Toby and Chilly Mornings on demand on ninety seven point
one wash Out.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Toby and Chilly in the Morning, Welcome till Wednesday. It's
the fifth day of February. In the Nation's capital at
ninety seven point one wash CHEFM. It's always good to
start your day by feeling good about something, and no
matter what you're going through in life, there is a
reason to feel good, Like, for instance, when you have
to hit the brakes and suddenly everything in your car

(00:26):
goes flying. And one of the things that goes flying
is a check from one of the clinical trials I
had to do that.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
I just totally forgot that I even had.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
I mean, oh my god, I won't it's not enough
to retire on. But it's more than I thought I had.
And a win is a win. Is a win? Is
a win is a win? Yeah, so expired, It's all good. No,
I was very thankful. I couldn't believe it. I was like, wow,
look at that. I just didn't even realize. I just
put it up there and left it there. You know,
reason to feel good? What about you?

Speaker 1 (00:58):
I'm feeling good because I remember to bring my protein
into work today. Nothing more frustrating than arriving to work
going well, I'm gonna be hungry.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
The worst is when you leave it like on the counter,
and you get home and it's all war.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
Whoa, and then you have to trash it.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Yes, it's like that's no bueno.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
That's I can't tell you how many things of milk
I've gone through like that.

Speaker 5 (01:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Bad.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
And I can't eat the stuff in the kitchen, the
snacks and stuff. That stuff is it's got inflammatory ingredients.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
There's a big word chili with this.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
She shoots and she scores with the vocabulary inflammatory ingredients.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
I don't do the stuff, even the free stuff in
the kitchen. Not good for my body.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
No, well, you know they didn't say that. They didn't
say that things that taste good would always be good
for your body.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Now, did they?

Speaker 4 (01:49):
I guess not.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Well, you know what is good for the soul and
good for your body. Knowing what the weather is gonna do,
no doubt you probably saw some weather alert.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Maybe you've got some texts.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Maybe you've heard there's going to be some interesting winter
weather tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
And when the weather gets interesting, who do we call?

Speaker 1 (02:08):
ABC First Alert meteorologist Eileen Whalen.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
She'll be here next to tell us what we can
expect with ninety seven point one WASH FM, Toby at
Chili in the morning, time to wake up DC just
after five o'clock with Toby at Chilly in the morning
here at ninety seven point one wash FM. Where depending
on where you are, you're waking up to like a
winter weather advisory. I know in Montgomery County the alerts
started going off yesterday. I'm sure Chilly they did for

(02:33):
you two over at Fairfax. So we decided we would
call this early morning Eileen Whalen to see what's going on.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Hello, good morning, ABC First Alert Meteorologist Eileen.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
Can you tell us what we can expect.

Speaker 6 (02:47):
Winter weather advisories for the DC metro So that includes
for those of us in Montgomery, Fairfax, in DC Prince
George's counties as well. That's going to start at nine
pm tonight. I'm all last th ten am tomorrow. Now,
this is not going to be a snow event, guys,
so it's more going to be sleet and freezing rain.

Speaker 7 (03:03):
So first, let me tell you the difference between the two.
And I love food. I love donuts, so we're going
to equate it to that.

Speaker 6 (03:10):
So sleet is going to be more of that kind
of sprinkled donuts. Sleet has a beat, so there's a
little ice pellets, and after nine pm tonight.

Speaker 7 (03:16):
We could see a little bit of that and maybe
a little coating of sleep on the ground.

Speaker 6 (03:20):
Freezing rain, however, is like a glazed doughnut, so it's
it's plain rain that falls, but then it's kind of
coats surfaces that are thirty two degrees or lower, So
your car, maybe the windshield, maybe even opening the car
door Tomorrow morning might be a little bit on the
slick side bridges, rams, overpasses, but it's just going to
be really cold and wet tomorrow morning and then it

(03:40):
just changes over to a plane rain. So I think
minimal impacts. I know a lot of people wondering or
we're gonna have any school delays. There's a possibility. I
think higher impacts though, maybe some power outages and more
impacts to travel far north and west around Hagerstown Charlestown,
West Virginia where ice door mornings are in effect. So
I don't know if that makes any sense as far
as you know the sprinkled doughnut, the glaze and the
ice and the sleep, but lots of precipitation types to

(04:03):
talk about.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
It does.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Now that you've made us really hungry, We're thankful we
don't live in western Maryland where I hear it's going
to be a lot worse, exactly, And.

Speaker 7 (04:10):
That's where they could see, you know, potentially a half
inch of ice, and that's when you.

Speaker 6 (04:14):
Know, ice storms definitely become more disruptive. But for us
here locally, you know, even throughout the day, you might
see even maybe a little passing snow shower maybe here
a little bit of some sleep, but again mainly going
to be overnight, and I think a lot of you
listeners are probably going to be seeing the impacts as
you're getting on the road tomorrow morning. Definitely going to
be wet and could be a little bit icy.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
And so what I'm hearing is kiddo's do your homework.

Speaker 6 (04:36):
Okay, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
As parents go.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
All over the DMV knowing that they're not going to
have to worry about any kind of craziness at least
not yet. Now you're hinted about next week, what's that
all about.

Speaker 6 (04:51):
Well, I'm definitely seeing measurable snow, I mean potentially over
five inches, So it's something that our team is going
to be watching out for.

Speaker 7 (05:00):
But you know, parents, I am one as well.

Speaker 6 (05:01):
I know, just maybe kind of think ahead two impacts
to your daily routine with school closing potentially and again
that's going to be about Tuesday, Wednesday of next week,
so we'll monitor that. But of course, right now I'll
focus on just the next twenty four hours in this
current weather maker moving in later tonight.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Well, it sounds like we're going to be speaking with
you again early next week.

Speaker 7 (05:21):
We'll always love the opportunity to chat with you guys.
So hoping you have a great day, stay warm today.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
Thank you, Eileen Whylan.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
And if you need a mindset adjustments, we're here to help.
We found a quote that we can't wait to share
with you. Your morning mindset is on the way and minute
to stay with Toby and Chilly.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
In the morning on this Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Where is your head at on this Wednesday morning as
we close in on the Super Bowl? It's ninety seven
point one watch FM we get ready for winter weather.
Thanks for waking up with Toby and Chilly in the morning.
We're concerned about you and that's why your morning mindset
is here to help you. Get in the right frame
of mind to take on a brand new day.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
And we do that by sharing a quote with you.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Pablo Picasso says this morning, everything you can imagine is real.
Pablo Picasso, everything you can imagine is real.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
No, it's not. No, it is. If you can imagine.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Something, if you can dream something, that makes it real.
It may take time to implement it, it might take
time to build it. But if you can imagine it,
everything you can imagine is real. You just have to believe,
and that starts by believing in you, the person in
the mirror. Pablo Picasso with some inspiration on this Wednesday morning.

(06:39):
If it helped you or you want to hear it again,
you can Toby in Chili page washfm dot com and
from there you can also share it with your friends
that might need a good head. Check this Wednesday morning,
halfway through another week. It's ninety seven point one WASHFM,
Toby and Chilly in the Morning. Some entertainment news. We
call it show biz Buzz. That's next, Chili, What have
you been working on?

Speaker 1 (06:59):
We'll tell you how many people tuned in to watch
the Grammys. Plus Jelly Roll's new role on American Idol.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
But boom boom, right around this time every weekday morning,
we wake you up and we give you some entertainment
news from all over Hollywood. In the world of entertainment,
it's called Showbiz Buzz. At ninety seven point one Wash FM,
Toby and Chilly in the morning, Chilli, what's going on
this morning?

Speaker 1 (07:21):
CBS has Ratings for Sunday's Grammys were good, but not
quite as good as last year's show of fifteen point
four million viewers tuned in. That's down nine percent from
last year. CBS also announced that the show raised nine
million dollars for Southern California wildfire recovery efforts. Jelly Roll
is going to be American idols first ever artist in

(07:42):
residence for the upcoming season. He'll be joining the show
during Hollywood Week and continuing to be a permanent fixture
throughout the season, which, by the way, premieres Sunday, March
ninth on ABC. This year's Met Gala will spotlight men'swear.
The theme for the annual fashion event will be tailored
for you. NBA superstar Lebron James is going to be

(08:04):
serving as honorary co chair along with Pharrell Williams. Coleman Domingo,
Asap Rocky and Lewis Hamilton. The met Gala, by the way,
is going to be taking place May fifth. You know,
Travis Kelcey dodged a question when he was asked if
he would propose to Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl
during your press conference, he said, wouldn't you like to know?
Apparently twenty five percent of people actually think he will

(08:26):
propose if the Chiefs win. And comedian Amber Ruffin is
going to be this year's featured entertainer at the White
House Correspondence Association dinner. Now, the President Trump skipped each
of the dinners that took place during his first term,
so we don't know whether he will attend this year's
dinner that is scheduled for April twenty sixth and DC

(08:48):
And that is your show, busmus real quick.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
How do you feel about that Travis Kelsey story you
just shared with this Chili.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
Well, yesterday I told you I didn't think it was
a good.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Very visceral about it. More News on the Way, Top
Stories at the Top of the Hour. Stay with Telby
and Chile in the morning on a Wednesday.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Top Stories Top of the Hour, President Trump says the
US will take over the Gaza Strip and be responsible
for dismantling all of the dangerous, unexploded bombs and other
weapons on the site, while adding that an economic development
be created. Earlier, he had said that Palestinians have no
alternative but to leave their gaza homes. A Senate committee

(09:31):
voted along party lines in favor of Robert F. Kennedy
Junior's nomination for head of the Department of Health and
Human Services. Also, the Senate Intelligence Committee reportedly voted in
favor of Tulsea Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence. Now
both will move on for a vote on the Senate floor.
The US Postal Service is no longer accepting packages from

(09:53):
China or Hong Kong. However, letters and flat envelopes will
still be accepted. Remains of all all sixty seven victims
from the midair collision near Reagan National have been recovered,
and data showed that the black Hawk and airliner were
flying below designated altitudes. The DC Council voted unanimously yesterday
to remove Ward eight council member Treyon White. He faces

(10:16):
federal bribery charges and an investigation accused him of violating
the Council's Code of conduct. Waffle House has placed a
temporary egg sur charge of fifty cents on every egg
that's ordered at the restaurant. It's all due to the
ongoing egg shortage caused by the bird flu. Travelers in
the DC area will be able to fly directly to

(10:37):
Las Vegas on Frontier Airlines starting May first. The flights
will leave Dulles at eight am each day. Forecast for
today there is a winter weather Advisory in effect from
nine tonight till ten tomorrow morning. Otherwise today cloudy high's
around thirty eight right now thirty one in Woodbridge.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
I am Toby Napp been over there is Chillia Maarin.
We're Toby and Chilian the morning and it's ninety seven
point one?

Speaker 3 (11:01):
WASHEFM? Chilly?

Speaker 2 (11:02):
Who rights this stuff? Toby tempted the devil while cleaning
his oven. Yes, you did tempted the devil.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
Don't truck with no demon. Ziin gonna tempt no devil.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
I might have tempted fate, but I don't know about
the devil, although there was some tempting that went on.
Find out what maybe you've been there. We'll get to
that coming up in minutes. Don't go anywhere this Wednesday morning.
So the other day, Hi Toby and Chilly in the morning,
it's ninety seven point one was CHEFM, thanks for waking
up with this. Eighty six six nine two seven forty
three sixty one is the number, Fiel, Free to call

(11:37):
it anytime other day. I went to run some errands,
no harm, no foul. Running errands is something you do
on the weekend, right, Well, do you run those errands
and then come home and the house is fit smelling,
kind of smoky in some sort of way because you
left yourself cleaning of it on? I mean, are you
not supposed to leave your house with the self cleaning

(11:59):
of it on?

Speaker 4 (12:00):
Wise thing to do?

Speaker 2 (12:01):
So?

Speaker 1 (12:01):
How many times have you ever used that feature on
your oven?

Speaker 6 (12:04):
Me?

Speaker 3 (12:05):
Personally maybe twice.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Significant other I know she's probably used it more than
I have in the time that I've lived in my place,
which is saying something.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
When you left the apartment, how many hours into the
self cleaning did you decide to leave it unattended?

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Oh, must have been about two and a half three hours,
because it was going to take like three hours.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
For the whole thing around, for any of it no.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
I said, oh, you're gonna be doing your self cleaning thing.
I'm like, I'm gonna go run some riatine and when
I get back, you'll be done.

Speaker 4 (12:34):
You and I are wired very different.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
Is that a problem?

Speaker 4 (12:37):
A problem?

Speaker 3 (12:37):
How's that a problem? I mean, other than it's smoked.
Its smoky.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
A simple Google search would have shown you that you
probably shouldn't be leaving your self cleaning oven running while
it's unattended, and you should also make sure that you've
at least cleaned it a little bit, like gotten rid
of some of the chunky stuff at the bottom, which
I hope you did do before you turned it on.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
Well I did do that, okay.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
The reason why I turned on the self cleaning is
because there was the chunky stuff, and then there was
some other like spilled butter stuff, and I was like,
you know what, this needs to be cleaned up. Then
I realized, oh wait, this is a self cleaning oven.
It can can self clean itself. It just gets really
hot and incinerates whatever's in there.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
Incinerates is right. It's like nine hundred something degrees. It's
very very hot, which is why you get that smell,
which is why you should ventilate like oftentimes, like when
we do the self cleaning, I turn on the ventilation
and the kitchen and I always crack open a window
or a door attached to the kitchen just to let
all the air and the smell out because if I
walk if I yeah, I'm not tempting, as I said,

(13:36):
the devil, if I'm gonna.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
Leave that thing running with nobody home. Oh hell no.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
I didn't realize that the self cleaning oven was something
you needed to camp out and wait on, you know,
like I needed to sit there.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
And it's not like a crock pot where you can leave.
You shouldn't be leaving it. That's not a good idea.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
And now you know why I asked you all about
the self cleaning oven and how it worked. It's way
past why my house smelled like smoke. Well, I mean
you did say I was tempting the devil. I don't
prefer to say I was tempting the devil, but I
guess I did tempt some fate. Maybe I dodged a
bullet on this one, or or a scorched biscuits. It's

(14:17):
ninety seven point one wat CHEFM. Shall we play a game. Yes,
let's play a game once I use the right mouse
on the right computer to push this button.

Speaker 7 (14:28):
Shelby and Chilly's nearly impossible question, and what.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
Is it today?

Speaker 1 (14:32):
This is more likely to happen in the kitchen than
any other room in the house. It has nothing to
do with the oven. Okay, so what is it though?

Speaker 2 (14:40):
Eight sixty six nine seven forty three sixty one is
the number. Here's the question one more time.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
This is more likely to happen in the kitchen than
any other room in the house.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
What is it?

Speaker 3 (14:55):
You want to call us right now? Because you are
playing a full He.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Gets to go see Katy Perry ce FG Bank Arena
in August thanks to our friends at Live Nation.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
Perhaps you've heard of Katy Perry. She kissed a girl
and she liked it. If you would like those tickets,
you've got the question call now, answer it right when
your nearly impossible question is on for this Wednesday at
ninety seven points one.

Speaker 3 (15:18):
Wash FM and Chilly's nearly impossible question. Deanna Jessup, good
morning and welcome. How you doing I'm great.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Good morning, glad you're doing so well? Are you ready
for these Katy Perry tickets.

Speaker 7 (15:32):
Yes, I am.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
This is more likely to happen in the kitchen than
any other room in the house.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
What do you.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Think it is answer to be arguing?

Speaker 2 (15:43):
You argue in the kitchen? Is that where you get
into it? What's your significant other in the kitchen?

Speaker 7 (15:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (15:50):
What is it about? How to load the dishwasher?

Speaker 7 (15:53):
It could be anything.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
Where Again, sounds like you have some first hand experience
with this sort of a situation.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Yeah, it's paid off because yeah, that is the answer
and argument is more likely to happen in the kitchen
than any other room in the house.

Speaker 4 (16:11):
Congratulations, Yay, thank you, which.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
Means you're gonna go see Katie Perry when Katy Perry
comes to town cfg Bank Arena, Baltimore this summer. Thank you,
Live Nation tickets belong to you. Don't come after me
with no rolling pen now, don't throw anything like it
wouldn't spoon at me either, and you enjoy the show

(16:35):
from ninety seven point one wash FM or more. Katie
Perry tickets are up for grabs. Maniana with another round
of your nearly impossible question, and the news is on
the way.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
We call it.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
Top stories at the top of the hour coming up
right around seven, Hang with us, won't you?

Speaker 3 (16:50):
On a Wednesday.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
Top Stories, Top of the Hour.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
The first group of criminal migrants recorded from the US
and flown to you one Hanamo Bay. Waking up today
behind bars at the naval base in Cuba.

Speaker 4 (17:04):
The President Trump's proposal to take.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Over the Gaza Strip and rebuild it as getting negative
reactions around the world. Saudi Arabia, Russia, and China are
all coming out against an American occupation of the Palestinian territory.
The remains of all sixty seven victims of last week's
mid air collision of an American Airlines flight and an
Army helicopter near Reagan National have now been recovered. Maryland

(17:29):
leaders unveil the design for the replacement of the Francis
Scott Keybridge in Baltimore. The new bridge will stand taller
and have two lanes in both directions. It will be
wider and have shoulders, and hopefully will be completed in
twenty twenty eight. A bill that would build a casino,
a concert venue, conference center, and hotel in Tyson's has

(17:49):
passed the Virginia Senate. It still needs to be passed
by the House and also signed by the governor. The
NFL is removing the end racism message that would have
been in one of the end zones during the Super Bowl. Instead,
it's replacing the message with the phrase choose love. And
according to a recent survey, nearly half of single men'sday
they would sign up for a charity event just because

(18:11):
their crush was going, and sixteen percent of men confess
they've overexaggerated their volunteer work on their dating profile to
impress potential partners. Forecast, we do have a winter weather
advisory in effect from nine o'clock tonight till ten tomorrow morning.
Cloudy today, thirty eight the high Right now it is

(18:32):
thirty two in DC.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
There you are listening to ninety seven point one watch
Chef m Toby and Chilly in the morning. Where our
numbers eight sixty six, nine two, seven forty three sixty
one two log didn't read Cameron Diaz stepped away from
acting for like ten years, walked on her job for
ten years for whatever reason. Got us thinking, have you
ever walked away from a job that you ended up
going back too much like Cameron did?

Speaker 3 (18:56):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Did you got a good story about it? We'll talk
more about this coming up. In just a few minutes,
and if you want to get into the conversation, you
know the number, you know you can use talk back.
You know you can get a hold of us love
hearing from you, and we will in minutes. Is Toby
and Chili in the Morning continues on this Wednesday.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
The number is eight sixty.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
Six nineteen seven forty three sixty one Toby and Chili
in the Morning. We're talking about this with the microphones
off because it's really interesting. Camera Diaz stepped away from
her career for like a decade. She just said I'm done,
and she has her reasons for saying she's done. But
then't she jumped back into it. And I guess you
saw her work with Jamie Fox.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Yeah, back in Action. It's a movie on Netflix and
I was watching Go.

Speaker 4 (19:40):
You know I missed her.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
She's good at what she does, she looks great, and
she's not the first person to ever go back to
a job they left.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
People do it often.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
Perhaps maybe you have. It's ninety seven point one wash FM.
If you feel free to call us now and tell
us your story. Now, have you ever done this, Chili,
because you know you and I were talking, I've I
never I'm fortunate. I was only ever out of work
for like maybe half of a day and then I
got a new job.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
No, I've never gone back to a job i've left.
I've left for a reason, whatever that reason is, and
I wouldn't go back unless the reason changed. However, our
producer Taylor Shay, well, she's been down this road before.

Speaker 5 (20:19):
Yeah, I've worked at the same place three different occasions.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
So you're leaving for various reasons.

Speaker 5 (20:26):
That this like, yeah, so it's actually wash. I started
here in two thousand and nine and left for a
bigger opportunity. That opportunity ended, I came back for a
second time, left again, and now I'm back as the
producer for Tory and Tilly.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
Were you back full time?

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Like, I'm just curious about that, because, like you know,
when I think when you walk on a job, you're
kind of walking on something that's you're full time gainful,
Like this is what you do for your life for period, right.

Speaker 5 (20:51):
Yeah, the first time I left was for a full
time opportunity.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
And then you come back for you know, it doesn't
really matter for me. It's like, how how is it different? Right?
Like when you come back, what is so different? About
the situation.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
Yeah, because aside from being a glutton for punishment, why
would one go back to something that they walked on?

Speaker 5 (21:14):
Well, to be fair, with three different job titles, three
different positions, so third time working at.

Speaker 4 (21:20):
Wash FM, but not all the same. There weren't all
the same exact job, just with the same coming.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
Interesting.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
Interesting, that's an interesting take on all of that. Perhaps
maybe you this morning are thinking to yourself, you know what,
I'm gonna walk in and quit today because I'm just
not into the job that I've got. I'm ready to leave.
But you know what, you'd go back, or maybe you're
gonna go back. Maybe you're applying for a job and
you've got like a lunch with somebody and it could
lead to something later on today, tell us why is

(21:48):
it that you have left a job that you had
that you ultimately ended up going back to. There's no right, really,

this up this morning because Cameron Dias went back to
work for the first time in a decade. Ninety seven

Morning and so we've been talking about it today.

Speaker 4 (22:26):

Eight six six nine two seven forty three sixty one
is the number?

Speaker 3 (22:33):
Talk back wide open.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
Everybody's got their reasons, and Tim and Springfield you have yours.

Speaker 3 (22:44):
What's up?

Speaker 7 (22:44):
They called me at the right time.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
I mean I was unemployed and they wanted me back,
and I was able to negotiate a much better salary.

Speaker 1 (22:53):
That's what I'm talking about. You want me back, you
gotta pay for it.

Speaker 4 (22:57):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
There are some things which might be more value and compensation,
you know, like peace of mind, working around people you
enjoy working with. I could be open to either or
thank you, by the way for jumping in this morning,
Tim Now over to Gainesville, Monnie, what do you go
back to a job you left?

Speaker 8 (23:16):
It involved money, unfortunately, and that's why I left, And
then I always regretted it to this day, Sheilly, because
I loved that business. I loved that job so much
that I could have retired probably ten years ago.

Speaker 7 (23:31):
I did go back.

Speaker 8 (23:32):
It was broken, and as much as I wish it
wouldn't have been, it, I regretted it to this day.

Speaker 7 (23:37):
Went into my own business almost doing.

Speaker 8 (23:39):
The same thing for twenty five years, and that's the
way it ended.

Speaker 4 (23:44):
Wow. Well, thank you for sharing.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
That sounds, Monny like you're in a better place. Thank
you for the call this morning. If you feel like
you want to jump in, talk about microphones wide open.
If you're sounding to your iHeart app tapped the microphone,
tell us your story about a job you left that
you ended up going back to. We love hearing from you.
At ninety seven point one watch FM with Tyby and
Chilly in the morning, and we know you need to

(24:07):
stay connected to the news. Top stories at the top
of the hour that's on the way coming up.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
Don't move Top stories Top of the hour.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
President Trump says Palestidians have no alternative but to leave
Gaza and find somewhere else to live. He and Israeli
Prime Minister Benjamin Ntnyaho met yesterday, with Trump saying the
US is now prepared to take over that occupy territory.
More than a thousand people join Democratic members of Congress
for a protest outside the Treasury Department yesterday. They blasted

(24:39):
reports that Elon Musk has been given access to data
on millions of American taxpayers. The US Postal Services It
has suspended the acceptance of incoming international packages from China
and Hong Kong until further notice, of course, threatening the
business models of e commerce giants Shian and Timu, as

(24:59):
well as Amazon, and they did not provide a reason
for that suspension. Arlington Public Schools are tightening their security
protocols after a sex offender was accused of exposing himself
in a girl's locker room at the Washington Liberty High
School pool back in December. So now anyone who signs
into the facilities will have their IDs checked against the

(25:19):
sex offender database before entering.

Speaker 4 (25:22):
And according to.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
Recent surveying, Americans feel like they had twelve perfect days
last year. An ideal day includes seven hours of sleep,
three hours of family time, and another three hours of
watching movies or TV, as well as a couple of
hours of eating and an hour and a half of
just hanging out with your friends. Forecast for today there

(25:45):
is a winter weather advisory from nine this evening until
ten tomorrow, with some ice in the forecast, otherwise cloudy today.
Highs around thirty eight right now thirty two in Alexandria.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
You heard about that winter weather advisory? Rights, what does
this mean? What's coming? What's going to stick around? And
should we worry about school tomorrow? Do we need to
go get toilet, paper and milk and bread and all
of this stuff. Well, when the weather gets interesting, we
pick up the phone and we.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Call ABC First Alert Meteorologist Eileen Whalen.

Speaker 3 (26:17):
That's right, Chilly says that much better than I do.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
We're gonna talk to her in the next twenty minutes
to see what's actually going on so that you and
your family can plan stay with's Toby and Chilly in
the morning. We don't know what's coming, but something is coming,
Toby and Chilly in the morning. It's ninety seven point
one wash FM. That's something when it comes to weather.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
We're andre winter weather advisory from nine o'clock tonight till
ten tomorrow, and that's why we wanted to get in
touch with ABC First Alert meteorrologist Eileen Whalen.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Good morning, Eileen. What is going on timeline? What can
we expect? What will be affected?

Speaker 6 (26:52):
This is not going to be a big snow event, guys.
So it's more going to be sweet and freezing range
in your car, maybe the windshield, maybe even opening the
car do or tomorrow morning might be a little bit
on the slick side bridges, ramps, overpasses, but it's just
going to be really cold and wet tomorrow morning and
then it just changes over to a plane rain. So
I think minimal impacts. I know a lot of people
wondering you we're gonna have any schools delays. There's a possibility.

(27:13):
I think higher impacts though, maybe some power outages and
more impacts to travel far north and west around Hagerstown Charlestown.

Speaker 7 (27:20):
West Virginia where ice doorm mornings are in effect.

Speaker 6 (27:22):
So even throughout the day you might see even maybe
a little tasting snowshower, maybe here.

Speaker 7 (27:26):
A little bit of some sleep. But again mainly going
to be overnight, and I think a lot of you
listeners are probably going to be seeing the impacts as
you're getting on the road.

Speaker 6 (27:33):
Tomorrow morning definitely going to be wet and could be
a little bit icy.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
And so what I'm hearing is kiddo's do your homework.

Speaker 7 (27:39):
Okay, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
You're hinted about next week. What's that all about.

Speaker 6 (27:45):
Well, I'm definitely seeing measurable snow, I mean potentially over
five inches. That's going to be about Tuesday Wednesday of
next week, So we'll monitor that, but of course, right
now I'll focus on just the next twenty four hours
and this current weather maker moving in later.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
To Well, it sounds like we're going to be speaking
with you again early next week.

Speaker 6 (28:03):
We'll always love the opportunity to chat with you guys,
So hoping you have a great day.

Speaker 7 (28:07):
Stay more.
