Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, here we go after show podcast justin Winnie on
a Tuesday, October the eighth. Good morning to you, Winnie,
although I've been with you for the past six hours. Yeah,
here we are the after show. Now here's a little
behind the scenes, right, So yesterday we so right now, Okay,
it's nine forty three. Okay, this is week in the
(00:20):
after show. Yeah. Typically when the show's over at ten,
we jump in here and we record the after show, right,
but you know, we have a break between now and
when we say goodbye. It's about ten minutes, so we're
recording this. Yeah, during the show we are. We did
it yesterday and I was going to schedule it to
get you know, posted at ten, and I didn't. I
(00:41):
was wondering if people were like, wait, it's nine to fifty,
because some people get notified thank you they subscribe, Yes,
so they know subscription. Yeah, so it's nine forty three.
We got producer Riley in there running the live board. Billy,
Mikey and Lisa are in there, and Winnie and I
are here for the after show. Here we are. That's
what we do. But yeah, day three with no Billy,
(01:02):
I think we're doing okay, Yeah, I feel I feel
like I feel like I'm doing a lot of talk.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
I was going to say to you, you're really stepping
well into the hosting role, which I always knew you
had those tendencies because you host this show.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
That's true.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
You host the pre show, you host the best SUVs,
you host the weekend show. So you're a host now
officially a bit you're a host.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Yeah, I have a I have a little bit of
a confidence issue, you know. I feel like I'm really
good at things, like I know I'm really good at producing.
I know that I believe that this is something new
for me.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
So well, you you need to have main character energy.
I know when I say, oh we have to X
Y and Z, Oh what about what about Billy and Lisa,
I'm like, well, they're doing X, Y and Z, so
we need to do the other part of it. No
one cares about us. I don't know about you. People
care about me.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
I feel like I talked people care about me. I
feel like no one wants to talk, no one cares
about what I have to do, no one wants to
meet me. Well, you know, I think he does it
because he wants.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Me to stroke his ego and I'm like, no, do
it no, because you and I are a unit. You
know what I mean. We do this podcast together. You're
the producer, I mean the execuducer. I'm the regular producer.
You and I moved together, sir. If we got fired,
we get fired together.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
I grew up Whinnie as a little kid with the
esteem brothers. Do you know the esteem brothers?
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Is that like because you don't have any self estem?
Speaker 1 (02:18):
It's low and no. So you know, Oh my god,
That's how I grew up. But I will say yesterday
I had a little sit down with Maria Stefanos. She's lovely,
she's awesome, and she said to me, this was off camera,
off the interview. She was talking about me hosting and
like filling in for Billy, and she was like, you know,
(02:38):
I feel like you sound great. And I said exactly
what I said to you about the comp and she
looked at me and she's like, honey, I've been in
this market for a long time. When I tell you
sound good, you sound good? Now step up? Yep, all right?
This is yeah. Yeah. It was really funny. It was
funny because she goes, I go, oh, the first thing,
I said, what you got here. I go, oh, he says,
(03:00):
in there and go say. I said, okay, and I
go Billy's an Africa and I missed him. She goes,
I'm not here to see Billy.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
I love her. Can we really real quick address something
because it's annoying me? And this is where I come
to air my grievances. Okay, okay, So you saw yesterday
Jabrell Peppers, he was, you know, in court for the
allegations of strange strangulation, cocaine used, and assault with a
deadly web dan yourself and all that. Okay, horrible, horrible charges.
(03:25):
We don't know what happened in that house. We're waiting
for his day in court like everyone deserves. It isn't
an innocent until proven guilty. Also, don't want to you know,
what's the word discredit a victim. At the same time,
I reported on it on my Instagram and on kiss Instagram.
Did you watch it?
Speaker 1 (03:42):
I think I watched like a few seconds.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
They very much just like the facts of what was
going on.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Okay, let me go here and see what's going on.
So let me guess somebody commented, well they DM me, oh,
oh okay, that's that's that's different. We'll not different.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
But okay, this is not pup but you know, but
but like, did you see them or whatever?
Speaker 1 (04:01):
See what that videos?
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Yes, they were very much just like what was going on.
The second video was an update of him coming out
of court with just what the lawyer was responding to
the press.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Way, so what did the DM say?
Speaker 2 (04:12):
She said, struggling with you giving this any airtime. These
are some serious allegations and we may never know the
truth of what happened in that house. This comes across
as you're supporting him.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
Please are you just reporting the story?
Speaker 2 (04:24):
Also shared domestic violence Hotland Info for your followers who
maybe in the unsafe situations.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Yeah, it's a tough thing. I know, it's a tough no, no, no,
let me let me well because that person is probably
has dealt with domestic violence and I'm sorry for you.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
But at the same time, I understand that we are
like we are personalities. We are like our own like
kind of brand, right, but we're also we're like a
Maria or like Steve Cooper. We report on things like
during COVID we had to have special badges to come
to work because we're considered emergency personnel because we report
on news, right, Yeah, so I'm like for you to
(04:56):
say that I am supporting alleged domestic violence beaks. I
just stated what was going on, and his lawyer defended him,
and the quote of what the lawyer said, Yeah, that
is such a fucking reach and as a woman, that
highly offends me. And I'm sorry I didn't do the
DV disclaimer, but like that, it was a very short
clip of like, matter of fact, this is what's going on,
(05:19):
and we'll have more.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Yeah, I don't. I don't really see an issue there.
And believe me, I'm the first person too to call
you out. Yeah, yeah, you were just reporting the story.
It was breaking news. A Patriots player, captain captain, and I.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Will tell you I did match with him on Tinder
a couple of years ago.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
I did.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
Yeah, I met him on Tinder and he had his
Tinder as Jpe. So, I mean, I used to work
for the Patriots. I can spot a football player in
my way. I didn't know him, but I knew he's
a football player, so automatically I went and I lined
up the roster, found him in the roster, found out
who he was, and of course I gave him my
Snapchat when he asked for it. But then something happened
(05:54):
with my Tinder and it like deleted my whole tender
account like that day. So I don't think he ever
got my Snapchat, and I'm not gonna lie. I kept
swiping trying to find him again. Never did.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
But well, we'll see what happens with the case, you know.
But I don't know. I don't see an issue with
your reporting a breaking news report. That's what we do, yeah,
you know, and we don't shy away.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
And he's a it's a local story. It screams us
local sports figure, you know, breaking news. And I won't
apologize for how I report on it when I literally
made sure to only state facts and give none of
my opinions.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
I wouldn't I wouldn't worry about it. I wouldn't worry
about it. But we only have a couple of minutes here.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
So oh, I got do you know why? Well should
I tell people why we're doing this early?
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Why?
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Because I got to go because my sister needs my
fucking trip away car. Oh okay, but I don't know
if they're gonna even ask.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
I wanted to give an update on my interview yesterday
but you're running out of time. So oh well, I
wanted to give like a tease for it. No, no, no, no,
do it, Nope, do it, nope, do it. You don't
have time tomorrow. You gotta go tomorrow. I'll give you.
I'll give you a tea.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Well, you're blaming me. You should have told me that.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Well, yeah, yapping away some DM strategy.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
You never told me the strategy. If you have a
thing you want to talk about, you tell me, I'll
shut up.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
I'll give it to you real quick. It was a
great interview. It'll air in November during the sweeps, So
that's that's that's what they're holding it for sweeps. Yes,
and at at one point I didn't anticipate this. I
did cry, and so no, they won't. They won't. They won't,
they won't. So I'm excited to see it. It's it's
(07:29):
it's justin like you've never seen boy justice. So yeah,
grown men cry. Anyway, we gotta go back on the year.
That's it for the after show talk tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
But
