Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, look at that we showed up for the

(00:01):
after show. Look how much we love everybody here we are.
It's just in Winnie and it is Thursday, after the
big book Club event.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
We met so many after show army listeners.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
So nice to meet all of you.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
And I think it was yesterday's podcast where I said,
you know, I always get a little nervous when someone
says I listened to the after show. Yep, and they
a bunch of people did it last night.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
I listened to the after show. One woman is now.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
I don't remember if she's going back and listening for
the first time or listening again, but she is in
the middle of going to the very beginning, like when
Be's was here.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
She's going through someone about that before.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Yeah, so now she's She was like telling me, yeah,
I'm on the it's around this time with Bex, and
I'm like, wow, that's so.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Weird, so weird.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
She's like a time capsule. I know, the podcast is
kind of a timecat And.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Then she's gonna get to like when Bex leaves and
Winnie comes on, and she's gonna be like, wow, this
thing's trash.

Speaker 5 (00:57):
Billy and Lisa in the morning present behind this look
into Boston's favorite morning show that's a little too much information,
The after show podcast, Who Here's Justin and Winning?

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Just kidding, just kidding, just kidding. Anyway, quick one today.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Just wanted to stop in and say hi before the
Labor Day weekend and uh yes, say thank you to
everybody that came out to the.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Book club last night. It was so much fun.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
It's so much fun meeting people, especially and I know
this happened to you. Happens to you a lot whinny
like last night, where you meet people that DM you yes,
because you don't know what they look like, you don't
know what they sound like. In these people that you
talk to them regularly, yeah, you know, and uh and
then you meet them and they're like, oh I'm so
and so on Instagram.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Oh my god, yeah, yep, cool, you know it is
is cool.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
I was, well, Justin loved it because he likes when
like the ladies are like, oh my, it looks so good.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
No one said that.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Oh no, Actually, Tara, who we met, was lovely. She
said that we were both stunning.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Oh oh, Tari, Yeah, she dms she dms me all
the time. She's she's really nice. She was with her daughter.
Classic winning moment. Okay, So we meet this listener, Tara,
and she's like telling us she's a big fan and
that she won a trip to Orlando twice twice, yeah,
which is hard to win.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
So she tells us she won and went whatever, and
when he goes, hey, let me ask you a question
when you got the taxes for that, like did you
have to pay a lot of money in taxes? She
looked at Whennie like like she had three heads right,
and she was like, well no, because you know it's
only like three grand, like she Okay, I worked.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Here for almost ten years.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
I first started in marketing, which is where all the
prizing comes from. Okay, so I have been dealing with
it ten nine ie forms in the in the in
like the contesting for a decade and I can't win
anything and I worn't here, and I've always wondered with
higher item prizes you had to fill Everyone goes, why
did you fill it out? Because I'm like, if you win,
if you accumulate enough prizing.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Are you okay?

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Sorry over yet because.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
It's not if you wouldn't more than one, because you
couldn't just like tickets that are not worth it, but
we need it because if you keep kidding to win,
we need to charge you know.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Filed that's ten ninety nine.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
However, so I've always wondered what that looks like in your.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Taxes because like, is it noticeable? Do you even care?
Does it even mean? Like is it just you get
less money back?

Speaker 5 (03:26):
Like?

Speaker 3 (03:26):
Does it you know? I think it depends on your
tax bracks.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Well it's a valid question, but like you just said,
I think Tower was in a higher tax bracket. Okay,
I don't think she noticed the taxes on three thousand dollars.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Okay, well I was. I probably would, so.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
I mean, you wouldn't have known that. So, but it
was just funny the way she looked.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
She was just like, I know, she really did seem stump.
I felt weird to ask you.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Yeah, I was like, but she was super nice.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
No, she was so her daughter was sweet. They were
really really nice family.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
It was really great.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Yeah, it's so cool because you meet people and like
when lady you know came up and gave me a
hug and she said, you know, I heard your story
about being scammed and my dad just almost got scammed.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
But you know.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
I'd heard your story, so I knew like something wasn't
right and she was able to stop the scam.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Wait, by the way, what's the update on that.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Yeah, so I got the money back. And then but
it's called a credit while they do the investigation. So
once the investigation wraps within three months, that you get
a leather either saying we found the fraud, You're all good,
or they pull the money back. So the last time
I was at the bank, the guy in the fraud department,
he was on the phone. He said, just so you know,

(04:36):
the money that we gave you is a credit, and
if we find you at fault, we take the money back.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
I don't think so, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
Like literally gave them the information over the phone and
I tell you not to I.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Know, but it said Santander Bank. It said, you know,
I didn't.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Know, okay, And did you take screenshots?

Speaker 2 (04:55):
I showed yes.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
I showed them the calls from Santander. I showed them
the text messages that said that legit look like they
were from a bank.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Yeah, you know.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
And then not not not only that, all the money
went in small transactions to a currency exchange website for
Indian money roupees.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
So I have a bigger question then, So you most
likely will get the money fully back. Yeah, So are
you going to give Mike Rocket back the loan he
gave you or is that a gift?

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Absolutely? Yeah, really absolutely.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
I don't think he's going to ask for it.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Oh, I'll give him the money back.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Yeah, he's gonna loan Mike. I want to get this
keep it.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
No, No, well, if he does, that would be nice
of him.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
It was nice.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
It was nice for him to help me at a
low moment in my life. But it was only a credit.
So hopefully it'll it'll be all right.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
Okay, I think you'll be fine. I'm not worried about it.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
But them not taking the money back, well yeah, because.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
Even if you didn't, Mike gave you the money, like
you're actually knowing you you'll you'll be up a couple
grand after this.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Yeah, I do, I do, Okay, I do.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
Always works out for Justin. Yeah, you know, all right,
it's that time we gotta go.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Where we're going the meeting? What meeting?

Speaker 3 (06:06):
The meeting that we have?

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Oh yeah, we have a Sabrina September meeting. Big Sabrina
Carpenter Contest launching on Tuesday. We will tell you all
about it tomorrow on The Billy and Lisa Show. But
if you're trying to win Sabrina Carpenter tickets, that's gonna
happen next week, right, Winnie, Yes, all right, and I
guess we got to go to the meeting, so we'll
leave you with these words.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
What is good for the hull is not always good
for the soul.
