Speaker 1 (00:00):
Uh, we sort of talked about this on the show yesterday,
Thors having kind of like this housewarming get together dinner party.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
I don't remember the last time we've ever done something
like this.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
It's been amazing years. It's a moment.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Yeah, I don't think of us like because normally one
of us is missing or busy or somewhere.

Speaker 4 (00:20):
But with all a minute, I've never been doing any
of your house for dinner.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
You've never been to my house. Absolutely been to my
house for bart.

Speaker 5 (00:27):
I met any of the houses that.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
When we lived in.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
We were going to do something big and the COVID
hit so kind of screwed us.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
So Thors having us over on Saturday. Jamie not invited.
That was what we worked out the other day.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Remember I kind of invited him and then he said no,
So he's he didn't get he didn't.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
He made plans because he was so hurt and not invited.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Yes, next next one, The next one we're gonna do.
The next one we're going to have is going to
be more of an outdoor gathering and we're gonna say
your kids could come, So Jamie.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
J something without a doubt. Well, now I don't even
know if this party's even gonna happen at this point
because ship has broken loose all over what to bring.

Speaker 5 (01:13):
We ain't done yet.

Speaker 6 (01:15):
It's time for the one podcast a year, completely uncensored
and unacting filtered except for that part the.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Show's after show starts. Now, Yeah, how did I know
Emily would be in the center of all this? You
are the problem, apparently the problem. I don't know you
caused the ship show. He's not freaking out what to
bring because I don't think it was broke. Yeah, I

(01:52):
mean my plan was a little bit closer to the
day of the event. I'm gonna send her the text
what what can we because you can't ask, Oh god,
I can't have anything. He doesn't understand what's going on.
He'll just know whatever they want and they'll text her,
and then what's the point. I'll just textile what.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
You guys are friends with there. And also, yeah, it's
still earlier in the week. Who would who would text
so early?

Speaker 1 (02:15):
I think it's a little crazy.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
Just tuesday. It was just a Tuesday.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
It was it was just it was that's not that crazy.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
I'm going grocery.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Shopping today today.

Speaker 5 (02:23):
Yes, I don't think it mattered.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Oh, my plan a little closer to the day of
the day. In the text, Hailey, what do you want?

Speaker 3 (02:31):
What?

Speaker 1 (02:31):
You would bring? Whatever? You know? My my expectation is, oh,
just bring a bottle of wine, or bring it appy,
or bring it a dessert. That's the three things you
bring to a dinner party when you say what can
we bring?

Speaker 7 (02:45):
I had a similar plan.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
I was gonna lab a text on Friday run to
Trader Joe's. Most likely, I was going to pick up
one of their lovely frozen appies.

Speaker 7 (02:55):
They got a lot of great things to choose.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Would you cook it at home and then bring it
or just throw it in the oven when you got
to our house.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
I would cook it at home and bring it, And
if it was something that needed a little crisp I
would ask if I could throw it in the oven
first sect. But I would clear that with Haley first.
So I but I was gonna law a text on Friday.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
Fruit planture is your signature move.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
It is my signature.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
But it's no. You don't want a fucking fruit clatter
at my house. You don't eat fruit. That's weird. Fruit
is wrong, dude, that's weird. Sorry, Do you like watermelon? No,
I knew it.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Of course I knew it for flatter is weird though
at a dinner party with no.

Speaker 7 (03:35):
Kids, see that, I agree.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
In the summer, not at dinner party, no lunchtime.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Saying a classic party. I'm gonna tell you that right now,
we'll go to forest house. Okay, no offense.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Hey, in the summer, we're going to do more of
an outdoor thing.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Fruit great, yes, yeah, all of this is craped. It
needs to be summer. There has to be kids normally
a daytime thing. That's when the fruit platter comes into way.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
A little grape So I would, I would?

Speaker 5 (04:02):
You really would?

Speaker 3 (04:04):
So I was thinking of more living in the appetizer world,
but just like Eddie, I was going to reach out
a little closer to the event.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Now, what would have happened if she texts back dessert?

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Then I would have pivoted a pivot. Sorry, trader, Joe's
your dessert selection. So I would probably then pivot and
go to Vaughn's. And then gets stop it.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
There's got to be a legit bakery why or make
something like order? But you don't have a legit bakery
and like bird.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Rock or anywhere like nothing Bun cake.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Can't get you get You're just saying desserts that you like.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
I mean there are baby Bakery or make like a
box of brownies or something like that. That's fine, this
idiot you want, I mean, you'd rather have me make
box brownies?

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Then, like you want sampler from Vonn's.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (05:06):
I don't know that they have.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
A very nice Please don't tell her dessert.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Okay, desert, we have a whole dessert app issue.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
To be honest, well this is the issue here. So okay,
Emily Wildly on a Saturday stand by and says, what
can I bring?

Speaker 5 (05:24):
What can I bring? Yeah, I've been talking. I checked
on her. I checked on her.

Speaker 8 (05:31):
I didn't I said, how you you wouldn't even bring
four soup?

Speaker 1 (05:35):
No?

Speaker 4 (05:36):
Then when I want to talk about that, that's fucking crazy.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
I checked her.

Speaker 5 (05:41):
I asked her how she was feeling.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
In my experience, my mom has taught me that you
want to ask like around a week in advance, because
the host will be planning the menu accordingly. So it's
nice for them to know what you're planning on doing,
because then she will know she doesn't.

Speaker 5 (05:57):
Have to class ask ahead of time so that they
could plan, so.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
I'm not gonna so I did.

Speaker 5 (06:06):
I texted her and asked her how she was feeling.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Again, we're acting like this is this high end dinner party.
There's candles. Yeah, it's going to be high and talking.

Speaker 7 (06:17):
Dressing nice.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
Dude, dressing like gonna be lucky if I'm not in
my pajamas like I got.

Speaker 7 (06:25):
I thought this. I thought this was a casual like
we're going just.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Going over to check out the new house.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
We're gonna play a game.

Speaker 5 (06:33):
It is to a dinner party.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
I mean we're gonna have dinner.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
Yeah, Emily, sorry, are you We were gonna know, I'll
probably wear boots and like big sweater and do my hair.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
I mean, what a pretty girl.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Ny, we were good.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
You started. This is crazy, you said the text on Tuesday.
Is what you get?

Speaker 4 (06:54):
That's the appropriate time, high end high dinner.

Speaker 5 (07:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Bringing nobody's china.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
I don't think.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
I don't think.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
We have a lot of stuff though.

Speaker 7 (07:08):
Are we having real plates or paper plates?

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Real plates?

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (07:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (07:13):
No, no, well real plates okay, because we got a
ton of silverware and plates that they that they gave
to us when we moved into the house. It's nice stuff.

Speaker 7 (07:21):
Too from what How old is it?

Speaker 2 (07:24):
No? No, it's newer stuff that they didn't want because
the person.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
But anyway, oh my god, I'm on the plate dead
people's china.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Wow, I mean it's from years ago. Yeah, we were
so we Originally the plan was to do beer canned
chicken and used we have a trigger grill and do
smoke some meat. But because she's been sick, she hasn't
been able to figure out how to use the trigger
grill yet, so we're not using the trigger grill. Yeah,
I'm sorry. We're going to do.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
Ribs and be well, why can't you figure out how
to work the grill and being the barbecue man?

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Are you?

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Are you out of your mind?

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Phil?

Speaker 2 (08:04):
I will no, that's not he won't let it happen.
I don't want it to happen.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
I don't girl.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
I'll be the one cleaning off the plates and everything.
And that's right, that's right, that's right.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Okay, So you send in the text what can I
bring to this wonderful dinner?

Speaker 4 (08:25):
But made sure she was okay, Cab, how you doing?

Speaker 5 (08:32):
I heard you were sick. I hope you're feeling.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Better looking forward to Saturday night? What can I bring
and then she sent me a long voice text message.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Jesus and she's she's so sweet.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
She said, sorry for the late response. She respond right away.
She says that she's feeling a little bit better. And
then she says, I felt weird asking you guys to
bring something, and she said, my anxiety is sort of
spinning out of control.

Speaker 5 (09:00):
She goes, I didn't know if it was rude or not.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
I felt weird about it.

Speaker 5 (09:03):
Somebody to bring something.

Speaker 7 (09:04):
I mean someone you always bring something every time.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
You could even say bring a bottle of wine. Yeah,
like you have to show up with something.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
You don't understand what I've been going the r.

Speaker 7 (09:15):
One if we didn't show up.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Me and Hailey are in the same camp of like,
if we ask people to come over, we want to
supply everything.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
So so what do you do when somebody says, what
can I bring?

Speaker 2 (09:28):
So that's what I said. I said, Hailey, everyone wants
to bring something, just let him bring something. I go,
we're supplying the main entrees. We're also going to have
breaks and wine and stuff like that or whatever, beer,
I don't know, whatever, and we'll have the sides. But
if they want to bring something, she goes, well, they
can break dessert, and I go, not, everyone's going to
bring dessert.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Three different desserts.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
So I said, why not appetizers And she goes, well, well, no,
we need to do the appetizers. I go, what's the
difference between dessert and appetizer. It's the same fucking thing.
It's both before and after the main entrack. So what's
split it up a little bit? And she's like, I
have an anxiety for this. She gets anxiety for.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Everything, but we're trying to help her. Like I thought.

Speaker 7 (10:05):
I thought we'd everything. I thought this would lessen her
anxiety to help you.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Here's the problem with my wife. I love her to death.
She cannot do She doesn't like asking anyone for help
for anything. She feels like she's putting somebody out.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
A little bit.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
She needs to do it herself.

Speaker 8 (10:23):
So like getting her to that bakery, so like Emily.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Yeah, when Emily texted. When Emily texted her, I came
home and she went, I don't know what sid Emily.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
For the late response. She had no idea what to
tell you.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
And I go, Hayley, just text her back to bring
a bottle of wine and an appetizer.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Both you know how this wouldn't have happened if you
don't send a text on Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Not true about.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Anyway.

Speaker 5 (10:57):
Now she knows that well, so I respect on it
was saying.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
What you want, what you want, She's never told.

Speaker 5 (11:03):
Me what really I could?

Speaker 4 (11:04):
She said, maybe have people bring appetizers. But then she
was pulling like a little bit of an Emily going
but I don't know, I feel weird asking people for that.

Speaker 5 (11:10):
So she was spinning out.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
So then I just she had mentioned the word appetizer
in there, so I said, yeah, I would love to.

Speaker 5 (11:15):
Bring an app I can bring an appetizer, would you?

Speaker 4 (11:18):
So then I asked her what she was serving, to
know what kind of an appetizer.

Speaker 5 (11:23):
She let me know that they're making.

Speaker 4 (11:24):
She did let me know I was planning on using
the trigger but didn't have time. And this whole explanation
of that, she said, she's doing ribs, beer, canned chicken,
mac and cheese, and a Caesar salad.

Speaker 5 (11:35):
So that's I mean, that's a lot of food. That's
that's going to be delicious.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
How much?

Speaker 5 (11:42):
Thank you for saying the heavy?

Speaker 1 (11:43):
Can I offer to bring a side? Okay, stop stop it.
We have sites. That's a lot of beans.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
It's a lot of sun, I asked her.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
No, I'm not going to. I'm going to. I want
to do bro How great would that be? That would
be her?

Speaker 4 (12:06):
Up, she's already into the store, she's already playing, she's
already played her many So glad you said the heavy part,
because it is. It's a it's a nice, substantial dinner.
We don't need heavy apps because people are you'll get
too full and you won't be able to eat her
yummy dinner.

Speaker 5 (12:22):
I suggested.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
I said, I'll bring wine, some seltzers, and I'll also
bring a charcuterie plate.

Speaker 5 (12:28):
So I'm going to make a big, beautiful charcuterie plate.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Now, let's because it's going to be beautiful. Let's be
big and big and beautiful. Is that right? And beautiful?

Speaker 2 (12:40):
Oh no, I mean I'm not going to say what
there was.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
I would never use craft singles on that. Shut up.
You're tasting this guy look like yourself, But you don't
think you're overreacting a little bits of doing something.

Speaker 5 (13:06):
So I'm bringing a big, beautiful.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
But it looks like a rose. Though it's so beautiful.

Speaker 5 (13:12):
You guys don't get any of it. I don't want
Me and Haley are going to eat it.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Go ahead, you don't want any of it.

Speaker 5 (13:16):
You're not gonna eat the charcuter I'm going to bring.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
An appetizer to you're bringing an appetimptizer cover.

Speaker 5 (13:22):
You know why I texted Tuesday.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
Not a minute so you're we're only having one appetize.
I mean you can.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
I don't think we only need one.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Don't you need a dip? I gotta.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Bring the dip.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
Sky phones over here. Either you're going to the bakery
or I would.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
Rather have sky do the dessert because your husband loves dessert.

Speaker 8 (13:43):
He does so he could so I trust him. You trust,
but he's not going to go get it. That's the
problem we got. We got Miss Vaughan's over there. Pick
up the cake platter.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
I did just remember I do live next to the
French Mate bakery, but they do have I just just yeah,
you could get legit.

Speaker 7 (14:05):
They got some legit desserts.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
I've decided you're on dessert.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
Here's the problem though, with Eddie doing advertisers.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
I am gonna be a little bit late. Well, you
can't bring a little latest. Let's let's be honest here, Okay,
he said, get there on five. Well, I practiced until four.
Gotta go home, clean up all that stuff. Thor lives
you know, down in the South, but like the Mexico Now,
I mean, yeah, if I get pulled her in the secondary,
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Of course, of course guys are for this.

Speaker 7 (14:36):
Yeah, I don't even know the way I'm taking.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Yeah, it's gonna be yeah luckily. So yeah, I mean
I'm gonna get there by five thirty latest. First of all,
what time do you think we're gonna be eating? You
know how long it takes Haley.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
The cook does take her.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
Okay, we're gonna be eating at midnight, So you're gonna
be happy when I show up with my dip. Okay,
midnight deal. Okay, so I don't think a shark couter
boards enough?

Speaker 5 (15:03):
Well, then we can bring two things. That's fine.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
Can't bring you? Can you can?

Speaker 2 (15:07):
What are you thinking you can.

Speaker 7 (15:10):
Ye around people?

Speaker 1 (15:12):
It ain't Tuesday. So I think I'm in the player
and I'm bringing a side now too. Apparently w
