Taking a brief step away from sports for a moment, Sean and Brian take a minute in talks of a few scenarios we all may know too well in regards to our fellow friends and colleagues. Referencing sports a bit, some have began the chatter in regards to Jaun Soto's new signing with the Mets has him acting a bit different now, being he hasn't 'spoken' to Aaron Judge or players since their World Series loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Separating the chats from feelings, the guys take a moment to discuss the differences between the typical guy groups and their relationships with one another, from your typical girl groups and their differences in relationships with others that most people can attest to be correct.

Saulisbury, Old Berry Salisbury, Houston.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Okay, let's do this. Sean Salisbury to usc Truth, longtime friend,
Shawn Salisbury, Bryan Lima, go Lobos.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
This is the Sean Salisbury Show.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Seven thirty tip Off. Six thirty is when the launch
batt will start right here on seven one of your
home for Rockets Basketball. I'm gonna talk about Kyle Tucker
this segment. Texans Dolphins play each other NRG Stadium on Sunday.
All right, you're ready for the latest update in regards
to Kyle Tucker. Bruce Levine, baseball analysts for six seventy

(00:46):
The score dot Com, reporting this morning the Cubs are
now circling back on a deal that would send Paradis
and Cam Smith to Houston for Kyle Tucker. If completed,
it would leave the Yankees without left handed bat. That's
where Cody Belacher w enter to slot in for Juan Soto.
The Cubs Yankees are both still in on Kyle Tucker,
but are also talking to each other. Oh then I

(01:09):
also saw Let me see if I can find it
real quick. Jose de jasus or Tease. He is a
sports columnist. He's usually on the beat when it comes
to Major League Baseball news, he said, according to al
folks that I trust it would be a surprise if
the Astros don't trade Kyle Tucker within forty eight hours.

(01:33):
The Cubs appear to be the favorites until a deal
is done. Keep an eye on the Yankees, but the
Cubs are better position. So looks like Sean, the Cubs
are the heavy favorites to trade for Kyle Tucker.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Do you, and if you're the Yankees, though, excuse me
the reason why I never count them out? Right field's open,
and they need a and they need some good optics
other than Max Freed, and they're always capable with their
mother of jumping in late and offering you something that
moves a needle. So I wouldn't count it done. I
kind I wouldn't count the Yankees out. But it appears

(02:08):
right now that the Cubs in turn four lead. Can
they hold off down the on the final turn and
on the backstretch, I mean, on the on the home stretch.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Did you see his introductory press conference wan Soto's with
the Mets. I did, and how he basically said that
him and his teammates from the Yankees haven't talked since
they got eliminated from the World Series.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
I did.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
I don't think that's abnormal, though now I'm shocked that
somebody hasn't called him and said congratulations, yeah, or we're
gonna miss you. But dude, I've been to plenty of
off seasons and the last people you talk about the
first two weeks seasons over the first three weeks, unless
you're going to hunting with them, we're going to hang
out with them, play golf with him, you know, because
when you leave, people scatter and go home and do

(02:51):
their thing. I don't know a lot of guys that,
let's say your best but you know what I'm saying,
you hang around them all the time, and you live
near each other, stand in the same neighborhood. I don't
know a lot of guys in the seasons over to
spend a whole lot of time talking to their buddies
on the team. Now there has a situation like the
guy walking off the field last night. You may be
in a group text where you'd say, what is this clown?
We don't want them on our team, right? I get that,

(03:13):
But I don't think it's abnormal that just when the
off season hits you take a month off because in truth,
you and I are great friends, spend a lot of
time together on here, love being around. But if it's
a four day weekend, there's times on a four day
weekend you're relaxing at home, we don't talk.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
So I mean we get a text preparing for it.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Yet it's just because we were decompressing from everything. You
else got to go in your life, So that doesn't
that part of it's not damn, this is that's not
odd at all. Matter of I can go in my life,
and I like to think that I good teammate and
close with a ton of my friends teammates. But you
know what, when the season ended, whether it was in January,
in the playoffs, I wouldn't The next time I'd talk

(03:55):
to is if you're making appearances during.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Super Bowl Week.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Four weeks later, he didn't call him on the phone,
just say hey, dude, what are you doing on Tuesdays?
I was around you more than I was around my
family during the season. You know the truth is, and
don't take this disrespectful. Women are better at this than
men are. Men can go six months and not talk
to their best friend. If he'd gone on vacation and
he pick up the phone six months later, and it's

(04:19):
like we were just on the air together yesterday. If
I called, we didn't. Let's say we took two months
vacation and I and we didn't talk the day we
got back. Hey, mad, great, nothing would we'd be rolling now?
And I don't mean that. Well, you can't put that.
The truth is they're better at it, and this is
a compliment to them, But it's something I just don't
do my best friends. I may go month without saying

(04:39):
a damn thing to about the best friend that I
that I that has been through with me through the crap,
the good and everything, and his family all go six
weeks and haven texted him, same with him, pick it
up all dude, what are we doing this weekend? Or hey,
when are we playing golf? Nothing changes in the in
the ladies world. Their besties. If they haven't had a

(05:04):
happy hour twice in a week or haven't talked to
the I mean they could have gone on a seven
week vacation with their bestie. Two days later, they're offended
that they haven't talked.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
It's man, are you mad?

Speaker 1 (05:19):
No?

Speaker 2 (05:20):
And I'm mad.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Guys don't ask their buddies. If you do, you're a
you're you're a kind of a bit. If you if
your button hurt, your buddy hasn't talked to you a month.
The truth of matter is you're way too needy. But
in the female world, honestly, it's like, my bestie hasn't
called me, text me yesterday, and I don't know if

(05:42):
she's okay. Yeah, she's fine, okay. So in the Minnesota world,
it's not that odd not to talk to your homeboys
and your teammates a month later. But the only thing
that's odd about it is I know this, if I
hadn't talked to my buddy who is a teammate of mine,
and even though I want him, when that bag, you know,
i'd be the first person at six in the morning

(06:03):
to text him and say, hey, by the way, man,
can you vendo me as a joke right as a
teammate and say congratulations, we're gonna miss you.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
I love you.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
I wish you'd have been back here, but man, good
on you. You had got paid. That's that's all, good guy,
that's all I think.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
It's it's funny. It's funny you talk about your best friends.
So I've got a group text with my three best friends.
You've met Smitty. We piked off with him, yeah, several times.
But since December second, we've had one two, We've had
three conversations and it's like two responses each, and that's it.
Smitty sent a picture on Wednesday. I'm the only one

(06:38):
that responded. The other two didn't say it.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Damn. But a guy in a guy's world, that's normal.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
In a girl's world, you'd think the other four on
the group texas right at me. Even in your thing
you said December second to No, it's the thirteen. That's
only eleven days for me. That's still on them.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
There's been times where, oh no, there's this this group
text during the summer, this bad boy disappears for like
seven weeks.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
So the pseudo thing, it feels like, we're like, it's
you just went. You were just with them on a
nine month trip, so you just decided to take a
month off of talk to your buddies. That's how guys think,
but I would. The thing that is surprising is that
his teammates have not texted him or called him and
said I'm really happy for you man.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
Now, I don't know if that's an indictment on him,
you know, or relationships or jealousy, or it's just that
they're butt hurt.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
The truth of the matters, i'd love him there.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
But if he's my outfield made or teammate, man, congratulations,
but we're gonna miss you. At least you're close in town.
We can go out and have dinner. Sorry, you're not
gonna be with us this year. But it's not abnormal
for dudes not to talk. Matter of fact, I've had
off seasons of teammates that are friends of mine that
when you left when the season was over, you next
time I talk to him, you know what, it was
off season program?

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Damn.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Two and a half months later, it's like, hey, mat
how that's not That's not abnormal in the dude's world. Yeah,
two days twenty four hours is abnormal in the female world.
Like you said, that group text right there, they're not
looking at the response for the one who responds.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
They're wondering why the other steit? Why didn't you respond?

Speaker 1 (08:02):
I don't give a rats after if you responded, I
didn't see it. My golf game is more important than
your dumb ass meme. Okay, but I would be the
friend that would.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Have spot on. It's so spot on, you go.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
I'd be the guy if you got to pay, you know,
pay rin. I'd be the guys that makes some graduations.
But even if I didn't talk to you for a
month after that, I'd be like, hey, man, what my
ven will get lost? And was one hundred million joking around.
But I'm not offended if you missed the text.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
It's so spot on in a guy's group text, y'all
could be talking about real life situations for like a
solid ten minutes, then nobody's gonna respond, and then next
thing you know, there's a stupid ass meme.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
Dude, I asked question.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
I got a couple of college and buddies of mine,
and that like the Tim Shannon, you know Shannon. We'll
go in there and we'll say miss you.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Fellas.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Let's set up our off season golf trip to the
desert and there's like eight of us in it, right, yeah,
and the ones in tour in Newport, ones in Florida,
tour in Florida, one couple are in Texas, just all
over and somebody will says, I'm man, I love you guys.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Man.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
You know we don't want to let friendship. You know,
some emotional happen in the country. Say I want to
make sure you guys know or will lose a friend.
I love you, guys, man, and we're not getting together enough.
Everybody says the same thing, let's talk. And then at
the end of that, because nobody likes you after you've
done that, the uncomfortable thing, then the dude will say, hey, man, yeah,
but uh, you know, hey, anybody want to play so,
you know, say sounds stupid like hey, oh, by the way,

(09:26):
the zoids love me, you know, and all of sudden,
guys laugh, and then it becomes a text that we
can't share because everybody's talking all kinds of trash, right,
but we got no Guys can shift from emotion to
your you're a you're a prick, to I love you,
to do your golf game sucks to I'm talking about

(09:47):
in it, and it's all. It's all good, and then sick.
Three months will go by and we'll pick right off
from more. Hey man, I'm sorry I missed the text, but.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
What do you do?

Speaker 3 (09:57):
I got buddies that will tell their wives. You can
go through my phone anytime you want, stay.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Away from the group text. Not to go through my
group text safe.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Stay away from the group that goes on on group texts,
vegas and locker rooms.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
It's none of your damn business business.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Plus it's too gross for it even more, look at anyway,
it's dude.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
Uh what yeah, No, don't don't know, don't do it?
What does your boyfriend go through your phone?

Speaker 1 (10:24):
Or no? Well, I got, I got, I got, I
got two phones for him. He loves the picture and
the phone. The one I'm staring down at the top
of his head.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
He's Eddie's looking up at me. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
No, kid yourself on a group text too, Okay, that
right there. That ladies, I just want you to know.
Get your bestie. Okay, your bestie, she's okay. She's gonna
be okay if she didn't call you for two hours.

(11:04):
So we just went on a nine month vacation. Yes,
hence why twenty four hours is okay? She's not mad action,
she's fine. She's fine. I promise she's okay.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
Seven one three two one two five seven ninety is
the number to join uh Man. Major League baseball insider
John Hayman. Now he's got a report about Kyle Tucker,
my goodness, what's going on.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
