(00:00):
We have an opportunity to get thisright, and I know we'll get away.
I trust you, I trust everysingle one of you. You know
how to do this. You knowIowa starts it. You know that you
correct it. You know that youcontinue to go and then my sweet state

(00:26):
of South Carolina brings it home. That's what we do. That's that's that's
Nikki Hayley. Just yesterday. Seeyesterday, it was yesterday, I think,
yeah, that was her just yesterdaytalking to people in I No,
sorry, New Hampshire because we haveIowa and just to com and then we
got New Hampshire. I don't dislikeIowan's I'm just we've been kissing y'all's ass

(00:49):
for like months now. I mean, and forgive the Portuguese, but there's
no other way to put it.That's exactly what's happening. Welcome to the
show. Second day of the new, second day of the new I don't
do any of that new new,new year, knew me stuff. It's
a new year, same old me. Punch in the neck, So welcome,
Welcome to the show. Top ofthis first hour, we have Florida

(01:11):
Governor round de Santa's coming on.Later in the program. We're gonna talk
to him. I'm just gonna throwall this stuff at him and just let's
see what he does. Let's justsee. Let's be like, what do
you think get this when you cando that? Here's this SoundBite? What
about this one? Just see whathe does. I mean, yeah,
I like it, but I alsolike, you know, to see how
people react to stuff, you knowwhat I'm saying, and so well,
so we'll see. But anyway,so that was Nicki Haley yesterday. I

(01:36):
so the what I saw are Ihave friends in Iowa. Some of them
they're kind of all over the place. They like Desantas some of them.
There's a couple of them. Ilike Trump. Nobody likes Nicki Haley.
I have no Iowa friends that likeNikki Haley. Is that weird? I
mean, I'm sure they like herpersonally, like they wouldn't, you know,

(01:57):
throw a pickle at her if theysaw on a king, but they
just they just don't prefer her forthis particular job. Anyway. So long
story short, they were all sothis is what got me thinking about this.
They're like, what do you meanfix that? What do you mean
New Hampshire affects that you mean,we're gonna get it wrong. And here's

(02:19):
one thing that you don't do.So this is, let me explain to
you the Iowa thing. If you'renew here too, if you've never paid
attention to the primaries, we I'mgonna be very straight with you, because
everybody else is an operative and they'rea buck kisser. We do this thing
where we pretend that the only statethat exists in the Union is Iowa.
To hell with all of you, everybody else. If you're not in Iowa,

(02:44):
then you know who are you.I mean, they don't Texas don't
care, Missouri don't care. Theylove Iowa. Then next they love New
Hampshire a little less, but theylove New Hampshire. And then they lose
South Carolina a little lesson. Theylove New Hampshire, but they love South
Carolina. So we go through thisspan of time where we have politicians that

(03:06):
spend an inordan amount of time kissingbutt. It's the buck kissing competition.
It's the delegate race, is whatit is. It's the chase for the
delegates. It's all. That's whatit's about. And so you know,
as a as as a result ofthis, that's why you see so much
about Iowa, and well you hearso much about them, and everybody talks

(03:28):
to them, and oh my gosh, we love corn. You all these
politicians go up to Iowa the statefair. We love corn. Oh my
gosh, they love corn. Andthen that's what they do. All of
them do this. They all dothis. Democrats Republicans are like operatives.
The operatives go up there. Welove corn too, Like you get people
from Palm Beach that go up there. I just love Iowa. I love

(03:50):
all And then they look at theyremember all their notes and then they just
try to recite. This's just howit is now. Iowa people know this
because they're not dumb. But theylove it. They love it because it's
the one time every four years. It's the time that everybody puts Iowan's first.
Right, everybody puts Iowans first. So they are the princess of this

(04:13):
party. They are the homecoming queen. They get the crown at all of
it. And I honestly think thatIowans there's a little there's a little,
you know. I think they takejoy and watching so many of these politicians
come out. Our favorite cane iswhen they go to the Iowa State Fair.

(04:34):
And it's always the meat on thestick, and that what it is.
It's the thing on the it's thecorn, it's the corn dog,
whatever fried. Any meat on astick, and they there's always somebody who
in artfully eats it every time.I feel like they have classes privately on
how to not look like you couldbe photoshopped while eating meat on a stick.

(04:57):
And so they all go up.And I really think that Iowans secretly,
they'll never tell you this, butI think they enjoy putting these candidates
in this position. Okay, Ifeel like that's how that got started.
Welcome to the Iowa State Fair.So you say you love Iowa. Have
you had our They wink at eachother, meat on a stick and then
hand it over to the politician.I really which you know. I mean

(05:18):
if I kind of feel like,if you're gonna get condescended to and everyone's
gonna act like you're the number oneprincess at the party for this certain period
of time, then yeah, thengo you go ahead, you get you
get free rein to do that.So that's where we're at now. So
then after after the first, afterIowa, then nobody cares anymore. Iowall
go. It's all sports and cornand that's all anybody you know, that's

(05:42):
that's what. That's what people thinkof. If you like how people think
Texas is all what uh brisket andwhat cowboys? I don't know, well
I guess that's what they think.I don't know. Missouri is all what
the Mississippi and Mark Twain. Thereyou go, the arch and the Ozarks.
That's it. Maybe a river, you know what I mean. But

(06:03):
I just I am endlessly fascinated bythis very unique aspect of American political culture.
And then after this, everybody's gonnago to New Hampshire. Oh my
gosh, New Hampshire. We loveyou New Hampshire. We love granite,
we love it so amazing. Wellthey're called the granite state, but theness
just shut up. We love granite, just like how in Iowa we loved

(06:26):
the corn. The corn's amazing. We love corn, we love the meat
on the stick. We love yourfairs. New Hampshire, we love your
granite. I don't know. Thenthey go to South Carolina after this.
I'm just why they sit on balesof hay. Oh my gosh. All
the ads you'll see it, you'llsee it. There was an ad way

(06:46):
back when, and uh it wasa Bill Clinton and Al Gore and they
were in Iowa and they were literallysitting on hay and I swear to you,
hen's the sky. Al Gore hada piece of straw on his teeth
like he was chewing straw. Dudecame from a tobacco farm in Tennessee.
I mean, I'm pretty sure likethey descended from they were plantation people.
I'm pretty sure the man never wentout in a field work today in his

(07:09):
life. He's out there chewing onhay. I'm like, you're not the
You're not the donkey. I meanyou are a jackass, but you're not
a don I mean, what areyou doing? But they do that.
They go out there like, look, we got our flannel shirts, we
got our jeans, we got ourthis and that. I oh my gosh.
And what really gets me is theextent to which these operatives go.
They bend over backwards with this stuff. Right. So I'm I'm just fascin

(07:32):
anybody, see anyway you have NikkiHaley was in Iowa. That's not the
thing that you say to people inIowa. Or she was in New Hampshire
saying this talking about Iwans after shewas just in Iowa. That's not a
thing that you say publicly when you're, you know, talking about getting votes.
Because Iowan's heard you, they heardyou say that about them in New

(07:55):
Hampshire. You can't go to NewHampshire and talk to back about islands and
think Iowans are going to listen toyou. We're gonna hear it. It's
not how any of that works. So she says this, that's gonna be
very interesting. What does that mean? And then South so New Hampshire corrects
it in South Carolina brings it home. What is there to correct? Yeah,

(08:15):
New Hampshire, you're gonna correct Iowa. She goes up there. I
love you, Iowa, I loveyou. Oh my gosh, New Hampshire.
I'm so glad to be out ofthere. So glad. It's like,
damn children of the Corn. Soglad. This is weird, right,
She's not having the best time lately. She's exasperated. Now here's one

(08:37):
of the differences between a nicky Haleyand a Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Sarah Huckabee
Sanders is she's exasperated, but youyou empathize with her. Nicki Haley gets
exasperated and she makes you the enemy. That's at least how it comes across
intended or not. Sarah Huckaby standersmade you feel she was going to turn

(09:00):
the car and pull the car overand beat you to death with a flip
flop. You know, she'd sigh. She'd never roll her eyes, but
she'd sigh very dramatically, take abig breath, and she's looking down at
her notes. Whichever. She wasat the podium of the Waiver've go on
the campaign trail even as governor, and she just when she was exasperated,
she internalized it. Nikki Hayley externalizesit. There's a big difference here.

(09:22):
So she had the Civil war commentthat was not great, huh, and
then she had this and now thisis coming out now this was a few
years ago when she said this. However, I do feel though that it
is germane just as much today asit was the day that she said it.

(09:43):
So this is a flashback audio whereshe was policing language about a legal
immigration listen ectly. But let's keepin mind these people that are wanting to
come here, they want to comefor a better life too. They have
kids too, they have a hearttoo. They so we don't need to
be disrespectful. We don't need totalk about them as criminals. They're not.

(10:05):
They're families that want a better alinement and they're desperate. You know
what, you can be a familyand also be a criminal. I know
this is shocking, This is reallyshocked. You can be a dad and
also be a criminal. What? No, you can be It's pretty unbelievable
that you can. You can.You can do a number of you can

(10:26):
be a number of things. Youcan wear shoes and be a criminal.
What is She was saying that shedoesn't like the term criminal as it's applied
to illegal immigrant or illegal alien, which is actually a legitimately legal term.
When you enter illegally, that iswhat we call a cook crime. Right.
Crime. A crime is an illegalaction, meaning it is violating existing

(10:52):
laws, breaking existing law, whichis what a crime is. A person
who commits a crime is called acriminal. Now you may not like someone
being called a criminal, but thatdoesn't make them less of a law breaker.
Is my point? So to sayto tell people that they can't that
they somehow must refrain from calling peoplewho break the law, criminals. You're

(11:16):
putting the burden on those people. It's not the it's not the responsibility of
citizens to point out that or toapologize or make excuses for people who break
the inter of the country illegally, and that's immediately breaking the law. It
doesn't matter. This play to thisemotional play, this play to association is
irrelevant. That's like a policing speech. You know, the people who are

(11:39):
who are innocent citizens, particularly inborder towns, they're families too, the
ones right now that are dealing withan onslaught of people coming across the border
and and vying for resources and sellingdrugs and doing all of this stuff,
and then increase in cartel activity. Those are all dads and moms and all
of that too. So do theynot have the do they not get maybe
first con iteration as citizens of theseUnited States? Do they not get first

(12:03):
consideration against this lawlessness? I justfind it incredibly tone deaf. I hope
she's asked that at the debate, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.
Hell Tech and the awesome PMR thirty, which is a very very awesome,
reliable firearm made by the great companyin Florida cel Tech headed up by George
Kelgrin, So PMR thirty is greatfor personal or home defense. It's I

(12:24):
mean, it's super lightweight, thirtyround twenty two Magnum. It's perfect for
hiking, backpacking, camping. TheCMR is you know, the carbon version
of the pm R. It's likethe big brother. PMR thirty is great.
I've used that when educating my kidsor friends. You don't regularly go
and shoot, just just to incorporatesome some good target acquisition, and it's

(12:48):
just some some good grip, goodstance, et cetera. Especially because it's
that if they're recoil shits, it'sreally really great to go and do some
range day plinking. But you havea high as fiber optic front end rear
sites, you get great target acquisition, integrated accessory reel for mounting a light
five pound trigger, you got anI've got that option. Like I said,
amount an optic to contribute to theaccuracy. And the CMR thirty is

(13:15):
the if you're looking for a carbine, that's the PMR thirty's big brother,
and it takes the same thirty roundtwenty two mag Magnum magazine with the with
the ballistic advantage. Learn more aboutthat PMR thirty at Celtech weapons dot com.

Tell them Dana sent you. Andnow all of the news you would
probably miss. It's time for Dana'sQuick five. All right, So first

(13:39):
up, we're gonna get to theEpstein list stuff. Don't think I didn't
theater forgot about it. I haven't. There's a lot here. Universal overtakes
Disney as the highest grossing gross grossingstudio at the twenty twenty three box office.
I don't even know how, butthey did, according to a variety
Universal Well, I mean, it'sobviously easy easy to know. I didn't

(14:01):
they it was because Oppenheimer that putUniversal over the top. They said that
they had twenty four films blah blahblah, Super Mario Brothers, Oppenheimer Megan
with the Little Girl Robot, collectedalmost five billion worldwide in ticket sales,
and they said that it was thefirst time since twenty fifteen that Disney was
not the global box office leader.Firefighters battle a blaze at Dolphins Star Tyreek

(14:22):
Hills home in Southwest Ranches. Thisis according to NBC Miami. The wide
receiver was at practice. He wasn'thome, but his home went up in
flames, heavy smoke coming out. They had aerial shots and everything. He
arrived and he was hugging family members. I guess they got everybody out,
but man alive. That was likecrazy. They say, Gosh, I

(14:43):
don't care about the Kanye West headlines. I don't care. I would rather
jump off my roof and permanently mademyself than ever have to talk about this
dude for real or the first trapconservative quote unquote influencers that rushed to kiss
his butt. Plant based sandwiches, salads, and pizza are not health and
meat options, A completely obvious studyhas revealed. Yeah, I mean you

(15:05):
could eat you could eat vegetables andsuper healthy stuff every single day, and
you could also hate life, youknow. I mean they said that researchers
analyzed They looked at one that eighthundred and sixty eight meals from fifty fast
food chains across five countries. Theysaid the vegan options dull contain less protein
were really you mean, the meatlessoptions didn't have as much protein as the

(15:30):
protein options. Hoo hoo. Theyalso said that they had more carbs and
sugar in the vegan options. Whatwhat really, it's the stupidest thing I've
ever heard of my life. Theyactually did a study on this. Wh
if they do a study on howsome living creatures on Earth they breathe in

(15:52):
the water and some of us breatheout of the water. I mean it's
that. Yeah, I know what. Uh, I don't think people understand
how this works. According to theMetro, it's a British papa. They
said that apparently. I guess theydo this every year. People are resetting
their virginity on New Year's Day.Okay, that's not Yeah, it's not

(16:15):
how that works. You can't likereset you know, if you were a
big flaming you know who bag,you can't just be like, wait,
new Year knew me. It's notlike that anymore. It's not how that
works. It's just not you don'tget to you don't get to go back.
Okay, you don't get to goback. You know how you can
prevent it, though, is keepyour knees kissing. As my grandmother would

(16:36):
say, keep your knees kissing.Just think about it. If it doesn't
make sense to you, just thinkso. They said that that's actually a
thing where it trends. It's trendingwhere people say that they are resetting.
I mean, you can stop beingpromiscuous, but you can never just reset
it and be like, Okay, that's it. I'm just it's no more.
That's that's said. I'm all brandnew. It doesn't work out,

(16:59):
Yeah, than work out that way. And also, we told you about
the We told you about the Epsteinlists being revealed. Michael Jackson was mentioned,
but that was it, Like hewas just mentioned. It's like a
hodgepodge of weirdos and like names thatyou never thought would be in any way
related all mentioned. We're going totalk about that coming up. Stick with

(17:21):
us more of The Dana Show backafter this. Looking for the drive through
version of The Dana Show, checkout the best highlights from every show and
Dana's Absurd Truth podcast posted daily fromThe Dana Show. Dealing dealing with the
issue as the administration is also fightingto keep up you know, to remove
razor wire along the border that isintended to keep you know, his serge

(17:45):
lowered to keep people out from crossingillegally. Government Abbott's razor wire does not
prevent it does not prevent non citizensfrom unlawfully crossing. That's not what it
does. Okay, do you havesuch an issue with it then? So
if it doesn't, that's current JohnPierre answering this question from Jackie Heinrich yesterday.

(18:06):
So if it doesn't, if it, if it doesn't stop any from
anyone from crossing, then why doeswhy do you care if it's down there,
Let the man have his razor wire. Why do you care that it's
down there? Welcome back to theshow, Dania last year with you top
of actually sorry, bottom of thisfirst hour? Now, why do you
care? That's good? That's thatwas there's this big there having a legal
fight on the razor wire that's inthe water. I just I you wouldn't

(18:30):
have these measures if you had anadministration that actually enforced border law. That's
it. I mean, enforce thelaw the end. Don't call him criminals
though otherways, Nikki Haley may popup out of the ether and being like,
that's rude. We're gonna talk moreabout Iowa. Can we talk about
this weird Epstein list? Is itnow? I want to clarify the list

(18:51):
is public information now with unredacted names. So a lot of this stuff was
already out there, but the nameswere not made public, and now it
is, so it's unredacted information fromstuff that had been out there. And
is anybody shocked about some of thestuff. I'm not saying that to downplay

(19:11):
it at all, but like, for instance, Bill Clinton being a big
o pervert. They said it wassaid that in the in the documentation that
he liked him young. That's sonasty. Can I just I don't want
to vomit? You know that phrase, I'm going to vomit a little in
my mouth. I want to vomita lot in everybody's mouth. It's so
gross er. So these the namesthat popped up, and what's his face?

(19:33):
David Copperfield's name popped up now notin conjunction with apparently using the services.
He had asked a girl if shewas aware that she and others were
being used to procure more girls. So all these people who were linked to
Epstein, this is all part ofthis defamation case brought against Jeline Maxwell by

(19:56):
Virginia Roberts who is or now VirginiaGuffy, And she said she was the
one who made the claims against what'shis face? Andrew that prince over in
Britain, and now now you haveAl Gore, Kevin Spacey, Stephen Hawking
were included in evidence filings. Theysaid, DiCaprio was mentioned, Kate Blanchett,
Cameron Diaz, I don't believe you, and Bruce will I don't believe

(20:18):
you. Naomi Campbell, Let's said. They said, none of those,
none of them have been accused ofany involvement with his crimes. He was
a name dropper, so a lotof these also are names that have just
been mentioned by uh By, likeGuffrey when she would hear when he would
drop names. When he would, she would he would say something and she
would remember the name. She didsay that she was who's a oh gosh

(20:45):
Pritzker, the GUYU governor of Illinois. Yeah, yeah, yeah, his
brother. Apparently she said that shewas forced to have romantical times with him.
Yeah, and he's a big crowddonor all that stuff. So they
that's his name was one of thethere's two people whose names haven't been unmasked

(21:08):
yet haven't been released, and Ithink that there's some legal wrangling that's still
going on with that. But theysaid at one point and looking at all
of this. It's kind of wild. Like Stephen Hawking. They said he
was trying to reward one of hisvictim's friends if they could prove if they

(21:30):
could prove Guffrey's allegations false, includingan allegation that Stephen Hawking. Yes,
that Stephen Hawking had participated in anunderage orgy. Now he was pictured on
the Pedo Island in two thousand andsix, the island called Little Saint James.

(21:51):
He was pictured there before. ButI the email read it was from
Epstein to Maxwell and said he wascontent for her to issue a reward to
any of Guffrey's friends to counter herclaims. And they had the Clinton dinner
one they had. Yeah, that'sjust weird. It's just weird. Apparently

(22:12):
Michael Jackson's name was mentioned. Theysaid that they met Michael Jackson at Epstein's
home in Palm Beach, Florida.Nothing unto what happened. She did not
offer him a massage. It's justweird. Like all of this stuff is
so gross. I feel like weall need a bleach bath after reading this
stuff, and now some of themhere's why. Some of the names were
mentioned. So here's a transcript justto give you an example. So not

(22:34):
every name that you hear means thatthey were literally like a customer of ill
repute. Right, These were peoplethat Epstein would name drop to these girls,
and he because he was a namedropper obviously, but for instance,
she was asked she was like givinghim a massage and he would drop name
drop Leonardo DiCaprio or Kate Blanchett orBruce Willis that kind of thing. That's

(22:59):
why they're names came up was becauseshe used them as either an example or
this is you know, this wassomething that you know he had just he
had just mentioned them kind of onthe side. Tom Pritzker is the Pritzker
guy. She uh, They saidthat they their spokesperson said they continue to
veheminently deny any allegations of impropriety,et cetera. But her deposition named a

(23:23):
lot of these prominent figures, includingTom Pritsker, who's a billionaire US businessman.
J. B. Pritzker's his brotherJ. B. Pritsker is you
know Governor of Illinois Alan Dershowitz wasmentioned. Let's see, there's a celebrity
hairstylist. This guy I've never heardof was mentioned. Uh, and these
these other individuals, now they areaccused of engaging in you know, uh,

(23:48):
that kind of consumerism. I don'tknow how she want to put it.
She even named Bill Richardson, whowas the late New Mexico governor,
so obviously al Gore was mentioned. And then they and then Bill Clinton apparently,
and they said there was a transcriptthat said that somebody had said,

(24:11):
oh, yeah, Bill Clinton,Yeah he likes them young. Is so
gross? Is anybody kind of isnobody? I don't think any'd be surprised
about that one. Not that itmakes it any You don't have to I
should have to say that, butit's just it's weird. Now, Epstein's
brother had apparently said that the Clinton's, you know, had a lot there

(24:33):
were a lot of perks that theyenjoyed from the Epstein's, Like I guess
what, visiting properties and planes andall that stuff. But nobody's with regard
to this case. No one's yetbeen accused of the act, but it's
really being highly insinuated that it happened. And Epstein's brother was like, well,

(24:55):
if Jeffrey Epstein said all that heknew about Clinton Trump the election would
have to be canceled. Now,Trump was was mentioned, but not as
a consumer. You know how howI said that other people like name dropping
and things like that. It's justreally wild. But where's the I think

(25:15):
the Tom Pritzker thing, I wasunaware of that one, But where's the
Is there anything that stands out asa big bombshell to Ukane in this I
was reading through these names last year. Yeah, I read through the names
too, and nothing really that I'mnot surprised to see any of these.
There was a couple that I sawthat I thought were like, wow,

(25:38):
one hundred and thirty seven times, okay, yeah, he just you look
at Epstein and he just looks likehe's skeezy. He and Maxwell they just
look skeezy. So I don't knowwhat's gonna I mean whatever. I know
that there's a couple of other names. I guess they act like those are
the big names that have to bereleased. So I don't know, but

(25:59):
man, it is uh, it'sgrowth, it's I'm just looking over some
of that. When they released thesedocuments, the website that hosted them crashed
obviously because everybody wanted to see them. But yeah, these are the they
were released last night. Everyone waswondering, they're all the depositions that were
taken in the case, and theyhave the quotes like the Clinton one,

(26:22):
this was the testimony given by oneof the victims. It just it sounds
like, I mean, you canput two to two together, you you
It doesn't outright accuse him of impropriety, but it obviously speaks on a foundation
of him having committed it. AndI I mean, it just just it's

(26:44):
just wild. And it also itseems like a lot of people were aware
of Epstein's character, just like alot of people were aware of Harvey Weinstein's
character. I mean, I don'teven I've never worked in Hollywood. I
have no never had an interest.Despite what the left loves to say about
conservative women, not every one ofthem has ever been an actress or wants

(27:06):
to be people. But they've Imean, I've heard people who are just
kind of associated with that industry whoapparently knew about all the stuff that Weinstein
was involved in. And this seemsto be very very similar to that.
A lot of people in the upperechelon of really leftist politics and business were

(27:27):
well aware of who this guy wasand what he was doing so. The
fact that you had to get tothis point just to get some of these
names out suggests that there are alot of people trying to cover their backsides.
It makes me wonder too, ifa lot of the stuff that's being
released, if it hasn't been reallysanitized or reduced down as you know,

(27:48):
as a way to sanitize it.I did notice some redacted information on the
original dot dump that could have beenlike HIPPA type stuff where there was testimony
of certain like someone's health ruation. That's about it. As far as the
redactions, I thought that I didn'tsee many as many as I thought i'd
see. Yeah, yeah, soit's it's uh yeah. And everybody was

(28:11):
talking about Clinton perhaps being named alreadyin this. I mean, that's not
surprising. The guy had that portraitof Clinton in his New York place in
that blue dress, which is weird. Also, we have more to get
into. We have days of theseUnited States on the way, also coming
up some of the latest with foreignpolicy. I've I've always had this on

(28:33):
the back burner and I've always kindof watched over this, you know,
the different ports around the world andpassages, like whether it's the Suez Canal,
whether it's you know, the PanamaCanal, things like that. So
now in the Red Sea, theHouthy have been really really popping off.
There's Hoothy territory right there, justsomewhat northeast of Saudi Arabia and the Red

(28:53):
Sea. And obviously the Houthy area terrorist organization back by Iran. They've
been carrying out these attacks on merchantvessels in the Red Sea and this is
a very very trafficked area of trade, cargo, et cetera. And it's
disrupting world trade. It's disrupting youknow, delivery and shipment and everything else.

(29:19):
So the US Navy responded, theysunk three Hoothy boats in the Red
Sea. And then now Hesbel iscalling for well they're still calling for ethnic
cleansing and Gaza, but that noweveryone's wondering if Hesbel is going to get
involved as a retaliatory measure because they'reall linked, they're all Iranian back.
And then there was a US strikethat killed a pro Iran militia commander and
their Bagdad headquarters. That news cameout just late yesterday evening. So that's

(29:45):
that's all. There's a lot ofstuff to kind of keep an eye on
that. We're going to touch onsome of that. The latest with Iowa.
Also, I was gonna get tothis yesterday USA Boxing. I'm not
gonna watch USA Boxing anymore. Band. I'm not watching That's not welcome in
my house. And I'll explain whyhere. Coming up, we have a
lot more on the waistick with usdays at these United States. Next,
don't let FOMO get the best ofyou. Stay in the loop and ahead

(30:06):
of the curve by following Dana onApple, Spotify or wherever you get your
podcasts like SAMs through the Outer Glass. So are the days of the United
States? Equality suggest often everybody shouldget the same thing. Well, that

(30:26):
often assumes everybody started out in thesame place. I don't know, as
opposed to equity, which is everyoneshould end up in the same place.
And if you then understand not everybodystarted out in the same place, you
understand some people need more so weall end up in the same place.
That's such a morally bankrupt concept.Equity is evil. The practice of equity

(30:51):
is absolutely evil. That's Kamala Harristalking about with her mask on talking about
equity versus equality Equity is the practiceof discrimination to achieve the same outcome,
whereas equality is the practice of providingsame opportunities but without guarantee of outcomes.

(31:12):
Because equity denies variables and differentiations likechoice and discipline willpower things like that.
I mean you absolutely you have toyou have to purposefully incorporate and practice discrimination.
You don't achieve equality through inequality, and that's what equity preaches that in

(31:36):
order to have the same then youhave to practice discrimination. And equity is
is a morally bankrupt belief set.It really is. And she's they try
to define it as somehow being kinderor something, you know, like that,

(31:57):
it's so stupid. You don't well, you don't to guarantee an outcome
is a lie. It's like inthe United States, there's no guarantee of
happiness. You just have the freedomto pursue it. And choice all comes
into play. By sidelining someone elsebecause their background might be different than another

(32:22):
person's background, you are ineffectively you'reeffectively punishing that person for having a better
background. And as someone who wasraised by a single parent who grew up
poor as dirt, poorer than anyof my contemporaries. I do not know
any one of my actual acquaintance thatgrew up poorer than I did. I
grew up the poorest kid. Iknew. I did not have enough money

(32:46):
for snacks at school. I didn'teven have enough money for notebook paper.
I lived off of hand me downs. Everything was a hand me down.
I was lucky if I got abirthday present. My mom worked three jobs.
My whole family had to pitch into help. And everything that I
got was because I worked so hardand I put in so many hours,

(33:09):
and I had a really insane amountof discipline and just went full hog and
pursued everything I could. And ifI did not have an opportunity, because
I grew up in southern Missouri, you know it's not like there was you
know, it was just brimming withopportunity. If I didn't have an opportunity,
I made it happen. So Ialso completely reject the argument from people

(33:35):
that, well, you know, you just have no I didn't have.
If I didn't have it, Imade it. I made it happen.
I would seek it out. Andthat's not even I mean, I'm baby
gen x. Some people say I'man elderly millennial. Those people need to
get kicked in the head because I'mbaby gen X. It's not a generational
thing. It's nothing like that. It's and there's not even that much difference
between all of those generations anyway toeven argue that this is not like the

(33:58):
World War two generational Okay, Ithink it's an excuse by people who feel
as though they are a little bitmore entitled than their average bear. Equity
is a religion of entitlement, andyou're penalizing people. Some people have bombs
and dads, some people don't.Some people have dads, some people don't
have moms. Some people have moms, some people don't have dads. Some
people are born rich, some peopleare born poor. But to treat something

(34:21):
that someone can't help and apply tothem as some sort of secular original sin
is evil, absolutely evil, andit's an excuse for greed. It is
what people try to argue when theydon't want to just come out and be
honest that they are practicing the sinof greed. They are coveting what someone
else has, and so they wantto sideline you for it. Equity is

(34:44):
just a mask for greed and sinand people who practice it are abominable.
They're evil. This is it's anevil practice. So that was a for
her to say that, and witha smile on her face. I mean,
she benefits from all of that stuff. Of course. This is someone

(35:05):
who didn't start out. Kamala Harrisgrew up rich compared to me. Barack
Obama grew up rich compared to me. That man grew up with a silver
spoon in his mouth. I don'tknow the wealth that o Barack Obama was
born into and raised with. Thathe has. That's privilege. I didn't
have that. So I reject allof that stuff, from all of these
arguments, from these disingenuous people. All right, coming up, we got

(35:29):
a lot more on the way, including the latest there was a school shooting
in Iowa that took place this morning, their first day back after Christmas break.
We've got some economic news to getinto. We've got some wookery.
We also have energy, foreign policy, the latest at the Epstein list,
immigration, and more, and GovernorRan De Santis joins us later on in

(35:50):
the program stick with Us. Wehave more people coming across our border every
single day than what New York getsin a week or a month, and
so it's outrageous that they're saying thatthey cannot deal with this. But the
last point, Dana, is thefact that there's only one reason why this
is happening, and that's because JoeBiden has eliminated all of the four policies

(36:14):
that Donald Trump put in place thatled to the lowest illegal border crossings in
forty years. The Reman in Mexicopolicy, the Title of forty two policy,
the end of catching, release, and building a border wall. If
the Bide administration was enforcing the immigrationlaws passed by Congress, the mayors of
New York, the leaders of NewJersey and Chicago, et cetera, they

(36:37):
would not be having these problems. They wouldn't be having these problems if they
just followed the law. Wow,it's weird. How if you just follow
the law, you just don't havethese problems. Well, that was the
Texas Governor Greg Abbot. He's goingto be on the show tomorrow. I
got a lot of questions for himabout everything that's this deluge. Just in

(36:58):
December alone, was it came totwo hundred and ninety thousand plus illegal immigrants
across the border. People who arejust coming in. You know it's there
observed. Yeah, it's not includingthe Gadaways and all that stuff. Didn't
include any of them. Welcome backto the program. Top of the second
hour, Dana Lash here with you. You can listen coast to coast.

(37:20):
You can listen terrestrially. You canstream the radio program, and you can
watch the simul cast the video componentof the radio show on channel three forty
seven Direct TV, as well asFacebook and YouTube. The UH issue and
I was looking at this. Letme pull this up because there's obviously a
huge cost to this. I havea friend, maybe no, Mett Marsden.

(37:45):
He's been in a number of differentmovies. He was in Rambos and
Black Hawk Down all this stuff. He has his oldest son lives in the
UK. And Marsden is now anAmerican citizen here, but he's he's been
here for like over a decade, living here for thirteen years, I think,
and finally became an American citizen. And his son he cannot stay for

(38:09):
an extended period of time because he'snot a citizen. And this is a
guy who makes money, adds tothe tax space. You know, he's
not committing crimes. He entered thecountry legally. I mean, those are
the people that you want, rightthey come in, they have enough respect
for the because like I wouldn't tryto go and enter Britain or the Bahamas
or anywhere else illegally. That wouldbe super disrespectful to a country. And

(38:32):
also if I claimed to want tofollow their laws, then how would I
do that By the first thing Ido is break the law by entering it.
But his son, he can't gethim to live with him. It's
just wild because of how immigration lawis. I was reading this piece and

(38:52):
it comes by way. It wasjust statistician. Statistician who put this out
looking at total h one b visaregistrations, a number of high skilled workers
who want to work here in theUnited States, and there's a cap at
eighty five thousand that will be filled. And you know when you're entering,

(39:15):
I mean, you can apparently comeright across the southern border, hop,
skip and a jump. But yetif you're trying to legally move to the
United States, it is so problematic. It's prohibitively so especially, I mean,
there are so many other friends ofmine immigrated from India. They were

(39:37):
engaged coming to the United States. He's a doctor, for crying out loud,
had to fight and waited forever beforehe became a citizen, before his
wife, and it took him,i want to say, like eleven to
twelve years, and even with himbeing as skilled as he is in medicine.

(40:00):
But yet, and the people whoget the angriest over illegal immigration are
people who immigrated here legally. Imean, we're angry too, But imagine
having to wait over a decade toget into a country and then watch as
people just come across the border, and because they entered across the border somehow,
all of the sympathy is expected tobe on their part, all of
the consideration is expected to be towardsthem. To help with everyone else.

(40:22):
You can understand why legal immigrants whoare now are American citizens and why they
get so why they feel the waythat they do about this. It's understandable,
but it is crazy when you looklegal immigration should be. I mean,
if you're coming to the country, you should do it legally. It
is insane to see this and itused to be celebrated to be when you

(40:49):
went through your naturalization process and youtook your head, you're swearing it or
your oath. You took your oathas a citizen. We had a friend
a couple of years ago who becamean American citizen, and we had if
it were not for the ridiculous pandemicrestrictions, we would have been able to
go and watch it as we hadbeen invited. But they found out that
it was actually only really them andthe spouse and then their kids couldn't even

(41:15):
be there to see them become anAmerican citizen. But take the oath.
And they used to give you likelittle pins or little flags, and they
didn't even do that anymore. Itused to be thing where you it was
like celebratory. Now it doesn't evenseem that way to the people that I
you know, the folks that Ihave friends of mine, or folks that
I know who've gone through This doesn'teven seem to be But they compare that
to the way they treat people whocome across the border illegally. So I

(41:37):
don't know, I look at this. We got to Greg ab It on
tomorrow to talk about this because they'realso having Kin pulled this up for me.
This is audio sound by two sohr two. This is the big
deal that they're all fighting over. The House is saying, look, we're
not going to fund a single thinguntil we get border funding. This is
Chuck shom we're speaking about it.Listen, when the House claims to ageorge

(42:00):
as the only solution, which everyDemocrat has voted against, I believe both
House and Senate. I certainly everySenator voted, Every Democratic senator voted against
it. I think every Democratic Housemember voted against it as well. If
not, it was almost every one. We're not going to get a deal.
But I think that if we passsomething in the Senate, and look,

(42:20):
we're working hard to get that donebecause I say it's hard, it's
hard. Well, it wouldn't beif you guys just did what you're supposed
to do. Wouldn't be. Wouldn'tbe. So this is the US,
the HR two Secure the Border Act, and they want to use they want
to verify you know, employment, they're they're they're fighting over they've been fighting

(42:43):
over this for a couple of monthsnow, and they're some of the senators
are negotiating, they're trying to getin and negotiate some funding. But you
have people like Chip Roy and othersthat are holding the line and saying unless
we get what we want, whatwe need, it got to shut We
have to shut down the border toillegal entry. Unless we do that,

(43:04):
we're not going to have any kindof negotiation for this. And I hope
that they hold the line on this. Republicans historically, I have not Immigration
isn't just a problem with Democrats. It's a problem with Republicans who've always been
the knee. They wanted to goalong, to get along, and they've
been cowed into it by Democrats. So I hope that that I don't want
to see that continue with us.A few other things to touch on,
so this I don't know if yousaw this. Perry High School this morning,

(43:29):
their first day back after the wellin the new year, after Christmas
break. New details are out. They had one press conference already. It's
Dallas County up there, but it'sin Iowa. Perry High School. They
had a report, they had theyreceived reports of a school shooting right before
school started at seven forty in themorning in central time, and they hadn't

(43:52):
released any They hadn't released immediately needdetails on the suspect, although apparently the
suspect was known to police. That'swhat was given out. They had two
victims from Perry High School transport viaambulance to one of the nearby hospitals in
Des Moines. One of the victimswas apparently the principal, a fifteen year

(44:16):
old was graized and with minor injuries. The individual they said all they said
that he was known to or theywere they were known to police. I
mean, you're just not. I'massuming you know so immediately I I I

(44:39):
always urge caution to people like inthe wake of stuff like this, because
everybody wants to go out and befirst, and then you have all of
the same known actors who want togo out and they want to politicize it
and they want to push an agenda. You don't even know anything about it.
But the fact that the suspect wasreportedly known to police is to me

(45:00):
is very very significant because isn't thatusually always the case with these incidents.
I mean, when you go backto Parkland, that individual was so known
to law enforcement. They had amonitor walk and attend classes with that individual
because they were so violent and disruptive. I don't know how many people knew

(45:22):
that did were people aware of that? And I talked about it tons at
the time, or how in thelead up before what happened in Parkland happened,
they had a parent who was aretired Secret Service or former Secret Service
rather who did an experiment, wasable to get right inside the school in

(45:43):
the morning before first bell walked aroundwith two stacks of post it notes and
went through both stacks, just hittingpeople with post it notes on their clothing,
and then walked into the superintendent's officeand said, if I had been
a mass murderer, those would haveall been casualties. Cannot have a completely
unsecured building and just think that nothing. You can't have people just be able

(46:05):
to walk into your building, adultsparticularly or people who aren't students, or
as somebody who's behaving sketchy, anddo this so now. And notice that
none of the people, especially thosewho are promoting gun control as an agenda,
none of those people mentioned that. They didn't mention that the student and
that that the killer in that casehad been repeatedly called into police. That
it was all so political. Andit makes me every time I hear these

(46:28):
stories, particularly when they involve schools. I just and I'm not naming this
murderer because they just released his nameapparently nine minutes ago. I'm not naming,
but apparently. I don't know.It looks like it might be politicized.
Not so sure. That's some ofthe early reports coming out. May

(46:49):
there may have been some activism aspart of it. That's all I'm going
to put out there until law enforcementconfirms more. But just just terrific.
It's just it's just so it's sadin Iowa during primary season, the day
after the Epstein list drops. I'mjust saying, it's just very just it's
unsettling. We have headlines coming up. Also, some of the other stuff

(47:12):
were going to touch on. SoUSA boxing is now going to allow men
who costplay as women to compete againstto fight women boxers, they say,
under certain conditions, which is allbunk. So they're going to they're gonna
have dead women. And now allof the news you would probably miss.
It's time for Dana's Quick five. This is a fun fact. Russell Crowe

(47:36):
is apparently related to the last manwho was beheaded in Britain, a guy
known as Simon Lord Lovett, whowas known for laughing his head off.
He was a Scott who was describedas a Scottish Jacobite. He was the
last person to be beheaded in Englandin seventeen forty seven. I just thought
it was a jurassing and I'm like, huh, maybe because the painting also

(47:57):
kind of looks like Russell Crowe thepainting of him. I'm just saying interesting.
Also, apparently there's no good newson inflation. Blah blah blah.
China's balloons are back. This timethey're over Taiwan though, so now they're
sending their spy balloons over Taiwan. The Taiwanese Defense Ministry reported four Chinese balloons
floating across the island ahead of apivotal election. It sounds like some good

(48:22):
target practice maybe, or like ifyou have a very big bottle rocket,
some anti air stuff something like that. Also, let's see here, huh.
I can't even believe that I havethis is a headline. But okay,
Lululemon, right, Lulu Lemons,I say it's the yoga they have

(48:44):
stuff for dudes there. I didnot even know that they literally have what.
No, I'm sorry, dudes, you don't need to be going to
Lululemon. You don't now No,No, Lululum, But they said they're
billionaire founder actually criticized the company's diversityand inclusion efforts. According to Yahoo Finance,

(49:09):
which wrote about it, they saidthat you got to be clear that
you don't want certain customers coming in. They said they're trying to be Lu's
Lulu Lemons. Billionaire founder Chip Wilsona coordinationship and says that exclusivity trump's inclusivity,
and he was blasting the company thathe stepped down from ten years ago.

(49:29):
He said that I think the definitionof a brand is that you're not
something to everybody, and you gotto be clear about that. I mean,
I think that's how is that controversial? Everyone's like, oh, that's
so controversial. It's not controversial. It's leggings. And honestly, some of
y'all, some people out there shouldn'tbe in legans. Like I'm short waisted,
I can't wear certain things that arefor long wasted people. If you
are a half a ton, youshould probably not wear legans. Just saying,

(49:52):
also unpopular opinion. Leggings aren't pants. They're not pants. They're not
it's long underwear. Let's be realabout it. Nobody wants to see your
cheeks. Nobody wants to see nothing. I mean, I just think it
just looks to me, it lookstrashy. And I'm not ninety. I've
just I've always thought that, I'mlike, leggings aren't pants. You look

(50:14):
like you're trying too hard, whichis just d class a. It looks
thirsty. It looks like you looklike a pick me girl. Stop it.
It's true anyway. I know themen are like, shut up,
Dina, shut up, but I'mI'm right. Let's see. A UFO
buzzed Joe Biden's flight as air Forceone landed, and the UFO that did
so apparently is being wiped from Google. An unexplained white spherical object appeared to

(50:37):
buzz the US Air Force tanker aircraftassigned it. Was it a big giant
coke nugget from Hunter Biden. Idon't know, a cokenug that maybe he
like lost, I don't know,They said, uh, it was the
It buzzed the USS Force Air Forcetanker aircraft assigned to the flight protecting the
president's. His aircraft is a jetand it was extraordinary footage. A Daily

(51:02):
Star, it's a British based publication. They captured to aircraft two autcraft enthusiasts
capture this USUFO buzzing the President's flightas it came home to land in Los
Angeles. But it's being scrubbed offthe internet. They said, I'm just
saying it feels a little conspiracy. We got a lot more on the way.

(51:22):
Stick with us, elevate your commute, workouts or downtime with the Dana
Show podcast. Unleash the power ofknowledge at your fingertips by following Dana on
Apple, Spotify, or wherever youget your podcasts. And we are already
faced with yet another horrific school shooting. And the question that we ask is

(51:43):
when will enough be enough? Thequestions that families ask, and the victims
of families ask is when will itbe enough? When will enough be enough?
When will enough be enough? KJPtalking about this Perry High school shooting
that took place in Iowa and fora sad incident that we don't really even

(52:05):
know too much more about. Honestly, there was there was a press conference.
I think that now the name ofthe individual, the suspect, is
being circulated, although law enforcement hasbeen not not and I mean obviously they're
in the middle of an investigation sothey're not gonna come out and tell you
everything that's happening. However, thecrazy thing about this is that if everything

(52:32):
is too if everything that's being sofar reported and again still waiting for law
enforcement is to be believed, thenthis person was already all over social media
intimating violent behavior or intimating violent intentand talking about what they were gonna what
he was going to go and doto the school. And there may be

(52:52):
an activist bent to it. Sohow many more people, I mean,
if you want to go go aheadand get the card ahead of the horse,
and how many more people have tobe laid at the altar of identity
politics, particularly kids in schools, before you people stop trying to weaponize you
know, alphabet activism. I mean, it's just crazy. It's crazy,

(53:14):
and it's being widely reported. Iknow that there's big social media accounts reporting
this. I get it. There'sa there's an eagerness to be first with
stuff, but I think that thereshould be more of an eagerness to be
accurate. And so I just wantto I'm seeing a lot of this stuff
out here, uh but and Ithink it all should be kept on the

(53:35):
back burner and then when the dude'sidentity is publicly affirmed by law enforcement,
then then there's a lot of there'sa lot of stuff that people have saved
that this dude did on social media. But until then, and also because
you still appearents freaking out over understandablywhat just happened in their child's school.
Yeah, and there's a lot ofother questions that I have. I mean,

(53:58):
it was the school secured? Howto someone get I mean, there's
a lot of questions that I haveabout this. Was this individual student,
a current student, et cetera,et cetera. It's just so irresponsible for
these politicians to run out there andimmediately make these grand standing statements an inch
towards an activist response to make peoplemore vulnerable, to to use this,

(54:23):
uh, use a tragedy to dothis. It's without even all of the
information being in or even being confirmed. You would not allow that in any
other type of situation, and itshould definitely not be allowed here. It's
just it's it's said, I mean, this dude, and apparently the accounts

(54:45):
are being scrubbed really quickly, sogoodness, I mean, you had what
There's there's a lot of lot ofthings here that this would be what the
one, two, three, fourfifth if the social media, if all
of that's correct, that would bethe what the fifth activists? That's uh

(55:05):
uh a violent activist. It wouldbe the fifth incident which was carried out
by a violent activist Colorado Springs,Denver, Aberdeen, Nashville and utility apparently.
Hmmm interesting, when is the sowhen's the left going to stop weaponizing
this stuff and putting people in danger? Uh? Incredibly sad. I'm just

(55:32):
waiting for people waiting for the apology. You're waiting for Gavin Newsom to come
out. You know what's going tohappen, waiting for Gavin Newsom. But
there are a lot of questions thatremain, uh, school security, a
lot of this stuff and not everythingcosts money. And I know that a
lot of objections to some of thethe hardening of targets, for instance,

(55:54):
with schools, A lot of peopleobjective, well that costs money. Not
No, Actually, locking just lockingthe door doesn't cost money. Being vigilant
doesn't cost money. Practicing situational awarenessnone of that costs money. Just takes
you know, time to take alook around, be observant, being a
level yellow awareness. That doesn't thatdoesn't cost any kind of money. You
don't. No one's saying that youhave to have any kind of new fangled

(56:15):
gigantic security system. But allow people, if they so choose, and if
they can be credited, because Iknow that the due to existing federal law,
if they if they want to carryto protect themselves in others, they
should be allowed to do so.I mean, the the school that my
kids went to very much incorporated allof those things. And I still have,

(56:36):
uh, you know, contacts withthe school. So I don't like
to give everything out, but Ithink every school should should be as attentive
to its security as the school thatmy kids went to. Uh they were,
I mean they were absolutely fantastic andmaking sure that students were safe and
teachers that could train, and theywanted to carry because they it's it's not

(56:57):
like an added People act like,oh, well I'm there to teach,
I'm not there to carry a firearm. Well, people who carry firearms don't
look at it like it's something thatis so great a burden that it supersedes
every other activity that they have todo in life. I mean, you
can do, you can carry andif a threat arises and you want to
protect yourself. I mean, it'sjust it's just a dumb response that I
hear from people. It doesn't it'sa goofy. But this individual, if

(57:21):
this individual was an activist, thisis that will be the fifth one.
That will be the fifth one,and so far, if all of that's
the front, that's gonna be prettyThat dude's a big time activist, big
time alphabet activist, just saying isit another trans We'll see, but you're

(57:42):
not gonna hear even if it is, you wouldn't hear anything about it from
the from the White House, justlike with Nashville, they acted like it
was the trans community under attack whenit was a member of the Transliberation Army
or whatever, one of their hardcoreactivists that went out and attacked school kids.
Now, before the facts are in, they want to make more people

(58:05):
vulnerable to violent actions unacceptable. That'sone of the things I hope you think
about going into twenty twenty four, and we're going to talk more about it,
because they've keep trying to push thisassault weapons ban through it. Let
me just tell you, the RepublicanParty is not guaranteed to keep the House,
and we are not on track towin the Senate. If you lose

(58:28):
the House and the Senate and theWhite House, you will have an assault
weapons ban. Regardless of whether ornot it's constitutional, You'll have it.
Oh, it will happen. Absolutely, they will absolutely push it through.
They've been how many every year theyintroduce it in the Senate. I was

(58:50):
on a Diane F. Einstein's favoritethings to introduce in the Senate was another
assault weapons ban, something that totallydid not work previously when it was implemented
in the nineties, as supported byeven a DOJ study and a Rand Institute
of Left leaning Entity study, there'szero evidence that supports the claim that it
actually worked to reduce crime. Infact, some of the worst mass shootings
in American history happened during the assaultweapons ban, including Columbine. So no,

(59:19):
it didn't work. It didn't work, But you know what did and
what does allowing people to be ableto defend themselves. I wanted to bring
this up because this isn't a surprise, a change in concealed carry law.
It did not drive violent crime inOhio cities. Remember when Ohio was considering
when they were voting all moving topass constitutional carry. They had six of

(59:42):
their largest cities they saw actually lessviolent crime with a firearm after their constitutional
carry law took effect. This wasa study that was published by the Center
for Justice Research and it works inconjunction with Bowling Green s University and the
Ohio ag Ohio back in June oftwenty twenty two became the twenty third state

(01:00:06):
to allow its citizens to carry concealwhat constitutional carriers? You know you should
be able to And guess what withall of the weeping and nashing of the
teeth from the anti Second Amendment lobbydid they kept saying, Oh, you're
going to see, Oh gosh, there's gonna be so much crimes. You
didn't see any of that, infact, none of it. Researchers analyzed
all of the data that went backfor two years, a year before and
a year after the law took effect, and they looked at crimes involving firearms,

(01:00:28):
verified gunshot detection alerts. They evenlooked at number officers struck by gunfire
and what they discussed or what theydiscovered, and it was all led by
a Center for Justice Research director witha doctor and criminal justice. They showed
a significant decrease in the number ofcrimes involving firearms and Akron Columbus and Toledo
and across all eight cities combined, and the rate of They said that all

(01:00:50):
of the rates everywhere from twenty twoto eighteen percent the decreases. That's pretty
significant, that's incredibly significant. Butthey don't talk about any of this,
which amazes me because if you're goingto have a conversation about people's rights and
you're trying to cite criminal illegal usageof an legal to own inanimate object,

(01:01:15):
then logic dictates, for the sakeof honest discourse and science and reason,
that you would also include data suchas this or defensive gun usages out pacing
every year criminal usage. This iswhy you had the anti Second Amendment lobby

(01:01:43):
pressure the CDC to remove from itswebsite all defensive gun usage statistics because they
said it was detrimental to their advocacy. And I didn't just say this.
These were emailed receipts discussions that weresent from anti Second Amendment groups two members

(01:02:04):
of the CDC. It was thebiggest most underreported story of last year,
so very important, very important.A couple of other things to hit did
we see this video speaking of crime. It was in Las Vegas, and

(01:02:28):
I mean I was My first thoughtwas how high did this guy jump?
Is that weird that I was, like, legit my first thought. So
this judge is handing down the sentenceto this criminal and this dude jumps over.
And it's in Clark County and thisjudge, this judge denied this criminal's
probation, right and deny this guy'sprobation. This guy bomb rushes this Clark

(01:02:57):
County judge and I'm just trying tobecause you know, the judge kind of
sits up high. This guy literallyleaps right over the desk and gets her,
tries to get her. It isabsolutely crazy. I and this guy
apparently has a very dangerous He's gota long record. So apparently back in

(01:03:22):
April he had threatened to bust theknekeps of another man and apparently actually did
it, resulting in substantial bodily harm. Clearly, according to the affidavit,
at the time, a judge hadsaid had ordered the guy to undergo a
competency determination, and then he waspreviously in front of this judge apparently on
charges of malicious destruction of property. He served time in prison for domestic battery

(01:03:46):
charges, all kinds of stuff. But that jump, dude, Oh my
gosh, that's crazy. And thenthe other guy, who's that the other
fellow judge or somebody that was therethat immediately jumped to tackle the guy.
Good heavens, but this guy justjumped right up. That was That's pretty

(01:04:06):
amazing. I read she's okay, but got lee. That's uh. That
was wild to watch that because thevideo that's online is like over two minutes
long, and I'm watching, I'mlike, okay, what, Oh my
gosh, it's like, all ofa sudden, out of nowhere, it
happens. We have Florida Man onthe way. And then coming up in
our third hour, we got toget into some of the wokery. Uh.

(01:04:29):
We're also going to get in thelatest on immigration. We're gonna talk
about all of that hit all that. We got to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis
as well. Who's going to joinus. It's his life mission to make
bad decisions. It's time for FloridaMan. So, a Florida man was
arrested for intentionally crashing his car andthen punching a driver, according to police,

(01:04:56):
in winter Haven. A man fromAuburndale was arrested after say yesterday he
intentionally crashed into another vehicle or sorryTuesday and then punched the driver in the
face. The police said that DustinBlack, twenty one, attacked the victim,
who was at fault for the minorcrash that involved Black's girlfriend. Authority
said it was that an intersection, the victim made a U turn hit the

(01:05:16):
girlfriend's vehicle on the driver's side. The victim then immediately stopped backed up in
an attempt to remove his vehicle fromthe other one, and at that point,
Black, who was in the areawhen the crash occurred, stopped his
truck next to the victim's vehicle, backed up, rammed into the passenger side.
Then the victim got out and yelledthat he was sorry it was an
accident. But then they said thatapparently he had to throw his hands up

(01:05:40):
because Black punched him in his facerepeatedly before the girlfriend wrent over to stop
him. That's definitely not a wayto handle an accident. I mean,
it sounds like it wasn't It soundslike it was an accident. I hate
it when you're trying to make aturn at a light and somebody does a
U turn into the same line thatyou are. In Texas, it's allowed,
but it's kind of hard to seethat other person's blinkers. Times and
many times they just don't put iton. I can't tell you how many

(01:06:01):
accidents I've seen because people just don'tput indicators are for a reason. I
get coolsh I get mad over thisstuff, okay. A Southwest Florida man
caught in a stolen vehicle told policehe didn't steal it. He just found
it. Finders keepers right. Twentytwo year old man from Lee County,

(01:06:23):
Florida, was arrested last week.He was pulled over in a stolen vehicle.
When police asked twenty two year oldJames Comer Junior from Fort Myers about
the Hyundai Hyundai Hyundai Hyundai Santa Fe. Why can't I ever say the name
of the stupid car, Hundai SantaFe, he said, no, no,
no, I didn't take it.I found it, is what happened.

(01:06:45):
I just found it. A womanhad reported her Hyundai missing from her
driveway the day after Christmas because andshe left her left it unlocked in her
driveway with keys inside. Gos suchsuch a shocker that it was stolen,
not saying that that justifies stealing,But don't be stupid, and they finally
discover the car. It just that'snot really, that's not how that works,

(01:07:11):
you know what I mean, Like, you don't how do you know
that you it didn't belong to anyone? Because you're saying that you found it,
you're indicating the grocery store parking lot. Where did you find it?
Yeah, in the in the grocerystore parking lot, and they're at a
seven eleven, you know, justthere with all the personal belongings inside of
it, still just sitting there.Right. That's not how any of this

(01:07:35):
works. If you get up andif you get out of your car and
you leave it, even if youleave it your stuff in there stupidly,
which you shouldn't. Uh, thatdoesn't mean that you're you're signaling to everyone,
go okay, guys, it's yoursnow. Not really. So shockingly,
the police did not believe him,and he was taken into custody.

(01:07:55):
Where it's where we get this finemugshot. That one is just displayed for
you now in the simulcast. Sothe Florida man intentionally drove car into the
home of a person who wouldn't talkto him. This sounds like the bansheees
of an a sheer and plot.Nobody cut off any fingers though. A
dude who this Florida dude drove hiscar into the house of his other dude
who would not talk to him.Fabian Campbell, age forty. He's being

(01:08:18):
charged with criminal mischief and apparently there'sa charge for projecting a deadly missile into
a home. Didn't know that, but it was in Fort Lauderdale. Yeah,
he got mad because the stude onetalking to him, so he just
like drove it right the heck intothe car, right and into the home,
and it caused shockingly structural damage tothe dwelling. I know you're surprised

(01:08:39):
that that happened. Stick with us. Third hour on the way, and
later on in that hour, FloridaGovernor Ron de Santas joins us. But
let's just take it to the kitchentable about people's health, financial well being,
their freedom to live their lives, and again the opportunity that Joe Biden
has given them. Oh my gosh, she sounds so snotty. That's Nancy

(01:09:03):
Pelosi saying that you know what, you should just be grateful for the opportunities
that Joe Biden has bestowed upon you. And that's all there is to it.
She actually said that this is weshould be grateful for the opportunity Biden
has given you. What opportunity, the opportunity to die from? Feel?

(01:09:27):
What opportunity? What opportunity is shetalking about? First off, welcome back
to the program, Dana, lastyear with you. Top of this third
hour. We've got Florida Governor RonDeSantis coming up later on in the program.
What opportunity is she talking about?Particularly, I'm super would love I've
taken the opportunity of paying more forgas and groceries, electricity. Well,

(01:09:51):
no, who, I can't rememberwho it was we talked about this last
year. You know why you're payingmore for it, Kane? Because it's
fancy. Oh is that what?Yeah? Gas is fancy. It's the
fancy gas food, fancy food. That's why. I mean, look at
it like this. You're not payingalmost seven dollars for uh, you know,

(01:10:13):
four sticks of butter just to youknow, because it's better than the
butter. It may be the samebrand name and everything, but it's better
now fancier because it's more expensive, right sow not convinced it's weird. Yeah,
you don't have to be. It'sjust, you know, be grateful.
According to Nancy Pelosi, be grateful, be just just just I just

(01:10:38):
am shocked. I'm still trying tofigure out what gratefulness? Can we talk
about Biden's ad to by the way, so he's got his He came out
with an ad. He's got anew ad. It's his first ad of
twenty twenty four, and he Ijust don't think this is hit. I

(01:11:00):
really don't. It's just not ait's not a not a good ad.
He wants, well, this ishis ad. Let's just start it because
he's he's making it's all. It'slike, just watch it and then we'll
talk. Just one's gonna play it. Go ahead. I'm getting ahead of
myself. There's an extremist movement hedoes not share the basic police and our

(01:11:23):
democracy. All of us are beingasked right now, what will we do
to maintain our democras history's watch. The world is watching. The most important
our children and grand should will holdus responsible. The Vice President and I
have supported voting right since day oneof this administration, and I ask every

(01:11:45):
America to join me in this cost. So he wants to make J six
his big thing. And then he'sacting like, oh my gosh, this
is the future of all voting ishappen. It's all on you. Yeah,
it kind of is. So hehas some speeches. Now he's got
this ad focusing on still. Thiswas after the ad that he did trying

(01:12:09):
to push bi nomics, by theway, So it's his doom and gloom
campaign. That's all that me reallythink about it. That's what it is,
doom and gloom. His campaign isgoing to be non is going to
be all entirely doom and gloom.Uh, it's going to be about uh,
be terrified of people who don't votelike you, be terrified of them.
They're all J six ers. That'sthat's entirely what he's doing. That's

(01:12:31):
his whole pitch. You're going tosee this hate and fear. That is
his campaign, hate and fear intwenty twenty four. There, they've already
told you that's what they're going forright here. That's not you're not pushing
democracy, you're not advocating for democracy. You're fear mongering, and you're trying

(01:12:55):
to get your voters. I mean, I really don't think that you need
to rile your voters up anymore. We just saw what happened at that school
in Iowa, right, we sawwhat happened in Nashville. Right. I
really don't think that you need toriley your voters up anymore. Anybody who
criticized Biden's criticizing democracy, anybody who'swho tries to hold his family accountable.

(01:13:17):
I mean, have you heard aboutsome of the other stuff, like,
for instance, the Hunter Biden family. They prove that he's been using all
his actual bank accounts, taking moneyout of his work accounts, his working
accounts, and using that on thehookers and blow and everything else. Yeah.
Oh and he's got a documentary crewof following him around. That's a

(01:13:41):
whole other joke for tomorrow. Yeah, I'm making a note of myself.
I'm not gonna get to it.It's not gonna happen. It's just it'll
take up this whole segment. Butthis is Biden's pitch. It's going to
be everybody who isn't a Democrat asa fascist, and it's all doom and
gloom. Everything is doom and gloom. That's his whole thing. It's the
doom and gloom. Very I justdon't think that that is How is that

(01:14:11):
going to How does that resonate withvoters? Aren't voters tired of it?
Voters are looking for a way outand his campaign doesn't give them one.
He's going to go to listen tothis. So this is uh, it
was in Now I'm looking at pullingup some emails. Bear with me.
So he's hitting the campaign trail. This is AP he's uh, he's officially

(01:14:36):
now campaigning, and he's going thisis the this is the Associated Press headline.
Ready, Biden's kicking off twenty twentyfour by delving into some of the
country's darkest moments. This is howthey're starting this. He it's why I
see, I wasn't far off withthe doom and gloom. So he is

(01:14:57):
going he's going to try to evokethe Revolutionary War to Mark Jsex, which
is you know what two days away, and then he's going to go to
South Carolina the church, right,He's going to go visit the church where
you had black parishioners who were murdered. And by the way, remember that
church and the reason why that murderwas allowed to happen is because the FBI

(01:15:21):
under James Comy, they came outand they admitted that they had made a
paperwork error. That dude was aprohibitive possessor and should have never been legally
allowed to buy the firearm that heused to carry out the murder, but
he was allowed to because human error. Someone messed something up from what county
he was from, et cetera. He was already charged with a felony,
and in that state you have tobe charged with a felony to be deprived

(01:15:43):
of your natural rights. And theymessed up and there was a paperwork air.
They actually have the statement that's stillavailable online. You can look it
up. I've written about it,I haven't linked on various places. But
James Comy actually wrote author the letterwhen he was still ahead of FBI.
He was the one who came outand authored the letter. So but they
try to say that it's because youan innocent person owner in your firearms.

(01:16:05):
You know he's going to tie thatinto it. So he's going to and
then he's going to go to ValleyForge. That's where Washington and Washington connincal
armies they wintered. He is againgoing to talk about the rioting and blah
blah blah. So he's going tofocus. It's like, it reminds me

(01:16:26):
of this book that came out.It was written by the chick who voiced
the daughter in The Incredibles, andit's called Assassination Vacation. And it was
this book that she wrote about goingto these morbid places in the US to
like a historical you know, historydriven vacation. And it very much reminds
me of what Biden's doing here,or but what Biden's doing here reminds me

(01:16:49):
of that. So he is focusingon what they what they describe as compelling
threats to our democracies, and hewants to use the past as the way
to frame their characterization of current eventsas a way to scare the hell out
of you into voting for him. That's how they're doing it. I just

(01:17:11):
don't think that that's going to workwith people. I just don't think that's
going to work. Do you thinkKing, that's going to work with people?
I mean, I I things thoughare so divided, though, are
they more divided now than they everhave been? I think that's like the
big question. Yeah, so maybeit would work. I don't know.

(01:17:32):
How do you counter that? Well, the way you counter is with hope
and solution. The way you counterit is not with pettiness or backbiting or
any of that. You have tocounter it with hope and providing solutions.
So that's the way that they're you'renot going to convince everything is about the

(01:17:53):
independence, and you're not and you'renot going to be able. I think
you have to go above and beyondsaying that this is this guy's bad,
bad for democracy, So you gottavote for me. You got to you
gotta give a solution as to whywhat. I don't know. We're going

(01:18:15):
to talk to Ron DeSantis about thiscoming up, because I'm curious, how
do you counter this now that Biden'sofficially kicking this off this week? How
do you counter this messaging? I'mjust you know, And they're also trying
to say, here's the other thinglistening to this. One of the other
things that they're wanting to do,according to senior campaign officials, is compare

(01:18:35):
how George Washington peacefully and voluntarily steppeddown from power, and they're going to
contrast that with what Trump's doing. That's what his that's what the senior campaign
officials are doing. Yeah, it'snot just about policy difference. It's about
I do agree that it's about thefate of the country. Actually, this

(01:18:56):
is where I do agree that itis about the fate of the country,
because think of every everything that ison the line right now. Even if
you're you want to reject any kindof overture with foreign policy, just look
domestically with the vorder, with guncontrol, with taxation properly, everything,
everything, everything, We're about tolose the power of the purse. I

(01:19:23):
this is It's troubling, very troubling. So this is why I think twenty
twenty four. You can't make itabout people. It has to be about
policies, and you have to putthe country first ahead of any interest of
any politician who would have you convincedotherwise. Now, we've got a few
other things that I want to makesure that we are hitting. I got

(01:19:44):
some self defense stuff as well, and a couple of other couple of other
stories here that we I want toget to before we hit into headlines.
But I'm gonna go into headlines nowbecause I'm going to hit some of this
in conjunction with that, and thencoming up, we're going to talk to
the Florida governor. Because I wasjust what like barely two weeks away.

(01:20:05):
We are now officially in the campaigncycle. It's time to start pushing,
time to start asking those questions. And how do you contrast doom and gloom?
And now all of the news youwould probably miss. It's time for
Dana's Quick five. This isn't superimportant news, but it is to me.
There's an owl in my attic rightnow. It's a barn owl and

(01:20:26):
it's going to be mine. Imean, I don't know if I can
keep it, so let's just saythat hypothetically it's a my attic in case
it's illegal and you didn't hear whatol what? Anyway? Moving on,
moving on, I may or maynot have to delete something on Twitter.
I just realized, maybe that's notillegal. Be what owl are you talking
about? I don't know. Youguys are trying to trap me. ENTRAPMENTT

(01:20:47):
and TRAPMENTT. All right, movingon, it's like adorable, this hypothetical
owl. All right, Moving on, we got the audio coming up.
A converination on Pierres called for anational red flag band to fight gun violence
after the school shooting in Iowa. We're going to dive into that here coming
up. Additionally, this a WorldWar two era unexploded bomb washed ashore on

(01:21:12):
a Santa Cruz beach by powerful storms. Yeah. This that seems that like
it's I mean, I guess it'sstill you know, you can blow it
up, they said. Bomb squaddeployed by the Sheriff's office deemed it safe
and removed it from the shoreline. It was old and rusty. Probably is

(01:21:32):
it still exploding, I mean justyeah, But anyway, they said it
was safe. They moved out. There you go, a Burger King employee
who went twenty seven years without missingthe day work bought his first home thanks
to donations. He goes, Iknow it's not a mansion, but it's
mine, said Kevin Ford. Hereceived received money from thousands of donors.
If we're going viral on TikTok,by the way, there's no there's no

(01:21:55):
shame in work. Work is work, and there's all pred and all work.
But they raised four hundred and fortythousand dollars. He had twenty seven
years he did not miss a dayof work, and he posted a video.
He shared gifts after twenty seven yearsof work, and they gave him
like a movie ticket and a Starbuckscup and some candy and all that.
And people were like, wait, what twenty seven years of work, never

(01:22:16):
missed a day and that's all youget. So yeah, they raised money
for him and they bought him. They bought him a house, and so
he began working the job as asingle dad, raised his girls. And
they said, he continues there. He does look young. That dude looks
young. I mean he's got twogrown daughters. That dude looks like he's
in his thirties. I think he'sa vampire. That is not that you

(01:22:40):
are not real, just saying.A man is accused of stealing an airplane
from a North Las Vegas airport andflying it to California. Golley. How
does this happen? It's according tothe North Las Vegas Police, it took
place on New Year's Eve, Decemberthirtieth. This dude fired up a single

(01:23:01):
engine aircraft stolen from is probably aprivate airport, obviously, it's what sounds
like. They said, the fortyyear old suspect flew it all the way
to Barstow and they got a calland they said all the aircraft landed at
the airport, and of course obviouslythey took him into custody because he stole
it. They're still investing, Imean, they were investigating at the time
the story was written. Still, the desert may get up to ten inches

(01:23:23):
of snow as temperatures plunge. Youknow, it does get cold in the
desert, super cold, and itcan snow in the desert. That's not
crazy. This is happening in NewMexico where a winter storm is set to
bring up to ten inches of snowto the desert state at the end of
the week. According to the NationalWeather Service. They issued a special weather
statement and they said it's going tounload heavy snow across the southern high planes.

(01:23:44):
Yeah, that's not I mean, you know, people go skiing in
New Mexico, right, they goto the mountains and they go sk So
it's not unusual for the state toget snow. And you can still be
deserting and be cold. And stillthere is a gunpowder shortage. Ammunition prices
are increasing with concern over gunpowder. You know, a lot of production actually
is overseas because it's so dangerous tomanufacturate. But this comes. This is

(01:24:06):
from a local news station. Theysaid that you're gonna, yeah, you
are gonna spent well, yeah, obviously emo's more. But they said the
manufacturers are increasing prices in fear ofa global gunpowder shortage. Now, some
owners say they don't mind paying theprice, they just want to know why
and how much. I'm kind ofone of them. Vista Outdoor Apparent,
company to many businesses, is increasingits ammunition prices due to this anticipated global

(01:24:30):
shortage of gunpowder. The company confirmedin a letter to its customers that it's
going to go ahead and go withthis increase beginning now. It took place
January first, all right, Socoming up, Florida Governor Ron Decantis joins
us. Next. He has beencampaigning in Iowa. How do you combat
doom and gloom, especially now thatBiden's kicked off his weirdo new campaign message.
Stick with us. Follow Dana onApple, Spotify, or wherever you

(01:24:55):
get your podcasts, because knowledge isyour ultimate superpower. But honestly, the
way that we're going to deal withthis is to have legislation that deals with
high capacity magazines, assault weapons ban. That's how we're going to move forward
a national red flag ban. Andthat's how we're going to deal with this,

(01:25:15):
this epidemic that we're seeing across thecountry. That's why we keep saying
enough is enough, Congress. Sothat is Corine Jean Pierre just a few
minutes ago, answering a question aboutthe tragedy that took place at Perry High
School in Iowa this morning, thefirst day back at school after the new
year, after Christmas break, andthis is what students and teachers had to
deal with, and we were givingyou some of the latest just about that

(01:25:39):
in covering it police, you know, excellent job and response. They had
a press conference already. And weonly like to go with confirmed information.
I don't go with speculation. I'mnot going to go with stuff that I
see on social media unless it's afirm by law enforcement. So until it
is, that's where we're gonna We'regonna stick with with all of the politics
and activism in it. But Iwill say this rush to immediately politicize it

(01:26:01):
and cite as motivation things which,as we just said, haven't been confirmed
by law enforcement, that's needless. And it's the first reaction of the anti
Second Amendment Lobby. Welcome back tothe program, Dana Lash here with you
bottom of this third hour. Andof course you know with this taking place
in Iowa, Iowa is center stagebecause you have Iowa voting first here in

(01:26:25):
just a couple of weeks. Iwas also a very strong second Amendment state.
A year ago they voted for constitutionalcarry. They actually saw a crime
decrease. We saw that happen inOhio as well, or actually Ohio voted
for constitutional carry. We saw that. We've seen a lot of the statistics
on this, and this is avery important issue for a lot of Iowa.
And so how does this all playtogether without engaging in the fear mongering

(01:26:47):
that we always see from the left. And one person who I always just
thought has been very good tone wiseand message wise and fact wise on this
is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, whojoins us now. It's been a very
very is the time for him, obviously he's been campaigning in Iowa also dealing
with business back in Florida. Governor, it's good to be with you.
Thank you for joining me. Ijust wanted to get your initial response as

(01:27:10):
we've been covering you know, thisawful news coming out of Iowa. Just
to the response here from KJP withthe Biden White House on red flag laws
for this and as a response, well, Dane, I mean, as
a parent, you know, wewant our schools to be safe. And
if you have somebody going to aschool and doing this and shooting and injuring
people and killing people, you knowthat's obviously a tragedy. We've done a

(01:27:34):
lot in Florida, as you know, on putting an emphasis on school security.
I've got a first grader, kindergarten, a pre pay er, so
we're my wife and I are veryconcerned about making sure our schools are safe.
We've done a lot of good stuff. It seems like having talked to
Governor Reynolds that there was a veryquick response to this. It seems like
the authorities did a really good job. What would KJP is saying that does

(01:27:59):
not relate to any of the factsthat I've been given. I'm about this
shooting. So I think it provesyour point that they try to use these
things as leverage to be able toadvance an agenda they already want to achieve
anyways, regardless of the facts onthe ground, So trying to make it
hyper political, I don't think isthe way to go, and I think
as more facts come out, Ithink people will see that what she said

(01:28:23):
was really off base. One ofthe things that we do know, and
talking with Florida Governor Ronda Santis,is that the suspect was apparently a known
entity. For the lack of abetter way to put it, that seems
awfully common in these cases. Justyour top line thoughts on that. When
the Parkland shooting happened in Florida, which which you know well because you were
down there in the aftermath, Iwas running for governor, so I wasn't

(01:28:45):
governor yet, But before the reportseven came out identifying who did it,
the people in that community knew whodid it because there were so many warning
signs. And this is somebody thatshould have been held accountable multiple times.
He should have had mental health intervention, all this other stuff. And so
I think the tragedy in these situationsis that all too often it's somebody that

(01:29:11):
has a profile where this didn't justhappen at a thin air, where they
have exhibited behavior rooted in problems withmental health. So in Florida, we
have, particularly in the high schoolsthings called behavioral threat assessment, where folks
who are exhibiting these types of warningsigns can have an intervention or be held
accountable criminally if in fact they're guiltyof doing that, like the shooter in

(01:29:35):
Parkland was. And that's so oftenI think that people just want to bury
their heads in the sand. Andwe'll see what happened with the warning signs
here. But man, this guy'sprofile seems like this was somebody that you
would not be surprised that they endedup doing something like this. And that's
true, and some of the informationthat's being shared, and as the governor

(01:29:56):
mentioned too, I mean, we'rewaiting to get confirmation on that from law
enforcement, but if that all isas being reported, that it's going to
be very obvious, just as itwas in the case with Parkland. Governor
you mentioned too some of the stuffthat was implemented in Florida, And I
know that Governor Rick Scott before you, had signed into law red flag laws
in Florida's part of it is sortof a gun control package, and I

(01:30:18):
know that you were very much opposedto the red flag portion of it.
You and I have spoken about thisbefore with concerns over due process. I
know that former President Trump had saidhe was in favor of red flag law.
He was in favor of I thinkthe phrase was, you know,
take the guns first, then dueprocess, which seems to be a backward
way of approaching a cornerstone of ourfreedom in the country. But I wanted

(01:30:42):
to get your thoughts on red flaglaws. And I also wanted to know
what in your capacity as governor Florida, because I know you have a legislature
to work with, but a lotof people are curious as too if that
is something that is going to bedone away within Florida. I know there's
some Florida lawmakers very hesitant to doaway with red flag laws. There are
some that are supportive of it.But what can you do in your capacity

(01:31:02):
as governor? Two of that along, well, First, when Donald Trump
says take the guns first, thendo process later, that's not just an
attack on the Second Amendment, that'salso an attack on the Fifth Amendment.
Government can't take anything of you fromyou without due process. And yes,
firearms are sensitive because it's an enumeratedright in the Constitution, but they couldn't

(01:31:25):
take your automobile or your TV setwithout due process. That's the cornerstone of
a free society, and so Ithink the danger with red flag laws is
that they counterman that. But thenI think even something different, and you're
right. In twenty eighteen when thatwas done by the Florida legislature, I
was a candidate for governor and Isaid I would have vetoed that bill on
constitutional grounds, not the most popularposition to take at the time, because

(01:31:48):
there was understandably a lot of emotionin the aftermath of Parkland. It was
a terrible thing, and there's aninclination to just want to do something,
but you have to side with theconstitution when it's hard. If all you
did was side when it was easy, then you would even need a constitution,
because that's the design is when you'reagainst public opinions sometimes. But I

(01:32:10):
think looking now compared to then,we've seen even more aggressive weaponization of government
power, and so I think thesethings like red flag laws, if they
were to be able to enact itfederally, the Biden administration would weaponize that
against people they don't like, andthey would use that as an offensive fool
to go after people's Second Amendment.Right. I think that's plain as day.

(01:32:34):
So that is a real serious warningsign in terms of what you're doing.
And then you know what the legislaturedid in Florida in eighteen, even
though I did oppose, it wasnarrower than what you've seen in these liberal
states, and Florida it can onlybe done through an elected sheriff. In
some of these liberal states, youcan just have someone off the street call
in and say somebody you know isa problem, and then they could go

(01:32:58):
just off that off some one onone tip. So they're trying to tilt
it in a way to really disfavorSecond Amendment rights. And so so that'll
be a no go with me.Is that something that you think is maybe
relatively soon would be would be undonein Florida The existence of red flag law,
Well, I think the issue withthat is the legislature passed that overwhelmingly.

(01:33:21):
So you still have people who arein the legislature are who were on
record as voting for it, anda lot of them did take some flak
from the right on it, sothey'd have to basically be reversing their votes
in or do it. So Ihave not seen enough that are willing to
do that to where you would beable to change now, that may change

(01:33:43):
going forward. I think it wouldalso depend on how much pressure they get
from from the grassroots on some ofthis stuff. But of all the votes
that the Florida Legislature has taken inthe last twenty years, I mean,
this was definitely one of the mosthigh profile votes, so I think that
those members willing to a flip onit has been pretty limited. Talking with
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and esp RedFlaglon all the considerations with due process you

(01:34:08):
mentioned in the context of so manythings that have happened in recent years,
especially with abuses that we've seen atthe DJ at the FBI, I have
to ask you this, just basedon some of the quotes that we've seen
in the past week, do youagree with giving the FBI a new and
spectacular building? And DC Governor absolutelynot. I mean I can't. I
was shocked when Donald Trump came outand endorsed that he promised in sixteen to

(01:34:30):
drain the swamp. That's fortifying theswamp. So no, we wouldn't do
that. It's over a billion dollars. But then you also have the interest
of just the issue of accumulation ofpower inside DC. We've created a separate
bureaucratic class that is distinct from thegreat body of the American people. That
was not what the founding fathers intended. And I think part of the problem

(01:34:51):
with the FBI has been the factthat DC politics has really just infected it
in ways that are producing people likea Peter Struck or a Macabe. So
no, not only would I notdo that, I would move as many
agencies out of DC as you can. I saw a SoundBite. I'm not
going to I'm just going to rehash. I'm sure you've seen it. Nicki

(01:35:14):
Haley, former Governor NICKI Haley, was in New Hampshire saying that the order
of things Iowa, they cast theirvotes, and then New Hampshire corrects it
in South Carolina brings it home.I don't understand what New Hampshire corrects following
the votes coming out of the IowaCaucus's governor. Maybe there's some understanding of
how this works that I don't get. Can you explain that for us?

(01:35:35):
Now? Look, I mean,I think it was very disrespectful to Iowa
voters because she's saying that those resultsneed to quote be corrected. I think
it's because she's seeing that she doesn'thave a lot of support in Iowa.
She is spending in her Wall Streetallies and liberal donors are spending in a
godly amount of money attacking me.I've had forty million dollars spending against me.

(01:36:00):
That's more than has been spent againstboth Biden and Trump combined in this
election cycle. And it's more that'sbeen spent against all other Republicans combined,
just against me. So that's whatthey're doing. But yes, it just
shows you she does have contempt forpeople out here in Iowa. She's really
gravitated to these Wall Street donors. She's bragged about being close with people like

(01:36:25):
Larry Fink, the CEO of Blackrock. She's getting money from the founder of
LinkedIn, who's one of the mostsignificant left wing donors in the country,
And so I think that's the companyshe's keeping. So she looks at in
Iowa, you have a lot ofpeople that are hardworking, patriotic, god
fearing people that farm, people thatown small businesses, and I just think

(01:36:47):
she thinks she's above it. SoI think that comment is going to hurt
her down the stretch here in Iowa. But I think it's been one thing
after another. Dana with Nikki Haley, you know, she was really her
candidacy been created by the media andthey've been pumping her up. But yet
you watch how she's performed under alittle bit of scrutiny. She's had a

(01:37:09):
lot of difficulty to basically just goa single day without putting her foot in
her mouth and speaking of the mediawith us talking with Florida Governor run DeSantis,
I know that you have a debatecoming up with Nicki Haley. Of
I guess the top three in theRepublican primary, one of them is not
going to be participating. Instead, they're going to be doing a debate with
another network on the exact same night. That seems a little difficult for voters

(01:37:31):
to follow. I just kind ofwanted to get your thoughts on that.
I don't know why everybody can't gettogether and just have a debate, or
why the RNC can't say, look, if you want to do this,
then everybody come and debate. Well, so the RNC just got out of
the process, and so these aredebates that are offered. So CNN offered
to do a debate. I accepted. Donald Trump decline, Nicky Haley accepted,

(01:37:54):
So we're going to do that onJanuary tenth at nine o'clock. And
then just the other day Fox Newsand now they're going to do a town
hall with Donald Trump at the exactsame time. So they're basically giving him
a lifeline and making it easier forhim to duck the debate. So he's
going to be in Iowa, whynot just debate the other candidates. He's

(01:38:14):
not been willing to do that thusfar, and I think it's a strategic
decision because he doesn't want to haveto explain his quote about taking the guns
first, going through due process later. He doesn't want to have to explain
why he didn't fire doctor Fauci. He doesn't want to have to explain why
he didn't do anything to combat theBLM riots in the summer at twenty twenty.
He doesn't want to have to acknowledgethe seven point eight trillion he added

(01:38:35):
to the debt. So it's like, I think all of us should be
held accountable data. I don't thinkit's healthy for the conservative movement, you
know, to have one candidate thatis not subjected to scrutiny. But that's
kind of what it's been, andI think, quite frankly, Fox News
has bailed him out by We're supposedto be the establishment candidate. That doesn't
make sense because I was told,I'm reliable, informed by everybody on the

(01:38:58):
Internet that it's run to Santis. That's the estate. You know, the
guy who created the Freedom Caucus thatthe establishment hated back in eight oh nine
and ten, eleven twelve. Ithought you were the establishment guy. And
if you look at what we've donein Florida, I've beat the left more
than any other Republican in modern times. We beat the Teachers Union, we
beat Soros, we beat Fauci,we beat the Florida Democratic Party. We've

(01:39:19):
beat the ACLU and the left. We've done that time and time again in
ways that have upset a lot ofthe big establishment donors. And so you
have Donald Trump. He's endorsed bythe entire Republican leadership in DC in the
US House. So how is thatanti establishment when you're being endorsed by by

(01:39:41):
those folks. I'm endorsed by peoplelike Governor Kim Reynolds, one of the
strongest conservative governors in America. CongressmanChip Roy clearly not an establishment Congressman Tom
Massey, great Second Amendment advocate. So I'm really the candidate of the conservative
grassroots. I'm the one that's beenable to deliver a lot. I know

(01:40:01):
Nicky Haley's kind of got her liberaldonors. Donald Trump's got the entrenched DC
establishment lined up behind him. Butnot only do I have the best record,
I'm also running on the boldest conservativeagenda. A lot of the stuff
Donald Trump's running on, quite frankly, he ran on in twenty sixteen and
didn't deliver. I've delivered on onehundred percent of my promises, and so

(01:40:23):
people can with me, they canexpect that anything I'm telling you right now,
I'm going to follow through with anddo. And the way I sum
up the primary at this point isvery simple. Donald Trump's running for his
issues. Nicky Haley's running for herdonors issues. I'm running for your issues,
your family's issues, and to turnthis country around last super quick.

(01:40:45):
Yes or no question for you,Governor before we let you go. We
know you're very busy. If youhave a Congress as president that delivers you
an abolishment of the ATF, youwould sign it. Yes, there you
go, Governor Ron DeSantis, appreciateyour time. Thank you, We'll talk
again soon. Banks Safe travels.Looking for the drive through version of The
