Speaker 1 (00:02):
Saulsbury.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Okay, let's do this.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Shawn Salisbury, the USC true longtime friend, Shawn Salisbury.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Bryan Lima, go Lobos. This is the Shawn Salisbury Show.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
The Texans take on the Cowboys nine of Monday Night Football.
Your Houston Rockets improved a ten to four. They blow
out the Bulls. They put up over one hundred and
forty points last night. Sean Triple League. Good morning's happening.
Ain't nothing but the Brint.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
All Good here, nobody's tripping.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
I hope you guys had a fat football. Yeah, she's
finally lost.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
You think, Joshua that there's your MVP in the league
right now. Josh Allen, Yeah, man, is he good? Took
another step? That run he had was just fantastic at
the end. That was not today. So it was incredible
having to make that play to extend to drive. It
was and a great call by Joe Brady, but also

(01:14):
not just a great call by Brady, but the execution
of Josh Allen to just get it done and make
a great individual play that the guy on the other
side has been making forever. And Josh Allen's rarefied here.
When it comes to skill set, man, it was a
hell of a watch, and you knew Kansas City wasn't
going undefeated, and they just made more play. They did
what Kansas City does to everybody else. I mean, they

(01:37):
tried to pop back into it, but Josh Allen answered
every time. And on the fourth of what was it
fourth and two or something, when they went for it,
and he made some clutch throws and some phenomenal plays
down the stretch. You put the ball in your best
player's hands, and he did on fourth and two, fake
a screen left and he just bought time and ran
pump fake twice and got down in there and then

(01:57):
running through people with a big physical body, not even
chance just having to kick a field goal down there.
He took it to a level that's a tough place
to go win. And I have a hunch you may
see those two again. It's a hell of a matchup
and that was a great win for Buffalo last night.

Speaker 5 (02:12):
Chiefs finally lose.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
Patrick Mahomes after the game said that he's gonna They're
gonna use this as fuel.

Speaker 5 (02:19):
Fuel for the rest of the season.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Yeah. Well, if whatever it takes, whatever you got to
lean on to get the stuff done, then you do.
That's that's uh.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
They were nine and oh yeah like cut cut the
whole like, well, they were not motivational. We're gonna use
it as fuel, of course. Nine and oh dude, you're
Patrick Mahomes. We don't need to know that you're gonna
use the regular season loss as fuel.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Yeah, what kind of fuel do they need? Their back
to back super Bowl chance? The fuel is just to
keep dominating. But I don't I mean, it isn't the
typical saying the same thing. Let's play hard. It's a
phil phil phrase. Use this fuel, use this fuel? What
to go ten and one?

Speaker 5 (02:55):
Exactly?

Speaker 2 (02:57):
To go ten and one and win next week? Okay,
you have been the best team in football for quite
some time, and here we are again with this opportunity.
But they were just beat last night. The fuel is
you better find a way to stop Josh Allen and
Josh Allen and the Bills. It's kind of satisfying in
your own building. You not only put yourself in a
position to still try and go get home field advanced

(03:18):
throout the playoffs if you're Buffalo, but also you do
it and you're building an into teams regular season undefeated,
a regular undefeated season, and it was fun to watch
playmakers all over the field, and Josh Allen was superb
when it mattered. And Buffalo, I'm telling you what, just
as shocked as you may want to be about a
team like the Jets, a team like you know, teams

(03:40):
that you're like shocked that they're really good or shocked
that they're really bad, or the inconsistency of it, or
that you're like like the Cowboys, like who have thought
they'd be this bad? But you look at Buffalo. You
remember going in all offseason changes, not a lot of weapons.
Well I didn't. I didn't pick them to win the division.
I don't think you did either. They had was a
wild card or maybe I think And here we are

(04:00):
with them not only better than they've been maybe not
maybe not overall talent, but they're executing it better on
both sides of the ball, and their quarterback is fantastic
and what a what a This may be his MVP season,
But I'll tell you what, I'm sure what matters more
is getting his team to February because that's the that's
always the crowning moment for the quarterback, right.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
Yeah, when it when it comes to the Bills. I
was worried about their lack of weapons. I was like,
who are they going to throw? Who's going to throw to?
It seems like Josh Allen.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Is they've found they've found some guys figured out really
have and so it's pretty impressive. And their defenses flies
around still to the bet what I think, two top
five defenses in the league if I'm not mistaken, both
Buffalo and Kansas City, and then two top five quarterbacks
in the league, and maybe one and two in Buffalo
and Kansas City. And they both did their thing. But

(04:51):
Allen was better when it mattered last night and took
care of it, and so was Buffalo.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
Yeah, books, Bo Knicks put on a performance against the Falcons.
They won thirty eight to six. As we kind of
look across the league, he was twenty eight to thirty three,
four touchdowns over three hundred yards passing Patrick Mahomes and
that loss only three for one hundred and ninety six yards,
didn't even get over two hundred and.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
In truth, when Mahomes says that Brian about fuel, they've
had games that have come down to last possessions and
like last last handful of minutes where they won like
five of them this year, mining Kansas City. And so
maybe the fuel also is the chance that even though
they were nine to zero, it wasn't a beute pretty night.

(05:30):
You would have never taken their offense this year. If
you said, okay, pick the offense you want to lead you,
you'd have taken Detroit or somebody else if you want
the defense. Now, Kansas City would have been in the conversation,
but you'd still think of some other teams you as
you go to talent wise, they're not the most talented roster. Offensively,
they're not because they don't how to win and they
are really they just they're great pressure team. But when

(05:51):
Mahomes says we're going to use it as fuel, the
truth is they have not played. They're not a great team.
They win, they find win, which makes you this year
they've been the greatest team in the league record wise,
but they are not a great team when it comes
when you line up all they're not even the best
Kansas City Chiefs team they've had. But nowine to no

(06:13):
we know how good they are. But it just so
when he says that fuel, they probably need fuel to
get a little bit better, because in truth, you question
the chiefs explosive offense more than you question anything. You'll
get them on Xavior Worthy hands. Pretty good things happen.
But yeah, so maybe that's part of it too. I
wouldn't expect the Chiefs to lose to you know what,

(06:33):
they got six or so to go. I wouldn't expect
them to lose many more games. So Buffalo is gonna
have to stay the course and finish their season as
close to undefeated as they can. If they want home
field advantage, that's that's gonna matter, because both those home
venues are impressive. Yeah, Buffalo's hard place in Kansas City.
It feels like every single time we wake up, Kansa
City's got a home primetime or the game of the week,

(06:54):
and they got another one yesterday, only was in Buffalo's building.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
You know what's an even crazier thing across the NFL.
Joe Burrow three and twenty eight yards passing twenty seven
touchdowns compared to just four interceptions this season, and the
Bengals lose a game in their four and seven.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
And found a way to lose late again, right, they
would have a furious comeback by Cincinnati. I'll say this
in truth if they were six and three, seven, six
and four, he's probably the MVP of the league. Yeah,
nobody's done more. With a team that cannot they find

(07:31):
ways every week to blow a leade. I mean, to
either blow a lead or come back and just fall short,
and he just puts up. I mean, imagine what they'd
be doing. I'm not sure they'd want to have won
a game maybe one without him his season. This is
one of his most spectacular seasons, considering statistically that his
team just is not very good. No, and he true,

(07:53):
he's like that Andre Dawson year he won the MVP
on the last place team you could when he was
with a I'm pretty sure they were last place that
you went. Andre Dawson won it did Cincinnati Bengals. He
could actually win the MVP on a non I mean
he's not going to, but he is in position. He's
put up numbers. If his team was over five hundred,

(08:15):
he would be at you. You'd be putting him in
the top three candidates for the MVP.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
Twenty seven touchdowns in just four interceptions.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
He's playing really good football. And they lost again again.
They are four and seven. It's freaking crazy. Got the
Monday Night football game tonight, Texans and Cowboys. And obviously
we talked all last week about the offensive line, the
play calling in the especially in the second half. Well,

(08:46):
here we are, it's Monday game tonight. Looks like Nico
Collins will be back playing again. Will Anderson Junior has
already been ruled out. He will not play. I look,
everybody wants Will Intereston back in the lineup, but does
does it really matter because this Cowboys team is not
very good.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
I think you want him back in the lineup obviously
for the rest of the hall. Can they beat him
without him?

Speaker 6 (09:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (09:12):
If you're Will Anderson, you're I mean, this is driving
you crazy that you're not on the field. So yeah,
I listen. If they both play their best, the Texans
beat him into the ground. If the Texans play good
football and the Cowboys play their best game of the season,
they still will be in the game, meaning the Texans.

(09:32):
If they both play poorly than who the hell knows.
But I just can't found. I don't know how the
Cowboys are gonna move the football. Yeah, on the defense. Yet,
going in and doing the show yesterday, we all agreed
that how are the Colts? How in the world. The
Colts going to get first downs against the Jets, and
with Anthony Richard making plays, but can he his inaccuracy

(09:53):
is I mean, it's it's so palpable, it's crazy. Yeah, yesterday,
what's he like twenty or thirty or something? The best
accuracy game, right, So it was like, okay, it can
it can happen. Talented guy, and his accuracy was better
than it's been all year long. He had a forty
four percent completion rate. So listen, and in a rivalry

(10:14):
with this, you know, four hours away, of course the
Cowboys can beat them if the Texans play good football.
I don't see how the Cowboys do beat them. They're
they're just they're not talented. They don't have that many
good players. I mean, there are four players away from
being four players away to be good.

Speaker 4 (10:33):
Crazy in that game, Colts winning that game against the Jets,
Colts twenty eight twenty seven over the New York Jets.
Aaron Rodgers didn't even throw for over two hundred yards.
He was twenty two to twenty nine and eighty four yards,
averaging just six yards a throw.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
They suck because it sounds so to say Aaron Rodgers
has become this year just a guy. Yeah. I know
that's hard for people to fathom. But whether it's father
time or the system or the lack of players. Yet
people swear that they have talent, I'd be one of them.
Yet he is part of the problem of why they're

(11:08):
not winning regularly, and I think that's a surprise to
most of us. I didn't you think. I mean, he's
one of those you think, oh, he's going to come
back and get after last year and all the questions
that they've got players, they're going to come back and
be competitive, all competitive. But they have been overly competitive
on a regular basis. It's been so inconsistent. They're just
and he's playing like a guy that you can find

(11:29):
just about anywhere right now.

Speaker 4 (11:30):
I'm pretty sure I had them win in the division.
I did had Buffalo coming in as a wild card. Yeah,
because I really thought that the Jets would be a
lot better they have or going into the season. I
felt like they had so many different playmakers and with
the healthy Aaron Rodgers, I thought they were going to
be able to get it done.

Speaker 5 (11:46):
And they stink. Three wins this season. Oh, it's awful.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
It's a horrible watch and I think sometime last week
Darreon Rodgers said he's going to come back and play
next year.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
Yeah, that doesn't know. That doesn't surprise me one bit.
They're going to have to start to look to the
future and figure out what they're going to do though.

Speaker 5 (12:00):
Yeah, we look to the future.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
For tonight to Monday night football matchup between the Texans
and the Cowboys, Let's look at the defensive side of
the football for the Texans. The offense for the Cowboys
not very good, but you can't take it lightly, especially
in this weird ass league of the NFL.

Speaker 5 (12:17):
It's next on Sports Talk seven to eighty is.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
The Sean Salisbury Show Sales.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
That's beutiful, A lot of things to dig into when
it comes to that matchup tonight. Defensively, Sean for the
UH Texans, obviously Will Anderson Junior not going to be
playing tonight, but still got Neil Hunter and the rest
of the talented flying around Texans defense. Do you see

(12:47):
them struggling against this offense for the Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
No, I don't see how the Cowboys are gonna muster
up enough offense to move the ball. Excuse me consistently,
I mean where their threats. Uh do Zeke Elliott? Yeah,
last night and this morning, I was just kind of
going through, all right, what where do they scare you?
What do the Cowboys do?

Speaker 4 (13:09):
Great, he'll kicker, Yeah, it's about it Aubrey from the
parking lot.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
And well, well, you're your kicker is one of your
three best players. You got some issues that are healthy especially,
but see what Prescott, Parsons, Prescott, Ceedee Lamb, Zach Martin
and the kicker.

Speaker 5 (13:25):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
That's your best players. Yeah, okay, so what what are
and their kickers not? I mean it's you know, Monoe mono,
the kicker here and the kicker there. So there where
do they win the battle? Well, the best player on
the field when he's healthy, on either side of the
ball is probably Michael Parsons more than like probably the

(13:47):
best player. But Hunter's not I mean the Hunters in
the conversation. Will Anderson's obviously when he plays is in conversation.

Speaker 6 (13:59):
Right.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
There's some really good players on this team, But you
tell me where they win the matchup? Not a field
goal kicking, not a special teams. They don't win it
at quarterback, they don't win it at running back. They
don't win it at wide receiver. Now getting Nico Collins back,
that is a deeper wide receiver room. Even without Stefan Diggs.
They don't win it at tight end. They don't win
it in front seven. The truth is their offensive line

(14:23):
in any better. I mean, then the numbers may not
look the same, but this is a better with more talent.
The best one of them all is probably Zach Martin,
a possible Hall of Fame guy. But and then on defense, Parsons,
But where's their advantage? The coaching is not an advantage
for them.

Speaker 4 (14:40):
No, it's not coaching. It's not quarterback, so it's not
running back.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
So where where when you go the tail of the tape,
where do they win? Now I'm not see we don't say. Okay,
and if part of the tail of tape was best
player on the field, Stroud has an argument, Collins will
have an argument, Joe Mixon will have an argument. Michael
Parsons has an argument. Other than that, Zach mar and
not the best i've you bet or even the best
of a grouping, Where do the Cowboys win that battle?

(15:08):
They don't. Now, you still got to play the game,
and it didn't exactly like the Texans have played four
quarters of phenomenal football, So that's you know, I'm talking
about on a regular basis. So they've got some fixing
to do as well. But and when you watch some
of these teams, you say, how did that team beat
that team? So that's where you've got to be cautious.
And like I said, being embarrassed is a pretty good

(15:30):
indicator of what happens. You could have called it, and
was doing a show yesterday Detroit's first half against the
Texans last week, they were humiliated. Now they came on
and won the football game. But still that's the bittersweet.
You go in you won, but then you go into
the meeting room the next day like, yeah, we weren't
very good. We were fortunate to pull that one out.
On a show I was doing yesterday, I said my

(15:50):
lock of the weekend, they were fourteen point favorites in Detroit.
I believe Detroit fourteen point favorites. Going to the game
against Jacksonville and the two guys I do the pregame
show with, they said my lock of the week's Detroit.
I said, they'll have twenty eight points by halftime. Well,
they had Towy It's not like I knew that was good,
but twenty eight points. They hung fifty two on them? Yeah,
I said why because not only are they at home,
but even after they won last week, they were not

(16:14):
happy with the way they played on either side of
the ball. What do they do? Go hang fifty two?
So embarrassing yourself? The difference is Detroit's a supremely talented team.
The Cowboys aren't. So even out of being embarrassed on
a regular basis, what are the Cowboys doing there is
As a matter of fact, their home field advantage is
now in the visiting team advantage. They can't stop anybody
the run game. How are they getting off the field

(16:35):
if they hand the ball to Mixing twenty five times?
How is that defense getting stops the way they've played
It is football. They do get paid, and you know
how that goes. It could make a difference, and it
may end up. Did the Cowboys win? If the Texans
played ninety percent of the way they played in the
first half in the first half against the Cowboys and
then just play seventy five percent better than the of

(16:59):
the second half. Take seventy five percent the first half,
put in the second they'll win by ten points. I
just don't see how the Cowboys. The Cowboys are one
of the worst. They're one of the three or four
worst teams in football right now in my opinion, just
from the overall roster, in the way they're playing.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
The Dallas Cowboys defense points per game they allow twenty
eight point eight. There's only one team that is worse
than them, and it's the Carolina Panthers. They are second
to last in the league when it comes to defense.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
And their run defense at home cannot be much better.
I mean, they can't be getting any stops in a
run they are. You can have your way with the
You can have your way with the Dallas Cowboys when
it comes to statistics and moving the moving the ball
and doing all the things you want to do.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
Yards per game they are bottom five the Cowboys total
yards per game.

Speaker 5 (17:45):
And then let's you mentioned rushing yep defense.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
Rushing defense for the Cowboys they allow oh my gosh,
they allow over one hundred and fifty two yards per game.

Speaker 5 (17:57):
That is second to last.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
And they haven't phased three runs that are better than
this guy wow this year. That's my point is how
many possessions are they actually going to get to me.
This would be the worst loss in two years for
the Texans. Yes, to lose to the Cowboys, and yes,
I am talking Carolina from last year. And the reason
why I say that is because nobody thought Carolina would

(18:18):
be that good. This Cowboys were widely picked as either
a playoff team or to win the division this year.
They can't run their own nose right now? How in
the world a they going to run a division?

Speaker 5 (18:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (18:31):
This is this. If the Texans played good football, this
will not This game should not be in question in
the fourth quarter. But it's football, So don't turn the
TV off. So do you think and we can tease
this as we get ready to go to break? Do
you think obviously there's been issues with a second half,
second half play calling. There's been issues where it's predictable,

(18:52):
there's been issues with one dimensional. Hey, let's just run run,
run pass, run, run, run pass. Do you think going
into this game and they see how poor the Cowboys
run defense is, do you think this shrinks the play
calling for Bobby Slowik, meaning all, hey, we got Joe

(19:12):
mix and let's just we're gonna run thirty eight times. Well,
I would think that there's part of that that says,
look at the numbers. If we have an average game,
we're a buck twenty instead of a buck fifty. But
what do you think that the Cowboys are thinking? Then
then we're gonna stop the run, right And in the
process of doing that, you get Nico Collins back. You
just don't have enough good defensive players to stop a

(19:34):
two dimensional football team. So I'm sure Bobby Slowan thinks
we're gonna run it, but I'm sure the Dallas Cowboys
are saying, no, we can't let him run it. So
in the process, what do you do? You got to
keep an extra man around the line of scrimmage to
have numbers in your favor, which means that Collins and
Tank Dell and perimeter people may see some single type coverage.

(19:57):
Because if you think you're gonna line up in two
high safeties and stop with that front seven and stop
detection from running the ball, good luck. That's that That
is their strength right now offensively, And we'll see how
Nico Collins fully feels getting into this game. But just
the fact that he's playing makes the Cowboys go, Okay,
now we've got Now they're they're four wides formidable, They

(20:20):
are deep in the receiver room and Stroud. We know
as hell Stroud's the best quarterback in the game even
if Dak Prescott is playing, and that's Prescott was second
in the MVP voting last year. So there's just a
the Cowboys don't have enough great players. They both play good.
Cowboys lose, But it is the NFL, and embarrassment and

(20:40):
job safety and security can be a problem that'll scare
you one way or the other. Scare you into playing
tight and not getting it done, or what do I
got to lose as a play caller and all that
and cut it loose. We're gonna find out what the
Cowboys about. We're also going to find out something about
if they let the Cowboys hang around, and especially in
Dallas where it's they're not any Last year they were
so good at home. This year they're so bad that

(21:03):
we're worried about this year. This is the year that matters. Now.
If they're going there and struggle, that would be a
bit you want to win. He'll take him anyway and
get him because they're hard to come by. But I'm
gonna tell you this almost needs to be pretty yeah
ass kicking like domination, yes, yeah, which they've done one
time this year.

Speaker 5 (21:20):
Yeah, once.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
Yeah, and that was when it was Drake May starting
in that game, yes, right, that was was it his
first or second start? First? Yesterday? May I think was
thirty or forty.

Speaker 5 (21:29):
Yeah, he was. He's getting it better. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
So the Dallas Cowboys, the Texans shouldn't should take this
personal this week, meaning tonight.

Speaker 5 (21:38):
Yeah, they should.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
They need to dominate on all facets of the football game.
Let's talk about the offense for the Texans. Obviously, Joe
Mixon is going to be running the football heavily for
the Texans. But how does that affect Bobby Sloak's play
Calm will dig into that more right here on The
Seawn Salisbury Show.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
The Sewan Salisbury Show continued, Roger.

Speaker 5 (22:05):
You're up first, Good morning, Good morning, my people. What's happening.

Speaker 7 (22:10):
How'd you like Mike Tisan turn to the other cheeks?

Speaker 4 (22:13):
Ah, you saw a couple of ass cheeks.

Speaker 8 (22:17):
Huh man, I'm so bummed.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
I'm so bummed about that, Roger, I thought it not
about his ass. I'm not really bummed about that, but
I am. I was bummed that it was an exhibition
because it wasn't a Mike Tyson looked he landed eighteen
punches in eight rounds. And I love Tyson, but we
know there was a mandate. Now if you're watching fourteen
ounce gloves, yeah, that because you can't train like he trained.

(22:42):
And we watched the video and then go in there
and stand with your hands and he didn't throw a punch.
It seemed like the last five rounds he just stayed
away like that. They said, don't hit him through the
right because if you then the truth is, if Tyson wins,
does boxing win? No, Because you're trying to turn Jake
Paul into a sensation and give him some respect. The
guy's pretty good for a guy who wasn't he trained

(23:04):
when he was four years old to be a boxer
or ten years old. But listen, I don't know who
wins it, but I know this, Jake Paul didn't have
to defend himself very much. The alls he had to
do is stay away from some lucky because Mike Tyson
did not. He didn't throw a punch to the last
he did. You get I'm hyperbolic, but did he throw
how many theories did he throw in the last five rounds.

Speaker 5 (23:22):
You know, there were a couple.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
Where he threw punches and stopped himself short of throwing
a combo because he had There was one time where
he hit Jake Paul with the left and Jake Paul
kind of backed up because he got I wouldn't sa
he got rocked. We'd got clipped pretty good, and Tyson
could have thrown a combo, but it's just he just
kind of stood there and I was like, dude, this
is from early on, Roger, I'm with you, classic money grab.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
Yeah, there's no doubt. It's a bummer because we were
all led to believe in Netflix, you got to do
better on this surve ming was awful. Yeah, but it
just to me it was ani Will Roger, you could
finish your point. But I just I was bummed because
we were all, I mean, all the celebrity was like,
it was a real fight. If you knew Mike was
gonna be you know, sons, his kids get to watch
him fight. But I wanted to watch the real tie fight.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Just let it.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
I don't know if he gets knocked out in three rounds,
I don't know if he knocks Jake Paul out in
five rounds. But the last five or six rounds where
Mike was just dancing around the room and he wasn't
gonna hit him, he landed eighteen punches. Now Tyson was
capable of landing more than eighteen punches in three rounds,
let alone eight.

Speaker 5 (24:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (24:22):
I just figured, I just think that this is, you know,
becoming more and more than death of boxing.

Speaker 10 (24:26):
Man.

Speaker 9 (24:26):
So you look, you look at the other night and
it's Bones, Jones and Stipend and it was way better,
and part was way better.

Speaker 7 (24:33):
It was just I don't know, man.

Speaker 9 (24:34):
Boxing is you know that that's one of the cancers
right there, Guys like Jake Paul just degrading the sport
like that. I know he got paid, and you know
I gave him all the all the problems in the
world for making something out of nothing, because that's what
he's pretty much.

Speaker 7 (24:47):
Done with his career.

Speaker 9 (24:48):
Uh so yeah, and docting energy uh dame transformation for
the Astros.

Speaker 7 (24:53):
All I know is well, when I went there last
year a couple of times last year, you know, it
was pretty warm. Better not feel a beat us when
I walked into that sucker.

Speaker 9 (25:01):
Uh this this season when I'm watching the Games, man,
that's all I got.

Speaker 5 (25:06):
I would thank you, Roger, Jake paul Man. What was
he talking about? You said this?

Speaker 4 (25:17):
Well, I saw on Tripley's notes. Yeah. Remember remember I
asked you in this steak out. I think I don't know,
like three weeks ago, remember the report about the dyking
the h VAC company, Yeah, taking over the Yeah apparently
the Yeah, apparently they're going to officially announce that. I
think it's either today or tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
That's what Roger was talking about, right.

Speaker 5 (25:37):
Yeah, well just in yeah, triple in the notes, but
I'm talking.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
About his final comment when he said I hear anything
about the heating or air conditions. That what he said. Yeah, yeah,
Roger a good point about the fight though, I just
it was disappointed. I love Tyg going eight rounds and
dance around, but that didn't look like the Mike Tyson
that I think we expected on a No.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
You know, you look at his sparring footage and dude,
he is throwing bombs in commos in speed. Yeah, and
then you get him out here and it's like, clearly
there was a mandate cold or not a mandate.

Speaker 5 (26:06):
Maybe there was give or take.

Speaker 11 (26:07):
He did almost die.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
Yeah, yeah, you see he lost someone, Yeah, blood transfusion. Yeah, No, No,
I don't doubt that. Yeah, I think I don't know. Listen,
I still Tyson's legacy is not ruined by me. He's
fifty eight years old. He made twenty million bucks. Paul
made forty million bucks. Who of us wouldn't have said, okay, yes,
no matter how much you made, yes, of course, twenty
million dollars. And to know that, you know, and Paul, well,

(26:33):
he hit him a few times. He didn't exactly attack
him when he could have it. Well, when he had him,
stunned me, and he backed off a little bit as well,
not saying he would have won. I don't know if
both of them went balls to the wall. Who wins
fifty eight is tough. But I'll tell you what. Okay,
you at fifty eight, you walk into a bar and
there's a dad there, but you know the dad's had

(26:54):
some training in his past, and you're thirty five? Are
you really willing to take that on just and cannot
knowing what he's going to bring to the table. No, right,
because that old man's strength and can get you. Yeah's
two minutes. How he gonna do the last sixteen minutes?
For when he trained world class athlete, or he's gonna
grab a barstool and smack you across. So you're like,
this dude out and the mental part thinks Tyson did

(27:16):
just different. Yeah, and and I love him for it,
and so I I don't The legacy thing has nothing
to do. It was just a bummer because when you
watch his sparring sessions and how quick he is to
the to the rib cage and the body blows, what
he's He's abused.

Speaker 5 (27:30):
People in his life.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
I'm talking about on the in the ring that I'm
talking about in the ring when he is going at him.
Those body blows have taken the soul out of boxers.
And yeah, and as good as Jake Paul's gotten as
a boxer and created this, you know that he's actually
fairly formidable.

Speaker 5 (27:46):
It appears.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
But if Tyson goes all in, I'm not we gotta
find out what kind of chiney has. But those body
blows that Tyson, you watch him sparring, it's like, do
you really if you saw it, you really want to
fight that, fight him, fight that punishment that he can deliver.
Yet it was completely different.

Speaker 4 (28:04):
Yeah, and then and then you look at you look
at the UFC event on Saturday night. I mean, UFC
is is like cream of the crop right now. That
card on Saturday night was really damn good. Triple Did
you watch it?

Speaker 12 (28:17):
I did?

Speaker 5 (28:18):
Didn't miss the beat?

Speaker 4 (28:19):
Yeah, I need I watch the entire thing. John John
Jones is the greatest of all time. John Bone, John's
Bones Jones, John Bones Jones. Both his brothers were there. Tyson, Uh,
what's his name? You got, gosh, Tyson Jones and and
oh my gosh, John to blank. Both of them play
in the NFL Chandler Jones and and uh, I think

(28:40):
it's Tyson Jones.

Speaker 5 (28:41):
Anyway, I probably butchered that one.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
But you got two brothers that are athletes too, that's
what you're saying. Yeah, Jamon Jones pretty good football player.

Speaker 5 (28:49):
He uh knocked out Steepe with a spinning.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
Heel kick to the rib cakes and then pounded him.
Think about how think about how honishing that is. Think
about the velocity and the explosiveness that that takes to not.

Speaker 5 (29:06):
Get you know, Arthur and Jon Excuse me, I just
want to make sure I get that right.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
So with that, and I'm gonna tell you what. Back
to the to the Friday night, if you didn't watch
the pre card, I mean the two women that box did,
I my god, I mean you're talking about flurries. And
then before that was it the welterweight super welterweight. Dude,
they they got after it. And I was hoping that

(29:31):
the that the main event was going to be that
was going to be somewhat like that. Eight rounds and
just pounded on each other for two minutes around and
we didn't hit and it was a bummer. No congrats
to Jake Paul, good for Mike Tyson. But that was
not that was not that was not a saying this action. Yes,

(29:52):
that was not a they didn't get the box even.

Speaker 4 (29:54):
But look at look at when Jake Paul and Tyson
did their face off and Jake Paul stepped on Tyson's
foot and he slapped him promo, he slapped him. But
also you like, look at like the aggressiveness when he
backed up and was ready to go.

Speaker 5 (30:07):
You didn't even see that in a boxing match.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
The Tyson that was a boxer, boxer would have fueled
that that anger and would have came sprinted across the
ring in the round one and through a flurry to
see if he could handle the opening round. Meaning Jake Paul, Listen,
it was entertaining because you were waiting for something to happen.
But you can't look us in the face and convince

(30:30):
us that that was anything but an exhibition.

Speaker 4 (30:32):
But I mean, what do we expect from Jake Paul.
It's all he's done. He fights old ass dudes, and
this is exactly how it goes. The one time he
fought a boxer his same build, same height, same weight,
same age, he lost, Well it was actual boxer he lost.

Speaker 5 (30:45):
He lost Tommy Fury.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
If he actually boxes like one of the top five
contenders of the heavy he won't have a chance. No
he I mean just and no disrespect him, but he won't.
He'll get it. And I mean's twenty seven. Well he's
in the prime of his career. But there's just a
different mentality. Did you see him? All respect to him, Yeah,
you see.

Speaker 5 (31:03):
How many people were at at and T Stadium for that.
Damn almost eighty grants, almost eighty thousand people.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
They didn't expect an exhibition. Now you got your money's
worth on the on the on the prefile, the now
you know undercard, the undercard exactly pre fight undercard and
the truth is the the ladies that was that was
like a co main event because they earned Oh yeah,
I mean that you want to see a fight? They
they got after it. But I guess the whole Netflix
presentation and stuff was weird.

Speaker 4 (31:29):
Yeah, dude, what and why what the presentation and the
actual broadcast of the the what's the chick's name from?

Speaker 13 (31:38):
Why that?

Speaker 6 (31:38):
What is?

Speaker 5 (31:39):
Give her off the broadcast?

Speaker 2 (31:41):
What I didn't? I was like, is it just a
guest appearance? But she was there be analysis during the fight.
I'm like, okay. And then when they had Holyfield and Lewis,
I mean Lennox Lewis, why they didn't take Holyfield and
stick him next to the host on that side because
it was loud and all that, and it was like,
you guys gonna and Lennux Lewis is kind of funny.

(32:01):
He was like, hey, did you buy Here's what they
want to know? Do you bite Tyson? You think Tyson
will bite his ear?

Speaker 6 (32:05):
Good?

Speaker 2 (32:06):
And just he wasn't even asking of what they She said, well,
can you ask Vander this? It was just the whole.

Speaker 5 (32:12):
Pre production entertainer, Come on, man, why are we listening to.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
Jerry and Michael Irvin were doing it too. I understand.
I mean they're and they're at their building, and I
understand having him as guests and guess analysts. But I
was like, I wanted That's why I wanted to I
wanted to feel like Marv Albert and the fight doctor
Freddy Pacheco. Right, that's what I wanted it to feel like.

Speaker 4 (32:33):
Well, you you had the normal play by play guy,
the one that's that's uh, I forgot his name, but
he was there, and then you had these other two.

Speaker 5 (32:40):
It's like, what are we doing? What is this?

Speaker 2 (32:44):
And who is the Well it takes an hour and
a half in between every.

Speaker 5 (32:48):
And we wait.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
When you're waiting that long, you expect to fee a
full blown heavyweight fist fight. Yeah, and you saw we
didn't get that waiting all that time. But listen, I
get you know, money people, I mean they made a
lot of money, but Netflix, I don't think that was
a win for Netflix on the streaming side. No, the
financial side it was, But I just I would have
loved to see Tyson let it rip. Yeah, but he's

(33:09):
fifty eight. He made it. He made it eight rounds,
but he got the bag Yeah, I just wonder what
it would have been like if he'd have been if
he said no, no, you keep the money. I'm going
to nockum what would have been. And I'm not taking
anything away from Jake Paul, but you didn't get Mike
Tyson's best. No, you didn't even at fifty eight years old.
And there's plenty of fifty eight year olds that can
whip a twenty five or twenty seven year old's ass.

Speaker 5 (33:27):
And a wise man once told me, you never go
broke taking a profit.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
You don't. And that's a sixty million dollars And I'm
sure that you know they get some receipts from the
building too. But what Paul made forty and he made
twenty something like that, Yeah, it's a good, good, good
sixteen minutes worth of work.

Speaker 4 (33:42):
Yeah, exactly, that's not a bad pay day, not a
bad payday. Talking about Netflix too, There's there's two NFL
games on on Christmas Day on Netflix and the Texans
are one of them. So they better figure that that
damn server situation. Now, let's continue to talk Texas as
they take on the Cowboys tonight Monday Night Football. Let's
hear from offense according to Bobby's slogan, you talked about
the second half struggles.

Speaker 5 (34:02):
That's next.

Speaker 1 (34:06):
The Shawn Salisbury Show continues.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
They need no now, you know, welcome back after Hammy.
Did you get sound treatment on your hammy?

Speaker 6 (34:16):
Yeah? I did. I did.

Speaker 5 (34:17):
Got some stem.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
Stem a little stem heat yeah and heat ice heat
ice right right, you got to rotate. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (34:24):
They were good. Yeah, wedding was good.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (34:28):
My best man speech went well.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
They still married. They are yeah, still married. Where are
they going on their moon? They're not going on honeymoon really? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (34:36):
Saving the money, Well they can actually.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
Run right over to Denny's and get a moon over
my Hammi and cons you know what I'm saying. Hmmm yeah,
well good grabs, your your your home. Sam and Lindsey, Yeah, yep,
Sam and Lizzie great. None did you say Lizzy Lindy Oh,
Lindsay Oh they said Lizzie.

Speaker 5 (34:57):
No, Lindsay say Oh. I thought you were gonna make
a Lizzo joke.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
No, not at all. I was Sam and Lizzo. I
just say good, yeah, good for them because it turned
out well.

Speaker 4 (35:07):
I saw a meme over the weekend of Mike Tyson's
Bare ass Uh He's basically wearing the same type outfit
that Lizzo was wearing at one point.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
Nice cutter, and it was like that was said, they're
all the bam. Tyson's just walking across with the with
a belt on or whatever the hell that back brak.
It's like, it's like what the boxers wear for their right. Yeah,
it's essentially just it's basically a harness with the jockstraps
what it is. And Tyson's like, but would you have

(35:35):
one of those home?

Speaker 6 (35:35):
Though?

Speaker 5 (35:35):
Don't you two of them? Don't you work with the gym?

Speaker 2 (35:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (35:39):
I keep one at my locker at the gym. That's right, Yeah,
put it on.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
Sometimes they just prayed around the locker room and just
see if the fellows will check the out well, and then.

Speaker 5 (35:46):
I go to it's not you somebody else?

Speaker 2 (35:49):
Yeah, what usually is they're just butt ass naked. So yeah,
how about Tyson? It's like, wow, that gout of nowhere? Nice? Yeah,
I mean good. He was focused on the fight, apparently
didn't care d the camera people.

Speaker 4 (36:04):
Could you imagine spending all that money to go to
that damn fight and then and then watching the result. No,
I can't, Like there was a two million dollars suite
right next to the ring.

Speaker 5 (36:17):
It was like a little box and ring.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
It was sweet, like high back leather was a high
back leather chair. Oh, they do in style. But the
fight was the least of the well, that was the
worst fight of the of the night. Yeah, but listen,
I love Mike Tye. It doesn't do anything that Mike doesn't.
But you when they said fourteen ounce gloves, you had
to know that we were in for something different.

Speaker 4 (36:39):
Unfortunately, man, Jerry's like, hey, you know, this ain't going
to be the only bad performance this week. We got
the Texans on Monday night. We're going to play it
at Super's going to start at quarterback.

Speaker 2 (36:51):
We're going to do it like we always do. We're
going to play this season as an exhibition, kind of
like Mike and and and Jake Jacob did Paul.

Speaker 5 (36:58):
In all seriousness.

Speaker 4 (37:00):
Yeah, Jerry Jones said said to the fans during the
offseason that we're all in.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
Yeah it looks like it. Yeah, yeah, it really looks
like it. And a Jara Yeah, I mean convince me
you're all in. And that Zeke Elliott was your big
get in the offseason, all into what we went and
got n getting the top five picks in next year's draft.

Speaker 5 (37:24):
We got Mingo at the trade deadline. Sean, Okay, if
we don't put enough respect on Mingo, do it.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
Man. All this and there's still this one little part
of me that says, please don't let the Texans. Dude,
there's no way stub there hate. I hate that phrase,
stubbed their toe. Please don't let the Texans. But also
I play good football tonight in that same breath coming
in here, if that were to happen to be, like,
come on, it can't be a twenty four to seven win.

(37:52):
It's got to be like forty five to six. Now,
they'll take what everything get, but you want to walk
out of their thing. And that was a you'd love
it to be, feel like you did Detroit yesterday exactly.

Speaker 5 (38:01):
That's exactly what a half.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Time to be, like, hey man, now we're just we're
stat padding in the second half, and then we're gonna
get some people from working in about the beginning, about
four minutes in into the fourth quarter, Davis Mills here,
you go there. But even when Davis Mills comes in,
still let it work. Why wouldn't you? Yeah, third and
four and you want to throw it, throw it, yeah,
no problem with it.

Speaker 4 (38:19):
Can't it cannot be a game where look, I'll take
a w however it comes believe if you have to,
if you want.

Speaker 2 (38:25):
Yeah, but it.

Speaker 5 (38:26):
Can't be one of those just sluggish.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
Yeah, team to thirteen win on a walk off field goal. Okay, no,
please don't let that be the case.

Speaker 5 (38:35):
Right yeah, God, you.

Speaker 4 (38:38):
Know, hey, Look, they played, they played hard last night,
and sometimes you just don't win in the National Football League.

Speaker 2 (38:46):
Sometimes you you're all in and you give up forty
points a night.

Speaker 4 (38:50):
I want to see them dominate, like I want to
see them win forty five to six.

Speaker 2 (38:53):
That'd be great, that would be fun. Then we can
get to bed early.

Speaker 4 (38:56):
Yes, exactly, so it's not twelve threights. Right, yeah, I'm
with you. Might might need a nap today, really no,
not'm e you Oh never, rare rare brother, I'm not
a big nap guy. Went and saw anybody out there,
then it's going to Austin. Go to Teddy's restaurant. My
son's new there you go. He's got what they're four
now and building. He's building a dog on empire. But

(39:18):
he's a managing partner and done. Go go Teddies.

Speaker 2 (39:21):
We went to the soft opening for family and friends,
and I was so proud of him Saturday. He was
in his element. So go see that place right there
in Austin. It's called Teddy's, just like it sounds, and
they got a great thing going on. I think you'll
love it.

Speaker 5 (39:32):
Let's go. Yeah, it's a great place, so let's go
check it out. Great Austin. Great to see my boy
in his element. There you go, go for you many
grass to your son. That's that's a big time. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
Proud of them. These kids are good kids.

Speaker 4 (39:43):
Let's get into the seven o'clock hour talk about second
half adjustments. Offensive coordator Bobby Slow talked about it. We'll
hear his audio and discuss next seven one three, two,

Speaker 1 (40:29):

Speaker 5 (40:37):
Talk to Tom. Tom Good morning, Good morning sir, how
are you. We're good man? What's on your mind?

Speaker 14 (40:43):
Well, I'm on forty five going back to Houston.

Speaker 7 (40:47):
I was literally in Dallas.

Speaker 14 (40:50):
My wife calls me at four am and lets me know.

Speaker 5 (40:53):
That her water broke.

Speaker 14 (40:54):
Oh, so I am missing the game. And so me
and a bunch of guys that I served with, we
we've been playing in this trip. Uh so you know,
great sideline seats everything. Man, four o'clock this morning, wake up.
My wife is telling me to get my butt home.
So I'm on the way home.

Speaker 5 (41:12):
I have no issue with that.

Speaker 14 (41:13):
I donated the tickets, but imagine a group of middle age,
overweight guys trying to help me bring my luggage to
the to the valet.

Speaker 5 (41:24):
At Lowe's Hotel. So you know, we're right across the
street from Jerry World.

Speaker 6 (41:28):
So yeah, man, it's.

Speaker 5 (41:31):
Is this your first? Is this your first kid?

Speaker 15 (41:34):
No, it's not third, exactly my third daughter. Yeah, girl
infantry curse. So I'm a yeah girl, dad infantry curse.
But yeah, no, I just thought y'all would find it hilarious.
But I will definitely say just sideline reporting. I was
there for the traveling Texans.

Speaker 5 (41:51):
We are deep guys.

Speaker 7 (41:53):
They cut off the tailgate to.

Speaker 14 (41:55):
Four hundred tickets and we literally took over the entire
Texas Live area. It's going to be a home game, gentlemen,
and we're all wearing battle rent so we can stand out.

Speaker 4 (42:05):
Hey, Tom, before before you get out of here, a
great story and congratulations man. Yeah uh you said you
served what what branch?

Speaker 14 (42:14):
I was in the army from two thousand and five
to twenty seventeen. I got out, I wanted to continue serving,
so I actually became a lawyer. I don't really want
to say who I'm with, but yeah, that's that's me.
So you know, just you know, a long time hardcore
Texans fan. I used to remember watching you all while

(42:35):
I was overseas on the the APO or AFO network.
So ya, that's the one good thing about being over
there is we got all the games and they would
play y' all on loop constantly.

Speaker 4 (42:46):
So yeah, well, Tom, we appreciate you calling. Sorry you're
going to miss that game, but congratulations daughter.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
If you're going to miss a game, it's yeah, cong man.
Congratulations your wife and a and a healthy child. Man,
that's awesome.

Speaker 14 (43:02):
Thank you guys all have a wonderful day. I'm gonna
hang up and keep listening to y'all.

Speaker 2 (43:05):
You're going to keep me.

Speaker 5 (43:06):
Company for the next three hours. Let's go. Tom safe
travels back man right now.

Speaker 2 (43:10):
If he's got three hours to go, he's somewhere just
outside of Corsicana.

Speaker 5 (43:14):
Yeah, right south headed southbound.

Speaker 12 (43:18):
Ye.

Speaker 4 (43:18):
Do you imagine getting up there with all your boys,
all the guys you served with, Hey, get.

Speaker 5 (43:24):
Your ass back home my water prone Yeah.

Speaker 2 (43:27):
Well, guess what the fellows all of a sudden say,
we're gonna have to get just another excuse to plan
another trip.

Speaker 5 (43:32):
Yeah, true, another trip.

Speaker 2 (43:34):
It's the celebration of the third child now when you
go back. But I love it too. He's calling him
and he said there's poisonous voice too. It's like, oh,
fe was gonna be okay?

Speaker 5 (43:44):
Well if he served, Yeah, I think he's just fun.

Speaker 6 (43:46):
Mom.

Speaker 2 (43:47):
Mom was like, what's the don't be so casual, get
your ass home. But what a great through And Tom,
thanks for sharing, man. I think that is freaking so awesome.

Speaker 4 (43:56):
And he said he donated the tickets, so there's another
good dude.

Speaker 2 (43:59):
Man's team is gonna win. I mean meaning that's me.
You know what I'm saying the kids, you know, Yeah, no,
I'm saying, good Tom, it is it is your daughters
will be grateful. One day he said, I said no
to football. Yes, this water break. And you know he
you know you're thinking, okay, last night he probably was
with out with the fellas this weekend and you know,

(44:21):
having a beer some last, staying up late, talking stories,
right like we all do with our buddies. And then
that wake up call this morning. You're like that when
you're when mama tells you about to have another child,
it's like, uh, energy goes through the roof. And he said,
so tired goes out the window. My thing is impressive
that Mama even gave him latitude to go when the

(44:43):
waters to break.

Speaker 4 (44:45):
Yeah, that shows a lot, what a star. That's a
lot of character right there. Yeah, lets let your husband.

Speaker 6 (44:50):
Go up there.

Speaker 2 (44:50):
Yeah, hey, who knows, but you better be prepared to
put into all twelve.

Speaker 4 (44:54):
You can go, you can go, but just know you
get the call, you're asked better get back here.

Speaker 2 (45:01):
And what a nice haul pass she gave him. But
then get your butt back hold.

Speaker 4 (45:05):
And then also I hope that the daughter that he's
about to have in the future, like when her either
when she's going to prom or going homecoming, or her
first boyfriend comes over to take her on a date.
I hope when he answers that door, he tells this guy, hey.

Speaker 2 (45:18):
Look, you know what I get. Yeah, you know what
I gave up, son? And then the mom was at
the background and said, what you gave up? Okay, look, man,
let me talk to you real quick. Exactly.

Speaker 4 (45:27):
I missed the Texans and Cowboys Monday night football game
to see her birth.

Speaker 5 (45:32):
You mess with her, I break you.

Speaker 2 (45:33):
Just it's a little bit like that. It's a little
bit like the Den of Thieves. Yes, garage meeting fifty
in the group, ye, scaring that kid to death put
his pocket square into Yeah it was. That was a
really good movie. But uh, just that scenario. So Tom,

(45:54):
good luck, be safe man, and congrats to you and
your wife. I think that's a freaking great story.

Speaker 5 (45:58):
It's awesome.

Speaker 2 (46:00):
Talk your Monday of the week. It'll be epick right.

Speaker 5 (46:01):
Yeah, no doubt, Sam Senior, what's happening, mister Brian?

Speaker 16 (46:07):
Hey, I just want to thank you for being part
of a great weekend.

Speaker 13 (46:10):
Man.

Speaker 2 (46:12):
It was a hell of a time. S This is
the groom's dad. Yeah, congratulations to you, sir.

Speaker 16 (46:20):
Thank you and Sean. His his speech was the best
speech I think or toast I've ever heard.

Speaker 2 (46:27):
Awesome, awesome, give.

Speaker 13 (46:30):
Him props for that all day.

Speaker 16 (46:31):
I hate I hated to be the person who had
to speak after him, because I don't think it would
have been really hard to talk after that.

Speaker 2 (46:39):
That's that's what a good best man is supposed to do.
That's great news. Congratulations to you and your family.

Speaker 16 (46:45):
Sam, Well, we appreciate it. Thanks and hey Brian, keep
in touch, you know, and we'll.

Speaker 2 (46:51):
Talk to you soon.

Speaker 4 (46:52):
Thank you, Sam Senior, and congratulations And I was honored
to be a part of all your family's big day
over the weekend. And the hospital to you guys provided
for us was was unbelievable, Sam, So I really truly
appreciate it, Love you guys, and thank you for everything.

Speaker 5 (47:07):
Thank you, Sam.

Speaker 2 (47:08):
Happy pops man. Huh Yeah, that's awesome. Good nice.

Speaker 4 (47:13):
Oh yeah, I was speaking in front of people is
kind of what we do, you know, even though we're
behind a microphone and radio station like when you and
I am c the the sci Fi is SD Police
Department back the badge that we do every year, right,
me and you got rolling and it was nothing right,
And uh, I was nervous for this one.

Speaker 6 (47:33):
I was.

Speaker 5 (47:34):
I stressed about it.

Speaker 4 (47:34):
The day before, I went out to the beach, sat
down on the beach, right in front of the waves,
and I wrote my speech, put on some country music,
got the speech done finally, then I could let lose
the academy. Dude, it was it was, it was. It
was nerve wreckre you nervous because I wanted it to
like when I was writing it. So I've made one
other best man speech part of this. My best friend

(47:55):
Josh I did his, uh, his best man speech, and
I rehearsed that in my mind for months and months
and months, but I didn't write anything down. So I
did everything off the off the off the top of
my head, from the heart. This this time around, I
still rehearsed it for months and months and months, but
I didn't write anything until like an hour before we
had to start getting ready. So I was nervous that

(48:16):
I forget something. I wanted to have a good balance
of humor but also a good balance of emotional sentimental stuff,
and I also wanted to make sure that I did
more than just saying oh, hey to the bride, Hey,
lindsay you look beautiful walking down the aisle. I wanted
to like make a personal so I just wanted to
make sure it was good. And it was a little
bit I felt like going into I was like, man,
I hope this isn't too long. But I was like,

(48:37):
you know what, forget that, man, I'm the best man,
Like I'm going to tell my story. And so when
I finally got it done, I was like, okay, and
it went really well. Like it was. It was very well.
Like my opinion just just asked me it was well written.
But I got a lot of compliments afterwards. Prepared for it,
I almost I had to take it. Literally had to
take a step back at one point because I was
I got super emotional.

Speaker 2 (48:57):
But yeah, man, it went with somebody. You're giving that
best man speech, You're supposed to have emotion. That's that's
one of the pivotal moments in that kid's life.

Speaker 5 (49:07):
Dropped an F bomb in there too.

Speaker 2 (49:09):
Well, that probably gonna have to sit you down, b.

Speaker 5 (49:13):
Jackass in there too.

Speaker 2 (49:14):
I have to sit you down. Probably just a small fine. Yeah,
popping bottles got pop bottles. No good for you, man,
You know the room. That's why. I mean, you know
what you're allowed to let loose with and there you
go and Pop's validated. Yeah, that's awesome. I'm glad it
was great for you. And if you weren't nervous a
little bit or didn't care, then you shouldn't have been

(49:35):
the best man.

Speaker 5 (49:35):
Right, that's a good thing. It's a good trip though.

Speaker 2 (49:39):
Yeah, I bet it was.

Speaker 5 (49:40):
Did you guys manage OK on Friday? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (49:42):
The show is actually one of our best. Was you know,
disco Dan came in and did his thing. What do
we do? Is it Danny Danny ballgame? We called day? Yeah,
like Danny fit right in. We were hoping that you

(50:04):

mean you can't go back to back.

Speaker 5 (50:09):

get hurt.

Speaker 2 (50:12):
Yeah, I'll tell you who else got got hurt. There's
a shock, shock of the year hurt.

Speaker 5 (50:19):

little choir mixed in with maybe a seventy year old
woman and an eighty year old guy and then a
forty year old come tusion. Yeah, Zion's hurt. The Trainer's
got to come to Zion. Get it fixed.

Speaker 4 (51:01):

just wanted to thank them. I didn't get this Friday

(51:56):

Speaker 18 (56:46):
Well that's twenty five you got, you got, you got
vacation days.

Speaker 6 (56:49):
Then you don't have to burn up any persons.

Speaker 4 (56:51):
I've already burned through, burn through all of mine. I've
been on more batter parties and weddings. You know, I've
had my fair share of all that this year. Your
I don't need to go on one for the rest
of my life. I'm tired of him.

Speaker 18 (57:05):
Hey, seriously, this is no kidd You know what, bron
there is no.

Speaker 5 (57:09):
Kid man handed guy.

Speaker 18 (57:11):
I met my wife when I was thirty two, thirty
thirty one.

Speaker 6 (57:16):
You know where I met my wife up.

Speaker 5 (57:18):
A wedding and we were.

Speaker 18 (57:21):
Both standing in the wedding. We were both I was
a groonsman, she was.

Speaker 6 (57:24):
A bride man. And that's where I met my wife.
I spent all that money on clubs and this.

Speaker 18 (57:32):
Yeah, keep you out open man, you'll find one.

Speaker 4 (57:36):
So so John, before before you got married, Hey John,
before you got married? What what did your ex husband think?

Speaker 6 (57:43):
Hey?

Speaker 18 (57:43):
You funny?

Speaker 5 (57:47):
Got his ass letter?

Speaker 2 (57:48):
John? No time to respond, nothing.

Speaker 5 (57:54):
Got the call off? All right, real quick for the steak.
If you're staking, what are we doing?

Speaker 2 (58:01):
Get you? Get your game off? Love?

Speaker 6 (58:06):
John?

Speaker 5 (58:07):
For the stakeout question.

Speaker 4 (58:08):
Uh, it's time to put respect on the Pittsburgh Steelers name.
They beat the raven Sean without scoring a touchdown, sickfield
goals Mike Tomlin one of the greatest of all time.

Speaker 2 (58:20):
Oh, I don't say. As far as sustained consistency, there's
no question, there's absolutely no quick doesn't matter who the
roster is, finds a way to get it done. And
the Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson when they play Pittsburgh.
It's the same when Lamar plays and then Baltimore plays Cincinnati,
they own him. Pittsburgh's running rough shot over Baltimore, and

(58:43):
they did it again close game. When I say run
all over, it's just the consistency of the way they've
played and they've given Lamar Jackson fits when they've played
against him. Two really good defenses, two really solid football teams.
I still think Baltimore can you know, win the whole thing.
But we still for a team that's doume what Pittsburgh's doing.

(59:04):
Why is it taking so much for us to talk?
I mean not us, but then that it's like they're
almost like we're still treading, like, well, are really that good?
And if if you're wondering, just look at the result
of the way they're getting after it on defense. They're
doing enough on offense, and Baltimore is a tough to
that's tough to. They're tough to beat and tough to
score on. Yeah, the Pittsburgh Steelers can win the whole thing.

(59:25):
They absolutely can win the whole thing. And Mike Toma
made another right decision by playing Russell Wilson. He didn't
have he wasn't there were the statistics weren't gaudy, right.
The one thing Russell Wilson's not doing as much. Did
I think that he's going to have to do a
little more in January or as the season rolls on?
Is there a couple of times when you know, the

(59:45):
old Russell Wilson stepped out of stuff, did the sack stuff.
And I know he's along and you know they brought
in fields to run some runs at the end of
the game in certain situations. But Russe Wilson's doing a
great job of just keeping people even though they didn't
score touchdown. He's really bought into what Mike Mike Thomas
teaching men. Pittsburgh's impressive and they got such a great

(01:00:08):
fan base and they are physical or thing two. Yeah,
one thing you're never gonna lack with them. They will
knock you around, man, and they do it every single week.

Speaker 5 (01:00:16):
They are eight and two.

Speaker 4 (01:00:17):
And when you look at the offense for Pittsburgh, Russell
Wilson twenty three of thirty six, two hundred and five
yards passing, no touchdowns, one interception.

Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
But efficient twenty three to thirty six, high high percentage completion,
not a lot of huge plays, but enough to keep
them in field goal range and at least come away
with points.

Speaker 4 (01:00:36):
And then you look over at Lamar Jackson and the
numbers are eerily similar outside of a couple of completions.
He was sixteen to thirty three, two hundred and seven yards,
one touchdown, one interception. Quarterback ratings for both of them
Lamar Jackson sixty six, Russell Wilson sixty seven and a half.

Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
And Justin Tucker's struggles continues. Yeah, one of three, so
one of the most consistent. Well, he's kickers of all time.
He's actually put up a side you know, Adam VINITII
is pretty impressive, right, yeah, I mean who I think?
I think Vinitary is a Hall of Famer. I do.

Speaker 5 (01:01:09):
I don't know how you feel, Adam, Yeah, Oh, he's
a Hall of Famer.

Speaker 2 (01:01:13):
I think so. And Justin Tucker's put up Hall of
Fame numbers. But he is struggling right now. And those
two field goals ended up being part of the difference.
And normally he's automatic. Right, You rarely go into a
game think get okay, advantage in the kicking game somebody else.
This year, it's different.

Speaker 4 (01:01:31):
Really is crazy to see that because he has been
so automatic. Yep, let's let's get to break. We'll get
back to talking Texans in the second half. Adjustments that
have to be made tonight against the cowboys maroos leik.

Speaker 5 (01:01:42):
And where do I go?

Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
Yeah, well, you're going to go to Country Boys Roofing.
Our guy John who calls you desert him great guy,
and he'll come make sure you're taking care of their
you know, Texas windstorms certified and thousand dollars discount for

and Country Boys Roofing wants you safe and sound and secure.

take a look at that full roof. And those discounts
are real and awesome. And you can call them at
eight three two seven three one fifty six twenty as
well eight three two seven three one fifty six twenty.
Tell them I sense you no job too large or
too small to'll go anywhere in the Houston area. So
if you're struggling, you're wondering value with your roof, or

(01:02:47):

just need it fixed, why not go to the best

struggling with a roof that needs fixed, why would anybody
price gouge you. That's the time to help. And that's

Speaker 1 (01:03:07):

Let's talk to Adrian. Yo, Adrian, what's up.

Speaker 14 (01:04:26):
Right?

Speaker 1 (01:04:26):
What's going on?

Speaker 6 (01:04:27):
Man?

Speaker 20 (01:04:27):
So I see you back and you see I'm back, baby,
First dame question for you and the rest of the
guys in there over under.

Speaker 2 (01:04:37):
Who's got more rest days this year? Anthony dad conversation man, welcome, hold.

Speaker 4 (01:04:48):
Back, welcome back, welcome back, well come back. Uh, Anthony
Davis and Zion Williamson will have more than me.

Speaker 1 (01:04:57):
Oh good lord, let's not even talk about that.

Speaker 6 (01:04:59):
We'd be excusing in that conversation.

Speaker 5 (01:05:01):
There ain't no doubt about that man.

Speaker 6 (01:05:03):
Anyway.

Speaker 20 (01:05:03):
Biscuit turned me onto the Rockets. He said something last weekend.
I had been avoiding them, but I watched them this weekend.
Y'all ain't on that wagon. You better get on because
they plan, uh you know, like their coaches attitude and
boy who it's something to see. Let me tell you
now on the what you guys were talking about. I'm

(01:05:23):
out here chilling, waiting on my farmers, and so I
was like, ump, I'll call.

Speaker 1 (01:05:27):
Second half adjustments.

Speaker 6 (01:05:29):
Sean, you've been in the locker room. We all know this.

Speaker 5 (01:05:33):
Is it a coaching swagger.

Speaker 20 (01:05:36):
Payers not playing attention ego.

Speaker 2 (01:05:40):
Second half.

Speaker 7 (01:05:41):
They have been shut.

Speaker 20 (01:05:43):
Out like roy olswalk on around playing the Angels back
in the day.

Speaker 6 (01:05:49):
I mean just shut.

Speaker 20 (01:05:51):
Out and uh, second half adjustments. Here's one for you, Bobby, slowey,
how about first work fifteen plays.

Speaker 5 (01:06:02):
We're going to run the two minute drill.

Speaker 20 (01:06:04):
That'll be an adjustment for everybody, and it'll catch everybody
off guard.

Speaker 2 (01:06:09):
Have a good day, fellas.

Speaker 20 (01:06:10):
I'll be listening, of course, Oh damn, because my pharmacist.
Now all right, fellas, And for the rest of y'all, hey.

Speaker 2 (01:06:16):
Appreciate Adrian like a good traveling pharmacist. It'll meet you anywhere.

Speaker 21 (01:06:23):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:06:24):
The the adjustments, even in a game like tonight, you think, well,
do they have to make a lot of adjustments to cowboyes?
It's still pro football? And the question, you know, like
ceedee lamb, we're not sure if he's gonna play or not.
Mike McCarthy expects him to play. He's a formidable player.
You may see two quarterbacks for them, Trey Lance with
a package. I just to me adjustments And it's it's

(01:06:46):
we've heard, you know, coaches say this. We talked about
it last week, Adrian is it's not some like just
see I mean you know this, but some come to
Jesus thing that you walk in at halftime and all
of a sudden, the miracle's written on a whiteboard. It's
really they're really subtle adjustments. You're not changing everything you
do regardless of the first half. Now, some adjustments are

(01:07:08):
bigger than others. If you can't block somebody and the
guy that can't block somebody can't block them every time
you drop back, then you either better put a second
guy there, you better replace that guy. That's an adjustment
I have to make it times. But the adjustment of okay,
we haven't had success running it on third and three,
let's mix in, you know, is the screen game. So
those adjustments subtle but important. There is absolutely no question

(01:07:29):
that in the NFL. To me, it is an adjustment.
The game is a game of adjustments and play play
by play. But when you come out a second half,
say they're going to do this, because what inevitably happens
if all of a sudden we start hitting stuff because
they're doing the same thing in the first half they
did the second, they're going to adjust on their sideline.
You'd hope whoever that team is, you know, and you're

(01:07:49):
a fan of that team. So adjustments, I think a
lot of going into your game plan, you watch tape
and say, okay, we can execute this. Now you may
have to change a few things, but they're not really
a lot of whole sell stuff. And so while it's
on the coach and incumbent upon the staff to make
sure you are calling that and putting it in best
position to give a team a chance, the best position
to succeed and win, it's also on the players. An

(01:08:11):
adjustment may simply mean attitude, A step here, a step there,
make sure you get your hands in the right position,
don't be a here, all those things that adjustments. You
know what adjustments really stem from your all week long study. Okay,
that it looks different than maybe I thought it was
going to look. So here's my adjustment. Subtle, But those
two or three subtle adjustments in a game absolutely are

(01:08:33):
the difference. It's rare you go into a game and
everything is like this is easy today, or you like
get through a game like they're doing every single thing
we thought they'd do on Now that's a problem for
that team, right, So subtle adjustments, they'll have to make them.
Even in a Cowboy game where there the Cowboys are
out manning this game, you will have to make adjustments.
And I hope going into this this is a springboard

(01:08:54):
of adjustments and adaptions to and adapt to what you
do best and have a Nico column and the Cowboys
are going to have to make more adjustments going into
the game than the Texans are.

Speaker 5 (01:09:04):
Yeah, and then of course the endgame adjustments.

Speaker 2 (01:09:06):
Which to me are and they're subtle because at twelve
minute halftime, you know a few minutes on the sideline
quick change turnover. But adjustments that have to be made
you ego and square peg, round hole have to come
out of your mind, and you have to lose those
thoughts even when you're doing going well while you're also

(01:09:26):
thinking about games ahead. You got two touchdown lead, Well,
let's put something on tape to give somebody else to
think about a week from now. Right, you do those things.
If you don't, you're not thinking ahead like you're supposed
to do.

Speaker 5 (01:09:37):
No, No, And.

Speaker 2 (01:09:39):
They haven't done a great job of doing that in
the second half of football games offensively this year.

Speaker 4 (01:09:42):
It's exactly what I was going to say, is it's
been shown over the last five weeks these second half
adjustments have not been there for the Texans for whatever reason.
We got to continue to discuss these second half adjustments
and what Bobby Slope needs to do with this offensive
play calling. It against a lesser Cowboys team, but it's
the NFL. Everyone's getting paid. Still got to figure out.

(01:10:04):
Let's talk about it next sport Stok seven to eighty.

Speaker 1 (01:10:08):
But The Shawn Salisbury Show continued.

Speaker 4 (01:10:13):
Talked about those second half adjustments. This is what coach
Slok had to say.

Speaker 22 (01:10:20):
I mean, I think we all know in the second half,
for probably the last five weeks or so, we've you know,
we've struggled, and this is one of those things when
you look at I mean, I think I think we
haven't scored a touchdown like nineteen straight second half possessions,
and honestly, like.

Speaker 5 (01:10:37):
Our approach is football is football.

Speaker 22 (01:10:43):
And what I mean when I say this is when
we when we dissect it, because we've known about it
for three, four or five weeks now, when you really
dive in and you're like, okay, what's going on? Is
something off with the play calls? Are they doing something different?
Are we doing something different? What's happening?

Speaker 2 (01:11:00):
It's football?

Speaker 22 (01:11:01):
Like it's the exact same as it was in the
first half. We're not operating and executing the same and
that's kind of been something that we've been going back
and forth on as an offense really for a couple
of weeks now. Then ultimately I think it's it's one
of those things where you keep doing the same thing
and you're operating the same way, things aren't working out

(01:11:23):
in your favor, and then even though there may not
be necessarily a mental roadblock, it becomes a mental roadblock.

Speaker 5 (01:11:29):
And that's kind of what we're working through. And I
think we're all in.

Speaker 22 (01:11:33):
The right space and have a right intent and what
we're gonna do when we come out in the second
half going forward and be on the same page. I mean, yeah,
you always anytime you're not successful, I think as anybody
you know what I mean, I know the players do
when you're not successful and you know you can be
you know you can be better. I know I could
be better.

Speaker 5 (01:11:54):
That's always something you strive to improof. And that's uh.

Speaker 4 (01:11:58):
Bobby Slow speaking of the media, I believe that was
on Friday talking about those second half adjustments.

Speaker 5 (01:12:03):
You talked about intent Sean.

Speaker 2 (01:12:05):
He also stated about you know, he thinks it's more
between the years than physical and not basically what he said,
the mental grind. I mean that you start to for
five weeks though, well, that's got to be fixed. Well,
if it is mental, then that may be tougher to
fix in the physical part. Yeah, so they got what
they need is they need to blowout dominant second half

(01:12:26):
win and we're the execution And now what will happen
though is has been well they did against the Cowboys.
Can they do it next week in the following week?
We've seen them executed. But he is right. I know
it sounds so basic. Teams do not have time, folks,
just so you know, to go in at halftime and crap.
Can their entire game plan that they spent hours I'm

(01:12:48):
talking about sixteen eighteen hours a day putting in and
then all of a sudden if things are going bad
in the first half, where you just say, you know what,
let's go back to we did in game one against
a different an opponent. You have geared up your game
plan for that opponent and what their tendencies are, and
their analytics and metrics are on tape and with the

(01:13:09):
numbers when you get the print out that says on
second and four in the red zone they play this
coverage eighty five percent of the time. Now, which the
adjustments that you've asked about and Bobby slowk and anybody
else is talking about it's what if they are they
did something, they're doing something that they decided that they
can exploit one of our offensive formations with this coverage,

(01:13:31):
and they've done it, and you didn't prepare for that
because you didn't see it much. Now you've just got
to be a football player and say, okay, they're playing
this coverage on third down, all right, I got to
call plays and then the quarterback you've got to be
able to get us in and out of good place
and be judicious when you have the ball in your hand.
I know it sounds crazy, but you do. And the
one thing you can't do. You can't get free runners.

(01:13:51):
You can't jump off sides, you can't you know, hold guys,
and it's just to play away from you that nobody
has a chance to get to. You can't, you know,
go run, run, run, and your Tennessee's a run, run, run,
a run, run throw on third down. You can't continue
to be third and ten plus in a game, fifty
plus of them this year and win games against good teams,

(01:14:14):
let alone it teams like the Dallas Cowboys, who aren't
very good right now. So adjustments, while minor in the
lot can end up being big. And you said, well,
we made some adjustments. What are those? They're never rarely
are wholesale adjustments made in the game. I'm just telling
you they're not. They're subtle, but to us they look
like they are a sledgehammer to the head when they're

(01:14:35):
done right. Yeah, it really it comes down to and
I know this is going to sound well, Sean, is
it really that detailed as a left tackle, I'm just
using that as an example, or a right tackle. Or
you take the wrong step and that guy's taking an
inside charge and you step out because you are anticipating
that he's going to speed Russia and you're just a

(01:14:55):
half a step slow and Michael Parsons beat you to
the quarterback? Is that a mental thing? Is that a
thing that you didn't did you just lose focus for
we didn't have a good game plan. Though he's done
it a thousand times, this time he didn't end up
in a stripsack fumble. And now the game's change. See
you see the way that that goes, and it does
and then you make the adjustment. So they really could

(01:15:17):
or the receiver's supposed to run a fifteen yard dig
route and feels late, so he shortens it, and the
quarterback misses the throw a little over the guy's head
because he expected fifteen yards in the safety stand back
there and picks it off, or the quarterback anticipated a
certain coverage pre snap, and then post snap had already
made his decision and throws a bender to the mike

(01:15:38):
linebacker who's sitting right in front of him instead of
a checkdown. And then there's six plays. What do I
always say about three players a quarterback in about six
to eight plays a game are usually the difference, unless,
of course, Jacksonville's playing Detroit and you take that ass whooping.
But for the most part, how many games a week
are won by double digits in the NFL? Not rare? Yeah,

(01:15:59):
it's rare, R right. I mean it when I say rare,
it happens. But it doesn't. It's not I can call
every week. No, it does not happen very often. Hints
why there's rarely. I mean, we had some double digit spreads,
but a seven and a half points spread in an
NFL game is like two touchdowns in college football, so
you don't get fourteen. I think fourteen points yesterday with

(01:16:19):
Detroit was the highest spread in a game this season,
I think it was different. I think they went in fourteen.
So there's subtle adjustments and there's only a handful of
plays because you're still gonna do what you put in
all we can do. Adjustments matter, but the preparation of
no one going in execution is more important than adjustments.
Now there, it's the very it's a very parallel to it.
If you're not executing, what do we do? You make

(01:16:42):
adjustments then, but that becomes a player, doesn't Why would
I as a play caller if the guy's five yards
wide open and we're missing throws, or the back's got
his eyes closed, or the left tackle doesn't get out
of his stands. Is that a scheme problem or is
it a player problem? That's a player problem. So both exist.
The problem is they're all hitting player and coach and
adjustments and lack there evan whether it's intensity between the

(01:17:04):
years those are lacking in nineteen consecutive possessions or five
so games where they can't score in the second half touchdowns.
If they don't score a touchdown in the second half
of this game, the game will be close, Oh god,
which sounds pathetic.

Speaker 4 (01:17:17):
Sounds awful. Yeah, it sure does, especially against this this
Cowboys team. Let's continue this discussion on the Houston Texans
taking on the Dallas Cowboys as we beginning of the
eight o'clock hour.

Speaker 2 (01:17:26):
Next, I'm going to take a step out for a second,
our guys, Sean and r J and Dallas. Yeah, I'm
gonna go on for the segment and and tell them
just how good the Texans are here coming into Dallas tonight.

Speaker 5 (01:17:36):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 4 (01:17:37):
We'll continue this discussion next on Sports Talk seven.

Speaker 1 (01:17:39):
To eighty Houston, Houston. I heard radio station and the
Rocket Sports Talk seven ninety your home for your home teams.

Speaker 2 (01:17:57):
Great, right, Houston.

Speaker 6 (01:18:01):
Okay, let's do this.

Speaker 3 (01:18:03):
Sean Salisbury, the USC Truths, longtime friend, Shawn Salisbury.

Speaker 1 (01:18:09):
Bryan Lima, go Lobos. This is the Sean Salsbury.

Speaker 4 (01:18:14):
Show, seven pm tip off, six o'clock launch pad right
here on a seven nine of your home for Rockets, Basketball,
Texans and Cowboys and Monday night football. Speaking of those Rockets,
they improved to ten and four. They dominated last night.
Shngoon had a triple double Van fleet sor twenty eight points.

(01:18:39):
They routed the Bulls one forty three to one oh
seven triple e. Yeah, Oh my goodness, they are playing
really good basketball. Jabari Smith had ten. Every starter was
in double figures.

Speaker 11 (01:18:53):
Yeah, that's what I was just gonna take.

Speaker 4 (01:18:55):
Yep and Thompson coming off the bench with sixteen reed
Shephard the basic white kid twelve points off the bench.
Shout out to reach every get a little playing time.
Uh in that loss, yet he played nineteen minutes of course,
like I said. Schengoon led the way twenty points, eleven assists,
eleven rebounds. Fred van Vliet twenty eight points, seven assists,

(01:19:18):
seven rebounds.

Speaker 5 (01:19:19):
Jalen Green eighteen and four.

Speaker 4 (01:19:22):
Damn dude. They beat the breaks off the Rockets. Excuse me,
The Rockets beat the breaks off the Bulls last night.
Seven one three, two point two five seven ninety is
the number to join biscuit.

Speaker 21 (01:19:34):
What's happening, man, Man, Man, Sean and Lilima. I know
I said eight game improvement. Can I adjust that?

Speaker 5 (01:19:44):
Yeah? You can adjust a big guards man.

Speaker 21 (01:19:47):
Uh huh yeah, Man, and and and this is what
happens when you get a coach. It gets everybody to
play the role and they accept the role. And and
I think last time I talked you guys. That's that
Jabari gonna have to do. Man, the last couple of games,
he's been doing what the coach want to do and
he've been hooping. This team is man shine, this team

(01:20:08):
is boll watch out. They got talent. There's a lot
of lottery picks over there. Man, they got talent. It's
just all about you know, maturity and and doing what
they you know, being consistent and persistent. And that's what
they're doing now.

Speaker 4 (01:20:23):
Yeah, Biscuit, they are, let's see, third in the West
right now, behind Golden State and Oklahoma City by just
a game of Oklahoma City in two games behind Golden State.
What Jalen Green and Alprinshing good leaned the way like,
what they're doing is astounding so far. They are third

(01:20:44):
in the NBA and defense, Biscuit, that's that's that's a
huge improvement.

Speaker 5 (01:20:49):
Third in the NBA so far.

Speaker 21 (01:20:51):
If your pa, look, if you play defense, rebound the ball,
share the ball, you're gonna win some games. And that's
what they doing. Hey, befo, I go the leave and
let me say they're showing that click. They just played
of the of the of the Old Sea of the Texans. Yes, man, translation.

(01:21:12):
This translation is say, man, this ain't no easy fix.
If it was, we'd be the one. We would would
have done it by now. And what he's saying and
shining is it's a lack of focus and it's a
lack of effort on certain plays in the second half.
And he said, were looking at like, man, won't you
try different plays? He looking at It don't matter what

(01:21:33):
I called. They don't do what they're supposed to do.
And so I don't know. This is gonna be interesting
to see how going forward what happens. Man, But that's
what Slugger said. Man, these dudes, Hey, we got some
guys that effort is not consistent for whatever reason, and
we're trying to work through it.

Speaker 4 (01:21:53):
Appreciated, biscuit. Let's keep it going on the phone line
seven one three, Andy, what's happening?

Speaker 8 (01:22:00):
Yeah, you talk about Sloyd. You know, it's a lot
of offensive coordinators. When things are going great, they're great.
When things are going bad, they're horrible. The Baltimore Ravens
have lost four games this year, all of them less
by a touchdown seven or less.

Speaker 13 (01:22:14):
They lost four games.

Speaker 8 (01:22:16):
In those four games, Derrick Henry has carried the ball
thirteen points seventy five times a game for a four point.

Speaker 5 (01:22:24):
Nine yards to carry.

Speaker 8 (01:22:27):
Lamar Jackson has thirty six and a half attempts at
fifty eight.

Speaker 6 (01:22:32):
Percent completion and rate.

Speaker 8 (01:22:36):
You see, this is Bobby Sloyd in this offensive coordinator.
It's it's every offensive coordinator. When things are going great,
they're great. But when it gets when it when they
get old.

Speaker 6 (01:22:48):
Pattern, they screw up. It's almost like the head.

Speaker 8 (01:22:52):
Coach needs to hire somebody to slap them and say,
what are you doing?

Speaker 6 (01:23:00):
I mean, Derrick Henry.

Speaker 8 (01:23:01):
Thirteen point seven five, it wasn't like he was uh
wasn't not getting the artists four point nine yards of carry.
That's the problem with these offensive coordinators. They do not
They go away from what works.

Speaker 6 (01:23:16):
Now.

Speaker 7 (01:23:17):
I can understand if these games.

Speaker 8 (01:23:18):
They were losing by double bitchess, but they lost all
of them by less than seven points.

Speaker 4 (01:23:22):
Does it seem andy, Does it seem like, uh like,
let's just talk about the last five.

Speaker 5 (01:23:26):
Weeks for the Texans.

Speaker 4 (01:23:27):
Doesn't it seem like during the game Bobby Slowk's playbook
kind of closes up and it's like it's only the
same five or six plays, a little bit of different
variations he goes away from what they're working like it
just it just seems like the playbook shuts for whatever reason.

Speaker 8 (01:23:45):
That's why Phil Sim. Do you hear what Phil Sim
said about it?

Speaker 5 (01:23:48):
I must have missed what he says.

Speaker 8 (01:23:50):
He's like on the elementary level of hands.

Speaker 5 (01:23:53):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's right. Yeah we did play that audio.

Speaker 4 (01:23:55):
Yeah yeah, he did say, uh, it's like the uh
the entry he called it entry level Shanahan. That was
not Philims Christims. Yeah, it was all the other we
played last week. Yeah, you're right, Yeah, he said entry
level Shanahan stuff. That's the run run pass, run run pass,
Like what are we doing?

Speaker 8 (01:24:11):
That's like it's like once Collins went out and then
when Diggs went out. But did you watch the charges yesterday?
How how many catches McConkie had, And then you got
this guy named Disley, the tight end. He's been in
the league for five or six years, he had done none.

Speaker 5 (01:24:26):
He had a great game.

Speaker 8 (01:24:27):
You never I mean McConkie catches double digits for like
one hundred and fifty yards.

Speaker 2 (01:24:32):
That tells you.

Speaker 8 (01:24:33):
About how bad the Bengals defense is. But you can't
you can't go away from what you do because you
don't have personnel. You got to trust them. And I'm sorry,
but these these officers of coordinators just when it gets
bad that.

Speaker 2 (01:24:49):
I don't.

Speaker 8 (01:24:50):
It's just, oh, I know, is fluid A less things changes.
Ain't nobody looking for him to be a head coach
next year?

Speaker 2 (01:24:57):
No?

Speaker 4 (01:24:57):
And real quick, Andy, Derrick Henry last night, excuse me,
yesterday afternoon. Thirteen carries sixty five yards. That's an average
of five and you only cared at thirteen times.

Speaker 5 (01:25:05):
Yeah, I know, thirteen times loss.

Speaker 2 (01:25:08):
Yeah, and now.

Speaker 8 (01:25:10):
He fumbled early in the game, but guess why he's
only had three fumbles the entire year. You can live
with that, you don't. You don't go away from your horse.
That's their horse.

Speaker 4 (01:25:21):
Baltimore rushed nineteen total times for one hundred and twenty
four yards. Pittsburgh rushed for thirty four times for one
hundred and twenty two yards. Who won the game The
Pittsburgh Steelers.

Speaker 5 (01:25:31):
Crazy.

Speaker 6 (01:25:31):
Yeah, and Pittsburgh.

Speaker 8 (01:25:32):
Pittsburgh was running because they was eating the clock right.

Speaker 4 (01:25:36):
Appreciate the free stated Andy. Let's talk to Ray. Ray,
what's up.

Speaker 12 (01:25:42):
A morning?

Speaker 13 (01:25:44):
I just got a quick a couple of questions. How
come we're not they're not scheduling like these in state
rivalry games every single year with the Cowboys and the Texans.
I know that they have like certain divisions that they scheduled,
but they could make one or two games and you know,
an in state rivalry game and two on feeding off

(01:26:06):
of that. How come they just don't do that for
like Monday night football games like the Chiefs and the Raiders,
or the Texans and Cowboys or Cowboys and Redskins or
I mean, y'all may not even have an answer to that,
but hopefully tonight secure all for all of our issues.

Speaker 4 (01:26:24):
Yeah, I think appreciate the call Ray when it comes
to how you're scheduling things. That's uh, it's going to
be by division. Obviously, they rotate divisions every single season
for the scheduling obviously out of the conference scheduling, out
of the division scheduling. So that's why you see every
couple of years the Cowboys are back on the Texans schedule.

(01:26:45):
You got the Jets as well, and you know other
teams like that, Commander so forth and so on. Yeah,
I would love to see more of the Cowboys and
Texans play each other. I would love to have have
to see it. I would love to see it every
single season. It is Look, you have four hours away,
so logistics isn't an isn't an issue, you know, and

(01:27:06):
it is a somewhat of a rivalry. I would assume
that Cowboy fans probably feel like they run the state
of Texas. And what do you think, tripley, I mean,
you're a Cowboys guy. M m, no, no, what happened?

Speaker 5 (01:27:17):
They don't run the state of Texas. What do you
mean they don't run the state of Texas. I know
they don't.

Speaker 11 (01:27:21):
As far as marketing, yes, oh yeah, that's about marketing, yes,
But other than that, no.

Speaker 4 (01:27:26):
No, it's not gonna happen. So I would love to
see them play every single year. I would too, Yes,
that would be very entertaining. And also, like when we
looked at the schedule, like this Monday n football game,
I wish they would have played yesterday because I would
have I mean, we could have gone up and watched
that game. But now I think the Lusters lost a
little bit because the Cowboys suck. Dak Prescott's not playing.
Still don't know if cdee Lamb's gonna play.

Speaker 11 (01:27:47):
Yeah, they're gonna They're gonna tank this year for sure.

Speaker 4 (01:27:49):
But I did see I've seen all over the timeline
late yesterday and today it looks like there are gonna
be tons of Texans fans. And our guy Tom that
called in earlier this morning, that's driving back to Houston
from Dallas because his wife's water broke and he's not gonna
be able to send the game. He did say that
if it's going to feel like a home game for
the for the Texans tonight, So yes, yeah, I'm gonna

(01:28:10):
be looking forward to uh watching that game. And uh,
let's just you know, let's see some adjustments made in
the second half. Uh from Bobby slug Nego Collins should
be back in the lineup. Uh, he was off. Excuse me,
he was off the injury report. So having c J.
Stroud's top weapon back in this offensive lineup is going

(01:28:30):
to be good news. Let's let's hear again from Bobby Slowk.
He talked about some some changes. Uh, he talked about
changes in the offense. And uh, he hears the critics
on his offensive struggles. So does he still feel like
the guy will hear him? And we will discuss that
next right here on Sports Talk seven to.

Speaker 1 (01:28:49):
Eighty, the Shawn Salisbury show continued, Hey got here, WRO got.

Speaker 2 (01:28:58):
A couple breaking news stories. Are they really breaking? Yes?
Are they really big?

Speaker 21 (01:29:03):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:29:04):
I mean really yes. I mean let's not for the
Sounder though. Let's be real about it.

Speaker 4 (01:29:08):
The New York Giants are replacing Daniel Jones with Tommy DeVito.

Speaker 5 (01:29:11):
As their news starting quart.

Speaker 2 (01:29:13):
Is it really breaking?

Speaker 5 (01:29:14):
Adam Scheffer recording that this morning.

Speaker 2 (01:29:16):
Yeah, Tommy, Hey, Hey, tell him brandow over again.

Speaker 5 (01:29:23):
Do you know that Brando's got a million lines in
your That's the only one. That's the only one you
need to know, big dog.

Speaker 12 (01:29:30):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:29:30):
And then also, I know this one's gonna cut deep,
especially for you, Sean and your Travels Prevails or Travels
Speared Airlines, oh Man filed for bankruptcy.

Speaker 2 (01:29:42):
Now, is that a shock?

Speaker 5 (01:29:45):
Tough?

Speaker 2 (01:29:46):
Is that a shock?

Speaker 12 (01:29:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:29:48):
That is deep.

Speaker 4 (01:29:49):
I wish I could say what I would really want
to say, but it is awful.

Speaker 2 (01:29:54):
Here's here's what they're gonna do. They're gonna restructure file
bankruptcy structure and maybe get a seat that has a
back on it, maybe off right, maybe they'll have seatbelt
to work.

Speaker 6 (01:30:10):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:30:10):
Spirit is the biggest US budget airline. It has filed
for bankruptcy protection and will attempt to reboot as a
Struggles could tell the recover from the pandemic caused Swoon
and Travel a failed attempt to sell the airline to
Jet Blue. No, no, no, we're not gonna blame it
on the pandemic. Dude, your airline blows.

Speaker 5 (01:30:27):
Yeah, the pandemics built in.

Speaker 2 (01:30:30):
Excuse stop it. The pandemic had nothing to do with
that seatback that doesn't have somebody traveling. Okay, exactly save it.

Speaker 4 (01:30:38):
The pandemic had nothing to do with all the fights
that you see on Spirit airlines between your employees and
passengers passing. The pandemic had nothing to do with the
the seatbelt's not working.

Speaker 2 (01:30:50):
Yeah. The pandemic had nothing to do with the you know,
the fist fights that happened in the hallway outside of
It's like you walk in there, it's like, oh, it's Spirit,
we got a fight, Yes, yeah, it's yeah. It has
nothing to do with people are mad at you if
you're asking for a glass of water. The pend's nothing
to do with people are mad at you on the
airline when your seatbelt doesn't work, but they say, oh
it's cool, you'll be all right, you fly anyway.

Speaker 4 (01:31:11):
Yeah, the pandemic has nothing to do with the engine
blowing up and catching on fire right in front of
your eyes. The pandemic has nothing to do with the
window becoming dislodged in the middle of a flight. It
has nothing to do with it. And oh, by the way,
the pandemic has nothing to do with your knees being

(01:31:33):
into the back of the seat in front of you
because they cram as many seats as possible on that airline.
So no, your airline just sucks.

Speaker 2 (01:31:42):
It is if you're not if you're in a good
mood because you're going somewhere fun and Spirit Airlines is
the airline. It'll make in a bad mood in a hurry. God,
it will make you hate travel.

Speaker 5 (01:31:52):
I've said this story before.

Speaker 4 (01:31:53):
I flew Spirit one time, and I will never ever
ever fly again on Spirit Airlines.

Speaker 2 (01:31:58):
Awful, that's a guarantee. I never will. I'm telling you
I never will ever. So they've they've filed for bankruptcy,
so better. I told you that's just to protect themselves
and then try to they What they need is is
is a Jet Blue or somebody to come in and

(01:32:20):
manage it right and fix all the interior of their
planes and the bullet holes that are flying when they're flying.
That didn't they have one day one of them that
had bullet holes, which being one of the airlines being shot.

Speaker 11 (01:32:34):
At not not internationally, No, South it was the Southwest
and Spirit, those were the two that were international.

Speaker 2 (01:32:41):
Yeah, they just had bullets.

Speaker 4 (01:32:45):
Yeah, why you find yeah, why do you find Spirit
to uh? Or is it Dominican Republic or wherever it was?

Speaker 2 (01:32:51):
But in the house, I'm mistaken.

Speaker 4 (01:32:54):
I think a flight just got uh had some bullet
holes in it here in the States.

Speaker 5 (01:32:58):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (01:33:00):
Yeah. Spirit Airlines needs a little take a little time out,
time out. They're filed for bankruptcy. They're still putting planes
in the air though, right.

Speaker 4 (01:33:08):
Yeah, they're flying right now. I see flight radar right
here in front of the plan when you going around.

Speaker 2 (01:33:12):
I want you guys want to fly Spirit anyway? Can
you guarantee me you'll never fly Spirit. I can guarantee
you promise that.

Speaker 5 (01:33:19):
I can't guarantee you.

Speaker 11 (01:33:20):
That because I'll probably I'll get on the Spirit plane.

Speaker 2 (01:33:22):
Well no, and it's not for being a it's not
even a what do we call it, you know, a
snob an airline snob that that's just not had to
do a snob. But it has to do with I'm not
I don't ever feel like when you get on a
Spirit Airlines fly you're like, is this gonna be okay?
But they also the times that it leaves yeah, really

(01:33:45):
in the face. Wouldn't you really rather wouldn't you really
rather spend an extra three hundred bucks and go the
right way even though it's money, Yeah, yes it is,
and leave on time? Actually water, yeah, exactly, without them saying, well,
that will cost you eight bucks for water? Help of it? Well,
can I get a bottle of water? No, we don't
do that here, sir.

Speaker 4 (01:34:02):
Can I get some water? Yeah, it's gonna be seven
to fifty? Well can I get Do you want ice?

Speaker 2 (01:34:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:34:06):
I would love I Sorry, that's gonna be that's additional
two buckshit me nine to fifty Okay. Can I get
some water? Hold the ice? Yeah, waters, hold the rocks.
Spear blows, man, there's no there's that's just the worst
airline of all time? Seven one three five seven ninety Ryan,
what's up?

Speaker 16 (01:34:23):
Man?

Speaker 5 (01:34:24):
Did you make it back?

Speaker 6 (01:34:26):
Yeah? I wanted to.

Speaker 19 (01:34:27):
I wanted to start by apologizing you Brian, I don't
remember tweeting you that much.

Speaker 6 (01:34:31):
I think Garrett had my phone.

Speaker 4 (01:34:33):
It's all good man, Hey, it's a bachelor party. What
do you expect? And yes, Garrett was tweeting me from
your phone.

Speaker 19 (01:34:41):
Apparently I apparently I hijacked a live guitar perform.

Speaker 4 (01:34:44):
You did, Yeah, you did? You post it on Twitter? Man,
Good for you to know you played.

Speaker 6 (01:34:50):
I deleted everything.

Speaker 19 (01:34:51):
Bro was like, oh god, no, I'm not no, no, no, no, no, no.

Speaker 5 (01:34:56):
I have that out there on social media, Sean. Some
some people just can't handle a bachelor party.

Speaker 12 (01:35:00):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:35:01):
Yeah, booze is my money back? Yeah that's not true.

Speaker 5 (01:35:04):
I dad my money back playing golf?

Speaker 2 (01:35:06):
There you go. How about that solid ball striker? Yeah yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:35:10):
But now I wanted to say two things.

Speaker 19 (01:35:11):
One, I'd rather fly waffle House air than Spirit Airlines.

Speaker 2 (01:35:16):
At least elite. Well yeah yeah.

Speaker 19 (01:35:19):
And then also, I think the Texans they're going to
be all right. They're going to make some adjustments, like
you were talking about earlier. And I hope you told
those boys in Dallas, Sean, what's up about to come
in there and open up a can?

Speaker 2 (01:35:30):
And I told them that, you know, they were talking
about the rivalry, and I did tell them, I said,
this game, well, maybe the Cowboys being out of it
and they're the big brother I suppose. I said to
Texans fans, this does matter regardless of the record, that
this is a this would be the most devastating loss
the next the last two years, lose a regular season

(01:35:51):
loss to the Cowboys. To lose this game the Cowboys
would be worse than losing to Carolina right now. So yeah,
I told them that, and I asked them, I said,
what do the cow Boys do well right now? And
there's not a whole lot, So I think they know
how I feel. But in truth, you can't go in
there if you're the Protects. Thinking about that, Ryan, You've
got to go in there and treat them like they
are the Ravens or one of those teams if you

(01:36:11):
want to come out of this with a win. Because
it is Monday night football and crazy ass things happen.
We know that absolutely.

Speaker 19 (01:36:18):
Football is you know, the the sun shines on the dogs,
you know what, every once in a while, So you
can't go now.

Speaker 5 (01:36:25):
Go there shines on the dogs?

Speaker 2 (01:36:26):
What dogs? Ass?

Speaker 5 (01:36:27):
Okay?

Speaker 6 (01:36:29):
I saw you?

Speaker 4 (01:36:31):
Yes, yeah, yeah, he's a ass. Go ahead, say it
feels good.

Speaker 2 (01:36:36):
Say it.

Speaker 5 (01:36:38):
The sun shines on a dog's ass.

Speaker 6 (01:36:39):
Everyone there. You gotta go in there and play.

Speaker 19 (01:36:41):
Every game to win, like they were saying that they've
been playing not to lose.

Speaker 5 (01:36:45):
They need to play to win, play to win. But anyways,
I'll let you boys go. You have a good one YouTube.
Ryan preciate appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (01:36:51):
Yeah, you're like, I got to get rid of this stuff, right, yeah, yeah,
it's all harmless. Right, you're right, you're you're having a
good time. But I get what he's talking about. But
made his money back on the golf on the golf course.
Good for him. Ryan's Ryan's good people man.

Speaker 4 (01:37:05):
Yeah, he was playing the guitar. They also sent me
the address. They said, pull up. They did, they said, really,
here's the address.

Speaker 11 (01:37:19):
They was out there, they were outside there. You never
tore up your toe up.

Speaker 5 (01:37:28):
From the flow up? Yeah, you gotta.

Speaker 2 (01:37:29):
Can you tell me I got to I got toe up.

Speaker 5 (01:37:32):
About to sing right there? Like up from the flow up?

Speaker 2 (01:37:38):
Is that a cut Kilby or did you just write there?
You a lyricist?

Speaker 5 (01:37:42):
Now, I mean you knew that I did.

Speaker 2 (01:37:45):
Yeah. Ryan's good people man. Good times had bio all.

Speaker 4 (01:37:48):
Oh, yeah, there's there's uh no doubt that they they partied.
Uh So Yeah, QB carousel continues in the NFL. So
now it's going to be Tommy DeVito over Daniel Jones
up in the big, big n y C for the
Giants in a house they suck.

Speaker 2 (01:38:04):
Yeah, well, Brian, I think the Cowboy fans and Giants
fans and Chicago Bears fans. I think there's a lot
of fans. It's uh, it's coach looking for new coach
season and it will be about five or six, like
they're always is.

Speaker 4 (01:38:20):
Where's Bill bel Where's Bill belichicking the land? Ben Johnson?
Mike Vrabel? Is he gonna be back in the mix?

Speaker 2 (01:38:27):
Rabele Net coaching? Well he is. He's a special coaching
but still the head coach. The head coach's crazy Cowboys.
Would the Cowboys would be better if they hired him?

Speaker 4 (01:38:35):
Yeah, let's let's talk a little bit more about this
play calling from Bobby Slowick. Why should people still believe
that he's the guy for the offense?

Speaker 2 (01:38:44):
That's next, Men's Tea is now Men's t clink. They
had their tenth anniversary this summer. Obviously, guys, they care
a lot about everybody and They want fellas, They want
you to get in there, take care of your business
and get your energy, your brain fog gone, your energy back,
and get you feeling like you again. Men's ta Clinic

(01:39:04):
offers the veterans and existing patients a chance at Men's
Tea Clinic location near you. Our veterans to go in
there and say thanks, and meaning our veterans, i'd say thanks,
but Men's Tea Clinic to pop on in there and
take care of that for your service, and they want
to say thank you for doing all you do in
a complimentary performance injection for all veterans. And that was

(01:39:27):
last week and hopefully they're extending it through this week.
But they want our veterans to know they matter as
we celebrate them, but also men all over the place.
Remember this is November November Men's Health Awareness Month as
well Total Wellness Optimization is it Men's Tea Clinic And
this month in particular, they're going to continue to raise
awareness for the importance of your mental and physical wellness. Guys,

(01:39:48):
what are you waiting?

Speaker 6 (01:39:48):
On?

Speaker 2 (01:39:49):
Each November, They're going to make it easy to get
back to being you. A twenty five dollars T test
for all new patients, and they're doing it again this
year existing patients. It's a great time to tell a
friend about the power Men's Tea Clinic. If you're stuck
in lower gear, get out. It's going there. Draw a
little blood. It's non invasive and by the end of
the day you'll have your the numbers and how to
normalize your testoster and so get out a lower gear.

(01:40:12):
You deserve a better life. What are you waiting on?
Don't wait till January. First start now, it's November not
only mental health Awareness month, but to get your energy
back and to get you back to being exactly who
you're supposed to be dominant. It's Men's Tclinic dot com,
MEN'ST Clinic dot com or nine to seven to two
go Men's.

Speaker 1 (01:40:28):
Tea, and we've that for the Sean Salisbury Show continues.
It's a good thing.

Speaker 2 (01:40:36):
That they're disappointed at six and four as they get
said to take on the Cowboys in Arlington tonight. Cowboys
are short handed, obviously they think ceedee Lamb Mike McCarthy
expects him to play. Is when you're even as a
shorthanded football team, you're still going to play and you
don't want to humiliate yourself on Monday night. But getting
back to this, the disappointment from for I think me

(01:40:57):
and most is we haven't seen a complete that we
saw handful of times last year. Now with seven games ago,
you can get that fixed. But let's face facts. They're
not Buffalo right now. Listen, I know they got them,
I get it, but you're probably not going to get
Josh Allen nine to thirty again. He played great last
night Baltimore. Those Kansas City teams, even the Chargers, now
the Pittsburgh Steelers that they're in different class. Here's the key, though,

(01:41:22):
there are teams that are going to make the playoffs.
So you say, naw, I wouldn't give them much of
a shot against a Pittsburgh Steeler teams. Oh, I'd give
this team a shot. Get Nico Collins back when they're
right and healthy, and when Will Anderson who maybe one
more week, and then you get him back when they're
fully stocked. But it's not even just the injuries. This
is a team that is more than capable. But at

(01:41:43):
six and four, and normally at six and four coming
off a ten win season, you'd say we're exactly we
get back to ten wins. But the expectations in the
offseason have created a huge, a huge opportunity that we
think that the Texans can reach now after watching them
in ten games. I don't think any of us believe

(01:42:03):
that right now, believe that they can absolutely but believe
that right now that they can roll through the playoffs
boom boom, boom boom, and be in the super Bowl
with the way they're playing. But I was thinking, just
doing that show in Dallas just a few minutes ago,
I was thinking about, where are the Cowboys better than
we are here in Houston. They're not players, They've got
you know, Michael Parsons plays anywhere, Ceedee Lamb plays anywhere.

(01:42:26):
But as a whole what you what are they doing
well unit wise? In any group? They're not so the Texans.
This simply comes down to execution, not even adjustments, but execution.
The adjustment should have been taking place all week long
watching tape on the Cowboys. There can't be a whole
lot that pops right now. There just can't be. Now,
if you're the Cowboys, you're looking at the Texans and saying,

(01:42:48):
by the way, the phone number seven one three two
one two five seven ninety if you're the Texans. If
Cowboys look at the Texans, you're saying, this is a
time for us to get one. They're a playoff team
because it's a crappy ass division meaning here in Houston,
the South is not good. And then they are saying
this is a good time to get one because it's
six and four. They're a little bit vulnerable with coming off.

(01:43:11):
They're reeling from their second half against Detroit that they
don't expect much from us. Everybody's telling us how bad
we are. We were humiliated last week. We're giving up
a buck fifty or a game on the ground, all
those things that point to this should be an ass
kick in of epic proportions, especially with the thought process
going in with the Texans. But remember the Cowboys were

(01:43:31):
supposed to be a playoff team going into the season,
so that is just as cool. Think about last year's
Texans three win team when the season started, the quantum
leap they made to get to ten wins. Now flip it,
this is who the Cowboys are. On the negative side,
high expectations had a bunch of wins last year. Undefeated

(01:43:52):
at home Quarterback was the runner up in the MVP
now they're playing another quarterback, they're not fully healthy. All
the things that they're going through now now are one
hundred and eighty degrees different how the Texans felt about
their game. For me, for the Texans tonight, it's simply,
you got to get back to preparing like you were
three win team, but you're on a roll. You're going

(01:44:14):
into the season that energy and let it rip. You
know that persona you need to have and that the
feelings you need to have as opposed to you're trying
to protect a six and four football team. Because you're
six and four team right now, isn't a super Bowl threat.
The talent can be on this team, there is no doubt.
But Cowboys is a good team to get right. But
it's also one of those there's that slippery slope that

(01:44:36):
if you don't play well, it's also a way to
I'm telling you, if they go out and play poorly.
And when I say this, people are gonna say, wait,
you think they're going to come apart? It seems no,
but it could. It could start a fall right this year.
I'm talking about. Yeah, to get the six and five
and lose that this would be a depressing loss, not
only for the fans, but for the players.

Speaker 5 (01:44:55):
Oh, I gotta be, it would be, and how quickly
can get over it?

Speaker 6 (01:44:59):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (01:44:59):
In fact that as the Cowboys, and your schedule doesn't
get very much easier or get gets easier as we
go on. Bobby slogan, I got some audio here, tripley,
go ahead and play it. Bobby slow talking about changes
in the offense. Why people should believe that he's still
the guy.

Speaker 6 (01:45:13):
Do you think maybe.

Speaker 10 (01:45:14):
Y'all should change what you've been doing.

Speaker 5 (01:45:18):
Offensively?

Speaker 6 (01:45:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 22 (01:45:19):
I mean I say we haven't changed big picture. There's
been changes, I can assure you of that, but there's
been always you're always making subtle adjustments.

Speaker 2 (01:45:29):
I mean you're talking through the week, you're talking in game,
you're talking what.

Speaker 22 (01:45:32):
We do at halftime, like I mean, we're we've talked
about a lot of different things.

Speaker 2 (01:45:38):
People believe that Bobby Slowe is a guy that's going to.

Speaker 5 (01:45:40):
Get this offense back on track.

Speaker 22 (01:45:43):
Well, I think it really starts with I mean, for
me and where I'm at, it is always starts with
the organization, you know. I think from there it's it's
really the players. Do the players believe in what we're
doing and how we're doing it, and how we can
go operate and execute. Does the staff, does everyone else
in the organization believe in what we're doing, what we're

(01:46:05):
putting out there, how we're constructing an offense, and how
we're trying to go about what we're doing with the offense.
And I mean, honestly, from there, you play with the
standard that you believe in and eventually you go get
it done.

Speaker 4 (01:46:17):
That's a courtesy of a landbrey Locker. He does Texans
digital content here and the said he used to be
on radio, but I want to give credit where credits due.

Speaker 2 (01:46:24):
Yeah, deservedly, So I will say this that and you
heard him mention the same word. I use subtle, subtle adjustments,
subtle changes. And you heard him also emphatic about those changes. Oh,
we've done some different stuff. We're doing some different stuff.
But to the fan, if they win tonight and they
execute like they're capable of, you know what fans are

(01:46:45):
going to say on this show tomorrow and across the
state and Texans fans and even rightfully so, you're going
to say, look at all the amazing things he did
different Bobby Slow, all the adjustments they did, and the
truth is it'll come down to a couple adjustments, but
the execution of those, it'll look to you like it's
a oh my gosh, Bobby threw and everything he did

(01:47:07):
was perfect. Well, part of it's going to be the
Cowboys aren't very good. Secondly is that your team's got potential,
but the production needs to start to outlive the potential.
Because right now I would say that six and four
and the folks in Dallas is six and four. They
taking a step back to it, and yees, six and
four last year was better than six and four this year.
Although I think this team went health he's better football
team and I damn well know the defense is flying

(01:47:29):
around better.

Speaker 5 (01:47:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:47:30):
So with that that, if they execute and win tonight,
people are gonna go heh see. Now that's how you're
supposed to do it. And you know what the change
will be if you really looked at it and go
through postgame, watch the tape, it'll be the same play
inside zone that they cut off the backside right left
tackle gets out of his stance and gets a hand
on a pass rusher. Oh Oh my gosh, the guy
you're facing the night, he'll play pissed. Michael Parsons can play.

(01:47:55):
It'll be CJ. Stroud on a couple easy throws that
he's missed it. We're not used to seeing he'll hit
that deep over and hit him right on the money,
or won't force a ball down the middle where there's
guys you can't get through all those little things that
will six or seven of them, it'll look like, oh,
what did Bobby do different? Not much subtle changes that
the execution of them looked like they were a sledgehammer

(01:48:17):
to the cowboys head. I promise you, I say, because
you go in, you say, what do we do? I've
been on teams were like, it didn't really do much different.
We just played better. Yeah, we actually the ball hit
our hands. We caught it. I got rid of the
ball on time when a guy's wide opening the end
zone instead of wait and wait and wait and then
throw it up and gets picked in the end zone
against good Those things that if C. Dstrid had that
play happened to him fifty more times. You think he's

(01:48:40):
throwing an interception on that play. Probably not, yeah, probably not.
He's gonna he's the ball's gonna come out quicker. So
you're aware it's subtle, but the subtle changes lead to
big wins.

Speaker 4 (01:48:48):
Yeah, and they need a big win in the worst way,
meaning they need an offensive explosion because it's got to
be done for the Texans against the Cowboys tonight. Let's
continue to talk about this matchup and Joe Mixon running
the football against the Cowboys tonight. How bad is the
Cowboys defense against the run. We'll discuss that next right

(01:49:08):
here on Sports Talk seven ninety. But let me tell
you about the guilty players that I have. You heard
me talk about it last football season and it's back
again this football season. It is Daisy Dips by Daisy
Sour Cream. It goes perfect with chips, wings, veggies, your
whole football spread. You need to add Daisy Dips to

(01:49:32):
your football spread, especially with the college football payoff right
around the corner. You've got the NFL season continuing on
as we get into the holiday season. Daisy Sour Cream
came out with that French onion and ranch tip and
I have not gone back to regular dips because it's
better than your homemade dips. I promise it's a game changer.
They have real herbs and spices and ingredients you'd find
in your own kitchen, So get over to your local

(01:49:53):
grocery store and pick up a couple of these Daisy
Dips by Daisy Sour Cream. You cannot go wrong with
these for your game day spread, whether you're watching college football,
NFL or both. If you got to watch party on
Saturday and a watch party on Sunday, make sure you
have Daisy Dip by Daisy Sour Cream. And like I said,
it goes perfect with your chips, wings, and veggies and
anything else you want to use a part of your
game day spread. It's Daisy Dip by Daisy Sour Cream.

Speaker 20 (01:50:18):
Let's go.

Speaker 1 (01:50:19):
This is the Sean Salisbury Show.

Speaker 2 (01:50:22):
As well as at Aaron Wilson on Twitter and also
just all over the country doing his thing and for
us here at sports seven ninety dot com. Great stuff,
great insight on the Texans and all across the NFL.
Aeron welcome in, thanks for joining us. Would it be
safe to say, if the Texans did not pull this
off tonight, that this is the most disappointing regular season

(01:50:44):
loss in the last two years?

Speaker 17 (01:50:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 12 (01:50:47):
I think so, especially in this area of raised expectations
to not you want to take care of business, never
mind the state wide bragging rights. That's not important to
the Texans. It's more about just the brand and you
know your national audience. The Jets game was embarrassing. The
Lions second half certainly embarrassing in the outcome. And now

(01:51:10):
you're playing a Cowboys team that is more than on
the ropes. I mean they're all but dead, and yeah,
you've got to be able to just take them down,
get a lead. You know, the ideal scenario is you
get out of here with a win. You're impressive, and
you're able to even rest guys in the late fourth quarter.

(01:51:31):
I think that's all possible. It's just they have to
play to their potential. And you know, talking with slow CJ,
strive to be to Lions, I talk a lot about,
including Demico's comments for CJ, cut it loose, play fast,
have fun. I think that you've seen a lot of.

Speaker 2 (01:51:50):
Petive, right. I mean you get to a players like
you're playing. Don't be too cute, just let a rip, right.

Speaker 12 (01:51:57):
I mean, I think also just got to run their offense,
and I means run of the football, executing play action
throw its fee open man. But you know, it makes
things a lot easier when you get number twelve out there, Yeah,
Nico Collins and throw it up till he's basically open,
even if he's not open, because he's so big and
can really body guys out of the way and get

(01:52:18):
the football. I think that they were very dependent on him.
That's somethings to happen when you have a star wide receiver.
You've seen that happy you know, you have like a
Randy Moss or someone of that nature. Nico Collins is
their guy. He's you know. I know Stefan Biggs was
important offense. They lost him. I can't undergate what the

(01:52:40):
dependence on the receivers, what it did to impact the offense.
I know they pivoted to running the ball more, but
it did affect everything. There's a trickle down effect. And
I think him missing five games, they win some of
those games if he's in the lineup, and I think
they win more games now that he's back in the line.

Speaker 2 (01:52:58):
Has Has it been too easy on and I think,
you know, like Bobby has mentioned it, I mentioned just
subtle changes. When you make subtle changes that they to
the fans and the media of the day after the game.
When you make them and you win, it's like, oh,
they did fifty things different when in truth you don't.
They're very subtle adjustments and changes. It's about execution. But
with that, is it fair to say that when you

(01:53:18):
get a great running back and the way he's playing,
the shore mixing is having a hell of a season,
did you become a little that you lean on the
crutch that instead of being aggressive win and doubt by
we've got Joe Mixon back. There has that been any
part of this process this year that you lean on
him as opposed to leaning on aggressiveness because you know,
joke and bail you out.

Speaker 12 (01:53:40):
Well, they can't run their offense because they can't protect,
so it's they really had to try something else. It's
out of necessity and just trying to survive out there
and protect your quarterback. You know that's malpractice if you
call for fifty passes and you can't pass protect, I
mean eventually something very bad that happens, and it didn't

(01:54:01):
happen yet, but the quarterback is still in danger. He's
taking big hits. It's you don't want not so much
what it does with psyche and we've talked about that,
I think in the last week. But you know, there's
a danger from getting hurt, and that's something that they
have to so many timeless Enough is protecting his body

(01:54:23):
and protecting his health. But the lean to mixing. You know,
he's very good. He's watched the football. He was told
he'd have this kind of role. This was something that
was discussed when he joined the team, and he's been
their best weapon since Colins got out of line up,

(01:54:43):
so they had to do this. I think a lot
of it was just logic. I don't think that they've
done anything wrong in terms of it's not like he's
got forty carries. I think it's been normal. It's just
he's in the flow of offense. Sometimes I can tell
him the beginning of the game. They're just trying to
get him going and they're trying to make the defense
respect run. So yeah, there's some limited production limb of
the New England game. He had a big game, but

(01:55:04):
more initially New England was stout. Eventually it breaks. You
have to do that. You have to be patient with
don throwaway plays, but he's just got to kind of stays.

Speaker 2 (01:55:15):
He's been the offensive MVP for them. In my mind,
has Joe Mixon all right? Aaron Wi Aaron Wilson at
Aaron Wilson on Twitter, catchment at Sports seven ninety dot
com and at KPRC Channel two sports as well. Aaron,
what do the Cowboys do better? All things been, we
go into a game, they both play really good. What
are the Texans? I mean, what do the Cowboys do
better than the Houston Texans do? This year?

Speaker 12 (01:55:41):
When he's healthy and now he is, They've got Michael
Parsons and he's just a special Deacons player. I mean
here as a fourth three sixth he's six three forty five.
He's the closest thing to LT THEFC East a long time.
And I think that they do a nice job of

(01:56:01):
lining him up everywhere. He's the X factor in the
game really and for their defense. But you look at
how they use Parsons, and I think they're creative about it.
You know, are there some things could do even more
with Sad's Neil Hunter? You know, most of the time
you just kind of line up there as a hand
in the dirt defensive end. Should he move around more?

(01:56:24):
Especially now that Will Anderson Junior is out for at
least a few more weeks with his high ankle sprain.
He is not going to be closing the reserve, which
is a good news. He will be back within this
regular season, and I think sooner rather than later. But
when you do lose a player like that, are you
doing enough to highlight Hunter? It's sometime I see people

(01:56:46):
do things like what they do with Parsons, where they
got them on the move and it's harder to get
a beat on them.

Speaker 2 (01:56:53):
How are you going to block him? I mean, if
he can wreck a game, they're going to move him
around tonight trying to find whatever weekness they see. How
do you block him without having without protect him?

Speaker 12 (01:57:05):
You don't want to have the max protect I think
he needs some quicker hitting plays. You want to run
the football away from him. He is giving pursuit. But
you know, does he always chase, chase, chase like some
of these river run those guys. Sometimes sometimes not? Uh,
he is kind of I think some of this goes
back to sort of you see the personality of the interviews, moistrous,

(01:57:28):
kind of talkative, Philly kind of guy. But if he's
serious and like locked in, Do I see that from
him every single step? No? No, I don't, And I
think that's what you know, you know, really early but
that's what I care about. Hall of Famer. He's still
a young man. He's uh, I think twenty five years old.

(01:57:49):
He's still got some more maturing to do. But what
a talent, great football player, fun to watch, and uh,
you know had CJ's buddy. They they went to Japan
for that little ambassador thing. They were doing sumo wrestling,
they played some baseball, they played video games. They were
in the celebrity NBA All Star Game together, and yeah,

(01:58:12):
that's his friend. Uh. Big ten guys. I think you
know with CJ, you know he'll be aware of him
and they'll have a plan. I think you've got to
you hope that you know he's rushing against Tunsil. But
you know, if I'm the Cowboys, that's not what I'm doing.
The gap and the B gap going up the middle

(01:58:35):
where most of the sacks have happened against Shaq Mason.
It's two Scruggs against to much lesser extinct. He just
got in the lineup, But you know I'm going after him,
testing Jared Patterson, That's where I think he's coming. I
don't know if he's going to be up against Tunsle enough.
I like Tunsel's chances. Tuns will block anybody. But he
takes five guys, five linemen. That's not what the Texans had,

(01:58:58):
that's not their reality. Yep. But he does this to
a lot of people. I mean, he's going to get
some sacks, he's going to give the backfield that happens.

Speaker 2 (01:59:04):
He's a disruptor and he's one of the more explosive
players we have in the game. All Right, I got
a minute left, but I got to get this in.
How quickly do we expect them to get the ball
in NiCl Collins hands after this time off, to get
him going and feeling like he's in the flow.

Speaker 12 (01:59:19):
And right away I think they I don't know if
the first play is like, you know, like a nine round.
I think that he's getting something immediate, probably one of
those sideline kind of routes they use so you get
a first down. And I also see them going over
the middle, because that's something that he does so well.
Most wide receivers don't like to go over the middle.

(01:59:40):
He loves it, he loves contact, and he a real
spring of this step. You probably saw some of the
videos or posted them from practice last week. Looks good, yep.

Speaker 2 (01:59:50):
Absolutely gready, what give me a score.

Speaker 12 (01:59:55):
Texans with this game?

Speaker 2 (01:59:55):
Twenty seven to ten? So comfortable that'll be good and
which you'll get him to seven? Yeah, get him seven
and four and uh heading into for.

Speaker 12 (02:00:04):
The cast, stop following around. Yeah, people will calm down
a little bit.

Speaker 2 (02:00:09):
Yeah, in a division that they are going to win,
they just need to validate that with great play tonight, Aaron,
great stuff, brother. Yeah, we appreciate you and uh enjoying.
We'll look forward to talking to you on Friday.

Speaker 12 (02:00:19):
Thanks.

Speaker 2 (02:00:20):
That's great. That's Aaron Wilson will come back and discuss
ways that the Texans well, were they vulnerable? Michael Parsons
is one of them? How will they handle that? Tonight?
Sports Talk seven ninety.

Speaker 1 (02:00:31):

Sewn Salisbury, there to usc truth.

Speaker 3 (02:00:58):
Longtime friends shown Salisbury.

Speaker 1 (02:01:00):
Brian Lima, go Lobos. This is the Sean Sells Very Show.

Speaker 4 (02:01:07):
Have an announcement coming up at nine thirty this morning. Uh,
and if I had to guess it's gonna be the
announcement of the renaming of Minute May Park gonna be
called uh dyke In Park where we discussed that at
the HVAC company. I tweeted this out last night. Uh,
somebody took a picture of the jumbo tron El Grande

(02:01:28):
inside of the ballpark Sean and it's got the dyke
In logo. So what are they gonna take the oranges
out of the train and put a bunch of AC
units in it? Got some portable portable window units?

Speaker 5 (02:01:40):
Yeah, I don't know how they're gonna do that.

Speaker 4 (02:01:41):
You know, they're gonna put just one massive AC unit
on the back of the train, ice cubes.

Speaker 2 (02:01:46):
Maybe the train goes away.

Speaker 5 (02:01:47):
No way.

Speaker 2 (02:01:48):
You can't, can't know, you can't, right Staple?

Speaker 5 (02:01:51):
Yeah, what's uh?

Speaker 6 (02:01:52):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (02:01:53):
Bobby Dynamite, the train guy, what's he gonna wear now?
Can't stay in the train engineer outfit? Or is he
gonna put on like a uh, you know, a mechanic shirt,
says uh dyking on it?

Speaker 2 (02:02:03):
Well what if he maybe he'll have plumbers? But you
know what I'm saying. You know, sometimes you get a
guy come over the bid down crack, Yeah, yeah, it's
maybe a little lower. Who knows, right, Hey, maybe that's
the look. I ain't coming over there to put your
ac in. Maybe you want the wall a c the
window window. Maybe maybe get the window your glass plumbers.

(02:02:23):
You know a lot of a lot of glass over there.
You put a lot of window, right. No, that guy's
I think he's job secure, you think, and the train secure.
What they're going to put in it, I don't know.
I'm not sure it's gonna be weird calling it something different.

Speaker 5 (02:02:37):
Yeah, tonight at dyke In Park. Come on, man, this
sounds yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:02:41):
I get it.

Speaker 5 (02:02:42):
I'm sure Luddy talks brother financial decision in.

Speaker 2 (02:02:46):
You're sure it's a financial You're you think?

Speaker 4 (02:02:48):
Yeah, I could be. He just did it for the
help jury still out. Yeah, dyk In Park, Yeah sounds all.

Speaker 5 (02:03:01):
Well, Well, I.

Speaker 2 (02:03:03):
I'd like to be doing the dike In commercial. So
I think it sounds fantastic.

Speaker 5 (02:03:06):
Fantastic, great HVAC company over there, Diking parks, fantastic. I'm
all in. Yeah, I'm all in. Yeah, the what is
their one of their big plants.

Speaker 2 (02:03:16):
Vac Brother. Just so they know, I used to work
in the off season, I work at Honeywell, Okay, well,
so I know all about the HVAC business, dive deep
in mile season, spend it in the ops department, but
I prefer Dike and far.

Speaker 5 (02:03:29):
More the same.

Speaker 2 (02:03:30):
Yeah, all well, all day, every day. Matter of fact,
I think they should change the name. The name should
be every five steps in the building brought to you
by Dyke and I'm Sean sounds. Yeah, I got you
you tired, you hot, you cold? We can fix it.
And Dike in dot com you want to go to
a new level of heat, how about a new level
of air conditioning? We got them both when needed. It's

(02:03:51):
Diking and we are the official HVAC company of your
Houston aster.

Speaker 5 (02:03:54):
And right now on Black Friday, you can get buy one,
get one now.

Speaker 2 (02:03:57):
We're too good to give away stuff for free. Oh
say what I did?

Speaker 5 (02:04:00):
You got to stay with the people, Yeah, you do.

Speaker 2 (02:04:01):
Got to do it for the people. It's all about
the people, it is, man, Dyking Listen. It makes the
transition maybe a little tough when you're talking about you
know the name, because you're so used to minute mate,
But eventually you'll be like, oh, okay, let's head out
to Dike and ike in Park, right, Ike and Park
Because we don't call I don't call baseball stadiums stadiums.

(02:04:22):
I call them baseball park for venues. Stadiums are big, old,
like three old school three Rivers river Front, the concrete
stadiums or the Big Jerry's. That's a stadium right up there,
playing in the stadium arenas. Yeah, well it's better than
the Crypto dot Com arena? And that lasted long?

Speaker 6 (02:04:40):
Is that?

Speaker 5 (02:04:40):
A Lakers?

Speaker 2 (02:04:41):
Better roll up? Off off crypt Off the Lakers? The
Laker hate? You hate a d You hate the Lakers?
You hate lebron you do you hate Bronny? You see,
and you just weave in a Laker hate.

Speaker 5 (02:04:55):
You just had to go to saying Crypto dot Com arena.

Speaker 2 (02:04:58):
Crypto doc. Yeah, I I'm the name will be, it'll be.
It's you know, sometimes it's hard to get used to
a new name.

Speaker 6 (02:05:08):
Coming to you.

Speaker 5 (02:05:08):
Live from dyke In Park.

Speaker 2 (02:05:10):
You do it do it with yes, Okay, yes, it's that. No,
it's yes.

Speaker 4 (02:05:15):
You better have the usher in a new seas and Blommer.
We also usher in the dyke In Park here at
here in Houston. There you go, dike In Park, ladies
and gentlemen with some respect, Okay, all right, welcome, it's
usher in a new season, Blummer and it's gonna be
dyke in Park.

Speaker 2 (02:05:35):
Played a golf turn with Blummer Blumber this past week.

Speaker 5 (02:05:37):
Good to talk to him.

Speaker 2 (02:05:37):
Ketch up. He was a group right in front of me.
We got to catch up, had some laughs.

Speaker 5 (02:05:41):
Love the guy at the Larry Dirker tournament. No, this
was a place.

Speaker 2 (02:05:46):
Yeah, this was not the Larry Dirker event. This was
that was earlier in the week. So yeah, it was wood.
He thank you for inviting us on. It's always good
to see what Williams. No, you know, not him either.

Speaker 5 (02:05:57):
Would he like for toy story? Would he like to
have a success tournament?

Speaker 6 (02:06:00):
And he did?

Speaker 2 (02:06:01):
There you go see what I did there?

Speaker 6 (02:06:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:06:02):
Like yeah, so you'll get used to Diking Park. Okay,
just what is the visual? What the optics are going
to be?

Speaker 5 (02:06:09):
What are they going to put in the back of
the train.

Speaker 2 (02:06:16):
Do you have to have anything in the back of
the train.

Speaker 5 (02:06:17):
Yeah, it's gonna look weird. How about base how about
just baseball?

Speaker 4 (02:06:21):
That's fine with diking on it, that's fine, yep. How
about Baseball's I say, you just make it one big
ass ac unit.

Speaker 2 (02:06:29):
How about the A How about the train looks like
an AC unit, but it's the train. Yeah, go there
you know what I'm saying. Yeah, still move, still does everything,
but has a look of a of an aerican. You know,
these engineers are talented enough to do stuff. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:06:44):
So instead of it the train horn going off like
it just starts the AC fan.

Speaker 2 (02:06:48):
It blows misters up.

Speaker 5 (02:06:49):
Yeah exactly.

Speaker 2 (02:06:49):
There you go.

Speaker 5 (02:06:49):
Why it blows fireworks out?

Speaker 2 (02:06:51):
Yeah, wait, we need we need visuals.

Speaker 12 (02:06:54):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (02:06:55):
Yeah, so it spins. Who doesn't like it's when it spins? Right?

Speaker 4 (02:06:59):
Well, I guess you know with uh Dike and park,
I'm all in with what dyking park coming around? The
a C should be fixed the minime park because it
was struggling that.

Speaker 5 (02:07:07):
I'm sure they.

Speaker 2 (02:07:08):
I would imagine that it'll be primo when it comes
to the air conditioning and if you need heat, which
you probably won't, just saying, man, it'll roll just nice.

Speaker 4 (02:07:17):
Put some window units out in left field. Maybe they
will a lot of windows out there.

Speaker 2 (02:07:22):
Maybe the Dike's probably listening right now. And they don't
like you, they love me. That's different after after you.
It's just it's it's it's different because it's change and
change is hard to grasp. Sometimes you asked Bobby. Did
you not ask Bobby Slow to adjust tonight?

Speaker 5 (02:07:38):
I did.

Speaker 2 (02:07:39):
Yeah, Well, I'm asking you to do the same.

Speaker 5 (02:07:41):
To adjust on the naming of it's currently still Minime Park.

Speaker 2 (02:07:45):
Okay, tell it's changed. I'm asking I'm asking you, okay,
to make an adjustment. Adapt adjust blobber.

Speaker 5 (02:07:53):
I just I just want to know what what the
people would put in the back of the train.

Speaker 2 (02:07:57):
Well, let them tell us.

Speaker 4 (02:07:58):
Yeah, seven one three, five, seven, dyke in park? What
would you put in the train? The orange has gotta go,
No orange juice, No.

Speaker 2 (02:08:04):
More o j no more minute mad Yeah, no more
Minime's bragman signing.

Speaker 5 (02:08:12):
I heard he's going to Detroit.

Speaker 2 (02:08:14):
Heard that, heard heard both of those. Yeah, the the
natural fit in with a J. Hinch Yeah, who knows?

Speaker 4 (02:08:24):
Alex Cora over in Boston. I also did John John Morosi.

Speaker 2 (02:08:29):
Yep, Baseball guy, Yep.

Speaker 5 (02:08:31):
He was on MLB Network. He released this last night.

Speaker 4 (02:08:33):
The Astros are interested in willia A Domas, possibly to
play third base.

Speaker 12 (02:08:39):
Who is that?

Speaker 2 (02:08:39):
The Astros?

Speaker 5 (02:08:40):
Yes, will you a Dominas? Okay, well Dominus going deep?
They call him will would you?

Speaker 2 (02:08:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (02:08:46):
What would you know? What nickname?

Speaker 2 (02:08:48):
I called him Will, I called Hill Billy or Bill
Bill Odamas.

Speaker 4 (02:08:52):
Been in the league for seven years. He hit two
fifty one this past year with an ops seven ninety.

Speaker 2 (02:08:57):
Four Bill o'damas. I mean, I mean, he'll he'll, he'll.
My prediction on the season, it'll be like Noster Damas.
It just had to, didn't it. Yeah, Billy Admis will
be He's a good player, solid Bill, solid player. He's
too old? Is it too old now? Because he passed
the Billy point?

Speaker 5 (02:09:16):
It's calling Bill?

Speaker 2 (02:09:18):
What about Will? Will Will Adamas? Yeah? You know me,
I like the formal name. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:09:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:09:29):
My my prediction is that Adamis will do things that
only Noster Damas can do. And I'm not real sure
what those predictions were they any of them ever hit?
I think so. Yeah, we get the Bregman. Things got
to be in people's thought process here.

Speaker 5 (02:09:44):
Yeah, it's every day. Yeah, I see it every day. Man.

Speaker 2 (02:09:48):
I wonder what he's getting buck eighty four, six six
years thirty a year. Somebody offer it close. I'll bet you.
I don't know if they're to match it here, but
I bet you he gets close to that.

Speaker 4 (02:10:02):
Reportedly, the uh Tiger's off him just a four year deal.
I don't know the money aspect of.

Speaker 2 (02:10:07):
Well, then that'll mean if he plays out of his
mind that there may be another three or four year
deal big for him at the end of this run
too correct.

Speaker 5 (02:10:13):
Close at least, I would think so.

Speaker 2 (02:10:14):
And if you if you're Bregmant, you're signed for thirty,
don't you want thirty three thirty four million bucks a
year in that.

Speaker 5 (02:10:19):
Ragne thirty two for four years?

Speaker 2 (02:10:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (02:10:21):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:10:22):
So if you're going to do that thirty like a
buck twenty five to a buck thirty for four years,
if you're gonna take you know, have those two years
where it's where you decide to take a shorter terms
for more money. Obviously, So we'll see. But I'm sure
the aj Hinch thing and Detroit's on the rise. We
saw last year they're really good. So that's I'm sure

(02:10:44):
that's a pretty enticing stuff. And I'm sure aj Hinch
was probably gonna bring out every opportunity and stop he
has to get Bregman to be a part of his franchise.
I don't blame him.

Speaker 4 (02:10:53):
Looks like the Mets could also be a suitor for
Alex Bregman. The Mets could pursuit person to Soto that
would set the tone for the rest of their all
season Pete Pete. Alonzo's uh free agent also will plan
into New York's interest in Alex Bregman if you let
If the Mets let Alonso walk, they could either bring
in a new first baseman or move Mark Vento's to first,

(02:11:14):
which would open up third base for Alex Breigman.

Speaker 2 (02:11:16):
Can you imagine having your off season, you signed Soto,
you re signed Alonso, and you signed Bregman. Now they
have the money to do it.

Speaker 5 (02:11:26):
They sure do. Steve Cohen has tons of money.

Speaker 2 (02:11:28):
Can you imagine? I'm sure Cohen can. Well, yeah, your
Mets fans can.

Speaker 4 (02:11:32):
He went out and got Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer
two big contracts.

Speaker 2 (02:11:38):
And well remember they also went out and got a
handful of years ago. Lind Door was validated this year
with an MVP type here, So they're stacked. Man, you
get you had those guys in the lineup, Come on, son,
that's uh. That instantly makes them one of the top
favorites along with yeah, the Dodgers in the and the
Braves and and the Phillies. I mean it's a loaded yeah,

(02:11:58):
it's it's it's a loaded loaded league, is the National League?

Speaker 6 (02:12:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:12:01):
Sure that happens with these free agent signings.

Speaker 4 (02:12:04):
I wonder, well, you know what, there's gonna be probably
a lot of movement once the Winter meeting start, which
is in a couple of weeks.

Speaker 2 (02:12:09):
Yep.

Speaker 5 (02:12:10):
So watch to see early December. Yeah, you know, I
have to see how that goes.

Speaker 2 (02:12:14):
The second that's during it and the second it's over,
you start to see the things start to fly a
little bit.

Speaker 12 (02:12:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:12:18):
And who's going to set the tone and you know,
set the tone for where the numbers are initially.

Speaker 4 (02:12:24):
For the big boppers seven three two two five seven hinety.
We'll get to your phone calls. Also, we've got to
put some respect on these rockets. They won again last night.
Let's talk about a next to sport Stock seven eighty.

Speaker 6 (02:12:36):
You're back.

Speaker 1 (02:12:37):
This is the Sean Salisbury Show.

Speaker 6 (02:12:39):
Get back at it. Q.

Speaker 5 (02:12:41):
We appreciate you holding. Good morning.

Speaker 6 (02:12:44):
What's going on?

Speaker 17 (02:12:45):
My brother Sew my brother from another mother, Brian, my
play cousin, and my easy my nephew from prayers views.
Been a long time since I called in trailers, but
I had the call to day. If I lose the
game today with the Texas and Cowboys, I'm gonna be

(02:13:05):
extremely financially disabled.

Speaker 6 (02:13:08):
So I want to put something out there.

Speaker 17 (02:13:11):
Back in the day, back in eighty five, it was
his famous defense. You know, had a few players on Seann.
I know you probably remember Steve McMichael, Richard dentce.

Speaker 6 (02:13:24):
Otis Wilson, Gary Finstick who wore.

Speaker 17 (02:13:27):
Number forty six, who the defense was named after, But
undoubtedly the leader of that defense was my homeboy, Mike's
Singletary gout of words in high school. When asked one
day what was their attitude as far as going into
a game with the forty six defense, Mike Singletary said,
our philosophy was killer flee with a fledge hammer. That's

(02:13:49):
what I want to text them to do today. Kill
a flee with a sledge hammer. Don't make it close,
no mercy. Put it on them for more than one reason,
my financials. But they need to show the country that
we are, you know, tough, and we've been on national TV,

(02:14:10):
then we haven't really shown that we can play a
complete game.

Speaker 6 (02:14:16):
And got a few poker.

Speaker 17 (02:14:17):
Buddies, you know, diehard cowboys that you know, like I said,
we got got a little change on the game. So
I need that to come on through for me, even
though I tore them up Friday night. But I'm greeting, hey.

Speaker 2 (02:14:32):
When it comes to winning, we all need to be
greedy and sort of the excuse me the Texans tonight.
You're a one, correct, brother, I this should not be close.
If the Texans played good football, it just shouldn't be.

Speaker 17 (02:14:44):
And Sean and I think about Mike, you know, as
a friend. You know you're at Worthing in seventy seven
and like I say, when I heard that, man, that's
something that's stuck with me for long. To think you
could be so nasty and so mean that you would
actually hear the fleet with a pledge camera. Now feels
a lot about there philosophy.

Speaker 2 (02:15:04):
Being in a division with that defense, that those guys
in that defense. I can tell you that, you know,
some of the names changed by the time I got there.
But they were nast they were frigging, they were They
had you thinking different during pregame warm up. Brother, I'm
just telling you they did. And Mike wasn't wrong on that.

(02:15:27):
They they were so smothering and so aggressive and so
sound and so smart and so explosive that you knew
going and you talked to those guys going back to
when they played the Super Bowl against New England Patriots,
they knew going into that game. I've talked to buddies
of mine that played in that game against them. They
knew going in that game they had no chance to lose,

(02:15:50):
none of they and they knew their defense was going
to put them in a position to where going into
there that the intimidation and the execution of that intimidation
and and just beating your brains in. They knew what
what a good feeling knowing going in not that you
kind of hope you're gonna win. They knew they were
winning that game. Period.

Speaker 17 (02:16:10):
You never got to look at Mike Singletary right in
his eye.

Speaker 2 (02:16:14):
Oh I did, because our coach, our offensive coordinator, Jack Burns,
used to say, used to joke around about, you know,
you know, do everything you can just avoid the eyes.
You know, we would joke about that he's there across
from I mean, Mike was, and he was such a
smart football player. And they had they had they had
a dominant player at every position. They heck, they're eighty

(02:16:36):
they're eighty five Bears. They lost Todd Bell, and there
was what was the pass rusher's name. It was a
pro two pro bowlers. Going into the season. They were
hell holding on nodn't It wasn't Dent they had Dent
was there, they had it'll come to me, but he
was a it was It wasn't Richard. It was Todd
Bell and some and another pass rusher that started for them,

(02:16:58):
and then Dave Dorrison replay Todd Bell, god rest his
soul end up being a pro bowler. That was the
year they went fifteen to one, and they were still
the best defense in the world and they lost two
starters the year before, I mean during training they were holdouts,
and they still went on to do what they did.
So yeah, well, Mike Dick could tells a great story

(02:17:20):
about how they beat him. They just spread him out,
Dick could, I mean, Dicka tells about it, because we
made a mistake going in. Because the brilliance of the
Miami game plan by Dan and Shula in that group
was they spread them out, and even if you let
a free runner come, Marino's arm and his ability to
get the ball out happened so quickly. Wow, it happened
so quickly that even if you had a free runner,

(02:17:41):
see a lot of people, and we played them against
the forty six defense. They we would bring people down
and you know, you max protect and we brought people
closer to the line of scrimmage. And we had two
Hall of Famers on our offensive line, but we would
bring people down to try you know, where you get
down there, you're trying to keep a body on a body.
The best thing to do was to spread them out
when you got a release like Marinos and they couldn't

(02:18:02):
get to you the and the ball came. They had
a brilliant game plan. That's the reason they went in there.
You know, they went down to Miami and got beat
fifteen and one. Nobody else touched them. Miami's game plan
and the quarterback running it was to perfection and ditka
to this day, I'll tell you when Mikey goes, we
made a mistake and they were brilliant. They spread us
out and we didn't have an answer for it because
nobody else did it like Marino, and or people didn't

(02:18:24):
trust spreading you out was going to protect your quarterback.
Marino's quickness of release protected their foot and they had
good players too. But that's how they beat the Chicago Bearors.

Speaker 17 (02:18:33):
You don't know you had Clayton and duper out there.

Speaker 2 (02:18:35):
Oh yeah, yep, and they more was part of that
earlier in their careers. They were loaded, man, and they
could run the football. They just they out. They they
game plan and perfect perfectly that week to prevent their
fifteen and they prevent them from going sixteen. And oh yeah,
it was unreal. Appreciate you Q, great stuff as always,

(02:18:56):
my man, appreciate you calling in. Yeah, the singletary. It
was a very intimate guy to play against. And they
were they were so good at every position, so good
it was, it was they were. They were pretty scary, man,
trying to remember who the idea was Todd it was.
It was Todd Bell, who's a Pro Bowl strong safety,

(02:19:16):
and they and another rusher and then you know, or
outside linebacker pass rushers held out and they still went
on to win the Super Bowl and were the most
dominant defenses, one of the most dominant defenses we've ever
had eighty five eighty five. Just they say who are
the holdouts for the Bears in eighty five, and you'll
see that it was Todd Bell and another defensive uh,

(02:19:39):
another defensive like an edge rusher outside linebacker. I mean
the had otis Wilson and Singletary and their their secondary
Willie Galton, receiver, game breaker, McMahon, Peyton Fridge. That eighty
five Bears team was they it's two two.

Speaker 5 (02:19:56):
Of their guys, like Singletary, Todd Bell, and Al Harris.

Speaker 2 (02:19:59):
No saying Terry was there, he didn't hold out. Al
Harris is the other one. Al Harris was a pastor.
Al Harrison Todd Bell both held out and the season
and Dave Dorson in their pass rush still took over
and Dorrison took over for strong safety Todd Bell, who
was the hell of a player, and they went on
to win the Super Bowl and be dominant regardless.

Speaker 5 (02:20:20):
So it looks like Mike Singletary did hold out, not
as long as the other two.

Speaker 2 (02:20:24):
No, he didn't know, but he was. He was there
when the season. He's ready for the season. So the
other two held out the year, they didn't they didn't
get back. They were back in the lineup.

Speaker 4 (02:20:31):
Yeah, So this was going into training camp and there
was a big Mike Ditka himself on his own radio
show back in the day on wm a Q six
seventy said that he, Uh, how do we explain it
to other people? There's loyalty, here's a bus ticket in
a Hamburger, So if you're going home, go home. Then
he was also asked damn. He even said at one

(02:20:52):
point there's a zero percent chance of Mike returning. That's
just the way. It's going to be no use in
us losing any sleep over it. Let's let's just let
it die and quote Mike.

Speaker 2 (02:21:03):
Yeah, Mike did return in al Al Harrison and Todd.

Speaker 4 (02:21:06):
Bell did not further, He was further asked about him
being ready for uh the season. He gave it a
fifty fifty to fifty chance. So it looks like he
did pull up. Yep, he did start the season, but
going in his spring training camp, Uh, it looked like
he was.

Speaker 2 (02:21:19):
I think both Al Harris and UH and Todd Bell
ended up getting traded or moved to Philly at some point,
either during that season or in the offseason. I think
they both ended up with Philadelphia Phillies. I know Todd
Bell did at some point. I mean, would I say
Philly Philadelphia Eagles and and they didn't get their Super
Bowl rings out here and they were still that good.

(02:21:40):
That's how deep they were.

Speaker 4 (02:21:41):
Jeez, that's pretty nice man. Seven seven eight, Tony will
get to you. Uh on the other side of the break.
Let's keep it rolling right here on the Shout Salisbury Show.

Speaker 2 (02:21:49):

Trajanwealth dot com local trusted financial Fiduciary. Uh, it's playoff
time right around the corner in football and at all
levelsigh school footballs already started college and the pros are
rolling as well. And what you don't want to do
is give the other team a chance and turn it
over because that puts your chance to win a lot worse.

(02:22:10):
And so don't turn it over. Don't throw it to
the other team in retirement and the best way to
do that is to prepare for it and then find
out how aggressive you can be in retirement. Is there

The Sean Salisbury Show continued, Tony, thank you for holding
good morning one of guys.

Speaker 23 (02:23:34):
How about the rockets last night?

Speaker 5 (02:23:37):
Ten four?

Speaker 6 (02:23:39):
It was it was a thing of beauty. Good young team.
I've said that before.

Speaker 12 (02:23:44):
Uh.

Speaker 23 (02:23:44):
Fun to watch the game tonight. I think with Nico
back in the lineup, the Cowboys are gonna I'm gonna
try to lock him down. They're gonna try to lock
the running game down, just you know, on the open
man like, like Sean said, it's this this we should
take care of business tonight.

Speaker 6 (02:24:02):
What I want to talk about really is is min
it made?

Speaker 12 (02:24:05):
Or what is it?

Speaker 5 (02:24:07):
Dyke in park?

Speaker 6 (02:24:09):
I can park ike in park? Okay? All right?

Speaker 23 (02:24:12):
So so so the train has a bunch of oranges
in it, which has been has been hochy from day one.

Speaker 6 (02:24:18):
Take the train down. If you got it up there,
you can get it out. Get it out, put it in.

Speaker 23 (02:24:22):
The lobby somewhere, put it outside, Let people take pictures
with it. Put some real premium seats up there with
some you know, some nice seats with with with people
that come wait on you and stuff. High dollar coti
their home runs are up there. Those are those are blasts.

Speaker 2 (02:24:36):
Man.

Speaker 23 (02:24:38):
Put some seats up there, make make it make it
comfortable for people. Uh, take the train, put it out
in the lobby, be done with it.

Speaker 2 (02:24:45):
What do y'all think you know what. I'm all over that.

Speaker 5 (02:24:47):
Thank you, Tony.

Speaker 2 (02:24:48):
I don't care now. I want the guy to be
able to keep his gig. Don't misunderstand what the guy
who does the train Bobby Dynamite, not to be confused
with nap dynamite. Napoleon dynamite. You wouldn't diamite. Yeah, look
what they did. I can remember when Fenway, yeah, decided
to pull the netting down and put seats there, and

(02:25:09):
everybody's like, why are you taking the netting down?

Speaker 5 (02:25:11):
That's that's that that that place is iconic. We're not
doing that.

Speaker 2 (02:25:14):
And then after they put the seats up there, it's
the best. It's the best seat in sports. Yeah, I've
been fortunate to set up the first row. When you
got you can say you drink that.

Speaker 5 (02:25:23):
It's free.

Speaker 2 (02:25:23):
You can stand up against the wall behind you because
it's tall enough where you're not anybody's way. You can
lean against it, and the seat it's phenomenal. I don't
know how you do it, but there's got to be
a way engineering. They'd find a way.

Speaker 6 (02:25:35):
You can do it.

Speaker 2 (02:25:36):
Put somebody in space. We can find a way to
engineer seats. That would be you think people like the
Crawford boxes. They'd buy those seats in two seconds flat.

Speaker 5 (02:25:45):
I would.

Speaker 2 (02:25:47):
Yes. So if you're saying I have the choice if
it's one or the other, Bobby Dynamite wanted to keep
his gig. But you can move that train out of
there and put seats up. I'll do that all day,
every day. It's a great. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:26:00):
Make sure to get out to opening day. They're going
to be handing out the AC unit bibbleheads, are they
Yeah for Dyking park man.

Speaker 2 (02:26:07):
Nice.

Speaker 5 (02:26:07):
Yeah, go get you one.

Speaker 2 (02:26:08):
Nice AC in a bibblehead. But yeah, you put seats
up there. Watch how quickly that becomes. Those seats will
sell out every game? Yeah, every game. That's what a
great vantage point that would be. I'd love it.

Speaker 5 (02:26:18):
That'd be impressive.

Speaker 2 (02:26:19):
Yep, great point, Tony. I'm in.

Speaker 5 (02:26:22):
Yeah. Uh, here we go and we go.

Speaker 4 (02:26:26):
The press conference just began over at Minim Park. And
it is official. Mini ma Park Park is no more.
It is now Dyking Park. Uh and it officially begins
January twenty twenty five. It's a fifteen year agreement. Nice
Diking Park, Baby, the home of your Houston Astros.

Speaker 2 (02:26:49):
I feel like you're concerned. I feel like you're not
in the flow just yet.

Speaker 4 (02:26:53):
Welcome into the dyking Park. On the broadcast, we're high
a top dyking park here' I keep wanting to say
here at Minime Park, but it's now.

Speaker 5 (02:27:03):
Dyke In Park.

Speaker 6 (02:27:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (02:27:05):
You know.

Speaker 2 (02:27:07):
What can we call that area?

Speaker 5 (02:27:10):
It's not the juice box, No, not that.

Speaker 2 (02:27:12):
We're talking about. That's that seating if we get the
train out the above proffer boxes. Yeah, the seating up
there with the train called the window unit, the window unit.

Speaker 12 (02:27:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:27:21):
Yeah, Hey where you guys sitting today? Oh we're up
at the window unit in the window unit. Yeah, because
you're up to by the glass dike in park h
VAC AC units, window units, I mean it fits. Man,
the big unit, the big might sit up there and
you might be able to take picture for you because
he's a he's a photographer.

Speaker 5 (02:27:36):
Big unit got a long lens.

Speaker 2 (02:27:38):
Yeah, sure does, he does.

Speaker 5 (02:27:40):
He sure does.

Speaker 2 (02:27:41):
Really good photographer too.

Speaker 5 (02:27:42):
Yeah. Yeah, dyke In Park.

Speaker 2 (02:27:45):
Yeah, I'm in. Let's go.

Speaker 5 (02:27:48):
I don't care that it changed.

Speaker 2 (02:27:50):
An adjust Brian adjusts. We did they You thought Cover
two that came up with a strong safety blitch? What
are you doing? You adjusts on the flyer, take a sack? Uh,
you take the hit.

Speaker 5 (02:27:58):
Yeah, no, no, no, we're gonna adapt.

Speaker 2 (02:28:00):
Zero coverage your ass. What are you gonna do?

Speaker 6 (02:28:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (02:28:02):
Here coming for a touchdown?

Speaker 2 (02:28:04):
Here we go, we go.

Speaker 5 (02:28:07):
Can't wait to hear.

Speaker 2 (02:28:10):
Yep?

Speaker 5 (02:28:11):
Yeah, I like why Eddie alert alert, Josh Allen beat us.
It's okay. You know we're gonna get back to the
drawing board and figure it out.

Speaker 2 (02:28:20):
I'm gonna use it as fuel. What ay?

Speaker 6 (02:28:25):
But can we have that?

Speaker 2 (02:28:26):
Can we have those seats up?

Speaker 12 (02:28:27):
There?

Speaker 2 (02:28:27):
Are there people that are like, I don't want to
move the train. I mean I want, I want what's
the name, Rob Dynamite? Yes, Bobby, keep Bobby Dynamite. Whatever
you got to do to keep in the ballpark. I
love him, But man, seats up there? Come on, son,
Can you imagine that would be sweet? I'll protank jobs

(02:28:48):
to the left to left field, left center.

Speaker 4 (02:28:50):
I'm all in, all in fifteen year exclusive naming rights
partnership that brands the home of the astros Is Diking Park.

Speaker 12 (02:28:59):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (02:29:01):
It's great brand awareness because I didn't know who dyke
In was until until all the Metell people it started. Yeah,
until it started to we started to hear that this
was going to be a possibility about a month ago.
Remember at least that's when we talked about it and
doing research. Good been around and they'll it'll be. It's
a great relationship. In fifteen years means they're both all in,
which is a great thing.

Speaker 4 (02:29:20):
Dyke In Industries is a leading global indoor comfort solutions
provider with over ninety eight thousand employees around the world.

Speaker 2 (02:29:27):
Global being the key there. They do a lot of
global works.

Speaker 4 (02:29:30):
Founded in Japan, yep, over twenty two thousand employees across
Dyking Group companies in the United States. They had recently
celebrated their one hundredth anniversary. Dyke In constructed and operates
a four point two million square foot campus, the largest
HVAC manufacturing facility in North America. It's located right here
down the road in Waller, Texas.

Speaker 2 (02:29:50):
You know what that is too, Yeah, that's not out.
That's not far from my crib, right.

Speaker 4 (02:29:54):
Dyke In Texas Technology Park is the official name of it.
Ten thousand people work there. It's not far from my
crib right, No, right down the road, man, yep.

Speaker 14 (02:30:01):
So with that.

Speaker 2 (02:30:03):
A great relationship. I love it, and I would say
that if you've been in business one hundred years. You've
got a pretty good chance of withstanding the test of time.
So I'm glad. Good for them, And you know, I
imagine that fifteen year agreement came with some good, some good.

Speaker 12 (02:30:18):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:30:19):
It's good when both sides win. And apparently Dykin likes
it and the astros is excuse me, get a little,
you know, a little most. Yeah, I'm gonna be okay,
we got I'm an adapt and adjust you are. Oh yeah, god,
I hope so man, all good? Take a day off?

Speaker 5 (02:30:36):
No, mi HAAMMI don't don't take day offs here. We
don't take days off here.

Speaker 2 (02:30:42):
We don't take days off here. No. Yeah, that's about right.
We don't know, we don't. We just compete here.

Speaker 4 (02:30:49):
No exactly. We get to get through. It's not like
I'm you know, using vacation time to just you know,
go hang out it at the house, you know.

Speaker 2 (02:30:55):
I mean, sometimes it's Pensacola. It might be the day,
you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (02:30:59):
It could be.

Speaker 2 (02:31:00):
It's just it's just you making place peeps for your peeps. Yeah,
you're a giver. You're just a giver.

Speaker 5 (02:31:08):
It's you, not me. I mean, it's me not you.

Speaker 2 (02:31:10):
Yeah, yeah, yes, it is good thing, good good time
said by all, and congratulations to Dyking Industries, right industries?

Speaker 12 (02:31:18):
Is that what is?

Speaker 5 (02:31:18):
Or ha?

Speaker 2 (02:31:19):
And then uh and then congrats to the Astros on
the which will be kind of a odd transition because
you're just kind of trying to get into use to
saying it, but we will.

Speaker 4 (02:31:29):
That ball is going to be hit up near the
window unit right here at dyke In Park. Alex Bragman
puts the Astros on top three to two.

Speaker 2 (02:31:37):
Oh you getting down front. You got him signed too,
that's right, you.

Speaker 5 (02:31:40):
Know, forgot hits one out of the ice box. That's
a tub bomb and the HVAC train goes crazy. Plumber.

Speaker 4 (02:31:52):
Let's last preview of the Texans and Cowboys next, as
we finish up the show here on a Monday, right
here on Sports Talk seven ninety. Let me tell you
about Daisy Dip from Daisy Sour Cream. It's phenomenal and
it goes with your chips, your wings, your veggies, sandwiches,
whatever you want to put it on. It's up to
you and it tastes fantastic, especially during football season for

(02:32:17):
your game day spread. So if you're having a watch party,
whether it's for a Thursday night game Saturday Sunday, you
need to make sure to have Daisy dips included in
that spread. Daisy Sour Cream came out with the French
onion and ranch tip. The ranch one is my favorite,
but you can't go wrong with the French onion either.
They're both phenomenal. They're game changers. They're as good or

(02:32:39):
even better as homemade dip. They have real herbs and
spices and ingredients you can find in your own kitchen,
and they fit perfectly with your game day spread. You
don't have to worry about a messy kitchen when you're
trying to put together your own own homemade dip. You
just crack open the container, pull that plastic back, and
you are ready to dip whatever you want in the
your chips, your dips, excuse me, your chips, your wings,

(02:33:02):
your veggies. It's all fantastic because of Daisy dips by
Daisy Sara Cream. Get over to your local grocery store.
They're at all of your local grocery stores. Easy to find,
better than homemade dip. It's Daisy dip and it's by
Daisy Sura Cream. You do not want to have uh
this not in your game day spready when you're watching,
whether it's college football, the NFL, holidays around the corner.

(02:33:22):
So added to your holiday party as well. It goes
good with everything. It's days dip by Daisy Sara Cream.

Speaker 1 (02:33:30):
Let the celebration start, war, Sean Salimsbury on Sports Talk seven.

Speaker 10 (02:33:34):
Yes, yeah, let's go.

Speaker 2 (02:33:55):
You you thought it were gonna play at all?

Speaker 5 (02:34:06):
You have been waiting waiting all week?

Speaker 4 (02:34:11):
Oh yeah, sing it to us, Clay Edge to my seat. Yes,
come on, let's fired up. Monday night football in State.

Speaker 5 (02:34:27):
Rivalry Cooper Rush, C J. Stroud, superss.

Speaker 1 (02:34:34):
Get up and scream.

Speaker 5 (02:34:36):
Yes, it's football time in Houston.

Speaker 2 (02:34:41):
You think the Cowboys are playing a song right now
in their last segment on their.

Speaker 5 (02:34:44):
Morning they better play son.

Speaker 2 (02:34:49):
You've just assured that will be six and five talking tomorrow? Yes, no, yeah, yeah,
you haven't got it on in there yet.

Speaker 5 (02:35:05):
No, not today, No us Ah.

Speaker 21 (02:35:09):
It can rain, it.

Speaker 5 (02:35:10):
Can pour, it can rain, it can.

Speaker 12 (02:35:15):
I don't care.

Speaker 5 (02:35:15):
No, I don't care, all right, triply go ahead, fit
the South. I'm already checked up.

Speaker 1 (02:35:21):
Big people going around in the air.

Speaker 5 (02:35:25):
We're gonna win, We're gonna win. That gets jacked up.
I don't know what will you are right?

Speaker 2 (02:35:33):
Yeah, overing, I've overcome with joy. Really that song really
gets me in my yeah because I love it. Yeah
yeah yeah. Twenty seven twenty Cowboys Stop It. Plowboys wedind
tonight with that. Because of that song, we got going
with the plowboys.

Speaker 5 (02:35:52):
I really am No, you're not plow boys stake our
final call the show. What's up?

Speaker 2 (02:35:58):
Josh?

Speaker 24 (02:36:00):
Think I think that they're go my call?

Speaker 12 (02:36:02):
I was.

Speaker 24 (02:36:02):
I had a few things about the after thing I
wanted to say, and I'll be quick. It was a
I think now it's Dike in Park and could be
called the ice box if they actually, you know, get
it cold enough in there. And I do like the
seed idea. You're spot on with the window unit thing.
But if not, they could do a train would just
haul them like a diking crate something.

Speaker 5 (02:36:25):
Keep the guy employed, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:36:27):
I want the guy employed. Thank you, Josh, Thank you, Josh.
They Hey, there ain't no love in Oklahoma. It's just
the whistle of a long let's go. I'd like I
would like also, you know, we eat Bobby Dynamite up
there somewhere. I just we're just it's just we're just bantering.

(02:36:49):
The train's going to stay there. But Tony came with
a great idea. Man, make that like the top of
the monster seats. Oh my gosh, dude, it'd be phenomenal.
Tell me you wouldn't want to sit there every time
you go cold bear those seats? Yeah, a little dog
hmm yeah. Maybe a football time in Houston on your
playlist or rotching the season, rocking your replica ring from nineteen.

(02:37:12):
I'd wear one on my finger and one around my necklace. Yeah,
your change, I'm going steady right?

Speaker 4 (02:37:17):
Oh yeah, from your als from ALCS replica ring. Dude,
that's bad ass?

Speaker 2 (02:37:21):
Badass? Who you got Tonight? Texans, it's a score thirty
four to ten. Well, Cowboys get their points in a
garbage time TD Cowboys thirteen to three. What is the
Super Bowl?

Speaker 5 (02:37:40):
Whatever it was?

Speaker 2 (02:37:41):
I'm going I am going to say Texans twenty seven,
Cowboys seventeen.

Speaker 4 (02:37:52):
What does it say against seven seventeen? There go twenty
seven to seventeen, only ten point victory.

Speaker 2 (02:37:58):
I'll take it's double did that's a monster victory in
the NFL? Dude, not anybody's Detroit.

Speaker 4 (02:38:03):
Brian McTaggart reporting this two minutes ago. Jim Crane has
addressed the oranges on the back of the train at
the ballpark and what will what will replace them? Quote,
we do have something we're working on and we'll show
it on opening day.

Speaker 5 (02:38:17):
End quote.

Speaker 2 (02:38:17):
Oh there you go, ac unit. That's I don't know,
but that's good. So the train will stay awesome a
couple of weeks. Windows there you go. Yeah, I think
they went by to you know why. It's kind of
a reverse psychology. I need to until they showed me
they can go out there and pump out thirty five
against the team they're supposed to hammer. Yeah, I gotta
see it, but I think they win by double digits tonight.

Speaker 5 (02:38:39):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (02:38:41):
Cowboys just aren't very good.

Speaker 5 (02:38:42):
No, they're not.

Speaker 4 (02:38:43):
We'll see how the offense does in some adjustments, even
though they're gonna be slight adjustments as you talked about,
you go, but they are going to be like, oh
my god, Nico Collins returns, he's gonna have one hundred
and forty fives him to get him the.

Speaker 2 (02:38:57):
Ball first series. I don't care if it's a smokes
get it to him now. So he gets his hands
on the ball. A little slant, quick slant and get
him that big body likes to operate between the hash marks.

Speaker 5 (02:39:07):
Let's go triple who you got real quick?

Speaker 11 (02:39:09):
Texans?

Speaker 2 (02:39:10):
Okay, you heard it, you gotta love. Here we go, Hey,
good stuff.

Speaker 6 (02:39:17):
There you go.

Speaker 5 (02:39:17):
So Monday, let's roll, let's roll.

Speaker 4 (02:39:19):
Have a great Texans and uh Cowboys Tonight Monday night
football Rockets Bucks, seven pm, tip off, six o'clock launch.

Speaker 5 (02:39:26):
Patter right here on seven ninety. That's gonna do it.

Speaker 4 (02:39:28):
Sean Salisbury, Emmanuel Elmore I, and Brian Lilima. Thank you
for listening. Back tomorrow morning at six am. Don't go anywhere.
The Matt Thomas Show with Ross is next.

Speaker 5 (02:39:36):
