Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's the Valentine in the Morning replay.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Welcome to the breakfast table A Valentine in the Morning.
I laughed heartily.
Speaker 3 (00:07):
Help it's respectful to say I love you.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
The full show podcast starts right now, one four.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Three, My family, It's Valentine in the Morning, starting up
to show. Hey, Michael, you're COVID free now right? Yes,
Michael Palmers a prestar in New York City. He's COVID free.
We moved into New York because he had COVID No
he lives in that area. How was it for you?
Was it a tough run?
Speaker 3 (00:29):
I had about two days that were awful. Yeah, then
yesterday was a little bit better and now we're back.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Jill. How many tests for you?
Speaker 4 (00:35):
Two times for me?
Speaker 2 (00:36):
You're God? That had a three, three for sure, three
for sure, three because you made a noise earlier in
your show.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
Three and a question mark. Oh dear God, I'm kidding.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
See. What I worry about him is like some people
are asymptomatic, right, and they just think it's just a
sniffle or whatever. John's a young guy, so he could
easily have it be asymptomatic and come into the studio.
Speaker 5 (00:56):
Well, if I would have thought I had COVID every
time I just came in with a sniffle that I
was hiding.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Man, you never checked that, John, You never checked.
Speaker 5 (01:04):
If it's more than a little sniffle, I check, but
a little sniffle. Like sometimes I wake up in the
a c has been going too hard, and then it's fine.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Huh, just some more checking for me, will yah, I
will know you won't. God. I think I've had it
four or five times. Wow, Yeah, I know right, some checks.
Yeah I do, and I don't come in. Yeah, that's true,
I say out if I have COVID, that's true. And
I've successfully knocked on wood with four or five times.
(01:32):
My family's never had it. That never had it. Colin
hasn't had as far as we know. Leilani hasn't had it.
Never never ever had it. Really, it's weird because when
I do get it and I stay home, I go
into a lockdown, like I am Matt Damon in that
movie where his wife cheated him with a guy in
Chicago Contagion.
Speaker 6 (01:50):
Ye.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
Yes, yeah, great movie. By the way. I locked that
thing down. Man, I lock it down. I put that
mask on. I've got you know what to do. This
is so crazy. I light sooled everything. I won't come
out of the room less. I'm a mask on. I
have gloves on, right, and that's how I touch things
and stuff. Then I go right back into my hole.
I get in my hole and I stay there. I
have even this is probably not even working. Put towels
(02:14):
at the base of the door, like you know when
you're trying to keep out the smoke of a fire
or something like that.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
This is why you have COVID so much. You're too careful.
Your immune system is like so fragile.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
But to protect the other people you goof for I
already have it.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
That's still though.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
No, it's not. You make no sense.
Speaker 5 (02:31):
No, I see I still see you wiping down door
handles in the office and stuff, trying.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
To protect you people because I have it right now.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Don't protect me.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
I came in, I got it.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
I'll lick the door handle. Don't matter to me?
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Is that a euphemism? Good morning, Natalia Perez Santami, So
you get the morning traffic. What's going on to.
Speaker 7 (02:49):
Talia in Torrents on the four or five south just
after Rose Grants Avenue.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
One of four three. My family, it is valance out
in the morning. Good morning to you guys, thanks for
listening to the show. I was watching a movie with
my mom last night at the what am I gonna
called memory care? I guess that's where she is, right,
and it's like assisted living, memory care, old folks home,
whatever you want to call it from back in the day.
And it was. It's a great movie ever, James almost
he said, Garfield, Hie, you guys don't want to they're
(03:17):
all taking a calculus test. They were accused of cheating
and everything like that. We took it to school them.
It's so great, so great, Garfield Hye. Just down the street,
great school, legendary school over the years. You know, a
lot of famous people have gone there and everything. It
was fantastic. But I'm watching it with all these ninety
three year olds and stuff. They're just watching this show.
And then another movie comes on right after and like
(03:39):
it's bedtime, mom. It's like we've watched this two hour movie.
It's bedtime, right, and they're taking some folks to bed
and stuff like that, and this so many cute little ladies,
Oh my god, so many stories and it's beautiful stories.
And I'm sad to say that you guys may never
experience this if you don't have somebody to finds himself
in this position or whatever. I hope they don't find
(03:59):
themselves in that position. But I don't know how many
of you will ever spend time in a nursing home
or a care facility like that. Maybe just won't come
into your life. Maybe well I don't know. So I'm
in there, and this one old lady, she like fell
asleep and she woke up on the second movie and
she's like, what's going on?
Speaker 6 (04:19):
I don't They were doing math and now she's on
stage singing.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
It went from Santon's liver to Selena and the lady's like,
what is happening? And it was the cutest little thing.
And it was her bedtime anyway, and sleeves like two
and a half hours. I'm like, dude, let's wrap this up.
I started wrapping people up. I go, let's hit the sack.
We got a train of wheelchairs, we gotta get it
down the halls. Like I'm starting to work there. Everything,
you know, let's go, let's go, let's all get to
bed and everything. So cute, though, was it?
Speaker 4 (04:47):
Edward James? Almost movie night?
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Yeah? Selena too right. It might have been on whatever
network or YouTube thing they're using, you know, Edward James
almost but the stories. And there was one guy sitting
at lunch with my mom, and I'll probably have more
the stories, you know, as mom spent sign there and
this guy at lunch didn't really talk at all, didn't
say anything. Mom's eating her cake. Man, she likes the food,
So Mom's eating the food. Another guy named John dresses
(05:11):
to the nines, just always dressed up. Nice leather jacket,
flashy pants, flashy shoes. It was like ninety sethter Row right.
Another gentleman sit at the table in a wheelchair, didn't
talk much, didn't say much, and I wanted to get
his name toot to interest my mom. So I go,
what's your name her? And he goes, oh, I'm Thomas whatever,
and then he just starts talking. He flew fighter jets
in the Air Force. He flew phantoms, and so I
(05:33):
pulled a picture of a phantom jet and I'm showing
it to the other people there, saying, see, hey, this
guy heard of here. He flew these things in the
Air Force. He's a fighter jet pilot. And the stories
are amazing. And I told him at forty five minutes
and f eighteen.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
Oh was he impressed?
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Very impressed. He also asked me if I ran a marathon,
so I told him I did. Wow, he asked you no,
I told him, well he was. He seemed like he
was one upping me. A lot of people were interested
in Thomas's stories, and I'm like, I've got stories too,
But it's just so it's heartwarming to know that these
people that you see as older and you know, and
summer in tough spots. My mom is you know, a
(06:09):
bit disabled and you know has trouble with things and stuff.
But they're all just us, just in an older shell,
you know what I mean. It's the same hopes and
dreams that you and I have, the hope of love
and life that's before you deal with your new marriage
and your husband and everything, and the chance to have kids.
All those dreams in front of you, same dreams that
they had per chance, and they're just us in an
(06:29):
older shell.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
Do I know what's crazy?
Speaker 6 (06:32):
I used to go to where your mom is at
every Wednesday when I was in high school, that particular place,
that particular one, I don't think.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
So, not the one she's at. You might be thinking
of a different one. Oh, really, they just built us
one three years ago, so I don't think you went
high school three years Oh we were in the state.
You thought it was a sunrise place. Yes, it's not
that place.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
I thought it was. No, that's okay, never mind.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
But tell us you went to a place like that.
Speaker 6 (06:54):
Every Wednesday to sing with the patients and with the
residents that were there.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
They love singing.
Speaker 8 (07:01):
Oh, it was so fun.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
But you're right, it's like their stories and they're just
so sweet.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
And yeah, my mom though, did I tell you the
empathy story? What she did when my sister started crying?
Speaker 4 (07:13):
You told us offt here?
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Should I tell you on there?
Speaker 9 (07:16):
Sure?
Speaker 2 (07:18):
You don't care. You're just looking for content phil something.
Let me, Yeah, he's like, I got nothing in the
five o'clock. Let me do a little break and come back.
I've gotta tell you this story. It's so funny and
it doesn't pay my mom in a bad light. So
know that we're all giggles in my family about this.
Speaker 10 (07:34):
Oh nineties to now one o four to three, my FM.
Speaker 11 (07:38):
I'm gonna tell you present that's your traffic with bound
ten in the morning.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
Thanks to tell you this was a story I was
gonna tell. I guess I must have told you guys
off the air. Jill says, yes, and I'll tell you
on the air. Listen. We love my mom, but she's
an old Irish lady and sometimes.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
She's like, you know, she's very funny, very very.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
Funny, and a lot of starcasm. That's probably where I get
it from her or my dad. We're watching this couple
dance in the lobby at this facility she's at, and
there's an old guy playing music on the piano. It's
some love song. I don't know what it is, but
pictured a love song from forty fifty years ago, right,
And this older couple's dancing in the lobby and my
(08:18):
sister Lourene, who's out visiting for the week. As we
get Mom settled, she starts to cry. And she's sitting
in a chair. My mom's in wheelchair right next to her,
and I'm sitting behind them, and Arene starts to cry
and this tear is running down her cheek and I
know what she's thinking. She's just going I wish this
is mom and dad, because my dad passed away several
years ago. So she's wishing this was just mom and
Dad that she saw dancing in front. And Mom can't
get out of the wheelchair, couldn't get out to dance
(08:39):
with me or anything. So she was picturing that. She
started to cry, and I put my hand on her
shoulder and say, it's okay. I know what you're feeling.
It's okay. And my mom looked over at her and
laughed and just started laughing and couldn't stop laughing, just
couldn't stop. Darene started crying some more, and Mom was
just rolling in tears. And I told this to my
other sister, Kathleen, who's not out here, and I got Kathleen,
you should have seen it, crying Loreen. And Mom's just
(09:02):
laughing her butt off to get us the funniest saying, oh, yeah, yeah,
I fell down the stairs one time. Mom almost wet
our pants. Like what she was she laughed at other
people's pain. Where's the empathy?
Speaker 3 (09:18):
All right?
Speaker 2 (09:18):
It's one of four to three, my fam. It is
Valentine in the morning. What's I know? He's coming up
seven to twenty five today and it's a lot of money.
I'll wake up to the sound of the sun. One
of four three. My fam eat is Valentine in the Morning.
I have a question for you guys. This is our
producer Brian Burt, whose voice you're hearing right now. In
case you're new to our show, thank you. Are you
(09:38):
more or less motivated if you're working out around hot people.
I tend like hot ladies. Yes, yeah, I would tend
to probably be a bit more motivated. I'm at the
age where if I get any attention, I'm nothing, going on, nothing,
no reason to think anything. Twenty six years married to
(09:59):
my beautiful wife Leylah, and she's smoking hot. But it
gives me the feeling like, oh, you still got it
if you get any attention from a pretty lady, you know,
and that's pathetic. And I know I sound pathetic, and
I am pathetic. You're on a hundred percent right, But
I just I get a little like wrapped up, like,
oh I still got it. So I might be more
motivated around pretty ladies. I'm sounding like a dirt bag. No, no, no,
(10:24):
I really am. I'm hearing myself. I'm sounding like a
dirtbgg round now no, no, okay, I go in this corner.
You did my fault? Yeah, I think it is more motivating.
Speaker 5 (10:32):
If hot people are around you exercising, I would be like, yeah,
that's interesting because I would think less motivating because I
feel like I don't want to deal with what I
look like to these hot people and like all the
judgment in the.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
Room, Like newsflash, you're one of the hot pieces. You're
one of the hot people. When you're like people, you're
looking in the mirror going to who's this guy?
Speaker 3 (10:51):
A chance? No chance?
Speaker 5 (10:54):
But that's why I like working out alone, Like I
want to be able to make gross noises and like,
uh huh, push myself the limit that I'm comfortable being.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
All right, So well you also work out. None of
us are really you know, okay, Jill, Oh you'r hot
person too. You can't play.
Speaker 4 (11:08):
That's so nice of you to say. But no, thank
you for that sympathy comment. Attractive men know attractive ladies.
I'm more motivated because I want to look like that.
Oh okay, I'm a little more motivated.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
Right. Well, it's different like when a guy is like
going hig or you're like it's weird, right, It's like
you deal with that on a regular basis anyway, So
the gym should be arrestied. For you.
Speaker 6 (11:29):
I've luckily never dealt with that because I'm sweaty and
super red and very out of shape, so they're not
coming over to.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
Mess noses like John. But you deal with that on
the street, the cat calls and all those other things. Yes, right,
the guy pulled up next to you in the car
to take a look in the window and see your stuff, right, yeah, yeah,
so you deal with that. I don't deal with that
as a man. That's a flip side of the gender.
On a regular basis. I don't get cat calls. I
don't get women driving up to look in the window
to see me and stuff, you know, so just that
smidge of attention at a gym would probably get me.
Speaker 4 (12:01):
You know, we're crossing that line. We're getting close that
line again.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
What are you talking about? Line?
Speaker 3 (12:10):
When you do the.
Speaker 5 (12:10):
Peloton, though, you select the most attractive option writing.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
I mean, yeah, I've said to me before, sometimes I
just watch you do I do?
Speaker 10 (12:23):
I have?
Speaker 5 (12:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (12:28):
Why get on the peloton and sit there? That's not comfortable,
That seat's horrible. So like I'll lay down in bed
and I'll be like, which workout should I do? And
I watch them for a few minutes you know, and
then I'm like, yeah, it's thirty minutes. I've already watched
a pelton. You thought I've been working out for years.
I'm just watching them in bed and I'm getting credit.
Oh wow, I hired a guy to do the peloton
for me.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Valentine in the Morning four to three nineties to now.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
There's a lot of money coming up today. Win a
lot of cash with a little countess we call what's
that noise? Today's current bot.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
Is nur hundred dollars.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Grab that at seven twenty five and Valence in the Morning,
one of four three my family, it is Valence in
the Morning.
Speaker 6 (13:16):
Yesterday we were talking about the fact that this new
cat has kind of just appeared on our front porch
and it's an outdoor cat, but we named him. We're
feeding him all that Samy.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
Cat again, Burt, and he showed up and now he's
your cat.
Speaker 6 (13:28):
Basically, well, we're just helping him out. He's super hungry,
we're feeding him, so.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
He's probably straight.
Speaker 4 (13:33):
Yeah, he's just hanging out.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
Of your house and no parties stay there.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
Right.
Speaker 6 (13:36):
So last night we're inside the living room and where
my husband's house is, it's on the street that is
not busy at all. So when a car drives by,
you notice it because there's not a lot.
Speaker 4 (13:47):
Of cars driving by normally. This car drives by, we
see the lights.
Speaker 6 (13:51):
Don't think anything of it. But then the car comes back.
It backs up, parked right.
Speaker 4 (13:56):
In front of the house. The lady gets out of
the car. So now I'm looking. They are calling our
cat Binks. So the cat that is Jeff's cat, the
other cat?
Speaker 2 (14:08):
Wait what he lost on the cat?
Speaker 4 (14:10):
Okay, not Burt, but then we have Binks, who is.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Could you use a different letter instead of doing this?
Speaker 4 (14:17):
This is the cat that Jeff is taken to the vet.
He has a caller.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Oh god, okay, wait a minute, Wait a minute, Wait
a minute, wait a minute. Because all of us at
this hour of the morning, nobody had like, you know,
six or ten. Here is this powerful in their mind
to understand this two cats, Well, your lady is calling
out Burt Binks.
Speaker 6 (14:32):
Since the lady's not calling out any names, she's trying
to get our cats.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
She's trying to steal your cat.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
To steal our cat.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
Oh I thought that you said there's a stray cat
comes in the yard. Lady comes pulling up I'm thinking
that's probably her cat.
Speaker 6 (14:43):
That's a different cat, different cat, But the other cat
didn't start to do with anything then because he comes
back into the story, I haven't finished my story yet.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
Our lady is trying to steal one of your cats,
and neither cat is hers.
Speaker 4 (14:55):
Neither cat is hurt.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (14:57):
So Jeff goes outside and he opens the door and
he's like hello and like yelling to the.
Speaker 8 (15:02):
Lady and she is like, oh, oh, sorry, is this
your cat?
Speaker 6 (15:08):
And Jeff said, yes, that's our cat. She goes, oh,
he just looks so friendly. We were gonna take it,
like she just hold one, just says she was going
to take our cat. And Jeff's like, no, no, that's
our cat.
Speaker 12 (15:17):
She's like, okay, sorry, she she thought it was just
like a straight yeah, right, but somebody else's cat.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
Well no, no, no.
Speaker 4 (15:32):
No, you're just feeding it. We don't put it inside.
Speaker 5 (15:35):
You wouldn't have taken it in the car and take
that cat though, Banks is ours.
Speaker 6 (15:41):
Then one again, Bert Burt can go wherever he wants.
But lady could have taken Burt if she wanted to, her,
take Bert if she wanted to.
Speaker 4 (15:51):
Bert's not ours. We just feed him.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
Do you think Bert might stay there because you feed him?
Speaker 8 (15:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (15:57):
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So you've taken a cat.
If you feed the cat, you're taking the cat.
Speaker 4 (16:01):
Burt showed up at our house.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
Yeah, Bert might have been lost and you didn't give
them directions home. You said, stay here, Burt, we'll feed you.
Speaker 4 (16:07):
I don't know where Bert lives.
Speaker 6 (16:11):
What was the moral to this that if you see
a cat with a collar, don't try to put it
in your car?
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Got it? I won't. You've convinced me, Natalia Perez, if
you see a cat with a collar, don't you dare
put it in your car? What do we got for
the morning traffic?
Speaker 3 (16:30):
I won't do it. I won't it.
Speaker 7 (16:31):
Okay, ten West is starting to really slow down as
you leave down.
Speaker 6 (16:38):
That was a request that came in on the text
line at three one oh four to three from Kelly.
Speaker 4 (16:41):
She wanted to hear some shivers. That was for you, Kelly,
get the.
Speaker 6 (16:45):
Black nail polish out because it's time for new music
Friday in just a couple of minutes.
Speaker 5 (16:51):
Yeah, this is going to take you back to those
very emo early two thousand stays.
Speaker 8 (16:54):
Oh I love it.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
It's gonna be a good one today.
Speaker 6 (16:56):
So excited about that. And then the jackpot for What's
That Noise? Thanks one thousand dollars Thursday, nine thousand, four
hundred dollars. That money can be yours. Coming up at
seven twenty five with Valentine the Mornings, What's That Noise?
Speaker 13 (17:08):
Valentine in the Morning one O four to three May
FLM nineties to now.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
One of four three, My fam it is Valentine in
the Morning Time For New Music Friday, Johnny took.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
It to work.
Speaker 5 (17:21):
All right, put your black nail, Paula Sean, because we're
getting nemo today. First off, we're gonna lead from the
newest from Halsey. It's her latest single off her upcoming album,
and this one's gonna feel I think very early two
thousand's alternative.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
It's called Ego.
Speaker 10 (17:33):
I thank you, Ma Feta on the ground and I'm
nerds what.
Speaker 8 (17:38):
You'll think of an.
Speaker 10 (17:49):
ELM.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
I think this is my favorite of her new music
so far.
Speaker 5 (18:04):
I was into this and she was saying how when
she was writing this most recent album, it got her
thinking about how life would be different if she was
like a pop star in any other decade, whether that
be the nineties or the early two thousands. We had
that interpolation, which was the last single that she released
off the Britney Spears she did Lucky, and then now
we have this one, which to me kind of feels
very early two thousands Avril Lavigne. So it's kind of
(18:25):
cool seeing her play with these different egos, these different
periods of what Halsey would be if she was born
some other time. I thought that was kind of cool.
So she's gonna be performing it this year's I Heard
Radio Music Festival. I feel like this is the song
she seems most excited about based on social stuff, so
I bet we might see it for the very first
time live.
Speaker 4 (18:42):
Very cool.
Speaker 5 (18:46):
So this album comes out next month, but this is
ego from Halsey.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
We, like I said, we're in a little bit of
a theme today.
Speaker 5 (18:53):
We're gonna stay in that alternative world for a minute
because Big News dropped yesterday.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
Why park dude.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
Remember they've been teasing this big announcement all week.
Speaker 5 (19:02):
We were all wondering what it was, and then they
just dropped it all at the same time. A new album,
a new tour, a new lead single, and a.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
New lead vocalist and her name is Emily.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
Her name stop it exactly. Nobody replaces Chester. No, but
I love this right. I love the idea of the
female lead vocalist for this group.
Speaker 3 (19:33):
I do, and I think she sounds great. Like listening
to this gave me the chills.
Speaker 5 (19:39):
It's not Chester, it's not too new, but the essence
is still there.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
Yes, yeah, I think you would approve.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
Great.
Speaker 5 (19:48):
Lincoln Park is starting this new chapter of their band.
They're not field members are still there too, so, but
the new members are. They're not completely moving on, but
I feel like they're not dwelling on the past either,
and that's what I like the about this.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
So they have this whole album coming out November.
Speaker 5 (20:02):
It's called From Zero, and they're gonna kick it off
with a series of six concerts and cities from around
the world.
Speaker 3 (20:08):
The first one is going to be a show in
Inglewood at the.
Speaker 5 (20:10):
Forum next week Whoa September eleventh. The Lincoln Party's back
seven years later, a new chapter and this is called
The Emptiness Machine.
Speaker 4 (20:23):
I like it.
Speaker 5 (20:33):
And then finally here we're gonna basically close up our
little alternative detour here.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
I thought this was such a cool release.
Speaker 5 (20:40):
So Disney gave the green light on a cover album
for a bunch of the Disney classic songs.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
It's called the Whole.
Speaker 5 (20:46):
New Sound, and it's the same Disney songs, you know,
but they use all these nineties two thousands pop punk
bands to cover them.
Speaker 3 (20:53):
Check out Can You Feel the Love Tonight? By Simple Plans?
Speaker 2 (20:56):
Stop it? Yeah, wait a minute, yeah, I want to
be prepared for this. Everyone to take a deep breath
because this could be hilarious or amazing. But I don't
trust you because you're a Disney ambassador. You secretly work
for Disney. Have never told any of us. No, it's
your John, you know to it's her cover story. Loves
Disney so much. Her house is all Disney themed.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
You know.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
She wanted to get rid of Batman and have Mickey Man.
All right, here we go, simple plan. Can you Feel
the Love Tonight? Yes, it's very simple plan. But somewhere
(21:59):
Elton John is rolling over in a silk robe.
Speaker 5 (22:03):
I feel like it's this cool mix between the nostalgia
of that two thousands pop punk alternative feel and also
the nostalgia of those Disney movies that you.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
Know, yes, and it just combines them with the whole
album yeah.
Speaker 5 (22:14):
So for example, like a Whole New World from Aladdin,
that's my yellow card on this albums like Girls Desk,
You'll Be in My Heart from Tarzan the Plate, like
Teas do Surface Pressure from Encanto Boy for Soup, That's friend.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
Like Me from Aladdin. Like it was such a cool
experience to just go through this album.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
It's you know what I would say, it's good when
I've heard so far. It's just you can't replace and
they're not trying to. You can't replace legendary. This feels
like to me, like you should be airing during Zach
and Cody during their show or something. You know, like
that ship there whatever, there's a blow deck or above
deck or something, Zach and Cody. No, No, that's the
(22:53):
Dirty Show. Zach Sweet like Zach And it feels like
sharing in the credits for that or the opening like
it's a theme song, y'allo. You know.
Speaker 6 (23:00):
But they're not trying to be legends and like recreate
these legendary songs.
Speaker 4 (23:04):
They're trying to bring that.
Speaker 6 (23:05):
Nostalgia for us who you up loving this type of
music and lovedy.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
And you know that because you work for Disney, because
or they gave you a memo.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
They said that, yeah, and some of the releases. That's
exactly what they were saying.
Speaker 4 (23:16):
She's friends with the lead singer of Yellow Card.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
Dude, you have all these friendships and you never bring
the people to the radio show. What you like. Grew
up with Tanasehe or something Britta did.
Speaker 4 (23:28):
My sister grew up with one sister friends.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
Your sister's best friend has never been on a show.
Do they You missed a point?
Speaker 3 (23:39):
Yellow Definitely? I didn't know that. I love Yellow Card.
Speaker 2 (23:43):
Well, you'll never meet them, John, apparently, because she keeps
her friends tied to the best.
Speaker 4 (23:48):
I'll introduce you to Ryan.
Speaker 3 (23:49):
We'll see about that.
Speaker 5 (23:50):
It's the full playlist on the free I High Radio app.
Just search my new music and then I'll pop right up.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
Who wants the first sip? We reverse the order today
First Zip coming up for a brand new audience and
just to few minutes. If you need help with anything,
if there's anything in your life that you would like addressed,
if there's a feeling that you've got right now that
you need help understanding. Sometimes First Zip is all about that.
Reach out at three one oh four to three, one
(24:14):
of four to three. My family, it is Valentine in
the morning. Let's do first sip before we take a
break here. First sip is a chance for all of
us to reflect in the day in front of us.
And if you were in a vehicle right now, check
the sky. The sun rise was just illuminating beautifully in
the sky a few minutes ago. Now the clouds are
like what I like to call skydiving clouds, just enough
(24:34):
in the sky, because I mean skydive. You don't want
fully big blue sky, in my opinion, and you don't
want overcast obviously. You want to see a little cloud
here and there and stuff. And I think that's what
we see out that window right now. But today's first
Sip is about step by step. If you've been listening
to the show for any period of time, or maybe
(24:55):
you just came to it and you heard it. This
past week, I moved my mom from Connecticut to be
with me here in California. And she's eighty five, has
late onset Alzheimer's and is handicapped, and so it's a
very very tough thing for her to leave her home
of fifty five plus years, maybe sixty years, not even sure,
and to move out here, you know, facing what she's facing.
(25:19):
And it's tough on families too to do stuff like that, right,
it's tough when families have to make decisions they don't
want to necessarily make. Who wouldn't want to stay in
your own personal home forever? We'd all want that more
than likely. But I had to make a move that
was going to be safe for her and write for
her where she could be cared for and loved on
(25:40):
a regular basis, and flying back and forth the Connecticut
and broadcasting from my childhood bedroom, you know, every month
or so. It is difficult. My sisters live far away.
So it was a right move. But sometimes life can
just feel absolutely overwhelming. Sometimes in life, you're swimming and
it's great. There you are. You're looking good, right, you're
(26:04):
Lance Armstrong. Oh that's the biker you're Who am I
thinking of? Mister Swinger? Michael Felps, Michael Phelps, you're looking good,
Lance arm Storks sinking, don't be h So you're Michael Phelps.
You're looking good. You're swinging away in Some days you're
treading water, right, some days you better have a snorkel
because they're underwater. And that's what life is sometimes. But
(26:25):
if you take it step by step, day by day.
We've all got long term plants, but sometimes getting to
them can seem daunting. So step by step, little bits
sometimes that's what's getting me through this whole process. Step
by step by step. Fix one thing today, fix one
thing tomorrow. Don't try and do it all on one day. So,
(26:45):
whatever is in front of you in life right now,
and I know you've got something, I know you've got
something you're working on. Maybe it feels like a lot
of pressure. Whatever it is for you, can you find
it in your in your head right now? Can you
find it in your mind's I find it right now?
Everyone in the room. Find whatever it is that's kind
of heavy in your life that you've got to work on. Today,
(27:10):
take one step towards that goal, just one, and tomorrow
take another, and day by day you're gonna find yourself
going down that path.
Speaker 4 (27:20):
Count us up, Chill one, two, three.
Speaker 2 (27:28):
Some text coming in here. Val It's tough, and you also,
your heart's so big, you're a great son. Big love
to you. I did not pick that one because it
was nice about me. I just read the version, Valentine,
you love your mom adores you. That's jeff A Zelle,
Thank you very much. Valentine loves simple plan. Howdare you
say anything bad about them? Oh that's a different text ever,
my net. We've all got in front of us, right,
and I hope your day is like that sunrise that's
(27:50):
out that window. One O four to three MYFM.
Speaker 10 (27:53):
Here's what's coming up in entertainment headlines.
Speaker 6 (27:57):
There's one reason why the next of south Park is
being delayed until next year.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
I'll tell you what that one reason is. Right after
traffic one four.
Speaker 10 (28:07):
To three my FM Entertainment headlines.
Speaker 6 (28:10):
Tom Hanks and Carrie Fisher made a movie back in
nineteen eighty nine called The Burbs, and now there's a
new series coming to Peacock based on that film.
Speaker 4 (28:19):
It's gonna start.
Speaker 6 (28:20):
Keky Palmer and Brian Grazer and Seth McFarlane are among
the executive producers of the show. And the guys from
south Park, the creators of south Park. They are tired
of politics and that's the one reason why the next
season of south Park is being delayed until next year.
Matt Stone says, We've tried to do south Park through
(28:42):
four or five presidential elections. It's such a hard thing.
Speaker 4 (28:45):
To do.
Speaker 6 (28:46):
It's such a mind scramble, and it seems like it
takes outsized importance, and he says, it kind of takes
over everything, and.
Speaker 4 (28:52):
We just have less fun.
Speaker 6 (28:54):
So they're just letting politics do their thing and then
they'll bring South Park back once it's all over.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
I'm Jill with They're in two headlines six fifty five.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
We do have the Battle of Sexes coming up. Then
it's seven twenty five. Today it's nine four hundred bucks
of what's that noise? Yeah, you can win close to
ten grand if you're listening to this radio station at
seven twenty five. Tell your friends, tell your family, get
people tuned in seven twenty five this morning, and I
(29:23):
may just give you a clue. Oh no, we're not.
I was gonna just definitely not all right. Well, anyway,
you're gonna go live on Instagram in a couple seconds
at Go for Valentine, at Go for Valentine and Instagram go.
Then the number four Valentine and insect coming up during
the weekend. Saber tiers seven twenty five close to ten
grand one of four to three mifm of cyrus flowers
(29:50):
at one of four three mifm it's Valentine in the morning.
You guys watch that game last night at Chiefs Ravens. Yeah,
I was so mad. I was screaming, we'd gone to
pick us some food because they're at you know, visiting
my mom all day. And then Colin had late soccer
practice and he's got z in the park tonight. Yeah,
you didn't send in the park tomorrow tomorrow night. Yeah,
I got to tell me, super careful, man, because what's
gonna happen. You've been to this stuff before. Yeah, people
(30:12):
jumping all the time. Definitely, dude in one hundred degrees though.
Speaker 3 (30:15):
Yeah, it's later, so it's cooling down a little bit.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Yeah, a little bit.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
Come on till probably nine.
Speaker 8 (30:20):
Nine in the eighties in the eighties.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
Give him some earplugs.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
That's what I need, one hundred percent.
Speaker 3 (30:26):
I've been wearing those. It's been saving my.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Life one hundred percent. So I was watching the game
last night from the restaurant while I was waiting for
some takeout, and I was like, oh, come on, come on,
come on, and nothing agains the Chiefs and I love
Taylor Swift, nobody come after me. But I wanted the
raven swing because I don't want to see the Chiefs
get a three peet. You know, no one's ever done
that in the NFL. I don't think they've won three
out of four, but no one's done one, two three
(30:49):
in the history of the NFL.
Speaker 4 (30:50):
Okay, So I.
Speaker 2 (30:51):
Know I want the Chiefs to get it. I'm just
that type of guy.
Speaker 4 (30:54):
But how good did Taylor Swift look last night?
Speaker 14 (30:57):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (30:57):
She looks so good.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Oh that little crappie to thing or whatever.
Speaker 6 (31:00):
She's wearing her boots, red boots, boots, tea boots.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
Got it.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
The red boots that.
Speaker 6 (31:08):
She was wearing are apparently the same boots she wears
in the Look What You Made Me Do music video reputation.
Taylor's version is coming sooner than we think.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
What you see your boots?
Speaker 12 (31:22):
Your husband said the same thing.
Speaker 2 (31:24):
She was in a booth. I never liked she was
up in a suite. I never saw her shoes.
Speaker 4 (31:28):
She was walking.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
I missed that. I didn't watch her walking. I was
watching the game. When was she walking to get to
the suite. Oh, I must have missed that.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
Yeah, and what channel was that on?
Speaker 2 (31:38):
You walked to thee.
Speaker 3 (31:41):
That's just been going around?
Speaker 1 (31:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (31:42):
Yeah, the red boots, the red boots.
Speaker 2 (31:45):
Yes, my eyes are up here, so I wasn't looking
at her, right right? Do you like Travis Kelsey without
the beard?
Speaker 3 (31:53):
Okay, I don't know what happened to his haircat last night.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
I'm not a fan. He went to the same place
I want, yes, ask me out. I was not into that.
And because he had a beard before, right, am I
spacing out?
Speaker 4 (32:04):
He had a very big.
Speaker 6 (32:05):
Beard and that was just a mustache, right, yeah, he
cut that out to the Super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
Yeah, I'm not a fan. Well, I haven't seen him
since the Super Bowl because I watch football.
Speaker 4 (32:13):
You're not watching the channel.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
No, I'm not on the Jill ch Sorry. But anyway,
Ravens last second touchdown to tie the game up with
like four seconds and the guy's foot was out of
bounds by like a quarter of an inch, Like if
he just had a foot that was a quarter of
an inch smaller. Yeah, he's getting a touchdown and it
would have been a great finish to the game.
Speaker 6 (32:31):
And so we learn it.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
The NFL is making his whole thing. So Taylor kills
seeing the Chiefs can win all my friends, Yes, exactly.
The reps are thrown to the Chiefs. Love the tree
you know. Yeah, they all love the chiefs. Yeah, that's
what it was. It's the business. It's the old Tom
Brady thing. Oh, they're doing it so tom Brady can win.
And now Tommy's out, so now it's like, oh, this
is all for them, you know, and homes is having
(32:52):
another baby. Let's make them all win well.
Speaker 6 (32:54):
In the promo video the NFL promo video, Taylor Swift
was shown more times than any football player. She's like
five times in that promo video.
Speaker 2 (33:01):
Okay, there's your answer. It's a conspiracy. She loves Hill's
part of it. Okay, seven twenty five This morning, nine
four hundred bucks coming away here at one O four

is one of four three mifm. As temps rise throughout
southern California, many students are sitting in classrooms with no
air conditioning. How can this be during these hot spells
here in southern California? How can we let that happen? Fact,
at least thirteen schools in Long Beach have no air
conditioning at all. Teachers have been bringing in fans and
opening windows to help deal the heat. Temps and Long
(37:21):
Beach today are expected to be between ninety five and
one hundred. You can't have kids in a classroom with
no AC when it's ninety five to one hundred degrees outside.
Get portable units, do something. The NFL season kicked off
last night. The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Ravens on
a very questionable call twenty seven to twenty. I mean
his foot was out of bounds, but whatever. On Sunday,
the Chargers start their season with new head coach Jim
(37:43):
Harbaugh when they host the Raiders at so Far that
in Sunday night, the Rams travel to Detroit the facing Lines.
Last time these teams played, the Lines knocked the Rams
out of the playoffs in the NFC Wildcard Game, So
payback is coming. John was trending.
Speaker 5 (37:56):
So the stage coach lineup just dropped yesterday. Headlining is
Zach Bryant, Jelly Roll, and Lukecombs. But lately they've been
adding so many non traditionally country artists and I am
punned for this year. Closing out the late night Palomino
stage is going to be the Backstreet.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
Boys, back Streets, back in Chaps.
Speaker 3 (38:15):

Speaker 5 (40:07):
We're hearing that John has it well, because I can't

Speaker 2 (40:37):
Okay, we'll try that. But then you can only watch
your game because you can't watch at the same time watch.
You both can't do it, So only two screens you

Speaker 10 (50:52):
Here's what's coming up in entertainment headlines.
Speaker 6 (50:56):
You may have heard that Keith Urban said something and
it's ounds very unusual, and he said it about Miley Cyrus,
but he promises it was a compliment. I'll tell you
what he said right ex.
Speaker 10 (51:06):
Traffic one four to three, my FM entertainment headlines.
Speaker 6 (51:11):
If you grew up in the nineties, the name Lisa
Frank probably means something to you if you remember. It's
all those colorful designs, the Neon rainbows and unicorns and
school supplies and clothing. I loved Lisa Frank. Well, now
there's a docuseries coming to Prime Video. It's called Glitter
and Greed The Lisa Frank Story, and it's a four
(51:31):
part documentary about the quote brand that defined girlhood for
a generation of Americans, only to seemingly disappear overnight. And
you may have seen a headline yesterday about Keith Urban
saying Miley Cyrus sounds like an ash tray. He meant
it as a compliment, he said I've always loved Miley.
He had just performed Flowers during this interview, and he said,
(51:54):
I love that voice. Man, that voice. She sounds like
an ash tray. And I mean that as a compliment.
So if you do see that going around. He meant
it in a loving way.
Speaker 2 (52:04):
No, I get it there, raspiness, No, it's I don't
know if I call her an astroid, but it's a
great voice.
Speaker 6 (52:12):
There will be at our Iheartrating Music Festival in Las Vegas.
I'm Jill with the entertainment headlines, and I got approval
for my happy news. My niece Hazel made student council
in her classroom.
Speaker 2 (52:26):
That's great.
Speaker 6 (52:26):
Congratulations at present in front of the class and everybody
had to vote and she made student council.
Speaker 2 (52:32):
So just like the full student council is not like
president or vice president anything like. That's just to do
a council.
Speaker 4 (52:36):
I believe there's representatives from each classroom.
Speaker 2 (52:38):
That's great. What is she going to change? What's she
gonna do?
Speaker 4 (52:40):
Well? I have her little statement here. Oh, okay, you
want me to read.
Speaker 2 (52:44):
It, well, let's get music for that. Gabriel, hang on,
Jill's gonna read his statement. Now, I have to warn you.
I have to warn you legally if you're reading this. Yes,
we have to have the opponent on the air. I
think equal tie laws applied.
Speaker 6 (53:05):
But the.
Speaker 3 (53:07):
Okay, okay?
Speaker 6 (53:08):
Hazel wrote, I would be a good student council member
because I am creative and I can come up with
different ideas and activities. I also love to show school
spirit and participate in the school functions. It would mean
a lot to me to be a member of student council.
Speaker 2 (53:27):
Good job, Hazel, Congratulations. How long is the term?
Speaker 4 (53:36):
Oh that's a good question. I don't know. I'm hoping
the entire school here.
Speaker 2 (53:39):
Yeah, I think so. Yeah, Gabriel, thank you for holding
on through and I appreciate you. What's your happy news?
Speaker 14 (53:46):
Bud our Son Andreas is performing in his first fan
performance at the Chuno Hills High School football game tonight.
So we're super excited and everyone's going to be there.
Son can't wait.
Speaker 2 (54:00):
What's he played?
Speaker 3 (54:00):
What instrument he's he plays the clarinet?
Speaker 2 (54:03):
Clarinet? Okay, god, that's a that's a good instrument when
you're first learning it, though not so much, not so much.
It takes a lot of pri it does my sisters
play the clarinet, and uh, my mom wouldn't let me
because she heard it for two children. Fire. I think
it would be great in honor of your son performing
(54:23):
tonight with Tina Hills High, could you give us a
little bit of a mouth impression of the clarinet your
son plays.
Speaker 14 (54:33):
I don't know if I understand that question.
Speaker 2 (54:39):
You'd make the noise of the clarinet like do.
Speaker 14 (54:45):
That's more of a trumpet?
Speaker 2 (54:49):
We thought it was great. We thought it was great.
Tell your son congratulations and best of luck, and I
enjoy yourselves.
Speaker 3 (54:54):
All right?
Speaker 15 (54:55):

Eight twenty five? I do do do do? Do?
Speaker 10 (55:08):
Do?
Speaker 4 (55:08):
Do?
Speaker 2 (55:08):
Do do? They do a live radio show Doodle Doodle
doodle do do do? But you can't tell because they're
so smooth and make no mistakes when the words come
out of their mouth, they're great.
Speaker 4 (55:20):
I do love a good doodle doo. You don't hear
those very often anymore.
Speaker 2 (55:26):
Yeah, I love a good doodley do something you don't?
You don't hear that often? Do you? You don't hear
that often? It's funny, and I hope you enjoy your show.
I really do, and we welcome you to the show
this breakfast tables and friends of Microphones. But I often
(55:46):
do a self critique in my head when moments like
this happen, and say, Ryan Seacrest is mega rich, super famous,
got all those bells and whistles right, just unimaginable type stuff,
and that station is just down the hall, And I'm like,
I can't hear him ever acting like we do on
(56:08):
the air, right, did you limit? I don't ever see
that happening in life. I just wouldn't see it. It's
not him, right, And then I go, maybe we shouldn't
because they pay him massive, massive money, and he's got
homes all over the world, and I guess he has
an olive farm. I'm like everything, like, so maybe I
should stop doing this, But then I could have that.
Speaker 3 (56:32):
Is that the only thing in the way? We think?
I don't think that's the only thing standing in your way?
Speaker 2 (56:42):
What else is sending in my way? John? Go ahead?
Speaker 3 (56:44):
I don't know. There are a bunch of TV shows
in the middle.
Speaker 4 (56:46):
There is a bunch of stuff.
Speaker 2 (56:48):
Are you saying it's my haircut? Are you saying it's
my haircut, but it's standing the way of all of us.
He's doing the duple dues over here too.
Speaker 4 (56:55):
I'm so happy.
Speaker 8 (57:00):
All right, doodlely do it up?
Speaker 6 (57:01):
Okay, all right, if Bryan Seacrest starts doing some doodlely doos.
Speaker 4 (57:06):
We know something, right, Okay.
Speaker 2 (57:08):
I don't think it's gonna happen. I just like it's
a it's just not he's professional. Yeah, that's the difference, right.
And you worked over there, oh yeah, and they got
rid of you pretty fast.
Speaker 10 (57:18):
That's true. That's true.
Speaker 3 (57:19):
That's a whole machine over there. They had a thousand people.
Speaker 2 (57:22):
You're just like, yeah, thousand people work in that show.
And people go, how many people work in Valentine in
the morning. I go, half of them? Uh, this is
a you know, not as professional broadcast. Yeah, but here
we are.
Speaker 4 (57:33):
We're just normal everyday people, you know.
Speaker 2 (57:35):
Yep, yeah, yep. By the way, John peaks on vacation
our boss this week, so that's why you heard Diddley doos.
I want to tell you about nine thousand and five
hundred bucks coming up at eight twenty five this morning.
Here one of four three mile fami. If you're on
the way to school right now. Have a great day school.
Try and be a difference maker in school. Be kind
to other people in school. Be accepting of others and
their differences. Hold the door for a friend, make a
(57:57):
new friend. Even it's just a smile. That can make
it difference in somebody's life today, and it might make
a difference in yours. School can be hard and we've
all gone through it, and you're going through tough stuff sometimes.
So do the best you can to be a friend
to everybody at school today. Don't get involved in the
back and forth, he said, She said, And you see
what's on Instagram or I texted somebody this or whatever.
(58:17):
Try and avoid that stuff and just have a great,
great day. At eight twenty five, though it's close to
ten grand with what's that noise? Good luck as five
hundred bucks coming up eight twenty five and one A
four three MYFM, My family, it's Valentin in the morning.

Speaker 2 (58:58):
What are we doing? Right?
Speaker 4 (59:00):

Speaker 2 (59:00):
Should we all start working like at night when it's cooler,
flip the script on America and we all just come
to work at night and then we sleep during the day. Yep,
that's my new script for my new movie. I'm writing

And I feel like when it's hot, you don't really
want to move, you don't really want to do anything.
But this song comes on and even if you are sweating,
you're still gonna shimme me.

Speaker 2 (59:51):
What do you got John?
Speaker 3 (59:53):
I want to be a little bit more real.
Speaker 5 (59:54):
I think when you see the today is going to
be one hundred and eight, I think this is the
first thought that comes to mind.
Speaker 4 (01:00:06):
That I forgot about this song?
Speaker 12 (01:00:08):
Is that.
Speaker 10 (01:00:09):

Speaker 2 (01:23:37):
For they do have rules for a lot of the

a game of Sunday. I don't know what it is,
but I think it's like if it's about ninety four
to ninety five or something like that, they cancel games.
But it's gonna be in triple digital. So I don't
know what the plan is, but I know a lot
of schools will also cancel practice if it reaches a
dangerous tipture. You know, my son flags still talking.
Speaker 15 (01:24:01):

Speaker 2 (01:24:11):
Week, just done. And how old your kid? He's nine, Yeah,
so you don't want to mess around like the little
nine year old kids of that either. And my kid's sixteen,
you know, but you got to be careful with that stuff.
Heat related deaths and you know, heat stroking stuff. That's
no joke, no joke. But Lily, you are here for
a different reason than fore cast talk. You are here
(01:24:32):
for nine six hundred dollars. We're gonna play you noise.
You have ten seconds to identify what it is. If
you get it right, you win nine thousand, six hundred bucks.
You get it wrong, we had money to the jack body.
Speaker 15 (01:24:40):
Kay, okay, thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:24:43):
Here it comes ten seconds in o'clock for nine thousand,
six hundred bucks. What's that noise?
Speaker 15 (01:24:51):
Is it a nail file or an emory board?
Speaker 2 (01:24:54):
A nail file or an memory board? The answer is
new nice guess. I like it, but that's not it.
Speaker 15 (01:25:05):
Okay, that's right again.
Speaker 2 (01:25:07):
Thank you, Lily, have a great day. Thanks for listening.

here and I go. I got this email about the
festival from Tom Pullman, right, and you.
Speaker 4 (01:26:31):

the new kids on the block.
Speaker 2 (01:26:34):
Because some people pay attention to their friends and some
people don't.
Speaker 4 (01:26:41):
Is it weird, though, that your three friends didn't hear that?
Speaker 2 (01:26:44):
Do I have three friends? Question?

And I were tearing it down.
Speaker 2 (01:29:57):
You took my kid and put him in front of
the speed without ear plug.
Speaker 3 (01:30:01):
It's where you can hear the best.
