Speaker 1 (00:07):
You're listening to the Marcus lush Night's podcast from News Talks.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
I'd be.
Speaker 3 (00:13):
Leaving and welcome, particularly welcome to the new list as
you know who you are. Anyway, lock yourselves in here
till midnight to night. Jim steddenhen from midnight tonight. That's right.
We brought him in a day early and he'll be
on from twelve. So there we go. That's the way
it's going to go, not long until daylight savings now
only about three weeks. I'm excited about that. Four or
five things to talk about tonight. I'll pep them through
the night. There's some stuff that I don't know if
(00:35):
it to be one topic night. Who he's hoping? Who knows? Firstly,
last night we talked about interesting ways to cook instant noodles.
Someone rang up he'd been in prison and they cooked
instant noodles on the toasted sandwich maker like a flat
toasted sandwich maker. Just put the hard slab down there
(00:57):
and cook them. I tried that today. It wasn't terrible,
it was edible. I just think it have been better.
I wasn't quite sure where to put because with instant
noodles you get I'll tell you what I think about
instant noodles. You get two sachets. One sachet contains like
spring onions or scallions I think they call them, and
(01:21):
the other sachet contains the trip titch. It's the one
two three soy sauce, chili and some white stuff. I've
never quite worked out what that is. Boy, that's hard
to open. You need the scissors for that, and then
you can actually stack it up right. It's falls anyway,
I'll do it again. The kids were not in the
(01:42):
slightest bit interested. David's Marcus, welcome, good evening.
Speaker 4 (01:47):
Here, gooda. MICA's say again.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
Good, thank you, Dave.
Speaker 5 (01:50):
I just want to know the clocks go backwards or
forwards this time?
Speaker 3 (01:55):
How can we do that so you can remember it?
Speaker 6 (01:58):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (01:59):
It's pretty hard to remember.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
So you want it lighter later?
Speaker 5 (02:04):
Yeah, so it goes forward in our.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
Yeah, I imagine. So, because what would be if its
sun sets about six? Then you want sunset to be
about seven, don't you?
Speaker 8 (02:15):
Yeah? Yeah? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:16):
But what have you got a cell phone? Because all
of it's automatic now these days?
Speaker 9 (02:19):
Is it not nice?
Speaker 10 (02:21):
Not automatic?
Speaker 4 (02:22):
I think it might be on the cell phone.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
Yeah, what's always good is on Monday.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
Right, Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Do you work nice? Oh that's a shame, because what
as good as on Monday? You turn up for work
two hours later and you said you turn the clock
the wrong direction. And that works both in autumn and
in spring because no one really can work it out.
But look, I'll tell you what. I'll give your heads
up the day before if you like Dave, okay, brilliant.
(02:52):
How many years has it been? How many years have
we had daylight savings? Daylight say? Some say daylight saving.
I prefer to say daylight savings A because it sounds
better because you're saving daylight every day more than once.
And b it winds people up like topsy boy, Oh
boy boy do they get wound up by that? But
(03:14):
I imagine darre it saving. Has it been fifty years?
It feels like it's an anniversary. I don't know when
it started, so I might know what year it started. Well,
guess it's a tufa, David. It's Marcus welcome. Hey, broup
(03:34):
a broup Are you mean, yeah, Marcus welcome?
Speaker 11 (03:40):
Oh yeah, I'm just thinking to let you know if
you want to know the rule of thumb that I
know for if the time goes full of backwards, it's
a spring and spring.
Speaker 7 (03:53):
Fall and four.
Speaker 11 (03:54):
So you spring four and you four backwards and four.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
Although as we said, you said in spring and spring
and autumn and autumn.
Speaker 11 (04:03):
Here wol and what I.
Speaker 12 (04:05):
Want a road?
Speaker 11 (04:06):
Should a gone the wrong radio station? We were we
were just talking about this is not so long you want?
Speaker 4 (04:15):
Were you just.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Talking about there's not so long ago on the radio?
Speaker 3 (04:17):
Yeah, that's me, that's me, David press story. Yeah, you've
rang the right. You got the right, Jennal, No, because
we work on lay. You're seven seconds behind.
Speaker 5 (04:29):
Oh that makes yeah, Well I'm driving, I should I
should hang up.
Speaker 11 (04:34):
I just wanted to let you know my wrong and
tell me how I know if it's gonna go four
or backwards.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
I like that a lot. We've had three David in
a row, David. It's Marcus. Welcome, good evening.
Speaker 10 (04:44):
Hello, Marcus is another David.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
Yes, I see three in a row Dave. David like
a triple play, like a David triple play.
Speaker 10 (04:51):
Yeah, this is David the Broncos supporter. Do you remember?
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Well, no I don't. But he's going well old Reese Welsh,
isn't he. Oh that's not Broncos. Are you thorking of
the Brisbane Broncos.
Speaker 10 (05:02):
Drinking out the toilets or something? Yeah, but yeah, the Broncos,
And yeah I was backing them all away and they've
they have delivered.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
So you so to reback the story. You don't have
a bank account, use the tab as a bank and
you've thanked and you've banked them from the beginning of
the season to finish in the top eight.
Speaker 10 (05:28):
That's correct. And so now that has come to fruition.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
And how much money have you got?
Speaker 10 (05:33):
Well, well, I moved from Padaparum who I'm now living
in Wellington?
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Do you much money?
Speaker 10 (05:38):
If you made that was a better thousand or something?
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Great? Now, congratulations to spin Wise. Now what did you
want to say about the Rugby this weekend?
Speaker 12 (05:46):
Now?
Speaker 10 (05:47):
The I hate to say it, but I think that
the All Blacks are going to lose against a wounded
spring Box side.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
You hate to say that. Isn't it a good scenario
because it makes the whole thing more exciting?
Speaker 13 (06:04):
I know?
Speaker 10 (06:05):
But then, and of course Wellington isn't the happy hunting
ground for the.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
That's the cliches, that happy hunting ground.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
M hm.
Speaker 10 (06:15):
So I'm going to put a bed on the spring
box to win that one. I think they will. But
as an outside bet, I think the Warriors might win
against Pemrath because that's an outsider. But you know, the
Warriors on their day can beat anyone and I'm going
(06:35):
to back them well.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
In the form they finished at six versus seventh. We
finished sixth though we should beat them.
Speaker 10 (06:42):
Hm it mounts Smart, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
Although Mount Smart hasn't been good for us in the
last couple of weeks here that we've lost some we've
lost some absolute clunkers there.
Speaker 10 (06:51):
But it's one shot that what do they call that?
Speaker 14 (06:55):
I think?
Speaker 3 (06:56):
I think in the Sporting Palance they call that sudden death.
Speaker 10 (07:01):
That's right. And hopefully the Broncos I think they've got Canberra.
I'm so hopefully they'll be close to it.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
I think camera is too good.
Speaker 10 (07:12):
Yeah, So anyway, that was my predictions. I think South
Africa and the Warriors.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
You ever been in prison, David?
Speaker 10 (07:20):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (07:20):
Did you ever cook noodles on a hot on a griddle?
Speaker 11 (07:26):
No?
Speaker 10 (07:26):
It sounds fascinating, Okay.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
I didn't mean to ask confronting questions, but thanks for that.
I just wondered Marcus I used to cook greasy Moroccan
Mogue's sausages and my sandwich make until it died. Slip
them lengthways. Greece got everyone to the metrics and rooted it,
shortened it out good while it last did, and credibly
(07:49):
inforided broadcast. So far as this. David Threesome, spring Ford,
who knew spring spring full fall, liked him a lot.
Marcus daylight saving spring Ford one hour in spring. I
think everyone knows this, don't they. This feels like people
are taunting the audience. Good evening, Marcus, how are you?
(08:11):
It's very very windy night here and living I'm worried
the skylight in the sitting room might blaugh it's making
a rattling noise. It probably will, but let us know,
no one needs to change your phone's will do it automatically.
Now she has got about fifty people that have texted
that through. Oh it's good and I've got a strong
start to listen. So if anyone knows more of advice
(08:32):
about how to cook dry noodles in the sandwich maker,
I wasn't quite sure what to do with a sauce
and the bitsy things in the kitchen, those things that
plastic that plastic sashay terrible stuff, goodness not looking good
and a good and appall. I'm watching pictures of that.
There's sort of riots in the streets. A lot to
talk about tonight. The number is eight hundred and eighty
(08:53):
Today I had a list on my phone. Now I've
lost my phone. I've dropped it, I've drop se hang on.
There's a lot to talk about. There's just bits and
Bobs are playing three twenty. The Panthers are playing a
dollar thirty five. Be a big day for the Cleary family,
(09:14):
no doubt. With Jet being across here in the understudied team,
I think he's going to be on the bench for
the Warriors. It's a great name, Jet. I'm sure the
commentators will have fun with him once he gets to
the premiership. I don't know what sort of things they'll say,
but they'll be things like, ge, he's got wheels that jet,
(09:37):
or should I say he's got turbo or something like that.
They'll say, I have time to think of something better
than that great landing from Jet. They'll probably say one
of the things would they say of a players called
Jet quick on the takeoff that jet? What else Dan
(09:58):
did you say something else. You look at that takeoff.
It's great landing Jet. He's got wings, it's out of
guess uh, it's got turbo, Marcus. Have you seen the
snapshot of the cone in the ash Felt? It was
eithern oversight by s T miss or one thing I
saw that. I didn't realize it was embedded. I just
(10:20):
thought it was on the ash felt. I'll tell you
what you think. It's triggered by cones. Boy, oh boy,
do we gets triggered by cones? An interesting word to pronounce,
because actually, s felt, So what was the story it was?
That was as it was? Sesp felted in it's quite good.
(10:44):
It's quite good that I missed that the first lock
new Plymouth on the Breakwater Road. Cheapers so the sandwich
makers for the noodles and the s s felt? How
about jet has really put the after burners on? Now,
that's right to shame that old old Ray Warren's not back.
He had some good ones about that. I was watching
(11:06):
before that. I came on here tonight pickleball with Andre
Agassy and Stiffi Graff. They're quite good as a team.
It's quite good tennis celebrity pickle to watch more of that.
It's better than the U is open, free, fast, free
peppy sport. What a magic couple they are. What a
(11:27):
great book that was of Egacy's with his mad father,
for they both had mad parents, Agassy and graf they
both had mad parents, and they introduced each other when
they got together, introduced their parents to each other. And
all the parents could do is that Agassy's father was
desperate to show Stiffy Grauth's father his tennis ball cannon
(11:49):
had made, and I think probably Stiffi Grauth's father done
the same. A remarkable story that was got us incredibly
heavy hail on the roof and Vicago, I can hear
that banging down on the roof now, to be careful.
It tailed on and off most of the day. It's
got that sort of hail with as were large enough
to actually cause you a little bit of trouble if
(12:11):
if you were out walking on it. Can you hear
that it will be loud. The other thing that's of
interest tonight is that there will be road closures on
the mountain passes because the bad weather is coming through.
I'll tell you more about that throughout the course of
the evening. So that's happening. So yes, the weather is patchy.
(12:37):
So if your trucker, let us know, will snow probably
overnight and certainly for the mountain passes, incredibly heavy snow overhead.
I hope the sea scouts aren't out in the harbor.
Sea Scout night on a Wednesday incredibly strong. I might
God look at that. So the first thing I'm curious
(13:00):
to talk about to you tonight. We have talked a
little bit over the years about we govy, which is
the diet drug. It's got a number of names, but
I think we know it in New Zealand as we govy.
It's one of those semiglue tides otherwise known as a zempic.
(13:23):
It's been on sale and his editor now for it
must be two months. I just wondered how that had
worked out for people if they've tried we govy. I
think it costs several hundred dollars per month. But if
that's been a life change for you before it came out,
and don't to talk about on a number of years
a number of times and people had with very keen
(13:45):
to take it. So now I'm asking two months on
if that was something that's been a success for you
and how much difference has it made in those two months.
If you want to talk about that, that's of interest
to me. That is we govy, So let me know
about that. That's the miracle drug that the government is
allowed to happen. But it will cost you six hundred
(14:07):
a month. It might be up to eight hundred dollars
a month. You'll save that on the food because you
don't feel hungry. By all accounts. People that have spoken
to me about that when they had it overseas said
that's the case. You're not craving the expense of food.
You just want a head of broccoli occasionally. So if
you tried to go over your a zempic, let me
(14:28):
know how that's worked out for you. We can disguise
your voice if you like. Ah ah, Marcus, was that
guy in the wrong sky channel last week. We've got
no idea, I imagine, So Marcus, State Highway seven Lewis Pass,
the Springs junction has closed you to snow. Thank you.
(14:51):
Kudos to Russell. Corre Areca been voted eleventh by Forbes
Beautiful village. That's right. Historic Russell been voted one of
the most beautiful places. So there we go. Someone says
jet has encountered turbulance, jet is jumping fuel carrying passengers,
jet involved in mid air collision. All those of revery good,
(15:11):
O zempic or we go of you if you've tried that,
let me know what that is like, speaking of jets,
jet Star. Two new routes to going christ Church Hamilton.
Who'd be going from Christchichs to Hamilton? Never in my
life ever I thought germ in christ Church, I want
to go to Hamilton, or germ in Hamilton, I want
to go to christ Church. So I'm curious who would
(15:33):
see that as a good as a good kind of
a ride made no sense to me. The other one
also was, it's going Queenstown to Brisbane, so I might
finally get to Brisbania and I'll report back on that.
Oh wait one hundred and eighty ten eighty Richard Marcus, welcome, Yeah, hi.
Speaker 12 (15:54):
I wanted to talk about this epoch.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Yes, thanks, you.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
Said I could disguise my voice if I want to.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
Yes.
Speaker 12 (16:01):
Oh, okay, five months and about one hundred kilograms are
on oture books.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
Were Richard, we were going, we were going to we
were going to do the disguising ourselves.
Speaker 8 (16:24):
We can put it.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
We've got a program we can put you through. We
got that year down. Okay, we haven't got that yet,
but sometimes there'll be soft. Have you already tried it?
Speaker 4 (16:33):
No? I was just taking laugh, of course.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Well, I thought, if you're disguising your voice, you disguise
it from the very beginning.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Not probably want to.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
And I'll be saying, I'll be saying, Richard doesn't say,
is that your real voice? No, I've disguised. We can't
get You can download voice disguises on your cell phone
and you're talking to those.
Speaker 4 (17:05):
I do.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
I do most of my talk back calls when I'm
ringing the mid door. Is that you Jim? On the
drive home? Is that you Jim? Someone sees the field
days would be big for those playing trips from Christ
to Hell. That's a good point. It's a very good
point you make. I don't think we should be making
fun of the weight loss drug either, but you know
(17:27):
it would have been good really if he was on it.
When you see lost one hundred kils, I thought that
was too much. Stuart's Marcus welcome.
Speaker 5 (17:34):
Good Marcus, here your door. Hey, look I'm on that stuff.
Now now I'm not on the absentic whatever you call it,
and I'm not on the other one you said another, Yeah,
there is another one, yes, and I'm on that yes
(17:56):
now as fantastic. I've got an older brother in Australia
who was on the absentic and he's lost over eighty
ninety kilos already. He's been on for nearly twelve months.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
Is he paying for it? Is he getting a bit
of deal over there out of interest?
Speaker 5 (18:16):
He's getting it for free because he's a diabetic yep,
but it is a lot cheaper over there. But I
went in to see my doctor about it in Demanan
and I was prepared to play the six hundred bucks
a month to try it. I was going to do
(18:36):
it for three months, but they bought me through all
the blood tests and it was turned out I was yeah, No,
I was turned out to be diabetic.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
Oh wow.
Speaker 5 (18:50):
Yeah, And that was a shock to me because I've
been getting pretty croop lately and I've been on this
stuff now and on the diabetic medication for three months.
I've lost I've lost nearly forty kilos.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
Hey two, I'll just come up to headlines. Don't go away?
Just hang there because I've got more questions to ask you.
I presume that's your real voice. That's not the question.
But hang there and I'll get back to you in a tick.
Back to you, stew Stu. Were you as big as
your brother?
Speaker 5 (19:20):
No? No, he was over three hundred kilos. Yes, I
was around one sixty when I first went, when I
went to the finally went to the doctor. Yes, but
I struggled to lose weight. He could never lose weight. Yeah,
all his life, and it's been it's skipped on my life.
Speaker 4 (19:41):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (19:43):
Yourself, So you've gone from one fifty to one ten
or one one six.
Speaker 5 (19:47):
Around around that year, around that. Yeah, it's great. That's
a funny thing. As as soon as they diagnosed me
with diabetes, I got it for free.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
Yeah, but.
Speaker 5 (20:02):
It's great. I give myself an injection once a week.
Speaker 14 (20:05):
Yep.
Speaker 5 (20:07):
And I coincide that with communication they got me and
I just I've just got no appetite, mane great. You
know I drive, I drive a truck. Yes, and I'm
a great one for pies and coffees and and now
all I have I have a piece of toast in
the morning, I have an apple and a banana at
work and then I have a sandwich. I buy a
(20:30):
sandwich at the garage and I have two week backs
when I get home at two o'clock in the morning,
and that that's it. It's just incredible.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
So they say you kind of crave healthy, healthier food.
That sounds like the case for you with the apple
and the banana. Doesn't.
Speaker 5 (20:46):
Absolutely. I divelate so much fruit for many, many years now.
The thing is if you overeat the wrong food, it
makes you crop you know, it really makes you feel unwell.
And that's a lot of people get a lot of nauseousness.
I was a one of the lucky ones. I've never
(21:07):
really got nautious, but you know, you don't get the
hunger travings.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
So you said you've been on it for two months due.
Speaker 5 (21:16):
Yeah, three months now.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
Oh that's a miracle. That's great news.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
Oh yeah, yeah yeah.
Speaker 5 (21:24):
And I was one of these ones that really struggled
to lose. It's been a it's been a life change
of experience for them.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
Is a situation now that you feel like doing more exercise,
is that what you're doing?
Speaker 5 (21:37):
And I am, I've got to I've got an I've
got a knee that wore out.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
Yep.
Speaker 5 (21:42):
And every time I went in I see about getting
a new knee or something, they always says, oh, you've
gotta lose work. You gotta lose work, yep. And you know,
I uh, I you know you try, but if you
can't get exercised, you can't lose work.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
No. Absolutely, And this swimming or something or what. Yeah,
I'm hearing you.
Speaker 5 (22:02):
You know I couldn't swim because I sunk. But now
I'm walking, you know, I'm I'm doing a heck of
a lot more exercise than I ever have done before.
And my doctor even thinks I might not even need
a new meat.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
Oh that's unbelievable.
Speaker 4 (22:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
Do you do you talk to other Is there a
support group? Do you talk to other people that are
on it?
Speaker 4 (22:25):
No?
Speaker 5 (22:26):
I haven't been. I haven't been on it long enough.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
Forage to face. Imagine to be Facebook groups with people
talk about all the things. But it sounds like you've
got it worked out. You've got the right food going
and the exercise and don't need to that's going to
that's going to say they're healthful a lot without you
getting a fifty grand knee, isn't it well dead?
Speaker 4 (22:42):
Right?
Speaker 5 (22:42):
Too, Yes, you did right. You know, I'm lucky to say.
You know, I always said I'm going to get a
new knee when I retire so I can go fishing.
But no, I don't need to new hopefully.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
Does the doctor talk about a goal weight for you?
Are you going to get down to one hundred or
is it.
Speaker 5 (22:57):
Just well, yeah, yeah, apparently there's no such thing really
as a goal weight. Really, all you do is you
get down to where you feel comfortable at and then
you just stop taking it. Yes, and hopefully by that
time you've learnt, you've learned new eating habits, et cetera,
et cetera, et cetera, and you don't put it because
(23:19):
it'd be no way I'll put it back on again.
Speaker 15 (23:21):
Shuit.
Speaker 5 (23:22):
No, it's got to be sixty five years to get
to get as big as I am, so you know
I don't want to do that again.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
So you are at retirement dage, aren't you? But this
is even better because you can keep working and then
you're going to be Then you're going to retirement and
fishing and you're going to feel a box of birds
and your general health, your general health improved, has its due.
Speaker 5 (23:40):
Yeah, well I've had my bosses nagging at me for
a long time about just being sick all the time.
And now you know, I just I feel over one
hundred percent healthier. You know, I just feel so much
better now that I wish I'd gone and got to
sort it earlier.
Speaker 3 (24:01):
I'm upset you did. It's going to say, I'm upset
you and get your diabetes sorted out earlier, because you've
probably been putting that off, had you?
Speaker 5 (24:06):
Ah, over a year? Mate, over a year I was
avoiding the blood tests. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I saw a
new I saw a new but you know, finally I
had to do it.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
Oh that's a good thing they brought that dragon, because
it meant they gave you the wherewithal to go and
get all that sort of day.
Speaker 5 (24:25):
Yeah, and I was prepared to go and pay for
it myself.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
And you would want with the price of pies now
at six packs each, you would you'd be spinning six
hundred a week on a month on pies.
Speaker 5 (24:41):
Oh yeah, mate, I like the gourmet ones. Mate, of
course you do.
Speaker 3 (24:46):
What what was your favorite?
Speaker 5 (24:47):
By the way, Oh, I just the more the better, really,
you know. I was a three piing man one wow,
you know, And It's like I was a three pizza
man so but now I couldn't think of anything worse
(25:09):
than that junk food. It just puts you right off
it brilliant.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
Good luck's Joe, nice to hear from me. Thank you
for that. There we go on with Govy and Hamilton
to christ Juch. Who'd want to fly those ways? It
can't work that one out. My son lives in christ Church, Union,
I live in Hamilton. We fly back and forwards. A
lot lots of UNI students fly Hamilton to christ Jitch. Marcus,
Hamilton to christ Church. Great for us and the who
(25:36):
want to get down for a ski cost a lot
to drive to Augland, pay for parking, Marcus. I'm doing
a weight loss drug trial. Strange you will finish when
enough people have had heart attacks? What does that mean?
Put some water regularly to steam the noodles? Head on midnight?
We're Govy or has zempick the weight loss drug? If
(25:57):
you're on that, how's that worked out for you? Because
people don't see you're doing the old stomach staple? What
do they call that? The bearer, bearer, bariatric, barometric, don't
know what those words are, but one of those ones
text if you've got them, God, they're going to extrad
like Kim dot Com. When how long ago you reckon?
(26:18):
He's been bouncing around for when he got arrested. What
year was that? By the way, what about Luxon and
this forty four thousand dollars pavl over? It's of course
some ripples today him and Alban Easy Well, alb and
Easy I wasn't into it, but he Albanizy came to
(26:38):
Queenstown and they spent forty four thousand dollars flying a
pavl over up the hills for them to eat, and
it wasn't really a photo opportunity because the press wasn't
there with them. Seems to be a slight misjudgment. You're
gonna be a bit careful with the optics of the
photo ops. It's a pricey pav I always find it
(27:01):
a bit boring th All who invented the pair of discussion.
I'm sure there's better things to talk about if you're
a world leader. That's just me, though, Marcus. The most
telling aspect of how much demand there is between the
Hamilton and christ Church is the news end of announced
they're going to start flying in a three twenty between
the cities from September eighteen and that right there is
absolutely perfect example why we love to hate ere New Zealand.
(27:22):
There is clearly demand for the route, but in news
in have refused to service those communities, force them to
drive from to Auckland. Exactly. For a national airline, they're
pretty average. I was going to use a different wordy them,
and it's not in my nature to swear, but for
a national airline cheapest creepers. You've summed it up there,
haven't you. The day Jetstar announces the New Zealand's doing
(27:45):
it as well, a lot of people go between Hamilton
and christ Church though freaks me out a bit. Mind
you did you see those shots of the people from
Glory of Aile skiing. I had no idea that have
to ski in special gear that was the headline. I
didn't predict they'd special. I don't know what they were
(28:08):
skiing and I was looking at my phone and shots
were quite small. They'd special. Flip Dean, how would you
describe those? They were like special flowing flocks. Yeah, the
(28:29):
Glory of Vale ski team they were any was like
a scene from the Flying Nun. Yes, so they ski.
I don't even know how that would have come about.
I'll describe. You might have seen the video item they're skiing.
They had no idea. They're like a black dress. I
(28:58):
think I think they might just be were in the
additional Glori of Ail standard where over there over their thermals.
So yes, it looks like GLORI veal it looks like
the Disney show. I shouldn't say that, but it looks
like Glory Vale. They're wearing their glory of Ail kit,
but they're wearing it over.
Speaker 10 (29:12):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
I'm going to be terrible in the wet, but there
we go. Porter's parski Field. Oh we get in touching
on talking about we gov or e New Zealand and
I love Jetstar, love them always on time, always good,
and then to give everyone a chance to be the
(29:34):
flight attendant. I love that about them. And now they're
going Queenstown. I'm keen to go to Brisbane. I'm not
quite sure why I'm saying this, but I'll go there sometime.
I don't want to go to. I don't want to
go to. I don't want to go see Steve Irwin
wear he's buried. That's not on my list. Just yeah,
just seems a convenient place to fly from Queenstown. But
(29:58):
get in touch if you want to be a part
of it. Here till twelve Marcus. The sad thing about
weight loss drugs, many type one diabetics can not have
access to it. Would like to hear from some other
type one diabetics having same problems. Doctor gave it to
me by mistake, lost weight hostel found I was on it,
(30:18):
they rang, the doctor was taken off it. Happy for others.
Another great show micas thanks to Nil. I don't know
who's been refused it though yet. If that guy was
given it for free, you might have something to say
about that also, so we're talking about that and the
flight's Hamilton Christ Judge also WOEMD. For those that don't
(30:38):
know woemed, I'd been to a couple. It's pretty good free.
Good for you Plymouth. I think there's a bit of
sort of todd energy money there that props everything up there.
Which yeah, there was a bit of a stall there
talking about the talking about the wonders of offshore drilling,
which I thought, yeah, well yeah, WOEMD. Offshore drilling seemed
(31:00):
to be a bit of a disconnect to me. However,
they were helping make it happen, but yeah, they had
some questionable acts also, so I think Ziggy Marley was unpopular,
but so they'll get it together. People love it. You
go there and you dance around. Oh it's a good thing.
So it'd be huge to our new Plymouths economy well
(31:22):
also to their social economy, I would think, or then
youw Pllymouth. People love everyone comes to their place to party.
It makes them feel good. I think flew home today
christ Judge to Hamilton and eighty R can't wait for
the A three twenty jets and other Texas says. Are
(31:43):
you aware of the Captain Capritain Bougainville RecA Farnanak, Northland
fifty years ago? Yes, we dealt with that last week
at some depth. So thanks for that. The anniversary of
that was last week. We had dealt with that. So
you've got on you. Thank you. Always good to realize
we're doing the right topics. The number is eight hundred
and eighty eight. Toddy we GOVI woe mad and those
flights from Hamilton to christ Jurch if that stuff you
(32:06):
can talk talk about brilliant. Other stuff that's I've very
strong hail in the south too. Oh, that's what I've got.
Let's up one of those times now where the airlines
are expanding, they'll come into all the regionals. They'll fly
Queenstown Australia, they'll fly danneed in Australia, They'll flying Willington Australia.
(32:30):
They'll fly christ Its just Trainia and Hamilton Australia. That's
what we want, backed up the old days of ky.
We are because what I happen, I suppose the only
trouble is that means heaps of people will leave New Zealand.
But you know it'll bring tourists back the other way.
That might be a very very good thing. So we've
got a comment on that. Eight hundred and eighty ten
eighty defended that woman last night that couldn't find the
(32:52):
phone number like she spent in years and try and
wanting to ring but couldn't find the phone number. I thought, wow,
who are we missing? That was good here, Mike, this
is Marcus. Welcome, good evening evening, Marcus.
Speaker 6 (33:08):
Things good things make that's good.
Speaker 4 (33:11):
You know.
Speaker 6 (33:11):
I was quite impressed hearing about the the weight loss
medication that encouraged healthy eating, and well, I don't think
I don't think.
Speaker 3 (33:20):
I don't think it encourages well, I don't think it
encourages healthy it's just a consequence of it. It rewires
your brain. So your brain's not getting the foods that's
giving you the ox, the ox, the oxy, I forget
the name of the word that the it's just giving
you food that's good for you.
Speaker 6 (33:35):
Well, yeah, that's excellent. But yeah, just just reminded me
of story and old old family friend of ours who's
passed away now, he's told me a few years back.
So he grew up in the eastern part of Central.
Speaker 3 (33:52):
Auckland and like Parnell, yeah.
Speaker 6 (33:58):
But but further eastern than that. And yeah, yeah, and
his his family GP back in the sevities, got deregistered
because back then there was a weight loss drag called
by fetamine twenty and it was it was a combination
(34:21):
of amphetamines and dixtro amphetamines whatever they are. Just I
was looking on ao Google, but he called ye, that's right, exactly. Yeah,
And so when when he was telling the story, he
said they used to be called black bombers, but apparently,
according to AO Google, they were called black black beauties. Yeah,
(34:43):
and the GP got deregistered because basically it got to
the stage where people were just queuing up in his
waiting room and all he was doing was a sitting
there signing scripts, signing scripts and handing them out and
charging you know, fig and yeah, so he.
Speaker 3 (34:59):
Got they were they were effective weight loss pearls and fetamines,
but they were addictive.
Speaker 4 (35:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (35:05):
Well, I mean, I'm pretty sure people weren't eating anything
when they were on them. No, and no wonder they
were losing weight?
Speaker 3 (35:12):
Yeah, never heard that. Yeah, Ok, what was the go
I want to ask you the guys to your name.
It's a good story though, Mike. Thanks, So let's take
a break. Textas says in New Zealand still flies four
times daily with eights seventy two and now upgraded one
flight to an A three twenty. It's interesting. I find
an interesting changing flight to show people are moving a
(35:34):
different way. I can't work out why people go christ
chich from Hamilton. There's obviously a huge demand. I don't
know what. I guess the big demand from christ Chitch
to everywhere. Now, well, there's other seas around like that
Roliston places. Remember that old adage. Someone says a pie
should never cost more than a big mech. I've never
heard that face that having three pies or three pizzas jeepers.
(36:02):
I suppose you're a truck driver. Your risk of eating
a lot because I think can you eating the I
think sometimes you can? You need a broom after it though,
weren't your prize pretty crusty? There's breaking news. Will bring
that to you tonight. If you want to come through
and talk on the show. The number is eight hundred
and eighty ten eighty and nine two nine two to text.
(36:24):
If you want to come through.
Speaker 16 (36:27):
Now, Uh yes, Oh wait, one hundred eighty ten eighty
and nine two nine two de text if you want
to be a part of it until telve o'clock, looking
forward to what you've got to say.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
We are talking the weight loss drug, Wigovy jet Stars,
new flights, bless them, but your love competition long Way
That Go and also woe Mad. Someone Joe has emailed, Hi, Marcus,
I started we Go these six weeks ago, lost five
(37:05):
kgs so far, twenty five to go. I love it
so much more energy and my mood is much better.
Minimal side effects so far, but I'm careful what I eat.
Have the energy now to exercise, back to the gym
three days a week and walking every day. I don't
feel like alcohol anymore. Used to have a bottle of
white a night, Now just a couple of glasses of
wik tops. Some people say taking with GOV is cheating
for me to tool to help me become healthier. We
(37:26):
don't judge, Joe. We're not saying it's cheating. I say,
go you. But it does seem to affect the endorphin
receptors and the oxacontin receptors in the brain. So some
of those feel good things like wine and illicit drugs,
or sorts of food that are the feel good like
carbs and sugars, you won't get the same kick out
of them. So it's quite a complex thing, and it works.
(37:49):
I think it's gonna end up probably working miracles for
all sorts of people's problems. Someone's asked me if I
am on with govy, and I can tell you that
is a negative negative to me. A dentist for me today, gay, Wow, Anyway,
(38:10):
came out of that unscathed. Yeah. Always a good feeling,
isn't it when you have finished the dentist there had
been a year or two. I got caught up in
the COVID not going and then you know that, Well,
actually it's been long enough. I won't go back. Oh
well it was sorted. Feel good about that extremely heavy
(38:30):
way in the south. I need the hail on the
roof bucketing down. Welcome to it. Nine. I wait, my
name is Marcus. Good evening, let's be hearing from you.
Oh we are talking about WAGOV and Jetstar and Womad
at Texas, says Suzanne Porter of Womader is like Grant Dalton,
(38:50):
the America's Cup might be time for someone else to
ever got running the show? Fair enough? I missed last
night the answer. Sorry, what does z B stand for?
Zid B doesn't stand for anything, It's just the original
frequency was given when one be start in Auckland in
nineteen twenty six. We're coming up for one hundred anniversary
(39:12):
next year. Marcus. I've lost twenty two kilograms in two
months doing the carnivor type diet protein protein protein, one
meal a day about two pm. Lots of eggs, cheese,
red meat, chicken, pork, no bread, no carbs, and most
importantly no sugar. Real food with heaps of but are
not sure about the injections of weight loss. All improves
when you watch what goes into your gob Shannon, Oh, yep.
(39:37):
I try not to say anything with judgment. We are
talking about we Go VI if you want to comment
on that, we Go the or a zeenpic or. I
don't know what the other guy's name was, but that's
what we are talking about tonight and WOEMD and jets.
Are there the three topics? There's something different you want
to mention. Feel free to get involved anything else you
want to go on with. Let's be hearing from you.
(40:00):
There's been a five hour police situation with a Wellington
motel that has resolved itself, just resolved itself. It was
in Webb Street and Wellington. The arm defenders were involved.
There was the Harvest City Motoring and uh and I
(40:20):
think it's a result. For what I can tell, it's
resolved itself peacefully. There were a loud bangs from inside
the building police that they confirmed that they were distraction devices.
They employed a drone. Wow, I didn't know the police
had drones. Bob. This is Marcus Good Evening.
Speaker 17 (40:43):
Yeah, good evening.
Speaker 5 (40:43):
Marcus robbed Bob from surface paradise.
Speaker 3 (40:46):
Oh wow, wow, how long you been there?
Speaker 17 (40:49):
A couple of days? Now, I know we're like I
did the helicopter ride today over the city and little
father has been doing he he was scuba diving and
then he was in the playing with the dolphins as well.
Speaker 3 (41:04):
Wow.
Speaker 17 (41:05):
And they rode the dead yet women roller coasters which
I didn't dare go on. Yes, And one thing I
wanted to say is in New Zealand, the most crappiest
airline in New Zealand. First, their airline that goes from
Blenham to Auckland was late. The Palmerston North one was late.
(41:26):
The one coming into Brisbane was late. M's not very
good at all.
Speaker 3 (41:32):
How much light? How much light? Were to Brisbane?
Speaker 9 (41:36):
Uh half?
Speaker 17 (41:37):
And had three quarters one hour And the carrier that
we had to pick us up to take us down
to cool and Gata he just left because we were there.
So we're standing there waiting on a you know, a
cab or a taxi or a small band or whatever
it was. And we had to ring up about four
times to get older them.
Speaker 4 (41:57):
So when we got on.
Speaker 17 (41:58):
But I mean, I mean I in New Zealand, they
say the you know people are sick and and all
that sort of thing. All the planes are breaking down,
well helse teez. They don't give me much confident of
the planes are breaking down.
Speaker 3 (42:10):
Don't know is exactly right? If they can't run the ground.
How's it running up upstairs?
Speaker 4 (42:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (42:14):
Take your point, your grand someone of you grand someone
of a snake around as nick as it happens.
Speaker 17 (42:21):
Yet it's tomorrow, tomorrow, that's happening tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (42:24):
Brother, where's that at.
Speaker 10 (42:27):
Charlaine?
Speaker 17 (42:29):
Where's the snake pack?
Speaker 4 (42:32):
Dream World?
Speaker 10 (42:33):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (42:33):
Good on you. How's the food been, Bob?
Speaker 17 (42:36):
I've got a lot cheaper than New Zealan's.
Speaker 3 (42:38):
Yeah, how's the butter?
Speaker 17 (42:41):
How good? How much you can buy it? But you
can buy it. You can buy two fifty grand cakes
over here. And it's not there's not nothing to do
with New zellen But as long as you don't want
to buy your match, because can't take anything back to
New Zealand break days anyway. Yeah, all right, I just
sort of ring and tell you with success to the
year and enjoying ourself.
Speaker 3 (42:59):
Keep in touch, Bob. Anything else happens that's bad about it?
And he's een it in half an hour seems fear
hour We're going to go with that. Keep in touch
will go over the Gold Coast. Anything else, Marcus, the
extreme one diet, one giant protein me in the day
sounds like a perfect risk for constipation. That's from Lisa
A terrible always delayed so bad in New Zealand equals
(43:21):
flying prevention officers. Wow, Marcus, remember when you did the
train Duneys on TV? No question Mark, Marcus, I've had
guest stric bypassed years ago. Was one seventy now eighty
eight point five health wise one hundred percent better. Went private.
You do not be able to go to public because
of our nationality. I even tried to access my key
(43:45):
we saved. They wouldn't let me. So I went to
the bank to get a loan for twenty eight thousand
dollars covered my op and hospital and two years support.
Best money I could have spent. Hope this makes sense. Wow,
So it's diet and it's with GOVI or any of
those other ones that you want to talk about. If
you want to talk about that eight hundred eight and
(44:08):
nine to nine two detect Marcus till twelve, anything else
you want to talk about, a zempic Wigov, anything like
that the Gold Coast in US in and how hopeless
they are. I haven't fled flying much to see. Yeah,
I just think I think when you go on a holiday,
it's all an exercise and just kind of serender because
you don't really know what's going to happen. The flight
(44:28):
to always take forever, there's something always going bad. If
if you book in the morning, there's less chance of
things going wrong than in the afternoon, because it seems
though throughout the course of the day things just get bad.
So there's you know, your plane gets delayed. In that compounds.
I think it's always been in a fly in the morning,
and you've always got to have contingencies. You've got to
(44:50):
riggle room. It'd be horrible to be doing it and
then having to do something straight up, you know, having
to be panicked because you're going to miss it. Connecting.
I wouldn't want to do I can't do that. I'd
be inconsolable. But jumping, that's what we are on about tonight,
and also Woe Man and also Jetstar. There's something different
(45:13):
you want to mention that is good. I'm looking forward
to that tonight jump in anything goes here till twelve.
There's a strong wind warning for the Tunnahooer District in
Hawks Bay, and a road snowfall warning for the Desert
Road State Highway one, the Lewis Pass, which I think
is already closed, and the Milford Road. Yeah, but get
(45:36):
in touch if you want to talk. As I say, oh,
eight hundred and eighty, ten eighty, these are the topics
so far. There's something else you want to talk about.
God like to hear from you. Keep all the lines open.
Fourteen past nine. If there's breaking news, We're there for
you right when that happens. You even know what's going
to come out. Tonight seem as though there's trouble between
Poland and Russia. I haven't really done the deep dive,
(45:59):
and then I'll do that later on tonight, but after work.
But yeah, that doesn't look good. And the Epstein drawing, wow,
or the Trump drawing for eein, that's a pretty good
praying to sneak that and after all those years and
wait for the reveal if that was all it's clearly
Trump that's done it. But you know what I'm saying, Well,
(46:20):
how can the other scenario work that someone could actually
fake something that goes in someone's private birthday book. Unbelievable.
But mainly it's about a zempic and we're govy and
miracle weight loss. Have you tried that or have you
been turned down from it? Maybe for it from it.
(46:42):
That's what we are on about tonight, eight hundred and
eighty ten eighty. If there's something different you want to mention,
as I've said, good, I can handle that tonight. I
think a lot of people going overseas. I had talked
about this, A lot of people will go overseas to
Mexico for their gastric bands. But I think probably what's happened,
(47:04):
I think we'll go VI in a zempic. They've probably
nullified the need for gastric band surgery. They've also nullified
the need for weight watches. Weight watches have pivot into menopause.
I think that's what they're doing now. They've changed the
whole reasoning. Now this miracle drug has come in Marcus
(47:26):
exactly one month until hobby President Trump gets his Nobel Prize.
Maybe he'll go nuts of Greta wins and Steered Marcus
and Fluentia's in it. From gold Coaster to Christ chitch
On Sunday night on my Airpoints flight left early, superb staff,
great flight and meal service, no problem, having a free
second Chardona arrived home early, baggage of probably all in
(47:49):
all fantastic. Could fault it. So there's that also, Wow,
that's good. I mean I think probably, I don't know
it is with airlines. I think airlines by nature are
problematic because disruptions happen. It's whether in all sorts of things,
whether in difficult customers and all sorts of things. Need
a drunk customer that they had coming from Sydney to Queenstown,
(48:11):
they had to get them off. That would have delayed everything.
But need your calls. Anything goes here till midnight tonight.
Looking forward to what you've got to say. There's some
other topic you want to broach, Feel free to get
involved as I say, oh eight hundred and eighty ten eighty.
At the moment, it's woe mad, we're govy and get star.
Is that enough? Now? Powerball has rolled over once again
(48:39):
and will be worth ten million this Saturday, and it
must be one drawer. The special draw comes ahead of
a major technology up great plan later this month. What
would that be? So it's going to go to ten million,
that must be they must be changing the whole software,
the whole kitten gerboodle. That's what's happening with Lotto. So
it's ten million must be one, which they never do.
(49:01):
So that's happening. That's on Saturday. So that could be
advantageous to ticket that the odds might have improved. You
know what I'm saying. So get in touch if you
want to be a part of the show. As I said,
oh wait at eighty today and finally it looks like
Kim dot com they've cleared the hurdles for him to
be arrested, him to be experdited. I can't even remember
what year he got arrested. What year was the raid?
(49:24):
Was it twenty years ago? Nineteen ninety four?
Speaker 2 (49:30):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (49:30):
No, that might have been the first time he was
arrest in the state. Sorry, false alarm. I think Key's government.
Wasn't it a two thousand and three? No, two thousand
and nine was it? Or twenty twelve. I can't even
(49:54):
tell you what the answer to that is. People, you
might have some information on that. Also, No, I don't
know what year it would have been someone or no,
but yes, been touched twenty three past start. If you
want to talk hurdle to as you can actually probably
hesitate all the lines. If free, you've got to come
through tonight if there's something you do want to talk about.
Somebody said, yes, Key's government, thank you for that. We're
(50:16):
GOOVI and a zempic and diets also scams. Bad about
that couple in fre that got scammed and they gave
the people their pin number and they put the FPOs
cards in the letterbox. That's the next level scam. They
must have been pretty convincing. Marcus, as a new Plymouth resident,
I loved what Woeman did, but after I've been once,
(50:39):
that's all I wanted to see over it now. Cheers
Bill him Marcus. I flew United Airlines the other day
New Lax, Los Angeles. Flight was meant to take off
at five pm. Got to the airport at three pm.
We got off and on the plane five times, sat
on the tarmac for four hours, and at six am
they canceled the flight, rebooked on at nine am. Was mental,
(51:04):
made me miss my flight at home, didn't get any
food or a hotel vouches, nothing, silly America. So the
guy got their guy woman got their three pm for
a five pm flight. The flight left nine am the
next morning. Jeepers, And it's not good. And I'm look,
(51:25):
I don't know if there's more disturbances in America. There
probably is. More things can go bad. But do get
in touch if you want to talk on near Marcus
till twelve. There's something else. Of course, what about these polls,
the stuff websites having a poll is Wednesday, the worst
day of the week. Go it seems pretty banal, doesn't
(51:46):
it for a survey question? Because I just want data
they're acquiring of people. But jeepers, creepers. Oh well nine seven, Tony,
this is Marcus. Welcome now are yeah, Tony, I'm good.
Thank you for asking?
Speaker 10 (52:05):
Well you always ask someone is well, it's just the
way I was brought up. I'm only one hundred and fifty.
Speaker 6 (52:14):
Now.
Speaker 10 (52:15):
What I was ringing about is the to say it
took me by surprise would be slight exaggeration. That I
was at home and as a person here who I
wasn't greatly in favor of. But they said, gosh, you've
(52:38):
got a lot of books. And I said, I don't
know how many. And he started counting them, and he
stopped at five thousands, and it's just made me wonder
because I'm reading good old Charles Dickens hard times. At
(53:02):
the moment, people just don't read anymore, or if they do,
it's on a push button on the phone or computer.
Speaker 3 (53:14):
Yes.
Speaker 10 (53:17):
Uh, when I was a kid, when I was growing up,
everyone had books.
Speaker 3 (53:23):
Yes, how do you know people don't read? Tony?
Speaker 10 (53:26):
Are you are you?
Speaker 3 (53:27):
Are you traveling far in wide.
Speaker 10 (53:31):
Well from the sitting rooms to the kitchen, from the
kitchen to the toilet.
Speaker 3 (53:37):
But you see people, you see people don't read them?
Or what are you basing that on?
Speaker 6 (53:42):
Oh?
Speaker 10 (53:42):
Just the way he said it and where I am
on the Northland, so on.
Speaker 3 (53:48):
The results of one person, that's what you've based it.
Speaker 10 (53:50):
On pretty much. So it's not it's just what isn't
It's just something that I've noticed. It's not critical of people.
But it's just million years ago people would have been
(54:11):
surprised to have paper was written words, or it's just something.
Speaker 17 (54:21):
Uh, I have books.
Speaker 10 (54:25):
In the house, something you go to and you read
and uh, you put back and think one of those
of crap.
Speaker 17 (54:34):
And you keep it.
Speaker 3 (54:38):
It's very good. That's about long enough for me, Tony.
Thank you appreciate you coming through someone text I love
to buy books, but I never read them. I guess
it's some sort of unconscious hope that one die actually
will thank you for your honesty. Someone's wondering if the
FBI officers in and has any to do with the
perhaps possible extraditionon off Kim dot com. Gosh, the crimes
(55:01):
were so long ago. I wonder how serious they will
take them because sheerwhere and all that's probably kind of evolved,
Am I right? I don't know fully how the case
will look. It was twenty twelve apparently, so it hasn't
gone on for as long as people thought. It feels
like it's been going for twenty years, but only it's
about thirteen. If there's other stuff you want to talk
(55:24):
about tonight, feel free, don't be shy. Anything goes, anything
goes at all if you want to be a part
of the show.
Speaker 4 (55:36):
Yeah. Wow.
Speaker 3 (55:38):
Well, what Tori's five thousand books are? Apart from Dickens Well,
I didn't like is. I couldn't really follows because he
said there was someone there he didn't really want in
his house who was counting his books. What would that be?
What's the scenario going on there. It feels I could
write a short story around that. Who would be in
his house? Didn't really want un till I could make
(55:59):
of that. But yeah, full in the gaps, no holds barred.
I think it's what I'm saying is that the expression
no holds barred, talk back. Does that make sense? No
holds barred. Someone's tried to correct me on that. It's
(56:21):
a wrestling term, no holds barred. You can do the lot,
the death grip or whatever. Some fraud set up someone
down in Palmerston, East Otago lately, poor old bugger walked
down his long drive away in the dark with his
walker and left his card and pinn in the mailbox.
(56:42):
Sounds like the culprits might have been caught, which is
something that's great, yes, because what I to disturbed about
that one in Fangnade is that they are fraudster's in
New Zealand. Normally I thought they were doing it over
the phone from other countries, but these people seem to
be here, which is a worry. Here we go twenty
seven to ten o'clock, as I say, oh, eight hundred
(57:04):
and eighty ten eighty nine to nine to text if
you want to come through twenty six to ten. Colin,
this is Marcus.
Speaker 18 (57:14):
Good evening, are Umcus. I don't think that a lot
of people who looked at the text suystem just.
Speaker 3 (57:24):
Being your ready off yet.
Speaker 12 (57:26):
I don't think a lot of people look at the
TEX system.
Speaker 3 (57:43):
Is Colin. Colin, Ye, you must tune your radio off.
Sorry for sounding stone, but that's I.
Speaker 18 (57:50):
Haven't got it on.
Speaker 8 (57:51):
Sorry.
Speaker 18 (57:52):
I can hear it, and I haven't got the speaker
on it.
Speaker 3 (57:58):
I can hear myself in your in your kitchen.
Speaker 18 (58:06):
Yeah, I'll have to dry again tomorrow and see what's
the problem.
Speaker 3 (58:16):
I wild wild, I've convicted. I wouldn't be surprised if
mister Trump pardon Kim dot Com. It'd be hard to
know which way Trump could go. One way if you'd
lock him up forever or send him to where do
they send him to Ecuador? It depends how much capital
(58:38):
or Trump could make out of it. I think everything's
in terms of himself. Whether it would get people stop
talking about Epstein, I think that would be the key
for him. Your Jeff, this is Marcus.
Speaker 9 (58:49):
Welcome Marcus. I just want the first thing I want
to say is that these people who about the scam
about pulling in. I like, what's that? What's that bank card?
Et cetera, et cetera. All long to say is that
(59:11):
please elderly people? And uh? And it was only because
I sort of was querying what this lady was saying.
Speaker 13 (59:22):
Now.
Speaker 9 (59:22):
She told me that she was from working income and
I had some back pay. And I said to her,
oh ye, is that right? I said, well, it was funny.
I said, I haven't had a letter or any correspondence
regarding that. And she said, oh no, She said, we're
just informing everybody and I and she said, oh, just
(59:45):
we just need to verify your bank account number. And
I said, I was that right, Sweetart? I said, well,
I'll tell you what I said. I'll give you the
number of a dogton, but I wouldn't give you anything else.
Speaker 3 (59:58):
I werever sen details. Do you who was this that
phoned you?
Speaker 9 (01:00:02):
Yeah? You know, you know I said it to hey, lady.
Speaker 3 (01:00:07):
No, hang on, hang on. Jeff started the beginning. Is
this someone that's run your home?
Speaker 9 (01:00:14):
Somebody ranging my phone and said they were from working
income and that I had some backpack owing to me,
and they just wanted to verify my my bank account
number and I said, well, you've had it for about
(01:00:35):
eight years from now. So I said, I don't know
why the hell you wanted it any more. And I said,
I'll tell you what sweet that. I said, well, I
think all you're trying to do was I think you're
just trying to rip me off and get into my
bank account. And I said, so, I said, this is
just absolutely disgusting what you're saying, sweat love, And I said,
(01:01:00):
but there was. I was came through as an unknine
number and I couldn't do anything about it. I rang
the head lady in Wellington and I told her what
had happened, and she just said to me, goodness gracious me.
She said, that's propping awful, because she said to me,
(01:01:23):
I've also had another phone call from another couple of
people on a pension who was and this lady's been
saying to them, oh, we've got some back pay for you.
We just want to confirm bank account number.
Speaker 3 (01:01:39):
Okay, so have you got money out to you from Wins?
Speaker 9 (01:01:44):
No, no, no, there was no back pay. It was
just her trying to get the bank account numbers so
she che can probably go into it and rip me off.
Speaker 3 (01:01:55):
I'll be curious those people that get them to leave
their card to the letterbox don't know how that scam works.
Speaker 9 (01:02:01):
Yeah, well that was terrible.
Speaker 3 (01:02:05):
I'm not hearing I'm hearing it. Thank you. Gosh, what
a couple of calls they were, the guy with his radio.
I live in near Hamilton. It was cheaper to drive
and pay for parking than to fly from in New Zealand.
I flew from Organio christ John Jet stuff ready six
per way, one was six hundred per way. Unfortunately, the
seats on Jetstar, the seats were so close there was
(01:02:26):
zero room. Or you can suck it up for half
an hour though, can't you? I thought jet Star that's
playing through as big. It has been on a lot
of interviews on news talks about people not reading very recently.
But I guess you would be asleep during the day.
What a ridiculous text.
Speaker 9 (01:02:45):
That is.
Speaker 3 (01:02:48):
The point I was going to make to the guy
about people still read all the time. I suspect people
probably read more. A lot of it is probably stuff
on their phone, but still reading. I mean, most people
these days spend most of their time reading. They're on phones.
So yeah, I don't know that reading's gone altogether. Look,
(01:03:10):
the children. You got to get them to read it.
But you know they're reading stuff on and for me
reading something on tablets or a book, it's the same thing.
It's still reading. But no, I don't I'm not asleep
during the day. I don't listen asz Be during the
day because it's on AM, which drives me crazy most
(01:03:33):
of the time. I'm too busy reading, actually, but that's ironic.
The person that knows about people read because they've heard
on the radio should be reading yourself. But there's no
point in hoarding books. Why would you want five thousand
books that they could have been? A reader is to
actually get rid of your books so they don't haunt you.
I don't know what that is about people holding onto books.
(01:03:54):
You chuck them to the sales. I think you want
to be turning over. That's my advice to you, Davy.
This is Marcus.
Speaker 19 (01:04:02):
Welcome, Hey, Marcus, that you'll be pleased. I've turned my
radio off in the background.
Speaker 3 (01:04:10):
It was terrible, wasn't it.
Speaker 14 (01:04:12):
Cheer.
Speaker 19 (01:04:15):
Hey. Just following up on last night, I told you
about the noodles at prison, and I was intrigued that
you brought it up again tonight, So you wanted to
know how it was done?
Speaker 3 (01:04:27):
Yeah, so will I put my noodles on the sandwich maker? Right? Oh,
you've done it, But what do you do with the
What do you do with the triple sesche of the
chili and the soy sauce, those three different things? You
put those into it before you put it and compress it.
Speaker 10 (01:04:48):
Okay.
Speaker 19 (01:04:49):
So I did some researchs a little bit earlier tonight
and spoke to a former I wouldn't say, colleague, call
it flip flip, We'll call it instead, how the heck
did you used to do those? And he said, look,
(01:05:12):
split the brick in two, the noodle brick. Yes, slice
it into two, so you got like two slices of
bread if you like, Yes, and melt butter over it,
and then sprinkle the contents of the flavoring in the butter.
(01:05:37):
And so, I guess a noga butter. Melt that down
in the microwave tablespoon worth and then put your sachey
the condiments that you're talking about, and then so and
then spread that over it, and then press the sandwich,
(01:05:59):
make it down. And it's up to you as to
how much of that you're.
Speaker 3 (01:06:04):
Almost treating it like two bits of bread, aren't you,
And the stuff goes in the sandwich and then you
cook it like a toasted sandwich.
Speaker 19 (01:06:10):
Exactly, yes, and and but when you sit them on
the sandwich press, that's when you pour over your little
sprinkley of Yeah, that's good butter.
Speaker 9 (01:06:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:06:26):
Is your mate still cooking that way on the outside
or is it just a thing when you're.
Speaker 19 (01:06:30):
He does, he does, Yeah, I said you. Last time
I tried it, I tried it web. I've only tried
it the web, and it's got me so intrigued I'm
going to give it a go myself again.
Speaker 9 (01:06:44):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:06:44):
Okay, So you slice slice each ways into two, then
you put your condiment in the middle, you put it
back together with butter, and you put it back in
the sandwich press and you cook it.
Speaker 19 (01:06:55):
Yeah, and just just taste it until it smells right,
because you'll know if you're been in it, you know
what I mean?
Speaker 3 (01:07:03):
No, I go, but it wasn't bad the way I
did it. Just wasn't that more respelled. Try that again
tomorrow and.
Speaker 19 (01:07:09):
You just eat it like a biscuit, and they're bad.
Speaker 3 (01:07:13):
Nice to hear. Thanks for the callback, Davey. I appreciate
that fourteen to ten. Not sure if you could replay calls,
but that radio one was a butte Marcus. I love
the lily Put library is such a great idea. I
get really so many books that way and gave picked
out some really great reads. My kids have even picked
a couple for me from our local ones. As it's
next to the park. I think that's just where you
(01:07:33):
start a shelf and put your books on it. I
don't know about that. I think it's slightly performative. Look
at us, look at us, look at actually read. Look
how generous we are with our box. That's just me,
that's the way I think. So I might be wrong
about that. What will that weight loss medicine become like
(01:07:57):
a big black market money maker for all those who
struggle with weight but also can't afford it so turned
to those who get it for free due to diabetes.
Hadn't thought of that? Yeah, that's of interest. By the way,
(01:08:20):
the ODT is calling the forty four thousand dollars pavlover
stunt gone wrong, forty four thousand for Queenstown chopper ride.
This is Luxon and Ess abated forty four thousand of
public money to fly Astralia lead to add to the
alban Ezi And you said, the promise to christ Re
Luxan to the top of a Queenstown mountains a publicy
(01:08:41):
stunt gone badly wrong. It's pricey, Marcus. My elder mother
did just what you were talking about. Last year. The
bank wrung her, had name, etc. As she had unusual
banking activity, asked a whole of questions. Sounded real to
her that the bank needed to pick your fraudulent credit
card in the mail. She actually did thought she wrung
(01:09:02):
me before the card was picked up. She gave all
the passwords and everything. So you never ever put your
money card in the letterbox. That's why we don't have
a letterbox. Best thing we ever did was getting rid
of the letterbox. Had anyone for twenty five years. We
(01:09:23):
are talking with gov and o Zimpic. I recently moved
to per three years ago as I was really struggling
back and you said, and financially I work as a nurse.
I had no trouble of getting a job and it
has been an adventure. My first year, I had no
aircon in the house I rented, was miserable trying to
sleep during the heat wave. Have moved to a nice
house with three air con units now, thank goodness. Generally
(01:09:46):
I am much better off here, financially able to buy
a nice food filip my petrol tank and see the
twenty dollars at a time, able to provide for my
child things I could never afford, and you said, and
I do. However, miss home a lot. My heart will
always belong to Altieraua. I will apply for citizenship next year,
and I'm sure not sure if or when I will
come home. Also, you mentioned a zempic I've been on
(01:10:08):
for two years, only recently stopped due to the high cost.
They just increased it to four eighty per month. They
lost forty kilograms on it. Had my bloods done recently.
Everything is good, Cholesterol was great, no sign of diabetes.
A funny thing side effect was it popped off drinking alcohol.
I used to like a wine or two at night,
but when on a zempic, just didn't feel like it.
(01:10:30):
I think it might even affect gambling too. I think
it's good for everything. It stops that part of your brain.
It stops the response triggers the OxyContin pickup or the
I don't know the full terms for it, but it
seems to be good for gambling and probably even with smoking.
(01:10:53):
I don't fully know. I've read articles. I don't fully know.
I can't really explain it to you now, Yeah, but
I think it. Yeah, but seems to curve craving for alcohol.
You've a been off going on old interviews though, wouldn't you? Yes,
(01:11:18):
not good on Parkinson's. They thought it was going to
be uh you Janet's Marcus welcome.
Speaker 15 (01:11:28):
Did you say you went to the dentist.
Speaker 3 (01:11:31):
Yes, and it went well, semi well. Yes, I went to.
Speaker 15 (01:11:39):
The d interest as well, and I hadn't adit on
the roof of my mouth.
Speaker 3 (01:11:46):
That sounds painful.
Speaker 15 (01:11:48):
Yeah, And it had been there a week and because
they had to wait to get into the dentist, and
the swellling went into my cheek, happened to my sinness,
and I think it was affecting my eye. It running
and the pain was unreal, bing up and building up. Anyway,
(01:12:16):
I met and he took X rays and I knew
which tooth really was the problem, and just X rays
and then I think, you can't. I can't go home
with this lump because I was taking empty projects. But
(01:12:37):
it's not going to get rid of the lump and
the pressure and the pain. So he gets the scalpel things.
He rubbed the cream onto dull the pain on his
which made my tongue go just to leap, and then
he ran a scalpel into the lump right and into
(01:13:01):
the bone of my pelot in my mouth and screwed
it around. And I'm still shaking now, and that I can.
Speaker 3 (01:13:11):
Hear that you almost shaking listening to it, jen was
it was? There was there some relief.
Speaker 15 (01:13:19):
Well, I think the pressure is gone. And I got
some more antibiotics, and when I got hurrying, Mike got
into the opium in a tramadol and some adult because
I was still screaming the pain because it's the bone,
(01:13:40):
it's now painful. And he charged me five hundred dollars
just for doing that.
Speaker 3 (01:13:48):
Wow, how does it take?
Speaker 15 (01:13:51):
Oh? Well, there was quite a bit of talk and
what to do with the slay the two or pull it.
Out Of all this discussions, he thought I should go
into the hospital. David done and there's a long waiting
to get in. So I said, no, you bet that
(01:14:14):
I'm not going back to him.
Speaker 3 (01:14:16):
I think we're there for an hour. Jen Ha now.
Speaker 15 (01:14:25):
So I'm so traumatized. I think I'm having a new
that's breakdown. It's what it feels like.
Speaker 3 (01:14:34):
You're sounding quite rational, Jen, Yes, do you think Yes?
I do think that. I think you're sounding free rational.
Speaker 15 (01:14:44):
Yes, yeah, seems to be yelling. Do you think everyone
seems to be yelling on the radio.
Speaker 3 (01:14:54):
No, I think they're pretty good.
Speaker 15 (01:14:57):
I'm just wondering if everyone's going dead.
Speaker 3 (01:15:01):
Well, they might be a bet of that, well on
their phones or something. Well, there's a laugh from you.
Have you got enough painkillers for the night.
Speaker 15 (01:15:09):
Yeah, I'm taking them here. Pretail and the antie poltics
that I have to have food with the anti politics.
It's very hard eating and when you're mad this you.
Speaker 3 (01:15:22):
Got some tomato souper, You got some soup or something?
Speaker 15 (01:15:25):
You think, Yeah, I've got some soup, sash. I made
some scrambled eggs. Hopefully, get some food into me because
they haven't eating for about four days because the pain
was too bad.
Speaker 3 (01:15:42):
And probably should you probably should have got driving this
daisy to take you to A and E about four
days ago.
Speaker 15 (01:15:49):
So it's going up to here. You just sit in
the corridor.
Speaker 10 (01:15:53):
They can't do anything, Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:15:56):
I've got to run for I'm going to run yet,
but you take care. It's nice to hear from you. Well,
what a story. It was hard to listen to cheapers,
jetstar woe mad would go with the other three topics
so far, like why'd ye star? Why are so many
people going from christ Church to Hamilton back and forward?
Freaking me out? Where are they're going? It's like they're hidden.
(01:16:16):
I don't I don't think people are driving from Auckland
to Hamilton to go to Hamilton? Are they? But the
fe's out of their more expensive Also, we're go be
Has it worked for you? It's been around for a
couple I think it come up in the end of June,
July August. It's been a couple of months now. So
if that's happening for you and dentists and Jan's experience,
there's someone says, poor old Jan making a conscience just
(01:16:40):
decision not to seek medical attention through our health system
due to being desponded about the anticimated outcomes. What a
state we are in and none of it's good. None
of it's good when it comes to the state of
the nation. Try and remain positive. Cheap as Laurie Marcus welcome.
Speaker 20 (01:17:03):
Yeah, that Marcus, you're connected with the cost of those
the weight loss of drugs. I don't know if you've
heard of many people they're actually are taken the option
of the bariatric surgery and going up to Turkey. I know,
you know, two people and farms north of what a
(01:17:24):
group headed up there this week basically, but apparently you
know it's the place to go and for I think,
you know, sort of in the range of between eight
and ten thousand dollars that she fears in the operation
that's you get it all done.
Speaker 8 (01:17:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:17:40):
The last time I talked about bariatric surgery he had
about six years ago. We had quite a big session
on it, and everyone seemed to be going to Mexico,
Tijuana or something like that. And funnily enough, I've been
recently reading in Mexico on the border there is one
town and a town of about five thousand people, a
thousand of them a dentists. So when in America is
going down to Mexico for dentist treatment, so it must
(01:18:03):
be similar to Turkey. What's happened in Turkey for them
to have so much of.
Speaker 20 (01:18:07):
That, well's it just seems I'm in a great combination.
They seem to The medical arrangement seems to be such. Yeah,
I mean I think I think a lot of them
get medical training. You know, they're very well connected with Germany,
you know, Okay, and probably it's maybe where they do
their medical training, but it seems to be it's a
(01:18:29):
big concern. I mean.
Speaker 3 (01:18:31):
And also there's a lot of people going out with
things that they can't get treatment for on NEWSID and
are going to Germany. I'm hearing a lot of people
going to Germany with their kids for specialized treatment. Also,
so Germany must be must have a highly advanced medical system,
I would imagine.
Speaker 20 (01:18:46):
Yeah, apparently, I mean all the built in that you do.
You get a tour of the old the Grand Bazaar
and Saint Sophia's Well, yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:18:56):
I don't know how i'd feel about medical tourism. I
don't know if you'd re relax before the event, and
I don't think you can relax after it either.
Speaker 14 (01:19:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 20 (01:19:04):
No, I think there's a bit of quite a track record.
You know, a lot of people have got a lot
of confidence things that.
Speaker 3 (01:19:09):
I don't make them go to Vietnam. He had a
whole mouthree done. It was unbelievably. He did video postings
but cheap as creepers. They did a lot of work
quite quickly, like all his teeth throughout, and it was
unbelievable that.
Speaker 20 (01:19:22):
The preps this what probably what Jen really needs.
Speaker 9 (01:19:25):
Well that is, I don't just mean.
Speaker 20 (01:19:29):
A couple of weeks ago you were touching on what
you know, what you thought what Tom Phillips might be
cooking on. I see he deffinitely was cooking with guess
he is the pictures of his latest Yeah, that's.
Speaker 3 (01:19:40):
How they avoided a tecture with the fire, I imagine. Well,
and also cooking at night maybe.
Speaker 20 (01:19:45):
Yeah, well he's got you know, the big guest bottles
and it's getting by with He's called it twenty four
packs of Jack Daniels whiskey and cold.
Speaker 9 (01:19:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 20 (01:19:56):
It was interesting. I don't be interesting to see what
the menu was as the food wise, because apparently you
know on that the quad, you know where they did
their us breaking down theopy and coming back they're stripped.
They had a whole lot of gum boots in that,
but there was a number of large bags of I
think they said it was stock feed or a type
(01:20:18):
of maize.
Speaker 3 (01:20:18):
It was maze and I could not work that out.
I could not work out if they were luring animals
in because they couldn't shoot them, to net them, because
they couldn't shoot them, or quite what was happening. I say,
I mean he but yeah, I don't know what that
would have been.
Speaker 20 (01:20:31):
I couldn't work down interesting thing to select on. They
weren't really given that the trouble I went to go
and get it. But yeah, well I no doubt that
we well we'll probably get to see what the food
stocks were like.
Speaker 3 (01:20:48):
Yeah, look, I'm sure, Yeah, I'm sure there's stuff that
will come at you about that year about what they're
eating are They seem to be a lot of photos
and a pretty big police investigation.
Speaker 20 (01:20:57):
Yeah, you know, they seemed to pretty certain they're going
to be able to track down who's supplying the stuff
and still reasonably shirt there's quite a few other camps
around as well. That uh, yeah, the you know what
I do, it's my other job. I was involved taking
(01:21:22):
high resolution photographs of a number of sites up there,
all back there over a year ago. And yeah, they
were certainly looking far and wide.
Speaker 3 (01:21:34):
Were you were you were you part of the detection effort.
Speaker 20 (01:21:36):
Lorrie I was engaged to take aerial photos a whole
bunch of coordinates that were supplied, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:21:45):
To try and look for the camp.
Speaker 20 (01:21:47):
Yeah, for anything. There was a whole lot of targets
basically that the police had lined up. Yeah, and because
reasonably unobtrusive, because they couldn't in a lot of places,
they couldn't use the drone and they didn't want to
make all the noise with the helicopters and that sort
of stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:22:05):
Well, that's that's quite fascinating. So you went through at
what height?
Speaker 20 (01:22:10):
Well, we'll probably been over a thousand feet above the ground,
but we had because we're doing it on corners. We
weren't sort of flying, you know, like a test pattern
or a search pattern. We're just just turnnling on a
straight line and just taking photos at the coordinate positions,
and so just like you know, not doing any turns
(01:22:32):
close by these sites because it would.
Speaker 3 (01:22:35):
Just And did you did you do the analysis or
the police do the analysis?
Speaker 20 (01:22:41):
No, they do the analysis. I just supplied the images.
Speaker 3 (01:22:43):
Yeah, yeah, And did you see did you look at
the images?
Speaker 20 (01:22:47):
Yeah, I've looked at them. Yeah, we didn't we didn't
find any people.
Speaker 3 (01:22:50):
No clearing for firewood or anything like that.
Speaker 20 (01:22:54):
Oh well, no, there was a whole range of sites. Yeah,
basically probably go into what they were, but yeah, but
a lot further afield, wide ranging than that the initially
thought and what they're talking about.
Speaker 3 (01:23:11):
You know, it went geographically a lot more wide arranging.
Speaker 20 (01:23:15):
Yeah. Well you would have probably spent probably for four
hours in the year or probably you know that was
some of that's positioning, but three hours sort of getting around.
Speaker 19 (01:23:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 20 (01:23:25):
So yeah, there was probably well all over twenty sites
that they had, but you know, and it was just
to get be able to get high resolution imagery, up
to date stuff, you know, checking things out.
Speaker 3 (01:23:42):
Yeah, nice to hear for good information, Lari, thank you
for that. Fifteen past ten Hamilton's talking flights only forty
six dollars on sale. Yes, I'd rather catch a train
than flight, bring the Northern it back or get in touch.
So bariatric surgery versus a impact, Also flights and jets,
anything else you want to talk about, Feel free to
get in there. Eight hundred and eighty eighty does he
(01:24:05):
breaking news. I'll bring that to you. Let me think
what else I know it's not looking good in Europe
and Poland because the Russian war seems to be escalating,
with Poland now shooting down Russian drones because they're over
their airspace. That can't be done accidentally either way. So
(01:24:29):
that's happened. But getting touched you on talk about any
of these things. As I say, he til twelve o'clock tonight.
Feel free to be involved. If there's something different you
want to talk about, if something you're same you want
to talk about, you are more than welcome. One of
(01:24:53):
the Australian opposition senators just in a price. She's been
sacked for her comments that she made about mass migration.
She accused Labor government and Australia bringing in large numbers
of Indian migrants to help boost its vote. She wouldn't apologize.
(01:25:13):
Now she's been forced to resign. That's the latest there
from Australia. That's just happened in the last hour. And
the Polish PM says we are closer to war than
any time since World War Two. So Poland PM issues
chilling warning and please for support from allies. As Putin
(01:25:35):
suicide drones, a picture on NATO saw it after being
shot down overnight. Putin provokes West. That's the headline. Oh wait,
one hundred and eighty today, someone says Center text about
noodle cooking method earlier tonight, just to lighten the mood
after the World War three talk. Yes, I saw that
we wanted to talk more about people that were cooking
them on their sandwich, Make her dry? Wouldn't mind a
(01:25:57):
better recipe for that? Shewit's Marcus, Welcome, good evening.
Speaker 14 (01:26:01):
I'm Marcus. I'm sitting here eating my dinner in the
Youth after a good round rabbit shooting, and I'm not
having noodles, Big Paddy and Rice. What I wanted to
talk about was Tom Phillips and the shootout. At the
shootout that they had when he wounded the police officer,
it said that he fired multiple shots from a high
(01:26:24):
powered rifle. Now, what I'm interested in is whether that,
if anybody knows, whether that high powered rifle was a
bolt action rifle or whether it was a semi automatic rifle.
And this leads on to the changes in the legislation
after the Mosque shootings where semi automatic rifles were banned,
and so theoretically it should have only been a bolt
(01:26:48):
action rifle. But if it was a semi automatic rifle.
Then he's been supplied with an illegal firearm by an accompass,
or he's got it from somewhere which should never have
been in the theater of activity they were confiscated.
Speaker 3 (01:27:06):
I'll just interrupt you there. You're obviously a firearm guy,
and you've been probably following the story closer than I
am because I haven't been interested in the forensic aspectcause
imagine all that will come up in the independent police inquiry.
What do you know about the firearm?
Speaker 14 (01:27:23):
I've only heard that it was a high powered rifle
and that the officer had got shot and the head
and the shoulder. As I understand it now, I hunked
with high powered rifles, and everybody out there listening who's
got a deer rifle know the kind of damage those
kind of high powered rifles can.
Speaker 3 (01:27:39):
But but it seemed to me to be that it
was the police officer was very lucky, lucky not to
be shot. Not to be not clear.
Speaker 14 (01:27:48):
Yes, absolutely, absolutely absolutely, it was just an act of
a pure active luck that the bullet had a fatal
piece or an artery. I mean, your head is pretty fatal,
and he's obviously got a damaged eye. I wish him well.
I had to come through this, okay, But with the
(01:28:09):
changes of the legislation, any simile automatic rifle should have
been not available. Now if he's been supplied a bulk
action rifle by somebody, or he's stolen bolk action rifles,
they should all be now on the registry. It was
recorded that it was deemed that firearms all need to
be registered in the same way as you register a car.
(01:28:30):
So the police should be able to have got the
rifles now in the firearms if they had been registered
at some stage, it will be a simple amount of
doing a database check on the registration number and you go, hey,
that rifle was owned by Joe Blogs. How did that
rifle get from Joe Blogs to Tom Phillips.
Speaker 3 (01:28:49):
And also he might have been given firearms that were
legally owned and stole people's positions. That's your other point,
isn't it.
Speaker 14 (01:28:57):
That's the other point. But if there are registered firearms
on the registry, it's just one plus one equals too
and suddenly you've got a big kit of light pointing
straight at the accompass. Who supplied the rifles?
Speaker 3 (01:29:12):
Yes, So it seems it seems the parent that the
police are and you would have heard in the news
bulletin that there's all sorts of investigations now into into
which people assisted them.
Speaker 14 (01:29:21):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but that just I would if you
like that clarified by the police as to whether it
was a bolt action rifle.
Speaker 3 (01:29:31):
And Hugh, as I've said, there will be all sorts
of information coming through for the police because they'll need
to investigate this because someone was shot by the police
and that always means investigation, and there's no doubt all
this information will come out. But obviously what you can
understand is that that that will take a long time
and the priority probably is to is to serve justice
rather than to actually satisfy people's curiosity. That would be
(01:29:54):
my take on it. I'm sure we will find out
which you'll be happy with. You'll be happy with.
Speaker 14 (01:29:59):
A well, I'm not happy with the whole situation. You know,
officer of the law put his life on the line
and nearly got killed, and to me, that's just a really,
really bad outcome from a firearms owner. You know, I
work pretty closely with the police in my role as
a peace control shooter. I'm talking to the police all
the time. They know where I am and what I'm doing.
Speaker 3 (01:30:20):
Have you got semi automatics for goats because they flee,
or kangaroos, wallabies.
Speaker 14 (01:30:26):
The only semi automatic rifle that I have now is
a twenty two room fire. Anyone in the country can
have a semi automatic room fire twenty two. It's your
ribbit rifle. I don't have a semi automatic center fire rifle,
which under the description used by the media would be
that high powered rifle, that high powered category.
Speaker 3 (01:30:47):
But isn't there some stock controlling like wallabies. You need
the rapid fire because otherwise you'll have one shot I'll
never see them again.
Speaker 14 (01:30:55):
Absolutely absolutely. If you are a pest control shooter hunting
those species in that theater like rotas one area the
south ends the other area, then you can as a
registered pest control shooter. And I stress that you've got
to be registered, you've got to go through the vetting process,
(01:31:18):
and then you've got to have and you can get
a semi automatic centifire rifle. The most popular those would
be the two two, three or five point five six
you want to call it that. That's the bullet day
and that's a military round. And so Administrator is cheap
because it's the military round and there it's an effective
caliber for that size animal. If you were going for
(01:31:40):
a pail or goats, you might go to a three
or eight or a two seventy or six or something.
But for a hunting wallabies on the run and goats
and large numbers on the run, pest control shooters are
legally entitled to have similar rifles center fire rifles, and
(01:32:01):
that is how it should be because and they have
to extra security because it's the best tool for the job.
Speaker 3 (01:32:11):
Nice to hear from you if you think that twenty six
past ten, keep your calls coming through. If you do
want to talk, the number is eight hundred and eighty tetio.
It's nine two nine two text. Welcome to it. If
you want to be part of a partaker interesting development
with Lotto, it's got to be drawn power It's got
(01:32:32):
to be one powerball this weekend because they're changing their
whole system how Lotto's going to work. It's just like
so if you go and buy it on a screen,
you can see what you've ordered and all your powerball
everything can be on the same ticket. It's always been
a bit clunky, so that's probably a good thing if
you're in the grip of gambling. Marcus. Highly likely the
(01:32:53):
guns were owned by Tom Phillips, as he would have
a gun license since he was a hunter. Well, I
think that's probably speculation. But yeah, they will know once
they've found them, and they'll be able to trace those
I mentioned from their numbers. They will know how many
went to the bush with. Also, yes, I don't know
huge about it about was he a hunter, that what
(01:33:15):
his job was not that was the case with that.
I just thought he was a skilled bushman. I don't
know if it's ever said that he was a hunter.
Someone might have some information by there twenty nine to
eleven steven, it's Marcus, welcome.
Speaker 10 (01:33:30):
Oh good eating there is. My daughter bought me five
scratchy tickets for Father's Day and I had never bothered
to buy these things before, so that's okay. I was
quite excited, and then I had to read the instructions.
(01:33:50):
Have a player, but then the right down on the
back of them and very small prindics at sarma purchase.
Some prize may have been one yes yees at the
(01:34:11):
time of purchase. Sunset prizes may have been one. Well,
I don't recommends a saying, oh.
Speaker 3 (01:34:20):
Well, how else could they run it? Because if you've
got like twenty thousand tickets and there's a one hundred
thousand dollars prize and someone got it in the first week,
then they couldn't run that particular. They'll be losing money,
wouldn't they.
Speaker 10 (01:34:41):
I was a person, But.
Speaker 3 (01:34:43):
That's why it's that. That's why it's because, yeah, you're
quite you could quite you could quite likely be buying prizes,
buying scratches, and the price is already gone and you
wouldn't know.
Speaker 10 (01:34:52):
That's right. Yes, that's how I feel about it.
Speaker 3 (01:34:56):
I think it's a rawt you I need for my size. Yeah,
no I do. I do because they never tell you.
And yes, they keep selling them because I don't know
how long I guess they sold until they're all sold out.
But yeah, I think it's very sketchy, the whole scratch
key we think. I think it's not a fair form
of gambling at all.
Speaker 10 (01:35:17):
Well to me to light, I won't be buying any
more of them.
Speaker 3 (01:35:22):
You didn't buy them, though, did you? Your daughter did?
Speaker 5 (01:35:24):
There?
Speaker 9 (01:35:25):
Yees?
Speaker 4 (01:35:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:35:26):
I don't like all that stuff that gets in your
nails either, or that black scum that comes off them.
Did you would anything, Stephen?
Speaker 4 (01:35:33):
No?
Speaker 12 (01:35:33):
Nothing.
Speaker 3 (01:35:34):
How much was the prize supposed to be?
Speaker 10 (01:35:38):
They varied? Is the selection of prizes? Yeah, there's one hundred,
one thousand, fifty twenty.
Speaker 3 (01:35:49):
What was the biggest prize? Was the biggest prize? One thousand?
Speaker 10 (01:35:53):
They're the biggest rises ten thousand?
Speaker 3 (01:35:57):
Okay, Yeah, I've never known. It's an interesting topic, Steven.
Maybe someone else what would have comment on that? But
thank you, I've never liked it with the prize already
have won jump and if you want to talk, my
name is Marcus. Welcome anything else you want to talk about. Yay,
she's waited a long time to get into the gambling.
If you want to be involved with the show, eight
(01:36:19):
hundred and eighty ten eighty, that's my name and I'll
be here. Well that's not my name. My name is Marcus,
but I'll be here until twelve local body elections. Remember
to vote? Did that today? Found out of rejoyous occasion?
Got the kids involved? God, my alter? Did my people
have died for democracy?
Speaker 9 (01:36:39):
Speech?
Speaker 3 (01:36:41):
And they'll probably die again for democracy? Someone said, the
lotto counter can tell you what prizes have left. The
info is in the terminal there we go. I suppose
if you buy them for Father's Day, you don't really
bother finding out. So if all the prizes have gone,
do they still sell them? I guess they must. That
you might be a lotto expert. That would be interesting
(01:37:03):
for me to hear about that. I'm not really ill.
I don't buy lotto. Occasionally I'll get sent some. I
don't really know what to do when I get sent them.
I just said any prizes in them, but I'm never
quite sure where you're supposed to go with that. I
don't know how many of them they sell. Well, they're
still certain. They must be popular. Jetstar's two new routes
(01:37:27):
and the biggest single expansion daily Hamilton to christ Jurch
and seasonal Brisbane to Queenstown. I guess the Brisbane to
Queenstown is probably going to be more successful with people
going from Brisbane to Queenstown than Queenstown or people going home.
But I imagine more people want to go from Brisbane
to Holliays and Queenstown than people in Queenstown going for
(01:37:48):
on holidays in Brisbane. That's just a guess. Good evening, soeign, Yeah,
good things.
Speaker 4 (01:38:00):
Was tune again.
Speaker 2 (01:38:02):
Yeah, I thought I'll give you amportant to head it
fast and they pitched it on just be four months ago.
Speaker 3 (01:38:13):
Oy, Sorry, I could just just get your like your
phone is a bit quickly, are you on speaker or something?
Can just get your line a little bit better?
Speaker 2 (01:38:20):
Yeah, I can sell it. Yep, I don't know that
see it. Then I'm only sorry. That's probably not as
good a could. I'll get that on. Put this sort
and then it will be a bit of a life
and I think, yep, great, Sorry, no worries, give me.
Speaker 20 (01:38:45):
I just thought that.
Speaker 2 (01:38:46):
But I'm obviously names free.
Speaker 3 (01:38:48):
So you' no drummers?
Speaker 21 (01:38:50):
Okay, m hm oh.
Speaker 3 (01:39:12):
You mean yeah much?
Speaker 22 (01:39:15):
Thanks for pastoring with that, no worries. I just put
on another history. Yeah, so yeah, I just got me
a call.
Speaker 3 (01:39:24):
So, so you said you had the surgery and and
and Turkey four months ago?
Speaker 22 (01:39:30):
Yeah, just the May. I had it done in East
endbull because.
Speaker 3 (01:39:34):
Because when I talked about this five years ago over
and was going to Mexico. How did you decide on Turkey?
What's changed? Why has that become the place?
Speaker 4 (01:39:40):
Do you know?
Speaker 15 (01:39:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 22 (01:39:43):
I think it's become really competitive over there, obviously, not
just what great loss, but keen transplants, you know, money
makeovers and things like that. So I think Mexico is
still of a viable option. Yeah, I I opted Forstan
but I was good twicing. Yeah were you?
Speaker 7 (01:40:09):
So?
Speaker 3 (01:40:10):
Are you able to get it done in New Zealand?
Speaker 22 (01:40:13):
So my situation was I could have done on the
waiting list, and I just really didn't want to wait
any longer to get on that waiting list. Every helpful
is different. And I'm in the Wellington region and get
to get down to one hundred and sixty kilo to
be able to get on the waiting list, and I struggled.
(01:40:34):
I fluctuated between one probably the last I've been.
Speaker 3 (01:40:39):
Okay, sorry, can I just pause you there? Do they
ask you to get down to that weight because it
means that it means that the surgery has more chance
of being successful? Or is there something slightly patronizing when
they're saying you've got to do some of the effort yourself.
What's this like? Why why do they because surely the
heavier you are, the more you need it.
Speaker 9 (01:41:01):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 22 (01:41:03):
I think there is a bit of a I didn't
want you to, you know, show some smitment and lose
the weight. Look, the option with me going over I
just had to stop eating. I think it was twenty
four hours before, so I didn't have to go through
the whole procedure. Look, other people that have gone overseas,
they had thirty four weeks before to get their weight
(01:41:24):
down and the diet.
Speaker 10 (01:41:25):
Saur I guess I was.
Speaker 22 (01:41:28):
I was lucky enough to not have to.
Speaker 4 (01:41:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 22 (01:41:32):
Yeah. The other option was it was twenty eight years
and at bull Clop Hospital in Lahat, which was quite
expensive to pick the five grand and turkey and then
and then other option was key. You say that, but
you have to prove hardship.
Speaker 3 (01:41:50):
Yes, a lot of people d do.
Speaker 22 (01:41:54):
But you've got a tree that you can't get the loans.
I mean I was able to get alone to get the.
Speaker 3 (01:42:00):
Ada and the and the five and the five grands
without the effees are clear, the effe.
Speaker 22 (01:42:08):
Without the but it does incled the support reason and
they both got a hotel accommodation six six nights must
trend first between the airport and in the hospital as well.
Speaker 3 (01:42:20):
The private hospital done sor was any of it like
a holiday? We just over there, got it done and
came back Because I don't think i'd be fitting like
sight seeing or did you do a bit of that.
Speaker 22 (01:42:32):
Look, you're right, I heard you saying that before. And
we did get out for a day and had to
look around, did the Grand Bazar, and but look, my
mind was really set on just getting the operation done.
It was a bit hard for me to try and
swatch off, if you like. I just really wanted to
get in there and get it over with and start
my news journey, if you like.
Speaker 3 (01:42:51):
And I presume it's be They always seem to be successful, yours, was.
Speaker 7 (01:42:56):
It.
Speaker 22 (01:42:57):
So I've had a couple of I've been in hospital
a couple of times. But look, look the other thing
to consider. Don't have the seeds. I think the proceed
is dead. But when you get the proceeds again in
your zeal and you keep two years follow up with
the dietitian and counseling and everything. When you go overseas,
you gang had the follow up. You've got to organize
(01:43:19):
all that yourself when you come back, so it's all
out of your profit. So that's that's the other thing.
Speaker 8 (01:43:26):
But look, to be.
Speaker 22 (01:43:28):
Honest, now that I'm getting my diet on treat and
getting the right supplements, I mean, I've lost almost fifty
five kilo in my four months, so it's good.
Speaker 3 (01:43:40):
So you're you're just you're you're down to one hundred.
You down to one hundred kilos almost, are you well?
Speaker 22 (01:43:46):
I was one hundred and eighty five. I believe that
was one hundred and eighty five. Some one hundred and
thirty two, now fifty. You know, so they think I
just get down to the eighty eight kilo, I think
there's not be a little bit. I'm thinking ninety five
one hundred. I'll obviously here for you, you know, I'm
let it do its thing and then it to us
(01:44:06):
what I did to you. Yeah, I'm excited, but it's
it's been a kidney and I had that it sold
them to relations if you like. But yeah, I'm excited
for the for the new chapter.
Speaker 3 (01:44:22):
And it was worth doing it. Obviously you think it
was the right thing to do.
Speaker 22 (01:44:27):
Yeah, I did, and I myself because the two options
but you can get agtic sleep.
Speaker 2 (01:44:36):
Or a guest.
Speaker 22 (01:44:37):
Bypassed and the supercausing recommended to bypass for long term benefits.
To lose the more weight and it's a bit more
with the diastic sleeve, you can't street the stomach down.
And I've read a lot of on some of the
support papers on Facebook, people keeping to go back and
(01:44:57):
get the bypass. Later on I thought I didn't really
want to do that.
Speaker 8 (01:45:01):
I put problem and get it.
Speaker 3 (01:45:04):
Yeah, yeah, I'll tons of luck Sor and thanks for
coming through and telling us that. So I really appreciate
your calling about that. Found that very interesting. Fifteen to
whenever we are talking about gastric bypass, also were go
VI and a zempic. Marcus. We haven't received our voting
papers yet, Anna Auckland, Thank you for that. There is
a point where lot of withdraws the scratch game. Thank
(01:45:25):
you for that, Marcus. I feel sorry for the policeman
who has been given the job as scene guard at
Tom phillips camp site. Cold, scary and boring. Marcus. When
does the voting close? Please? And think? I think it's
the twelfth of October. Hello, Marks. If Tom Phillips had
prior convictions or a non on station order against him
(01:45:47):
due to his matrimonial situation, he would not be He
would not beat the fit and proper status to retain
his firearms license, and his rifles would have been confiscated,
which leads to theft of firearms or someone supplying him
with firearms. Marcus, we just finished our sponsors Garla Night
for Jersey Boys and tote on that. What a show.
What's the song? I like about that one? There's a
(01:46:09):
song and Judy Boys I love carry me what it does.
Speaker 9 (01:46:15):
Good?
Speaker 3 (01:46:16):
Marcus will be testing a weight loss regime of regular tramping.
The summer will either work or kill me. Hello, Tony,
this is Marcus. Good Evening.
Speaker 7 (01:46:25):
Hey go Marcus.
Speaker 3 (01:46:26):
You're right mate, You're good, Tony.
Speaker 7 (01:46:29):
Hey, you're talking about the old instant Kiwis and stuff
there before?
Speaker 4 (01:46:34):
Yep.
Speaker 7 (01:46:35):
And I just want to tell you. I was about
thirteen and the old McDonald's monopoly had just started up,
and I was waiting there one and the Troyes Street,
Bloody McDonald's and from a Happy Meal, and I opened
(01:46:56):
my ticket and it was Pat Lane. I was like, oh,
you're sweet. I got mayfee at home. And anyway, the
girl behind the canvases, well, you got mate here at home?
I was like, yeah, she's He said, You've just won
a million dollars and she started screaming and the manager
(01:47:16):
came over and he's like, if you got major at home?
I was like, yeah, yeah, I've got it at home.
He's like, well don't mate, you just found McDonald's million
dollar monopoly. So anyway, yeah, you can't find it anywhere.
I've got the whole family. You turn with turnery drawer
inside out, and we can't find it. And about ten
(01:47:43):
years later, my parents were shifting house. I found the
box and old stuff in the basement in the middle
of an old passport. You to click the corner off
the old passports when they're explored, and there was there
was made here. Yeah, so I couldn't match the nut,
so I missed out of a million backs I made
(01:48:05):
the first, I made Personalion when I third aim and
lost it.
Speaker 3 (01:48:09):
It's unbelievable. Yeah, which was the common one, the park
Lane or the Mayfair, because one of them would have
been really rare.
Speaker 7 (01:48:18):
Yeah, the Mayfair was the real one.
Speaker 3 (01:48:23):
And yeah, so how many weeks earlier had you got that?
Do you think?
Speaker 7 (01:48:31):
I just I never realized how important it was. It
was in my school blazer for probably a couple of weeks.
Speaker 3 (01:48:40):
I couldn't cope with that.
Speaker 7 (01:48:44):
Well, my old man couldn't.
Speaker 3 (01:48:53):
What do you mean, I mean, because it's a lot
of money. Well, yeah, it's a long time ago too,
isn't it.
Speaker 7 (01:48:58):
Yeah, well this is well, this is probably eighty nine
ninety m McDonald's million dollar monopoly. And it was I
was never claimed and that was because of me.
Speaker 3 (01:49:13):
How long did you look?
Speaker 8 (01:49:14):
For?
Speaker 7 (01:49:16):
About three weeks? Everyone, the old man couldn't look me
in the art or a month or star after that.
Speaker 3 (01:49:26):
And the good thing is, I suppose there's any good
thing about that. You didn't doubt yourself. You know, you
didn't think I just mentioned today. I mean, you knew
you were right and that you were vindicated.
Speaker 7 (01:49:35):
Yeah, the place, the whole house was upside down. Oh hell,
that was crazy in saying that it was probably a
good thing. I probably would have wrapped a d KDI
madeor cycle around a powerfole or something.
Speaker 3 (01:49:53):
He's a good point, but still a million. But we
called it four million of today's money.
Speaker 7 (01:49:59):
Yeah, And the thing was it wasn't you went paid
a lunch summer was a thousand dollars a month any
many years how because I was reading, because we'd riddle
the fine print as we're trying to hunt for the mayfair.
Speaker 3 (01:50:19):
I never I'd never have coped.
Speaker 7 (01:50:22):
Well, yeah, you know, I you know I'm quite glad
to say that I made the first millions. It's a
good camp that I can get.
Speaker 14 (01:50:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:50:36):
Did they didn't take it? Were that was the George
Streek McDonald in touch with you, asking you when you're
coming back or anything.
Speaker 7 (01:50:42):
No, no, no, no, I had nothing from McDonald's. Just
was the massive fans here. When I was there in
the store, I was like here and then yeah, now they.
Speaker 3 (01:50:56):
Would have they would have wanted you to be a
winner two because you know they'll be insured for it.
Speaker 7 (01:51:01):
Yeah, yeah, no, not different times.
Speaker 3 (01:51:04):
Define Yeah, Okay, it's a good story, Tony. I appreciate
that greatly. Wow, imagine that thirteen losing, We're having a
million dollars not be able to find the other ticket. Hi, Marcus,
I can talk about two of the three subjects. I've
been taking we Go of You for six weeks, which
I think might be the ended vision of his zempic.
(01:51:25):
So far, I've lost four kgs. Another six I'll be
at my ideal weight. We also own a food trucks
that are considering about applying for Woe Mad for the
first time, but now obviously won't be Yeah. I think
probably the food trucks had a hard time of it
last time because there weren't that many people. Yeah, and
(01:51:46):
I thought some of the food trick trucks were off
the mark a little bit too, by the way, not
that I'm a great foodie, but yeah, I had a
cold paeala anyway. But hopefully it comes back in twenty
twenty seven, I'll be there And that's not a bad
thing now, thank you for that. But gee, that McDonald's
(01:52:09):
story flip a puddon, Dan, that's a question for your quiz. Yes,
it should be what McDonald's was he at because it
was George Street Duneda love Scratch. He's the five dollars
double crossword gives the best value for money in terms
of the life it takes to find out you haven't
(01:52:31):
won anything. If never enters my mind that I could
win the top prize. I like to make up words
from the letters that I need towards the end of
the process. Dan, that's a question for your quiz. Oh my,
the story I like. The song I like from the
Jersey Boys is My Eyes Adored You. I think it's
(01:52:52):
a great song. Don't know the history of it, but
I've heard that play a number of times. It's a ripper,
we're govy Turkey anything else. When you buy scratches, you
can ask the retail of the big prize I've gone
or not new scratchy. I often ask which is the
newest scratch there is, hopefully has the most price in it.
That seems to make sense to me.
Speaker 14 (01:53:13):
I liked it.
Speaker 3 (01:53:13):
Know if it's snowing on the desert road yet, that
would be kind of interesting topic. Spring weather garbage, isn't it?
The next ten ten days looks like it's raining and
a lot of outdoor stuff to do. Hey, Jack, this
is Marcus. Welcome, thanks for calling.
Speaker 4 (01:53:31):
Hey Marcus, are doing all right?
Speaker 22 (01:53:33):
Good?
Speaker 3 (01:53:33):
Thanks Jack? You're going good good?
Speaker 4 (01:53:35):
Yeah, that's jumped off a plane from Singapore and driving
back down to tear on it.
Speaker 3 (01:53:39):
I'm good. Converted everywhere with roadworks you've been sorry diverted with.
Speaker 4 (01:53:45):
Our roadworks or the motorways closed between Drury and rama
Ramath driving out the back in the countryside somewhere.
Speaker 3 (01:53:52):
Okay, Well, thanks for ringing.
Speaker 4 (01:53:55):
I just think and that's sort of thing and how
expensive it is. It's I'm former. I've always been fit
in my life, but you know, the last couple of
years I seem to be pretty quite a bit of Wait, yes,
even though I was going to the gym five days
a week.
Speaker 3 (01:54:11):
Yes, And I was like, oh wow.
Speaker 4 (01:54:13):
So I read a lot of stuff about prolonged fasting,
a lot of stuff on YouTube about it and how
good it is for you. And so once three two weeks,
I past for thirty and then I eat for the
six days. I eat what they call a worry of fast,
so I don't eat for twenty hours and they'd eat
in a four hour window. Still do my exercise, and
(01:54:35):
I've cut out most macrbohydrates, not everything, and I was
lost eight in kilos in four weeks sorry four months,
and feel amazing. It's great and it's actually cheaper because
you save the money on food. It's awesome.
Speaker 3 (01:54:48):
You're kind of cutting out of it. So how does
how does prolonged fasting work? Tell me the details of it? Again?
Speaker 4 (01:54:54):
So prolonged fasting, it's you. I do it for thirty
six hours, and you go into the state called autophagy,
which basically it gets rid of all the bad sells
anybody that makes you feel. You have a hunger hormone
called grillin, and that turns off about twenty one hours,
and you don't feel hungry, and it's spelt like a high,
(01:55:14):
but it cleans out your digestive system. It sorts everything out.
So every time you eat a snack, even if it's
a healthy snack, it raises your insulin levels. And insulin
is one of the only hormones in the body that
actually sends a message to the body to carry on
storing weight and storing fat. So if you cut that
window down, like when I'm not doing the thirty six hours,
(01:55:36):
I have twenty hours without eating and then I eat
for four hours, and that four hours it's low carb,
quite high fat, quite very high protein, and so you
get a couple of insulin laughs, and a lot of
eighteen kilos in four months and feel amazing, feel fantastic.
There's so much energy. If I have a little bit
of carbohydrate, I feel really tired and lessargic. And as
(01:55:59):
my partner says, it's great because it saves money on
food as well. You don't need a zempic and all
these drags, terribles eats.
Speaker 3 (01:56:05):
So the thirty six hours always you eat nothing at all?
Is that right?
Speaker 4 (01:56:09):
Eat nothing at all? I have black coffee and I
have lots of water, but for that thirty six hours.
It sounds awful, and it sounded awful to me the
first time I did it. But after about twenty one hours,
you just don't feel hungry. And after thirty six hours
it's like my girlfriend will bring me and say have
you had anything to eat it I'm like, oh, actually,
I've been busy. I've forgotten about it. And you have
(01:56:32):
the sort of your mental charity is amazing. You feel great.
I had my blood pressure was up. I was even
pre diabetic. That's all gone now blood pressure is normal. Yeah,
it's just it's a wonderful thing to try a lot
of information from a lot of doctors.
Speaker 3 (01:56:47):
So thirty six hours it's fasting, and then what happens
after that thirty six hours.
Speaker 4 (01:56:52):
After thirty six hours, I'll eat something like bacon and
eggs or some high protein meal and yeah, and then
I'll eat for about four hours, and then I take
twenty hours off without eating and then eat for the
four hours after that. There's different fast you can do,
sixteen and eight, all those different splits, but the idea
is to not snack. And if you don't snack, it
(01:57:15):
keeps your insulin level lower and it doesn't go up,
and so you lose weight and it just falls off.
Speaker 3 (01:57:22):
And when you say when you say you eat for
four hours, does that mean do you eat the whole
four hours?
Speaker 7 (01:57:27):
No?
Speaker 4 (01:57:28):
No, I just have I'll have something. I'll generally have
some snacks at four hours, and then I'll have a
nice dinner. I'll have a nice piece of steak with
some vegetables and the salad and maybe an egg. And
I make a lovely a dessert with coconut cream, cocoa
and avocado, blend it all up and together a bit
of Stevia for sweetness, put it in the fridge. Beautiful.
Speaker 14 (01:57:51):
Is that the doctor?
Speaker 3 (01:57:53):
Is that the doctor Moseley that went missing walking? Is
he the guy that came up with intimate? Is this intimate?
And fasting? Is that what it's called?
Speaker 8 (01:58:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:58:00):
Sent about it fasting. But the other thing maas it
does that it gets rid of information in your body.
And my my girlfriend, she was getting arthritis and the
fingers and the fingers were all jamming up, and I
said to her, why do you try this? So she
now does it once every two weeks and her fingers,
the lumps have gone off her fingers. She's got movement
in her hands again, and it's an amazing thing. The
(01:58:23):
body is an incredible thing. How to fix that?
Speaker 2 (01:58:25):
Buy?
Speaker 4 (01:58:25):
I had a sore shoulder from an old injury. I
saw hip that's just gone now. It's because one of
the main things fasting does is gets rid of insolent, sorry,
gets rid of information.
Speaker 3 (01:58:38):
It's brilliant. Nice to hear from you, Jack, Thank you
for that. Twenty eight to twelve. I want to come through.
I wait one hundred and eighty today. Thanks for that, Jack, Marcus.
I've just been to christ You looking for work with
some friends. Of surprise, our cheap meals were compared to
Australia sorry Sydney and Sydney and finally moving back to
the family home of for a few years traveling around
whether it's terrible one month's rain around sixty five meals
(01:59:00):
to day far on for a high eight tonight. There
we go, Marcus. I'm afraid some of us have very
much over our Prime Minister for ever been shown putting
that loving arm around anyone who considers important. It's become
a tad yucky and slimy. I wonder if this is
one thing causing people to be put off them, because
(01:59:22):
it surely has me cheers from Mary. Remember that time
toil we walked on stage and he tried to hold
Nikola Willis's hand and she just thought, hang on, that's
not for me. It was a strange thing to do,
wasn't it. He's sort of sort of it's sort of
CEO management, that sort of hugging tappy type person. But yeah,
I think probably when people have I think it's fretty
(01:59:45):
hard to suddenly get a revive in the popularity stakes.
I think once people have seen someone that maybe they're
not for us that, you know, I think it's hard
to actually change people's mind about that. And then of
course the media just sets into it. They look for
things they've done wrong, like the forty four thousand dollars
pavlo over. It becomes self fulfilling. But you know, that's
(02:00:09):
the challenge for that party. They need to do work
out what they're going to do. I said, it's going
to get tricky for the next eight, nine, ten months.
But yeah, I don't know whereas advisors were with that
Pavlova why they didn't say, hey, that's going to come crazy.
That's the optics for that are terrible. If they're not
telling him or he's not listening, or they're telling him
(02:00:30):
things deliberately to make them look bad. So what happens
when you start second guessing stuff? Nigel, this is Marcus, Welcome, good.
Speaker 8 (02:00:39):
Evening, Marcus h this Pavolo and the two prime ministers
Thesie one of the news one which prime minist to
claim they invented that?
Speaker 6 (02:00:49):
Was it?
Speaker 8 (02:00:49):
Mister Albin Easy or mister Luckock?
Speaker 3 (02:00:52):
I don't know, but the guy was kind of captured
by For me, it's such a tiresome argument that one.
I think when you've got the two promises the two
countries got together, they can actually not revert to sort
of the world's most obvious thing. I was embarrassed to
do it.
Speaker 8 (02:01:06):
Who do you think convented the paper over New Zealand?
The New Zealand or Aunt.
Speaker 3 (02:01:11):
I wouldn't care. Doesn't worry me. I'm not sort of
face the fake patriot. I mean it probably would have been,
you know, there'd be some story that it might be
developed at the same time. But I've got no interest
in getting into a into a battle about it because
I think it. I think it demeans us as a
country that we're going to get sort of antsy about
things like that.
Speaker 8 (02:01:32):
You'd rather have an argument with the knowledge about rugby union?
Speaker 3 (02:01:36):
No, no, no, I don't I think any any rivalries
with Australia. I mean, we've got so much in common
with Australia, we probably really should be one country. Why
would you try when you're getting together to find something
to nitpick about. I don't get it.
Speaker 8 (02:01:52):
Do you want to lose the New Zealand dollar? Do
you want to have the Aussie dollar and be governed
from camera?
Speaker 14 (02:01:58):
Do you?
Speaker 4 (02:01:59):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (02:01:59):
I think this huge advantage. I mean, it doesn't really
worry me if we became part of Australia, because Australia's
have got separate states. Anyway, we become a secret separate state.
I'm sure our economy would be better.
Speaker 8 (02:02:12):
Maybe yeah, yeah, yeah, probably, Yeah it would be better. Yeah,
it would be better.
Speaker 3 (02:02:15):
But I don't think. I don't think people would be
agreed to it, because a lot of Kiwis have an
intense dislike for Australia because of these things about the
pavlover and crowded house and stuff they go on on
about which kind of drives me crazy.
Speaker 8 (02:02:29):
And the politicians and Wellington would like because they would
lose their jobs, wouldn't they? Parliament and Wellington would be
running from camera.
Speaker 3 (02:02:39):
There were I mean there are state parliaments in Melbourne
and right around Australia.
Speaker 8 (02:02:45):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, but that'd be they wouldn't
You wouldn't expect them to get paid as much our
politicians as well? Would you expect our state politicians to
be as paid as much as national politicians.
Speaker 3 (02:03:01):
I don't think it's ever going to happen. But if
you're going to spend forty four thousand dollars for a
non photo op with a Pavlova, it was pretty bizarre.
Speaker 8 (02:03:12):
And what mountain was it taken on?
Speaker 3 (02:03:14):
You know, I'm looking at the photo now.
Speaker 8 (02:03:19):
The remarkables, you know, I think it.
Speaker 3 (02:03:21):
Might have been up the head of the lake. They
might have gone to Mount Unslaw or something.
Speaker 2 (02:03:24):
I don't know.
Speaker 8 (02:03:26):
There's a plenty of snow around where they am.
Speaker 3 (02:03:29):
Have you seen the shots?
Speaker 12 (02:03:31):
No?
Speaker 8 (02:03:31):
I haven't seen it. No I haven't. It says that
Today's d T.
Speaker 3 (02:03:37):
Yes, it says, but it's just it happened about two
months ago. They've just got the film costings for it
from the Official Information Act.
Speaker 8 (02:03:44):
And as the photo and Wednesdays o DT you're looking at.
Speaker 3 (02:03:49):
Well I'm online, but yes, I think so.
Speaker 10 (02:03:52):
Right.
Speaker 8 (02:03:53):
Are you sure you're not looking at the New Zealand
Herald online?
Speaker 3 (02:03:56):
No, because under the od T.
Speaker 8 (02:03:59):
Yeah oh that's all right, Yeah, yeah, okay, then.
Speaker 3 (02:04:05):
Fidgets for twenty one away from twelve o'clock. Texts Marcus
love the show. I've just been to see Paul Kelly
and Wellington. Still got it driving on to Upper Hut traffic.
Great night night, Thank you. I have seen Paul Kelly
and Wellington of all places, so wow. Used to be
here all the time, late eighties. But that's great. What
a star. Marcus also tonight went to Kevy Bloody Wilson.
(02:04:27):
What a character. An old guy certainly knows how to
entertain the crowd YEP. Problem with fasting is two tummy
aches a day, one at the end of the day,
one when you start eating. Yes, luxeon, so sliming, try
so slimy, Try to be your b if if yuck.
He's so entitled and sorted. Read the airlines. I don't
(02:04:51):
know why they don't open the roots from Todonga to
the regions. You seem to have to always fly back
to Auckland into the regions after all, tod Longer has
the second largest population in the North Island. Now thought
Hamilton would be bigger than tot Long. Am I right
or wrong?
Speaker 17 (02:05:06):
There?
Speaker 3 (02:05:06):
What's bigger?
Speaker 14 (02:05:08):
You might be?
Speaker 9 (02:05:08):
Right?
Speaker 3 (02:05:09):
Would someone answer me that? Do some wikie in for me, Marcus,
Karla needs to know if you need to ject for
his car and get one from the Hillary Deiry in
Mount Albert. Thanks for that, cur to Marcus. Any plane
crashes lately? Mate? Was the heir India the last one? Also? Question,
has Air India ever done a New Zealand route? Don't
(02:05:32):
think they have, but we don't know the full report
for me or India yet. It seems to be the
pilot bought it down, doesn't it. Marcus? Who would be
a politician? Not me for sure. Poor mister Luxeon gets
criticized whatever he does. For me, who has never been polled.
I'm just pleased that he's managing the coalition teams very
(02:05:53):
smoothly so far.
Speaker 14 (02:05:56):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (02:05:59):
I think he's been unlucky to me be having his
time as PEERM at the same time as Trump is
in the White House. Love your program and your Pupkinson, Penny,
Thank you, Penny. Good again the vibes through on that.
There's some good spray of texts there. Eighteen from twelve.
You ought to be a part of it. Yeah, I
(02:06:23):
think there's probably now these days when you've when you're
a man and you're always got in getting your arms
around people. It does look strange, doesn't it. It's sort
of looked, Oh, it's like hang about a bit of
a chancer. Yeah, I don't think if Yeah, I don't
think it's something i'd do. If people come and ask
for photos, I don't think I'll put my arms around them.
Speaker 21 (02:06:43):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (02:06:44):
The other thing, you might have some commuting trouble tomorrow.
The Auckland. Oh it was for this evening, the Auckland
Harbor Bridge maker. Let it happened? Did it then? Did
it close? This evening? It didn't close. But it's windy
is all get out. So I imagine that's going to
continue because there's strong front's coming up the country. I'm
looking at the weather down south. It's bad for the
(02:07:05):
weather's been fantastic this year, but not good from now on.
So the equinox always happened, it's great until September and
then there's just rain after rain after rain this year
and no exception yeah, windy all day tomorrow and Friday
and Saturday and Sunday we'll go back to the Stags.
On Sunday, the Stags are playing Counties Monaco. I don't
(02:07:30):
know how many will turn up for that, but there
we go. That's happening on Sunday. It's gonna be a
big week in of sport because said we've got the
Worries and the All Blacks too, so it's excited about that.
Then we have a bit of a run around there
beach with the orienteering Sunday morning. It's gonna be quite.
I'll be probably be raining though, but that's always good,
makes it more exciting. I think there's a fundraiser and
(02:07:51):
soup which I'm excited for. Marcus, pumpkin soup. Thanks for
the inspiration after you're telling us about a month ago.
I made soup the next day with your suggestions of ingredients.
Beautiful kid. Couldn't belive the met clever. Never seen it
come out. Also, pump could have been sitting on the
floor for six weeks. I've had some problems with exploding pumpkins,
(02:08:12):
and I just one of that's because they've been too
close to the fire and they've got hot and cold inside,
might start stowing them in the garage if we had one. Hello, David, welcome.
Speaker 7 (02:08:24):
Yeah, here you go, Marcus. I'll tell you a story
about a guy from down this way. He was sort
of well knowing he was a justice of the peace,
and he had something to do with the local rugby
mascot and that sort of thing used to do about
the end thing, and he used to dress up as
the lady from Missus Brown's Boys.
Speaker 2 (02:08:43):
Yep.
Speaker 7 (02:08:45):
And one night I was at some fundraising ball or something,
and he seemed to do things that there's no way
he would have been able to get away with, you know,
if he was just dressed as a normal solf as
a man. But when he seemed to think that he
was in character of Missus Brown's Boys. Yeah, he took
(02:09:07):
his readvantage through a hug in the.
Speaker 14 (02:09:09):
Great that it would.
Speaker 6 (02:09:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:09:14):
Did someone call him on it?
Speaker 7 (02:09:16):
Oh, you could see. There was plenty of uncomfortable woman,
but I never saw anyone actually do it. But this
was just way out of line. And he all he
did was have a hilarious laugh and quote a bit
of Missus Brown, who was bad man.
Speaker 3 (02:09:33):
That does sound bad, and people be too embarrassed to
call you out about it, but they'll certainly tell other people,
won't they. They they are jeepest creepers. They feel uncomfortable
about it. Nice to hear from you, David, Thank you, Yeah, Marcus,
it was just into our dune. With enter the Albanez.
He would not be an issue and probably on the
cover of magazines, and most to are critical would be
(02:09:54):
praising here. Well, it would be on the cover of
magazines because they would have made the photos available. What's
on Luxe and does he flew to the top of
the mountain without the photographers so the Australian media got
no shots, so the story wasn't covered in Australia. So
you've got Albansi and Luxe and and Queenstown, which would
(02:10:16):
be a fantastic place to publicize the beauty and grandeur
of the place. We all know how beautiful it is
and get that all in the Australian papers. But didn't
happen because the press were rating at the airport and
he flew Albanesi away. To have been our conversation about
a Pavlova that cost forty four thousand dollars. It's just
(02:10:36):
bad policy. It's just bad judgment. So yeah, quite right.
I think probably ad In Albersi would have done something
quite different. So yeah, I do take your point, and
I think it makes Luxon look fantastic. But yeah, there
we go. Well, time will tell we won't get a
mess of great bounce back. People think, oh, well, that's
(02:10:56):
what we want. But I don't see how that's gonna
happen because it seems like once your popularity calls, it does,
but you never know. Economy might come right and people
will be cocker hope. Let's hope that happens six away
from twelve, if you want to talk here till midnight.
(02:11:18):
The other big story is that the woman called oh nah,
that was a big story while ago Senator just Center
Price as sacked. She's the Australian Just Center, not just Cinder.
She's been sacked by saying that Australias can put the
Labor government to putting all the Indians for votes, and
she didn't retract that comment and she's gone burger because
(02:11:38):
of it. Comment on migration, did they catch that guy
in the Victorian bush? No, Gosh knows where he's gone.
She didn't have much warning, so I don't quite know
where he's gone, but no, they seem to have no
clues for where he is. There's a million dollar reward, Maxine.
(02:12:02):
This is Marcus. Welcome, Oh to you.
Speaker 14 (02:12:06):
How are you? Yeah?
Speaker 12 (02:12:07):
Good?
Speaker 3 (02:12:07):
Makeing you're good? Yeah?
Speaker 13 (02:12:09):
Yeah, yeah, I lot of bluff tomorrow. Oh really, you
see your dear friend.
Speaker 3 (02:12:14):
Yeah yeah.

Fish and chips is on the menu.
Speaker 9 (02:12:17):
Oh, yes, So I don't know where to go?
Speaker 3 (02:12:21):
Well, there's three okay, okay, I can answer this quite clearly. Okay,
and I'm pleased. What time are you?
Speaker 10 (02:12:27):
There'll even thirty.
Speaker 3 (02:12:31):
There's four places, right, There's TJS, which is the fish
and chip shop closest towards the Bluff sign.
Speaker 15 (02:12:41):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (02:12:42):
There is Stellars, which is the takeaway that does Chinese
and European food, and there's the Fovo Dairy which does
fish and chips. I think to order after five. But
what Bluff has got has got a food cart called
called which is Bori's food cart on the left going through.
Speaker 13 (02:13:03):
And hey, and I think I want a passy because
she's a lovely lady. Oh okay, you can't leave the house,
so you know, I want like a nice piece of
or no cord or something.
Speaker 3 (02:13:18):
Appreciate you don't want to sum something from the food trug, Well,
you might have to go to the Yeah, I don't
know where the answer is. Well, there's Haile's Cafe at
the and they say, who's her Food's really good? That's
Haze at the Anchorage. But I think they'd be quite
I think they'd be quite pricey.
Speaker 15 (02:13:36):
Well, that's all right, she deserves it.
Speaker 3 (02:13:37):
Okay.
Speaker 13 (02:13:38):
The other thing I wanted to say, pumpkin soup. Have
you had pumpkin and orange together in a soup? Look
an orange?
Speaker 15 (02:13:49):
Good, bloody, lovely?
Speaker 13 (02:13:52):
Really really it's a great combination. Yes, yes, yes, yes,
brilliant combination.
Speaker 3 (02:14:01):
I'm looking at the recipe now, Scandinavian. Let me have
a look at it. A Nordic soup pumpkin, orange, ginger,
garlic chili. Would that be right?
Speaker 13 (02:14:11):
Well I never put ginger and you know, garlic in it,
but no, I did put garlic in it. Yeah, yeah,
and cinnamon mixed, yeah, mixed spicy herbs. Brilliant green the
stock Magie green herb was part of the stock involved.
Speaker 10 (02:14:32):
Yeah, brilliant soup.
Speaker 3 (02:14:34):
