Speaker 2 (00:03):
Welcome to the breakfast table of Valentine in the Morning.
I laughed heartily.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
Help it's respectful to say I love you.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
The full show podcast starts right now.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
One of four to three. My Ben, it is Oh God,
that sounds awful, guys.

Speaker 4 (00:19):
Not horrible.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
I said three words, it's not gosh, it's not good.
So I thought it was a smoke. But clearly I
caught a cold during all this. I'll take the decongestion
because you guys don't need to be listening to me
like this today.

Speaker 5 (00:34):
How are you, Jill, I'm okay, I'm I'm all right.
I'm still in New York City, coming home tonight. Cannot
wait to get back home. I just I've been keeping
up with everything on thre media and you know, talking
to my family, my husband non stop. But I just
can't believe everything going on.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
Still.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Yeah, God, you're living the life, aren't you. Fancy hotel?

Speaker 4 (00:55):
I know so bad. I feel so bad.

Speaker 5 (00:58):
Wowbody that I've been talking to here, you know, at
the hotel and going out to dinner last night, like
you going out to dinner last night.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
I did.

Speaker 6 (01:06):
Oh, I gotta eat a very respectful solemn dinner.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Yes, there was no smiling, no laughing, no nothing.

Speaker 5 (01:15):
But the second that people hear that you're from Los Angeles,
oh you get free dessert.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
You get a lot of like what can we do
for you, ma'am? What can we do that's been for you?

Speaker 4 (01:24):
But people have a connection. Yeah, my cousin's there.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
Or you know, someone says there, and you know, everybody
is just you know, we'll say, you know, thoughts and prayers,
thoughts and prayers, and and everybody has affected somehow.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Yeah, as thinking about that in the way up in
the elevator this morning, it's like we're all, you know,
especially all of us here in California, all tied together.
Southern California. Buy this. You'll never forget this, you know,
you'll never forget it. We're always tied together by this moment.
It's like a nine to eleven type moment in certain respects
where you're tied together by your tragedy, you know, or
just if you survived an earthquake, you survive a wildfire,
whatever it is, you're tied together forever by that tragedy.

(02:01):
If you were part of the people affected by it, h.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
You sound a little rough.

Speaker 6 (02:11):
I'm not gonna.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Doesn't sound good, does it right? It's not it's not attractive.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
I mean, I'm sure you haven't been sleeping great this
week to.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
Say, Joe kind of attractive, You're so weird first peak.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Now vale thing for coworkers.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
I think, stop, you've had you cannot have a thing
for coworkers, Joe. We thought we nipped that in the butt.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
I know.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
I thought that Jeff is funny.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Jeff is a lot of talents, and Jeff goes. And
I think I could work, uh in the entertainment indstry.
I think I could. Could I come work at my femica? No,
my heart so with my heart Jill and our coworker problems. Jeez,
you want to hear me sing?

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Sing?

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Dear God, I'm struggling to speak, and you want to
hear me sing.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
When you've got a cold and you sing, Oh, my
book improves a million times.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
It does.

Speaker 7 (03:02):
Yes Tooa loualurah too, hallulah too, hellurallurah. Hush, Now don't
you cry, oh older. Many years ago, my mother sang

(03:27):
a song to me in tones so sweet and low,
just a simple little ditty.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
In a good old Irish way. What I give to here?
Sing that song to me to der ooh la la
la la la.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
They're a good old Diddy.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
H simple little Diddy, simple little I didn't say good
old Diddy. Don't cancel me. I don't know. Val got canceled.
I had a cold. He said good old Diddy. I
didn't take good old Diddy. All right, it's what a
four to three, my fan. There's a lot to talk about. Obviously,
updated on the fires. That Kenneth fire is kind of
near us yesterday, so that was a whole big thing.
But hope you guys are doing okay right now. I

(04:19):
hope you're safe. That's the main thing. Who's doing okay?
Not many of us, but hopefully you're safe and we'll
be talking more right after this.

Speaker 8 (04:25):
Text Valentine in the morning at three one oh four
to three.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
All right, I blew my nose and I pounded some
dake will so we should be good to go and
this voice will warm up. If it doesn't, I'll just
leave Jonagill in charge and duck down or something like that.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
You have a little little something in your stomach. Umm, no,
still so gross. After I take day cool on an
empty stomach.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Oh well I don't so, okay, thanks for that heads
up prior to me taking the day call.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
I got a brito volder fridge.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
I don't want a burrito bowl. Okay, it's just a
breed of vulder fridge.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Second.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
No, I'm fine. I'm fine. Don't worry about me. I'm fine.
Rock Legend is one of four to three mile feminist
Valentine in the morning Brian Burton, your family's doing okay today? Yeah,
we're doing okay. How are the kids dealing with all this?

Speaker 6 (05:11):
I'm going to a little stir crazy just being inside
for so long.

Speaker 9 (05:15):
Most of the people around us have all left because
it's just so smoky there, and the.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Power has been for so long and the power still out.
It's came back on and then it went back out.
I'm so sorry.

Speaker 6 (05:26):
So we'll probably try to just get out of the
area this weekend.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Yeah, if we kill your dad's maybe or something to plan.

Speaker 6 (05:32):
Lost power as well. So when his power goes back on.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Then oh try to God.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
But look, we're the lucky ones. Put no smoke in
your dad's area. No, he's not by that would be
the thing. At least get some clean air right, exactly,
that's the goal. God, the poor kids. Kids don't get in.
And Colin was at a soccer practice yesterdayre like, why
are they holding soccer practice? They're watching the AQI and
just where I lived that Westlake thousand No, so the
Kenneth fire hadn't started yet, so it's kind of okay.
And they're watching that. They're about an hour in the practice,

(05:59):
and and when his phone's going off, he calls home
freaking out. I was taking a nap. My wife's like,
we gotta go. We gotta go get the bags, we
gotta go conso soccer. We gotta get him. Do you
want him to come homes and stay there? And we
have just have him stay there. We'll meet him there.
I don't want him driving on the roads, you know,
he's a sixteen year old driver. So we got all
the bags backed. Then the dogs happened to be at
the groomers. I'm like, oh Jesus, this is just a mess.

(06:21):
It's a real poop show. She's a she's a bit
of a panicker. I'm not gonna lie to you.

Speaker 6 (06:27):
You're the opposite of that. So yeah, that's good.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Yeah, bounces out.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
I was like, take a breath, We've got our bags,
the cars are facing the right direction. We're gonna be okay.
I can see this well, it's coming this way. I'm like,
I know, we're gonna be okay, We're gonna do what's right.
We're gonna go. But you know, she's in a bit
of a panic. So we got that settled. We're all
ready to go. We did not evacuate. It was just
one zone over from us with the ken of fire.

(06:51):
But then this morning helicopters are raging over our house
because there's a flare up on the can of fire.
It was just a thing. They called in an extra
to choppers, called in another strike team, I think. So
hopefully they got that taken care of it, and check
Watch Duty yet tire out the people be you haven't
Watched Duty studs? Amen? Oh yeah, right, where'd that app
come from? It's been there for a minute.

Speaker 10 (07:12):
I know that well.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
John Peak told me about it months ago, I guess,
and then we all started telling everybody else about it.
And Watch Duty downloads probably get at number one in
the iTunes store or someone who knows you know, But
it works if.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
You guys need to.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
Anybody's welcome over at our house in Riverside. If you
guys want to get out of that smoky area, you
guys are welcome to come this weekend, all of you guys.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Didn't you just him with as a fire by your
Riverside house yesterday out?

Speaker 5 (07:38):
Now, oh that was scary, but that it's out now.
But we'll see what happens this morning. But you guys
are welcome to come.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
It's clean air out there, yeah as far as I know. Yeah,
it's a bit of a drive.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
How fun would that be a weekend with all of us?

Speaker 6 (07:54):
We could just do the show again.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Yeah, I sound great. Let's have a weekend sleepover with me. Yeah,
that's a great idea. It's a great idea. We'll do
a Saturday morning show from Jill's house. Right. Well, then
our neighbors called us and go, hey, we're headed out.
We're going to the Santa Barbara. Where are you guys
evacuating too? And my wife's like, oh so to marbor,
Like no, no, this is this is not like let's

(08:16):
go on a vacation. Is that that? But one thing
to be aware of, because not to be concerned about,
but to be aware is the right word. And understanding
a lot of people who have evacuated these areas need
a place to go, right, and so a lot of
people in the Palasads kN Westlake Village. So yesterday we're
at a grocery store before Kenneth fire starts, and it's

(08:39):
packed in the Starbucks Cross Street. It's packed these four
corners of this town that I live, and I've never
seen them so packed. So a lot of people from
the Palisades probably came into the west Lake area looking
for residences, Airbnbs totally, so you know, looking for hotels
for long term states whatever. So where every town you're in,
you might have a lot of evacuees coming into your town,
So you got to be cognizant of that, and you know,

(09:01):
be aware, be polite, be welcoming, be whatever you can
because these people, a lot of them have lost their
homes and need some place to go. So we have
to open up our arms to that. But it will
be attacked on city services too, so they have to
make sure they're up to speed and they can be
ready for folks coming in and everything.

Speaker 5 (09:16):
I love seeing all the restaurants and different businesses offering
free meal.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
Yeah, spend a lot, Yeah, it's so great.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
So was Kenneth fire. Was that arson? They have a
guy of custody, but they're not saying it yet because
I guess some residents saw him attempting to light a
fire in the area of the Kenneth fire and then
the cops busted him. So we'll find out. I don't know.
Henry Winkler's like me, He's like, something's going on. Too
many fires? Yeah, what is he saying? Same thing? I

(09:47):
was a little suspicious on social media. Yeah, he's all
over like X saying that stuff. Oh the fawns. Fawns
and me are putting it out there, man. I mean
I will go hardcore vigilanti and help you round up
anybody that starts a fire is no problem with that,
all right. It is one O four to three MIFM.
This is Valence d in the Morning.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
Six eleven.

Speaker 5 (10:10):
It's Valentine in the Morning, one O four three MYFM.
Yesterday val was talking about trying to put something together
and maybe us as a company could do something to
help everybody that's been affected by these fires. And this
all came about yesterday. We're doing what we can. You
can go to one O four threemifm dot com slash donate.
We're teaming up with the Dream Center to help people

(10:33):
that have been affected by the fires, and we want
to provide help provide immediate support and resources to the
people that need it the most. So we're collecting canned goods,
ready to eat meals, bottled water of course, hygiene products,
baby supplies, clothing. You can get all the details at
one O four three MIFM dot com slash donate.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
Yeah, we had some people.

Speaker 11 (10:54):
Sorry did step on you right there, Joe, but we
were talking about donating closed yesterday. I was kind of
going through my closet a little bit and some people
who Orange County we're reaching out to me on Instagram
and they were trying to do a meet up. They're like, Hey,
if you can bring some clothes to some of the
people affected, we would love that. I love that we
finally have a place where we can kind of all
consolidate a lot of these things that we want to donate.
So I know there are some people in Orange County
that still don't want to drive all the way up.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
I'm down to meet you.

Speaker 11 (11:16):
So maybe we'll set something like that up this weekend
just to grab a big bunch of stuff that we
can bring to this center to donate. But I'm excited
there's a place to.

Speaker 5 (11:22):
Do that now and the Dream Center. They're also offering
its facilities twenty four to seven as.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
A shelter for people that have been displaced.

Speaker 5 (11:30):
So you can get all the details one of four
to threemifm dot com slash donate.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
I gotta get through my closet try and find some
stuff too, because I have so many clothes in there
just don't fit.

Speaker 10 (11:40):
You know.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
It's a good opportunity to do something good and also
make more room of my closet for my wife's clothes.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
Same for me.

Speaker 11 (11:47):
I've been trying to, like honestly get rid of a
bunch of Ruka shirts. Really, I'm trying to get rid
of like so much of my closet because I just
start a different style or something. Don't you want to
move out of your Ruka era a little bit?

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Man?

Speaker 11 (11:57):
I feel like I'm growing up a little bit, so
I just want to change the style a little bit.
I just have so many graphic teas, right, I don't
need all these graphic teas.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
You're mister Ruca though.

Speaker 11 (12:07):
Joe, I could get rid of eighty Rucas shirts and
I would still have like thirty left in my closets.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
So don't worry, I'm still gonna have them.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
You have that many Rucas shirt?

Speaker 3 (12:14):
Now I'm exaggerating, Okay, pretty close.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
He could wear like Ruka every day. He Ruka is like, uh,
his Ruca is my Viory?

Speaker 3 (12:20):
Yeah? Really though?

Speaker 2 (12:21):
Yeah? Can you believe I left Lululemon behind and moved
on to Viory? Amazing? Did I see this guy in
like Instagram? This bird Dogs? Dude? What are those all about?
Those are comfy too pants?

Speaker 4 (12:32):
Again?

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (12:32):
Bird Dogs?

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Yeah, he does funny commercials. I'm like, ah, maybe he's
got me.

Speaker 6 (12:36):
You are on the cutting edge of comfortable pants.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
Really, seriously, if you need a guy to go on
the air and speak about comfortable pants, I'm your guy.
Comfortable pants and comfortable underwear. Like those guys from was
it Threads or Para Thieves? Thieves, pir thieves? Those are
nice nd these guys they're local kids too, right.

Speaker 11 (12:54):
Yeah from around here. They were listening when they sent
us here. Thieves is nice man.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
You know, comfy stuf Because I was a Toma John
Gafford quite a long time and then I get the
pair of these. These are nice, So Undie's comfortable pants.
I'm your guy. You know. There you go.

Speaker 5 (13:11):
So you're done with Lulu Lemon kind of am completely
Yeah that one pair of pants that was a little thinner. Yeah,
are those out of rotation?

Speaker 2 (13:22):
No, if you want me to wear them, I'll wear them.
You know. Well, here's the thing though, the virys can
have the same problem because we've taken videos here in
the studio where Laura, our social media director, goes, just like,
if you maybe just turn a little bit this sway,
it that way because I'm seeing a little bit too much, right,
And I was wearing those and I went through TSA
and that guy goes, We're gonna have to do a
secondary sarcher. So but you know what it is, it's

(13:45):
not that the pants. It's if I gain weight, then
obviously certain things will just show more or something like that.
I don't know because the pants don't fit as much.
It does it does it happen to you too?

Speaker 5 (13:53):
Not your problem, but mine is in my chest. It's
the first thing to go. If I lose your gain,
it goes right to my chest.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
God, that's not a bad problem to have. Though if
your girl is it like for guys, it's mainly our belly. Yes,
you know that's where we gain or lose weight first.
But if a girl gains weight, it's in her breasts
or lose weight, it's in her breast against me.

Speaker 5 (14:14):
Personally, right, I mean it's still stomach, yes, but I'll
notice the first thing that changes are my boobs.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Huh? Is that why Jeff is always taking you to
the buffet table in Vegas? Firing updated and all the
fires that averting, some in California coming up in just
a few minutes here. Obviously that Kenneth fire is right by,
not right by my house, but it's in the area
of my house, so we almost evacuated yesterday. We'll bring
up to speed on that. There was a little bit
of a flare up over there. Also, let me just

(14:43):
say this, if you fly drones over any fire area,
you're an idiot. They had the ground of super tanker
because it crashed or impact rather with a drone, but
it got damaged, so they had to ground that thing.
And that's the thing that drops all the water. So
don't do that. Do not fly your own trying to
get some cool footage or something in a fire zone area.

Speaker 12 (15:04):
From sedan's and SUV's to full sized trucks. Experience the
incredible power and fuel efficiency.

Speaker 8 (15:10):
With Toyota Electrified.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Three things you need to know right now, six twenty one.
It is Valentine in the morning. This is one of
four three MIFM, so the pal says fire, which is
already the most destructive wildfire in the history of LA
is continuing to grow. It's burned about twenty thousand acres.
At least five thousand structures have been destroyed, five thousand
just a day or two. Go with two, now that's five.
The Eton fire dear Pasadena has grown the fourteen thousand

(15:33):
acres to story at least four thousand structures, so we're
close to ten thousand structures. Obviously, yesterday afternoon, firefighters rush
to contain new wildfires that erupted your homes in Calabasas
and West Hills. That's being called the Kenne fire and
fires being investigated as a possible arson. We're hearing totally
different things on that back and forth, so as the
morning goes on, hopefully LAPD will let us know more

(15:55):
about that. Yesterday's emergency alert about an evacuate warning was
sent to cell phones across La County, but the alert
was sent out by mistake. The emergency alert was only
meant for people living near the Cane fire rout West Hills,
so not too far from where I am, but apparently
everybody in La County got an alert to go. How
did that happen? Scared me, right, I'm sure because you're

(16:16):
looking out you don't see anything, and all of a
sudden it's like, Hey, I'm in Huntington Beach. Now I
have an alert to go to what's happening? The correction
alert was issued a few minutes later as well. I'm
not sure who the person was that press that button,
but uh, we got to do better than that. Obviously
a lot of people on high alert and panicking out there.
John what's trending?

Speaker 11 (16:33):
So a number of concerts and events have been put
on pause this weekend or even canceled all together so
the city can put its effort toward the fires. Last
night's Laker home game was postponed by the NBA. The
season premiere in Red Carpet for seven Season two on
Apple TV has been canceled, and Apple's donating their reliefs
and the nomination announcements for the twenty twenty five Oscars
is even being pushed a few days. So if you
have any events going on this weekend, could be a

(16:54):
good idea to double check it before heading out there.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
I'm John Comuchi. That's what's trending on socials.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
Yeah, that's a great idea. We we sat at home
last night, all packed, all ready to go. All the
bags are loaded into the car, had the dogs had
the medication of the food. It's amazing when you do
these go bags, you're like, what do I need? What
do I not need? Of course did this too, and
many of you should do it if you haven't, walk
around your house with the video camera and do a
video acount of the interior of your house because the

(17:19):
insurance companies aren't going to believe you when you tell
them what you have and who has receipts for everything
you've ever purchased, right, so it also gives you an
idea of what your house looked like. God forbad, it
does burn down. You've got that video account. But we
took a second when things kind of started the calm
down with the Kenneth fire, we took a second just
to be a family. Just eat some food and I

(17:41):
ate at one into the table because I'm fighting a
cold now, which is lousy timing. And we turned down
that Notre Dame game, and I thought, I thought about
your wife, Kylo, she's a Notre Dame grad. Notre Dame
won that game last night.

Speaker 6 (17:51):
Well, it was a great game.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
It wasn't nice distraction. It was just for a few minutes,
just a little distraction, right.

Speaker 6 (17:56):
And got lost in that for a little bit. Nice
but back and forth, and then they ultimately won.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
The guy kicks the field goal for the ultimate win,
and it looked like it wasn't going in for a
split second. Like being a field goal kicker in those
moments gotta be the loneliest job on the planet. Good morning,
It is one of four to three, my famous Valentine
in the morning. How are you guys doing today, How
are you feeling? How's your family? Are you safe? What

(18:24):
can we do to help you this morning? What information
do you need? Three one oh four to three is
a our text line. We can find it out for you.
Three one oh four to three, one of four to three.
My famine is Valentine in the morning, six twenty seven.
Good morning. Thank you, yes for turning the show on today.
There is a moratorium for two fire areas I believe

(18:45):
on the cancelation of fire insurance until twenty twenty six.
Say put that out yesterday. I don't fully understand it.
I get what a moratory may is. At fire insurance
companies like Farmers et cetera, et cetera. Can't cancel your
policy at least for another year or something. What's the
point of a policy if you don't have a home.
So I might be missing something of that. Maybe it's

(19:06):
for people in that burn area that their home hasn't burned.
That could be it as well, and that's important. But
a moratorium for La County, in Ventura County and all
these counties affected by fires might be a good idea.
But these insurance companies just gonna leave California totally. I
got dropped by Farmers. I had to go to the
cal Fair Plan. And of course I'm going over those
documents the past two days, seeing God forbid, if something happens,

(19:27):
what we get, and it's never everything. Somebody who loses
their home due to a fire, if they've checked at
insurance policy, it's about rebuilding the home, et cetera. But
it's not like it's not a windfall. No one's gonna
be like, Oh, I had some home in the Palisades,
and if I sold in Bzillo said it was worth this.
That's not what the insurance company gives you. They give

(19:48):
you what they've agreed to give you on that piece
of paper. They'll probably fight you for it too. You know,
it's crazy. We're gonna take a little break from all
that with a nice distraction. John's gonna do new music
Friday coming up next. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
I think there's some good music that came out today.

Speaker 11 (20:04):
And I think sometimes sports can be a good distraction,
something to rally behind, and I think music can do
that too sometimes.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
All right, So a little distraction from John his new
music Friday. Jilly puts on his little rolling stone hat
and he sounds like a musicologist.

Speaker 5 (20:16):
You know, yeah, and always brings us some songs that
I might not have even known right out, or some
new artists to check out, right So it's always so good.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
It's interesting to hear music that maybe you were unaware
of because he dives deep, but he always pulls out
some some E D M thing from some place where
you go with a glow stick and you dance at iaway.
I can't you know.

Speaker 11 (20:37):
It's like the first one of the year right now too,
the first real really of the year. So there's some
good stuff out.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
I want to hear that. That's coming up next in
the morning.

Speaker 8 (20:46):
Nineties to now.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
All right, six thirty five. It is one of four
to three ma FM weather today tempts sixties low seventies.
The National Weather Service extended a red flag morning until
six tonight this weekend, windy, cooler in the sixties fifty
seven Pomona fifty three in Culver City. What is the
next major wind event? Is that Monday? Tuesday? I think
it is, Brian and I didn't know that. Oh, this

(21:08):
is another one coming. Yeah, not as bad, right, Jill,
not as bad.

Speaker 4 (21:13):
But I saw Tuesday would be the day that they're.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
They're concerned about. Okay, gotcha, Jill will have some entertainment
headlines coming up.

Speaker 4 (21:21):
This is very sweet.

Speaker 5 (21:22):
Sesame Street is kicking off their fifty fifth season next week,
and I'll tell you about all the guest stars they've
got coming on coming up at six fifty.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
Let's take a turn for a second. A pause from
all the fire coverage and everything we're talking about, which
is obviously affecting every single one of us here in
southern California. Jean would always do so on a Friday.
It's called music Friday. Is this the first new music
Friday of the year.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
This is the first edition of twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (21:45):
All right, so let's let John chake us down a
road of music that maybe songs that we don't know
about are brand new. Take it away, all right.

Speaker 11 (21:53):
A couple songs I picked out for you today. This
first one. So it's a new song from Julia Michaels.
It's a duet with Maren Morris, and it's got this
weird tie into this hard week we've been having.

Speaker 3 (22:03):
It's about cutting ties. It's called scissors. Take a listen, I.

Speaker 13 (22:06):
Say goodbye, no Cary rivers a felt ties.

Speaker 14 (22:11):
I'll get the scissors day.

Speaker 15 (22:14):
Don't mind.

Speaker 14 (22:17):
Funic con tie, Oh, get the sissors.

Speaker 15 (22:21):
You should know about me when it comes to love.
I'm pretty cautionary. Put your feelings involuntary, and I say
I'll see you. I mean a nephewhary.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
So you say so.

Speaker 11 (22:32):
She's kind of saying, if you want to cut ties, cool,
go ahead. I'll take the scissors, I'll get the scissors.
But the reason this this song is kind of a
wild story is Julian and Maren Morris have been pushing
this song for a while along with this music video
that's like a big highlight of the song. They put
a lot into it, and the music video debut this morning,
and it's all shot at this house, and it just
so happens that that house is now completely burned down
from one of the fires this week, and they're posting

(22:53):
about it on their socials, like the family that let
them use the house have now lost everything, and like
they just filmed this music video a couple of weeks ago,
like a month ago, and now it's so weird that
that music video comes out today and as of this week,
that house is no longer standing. So it's it's this weird,
surreal moment. They put the song out anyway, and the
family is still recovering obviously, and there's just so much
more to go though, but just kind of a weird

(23:15):
release that kind of puts things into perspective of how
much this thing can affect. But anyway, this is Scissors
from Julian, Michaels and Maren Morris. So next up is
from our Australian friend here, Dean Lewis.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
Now this, Oh God, I gonna be He sings the sappiest,
saddest song. No, it's gonna be something very sad, Lewis.
I love the guy, but it's always like and everything's
over now.

Speaker 11 (23:44):
But what I want you to listen for and this
one is this one was almost supposed to be put
out by a different artist, an artist you'll definitely know,
So keep that in mind as you listen to it,
because I doubt you'll guess who was supposed to take
this song. This is Dean Lewis's new one called with You.

Speaker 16 (23:57):
I was.

Speaker 17 (24:00):
With somebody who love somebody like you. I was holding
for far too long because nothing's al I ever knew.

Speaker 15 (24:12):
I'm stilling love you.

Speaker 3 (24:18):
Without you, and you told me to be paid.

Speaker 15 (24:24):
And that was patient for you, patient for you, and.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
You told me to keep way, and I waited for you,
holy for you.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
I was ready. It's a cheery song, yet you know
body like you? So I hear a little shared that.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
Okay, I see that.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
I could also know I was wrong with that, but
I also when's the fani that's a better that's a better.

Speaker 11 (24:57):
Guess it's because it would be a completely different I
was gonna say post below, Oh, you're more along the lines,
You're closer the uh like the goat sounds.

Speaker 6 (25:06):
They both make the gun sure.

Speaker 2 (25:08):
Basically the I don't know does a goat sound of there?

Speaker 6 (25:11):
Say about post Malone two, he doesn't he loose.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
So Jan Lewis is a goat sound.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
This song was actually supposed to go to Rihanna.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
Oh I never would have got that.

Speaker 3 (25:22):
No one would have got that. Dean Lewis wrote it.
Apparently Randa heard it.

Speaker 11 (25:25):
She loved the song, so put it on hold because
she wanted to use it as a single herself, which
is kind of crazy because we keep hearing about this
potential music, this potential comeback from Rihanna.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
This could have been one of those songs. It wasn't though.

Speaker 11 (25:37):
For whatever reason, it didn't work out, So he got
to take the song back, which is really great because
he loved it and now here we are this is
one of the big tracks.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
Of his next album, Condition for You, Well you tell
Me to keep kind of waited for You, Holy for You, I.

Speaker 17 (25:55):
Was ready falling love songbody Songbody Like You.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
It didn't work out.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
It never does unfortunately too.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Yeah, this guy's love life sucks. Okay, that's good though.

Speaker 11 (26:14):
Is Rina really is working on new music right? Like
that day might come? Like she might really come.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
That's what you're taking. That's what I'm taking from this,
Like Dean was hoping you were taking more than that
is just.

Speaker 6 (26:24):
Breaking over here.

Speaker 5 (26:26):
We're gonna be excited because Rihanna just keeps teasing new
music and fans are asking when's it coming when?

Speaker 2 (26:32):
But when Dean Lewis releases a new song, he's not
hoping the headline is Rihanna's got new music.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
No, that's like all he's posting. He's like, this was
a Rihanna song, but I took it back. It's mine now.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
Really that's kind of a cool story.

Speaker 11 (26:42):
But with you from Dean Lewis, all right, And finally
here this is when I was super into it is
my favorite Sonically this week, Teddy Swims has got a
new one out today, so get your R and B
robes on.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
This one's called are You Even Real?

Speaker 1 (27:04):
Something from a tram is something that had a maze.
That's just that every time awake.

Speaker 5 (27:14):
Too much?

Speaker 2 (27:16):
You stealing not from me? I'm welcome to the velvet Lounge,
your most vivacious vixen, Valentine. Let the smooth mellow sound
show Teddy Swims rub you up and down like audio motion.

Speaker 11 (27:37):
So this one's a collab with the R and B
artist Give You On. They're both known for having these
like soulful, smooth R and B.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
Voices, just asking are you even real?

Speaker 2 (27:46):
Right?

Speaker 11 (27:46):
Just just an emotional R and B song, And I
feel like this has like that early two thousands R
and B feel to it, Like I'm getting a little
bit of like Usher confessions, like back when I really
started listening to that when I was growing up, Like
this kind of gives me that throwback feel.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
And I was just loving this one.

Speaker 11 (28:00):
And it was also announced this week that Teddy Swims
and his partner are expecting their first child together. So
it's just a huge week for Teddy Swims as he's
gear enough for his next album as well.

Speaker 3 (28:09):
This is Are You Even Real? From Teddy Swims and
give You.

Speaker 16 (28:15):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (28:15):
Is that Nate Jill in the background? It give them the headphones,
Give the headphones. Oh wait, yeah you're on the here,
How are you babe?

Speaker 3 (28:26):
I'm fantastic.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
I got chilli bean right here. Oh my god, he
still has that goofy voice. Yeah, I do. Yeah, Look,
you look great, though, you look fantastic. No, I'm under
the weather. I'm sick and everything. It's a mess out here, dude.

Speaker 18 (28:38):
Well, I mean, you do look increasingly more like Santa
Claus every time you're God, it's my.

Speaker 6 (28:44):
Friend, Nate, look fantastic to immediately.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
You look like Santa Claus every time I see you,
right right, So this is the Yeah. Natea used to
be our producer years and years and years ago, and
then he went to uh New York and he produces
for Elvis Dran on Z one hundred, which is iHeart
radio station. Jill's in New York right now. So Nate
just walked past to say hello, looks fantastic. Love the glasses,
love the off on you man, appreciate it.

Speaker 10 (29:07):
You do.

Speaker 5 (29:08):
Well.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
I'm doing okay.

Speaker 18 (29:10):
You know, I think I've been obviously talking. We've been
talking about you guys and thinking about yeahs out there
right now, and it's some very scary stuff going on
out there, and I know that's probably what the majority
of the show is today.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
Well, No, we were doing some stuff that wasn't what
you're doing other stuff.

Speaker 18 (29:27):
But no, that's that's a great point though. Yeah, people
need to know there's more to life than what is currently.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Well, let me just tell you, like, because I know
you're seeing seeing any stuff and you're probably go back
and tell Elvis' this afterwards. It's horrible out here. It's
absolutely horrible. These fires are We've never seen anything like
this when you lived out here, there's nothing like this.
It's devastating the loss of homes and livelihoods and everything.
So it'll be a very, very long recovery period. But
we're in that moment now where I think for all
of us, we're like the mental stress of those alerts

(29:56):
going off. Nate and Nate's in New York. We're talking
over this little connection, the mental stress of these alerts
they go and the evacuations and the go bags, and
it's a lot, and everyone's on their toes. And there
was an alert that went out yesterday accidentally for all
of La County, so everyone freaked out with that. So
and the firefighters going into these fires and doing these long,

(30:19):
long shifts, their families are desperately worried about them. It's
a lot it's a toll.

Speaker 18 (30:25):
You guys are living this day in day out, and
for sure how much everybody you talk to kind of
knows what you're going through. Being in New York City
and being on the East Coast, people have really no
idea what it's like to go through something like this.
And I lived out there for eleven years, and I
can say, looking at the footage and hearing stories from
you and from Jill and from everybody, I've never heard

(30:47):
or seen anything like that in my time there. And
you really can't even describe it because it's never happened before.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
No, one hundred percent. And I was talking earlier in
the show today that how all of us here in
southern California are living through a moment. Get through this
the best we can, but you're living through a moment
that will be part of your DNA for the rest
of your life. We'll always talk about this because we
lived here during it, much like people talked about nine
to eleven. If you lived in New York, you lived
through something so absolutely horrific. And the loss of life

(31:14):
is obviously not there out here, but there has been
loss of life, and there's just a loss of so
many homes, un houses, not structures, but homes and memories
of gathering around a kitchen table, you know, or Christmas memories,
or your kid gets their letter from college or their
first a or whatever it is. You know, all these
moments that we've all shared around the kitchen tables are
gone for so many people.

Speaker 18 (31:37):
This is where you are so important. What you guys
are doing right now is so important because thanks to
people don't have TVs. They don't have the level of communication.
They have the radio, and that's what they are focusing
on right now, is what you're saying. Yeah, the information
you're giving out, the way you're trying to help distract people.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
At the same time, well, people do have TVs. Still
a lot of us are glued to the TVs. But
I will say that, like TV has done a great job,
a lot of our local KTLA's and ABC and Fox
they've all done great jobs too. But yeah, the radio
is an important part of that. You know. I think
the the power of all of our mediums coming together
to be live and local in these moments is an

(32:16):
incredible important part. But yeah, pass it on the elvis
that it's it's it's tough out here. Let him, know, yeh,
maybe he can donate some money. He's very rich here,
he is. Yeah, I mean, can you ask for me? Nice?
Try nice, try and try. Can you ask him sometime?
Just go? Just go, like Elvis Valentine wants to ask,
because you know, we're all gossips here in the radio, right,

(32:39):
and so we all know that Ryan Seacrest makes like
a billion dollars and I'm not joking. The man's good
for him. He's earned it, right, Yeah. And then you
know you can go up and down the hall here
and the Woodies show. I mean they're great, they're doing
big stuff. And you know, Ellen and I are over
here on the other end of the seesaw not much
going on but that, and we make good livings. But
these arely really they're doing well. Right, So ask Elvis

(32:59):
likeferent levels, right, but go that mustn't know what he
did wrong because he does the same thing. We do
the same thing, Like where did I go wrong? What
left turn did I not make in my career? That's
interesting that these guys who are basically doing the same
thing we do. We talk as the radio.

Speaker 3 (33:13):
Show, right, I'd be curious to hear that answer.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
Yeah, I really I don't know what it is I
did wrong, but I mean, that is a great question.
But right, because we're doing the same thing. He's on
a station in New York. We're in a station in La.

Speaker 3 (33:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 18 (33:28):
Yeah, I mean you've kind of been in the game
as long as he has, maybe a little bit shorter.

Speaker 2 (33:33):
But you did the same thing, didn't make You're exactly right,
This one turn I didn't make to get to that
level of Seacrest or Elvis or something. You know. And Brian,
you should ask Nate, who's on right now? What turn
did you not make?

Speaker 6 (33:49):
We privately had those conversations.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
He's made a lot of money in New York City
as well. Chat, you're not a part of now, Nate,
take care. I'm sure some people remember your voice and
this is probably nice to hear your voice. All right,
love me too.

Speaker 18 (34:02):
I miss all of you, guys, And I'm gonna give
Jill another hug when you guys go to spot.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
All right, that's creepy. Thanks yea, And we're going to
a song, sad I tried, mister going the spots. It's
one of four to three my fam and it's Valentine
in the morning. This is at Sharon It shivers. It
is six forty eight, No to the hut one A
four to three. My fam, it is Valentine in the morning.
Just talk to our friend Nate because Jill is in

(34:26):
New York City for Netflix thing which got canceled by
the way right, the entire thing got canceled. Oh sorry,
you weren't.

Speaker 5 (34:32):
Turned on good Everything was canceled as of yesterday morning.
But then I got an email that afternoon saying, well,
something still might happen today. But then last night they
said the whole thing was canceled.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
So everything I canceled. So Jill's just been enjoying her
time away from the fires in New York City. You know,
went out to dinner last night. Where'd you go to
dinner last night?

Speaker 5 (34:53):
It was some little cafe by the hotel and go
with anybody or on your own, No, by myself. Then
I bought a ticket and went to see Hell's Kitchen
on Broadway, which is the Alicia Keys Broadway show.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
Oh so you went to a Broadway show. We joked
about it, but you went to a Broadway show last night?

Speaker 4 (35:08):
I did.

Speaker 5 (35:08):
I went they an hour before the show started. I
was like, let me just see let me see what
tickets are like. And I loved and they were so affordable,
and walked over to the theater. And there's nothing like sitting
in a Broadway theater by yourself, right with tears streaming
down your face and I'm all alone.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
Streaming down your face because of the play.

Speaker 4 (35:30):
Such a moving show, and the voices are incredible.

Speaker 5 (35:33):
And Jessica Voss, who is my favorite Broadway star, she
just joined this cast. So that's why I wanted to
really try and make it to see it. I've always
wanted to see Hell's Kitchen, so went and thought, it's
a beautiful show and a nice little distraction.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
Yes, it must be a nice little distraction. Hi, Susan,
good morning. How are you today?

Speaker 19 (35:52):
Oh? Very good?

Speaker 2 (35:53):
In you Dode Okay? While you and I and John
and everyone else here are fighting, what's going on in
southern California? And you went to a Broadway play last night?

Speaker 5 (36:01):
I know, I know, it sounds awful, it sounds it
sounds really bad. And when I got out of the show,
I had like two hundred something text messages from my
family and like everybody like keeping me updated and stuff.

Speaker 4 (36:12):
So it is very hard being away.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
No to be honest. We're very happy you've had a
little respite, you know, and you're away from this, because
anyone of us would rather be away from this as well,
coming home tonight you are, yeah, unless you get take
us to another play stakes, Susan, I don't know. So, Susan,
you work for the Girl Scouts.

Speaker 19 (36:32):
No, I do not work for them. I'm will volunteer
for Girl Scouts, Okay. But they sent out an email
to all of us late Wednesday night saying that they
would like to continue to help out the community. And
so they have properties available that people can use. Camp
Lakota and Fraser Park is one that has beds and showers.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
Wow.

Speaker 19 (36:55):
So if people can't find anywhere to go, that's an option.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
Okay.

Speaker 19 (36:58):
They also have like workspaces in San Gabriel, Canoga Park,
Long Beach, San demus Chino, and those are just places
that you know, they can offer Wi Fi and safe
space and power.

Speaker 10 (37:13):
To those who charge your phones laptop.

Speaker 19 (37:16):
Yeah okay. And so they have an email which would
be property info at Girl Scouts La dot org.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
Okay. So it's the Girl Scouts a Greater Los Angeles
offering up some of their properties for people that might
see some help. So okay, all right, one more time
of the Email'm sorry, go ahead.

Speaker 19 (37:34):
Property info at Girls Scouts La dot org. There's also
a phone number which would be two to one three
two one three zero one two three.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
How to get that?

Speaker 3 (37:49):
That's great number?

Speaker 2 (37:50):
Yeah number, Lets se if I got it right, two
one three two one three and it was x four.

Speaker 19 (38:00):
Zero one two three.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Oh my god.

Speaker 4 (38:03):
Oh that's so good.

Speaker 2 (38:04):
Two one three two and three zero one two three.

Speaker 3 (38:06):
What a number. I don't remember that of numbers, I'm
gonna remember that for every.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
Two one, three, two and three zero one two three.
Oh my god in the world. The Girl Scouts got it.
Good for them. Well, we'll put that up on Instagram
if that's okay, and uh, shore you that. Yeah. People
want to reach out to the Girl Scouts offering up
some of their properties for showers and beds and for
the ability to charge your phones and everything else and

(38:31):
have a workspace and working internet and stuff like that.
That might be very handy for some people because obviously,
if you have you know, a bit evacuated for your home,
you may not have that internet, or you know, maybe
the coffee shops too crowded. You go sit there and
you want a different type of like space to sit in,
you know, call them up two on three two on
three zero one two three yes.

Speaker 19 (38:50):
And camplic code might also have stalls for livestock if necessary.

Speaker 2 (38:54):
Oh really, okay, yeah, I know. The Pasadena Shelter was
taking in a lot of smaller animals stuf like that,
and they had cleared out all of their animals that
were there. They sent them some other great shelters from
North cal Different places came and took a lot of animals,
and some rescue places came and took the ones that
were just there prior. It opened up all that area

(39:15):
for people coming in with hurt, injured, or abandoned animals
from the fires. So they've taken in a lot of
fires at the Pasadena shelter as well. Well, thank you
very much. How's your family, Susan, You guys do okay?

Speaker 19 (39:28):
Oh we are good. Yes, we're out of the way
at the moment.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
So well, it seems like many of us have said
that Southern California and then you wait a few minutes
and then that bamp goes off. So just be safe
and you've got your go bag and stuff ready.

Speaker 19 (39:39):
Though, correct obviously, yes, thank you.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
Okay, we appreciate you, Susan, thanks for calling in.

Speaker 19 (39:45):

one two three. We all think that's the most fantastic
number ever in the history of phone umbers. Right. They're
providing some shelter space in places to take some showers
and stuff at one of their camps. Uh. They also
have workspaces across southern California. If you need to charge
or have access to the Internet or things like that,

(41:34):
call them up for information. They're number two one three
two one three zero one two three, and uh they
can help you out if that's something they need to
avail yourself up. Shannon, good morning, How are you.

Speaker 20 (41:47):
I'm doing amazing?

Speaker 2 (41:48):
All right? Well, is your family okay? Are you guys. Okay,
where you're at?

Speaker 20 (41:52):
Yeah, we're good. We're down in Mission, Va home. My
roommate works at LAUSD and he has been out for
this week because of the five. But other than that,
we are untouched.

Speaker 2 (42:02):
Oh thank god. Okay, yeah, so many kids out of
school lust out again today. My kids' school out in
the TI area is out today. And some of it's
for power outages, some is for fire, some is for
the smoke. It's just, you know, it's just too much
and the roads need to be clear for a lot
of the firefighter apparatus as well and stuff. So what's
going on with q dif youse, Shannon?

Speaker 20 (42:21):
I was actually calling to give you a compliment. You
wanted to know what you had done wrong. And I
am one of the few people that is happy that
you are where you are at.

Speaker 2 (42:34):
Okay, I now I are you talking about? We were
talking to our friend Nate. It's the long story short here.
Jill's working out of New York today. She had gone
for a Netfixed premiere that didn't happen. I got canceled
due to the fires. But she's still in New York
and she said, our iHeart studios in New York. And
one of our old co workers walked in behind her
and was talking to us on the air, Nate, And
I was asking Nate what I did wrong in my

(42:57):
career because he works with a guy that makes like,
you know, I don't know, millions of dollars a year
or something like that, you know, And I'm down like
you at Pavilions, putting in my phone number for my
discounts and checking the app to see how many points
it takes to get seven dollars off something in the
meat counter.

Speaker 20 (43:12):
I have been listening to you guys for nine a
little over nine years. Yeah, and thanks to you guys, you've,
like just your words of encouragement. I got a college
education that I didn't think I was going to be
able to get. I am three months into my field
of study, working in my field of study, and it's like,

(43:34):
you guys helped me keep my focus. And you may
feel like you haven't done enough. That's trust me.

Speaker 19 (43:42):
There are people out there like me who need your
words of encouragement.

Speaker 2 (43:46):
Oh you're very sweet to say that, but you did
it yourself too. If I'm any part of that, or
Jail or John or any of us are any little
part of that. That's fantastic, But you give yourself the
credit that's due for you.

Speaker 20 (43:55):
Well, it's thanks towards some encouragement from people like you.
You don't realize what you're working.

Speaker 2 (44:00):
Oh that's nice, but I want you up in that
podium like stoop dog. I want to thank me.

Speaker 5 (44:08):
We really appreciate you listening for so long. That's such
a big chunk of time.

Speaker 20 (44:12):
Halloween made nine years that I've been in California.

Speaker 2 (44:15):
I've been listening just for nine years. Wow, nine years.
But I think my point was to Nate when I said, personally,
where did I grow in my career? It was kind
of a curious point because I think I still could
be encouraging and rich.

Speaker 18 (44:30):
You.

Speaker 2 (44:32):
Know, like we always look like Ryan Seacrest does the
same job that we do. But the TV stuff comes
to play there too. But a lot of radio shows
do so well.

Speaker 5 (44:41):
I walked by Nate studio that he has for his
show here in New York, and my gosh, that's a
nice studio.

Speaker 2 (44:47):
Jill listen, jealous. Doesn't look good on your Christmas decorations?

Speaker 10 (44:50):
Up?

Speaker 2 (44:51):
What's that job?

Speaker 3 (44:52):
Did they still Christmas decorations up?

Speaker 4 (44:54):
No, there's no Christmas decorations.

Speaker 3 (44:56):
There no sounds lame to me.

Speaker 2 (44:57):
Guys lose this end, you know, being so green? What
are you the witch and wicked?

Speaker 20 (45:02):
No?

Speaker 4 (45:02):
I love ourf I love our studio.

Speaker 5 (45:04):
It's it's it's ours, you know, it's our little team,
and it's just I would prefer this life over the
other life.

Speaker 2 (45:10):
Well, I'm glad you've come around to my side because Shannon,
you're right. You know, we should be thankful for what
we have in life. Right.

Speaker 20 (45:17):
Honestly, it's like sitting every morning on my drive tourk
is like sitting with a cup of coffee with your
best girlfriends, dishing out the tea. That's what it's like
to me. It feels like home. It feels like you're
with your best friends. You're having a warm beer on
a Friday afternoon, just enjoying white. That's what your show

(45:39):
is for me.

Speaker 2 (45:40):
Girlfriend, Shan, thanks so much. You have a good day
and be safe. Okay you too, Thanks love by bye.

Speaker 8 (45:48):
From Sedan's and SUV's to full size trucks.

Speaker 12 (45:51):
Experience the incredible power and fuel efficiency with Toyota Electrified.

Speaker 8 (45:56):
Three things you need to know right now.

Speaker 2 (45:59):
Seven twenty one. It is Valentine in the morning. This
is one of four three MIFM thousands of firefighters battling
several major firefighters. Of course, across La County, the latest
of the Kenneth fire already grown to one thousand acres
near Calabasas. West Hills were near that evacuation order yesterday,
but I believe that one they've stopped ford progress, thank god,

(46:20):
and they're getting some containment. At least ten thousand structures
have been destroyed with the devastation from the eating fire
and the Palistates fire firefighters make it a break this afternoons.
Winds are expected to calm down, but in coming days
it could pick back up again, hopefully nothing like what
we had over the past few days. All LAUSD schools
are canceled again today, with unhealthy air impacting cities across La.

(46:41):
Some schools are open, Lilynnwood still in school, West Covina's
still in school, but many kids are seeing home, which
is good because the air quality is very very bad too.
Last set of water dropping aircraft was grounded after it
was hit and damaged by a civilian drone. The aircraft
was flying over the Palasta's fire and the drone that
hit it left a football's as hole in the wing
of the plane. Again, that is a federal offense to

(47:04):
fly a drone over a fire area like that. They're
trying to do their job. Do not get in the way.
Those Your shot that you want to post on Instagram
or whatever else is not needed at this point, John,
what's trending?

Speaker 11 (47:17):
So both the Rams and the Chargers are in the
playoffs this weekend. That Rams game versus the Vikings on Monday,
it was originally supposed to be at Sofi Stadium for
a slew of very obvious reasons.

Speaker 3 (47:25):
It's now been moved.

Speaker 11 (47:26):
That game is going to take place in Arizona, where
the Cardinals normally play, and things haven't changed for tomorrow's
Chargers game. They're taking on the Texans in Houston. That
kickoff is going to be at one twenty five. That
game's also streaming on two of our sister stations. It's
free on the iHeartRadio app AM five to seventy LA
Sports or KFIM six forty.

Speaker 3 (47:43):
I'm John KAMUCI. That's what's trending on socials.

Speaker 2 (47:45):
Jill's a side note from the Fires. You have many
fans of yours on the text line at three one
oh four to three. That want you to come back
to La Jills in New York. She was covering in
Netflix press junket for a movie that didn't get premiered
because of the fires. Is Cameron as Jamie Fox, and
he got canceled, so she ended up just staying in
New York for a couple of days. They want you

(48:05):
to come home because they're concerned about Baby Watch twenty
twenty five.

Speaker 4 (48:08):
Oh well that is the reason why I'm coming home tonight. Well,
no me.

Speaker 2 (48:17):
What time do you arrive tonight? What time do you
get in?

Speaker 4 (48:20):
I get into La Exit midnight tonight?

Speaker 2 (48:22):
Good god, I know, so midnight? Then your bags or
your bags by twelve thirty, twelve forty you leave in
the airport, are out twelve forty five? What time would
you get to the riverside if you left the airport?
About twelve forty.

Speaker 4 (48:34):
Five, probably like two two in the morning.

Speaker 2 (48:36):
Okay, So if.

Speaker 4 (48:37):
Nothing's happening tonight, he's got to work tomorrow.

Speaker 6 (48:42):
Are giving us a daily update?

Speaker 2 (48:45):
I don't want to know if you know what I
was about to say.

Speaker 4 (48:49):
Right there, I figured, no, this is my thing. I
take it there and I.

Speaker 2 (48:56):
Need learned all I said, does you know you leave
the airport twelve forty five, you get home at two o'clock.
And I was gonna say, make sure you get to
bed and get again that sleep. That's exactly what I
was going to say. So I'm not sure where you're.

Speaker 21 (49:07):
Going one A four to three.

Speaker 2 (49:17):
My famine is aboutlen ten in the morning. So a
lot of people thinking about air purifiers and stuff like
that for their homes right now. I do have a
certain brand at my house, but I wondered, in the
interest of checking in with you guys out there, if
you do have an air purifier at your house with
all this wildfire spokes and stuff like that, are you
happy with it? Is it a good brand? Does it

(49:37):
seem to work? Share that in the text signe so
I can pass it on to the people because a
lot of us the air quality is very, very poor
in our homes, and obviously you want to change those
filters you may have in your ceiling for your AC
or HVAC and stuff like that. But a lot of
people may have room air purifiers too. If you'd get
a brand that you would stand behind, do let us
know what that is. You can text in at three

(49:58):
one four three three one oh four three. Then I
gotta find out what's wrong with my AC. I turned
out my AC yesterday and there was like a a
cent coming out of it. And I just changed the
events in the ceiling before Christmas. So it's not that.
But I wonder if like an animal crawled in there
and croaked, or maybe like one of the vent things
fell off in the attic or something like that.

Speaker 3 (50:19):
That happened to me once in college.

Speaker 11 (50:21):
One of the apartments I was living in, we had
an awful smell for about a week right when in
the air duck and kind of.

Speaker 3 (50:25):
Looked at it, and there was a rat who had died, a.

Speaker 2 (50:27):
Rat who died in It's just it's not an awful smell.
It's not a good smell. So oh that's lovely, but
it's not, oh the dead, It's not that. So I
just wonder if like event came separated or said, I
get a fund to good HVAC company in thousand Oaks.
I don't know who to call. And you go out
next door and everybody goes, oh, these are great, these
are great. You don't trust them. Those people next door
are freaking out because somebody walked past the ring camera

(50:49):
having a heart attack on that thing. So maybe you're
in t O and you're good HVAC company. Let me
know who you are too. We're looking for a lot
of stuff today, right, Jill are, but we are.

Speaker 5 (50:58):
Doing some good as well. We were talking about this yesterday,
thinking what we could do as a company to help
everybody who's been affected by these fires. Well, iHeartMedia Los
Angeles is teaming up with the Dream Center in Downtown
LA to help the people affected buy these devastating fires.
So we're working to provide immediate support and resources to
the people that need it the most. So you can

(51:20):
donate right now at one four to THREEMIFM dot com
slash donate, and then you can also go to Dream
Center in downtown LA. We can personally drop off any
goods that you like to donate and John, you're going
there today.

Speaker 11 (51:33):
Right, Yeah, we're kicking things off already today, So that
address is going to be up on our Instagram if
you're curious about it. I'm gonna be there to kick
it off from like eleven to one this morning slash afternoon.
It's open like twenty four to seven all throughout the day,
so you can stop by it at any time, but yeah, I'll.

Speaker 3 (51:47):
Be there to kick it off. If you have anything
to donate.

Speaker 8 (51:49):
Text Valentine in the morning at three one four to three.

Speaker 2 (51:53):
Some texts coming in here. Good air Purifire brand, Conway Air, Megas,
got Hepa filters. I've got four running of my house
right since already have lung problems. We're telling people in
the text line. Blue Air air purifier getting some votes
rated very high and consumer reports can be purchased on Amazon.
People say, if two thousand no home shark, IQ three
and one, somebody mentioned Winnox is the air purifier. I use,

(52:16):
I love it. I think I got at Costco. Another
vote for Blue Air right there. Another vote for the
Winnis brand. So if you don't have an air purifier
and you can get one that may help you in
your home with all the smoke that is just so
absolutely oppressive right now, please keep an eye out for that.
Another one iq Air got a vote up there. Yeah,

(52:36):
if you guys want to share this information of anything
in your home that's helping out, you can text in
at three one oh four three three one oh four three.
Weather today, Temp sixties seventies. National Weather Service is sending
that red flag till six tonight for the weekend, winding
cool highs in the sixties. Fifty in Englewood, fifty six
in Anaheim. Jill has got the entertainment headlines on the way.

Speaker 5 (52:57):
This is us star my love Antimilia. He lost his
home in the fires and he's sharing his heartbreak. I'll
tell you what he said. Coming up at seven to fifty.

Speaker 2 (53:05):
We talked about what we're doing at the Iheartradios Theater
today and through next week as well at the Dream Center.
Also a lot of pop up donation centers for fire
victims going up around southern California. So wherever you are,
like maybe you can't get to us, or maybe you
can't donate funds, whatever, do your part in your community
to make the biggest difference that you can't. John was
talking about just in a very you know, normal, small

(53:27):
little thing that he's doing. He's going through his closet
taking out some of these Rukas shirts that he doesn't
need to wear anymore.

Speaker 11 (53:32):
I just have too many, Like, especially when something like
this happens, you realize you really don't need a lot
of the things that you do have and when when
your neighbors, when you're sure needs it right, anything you
have can help.

Speaker 2 (53:41):
And we talked about how clothes, underwear, socks some of
the first things you need after you've lost everything in
a fire. So I'm going through my closet too. I've
got a lot of clothes in there. Then honestly they
don't fit me. Unless I do we'll gov and does
empic combined? Can you do that? Can take both? No,
it's probably not it loud right, don't try. God he

(54:03):
wasted away so fast. But though honestly, I've got a
lot of clothes in my closet just don't fit me.
They're probably not gonna fit me for any period of time.
The style might not be what you want. But I'm
going together with my clothes too. What about you with
the kids? Any stuff from the kids you don't need? Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 6 (54:16):
Actually, so we're giving some to some friends of ours,
okay from Altadina.

Speaker 2 (54:20):
Did they lose their home? Lost everything?

Speaker 16 (54:22):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (54:22):
I'm sorry, Like.

Speaker 6 (54:23):
These are you know, close friends of ours?

Speaker 2 (54:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (54:27):
So anyway, did we immediately?

Speaker 2 (54:29):
I didn't think of that until you.

Speaker 9 (54:30):
Said it the other day of doing it in close.
So we have like bins and bins of kids. Right,
it's just gonna give to them. Every little bit's gonna
make a difference for that person, you know. Yeah, it's
seven thirty six. It is one of four to three
my family. It is Valentine in the morning, sad note.
And she's public with this, right, Lisa, Yes, yeah, Lisa Fox,
who does her mid day show, her uh, her dear

(54:52):
boyfriend Eric, who's been in her life now for what.

Speaker 2 (54:54):
Four years maybe I think, but four years. He lost
his home in the Palisades, and I guess they were
renovating it and that was gonna be their forever home.
They had some tenants in there, so the tenants lost
everything they had, but after the tenantcy was done, they
were trying to renovate I guess the downstairs and make
that there forever home. And that's gone off the flames.

(55:14):
And there's a really weird and I wouldn't know the
answer to this. Only somebody who's lost their home can
tell you the answer to this. There's a weird moment
when you look at the Palisades and you look at
these streets of just lost homes, and then you see
that one house standing, one house and everything else around
it's gone. I don't even know if I can say this,
but do you wish that maybe yours was gone too?

(55:35):
In that moment this party? You wish that because going
back to that home when they have to bulldoze and
clear and get rid of everything there and replace water
lines and gas lines and electrical lines and all that
stuff that's going to come into play, could you live
amongst that? I don't know, you know? And how long
will the recovery take? That'll be a tougher question to

(55:56):
answered by people much smarter than me as we go
down the road here. But in the meantime, the most
important thing is take care of people's immediate needs and
to get these fires out. And God lover firefighters. By
the way, the next time that EDNY firefighter like group association,
whatever city, county says here's what we need for our budget, Oh,

(56:16):
they're gonna get it. Whatever you guys want, you get it.
You're a firefighter and your group wants a UFO sure
firefighting UFOs whatever you want. And by the way, a
big thank you too to the families of the firefighters
that support them. I know it's very tough.

Speaker 17 (56:33):
On you come down yod So what.

Speaker 2 (56:38):
A four to three fam It is Valentine in the morning.
It is seven forty two. Good morning, guys. Hope you're
doing okay this morning as we get up and get
updates and the fires and stuff. If you haven't downloaded
that Watch Duty app. These folks it's a charity organization
Watch Duty. It's a five o' one see three whatever
something right, So what it is? And they do take
donations and I'm gonna donate now. I mean that thing's

(57:01):
been fantastic every time I look at it was like
updated three minutes ago.

Speaker 3 (57:05):
Yeah, on time.

Speaker 2 (57:06):
There's staff, reporters, like some of the guys actually don't
even live here. They're just they're fire people. They follow
fires stuff. I guess I don't know. One guy lives
like in New Zealand, but he listens to the scanners.
He's updating everything's hearing from the scanners and LAFD and
different organizations. But they do a great job. It's to
Watch Duty app. Download that it's free. You can upgrade

(57:29):
or make donations and help them fund their stuff. But
who these people are, I have no idea. I think
everybody just found out about it during these fires. Some
of you knew about it ahead of time, but my god,
it's been absolutely fantastic.

Speaker 5 (57:44):
You know, so fast, the information is there almost immediately.
Last night, my husband was at home in Riverside and
he was out for a walk with the dog and
he saw some fire truck zoom by on our street,
and so he kind of like went back to the house,
put the dog inside, and then he looked at the

(58:04):
app and it was already up and it was honestly
within thirty seconds of this fire, right and seeing the smoke,
and it was all the information.

Speaker 2 (58:12):
Was right there, Like I'm looking right now at the
Kenneth fire. They have that one updated on their thirty
five percent containment, one thousand acres. All evacuation orders have
been lifted in La County and warnings have been lifted
in La County. So that was the one that was
just like kind of right down the stroom for me
where they evacuation areas. So that's great, I mean, there's
on top of it.

Speaker 11 (58:31):
What's kind of nice too, is me being from Orange County.
I was talking to some friends, and some of my
Orange County friends, they don't really know La like I
do because I work here, so sometimes it's hard. You
hear these fires, you see the articles, but you don't
know where they are. You know, maybe you have friends
in LA, but you don't know exactly where they live.
This app like has a color coded map. It's so
easy to navigate. You can see what it's about. And
I think it's easier to get familiar with those cooking

(58:53):
is and who's affected and stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (58:54):
Yeah, I honestly have no idea who these people are,
why they started, who they are, but they did a
great job with it. They really really did. John down
in Orange County, what is the vibe? As I talked
to Carry steel Yestery two, who's over a coast, and
she's an Orange County girl. So Orange County not affected
by these fires? Are you guys getting any smoke down there?

Speaker 11 (59:10):
So the smoke comes and goes based on the wind, Okay,
Like at my apartment, sometimes I'll walk out and I'll
get it pretty heavy, and then when the winds die
down a little bit, you almost don't really know unless
you look up towards the sun or towards the west
where the beach is, and you can kind of see
some smoke there, Okay, but it's mostly just stories of
people that you know. And I'm talking to my friends
who work in Orange County and less of them are affected.

(59:31):
But everyone kind of knows somebody who lives in LA.
But it's hard to know exactly where they are because
I mean, it kind of is divided. You know, you
don't really spend a lot of time in the city
of La if you're far down there.

Speaker 2 (59:41):
If you're down there in Orange County, right, it's kind
of hard.

Speaker 3 (59:42):
To get very familiar with it.

Speaker 2 (59:44):
Seven forty five. It is one o four to three,
my fam. It's Valentine in the morning as you start
your day. If you guys want to reach out, anything
we can do to help you in your day, please
do three one oh four three one o four three MYFM.

Speaker 8 (59:54):
Here's what's coming.

Speaker 15 (59:55):
Up in entertainment's headlines.

Speaker 5 (01:00:00):
The show Love is Blind and You Love Coffee. There's
a new collaboration happening that you're gonna love. I'll tell
you all about it.

Speaker 4 (01:00:07):
Right after traffic one four.

Speaker 15 (01:00:08):
To three my SM Entertainment headlines.

Speaker 5 (01:00:12):
This is Us star myla Venimiglia is sharing his heartbreak
about losing his home that he shared with his pregnant
wife Jara. He was saying that they were actually watching
the security footage on their cameras, and he said, it's
some a point they're like, this is real, this is happening.

Speaker 4 (01:00:29):
We just had to turn it off.

Speaker 5 (01:00:31):
And he did this whole interview and they went back
to his house and where the destruction was, and then
it drew some comparisons because on This is Us a
lot of the storyline had to do with the fire,
and he said, it's just life imitating art and they
are completely devastated by this loss. And International Delight is

(01:00:52):
releasing two Love is Blind kramers ahead of season eight.

Speaker 4 (01:00:57):
So if you love the show, you love coffee, this
is for you.

Speaker 5 (01:00:59):
They are in speired by the hit reality show on Netflix.
It's gonna be a Valentine's Day release and the products
include two creamer flavors, wedding cake, and chocolate covered strawberry.

Speaker 4 (01:01:09):
So if you don't know what Love Is Blind is,
this is the show.

Speaker 5 (01:01:11):
Where they are all in different pods and they don't
see each other and they get to know each other
through that. They follow in love, some of them propose.
But you can now have some creamers inspired by the
show and they will be released on Valentine's Day.

Speaker 4 (01:01:25):
I'm Jill with Erring Timan Headlines.

Speaker 2 (01:01:27):
All right, thank you, Jill, appreciate that. John. We'll turn
you over at the theater today.

Speaker 11 (01:01:32):
I'll be there eleven to one. It's actually downtown, in
downtowntown La.

Speaker 2 (01:01:36):
Okay, why I think it was the theater. I think
there were some talkings. Is what you told me the
wrong You told me the wrong information? Yes, yes, right,
and that's downtown La.

Speaker 11 (01:01:44):
Yes, it's aid the Dream Center in downtown LA. And
we're accepting donations down there and stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:01:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (01:01:49):
Absolutely, they have a list of things that you can
donate too. Of course we've been talking about close. But
they're saying, of course, nonperishable food items are good, water bottles,
some hygiene products are always good. Flashlights, batteries, phone chargers
for st aid kits. Yeah, so pretty much anything you
think you might need to just kind of get through
the next couple of weeks, they'll take.

Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
Okay, what's the exact address again.

Speaker 3 (01:02:07):
Let me find it for you.

Speaker 11 (01:02:08):
It's on our instagram. We have a link to it
up there. There's a website to donate in an address
as well, so.

Speaker 2 (01:02:12):
The myfm instagram. Okay, at one of four to three
MYFM at one of four to three MYFM on Instagram
seven to fifty two. This is one of four three MYFM.
One of the great things, one of the blessings, is
that we see communities coming together throughout these fires and

(01:02:35):
people helping each other out. Prem your local schools, to
your ptas, to your fraternal organizations, et cetera, and your
churches and stuff. We all try and come together help
each other out. Girls Scouts a LA reached out to us.
They're doing their part, opening up some of their buildings
for people to use for you know, if you need
some internet or a place to charge or something like that.
And they do have some camps I guess too they'll

(01:02:55):
be opening them up for showers and places to rest.
And I'm not sure. I think they have a place
for some animals too. There's a number that they provided
us two on three two one three zero one two
three for one information. Two one three two one three
zero one two three. That's the Girl Scouts of LA.
It's eight o'clock. This is one of four to three
mi FM. It is Valentine in the Morning. Valentine in

(01:03:20):
the Morning. As we get more information that may help
you guys, anyone affected by these fires with the loss
of property, the loss of a home, we'll pass that
on to you. One of the things they did today
they put a moratorium and on insurance cancelations for people
affected by Palisades Fire and then one of the other fires.
I assume that'll extend to anybody affected by any of
these fires in southern California. But honestly, unless I'm missing

(01:03:42):
something here, and I could be, because everyone's always basically
a sleep deprive around SOCl right now, from getting these
alerts in the middle of the night to getting your
go bags ready and stuff like that. But if you
lost your house, why do you care if they end
up canceling your shirts down the road? You know, because
they put a moratorium on anybody in the policy it's
fire effected by this. If you had insurance, you had

(01:04:05):
insurance and hopefully that will come through, but keeping insurance
intact until twenty twenty six or something. Maybe I might
be missing something. I think they got to put a
moratorium on the cancelation of insurance for everybody in southern California.
I got canceled by Farmers last year and I had
to go to the Cal fair plan, which is I
don't think it's the best from what I've heard. It's
like your last ditch resort type thing. Then you have

(01:04:28):
to get a dick policy after that for all the
other stuff in your home. You know, if your water
heater breaks down or something else breaks down, it's a
difference in conditions policy. Oh what, Oh, you're back on
that again. So difference in conditions policy. So you have
to get that. Then your got out here. People think

(01:04:50):
to I have to get earthquake policies and stuff. You know,
there's a lot going on insurance in southern California that
we really have to work on because people just can't
afford it. You can afford that insurance in some of
these homes. Unfortunately, some people had been dropped in the
palistates and didn't have insurance.

Speaker 5 (01:05:03):
Yeah. I saw some person being an interview on the
news and he was just dropped two weeks ago.

Speaker 4 (01:05:09):
He and all of his neighbors in this So he
had no insurance.

Speaker 5 (01:05:13):
No, he had no insurance and it was demolished and
he just lost it two weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (01:05:18):
Oh my god, so sad. What are you doing in
a case like that. I know FEMA is going to
come in and help out with some stuff. But I mean,
what happens? I mean, do you just lose everything? Is there?
Is it just up to us as neighbors to start
go fund means for folks and trying to fill in
the blank there, so to speak. I don't know what
the answer is, quite honestly, but I do know that
these firefighters out there are doing God's work. Thank you

(01:05:39):
so much for that. And the law enforcement officers and
traffic control officers and people work in metro people, whatever
you're doing, you're probably doing something to help out, right,
even if you're a restaurant making food for just your neighbors,
your friends and your family and stuff, or if you're
helping out people who have evacuated. We all keep doing
what we're doing. We're doing something right, you know. We

(01:06:00):
keep coming to the radio giving you information. We're doing
something right, and we're supporting each other in our community
as we face these fires, because the first thing is
let's get the fires out, Let's get people to safety.
If they tell you to go, go, we've all heard that.
Have your cars parked in the direction that you want
to go, so you're not try to back out ramming
into some neighbor who's backing out of theirs. You know,
it's better to have your car facing the direction you

(01:06:21):
want to go and have it all packed and ready
to go, and you know, just do your very best
to stay off the streets. If there's fire rappers, try
to get through. And then don't be flying drones. We
heard that story today. Somebody's flying a drone of our
fire and it bumped into one of the super tankers.
I guess that drop all that water, so that think
was grounded. We can't have those things grounded. Those are

(01:06:42):
the ones that we rent from, like Canada or something.
Why do we buy a couple of those? I'll throw
in a cuple what are we renting them for. We're
gonna use them, We're gonna keep them. We want them,
We love them. All stuff above my pay grade. Yes,
eight thirteen, it's one of four to three, my fam
This is Valence out of the morning.

Speaker 8 (01:07:00):
From sedan's and SUV's to full sized trucks.

Speaker 12 (01:07:02):
Experience the incredible power and fuel efficiency with Toyota electrified racings.

Speaker 8 (01:07:08):
You need to know right now.

Speaker 2 (01:07:09):
For eight nineteen, it's Valentine in the morning. The Palisades fire,
which is already the most destructive wildfire in the history
of La is continuing to grow. It's learned about twenty
thousand acres at least five thousand structures have been destroyed.
The Eaton Fire near Pasady in a fourteen thousand acres,
destroying at least four thousand structures. Yesterday afternoon, firefighters rushed
to contain a new wildfire that erupted your homes in
Calabasas and West Hills or out towards me. My poor

(01:07:33):
wife woke me up. I was taking a nap. I
got a bit of a cold and trying to get
rid of it. It's like, we gotta go, we gotta go.
And then Colin was at school, had a soccer practice,
and I was worried about the air quality there, but
everything turned out fine with that. I'm sorry it's get
a call, but anyway, luckily that fire seems to be
kind of handled. It's being called the can of Fire
and it's being investigated THO as possible arson. Yesterday, an

(01:07:55):
emergency A learned about an evacuation warning was sent to
cell phones across La County. The alert was sent up mistake.
The emergency alert was only meant for people living near
the ken of the fire around West Hills. A correction
alert was issued minutes later, but that give a panic
to most of La County. John, what's treading well.

Speaker 11 (01:08:10):
There are a significant number of animals displaced by these
fires as well, many of them pets.

Speaker 3 (01:08:13):
We were talking about this earlier.

Speaker 11 (01:08:14):
The Pasadena Animal Shelter is taken in over three hundred
and fifty animals just in the past few days alone
into their shelter. Some of them were on the run,
some of them people just fled, or some of them
just escaped at home somehow. So they're reminding people to
try and take your animals with you with this influx
of animals, though, they're looking for foster families for a
lot of these pets at least while they're going to
handle on things just for a couple of weeks. So
if you may have room for me a dog or

(01:08:36):
a cat in this time for the next few weeks.
Like I said, there's a form to fill out. We're
gonna link it up on our Instagram and the stories
at Valentine in the Morning, John Comuchi, that's what's trending
on socials.

Speaker 2 (01:08:45):
I don't know who helped out the Pasadena Humane Society,
but some other rescue groups from outside the area, I
guess came in and took all the dogs and cats
and stuff they had in house already to make room
for the new animals coming in. That's how I understand it.
That's great, so great work, great work with that. Eight
twenty one. It is one of four to three MYFMA

(01:09:09):
one fourth three my fam. It is Valentine in the morning.
It's eight to twenty four, eight six six five four
four my FM. Jill's in New York right now. She
was sent there to cover a Netflix premiere for iHeart
of a Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz movie. Correct.

Speaker 5 (01:09:26):
Yes, it's called Back in Action Glenn Close, isn't it too?
And we were going to have the premiere out here
and then do some interviews this morning, but everything was
was canceled due to the fars.

Speaker 2 (01:09:38):
Do does Cameron and Jamie do they live out here
in LA? They must write, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:09:43):
I think Cameron Diaz might, right, I don't know. I
suggested when you know everything was going down, and I said,
maybe if they want to come on the show later
to promote the film, come in.

Speaker 2 (01:09:54):
The studio or something. Right would they say to that?

Speaker 4 (01:09:57):
They said, they'll let us know.

Speaker 2 (01:09:58):
Okay, yeah, let's get the in the studio, and obviously
we can talk about how the fires affected them as well,
and then talk about the movie at the pro free
time or something.

Speaker 4 (01:10:06):
Yeah, that'd be good.

Speaker 2 (01:10:07):
So Jill decided to stay. So she went to a
Broadway play last night, and she's enjoying her best life
where the rest of us are out here. But there's
no guilt, no guilt, thank you.

Speaker 5 (01:10:16):
I would have loved to have come home, honestly, I was.
I was trying to get a flight tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (01:10:20):
But a flight.

Speaker 2 (01:10:21):
Tomorrow, I'm sorry.

Speaker 4 (01:10:23):
I was trying to get a flight yesterday. But they
came back yesterday afternoon and said that.

Speaker 5 (01:10:29):
There might still have some things happened today, and so
I stayed. And then I just kept my original flight,
which is tonight. But I've just you know, you feel
so helpless over here, and I see.

Speaker 4 (01:10:41):
Friends losing their homes.

Speaker 2 (01:10:42):
No I know, we're teasing contact.

Speaker 4 (01:10:44):
With my family, No, I know, but it is.

Speaker 5 (01:10:46):
It was unfortunate timing, right, and it's been hard being away,
But I'm glad to be coming home tonight.

Speaker 2 (01:10:51):
You that was a well rehearsed story in your part
that Jill's a sweetheart. She was checking in with all
of us, making sure okay, because she's just worried about
a family. Got her sisters out here, her nieces or nephews,
her husband out here, her mom and dad out here,
and stuff, and they're without power, a lot of them
still too.

Speaker 4 (01:11:09):
Right, My parents are still without power in Northridge.

Speaker 2 (01:11:12):
How long has it been out since Tuesday or Monday?

Speaker 4 (01:11:13):
Since tuesday?

Speaker 2 (01:11:14):
Yeah? Yeah, we have friends by us. I think they're
out in the More Park area. Their power has been
out since Tuesday too, and ours was supposed to go out.
I don't know how we beat it. I have no idea,
but our power hasn't gone out yet, and most of
the shutoffs I think should be ending hopefully, but you
just never know. So you have to be prepared for
that too. Gott if your go bag ready, cars in

(01:11:35):
the right direction, be prepared to be without power as well.
It's a lot of stuff that we're facing and we're
all gonna need like, let me just do one thing.
Can I say this and then I'll move on Because
I know marks and hold and I don't mean this
in a bad way, in a good way, in any way.
These are just facts that I'm gonna speak right now,
and it's very quick. Okay. I'm not gonna go and

(01:11:57):
pontificate along with this, and you can do it this
way you want. I am canceling Dry January.

Speaker 6 (01:12:05):
It's canceled. It's done, that's right.

Speaker 2 (01:12:08):
Yeah, I'm gonna try to.

Speaker 3 (01:12:09):
Give the weather it needs to stop being too dry.

Speaker 2 (01:12:11):
Right, We're gonna try this in February, but Dry January
is officially canceled. That's all I'm saying. Mark, what's going on?

Speaker 16 (01:12:17):
Hi?

Speaker 2 (01:12:18):
Hi, hey buddy, what's going on? How are you good?

Speaker 10 (01:12:20):
How are you Valentine? Wow, I've been listen to you
for so long, even when you were on Kids.

Speaker 2 (01:12:25):
Oh my god, Martha goes way back, right.

Speaker 10 (01:12:27):
Way way back.

Speaker 16 (01:12:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (01:12:29):
No, And i'd bem meaning I don't know why. This
is the first time they're called. I wanted to call,
like during the Battle of Texas, because I normally I
win if I'm a guy. But no, guess right now,
when you mentioned brief about saying thanking the families, then
my late father was a fireman La City for thirty
three years.

Speaker 2 (01:12:48):
Oh wow.

Speaker 10 (01:12:48):
And as a kid, you don't realize what his job
was and how dangerous it was because he really didn't
talk about it. All of us, there were six of
us children, and we didn't realize how dangerous his job
was until.

Speaker 2 (01:12:57):
You get older.

Speaker 16 (01:12:58):
Yeah, but now when these fires are going so crazy, right,
I just think, Wow, he's an LA city And you're right, Valentine,
there's a huge between LAFD and NYFD, and I think
LAFD is better.

Speaker 2 (01:13:11):
Oh, I didn't say anything about that. Hold On might
dragged me to some huge between fire departments.

Speaker 8 (01:13:15):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:13:15):
I have said before that in the world of fighting
wildland fires and fighting fires in general, I will take
you know, Los Angeles, Southern California fire departments for the
OC Fire Authority, to Ventura to LA to all the
fire departments out here. We unfortunately have trained our firefighters
by putting them in the fires in the thick of it,
and they've come out the other side every single time.

(01:13:37):
They're amazing folks. But what I was I was trying
to point out, and I'm glad you brought it up again,
was that so many people that listen to our show
are family members of firefighters, from city to county to
various departments and stuff like that. And I imagine as
a child, if you're a fifteen year old boy or girler,
twelve year old boy girl right now and you're watching

(01:13:59):
the TV and you have access to their net every
single these fires and your mom or dad might be
off fighting these fires. That has to be an incredible
mental strain on you. So I wanted to at least,
in the very least for the family members of firefighters
know that we recognize that you are going under a
very you know, a large mental strain as well, and
sharing in difficulties that some of us may not share in,

(01:14:21):
you know. And then these firefighters go off fight the
fires and their family might be evacuating back at home,
you know.

Speaker 10 (01:14:27):
Well, And that's why I said, growing up, maybe from
a toddler up to Lenbeuten, I didn't realize that dangerous
of what his job was. Yeah, and until and he realized, wow,
you know, he put his life on the line, and
only like a few times of his faith did he
mention the horrific And he didn't, he didn't bring it
home and he was read. So were there many times
when he'd be away fighting those fires in the mountains

(01:14:49):
or downtown LA or something like I said, have been
meaning to call maybe since the fire started, but just
what you said right now about the family anyway. Yeah, yeah,
So he was thirty three years as a fireman and
love being a fireman. And he used to say that
they should have he should have paid them. It's that's
how much he loved his job.

Speaker 2 (01:15:05):
Oh wow, what was your dad's name?

Speaker 10 (01:15:08):
Oscar? Oscar Garcia and Oscar.

Speaker 2 (01:15:10):
He was attached to the La City Fire.

Speaker 10 (01:15:12):
Department was it l a city? And his last station
was sixteen I remember that.

Speaker 2 (01:15:17):
Oh that's awesome.

Speaker 10 (01:15:18):
I think that's I think the East LA and your well.

Speaker 2 (01:15:21):
Credit to all of our first responders because you know,
the police department, see e MTS Ambulance, everybody involved as
a first responder. It's a lot, it really is. Well, Mark,
we'll let you go, but thank you so much for
calling in. We really do appreciate that.

Speaker 10 (01:15:34):
You're welcome, and like you know, called it and said,
I laugh at you, guys, and I cry with you guys,
and you're just great. You're you're great, and you should be.
You should be higher than that's Seecrest, guys, you should be.

Speaker 3 (01:15:49):
He's too much.

Speaker 10 (01:15:49):
That guy's too much. He's all over the place. I'm sorry,
I'm sick of his face.

Speaker 2 (01:15:53):
Okay, all right, well that's that's not gonna help us.

Speaker 4 (01:15:57):
But we didn't say it.

Speaker 2 (01:15:59):
Thanks for calling on him, buddy, Okay, bye, thanks guying here. Yeah,
John Peakle says something like this. He goes, yeah, you
didn't say it, but you also didn't cut him off.
Text to Valentine in the morning at three one oh
four to three, My fam, it is valid. My voice cracked,
my fam. It's Valentine in the morning. Good morning, some

(01:16:22):
text coming in three one oh four to three. I
agree with the guy. You guys just talked to you
a few minutes ago. We're all thinking that. Shout out
to La County FT. They're number one value.

Speaker 16 (01:16:31):
Know it?

Speaker 2 (01:16:34):
Are you gonna put on Instagram the air purifire recommendations, Yeah,
we'll do that. California insurance plans very limited and expensive.
You plan everybuilding. It's better to keep your regular insurance company.
I speak from experience. Live in a high fire area
and lost the house to wildfires. Well, I mean I
would have kept my regular insurance Farmers, but they dropped me,
you know, and so I had to go to cal
fair because nobody else was available ever. So many people.

(01:16:56):
You're just like me. You were dropped by your insurance companies,
and you had to do that the other way, Brian,
the other way. There you go.

Speaker 10 (01:17:04):
Hi.

Speaker 2 (01:17:04):
My husband's brother in law works for Las City Fire Department.
He's in the grunt of the fires right now. He
has little to no communication with his wife and kids.
The wife is limiting TV and social media to spare
the kids from panicking. It's tough on the family. That
is a great point too. If you are a family
member of a firefighter, I hope you're limiting you're sitting

(01:17:25):
down just watching the news channels, because most of us
have these things on NonStop, right and we've got that
watch Duty app. We're all over this. I hope you're
finding a way to limit the amount of exposure you get.
But at the same time, stay up to date with
your loved one. But if they're in there fighting the fire,
they can't exactly just call home or text all the time,
you know. But I'm assuming fire departments making a suption
hee where their PIO officers or public information officers and stuff,

(01:17:48):
and people in the unit are trying to maybe via
group chat keep spouses and wives and husbands and brothers, sisters,
whoever up to date. I hope that stuff does to happen.
It does happen. John over here, John Camucci is going
to play some new music for us a little side
step for a moment, because a lot of music dropped
which is actually kind of interesting.

Speaker 11 (01:18:08):
Yes, our first one of the year. So a couple
of picks I think you should know about today. The
first one is a new release from Julia Michaels. It's
featuring Maren Morris and it's kind of got this eerie
tie into everything going on this week.

Speaker 3 (01:18:18):
But the song is called Scissor. It's about cutting ties.

Speaker 13 (01:18:20):
Take a listener, goodbye no Cary rivers a funicut ties.

Speaker 14 (01:18:27):
All gets don't bite funic ties. Okay, you should know.

Speaker 3 (01:18:38):
Let's talk about cutting ties, right cool?

Speaker 11 (01:18:39):
If you want to cut ties, no problem, I'll get
the scissors. But why this story is kind of weirdest
they've been pushing this music video with the song that
just dropped this morning. It was a big project that
they had between the two of them that partners with
the song, and it's all shot at this house and
it just so happens that that house has now been
completely burned down because of the fires, and they had
just filmed this video weeks ago, just the mirror number

(01:19:00):
of weeks ago, and it was scheduled to release this Friday,
and then as of days ago, that house no longer exists,
and the family that lives there that let them borrow
the house for the video, they've now lost everything, and
it just kind of adds this other layer to this
perspective that we're getting from all these houses and just
kind of this.

Speaker 3 (01:19:15):
Rear surreal moment.

Speaker 11 (01:19:17):
So Julian Michaels and Maren Morris kind of a bittersweet
release here, you know, something that represents some new music,
but also reminds us all the different perspectives we can
have with this song here. So the next one is
from our friend Dean Lewis. So it's gonna be a
saboy ballad. We already know it's coming out here, but
this one was almost put out by a different artist,
So I kind of want you to keep that in

(01:19:37):
mind as you listen to it.

Speaker 3 (01:19:38):
This is his newest song called with You.

Speaker 17 (01:19:41):
I was Friday fully love with so Goodbody Love, so
Body Love You.

Speaker 20 (01:19:49):
I was Hot.

Speaker 3 (01:19:50):
It's a fat too.

Speaker 15 (01:19:53):
It's nothing solid I ever knew. I'm still love.

Speaker 3 (01:20:00):
Who's out you? And you told me too?

Speaker 2 (01:20:05):
Because I mean, sposed to be different artists, not him.

Speaker 3 (01:20:09):
This was before a different artist. He wrote the song.
It was gonna carry it himself, but then an artist
heard it, okay and wanted it for.

Speaker 2 (01:20:15):
Her for cover itself. Who could that be? Jill? Any guesses?

Speaker 4 (01:20:21):
Terror Swift?

Speaker 2 (01:20:22):
Huh? Any other guesses? Jill, your best guess? What do
you got?

Speaker 4 (01:20:29):
You know this is a long shot?

Speaker 2 (01:20:30):
Okay, go ahead, Rihanna, Jill.

Speaker 3 (01:20:34):
That was just an incredible guest there because it was Rihanna. Yeah,
the song, she held it.

Speaker 11 (01:20:40):
She was going to release it as a single herself,
which Dean was stoked for because he's like, oh my gosh,
a song I wrote. It's gonna come out for Rihanna.
So of course gave her the song. For whatever reason,
it didn't work out, so he was able to take
the song back and now he's released it for himself,
which is great.

Speaker 3 (01:20:53):
Love the song.

Speaker 11 (01:20:53):
It's very Dean Lewis, But then you start thinking, what
would this have sounded like if it were Rihanna? And
it kind of just shows us that, hey, maybe she's serious.
About actually coming out with some music soon, because we've
been teased about that for a very long time from her.

Speaker 3 (01:21:04):
But another good ballad from De Lois. It's called with
You So finally here.

Speaker 11 (01:21:11):
This is the one that I was most into today.
It's my favorite sonically Teddy Swims. It's got a brand
new release out, so get your R and B robes on.
This one's called are You even rio?

Speaker 15 (01:21:21):
Ag?

Speaker 1 (01:21:29):
Something from a tream is something that amaze. It's just
that a s good time awake.

Speaker 11 (01:21:42):
Lap here with an artist named Gibon also known in
the R and B community, just that soulful, smooth voice.
Him and Tennis Swims together like to me, this is
that early two thousands R and B Like, let's bring
back emotional R and B here waking up to somebody
you love and just thinking back.

Speaker 3 (01:21:58):
How did the universe give you to me? Like how
are you even real?

Speaker 11 (01:22:03):
And Teddy Swims also a big big for him too,
is also just announced this week that Teddy Swims and
his partner.

Speaker 3 (01:22:08):
Are going to be expecting their very first child.

Speaker 11 (01:22:10):
So just a lot going on in the world for
Teddy Swims right now. He's got a new album on
the way too. This is are you even real with?
Giveon up my head.

Speaker 3 (01:22:20):
So I'll have a full playlist for you.

Speaker 11 (01:22:21):
I updated every week just so we kind of stay
up to date with all the newest releases. You can
find it on the free iHeartRadio app. If you search
my new music, it'll pop right.

Speaker 15 (01:22:28):
Up one O four to three my FM. Here's what's
coming up.

Speaker 5 (01:22:33):
In entertainment headlines, Beverly Hills nine O two and O
actress Jenny Garth is sharing some gratitude for her ex
husband during the fires.

Speaker 4 (01:22:43):
I'll explain why right after traffic one O four to
three my FM.

Speaker 15 (01:22:47):
Entertainment headlines.

Speaker 5 (01:22:50):
Beverly Hills nine O two and O actress Jenny Garth
post a video on social media tearfully thanking her ex husband,
actor Peter Fachinelli, for taking.

Speaker 4 (01:22:59):
Her in during the fires.

Speaker 5 (01:23:01):
They share three kids together, and she posted saying so
grateful for Peter for letting us stay in his house,
me and all the girls and the dogs and Dave.
She said, our home made it through the nine and
we are feeling so blessed and so fortunate and so lucky.
So went to go to her ex husband's house. I know,
Ben Affleck Emilie went over to Jennifer Garner's house when

(01:23:22):
they were evacuating, so ex's you know, everybody has been
helping their neighbors luckily during this everything I've seen on
social media people offering their homes and different businesses and everything.

Speaker 4 (01:23:34):
So everybody's really coming together, which is so great to see.

Speaker 5 (01:23:37):
And Wicked earned twenty six million dollars in its first
day and then seventy million dollars in its first week
of digital release, just here in the US and Canada alone.
So Wicked and now being able to watch it home,
it's even breaking records that it was breaking in the
theaters now bringing them at home as well.

Speaker 4 (01:23:58):
I'm Jill. When they're in tim and headlines.

Speaker 2 (01:24:00):
Of a bookworm, Zo up in arms said, Wicked, have
you heard about the story?

Speaker 4 (01:24:04):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:24:05):
The scene where I think his name is Fierra, right,
the guy that goes right Fierra, the handsome guy running
around stepping on all those books, kicking them out of
the way. A lot of bookworms up in arms that
he mistreated those books in the movie Wicked. Really, Yes,
it's a big thing.

Speaker 5 (01:24:22):
Oh, I've seen videos of people saying how much they
wish that they were those books that Jonathan Bailey.

Speaker 4 (01:24:29):
Was really stepping on.

Speaker 2 (01:24:32):
That's a weird thing.

Speaker 4 (01:24:34):
I have a weird algorithm.

Speaker 2 (01:24:35):
Yeah, I think you do. Say fifty one. It's one
of four to three MYFM. This is Valentine in the Morning.
If you want to reach out and check in with us,
we'd love to hear how you're doing this morning. Our
text on is three one O four to three, or
you'd call eight sixty six five four to four MYFM

(01:24:56):
one A four three my fam. It is Valentine in
the Morning. Thank you guys for always sharing accurate information
and calm, collective manner. Have very great weekend. I hope
you get some RESK. Good morning, family hous going out
there today, Valentine. Thank you guys for bringing us up
to date and everything we need to be up to
date on. Well, that's what radio does. We do such
a great job. But we also shout out to our
friends at KFI AM six forty, which is our talk

(01:25:18):
station downstairs talk slash news station, and they have assets
in plane, reporters in the ground, so we're getting very
accurate information behind the scenes as well for stuff. But
I do understand how at some point you just want
to scream, right, I mean, how many times has somebody
walked into a room or sent you a text, or
your spouse yells from the other room or comes in

(01:25:40):
and wakes up from nap and goes, there's a new fire.
There's a new fire. What attends? Have we all heard
that over the past few days too, There's a new fire,
there's a new fire. So it is mentally draining for
all of us, even if we haven't had the horrific
experience of losing her home, and Lisa Fox has amid
this show, her boyfriend lost his home, and plenty of

(01:26:01):
people that work in the office here have lost their homes.
And I know that you know somebody has lost their homes.
But this is mentally draining on everybody. So give yourself
a little bit of grace and do the best you
can to be kind to others as well. Andy, good morning,
my friend.

Speaker 10 (01:26:16):
Hey, good morning? How are you? Hi? Everybody?

Speaker 2 (01:26:18):
How you doing, Bud? How are you?

Speaker 10 (01:26:20):
I'm okay, you know, just dealing with everything the way
I can.

Speaker 2 (01:26:26):
Yeah, I guess the better questions are you safe? Are
you secure? Is your family? Okay? Stuff like that? Right,
all of us are asking those questions.

Speaker 10 (01:26:32):
Yeah, I mean for the most part. Yeah, I mean,
everybody's safe, you know. I live in Alhambra and my
neighbor runs the terraces at Park Marino, one of the
buildings that was claimed by the fire on Tuesday, Tuesday evening,
and at that point when that fire had started, I

(01:26:53):
didn't even know that there was a Pasadena fire. We
were just watching notifications for the Palisades and I had
text her to ask her she's mouth fire in her
apartment unit and she said yes, she goes, I'm on
my way to work. And then I got another text
and says, hey, Pasadena's on fire, and I was like,
what do you mean? And then so I got my
neighbor and we rushed over to Altadena in Washington because

(01:27:17):
our other neighbor was waiting in the McDonald's while it's
like on fire and going through San Marino in pitch darkness,
you know, to start things out, there was like this
big eucalyptus tree that like almost hit us. It was
falling right in front of us. And if it wasn't
for my neighbor who was like, hey, stop, stops up,
you know, and then boom. So we had to go

(01:27:38):
around and as you get closer, you just see all
the embers along the street. Just fire, I mean just
I mean everything was igniting. The park was on fire,
that was like seven blocks away, and then as you
get close, the smoke just thickens.

Speaker 2 (01:27:51):
And yeah, you're say your goal was to go in
and help them get out then out of the apartment, right, yeah.

Speaker 10 (01:27:56):
Right right, And that's I mean, we were successful on that.
But even on the way home, you know, like I
was explaining, is that the aftermath when the adrenaline settles
and you have all that compassion and that empathy. And
when I got home, my roommate was like, are you okay?
And I just was was balling, you know what I mean,
because you just can't. You can't. I don't think that

(01:28:18):
I was made to be able to process that kind
of destruction and that kind of I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:28:25):
I mean, you know, it's not that you were made
to process that. It's a rarity that we have to
process that, you know what I mean. And PTSD post
traumatic stress syndrome and post traumatic stress disorder and stuff
like that. That's a real thing. And you know, the
men and women that served a military, they're trained, and
yet they still face it. You know, firefighters, they're trained

(01:28:46):
and yet they still face it. So distress from traumatic
situations is quite a real thing. So do make sure
in the days, months and years ago by that you
take care of your personal mental health because memories of
going into a fire try to save somebody from burning buildings.
That stuff doesn't go away, not overnight, I'm sure you.

Speaker 10 (01:29:04):
Know, no, absolutely, and so I you know, I mean,
my only advice that I would tell people who are
dealing with this that would just be to be, like,
you know, compassion has to be at the forefront right now.

Speaker 2 (01:29:14):
Compassion comes in different phases too, in different forms. I mean,
many folks now, as we hopefully get a handle on
these fires and stuff like that and stop anymore from
new ones from popping up, there's a lot of evacuees
that need homes, and you'll find a lot more people
in your community, perhaps if you know communities surrounding the
Palace States and stuff like that, and surrounding Altadna, different

(01:29:35):
areas in Pasadena. Communities will have more people at the
gas station, more people at the restaurants, more people at
the grocery stores. Because these folks lived three or four
towns over and maybe weren't there that time. But when
you've got hundreds of thousands of people displaced from homes,
there are going to be more people on the road
in your area, more people at the store in your area,
and we have to be compassionate to our neighbors that

(01:29:56):
will now be part of our daily lives. And that's
the only right. Absolutely and dry January has been canceled.

Speaker 10 (01:30:06):
I just threw my bottle out, so I'm good.

Speaker 2 (01:30:08):
Oh, all right, all right, there you go.

Speaker 10 (01:30:13):
I wish you guys all the best, and I just
personally want to say, you know, Valentine and Jill and
all you guys, I really appreciate everything that you guys do.
I take you guys with me in the mornings, and
I just I find a lot of strength through you
guys and through your laughter and through everything that you
guys talk about, even if it doesn't relate to me.

(01:30:34):
But I'm glad that Los Angeles has u l and
I just think that the world needs more more light
that the type of light that you guys all carry,
because you guys are doing great service to our city
and to anybody who listens so much. Appreciate it, and
thank you. Thank you for that.

Speaker 2 (01:30:53):
Thank you, and it's very nice to say thank you
very much. I appreciate that. We'll listen, be safe and
take care of yourself.

Speaker 10 (01:30:58):
Okay, thank you so much, Valentine.

Speaker 2 (01:31:00):
Okay, one, four to three.

Speaker 15 (01:31:07):
My SM Entertainment headlines.

Speaker 5 (01:31:12):
Sesame Street's fifty fifth season is going to kick off
on Max on January sixteenth, and they have so many
guest stars that are going to be a part of
this monumental season, including Renee Rapp, Sizza, Noah Kahn, Michael
b Jordan, Chris Stapleton, Jonathan Manis, and Billy Jean King

(01:31:32):
and Spider Man star Tom Holland. He is going to
start in a new adaptation of John Grisham's novel The Partner.

Speaker 4 (01:31:39):
This was just announce It's going to.

Speaker 5 (01:31:40):
Be about a junior partner at a law firm who
steals ninety million dollars from a wealthy client, fakes his
own death, and flees to Brazil.

Speaker 4 (01:31:48):
So that'll be Tom Holland's next project. I'm Jill with
er timid headlines.

Speaker 2 (01:31:52):
All right, so you're done. Jill's in New York. We've
been here keeping you up to date. Obviously, the fires
and stuff and hopefully doing a credible job. But credit
to all the media outlets in Los Angeles. You're not
going to hear this from many media outlets, but I
mean they've all done a good job. I think everyone
stepped up the power of radio. Ellen K's done an

(01:32:12):
amazing job down there, Wood he's done a great job.
Big boys doing a great job, Chress doing a great job.
So everyone for their audience and regular listeners, and maybe
you found us, maybe you're new to the show, and
thank you for taking time to be with us. But
everyone's did a good job. And I'm sure the other
stations where the companies KTLA, ABC, FOX, CBS, everybody's doing
what they can with reporters on the ground to bring

(01:32:35):
you the information in a timely manner. And KFI has
been just an absolute stud you know, they're leading the
way downstairs. KFIM six forty. So you know, that's what
radio and that's what local TV should be in times
to be like that, and hopefully that's what we should
be for you as companions in the regular days, the
ordinary days which will come again, the ordinary days when
you're rushing out the door complaining to your kid that

(01:32:57):
they're not ready and you're late for school. You know,
those are the fun days, right you look back on finally,
But we'll be there again. In the meantime, though, we
are doing a lot of fundraising and we are working
together as community to help folks who are displaced by
the fire and folks who have lost their homes due
to the fire. And that is starting today, right John.

Speaker 3 (01:33:13):
Yeah, that's right. I'm going to be there at eleven am.
All the details are on our Instagram.

Speaker 11 (01:33:17):
You can find the address there and if you have
any clothes that you want to donate, and even the
other items too, like some of those non perishable foods,
maybe water bottles, phone chargers, all that kind of stuff
will be needed. And I'm going to kick that off
at eleven am this morning and we'll go all throughout
the next time.

Speaker 2 (01:33:30):
Where are you going to be.

Speaker 3 (01:33:31):
I'm trying to get the address for Okay, so.

Speaker 2 (01:33:33):
We not have a sheet for him.

Speaker 6 (01:33:34):
It's the Dream Center in Los Angeles, in downtown Los Angeles.

Speaker 2 (01:33:37):
Yes, once again I said, how prepared we are. We're
all doing such a great job. Sorry, the Dream Center
in downtown Los Angeles. Do you have the information the
break of course?

Speaker 3 (01:33:46):
Oh my god, there It is twenty three to ZHO
one Bellvue Avenue.

Speaker 2 (01:33:50):
IHeartMedia, Los Angeles teaming up with the Dream Center to
help people affected by the devastating fires across La County.
So we're working to provide immediate support and resources to
the people that need to help the most, like right now,
during this time, and you can't help by going to
the one four to three miifro dot com slash donate.
We will be at the Dreams that are, like John said,
in downtown LA. You can proconally drop off any goods
you'd like to donate. This is not just today, it's

(01:34:10):
going through the weekend through next week. We'll be doing
it for a while here collecting the can goods of
snacks they're ready to eat, meals, bottled water, hygiene products, clothing,
baby supplies, so many things that you take for granted
on a daily basis, but you're desperately need now what
a four to threemifro dot com slash donate. All the
collected items will be distributed directly to the people affected
by the fires. The Dream Center is also offering its

(01:34:31):
facilities as a twenty four to seven shelter. How great
is that the people that have been displaced can go
there if they need to. And everybody is stepping up.
And that's a great thing about such a large footprint
of southern California, Los Angeles, Ventura County, all the different counties, OHC,
San Radina, Riverside. Everybody's stepping up to the plate in
their own way. And if you can do that too

(01:34:52):
in your own daily lives, that'll make an impact in
a difference for so many of our friends and neighbors
displaced by these fires. And thank you to our firefighters
continued to fight these god awful blazes. Jill, travel safe
back from New York. I know you had fun there.
You saw a Broadway play. What a great time for you,
What a great time.

Speaker 4 (01:35:09):
Thank you. My fight is tonight and I will be
back with you all Monday morning.

Speaker 2 (01:35:14):
Okay, you'd better be healthy too.

Speaker 4 (01:35:17):
I'm gonna be so healthy.

Speaker 2 (01:35:18):
Because I'm tired of being sick today. Isn't this gracious? Yeah?
Jill was the poor thing. She was displaced this entire time,
like in New York for Netflix, but missing her her
brand new husband. So there's no baby making.

Speaker 5 (01:35:30):
Right, And unfortunately, the whole event, the whole reason I
came to New York for iHeart and Netflix was canceled
due to the fires, so which you.

Speaker 2 (01:35:40):
Would think they would have caught that ahead of time,
But I mean, I guess they kind of got into
and thought they could still do it and then realized
it be either your poor taste were a lot of
their people that worked for them were worried about their
own friends and family back in Los Angeles. Obviously, right,
that was it, Gosha, Well, thank you for you show. Jill,
thank you for your shu and thank you for show. Laura,
thank you for show. Michael Pullman, thank you for your show.
John Cammucha, thank you for your show. Natya Brest, thank

(01:36:00):
you for your show as well. Lisa Fox is coming
up next. I wish you a safe weekend. I wish
you a RESTful weekend. We'll be here to help you
again Monday morning with Valentine in the Morning.
