(00:00):
What'd you say it is? Itis cold in here? You know,
I can't get the temperature right inthe studio. It's either go ahead,
it's really hot or it's really reallycold. Okay, I I already said
I always have Lisa changed the youknow, the thermostack because I can't really
figure it out. And it doesn'tmatter. It's either really hot or it's
really it's getting cold in here.I'm gone on freees off and get in
(00:27):
my jacket of shut up god.Billy and Lisa in the Morning Present Behind
the scenes look into Boston's favorite morningshow. That's a little too much information.
The after show podcast, Who Here'sJustin and Winning. I want to
welcome back for our listeners. Herehere we are anyway, Yeah, Justin
(00:49):
winning off yesterday. We had somemeetings after the show. The longest meeting
in my life. Wow. It'stwo and a half hours long meeting.
Pretty long meeting. And because JustinI got it. Yeah I had to.
It was still going. You know. I tell my wife I had
a meeting from ten to eleven,Okay, so then I'll be home by
eleven thirty. She has to scheduleall her meetings around that time, so
(01:11):
eleven thirty, but dropped behind you. Oh it's this thing falling apart.
My studio is falling apart, andit's and it's cold. Dude. That
later, let's get through this podcast. Okay, okay, mom, I
was chewing gum into the microphone.Dude. People that's skill like that.
(01:33):
No they don't. Oh god, this is just anyway. Anyway, we're
back. This is impossible. Thisyou know what happened. I know what
happened. We're not getting paid anymorefor this podcast because we know we lost
all our listeners. Yeah, they'rehere. Anyway, we're back, and
(01:56):
uh, you know, we hada good show today. It was a
busy show. We made some changes, you know, because we have this
meeting, and the meeting is agood thing. It's people. So they
do this in all entertainment, Ithink right where they have what's called focus
groups. You know, it's calledresearch. Right. So what they'll do
is they'll take our audio and they'llget a sample size or a group of
(02:16):
people, different ages, races, all that they'll play in the audio and
then they get feedback and then theyreport that feedback to us what do people
like, what they don't like? And then we make changes based on that,
and so it was all just kindof all good stuff. Really,
there really wasn't any really bad stuff. We cat well and a lot of
things. Yeah, I mean someof it was understandable. You know,
(02:38):
sometimes I think that we do asegment and it goes maybe too long,
where you know, we're kind ofbeating a dead horse. That's that's that's
surprising that saying hasn't gotten canceled.Beating a dead horse that's very old school,
didn't get canceled. Am I gonnaget canceled for that? Anyway?
That was one. The other one, which was a big one that I
(03:00):
have been a big fan of fora long time, is the right now
segment. The right Now segment,Winnie has been dying for a big fan
of getting rid of it. Ohyou didn't say, you said a big
fan of it, big fan ofgetting rid of Oh, thank you for
correct Well, I just want everyone, well, let's back it up here
for a second. Okay, herewe go up from today show. Is
(03:21):
that payback? Yeah? Yeah,so the right now segment has been dying
for about ten years. Okay, and oh it's really cood. So you
gotta understand when that segment started earlyin late nineties two thousand. That was
before cell phones, before social media. That's when everyone used landlines. Right
well, they had cell phones, they're calling from their car. They have
smartphones. They didn't have smartphones cellphones, not many though, and I
(03:46):
think most people were calling from theirhouse. I think because but even to
the mid two thousands, it wasreally the introduction, the introduction of TikTok
and Instagram, where people were goingwith their grievances about the world to their
well they could do a status update. So right now used to be a
status update, right and so nowpeople don't really call just to say what's
(04:09):
going on. They'll call for areason, if there's a good topic,
or if they want to say somethingabout something that we're talking about, they'll
call. But then not calling tofucking check in, it just doesn't happen.
So but they've been holding you know, the powers that be. Right
Now is such a powerful name fora segment in the in the city.
Everyone knows kiss went await Matt inthe morning, now billion Lise in the
(04:32):
morning. Right now. But yesterdaywe finally decided to get rid of it,
start something fresh. But we wantedto keep it kind of similar.
And the way we've been doing rightnow, right winning, is that we've
been doing kind of these topics, right what are people talking about? What's
some fun topics that you know?So we thought, why don't we let
the listeners decide call it topic timeand uh, you know, and we'll
(04:54):
have a couple of topics and peoplecan check in. I think it went
well. I like it. Yeah, right now, grinding my gears for
the while, all right, right, right, Well, I think that
what's funny is that we had twotopics and both were or were part of
stories that we had this morning. One was Carson Dally saying that he sleeps
in a separate bed than his wifeand he loves it. And then the
(05:15):
other one was weird pets because NicoleRichie was on Foulin last night and you
know, she said she used tohave a pet rat. They only wanted
to talk about one and that wassleeping in the bed. So I think
sometimes we have a hot topic, right and uh and people and people just
go with it. So I thoughtit went well. So that was that,
and yeah, just it's just afast moving show, it really is.
(05:39):
There really is just a lot goingon. There's a lot to unpack.
Yeah, there's a lot to unpack. And you know, we'll have
some new imaging and stuff coming youknow. Imaging is when he yeah,
just making sure you know what itis. Yeah, so we have some
new stuff coming along. When yoube pumped about right No, no,
(06:00):
no, no, no, nono no, we're not listening to that
anymore. When he doesn't like you, I hate that right now. Okay,
although if you listen to it,I'll play it one more time just
so you can hear it right rightnow, right now, right now.
It's Billy and in the morning.Yeah. So when Will Farrell says my
(06:25):
head is what did he say?Killing me right now? And is killing
me right now? That's from Daddy'sHome, which I had never seen.
You've never seen it, never seenit until this past weekend. It was
on TV and we loved it.My wife. Oh yeah, it's good.
It's really funny. And you know, every day I hear that intro.
It's for years, I know, for years. So in that scene
(06:45):
when Will Farrell says it, assoon as he says, so you didn't
put that together? God, ohmy god, No, No, that
was Kevin. Kevin is the station'sproduction guy put that together. So yeah,
so no more. Right now,we do the topic time and you
know, we'll take suggestions from listenersto and it don't change day to day.
And I just the whole idea Ithink was this. I think that
(07:12):
right now is becoming basically a topicdriven segment. And there were multiple people
wanted to talk about multiple things,so we're going to give them that ability,
and so they're you guys are gonnabe able to choose. That's all
a little behind the scenes of thebillion. Yeah, so what else is
going on Whennie? Yeah, notmuch. I got my new ice bath,
(07:32):
which is good, so excited foryou. I like it. I'm
gonna get used to it. Youknow, I'm used to lying down in
an ice bath. No, thisone has a seat. Yeah, but
I feel very cooped up. Youknow, it's a barrel. Essentially,
we have to end this podcast. You were just on fucking one today.
This is like it's like unlistening andno, hold on on the ice barrel,
(07:55):
right on the ice barrow, myice bath on the ice barrow?
Are you high? I don't understandnormal hair. I wish I was high.
The ice bath has a seat andhas stairs that you climb into it,
which is pretty cool. And that'sbut that's not the most why I
really got it. I got itbecause it's insulated and has a cover,
you know what I mean. Soyou can leave the ice in. Yes,
(08:16):
that's a big deal. It's expensiveto buy ice every day, so
over time you're gonna save money, that's right. So you won't change the
ice out for a while. Thewater, I'll change it like once a
week, you know. I'll putsome stuff in there to keep it kind
of cleaner. But yeah, otherthan that, whatever Quarene is it?
No, no, no, no, because it's not going to be moving,
(08:37):
you know. The water, it'sstill water. But I think you
can put like a stabilizer in it. I'm not sure. I change it
like once a week anyway, Andit's fine. It's only me going in
the stupid thing. I saw Ablejumping in that ship. Able goes in
for a second. Yeah, hegoes in for a second. So yeah,
I think that's it. Oh ohno, there was one more thing
here, Whinnie for you. Iwas I didn't get too on the show.
Here we go, Good morning morning. It's Brian from Stowton. I
(09:01):
just wanted to say that. Iwas in south Shore Plaza mall last week
and I saw a little miss Winifredgetting her makeup done in the Macy's And
let me tell you, she lookedlike she had some hot gossip she was
sharing with that makeup attack with allthat look on her face. How were
you doing my makeup? Mama?Wendy. I love her. She's a
(09:22):
freelancer for Channel Okay, so sometimesshe'd be like, oh, come by,
you know, catch up. SoI went and I hadn't seen her
a while. Thro were catching up. Tell her about the hawk. He
was so right, Yeah, what'shis hand? What were you gossiping about?
Brian? Brian, Brian, You'reso right. I love that,
she said, Hi, Brian, say hi next time. Yeah. What
was what were you and Wendy talkingabout? Probably my girlfriend? Ah,
(09:43):
right, and my family. Meand her talk about everything. She's my
makeup. She's like the first personI told about my girlfriend. You know
how you know when when he's gossipingbecause she's a close talker. So when
she gets really close to the person, you know that gossiping. Oh I'm
talking because she does it with MichelleBilly's wife. Oh, me and Michelle
nose to nose. I actually sometimesI have to go in for a rescue
mission hostage. Michelle had the bestcombos I know, but I feel like
(10:07):
ten minutes of that close it's like, you know, let her breathe,
Michelle are talking top secret ship.Oh god? So all right, well
that's cool. Yeah, we thoughtwe check in tomorrow. We'll be back.
Please if you listen, when youlisten to the show, if you

know, give us feedback. We'dlove to hear that. And that's it.
(10:28):
