It's the Valentine in the Morning replayWelcome to the breakfast table a Valentine in
the Morning. I laughed, heartily, help us respectful to say I love
you. The full show podcast startsright now. One of four three mind,
ma'am os me one of four threemind Vami. It is Valentine in
the Morning. Good morning, Jill, Good morning. I have to tell

(00:21):
you, guys something that happened thatreally made me smile yesterday at the party
last night. No, okay, this happened before the party, and I
forgot to tell you about it.Yesterday morning. Last summer, I ordered
a brand new bedspread for my fiance'shouse, new sheets, like a new
bed set, and it was delivered. It was stolen off of our porch.

(00:44):
Amazon immediately sent a replacement. Itcame the next day. That was
fine, and I was like alittle upset that it was take it you.
You guys know me, you breakthe rules. I get mad.
I was mad at this person stolethis package. Okay, yesterday morning,
as I was driving to work,I saw a man using that comforter as
a cape as he ran down thestreet, and I thought, it's okay,

(01:07):
Like the guy stole your bedspread, had it as a cape down the
street. I don't know if thiswas the same man that took it.
It was a gentleman, homeless Ithink so, based off of the video
footage and my fiance, of coursebeing him. He was like, he
probably needs it more than we do. I was just gonna say, if
anyone's going to take it, lethim take it. We got a new
one. It's fine. I waslike, you're right, you're right running

(01:29):
down the street with a cape fullon, running full on around his shoulders
and just running. And I waslike, you know, it's okay.
He probably saw you and thought hewas about to be caught. That's the
one who is bedspread I saw.Get out of here, John Bud,
did You've been ruining my sleep thisweek? Up all night thinking about val

(01:52):
kind of that's not far off,and I've been waiting to tell you,
but last night it really got tome. You recommended that show from Apple
tv US Dark Matter, so weird, and you just casually like brought that
up to me. That's right downmy alley. Dude, I can't go
to sleep because I'm stuck binging thatshow. Some people put it right up
there all right, down right downyour alley, And I was like,

(02:14):
I wanted to show I could justfall asleep too, because I like the
noise in the background. But no, you had to like get me hooked
on the show that like keeps confusingit is You're like, what is going
on? And how are they doingthis travel and stuff? You know?
And got Box. I'm into thatshow, right, you're in too?
Yeah, I wonder how far you'rein it? Have you gotten the snowy
box scene? No? All right, so you're not in as far as
I am. I'm only like threeepisodes in. Yeah, it's weird.

(02:36):
Yeah, it takes a while tofigure out what's going on. I mean
I knew in the first episode whothe guy in the mask was. I
had that figured out for quick.Yeah, but still it's crazy. Bud.
I'm feeling great. Oh yeah, because you're off on Tuesday too,
aren't you. I'm heading to Vegastoday that fifteen. Are you flying or
driving? From driving? You're goingto see Yeah? Yeah, Oiling for
Super whatever, Bully Punk Rock BulletBryan Ryan, Oh no, you said

(03:04):
you would never do this again.Well, I am to take COVID,
had to take a week off lasttime. I'm gonna take precautions this time.
I'm right now. I know whatI thought you guys. I thought
you guys knew like I did notknow. I thought you just seen the
time off. Sorry, did Iout you? You out in big time?
I think no. I really thoughtthat extra day office because you're doing
something with the family, not goingto that dirt bag festival in Vegas.

(03:28):
That last time you went to,you came back with COVID, brought in
the studio, infected all of us, and you were out for like two
weeks. That's all true, Butthis time it's gonna be a different scene.
You're gonna be drunk the entire time, smoking, maybe a hero there,
a little drink here, a littlepuff there. But I'm not going
to be I'm gonna be safe.I'm gonna be wearing a mask. You're

(03:50):
going with Didley D and you're notgonna wear a mask. I know you
can come outside. You were outsidelast time. They spit in your face
and that's they got COVID. Hetold me yesterday that he is going to
really shoot for this one to bea relaxing experience, just kind of laid
back back, not in the crowdjust kind of watching from a distance.
When do you get home from thisdump on Tuesday? So even if you

(04:14):
got COVID like Tuesday, it's notgoing to show to like Thursday or Friday
to infect all testing. You know, stagecoach Coachella came and went. Everybody
was good. Yeah, no,no, it's different this thing. Have
you seen the video of this stuff? They get in a mosh pit and
lick each other and they're holding thebeers like right to their cheek, and
they're drunk and they're they're just spittingon each other. The problem is he

(04:35):
said this to me last year, and I was like, and he promised
me. He said, I'm tooold for this, and he promised me
he wouldn't do it, and thenhe was right. So I don't really
have much of a defense he washe was right last year. Unbelievable.
Well, when Mark Velenski stops by, he'll just be stopping about to say
hi. He's not coming for yourjob or anything. He's just stopping by

(04:58):
to say hi. That's Ryan's christproducer who's friends with El and has been
looking for other options. You know, you couldn't know he's been talking to
me. No, No, he'sbeen looking for other options. He said,
he's very annoying. You would notget along with him. I think
I would. He doesn't go tothese things where it's like a bunch of
people licking each other. That's true. No, he would never, honestly.

(05:23):
Yeah, yeah, all right.Natalia just started with traffic, but
maybe she wants to be a producer. I don't know. TYI Press hasn't
warning traffic the tale what's going on. I can never do that to Brian.
All right. Look, I wasa little worried this morning when I
did get one four three. Miam, it is Valentine in the morning.
Good morning. We have our textline up and running. Three one oh

(05:46):
four three. If you have anyproducing experience in the world of radio or
TV and you're looking for new opportunities, please reach out three one o four
three. As of Tuesday, we'llprobably be making a change. Where are
you going this weekend? Where's soccer'slicking anybody and it's all outside and we're
all separated. Are you going anywhere? John Huntington beach? Okay, are
you going anywhere? No, We'restaying here. Okay, your boyfriend's house,

(06:08):
your fiance's Yeah, my fiance's house. Yeah, there's a ton of
stuff. I think we're gonna startthe moving process this weekend. And what
do you do with the cats? The cat's gonna move with you that you're
allergic to them, I am allergicto them. They're gonna come. You
can't rehome them at this point.I could, but that would break my
heart. Yeah, I hear it. We're gonna try and have them come
to the house, and I'm verynervous about it. Why don't you have

(06:30):
your fiance build one of those catthings on the outside. I've seen those
cool the outdoor cat play pens andgo around the house and stuff. He
said he wanted to do a catporch. Yeah, and kind of close
them in so that they can gooutside if they want to, because that's
their main thing is they're cooped upinside the house all the time. So
they might actually be better put moretheir danda outside, hopefully in with you,

(06:53):
you know what I mean. We'llsee, we'll see. I love
it. I'm finally going to gosee an allergist next month and figure out
exactly am I allergic to them orwhat You'll get a prick in the back.
I'm doing like the whole test oflike all everything test. If they
say yeah, you're fully on yourfully allergic to cats. If it's if
it's affecting how I've been feeling,then it's different story. Yes, I

(07:15):
see now I believe Colin went likevery very young. It was like a
whole big thing they put on yourback. Okay, they tested him that
way, like a whole picture Idon't know, like a one foot by
like six inch board that had alllittle pricks on it, like it into
your like a grid. Yeah, and they press it into your back and
then they mark what pops and it'scrazy. Apparently that's what they're going to

(07:38):
do about because I've been also, not to go deep into my medical history
here, I've been getting the mostrandom hives on my hands and feet at
the most random places, at themost random times, out of nowhere,
and it's so weird. So we'regoing to try and figure out what's going
on. But it's crazy. Goodfor you, Good for you, No,
that's good, good for you.I'm glad you're doing it. Yeah,

(07:59):
you know, lots of doctors,a lot of people kick that stuff
down the road and don't worry.About it. A lot of people don't
take responsibility for that stuff. Somepeople don't take responsibility for their actions.
I ruined the whole vibes. I'msorry, I'm sorry. I take responsibility
for this. It's I wouldn't wantto lie to you, well, but
I don't want to tell you whatI'm doing. I just well, you
waited till the very last day whenI have no saying the matter. And

(08:20):
the worst part was you turned tome last year with the regret in your
eyes and you said, I'm nevergoing to do this again. I'm too
old for stuff like this. I'mnot doing it. It's not right.
I apologize. And I know youhad that conversation with your wife too,
because I think you brought it hometo your family and get your whole family
sick. Also true, But youknow, I got to live my life,

(08:43):
right, I mean, I gottaget out there. And no,
you're absolutely right. You do haveto live your life until effects the lives
of others. Oh god, I'msorry. I'm sorry. The odds that
happens twice, yeah, pretty good. A lot of buns of money on
this. He's coming back. No, don't say that'll put it out there.
Out there just to win the bet. He'll come in bleeding out of

(09:07):
his eyes. Four three listen anywherewith the iHeart radio app one of four
three my famines valence on in themorning. Does anybody get motion sickness?
Not really? Yeah, my wifedoes, a little bit. Okay,
So anytime I'm not driving, Iget carsick. Okay, this is going

(09:28):
to help you. Then, Apple, when they update their phones coming later
this year, they're going to havethis special feature for people who get motion
sickness while driving. And so whenthe vehicle is turning left or right,
these dots are gonna, Yes,they're gonna appear, and they're going to
train the brain and kind of likesynchronize it so that your phone will go

(09:48):
along with the turns and everything. So they're hoping that people will get less
motion sickness because of this new update. So you're supposed to look at your
phone. You look when you're onyour phone and you're dry, no passenger,
you past passenger. You look atthe phone as a passenger if you're
getting sick. Okay, I'm on. If I'm in the passenger seat texting,
I get nauseous. So these littledots will appear in the corner on

(10:11):
the screen and somehow go with thecar. They go across seats, they
cross the entire screen, so floodsthe whole screen. So here you get
left, it goes left right. It can tell the difference between the moving
car and you're not moving phone. And that just disruptancy, like moves message
with your mind. There's a bunchof updates in the new iOS. Yeah.
Yeah, there's a bunch of otherthings on there that caught me off
guard. What is that? Haveyou seen those glasses that have the water

(10:35):
on the bottom that are supposed tohelp, like when you're on a boat.
I've done those before. It help. It helps you for most sickness
on a boat. Yes, youlook like you're stupid. It sees glasses
we has a little water on it. So basically, take like a snorkel
and just put a little water inyour snorkel and do the same thing.
You can do that. That's it. I'm drowning. This is so weird.

(10:56):
It is my nightmare being a passengerin a car when the driver's like,
hey, can you text my mom? Oh you can't do it,
huh, And it makes you getthat nauseous and then they're like, this
is your job because I'm driving, and then after up and then it's in
the car. And then my wife'skind of like that though too. I
mean, if she's not driving, she can get nauseous. Like, Okay,
we're late, though, I've gotto drive a little faster. You

(11:16):
know, what do you want meto do. I'm doing the best I
can. You're driving like Mario,I'm dready. No I'm not. It
sticks with you too. It's justit's not Russian sickness is not fun.
We did a kind of a latehoneymoon trip, I think one time,
and it was to Hawaii and Leilanigot sick and when of those blue Hawaiian
helicopters, and back then, I'mprobably sure they still do it now.

(11:39):
They have cameras inside the helicopters andoutside the helicopters, and it's just a
computer program just randomly goes to peopleand it cuts to us. We're sitting
there and it cuts them out,and then it cuts back to us,
and she's puking the worst, andI'm just looking out the window. Look
at the mountain top. This isright. Look, I can see a

(12:01):
volcano. It's you in the Vegas. I'm so sorry. Valentine in the
morning three maya fam my niecea now, my fab it is Valence out of
the morning. Hey Monica, what'sgoing on? How are you good?
How are you? Dude? Allright? You know? Here we go
racing towards the weekend. You know, what's new with you? What's up?

(12:24):
My daughter got her license? Ohlord, I was just talking about
that, was my son. Yes, he's going through the same thing.
He's getting his license. He gotthe permit and now I guess like six
months before you get the actual license. Yes, yeah, And your daughter's
got it. Huh yep, shejust got it? Is she driving on
her own? Yeah? Yesterday shedrove to school all by herself from Inglewood

(12:48):
to Culver City and I prayed afool rosary all the way there and she
got there. Mary's our father's thewhole thing. Oh my gosh. How
did she do? Did she feelconfident? Was she scared? What was
going on? Well? At firstshe was, you know, she didn't
want to tell her dad. She'slike, don't tell dad because he's going

(13:09):
to freak out. And I said, no, it's okay. Because we
had been driving back and forth withher. Yeah, and I said it'll
be okay, And so of courseDad at seven in the morning said okay,
here's the list. Make sure youhave your keys, make sure you
know the whole nine yards. AndI was like, oh no, you're
going to make her nervous. Andthen right before she left, I gave
her the sign of the cross.I said, you're going to be fine.
You're a really good driver. Andshe's like, yeah, mom,

(13:31):
I am and went on her way. Oh. So proud of her.
Was it hard to see her likebacking out the driveway and going down the
road on her own a little bit? Yeah, but we had practiced.
I'm really just proud of her.So, yeah, do you guys have
life three sixty? No, youshould get that. It tells you how
fast they're going too. I wantto know. All right, maybe your

(13:54):
husband needs it, you're not intoit, Yes, you'll love it.
Well Monica tell her, we saidalone, congrats a right, oh thank
you. Can you just give hera shout out? Her name is Sarah

(15:00):
red carpet. I had to work. I saw that you were covering a
red carpet. What was the movieStar Wars? The new Star Wars series,
The Acolyte and so tons of StarWars fans out. It was awesome.
So now what are we going todo with that? So now let's
pull back the curtain, right Brian, now that you work with our show,
Yeah, where does that stuff live? Do we get a little taste

(15:22):
of that extra stuff? We don'town it? YEA. Valentine in the

us. Valentine in the Morning interviewedStar Wars people. People, we own

Wow, all right, that wasvery cool. Yeah, it's a great

(15:46):
lightsaber. Thank you very much. That was actually my Chewbacca. Uh all
right. Six thirty five The weathertoday morning clouds ters will partly sunny this
afternoon, tap sixties seventies for theweekend. We got so much this week
in ourselves warning clouds Sunday afternoons, highsin the seventies, fifty seven e Van
I sixteen long beats, Jill's gotIn the entertainment headlines coming up, Mariah

(16:07):
Carey says she avoids super specific lyricsin her music, and I'll tell you
why. Coming up at six fiftyWe're gonna do first sip, right,
here, but I have to tellyou about a funny moment that will make
your day. It made my dayso much. We had an event that
we went to last night, himself, John, Jill, and our boss
Paul Corvino. And we go tothis event. And before we get there,
like John reaches it first, Johnsends, don't you love the on?

(16:32):
No? Already so good? Johnsins a text, Guys, I
hear a rumor we have to takeour shoes off and just wear our socks
at this person's house. And turnsout it was true, and it was
very nice and it was just beautiful. It's a nice little thing. And
you know, looking at people's sockstells me a lot about a person,
right, Oh, they sure do. Holy moly. I was so glad
though My socks were solid. Theywere just normal low cut socks, but

(16:56):
no holes. You never know, yeah, you never know, right,
John. Socks games were good, and the sock game my Costco socks.
You might have stopped at Costco inthe way. I have no idea.
So then Jill, I'm talking tothe phone. She's in an absolute panic,
a panic. She goes, I'mwearing Disney socks, not just yes,

(17:18):
not just Disney socks mismatched Mickey Mousesocks because match you were not matched
in their Mickey Mouse. And itwas a life of the party. I
had healed boots on, and soI needed socks that stayed up. Typically
I'm in ankle socks because I'm wearingsneakers or whatever. But I needed some
some durable socks. So I wentand grabbed two socks that would stay on

(17:42):
my feet. It was the mostjill thing to ever happen, you guys,
I was in heaven. I wasin heaven. Some very powerful people
in that yes, in that lastnight, that event. Yeah, and
there I am walking around with brightred Mickey Mouse right right. It was

(18:02):
fans. I couldn't believe it.I have never lived until that moment.
It was so good. And thenshe tried like taking him off and go
barify God, No, no,you have to leave mine. It's a
conversation. Start. Nobody else wasbarefoot. It was so good. It
was so good. It was somethingwe'll talk about the event at some point,
but that was so fantastic. Ohmy gosh, I loved it.
I'll post a picture of the socks, please do. We're all standing Bucky

(18:23):
for that posting a picture of thesocks. I'll be coming up intentional conversation.
So I came home last I gethome wicked late. It was like,
I don't know. For me,it was like ten thirty when I
got home and they had gone tosome restaurant, got some food, and
they left some food out for me. It was a little solid or whatever,
said a couple of nibbles of asalm. When I got home and

(18:45):
Leilani says, to college. Hegoes, I calling you go to bed,
and he goes, Now, I'mgonna stay it forbid. I want
to talk to dad. I haven'ttalked to him all day. And we
talked, and now it's ten thirtyat night and I've got to be up
and do a radio shore. Right. We talked to like eleven o'clock to
sitting on the couch. Within intentionalconversation, you discover things about your son,
you, et cetera. Right,And so my first time today encourage

(19:07):
you to find intentional conversation. Whatis intentional conversation the intent to really be
in the moment to talk about thethings that are important to you and this
person you're sharing time with, whetherthat be as heavy as morality or your
faith, or it turns out tobe you know, just how was your
day at school? Whatever it was, that intentional conversation, because you think
about it, how much of thatday had gone by good conversation with good

(19:29):
people throughout my entire day, Right, But that intentional conversation of really just
sitting down, not just fleeting wordsthat have no great meaning, but really
listening to somebody, hearing them, responding to them, and in turn having
that real conversation. And it's gotto be the people you love. The
people you love that you can tryand have it with the person at Starbucks

(19:52):
and drive, that's fine, butthe people you love are the ones that
matter the most. When I lookback at the passing of Sam Ruben,
who is a dear friend of ourshow, and a dear friend is so
many here in Southern California. Oneof the things that I always say behind
the scenes, not sure if Isaid it on the air, behind the
scenes, I always talk about whenyour moment comes, when you are no
longer here and you pass away, right, the people that miss you are

(20:12):
the family, those people that arein your life, Like if I was
not here tomorrow or Monday or Tuesday, and I was gone. A lot
of people listen to the show andbe like, oh my god, that
sucks. I really like that guy, a nice guy. I got some
good memories the next day, thatafternoon, two days later, you've got
to go to your job, getyour kids to school. You'll be in

(20:32):
your line at your Starbucks getting yourcoffee. So the intentional conversation you need
to have is with the people youcare about. Now, have those moments
throughout your day, throughout your week. Will you sit down and you really
listen and talk to each other andbe in the moment, be present with
that person you care about so much? Count us up, Joe one two

(20:52):
three. And in that intentional conversationlast night, you know how I said
the column my son of sixteen,I go through the socks, the socks
hold on. I've got a pictureof the socks. One U four three.
My family, It is Valentine inthe morning. Good morning. If

(21:15):
you're sharing some time with us forthe first time today, thanks very much
for doing that. The little firstsip thing we're just doing there. A
second ago, we all kind ofcollectively on Friday talk about something of kind
of meaning that should be important toour lives and the kind of salute the
day, the weekend in front ofus. And then at Friday's too,
John runs down what's new in theworld of music. We got three for
you today, and the first oneis going to be a big release from

(21:37):
Charlie Pooth. This is his firstsingle towards his new album and this one
it's a little bit different for him. Take a little bit of a listen
here. This is a song calledHero, So Charlie said, a little

(22:07):
bit of right to the mic.Oh god, I thought my mich was
officer. There's gods, my wouldness, I thought it was office. Sorry
they didn't hear it. Oh good, good, thanks Brian, So Charlie
said. The songs about when yousee someone that you love hurting themselves and
ruining the things in their life thatare good, but you just can't say
them. You just gotta kind ofwatch them live their own life and learn
their own lessons. And that's oneof the hardest lessons that Charlie's had to

(22:29):
learn. And he wanted to thankTaylor Swift for letting him know musically that
he couldn't keep this song in hishard drive any longer. Now we know
Taylor shouted out Charlie in that lyricon the Tortured Poet's Department, saying that
she thought Charlie Pooh should be abigger artist. Did she say something beyond
that? I kind of assume. So maybe she heard this song and the
sound on this hard drive that hehad. But anyway that I guess encouraged

(22:51):
him to let this song go.This is one of his most vulnerable ones.
And you hear a lot of guitarin this song, and Charlie writes
a lot on the piano. Sohe said this was kind of a challenge.
He's fascinated by instruments that he doesn'tknow that well. So this is

(23:11):
a song just made with guitars.Hero from Charlie Pooth. Next one's going
to be a saxophone or and obo. Then get ready. So Zach Bryan
is the next artist here. Nowthis song has gone viral online before the
release. It's about remembering someone who'spassed. It's a song called Pink Skies
or eulogy. Think a quick listen. The kids are in town for a

(23:32):
funeral, so pack the car anddry your eyes. You see now he'd
be proud ranks be funeral, He'sbeautiful, I beg God party comment.

(23:53):
So the comments have been rolling intothis one with reactions remembering moms or dads,
friends, and it's kind of reflectingon adjusting to that new life without
someone and maybe like watching the kidsrolling together, maybe the grandkids that they're
looking at, maybe just the youngeryouth in life that are coming out.
So all smells the same as theday he broke your arms swinging on that

(24:15):
kid out on the river. Youbail them out. Never said a thing
about Jesus all the way he's living. You've seen him. Now you be
proud? What are you saying?Days, yuppies? Your funeral was beautiful?

(24:37):
Thank God hurt you coming in?I love that line so much.
Your funeral was beautiful. I betGod heard you coming like spiritual or not.
Isn't that what we hope for?To just look down at a funeral
full of love and maybe full ofloved ones that are just there celebrating you
your God? Are we depressing thismorning? Though? It's my first nip
was about intentional moments that if itwasn't here, wh y'all do? Now

(25:00):
he's got a eulogy song from ZachBryan. What's up, Bro, We're
gonna get the party vibes going ina second. And then we had that
Charlie food thing. You're staying thedepression motive. Now, it's not a
depression. That's a serious thing. But this melancholy moment that we're having,
isn't that. The thing about funeralsthough, like it can be sad or
it can be beautiful based on howyou look at it. Well, you
go through phases, and you've gonethrough some of your life already, but

(25:22):
as you get older and you goto funerals, you go through phases about
how you miss the person, howyou celebrate the person. It's a back
and forth. It's a dance thatwe do in our hearts and our minds
all the time. And the thinkabout funerals, I will say this I
learned at a very young age andimportance of going to them, you know,
because oftentimes people are like, Idon't want to go. No,
that's not my thing, it's notmy bag. But I was taught to,

(25:45):
uh, you know, grow upwith a respect for people, even
if you didn't know the person thatwell, showing up somebody's funeral was a
respect for the people that are stillhere, and it just gives them,
gives them warmth to see the facesof people that care about that moment they're
in. I think that closure isimportant. That's something I'm learning as I
grow up through life. Yeah.So that's pink Sky's or eulogy from Zach
Bryan. All right, now we'regonna light it up here a little bit.

(26:07):
The next is a big release fromtwenty one Pilots. You know them
from this song right here. Now, their seventh full album just dropped.
It's called Clancy Now. The voiceof twenty one p is as Valve calls
them. They've been working on thisnew album for a while. They tell
these these stories through their albums andcreate this lore, and this next album
is the concluding chapter to that bodyof work. It's taken them a decade

(26:30):
to complete this. So here's asong that stood out to me on that
album, and it's called Oldie Stations. Then before you know, use some
people clothes, forcing you to manageyour pas, make it out and make
mistakes, Star Streak, You're boundto break Darkness Rose Shone. Before you

(27:00):
say it, I felt say sayeveryone's saying it. I didn't say anything.
It's push on through. So thetheme of this song is darkness balls
on you push on through. Thatthat's positivity right there. They could have
put a bit more of a beaton the push on through, like this
bad Boy up. We're sitting herein melancholy Central with these songs. Not
that many bangers this week, butbut this is matching the sky. It
was really cool though. This songis called Oldie Station, and it's playing

(27:22):
on that feeling you get as yougrow up and maybe you start to hear
your favorite song now play on thatoldies station, and so that nostalgia kicks
in sure, but also with thatrealization that you're getting older and you're going
through life and those things are changing, and that's kind of a tough thing,
like even for me, Like misterBrightside to me, sounds like a
new song, but that's twenty yearsold now. Yeah, these Moon five

(27:42):
songs that I love so much arekind of dated songs now, these old
ones, you know, And that'sa weird, weird feeling for me.
And I can imagine that's a weirdfeeling as you go and kind of take
your way through life, right whenyou realize that song that you're listening to
isn't new anymore, It's been outfor a number of years. Yeah,
that shows you the rings of yourpersonal tree, right. You know,

(28:03):
we all have these progressions as weget older, as the years go by,
moments that mark those years, therings of our life, so to
speak. And that's kind of whatthey're saying in this song that even though
it gets hard sometimes and as you'reolder you may feel like you may not
have that much gas left in thetank, you just got to push on
through. Like that's the point ofthis whole life thing. It's supposed to
change. Yeah, you got topush on through. That's right. Pick
you up from that funeral a littlebit, it don't matter. Well,

(28:26):
yeah, thank you John. Buteven no matter what it is, you
have to and some of you're listeningright now might find special meaning in some
of these songs that John's playing. You do have to push on through.
If you look back at the hardestmoments in your life, absolute hardest moments.
And I don't want to take youus back to this months, but
if you look back in the versesplit second, I want to give you

(28:48):
a truth that you may not realize. You're here. You made it.
You push on through so you cando it. You can do it.
If you got past some of thosemoments, you can do it. Mental
health is a very important thing totalk about here in America. You can
do it. You've made it pastthose moments. Push on through and don't

(29:11):
listen to John's playlist First New MusicFriday Collad. It's a collad. You
can find the full playlist on thefree I Heard radio app. Just search
my New Music and it'll pop riteout. Way do you hear us?
Lighten up after the spreak? Oh, the song we're gonna play after the
spreak is just gonna light it up. One O four to three my FM.
Here's what's coming up. In entertainmentheadlines, a big name has been

(29:33):
added to the cast of the Dexterprequel series I'll tell you who he is?
Right after dropping one O four tothree my FM Entertainment headlines. Greg
Harry says that she has one bigrule when it comes to writing her songs.
She wants to make sure the lyricsapply to as many people that are
listening as possible. She avoids superspecific lyrics in her music. She said,

(29:57):
oftentimes it might be super personal tome, but I leave it basic
so it can also be somebody else'sway of releasing whatever emotional feelings or whatever
they're going through. She's like,I try not to get really super specific
because I don't want somebody else notto be able to take the lyrics I've
written and have them heal themselves andhave those lyrics pertain to whatever situation they're

(30:18):
going through. And Christian Slater hasbeen added to the cast of the Dexter
prequel series. It's called Dexter OriginalSin Coming to Paramount Plus. This show
is going to be set in nineteenninety one, which is fifteen years before
the original events of Dexter, andChristian Slater is going to play his or
Dexter's adoptive father in this show. And it's gonna be tend going around.

(30:44):
He's older, Is he still killingthat? I don't know. I don't
know if it's like an origin storyabout all of that. But such a
weird show. But Patrick Gibson, after Patrick Gibson is going to be playing
Dexter in this prequel series, I'mjill for their n Taven headlines. But
the good part was like Dexter areonly killed like bad people. So there
you go. You know, work'sout right bright? You ready, you're
gonna go with that? Is thatthe song? Is that the song?
I thought? You know, doyou have choices? If you grab that

(31:08):
one then the other one that youJill we're talking about or something like that,
And I'm gonna play a little snippetand we'll see what the room feels
like here. Okay, we're lookingfor an upbeat because right John took us
down a pass the path of melancholica. Those are the songs that came out.
Guys, no well said, wellproduced, we'll put together. But
melancholy, central melancholy. The sadnesshelps you really savor those good moments,

(31:30):
you know, Thanks Jay, Youfeel like, Okay, I'm gonna really
enjoy this happy moment. Right. But let's get to one of those that
were saying, we're stuck in thisthing here. All right, here's a
couple of options. What about somethinglike this and you go, what is
this? But this kicks in?It's John's like techno version, right,

(31:51):
or what about something like this? What two? There's that? What about
this fun one up and on theplane? I love this. This feels
like we're just like scrolling through theplaylist. We are let's go some choices

Well said, John was trending. You know those crazy stories you hear of
what celebrities do with their money.Well, one with jelly rolls going viral

(40:43):
right now. He was in thisinterview and he admitted to the most frivolous
habit he has. And he said, quote, don't judge me for this,
y'all. I promise I grew uphumble, but I only wear socks
once. No, says he buysthem in bulks so he doesn't have to
wear them more than once. Okay, he said, I'm sorry. I
hope I didn't let anybody down withthat. But he says end quote.
When you're fat, you can't havestinky feet too, so you gotta have

(41:05):
fresh socks. So what is yougive the homeless people or something? You
must give him the charity the socks. You can't just throw them out.
Jelly roll, you can't give awaysocks. But if you were one,
oh, I don't know. Imean, I wouldn't donate underwear or something.
But we like little known fact, little tune in known fact, we
have a problem with a parrel inthis world if people sending it back to

(41:27):
like all the uh, you knowthe thing you use stitch ficks or something
like that, or one of thosesongs. People use these things, and
a lot of the parrel gets thrownout. A lot of those clothes,
like fifty percent or more of theclothes made in this world actually just ends
up like landfills or thrown out orsent around the world. So I just
wonder if he does something with thosesocks you take jelly roll stinky socks,
then well I'm not but somebody elsewho might need a sock might put up

(41:49):
with the stink of the sock.I'm John Kbuchi. That's trending on socials.

(01:08:42):
bulletin board with me that had allmy friends pictures on like a big collage.
I loved the bulletin board, butwhat I did leave behind was my
lava lamp. Lamp yes, Whydid you leave it in the dorm room
for like the next person or something, or just left it out in the
quater? Was I was my parents'house. I'd stayed at home during college,
but when I moved out for thefirst time, the lava lamp went

(01:09:05):
into the trash because I don't havea place right at my home, but
it was in my room for years. Oh, so you're not to about
college. You tell me you livedwith mom and dad during college. Yeah,

I'm good? How are you great? What should we leave behind at college?
I said, shower shoes? Showershoes? Those sound nasty. Would
you like to expand on that?Or is that shower shoes and you're done?
I said shower shoes just because itreally gross throughout the year, and
your apartment should be clean enough sowe don't need them. Gotcha? And

(01:09:47):
are you out of college now?Where are you at your life? No,
I'm going to be a junior atZU Specific University. Fantastic, And
your shower shoes are gross and nasty, and when you finally do leave college,
they will not be going with you, absolutely not. They will not
be coming home with me. Wellwhy should they serve respects? Because then
it's your shower, right, youknow the shower shoes are meant for communal

(01:10:10):
showers that you're using at college.I assume, yeah, yes, me
and my roommate Hannah will not beusing them. Hopefully she's listening right now.
She's on her way to work.Well, let's just call out Hannah
for a lot of things. Andwhat did Hannah do. She better be
on her way to work and shebetter not have dirty shower shoes. I'll
tell you that right now. Yes, no dirty shower shoes. All right,

(01:11:20):
years ago, and you know, normal stuff people leave, you know,
they bring some furniture, ends upon the street or whatever. But the
one thing is your betting, yourbetting, your pillows, your pillowcases.
It never gets cleaned. They neverwatch their betting, and it's disgusting.
So yes, please leave it athome, burn it, throw it out,
get rid of it. That's agood point, the betting from your

(01:11:40):
dorm room. How often do peopleactually clean that stuff? Especially guys?
Right, I will say that isthe first thing I threw out when I
go out of college was the betting, even the company. I was just
like, yeah, it just hadto go. It's seen its better days.
Yeah right, Matt, I'm soitchy right now. I am not
kidding, seriously striving me crazy. Thanks for calling. I appreciate it.

She was she was nominated for BestSupporting Actress for Bolts Over Broadway.
She started in the Bride of Chucky. She is now going to be a

(01:17:30):
real housewive and joining Kyle Richards andErica Jane and that will start next season.
And Daniel Radcliffe, he starred asHarry Potter in all of the films.
There is a new Harry Potter TVseries coming and he says he's not
going to be a part of it. He just doesn't know how it would
work. He's just very happy towatch along with everyone else. And don't
expect him to make an appearance inthis TV show. Of course, I

feel like Harry Potter Senior and Potteror I'm Jill. The entertainment headlines.
When you watch the movies, it'sfascinating to watch these kids grow up from
that side of the camera lens.Right there are young kids, the first
Harry Potter, and then you getto the end and all of a sudden,
you're like, oh my god, they're like in college. Yeah,
and it's just so wild to seethose young faces like Daniel Radcliffe and the
rest of the gang there and comefull circle. So it'd be weird,

(01:18:17):
Like what could he do in aTV show? It would have to be
centric to their characters as adults orsomething, you know. And he talked
about having a clean break from itand not getting part of it to to
give this new cast their time toshine. Yeah, you know that too.
