college campuses. This big, bigsystem she has put into place and was
about to defend it when all ofa sudden, she went into labor,
but thankfully, with the help ofher partner, she got rushed to the
hospital gave birth to a healthy babyboy named Enzo. And this is the
part that's crazy. Despite having justgiven birth, she was still going to

defend that dissertation, which she didonly seven hours later after taking a nap.
I mean, she basically said,you know what, I was ready
to go and I wasn't going tomiss this. I was prepared for it,
like what I do some final toucheson the presentation, like I did
the study that had the support.I just needed to take a nap,

take a shower, and regroup.I mean, the amazing resilience and dedication
there. So check this out.In one day, to me, I
earned the title of both mom anddoctor. She didn't even tell her dissertation
committee about having the baby earlier thatday. And this Sunday, not only
is she celebrating her first Mother's Day, but she is literally also graduating on
that day. Why don't I feellike she's definitely gonna be there. She's

a mom? Unbelievable. Of course, we do it all. I got
to talk about this because something youmight not always think about when we talk
about severe storms, especially those tornadoesripping through southwest Michigan, the animals.
People's pets, and unfortunately quite afew of them were also displaced from their
homes earlier this week. But thankfullywe have angels here on earth, like

those that work at the Animal RescueProject, and there are six little pups
soon to be ready for adoption.Unfortunately, a Portage family that lost their
home had to say goodbye to theirsix pups, but the Animal Rescue Project
has stepped up. Six puppies eightweeks old fortunately survived the tornado, and

office manager Liz limb Back said,they've got some pretty cute names for these
ones. Okay, so this oneis Tornado and we have rainy hail,
twister, stormy siren. Oh Imean, how oh sweet. But it
was no laughing matter obviously, asso many families have been displaced, and

it was the Animal Rescue Project amongother heroes that were out searching for animals
all week long, with some reallygood stories to come out of this.
For instance, her team found someonelooking up and pavilion estates desperately trying to
find her pets. They were ableto secure six different cats, bring them
to a local church and reunite themwith owners. As for the puffs,

the grocery store and discovered a thirtyfour year old woman was living inside the
business sign with enough space for hercomputer, her printer, she had a

to their incredible nursing staff. Justask Kennedy and her mom the crazy creative

teacher on Instagram, as Kennedy's momsays, shared a video just a couple
of days ago and said the nursesorganized a full blown Taylor Swift karaoke party.
Since day one, we're now onday thirty six. The staff has
continued to go above and beyond forour girl, and from what I've been
seeing walking around the halls, it'snot just for Kennedy. They go above

little girl lights up so much.Four year old Brianna Kate. Tragically,
her parents were lost their lives ina vehicle accident when she was just one

year old, and since then shewas actually living with the couple's best friends
and for three years they've been workingdiligently to try and get an adoption through
for Brianna. Anybody who's been throughthe adoption or foster situation knows what a
long and often painful process that canbe. Well, it finally came to
fruition is just last week, BriannaKate's adoption went through and she was greeted

by an incredible surprise right outside ofthe courtroom. As soon as it wrapped
up. We have a surprise foryou. Okay, you ready, All
of her classmates from her preschool werewaiting outside of the courtroom, friends and
family there to greets the name familyand the newly adopted Brianna cat right there,

super super sweet. The little girljust lights up and such a cool
story. And I wanted to bringit up today because obviously going into Mother's
Day on Sunday, there are somany different ways that you can be a
mom, right. It doesn't haveto just be the woman who gave birth
to you. It can be thatadopted mom, your foster mom, your
grandma, a teacher, a friend, a friend's mom, your aunt.

It happens in so many different ways. Also to the women still waiting to
be a mom, let's not forgetthem. It can be a tough weekend,
and just know that you have supportedothers in such an incredible way.
There's no doubt in my mind thatyou are destined to be a mom.
It will happen, and you're goingto be the most phenomenal mom out there.
