vision he lost two decades ago.

Speaker 32 (01:07:25):
I'm really excited to open on another chapter of my life.

Speaker 35 (01:07:29):
The thirty three year old massage therapist from North Vancouver
has been blind since the age of thirteen, when a
severe reaction to medication put him in a coma and
damaged his corneas.

Speaker 32 (01:07:39):
I think I've had ten cornea transplants now in twenty years.

Speaker 35 (01:07:43):
On Thursday, he's having another procedure at Mount Saint Joseph
Hospital in Vancouver that sounds like science fiction. It's called
tooth and eye surgery.

Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
Excuse me, tooth thigh, tooth an eye surgery.

Speaker 3 (01:08:00):
It's as creepy as it sounds.

Speaker 36 (01:08:02):
In essence, we are trying to really just replace a
clear window on the front of the eye, and the
tooth is the perfect structure to hold a focusing piece
of plastic or a telescope for the patient to see through.

Speaker 35 (01:08:15):
A pair of surgeons who have perfected this very unique
procedure in Australia will remove one of Chapman's canine teeth
and glue a lens inside that tooth.

Speaker 37 (01:08:24):
After we do the harvesting of the tooth, we implant
it into the cheek so it gathers a tissue lining.
In three months time, we remove it from the pocket
in the cheek and sold it onto the front of
the eye.

Speaker 36 (01:08:37):
If we are successful in the surgery, which we all
hope we are, and the patient's retina and nerve at
the back of there are healthy, then they can recover
close to normal vision.

Speaker 3 (01:08:51):
I'm sorry, I was just creeped out by that. When
do you see the pictures?

Speaker 2 (01:08:55):
It's also creepy because it's kind of the creepy thing
you would think it.

Speaker 35 (01:08:59):
Is with an eye clinic at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital
is being funded by the Saint Paul's Hospital Foundation. It's
the first of its kind in Canada.

Speaker 37 (01:09:07):
My job as a surgeon, I'm cutting jaws, breaking faces,
moving and reconstructing faces. But people have a hard time
fathoming what that actually means. So to tell them that
I'm putting a tooth in the front of the eyes
just it's absolutely mind blowing.

Speaker 35 (01:09:19):
Well, his vision should be restored. Chapman's eye will look very.

Speaker 2 (01:09:23):
Different, Yes, because there's bracest ah, jeez jet it is
creepy looking. Well, they put it in your like, you know,
like they show it into your cheek and it's the
whole thing is creepy. And then you're like, well, should
I get a contact? Yes, yes, one hundred percent get
a contact.

Speaker 5 (01:09:41):
It won't look like a normal eye.

Speaker 36 (01:09:43):
It's covered with some buckle tissue from inside the cheek
or the lip, and that will cover the whole structure,
so the eye will look pink with a small dark
circle in the middle.

Speaker 32 (01:09:53):
You take function over appearance, and you know it's just
going to open up so many more doors for me.

Speaker 35 (01:10:02):
For Chapman, it's a real chance at seeing the world
the same way he did before his coma.

Speaker 32 (01:10:07):
There's a lot a lot of things I bucket list
things I want to do once you know I can
see again, and it would mean the world to me, really.

Speaker 3 (01:10:20):
Too high.

Speaker 2 (01:10:22):
Just want you guys to understand it's little tooth high, creepy,
it's a little tooth thigh just I'll put it out there.

Speaker 1 (01:10:31):
It's uncomfortable, it's weird looking.

Speaker 2 (01:10:34):
But would you absolutely, who wouldn't if given the opportunity
to have your site back, not say oh yeah, please
sign me up for that. I mean it's not like, Okay,
it is creepy looking, and I'm sure over time they'll
figure it out.

Speaker 3 (01:10:53):
I just who came up with that? Though? That's my thing.

Speaker 1 (01:10:58):
I was talking a couple of people the other day, like,
who who thought?

Speaker 2 (01:11:02):
You know what, what if we take somebody's tooth and
just put it right in their eye? I'm like, what,
don't ever tell anybody that ever? No, no, no, stay
with me. We'll drill a hole in the tooth and
we'll put a little, you know, like its own little
lens on it and they could see right through it.

Speaker 3 (01:11:24):
What do you think of that?

Speaker 2 (01:11:26):
I think it's creepy, But let's give it a try
so we'll see how this actually works out and if
this is going to become a thing. But yeah, I mean, look,
I'm with the guy. I mean, if you were blind
and you could have something like this, even if it's
just in one.

Speaker 1 (01:11:43):
Eye, would you do it? I think most people absolutely.

Speaker 2 (01:11:47):
Would, cause sight is you know, important, as we all know,
very very important, and the opportunity to have sight is
double important, even if it is your tooth in your eye.
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three

(01:12:09):
at Chad Benson Show. It's your Twitter, your Instagram, all
of the other things right here on the Chad Benson Show.
Coming up our three. You got a little watch trending
more on Zelensky and Trump. Will there be around two?
Is Zelensky ready to give in? Plus we got some

(01:12:34):
elon Musk again, he was on with Rogan and that
kind of sucked all of the.

Speaker 3 (01:12:41):
Air out of everything.

Speaker 2 (01:12:42):
But some of the stuff he talked about when it
came to the doge, A lot of stuff, of course,
has the left up in arms, because that's that's what
they do. They go up in arms and they scream
and they throw a fit. But do they get anything done? Well,
very rarely does any of our politicians seem to get
anything done. We got that bunch of other stuff to
get to. If you're miss it to the show, grab
the podcast. This is the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (01:13:05):
This is the Chad Benson Show. The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (01:13:34):
I'll say it again, and I'll say it again and
again and again and again. Ukraine should do what's best
for Ukraine, period. What's best it's what their leaders think,
Selenski and everybody else. They should do that period. But
I don't want to pay for what's best for Ukraine.

(01:14:00):
That should be Ukraine's issue and Europe's issue. It's their
back doors. It's right there. They should have to flip
the bill and go from there. We have done more
than our share. We have done more than enough. What
I see is a man who has an addiction to

(01:14:24):
a power, who has addiction to money, not so much
that he's taking it spending it, but just all of
the trappings that come with it. And most of all,
has an addiction to the fame, the being the hero,

(01:14:44):
the new Churchill, all of the things. That's the trappings
that he is enjoying Zelensky. And I don't think he
wants to give it up.

Speaker 3 (01:14:58):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:14:59):
Do I think he loves his Cory Absolutely? Do I
think that he wants his country to be powerful and
strong and and and and stand strong?

Speaker 5 (01:15:08):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (01:15:08):
One hundred per.

Speaker 2 (01:15:12):
Do I think he wants to give up all of
that stuff that is currently flying right at him.

Speaker 1 (01:15:21):
No, no, I don't. I don't think that for a moment.

Speaker 2 (01:15:24):
I think he's enjoying all of the stuff, the trappings
that come with being Zelenski right now, the rock star attitude,
the new Churchill, right, he's part U two part Churchill.

Speaker 3 (01:15:38):
The look, all of the things. Do I think that.

Speaker 2 (01:15:44):
That that putin Is this somehow great wonderful leader?

Speaker 3 (01:15:49):
No, no, I.

Speaker 2 (01:15:50):
Don't think that for an instant. I think he is
a dictator. You know, I was talking uh with several
people over the weekend also, you know, hanging out with
the chicks on the right today about this. And it's
not that America doesn't care for the Ukrainian people. It's

(01:16:11):
not that we don't want them to survive and be strong,
it's not that we want them to die. It's just,
at some point in time you have to realize all
we are doing is throwing good money after good money,
after good money after good money. And now that's making
the money we're making and throwing out there, well it isn't.

(01:16:33):
It didn't good anymore. It's becoming less and less. It's
more expensive for us in the future, and it's worth
less and less. Now, that's weird, right, Absolutely, it's.

Speaker 3 (01:16:46):
Time to move on. It's time to move on.

Speaker 2 (01:16:51):
Doesn't mean we don't have a partnership, doesn't we we
don't help them, but helping them comes in many ways.
And funding a war that will continue to kill tens
of thousands and hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians and Russians
while really we're gonna end up in the same place

(01:17:13):
that we were probably gonna end up a year and
a half two years ago, is ridiculous. And it's time
now that we move on. Period case closed, end of story.
Everybody can get out there and they can bitch, wine
and moan, and they could say this, and they could
say that, here's the reality of it. Trump did what

(01:17:34):
was best for America on Friday, and I applaud him
for that. Could it have been done quietly, Yeah, probably,
But in reality, this is the way it was done.

Speaker 1 (01:17:50):
He wanted the media there. Trump wanted the media there.

Speaker 2 (01:17:53):
What was supposed to be then a closed door meeting
turned out to be forty five minutes of what was
calm conversation that ended in sixteen minutes of uprating of
a person who was pushing and pushing, and then at
times seemed to be, hey, well you're not going to

(01:18:13):
feel it now, but you can feel it one day
if you don't get this stuff together. And that is
not something that went over well, nor should it have.
We've been there from the beginning. Hell, many of us
have put little flags on our Facebook and Twitter and whatnot.
We've We've hoped and prayed, We've done all the stuff

(01:18:34):
because Putin's evil and bad, and I'm not disputing any
of those things.

Speaker 3 (01:18:38):
Although I don't put flags on anything.

Speaker 2 (01:18:41):
I show my support for America and that's it.

Speaker 3 (01:18:44):
Very rarely I show a support for anything else.

Speaker 2 (01:18:48):
But now what Now what we could show the support,
We could do all those kinds of things. But man,
nobody thought this is going to be three years in right,
You become that dude wants to barrow somebody's car, a
few bocks here and there, and next thing you know,
you got a full blown addiction and you're living off
everybody else's dime, and in doing so, eventually the teat

(01:19:13):
runs dry, and that has happened.

Speaker 25 (01:19:16):
Frankly, I was personally very upset because we had a
conversation with President Zelenski, the vice president, and I to
two three of US, and we discussed this issue about
the mineral rights, and we explained to them, look, we
want to be in joint venture with you, not because
we're trying to steal from your country, but because we
think that's actually a security guarantee. If we're your partner
in an important economic endeavor, we get to get paid

(01:19:37):
back some of the money the taxpayers have given close
to two hundred billion dollars. And it also now we
have a vested interest in the security of Ukraine.

Speaker 19 (01:19:46):
And he said, sure, we want to do this deal.

Speaker 2 (01:19:49):
Sure, sure, we want to do this deal. That's what
he said. He said it on a few occasions to
a few different people. But how long that last?

Speaker 25 (01:20:00):
And he said, sure, we want to do this deal.
It makes all the sense in the world. The only
thing is I need to run it through my legislative process.
They have to approve it. I read two days later
that Zelenski's out there saying I rejected the deal.

Speaker 19 (01:20:11):
I told him no way, that we're not doing that.

Speaker 25 (01:20:13):
Well, that's not what happened in that meeting. So you
start to get upset by somebody. We're trying to help
these guys. One of the points that President made in
his messaging is not that we don't care about Ukraine.
But Ukraine is on another continent. You know, it doesn't
directly impact the daily lives of Americans. We care about
it because it has implications for our allies and ultimately
for the world. There should be some level of gratitude

(01:20:33):
here about this.

Speaker 2 (01:20:35):
Some level of gratitude some and that was the big battle.
You don't say thank you enough. You haven't said thank
you enough. You haven't been you know, you haven't been
nearly as grateful as you should have been.

Speaker 25 (01:20:48):
President Trump's not the kind of person that's going to
sit there and take that. He's very transparent. He's going
to tell you exactly how he feels. And he sent
the message that he's not going to get gained here.
He's willing to work on peace because he cares about Ukraine.
Zelensky will be a partner in that and not someone
who's out there putting the sort of counter messaging to
try to hustle us in that regard that that's not
going to be productive here.

Speaker 3 (01:21:09):
No, it's not.

Speaker 2 (01:21:11):
And during that interview, Rubio also brought up the fact
that this is not the first time that he's had
some issues Zelenski with our leaders case in points twenty
twenty two. That is three years ago. We'll call it
two and a half years ago, Zelenski and Biden.

Speaker 1 (01:21:29):
Yeah, that's right, Kate.

Speaker 26 (01:21:30):
So, in this conversation, President Biden called President Zelensky to
tell him about a roughly one billion dollar package of
additional equipment and weapons for the Ukrainian military coming from
the United States. During the course of the call, president
Zelensky continued. According to a number officials who we spoke
with who are familiar with the call, president Zelensky continued
to talk about the additional equipment and weapons and support

(01:21:52):
that he and his military needed.

Speaker 1 (01:21:55):
According to these officials, they said.

Speaker 26 (01:21:56):
That President Biden finally just got frustrated and lost his
temper and told President Zelensky, look, you could be a
little bit more grateful.

Speaker 1 (01:22:05):
The reason that this story is.

Speaker 26 (01:22:08):
Interesting to us and it is something that we're reporting
on and officials are speaking to us about, is because
it shows that all these months ago, President Biden already
realized that there was going to be a point where
the American people, members of Congress, where people would start
start potentially pushing back on all these billions and billions
and dollars of you of aid and equipment that the US.

Speaker 1 (01:22:29):
Has been providing to Ukraine.

Speaker 26 (01:22:31):
And he knew that the narrative out there needed to
be that the Ukrainian people and President Zelensky were grateful
for it.

Speaker 2 (01:22:38):
But he never acted grateful, and the other day he
wasn't grateful. It didn't show even people who cannot stand Trump,
who were honest to go, yeah, that was not a
good look, right, that was not a good look. All
he had to do would show up, bring a pen,
sign something, smile and bounce.

Speaker 3 (01:22:59):
That was it.

Speaker 1 (01:23:00):
Didn't have to do anything else, not a damn thing.

Speaker 2 (01:23:04):
Show up, smile, shake everybody's hand, eat lunch, and go.

Speaker 19 (01:23:13):
That was it.

Speaker 3 (01:23:14):
But he couldn't.

Speaker 1 (01:23:16):
He couldn't do it, and because of that it cost him.

Speaker 3 (01:23:21):
It did.

Speaker 2 (01:23:23):
By the way, if you want to know how Americans
feel about Ukraine and the support, at one time, it
was huge.

Speaker 3 (01:23:29):
Now not what.

Speaker 4 (01:23:30):
It was, Holy Toledo, look at this trend line here.
US support for Ukraine is too much. Back when the
war began, back in February of twenty twenty two, it
was just seven percent up like a rocket ship, my goodness.
Up now in February of twenty twenty five to forty
one percent, and the clear majority of Republicans, and of
course Republicans are in charge of the US government. Now

(01:23:52):
sixty two percent of Republicans say that the US support
for Ukraine is too much.

Speaker 1 (01:23:57):
What a difference from just three years ago.

Speaker 4 (01:23:59):
I can remember all those backyards in the United States
with there's Ukrainian flags. Far few of them today, as
Americans' opinions on Ukraine have changed dramatically.

Speaker 3 (01:24:08):
Yes, they have as well as Selenski. I look at him.

Speaker 2 (01:24:11):
Look, do I think he's a dictator the way that
we think of dictators as somebody like Putin, who's willing
to have you oft, who's willing to you know? I
don't think of any of those things. I think of
none of I don't think of him that way. Do
I think he is power hungry. I think he's as
much celebrity hungry as he is the power. I think
he likes the trappings of all of the things that

(01:24:34):
come with this. I think that's a big deal. He's
got seduced by it. I mean, he is the second
coming in some people's mind of the likes of Church
Hill and all of that stuff. And because of that
there is a sense, Hey, is this guy really in

(01:24:55):
it for his country or is he in it for
other things?

Speaker 3 (01:25:00):
Those are fair questions.

But I just I just don't like the way he

Speaker 1 (01:30:00):
I get it.

Speaker 3 (01:30:00):
A lot of people don't like the way he handled it.

Speaker 2 (01:30:02):
I've said this, I'm not saying, and this is what
I talked to several people about this, who, by the way,
mostly can't stand Trump said not saying what he said
was wrong. It was where he said it, because when
you handle di plombacy like that, you do it in
front of everybody.

Speaker 3 (01:30:21):
But I said that wasn't as much for Zelensky as
it was.

Speaker 2 (01:31:23):
Dog Alert, DOGE Alert, I repeat DOJ Alert. Time to
find out who's next on the DOGE shopping block.

Speaker 38 (01:31:31):
P one areas that has been severely cut. Is the
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration NOAH for short. The agency
forecast severe weather emergencies across the country. We hear a
lot from them every hurricane season, and their forecasts save
lives with US Now. Is Tom Dilberto, former public affairs
specialists and climate scientists at Noah's Office of Communications. He

(01:31:53):
was laid off last week. We're sorry for what you're
going through. How'd you find out you were getting fired?

Speaker 8 (01:31:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 24 (01:31:59):
I found out on last Thursday. I got a boilerplate
email about three forty five pm that kind of followed
that the OPM directives that said that I'm a probationary
employee so I can be assessed and that my skills
and abilities no longer met the agency's need, which is ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (01:32:19):
Totally ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (01:32:20):
I mean you, you are the most integral part of
all that goes on at Noah. Noah can't operate without you.
I think we all understand your brilliance and for that
we thank.

Speaker 3 (01:32:30):
You for your for your service. Continue, sir.

Speaker 38 (01:32:33):
You say that the cuts will actually end up costing money?

Speaker 1 (01:32:36):
How Yeah?

Speaker 24 (01:32:37):
So Noah has been well known that a dollar into
Noah leads to there being many more dollars coming out
because of just exactly what Noah does. Noah make sure
that people and places and communities and buildings don't suffer
disasters as strongly as the otherwise would. Noah is in
charge of making sure that fishery industry is as healthy

(01:33:00):
as could possibly be it's also in charge of making
sure coastal areas are not as impacted by erosion and
sea level rise. So by basically getting rid of these
things or making it more difficult for NOAH to do
its job, you're basically going to cause there to be
more money being spent and more damages being felt than
otherwise happening.

Speaker 2 (01:33:18):
Okay, so we should give you because do you lessen hurricanes?
We already know that there's all this And by the way,
there's fourteen thousand people that work for Noah. They're looking
like eight hundred jobs. Like everybody's got to feel it.
I worked for a company a few years ago and
there were several like stations across the nation, and they

(01:33:44):
came to everybody and they said, look, we can all
take a little bit of a cut. You know, maybe
we could kind of spread it out or the ones
that are struggling, which we can basically have a fire
cell at the other places. And everybody agreed, you know what,
no let's let's do what we can. But everybody had
to do their heart. Still, some people lost their jobs,
but rather than everybody in one agency lose their gig,

(01:34:07):
it was kind of across the board. Everybody lost a
little bit, and that's it. Nobody said that you take
a pay cut. Well, this guy lost his gig. I
know again, I don't see anybody from Starbucks who got
laid off getting questioned by John Breman. Hey man, nobody's
out there doing it, John Burdiman, weren't you out there
talking to the guys that got let go?

Speaker 1 (01:34:28):
Anybody anybody know?

Speaker 3 (01:34:29):
Why?

Speaker 1 (01:34:29):
Oh, because it's not politically.

Speaker 2 (01:34:33):
The right thing to do, because that was based in
dollars and cents, and this is based strictly on meanness.

Speaker 38 (01:34:39):
Talk to us about the agency and the impact that
these cuts will have. I cover hurricanes every year, and
I know how people depend on these forecasts, But what
will the cuts, How will the cuts impact that?

Speaker 3 (01:34:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 24 (01:34:52):
Noah, it stands for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. So
if you like the oceans, or you are impacted by
the weather in any sort of way, really means everybody,
you're going to be impacted by this. A ton of
people got fired. That's basically going to lead to a
short staffed agency that was already short staff now trying
to do more with less, and that is just asking
for a disaster to happen. We know extreme weather's going

(01:35:15):
to happen, hurricanes, tornadoes, snowstorms, and now we're asking an
agency to basically try and forecast these make the public
aware of the impacts.

Speaker 1 (01:35:25):
But do it with less people.

Speaker 24 (01:35:26):
You're just asking for a mistake to happen. You're asking
for burnout to occur. And it's just pointless when you
look at the importance of what Noah does.

Speaker 2 (01:35:35):
I'm not saying no it's not important. Of course Noah
is important, But for all of the people that work
there is there areas that may be cut. Think those
are fair to ask, are there some areas that maybe
we can thin the herd?

Speaker 3 (01:35:55):
We have technology? No, it's all about It's all about him.

Speaker 2 (01:35:59):
He wants some massive contracts, he wants all of these things,
he wants this, he wants that. It's all about him,
firing and replacing him with their own people.

Speaker 38 (01:36:06):
Why do you think Noah was targeted.

Speaker 24 (01:36:08):
I think this is a clear across the board attack
on science. They don't like necessarily what Noah does as
it relates to climate change, and they don't like necessarily
the fact that we help people. Because of the fact
that we just help people, we have no ulterior motives
at Noah when we're trying to help the American public.
At no point at Noah has anyone ever said we're

(01:36:28):
not going to give important information, data and resources to
a community based on who that community voted for.

Speaker 1 (01:36:34):
But we do know someone.

Speaker 24 (01:36:36):
Has done that. The President has done that when it's
related to wildfires out in California. So I think there's
a lot of issues with just the fact that we
help others purely because we want to help others and
because we're trying to help people deal with increasing extremes
as it relates to climate change.

Speaker 3 (01:36:52):
So it's about climate change.

Speaker 1 (01:36:53):
Everything's about climate change.

Speaker 3 (01:36:55):
It's all climate change.

Speaker 2 (01:36:57):
Chat, everything's climate change. You gotta understand that. The reason
things are just ruggling in this world's climate change. The
reason things are continuing to struggle in this world's climate change,
the reason we don't have enough money to pay for
everything climate The putin climate change. This is why he
went straight over there and he said, you guys, climate change,
and then he fought, that's why they're having the war.

Speaker 3 (01:37:17):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (01:37:19):
More from Noah.

Speaker 38 (01:37:20):
Scientist guy, you're going to protest today in front of
the Noah Building, what message do you want to send,
what do you hope to accomplish.

Speaker 24 (01:37:28):
I think it's important for people to know just how
integral Noah is into literally everything that they do. The
forecasters at CNN are really great forecasters, but they're utilizing
Noah data all the time, whether they're talking about observations,
whether they're talking about who can determine whether a tornado
is an EF two or ocean impacts or hurricanes. And

(01:37:49):
I just want people to know that when it comes
to who cares about the American public, it's federal workers.

Speaker 1 (01:37:54):
We do. Federal workers care.

Speaker 24 (01:37:56):
So deeply about the American public because it's all we've
wanted to do since your kids growing up. I want
to be a meteorologist when I was eight years old,
and I was able to live out that dream. And
I want the American public to know that Noah is
still going to try and do everything they can to
make sure that you're safe. But now we're having an
issue where they're gonna have to do it with one hand,
time behind their back.

Speaker 2 (01:38:16):
Really, what if technology made everything easier? No, it's not
the same, Chad, it's not the same. Just want you
guys to know we do it for you.

Speaker 3 (01:38:26):
You get paid. No, no, we do it for you.

Speaker 2 (01:38:28):
So if it was a volunteer only job with a
stipend of one thousand dollars a month and shared housing,
you guys.

Speaker 3 (01:38:35):
Would do that.

Speaker 2 (01:38:37):
No, No, we wouldn't. Okay, So you're not just doing
it for America. I just want to make sure. I
like to sacrifice that you guys make for six figure
so hours is tremendous.

Speaker 38 (01:38:47):
Well, what do you just give me a sense of
what this next hurricane season will be like with these cuts?

Speaker 24 (01:38:53):
So they were firing at the Aircraft Operations Center at
Noah in Lakeland, Florida. That's where the hurricane hunters are.
I believe the flight director was fired from AOC. There
are technicians fired, people who are engineers as well.

Speaker 1 (01:39:09):
So we know every.

Speaker 24 (01:39:11):
Single year sometimes those hurrikind of airplanes sometimes break down
or need a replace for part that's going to be
harder to fix. Now we have less people to do that.
We don't have the ability necessary to fly all the
planes twenty four to seven than we did before. We're
also looking at just in general, more stress on the
National Weather Service. Who are the folks who make these forecasts?

(01:39:31):
And we know there are firings across whether forecast offices
across the United States, across the Gulf of Mexico as well.
So basically, you're taking a situation that's already fraught hurricane
season that's so important. We always see the impacts of
this every single year. And now you're saying, oh, let's
tinker with this. That's a horrible idea. In no world
does that make anybody safer.

Speaker 2 (01:39:52):
By the way, you just said, Golf of America, you
are never getting your job back, because I want to
point that out, never getting your job back, keeping it
the spirit of insanity. Elon Musk was on with Rogan.
Some stuff he said was very fascinating. Some of it
was the usual, you know, bizarre Elon stuff. But who

(01:40:13):
do you go to when you talk about Social Security, Medicare,
Medicaid cuts that might be cuts, you know what I'm
talking about? You got to go right to the burn
dog Bernie Sanders when talking about this, he was on.

Speaker 3 (01:40:27):
Talking about all this kind of stuff. Christin, let me
tell you something. It's awful, horrible, worst thing ever. Elon's
a bazillion that's how he starts it every time.

Speaker 5 (01:40:35):
Yes, we do.

Speaker 18 (01:40:36):
Well, let me ask you about social Security, and you
raise Elon Musk, Senator, So let me follow up with
you on this very point, because he's made some very
pointed comments about Social Security. I referenced it earlier in
the broadcast. This was to Joe Rogan. I'd like you
to hear it and get your reaction. On the other side, take.

Speaker 17 (01:40:53):
A look, social Security is the biggest Ponzi scheme of
all time. Basically, people are living way longer than expected,
and there are a few babies being born, so you
have more people who are retired and that live for
a long time and get retirement payments, so the future obligations,
so have a bad The financial situation is right now

(01:41:18):
for the federal government will be much worse in the future, Senator.

Speaker 18 (01:41:21):
President Trump says he's not going to touch Social Security.
Elon Musk calls it a Ponzi scheme.

Speaker 1 (01:41:26):
Do you agree?

Speaker 3 (01:41:28):
Now, how would you answer this?

Speaker 5 (01:41:31):
Do you agree?

Speaker 2 (01:41:32):
Well, the only answer is he's the richest person in
the wide world.

Speaker 5 (01:41:36):
Now, I think the wealthiest guy in the world just
said is totally outrageous. That's a hell of a Ponzi scheme.
When for the last eighty years social Security has paid
out every nickel owed to every eligible American. Quite a
Ponzi scheme. What is, in fact a problem is that

(01:41:56):
if we don't make reforms and improve the funding mechan
as a in the next nine years, the Social Security
Trust Fund, which provides about twenty percent of the funding,
will go broke. So what we have got to do,
and I think most Americans agree, and I've just introduced
legislation to do that, is you lift the cap on

(01:42:16):
taxable income. Right now, musk worth four hundred billion contributes
the same amount into the Social Security Trust Fund as
somebody making one hundred and seventy million.

Speaker 3 (01:42:27):
Is that a lot. I'm sure it is. It's the
most tax person in history. Not that it matters.

Speaker 2 (01:42:31):
I mean, I'm just talking about yearly. I don't know
what over time looks like. I'm sure he pays quite
a bit. But it's always this is it? Is it
a Posi scheme?

Speaker 8 (01:42:40):
Well?

Speaker 3 (01:42:40):
How do poseise games work?

Speaker 2 (01:42:42):
I pay into something, you guarantee me X, okay, so so, so.

Speaker 3 (01:42:48):
You're guarantee me that.

Speaker 2 (01:42:50):
Then you take from the next person and you give
me X, and you promise them the same. And eventually
what happens is it becomes too hard to keep up
those promises.

Speaker 3 (01:43:03):
I think we're at those things.

Speaker 2 (01:43:05):
Considering what we owe debt wise is probably double to
the thirty six trillion, So we're about seventy two trillion
because of all of the promises made.

Speaker 5 (01:43:20):
If you lift that cop we can extend the solvency
of Social Security for seventy five years, and you can
raise benefits Kristen. Right now in AMERICAUP half of elderly
people are trying to get by on thirty thousand a year,
twenty two percent on fifteen thousand dollars a year. We've
got to raise social Security benefits. We've got to expand

(01:43:43):
medicare to include hearing, dental, and vision, not go after
these programs which are so important to millions of our seniors.

Speaker 2 (01:43:52):
Even there, it's a perfect example of we need to
get more money from them. Let's tax the hell out
of them. Let's do that. Oh and by the way,
once we get the more money to make it solvent again,
let's give more money away. But corporations are greedy, are they?
Is government greedy?

Speaker 10 (01:44:10):
No?

Speaker 21 (01:44:10):
It's alltruistic if somebody's doing it, because if they love

hope people remember me as someone who tried to do
good work.

Speaker 2 (01:46:37):
He did great work. He was amazing. There was no
doubt about that. Hadn't worked for a long time, twenty years.
I was right, you thought, are you sure it's been
twenty It's been twenty years. Over twenty years. It's twenty
one now that he had worked. So it's been a
long time since he had been in front of a
camera or even behind a camera, anywhere near a camera.

Speaker 3 (01:46:58):
They just let it very cool, quiet life.

Speaker 2 (01:47:00):
And when you think about all the actors and actresses
that are currently working well into their seven's eighties, look
at Clint Eastwood into their nineties. He decided I'm gonna
shut it down and he did. Man, he was Oscars were.

Speaker 3 (01:47:15):
Two when he was born.

Speaker 2 (01:47:17):
Speaking of the Oscars last night, I just want to
toot my own horn.

Speaker 1 (01:47:20):
