Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chad Benson Show on your Mark Get set Terrify
Today's Today. You guys excited. I couldn't sleep last night.
I was like, oh my god, Tariff Claus is coming.
We're going to be manufacturing like there's nobody's business starting today.
I'm waiting for the whistle to go off at the factory.

(00:33):
It's not happening. You promised, sir, You promised.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
If you wanted to bring in a product from China
to the United States, you'll likely having to have to
pay more than double the cost of that good because
of that one hundred and four percent tariff.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
This is, of course, not just China, though.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
All these tariffs will be paid to US Customs and
Border Protection.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
They say they're prepared.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Now to collect these terraffs from goods that come in
from eighty six different trade partners.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Eighty six different trade partners. Do you want to know
when this is going to affect you? I would like
to when you go to the store and you realize,
oh my god, this is more expensive than it was
the other day, that's when it affects you. I know
it sounds crazy, but through science AI a bunch of

(01:24):
other stuff that I've been able to put together. Working
with some of the top people on the planet, we
have come to the conclusion, and it's being peer reviewed

(01:45):
right now, that if you go to the store and
you purchase something today, tomorrow, in the coming days, and
it was less expensive last week, and it's more expensive
this week, and in some case this is more expensive
by more than just a you know, penny here, penny there,

(02:06):
then then that'll affect you. So that was You're welcome.
That's what I'm trying to say. I didn't even raise
money for that.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
We do expect in the immediate future the areas where
you're likely going to see some price increases will be
on electronics and clothing. But make no mistake, businesses big
and small that import products from around the world are.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
About to be impacted right away, right away. Are you
bracing for it? I am bracing for it, Chad. I
don't think you know this, but I have my tariff
helmet on just in case it gets out of control.
Trump is doing what Trump does. He is not backing down,

(02:44):
period case close, end of story. He's coming hard right now.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
China's paying a one hundred and four percent think of it,
one hundred and four percent. Now it sounds ridiculous, but
they charged us for many items one hundred percent, hundred
and twenty five percent, Many countries have They've ripped us
off left and right.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
But now it's our turn to do the ripping. Now
it's our turn. It's gonna be great, it's gonna be
the best. We're gonna get them. I get the China thing.
Some of the other stuff I don't get.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
But what are you gonna do? Right like this? This
is what he wants to do. He has this sense
that and the tariffs with China, it's about global power.
For lack of a better term, this is a pissing contest.
Is that scientific?

Speaker 5 (03:39):
It is?

Speaker 1 (03:40):
It is? It's actually the Latin name for this. For
everybody else, I'm not sure. And I have this debate
every day on my local show, and it's kind of
funny watching everybody argue, and tell me what an idiot
I am. If you don't understand we're bringing terriffs, you're

(04:02):
gonna help us bring back manufacturing. Kids are going to
be able to get a job, they're going to live
better than they've ever lived before.

Speaker 6 (04:08):
We are on the verge now because the President Trump's
strength and leadership of fixing our entire global trading system.
This is an astonishing fact that you know that we
have a fifty billion dollar trade deficit with Japan alone automobiles.
Here's the country we protect, here's the country that we defend.
Here's a country that's an ally and partner of the
United States. Why is it that we have a fifty

(04:30):
billion dollar automobile deficit with Japan and another fifty billion
dollar automobile deficit with South Korea.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Oh my god, no way. It must be the giant
tariffs they put on our vehicles. Since nineteen seventy eight,
Japan ter free on our vehicles. When it comes to
South Korea, We've got a US Korea Free Trade agreement.
They eliminated tariffs in the automobiles. Initially South Korea reduces

(05:00):
tears from eight to four percent, and now it's eliminated.
They don't buy our vehicles because our vehicles aren't made
for their country. They prefer their vehicles more cost effective
and what you'd be surprised. And I was talking to
somebody about this last night, having lived in you know,

(05:22):
people talking about there's no Forde. We don't sell our
cars over there. Yeah, we do we just don't sell
the cars that we see here you're driving in F
one fifty. I lived in Little Camberly in Surrey, which
is a modern town, right, and you know I lived
there on and off for a decade. You couldn't get
an F one fifty down the street. Was it gonna happen?

(05:47):
But I had my little Ford Fiesta zipping around everywhere.
Escorts were very popular. But it's a different kind like
this thought process that it's because we consume because our
money stronger, are hour you and I, our economy is
a thousand times better.

Speaker 7 (06:07):
So this thought that we're gonna go out exports the
imports this then with God, we've got a trade deficit
with them. Well then just say you guys can't sell
your cars here and all of a sudden we won't
have a trade deficit. Oh that's not very no, because
we like the cars.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
We like the Hyundais and we like the you know, Toyota,
and we like those cars, and I have a problem
with those. We consume more because we had the opportunity
consume more. If there wasn't a need for it, then
they wouldn't be sending them here and we wouldn't be

(06:44):
buying them. If we weren't buying them, trust me, those
deficits you see would go away. And we have a
service surplus, which is our trade of services. So you
have the goods, right, That's where we're always in a
situation where we're you know, we're buying more crap. But

(07:07):
on the other side of it, we have service trade.
So you have goods and service and with both of
those nations we have a surplus. We are exporting more
of our services. What kind of services, software, media, licensing,
tourism is one of the big things. Consulting, legal advertising,

(07:29):
all of those things are part of the economy. It's
a different kind of goods and we have a surplus there. Interesting, right, Interesting,
Kevin O'Leary talk to us about China. This is the
goods battle, But as I said earlier, this is the

(07:51):
pissing match. It's much different. It's much different than the
battle that's going on with our friends, our acquaintances, if
you will. This is a much different situation because of
the want for global dominance that China is trying in

(08:16):
every way, shape or form to do and to.

Speaker 8 (08:19):
Push one hundred and four percent tariffs in China are
not enough. I'm advocating four hundred percent. I do business
in China. They don't play by the rules. They've been
in the WTO for decades. They have never abided by
any of the rules they agreed to when they came
in for decades. They cheat, they steal, they steal ip
I can't litigate in their courts. They take products, technology,

(08:41):
they steal it, they manufacture it and sell it back.

Speaker 9 (08:43):
Here never has an administry.

Speaker 8 (08:46):
And four, I want Chi on an airplane to Washington
to level the playing.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
Field, but they're not going to. And he's right, but
we've allowed that because we and it's not just it's
the World Trade Organizations allowed that. Everybody knows what they do.
So if you don't know, you go set up a
company today in China. I've got a couple of friends
who've done this and it is crazy. Essentially, they go,

(09:14):
all right, give us all the plans of what you're
looking to do, and we can see if we can
make this happen. And my buddy's like, literally, they'll go
in the other room, but let's photocopy everything. They say,
all right, we're going to take a look at it,
and then across the street, your product's opening up with
something new, cheaper, without the name brand and the way

(09:37):
it goes. They steal ip all the time. And when
they're not stealing it from us, going over there trying
to produce it in mass at a cheaper level, they're
trying to do what steal it here, hacking in, getting
into our colleges, trying to steal all kinds of innovation.
That's not very nice. No, that's honesty, and it's not

(10:00):
just us. If we're going to have a trade battle,
it's got to be everybody who says, hey, you know what.
And that's the one thing I think Trump I'm hoping
he's trying to do I could be wrong, is that
he's going out there to all of these countries and saying, look,
they're screwing us. They want to dominate the world, they
want to destroy everything that we believe in. So get

(10:24):
on board with us. We'll get rid of all these tariffs,
and let's put pressure on them to start playing by
the rules.

Speaker 9 (10:33):
It says not about tariffs anymore.

Speaker 8 (10:35):
Nobody has taken on China yet, not the Europeans, no
administration for decades. As someone who actually does business there,
I've had enough. I speak for millions of Americans who
have ip that have been stolen by the Chinese. I
have nothing against the Chinese people. They've brought great literacy, art,

(10:55):
and tech to the world. The government cheats and and
finally an administration.

Speaker 9 (11:02):
You may not like Trump, you may not like his
style or his rhetoric.

Speaker 8 (11:06):
Finally an administration that says enough, four hundred percent tariffs
tomorrow morning.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Amen. And I understand that seems like a lot. But
this again, is not about terrorists. And I've been saying
that for a while. When it comes to China, everybody
else is all a negotiation tool. This is all pressure
in certain ways for a lot of different things. But
for China, this is a mono amano. Let's do this.

(11:37):
You've grown. It's time now for us to maybe say, Hey,
you want to live your world the way you want
to live it, and you want the rest of the
world to capitulate. We think our way is better. So
if you want to do this, let's do it. Three two, three, five, three, eight,

Speaker 11 (13:11):
We need Kamala Harris right now, And we should have
had Kamala Harris right now, and if you agree, give
this post a like.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Right now, we have a complete buffoon in.

Speaker 12 (13:20):
The White House.

Speaker 11 (13:20):
She would not have hired a bunch of rubes and
idiots who would have cared about what happened. She would
have cared about the American people, and she would have
cared about keeping you safe. The only thing Donald Trump
cared about was keeping himself out of prison, and the
American people graciously allowed him to do that by voting
him in for a second term. So this revenge to
her that now has all these text messages and has

(13:41):
put the United States at risk for further issues, and
future issues would never have occurred under Kamala Harris.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
I guarantee it, really, you guarantee it. And by the way,
it didn't bought us at risk. This is insane. You
know those guys used signal to put it as at risk.
Explained to explain that to me, How is that with
the hoot He's gonna go, oh my god, we got there,
We got their text messages. We could launch our attack

(14:09):
at any given moment. We just have to get there.
Are there any flights leaving? There's not a man. We
were so close, so close, I love crazy. It makes
me laugh. Yesterday, so, as we've talked about here on
the program, Trump's gonna and the administration who spent a

(14:29):
lot of time in the courtrooms battling many of his
executive orders in the lawsuits coming and there are a
few out there federal workers, right, So he's canned a
lot of federal workers. They went to court and guess what,
some of them probationary. Yeah, you're still canned.

Speaker 13 (14:50):
A federal district court judge put a hold on those
said the Trump administration need to reinstate those workers, that
it was likely illegal the way that they were fired.
But today the Supreme Court reversed that decision.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
Yeah, they said, now no, you could take your probationary right,
your ask could be fired.

Speaker 13 (15:07):
The judges basically at the lower court never questioned the
government's power to fire these workers.

Speaker 9 (15:13):
It was just how it was done.

Speaker 13 (15:14):
But the Supreme Court today said, actually, these labor unions
don't have standing to even take on that challenge. They
said that these groups had not shown enough evidence that
they are directly harmed to be able to bring this case.
And so for now, even as the litigation moves forward,
these workers, we'll be off the job effective immediately going forward.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
There you go, you're fired. Fired. It was how they
did it. We're sorry. Three two, three, five, twenty four
to twenty three at Jeff Benston's show, is your ex
and your insta ready on the Jet Benson Show. But
you're out of there. And remember Clinton and Gore before

(15:55):
he invented the internet, they fired what three hundred and
seventy thousand federal workers, most of Themtionary. Meanwhile, in Texas,
a battle of giants. Really, eh, it depends politics, I guess,
Ken Paxton, John Cornyn, the battle is beginning for Senate.

(16:18):
Somebody's getting primary.

Speaker 14 (16:20):
Baby, I'm announcing that I'm running for US Senate against
John Corner, who apparently is running again for his fifth term,
which would put in there three decades. It's definitely timed
for a change in Texas. We have another great US Senator,
Ted Cruz, and it's time we have another great senator
that will actually stand up and fight for Republican values,
fight for the values of the people of Texas, and

(16:41):
also support Trump Donald Trump in the areas that he's
focused on in a very significant way.

Speaker 9 (16:46):
And that's what I plan on doing.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Ken Paxton right there announcing he's running for Senna's the
age of Texas. Those who are not keeping score, the
big supporter of Trump, John Cornyn big support or trumpet
not big enough, right, Sometimes you got to show how
Maggie you are comparatively and John you're not mag enough apparently,

(17:08):
And this will be a snapshot in some ways of
I think the divide in the Republican Party, in the
battle for MAGA going forward in the populism or old
school conservatism very interesting. If you're missing of the show,
we always say, shame on you. Grab the podcast.

Speaker 15 (17:26):
Chad Benson, Joe.

Speaker 12 (17:39):
Son, Chad Benson, Joe the Chat.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
Benson shows tariffs, more tariffs, more tariffs, and some Trump.

Speaker 3 (18:07):
And don't let some of these pols used to go
around and say, you know, because I'm telling you, these
countries are calling us up, kissing my ass. They are,
they are dying to make it to you. Please please
make it to you. I'll do anything. I'll do anything, sir.
And then I'll see some rebel Republican, you know, some
guy that wants to grandstand say I think that Congers

(18:30):
should take over negotiations let me tell you.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
You don't negotiate like I negotiate. You don't do it
like I do it. Okay, and not better than you?
I love it does make me laugh on that set. Well, chat,
how could you say that? Because I get where we're
going with this, Okay, I understand what we're doing here.

(18:53):
When it comes to China, this is not good. They're
gonna get more expensive. The battle's on. This is a
much different thing. A lot of these tariffs are going
to go away, and it's going to be volatile in
stock market. Remember Main Street Wall Street, two separate things.
And yes, this is going to affect us, and there's
going to be pressure and we need to be strategic

(19:13):
and smart with these sayings strategery. But I like the fact,
as Kevin O'Leary said earlier on this very program from
a peace we taped yesterday where I was not involved,
but he was taken on China. This is what it's about.
Taking on China.

Speaker 16 (19:33):
China is probably the worst example. I'm not the only
one God created the world that everything else is made
in China. But because President Trump has done what he's done,
and I'm not saying it hasn't been.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Tough, with the mark if it has been.

Speaker 16 (19:47):
But we would not be in this situation able to
negotiate lower terraces and trade barriers if President Trump hadn't
done what he has done.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
And I have some questions about some of the other
countries and what's being said as far as what's transparent, real,
what's truthful, because people don't care about the truth. You
know what I told people yesterday that Canada has never
hit us with that two hundred and fifty percent, you know,

(20:20):
dairy tax or whatever. Every He's like, dude to thy man,
and I'm like, you do realize that there's a threshold
that we have to get to before that thing kicks in.
And we've not reached that threshold ever. Oh we haven't. No, so,

(20:41):
but I think a lot of this and this is
the battle too. We're going to find out who our
friends are. We're going to find out who our acquaintances
are and who has the stones to say China, No
friggin more. You want some more from John Kennedy because
makes me laugh. How about one more before we get woke?

Speaker 16 (21:02):
President Trump is a little bit now like the He's
like the pit bull that caught the car. What are
you gonna do with the car Uh, he's he's got,
he's got these foreign nations up up to the lick log,
as they say on a farm, what do we do next?

Speaker 1 (21:24):
We're gonna find out. We're gonna find out, and it's
can we build a coalition of people that are willing
to challenge China to try in some areas to bring
back some of their manufacturing, to try to shift it
to other nations where it is inexpensive to build but

(21:44):
a better environment, more online with our beliefs, and at
the same time put pressure on China to start actually
playing by the rules, start playing fair, start actually doing

(22:07):
the things that they were supposed to be doing when
they joined the World Trade Organization, when they promised they
wouldn't steal EPs when they promise start doing those things.
And yes, the military side of it as well, which
is very important. They're wont to take all that money,

(22:28):
throw it into their military, build their military up and
be the dominant force. This will affect you soon how
much we're going to find that out. You're gonna see
all kinds of crazy things on the interwebs over the

(22:50):
next several days. This thing was cost a dollar forty
two the other day about seventeen thousand dollars. Is that true?
Or is somebody making a point and somebody would lie
on the internet. Somebody might lie on the internet, is
what I'm saying. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Happy Wednesday.

Speaker 17 (23:06):
Buckle up, everybody.

Speaker 18 (23:07):
It's time to talk about my pronouns.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
When babies are born, the doctor looks at them and
they make a guess about whether the baby is a
boy or a girl.

Speaker 10 (23:15):
Not that sometimes the doctor is wrong.

Speaker 19 (23:18):
She Lucy is a ghost?

Speaker 1 (23:21):
Are the pronoun they them say? There was two of
them about you yesterday.

Speaker 10 (23:27):
I came out of transformable family.

Speaker 20 (23:29):
Don't let's go rock brocks pronouns.

Speaker 17 (23:31):
That sounds so cool.

Speaker 21 (23:34):
Let me introduce you to our non binary I am
non binary and I use they them pronouns.

Speaker 20 (23:38):
And my students know this.

Speaker 17 (23:39):
We just came up with new words that fit us better.

Speaker 22 (23:41):
It's fine.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
What if I want to be called sir Elton Johnny,
It's time for woke Wednesday.

Speaker 19 (23:50):
Woke Indeed, it isn't easy.

Speaker 23 (23:53):
None of it is waking up and choosing to be yourself,
proclaiming a space belongs to you when you don't feel
welcomed teaching people on a daily basis how to address
you and dealing with the frustration of reteaching people a
word that has been in the human vocabulary since the
dawn of time.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
They them, they them, Oh wow, it isn't easy.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
Being so cheesy. People are crazy now, this is scary. Uh.
In the woke, wacky world where the Luigi's Mangiones are
now praised, the left has lost the fn plot. And
I say that because it's true, and that's according to
polling from Rutgers and the n c R. I this

(24:46):
is inza. I want you guys to understand assassination culture.
It's spreading. You're like, there's a culture of assassinating Yes.
Disturbing new report reveals that violent political rhetoric online, including
calls for the murder of Elon Musk and the assassination

(25:07):
of Donald Trump, is not only becoming normalized, especially on
the left, but it's also becoming romanticized.

Speaker 19 (25:18):
What Elon Musk, like, when did you ex him?

Speaker 24 (25:23):
And by x, I mean formally known as assassinations.

Speaker 17 (25:27):
For the person out there who's planning on doing it.

Speaker 25 (25:30):
You know, it's the thing that we all wake up
every day hoping we'll see in the news and we're like, man,
no one's doing it. Keep going your plan, it's going
to work. If not, it'll inspire the next person. And
we are all rooting for you. You have our support,
you have our admiration. We might make a national holiday
out of you, and I will definitely put money on

(25:50):
your books.

Speaker 17 (25:51):
And if you're into this sort of thing, I'll write you.

Speaker 25 (25:53):
Some letters of the naughty sort should you find yourself
behind bars for it. But we're all rooting for you
and hoping that you do it quickly and get away
with it.

Speaker 26 (26:04):
How to the people right here, we all know it
needs to be done. Right if I do it, are
you all going to convict me? Because somebody got to
do it?

Speaker 1 (26:12):
So can someone just do it? Can someone just do it?

Speaker 20 (26:15):
Just do it?

Speaker 27 (26:16):
Every day that I wake up, I just hope someone
takes one for the team.

Speaker 17 (26:20):
Just go out in a blaze of glory.

Speaker 27 (26:22):
We will always keep money on your book, we will
write you letters every day. We'll put your face on
prayer candles.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
Insane. Joel Finkelstein, the lead author of the report, said
what was formerly a taboo culturally has become acceptable, which
is scary. So they trace the cultural shift back to
the assassination of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson by Luigi.
According to the study, these memes, because it's like this

(26:52):
meme kind of assassination culture, have sparked copycat behavior targeting
other figures associated with health and conservative politics. It's not
just Luigi anymore, Figkelstein said, We're seeing expansion. Trump, Musk
and others now being openly discussed as legitimate targets, often

(27:12):
cloaked in meme culture and gamified online dialogue, and yes,
left leaning in a major way, Figlstein said, when when
he was asking all of these people and he's putting
together this research says Trump represents the perfect target for

(27:35):
assassination culture. He's powerful, he's rich, and he's provocative. That
puts him on the highest shelf for those who glorify
political violence terrorism. When asked whether destroying a Tesla dealership
was justified, nearly four and ten respondents agreed it was
to some degree. Among self identified left of center participants,

(27:58):
support for vandalism and property damn was significantly higher, and
property destruction wasn't just an outlier opinion. It's cluster tightley
with support for political assassinations. And other forms of violence.
The points to coherent belief systems, not just isolated grievances scary,

(28:26):
and they break down the correlation matrix. But also talking
about you know, when you go look at some of
these things, like some of the stuff we just played there,
the wackadoos, there's huge amounts of influence that some of
these people have, especially in the left leaning world, Blue
Sky being a big one, and they're big on left

(28:48):
wing authoritarianism, and there are so many people who like
and share and comment, yeah, let's do this. It's nuts
left leaning again. The right has their wakkotoos out there.
We know that, but it is crazy as we sit

(29:09):
here and we talk about, you know, every day, it's like,
oh my god, if you go to X, it's just
full of evil. It's crazy evil, and it's just full
of Nazis and all these kind of things. Blah blah.

assassination ideation is already spilling into real world violence, whether
it's a tax on Tesla dealerships or assassination TIMPs on

no longer fringe, but culturally fashionable, and in some corners

you do what you do what you know hand dune.

Speaker 13 (31:57):
What you've just said is one of the most insanely
idiotic things I have ever heard.

Speaker 20 (32:01):
And then they passed us a baton, and the question
is what will we do with the time we carry
the baton?

Speaker 19 (32:08):
You smoke?

Speaker 20 (32:09):
Are you just dumb?

Speaker 20 (32:20):
I call myself a joyful warrior.

Speaker 10 (32:23):
The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
This feels like something that America would do, but the
fact that the stuffy British are doing it is very interesting.

Speaker 20 (32:42):
What happens when you mix professional wrestling and a church service,
you get you guessed it, wrestling church. It's the brainchild
of thirty seven year old Gareth Angel Thompson, who says
wrestling is a medium well suited for telling Bible stories.

Speaker 29 (33:02):
I was always looking for a way to tell stories
in the ring as a professional wrestler.

Speaker 15 (33:07):
What we do in here is very much good versus evil.

Speaker 4 (33:10):
Yes, of course it is good versus evil. You see
what I'm saying right there? Again, it feels like something
you'd see in America. Wrestling for Jesus.

Speaker 29 (33:19):
When I became a Christian and I started seeing the
wrestling world through a Christian lens, I started seeing David
and Goliath, I started seeing Cain and Abel. I started
seeing Esau having his heritage stolen from him, and I'm like,
we could tell those stories.

Speaker 20 (33:37):
The Reverend Natasha Thomas says she initially had some misgivings.

Speaker 18 (33:41):
You have no idea how raw becaus is.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
It going to get?

Speaker 18 (33:44):
How aggressive is it going to get? Are you going
to be modeling something that you don't want people to much? No,
those are sort of questions and maybe go.

Speaker 20 (33:52):
Through my mind a little bit.

Speaker 18 (33:53):
But yeah, it's not proven to be that. I find
it a real blessing.

Speaker 1 (34:03):
It's actually interesting to watch because I'm living in England
and I went to church there, and you know, it's
very much not like our megachurches and all the fun
stuff of me is it a little bit more you know,
some dude, if you will.

Speaker 4 (34:16):
And a lot of the chapels are quite old and
some of them arenewable, but do you understand what I'm saying.
It's very much butted up, you know.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
And yet in the middle of this like Anglican Church, right,
you know, this Church of England thing, there is a
wrestling ring and people's is wrestling for Jesus.

Speaker 20 (34:34):
And while the storytelling may be a little unorthodox, all
those body blows are a hit at Saint Peter's Anglican Church.

Speaker 5 (34:43):
Whatever.

Speaker 30 (34:44):
We'll touch people's hats and mans, you know where that
happen in this place. You know, I think it's absolutely wonderful.

Speaker 22 (34:56):
You know, these kinds of programs that help people that
are in eat of that, support of Father figures and
brilliant prenny to them for think it's fantastic to.

The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 10 (36:23):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
Are you ready America, Are you ready for tariffs? Because
they're here? Oh oh boy, are they here? Now? What
does it mean for you? We're going to find that out?
What does it mean for me? We're going to find
that out. It means we're going to find that out,

(37:13):
and we'll find that out and how it affects us
when the goods that we purchase that normally in our
mind is at this price and now it's at another price,
and that price is more expensive, and that's when we go, oh, oh,
I feel that. Now? How does America feel? Harry Anton?

Speaker 9 (37:36):
How much could these tariffs cost Americans?

Speaker 1 (37:38):
The annual tower of cost per household?

Speaker 31 (37:40):
They estimated between sixteen hundred and two thousand dollars. That's
about two percent of the meet and household income. I mean,
my god, if you're going paycheck to paycheck, as we
talk about twenty five to thirty percent of households do
lift paycheck to paycheck, that is a huge jump.

Speaker 1 (37:57):
Yes, it is. It is a huge jump. Now that
being said, settle your asses down, because you guys didn't
seem to care about the inflation when it was out
of control. Remember it was transitory. Janet Yellen said, we
just think it's transitory. Well, it's not. Nobody likes your

(38:20):
Robinhood haircut Errol Flynn.

Speaker 31 (38:22):
And where do we see those costs really hitting. Well,
I'll give you a few different examples. All right, computers
up eleven percent potentially, how about natural gas up five
percent potentially, how about white rice up four percent potentially,
And so we just see it throughout different parts of
the economy. The American consumer getting hit potentially by these
Trump tariffs on top of the inflation we've already seen.

(38:44):
It is no wonder why my opening slide said, the
American consumer is fed up. They have just been hit
over and over again over the last five years, and truthfully,
there's not much of an end in sight, especially with
these tariffs potentially on the way.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
Why tariffs? Is it because we really want to bring manufacturing?
But eh, my opinion. It's my show, so I'm gonna
give it to you. China, China, It's the Chinese. This
is a battle, and I said it last hour. It's

(39:20):
a pissing match. This is the pissing match that we
haven't had since the Cold War. This is for the globe,
if you will, this is it. That's why this is important.

(39:42):
A lot of the other stuff.

Speaker 32 (39:43):
You know, it's like, well, do you know so and
so is doing this and such and such got that
on us and black that's that's meaningless, right, Like we
we're a rich We're the richest nation in the history
of mankind.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
I mean, my god, we brought back dire wolves. Were
the richest nation and the history of mankind. Soak this
up for a second. The state that has the lowest
per capita income, that per capita income is greater than

(40:17):
the UK. Soak this up for a second. Okay, the
power of the spend that we have is tremendous. But
this is about China and us. This is about the potential,
Like this is the first step towards the battle. They've

(40:38):
taken all that money and expand their influence globally. They've
taken all that money and expanded their military globally. Their
reach is everywhere. US putting tariffs on some of our
friends is to make them go, are you with us?
Are you with them? Are you on the side of freedom?

(41:06):
We don't want to do this, and we understand that
you've got a life that you guys have to lead,
and we don't want to push you towards them. That
being said, what they want to do and where they
want to go is far worse than the freedoms and

(41:27):
the goodies we offer, So you got to make a choice.

Speaker 33 (41:30):
Well, R I think it's unfortunate that the Chinese actually
don't want to come and negotiate because they are the
worst defenders in the international training system. They have the
most imbalanced economy in the history of the modern world.
And I can tell you that this escalation is a
loser for them. That they have some very smart the economists,

(41:55):
the academicians, technocrats within their bureaucracy, and they would be
telling the leadership that we do not have the edge here.
They are the surplus country that they're exports to the
US are five times our exports to China, so they

(42:15):
can raise their terrorists.

Speaker 1 (42:16):
But so what boom. Scott Bessont there not very exciting.
Looks a lot like Will Ferrell when he's playing Harry Carey.
But he's right, he's right when it comes to this,
there's more to it. This isn't just about trade and goodies. Yes,

(42:37):
and Republicans. The politics of it is very real. The
politics that you may see us potentially going to recession
where Trump and the administration is going to get the
blame for it, and in doing so, they're going to
lose potentially seats and control of the Senate and House,

(43:02):
which that's not what Trump wants. But it's bigger than
the goodies or the trading because the trade and balance
is so again, I go back to it, it's such,
it's it's such boloney. Well, we can't sell our cars
there are they such crap. We're gonna bring back man,

(43:22):
you fair not bringing back manufacturing, for God's sakes, that
ain't happening. This is about two and we're saying, come
with us because you need it, because you want it,
And let me give you a reminder with a twisty

(43:45):
twisty of an arm, that it's probably better for you
to be on this side. Kevin O'Leary, what do you
have to say, mister nice guys that he goes that's right.
I love watching him. He's a big wa I love
watching them talk about watches.

Speaker 8 (44:02):
One hundred and four percent tariffs in China are not enough.
I'm advocating four hundred percent.

Speaker 9 (44:07):
I do business in China. They don't play by the rules.

Speaker 8 (44:10):
They've been in the who for decades, they have never
abided by any of the rules they agreed to and
they came in for decades. They cheat, they steal, they
steal ip I can't litigate in their courts. They take products, technology,
they steal it, they manufacture it and sell it back.

Speaker 9 (44:26):
Here never has an administraty and four territory.

Speaker 8 (44:30):
I want chie on an airplane to Washington to level
the playing field.

Speaker 1 (44:37):
And it's also about the consumer. We're consumer based nation.
You're hoping that we're gonna get off cheap goods. The
cheap goods for the most part come from China or
the competition directly with China. If not from China, other nations,
Indian and whatnot, who are willing to drive down the

(44:57):
price of their manufacturing so they could compete with China.
But this is the battle. And yes, it is probably
going to put us in a situation where we could
be looking at a recession and that's going to absolutely suck.
And for the Republicans, it's got to double suck because
they're not thinking about the future like that. And if

(45:20):
the Democrats are smart, they'd be on board. But they're
playing politics too, because that's what we do here in
the world of politics. We play politics, and it's about
saving yass. Ronald Reagan said, imagine what we could do.
Nobody cared who got the credit. Well, in today's world,
credit is all that matters. Credit. Look at the great

(45:41):
thing I did, or credit to yourself by saying they're
the worst. Look what they did to you.

Speaker 8 (45:48):
It says not about tariffs anymore. Nobody has taken on
China yet, not the Europeans, no administration for decades.

Speaker 9 (45:55):
As someone who actually does business there, I've had enough.

Speaker 8 (45:58):
I speak for millions of them Americans who have ip
that have been stolen by the Chinese. I have nothing
against the Chinese people. They've brought great literacy, art and
tech to the world. The government cheats and steals. And
finally an administration. You may not like Trump, you may

(46:19):
not like.

Speaker 9 (46:19):
His style or his rhetoric.

Speaker 8 (46:21):
Finally an administration that says enough four hundred percent tariffs
tomorrow morning.

Speaker 1 (46:28):
We would absolutely feel that they would send the markets
crashing even more. But this is a long play. Yes,
I look at this and think I understand why on
the political side, I understand why there are plenty of

(46:54):
people on the Republican side who are freaking out. I
get it. How could you not because you're going to
be held accountable. Trump is going to be there after
next November. You may not. You may not, And you're

(47:15):
worried about that because you understand that you're going to
take the brunt of this on top of what Trump
is going to feel. But Trump's not going anywhere. I know,
the left like, and we told you that all day, right,
we told you that all day. Trump's going to stay
there forever.

Speaker 3 (47:36):
Right now, China's paying a one hundred and four percent
traff think of it, one hundred and four percent. Now,
it sounds ridiculous, but they charged us for many items
one hundred percent, one hundred and twenty five percent.

Speaker 9 (47:48):
Many countries have. They've ripped us off left and right.

Speaker 1 (47:51):
But now it's our turn to do the ripping. To
do the ripping and the tearing and the ripping. This
is going to be interesting. The battle with MAGA, the
battle with even people within MAGA inside the White House

(48:12):
who are nervous because they recognize what would happen if
they lose the midterms. That's the politics coming in. By
saving your own ass, but for the betterment potentially of
the globe. Trump's decided to take this on Ooh Gonna

Speaker 1 (50:07):
That we've heard so much about that we've.

Speaker 2 (50:08):
Already seen so much volatility in the markets, they are
in effect.

Speaker 1 (50:13):
They are in effect. What's it mean? I don't know
that they're in effect? Chad, jeez? What is tariff? My god?
Everything is tariffed everything. You have a thought right now? Tariff?
Listening to this tariff, I'm charging you more. I'm actually
I'm charging you more. Listening time. Just wanna let you

(50:36):
guys know that, all right, you've been taken from me
for so long. Get ready for it, you else we're
gonna tearff China.

Speaker 2 (50:45):
A lot of these price increases are going to be
passed on to the consumer.

Speaker 1 (50:49):
I mean just from China.

Speaker 2 (50:51):
Last year, the US imported four hundred and thirty eight
billion dollars worth of goods. Major companies rely only on China,
or at least broadly on China. Apple makes a lot
of their most popular products there, Amazon, a lot of
other online retailers they rely on Chinese manufacturing.

Speaker 1 (51:08):
By the way, TikToker I Think out of China did
an AI video of what Americans would look like manufacturing
and it is hilarious and not too far from reality either.
I'm gonna post it. You can check it out at
Chad Benson Show on x and Insta. It is spot on.

(51:34):
Just we look miserable. I keep telling everybody it's this
thought process. We're all good to work. It saut of
a factory.

Speaker 5 (51:41):
Shit.

Speaker 1 (51:42):
So stupid Republicans are worried.

Speaker 34 (51:46):
More Republicans in Congress are now breaking with the President
and his tariff policy. You have Axios now reporting at
least twelve House Republicans are now considering a proposal from
Nebraska Congressman Don Bacon. His new bill would require Congress
to approve of new tariffs.

Speaker 35 (52:01):
Now.

Speaker 34 (52:01):
Identical bill has already been proposed in the Senate, where
Republicans say they are feeling pressure from voters.

Speaker 1 (52:07):
Of course, tariffs affect you and I when we go
to buy stuff. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four,
twenty three at Chad Benson Show, it's your Twitter, your Instagram,
I sheep saying Twitter, It's not Twitter, it's your ex
in your Instagram, right here on the Chad Benson Show.

(52:30):
And we won't really get a sense of that until
we actually feel it in our wallet. When we feel
it in our wallet, then we'll be like, oh my god,
but that isn't happening right now now, it will in
the coming days and weeks. And that's if these things
last a long time. We have no idea how long

(52:51):
they're gonna last. Speaking of something that will affect you
very soon, the real freaking ID. And it's been a
pain in the ass trying to get this damn thing
for me, because no matter what you have, it's never
the right damn stuff.

Speaker 36 (53:07):
The countdown is on for people across the country to
get a real ID before new federal rules go into
effect next month. A standard driver's license will no longer
be accepted as identification to fly even domestically, so starting
May seventh, travelers will need a real ID or a passport.
Americans have been scrambling to get appointments at local DMVs
in the New York area. People are waiting for months.

Speaker 1 (53:31):
Yeah, good luck with that. You know they're gonna end
up having to extend this longer. Remember, real ID was
put in effect after nine to eleven, just a few
years afterwards. Like, we're gonna have a real ID. Here
we are twenty years later, gone, well where is it now?
They're like, you guys have to get it. Oh, but
by the way, the system is completely broken, and no

(53:53):
matter what you bring, it's probably not going to be enough.
If you have your passport, get your real ID. But
you can do any thing you want with your passport.
If you don't have your passport and you have a
real idea in theory, you're not gonna be able to fly. Ah,
I know, right three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four,

Speaker 37 (54:47):
This support group is for people who are so woke
they're finding it impossible to have any fun at all.

Speaker 1 (54:55):
It's that chime of the week where we break it

Speaker 9 (55:00):
It's all right, I'll go that way too.

Speaker 20 (55:02):
It's all right, clear.

Speaker 8 (55:03):
Out, Like, can we actually agree that women get pregnant
and not men?

Speaker 15 (55:08):
Oh?

Speaker 28 (55:09):
Dad, you white women raise the white boys who grew
up to be little misogynistic petriarchal tarlets.

Speaker 25 (55:18):
I am Kamla here my tn ondercy a heime A
woman sitting at the table wearing a blue suit.

Speaker 1 (55:27):
It's time for woke Wednesday. We like to get woke
on Wednesday. And I don't know if you've seen this,
but this was out there quite a bit over the
last couple of days. Her name is Savannah Craven. She's
pro life, she's an influencer. She goes out, that's man
on the street stuff, as you do. So she goes

(55:49):
out and she has this conversation with a woman for
like twenty minutes about abortion pro life, and well it
just went a little sideways.

Speaker 37 (56:00):
Did if you It's very obstructed and I think that
you just don't understand the magnitude of having a child's here. Well,
I'm not the one who admitted they would be okay
with killing babies and foster care and killing children that
have been abused. That's the point what I'm sex. Really,
she just punched me in the face.

Speaker 21 (56:21):
We were just doing a street interview with my camera
and everything was fine for over twenty minutes.

Speaker 37 (56:26):
Or however long were filming, and then she just punched
me in.

Speaker 15 (56:29):
The face.

Speaker 1 (56:33):
Right end, A face just cocked her and it was weird.
They talked for like twenty minutes. You know, he a
little heated at time, but it was nothing they were
never going to see. I do ee. And I've learned
this in this in my business. I don't go there
trying to When I go talk to, you know, people
on the street, I ask them questions, but I don't

(56:57):
go there trying to change their mind like that. And
I know there's a lot of gotcha people out there.
But one thing I've learned, especially about the left, and
we did it, you know, the big bombshell study that
the left is becoming increasingly violent and they're obsessed with
assassination culture. We'll get a little deeper into that next hour,
but they got a little heated, these two going back

(57:19):
and forth and then click, just like it was almost
like it was like a movie where you say a
phrase and then that person comes to life to destroy
or whatever. It was just out of nowhere. It was crazy.
You know what's even scarier the lunatics out there who

(57:42):
are like, yeah, yeah, that's good.

Speaker 38 (57:44):
I like what you did there, What that woman from
the Bronx did when she punched that lady, that's rage.
Beating journalists in the face was what Malcolm X was
trying to tell us we needed to do. I think
she did the right thing, and I think that anyone
one that thinks that she did the wrong thing is
silly and spineless. If she has a gofund me for

(58:07):
any potential criminal charges or something, I will be donating
because I think this is what we need to be
doing now. If you want to rage bait people, there's
the rage.

Speaker 1 (58:19):
You got it.

Speaker 19 (58:20):
You got what you wanted.

Speaker 39 (58:21):
My favorite video online right now is of that lady
who's going around New York City asking people if their
pro life or pro choice, and she comes across somebody
who's pro choice and she in two piaster got her.

Speaker 1 (58:31):
In the face.

Speaker 37 (58:32):
Boop boop, literally from the side dope like her net folded.

Speaker 10 (58:37):
In like a open chair.

Speaker 39 (58:38):
Anyways, every once in a while I rewatch the video
because it's just so funny.

Speaker 31 (58:44):
There's a video of a pro life activist getting punched
in the face by the lady that she was trying
to interview.

Speaker 1 (58:49):
And I'm not justifying that behavior, but.

Speaker 17 (58:51):
I will say that video did bring a little bit
of a smile on my face.

Speaker 6 (58:54):
Is when it comes to these like street interviewers, extreamers,
whatever it may be, you antagonizing people, whether it's like
through an air, whether it's just like harassing people, doesn't matter.

Speaker 17 (59:02):
Eventually you're gonna get checked.

Speaker 1 (59:04):
The left loves the violence, remember who does. As You're
always telling everybody how horrible the right is, how evil
the right is, how bad the right is, and oh
my god, they're remember if they're gonna play the game,
and I do not.

Speaker 4 (59:20):
I have horror violence. I'm not a violent person. I'm
a lover, not a fighter.

Speaker 1 (59:28):
You think you're gonna get checked and you went punch somebody,
What do you think's gonna happen? If you decide political
violence is the way forward? What do you think is
going to happen. Not good, It's not enough. My god.
She was being interviewed, uh Savannah Craven, and you know,

(59:51):
I was asked about, like, you know, kind of what
the hell happened to other people.

Speaker 21 (59:55):
I've seen this happen, but it wasn't a moment where
I never thought this was going to happen to me.
I live here in the city and I'm very used
to dealing with out of control protesters and abortion supporters.
But there was no lead up to this altercation. It
was like we were having a conversation and all of
a sudden, she just lets loose on my face.

Speaker 1 (01:00:18):
I have to be honest, Like I watched it. She
was right, There was no you got a little heated,
but there was no lead up to There wasn't a
moment where they were staring down, they start pushing each other,
or anything like that. There was none of that. It
was just step crackle, pop thumpt a pretty good.

Speaker 21 (01:00:40):
The left and many abortion supporters, they don't like a
differing opinion. They don't like their opinion to be challenged.
And I believe what happened here was like you said,
we got to the end of the argument. I was
repeating back the things that she had stated to me,
and maybe she realized it didn't sound too great. And
the truth is abortion is violent and it creates violence.

(01:01:02):
And this is what abortion does to people. It hurts women,
hurts families, and it hurts babies.

Speaker 1 (01:01:09):
They don't have an answer for a lot of things.
A lot of people don't have an answer for a
lot of things. I've noticed, you know, was telling my
wife yesterday. I get a lot of text from you guys,
And I will say my audience comparatively, so I do
two shows. My local show can be. The audience itself
is very The people who chime in are very, very maga.

(01:01:33):
They don't like confrontation if it comes at them, and
they feel like their identity is being challenged. But I've
also noticed a lot of them are very open to
having a conversation. I've got friends on the left there
or that way is as well. We have gotten to
the point, though, where we are so wrapped up in
the identity of whatever it is that we believe. Now

(01:01:56):
I'm not talking about religious belief or anything. I'm talking
abouts in particular, issue based politics, which was something that
thirty years ago people really didn't care too much about
you know, it was like we need to balance the budget,
make sure that we've got a surplus, and blah blah
blah blah. Nowadays it's you know, it's like cultural politics
is become massive and a way for control and a

(01:02:19):
way for identity, and people are lashing out and it's
not a good place to be. It isn't. We're going
to get deeper into this next hour, so we talk
more about assassination culture and how the left is just
apparently really into it. Just crazy. It's it's uncomfortable. We

(01:02:42):
should not be in this position. And I get frustrated too.
I say, look, it's on the right as well. It's
not as I will get people who will say stuff,
this is what I get from the right. I don't
like you. You're not a patriot. I get stuff like that.
I can't listen to you anymore. I don't know why

(01:03:02):
they hired you. You're horrible at this job, you're not
a patriot, you don't like Trump, Maga, and they'll say
stuff like that, Okay, I get a lot you're not
a patriot, like okay, whatever. You know what I get
from the left, you're a nazi. F you die. I
hate you, blah blah. I mean, it's it's much more vile.

(01:03:23):
And I'm not saying the right camp be it. But
in mass if I get ten texts that are mad
at me, and sometimes I will do a story and
I'll get ten texts from both sides that are mad
at me. The right will challenge what I said. At times,
the right will say stuff like you need patriot blah
blah blah. The left. Out of those ten, eight of

(01:03:46):
them will be vile and full of hate. The other
ones will be like, you're stupid, I don't like your show,
And I'm like, okay, whatever you text me five thousand times,
I'm sure i'll get another text from you, and the
same thing. On the left, how much they hate me
and how whatle Nazi I am and blah blah bah blah,
and then they'll say I'll never listen to you again,
and then they'll listen to me again. But the vile
side anymore comes from the left, and it is it's

(01:04:08):
not a good place. It isn't cause you're and and
the reason I just tell my wife, I don't you
can't reason with somebody like that. They're not interested in
any kind of conversation. They're angry and they want to
make sure that you know how angry they are, and
so they're going to say something. If if I'm you know,

(01:04:29):
a way to blow off steam, and you want to
say what a pos I am, knock yourself out, I'm
okay with it. I don't live in the world of
twenty four to seven politics and online. I don't. I don't.
I don't. I don't. By the way, if you're not
keeping score, we have a tariff battle going on now,

(01:04:53):
back to the regularly scheduled programming. We've got advisors feuding.
Speaking of feuds, two.

Speaker 34 (01:04:59):
Of Trump's ca the advisors are publicly feuding over tariffs.
You have Elon Musk, who opposes them, calling Peter Navarro,
who is in favor of them, a moron for comments
he made about the production of Tesla's. The White House
is dismissing the back and forth, saying boys will be boys,
and at the same time giving credit to Trump for
hiring advisors who have different viewpoints.

Speaker 1 (01:05:19):
It is interesting because he called him as dumb as
a brick, and then Elon came out today and apologized
to bricks. Just kind of funny. He's very witty in
that way. Did they really say boys will be boys?

Speaker 28 (01:05:34):
Yeah, there's been some public sparring between Elon Musk and
the President's trade advisor Peter Navarro on some of these tariffs.
Musk actually refer to Navargay as being quote dumber than
a sack of bricks. The administration, the President all concerned
that this is maybe impacting the public's understanding of these tariffs,
it might be messing with the message on it.

Speaker 40 (01:05:52):
You know, look, these are obviously two individuals who have
very different views on trade and on tariffs. Boys will
be and we will let their public sparring continue.

Speaker 1 (01:06:03):
Which is fine. Let them, let them continue. They don't
like each other. A lot of people don't like the
power that Elon wields with very little accountability in their mind.
You know, they're trying to stay within the lines. They're
focusing on one things and he's running around getting all
the press. And I think there's some jealousy there, no
doubt about it. But boys will be boys. Well, just

(01:06:24):

Worried got some text? Messages we'll go through some of,
those and there are a lot of people that are
worried about this and what The republicans need to, understand in, Particular,

(01:12:36):
Trump you've got to give people that opportunity to, worry
and you must be able to talk to them in
a way that makes them feel comforted and like you're
there with, them and. Empathy god Bless. Trump not always

much it just, relax take a deep. Breath it's just
a good. Advice that's good solid Virus. Chad, yeah we're
talking tariffs and it's not super, exciting but the reality

(01:13:54):
is it's. Here so now what what we'll find out
we'll find out in the coming days and. Weeks this
is not about what a lot of people think it's.
About and this is just my. Opinion but it's my,
show So i'm gonna give you my. Opinion this is

(01:14:15):
a battle between The White, House, AMERICA us folk, freedom And.
China that's what this is. About the best way to
put it, is they've screwed everybody for. Years they have

(01:14:37):
taken the, money they have taken all of the opportunity
to grow their, economy use tariffs to build up their military,
might build up their reach. Diplomatically and Now trump is, saying,
Yeah i've had. Enough we're not going to do this.
Anymore so no, ooh, yeah, no we're not doing. This

(01:15:05):
so we hit. Them they hit, Us we hit, them
they hit. Us welcome to the world of ter.

Speaker 44 (01:15:12):
Force China's commerce ministry has also announced that it will
add six MORE us companies to its list of unreliable,
entities which sanction those. Firms those, companies they include ones
that provide services IN, ai, aerospace and.

Speaker 15 (01:15:26):
Defense and this.

Speaker 44 (01:15:27):
Comes After china's foreign ministry insisted the country will fight
until the end and accuse The White house of.

Speaker 1 (01:15:33):
Bullying and let me tell you. Something the service side
is where we have a. Surplus so if you don't
understand the way that trade, Works i'll give it to
you in a simplistic way so easy that EVEN i
explaining it to you can understand. It we have goods

(01:15:56):
we purchase and we consume the hell out of good,
right big time consumption of. Goods so we have a
deficit with a lot of. Countries we have another, thing
so we're trade with, them but they're not buying the
amount of goods that we're. Buying so we may buy

(01:16:19):
a million dollars of goods and we may sell them
five hundred, thousand so we have a five hundred thousand.
Deficit we're buying more from them than they're buying from,
us and in some cases they put tariffs on so
it makes it virtually impossible or harder to compete for
their money with our goods in their. Nation but where

(01:16:44):
we have a surplus is in.

Speaker 35 (01:16:50):
Services oh that's, right, kids. Services so services are the
things that they just hit, there, software, banking, tourism, finance et,
cetera et. Cetera that's where we have a great deal

(01:17:14):
of surplus on many countries around the.

Speaker 1 (01:17:17):
Globe but this is a bigger. Deal this is a
battle for. Supremacy the New Cold war is a trade
war that god willing won't turn into an actual, war
but we have to come hard and part of the

(01:17:40):
battle that is going, on like it or not is
we're looking at our friends and our. Allies aren't they the?
Same now some people are, friends but they're not going
to back in a, fight and our allies they'll throw
down with. Us but we're looking at a lot of,

(01:18:01):
people a lot of, neutrals right, acquaintances say where do
you want to? Be and there's a worry that we're
going to Push europe out of desperation because their economy
is into a situation where they cozy up more With.

(01:18:22):
China but with that comes with all of the things
that come With. China, no not just pandas And chinese,
food but all of the geopolitical, stuff the bending of
the need of, beating the giving in to, them those

(01:18:46):
things that they're trying to spread across the. Globe we
have benefited from the export of our, ideas As i've
said for a long, time and we've benefited in some
ways from cheap, goods because let's be, real go look

(01:19:09):
around the. Globe our economy pretty damn good comparatively to
the rest of the. Globe for quite a, while nobody
has seen the growth and the strength like we have
in the history of. Mankind but As china has started to,
rise and now they're at the point where there's only

(01:19:29):
two superpowers. Left it's us in them and we're ONE.
A they want to be ONE a right now there
be we don't want to allow them to get TO. A
and part of it is.

Speaker 9 (01:19:45):
This.

Speaker 1 (01:19:48):
If we get into a true trade war that is,
lasting the difference between us and the rest of the,
globe we can shut up shop today with everybody and
we will be. Fine oh it may hurt for a,
while but we're gonna be. Okay so this is an

(01:20:13):
interesting time because while all that's going, on the reality
for The republicans, is, Yeah trump's president and we've got
The house in The. Senate but if we have a,
recession if this thing drags, on if we start to
lose the base the people that we say we're fighting

(01:20:35):
for more and, more panic is going to grow throughout the,
party which gonna cause them to infight because they're going
to feel like they're gonna pay for it at the ballot.
Box Not. Trump oh see where you're, Going, CHAN i
see wre you're. GOING i think your president in his

(01:20:58):
first term doesn't do anything like. THIS a second, term
you take this, on you're not getting re elected you're
not running again taking any of the big things on
that need to be taken on in this, country whether
it be trying to fix our massive problem with the

(01:21:20):
fact that we are thirty six trillion gazillion dollars in,
debt truly about eighty trillion when you go look at unfunded.
LIABILITIES i have news for. You you don't take that
on in your first, term because you're gonna have to
do stuff that's unpopular. NOW i don't like the way
that some of the stuff's been, done AND i think

(01:21:42):
that tariffing a lot of our friends the way we
have and then telling everybody it's about bringing back manufacturing.
STUFF i think THAT'S i don't buy. That but DO
i understand the play With? China oh, yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:21:54):
One hundred and four percent tariffs In china are not.
Enough i'm advocating four hundred.

Speaker 9 (01:21:58):
PERCENT i do.

Speaker 1 (01:21:59):
Bsiness they don't.

Speaker 9 (01:22:00):

also enjoyed the cheap goods and the slave. Labor AND
i look at the companies as much as anybody. Else
you guys have allowed these things to go. On you
didn't have to be. There now you're trying to go somewhere.
Else you, know you've seen apples over In. India you're

(01:23:12):
seeing some of that. Movement BUT i Think china recognizes
this is. Different this may not be the, Oh trump's
going to be cool with it kind of. Scenario all
we have to do, is you, know stroke as, Ego,
no he is taking a path that is way. Different
AND i do understand. Why BUT i also look at the,

(01:23:32):
politics and the politics is if you lose seats and
all of a sudden you don't have The house or The,
senate maybe you got one but not the, other or
maybe you have, neither which would be a. Nightmare your
last two years is going to be hell with the

Speaker 8 (01:24:06):
Anymore nobody has taken On china, yet not The, europeans

There i've had. ENOUGH i speak for millions Of americans
who have ip that have been stolen by The. CHINESE
i have nothing against The chinese. People they've brought great, literacy,

Speaker 9 (01:24:33):

Speaker 8 (01:24:37):

duke all things trending in the magical world Of. Twitter,
yeah it's. Tariffs they're in, fact you, guys feel it
feels a little different outside doesn't.

Speaker 2 (01:29:34):
It if you wanted to bring in a product From
china to The United States, china you're likely having to
have to pay more than double the cost of that
good because of that one hundred and four percent. Tariff this,
is of, course not Just, china though all these tariffs
will be paid TO Us customs And Border. Protection they
say they're prepared now to collect these tariffs from goods
that come in.

Speaker 1 (01:29:53):
From eighty six different trade. Partners oh my, god what
will we? Do what can you? Do? Nothing. NOTHING i
couldn't tell you what's gonna. Happen WHEN i was at
the dinner last, night and tariffs never came, up not.
Once the question a few times about do you think

(01:30:15):
some things will get more expensive in some? Areas? Maybe
but outside of, that there wasn't a lot of talk about.
Tariffs and there were several people THERE i was chatting with,
you nobody really seemed to be too worried about, tariffs
partially because it's a weird. Thing because you don't know
how this affects. You, right we're a, nation and by the,

(01:30:38):
way not just, us but globally people we've sometimes got
to see it and feel it before we understand, it
and this is one of those situations where, yeah we're
gonna have to feel it before we get it an
understanding of it and how it affects. Us if you
miss any of the, show shame, on you've had the.
Podcast it is The Chat Benson.

Speaker 12 (01:30:56):
Show The Chat Benson, show.

Speaker 10 (01:31:20):
The Chad Benson.

Speaker 46 (01:31:21):
Show anything to, say and if they can lift something,
off those things usually aren't actually human rights because a
lot of times you guys think that anything that you
want is a human right. Newslash that's not how it.

Speaker 1 (01:31:36):
Works oh my, gosh how dare you say that you
don't even know what a human right, is?

Speaker 46 (01:31:41):
Sir for, example you guys said it was an attack
on trans human rights That trump said the federal agencies
will now only recognize two, genders male and. Female the thing,
is you do not have a right for the government
or anybody else for that, matter to indulge your. Delusion
you don't have a right to force other people to

(01:32:03):
go along with something that literally is objectively. Untrue you
have a right to speak freely about your, Identity you
have a right to express yourself, freely but you don't
have a right to force other people to go along with.

Speaker 1 (01:32:16):
It oh my, lord how dare you speak that nonsense
of common sense in this? House young?

Speaker 46 (01:32:22):
Man same thing WITH. Dei you are not. Entitled it
is not your human right to get special treatment on
the basis of your, race or sexuality or anything. Else
trump isn't taking away anybody's. Rights he's putting everybody on
the same playing. Field he's giving everybody equal treatment under the.

(01:32:42):
Law you guys are just used to special. Treatment that
seems like.

Speaker 1 (01:32:48):
A fairly common sense. Approach but, SIR i call you.
That that's going to hurt people's feelings and we know
we don't want any of. That, ah oh my, Lord
which brings us to this portion of the program where
you get a little bit of some. Wokeness and this

(01:33:10):
wokeness comes with seriousness today what the woke wants the woke.

Speaker 42 (01:33:15):
Get every time they refer to, me it's always lady,
girl it's non stop me are contributing.

Speaker 17 (01:33:25):
Well to our fat phobic?

Speaker 27 (01:33:26):
Society or someone fat like, me black like, me beautiful like,
Me no offense about.

Speaker 5 (01:33:35):
You so that's why intentional weight losses fat cut your?

Speaker 9 (01:33:39):
Mouth who's fat?

Speaker 1 (01:33:41):
All it's time for Woke. Wednesday there's a lot of
wacky woke stuff out. There BUT i bring this up
because this is a new pole that is out and quite,
frankly it is a lot more serious than the. Usual
they them insanity that goes on or the fat phobic
people who are up set because they had fat. CON

(01:34:01):
i don't know if you guys saw. That we missed
out on that. ONE i wonder what the snacks were,
LIKE i don't, know BUT i bet they were gone.
Quick and they don't call it, snacking they call it.
Grazing but back to the, seriousness and it is. Serious
so this is a new poll out From rutgers and
NC ri and it's about political. Violence and the study

(01:34:23):
reveals there is an assassination. CULTURE i want you guys
to soak that up for a. Second an assassination culture
now a meme. Culture it's meme culture of assassination attempts

(01:34:47):
and wants and influencers are playing a huge. Role and,
yes this is all brought on By Luigi.

Speaker 24 (01:34:56):
Aaron, musk like when'd you exem and BY X i
mean formally known as.

Speaker 25 (01:35:03):
Assassination that's for the person out there who's planning on doing.
It you, know it's the thing that we all wake
up every, day hoping we'll see the news and we're, like,
man no one's doing.

Speaker 17 (01:35:13):
It keep going your, plan it's going to. Work if,
not it'll inspire the next. Person and we are all
rooting for. You you have our, support you have our.

Speaker 25 (01:35:22):
Admiration we might make a national holiday out of, you
AND i will definitely put money on your.

Speaker 17 (01:35:27):
Books and if you're into this sort of, Thing i'll.

Speaker 25 (01:35:30):
Write you some letters of the naughty sort should you
find yourself behind bars for. It but we're all rooting
for you and hoping that you do it quickly and
get away with.

Speaker 17 (01:35:41):
It how are the people right?

Speaker 26 (01:35:43):
Here we all know it needs to be. Done right
IF i do? It are you all going to convict?
Me because somebody got to do?

Speaker 1 (01:35:48):
It?

Speaker 20 (01:35:49):
So can someone just do? It can someone just do?
It just do?

Speaker 27 (01:35:52):
It every day THAT i wake, UP i just hope
someone takes one for the. Team just go out in
a blaze of. Glory we will all always keep money
on your. Book we will write you letters every. Day
we'll put your face on prayer. Candles prayer.

Speaker 1 (01:36:06):
Candles what? Crazy do you think they're? Right or?

Speaker 2 (01:36:13):
Left?

Speaker 1 (01:36:14):
Chad? Obviously january, sixth, Right, Eh, Nope in the new,
report they're, left and not just kind of, left by the.
Way Joel, finkelstein who is the lead author in the,
report said what was formerly taboo culturally has become. Acceptable

(01:36:35):
we're seeing a clear shift of, glorification increased, attempts and changing,
norms all convening into what we have defined as assassination.
Culture just terrifying.

Speaker 2 (01:36:51):
It.

Speaker 1 (01:36:51):
Is he, said this is brought on really by The
luigi assassination Of United HEALTHCARE Ceo Brian. Thompson, allegedly according
to the, study these memes have sparked copycat behavior targeting
other figures associated with wealth and conservative. Politics he, says

(01:37:12):
it's not Just luigi. Anymore we're seeing. Expansion, Trump musk
and others are now being openly discussed as legitimate, targets
often cloaked in meme culture and gamified online. Dialogue that is.
Nuts N cri conducted this pole and the findings in

(01:37:41):
this AND i posted some of them on the UH.
Ex thirty eight percent of respondents said it would be
at least somewhat justified to Murder Donald, trump and thirty
one said the same About Elon. Musk when counting only
left leaning, Respondents trump rose to fifty five. Percent so

(01:38:02):
think about. That if you got one hundred, people fifty
five people in that room who are left leaning say
would be justified to kill The president of The United,
states and forty eight percent said it would be justified
to Kill Elon. Musk these are not isolated, opinions he

(01:38:27):
went on to, say they're parts of a tightly connected
belief system linked to what is now truly a left wing.
Authoritarianism they Say trump's the perfect target because he's, powerful he's,
rich he's. Provocative that puts him on the highest shell

(01:38:49):
for those who glorify political, violence and it wasn't just
violence towards. People when asked whether destroying A tesla dealership was,
justified nearly four and ten respondents agreed it was to some.
Degree among self identified left of center, participants support for
vandalism and property damage was significantly higher eighties. Nuts he,

(01:39:20):
said there is some violent sentiment on the, right but
nothing like the. Left And Blue, sky by the, way
which is supposed to be the kinder Chedler, x.

Speaker 3 (01:39:33):
Is.

Speaker 1 (01:39:33):
Nuts he. Said Blue sky was modeled as a safe
Alternative twitter for the, left but what has become is
extremeist platform functions say much like Four chan or gab
ones did for far right. Ideologies these platforms now lead
when it comes to indicators of violent real world Trend

(01:39:56):
that is. Crazy and some of last stuff we just
played for you has millions of views and hundreds of
thousands of likes and shares and. Supports there are tons
Of reddit communities with thousands of members specifically For Luigi
mangioni and assassination culture is growing every single, day which is.

(01:40:20):
Terrifying it is crazy and, scary and this is apparently
the new thing for the. Left january Sixth, okay you,
look are there people out there that are wacka doos

(01:40:41):
on the? Right hell, yeah you. Guys hear me talk
about that a. Lot but are there people now that
have lost the plot when it comes to the left
and their emotions and, emotions as we all, know cause
you to do horrific. Things and we're seeing that more and.

(01:41:04):
More the fact that people come out and openly say
stuff like what we've heard we should unlive them or
we should it. Is it is mind. Bockling it is,
crazy and these influencers are reaching millions of people on

(01:41:25):
a daily, basis and it only takes one person to
snap and do something awful and horrific and change things
in a way that we maybe can't even put our
finger on at this moment in. Time and one of
the things they talk about it in the study is

(01:41:46):
the fact that it's helplessness people that are living in
a world of, emotion who feel completely helpless in any
of the things that are going on in their, world
and so they just don't know what to. Do so
instead they lash. Out and the first thing, is let's
just out alive someone no bad three, two, three, five three,

Service you get you guessed, it wrestling. Church it's the
brainchild of thirty seven year Old Gareth Angel, thompson who

(01:45:21):
says wrestling is a medium well suited for Telling bible.
STORIES i was.

Speaker 29 (01:45:26):
Always looking for a way to tell stories in the
ring as a professional. Wrestler what we do in here

the Evil goliath and. Crushes but, no this is A british.

Speaker 29 (01:46:13):
WHEN i became A christian AND i started seeing the
wrestling world through A christian, LENS i started Seeing david And,
GOLIATH i started Seeing cain And. ABEL i started Seeing
esau having his heritage stolen from, him And i'm, like
we could tell those.

Speaker 20 (01:46:30):
Stories The Reverend Natasha thomas says she AND. A shayne
had some. Misgivings do you.

Speaker 18 (01:46:35):
Have no idea how raw becaus is it going to?
Get how aggressive is it going to? Get are you
going to be modeling something that you don't want people to? More,
no those are still questions and maybe go through my
mind a little, bit but, yeah it's not proven to be.
THAT i find it a real.

Speaker 1 (01:46:57):
Blessing it's and we're talking like an old, church right
and in the middle of, it like the pews are
all moved and there's a bunch of people in there
and there's screaming and shouting. It it is just fascinating to, what,
Again jesus works in mysterious. WAYS i think we know.

Speaker 20 (01:47:17):
That and while the storytelling may be a little, unorthodox
all those body blows are a hit At Saint Peter's Anglican.

are about to be impacted right.

Speaker 1 (01:48:14):
Away AND i think we're going to start to feel,
that and that's when things are going to get a
lot more serious rather than talk and reaction in the
stock market and what those things cost close, shoes, electronics,
cars all of those things we'll find out in the coming,
days in potentially, weeks as this thing goes. On but
