one arm. What, yes, in a special drum cat that
he could drum with one arm and then he controlled
another part with his foot.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
That is the craziest factor ever. That's amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, so that's so cool. Those are the
three hardest things to do. Drum upside down, drum with
one arm, and drum more.

That's how much of a nice guy Steve Price is. Jeez.

Speaker 8 (08:18):

to get stronger.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
Steve, tell us what your boy has just achieved.

Speaker 8 (08:36):
Yeah, young, he's just signed with the Warriors, which is
really exciting. He grew up most of his young life
in New Zealand, so a lot of friends and yeah, well,
let's say seemly as well. You know, we obviously got
close to a lot of people over there when we're
in in Red and yeah, he's done the full circle
and signed for the rest of this season as well
as twenty seven and twenty eight. So it's really exciting.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Mate. We love to bloody see what legacy you left
at the Warriors. And I feel like your son Riley
could come in and finish the job. What do you say, Steve, Yeah,
that'd be good.

Speaker 8 (09:08):
Yeah, he's got a lot of work today. But yeah,
I really liked what weather he's doing. The coaches and
the club, you know, so I wasn't a hard decision
for Oz. He was pretty excited. And me knows Fish
and a few of the other boys from when he
was at the Cowboys and at Penis that the Warriors. Yea,
so it's really cool. He's really excited. Been over there

(09:29):
for just over a week.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
I think he's already here, Steve, He's already in the country.
How does it work with an adult son? Do you
like when he's when he's studying university or something.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
Do you fly him over here, get him set in
his new flat or did you just drive him to
the airport and kick him out of the car?

Speaker 8 (09:43):
I don't know how I did that.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
I did.

Speaker 8 (09:44):
I drove him to the airport, said good luck son,
and gave my hard Mum was kying. So there was
a flood in Britain at the airport. Yeah, we were
saying good bye, even though he's baby, twenty five year
old baby.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Yeah, of course he'll always be your It's bloody good news.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
And we're going to look to get people on the
show who are also chips off the old block. Did
you we want to talk to people who followed in
their parents footsteps. Did you follow in your parents' footsteps
at all? Is there anything that you did, Steve Price,
that your old man did?

Speaker 2 (10:13):
Was your mom a front rower? Steve?

Speaker 8 (10:18):
That's sorry where I get from his mum? She was
an athlete, but dad wasn't. Definitely not all from mom.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
You're a chip off your old mom's block.

Speaker 8 (10:31):
Yes, that's it. So all the skill and aggression and
everything I was got from mom's side.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Price one of the most iconic Warriors ever.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
I would say Steve Price, captain Steve Price.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
Yet his son announced this week we'll be joining the Warriors.
He's already here. It's pretty cool. What a legacy.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
And can you get dad's locker canny wear some of
Dad's vintage training kit to training? It would be pretty
any wear that bucket hat that Steve prices.

Speaker 8 (11:04):
All the time.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Imagine if Steve Price's son finishes what he started, what
he started, and they win a premiership. He's a part
of the team.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Yeah, it goes further than his dad. And he's like
I'm the father of this family now, so we want to.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
Know, are you a chip off the old block? Did
you follow in your parents footsteps? Ashley's called through, Hey, ash.

Speaker 9 (11:25):
Hi, ash Hi, how's it going?

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Tell us? Are you a chip off the old block?

Speaker 3 (11:30):
Yes?

Speaker 11 (11:30):
I am?

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Are you taking after well?

Speaker 12 (11:35):
My mom is a teacher, right, was a teacher. My
sister was a teacher.

Speaker 9 (11:40):
Okay, I am a teacher, and my daughter wants to
be a teacher.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
No way are you? Do you guys all have the
same like specialty subjects? Are you all different?

Speaker 13 (11:52):
All different?

Speaker 4 (11:53):
Do you all have the same missus name? Are you
all misses something with the same name or is it different?

Speaker 12 (11:59):
When my mom my sister were teaching, they were at
the same school, and I think my mom's name was
Mamma Bee and my sister's name was little Bee. But
my kids are just five, so they call me Ashley.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Nice.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
I love that they're so modern calling your teacher by
the first name. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
Black Eyed Peas wrote a song about your mom. Mamma Bee,
Mamma Bee, Mama, Mama, mumma Bee. That's very cute, Ashley.

Speaker 4 (12:24):
Somebody else sticks in and said, my mom was an
ECEE teacher, so I became one two. I actually wanted
to follow in dad's footsteps, but he said absolutely not.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
He was a radio announcer. I want to know who
your father is.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Who is it rog from the rock?

Speaker 8 (12:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (12:41):
And do you have his voice? Someone said, our family
has been farming the same land for four generations. My
son just took over this year. I couldn't be prouder.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
God to be gutted if your son was like vegan
or something and he was like, I'm going to work
in the city.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
This is what into our family because oh yeah, our
farm was passed down through generations, multiple generations, and then
because my dad and his brother ran the farm, the
apple farm, and then none of their kids took it
over and got sold. Yeah, my dad disappointment. My dad
always said, he's like, I don't want you kids to

(13:19):
be farmers. Oh really, yeah, he to be honest, I
think that's what he said. He I think he would
have loved for my brother to take over, but he
also knew. He always said to us, He's like, it's
a hard, hard life.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
I don't want any of you guys to farm. And
unless you guys want unless you keep in.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Which case, I'd love you too. I mean, why not.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
My mom's sister and I all play hockey, and we
have since primary school. There were a couple of years
when my sister and I were in high school and
my mum was fifty ish.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
We were all in the same team together.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Cool, that's awesome at this But Lebron playing with his son.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
Yeah. Someone else said, both my parents are cops. I
joined the police. They gave me all the advice and
still tell me how to do my job. Yeah, that's good.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
How many notifications for something you purchased online? Is too
many notifications? I feel like I feel like it's getting
out of control.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
I feel like one notification is enough. Yeah, two, I'm
fine with anything more than two. Three I can handle.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
If it's your order.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Is no need to be strict on this, okay.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
But I can handle one that shows my order went through,
one to say it's been shipped, and one to say
it's been delivered.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
But even then the.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
I need one, No, that's the maximum I will handle, okay.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Because I need one. I need one to say that
it's on its way, which means that I know it's
been purchased, and I'll just wait till it gets here.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Okay, Well that's fine too, That's fine too. I'd be
fine with one.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
I set a new personal record that I never wanted
to sit yesterday. And all of this happened within twenty
four hours. So on one hand, excellent, How fast did
my package get delivered?

Speaker 2 (15:10):
Wow? Fantastic. Twenty four hours were quick.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
Within that twenty four hours, I received ten email notifications
about my package. Ten email notifications. And you might go, well, Clint,
was at a very expensive product.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
Was it something you were.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Excited to receive?

Speaker 14 (15:27):
Was it?

Speaker 1 (15:27):
It was cleaning tablets for my coffee machine.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
It was those little tablets.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
Why you put on the Delongey machine to clean the
coffee machine?

Speaker 2 (15:38):
Why don't DeLonge and Brevel? Why can't we just buy those?
Can you buy them from the supermarket? Maybe? But I
just want to I feel like you can't.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
I was trying to take the easy route. I was like,
I've used the last one.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
Rather than forget to order them, I'll order it right now,
right now, while I'm thinking about it.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
And then it made sure that you remembered you'd ordered
it ten times notifications later.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
That's notifications between the company that I bought them from
and the courier company that was delivering them, so between
the two of them, ten notifications.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Don't worry. I literally last week sent a gift to
someone in Australia and I don't think i'd ever received
more updates. I felt like I was on the journey
with the present, Like that's how many notifications I knew
where that present was every hour of its journey.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
You're like, I've sent it. I no longer care about
this package.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
Now it's in your hands. You got you just deal
with that. It's your responsibility, like it's just out of
controls brilin podcast The Tea Live from LA with McCarney.
This story is crazy, but tell us what has been
going down at the Noah Khan concerts.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
I don't even know how to start this story or
end it story, But what has been.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
Going down is someone took a poo on.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
The floor at one of his concerts.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
Yeah, and the reasons it's making international headlines is because
he has come out and had to remind audiences.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
You know, there's some things you need to say and
there's things you shouldn't need to say.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
Well, this falls into the shouldn't.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Need to He has reminded people that if you need
to go to the toilet, go to one of the
actual buildings. We have toilets for you. Those are provided.
My music is not that good where you have to
defecate on the floor. You can miss a song. No one,
we have we have audio. Yeah, sorry, no, no, sorry didan?

Speaker 4 (17:45):
I thought you were getting into a heartfelt soliloquy about
pooing on the floorida Beyonce concerts, So you go ahead.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
I was going to say.

Speaker 9 (17:53):
The other thing could be doing single ladies in front
of it.

Speaker 8 (17:56):
I would still still miss the song to go to
the restroom, like a no song on Earth, but I
would just.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Do that on the ground ball.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
Especially not here is the public service announcement that nobody
thought needed to be made by Noah Khan at one
of his concerts.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
When you went through this building, you went for a
social contract right. Rule Number two wisides don't literally kill
each other is don't on the poor. So purpet after
me I saw him, I swear I will not pants
and if I do, I won't take it from my

(18:37):
pants and put it on the poor.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Oh my god, it sounds like the bridge of the
nixt Noah Khan song, doesn't it?

Speaker 2 (18:45):
Yeah, I mean essentially it's Noah Khan ship season, not
stick season. And you shot on the floor of Noah
Khan concert.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
No you can't.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
That's the tea with Brian Clinton. What was going on?

Speaker 1 (19:03):
And Dean McCarthy, our Hollywood correspondent, who gets he's better
than this.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Okay, he does stories that mass is below him. Guys,
not these stories is disgusting. The podcast networks.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
Let's talking about tough love. Parents love to say that
we need it, we need tough love, and arguably we do.
But I want to know if you think that this
is tough love or a step too far. Okay, there's
a story in the news about a mum who says
she was showing tough love when she ditched her daughter
at the airport because her daughter forgot her passports. It's

(19:38):
in the news because the mum has ridden a blog
post about it, which means we have all of the
details right, And arguably the mum was justifying her actions.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
Okay, she was trying to support maybe or she was
on Boominette and she was like, tell me, I'm right,
and the boomers were like, girl, you're right.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
So what would the details of the story.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
So the mum and daughter were going on a holiday together.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
Okay, it was just the two of them.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
They got to the airport to check in for the flight,
and the daughter, who is twenty one okay, the daughter
is an adult and she lives in her own apartment.

Speaker 4 (20:14):
She realizes when they get to the airport that she's
left her passport at her apartment.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Okay, okay, Oh devastating.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
There is no way that she can get the passport
in time to make the flight. So the mom decides
that she is going on the holiday alone.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
What do you mean there's no way that you know,
the daughter has to rebook her flight, but she has
to pay the extra or.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
From what I can tell, they have saved up for
this trip for a while. Oh, they couldn't, and I
don't think she can. I don't think it's within their means, okay,
to miss the flight and get it.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
Say that's how it is.

Speaker 4 (20:49):
Let's just say that's how it is, okay. In the article,
she says that her daughter has a history of forgetting
things no, and that she has worked on it over
time with some success, although clearly not this time.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
So the mom's gone.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
Arm suckle bus, I'm going, I'm going. Okay, you need
to lean your less on the trip. This is where
it gets a little bit sad. The trip was a
trip the two of them did together when the daughter
was a kid. They were going to revisit some of
the spots that they went to and retake some of

(21:30):
the photos that they took together when she was a kid.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
And yet the mom still said, Nat, I'm going alone.
I feel like I know how I feel, and I
know whose side.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
I'm onh Well, we can go around the room. Whose
side are you on? And what do you think they
should have done? Okay, I'm on the mom's side. Oh
not what I thought you were going to say?

Speaker 2 (21:59):
Well, wow, why should the mom miss out as well?
Like if she's saved up, she's like, you know, yeah, okay,
And then obviously it's an awful situation and the daughter's
not done it on purpose, But why should both miss out?

Speaker 4 (22:14):
How are you going to enjoy the holiday though? When
you're there? How are you going to enjoy the holiday?

Speaker 2 (22:17):
While you plenty of margaritas with lots of extra leg
room on the flight, you can set your legs up
a bed at the resort, have a nice little sleep.
You can bring whoever you want home back to the hotel.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
Okay, Mom's side, Claudia, whose side are you on?

Speaker 6 (22:33):
It's a hot take breeze, But I'm also on mom's side.

Speaker 14 (22:36):
Wow, it's half because, like you know, she's done what
she needed to do to get there. But also, if
they're going to fix it, they might as well only
need to fix one person's ticket will be whatever, you know,
and not have to pay both again.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
Yeah you know, yeah, yeah, Okay, God, geez.

Speaker 6 (22:52):
Flavor, she's fine, she'll catch up.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
It's not like she's a kid, she's a grown up.
She's grown up.

Speaker 6 (22:58):
I'm on the mom's side too, because, oh.

Speaker 11 (23:00):
My god, adult child, right, so the kid's an adult
and tough love.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
If you would not, you would not be saying that
if it was you.

Speaker 11 (23:12):
Now, my mom wouldn't do that.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
Neither would my mom. But I the mom went do
I get it?

Speaker 15 (23:18):
Man?

Speaker 2 (23:18):
Am I a self touch?

Speaker 3 (23:22):
Not go?

Speaker 1 (23:24):
I would find a way. I would find I would
try and find a way.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
Say, why didn't they get someone who lives near the
daughter's apartment to go to the apartment and put it
in an uber?

Speaker 1 (23:34):
Well, that's like you said, let's just accept let's just
take it for a given that they couldn't do it.
Yeah right, okay, just I don't know.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
Can you credit card yourself up to the eyeballs to
get your daughter on the flight and then she pays
you back when you get back or something.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
Like, surely you know the mom shouldn't have to credit
card herself up to the eyeballs. The daughter shouldn't because
she's the one that's made the mistaken guess what, and
guess what, you'll never learn unless you feel the full
repercussions of your mistakes. And I feel like this.

Speaker 11 (24:06):
Kid, if she's done it lots of times, which she's.

Speaker 6 (24:09):
Type B and just like a little bit away, the
pales around.

Speaker 4 (24:12):
Yeah okay, yeah, okay, okay, it's a good life. Someone's
tuned in halfway through.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
How old was the daughter twenty one? Yeah, she's old enough.
So let's imagine the mum.

Speaker 4 (24:22):
Is fifty, mid fifties, late fifties, so not even a boomer. Actually,
someone takes and said, I was born in seventy one,
so I'm not a boomer. But I thoroughly agree with
the mother my sentiments exactly, Bree, I agree with the mum.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
Um. Yeah, right. It said they were flying from Boston
but lived in New York.

Speaker 1 (24:43):
Yeah yeah, it was too far, oh too far to
go back and get the passport.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
Yeah yeah, gotcha. Okay, okay, all right.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
That's a good lesson as someone with daughters.

Speaker 9 (24:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
You know what's interesting, did you grow up in a
few family that was quite tough love?

Speaker 9 (25:01):
Like?

Speaker 2 (25:02):
Was that a thing in your family?

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Arguably it could have been a bit tougher, I reckon.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
I agree with that for my family too. Yeah, I
feel like my mom. I don't feel like that when
you are a kid. No, but actually my mum was
incredibly soft on us, like and still is. Like, I
wish my mom was tougher on us. Sometimes I want
to talk to people who have experienced tough love.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
Whether you liked it or not, whether you now believe
it was fair or over the top, doesn't matter.

Speaker 4 (25:29):
Did your parents use tough love on you? Did you
crash the family car and they made you pay for
the entire thing. Did you get arrested.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
Doing something stupid and they left you for twenty four
hours in the cells before coming to get you far out?

Speaker 2 (25:46):
That is tough love.

Speaker 6 (25:48):
It's z it ms Brilling Clint Podcast When.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
Did you experience tough love from your parents? This person
wants to be anonymous high Anonymous, hig Anonymous, Hi, you.

Speaker 9 (25:58):
Got some kind of a cold monted Airs.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
I think you sound quite six here. Yeah, actually, thank you.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
Anonymous. Tell us about the tough love you received.

Speaker 3 (26:12):
Okay.

Speaker 9 (26:13):
So I crashed my dad's new new tur to surf
when I was seventeen.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
And were you allowed to be driving it? Did you
have permission to drive it? That's another thing?

Speaker 9 (26:25):
Okay, Well you started with the questions already, so I
won't tell you the whole story. Basically, so I was
on my way to work and all my family was
away for the weekend. I had no gas in my car,
so here we go. So I we're going to take dad. Yeah, okay,
I was like on the insurance and stuff, you know.

(26:46):
So but he hadn't even done it.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
Yet, Anonymous, You didn't think twice about it. The car
went sweet dad's new ride. Okay, So you crash it?

Speaker 1 (26:55):
And what's the tough love that your dad inflicted?

Speaker 9 (26:58):
Okay? So I had to pay the whole thing back.
I had been saving since I was thirteen for an
around the world trip when I was When I turned eighteen. Okay,
so all the money that I had saved went to him.
I had to sell my car given them money from that.
My lappped my phone. At the time, my d worked
six months for free bricklaying with him.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Bricklaying. Yeah, that's the hardest work you can do.

Speaker 9 (27:23):
It was quite cool because I did actually learn to
lay bricks with my granddad and my dad.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
Yeah, that's pretty cool. So would you say you learn
your lesson from that situation? Anonymous?

Speaker 9 (27:31):
Oh, my goodness, it was just one of the greatest
things that could have ever happened. It changed my whole life.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
Okay, how old are you now?

Speaker 9 (27:40):
Thirty five?

Speaker 2 (27:41):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (27:42):
And so you so you you endorsed that tough love.
If you were the dad in that situation, you would
do the same thing.

Speaker 9 (27:49):
Yes, yeah, there was probably a couple of things that
were done differently, but like he spoke to me about
things after, you know, after you kind of got over
and started speaking to me again.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
You must have really, you must really mounted that car. Anonymous.

Speaker 9 (28:02):
Oh yeah, I yeah, it rolled. It was a right off, actually, yeah,
totally right off. The only good thing I remembered was
my dad did say to me, if you ever roll
your car, make sure you turn the engine off straight
away so doesn't flood it. Then you can sell the engine.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
So I did remember that.

Speaker 2 (28:21):
I would have been so proud of you, Anonymous, I did.

Speaker 9 (28:24):
I didn't remember that, and my ankle sold the engine
for me and that got some of the money back.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
Yeah, what a great story, Such a good story.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
Let's go to Rob Hey, Rob, Hi, Rob, Hello, give
us your tough love story, Rob?

Speaker 2 (28:39):
What happened to you.

Speaker 15 (28:41):
When I was five ish?

Speaker 9 (28:43):
Yeah, we had mixy rooms for about three days in
a row, so mum was of course, we will said there.

Speaker 15 (28:50):
We came home from school that was outside being thrown
out the window.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
Oh, your stuff got put outside on the third day
as a fight. Ye, rolled. That's some tough for the
five year old.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
Holy smoke, I've already been accused of being a soft touch.
I feel like that one's a bit extreme.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
I don't think so. I think that's not too bad.
She could have set it on fire as well. Brutal zoey,
zoey kild tough love. What happened?

Speaker 3 (29:19):
So?

Speaker 16 (29:20):
Favorite pastime of my younger sister and I was, obviously
are giving performances to the fire though okay, we love it.
So the dress up boxes extensive, you know, the ballerina dresses,
the tiara, the old scarf. So after a performance one day,
you know, the lounge is littered with all of that
stage performance costumes, and my mom told us that we

(29:41):
needed to clean it up otherwise it was going in
the fire. But naturally we're exhausted after our performance.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
Naturally, naturally everything.

Speaker 16 (29:49):
Went in the fire and ti hours and all the
whole entire dress up box was up and played.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
So just said it could have been worse, that she
could have.

Speaker 6 (29:57):
It on fire.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
Mom, listen on fire.

Speaker 16 (30:01):
Yeah, savage, My mama savage.

Speaker 15 (30:03):
And she put it on fire.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
Look, she could have My must have been having a
hard week because she could have put it all into
rubbish bags, put it in the roof and told you
that she had put it in the fire.

Speaker 9 (30:13):
You know, she she just did a fight in front
of us.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
That's a hard core. She wanted you just smell the
melting plastic.

Speaker 4 (30:21):
So so, same question, Zoe, now that you're an adult,
do you believe that the tough love was appropriate or
do you think Mum went a bit too far?

Speaker 16 (30:29):
No, for sure. If you if you make a statement
I think you've got to follow through like we were young,
and you've got to set that early boundary I think of, like,
this is what I said I was going to do
and it happens, and I.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
Mean I need to hard as a parent, I need
to harden up.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
I'm so far a little. That's such a good story, Zoey.
I mean not for you guys when you were there and.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
Experience picturing these poor little girls who had just finished
their performance of Aladdin and they're watching the tiaras melting
in the fire.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
Too goes up in flat and Mum's.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
Got a glass of salve and she's like, well, I
told Janet, I can just yane.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
Your mum in the background me like, you got it nailed.
Oh my god. As zad M's Brinklin podcast.

Speaker 4 (31:18):
We were just talking about tough love before, and there
were some great tics that also came through. Someone said,
I've got a friend who kept slamming her door and
her dad threatened to take it off. She didn't stop
slamming the door, so he took her door away and
made her have no door on her bedroom for about
three months.

Speaker 12 (31:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
See, I feel like that's too far for me. Oh really,
that's too far. I think so that's a bit hardcore.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
Oh my god, I have no idea where the liners.
I was like, oh I would do.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
That one, especially like considering I wonder how old she was? Teenage? Okay, yeah,
I don't know. Three months?

Speaker 1 (31:55):
Door privileges. Yeah, you've lost door privileges.

Speaker 15 (31:59):
Nah.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
I feel like that one's too far. I like, what
about that? Are you gaslighting me? There's what? Am I
being stitched up here? How does that one? Because you're
taking away someone's privacy for three months, don't you reckon cord?

Speaker 6 (32:10):
It's the privacy thing.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
It get changed the bathroom.

Speaker 6 (32:14):
Oh yeah, that's true.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
You know you just don't get to have your bedroom door. Okay,
all right, sweet.

Speaker 2 (32:21):
It's quite hard to take a door off the hinges.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
No, it's very easy, is it. He just pushed the
three pins out.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
I've got old school doors, all right, you get to
keep them. Are not in charge of your door?

Speaker 1 (32:31):
Okay, don't come over to take I'm not taking.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
Why do you always try and come over to my
house and take my door?

Speaker 4 (32:36):
Someone said, I've got a friend who oh, sorry, no,
this is me. If we didn't do the dishes when
we were told to or we went to bed without
doing them. Our dad would either wake us up to
go and do the dishes, or we would come home
to find the dishes in our beds. Yeah, I've heard
of that one before, so I don't know where the
line is too far or that one's sweet?

Speaker 2 (32:55):
What about the one that said going to moderate that one?
I feel like you're not going to make that same
mistake again, So yeah, no, that's fine.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
You don't want dirty dishes in your bed, So I
feel like that's fine.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
Yeah, because it's a one time thing, you know, it's
not three three month punishment.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
When I was seven, I stole some toy horses from
a shop because I wanted horses so bad, and my
mom took me to the police station. They took me
into a little room and gave me the chat, Wow.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
That's pretty traumatizing. But you're not going to steal again,
are you?

Speaker 1 (33:34):
But I feel like there's like an unspoken thing with
parents and police where you bring them out and you're
standing behind them me giving them a wink. You're like,
she I've brought her in, she's she's done a crime.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
Given the good cop, bad cop arrest her and handcuff mam,
I'm sorry.

Speaker 17 (33:52):
I never do it again.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Let's get classical next. It's us versus producer Ella. And
when I think we did win last week, I think
she was high on the hog winning the week before.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
That's right she. I feel like she gave us half
the answer and then we finished something like that.

Speaker 11 (34:08):
It was close like that, will I will be honest
though this round. I'm in the mood today, so I
don't know how that's going to go.

Speaker 2 (34:14):
Kind of mood like I'm just good mood. I'm pissed
off today. Okay, to your face, it might be the
moon's out. We'll use it. Ella. I will get angry,
get angry, not constipated. We said angry. I nearly cracked myself.
Brikland classical.

Speaker 4 (34:38):
Classical guys, it's Bri and I versus producer Ella, and
Claudia's in charge as usual as all as you will.
Today we're feeling good okay, and Ella's running on sheer rage.

Speaker 2 (34:52):
I don't know why. It might be the moon.

Speaker 6 (34:54):
I'm blaming the moon.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
Fair, I think blame the moon. Yeah, blame it on
the moon.

Speaker 6 (34:59):
It's like, okay, I'm trying to be positive and I
would love a.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
When I do my best work when I'm angry. Really well,
what is it about it? I don't know. Just is
like an emotion that fuels you. I need to kick
a ball or something.

Speaker 14 (35:13):
Let's see how well it could fill you. This is
let's get classical. It's a pop song turned classical style
that you will be hearing. You need to buzz them
with your name and tell me what that song is.
The artist and the name of the song.

Speaker 6 (35:25):
That probably is. Okay, now we're locking. Okay, guys are
a team against producer.

Speaker 3 (35:30):
Ela.

Speaker 6 (35:31):
Here is your first song, Clint.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
I know.

Speaker 2 (35:44):
Clint, I knew it. I knew you.

Speaker 1 (35:46):
Taylor Swift fifth, I did have it, and then it
just left for a second and then it came back.

Speaker 6 (35:55):
I saw it floating around the studio in the Wow.
Very impressive.

Speaker 2 (35:59):
Okay, one, very good, very good.

Speaker 6 (36:01):
See how Ella's rage goes with this one?

Speaker 2 (36:11):
Ella?

Speaker 6 (36:13):
Ella?

Speaker 2 (36:13):
Who's a bye bye bye bye in sync?

Speaker 12 (36:18):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (36:18):
What more year? Oh my gosh?

Speaker 6 (36:22):
Correct?

Speaker 1 (36:23):
Wait, what's the name of the song?

Speaker 2 (36:24):
Bye bye bye? Are you for real?

Speaker 5 (36:29):
Well?

Speaker 2 (36:31):
Well, did not have that at all? Well done? You
didn't give that to me.

Speaker 1 (36:37):
I need to go back and listen to we Believe
You I'm not doubt.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
I need to hear you said a singing factory boys.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
That door Baby's extra impressive. Wow, because that song came
up before Ella was born.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
That was amazing.

Speaker 6 (36:58):
Let me just go for one ship further.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
I might ruin it justin Timberlake. Yeah, well done. Good
name one other band member and I'll buy your lunch
this Friday.

Speaker 14 (37:08):
Mike, he's my favorite one, so close Mike from Michael.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
All right, Tye break.

Speaker 6 (37:15):
Yeah, this is the last one here.

Speaker 8 (37:16):
It is.

Speaker 1 (37:21):
Free.

Speaker 2 (37:23):
That is Ariana Grande into you. Oh my god, it is.

Speaker 1 (37:32):
It's one each. There's a good rounds. I think we
all surprised ourselves. We did fris well done, New Peca
and Clinton. You get fifty K and c Chicken dollars?
Did you get any of those songs?

Speaker 2 (37:48):
No, it's crazy. Prison was like I hired you guys
to win me chicken dollar t DMS, Brie and Clint podcast.
Oh this is exciting. Something has been in the works
for a few weeks now and finally we're here and
it involves my mother, big part of this show. Mama,

(38:09):
Die welcome, Hi.

Speaker 7 (38:10):
Die, Hi, guys, Hey Galie.

Speaker 1 (38:13):
We're good. We need to confirm something have you received
the secret package?

Speaker 3 (38:18):

Speaker 9 (38:18):
I have received it.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
Excellent.

Speaker 1 (38:20):
You haven't opened our package?

Speaker 9 (38:22):

Speaker 2 (38:23):
Well, with all the writing across the back of c gee,
what writing do we put across the back of the
secret package?

Speaker 7 (38:30):

Speaker 3 (38:32):
We'll call Bree and clink.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
Yeah right, Well, got on you for following instructions.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
Die, that was the first test and you passed. Okay, good.
Now is the time you've been wondering what's in this
secret package? Should we get her to open it first?

Speaker 1 (38:47):
Yeah? I think you get straight into it, Die, and
you let us know what's inside that package.

Speaker 2 (38:51):
Just be careful because you don't want to crease it.
So just when you're opening it.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
She knows how to handle a package.

Speaker 2 (38:56):
Okay, okay, So I thought it had been a while
and she'd handled the package.

Speaker 3 (39:00):
I'm used to big package.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
How do you think you've got here, brit Okay, she's
arguably better with the package than you are.

Speaker 12 (39:08):
So I'm opening it as wings speak.

Speaker 1 (39:12):
All right, Okay, tell us when you got it open,
we'll fire off a drum roll.

Speaker 9 (39:17):
Jesus might need a pair of sciss.

Speaker 2 (39:21):
Come on, I gave you that credit with.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
The package stuff before you've got to come through for me.

Speaker 13 (39:26):
Now she works the packages being a bit easier to open.

Speaker 2 (39:28):
Yeah, right.

Speaker 1 (39:29):
You like the self opening packages, don't you.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
Everyone always wants scissors when they're opening the package.

Speaker 3 (39:35):
I like them to be a wife friend on them.

Speaker 2 (39:39):
Velt Crow, you like a velcrow. Package.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
You're a board short, no idea.

Speaker 2 (39:46):
I'm so excited.

Speaker 13 (39:47):
Well package, Well okay.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
We're okay, here we go.

Speaker 13 (39:58):
Oh my god, god, oh.

Speaker 3 (40:04):
That is amazing. Tell us what that is the best
thrill I've ever had?

Speaker 1 (40:11):
Die is my name on it?

Speaker 2 (40:13):
Will you tell us?

Speaker 3 (40:14):
Die?

Speaker 1 (40:14):
You hold in your hands your very own New Zealand
Radio Awards.

Speaker 13 (40:20):
Oh my god, you guys, it is my Name's on it.

Speaker 3 (40:24):
ZED Radio and Podcast Awards twenty twenty six winner Best
Music Network Team Bree and Clint, Clint Roberts, Bree Thomas
l Claudia Sykes, Ella Shepherd and Mamma DoD.

Speaker 9 (40:40):
It's as you, guys, I am so chopped. It's lily
as good as having another baby.

Speaker 2 (40:48):
Were you going to get one of those? So geez,
you don't thrill. You deserve it, ma'am. And when we
won this Radio award, all of us straight away just
wanted to let you know how much of it. How
big of a part you play in this show, and
so like you needed your own award.

Speaker 9 (41:07):
Oh, thank you.

Speaker 3 (41:08):
I've got nothing hanging on my walls at home, but
this is going up straight away. I've never won anything major.

Speaker 4 (41:16):
Oh you don't have any awards or trophies at home
of your own. I know you've got that room dedicated
to Brie yours, so she tells us. But there's none
of your own awards hanging up there, mate.

Speaker 3 (41:24):
The only ones I've got is best Manager.

Speaker 7 (41:26):
That's about it.

Speaker 2 (41:27):
This manager.

Speaker 3 (41:29):
Yeah, I am absolutely chucked.

Speaker 9 (41:31):
And thanks to my team that we won this award.

Speaker 2 (41:35):
Mom. That was because we all got our awards on
the night. And then this was an idea that came
from someone in the team and they actually had to
go back to the Radio awards people and they printed
this one specially just for you.

Speaker 7 (41:50):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (41:51):
It's absolutely so special. It is definitely going to go
in a frame on the wall and in a major
part where you walk straight into how.

Speaker 2 (42:00):
I know the part, take my degree off the wall,
throw that in the US. Put this up there. You
deserve it, mum.

Speaker 1 (42:08):
Well, no other no other radio shows given the ideas.

Speaker 4 (42:10):
All right, you're not going to poach her off us
and don't let this go to your head, all right, Die,
I don't go putting your rates up or anything.

Speaker 8 (42:17):
Oh well, I just.

Speaker 3 (42:18):
Think it should be brilling Clint with Mama and I
the name of the show.

Speaker 2 (42:23):
Right. We'll work on that, and we love you, We
appreciate you, thank you for everything.

Speaker 8 (42:27):
Oh, thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (42:29):
And I had no idea that that was coming. I
thought it might have been a photo of Steve Price
or something.

Speaker 2 (42:35):
But I should rather than we can. We can take
a hint, Die noes. We'll deal with that one.

Speaker 3 (42:45):
The recognition of you guys getting there and getting all
that done.

Speaker 2 (42:49):
Is just amazing. Mom, thanks so much for being such
a big part of our show over the years. We
love you. Thank you.

Speaker 9 (42:55):
Brings a tear to my eyes.

Speaker 4 (42:59):
I seen him before, and the bit of a shock
to you guys. But lucky that Bree is here today.
It almost didn't happen. She could have been in hospital.

Speaker 2 (43:06):
Well it might be far, but yeah, I think you're
exaggerating a little bit.

Speaker 1 (43:10):
Tell everyone what happened yesterday.

Speaker 2 (43:12):
Look, I had to take myself to the emergency room
last night. I didn't stay very long because there was
so many people there waiting, but I thought I needed
an X ray and the X ray was on my
foot in ankle. I thought I'd done something real bad.

Speaker 4 (43:32):
There's a video which is coming out tonight, is it?
Ella of It's Breeze audition video to play for Auckland
FC against Chelsea And can I say not the best
start to your professional football career.

Speaker 2 (43:45):
Just hearing you say it's so funny.

Speaker 4 (43:49):
There's a moment in the video and I don't think
we realized how bad the injury was in the moment.
It was bad, but you'll see Brie go ass over
to and over the course of the afternoon that it
got worse and worse, didn't it.

Speaker 2 (44:01):
Yeah, I didn't feel like it was that bad. It
hurt a lot at the time. Look, I kicked the ground. Okay,
I kicked the ground.

Speaker 1 (44:10):
You're not meant to do you meant to kick the ball, Yeah, but.

Speaker 2 (44:14):
I didn't kick the ground and it hurt a lot.

Speaker 1 (44:18):
We hobbled to the car park together yesterday.

Speaker 2 (44:22):
I could barely walk. Good night. Yeah, I'm terrible.

Speaker 4 (44:25):
I called you about nine o'clock on my way home
from the gym and you were on your way to
A and E.

Speaker 2 (44:32):
Yeah, to get nick tray. Was that bad? Well, my
partner said to me, Sahi said to me, She's like,
I know you and she's a nurse. Yeah, she was like,
You're never this dramatic. She's like, it must be bad,
and I don't. It must have something to do with
like sitting here in the studio and all the blood
rushing to my foot and it was so I was

(44:53):
in so much pain and I was like, I'm sure
I've broken it, which it still could be broken. I
don't know.

Speaker 4 (44:59):
I don't think it's it's allowed to be broken, because
if you don't know, Breeze Partners, a fire is.

Speaker 1 (45:04):
What three weeks away from giving birth?

Speaker 2 (45:07):
Yeah, we're three weeks out.

Speaker 4 (45:08):
You're three weeks away from having a baby, your first baby,
and you are needed, you are required. You were on
cup of tea, Judy. You were on nappy changing Judy.
You're on cooking Judy. You're on everything, Judy. And they
would be bloody hard to do if you were on crutches.

Speaker 2 (45:27):
I felt really bad when she was looking after me
last night. Yeah, this very pregnant woman and she's like
running around, She's like, what do you want for dinner?
And I was like, I feel so bad. I was like,
you sit down, I'll hobble around and get you stuff.

Speaker 1 (45:42):
Luckily, you're fine.

Speaker 2 (45:43):
We think.

Speaker 1 (45:45):
You're better than you were yesterday.

Speaker 2 (45:49):
Yeah, definitely better than you saying if it is.

Speaker 4 (45:51):
Broken, you're going to have to richly core it and
just have a broken foot for the next couple of months.

Speaker 2 (45:56):
I think, Yeah, I'm going to act. I think being
oblivious is the best in this situation, because I mean,
I'm on a lot of voltao right now, and I
feel great.

Speaker 1 (46:09):
He will keep that up.

Speaker 2 (46:11):
Yeah, I say this.

Speaker 1 (46:12):
All to you like I haven't done the exact same thing,
but in reverse. Do you remember when my second daughter,
Maggie was born and she was fresh and my other daughter,
Tilly was only eighteen months old?

Speaker 4 (46:25):
Yeah, and I went to the All Blacks. Do you remember, Oh,
that's right, and I tripped over a chain link fence.

Speaker 2 (46:33):
Because you'd had a a few shandies.

Speaker 8 (46:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (46:36):
And I was running to catch up with my friends
and I put my arms out and I fractured both
of my elbows.

Speaker 2 (46:43):
You're lucky you didn't knock your two front teeth out.

Speaker 4 (46:45):
Yes, yes, And I couldn't lift either of my children
for weeks. I couldn't lift them in or out of
the cot.

Speaker 2 (46:53):
I'm sure that went down like a bag of sick
with your wife.

Speaker 4 (46:57):
I've never been so terrified to go home, would have been,
but rightly, so rightly, so you know, you stupid.

Speaker 2 (47:05):
You didn't do it on purpose, and neither did you.
Nah when my partner goes, what have you done? And
then I told her and she was like, you're an idiot.

Speaker 1 (47:16):
Nobody does these things on purpose. But I feel like
some of them are avoidable. But you don't know that
in the moment.

Speaker 2 (47:22):
You don't know. So we want to know what was
the injury.

Speaker 1 (47:25):
That you received just before the baby was born.

Speaker 2 (47:28):
Maybe you were the pregnant one.

Speaker 1 (47:30):
Oh maybe yeah, maybe you had to have the baby
as well, or maybe you were there to support the
birthing partner.

Speaker 2 (47:36):
Doesn't matter.

Speaker 4 (47:37):
If you broke your leg because you needed to get
in one more game of rugby, if you fell off
a pogo stick because you'd had too many beers at
the wedding of the head.

Speaker 2 (47:49):
Wait, who's pogo sticking at a wedding? No, not a wedding.
Oh I thought you said a wedding.

Speaker 1 (47:53):
No, wedding of the head.

Speaker 2 (47:55):
The head wetting, Oh the head wedding. Yeah, yeah, I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (47:58):
I also don't know why there's a poke stick there either.

Speaker 2 (48:00):
Yeah, why is there a pogo stick at them? I
guarantee you.

Speaker 1 (48:04):
We'll get a story about a pogo stick now that
we've said that pogo.

Speaker 2 (48:06):
Sticks are an accident waiting to happen.

Speaker 4 (48:08):
Oh one hundred dollars at M will text your story
to nine six ninety six. We want to know the
injury that you got just before or just after the
baby arrived. We want to know if you got injured
just before or just after the baby was born. Bree
very nearly ended up on crutches yesterday after a football
stunt gone wrong.

Speaker 2 (48:30):
Some might say I should be on crutches, but because
my partner is three weeks out from having our first baby,
I've decided that I'm fine.

Speaker 4 (48:39):
Which shows Bree's dedication to both the baby and her partner,
and also the silly video that we were shooting to
try and get Brie into the Auckland f C women's team.

Speaker 2 (48:50):
It's so embarrassing how I injured myself.

Speaker 1 (48:52):
It's not even the best bit of the video. It's
not anyway that video comes out tonight on our Instagram.
But we want to know who got injured just before
the baby arrived. Jack's here, Hey.

Speaker 9 (49:02):
Jack, Hi Jack, Hi there, How are you good?

Speaker 2 (49:04):
Thank you?

Speaker 1 (49:05):
Who was it who got injured? What happened?

Speaker 13 (49:08):
So it was a whole shit show off things going on.
So my mom was pregnant with my baby sister. I
was fourteen months old, My sister was three and.

Speaker 9 (49:17):
A half years old.

Speaker 13 (49:19):
Yeah, she jumped on the bed while I was being
changed by my mom and.

Speaker 9 (49:23):
I had the headboard, so I had the lood everywhere.

Speaker 17 (49:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (49:27):
So then she called my dad because he was downstairs
with the broken leg from playing football, and he tropped
on his crutches and split us cast. So was an
absolut shit show, trying to get us the kids, her
heavily pregnant, my dad's blood cast oil, oni an ambulance.
She says. It was just one of those things where

(49:47):
it was like nightmare.

Speaker 2 (49:49):
I can just imagine your mom would have made at
her limit.

Speaker 1 (49:54):
So I'm just picture swearing her head off in Scottish
as well.

Speaker 7 (49:58):
Yep, well yeah she doesn't.

Speaker 13 (49:59):
She doesn't and drive with the time. So she was
heavily pregnant, me screaming was blowed, my sister crying, but
she hurt me, and my dad's chat was useless.

Speaker 1 (50:07):
Bloody dad stuck on the stairs rebreaking his football league.

Speaker 2 (50:12):
Yes, surely, surely your mum banned football after that, Jack.

Speaker 13 (50:16):
Do you know what he still played up until his
Fuftyes tofties.

Speaker 2 (50:20):
Yeah, blood, play as much.

Speaker 1 (50:22):
As you want, but not when there's a newborn and
a pregnant We.

Speaker 2 (50:27):
Say, I say that, but I mean exactly.

Speaker 8 (50:30):
You know it was.

Speaker 13 (50:31):
It was the eighties, so it was just a whole
pile of everything going on one time.

Speaker 1 (50:35):
It's such a good story, Jack, Thank you Sebastians here
High Sebastian, High Sebastian, a long time Sebastian.

Speaker 4 (50:50):
Good to have you, Sebastian. Was it you who got
injured just before the baby arrived?

Speaker 2 (50:55):
What happened?

Speaker 17 (50:57):
I was in the wind Night summer racing series at
the local yacht club.

Speaker 2 (51:04):
As you do, as you do, Yeah, it's free. Why
wouldn't you Why wouldn't you go? You're wasting money if.

Speaker 17 (51:11):
You know, be dumb not to Okay, As we're leaving
the marina, I sort of stood down as my one
leg was off standing down, my left ankle rolled and
I found down half a meter dessicated and broke my.

Speaker 2 (51:26):
Ank Oh okay, my god. How how many weeks pregnant
was your Misso I was.

Speaker 13 (51:32):
About three weeks before?

Speaker 2 (51:34):
That is literally you are it could have been me?

Speaker 4 (51:38):
Yes, So give Bri a glimpse into how it could
have been received in her house. How did your partner
react to you going into a cast with a broken
ankle three weeks before the baby was born in Sebastian?

Speaker 17 (51:49):
God, too happy? But then I was around the hospital
on a newsgater, so.

Speaker 1 (51:53):
Of course you did understatement of the happy very good.

Speaker 2 (52:00):
We asked you.

Speaker 1 (52:01):
Did you get in judici for the baby arrived?

Speaker 4 (52:02):
Someone said, I broke my nose the day my wife
had a stretch and sweep twelve hours at ed thankfully
the baby waited for me.

Speaker 2 (52:11):
Oh god, what about this? I got asked to play
a game of rugby because the team I used to
play for was short on numbers. That's how every story
of disaster starts. Yeah, five minutes into playing, I ruptured
my acl. My partner was thirty six weeks pregnant. Needless
to say, she was not impressed. Baby was born thirty

(52:34):
seven weeks.

Speaker 1 (52:36):
Oh, the baby was born one week after you ruptured
your ACL.

Speaker 2 (52:39):
Oh wow.

Speaker 1 (52:41):
On the day I had my caesarean booked for our son,
my husband's appendix burst and he also went under the
knife that same day. That's not his fault, that's not
his fault. But that's chaos your family as well. Yeah,
you're both in separate operating theater it is, you know. Yeah,
you can be there for each other. Oh my god,

(53:02):
By guys, I tore my Sorry, I tore my mcl
and my knee in a dirt bike crash. My daughter
was six months old at the time. The accident was
easily avoidable, but I was pushing to win the race. Yeah,
we wanted to impress your six month old daughter.

Speaker 2 (53:18):
It also sounds like you didn't win the race. Oh yeah,
he didn't even come home with that goodness. Yeah, yeah, no,
which makes it twice as bad. Someone said I was
thirty weeks pregnant when my husband had a rare hip
surgery that needed twelve weeks recovery. Four of those were
doing nothing and him just resting. He was lucky that

(53:39):
I was pregnant for forty two weeks, and by the
time the baby was born, I reminded him that his
twelve weeks were up.

Speaker 1 (53:46):
Yeah again that time. It's not his fault, like you can't.
It's not his fault in his hip surgery. But I
understand how frustrating it would be waiting on her hand
and foot.

Speaker 2 (53:56):
When you're so pregnant forty two weeks pregnant, you just
be hating it.

Speaker 1 (54:01):
You'd be like the day my twin girls were born.
I can tell this, Texas from a man. The day
my twin girls were born, I decided to take the
stairs instead of the elevator down to the ground floor
because I was so happy I was leaping down the stairs,
I trapped, fell down a flight of stairs, and ended
up hobbling to a and e for three hours before
emerging on crutches. Twins as well, newborn twins.

Speaker 2 (54:26):
Yeah, that's a disaster. This one's pretty bad too. During
COVID lockdown, eight weeks pregnant and feeling absolutely awful, toddler
put toddler down for a nap. The husband went for
a skateboard and fell off. He came inside to the
house and shows me that he had broken both of
his arms. I work at a hospital, so still had

(54:49):
to go to work. He had to look after our
two year old with cass on both of his arms,
nappy changes and everything. That's so good that he went
for a skateboard. Hey, it was lockdown. Everyone was doing weird,
everyone was getting back into their hobbies. He probably was
dropping in on the half pipe. It's like, I think
I still got it. I'm thirty nine, but a lockdown?

Speaker 1 (55:13):
What else am I going to do?

Speaker 14 (55:16):
Podcast?

Speaker 1 (55:17):
It is a Tuesday, which means we are looking for
a name in a haystack.

Speaker 2 (55:20):
Before five o'clock.

Speaker 1 (55:21):
See three thousand before six o'clock.

Speaker 4 (55:24):
Rather three thousand and seven hundred dollars cash up for
grabs a name in a haystack today it's so much.

Speaker 2 (55:31):
Money out of the blue. If the random person's name
answers the phone of the random business that's selected, they
will win it. I've got a good feeling about today.
I don't know why, but I do.

Speaker 4 (55:43):
Okay, anyway, we'll go looking for a name in a haystack. Shortly,
first home for a birthday.

Speaker 2 (55:48):
Banger birthday, all right, let's do your birthday bang is
number one songs when you turn sixteen will reminisce, and
then we'll play our.

Speaker 1 (55:57):
Favorite spree is going first day spree?

Speaker 2 (56:00):
Hi, Spree. Hello, what have you been doing today's spree?

Speaker 7 (56:05):
Ah?

Speaker 9 (56:06):
Not much, just went for a walk round in today bay.

Speaker 2 (56:10):
Oh nice, any shopping, No.

Speaker 6 (56:12):
Shopping, just recovering from the concussion, so rehab.

Speaker 2 (56:16):
Ah good, well hopefully you're resting up. Hey, what is
your birthday?

Speaker 16 (56:21):
The twenty first of FID two thousand and two.

Speaker 2 (56:23):
All right, that means you were sixteen and twenty eighteen. Spree,

can't do this home may actually, Drake, do you like it? Spree,

(56:43):

Thanks Sprey, no shock. Who's up next?

Speaker 1 (56:56):

Speaker 4 (56:56):
Hey Grayson, Hey Grayson, Grayson, Grayson, Grayson will come back
to Grayson.

Speaker 2 (57:06):
Let's go to Caitlyn. Hi, Caitlin, Hi, Caitlin.

Speaker 8 (57:09):
Hi.

Speaker 2 (57:10):
How's your day being Caitlin?

Speaker 13 (57:12):
Oh pretty good.

Speaker 9 (57:13):
It helped out at my tid's school.

Speaker 2 (57:15):
Oh lovely. What were you doing?

Speaker 9 (57:18):
Oh they were having a craft day, so you know,
when there's paints out you need and another couple of
adult heads.

Speaker 2 (57:23):
Oh you're fun. I thought you were going to say
you're on the touch shop you know my kid school,
op hair one of the what's the consensus? If you
are helping out at your kid's school and you're out,
you're on the touch shop duties? Yeah, do you get
to sneak some food? I don't think the touch shop
is a volunteer situation.

Speaker 1 (57:41):
I think the touch shop is its own business that
operates inside the school.

Speaker 2 (57:45):
Yeah, frowned upon.

Speaker 4 (57:47):
But okay, if you're running the school sausage sizzel, however,
then yeah, feel free to do a one for you
when for me policy?

Speaker 2 (57:54):
Okay? Great, Caitlyn, what is your birthday?

Speaker 9 (57:58):
The fifth of October nineteen?

Speaker 2 (58:00):
Only one? All right? That means you were sixteen in
two thousand and seven and Caitlyn on that day, you
know seven, This was number one? Did you make me?

Speaker 1 (58:14):
I'm not I know that's sorry. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Kaitlyn,
yours was this one.

Speaker 3 (58:22):
Technology.

Speaker 2 (58:23):
It's a classic from justin Timberlake. What do you reckon, Kaitlyn?

Speaker 1 (58:29):
Oh?

Speaker 9 (58:29):
Yeah, pretty good?

Speaker 5 (58:30):
I thank you.

Speaker 2 (58:30):
I think it's pretty bloody good to tell. Yeah, yeah,
Citty sent justin Timberlake, AO Technology.

Speaker 4 (58:36):
Millennial anthem one more for we got the name wrong before.
It's Nathan not Grayson. Hi Nathan, Hi, Nathan, we got
you now. Little Birdie tells us it was your birthday yesterday, Nathan.

Speaker 2 (58:50):
Happy birthday for yesterday. We need to ask him the question.

Speaker 4 (58:53):
We've noticed a trend and we're not going to say
what it is. I don't want to sway you of
people having a certain meal on their birthdays.

Speaker 2 (59:00):
Need to ask you what did you have for dinner
last night? Grace? I mean Nathan? Right? Sorry, we lost
you there?

Speaker 1 (59:10):
What was it?

Speaker 2 (59:13):
Rice and chicken? Would you say there was a sauce
with the chicken, like a butter sauce.

Speaker 1 (59:19):
Did it resemble sort of a curry consistency?

Speaker 17 (59:24):
Not quite?

Speaker 2 (59:26):
Okay, we really wanted to play our new sting. It'll
have to wait, Yeah, it'll have to wait. Nathan, what
year one year were you born? Nineteen ninety nine?

Speaker 1 (59:39):
Got it?

Speaker 2 (59:40):
Okay? You were sixteen in twenty fifteen, and on that
day in twenty fifteen, this was at the top. Give
there it Iss Glen and tiny temper not letting go.
What do you reckon? Nathan?

Speaker 13 (59:56):
Oh yeah, a little bit of a tune.

Speaker 2 (01:00:02):
All right?

Speaker 1 (01:00:02):
Have youy birthday for yesterday?

Speaker 2 (01:00:04):
Nathan?

Speaker 1 (01:00:04):
One choice for me and one choice only at fifty
cent Aotechnology.

Speaker 2 (01:00:10):
I love that technology song, but yeah, I just haven't
heard that Tiny Temper song, Tiny Temper, Don't hate Me, Claudia, Hello, listen, Oh,
Lesson goes. Oh you're not going to pick Drake? Oh,
absolutely not. And I'm also not going to peck Aeotechnology

(01:00:31):
just because we play it a fair amount.

Speaker 1 (01:00:33):
When when was the last time we played it?

Speaker 6 (01:00:35):
A couple of months ago?

Speaker 2 (01:00:36):
But we've never played not Letting Go?

Speaker 6 (01:00:38):
And for that reason, and because I think it's a
better song, let's play that one.

Speaker 18 (01:00:43):
Job Nathan, your birthday yesterday and you just one birthday
bang of well, sweet Brian Clinton from twenty fifteen, it's
Tiny Temper, Ready for.

Speaker 2 (01:00:53):
The summer, go get hell.

Speaker 10 (01:00:54):
Look the z M podcast, Neworks, Tiny Timber, Jess Glenn
not Letting Go, which I was a bit of choice
than Man.

Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
That was a fun song.

Speaker 8 (01:01:07):
That was fun.

Speaker 2 (01:01:07):
Yeah, Yeah, Tiny Timber is good, ma'am.

Speaker 4 (01:01:09):
Yeah's Jess Glynn. She's got such an iconic voice. She
sounds like summer to me, and so does Tiny Timber.
I don't know it's if it's because I associate them
both with rhythm and vines.

Speaker 2 (01:01:21):
Yeah, probably was Tiny Timber.

Speaker 1 (01:01:23):
Earthquake, No it's Labyrinth.

Speaker 2 (01:01:27):
Did Labyrinth? Was he on it too? I don't think so.
Garbronth come in? Was it Labyrinth? That went on to
do all the music for Euphoria, Yes, until the last season. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:01:40):
And he also he did such a good job LSD,
which was Labyrinth Sea and diplo Oh that was Labyrinth
as well.

Speaker 1 (01:01:59):
We come in, No Tiny Timber, just bros.

Speaker 2 (01:02:15):
And gentlemen. This is something Nikar ground Cheka.

Speaker 1 (01:02:19):
This is such a good song. I'm gonna say twenty sixteen,
but I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:02:30):
Okay, anyone else I already googled it. Sorry, I guess
what is it? Can you believe?

Speaker 1 (01:02:38):
By twelve twenty twelve, he had a banger with Emily
Sande as well. Do you remember Beneath Your Beautiful? Of
course that was huge, right, Okay?

Speaker 2 (01:02:57):
Did he have a song girls like or is that
Tiny Temper?

Speaker 1 (01:03:02):
I think that was Tiny Timber? Yeah, yeah, yeah. He
had a song with Zindaya.

Speaker 2 (01:03:05):
It's z it ms. Brill and Clint Podcast.

Speaker 4 (01:03:08):
Sit in with Brian Clint on a Tuesday and on
a Tuesday we go looking for a.

Speaker 7 (01:03:14):
Name.

Speaker 4 (01:03:16):
Hey, hardest goddamn game on the goddamn radio.

Speaker 2 (01:03:22):
Irish darn it. We've been playing so many years and
never have we won.

Speaker 4 (01:03:27):
Not once, and yet we persist because it's gonna happen.
And when it does, oh boy, it'll be ten trick.

Speaker 1 (01:03:34):
The release, the exaltation, the climax that we feel from
giving this thing away. I might explode.

Speaker 2 (01:03:40):
Look, I'm gonna say it here, right here, right now,
if we ever get a name in a haystack, we're
gonna win a radio award for it, surely because I commitment. Well,
why are we doing it if not to the bit.
That's the only reason we're doing it. We call a
random business and we have a random name. If that
name answers today, they'll win.

Speaker 4 (01:03:59):
How three thousand, seven hundred dollars because this is attempt
number seventy four.

Speaker 2 (01:04:04):
Wow, we need some good luck.

Speaker 4 (01:04:08):
Okay, we have some positive thoughts from everybody listening in Claudia,
I believe from you today.

Speaker 1 (01:04:13):
We need a name, yes, sir, and I'm.

Speaker 6 (01:04:14):
