Speaker 1 (00:00):
Feeling good before five for two reasons. Toby and Chilly
in the morning, it's ninety seven point one watch CHEFM.
But before we tell you why we're feeling good, realize
that you have a voice and we love to hear
from you. So if you're feeling good this morning for
whatever reason, does not matter. Eight sixty six nineteen seven
forty three sixty one. There are two reasons that I'm
feeling good today. One, it's Friday. Tomorrow is sleep in Saturday.

(00:23):
Don't wake me up until I've had eight hours of dreams.
Number two, God decided to put on a display last
night in the skies above us, the Aurora Borealis, the
northern lights. Yes, visible all over the DMV, and no doubt,
social media on your end is erupted with photos of
it because people were like, whoa.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
It was very cool to see. We ran outside. Now,
our naked eye couldn't see it that well, right, But
when you take a picture of the sky with the
night filter, that's when it came through, at least for
us in Tyson's Corner, where there's a lot of light pollution.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
There was a lot of light where I live in
Falls Grove because I live close to Shady Grove Adventist.
There's a lot of businesses in buildings and hospital buildings
and science buildings, and they all put off light. So
last time we had something like this, I didn't really
get to see very much of it. I had to
go to Harper's Ferry this time. Yeah, I mean it's there.
I mean, I'm I was just wow.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
I mean, people doubt the existence of a higher power.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
I'm not going to tell you what to believe in,
but when you look at that, you realize there's no
way that somebody could make that in a lab.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
I mean, I guess maybe somebody could.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
A solar storm.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Yeah, I mean it's a solar storm for a reason.
You know, a celestial body decided to erupt. Really cool,
and so I guess that's why you're feeling good today.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Also, I know Taylor share our producers out because she
has pneumonia. I was making chicken noodle soup for her,
so I think you're lucking out. I have the chicken
noodle soup for you in the fridge.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Heat it up now, because if your chicken noodle soup
has the same stuff in it that the Parkway Deli
over in silver springs, chicken noodle soup as I won't
get sick for a month. No, yeah, and I'll take
that absolutely. There's something about chicken little soup. By the way,
if anybody's got any recipes, I feel free to send
them our way. We'll take what you do and we'll

(02:11):
apply it to the stuff that Chili makes. Because notice
I didn't say i'd make it.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Yeah, I need to buy more tumperware to bring you
stuff really well.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Speaking of which, tupperware, the etiquette, the rules when it
comes to temperware, we were talking about this yesterday. Thoughts
jump into the conversation. One are the rules when it
comes to tupperware? To go containers ninety seven point one
WASHEFM at eight sixty six wash uf FM, the number
one Toby of Chili in the morning.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
We talked about it the other day because I've been.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Making you food and bringing it in and these containers
and you were saying, U, by the way, do you
want these containers back because they were just sitting in
your house.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Well, they were in the dishwasher.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
The dishwasher clean now, which, by the way, I appreciate
you asking. And I said to you, when I take
food to someone's house in a container. I take it,
not expecting it back because I purpose like Chinese food
containers and stuff. If I really wanted that container back,
believe me, I'd say wash this and give it back
to me.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
And I asked you that because honestly, I've never asked
anybody the etiquette. But I know I've been the worst
perpetrator of losing lids just forgetting that.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
I even had them playing dumb and acting like I did.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Now, Diane, good morning in Rockville, and thanks for calling
eight six six wash upm the number one to talk
to us for Toby and Chilly in the morning. What
do you think you're supposed to do with these tupperware
to go containers?

Speaker 3 (03:29):
Give them back, keep them? Does it matter?

Speaker 2 (03:30):
My friends always give me a lot of food and
that kind of thing and go back and forth. I
definitely save them and they.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Do go back.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Not fair to just be collecting everybody's disian, that's true.
If you're not going to use them, you may as
well send them back.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Diane in Rockville, thank you for your comments this morning.
Let's go over here to Lance listening this morning in Alexandria.
Go ahead, Lance, tupperware to go containers. What do you
do keep them getting back? I don't know what you're
supposed to do, but I am totally guilty of just
never never giving them back.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Oh well, you sound like Toby.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
Wait a minute.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
I never said I was just gonna keep him and
never give him back.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
I said I would play dumb. Oh okay, long as
no one complains that I'm keeping them all right. Well,
thank you for jumping in this morning.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
And if you're listening to us, it's ninety seven point
one wash FM.

Speaker 3 (04:17):

Speaker 1 (04:19):
You feel like you want to jump in and you're
signed in, Tap that talkback microphone. Tell us what is
your thinking on to tupperware, to gobox etiquette? Do you
keep it? Do you give it back? We love hearing
from you, and if you need your mind made a
bit right, we can help in just a few minutes.
Your morning mindset on the way for this Friday DC
as we wrap up what's been a very long week.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
That's next.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Stay with us, Toby and Chilly in the morning, and
we call this your morning Mindset. And the reason why
is because mental health is important. Nashow it was a
global mental Health Day was yesterday and sometimes it can
take a word to turn your mental health and your
well being around. And we hope that that's what this
does with Toby and Chilly in the Morning at ninety
seven point one wash FM.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
So what are the words in the form of a
quote that you hope will help us going into the weekend.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Charlie Chaplin says, you need power only when you want
to do something harmful. Otherwise love is enough to get
everything done. Charlie Chapman says, you need power only when
you want to do something harmful. Otherwise love is enough
to get everything done. And if you think about it,
there's something very powerful about the word love. In fact,

(05:25):
I think people discount the word love. Love is something
that transcends power because when you tap into it, it
can make all things possible and power just unrequited.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
Well we know what that does.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
So lean on love today and let that be your strength,
just like Charlie Chaplin said. And if that spoke to you,
maybe you need to hear it again. You'll find it
to Toby and Chilipage WASHFM dot com. That is your
morning mindset on this Friday d C. As we get
in to a New Day together, ninety seven point one WASHFMS.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Some entertainment news. We call it showbiz buzz. That's up next,
what's going on?

do we need to know this morning?

Speaker 2 (06:10):

said that close to one hundred electronic devices were sees
from his LA and Miami homes, as well as on
him at a Florida airport and during his arrest in
Manhattan last month. A former employee of Kanye West has

director of intelligence back in twenty twenty two and he
was asked or tasked with investigating the Kardashian family for
sex trafficking. This ex employee also alleges that Kanye became
enraged after he reported child abuse at his school, the

Dondae Academy, and even threatened to harm him physically Aaron Taylor.
John apparently is the most handsome man in the whole world.

the FORMERSSNL A Star is going to be airing weekly

Speaker 1 (07:37):
My daughter Mayde be a big fan of John mulaney man.
He is hilarious and I didn't want to like him.
I didn't think this was my kind of humor because
I'm more into Dave Chappelle. But different is not bad.
Different is good, and in this case, it's hilarious.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
I saw that this was.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
A Reddit thread and there was a study out about
the songs for passing over. I mean, they're the best
songs for passing away. It's ninety seven point one, was chef.
And this does not mean you're already gone, No, it
means you know that the time is nigh.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
By the way, this is coming from a hospice care
provider who says that listening to nice music can really
calm your loved ones before they transition.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
And so here at.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
Ninety seven point one washef, M what Toby and Chilly

a very good song.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
I did it.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
That is a really good one. That was one of
the first ones that came to my mind. But if
I had to choose one of my own, you know,
Louis Armstrong's what a wonderful world?

Speaker 3 (08:42):
Yes, I got to thank you myself. I wonder.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
God I get those.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
It's a lass.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Hell, why you got to ruin it for me?

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Come on, now, what was your I'm gonna flash forward
a few decades to a song that you might not
have expected to be my Hey, he's about to pass
over into the great bye and Bye song from the
eighties Man's Glass Tigeroo.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
You're basically telling everybody, Hey, don't forget about me, baby.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Yeah, not that it matters that my heart might break,
because well you know, I'm gonna go into the sweet
bye and bye anyway. But remember we had some great times.
Don't forget me when I'm gone. Hopefully I did something
to make your life a little bit better and make
me smile, and not to mention. It also ties into
the fact that Sabrina Kanti kicks off our Best of
the Eighties weekend around five o'clock today here at ninety

(09:46):
seven point one Wash FM. Coincidence, we think, not.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
I'm Steamroller tickets MGM National Harbor, December seven, Thanks to
Live Nation, You've got the question what your guests?

Speaker 2 (11:09):
My guests would be horseback riding. Why do you think
that would be their answer? I go to the racetrack
a lot, and I'm around horses, and I see people
falling off horses a lot. Oh, that's gonna be my
guest that's the worst.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
You know, I'm English saddle trained and I've fallen off
of a horse and it's not fun at all, especially
if the horse goes horse and you have to start
doing the stop, drop and roll because you don't want
that horse to step on you because you know, horses
way like with cars.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Weigh Yeah, you don't want to get to stepped the horse.
That's a great guest, Michael. It's also the correct answer. Yes,
I know, man, I'm steamroller.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Just in time for Christmas MGM National Harbor. Thanks to
Live Nation. The tickets are yours.

Speaker 3 (11:54):

another nearly impossible question. Tickets to go see Chicago at
the Lyric November third.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
Michael, tell me the name of the station that just
hooked you up, please.

Speaker 2 (12:10):

Speaker 1 (12:22):
After the week we've had, we need some good news
and it is Friday. Why not feel good before we

and here comes a story that we think might just
do that for you.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
From Annapolis. Have you heard of mister fix the Flat.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
So his real name is Kawan Moore, and what he
does is he repairs bikes for any child in his
community who asks for free.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
Okay, maybe if I still fixing bikes, still start riding
the bikes. I was just thinking of my childhood.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
Honestly, that childhood was rough for Kawan, who grew up
in Baltimore.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
Rough neighborhood.

Speaker 4 (12:57):
You know, gun violence, night violence, drugs and everything else.
So coming out here and doing something and getting love
from the community from what I do, it's a great.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Fielm And despite his hours long commute to his job
as a supervisor at CFG Bank Arena, Kuwan still finds
time to fix all these bikes you mom gave up,
and now everyone down here get to ride their bikes
with their friends.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
If I could help anybody or everybody, I will, I'd
be like Superman.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
But I can't.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
I don't know, Kuwan, to those kids, you already are
a superhero.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Kawan.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
More from Anapolis, thank you for giving us a reason
to feel good on a Friday and If you want
to share this story with somebody who might need to
feel good, who might need something to turn their day around,
to bring them some joy after a tough week, you'll
find it to Toby and Chilli page at washfm dot com.
Say there, because coming up in less than twenty minutes,
we're gonna talk about your partner's body count? You know

(13:54):

your partner's number? Is? Is this important for anyone to know?
Think about it? Eight sixty six nine two seven forty
three sixty one is the number we'll talk coming up
the body counts. You know your number? Does your partner
know your number? Do you know your partner's number? Is

(14:17):
this even important? Eight sixty six? Wash af them the
number one Toby and Chilly in the morning, it's ninety
seven point one.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
Wash af them comes up because.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Twenty six percent of people in relationships say they do
not know that body count how many people their partner
was with before them? Do you know my husband's Yeah?
I do, and he knows mine, and it's a relatively
low number for both of us. Now, do you know
your girlfriends?

Speaker 3 (14:41):
Nope?

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Does she know yours? No? Oh? Okay, what if she
asks you, do you have the answer?

Speaker 1 (14:46):
Nope, because I don't know. Come on, I'm not being facetious.
I look, I've lived my life with no regrets. But
I've sampled the Shmorgas board of life. It's like in
all you can eat buffet, and I've tried everything. Jesus,
I'm not saying I'm proud of it. Does that make
me a.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
Bad human being that I don't know my number?

Speaker 1 (15:06):
I don't know, but because God, I don't know mine,
I don't feel like I have a right to know.
There's we weren't a couple when you were doing whatever
you were doing, and vice versa.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
So there's that It would bother me if my husband
gave me the answer you just gave. I don't even
know my number. It's so high.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
It's not and I'm not bragging about it.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
I'm not saying you're bragging, but it's telling. It tells
me that when you were with these women that it
was just a mamma, thank you, ma'am situation.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
Firstly, that might have just been what we were in
the mood for. Is consenting adults who might have been
out doing what we do is consenting adults and.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
Yellow flag at the very least.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
Okay, I will give you that. When you say tomato,
I say tomato. A yellow flag for you might have
been a checkered flag for me or a green light,
which means go. What do you think about your partner's number?
Eight six six nine two Evan forty three sixty one.

doesn't even know how many women there are.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
Which seems a bit much Cannice and Elican City thoughts.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
I would rather not know curiosity fill the cat.

Speaker 4 (16:57):
I just don't think it matters as long as they're
on with your health status in side.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Yes, you don't want them spread and stuff and such.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
Russell and Damascus, what say you? I think it's important
to know at least a little bit of their history.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
I would like to know all the significant relationships that
my partner had.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
Good point. You just have to be ready for the answer.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
True. Now what's your name and where are you from?
This morning?

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Erica from Washington, DT?

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Body count the number thoughts, I might.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Agree with you. What happens before happens before I played
the field and everything.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
And my partner, my husband, you know he does know
if he did it, it didn't matter. Is there any
number that you think would be too high or disguised?
The limit? Guys, limit? You gotta have fun. And I'm sorry, Chilli.
I'm with Toby on this one.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
I don't care if the number is really high, but
I would wonder do you know or remember all their
names all except for maybe three or four.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
I'm not wanted to judge, ma'am because, well, at least
you can remember some of the names. There are some
names I have no idea.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
Most you don't.

Speaker 3 (18:07):
Right now, that's not true, true. I'm not going to
defend myself. I am not on trial. I had fun
while I was doing it, and that's what matters.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
I'm a California girl at.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Heart, undeniable, fine, fresh, fierce, and you've got it on
lock West Coast represent to paraphrase Katie Perry, Oh.
