Speaker 1 (00:00):
You get my reflection and telling your best friend like girl,

(00:02):
I think I poo myself on Breeze new birthday on
my fucking birth supposed to be yesterday, but you didn't
look at it.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
That is so good.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
I think I poomed myself. Why have I been getting
so badly bullied on this show lately? Oh damn you.
First there was the Taskmaster open it yesterday. Now this
is when you put yourself out there.

Speaker 4 (00:28):
We'll do it to Clint.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
It's a horrible message to send to people, Cord.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
Clint, you do some weird wraps and we'll do it
for the top of hours.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
And Clint never puts himself out there.

Speaker 5 (00:39):
I'm never opening up.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
Yeah, those walls are up.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Yeah, I'm never opening up again.

Speaker 5 (00:46):
What's this button that's just called foreskin?

Speaker 4 (00:49):
My friend had the biggest foreskin in the world that
you could hide things in it, Harry.

Speaker 5 (00:55):
That's where you keep your ignore that one.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
You can put a you can put a coke can
in there. Do you guys want an update? Full skins?

Speaker 5 (01:06):
It's not a four skin, it's her.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Tail, and she's a girl skin.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
It's a fucking girl And you know what, even though
you guys don't deserve me to open up and go
to an update on my dog Merl's tail.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
It's not good, guys. Oh no, not looking good.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
The whole thing gonna have to go.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Do you want to hear?

Speaker 1 (01:28):
In the past, however, many weeks, what we've tried to
wrap her tail.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
The first thing we tried was this like real.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Expensive like sport tape that's meant to be real sticky.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Came straight off.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Then we tried wrapping a sock over her tail, and
then like putting tape around it, which did work okay,
but would come off. Then we tried I then tried
this stuff called flexy. It's essentially if you get third
degree burns and you put it over a third degree
burn it's real sticky. But then it wouldn't breathe, so

(02:03):
then wooden heel so that it wouldn't heel, so then
that was a bust. Then Sapphire, my partner bought home
a tiny little baby sock because the big sock was
too big and it was weighing her tail down too much.
So we put these tiny baby socks on her tail.
That's it just bleeds straight through it. And so today

(02:24):
this might be the last resort. I went to the
chemist and I bought it's a toe a silicon toe guard.
But it's like perfect tail size, but like it's for
your second toe.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
I think if you've it's long distance running, I think so,
or if you've got like a.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Really bad, just hotail that's bleeding. Yeah, you haven't even
seen what the bleeding is from.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
From happy tail syndrome. But if people listen to the
other podcast.

Speaker 5 (02:54):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, dog, he's whacking her tail into the wall.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Yeah, it's this one.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
It's one side right on the tip of her tail.
And then I don't know how how much they're going
to have to.

Speaker 5 (03:05):
Cut off.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Half a tail.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Yeah, half a tail wouldn't wouldn't flop around as much,
would lose the whiplash on the end.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
What would you rather your dog to have half a
tail or no tail, half a tale.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
My dog's tail is quite magnificent. So is Meryl's tail.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Yeah, Meryl's tail is huge, and that's probably why she
hits it on so mny.

Speaker 6 (03:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Yeah, my dog's heels very petted, like it's like a
big brush.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
If I reckon, if your dog lived in our house,
it would have a problem. It's because our house is
so small.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
Well, if you loved your dog, you'd move ship thing
to say, we moved.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
We moved into this house because it's a backyard for
the dogs.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
God damn.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
In Brighter News, I'm sorry you're going through that. That's awful.
And I don't know so sick of.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Cleaning blood off the Oh yeah, damn, she went on
the outside. No way, have you met her my other dog, Whitney.
I'd be like, I reckon, she'd love it out.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
So if you brought her a nice kennel, she wouldn't.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Meryll wouldn't survive a day.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
When would suck?

Speaker 3 (04:15):
She'd be like, Oh.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
In Brighter News, my daughter's whole class listened to the
full podcast that she was on, No No, No One
that they were on Lucy centered in for Tooy's Class News,
the seven minute podcast, and the whole class sat down
and they put it on the TV and they played
the whole podcast for them.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
They like it.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
Yeah, I don't know. Yeah they did, but I wasn't there,
so I.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
Didn't gain any listeners from.

Speaker 5 (04:43):

the fuck is this?

Speaker 6 (04:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (04:47):
What's the radio?

Speaker 5 (04:48):
Why's in there?

Speaker 3 (04:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (04:50):
You had to get in that box checked.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Some kids would understand it. Yeah, especially if their parents
listen to radio.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Yeah true, you know, true, which means to be a
pretty cool bragged But yeah, some.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Kids would get it. Her age. What are you guys
passing notes?

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Do you just drew me a dick?

Speaker 3 (05:08):
I'm not very good at drawing them though. It's a
tiny dick. Oh no, it's normal size.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Now, that's way that's way smaller than mine.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
That's normal size.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Mind's massive, sixes six inch? Actually, what are we talking about? Sorry?
Were talking about children? Like goodness?

Speaker 1 (05:23):

Speaker 5 (05:24):

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
