Toby and Chili Mornings on Demand on ninety seven point
one wash up out.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
If this vitamin seawood kick in, I'd find some joy
this morning. Toby and Chili in the Morning. It's ninety
seven point one wash um. You know it's it's It
goes without saying that you can find something, anything, really
to give you a little bit of joy in the morning.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
So why are you feeling good before five o'clock? This one?
I say this.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
I watched you as a fan doing an interview yesterday
and it made me better.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Oh what are you talking about talking about?
Speaker 2 (00:32):
We went to our holiday party and you and I
had a.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Long story short.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Yeah, found out it about noon that I could have
had like lunch with little Joey McIntyre of the New
Kids and a friend of his that's kind of his person.
And I was like, I could do this, but that
wouldn't be cool. I go because the blockhead here is Chili.
So I'm like, let me, I go. You cool if Chili's.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Down there, Yeah, the more the merrier, and I'm like,
bring it on down then all right.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
It was lovely. He's a lovely person, Joe McKenney.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
He certainly has he's no shortage of words. I mean,
he talked a lot. I don't even know where to
begin to edit the audio.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
Yeah, well, because I mean part of that, yeah, part
of that is my fault because I didn't ask like
quick answer question. I was just talking to him as
a human, trying.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
To say and we need to do more of that.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
I think it was more like an in depth like
getting I don't know it was. It was a very deep, yeah,
very cool conversation, at least for me and being a fan,
you know what I mean, Like I don't know in
that way.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Yeah, that's the thing. Like you came at it from
the fan angle.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
I came at it from the life angle, and it
just was like a you know, there's sometimes when they
don't give us enough time to talk, and that was
one of those times because little Joy McIntyre had a
lot to say and that gave me some joy seeing
you giddy talking with him yesterday. I'm not just saying
that to blow sunshine up here, Posterior, No, I.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Mean what's great is when you meet somebody you admire, right,
and they don't just meet your expectations, they exceed your expectations.
And so yeah, that was great. That's why we're both
feeling good today.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
Yes, feeling good but tired. Yes.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
And you see in that case, like, what does the
survey they say, would you rather take a hundred bucks
or a bonus? Or would you rather have a holiday party?
I will say, I am so glad that we had
a holiday party.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Well, there are some people who did get some bonuses.
But where do you stand? Eight six six, ninety seven
forty thirty sixty one that's the number bonus or a
holiday party? Would you rather have like one hundred bucks
cash or a really good party with.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
A new kid?
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Oh, come on, come on, So feel free to jump
into the conversation. Let's get it started with Toby and
Chilly in the morning. Welcome to December fourth. Everybody survey
says ninety percent of people who are asked would rather
have a one hundred dollars holiday bonus over some sort
of a holiday party. Now, last night, in all the
full disclosure, not that this matters to you, but we
(03:06):
had a little bit of a holiday sore around here
at ninety seven point one Wash FM 're Tilby and
Chilly in the Morning and it was at Charlie Prime
in Rio down in Montgomery County and there was a
member of the New Kids that little joy back entire week.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
Yes, now, okay, if you just asked me that question, generally, right,
you have to take into account. I think, like, what
is your holiday party providing you? That isn't going to
be as comparable to one hundred dollars cash and access
to cool music from somebody live like that was worth it? Right,
So I would take the holiday party? What about you
(03:43):
one hundred dollars?
Speaker 2 (03:46):
I mean, you know, especially if I'm going to go
stand around and have some free food and free drinks,
which I'm not drinking.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
I mean, you know what, bring me a hundred bucks
and let me go spend that on.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
Whatever whatever you want. You know, and you're the majority
of the people making that money.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Eight six six ninety two seven forty three sixty one
jump to the phone. Would you rather have an elaborate
holiday party or would you take one hundred dollars holiday bonus?
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Karen? Listening this morning? How are things in Fairfax? So
what would you choose?
Speaker 3 (04:15):
Hands down?
Speaker 1 (04:16):
One hundred dollars bonus?
Speaker 2 (04:17):
Everybody gets so wasted at the holiday party and you
don't remember it anyway.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
Well, if you're getting that wasted. You're lucky if you
don't lose your job, amongst other things.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Age six, six, nine, two, seven, forty three sixty one,
Leslie and Montgomery Village.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Where do you stand?
Speaker 3 (04:33):
Oh, I know this is going to sound a little crazy.
That's the party for sure. We've got one in each
column so far.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
And I can understand where she's coming from, because morale
is a thing, and sometimes these holiday parties can be
morale boosters.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Caitlin and Ford, Washington. What's your choice?
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Hundred dollars or would you like to have an extravagant holiday.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
Party this year?
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Just give me one hundred dollar bona this year?
Speaker 3 (04:56):
Just give me one hundred bucks.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Well, it looks like the uh con and it says
has spoken this early morning, much like the consensus that
spoke on the survey that prompted this conversation, the majority
of people would take the bonus over the party.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
All right, managers, time to cancel that party.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
Write those checks, please do and make sure you get
the name right. Let's not even add it to the check.
Can you just give me a gift card? That'd be okay.

but you know, Joel Ostein is a motivational kind of
a guy. You put personal beliefs aside, and he's onto
something when he says that hard times it may have
held you down, but they will not last forever. When

are so many places to have a good cry.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
It's true.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
So if you were to have a good cry somewhere
in d C or even the DMV, where would it be,
feel free to jump in.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
You know you had a good cry just the other day.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
Eight sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty one
is the number of talkbacks wide open too. If you're
signed into your iHeart app listening to us, then you'll

Good cry place in the district next with Toby and
Chilly in the morning. Yes, you might be having a
holly jolly Christmas, but sometimes you need to have a
good cry.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Toby and Chilly in the morning.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
It's ninety seven point one watch FM where the number
is eight sixty six ninety two seven forty three sixty one.
There is a woman who has put together a list
of places in the DMV in DC proper where I guess.
She says she likes to go have a good cry,
and a lot of people are following her on TikTok.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Yeah, well, if you want to follow her, it's Crying
in DC is literally her handle. And she said she
started this after she had a particularly rough summer and
then she started taking notes of all the public places
that she would kind of let that release. And one
of the most commonplaces is the yards.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Yeah, I can see why. And Nationals lose. Now I've
got a casino over there. You lose your buttocks well
for to gamble.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
Buzzard uh buzzard point point, she said, was another one
that comes up anywhere. If you can find like a
quiet metro car, like if it's kind of not rush
hour is a good place is a good place to
kind of let that release. If I were to choose,
I'm gonna ask you so think about where.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
You would you I wouldn't cry on a metro car.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
Well, I'm sure people would assume it was because you're
having a horrible, you know, experience with something. But like
if it were me, I would love the Title Basin
right along the water, to go there when no one's
around and just to let it all go.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
What about you?
Speaker 2 (12:27):
I had a spiritual moment once at night in DC.
This town's monuments when lit up or just majestic, and
I was on the National Mall in front of the
Lincoln Memorial, and for whatever reason, just seeing Lincoln thinking
of his story and reading that whole thing about you know,
in the Hearts of the Nation and shrining this memory he.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
Made that whole thing made you cry.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
Yeah, the whole moment just kind of took me and went.
Speaker 3 (12:51):
I think though, that that's also a good location for
somebody to just get away, go for a drive, sit
there at the memorial and cry as well.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
No, that would be for me sixty six coming toward
d C, because I'd be stuck in traffic and I'd
have a good cry there. Okay, no, but that's it's
but it really is a good place to It's a
good place to have a good cry, and sometimes it's
therapeutic to have a good PRIs. So if you've got
someplace where you've had a good cry in DC, we
would love to hear about it. You can tap the
(13:21):
talkback microphone. It's wide open for you if you're signed
into your iHeart app. And speaking of crying, there's no
crying when it comes to your nearly impossible question. Let's
at least hope, not Tolby.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
And Chill's nearly impossible question.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
Only winning. And in this case, what's the question?
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Well, this Christmas poem was actually originally called a Visit
from Saint Nicholas. But what is it called today?
Speaker 2 (13:45):
Eight sixty six ninety two, seven forty three sixty one

day like every year. Thanks to Live Nation, You've got

(14:08):
Christmas joy. Here's the question again.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
Well, this Christmas poem was originally titled A Visit from
Saint Nicholas? But what is it called today?
Speaker 1 (14:15):
All right?
Speaker 2 (14:15):
Eight sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty one
is the number you've got the question? If you want
to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra Capital one Arena in
the third row? Thank you, Live Nation, call now, get
it right? When the game is on for this Wednesday Morning.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
Telby and Chilly's nearly impossible question, and the question one
more time is well, this Christmas poem was originally titled
a Visit from Saint Nicholas? But what is it called today?
Speaker 2 (14:41):
If you want to sit in the third row to
see the Trans Siberian Orchestra, we can make that happen.
All you have to do is get that question right,
Guess correctly, and when Thank you to Live Nation in Fairfax, Amanda,
good morning. Do you do you know where my voice went?
Have you seen it anywhere? Because it's missing? Oh?
Speaker 3 (14:57):
Same here right on.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
Well, you've got to question, what is your guest? This morning?
Speaker 3 (15:03):
Was the night before Christmas? Was the night before Christmas?
Twas a visit from Saint Nicholas, And that is the
correct answer.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
Where did Saint Nicholas go on this night before Christmas?
Speaker 1 (15:16):
All through the house, another creature was stirring except for
the mouse. I'm just making up the new rhyme in
my head.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
A new Christmas tradition is about to start for you, hopefully.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
That's right, Amanda from Fairfax.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
When you sit in the third row to see the
Trans Siberian Orchestra, Congratulations, that is the correct answer.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
Aw thank you, You're welcome.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
And if you find my voice, let me know where
it is. Help me find it somewhere. I think it's
someplace in northern Virginia right now.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
It's called vocal rest, which is hard for us to
do in this business. Possibly tomorrow morning, though we do
have second row seats to go see the tso with
our nearly impossible question.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
So be here to play and win.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
And if you need the news top stories at the
top of the hour that is on the way in
minutes with ninety seven point one Wash FM. Good Boreden
and congratulations again, Menda, thank you,
