Toby and Chili Mornings on Demand on ninety seven point one.
Washef out feeling good before five?

Speaker 2 (00:06):
It's ninety seven point one wash Chef m Toby and
Chilly in the morning. Federal holidays, so the federal workforce
is feeling good because they're not awake right now. They're
all enjoying their data sleep in. Chili's got the day
off because it's Columbus Day, and her son's got off
and her husband's not working, so she's smartly playing the
family role. So in for Chili AMR Today, Katie Harris

(00:27):
and Taylor Shay, you're keeping everything together, So I will start.
I will tell you I'm feeling good today that I
did not accidentally wash my wallet. I'm running a couple
of minutes behind this morning, and the reason why is
because I couldn't find my wallet in the tracker and
it's dead. But I found it because I've been working
this weekend to do domestic Toby stuff. I know you

(00:48):
guys raise your eyebrows at it, Toby cleaning Lord, but
you know you got to do laundry. And I'm thankful
and I'm feeling good before five that my wallet is
not go through the washer and dryer, because that would
be horrible. Everything would be ruined. I'd probably lose stuff.
There might be receipts in there I need to turn

(01:09):
in for whatever reason. So that's one of the reasons
I'm feeling good this morning, Kat, go ahead.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
I'm feeling good because the coffee machine works.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
Believe it or not.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
No, when I came out, I would work yesterday and
when I came in, the coffee machine wasn't working it.
It was saying you had to enter some code, and
brilliant Kat was like, I'm gonna unplug the coffee machine
and reset it.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
And I did in Boom, now I have coffee.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
See that's the thing. Sometimes you just have to unplug it. Now,
Taylor's Shay, why are you feeling good this morning?

Speaker 5 (01:40):
I'm feeling good and grateful for Miss Sarah at Hudson
Valley Swim School. She is my son's special needs swim instructor,
and this weekend she got him to let go of.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
Her hands in the pool.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (01:54):
And so I'm super proud, super grateful for her, because
sometimes when you're a special needs family, it's hard to
find places that accept you for who you are come
as you are, and this place does, and my son's
making great progress to potentially.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
Save his life.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Now, what's the name of this place?

Speaker 4 (02:11):
Hudson Valley Swim School.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Tell everybody all about it on the Toby and chilipage
at WASHIFM dot com. I'm telling you right now, that's amazing.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
They're in Gaithersburg.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Well, there you go. So, why are you feeling good
this morning? Eight sixty six nine two seven forty three
sixty one. If you're up early and you're working, well,
so are we. It's not a federal holiday for us,
but you got to find something to feel good about
on a Monday, So feel free to jump into the conversation.
Speaking of conversations, coming up next, some people left us
some talkback messages about a conversation Chili and I were
having on Friday about your number, your relationship history, Is

(02:45):
it important? Does it matter? We'll get into it coming
up your number, your body count? Friday with Toby and
Chilly in the morning, Chilli and I were having a
spirited discussion about relationship history, does it matter? Do you
even know your body count? Do you you know your
partner's number? Eight sixty six nine two seven forty three
sixty one is the number. The talkback microphone is wide

(03:06):
open and Katie Harris playing the part of chiliamar. People
left us some talkback messages, but quickly, let me ask you,
does the relationship history the number? Does it matter to you? Yes?
Or no?

Speaker 4 (03:16):
No, it really doesn't.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
I don't, I don't need to know, and I will
not tell you my number because it's.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
It's none your business.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Yeah, well that's exactly what I said. So now, thank you.
I don't feel so alone. But you know, Chili felt
a different week. Inversely, and people who are listening to
us jumped in after the show, or maybe we just
found your talkback messages, so I thought we'd get to
them on this Monday morning. We'll start with you, Beth
listening in Rockville, who left us this.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Message someone's number. I think it matters if it matters
to you. It never really mattered to me.

Speaker 5 (03:46):
But I never really had as many partners as anybody
I've ever dated.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
And like I said on Friday, some say tomato, some
say tomato. Now, Nancy, you had some thoughts about the
whole number, and she left us this message of via
talk back in Fairfax.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
Kating history is not a good indicator of what's to come.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
So yeah, it kind of does.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
We have one more message, Katie. This comes to us
from Keith who's listening to us in Columbia. He left
us some message on our iHeart app with the talkback microphone.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
I don't think it actually matters, but I don't want.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
To actually know about it. If the numbers high, it's.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
Like you don't want to, like wonder where you rank.
I never thought about that.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
I know that's a really good point.

Speaker 6 (04:26):
You know.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
At first I wanted to say something smart like yeah,
I don't want to know about the places you and
your ex significant other use to go. But when it
comes to where you rank, that puts it in a
whole new lights, does it.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
I mean, if you think about it, if you just
repeat over and over into reality, I am number one,
you will be number one.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Well there you go. Okay, that person kat Harris with
the inspiration this morning is we talk about the number.
Thank you for jumping into the conversation. You always have
a voice here with ninety seven point one watch FM
where Toby and Chilly in the morning speaking of inspiration
and if you need a little to get your mondays started,
on this Columbus day, your morning mindsets, words to inspire
on the way next stay with us. Time now to

(05:08):
pause and talk about you and your mindset, your mourning mindset.

this is the part of the show where we.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Pause and we get words of inspiration. Toby, what is it?

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Roy T. Bennett's an author. I wrote the book The
Light in the Heart, and I admit that I am
not the most well read on the roy T Bennett,
but this quote spoke to me today for some personal reasons,
and I thought I would share this quote with you
because maybe it'll speak to you as well. Don't be
pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led
by the dreams in your heart. Don't be pushed around

(05:50):
by the fears in your mind. Be led by the
dreams in your heart. And it really is a thing,
I think the root of all anxiety. And I'm no therapist,
nor am I a doctor. But the root of for
me anxiety not knowing is when I allow myself in
my mind internally to be pushed around by fears that

(06:10):
I have, whether I've created them, whether they are legitimate.
I let them dictate what I should be doing, when
I should be following the dreams in my heart, which say,
you know what, I'm afraid of nothing. Maybe I am afraid,
but I'm gonna just suck it up and I'm gonna
try to press on. Because these dreams, they're gonna have failures,

(06:30):
they're gonna have moments of greatness. But if I'm led
by these dreams, then I'll ultimately make them come true.
So today roy T Bennett challenges all of us not
to be pushed around by the fears in our mind,
but to be led by the dreams in your heart.
I hope that that spoke to you this morning the
way that it spoke to me. And that's your morning

(06:51):

a thing that you never forget for the rest of
your life. And so She's stayed very focused and dedicated
on the task, and I'm very proud of her. And
even though I'm going to have to spend Thanksgiving in
Boston trying to figure out where to get turkey dinner

Speaker 3 (19:15):
He pretty much has got the philosophy of if you've
got a bike that's just collecting dust, why not put
it to use and have somebody who really needs that
mode of transportation. He's been asked what's the catch, and
his response was, you give me hope.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
There is no catch for Manuel Vera. He just wants
people who need bikes. Refugees, immigrants, anyone in need to
have the wheels that they need to get around to
live life, to get to work, to get the things
that they need for their family.

Speaker 3 (19:44):

Bria in Kensington. You've got a hack. It's weird, it's
out there, but it works for you. What is it?

Speaker 6 (23:17):
I love omelins and I always use like an egg
separator because I do egg whites, and it just like
kind of stays the time. I was trying to like
separate them with the shell. I mean it was like
maybe five bucks off of like target. Just a little
time I spent, like not having to worry about eggs
in my own homeless to me, I is worth it.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
Given my well known disdain for all things egg related
when it comes to omelets, I'm just gonna have to
take your word for it.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
That's a good hack, but personally I'm all about the
yoke when it comes to eggs.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
Briya, thank you, KT, thank you. Can we please stop
the egg conference? Say you shd now h Kimberly listening
