Toby and Chili Mornings on Demand onninety seven point Oneha that what's not to
feel good about spending at least twodays by the pool, well part of
two days by the pool. That'swhy I'm feeling good before five o'clock this
morning, Joy and the little things. It's ninety seven point one wash FM,
Toby and Chilly in the morning.I'm tellby now, Chili, how
you doing this morning? Great? We fired up the grill yesterday, put

(00:23):
a couple of steaks on there, some rabbi and enjoyed a lovely dinner out
on our deck. Now that isthe quintessential summer night. It's really nice,
it really is. And are wetechnically even in summer years it's still
unofficially something? You're right, it'snot until you're twelve. First it felt
summer ish, but the pool waterwas still cold. That's like the problem.

(00:45):
Like I got on yesterday and Iwas like, but don't you get
used to the cold ones? Socan I ask you this real quick?
I know? So, when youare any body of water, whether it's
the ocean, the pool, thereare people who try to do the gradual
entry, and then there were thoselike me who know that I will chicken
out, so I have to justgo to the deep end and jump right

(01:07):
in. Rip the band Yeah, are the band aid off? Kind of
again, you have to be okay, Yeah, it just because you just
don't know, especially like when it'snot been super hot for like a while,
it's just been like a couple ofdays above eighty that pull water takes
a while to heat up after thewintertime. Otherwise you're like, yes,

(01:27):
non quality entertainment. That's when I'mlike belining it back to the steaks,
not just for the steak, butto stay warm. That's funny, yes,
the truth it is. But youknow what, it is summertime in
the DMV, and it is oneof the best times of the year.
There's just so much to do outside, so much to get into. I

(01:48):
don't know about you, but itjust feels good to be out again.
Yeah, and today it's gonna behumid in eighty four, so well,
you can get it in while youcan. And then if it rains this
evening or whatever, because sometimes whenit gets humid like this it just does
well, then just head in,but don't let it stop you from making
the most of at least some ofthis Monday where Toby and Chilly in the

(02:10):

share with the class, Well, something I started using this year that I
absolutely love. Well. I lookforward to hearing about this because God knows,
I've never mastered packing summer travel sitsthat is here. It's ninety seven

The over the door shoe organizer youknow the ones that have plastic compartments
for shoes. Okay, I useeach one of those to put in my

(02:53):
kid's outfit for every day of theweek. And then you have some extra
compartments for extra little clothes. Youroll that up, stick it in the
shoe case, and then when youget to your destination boom hanging over the
door, super easy. The otherone, I'm sure you've heard of the
travel cubes, the ones that youunzip around and then you put like outfits
in. It just takes up lessspace and then you can just put it

(03:14):
in a drawer when you get toit. Why are you making that face
about the travel carpers, because Ipull those right out of my overnight bags.
I just did just the pain inthe buttocks. Have you tried to
use a travel cube? I did. I actually did this time a year
ago when I was in Canada forindustry conference. Okay, I tried doing

(03:35):
the overnight bag using all of thosecompartmentalized bags. They were just just in
the way they're supposed to save space. They did not save space. They
were in it the way. Iprobably still have stuff squirreled away in those
bags that I forgot that I've hadfor a year. I just, yeah,
I'm the worst with those bags overthe door door shoe hack thing.

(04:00):
I might be willing to concede thatI could try, but yeah, the
stuff that goes into the overnight bag, No, you're not doing that.
No, try it. No,it's a hot mess. I'm learning now
that you're either a travel keeperson ornot an extravel keeper. I'm like,
just roll the clothes up and prayyou have enough space and hope you don't
have to hit up a Walmart ora Costco or something wherever you might be

(04:23):
going. You know that is truebecause I have had to do that.
You just pick up stuff and youget an extra bag. It's horrible.
Well, it sounds like you havea few good hacks, and if you
could share those pleas on the Tobyand Chilli page at washufm dot com,
because somebody might be hitting the roadtraveling even as we speak this week and
they could have used that hack.Coming up in a few minutes some words

At ninety seven point one WASHM poolsare open, so let's talk about the
right thing to do at the pool. Ninety seven point one wash FM w'ere
Toby and Chilly in the morning. Some places have rules on this, others

(11:43):
don't. Should you be allowed tobe one of the first people into the
pool when they open to claim likefour five three? Multiple shares? Uh
huh? I mean this I sawhappen multiple times over the weekend. I
don't know how I feel about it. And when I say they claim the
chair, they throw the towel down. Then they come back like half an

(12:05):
hour later. Oh no, no, no, no, no, that
changes things. I thought you meantlike claiming chairs and they're still sitting there
waiting for their other guests to arrive. But you're talking about how they abandon
it all together for thirty minutes.Yeah, and then they come back and
they wait for the guests to arrive. So, if it were up to
you, Toby, what do youthink is the right thing to do?
Forget what everybody else thinks. Whatdoes Toby think is the right thing to

(12:26):
do? I think if you're goingto claim one chair and you're going to
run back into your place and getsomething pretty quickly, that's cool. I'll
give you five to ten minutes. But after that, anything else you've claimed,
anything else you've put down a towelon that's up for grabs, just
like open seating at Southwest Wow,saying in you I'll get there. I'll
claim a table with a couple ofchairs. I won't leave because I'm the

(12:50):
designated person. If anybody walks upbefore the other people arrive and needs a
chair, I'll have to give itto them right the way I am.
To me, it's the break tome, the breaking point is if you
leave for more than like ten minutes. Wow. That's when it's like a
problem. I'd give you twenty Okay, I'll give you twenty. You're gonna

(13:11):
go run errands. You're gonna gowhat do you what do you need to
go? Get some stuff for thepool? What are you? What are
you doing? I mean, thisis something you should have thought about prior
to I don't know thoughts. Ifyou've got some, feel free to find
us. You know where we are. In the meantime, let's play Toby

Americans struggle to spell commonly used words. The most searched word in Virginia is
