Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, we are going to be gone for the next
couple of days because we are going to be attending
a radio conference. It's something we do every year now.
Normally it's a thing where we go to a different city.
We've gone to Chicago before, Dallas several times, We've gone
to New Orleans, all kinds of different places around the country. Well,

(00:20):
this year it's a little different because it's here in
San Diego, which is really weird. Obviously, we're still going
to be gone because we're going to be attending it,
but it's just weird that it's in our backyard.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Very strange.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Well, because it's in San Diego, there is something that's
going to be happening that is again very different. Emily's
getting an award.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
We ain't done yet.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
It's time for the one podcast find Over.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
A year completely uncensored and unacting, filtered except for that
part the show's after show starts now.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Award.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
I don't know if that's the right word. It's like
a recognition. I don't even really I'll be honest with you,
I don't really get it any I don't say that
it's true. We listen, We've gone to all these different cities,
has there ever been anything like this with like a
legendary local show or anything like that where they brought
up a show that's been really famous in Chicago or

(01:22):
really famous in Atlanta, or.

Speaker 5 (01:26):
You know, because they'll do all the panels of like, oh,
we're learning, we're sharing whatever, what is AI?

Speaker 1 (01:30):
How does that affect a radio?

Speaker 2 (01:37):
I don't think it affects us at all.

Speaker 5 (01:38):
No, It's a very interesting mix of people and ideas
depending on what part of the country they're from. Like,
people are doing a lot of wild stuff, but edy
of your well okay, like you know, we'll get people
who will pitch ideas of like oh, bring pizzas to
your local high school football games. Nice, and it's a
nice idea, but it's like that's how you get your listeners.

Speaker 6 (01:59):
Like that says she made a rap song every day
about people's birthdays, and she did it every day.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Yeah, but don't get it twisted, didn't air it, didn't
air it. She like would do it for them. Yeah,
it's is crazy.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
It's right.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Would you do that? Yeah, it seems crazy? Yeah, whatever,
tweet your own.

Speaker 7 (02:21):
Yeah, but I've never seen that.

Speaker 5 (02:24):
Very different a big award of like somebody like a
lifetime achievement.

Speaker 7 (02:28):
But it's not from that sort.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
That's a very specific thing and I could go to
anything anybody.

Speaker 5 (02:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
So this year we got word that they're going to
do a special recognition to the Jeff and Er Show.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
From that, you know, if you're newer, don't know, moved
San Diego. Jeff and Jair dominated the radio airwaves in
the late eighties, most of the nineties and into the
two thousands. They're a big, big show, big morning show.
Emily was on that show in the latter part of
the Jeff and Gers Show, and so.

Speaker 8 (03:00):
Were they still huge when Emily was on the show.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
I joined on two thousand and six. They weren't.

Speaker 9 (03:05):
They weren't at the their late nineties.

Speaker 8 (03:08):
They were trying to bring in like the young hot chick.

Speaker 6 (03:10):
Here we go, like forget that back, yeah, yeah, show
some titties at that audience.

Speaker 8 (03:16):
Back.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Yeah, I don't know yet.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
I don't know this.

Speaker 8 (03:22):
Chick giant fake titties.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Everybody else got knocked up.

Speaker 8 (03:26):
So they brought you in as like the hot chick,
and then you got knocked up.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
I was president fire you.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
I mean for four years. I didn't get knocked un
till four years later. Oh yeah, I think so.

Speaker 8 (03:40):
So this was this was pre r s Robbie Shades.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Oh way, pre Robbie Shades.

Speaker 8 (03:45):
Wow, I didn't realize.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Yeah, yeah, two thousand and six.

Speaker 9 (03:48):
Yeah, but they were. They were still Jeff and Jered. No,
I know that, like their Human Flag nineties days. Yeah,
the Human Flat I missed that era miss that.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Well, so they're going to get a special recognition where
the whole show is coming back for it, so you
can get Jeff Jair, Little Tommy, helper Boy, Randy, Laura Caane,
and Emily as well part of the crew.

Speaker 8 (04:13):
Are we going to get pre Robert Emily? Like crazy?

Speaker 2 (04:16):
No, I don't think. Why would you just get into this?

Speaker 8 (04:20):
I want to. I want to meet the other you
want her? I would love to meet party girl Emily.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Think about what she was.

Speaker 8 (04:29):
I want fake titty party girl Emily.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Just yeah, I do.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Really good friends.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
I knew both. Actually I won't say who I prefer really.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
So all that being said, that's cool, cool little moment.
They're going to do great? You know, are you excited
about it? Are you having weird anxiety?

Speaker 9 (04:52):
I hadn't had anxiety until I talked to Tommy little
Tommy yesterday on the phone and he sent me a
press release that had gone out.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Really press press. I don't know who.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Went out to know who. It was a word document.
I read through it.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Did he write it himself?

Speaker 9 (05:07):
I would gout a lot of money that he did,
and it kind of made it more just.

Speaker 8 (05:14):
Was isn't it happening?

Speaker 4 (05:15):
When?

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Is it happening on Thursday?

Speaker 8 (05:18):
Okay? But it's okay?

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Is it happening before our last big So?

Speaker 7 (05:24):
Like, do you think the news local news will come?

Speaker 8 (05:28):
I wonder he works for.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
I don't know that. It doesn't make any sense.

Speaker 9 (05:33):
There is a name for the award, and I can
only remember the first part of the name. It's the
Celestial and then there was something something, and I don't
remember the there's like a name.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
A New World the award.

Speaker 6 (05:46):
The only award they did was the kid Cratic Award, Right,
that's different.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Yeah, well, guys, all that being said, guess who is
one of the presenters of the award?

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Me me you.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Well, guys, I worked at start in the heyday of
Jeff and jer and so what they're doing is they're
getting all the personalities from back then. So it's me
Jagger and Christy and a few other of the big
names that were on the airwaves back then on that station,
and we're all getting reuniting on stage to present the award.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
You guys have all known er for decades.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
I worked with them back then, so you know, I mean,
it's a long time coming, are you in? I was
not in the that was the that was their thing.
I think, well, I had my own shows, and so
every once in a while though, they would need help
and I would jump in there and help them out
with different things or whatever. But I've known for years.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
We're on the same We're on the same team. Yea
and so uh.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
And then of course I rescued Emily, you know, got
her from the from the dumpster, and I pulled her
out of.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
There and put her on this show. Thanks mainly youth.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
Jeffy jer got let go.

Speaker 9 (07:02):
When I was on the show twenty seventeen, you killed
I did.

Speaker 8 (07:06):
Kill the show, and you want to change it. And
then I was there for eleven years. I can't believe
you're getting You ruined it.

Speaker 9 (07:14):
And then I was off the air for six months,
bugged out.

Speaker 8 (07:17):
And then.

Speaker 6 (07:20):
It was between you and this other girl who had
just great cans smoking hot.

Speaker 8 (07:24):
I was like, Eddie, this is crazy. Hire her. He's like, no,
I know, Emily, I'm like, I don't care.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Oh my god, all happen.

Speaker 5 (07:32):
That's yeah, And he was going on hot, hot, hot girls.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
So I don't really know exactly how the presentation is
going down because I don't care.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
Wait anyway, exact moment.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
I've never won an award.

Speaker 8 (07:46):
Before, are you? This isn't really you the word the lord.
You're kind of in the world.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Did you have an award?

Speaker 6 (07:55):
But I don't know, honestly, I'm not being Did you
have like a big on air presence on the show?

Speaker 3 (08:01):
I mean not the beginning.

Speaker 9 (08:02):
She was okay, the not the beginning, but towards the
end Jerry left and so it was just Jeff and
they had no choice.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Well, I mean they like we're family.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Yeah, but they didn't they didn't use it the right way,
like yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 6 (08:16):
It is crazy that they didn't use some of your
stories that like they did.

Speaker 8 (08:19):
They not know.

Speaker 9 (08:20):
I did use the stories, but my stories were I
don't think they pulled them out of me in the
same way that you guys do, or they don't get it,
like the humor was a little bit different.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Pretty crazy though, that you have gone from one legendary
show to another.

Speaker 8 (08:34):
Career.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Maybe you're the key myself, ratings start to dip. You know,
you're the cancer killer, you know whatever. Anyway, So, yeah,
I have no idea what this presentation is.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
I don't know how it's gonna look. I don't know.
I don't know what my part is. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
You don't know you're written.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
I guess. I don't care.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
I'm even more nervous.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
Again, I don't care. I'm assuming.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
You're gonna to be my part, like because obviously we're
partners now, I don't have as a close up connection
with the rest of the crew that I do with you.

Speaker 8 (09:09):
Yeah, and so on air with a little Tommy a
lot of time.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
That's true the TV show TV. Yeah, I mean Tommy,
we probably love that, you know, and I do love Jeff,
great guy.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
But I don't know. I don't know. I don't know
really what they're gonna do. I must. I just sort
of am going in assuming I get to talk about Emily.

Speaker 7 (09:25):
Well, what happens if you go up there and they
go Eddie, see.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
You got Laura speak on Randy. I could do it.
I endured Randy to his first girlfriend.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
I was pipping him out. I was trying to get
that guy late. I think he might have been a
virgin woman and he was like fiftieth the time. That's
not a joke.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
So, you know, I don't know. I'm assuming that that
I get to talk about Emily Man.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
Yeah, yeah, I was just going to ask, have you
started preparing? Do you have things written down?

Speaker 7 (09:54):
Violet points?

Speaker 5 (09:55):
OK?

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Maybe I'll talk about old, you know, fake titty Emily
and how crazy she was.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
That doesn't.

Speaker 8 (10:02):
Going to be in the crowd.

Speaker 6 (10:04):
Are giving me the crowd, so I yell out.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Crowd's going to be That would be great.

Speaker 5 (10:13):
This doesn't seem appropriate. I don't think this is the
vibe they're going.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
For a morning show conference. They would love this.

Speaker 5 (10:20):
But but I mean, but there's people in the room
that aren't, you know, that don't do the same kind
of humor that we do.

Speaker 7 (10:27):
Just like Emily said, some are a little more uptight.

Speaker 5 (10:29):
Some are like news broadcasters or soccer mom shows.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know
what I'm going to talk about.

Speaker 9 (10:36):
I'll come up with something to mention my dedication my
my dedication to showing up right on time and leaving
as soon as possible. Oh no, I mean my hard
work would be nice, Oh when the joy of having
me around every day.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
I'd like those things mentioned, not my fake titties.

Speaker 8 (10:57):
Well, that's crazy.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
I'm going to public bring up that you're the craziest
person I know on the radio, and I love you
for it.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
I don't know.

Speaker 9 (11:05):
If I don't know, if I want, I'm even more nervous.

Speaker 8 (11:09):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Well, I guess we'll chronicle the whole thing on Monday,
so I'll see you then.
