Speaker 1 (00:00):
After Show podcasts. Welcome in, everybody, hope you doing well.
It's a Monday, it's Justin and it's Winny and we
just got off the air for the chills, and here
we are when he has the chills. I think it's
going to be a great podcast. Anyway. Quick is it
going to be quick?
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Do you even do the thing?
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Do what thing? You know?
Speaker 2 (00:16):
The thing?
Speaker 1 (00:18):
The intro, I mean, it's like twenty seconds.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
You can't get it.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
It says your name, all right, you don't want to
hear your name Justin, Billy and Lisa in the Morning Present,
a behind the scenes look into Boston's favorite morning show.
That's a little too much information, guys, the After show podcast?
Who hears Justin and Winny? So I got a DM
(00:41):
from a listener who actually couldn't find our podcast. What interesting? Right? Yeah?
She thought we didn't do it anymore? What Yeah? So
I sent her the link and told her we did,
and then she found it and she was like, oh
my god, thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
How didn't she know?
Speaker 1 (00:57):
I don't know. I don't know what happened. Here we are,
Here we are after a weekend that was just too short.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Yeah, I really am I think I need. Well, we
have a three day we can coming up.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
Yeah that's good. That's just when you're busy in doing things,
it goes by too quick. I feel like I.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
Wasn't busy and it still went by too quick. I
didn't do.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Anything just sitting on your couch and watch TV.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
I did.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
I mean I did, like Random's like I brought down
and got a petticure, Like you know what else did
I do?
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:26):
I didn't watch random Shit, got high?
Speaker 1 (01:28):
Got high? There you go. You know what you get
high from me? I do get high for you because
my days are over.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Well, my eddie days are going to be.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
I mean, I do this thing where I go, I'll
get high for like two weeks, like like I'll buy edibles, yeah,
and I'll get rid of them and then I won't
get high for like six months.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Yeah. It's a crazy thing that it's weed's legal now.
It still blows my mind.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
Every day I drive to the gym in Haverll and
I drive by a weed places all stem and I
see people just walking in and out. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
No, So I like to just buy it and get
it out the way so you have it. Yeah, but
I'll buy the edible and then I'll take them throughout
like a few weeks period, and then I won't for
like months.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Are you afraid of taking too much and getting too high?
Isn't that a thing?
Speaker 2 (02:10):
I mean, I guess, I mean.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
No, they weren't around one.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
Oh I love edibles because it's a body high, which
is so much better than I had high.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
And yeah I do.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
I have noticed though, like because I've been taking the
last like two weeks, my tolengs is getting high.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
So yesterday I had to take three.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
You took three, I took three. We see, now you
have a habit.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
No, but then I'm done because now they're done.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
And there's no withdrawal, no, like you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
So no, it's like, but I won't buy them now
for like literally six months. And I don't like joints
like I don't like actual.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
See that's the difference between someone like you and someone
like me. You don't have that addiction thing. You just stop.
You just you have control over your over yourself. Yeah,
it's like I just don't have that, you know, I don't.
I have to take every single and then I want more.
You know what. One of the biggest things that I
identified with about when I stopped getting high was when
(03:06):
I heard someone say when I was using a drug,
I wouldn't even enjoy it because I'd be thinking about
the next drug, Right, what am I going to do
next instead of enjoying this one, which I thought was crazy.
So that's good. So now you're a drug addict. Well
here we are. It's a Monday. I'm just kidding. I
didn't do much. I went to I went out on
(03:27):
Saturday night. But anybody Alan there?
Speaker 3 (03:30):
I know on Facebook, Jen, you guys are tagged by
Alan's wife and stuff, and then Jen, I think reposted.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
I don't know, I did see them. You went to
the ax place?
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Well that showed up on Facebook.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Yeah, yeah, why.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
That's the whole thing. So Alan, I love him, but
he got into a fight with another one of my friends.
My good friends and I hate each other. You don't
know him. He's like an older guy. They had they
had some words and so they don't talk. Their arch
enemies and so not that. My other friend and thinks
that I shouldn't be friends with them. Yeah, but I
always just feel awkward. I'm like, oh, here we go.
(04:05):
Kids like they oh yeah, yeah, he understands that, and
my wife and his wife are very good friends.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Everywhere I know, I see Ellen every time I go
to a family thing.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
I don't see the other guy. Who's the other guy?
That's true?
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Who's that guy?
Speaker 1 (04:17):
I know? Where are you? That's true? I just always
I bet.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
The other Yeah no, no, Well that says a lot,
because I've met a lot of people in your life.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Yeah, they had a big fight.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
So but it was okay, Now what was it about, Like,
come on, you can't just tell us that and then
not tell us the juice.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Alan won't give a fuck.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
I'll tell you.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
I know, He'll tell us himself very exclusively.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Well, they had Alan didn't like what the guy was
saying as far as he was. The guy was complaining
about the way that this event was running, and yeah, yeah, yeah,
And so recovery of that was building up between them,
like they were annoying each other for a while, and
then it just kind of exploded one day and Alan
just kind of spoke up and said, you know, I
(05:00):
don't I don't agree with you're saying. And then he
said something back, and then you know where it goes
from there. Outside right now, Yeah, I wasn't, thank god,
but I had to hear all about it from both sides.
Both sides, right, Oh, Alan definitely wrong. Yeah, really, he
shouldn't have took it to that level. I tell him
(05:20):
that all the time.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
I'm like, well, he's a very extreme person. I mean,
are listen.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
It takes a lone. I told him this too. It
takes a He's working on it, but it takes a
long time to get out of that jail mentality. The
jail mentality is if you disrespect me, we're fighting. That's it.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
You know.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
He needs to work away from that and more think
like an adult. You know, it's not worth it fighting.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
So oh so interesting that you think Alan's the wrong one.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Yeah, I understood why he did it. He was annoyed,
but he could have just walked away. It takes a
bigger man to just walk away, don't feed into it
and you know, threaten somebody to do.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
You think his stance was right.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
I understand why he was annoyed. Yeah, I would have
been anoid too. The difference is I would have just
kept my mouth shut and just left instead of, you know,
trying to fight some that's a lot.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Yeah, you would have said something no, no, no.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
So anyway, it was his birthday. We went to this
place called par twenty eight. You would love it Whennie.
It's in Salem. I never. It's a hidden gym. It's
just basically a bar. They have a bar and stuff,
but they have simulated golf and then they have axe
throwing and they have a bunch of other games and stuff.
And it's cool because you can rent the axe lane
and you get food, you have a server. So we
(06:30):
just threw axes and had fun. It was good and
that was it. And then my mother in law watched
my two kids and she was drunk because she was
at Hampton Beach all day, you know, partying it out.
I came, so she came back like half in the bag.
So it wasn't that bad. And we were right down
the street. But here's the funniest part. So jim Abele's
out with his friends the whole time. So we were
going three hours. Gemma was in a swimming when we left,
(06:53):
she was in the pool playing outside. So it was
her and the neighbor both drinking. So we leave, we
come back three hours later, they're both hammered, okay, and
Jemma's just playing in front of them. She's not doing
anything hammered. Okay, so she has the same swimming on.
They didn't now the thing about swimming, you know, but
it doesn't hold pee.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Yeah, so where's she peeing?
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Well, here's the thing. When we came back, she's like, ma,
what she has a swimming on the same swimming and
she goes, oh, no, she's fine. She was wet from
the pool. We were holding her the whole time, and
so they were holding her taking turns. She was peeing
all over them and they didn't know what this was
from five to eight, So Jemma was peeing all over them.
(07:35):
They had no idea because they were so drunk. It's disgusting.
Oh my god. That was my big weekend. But anyway,
we're back in action for this week and then Labor Day,
and in the radio world after Labor Day is a
big deal because for some reason, teachers and people that
are off for summer are like, they forget that the
(07:57):
show exists.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
We have the app guy Galic.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
I know, it's weird. They sleep in and they don't
understand they can get the podcast. Yeah, I think it's
just we don't we fall out of their routine.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
There is such a difference from September to May or
June than the summer months.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
Yeah, yeah, sure, there really is.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
So we look forward to everyone coming back in their routine.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
We welcome them to come back. So we'll do a
whole reintroduction for all.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
I have to figure out that.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
For social well, no, because last year, last time we
did when it was funny, it was like with the
sitcom thing, but that's played out.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
I want to do the same one again, you know
what I mean?
Speaker 1 (08:33):
So what are we gonna do?
Speaker 2 (08:35):
I got a fucking week to figure it out.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
And speaking of teachers, we are leaving right now because
we're going to go have a meeting about you know, teachers.
We can't give more details on that, but that's it.
We want to do something. We're gonna do something cool,
I think for some teachers. So if you're a teacher
out there, make sure you're on the lookout. And that's
about it. Okay, that's our time to go. Bye Winnie.
