Rolling into the start of the MLB season now with pitchers and catchers set to start meeting tomorrow and Thursday, the Astros look to be set and ready to make another run at another postseason. Adding a few key pieces to the organization after a few departures like Verlander and Kyle Tucker, the Astros look to be ready to kickoff the season a lot better than they did in last years start. Still not knowing what Alex Bregman may decide in returning or playing elsewhere, it seems the Astros have began to move on from the veteran third baseman. Now gearing for the start of the season and still with no Bregman signing, talk has raised regarding who may become the next clubhouse's leader. With Bregman looking to be on his way out, Sean and Brian pose the question to listeners who could be the next Astros clubhouse spokesperson?

the Red Sox as the three teams that he could
see Alex Pregman signing with. He did not make any
mention of the Houston Astros. It's probably the first report
that I've read in a couple of days or a
couple of weeks actually that does not make any mention

There was also another report that the Astros increase their offer.

guys's being there longer. But I think if you know,
not if Briakman does not return, I could see Jeremy

we could we try to do this because he's done it.
But I think you could probably see him kind of
taking that next step forward in that leadership of a
role in the clubhouse and be phenomenal. You know, that
shortstop middling fielder usually are the ones who are have
that that personality and a zene there. So I could

see him being that dude this year where he's having
a monster year on the field. And also we're talking
about having conversations about you know, you know, conversation he's
had with some of the players are standing up and
having like a little team meeting, you know. So I
could see Jeremy Bean being that guy.

vocal leader and everything we know about Jeremy Pinia had
a unbelievable rookie season in the playoffs, they won the

a World Series MVP in twenty twenty two his rookie year.
During the regular season, let's see, he hit two fifty
three seven fifteen ops. Twenty twenty three he hit two
sixty three with a seven five ops. And in this
past season two sixty six of the seven oh one ops.

So he's basically been a two sixty hitter in his
career so far. Yeah, going into year four, let's see
the strikeout numbers have got to come down. He strikes
strikes out around one hundred and twenty times a year.
On base, probably needs to go up a tick. I

would say, walk right down. He only walks about twenty
five times a year. So he's a free swinger. So
I'm sure, I'm sure he's gonna make some adjustments. You
saw the adjustments mechanically this past season, less hand movement
in the box. It looked like it kind of helped
out a bit pitch selections still a little bit uh
suspect if you will, chasing those sliders on the outer half.

of months to really get going. I'm excited to see
uh Esak Perettis and what his role is going to be,

especially with the short porch to left. Obviously, Krishia Walker
is a is a signing that's really kind of underrated
throughout the league. Gold glove type first baseman can bang
drop bombs hopefully with that short porch and left as well.
But yeah, there's definitely gonna be some leadership that's gonna
someone's gonna have to step up into that role. And
you just heard it from the manager, Joe Spot himself.
