Alex Jones, the founder of info Wars, created the business
model that seems to have taken over the media, a

It was a quiet Saturday in twenty twenty four, that
time when Americans enjoy a little weekend rn R, but
one Texan man was doing anything but resting. Alex Jones,
(02:42):
the alternative media pioneer that made a fortune off of
conspiracy theories, was having a meltdown. And why well, his company,
info Wars was on the verge of being shut down
by the FEDS.

I'm literally here like watching a family die, like thirty
years on air, twenty seven years is operation fifteen years
of this building and I'm literally when I know they're
gonna shout us down. Maybe it's tomorrow, the next day.
I just wanted to know I love you. I believe
in you. I believe he Maty, I believe in my grandparents.
I believe my parents. I believe in you, Maddy. I

just want to stop these people. They gotta be stopping.

Jones framed the eminent shutdown as an attack on free speech.
Speaker 8 (03:26):
This is the assault on your speech what you believe, but.

Others saw it as the consequence of his business model.
In December twenty twelve, a sick young man entered Sandy
Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut and gunned down twenty
six people, twenty of which were children between the ages
of six and seven. For years, Alex claimed the tragedy
was a giant hoax.

The whole thing was a giant hoax.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Some of his listeners even harassed the parents that lost
their children, claiming they were crisis actors. The attacks on
the Sandy Hook parents led to a defamation lawsuit where
Jones was ordered to pay over a billion dollars in damages.
Lacking the cash to pay up, the Feds were allegedly
moving in to shut down info Wars and liquidate the company.

The whole ordeal pushed Alex to his breaking point.

At the end of the day, We're gonna beat these people.
I'll try to be dramatic, hamans hard fight. These people
hate our children.

Some felt sorry for Alex in his telling the FEDS
were targeting him as the first domino to take down
all truth tellers and alternative media. But for anyone familiar
with his career, this wasn't the first time someone attacked
an innocent person based on the reporting of info Wars.
In fact, it wasn't the second or even the third time.

For three decades, Alex Jones had been injecting conspiracy theories
into the American blood stream, and on several occasions his
reporting was cited as the reason why listeners decided to
take action, actions that on multiple occasions, almost turned deadly.
The convergence of forces in America is giving rise to

conspiracy theorists like Alex Jones. First, there is a media
landscape with virtually no barriers to entry. Second, big tech
algorithms appear to be amplifying content regardless of its truth,
and third, trust in institutions is at an all time low. Together,
these conditions are creating enough pressure and chaos that some

are beginning to ask whether free speech can endure its
current form In places like the United Kingdom, many see
a possible future for American free speech.

In Russia, last year, four hundred people were arrested for
things that they said on social media. Four hundred people
in Russia. How many people do you think were arrested
in Britain for things they said on social media last year?
I have no idea three three hundred.

To understand why conspiracy theories are spreading and how they
are opposing a crisis for free speech in America, we
need to follow the story. Read life of Alex Jones,
a life where the truth is a hard thing to uncover.
Speaker 7 (06:09):
Alex Jones was born in nineteen seventy four in Dallas, Texas.
He grew up in a quaint suburb about twenty five
miles east of his birthplace, in a town called Rockwall.
His father was a dentist, his mother a homemaker. If
you know Rockwall, you know it's a quiet, normal place,
but it would play a leading role in the origin
story of a man who was anything but normal. Somewhere
(06:33):
around the age of twelve or thirteen, Alex says he
picked up a book from his father's library entitled Non
Dare Call It Conspiracy, published in nineteen seventy one. The
book was written by author Gary Allen. Alan's book presented
that there was a powerful elite group coordinating and covertly
working together to bring a new world order.

Now what I'm going to discuss with you tonight is
the planning behind what is actually a conspiracy to gain power,
political and economic power in this country and actually throughout
the world.
Speaker 7 (07:07):
Alan believed that powerful elites were embedded throughout the most
influential institutions in the world, scheming to control the lives
of the masses. In a way, he offered an excuse
to some for why they felt oppressed and could never
get ahead, and as a result, Alan attracted America's malcontent
those that felt like victims of the system. Alex Jones
(07:30):
would later describe the book as the easiest to read
primer on the new world Order, and it would help
lay the foundation for his future business model.

None Dare Call It Conspiracy? Gary Allen and Larry Abraham
the Quintessential Primer to Understand the New World Order, first
published What in nineteen seventy one, the book that really
crystallized my awakening to a great extent. You can't say
one thing woke me up or any of us sub
but it's a process generally.

Alex would go on to attend Rockwall High School. He
played varsity football as a lie, but around nineteen ninety,
during his sophomore year, something occurred that would change the
trajectory of his life. It's hard to pin down exactly
what happened. Like almost every critical moment in the life
(08:21):
of Alex Jones, there are conflicting stories. In one telling,
he was forced to move because he exposed corruption in
the rock Wall police force.
Speaker 6 (08:30):
I mean, I was, you know, fifteen years old, shooting
my mouth off in school that the police dealt the
drugs because I knew they did, because I happened to
grow up with kids in the neighborhood. His brothers were
drug dealers, you know kind of retail you know, the
housewives and stuff, cocaine, heroin, marijuana. You know, I was
never involved in. I just knew it. I mean, over
my friend's house to play baseball and his older brother

be there and I'd be like, what's that, sherif deputy, Oh,
he's dropping off some marijuana to my brother. Then I
had the police say we're gonna kill you if you
keep telling them, because I mean, they would bust kids
from marijuana. And I'm like, but you're a drug dealer.

I mean, you know.
Speaker 6 (09:03):
That's how I woke up.
Speaker 7 (09:04):
Then, as he tells the story, the anti drug program
Dare came to his high school and lectured the football
team about drug use. Alex says he stood up and
called them out for selling drugs to kids.

And I had them call me into the office and say,
you little son of a bitch. And I remember that
guy with his mustache looking at me and he goes,
he goes, how dare you say?
Speaker 4 (09:27):
We're dealing drugs?
Speaker 6 (09:27):
And I go, but you are, and he goes, listen
to me, and he grabbed by the back of the
hair and he slammed me down on the table and
he said, listen to me. They're going to take you
to prison, and a big black guy and he got
even more graphic. He's going to rape you in the ass.
You understand, you little effort.
Speaker 7 (09:43):
About a year later, Alex says he went to a
bonfire and the police showed up.
Speaker 6 (09:47):
I was sixteen. I've been death threaded by the police.
The local lawyer had been called and I've been death threaded.
The police had taken me to jail. They went to
a bonfire. Was that I had about two beers. They
were threatening everybody there and they were going, Jones, you
get out of here, and I said, you know, what's
your deal? Just leave us alone. He said up bolockly intoxicated,
You're going to jail. And in the car they said,
you know, we're going to hang in your celsion. Better
(10:08):
get out out of Rockwall. My dad heard all that
and he said, that's it, we're moving.
Speaker 7 (10:12):
Alex says that's when his family uprooted and moved to Austin,
But Rockwall locals have a different take. In their version,
Alex got in an argument with a friend named Jared
over a girl. In the scuffle, Alex picked Jared up,
turned him upside down so that his feet were in
the air and his head was between Alex's legs. Then
Alex fell to the floor in a wrestling move known
(10:35):
as a pile driver. According to Jared, he was immediately
knocked unconscious, and Alex proceeded to kick him in the head.
Jared claims he suffered a concussion and seven skull fractures.
He spent several days in the hospital and lost some
hearing in one ear. A few locals corroborated Jared's story,
(10:56):
including a high school coach. When asked about this version,
Alex said he was purely acting in self defense.
Speaker 6 (11:06):
On a two hundred and fifty pounds maybe a self
described redneck, and you weigh one hundred and sixty pounds,
starts attacking you, you defend yourself. So the way it
works in America is when someone physically attacks you and
you defend yourself, you're not the bad guy.
Speaker 4 (11:22):
He attacked me in the hall, so I defended myself.
Speaker 6 (11:28):
I've never talked about this stuff, and I'm not particularly
proud of it, but I always defended myself. I never
started fights.
Speaker 7 (11:33):
Then one night, a few of Jared's friends convinced Alex
to attend a party with them. When Alex arrived, Jared
says he began wailing on Alex. A friend of his
jumped in as well. Alex eventually escaped. His family moved
shortly after a former Info Wars cameraman would later claim
that this was the event that turned Alex Jones into

a conspiracy theorist. A cabal with a secret plan conspired
to attack him. It was his first personal experience being
a victim of a conspiracy. The theory sounds plausible, but
Alex's Rockwell classmates say that he was always peddling conspiracy theories.

It's far more likely that Jones was introduced to the
genre from a book in his own household, and then
through weaving together his own stories, he learned about their
persuasive power. This kind of gets to the crux of
how hard it is to tell Alex's story. What we've
learned through our research is that his entire biography is
filled with a torrent of contradictions, exaggerations, and outright lies
(12:41):
that all peppered with tiny slippers of truth. Since we've
been producing Red Pilled America, we've done a lot of
biographies on media figures, but in researching Alex Jones, we've
never come across someone that has unpublished so much of
their own work. It was a challenge just to find

some of the claims reporters say he's made. Because Alex
has removed so much of his work due to falsehoods, corrections,
or threats of lawsuits. And then there are the deplatformings
where social media sites have terminated his accounts. So this
is all to say that getting to the truth of
why his family left rock Wall for Austin, or really
(13:27):
getting to the bottom of anything that includes Jones as
a source, is very hard. But we do know that
sometime during his sophomore year, Alex Jones left rock Wall
for Austin, and he'd already gained a penchant for conspiracy theories.
After graduating high school in nineteen ninety three, he attended
Austin Community College, but it wouldn't last long because Alex
(13:48):
found something that would become his obsession. He discovered Austin's
Community Access cable station. Soon he found himself subbing for
sick hosts, mixing activism and Muckrake style journalism with conspiracy theories.
It wasn't long until Jones landed his own show on
local radio station KJFK. To promote it, heatstorm city council
(14:11):
meetings and berate local.
Speaker 13 (14:13):
Officials, Ali Philippus, they at tipped to bride and I
having on tate, I'll rear at the twenty fifth time
to night at around nine thirty on Cable Channel ten.
This is not a conspiracy, and I challenge you to
tune in and see the unedited twenty minutes of a
police chief warning the public another conspiracy.

He pushed the conspiracy theory that the federal government bombed
the World Trade Center in nineteen ninety three, a claim
he'd make throughout his career.
Speaker 6 (14:38):
The government took the bomb, training, the drivers, gave him
the debt endors let him do it. World Trade Center
Attack nineteen ninety three.
Speaker 7 (14:43):
He pushed the conspiracy theory that the nineteen ninety five
federal building bombing in Oklahoma City was also done by
the federal government.
Speaker 6 (14:51):
They're totally brainwashing this country in the submission in the
name of ending terrorism when the federal government blew up
the Oklahoma City building, Conspiracy.
Speaker 7 (14:58):
Theories became his bread and butter in the world of
Alex Jones. I'm a every major tragedy was a government
orchestrated operation used to impose tyranny. But a fringe element
deeply believed these debunked conspiracy theories, and Alex Jones was
becoming a folk hero amongst them. His radio audience was growing,

but when new owners bought the radio station, they claimed
his inside terror job stuff became too much for them
and they fired him. Jones must have known it was coming,
because in early nineteen ninety nine he purchased a website
named InfoWars dot com, his tagline.

InfoWars dot com there is a war on for your mind.
Speaker 7 (15:39):
He installed a high capacity ISDN line at his home,
allowing him to broadcast to ten stations across the country,
and just like that, Jones became an alternative media pioneer.
He positioned info Wars and its audience as the resistance
to the New World Order. Conspiracy theories became his stock
in trade, but it was one particular conspiracy with origins

in northern California. It would first reveal the hazards of
this business model.

where every year at this time the elite from around
the country get together for two and a half weeks

Found it in eighteen seventy two, The Bohemian Club was
created by a group of journalists, musicians, and artists seeking
a space for creative and intellectual exchange. Originally intended as
a bohemian, low income haven for artists, it eventually expanded
to some of the wealthiest, most influential figures in America.

President Stwight Eisenhower, Gerald Ford, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and
George Bush Senior and Junior were all members.

Herbert Hoover called it the world's greatest men's party, and
there is a list of powerful people waiting to get
in on it.

Movie stars like Clint Eastwood, business tycoons like Charles Schwab,
and American media moguls like Malcolm Forbes, owner of Forbes magazine.
All peppered the membership list. Starting in eighteen seventy eight,
members met once a year at a campsite owned by
the group in northern California known as the Bohemian Grove.

The Grove is the Bohemian Club's summer retreat and at
facilities are hidden beneath lush forest canopy extending south from
the banks of Sonoma County's Russian Ripe. For more than
a century, the camp has been a place where club
members and guests from all across America gather to relax.
Membership in the Grove is by invitation only and is
determined by such factors as social standing, occupation, and personal connections.

Like most members only clubs, the group was secretive.

Privacy is one of the Grove's most cherished virtues. Members
may not photograph, record, speak, or write about activities at
the retreat.

But since it was Republican leaning, the Bohemian Club was
a big target for the liberal media. By the late
nineteen eighties, investigative journalists had thoroughly infiltrated the annual event
and reported what they'd witnessed well.

I think it's a playground for the powerful. It's a
place where wealthy men from all of the United States
gather for two weeks to remove summer camp with this
ceremony called the Cremation of Care that begins the two
week encampment, where the body of dull Care, symbolizing woes
and concerns, is burned on an alder in front of
a big owl statue. When that ceremony ends, they all

start to cheer and yell and hand each other a beer.

As one investigative journalist wrote, the annual event was a
largely insular, somewhat absurd frat party for elites, but conspiracy
theorists like English writer David Ike believe there is something
far more nefarious occurring.

Now here's another picture from Bohemian Grove. During this summer
camp is a ritual in which the elite of the
world they dress up in long gowns with hoods on.
Now what we got here a forty foot stone owl.
Go Back in the ancient world, they used to sacrifice

children to a deity called Moloch or Mollek. Today, these
elite names are still doing ritual sacrifices of children.

Alex Jones picked up on this growing online conspiracy theory
and decided to dig into it.

A little over two thousand people travel there to engage
in bizarre ancient Canaanite, Luciferian, babylon mystery religion ceremonies. At
least that was the rumors. Why are a world leaders
traveling in the middle of nowhere to worship this thing? Well,
I have to check it out for myself.

Jones, his small crew and a British documentary team led
by author and journalist John Ronson met at a hotel
in a small town adjacent to the Bohemian Grove, where
they put together a plan to infiltrate the annual event.
That's my redcoat friends, how you guys, we're late, Alex
reve youed a map of the camp site, figuring out
the best approach.

Here's the shrine of their devil owl, which they even
admit has its roots and like Babylon and the Druids
at them and everything else. So all over the world,
this weird owl shows up some cultors. They've thrown children
inside this, inside the bowels of this burning owl. That's historical.
We've all read the Bible about throwing your children to idols.
Soia's weird behavior definitely, So it needs to be investigated.

Connected with a lawyer named Rick who successfully infiltrated the
grove on several occasions. He said the best way to
enter was to just walk in, pretending like you own
the place.

There are going to be one or two guys sitting
by the side of this road in a camp chair,
looking bored and uninterested, and you're just going to say
just nod to them as you walk in.

For a group that was supposedly burning human sacrifices, security
appeared to be pretty lax. To try and fit in
with the audience, Alex and his team went down to
Eddie Bauer and bought some khakis, cashmere sweaters, and polo shirts.
Then to sound the part, Jones paced the motel balcony practicing,
talking preppy.

But seriously, David's as fast as microprocesses are starting to move,
it's getting down to a molecular level. The question is
at what level will just the actual six of science
stop us from making these the systems smaller.

And it's the entire nanotechnology revolution that I found me
most dynamic.

Before his invasion, Alex and the team decided to surveil
the road leading to the Bohemian Grove.

Well, here we are, folks turning on to the Bohemian
Highway and Bohemian Grove. We're going to find out what
in the New World orders going on here.

Alex decided that he was going to infiltrate the campsite
early in the day in case he got kicked out.

When the moment arrived, their infiltration plan worked. Outfitted in
country club attire, they were able to stroll past the
checkpoints with their camera hidden in a small bag. Alex
captured greeny video of the campgrounds and cremation of care ceremony.

Here's a side shot from about thirty yards away of Mullick,
the Canaanite deity to which children were sacrificed too in Babel,
again the three thousand plus year old Molick.

He was able to acquire an event program and Alex
wove a wild theory divorced from the reality of the
images on the fire.

Now even more shocking is the figure of a human
body burning in the flames. In fact, I've shown it
to people that are experts in anatomy to actual doctors,
and they say that the anatomical size is that of
a baby or small child.

Jones offered no source for this anatomical analysis.

This is from the program itself given out to the
establishment lackeys witnessing the sinister activities. Remember in Babylon entire
they would throw their children into fiery pits. Look at
the size of the hands compared to the rest of
the body. Only children show these anatomical details. As we

sat there in the darkness, not knowing what we were
about to say, in the gathering crowd, suddenly across the
small lake we saw a carriage with men in black
and brown cloaks robes in front and and back, bearing
a bound body. Something particularly pleasing was happening for the
bohemian grovers with whatever developed with that crowd of men

in black and brown and the bound body on the
back of the buggy. They drove behind big black tarts
they had hanging out of the trees. There was lots
of smacking on lips of in bizarre enjoyment by the crowd.
We still haven't made out exactly what was going on,
but that a real sacrifice may have actually been developing
according to some occult experts.

The entire ceremony looked more like a stage play than
an actual child sacrifice ritual, which Jones admitted when speaking
to the British documentary team.

his audience, Jones pushed the darkest interpretation of the events.

There you see the funeral pyre burning with the effigy
of a human, or it could be real. Ladies and gentlemen,
These people are deadly serious. Those taking part in the
ceremony also notice the screams of pain coming from the sacrifice.
This is just unbelievably macabre and evil.

What Alex Jones was describing was a Satanic ritual, the
burning of a live human sacrifice, potentially even a child
that was screaming. He claimed to have found something that
not even liberal investigative reporters witnessed in their infiltration of
the elite event. Now, if they were actually burning someone alive,
you'd think that they would have had real security at
(27:40):
the entry. Immediately after the event, You'd imagine Alex Jones
rushing the footage to local police before all of the
evidence could be destroyed. I mean, this would have been
the biggest story of the century. A secret right wing
group whose membership boasted presidents of the United States and
leaders of industry burning a live human being, perhaps even
(28:00):
a baby. Surely Jones would have turned them into the authorities.
Arrests would have been made, and if the cops ignored
his evidence, the brave truth teller would have had a
massive cover up on his hands. That would have proved
his entire thesis that elites secretly collude to run the world.
But nowhere in the Bohemian Grove documentary does he show
that he contacted law enforcement. There was no scene of

him providing evidence to the police. Alex would later give
his perspective on what was happening at the annual event.

Well, one thing is perfectly certain from the evidence. They
are forced to go and attend and take part in
these activities if they wish to be elevated to the
highest levels of the geopolitical power structure.

But John Ronson, the British journalist that accompanied Alex, at
a completely different take. Ronson came to the conclusion that
it was just a bunch of old men reliving their
college fraternity days.

What happened with me and Alex said, we both witnesses
alburning seminary, and I realized that it was a silly,
grown up frat pro long sense. But Alex, of course
had his own spin on it, which was that it
was human sacrifice. Maybe that's a real person. So I

kind of moderate spin. Then it's not that crazy, it's understandable,

and Alex went back to his people with his own
incredibly crazy spin. You know, Alex is an intelligent man,
and I remember at the time sent to Alex, you know,
you know that what you're saying about bohemian growth isn't true.
You know, you're playing with fire here, and Alex said, yeah,
I'm not going to tell my listeners that.

Alex Jones put out a documentary on his investigation entitled
Dark Secrets Inside the Bohemian Grove. He suggested that the
elites were possibly burning children at the Altar of Moloch.
It was an incredible fabrication designed for maximum shock value.
There's nothing that animates people more, especially well meaning Christians,
than harming children. He promoted the documentary heavily on his

radio and public access shows.

from the streets and using them as child sacrifices, all
to produce compromising material so that the elites could be

controlled by Ain't even higher echelon of unseen puppeteers.

Was there for five hours of the two week Summer
Fire festival.

And as he wove together this conspiracy theory, he invited
callers onto the show. That helped provide credibility to his story.

I've read quite a few books about cult survivors. One
book that I read, one of the victims asked the
cult leader how he got children babies for the cult sacrifices,
and he said, it's really easy. All I do is
I put an ad in the local paper saying loving
Christian couple wanting to adopt without going through the adoption.

Process the FBI. I can tell you how many black
people were killed in Austin, Texas last year by butcher knives.
How many burglaries there were reported last year nationwide or
down to a city or county level. They do not
keep numbers on missing children. The actual numbers are around
three hundred thousand a year. Now, let's say half of
those are runaways to come back home. You're talking about

hundreds of thousands. They kidnapped little girls off their doorsteps.
Should think him to heroin. They get a few years
at them, and they blow the match their heads off
and throw them into the ocean.

Then Alex said something that would eventually become his persuasion
kills shot. He invited his audience to investigate it for themselves.

And at his website he offered a carefully curated selection
of research materials for twenty five dollars and ninety five
cents a pop. He sold VHS copies of his Bohemian
Grove documentary. Here was a guy that was on the
radio and on public access television. He had a website
selling his documentary. Unheard of at the time. He was
calling out the Bushes by name, saying that they were
(32:48):
devil warshippers and claimed to have the tape to prove it.
And this was all happening when trust in the media
began to erode. The country had just experienced a long
impeachment of Bill Clinton for an affair with a White
House intern at the mainstream media had known about and
covered up for years. Alex was providing an alternative to
the mainstream media.

Go to alternative media, start valuing information. You get excited
about sports, I get excited about freedom or on a crisis.

It all looks so official, and if child sacrifices were
truly happy, clearly that was something worth dying for. Well,
one man eventually saw Jones's Bohemian Grove documentary and he
believed it was the cause he was preparing for for
his entire life.

tale of elites participating in devil worship ceremonies and suggested
that they were sacrificing children. He told his audience that
it was all true and to investigate it themselves. He
streamed his Bohemian Grove documentary on his website, played clips
on his shows, and sold VHS copies at InfoWars dot com.
It all looked so official, and if child sacrifices were

actually happening, clearly that was something worth dying for.

One man eventually saw his Bohemian Grove documentary and he
believed it was the cause that he'd been preparing for
his entire life. His name was Richard McCaslin. Since he
was a child, Richard had been obsessed with superheroes. By
the time he was seven, he was designing his own
superhero personas. Explosion Man, super Robot, nitro Man, Bobcat, Marvelite,
(35:52):
Fury Catboy, Patriot were a few of his creations. Growing
up in a devoutly Christian home, his parents tried to
steer him towards less violent Christian comics, but Richard was
drawn to the more traditional superhero fair He convinced his
mother to craft a Batman costume, then Shazam. As he
got older, he began designing his own outfits. He was
(36:14):
an odd cookie. After he graduated high school, Richard followed
in the footsteps of one of his superhero idols, Captain America.
He enlisted in the Marines for a three year stint,
hoping to get the training he needed to become a
real life superhero. After he was honorably discharged, he entered
(36:34):
a stunt training course, then returned to crafting his own
superhero outfits, a total of fifty four costumes by his
own estimation. He landed a gig at six Flags Amusement
Park as Batman, but then tragedy struck. Both of his
(36:56):
parents died, and as an only child, he was now
alone in the world and looking for a purpose. By
the early two thousands, he moved to Austin, Texas, and
that's when he was introduced to Alex Jones's documentary Dark
Secrets Inside Bohemian Grove.

Here's the shrine of their devil owl. Some cultors they've
thrown children inside this, inside the bowels of this burning owl.
Sia's weird behavior. Definitely, so it needs to be investigated.

Richard couldn't believe what he was hearing, elites sacrificing children
in Satanic style of rituals. He said it changed his
life forever. Something had to be done. An idea began
to formulate in his mind. He would raid the Bohemian
Grove and save the children, He decided he needed to

do some recon on the site. In a letter highlighted
in the book American Madness, Richard later wrote.

I got most of my directions from the Alex Jones
video at the end of Jones' Dark Secrets documentary, he
gives instructions on how to drive to the Bohemian Grove.

Richard packed up his car and left Austin for northern California.
He arrived at the Bohemian Grove in July two thousand,
the same time the annual Cremation of Care event takes place.
He stepped out of his car carrying a Glock forty
five pistol. He saw people coming and going, but no
one famous. He quickly realized the mission would be too risky.

Even if I did get in, then what I wasn't
sure if the sacrifice victim for the cremation of care
was a real baby or not. Even if it was,
what should I do? Rush in with guns blazing and
rescue the baby. This was real life, not a comic book.
Sure I could have killed a few Satanic pedophiles, but
the odds of me getting out of there alive with
a baby in tow or slimm to none.

He reluctantly packed it up and drove back to Texas.

At that time, I wasn't quite ready to get arrested,
let alone die.

For the cause, He'd later confess.

September eleventh changed all that.

This justin You were looking at obviously a very disturbing
live shot there. That is the World Trade Center, And
we have unconfirmed reports this morning that a plane has
crashed into one of the towers of the World Trade Center.

Many conspiracy minded people like Richard instantly believed the nine
to eleven attacks on the World Trade Center were an
inside job. They became known as Truthers, and Alex Jones
quickly became their hero. That's because on July twenty fifth,
about six weeks before the attacks, Alex took to the
airwaves and delivered a rent that would make him a
legend among the truthers.

Hello, ladies and gentlemen, I'm so glad that you could
join us today for this Wednesday, July twenty fifth, two
thousand and one broadcast. Tyranny is enveloping the globe and
the United States is shining jewel. The globalists want to
bring down and they will use terrorism as the pretext
to get it done.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
Alex claimed that he was concerned that Americans were being
primed for a terrorist attack that the US government was
about to commit on American soil.
Speaker 6 (39:59):
The point is, if any terrorism comes, it's from this government.
And if there was that's an outside threat like a
beIN laden, He's the boogeyman they need in this Sorwellian
phony system. I want the White House numbers up there now.
Call the White House and tell them we know the
government's planning terrorism. We know Oklahoma City and World Trade
Center was terrorism. We know the joint He's of staff
wanted to blow up airliners Baltimore Sun. If you do it,

we're gonna blame you because we know who's up to it.
Or if you let some terrorist group drew it like
the World Trade Center, we know who to blame, and
you could save the planet. I'm calling an operation expose
the Government terror.

When the nine to eleven attack hit, Alex Jones went
on the air that day claiming he predicted the attack.

So I know we're carried by a lot of stations
that don't normally carry the show because they know that
I have been predicting this for years. If you go

The nine to eleven Commission would later publish its final
report concluding that miscommunication between intelligence groups left the US
vulnerable to an attack by Al Qaeda. But from day one,
Ruthers were never going to believe that conclusion, and Alex
Jones would help make sure of that. He would strip
his so called prediction of context and deceptively edited his
(41:12):
rant in a way that made him look like a prophet.
But that's a story for later in this series. Many
new Truthers believed it was time to take direct action,
including Richard McCaslin.
Speaker 7 (41:28):
He prepared for a few months. He accumulated weapons, brushed
up on his skills, taking a pistol course than combat training.
He set a target date of January two thousand and two,
and in the months leading up to his raid, he
decided he'd move to Carson City, Nevada, to be closer
to the Bohemian Grove. Before leaving Austin, he ventured to
(41:49):
the studio of Alex Jones and met the broadcaster looking
for validation.
Speaker 2 (41:53):
I felt I should meet this guy before I went
to the grove. We discussed the grove in general, but
I didn't say anything about going there.
Speaker 7 (42:03):
Richard was careful to hide his mission to avoid implicating
the Info War's host. He moved to Carson City, Nevada,
periodically staking out the grove. Then, on January nineteenth, two
thousand and two, he put his plan into motion. Richard
(42:24):
McCaslin put on a bulletproof vest, blue army fatigues, a
rubber skeleton mask, and with red ink, he painted two
words across his chest Phantom Patriot. He loaded into his
car a double barreled shotgun, a forty five caliber pistol,
a crossbow, a knife, a handmade bomb launcher, and a
two foot long sword. He drove to the Bohemian Grove area,
(42:53):
crept through the tall redwood forest. With his weapons in tow,
he began hunting for the secret chamber used to torture
children before they were sacrificed on the altar of the
giant Moloch inspired owl. As Richard made his way into
the darkness, he expected an armed resistance, but as he
(43:19):
traced through the woods, his flashlight went out. The marine
trained commando in a Phantom Patriot superhero costume was completely lost.
He eventually stumbled his way into a cabin, found a cot,
and passed out for the night. When he woke the
next morning in the light of day, he found the
enormous owl statue. He placed an old Testament verse at
(43:42):
its base. Then, with no enslaved children to save or
resistance for us to fight, Richard decided to do the
next best thing. He set a building on fire, but
as the flames rose, the structure's automatic sprinklers kicked in,
immediately extinguishing the fire. It wasn't long until county deputies
intercepted him. Realizing he was faced off with real law
(44:04):
enforcement officers, phantom Patriot put his hands up and quietly surrendered.
When asked why he invaded Bohemian Grove, Richard told law
enforcement he was inspired by talk show host Alex Jones.
He'd eventually be sentenced to almost twelve years in prison.
Alex Jones would later suggest that Richard was just another
government operation.

The Bohemian Grove attack could have been chalked up as
a fluke one crazy Alex Jones audience member decides to
take the law into his own hands and save the children.

and some began to question who is really to blame here,

Alex Jones, the founder of info Wars, created the business
model that seems to have taken over the media, a

time when Americans enjoy a little weekend rn R, but
one Texan man was doing anything but resting. Alex Jones,

the alternative media pioneer that made a fortune off of
conspiracy theories, was having a meltdown. And why well, his company,
info Wars was on the verge of being shut down
by the FEDS.

I'm literally here like watching a family die, like thirty
years on air, twenty seven years is operation fifteen years
of this building and I'm literally when I know they're
gonna shout us down. Maybe it's tomorrow, the next day.
I just wanted to know I love you. I believe
in you. I believe he Maty, I believe in my grandparents.
I believe my parents. I believe in you, Maddy. I

just want to stop these people. They gotta be stopping.

Jones framed the eminent shutdown as an attack on free speech.
Speaker 8 (03:26):
This is the assault on your speech what you believe, but.

Others saw it as the consequence of his business model.
In December twenty twelve, a sick young man entered Sandy
Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut and gunned down twenty
six people, twenty of which were children between the ages
of six and seven. For years, Alex claimed the tragedy
was a giant hoax.

The whole thing was a giant hoax.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Some of his listeners even harassed the parents that lost
their children, claiming they were crisis actors. The attacks on
the Sandy Hook parents led to a defamation lawsuit where
Jones was ordered to pay over a billion dollars in damages.
Lacking the cash to pay up, the Feds were allegedly
moving in to shut down info Wars and liquidate the company.

The whole ordeal pushed Alex to his breaking point.

At the end of the day, We're gonna beat these people.
I'll try to be dramatic, hamans hard fight. These people
hate our children.

Some felt sorry for Alex in his telling the FEDS
were targeting him as the first domino to take down
all truth tellers and alternative media. But for anyone familiar
with his career, this wasn't the first time someone attacked
an innocent person based on the reporting of info Wars.
In fact, it wasn't the second or even the third time.

For three decades, Alex Jones had been injecting conspiracy theories
into the American blood stream, and on several occasions his
reporting was cited as the reason why listeners decided to
take action, actions that on multiple occasions, almost turned deadly.
The convergence of forces in America is giving rise to

conspiracy theorists like Alex Jones. First, there is a media
landscape with virtually no barriers to entry. Second, big tech
algorithms appear to be amplifying content regardless of its truth,
and third, trust in institutions is at an all time low. Together,
these conditions are creating enough pressure and chaos that some

are beginning to ask whether free speech can endure its
current form In places like the United Kingdom, many see
a possible future for American free speech.

In Russia, last year, four hundred people were arrested for
things that they said on social media. Four hundred people
in Russia. How many people do you think were arrested
in Britain for things they said on social media last year?
I have no idea three three hundred.

To understand why conspiracy theories are spreading and how they
are opposing a crisis for free speech in America, we
need to follow the story. Read life of Alex Jones,
a life where the truth is a hard thing to uncover.

Alex Jones was born in nineteen seventy four in Dallas, Texas.
He grew up in a quaint suburb about twenty five
miles east of his birthplace, in a town called Rockwall.
His father was a dentist, his mother a homemaker. If
you know Rockwall, you know it's a quiet, normal place,
but it would play a leading role in the origin
story of a man who was anything but normal. Somewhere
(06:33):
around the age of twelve or thirteen, Alex says he
picked up a book from his father's library entitled Non
Dare Call It Conspiracy, published in nineteen seventy one. The
book was written by author Gary Allen. Alan's book presented
that there was a powerful elite group coordinating and covertly
working together to bring a new world order.

Now what I'm going to discuss with you tonight is
the planning behind what is actually a conspiracy to gain power,
political and economic power in this country and actually throughout
the world.
Speaker 7 (07:07):
Alan believed that powerful elites were embedded throughout the most
influential institutions in the world, scheming to control the lives
of the masses. In a way, he offered an excuse
to some for why they felt oppressed and could never
get ahead, and as a result, Alan attracted America's malcontent
those that felt like victims of the system. Alex Jones
(07:30):
would later describe the book as the easiest to read
primer on the new world Order, and it would help
lay the foundation for his future business model.

the Quintessential Primer to Understand the New World Order, first
published What in nineteen seventy one, the book that really
crystallized my awakening to a great extent. You can't say
one thing woke me up or any of us sub

Alex would go on to attend Rockwall High School. He
played varsity football as a lie, but around nineteen ninety,
during his sophomore year, something occurred that would change the
trajectory of his life. It's hard to pin down exactly
what happened. Like almost every critical moment in the life

of Alex Jones, there are conflicting stories. In one telling,
he was forced to move because he exposed corruption in
the rock Wall police force.

I mean, I was, you know, fifteen years old, shooting
my mouth off in school that the police dealt the
drugs because I knew they did, because I happened to
grow up with kids in the neighborhood. His brothers were
drug dealers, you know kind of retail you know, the
housewives and stuff, cocaine, heroin, marijuana. You know, I was
never involved in. I just knew it. I mean, over
my friend's house to play baseball and his older brother

be there and I'd be like, what's that, sherif deputy, Oh,
he's dropping off some marijuana to my brother. Then I
had the police say we're gonna kill you if you
keep telling them, because I mean, they would bust kids
from marijuana. And I'm like, but you're a drug dealer.

I mean, you know.

That's how I woke up.
Speaker 7 (09:04):
Then, as he tells the story, the anti drug program
Dare came to his high school and lectured the football
team about drug use. Alex says he stood up and
called them out for selling drugs to kids.
Speaker 6 (09:17):
And I had them call me into the office and say,
you little son of a bitch. And I remember that
guy with his mustache looking at me and he goes,
he goes, how dare you say?
Speaker 4 (09:27):
We're dealing drugs?
Speaker 6 (09:27):
And I go, but you are, and he goes, listen
to me, and he grabbed by the back of the
hair and he slammed me down on the table and
he said, listen to me. They're going to take you
to prison, and a big black guy and he got
even more graphic. He's going to rape you in the ass.
You understand, you little effort.

About a year later, Alex says he went to a
bonfire and the police showed up.

I was sixteen. I've been death threaded by the police.
The local lawyer had been called and I've been death threaded.
The police had taken me to jail. They went to
a bonfire. Was that I had about two beers. They
were threatening everybody there and they were going, Jones, you
get out of here, and I said, you know, what's
your deal? Just leave us alone. He said up bolockly intoxicated,
You're going to jail. And in the car they said,
you know, we're going to hang in your celsion. Better

get out out of Rockwall. My dad heard all that
and he said, that's it, we're moving.

Alex says that's when his family uprooted and moved to Austin,
But Rockwall locals have a different take. In their version,
Alex got in an argument with a friend named Jared
over a girl. In the scuffle, Alex picked Jared up,
turned him upside down so that his feet were in
the air and his head was between Alex's legs. Then
Alex fell to the floor in a wrestling move known
(10:35):
as a pile driver. According to Jared, he was immediately
knocked unconscious, and Alex proceeded to kick him in the head.
Jared claims he suffered a concussion and seven skull fractures.
He spent several days in the hospital and lost some
hearing in one ear. A few locals corroborated Jared's story,
(10:56):
including a high school coach. When asked about this version,
Alex said he was purely acting in self defense.

On a two hundred and fifty pounds maybe a self
described redneck, and you weigh one hundred and sixty pounds,
starts attacking you, you defend yourself. So the way it
works in America is when someone physically attacks you and
you defend yourself, you're not the bad guy.

He attacked me in the hall, so I defended myself.

I've never talked about this stuff, and I'm not particularly
proud of it, but I always defended myself. I never
started fights.

Then one night, a few of Jared's friends convinced Alex
to attend a party with them. When Alex arrived, Jared
says he began wailing on Alex. A friend of his
jumped in as well. Alex eventually escaped. His family moved
shortly after a former Info Wars cameraman would later claim
that this was the event that turned Alex Jones into
(11:55):
a conspiracy theorist. A cabal with a secret plan conspired
to attack him. It was his first personal experience being
a victim of a conspiracy. The theory sounds plausible, but
Alex's Rockwell classmates say that he was always peddling conspiracy theories.

It's far more likely that Jones was introduced to the
genre from a book in his own household, and then
through weaving together his own stories, he learned about their
persuasive power. This kind of gets to the crux of
how hard it is to tell Alex's story. What we've
learned through our research is that his entire biography is
filled with a torrent of contradictions, exaggerations, and outright lies
(12:41):
that all peppered with tiny slippers of truth. Since we've
been producing Red Pilled America, we've done a lot of
biographies on media figures, but in researching Alex Jones, we've
never come across someone that has unpublished so much of
their own work. It was a challenge just to find
(13:06):
some of the claims reporters say he's made. Because Alex
has removed so much of his work due to falsehoods, corrections,
or threats of lawsuits. And then there are the deplatformings
where social media sites have terminated his accounts. So this
is all to say that getting to the truth of
why his family left rock Wall for Austin, or really
(13:27):
getting to the bottom of anything that includes Jones as
a source, is very hard. But we do know that
sometime during his sophomore year, Alex Jones left rock Wall
for Austin, and he'd already gained a penchant for conspiracy theories.
After graduating high school in nineteen ninety three, he attended
Austin Community College, but it wouldn't last long because Alex
(13:48):
found something that would become his obsession. He discovered Austin's
Community Access cable station. Soon he found himself subbing for
sick hosts, mixing activism and Muckrake style journalism with conspiracy theories.
It wasn't long until Jones landed his own show on
local radio station KJFK. To promote it, heatstorm city council
(14:11):
meetings and berate local.

Officials, Ali Philippus, they at tipped to bride and I
having on tate, I'll rear at the twenty fifth time
to night at around nine thirty on Cable Channel ten.
This is not a conspiracy, and I challenge you to
tune in and see the unedited twenty minutes of a
police chief warning the public another conspiracy.

He pushed the conspiracy theory that the federal government bombed
the World Trade Center in nineteen ninety three, a claim
he'd make throughout his career.

The government took the bomb, training, the drivers, gave him
the debt endors let him do it. World Trade Center
Attack nineteen ninety three.
Speaker 7 (14:43):
He pushed the conspiracy theory that the nineteen ninety five
federal building bombing in Oklahoma City was also done by
the federal government.

They're totally brainwashing this country in the submission in the
name of ending terrorism when the federal government blew up
the Oklahoma City building, Conspiracy.

Theories became his bread and butter in the world of
Alex Jones. I'm a every major tragedy was a government
orchestrated operation used to impose tyranny. But a fringe element
deeply believed these debunked conspiracy theories, and Alex Jones was
becoming a folk hero amongst them. His radio audience was growing,

but when new owners bought the radio station, they claimed
his inside terror job stuff became too much for them
and they fired him. Jones must have known it was coming,
because in early nineteen ninety nine he purchased a website
named InfoWars dot com, his tagline.

InfoWars dot com there is a war on for your mind.

He installed a high capacity ISDN line at his home,
allowing him to broadcast to ten stations across the country,
and just like that, Jones became an alternative media pioneer.
He positioned info Wars and its audience as the resistance
to the New World Order. Conspiracy theories became his stock
in trade, but it was one particular conspiracy with origins

in northern California. It would first reveal the hazards of
this business model.

All peppered the membership list. Starting in eighteen seventy eight,
members met once a year at a campsite owned by
the group in northern California known as the Bohemian Grove.

The Grove is the Bohemian Club's summer retreat and at
facilities are hidden beneath lush forest canopy extending south from
the banks of Sonoma County's Russian Ripe. For more than
a century, the camp has been a place where club
members and guests from all across America gather to relax.
Membership in the Grove is by invitation only and is
determined by such factors as social standing, occupation, and personal connections.

Like most members only clubs, the group was secretive.

Privacy is one of the Grove's most cherished virtues. Members
may not photograph, record, speak, or write about activities at
the retreat.

But since it was Republican leaning, the Bohemian Club was
a big target for the liberal media. By the late
nineteen eighties, investigative journalists had thoroughly infiltrated the annual event
and reported what they'd witnessed well.

I think it's a playground for the powerful. It's a
place where wealthy men from all of the United States
gather for two weeks to remove summer camp with this
ceremony called the Cremation of Care that begins the two
week encampment, where the body of dull Care, symbolizing woes
and concerns, is burned on an alder in front of
a big owl statue. When that ceremony ends, they all

start to cheer and yell and hand each other a beer.

As one investigative journalist wrote, the annual event was a
largely insular, somewhat absurd frat party for elites, but conspiracy
theorists like English writer David Ike believe there is something
far more nefarious occurring.

Now here's another picture from Bohemian Grove. During this summer
camp is a ritual in which the elite of the
world they dress up in long gowns with hoods on.
Now what we got here a forty foot stone owl.
Go Back in the ancient world, they used to sacrifice

elite names are still doing ritual sacrifices of children.

Alex Jones picked up on this growing online conspiracy theory
and decided to dig into it.

A little over two thousand people travel there to engage
in bizarre ancient Canaanite, Luciferian, babylon mystery religion ceremonies. At
least that was the rumors. Why are a world leaders
traveling in the middle of nowhere to worship this thing? Well,
I have to check it out for myself.

Jones, his small crew and a British documentary team led
by author and journalist John Ronson met at a hotel
in a small town adjacent to the Bohemian Grove, where
they put together a plan to infiltrate the annual event.
That's my redcoat friends, how you guys, we're late, Alex
reve youed a map of the camp site, figuring out
the best approach.

Here's the shrine of their devil owl, which they even
admit has its roots and like Babylon and the Druids
at them and everything else. So all over the world,
this weird owl shows up some cultors. They've thrown children
inside this, inside the bowels of this burning owl. That's historical.
We've all read the Bible about throwing your children to idols.
Soia's weird behavior definitely, So it needs to be investigated.

Connected with a lawyer named Rick who successfully infiltrated the
grove on several occasions. He said the best way to
enter was to just walk in, pretending like you own
the place.

There are going to be one or two guys sitting
by the side of this road in a camp chair,
looking bored and uninterested, and you're just going to say
just nod to them as you walk in.

For a group that was supposedly burning human sacrifices, security
appeared to be pretty lax. To try and fit in
with the audience, Alex and his team went down to
Eddie Bauer and bought some khakis, cashmere sweaters, and polo shirts.
Then to sound the part, Jones paced the motel balcony practicing,
talking preppy.

But seriously, David's as fast as microprocesses are starting to move,
it's getting down to a molecular level. The question is
at what level will just the actual six of science
stop us from making these the systems smaller.

And it's the entire nanotechnology revolution that I found me
most dynamic.

Before his invasion, Alex and the team decided to surveil
the road leading to the Bohemian Grove.

Well, here we are, folks turning on to the Bohemian
Highway and Bohemian Grove. We're going to find out what
in the New World orders going on here.

Alex decided that he was going to infiltrate the campsite
early in the day in case he got kicked out.

I've got to get in because if they catch me,
I got to sneak back in. M h yeah, I
will not be stopped.

When the moment arrived, their infiltration plan worked. Outfitted in
country club attire, they were able to stroll past the
checkpoints with their camera hidden in a small bag. Alex
captured greeny video of the campgrounds and cremation of care ceremony.

Here's a side shot from about thirty yards away of Mullick,
the Canaanite deity to which children were sacrificed too in Babel,
again the three thousand plus year old Molick.

He was able to acquire an event program and Alex
wove a wild theory divorced from the reality of the
images on the fire.

Now even more shocking is the figure of a human
body burning in the flames. In fact, I've shown it
to people that are experts in anatomy to actual doctors,
and they say that the anatomical size is that of
a baby or small child.

Jones offered no source for this anatomical analysis.

This is from the program itself given out to the
establishment lackeys witnessing the sinister activities. Remember in Babylon entire
they would throw their children into fiery pits. Look at
the size of the hands compared to the rest of
the body. Only children show these anatomical details. As we

sat there in the darkness, not knowing what we were
about to say, in the gathering crowd, suddenly across the
small lake we saw a carriage with men in black
and brown cloaks robes in front and and back, bearing
a bound body. Something particularly pleasing was happening for the
bohemian grovers with whatever developed with that crowd of men

in black and brown and the bound body on the
back of the buggy. They drove behind big black tarts
they had hanging out of the trees. There was lots
of smacking on lips of in bizarre enjoyment by the crowd.
We still haven't made out exactly what was going on,
but that a real sacrifice may have actually been developing
according to some occult experts.

The entire ceremony looked more like a stage play than
an actual child sacrifice ritual, which Jones admitted when speaking
to the British documentary team.

We understand that they're not literally killing a person.

Look at you right there, You've got death on this
black boat bringing a palette with with like a paper machete.

his audience, Jones pushed the darkest interpretation of the events.

There you see the funeral pyre burning with the effigy
of a human, or it could be real. Ladies and gentlemen,
These people are deadly serious. Those taking part in the
ceremony also notice the screams of pain coming from the sacrifice.
This is just unbelievably macabre and evil.

What Alex Jones was describing was a Satanic ritual, the
burning of a live human sacrifice, potentially even a child
that was screaming. He claimed to have found something that
not even liberal investigative reporters witnessed in their infiltration of
the elite event. Now, if they were actually burning someone alive,
you'd think that they would have had real security at

the entry. Immediately after the event, You'd imagine Alex Jones
rushing the footage to local police before all of the
evidence could be destroyed. I mean, this would have been
the biggest story of the century. A secret right wing
group whose membership boasted presidents of the United States and
leaders of industry burning a live human being, perhaps even

a baby. Surely Jones would have turned them into the authorities.
Arrests would have been made, and if the cops ignored
his evidence, the brave truth teller would have had a
massive cover up on his hands. That would have proved
his entire thesis that elites secretly collude to run the world.
But nowhere in the Bohemian Grove documentary does he show
that he contacted law enforcement. There was no scene of

him providing evidence to the police. Alex would later give
his perspective on what was happening at the annual event.

Well, one thing is perfectly certain from the evidence. They
are forced to go and attend and take part in
these activities if they wish to be elevated to the
highest levels of the geopolitical power structure.

But John Ronson, the British journalist that accompanied Alex, at
a completely different take. Ronson came to the conclusion that
it was just a bunch of old men reliving their
college fraternity days.

What happened with me and Alex said, we both witnesses
alburning seminary, and I realized that it was a silly,
grown up frat pro long sense. But Alex, of course
had his own spin on it, which was that it
was human sacrifice. Maybe that's a real person. So I

kind of moderate spin. Then it's not that crazy, it's understandable,

and Alex went back to his people with his own
incredibly crazy spin. You know, Alex is an intelligent man,
and I remember at the time sent to Alex, you know,
you know that what you're saying about bohemian growth isn't true.
You know, you're playing with fire here, and Alex said, yeah,
I'm not going to tell my listeners that.

Alex Jones put out a documentary on his investigation entitled
Dark Secrets Inside the Bohemian Grove. He suggested that the
elites were possibly burning children at the Altar of Moloch.
It was an incredible fabrication designed for maximum shock value.
There's nothing that animates people more, especially well meaning Christians,
than harming children. He promoted the documentary heavily on his

radio and public access shows.

to produce compromising material so that the elites could be

callers onto the show. That helped provide credibility to his story.

I've read quite a few books about cult survivors. One
book that I read, one of the victims asked the
cult leader how he got children babies for the cult sacrifices,
and he said, it's really easy. All I do is
I put an ad in the local paper saying loving
Christian couple wanting to adopt without going through the adoption.

Process the FBI. I can tell you how many black
people were killed in Austin, Texas last year by butcher knives.
How many burglaries there were reported last year nationwide or
down to a city or county level. They do not
keep numbers on missing children. The actual numbers are around
three hundred thousand a year. Now, let's say half of
those are runaways to come back home. You're talking about

hundreds of thousands. They kidnapped little girls off their doorsteps.
Should think him to heroin. They get a few years
at them, and they blow the match their heads off
and throw them into the ocean.

Then Alex said something that would eventually become his persuasion
kills shot. He invited his audience to investigate it for themselves.

of research materials for twenty five dollars and ninety five
cents a pop. He sold VHS copies of his Bohemian
Grove documentary. Here was a guy that was on the
radio and on public access television. He had a website
selling his documentary. Unheard of at the time. He was
calling out the Bushes by name, saying that they were

devil warshippers and claimed to have the tape to prove it.
And this was all happening when trust in the media
began to erode. The country had just experienced a long
impeachment of Bill Clinton for an affair with a White
House intern at the mainstream media had known about and
covered up for years. Alex was providing an alternative to
the mainstream media.

Go to alternative media, start valuing information. You get excited
about sports, I get excited about freedom or on a crisis.

It all looks so official, and if child sacrifices were
truly happy, clearly that was something worth dying for. Well,
one man eventually saw Jones's Bohemian Grove documentary and he
believed it was the cause he was preparing for for
his entire life.

his entire life. His name was Richard McCaslin. Since he
was a child, Richard had been obsessed with superheroes. By
the time he was seven, he was designing his own
superhero personas. Explosion Man, super Robot, nitro Man, Bobcat, Marvelite,

Fury Catboy, Patriot were a few of his creations. Growing
up in a devoutly Christian home, his parents tried to
steer him towards less violent Christian comics, but Richard was
drawn to the more traditional superhero fair He convinced his
mother to craft a Batman costume, then Shazam. As he
got older, he began designing his own outfits. He was

an odd cookie. After he graduated high school, Richard followed
in the footsteps of one of his superhero idols, Captain America.
He enlisted in the Marines for a three year stint,
hoping to get the training he needed to become a
real life superhero. After he was honorably discharged, he entered

a stunt training course, then returned to crafting his own
superhero outfits, a total of fifty four costumes by his
own estimation. He landed a gig at six Flags Amusement
Park as Batman, but then tragedy struck. Both of his

parents died, and as an only child, he was now
alone in the world and looking for a purpose. By
the early two thousands, he moved to Austin, Texas, and
that's when he was introduced to Alex Jones's documentary Dark
Secrets Inside Bohemian Grove.

Richard packed up his car and left Austin for northern California.
He arrived at the Bohemian Grove in July two thousand,
the same time the annual Cremation of Care event takes place.
He stepped out of his car carrying a Glock forty
five pistol. He saw people coming and going, but no
one famous. He quickly realized the mission would be too risky.
Speaker 2 (38:24):
Even if I did get in, then what I wasn't
sure if the sacrifice victim for the cremation of care
was a real baby or not. Even if it was,
what should I do? Rush in with guns blazing and
rescue the baby. This was real life, not a comic book.
Sure I could have killed a few Satanic pedophiles, but
the odds of me getting out of there alive with
a baby in tow or slimm to none.
Speaker 7 (38:45):
He reluctantly packed it up and drove back to Texas.
Speaker 2 (38:48):
At that time, I wasn't quite ready to get arrested,
let alone die.
Speaker 7 (38:51):
For the cause, He'd later confess.

September eleventh changed all that.
Speaker 20 (38:58):
This justin You were looking at obviously a very disturbing
live shot there. That is the World Trade Center, And
we have unconfirmed reports this morning that a plane has
crashed into one of the towers of the World Trade Center.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
Many conspiracy minded people like Richard instantly believed the nine
to eleven attacks on the World Trade Center were an
inside job. They became known as Truthers, and Alex Jones
quickly became their hero. That's because on July twenty fifth,
about six weeks before the attacks, Alex took to the
airwaves and delivered a rent that would make him a
legend among the truthers.
Speaker 6 (39:32):
Hello, ladies and gentlemen, I'm so glad that you could
join us today for this Wednesday, July twenty fifth, two
thousand and one broadcast. Tyranny is enveloping the globe and
the United States is shining jewel. The globalists want to
bring down and they will use terrorism as the pretext
to get it done.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
Alex claimed that he was concerned that Americans were being
primed for a terrorist attack that the US government was
about to commit on American soil.
Speaker 6 (39:59):
The point is, if any terrorism comes, it's from this government.
And if there was that's an outside threat like a
beIN laden, He's the boogeyman they need in this Sorwellian
phony system. I want the White House numbers up there now.
Call the White House and tell them we know the
government's planning terrorism. We know Oklahoma City and World Trade
Center was terrorism. We know the joint He's of staff
wanted to blow up airliners Baltimore Sun. If you do it,
(40:22):
we're gonna blame you because we know who's up to it.
Or if you let some terrorist group drew it like
the World Trade Center, we know who to blame, and
you could save the planet. I'm calling an operation expose
the Government terror.
Speaker 1 (40:34):
When the nine to eleven attack hit, Alex Jones went
on the air that day claiming he predicted the attack.
Speaker 12 (40:40):
So I know we're carried by a lot of stations
that don't normally carry the show because they know that
I have been predicting this for years. If you go
to InfoWars dot com, you'll find some interesting evidence there.
Speaker 1 (40:51):
The nine to eleven Commission would later publish its final
report concluding that miscommunication between intelligence groups left the US
vulnerable to an attack by Al Qaeda. But from day one,
Ruthers were never going to believe that conclusion, and Alex
Jones would help make sure of that. He would strip
his so called prediction of context and deceptively edited his
(41:12):
rant in a way that made him look like a prophet.
But that's a story for later in this series. Many
new Truthers believed it was time to take direct action,
including Richard McCaslin.
Speaker 7 (41:28):
He prepared for a few months. He accumulated weapons, brushed
up on his skills, taking a pistol course than combat training.
He set a target date of January two thousand and two,
and in the months leading up to his raid, he
decided he'd move to Carson City, Nevada, to be closer
to the Bohemian Grove. Before leaving Austin, he ventured to
(41:49):
the studio of Alex Jones and met the broadcaster looking
for validation.
Speaker 2 (41:53):
I felt I should meet this guy before I went
to the grove. We discussed the grove in general, but
I didn't say anything about going there.
Speaker 7 (42:03):
Richard was careful to hide his mission to avoid implicating
the Info War's host. He moved to Carson City, Nevada,
periodically staking out the grove. Then, on January nineteenth, two
thousand and two, he put his plan into motion. Richard
(42:24):
McCaslin put on a bulletproof vest, blue army fatigues, a
rubber skeleton mask, and with red ink, he painted two
words across his chest Phantom Patriot. He loaded into his
car a double barreled shotgun, a forty five caliber pistol,
a crossbow, a knife, a handmade bomb launcher, and a
two foot long sword. He drove to the Bohemian Grove area,
(42:53):
crept through the tall redwood forest. With his weapons in tow,
he began hunting for the secret chamber used to torture
children before they were sacrificed on the altar of the
giant Moloch inspired owl. As Richard made his way into
the darkness, he expected an armed resistance, but as he
(43:19):
traced through the woods, his flashlight went out. The marine
trained commando in a Phantom Patriot superhero costume was completely lost.
He eventually stumbled his way into a cabin, found a cot,
and passed out for the night. When he woke the
next morning in the light of day, he found the
enormous owl statue. He placed an old Testament verse at
(43:42):
its base. Then, with no enslaved children to save or
resistance for us to fight, Richard decided to do the
next best thing. He set a building on fire, but
as the flames rose, the structure's automatic sprinklers kicked in,
immediately extinguishing the fire. It wasn't long until county deputies
intercepted him. Realizing he was faced off with real law
(44:04):
enforcement officers, phantom Patriot put his hands up and quietly surrendered.
When asked why he invaded Bohemian Grove, Richard told law
enforcement he was inspired by talk show host Alex Jones.
He'd eventually be sentenced to almost twelve years in prison.
Alex Jones would later suggest that Richard was just another
government operation.
Speaker 6 (44:25):
Richard mccas one. I don't want to say he's a
government operative, but it hits the mo to a key.
Speaker 7 (44:31):
The Bohemian Grove attack could have been chalked up as
a fluke one crazy Alex Jones audience member decides to
take the law into his own hands and save the children.
But in the coming years, this scene would play out again,
and some began to question who is really to blame here,
the guy that takes action after hearing the conspiracy theory
(44:51):
or the man weaving it.
