Speaker 2 (00:05):
Hopefully you had a good Thanksgiving with your family. We
always try to find something good to start the day with.
This morning would be no exception as we find something
to give us a bit of joy, feeling good before
five Toby and Chilly in the morning. It's ninety seven
point one wasch FM. I'll jump in first if you
don't mind, surehap. I have found that there's something to
(00:27):
the phrase unconditional love. I don't know that I really
ever knew it. I think that maybe I loved people before,
but I don't think I've ever been loved unconditionally, nor
have I let myself. But I think I turned to
the page over Thanksgiving.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
Are you talking about somebody outside your family, Toby.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
I'm talking about my significant other, otherwise known as my girlfriend.
The woman who takes care of me when I don't
take care of myself, loves me when I don't love myself.
Sometimes it's a great thing to find.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
It's a beautiful thing, that's a lovely thing to be
thankful for, because you know, sometimes you're like well family
of course, with your kids and your parents. You expect
that kind of unconditional love, but it's magical when it
comes from people that are not right. Man.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
They compliment you in every possible way, and they love
you in spite of all of your flaws in your
like whatever, it's good stuff, what about you.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
I'm super thankful that we actually got through all our leftovers.
We didn't have to throw any of it out. We
went to Ma Giano's for Thanksgiving and we brought home
some boxes of food, and yesterday or last night's the finale.
Thank god, all of it is gone.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Yeah, because today it wouldn't have been very good on
the stomach, just saying as somebody who's food poisoning himself
more times than he could count.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
No, it was lovely, So I'm grateful that we didn't
have to waste any delicious food.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Good stuff. Well, there's always something good to start the
day with for Toby and Chilly in the morning. It's
ninety seven point one wash FM coming up in just
a few minutes.
Speaker 4 (01:54):
You know.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Before we left for our little Thanksgiving holiday there we
were talking about Tom Green making a comeback. He's who
was a comedian big time, I guess in the early
two thousands and now he's going to have a special
coming out next month. What celeb would you like to
see make a comeback?
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Good question? Maight six six nine two seven forty three
sixty one. Stay there, we'll talk about it coming up
as we get back into this Monday after the holiday
at ninety seven point one WASH that welcome back to
the grind at ninety seven point one Wash FM on
this Monday morning. I figured we would take it easy
and talk about something light, something easy, something fun, something
(02:33):
not too difficult this early in the morning. Eight six
six ninety two, seven forty three sixty one is the
number one to know what celebrity do you think needs
to make a comeback?
Speaker 3 (02:41):
In case you missed it, Tom Green, remember the comic
he was married to Drew Barrymore for a minute, Yeah,
he's got a special coming out next month, actually hoping
to make a comeback in his career.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
So tell us who do you think needs to make
a comeback. I will tell you that I've been waiting
and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting for sync comeback.
The full band, not just part of the band, but
the entire band, including with Justin Timberlake, and I want
by the way, a world tour.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Okay, well, you keep waiting. Maybe in twenty twenty five
your wish will be granted.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
You never know what about you.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Leo DiCaprio. He hasn't done something in a while, and
he's very talented actor.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Oh, he's been doing something all right.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
Okay, don't make reference to his girlfriends.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
And he's had many of Oh I read People magazine
this weekly. Okay, that man's been very busy. Maybe he
hasn't made Titanic, but he's been doing Titanic things. Darcy
good Morning in Leonard Town. Tell us the celebrity you
think needs to make a comeback.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
If I had to.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
Take one, I'd say Britney Spears. After everything she's.
Speaker 5 (03:44):
Been through, a comeback would be incredible.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
Imagine her dropping a new album or even doing a
big performance again.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
It would be massive.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
Her influence on pop culture is undeniable, and it would
be absolutely amazing to see her back on.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Top, performing now in her residency for the next six
months at the Sphere, Britney Spears.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
If she did somehow come out of this, it would
really match that of Robert Downey Junior's. Oh comeback is
a huge one.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Too Downey Dardie Jay's comeback is next level. That's that's
a completely different level of the game sort of a comeback.
But I will say that I do root for her
the way I root for him Murray and Brambleton. Tell us,
who would you like to see me a comeback? What celebrity? Emilios?
Speaker 5 (04:27):
It's his long overdue for a comeback.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
I miss all of his goofy movies.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
I mean one of my favorites is Loaded Weapons, hilarious.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
We need a sequel to that one asap.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
Or the Breakfast Club. He was creating that one too.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
I remember he was a part of the Guest of
Young Guns and Young Guns Too, and that's where the
trail went cold with Emilio. Stevis the brother of Charlie Sheen,
the son by the way of Martin Sheen.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
Also Charlie Sheen could have a comeback, I mean, now
that we're on.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
It, yeah, I mean, it's it's been a minute since
the Tiger Blood thing winning. That sounds more like Alex
Jones than Charlie Sheen. But if you have a celebrity
you want to see you make a comeback, tell us
who it is? Eight six six nine two seven forty
three sixty one. Talk back open to this early morning.
If you're already signed in listening on your IR and
Apple as a voice note, we love hearing from you.
Stay there. Will get to your morning mindset coming up

Speaker 3 (05:41):
With our morning mindset. Quote.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
If you want to achieve greatness, and this comes from unknown,
If you want to achieve greatness, stop asking for permission.
If you want to achieve greatness, stop asking for permission.
It's in asking for permission at times that we get
in our own way. You don't need permission to be great.
You already are so season. You don't have to ask
for permission. You don't have to run it up the flagpole,
(06:06):
you don't have to clear it by a boss. Just
achieve greatness. Stop asking for permission. Keep that in mind
as we wrap up twenty twenty four together and as
we get into this Monday after a holiday week. That's

President Biden is partnering his son Hunter, despite previously saying
he would not be using his authority to partner or
commute Hunter's sentence for his conviction on federal gun charges.

the facts in his cases can reach a conclusion that

maybe you should sleep on your stomach because according to

Speaker 2 (10:21):
No doubt, it's going to be an interesting Monday as
you shake off the Thanksgiving holiday. We spent some time
with family and friends this Thanksgiving, and we'll talk a
little bit about how that all went down. Coming up
in just minutes. It's Toby and Chilly in the morning
continues to stay with us. Zobe and Chilly in the morning.
It is ninety seven point one wastch at them on
this Monday, December. Second, let's see, you had a Thanksgiving
(10:42):
dinner at Maagiano's. Is that right?
Speaker 4 (10:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (10:45):
It was just the five of us, very intimate. It
was lovely. You had a lot of food. I know
you went to visit your daughter up at Emerson with
your girlfriend and you're worried there could be some political
drama stuff. Did that happen?
Speaker 2 (10:58):
No, thank god, My daughter did not get political, nor
did my significant other, who has her own political views
and who did actually say before Thanksgiving, well, if things
get political at this dinner, just so you know, I'm
going to hurt some feelings real quick, because yeah, nobody's
feelings were hurt. It was actually a good time with
my brother and his kids and my daughter who had
(11:21):
to work on Black Friday because she works in a
retail establishment and Black Friday is not a holiday. There
was just something I realized as we were sitting down
to eat dinner in Boston, and I didn't realize it
until afterwards. There was just there was something missing the
whole time, and I couldn't wrap my head around what
was missing. Then I get home and I call my parents,
(11:42):
and we get back to the room and I call
my parents, I should say, And it turns out my
mom and my dad had Thanksgiving alone. I thought my
younger twin brothers were going to be over there, but
they had. I guess they got together earlier in the
week for something, and the twins had to you know,
they run a record shop and San Antonio vented final Shop,
so they had to go get ready for it, and
(12:04):
I guess they ended up having dinner with Zachary's significant
other or whatever.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
I'm like, so, was this the first time in your
memory that mom and dad were alone, just the two
of them for Thanksgiving without any of their kids.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
Yeah? Yeah, it really, it really was like there was
and that that's the thing that kind of was a
little bit bothersome, Like I just, you know, I'm aware
that the road ahead does not stretch out as far
as the road behind when it comes to you know,
our parents they're not getting any younger, and it just
made me feel like, God, I miss a moment. Yeah,
(12:36):
you know, so I've been kind of beating myself up
about it.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
I know. But you also had a daughter you wanted
to be with. I hope, you know, let's hope that
you get another chance next to you.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
I hope so. I hope so, I hope. So you
have no idea, God knows. I hope so. But anyway,
that was Thanksgiving, and hopefully it was good for you
and your family. Hopefully it was good for you. If
you're listening to us, it's ninety seven point one, watch
FM Toby and Chili in the morning and if it's
not been good, maybe we can turn it around.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
Right now Shelby and Chilli's nearly impossible question.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
What is the question this morning?
Speaker 3 (13:08):
Well, smartphones are the most sold item on Cyber Monday,
but this comes in at number two. What is it?
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Okay? Eight sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty
one is the number and we are playing four.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
Fifth row seeds Trans Siberian Orchestra Capital One Arena on
December twenty third, thanks to Live Nation TS.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
So it's Christmas. Here's the question. One more time.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
Smartphones are the most sold item on Cyber Monday, but
this comes in second? What is it?
Speaker 2 (13:38):
All right? Folks? TSO tickets eight sixty six, nineteen seven,
forty three sixty one, nicall now get it ride you
could win. It's your nearly impossible question for this Monday,
December second and it's on Shelby.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
And Chilli's nearly impossible question.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
And the question again today is smartphones are the most
sold item on Cyber Monday, but this comes what's in
second place? What is it?
Speaker 2 (14:01):
Fifth row? Tickets up for grabs Trans Siberian Orchestra Capital
one Arena, Thank you Live Nation. And so now we
go to Eddie in a huntingtown. Good morning. What is
your guests clothing? Clothing? Are you going to buy any
clothing today on this Cyber Monday or are you going
to stick to some other stuff that maybe you didn't
get on Black Friday? And you've got the I missed
(14:23):
a sale fomo going on.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
I'll probably do some shopping for my wife because I
missed the shopping on Friday. Well a little hint, go
ahead and buy her some clothes, but it's okay to
also buy her other things that may sparkle.
Speaker 5 (14:37):
Okay, good idea.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
Well that's a great guest. Congratulations, it is the right answer.
Fifth row tso tickets you're gonna go so you can
tell your wife you've hooked that up. Thanks to Live Nation.
Speaker 5 (14:47):
Awesome, Thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
You are welcome. Enjoy and be here tomorrow for fourth
row tickets to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra. Thanks to
Live Nation. With another round of You're nearly a possible
question coming up in just a minute, it's the news

President Biden issued a full pardon for his son Hunter
ahead of a sentencing for gun and taxi convictions. That's
a departure from his prior promises not to pardon Hunter.
The president and says Hunter was selectively an unfairly prosecuted.
Community activist is being mourned after he was shot and
killed outside of Prince George's County restaurant. This happened early
(15:31):
Saturday morning. Police not sure of the motive for the shooting,
but they are trying to determine if thirty three year
old Cornelius MacDonald was involved in an altercation with an
unidentified suspect. McDonald was known for his work to help
those with mental health disorders. An organization in the Adams
Morgan neighborhood is trying a new tactic to cut down
(15:52):
on the amount of pizza box litter that's along Eighteenth Street.
So they recently placed two large pizza box trash case
along the street that can easily accommodate the square pizza
boxes well. The DC Department of Health is hosting an
event tonight in honor of World AIDS Day. That event
is at the Hamilton Live and it will include refreshments,
(16:14):
free HIV tests and music from the Backyard Band. At
a PNC's Christmas Price Index. They do this every year, right,
They just came out to with the list of how
much it would cost if you were to give your
true love all the gifts in the song Twelve Days
of Christmas. The grand total for this year is forty
(16:34):
nine thousand, two hundred and sixty three dollars fortcasts. For today,
you better bundle up, Sonny and cold highes around forty

Speaker 2 (16:47):
You ever been banned from someplace? Eight six six nine
two seven forty three sixty one is the number? Tell
us where you were banned from? Or tap the talk
back microphone. This comes up because our producer Taylor Shea
has a friend who apparently got banned from someplace. You'll
find out where has this ever happened to you? We'll
get into it next with Toby and Chilly in the Morning.
Eight sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty one.
(17:09):
Have you ever been banned from someplace? Told not to return? Well,
Toby and Chilly in the Morning, and Taylor sha, our producer,
says she has a friend that has experienced said banning.
What's going on? She had banned from its tanning salon.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
She how does that even happen?
Speaker 1 (17:26):
That's well, that was my first question.
Speaker 6 (17:27):
She walked in there right before they were about to
close and demanded to tan It was like five minutes
before they close. They told her no, and she demanded
it made a big scene. She ended up leaving and
then got an email from corporate saying we canceled your membership.
Thanks for your your business, But you're not welcome at
any of our salons nationwide anymore.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
Why do those terms and conditions. I've never pulled off
anything quite that ridiculous. I've maybe overtaken something for free
that they were you know, like you know when you
get the free cookies in the store when we were kids.
I'm taking too many of those and got my hands slapped.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
But I find it to be rare. Don't you think
that you're actually banned from going to any one location
of something? You would have had to have done something
pretty inappropriate.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Well, Amanda, good morning. So you were banned from someplace?
What happened? Tell us everything.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
I was banned from Target.
Speaker 5 (18:21):
Not proud of it.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
What happened.
Speaker 5 (18:23):
It was when I had this new boyfriend and we
were really you know, into each other, and we just
couldn't keep our hands off each other, and so we,
you know, like nothing too crazy. We were just making out.
But they caught us doing that in the sitting rooms.
I guess they didn't like it.
Speaker 3 (18:38):
I'm pretty sure I would cry if I was ever
banned from a Target.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
I think you would be surprised just how much Target
knows about you and what they have on camera. When
it comes to you in Silver Springs, Susan, you got banned.
Speaker 5 (18:51):
Oh my god, I was banned from the Dollar General
store by my house because the clerk was on dope
and absent from the counter and I in front of
or on it.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
Maybe the clerk was just tired or groggy.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
I mean, it is the holiday retail season. One could
understand why one might be tired at the Dollars store.
Taken a bit of a break eight six six ninety two,
seven forty three sixty one. Have you ever been banned
from someplace? What did you do? We're not going to judge.
Tell us everything, talk back. Microphones wide open for you too.
Toby and Chilly in the Morning. We're next. We've got
a story that might just make your Monday. This involves
(19:26):
your Washington Commanders and cleats. Stay there for more on
this Monday morning, December second, as we all get back
to the grind together here after a long holiday break.
It's ninety seven point one Wash FM. Toby and Chilly
in the Morning. We thought it would be very appropriate
to pause to talk about something that we think might
just make your Monday. And know the fact that the
(19:49):
Commanders won in one big against the Tennessee Titans yesterday
isn't what we're talking about, although that was very big.
This is related to the Commanders who are making an
impact beyond the football field.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
They're using their platform to highlight important social causes and
they're taking part in the NFL's My Clause, My Cleat's campaign.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
And they were showing off some of these cleats during
the Titans game in case she missed it. Their dedication
to some of these causes that have really impacted them,
that speak to them. One of the people who took
part in this campaign is rookie quarterback the Great Jaden Daniels.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
Also wide receiver Diammi Brown, linebacker Nick balore Bllor. They
basically wore special cleats and made personal statements because each
pair represented a cause or an organization that's very close
to their hearts.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
And Jade and Daniels chose to support Saint Jude's, the
children's research hospital that does a lot of great things
for our kids and for their families despite the ability
to pay. That's just one of the ways that they've
taken part to Jammy Brown highlighted the White Ribbon Project,
which raises awareness about love cancer. It really is interesting
(21:03):
to see the causes that are so near and dear
to the hearts of so many of the commanders.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
I mean, I think it's wonderful that they're doing this.
It's subtle yet very powerful. They are advocates for change.
They're walking the walk literally toward a better and more
compassionate world. By taking part in this.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
And through the initiative, they are showing that they are
more than just athletes. They're people who know that they
can help to bring about change. And this is a
great thing for everyone involved. So a salute to the
commanders who are teaming up with the NFL's My Cause,
My Cleats campaign. Let's hope that some great things come
(21:39):
in the years ahead because of the good you're doing
right now, Commanders, and thank you for making our Monday.
This is really something that's amazing and something that we
need to talk more about. So often we talk about
the superfluous things when it comes to football in our athletes,
but this is an example of our athletes giving back
to make the community a better place place. What better
(22:01):
way to make your Monday than that. If you get
a story that you think might just make your Monday,
maybe you want to read this story. You can find
it the Toby and Chilipage at waschefm dot com. And
as always, Chilly and I love hearing your stories on
Mondays that really speak to you so that we can
share it. So share it with us. Find us the
