the weird part is is we hadother flower pots in the front of the
house. Nothing that close to theroad obviously is the mailbox, but like
other hanging pots. But somebody literallymust just drive right by. Yeah,

these are high school kids for andgrab this thing and then take off with
it. And it's two years ina row that this happened, and I'm
like, what is happening? Imean, we got like petunia prowlers,
some rows robbers, but beside theycould have I mean, you just took
the flowers. At least you didn'tget a baseball back to the mailbox where
you have to replace it. Itsilver lining, I guess, But like,
why what is my I mean,I if it's high schoolers, I

don't need the why. The whyis because they have like developed brains,
and then we just do stupid things. I get that, I live that,
but otherwise I don't get it,like you're stealing hanging flower baskets their
plants. People. We do havesecurity cameras, however, we have it
set up so that road drivers goingpast my house don't set it off.

is incredible because I know it wasnot the outcome we had all hoped for,
as our Grand Rapids Rise found themselvesin the finals of the inaugural season
against Omaha, unfortunately losing three setsto none, but it was still the
inaugural season where our women made itall the way to the end. Not

just that, but history was stillmade. Bring a press conference right before
the big matchup, coach Kathy Georgegot a question that even she hadn't put
together yet. A reporter asked,there's been a number of successful women coaches
in the NCAA, but I don'tbelieve a female coach has won the women's
D one championship yet. Of course, coach Kathy has had six hundred and

sixty seven wins in Division one volleyball, but thanks to her win and Omaha,
there was no doubt a woman wouldwin the first ever Pro Volleyball Federation
championship. And she thought that waspretty cool, really amazing, you know
because for so long people just thinkthat it can't be done. But it
can be done. You know,women need to be put in positions to

be able to win championships. Sojust very proud of all of the coaches
and really the league for everything they'vedone this year to go out and a
women and make all this happen forwomen. You know, it's not easy
to put this all together, andI you know, there's mistakes along the
way, and there's things like thatand it's it's okay because you have to
be brave enough to do something inthe first place, and that's exactly what

happens. So congratulations to head coachLaura Koon and her Omaha super Nova's taking
that big win. But I justthink it's incredible to not only see our
very first ever pro women's volleyball teamin history in West Michigan, watch them
go to the finals and just keepthat conversation going that unless you see yourself
doing something, you can't believe yourselfable to do that. And to see

two women make it to those championships, to coach these other incredible women felt
like a girl power story. Icouldn't ignore. Honestly, Smitty, you
shouldn't ignore it. And I justwant to say thank you. I want
to say thank you coach Kathy andwho all those players incredible who were inspiring
people all season long and showed GrandRapids that there's a home for professional women's

volleyball right here, And Schmitty,I know you're not going to say it,
but I can tell you that historywas made too, because I'm sure
in Grand Rapids and across the country, not many women also get to be
the in game announcers for different sportingof thanks women, know, so thank

accomplishment and I was proud to beable to take my daughter and come watch

this is just cool. Am CountySheriff's deputies along with some deputies and
officers from neighboring police departments gathered onSaturday at Scooter's Pro Cycle in Holt for
a really cool reason. They werethere with children who had gone through a
very tough tragedy very early on intheir life, and the officers had vowed

to be there for these kids,to be there, you know, to
help them out, to give themlove, to make sure that they felt
supported, and they were there fora great reason because they wanted to give
each and all every one of thesekids a surprise. As Detective Ryan Kramer
of the Inga County Sheriff's Department UHshared with the kids in this really cool
moment from Fox seventeen. We wantedto tell you guys that you are are

supported. I mean, you guysare loved in the amount of strength and
determination it took to overcome some challengesthat you've been through is just outstanding us.
So we wanted to reward you guys. This says you are going to
get a new bike. It's thesheriff's way of saying this. So it's
really long. They had a declaration. All these kids got brand new bikes

from Scooters pro Cycle right there andthese police officers. It's a program that
was actually founded by Deputy Kramer aswell as Ingham County Sheriff Deputy Bellinger,
and it's really really cool. Itis called Riding Towards Success. And just
on Saturday alone, they gave outsixty bikes to local children, just in
time for summer. And I justthought that was pretty awesome to see love

sharing amazing things, especially when theyhappen right here in our West Michigan community.
