Speaker 1 (00:00):
Toby and Chilly Mornings on Demand on ninety seven point one.
Why shut out?

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Clearly the good news is that it's a federal holiday
honoring the life of doctor Martin Luther King, and so
many people I know don't have work today, and clearly
it's a good day to feel good before five because
the Redskins have done something they haven't done in thirty
years since Joe Gibbs was the coach.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
This weekend, yes, the Commanders are going to the NFC
Championship game.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Yes, it should be very interesting. They just outplayed the Lions.
I'm sure that the number one seed is still gobsmacked
by it. But you know what, on any given Sunday,
these things can happen. The Commanders wanted it more, and
that's just the way it is.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
I think everybody wanted it. But they certainly outplayed them
and it was glorious to see. And I must say, now,
why not us when it comes to winning the Super Bowl?

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Well, the Eagles might have something to say about that.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
And we've beaten the Eagles.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
Before during the regular season.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
That was earlier. There's been a lot of weeks that
have gone by. Yes, we'll have to see. It'll be
interesting to see what happens in Philadelphia where they booed
Santa Claus. So it should be a very interesting crowd environment.
But you know, I like the fact that the last
night's game, I don't like the outcome because I like
the Ravens, but I like the fact that there's something.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
There's a new team in the mix, now, you know
what I mean.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Buffalo Bills.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Yeah, the Bills are like you know, they they love
playing in this like crazy weather, and so that was
a good game too. It was just it was a great,
great weekend of football. It felt good to be able
to stay up and watch it all. I don't know
about you.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Oh yeah, it was glorious. Again, I use that word
because that is the perfect word. Usually I don't get
to watch games like this because they're on later in
the day or in the middle of the day when
I got to do stuff. But it was nice to
see the Commanders for sure, and they're gonna be playing
if I'm not mistaken, correct me if I'm wrong Sunday
at three, which is another good time slot right to watch.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
I will take off Monday now justin case.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
And I would actually go to Philly if I were
you to watch the game because that atmosphere is insane.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Okay, And I'm surprised he didn't bring up the whole
TikTok was only quote unquote banned for like sixteen hours.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
Oh there's a lot we could say about that.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
But anyway, notice somewhere in my black Commander's jersey today
custom that's right, because I have a reason too. We'll
talk about TikTok, more about the commanders, and so much
more on this Monday. It's a holiday in the nation's capital,
where Toby and Chilly in the morning time to wake up.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
First it was.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Gone, then it came back talking about TikTok, which by law,
I guess, is now banned in the United States. However,
that law got a reprieve because President Trump's gonna review
it once it gets sworn in at noon today, Toby
and Chilly in the morning, it's ninety seven point one, WASCHFM.
Lots of people last week. We're looking for a TikTok alternative.
Some people can't just leave well enough alone and go

(02:52):
back to Instagram. No, they need their TikTok. And I
guess I understand people are making money.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Well, they're making a lot of money and a lot
of people use it for entertainment. To clear the ban
was lifted, but it's just for what sixty to ninety days.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
Yeah, you might still be out of luck.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
You might never know unless they sell it to an
American company or something happens and they feel like it's
not stealing your data and giving it to you know,
Chinese intelligence services.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Okay, so let's do a hypothetical right now. Let's say
it is truly banned. You got a taste of it
for sixteen hours. Could you live without TikTok?

Speaker 2 (03:26):
I didn't even notice it was gone until I looked
online and I saw the little thing, and I'm like, okay,
well there it is. And by the way, it's still
not available I guess in app stores for now.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
No, you can't download it you don't already have.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
So, you know, I barely even noticed it was gone
because honestly, it's not my primary social media dujore you.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
I don't use it a lot, but I do not
like the idea of banning something that people want to
or enjoy using.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Leslie, good morning, Thanks for listening in Oxen Hill. You've
got thoughts on this whole TikTok thing. If it goes away,
would you ultimately miss it?

Speaker 3 (03:58):
I will not miss tikiole talk one iota. I think
it's incredibly toxic and a waste of brain space.

Speaker 5 (04:04):
So I'll be reading books.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
I don't want anything to replace TikTok because I don't
want to waste my time.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Is that book on your phone? No, Well that's okay
because it's still a book. It's reading, it's not worrying
about what some people are posting and mindless scrolling. Tom, Hello,
thank you for listening to Kensington. Would you miss TikTok
if it were gone?

Speaker 3 (04:24):
I am not going to miss TikTok. TikTok is a disease,
and honestly, Instagram has turned into TikTok. YouTube has turned
into TikTok. So why are people lamenting over this. It's
like ten thirty second whatever videos and it's just destroying
the attention span of the youth.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
Well, ignorance is bliss. Let them eat cake disease.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
You say, good lord, what's the cure.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
There is no cure, only words to inspire you to
keep on going. And that's where our morning mindset comes in.
Next one of those phrases that will help you to
get over the fact that TikTok may still.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
Be bye bye, but not today. That's on the way.
Stay with us.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Now, it's time for your morning mindset. On this the
twentieth day of January. It's Doctor Martin Luther King Day
and day we honor the life and legacy of the
great civil rights leader who calls us to serve today,
to do acts of service because that's what makes humanity great.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
So Doctor King is our quote today Chile.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
For the morning mindset. So what can we take from
his words?

Speaker 2 (05:23):
The Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King says, faith is taking
the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase.
Sometimes it's about faith. You don't know where that staircase
is going to end. You might take a turn on
that staircase that makes you wonder, what does this even
mean or why?

Speaker 4 (05:38):
And you know what, that doesn't matter. Man.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Faith means taking that first step even if you don't
know where the staircase is gonna lead. You don't see
the whole staircase, you don't know where it's gonna end.
And it also means continuing to take those steps even
if the stairs might lead to someplace interesting in root.
You know the Reverend doctor Martin Luther King. On this
day we celebrate his life and legacy. Faith is taking
the first step, even when you don't see the whole

(06:03):
staircase at your morning mindset. If it helped, you can
share it with somebody who might need to hear it.
Find it at Toby and Chilipage at washfm dot com.
The meantime, stay there, we get some entertainment news for
you coming up next. We call it Shoby's Buzz. What's
going on, Joe?

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Were Snoop Dogg getting some backlash online after an unexpected
performance over the weekend.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Maybe you heard hmmm, stay there for that time for
some entertainment news here on this Monday morning, the twentieth
of January, Toby and Chilly in the morning. It's ninety
seven point one WASHFM. Call it Shobiz Buzz Chilly. What
do we need to know?

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Well, in case you missed it, Snoop Dogg put on
a show at President elect Trump's inauguration event this weekend
and got mixed reactions. He performed at the Crypto Ball
Friday night, and he's now receiving some backlash for it,
with a lot of people questioning if his performance is
him sort of co signing Trump's policies. TikTok was dark
for about sixteen hours from Saturday evening to Sunday morning.

(06:57):
When users reopen the app, a message popped up thing
users for their patients and also praising President Electrump for
getting the app back online. The company said Trump assured
them that they would not face penalties for continuing to
provide Americans access to the app. The Critics' Choice Awards
being postponed yet again because of the wildfires. The ceremony

(07:20):
will now take place February seventh in Santa Monica. Organizers
are saying, though, that the red carpet special before the
ceremony is not going to be taking place this year,
and a typed early draft of the lyrics to Bob
Dylan's Mister Tambourine Man sold for five hundred and eight
thousand dollars at auction yesterday. Those lyrics were tossed to
a trash can by Tillan back in nineteen sixty four

(07:43):
after we spent the night writing them At Rock. Journalist
al Aernosky Aeronowitz's I can't say the name New Jersey home.
Aaronowitz actually rescued them from the trash, thank goodness, and
then ended up passing them down to his children. And
that is your showbiz buzz.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
It's a tough word to sound on Monday morning. I
feel you, but at least they saved it from the
trash and they made some bank off of it. Toby
and Chilly in the morning here at ninety seven point one,
washef Then there's a lot of news in DC today.
Maybe you've heard there's like an inauguration at noon. That
news and more on the way with top stories at
the top of the hour. Stay right here.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Top Stories, Top of the Hour.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
President elect Trump rallied supporters on stage at Capitol One
Arena yesterday, a day before he takes the oath of office.
He celebrated the return of TikTok and pledged significant action
on his first day in office, as he expected to
sign more than fifty executive orders today. Now, over twenty
five thousand law enforcement personnel are going to be focused
on security around the US Capital and Capitol Win Arena.

(08:46):
Now that the inauguration ceremony and parade have been moved indoors,
Metro also adjusted its operations today, opening at five am
and running a regular weekday schedule. The first hostages released
by Hamas are receiving medical treatment at a hospital in
Tel Aviv. IDF officials say the three Israeli women appear
to be in good health. Over the next six weeks,

(09:08):
thirty three Israeli hostages are expected to be released in
exchange for nineteen hundred Palestinian prisoners. The Buffalo Bills and
the Philadelphia Eagles are a step closer to the Super
Bowl after windsy yesterday, and that came down to the
final minutes. Now next Sunday we'll see the Eagles host
the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship, while Buffalo travels

(09:30):
to take on Kansas City for the AFC title. And
today happens to be a fee free day at National
Park Service sits in celebration of Martin Luther King Junior Day.
The next free admission day is going to be April nineteenth,
which is the first day of the National Park Week.
Forecasts for today frigid best word to describe it. Partly cloudy.

(09:53):
HAI's only getting up to about twenty five right now.
Twenty in Riverdale stay warm.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
That's the news. Toby and Chillian in the morning. Ninety
seven point one WASHFM. We're next. You know you've heard
me say before that I believe in the sanctity of dreams.
But I've never told you that sometimes my dreams, more
often than not, are like a never ending Netflix series,
only they don't give me all ten of the episodes
at once. I have to go to sleep, and maybe

(10:19):
I get to return to that series already in progress.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
It's an interesting thing about.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
The way I dream, and maybe you can relate to it,
or maybe you're one of these dream therapists listening this
early morning. Eight sixty six ninety two, seven forty three
sixty one is the number if you feel like you
want to jump in and talk about these dreams. Tell
you more about this coming up in just a few
tell me un till you in the morning. It's ninety
seven point one wash FM. Thank you for making us
preset number one on your iHeart app. It's one of

(10:46):
the new features that really is like putting your car's
entertainment system in the palm of your hand. If you
don't have it, get your favorite app store. I've never
talked about this before. Although I've talked about dreams and
how I really think there's something to dreams. I've immune
with my grandmother and friends who I've lost along the
way in dreams, but this is the first time I've

(11:06):
ever really admitted that my dreams are at times like
watching a Netflix series when it's released, only I don't
get every episode at once.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
So you mean it's not just a recurring dream.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
No, it's like the same theme to the dream that
just keeps going. And in our next episode of Toby's Dream,
they'll be this, and then the next episode of Toby's Dream,
they'll be this. But I don't know what the next
episode is going to be. I just know it's all
part of the same sequence.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
A continuation of your dream storyline.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
Yeah, it's exactly what it's like. It's like a storyline
for certain dreams. That's not to say that I don't
have normal, fleeting dreams.

Speaker 4 (11:45):
I do.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
But but sometimes you revisit an old dream of pickup
where it left off.

Speaker 4 (11:49):
Correct.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Wait can you do that? Okay, So let's say you're
let's say I'm dreaming about meeting up with the George Kleining.
I don't know at a random charity event, and oh
I wake up and I'm like, darn it. I wish
I would have known how that ended. At some point
down the road, I'm going to go back to that.
You go back to that dream.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
It could be a month later, it could be two
months later, it could be six months later. What could
be three weeks later, it could be any time. I
can't explain it. I don't know how or why it happens,
but it does. So if anybody knows what's going on
in my head, let me know, because I'm still trying
to figure that out.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
I mean, I would love to know what kind of
is that called? Like series dreaming. I've never heard of the.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
Fact, I don't even know like this.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Literally, when you and I were kind of, you know,
role playing what we were going to talk about on
the show today, I mentioned that to you and I
just I never I had never brought it up to anybody.
I don't even know what it is, and it's happened
for as long as I can remember.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
Can you ask yourself tonight before you go to sleep, Okay,
you know what, let's revisit that dream from last month.

Speaker 4 (12:51):
You can't trust it, can't do it.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
It just happens.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
It has to happen when it happens, and I don't
know what it is that triggers it to happening, but.

Speaker 4 (12:59):
It just happens.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
It's just the most bizarre, strange thing about dreams.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
And I do wonder, like to your point, if this
is just unique to you, or if anyone listening has
a similar thing happen with the dream continuation.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Well, on your iHeart app, there's a talkback microphone. If
you're signed in listening to it and you've made us
preset number one, Well tap that talkback microphone and tell
us what kind of dreams do you have? Does that
sound weird to you? Is it just nuts? Do I
need more therapy? Well the answer is yes. But you
know what, feel free to jump into the conversation. Look
forward to hearing what you have to say.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Shelby and Chili's nearly impossible question.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
Do you mean time?

Speaker 2 (13:37):
We got a game to play on this Monday morning,
Doctor King Day? So what is the question?

Speaker 3 (13:42):
So fifty five percent of people have not done this
with their phone in the last three years? What is it?

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Think about it called eight sixty six, ninety seven forty
three sixty one When yourself a little Trousseau gift card
one hundred dollars worth of lingerie just in time for
Valentine's Day. It's self care or it's a gift for
you to give to somebody who needs a little lingerie
care in their life. Here's the question again one more time.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Fifty five percent of people haven't done this with their
phone in the last three years. What is it?

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Eight six, six, nine, two, seven, forty three sixty one?
If you know the answer this early Monday morning, January twentieth,
call us now we'll learn something new together and you'll
win that Trousseau gift card for one hundred dollars from
ninety seven point one Watch Chef m and Toby and
Chilli in the morning.

Speaker 4 (14:25):
The answer is on the way Toby and.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
Chilli's nearly impossible question.

Speaker 4 (14:28):
Brendon, you need some lingerie this morning? What's going on?

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (14:31):
I needed Teddy boy.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
Let's do this alrighty? Then, well, here's the question again.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
Fifty five percent of people have not done this with
their phone in the last three years. What is it?

Speaker 2 (14:43):
For one hundred dollars Trousseau gift card? So you can
go get that Teddy survey says.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
Leave a message of the beet voicemail.

Speaker 4 (14:50):
Is the last time you changed yours?

Speaker 3 (14:51):
Yeah, it has been the same since probably nineteen eighty eight.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
I can't remember when the last time I changed mine was,
but I know that I did tweak it, maybe in
the last six months or so.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
But oh no, that's much better. I mean, I'm not
back to nineteen eighty eight, but it's it's been a
minute since I've touched mind.

Speaker 4 (15:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
Some people don't even set the thing. They just let
the machine do this. Nobody's here right now. I leave
a message.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
I don't like that. Great, guess changing your voicemail is
the answer. Fifty five percent of people haven't done this
in the last three years.

Speaker 4 (15:23):
Under Donard Trousseau gift card, it's yours.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
Congrats ninety ninety alrighty, well, thank you and enjoy or
whomever you give this gift card.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
Two.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
I hope they enjoy whatever you get from Trousseau for them,
Thanks for waking up. A ninety seven point one was
CHEFM on this federal holiday Doctor King Day slash Inauguration Day.
More Trusseau gift cards all this week with your nearly
impossible question right around six twenty here at ninety seven
point one was CHEFM, and the news is on the way.
Top stories at the top of the hour right around

Speaker 1 (15:57):
Top stories top of the hour.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Eliminating DEI mandates and closing US borders are among President
elect Trump's plans on his first day as president. That
is what he told supporters last night at a victory
rally at Capital One Arena. Trump will be sworn inside
the Capital Rotunda at noon today.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Now.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
A number of security changes are being made for the
inauguration ceremony and parade now that they've been moved indoors.
Law enforcement's going to be focused on security around the
US Capital and Capital One Arena. Travelers who head home
after inauguration may get a warmer welcome than when they
boarded their flights at Reagan National Airport. The heating system

(16:37):
at the airport broke Friday night, and update posted over
the weekend said that some alternative heating sources were now
being used. TikTok restored service yesterday after President elect Trump
said he would issue an executive order keeping the app
more or giving the app rather more time to find
a US based owner. TikTok had stopped working for US

(17:00):
users late Saturday night. In case you missed it, the
Washington Commanders are in the NFC Championship for the first
time since nineteen ninety one after they defeated the Lions Saturday.
Washington's going to be traveling up to Philly to take
on the Eagles in the NFC Championship game Sunday at
three and according to a recent survey, sixty four percent

(17:21):
of Americans admit to having work related nightmares. Being late
for work is number one. Getting fired comes in second,
followed by landing a new job. Forecast today it's going
to be frigid, so bundle up if you've got to
be outside. Party. Claudie only getting up to twenty five
right now, twenty in Vienna.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
Thanks for making us preset number one on your iHeart app.

Speaker 4 (17:41):
Where's Toby and Chile in the morning.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
It's one of the new features you'll find on the
app if you've got it from your favorite app store.
Just minutes, we're going to talk about you and how
big of a fan are you. How far have you
gone to support your favorite sports team? Could be a
pro sports team, could be a college team. I know
people who have gone out of control, so to speak,
to prove their pandemonium for teams of all types. We'll

(18:04):
talk about this coming up, and if you want to
get ahead, start and jump into the conversation. It's eight
sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty one. Feel
free to call now or tap the talkback microphonef for
Sunday to your iHeart app and leave us your thoughts
as we get into this coming up.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
You made us free set number one on your new
iHeart app. Right, it's one of the new features.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
If you haven't checked it out yet, it's available at
your favorite app store.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
It's free.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
It's ninety seven point one wash FM Toby and Chilly
in the Morning at eight sixty six nine two seven
forty three sixty one.

Speaker 4 (18:30):
Let's talk about your team.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
Your professional sports team, your college sports team, your high
school sports team, could be your intermurro league team. How
far have you gone to root for your team? What's
the biggest thing you've done. There's a guy in a
Baltimore I guess who's a Ravens fan. He gets a
different tattoo for every time the Ravens win.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
Right until they win a Super Bowl. Well, that's gonna
be a lot more tattoo.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
It's gonna be another year at least for that one.
And then what about this guy that I saw around
the Internet of things. I think you showed me the
guy from Detroit with the lion on his calf.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
Yeah, that said that they won the Super Bowl. He
was being very presumptuous. So now he's got a tattoo
with incorrect information. Look, it's one thing to paint your
hair or even shave your head because that stuff will
grow back. A tattoo just seems a bit over the top. Well,
you know, show your fandom, you know, have done things.

Speaker 4 (19:24):
You know they've gotten tattoos.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Maybe the dude thought, you know, they really would win,
and maybe he was like participating some kind of zany
radio contest to get some tickets to the big Game,
the Super Bowl, in return for getting a tattoo.

Speaker 4 (19:35):
Whoops, your team lost.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
Nope, it's not gonna happen.

Speaker 4 (19:38):
It's a reminder, it's a good story.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
It's a bit extra. I mean, you're a sports fan too, honestly, Like,
what's the most over the top thing? If any?

Speaker 4 (19:46):
Have you done too much work?

Speaker 2 (19:50):
I think maybe I wore some zoobads those tiger strip
pants to something once.

Speaker 4 (19:55):
But the numb well, I.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
Will say, just from observing, you do like to get
cuss some jerseys.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
Oh yeah, like I enjoy wearing a jersey of the
teams that I like and whatnot.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
That's fine.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
But like your name on the back, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
If it makes if it makes sense. But yeah no,
but that's about as far as it's gonna go. I'm
not gonna paint my face red. I'm not going to
sunburn the team's logo into my nap back or whatever.

Speaker 4 (20:18):
No people have done that.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
It's just ridiculous. And you've never done anything quite that crazy.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
No, I mean the only again, if I'm cheering loudly
at the venue, I've lost my voice, and that that
seems a bit much.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
What about your husband, who's a big Caps fan. He's
a huge Caps fan.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
He doesn't do anything with I mean, I don't think
you measure your loyalty or how big of a fan
you are by going cuckoo.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
You know that's a good point. Well, what about his
local hockey team, his neighborhood. Yeah, it's bare league.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
Oh, he doesn't do anything crazy.

Speaker 4 (20:47):
He doesn't do anything crazy to it for him.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
I'm just saying eight six six, nineteen seven, forty three
sixty one. Hit us up and tell us what's the
most you've done to root for your team. How far
have you gone? Have you tattooed yourself, sunburnt yourself? Maybe
you painted your face, painted your body, Maybe you did
it over the weekend for the commander's win. Call us
now tell us everything we love hearing from you, and

(21:10):
we're gonna hear one of these stories in just a
few minutes that we think might just make your Monday.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
It comes to us from Prince George's County.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
A local taco restaurant and what they're doing to help
food insecure kids in Prince George's and Montgomery Counties.

Speaker 4 (21:23):
Stay there for even more. It'll make your Monday.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
Food from Uber eats from this place even more. Time
for a story that we think might just make your Monday.
There's a taco stand, a taco restaurant that got it
start on Rude one in Prince George's County that's now
working to pay the lunch debt that's backed up in
the county school system in Prince George's County over the
last few years.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
We're talking about a Little Minor Taco.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
Well, for years, a Little Taco would give away kids
meals for free, but last year the owner decided to
start charging three dollars per kids meal at their Brentwood
location and they said the proceeds would be given to
the Excellence and Education Foundation, which is a nonprofit that
helps support the school system like covering costs that are

(22:10):
associated with school breakfasts and lunches.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
And this is important because it's more than sixty percent
of the county students eligible for free or reduced price meals.
So and food in security is a thing. Have you
ever seen a hungry kid try to learn at school?
It just does not work out. And so they've stepped
in a Little Minor Taco.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
So what they do is they sort of get an
account for amount of kids meals sold on a quarterly basis,
and then they make the donation kids meals bought up.
Their location in Rockville also leads to donations to a
similar foundation that operates in Montgomery County. So it's not
just in Prince George's County that they're helping out.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
No Little Minor Taco, they've been giving back to kids
and fighting food in security since the shutdown from that
whole pandemic thing, and now they continue with this program
to make sure that students have the well in the
well being in the form of a good meal. Little
minor taco with a story that we thought might just

(23:08):
make your Monday, because it made ours and that's why
we wanted to share it with you, and if you
would like to share it with somebody, find it the

Speaker 3 (26:24):
I saw a bunch of people from the DMV actually
flying to Detroit, or flew to Detroit to watch the
Commanders beat the Lions. Can you imagine how expensive this
must have been. That's extra rooting right there.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
Sure, I love this dude rally Captain on X formerly
known as Twitter. If you follow him, that guy goes everywhere.
You see him in planes, He's like, he's like Captain Inbound.

Speaker 4 (26:47):
I'm like, there he is with with Josh Harris. I
mean that man.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
Loves him the Commanders and he just goes everywhere. But
he doesn't like go painting his face or dress up
like you know those those hog farmers do from the Commanders.
That being said, chilly, how big of a fan are you.
What's the craziest thing you've done while rooting for a team.
I know you've got this thing for the Cap.

Speaker 3 (27:06):
I've got a lot of things for a lot of
local sports but I got to say. I don't do
anything quote unquote crazy, but I do cheer so loud
I lose my voice. Sometimes you won't.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
Paint your face, You won't make a custom outfit for
one of these things.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
Yeah, no, No, I haven't done all that.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
Yeah, I mean neither. It's too much work. I just

a fan are you of your team? What have you
done that's just out of control to root for them?

Speaker 5 (27:59):
Tell us every My husband was on a lacrosse team
and I went there to cheer Amont, but I guessed
the wives and I had a little too much to drink,
and we just decided to start our own cheer squad.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
And what did you do.

Speaker 5 (28:11):
We stood on the sidelines and felt it out, these
cheers from our old high school days.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
And that's what you call a core memory with adult beverages.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
