Toby and Chili Mornings on demand on ninety seven point one,
Wash up out.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Why do you feel good before five o'clock this morning?
Toby and Chilly in the morning. It's ninety seven point
one wash UFM. I can tell you, Chilli. I'm happy
because the I Hop is down the street and it's
open twenty four hours, but only on Thursday, Friday, Saturday
and Sunday. Other than that, you have to run from
my house to the studio up to like Gaithersburg.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Not that there's anything wrong with that, but.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
I went in there early because I have to fast
coming up literally starting now.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Do you know what it's like to inhale food? That's
not fun, But what is fun is tasty food available
in the middle of the night. Thank you, I Hop.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
That's good.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Little things bring joy. What about you?

Speaker 5 (00:48):
I'm joyful that it's a Friday, and I had a
calendar invite when I got up this morning from my
husband for lunch.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
You put it in your calendar.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
He did, and it was lunch with my wife.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
So yeah, I accepted it. So that's good. He'll wake
up to a yes, so we are I don't Yeah,
we're having.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
You should have clicked maybe just to see if he
said anything or not responded at all.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Well, anytime I get a calendar.

Speaker 5 (01:17):
Invite, it's you know, sometimes it's like work related stuff,
and I'm like, oh, and I was pleasantly surprised, and
it had nothing to do with works.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
I like the fact that he actually took the time
to put it in his calendar invite. So it's like
it blocks it out if you you know, you have
to accept it or you have to like whatever. Yeah,
if you just ignore it, it's going to keep telling you, Hey,
you have a pending invite.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
You have a pending invite. Well that's very very cool.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Point point to your husband, points to you. I almost
called him Donato. That's your son. Point to don good stuff. Well,
that's that's that's called bringing some joy. Making you feel
good before five eight sixty six nine two seven forty
three sixty one. If there's something you're feeling good about
this morning, call us share it with us. Tell us

(02:03):
everything so we can have some joy and celebrate with
you as we get into this Friday, the last day
of a week before we get into the super Bowl.
Speaking of which, which are you more excited for chilling.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
The obvious question is just right in front of us.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Are you more excited for the game or are you
more excited about the commercials?

Speaker 5 (02:23):
Well, considering it's the same old teams showing up at
the game, I'm.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
Gonna go with ads.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Well, we're gonna talk about it coming up in minutes
and if anybody wants to jump in, now's the time
to call. Eight sixty six ninety seven forty three sixty one.
Tell me and Chilly in the morning. It's Friday, DC
on this eve of the Super Bowl weekend. Are you
more about the game or are you about the advertisements?
It's ninety seven point one watch FM on this Friday morning,

(02:50):
Telly and Chilly in the morning, and we're talking about it,
and you're shaking your head.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
I take it you're not about the game.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
I'm certainly not about the game because I'm really overseeing
the Chiefs lay Eagles. But I gotta tell you, Toby,
I'm not about the ads anymore either, because we keep
seeing these ahead of time and the surprise not so
much there.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
I'm going to tell you that I agree, I am
bored with all of it. Not It doesn't matter if
it's the Chiefs, doesn't matter if it's the Eagles. I'm
just tired of the same teams year and and year out.
And to your point, yes, the fact that I can
see every ad on YouTube days, maybe even weeks before
the game, it makes it watching the game not fun anymore.

(03:32):
I mean, the halftime show is okay, but yeah, boring okay, But.

Speaker 5 (03:36):
Having to choose between those options, I'll go with Ads
because they always do reserve a couple that have not
made a debut.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
I'll go with game because I believe it's someday some
teams other than the ones we just mentioned will actually
make it to the game. Then it'll be fun again.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
But not this year.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Toby and Chilly in the Morning, ninety seven point one
wash FM, Ralph, Good morning, Alexandria, Big Ads games, where
do you stand?

Speaker 6 (04:01):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (04:02):
The game?

Speaker 7 (04:02):
I really want to see Philadelphia Kansas City off their
throne enough with them.

Speaker 8 (04:08):
It would be great if it was a blowout too.

Speaker 5 (04:10):
Yeah, but if it's a blowout, it's also boring because
then the game is kind of over ed Ralph.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Since we've seen the same two teams play the majority
of the last Super Bowls, we know it's going to
be a high scoring affair either way. So yeah, I
don't know if that's going to happen, but wishful thinking, right.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Leslie, Good morning, you're in Rockville. What do you think?

Speaker 1 (04:33):
I'm city as the Big Game is great for the action,
but the ads are where all the creativity and surprises happen.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
It's like a mini event on its own.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
So much for the YouTube theory.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
Well, she doesn't like spoilers, so she stays off the internet.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
Toby, Well, I.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Guess there's something to be said about not playing yourself.
Ninety seven point one watchef m 're Toby and Chilly
in the morning. The numbers eight sixty six, nine two, seven,
forty three sixty one.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
You about the Big Game? Amy about big Ads? What
do you think?

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Tell us everything on this the eve of the Super Bowl.
And in the meantime, stay right there. How's your head today?
We're gonna check your morning mindset coming up in just
a minute. Are you feeling some sort of way right
about now? Toby and Tilly in the morning, It's ninety
seven point one wash FM. Need a little something that'll
help to turn your morning around, and then therefore, maybe
this last day of the week going into the weekend

(05:24):
around Well, perhaps we can help you.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
Yes, it's called our morning mindset. And what is the
quote you've got right now?

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Tim Ferriss is an author and a motivational speaker, and
he says, keep this in mind today, What we fear
doing most is usually what we most need to do.
Let's that just marinate for a minute. What we fear
doing most is usually what we most need to do.

(05:52):
You know, fear is a thing, but fear can bring
about change, and sometimes we are afraid of what it
is that we need to do right, You've got to
get over that fear. Gotta get it done, Gotta start
the day, gotta keep it moving, and you'll be fine.
Tim Ferriss says, what we fear doing most is usually

(06:15):
what we most need to do, and since we most
need to do it, let's get it done right just
in time for the weekend. Hopefully that helps. If it did,
share it with someone else who might need it. You'll
find it on the Toby and chilipage at washfm dot com.
That is your morning mindset for this Friday, the seventh
day of February. On the way next Chili. You've been
working on some entertainment news. What you got with this

(06:37):
show biz buzz? Mcgillicutting uh.

Speaker 5 (06:39):
Taylor Swift says she feels used by Blake Lively MO drama.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
Stay there.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
If it's entertainment news you need, it's the show biz
buzz you.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
Want to hear.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Ninety seven point one was CHEFM where Toby and Chili
in the morning.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
Chiliamar, what's up?

Speaker 5 (06:54):
Well, apparently Taylor Swift is feeling used by her friend
Blake Lively in her conflict with Justin Baldoni, whose director
of itd ends with us, especially regarding a meeting about
the film. So sours to say that Taylor was invited
to Blake's apartment around the same time that Baldoni was there,

(07:15):
and now she's going, oh, so she was using me
as some sort of leverage or something. Kendrick Lamar says
his Super Bowl halftime show is going to bring La
energy to New Orleans and to the world. He's going
to be joined by R and B stars Sizza Lamar,
of course, coming off winning five Grammys over the weekend. Meanwhile,
according to Rolling Stone, the best halftime show of all

(07:37):
time is Prince Back in two thousand and seven. Followed
by You two in two thousand and two and Beyonce
in twenty thirteen. We've seen the first trailer now. It
was released for the new animated Smurfs movie. The film
stars Rihanna as Smurfet and it's going to hit theaters
July eighteenth. Drake felt really generous during one of his
tour stops in Australia. He actually gave away twenty thousand

(08:00):
dollars each to two couples in the audience at his
concert in Perth. NBC unveiled an impressive lineup of celebrity
guests for their fiftieth anniversary celebration of Saturday Night Live.
It's going to be taking place February fifteenth. The guest
Lose guest list rather so far includes Adam Driver, Dave Chappelle,

(08:21):
Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus, Paul McCartney, Scarlett Johansen, and Tom Hanks.
And according to a recent survey, Forrest Gump wins the
title of America's.

Speaker 8 (08:32):
All time favorite movie.

Speaker 5 (08:35):
Wizard of Oz Camen second, followed by Titanic and by
the Way, the average American says they've watched their favorite
movie thirty eight times and that's your showbiz buzz.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Got how good Forrest Gump really is? Jenny?

Speaker 2 (08:48):
That's what's up, Jenny, our good stuff. Stay right there.
We got the news for you in minutes. Top stories,
Top of the Hour. It's ninety seven point one Watchef,
MDC hangout of top.

Speaker 8 (09:01):
Stories, Top of the Hour.

Speaker 5 (09:03):
A federal judge is putting a pause on the Trump
administrations so called deferred resignation offer.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
To federal employees until least Monday.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
The pause will allow for arguments over the offer at
a hearing that is set for next week. Meanwhile, the
Arlington Employment Center is offering displaced federal workers a way forward.
The AEC created a new transitioning from the federal government
web page, and it provides a lot of tips and
resources to people who will have to return to the
civilian workforce. The US Army Corps of Engineer said yesterday

(09:35):
that major components of the passenger jet and the military
helicopter that crashed last week have been now moved to
a hangar at Reagan National for further examination by the NTSB.
Congressional Republicans. They are blaming DC Mayor Muriel Bowser for
violent crime, drugs, and homelessness in the district. A bill

(09:58):
was introduced to yesterday that would repea DC's Home Rule Act,
which currently allows DC to have some autonomy and pass
its own laws. Southeast d C's entertainment and Sports Arena
has a new name. City officials announced yesterday. The venue
will now be called care First Arena, which is home
to the WNBA's Washington Mystics and according to a recent survey,

(10:23):
dinner is American's favorite meal. Sixty three percent of folks
say they watch TV while they're having dinner, forty one
percent talk to the people they're with, and twenty eight
percent look at their phone. Forecast for today, it's going
to be partly cloudy. High's around fifty right now forty interesting.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Well, howdy and good morning. I'm Toby. Now I'm keeping
everything together there behind the scenes. That's Taylor's Shay, and
across from me is Chili, and Marshy's my partner. We're
Toby and Chili. In the morning at ninety seven point one,
watch CHEFM and Chili's feeling very nervous ladies and gentlemen
about her son Dinada. So what is it that has

(11:01):
you feeling all these mom nervous, feels Chili, that's not okay.

Speaker 5 (11:06):
Yeah, well, he's got a new interest, and I'm worried
his lack of commitment is going to cause issues.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Oh, Chili, the worry warts. We'll get into why coming up.
And if you've got some stuff you might want to
say to her to help ease her nervousness. There's a
talkback microphone for that if you're signed in listening to
us on your iHeart app. If not, get the app.
It's free. If you don't have it already, go to
your favorite app store and enjoy. That's coming up with
a Citty and.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
Chili in the morning.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
It's ninety seven twenty one, wash up them on a Friday,
Super Bowl weekend, and Chili is feeling some sort of
way about your son and some kind of interest he's got.

Speaker 4 (11:42):
What is wrong? Nothing is wrong yet, you say yet?

Speaker 5 (11:47):
Yeah, Well, my son auditioned for a show at school,
Wizard of Oz, and he got a role, a speaking rule.
And I loved theater growing up. It was my passion everything.
So on the one hand, I'm excited that he's taken
an interest in it. On the other hand, I'm concerned
because part of his ADHD. Anxiety causes him to not

(12:09):
follow through. So he'll commit to things and then he'll
quit or he'll lose interest.

Speaker 8 (12:16):
And when you're part of.

Speaker 5 (12:17):
A show and a play or a musical, they're relying
on you to show up and do your part.

Speaker 4 (12:24):
That's what I'm worried. Will not happen. Will he still
be there come April when the show is on?

Speaker 2 (12:31):
Yeah, go on, even if you're having a bad day.
You've got like an entire ensemble cast. It's counting on you.
You've got to do your thing, and you've got to
sing your tin man part.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
Well he's not the tin man, but yes, well you know,
I just.

Speaker 5 (12:46):
And to that point, I had a conversation with one
of the administrators. It's kind of doing the show, and
she said to me, don't take it away from him.
He's got to see you know, he's got to see
it through. If he doesn't, that's fine too. You think
your kid is the only one who's uh dropped out
of something like this, Like so they seem to be

(13:07):
right prepare And so now I'm just going to let
it play out.

Speaker 4 (13:11):
Yeah, you have to see how it plays out.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
How do you feel about that?

Speaker 5 (13:15):
I will tell you this, and I'm not exaggerating. If
he makes it all the way through all the rehearsals
and performs and does his commitment, I will literally be
crying in the audience.

Speaker 4 (13:25):
I think, here's the joy.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Did you set expectations? I mean, now it's not like
about you, it's about him. But you've got to like
set expectations, especially if well we've told him you know,
I mean, like, hey, just because you're having a bad
day doesn't mean you can't show up to do your
part because they need you for the run of show.

Speaker 5 (13:43):
Whether it's registered or not, I can't say, but absolutely
we've had that conversation with him, and like I said,
I'll be beaming with pride if he actually goes through
with this.

Speaker 6 (13:52):
Well.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
I think it's very relevant. I think a lot of
people do get nervous about their kids involvement in anything
because that follow through is important.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
And I and while it might.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Be ADHD and I can speak a little bit to that,
knowing that I deal with it, I got to say
this what it is is, it's just knowing that you know,
once you say I'm going to do something, you gotta
do it. So it's on him. This could be a
big time growth thing for him. So I'm looking forward
to seeing him pull it off because he'll grow up,

(14:21):
you know, and sometimes it's not easy to show up.
But you know what, I have no doubt he'll be
able to do so. And then you can live vicariously
through him on stage as he starts to sing that
part of the what it's called the Cowardly Lion?

Speaker 3 (14:37):
What part did he get?

Speaker 4 (14:38):
By the way, Oh, he's the doorman at oz Well.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
That's a start, Shelby.

Speaker 8 (14:42):
And Chilly's nearly impossible question.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
And let's start playing the game and giving you free stuff.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
What's the question today?

Speaker 5 (14:49):
Fifteen percent of us have not washed this item of
clothing in the past six months?

Speaker 4 (14:55):
What is it?

Speaker 3 (14:56):
Baby haysus? What's that smell? Katie?

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Carry tickets? See if you bank arena up for grabs
thanks to Live Nation. If you can answer that question
right here it comes again one more time.

Speaker 5 (15:06):
Fifteen percent of us have not washed this item of
clothing in the past six months.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
What is it?

Speaker 3 (15:12):
Eight six, six, ninety two, seven forty three, sixteen one
is the number?

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Call? Now get it right when your nearly impossible question,
isn't it?

Speaker 8 (15:18):
Toby and Chili's nearly impossible question.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
It's question one more time. They're Chili Amar.

Speaker 5 (15:23):
Fifteen percent of us haven't washed this item of clothing
in the past six months.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
Well right, tickets for Katie Perry up grabs see if
G Bank Arena this summer. Thank you, Live Nation. Good morning,
Mark and bald Somemore. You've got the question fire away
with your guests.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
I'm gonna guess a bathrobe.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
Do you have a bathrobe? And when's the last time
you washed it?

Speaker 2 (15:44):
I don't wash it that much because okay, well what
do you wear out of the shower and stuff?

Speaker 3 (15:52):
Don't answer that, never mind, it'll create a bad visual.

Speaker 5 (15:55):
Bathrobe is an excellent guess, and it turns out, yeah,
fifteen percent of us have not washed one into the
last six months.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Congratulations, Mark, You're going to Katie Perry and since it's
in Baltimore at CFG Bank Arena, you're not.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
That far away. Enjoy.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
Now make sure you're back here after the weekend, because
when you get up and you play your nearly impossible question,
well us, Toby and Chilly in the morning, We've got for.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
You tickets to Kylie Minogue Capitol one arena this spring.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
All right, and if you need the news, we'll get
you that coming up in just minute. So many reasons
to get up in the morning with Toby and Chile
in the Morning.

Speaker 8 (16:30):
Top Stories, Top of the Hour.

Speaker 5 (16:32):
The deadline for federal workers to make a decision about
their buyout to offer from the Trump administration has now
been pushed to next week. This after a federal judge
paused the so called defer resignation program until at least
Monday allow after last week's plane crash. The FAA says
it is reducing the number of planes that can land

(16:54):
a Reagan National every hour, so it's going from twenty
eight to twenty six, and that reduction in arrivals will
increased delays to around fifty minutes. A group of refugee
families from Afghanistan were evicted yesterday at the Enclave apartments
in Silver Spring. Eviction notices started arriving last year after
resettlement agencies ran out of money to help those families.

(17:17):
Metro reporting a major uptick in ridership by federal workers,
with a post pandemic high of eighty six thousand trips
that were taken on January fourteenth, ridership is expected to
continue to rise in the coming weeks as federal workers
returned to their offices five days a week. A new
DC hospital is opening on April fifteenth, Cedar Hill Regional

(17:39):
Medical Center in southeast DC will have one hundred and
thirty six beds, a trauma center, a helipad, and also
areas for maternal health and infant delivery. And couples looking
for a chance to get married close to Valentine's Day,
you may want to check out a special offer. In
Fairfax County. The Fairfax Circuit Court's going to be holding
free civil marriage cremonies at the Kathy Hudgens Community Center

(18:02):
in rest In on Tuesday from nine thirty am to
twelve thirty pm. Forour gast for today partly cloudy Skies,
His are going to be around fifty right now, it
is forty two in Riverdale.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
Every so often you need something that makes you feel
all the all the fields and restores your faith in humanity.
We found a story for you that we want to
share with you that we think might just make you
feel good on this Friday, about a first responder and
that tragic plane crash over the Potomac couple of weeks ago.

(18:36):
What did they do that restored our faith in humanity?
Stay there find out, especially if you need some good
news to help turn your day around or maybe to
set you into the weekend the right way.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
We'll get to that coming up.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
Sometimes a tragedy can bring out the best in humanity,
even when you think it shouldn't, and when it does,
it's something that just makes you feel all the fields.
And that's why it's this morning's feel good Friday story
with Toby and Chilly. In the morning at ninety seven
point one, watch FM. Don't need to remind you about
the plane crash over the Potomac, the helicopter, the plane

(19:11):
and everything that went along with it.

Speaker 5 (19:13):
Now, one of the first victims recovered was a soldier
who is on board the black Hawk helicopter. His name
was Sergeant Ryan O'Hara, and he was handed over to
firefighters at a temporary morgue that was set up nearby.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
That's when probationary firefighter Sean Watton, who was once a marine,
decided that that soldier needed a dignified transfer, and so
he stood watch outside of the van that picked up
the body of Staff Sergeant Ryan O'Hara following the collision
for as many as four hours.

Speaker 5 (19:48):
Sergeant O'Hara's dad, Gary, expressed deep gratitude for the first
responders who risked their lives to recover the victims, and
fondly remembered his son.

Speaker 7 (19:58):
I'll always be that eight year old little boy that
I see, you know, running and playing. Yeah, he was
a twenty eight year old man, but I'll always think
of him that way. And I just can't believe. It's
like I'm not going to see my love boy tomorrow.
Wherever it's really hard.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
Staff Sergeant Ryan O'Hara's life was remembered over at Fort
Belvoir this week, which makes the story very, very timely,
and hopefully it brings a little bit of peace to
his family. Clearly they're suffering in the aftermath like so
many families are, and we really do.

Speaker 5 (20:29):
You want to thank Firefighter Sean Wathan who really gave
us or restored I should say, our faith in humanity.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
And that's the reason why that story gives us all
of the fields. It's our feel good story for this Friday,
because sometimes out of bad comes good. If you've got
a story that makes you feel great that you would
love for us to highlight right here on a Friday morning.
Feel free to share it with us. You can find
us on the Toby and chillipage at washfm dot com.
That's where you can find more on the story of

(21:01):
probationary firefighter Sean Waythan and the way he paid tribute
to Staff Sergeant Ryan O'Hara following that collision. Now coming
up with Toby and Chilly in the Morning. When a
baby wants to come into the world, the baby's gonna
come into the world, no matter what you might have
going on. Sometimes it happens at the worst possible times.
This has ever happened to you? Think about that? Tell

(21:22):
us your story at eight six six nine two seven
forty three sixty one. We're gonna get into this next
eight six six nine two seven forty three sixty one
is the number. Toby and Chilly in the Morning at
ninety seven point one. Watch FM on this Friday as
we get into the Super Bowl weekend. Remember a few
Super bowls ago, it was Jason Kelsey. I guess his
wife had an entourage with her because it turns out

(21:46):
she was this close to having a baby. And when
you're that close to having a baby.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
Labor. I take it, not that I've ever carried a
child around.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
Labor can show up, and when it does, there ain't
no stopping it.

Speaker 3 (21:59):
Would this be a true story, Yes it is.

Speaker 5 (22:01):
I mean Kylie Kelsey said that she had her doctor
with her back in twenty twenty three.

Speaker 4 (22:06):
She's a huge Eagles fan.

Speaker 5 (22:07):
She's gonna be at the game again this weekend, even
though her husband doesn't play anymore, and she's pregnant again,
but she's not as far along this time, which it's
stunning to me because I think I also read that
she said, had she gone into labor, she wasn't gonna
tell her husband so that he could keep playing.

Speaker 4 (22:23):
I'm like, well, that's an inconvenient time.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
But because she's just gonna peace out of the box,
she's like, I'm gone, I got my doctor with me.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
We're out of here.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
But it brings up a really good question. Have you
ever had one of those moments? If you've ever gone
into labor at a really inopportune time, it probably makes
for a really good story, and Chilly and I would
love to hear it. So why don't you grab your phone?
Call Age sixty six nine two, seven forty three sixty one,
or you can tap the talkback mike if you're signed

(22:52):
in listening to ninety seven point one, watch FM Toby
and Chilly.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
In the morning on your app.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
You can just leave us some message and tell us
that story I see in King George right now, CC,
you say this happened to you?

Speaker 3 (23:04):
Where'd you go into labor? What went down?

Speaker 1 (23:06):
Well?

Speaker 9 (23:07):
I went into labor in the middle of the walmart
the day before my scheduled sea section.

Speaker 4 (23:13):
Oh wow.

Speaker 9 (23:13):
I had my eleven year old daughter with me, and
when I went into labor, she got scared. And there
was an older gentleman that worked the paint department that
was always very grumpy and mean to everybody, and he
was the closest person around. When my daughter went to say,
my mom's having a baby, and he freaked out. He

(23:36):
scared him have to death. He didn't know what to do.
He had never experienced anything like that. He didn't have children,
and he was freaking out and he was like, do
I call him something? No, No, call my husband. Well,
when I left the store, I couldn't find my car keys,
so I took his. Oh, so he couldn't leave to
get to me. He couldn't find his keys, and I
was like, oh my god, I have your tea. So

(23:57):
he had to go to one of the neighbors to
bring him to the wal mart to take him to
the hospital because I was and it was snowing outside.
We were in Silver City, New Mexico. But I went
into labor in the middle of the wool marts the
day before. She was scheduled for a section. But after that,
the little old man was like totally in love with
me and loved the baby, and it was like the

(24:18):
Grinch being his heart melted after experiencing this.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
Wow, Ceazy, thank you for the story. That's interesting.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
I mean, look, I've never carried around a child like
I said, Chili, but I'm gonna have to take your
word for it. When labor comes, labor comes, and when
that baby says I'm showing up, I'm showing up. Has
this ever happened to you? Chili and I are listening.
We would love to hear your story. So hit us
up now at eight sixty six nine two, seven forty
three sixty one, give us a call, tell us your story.

(24:49):
You can send us a message via talkback. Operators are
standing bye. We'll get to your stories coming up after
eight top stories at the top of the hour. That's
on the way before we get to that hang with
Toby and Chilly in the morning on this Friday. No,
I had to leave once my wife went into labor,
and I was like literally waiting in line all day
for the chance to money.

Speaker 4 (25:10):
What you were never you were never married? What are
you talking about?

Speaker 3 (25:13):
Well, you know in my mind if I were Mary
are you talking about? I'm just making it up.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
Ninety seven point one watch FM or Toby and Chilly
in the morning on a Friday inconvenient time that your
significant other went into labor. Did you go into labor
at the right time for your husband, Chilli?

Speaker 5 (25:30):
Well, uh, see, as I was of advanced maternal age,
I had a planned CEA section for the safety of
the baby. So yeah, it was fine. There was no
there was nothing. But I will say I didn't plan
anything for a whole month around my due date, just
in case.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
I know some people are going like, oh a month,
Oh a month. You guys have to understand Chilli, my
partner over here. For her to not plan on something
for a month, she must have been stressing out big time, Christy,
thanks for I want to a sub chestapeak beach labor
came a calling and that baby was a coming.

Speaker 3 (26:05):
Might not have been the most opportune time. What happened.

Speaker 10 (26:08):
We were actually out of state from my sister in
law's wedding and I started having some contraction sporadically during
the rehearsal dinner, and I remember telling my mother.

Speaker 6 (26:18):
In law and she's like, are you to Day's like, no,
it'll be fine, We'll get through the weekend, maybe someday.
This was a Friday night, well one o'clock in the
morning the day of the wedding. I woke up and
grabbed my husband's like, nope, we gotta go. This is
happening right now.

Speaker 4 (26:33):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (26:33):
Did you ever make it to any part of the
wedding festivities?

Speaker 10 (26:37):
I did not. My husband did.

Speaker 6 (26:39):
I sent him later in the day. This was our
second and I was like, I got this, It's time
you go.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
And so he was at least there for the reception,
but we were both members of the wedding party, so
they were kind of they didn't work without us for
the least of the ceremony. But then he did go
for the reception, but I missed.

Speaker 5 (26:53):
All of it.

Speaker 4 (26:54):
Thanks for the call, Christy.

Speaker 5 (26:55):
It seems babies really do like to interrupt these weddings.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
Angelaine personal, you were in the middle of the ceremony.
What happened right in the.

Speaker 8 (27:03):
Middle of the valves.

Speaker 7 (27:04):
Talk about bad timing.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
We are scrambling to get out while everyone's watching. It
was total chaos, but unforgettable.

Speaker 5 (27:11):
Did you wait for them to say I do or
did you just say, ah.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
I need to go to the hospital.

Speaker 5 (27:17):
Now, and the newlyweds had second thoughts about having kids?

Speaker 2 (27:22):
What more?

Speaker 8 (27:22):
