Wakem It gets my day going andmakes me laugh. It Mac and Schmitty
in the Morning on Star one ohfive point seven. Well, good morning,
Smitty, Good morning. Welcome intoyour wet Wednesday. As we've seen
rain shower start in some areas aroundWest Michigant, others popping up here and
(00:23):
there is we're looking at the rainand thunderstorms to start out. This guy
had a light show on my wayin real, Oh yeah, north of
Grand Rapids. The sky was aglow. So this is kind of cramping
my style. All right, Sotoday is my kids last day of school,
hallelujah. But normally I do somesort of like water balloon actions,
(00:44):
some squirt gun stuff. What doesthat matter? What? It's poor mother
Nature's taking care of it for you. Today. I don't know what I
got. Maybe I have to revertto shaving cream. Not only does it,
you know less stay on, butthe water will help rinse it off.
So before they come, they coulddo that. I mean, maybe
I go your fun dad, anythingI gotta clean up ain't happening. Sorry,
kids, movies, music, andall the gossip in one place.
(01:07):
It's the celebrities gup on Star oneoh five point seven. Well, I
told you a couple of weeks agoabout Britney Spears big visit to Vegas while
not only was she hanging out withher brother, but it turns out also
her ex fiance and former co conservatorJason Treywick. Sources say Brittany got together
with Jason during the trip. Apparentlyall of them, her brother included,
(01:32):
are still very very close. Itmakes sense Jason lives in Vegas full time
now. They wound up hanging outat least once at Resorts World in Vegas,
and a lot of family and friendsare excited about this. Jason was
apparently a big rock for Britney anda wonderful support when they were together from
two thousand and nine to twenty thirteen, and even though they got engaged and
(01:53):
called it off, they've still stayedvery very cordial and very very close.
How have or nothing romantic. Apparentlysome friends would love to see a reunion
for these two, not something that'son Jason or Britney's mind right now.
It could be good. So it'sfunny, you said ex fiance Jason in
my head, I went to thatJason Alexander guy that you got. Yes,
(02:15):
this is Jason Treywack close failed engagement, but apparently still hanging out.
Chris Colfer says he was warned notto come out as gay when he was
filming Glee, even though he playedan openly gay character. In fact,
producers said it would absolutely ruin hiscareer. The actor was on the View
(02:38):
yesterday reflecting on his time on thehit show, and while it did take
him a while to come out, there was one moment with a fan that
changed everything. When I started fillingthe show, I had a lot of
people tell me, do not comeout. Whatever you do, oh recently
ruin your career, and I soI hate for a little bit. But
I also told them, you know, I can't high with my voice,
(03:00):
and I was more effeminate than thanmost people. I can't hide it.
And they said, don't worry, like, as long as you never address
it, you'll be rewarded for itin the end. And then I remember
we did. We went on thislike this big like poster signing tour right
before the show came out, andthis little boy secretly slid me an envelope
when his parents weren't looking, andI opened it up in his little note
(03:22):
that said thank you. And therewas a little chain, a little paper
clip chain that was the colors ofthe rainbow. And that moment I knew
I have to, like, Ihave to come here. There an inspiration,
he really was. It was agreat story considering it is Pride Month
and he's been with his partner formore than ten years now and works very
actively in the LGBTQ plus community.Yeah, and it's just grows to have
(03:43):
to listen to people talk about yourcareer in terms of sexuality like that,
when you're talking about a kid,a show about high school kids. You
know what I mean, it's justmessed up. Finally, Chris Kirkpatrick of
in Sync played through the injury ina pretty wild video that's just surfaced.
He was part of the Celebrity SoftballGame, one of several big names invited
(04:03):
to participate in the Rock and Jockfundraiser. This was for the Folds of
Honor organization. He was in Nashvilleand at one point iHeartRadio host Jeremy Lofer
went around, smashed into him ata base broke his hand yey so snored
but silt into Chris Kapatrick's and instinct, I mean, I barreled him over.
(04:24):
I might have blew out his ACLI don't know, but the two
hugged it out. Chris didn't reallyhave any idea until after the game.
He played an entire rest of thegame. Apparently went to his doctor who
said, yeah, your hand iscompletely smashed. He's now cast it all
the way up the middle of hisarm, and everybody's kind of like,
yeah, the BA part of theBad Boy Band. A great video.
(04:45):
I've got it up for you atWest Michigan Star dot com with all your
suits. Sometimes I get a goodfeeling. Yeah, let's put a little
let's put a little sunshine into this. Otherwise Randy morning, feeling good on
starting a fine point seven. It'smy in Schmidty And this is just so
cool when you see somebody's determination, hard work an amazing abilities pay off.
(05:10):
Blake done, Schmidty. Twenty fiveyear old Saga Tak High School alum made
the Big League's Last Night, hadhis debut. Yeah. The team even
announced on social media saying welcome tothe show Blake as he got set to
play the Colorado Rockies last night inDenver. Of course, he played at
Sagatuk High School. Went on toplay at Western Michigan University, got drafted
(05:34):
in the fifteenth round all the wayback in twenty twenty one, but he
has made the most of the opportunitysince then played for the minor league Balls
eventually got to the Reds Double aaffiliate in Chattanooga. Check this out.
He led all Reds minor leagues andhits total bases, run, stolen bases,
and was tied for the lead inhome runs too, enough to earn
(05:55):
him the Franchise Award for Minor LeaguePlayer of the Year. Well, last
night he made that debut in Denver, and how cool is this? His
family was there to support him. They made the trip from Michigan to Denver.
Smitty and his dad was there. His dad, Bill actually was the
longtime football coach and athletic director forSagatuck High School, was there to watch
(06:16):
his son. And he says hestill plays with that football mentality. He
definitely has a football mentality and playsa game with aggressiveness and toughness and tenaciousness
and all that good stuff. Butyou know, like mom said, he's
worked very hard for this opportunities andhe's had a tremendous amount of support from
the community in Saugatuck to our familyand his brothers and sisters, and so
(06:39):
we are truly blessed to be heretoday to watch him on his debut on
a major league field. Yeah,as moom Beverley said, she was almost
in tears watching. He even gota run last night as the Reds got
the win four to one. Socongratulations Blake done major league baseball player.
All right. I had the absoluteprivilege of going to the Bisso blocktail party
last night. This is a charitableevent. It goes on every year thanks
(07:02):
to the Bissel Pet Foundation, andthere were so many cuties adoptable animals like
Rosie and Cody and Nelly. Ifyou haven't hit our Instagram yet at West
Michigan Star, it will introduce youto Marty, who almost came home with
me. But it was really cool. I got to see a friend of
mine, Kelly, actually adopt adog yesterday. She went home with Spaghetti,
(07:26):
who they are calling Getty, andI just it was such a feel
good event. There's so many organizationsthat are there tons of shelters from all
across our state and beyond, andthey haven't released the numbers for this one
yet. But I just want topoint out as of the end of twenty
twenty three, almost fifty seven thousandcats were supported, more than seventy thousand
(07:46):
dogs, almost nine thousand microchips given, ninety thousand pets adapted, almost five
thousand pets transported to forever homes. It's incredible. If you've not gotten a
chance to look at all the goodthat the Bissel Pet Foundation does, I
invite you to follow them. They'regonna be posting a bunch of incredible stories
(08:09):
from last night and it's a really, really amazing organization that hails right from
our backyard. So you can checkit out at West Michigan Star. I
mean, such a great organization anda great event last night to do that
SCHMITTI and oh my goodness, Geddy, what a cutie. But Marty,
you gotta see party. Oh allright at West Michigan Star. Check those
out on Instagram right now. Anddon't forget. We're always here to get
(08:30):
you feeling good. That's what wedo. We're gonna go again with another
round of positivity coming up this morningat nine to twenty, movies, music
and all the gossip in one place. It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh
five point seven. Oh get readyfor a lot more of Alec and Hilaria
Baldwin in your life, because thecouple has announced a new reality show coming
(08:54):
to TLC. Here was the bigannouncement on their social yesterday. Hi,
I'm Laria Balls and we have anannouncement week No, definitely not. This
is We're inviting you into our ownexperience, the ups and down, the
good, the bad, wold andthe crazy. Poem is the place we
(09:16):
love to be most free. Alc. Yeah, the series is apparently going
to get fans a glimpse into lifewith seven kids under ten years old.
But they were mercilessly mocked online whenthis dropped yesterday afternoon, with one commenting,
(09:41):
you would think it would be onTelemundo No talking about that twenty twenty
situation where Hilaria talked about faking herSpanish heritage and that really bad accent.
Another person writing, when does dotdot dot shooting Begon because they believe allocated
to do this to bankroll his legaldefense since he is still facing charges for
(10:05):
that Rust shooting. Not exactly theresponse I'm sure they were looking for.
But this Baldwin series will hit TLCsometime next year. As a fan of
Alec Baldwin the actor, I reallylike him in almost everything he does.
That being said, I have nointerest in this whatsoever. Who thought this
is a good idea? I wouldwatch it. I might watch it for
more than one episode. I don'tknow. We'll see how I can.
(10:28):
I find Alec Baldwin struggling through fatherhoodto be something as hysterical as some of
the roles that he's played. That'sfair. I get this. Joe Jonas
getting close with Dememe Moore, He'sgot a type. So I had this
story last week Joe officially splitting fromhis girlfriend at the time after a few
(10:48):
months of dating, and now sourcessay that the two stars, with by
the way twenty seven year age difference, have been getting very close and cuddly.
The actress was seen in enjoying lunchwith Joe while at a hotel in
France. She also this is veryinteresting Joe many surprise performance appearance at cann
(11:09):
which Demi hosted. It was theAmbargala. Now Nick, Joe's brother,
was scheduled to perform, but notJoe, so it was a huge shock
video started surfacing of Demi dancing tothis song, which of course is Dnce,
which is fronted by Joe. Thesite claims the two met well in
the South of France last month, but probably not for the first time.
(11:33):
Listen, Nick and Nick Sex Mileyare very close with Demi in the past,
so they've struck up a friendship thatsome say has turned romantic. I
say good for you to me?Is this look amazing? Is this bigger
smaller age gap than Nasty Coacher waspretty close though, somewhere in there.
Finally, Lady Guy Guy is officiallycommenting on those pregnancy rumors, saying not
(11:58):
true. Picture surfaced of her ather sister Natalie's wedding over the weekend,
and a lot of fans thought theycould definitely spot a baby bump. Well,
Gaga took her TikTok yesterday. Imean, I'm sure there's somebody out
here right now who's going into picturestrying to type up all these adjectives to
describe me. It's a very popularTikTok sound. It just shows her at
(12:20):
the gym, and she simply wroteto fans, not pregnant, just down
bad crying at the gym. Andthen encouraged people to vote. So whether
you believe that or not, Idon't know. I knew it was a
taco baby all along, Smithy,All right, all of your celeb scoop
at West Michigan Star dot com.Good morning to you. It's Mack and
Schmitty and okay, So Golden Retrieveror black cats energy energy? Yeah,
(12:43):
this is energy. So we wereat the Bistol blacktail party last night,
naturally surrounded by a bunch of adoptablepets, when me and a couple of
our coworkers started talking about this. It's a trend I first saw on TikTok
to kind of explain a great wayto discover if some and you're with is
a successful relationship, and someone hasto be the Golden Retriever energy, and
(13:07):
someone has to be the black Catenergy. But here's what's interesting. It's
generally a guygirl kind of thing. So black cat energy which is me unbothered,
borderline selfish and prioritizes themselves above allelse pretty much any cat ever.
Okay, take a look at it, right, Golden Retriever energy is completely
(13:30):
opposite. They're very happy, goallucky, always excited to see you perhaps
a little bit naive, but absolutelyobsessed with everything about you. And so
when the black Cat Energy and GoldenRetriever Energy find each other, it's a
perfect fit. And I have toadmit that is my marriage. Honestly,
I can see that I have marriedGolden Retriever Energy. And the thing,
say, right, the thing withTikTok is everybody talks about like finding your
(13:54):
Golden Retriever guy, because it's avery rare thing to find and to be
cared for and respected and all thesethings. So now all these women have
started like kind of showing off theirGolden Retriever guy, and they talk about
celebrity couples like asap Rocky and Rihannaare a black Cat Golden Retriever Energy,
Timothy Shalamy and Kylie Jenner, theysay black Cat Golden Retriever Brooklyn Beckham and
(14:18):
his wife Intriest. It's a reallyfascinating thing. And we were talking about
this because one of our coworkers hasjust started dating this new guy and she
goes, he's one hundred percent GoldenRetriever Energy. He fits me perfectly,
and I don't think I've ever datedsomeone like that, which would mean I've
had a lot of failed relationships. Is there some sort of imbalance there though?
Is there something off about that inthe sense that, like, well,
(14:39):
what about their needs and they're onesand all those things that come along
with being them. I mean, you do like the US black cats still
do that. It's just at thebaseline, it's like regular cats. When
you want food, you'll be nice, right, but like we're gonna go
and die on our own and notmake a mess for you like black cat
energy. But here's the part ofit. The problem with like male black
(15:01):
cat or a female gold golden retrieveris that means you really have and enjoy
something to chase, and that tendsto lead to an end of a relationship.
Have we thought about same animal marriages? For example, what if I
feel like my wife and I areboth a couple of Golden Retrievers just out
there having a great time, wouldyou say your marriage is successful? Yeah?
I mean I would you tone thetone down a little bit? Man,
(15:24):
I don't know who we're trying toexactly. I'm just said, like,
I can't think of I wouldn't splitthose those traits up to my Michelle
and I I would actually some peoplestill have some of the other person's traits.
It's just at your baseline. Youif you feel like you're in a
super wonderful, awesome relationship, oneof you is more of a Golden Retriever
(15:46):
and the other is more of ablack cat. Let's get a twist in
my head. This is gonna bemessing with my relationship at least for the
rest of this day. Shnidia, you agree, Like, do you agree
with this theory? Have you heardblack cat Golden Retriever energy four five eight
one oh five seven do what doyou think you are Because a lot of
people have a problem. It's like, yeah, I don't mind it at
all. Chris knows we've been marriedfor ten years, we've known each other
(16:08):
for more than twenty. Is itvery aware that he had a black cat
on his hands? Is it becausethey you know, most people associate black
cats with being completely unlucky, Like, I'm sorry, but you're like,
oh, yeah, you're the blackcat in this relationship. I think it's
really just that we're very hard todeal with and you really have to dig
deep to love us. But whenyou do, pays off. We will
(16:30):
snuggle on you as long as youdon't too close or breathe too loud or
irritate us. So we're the bestas a parent. It doesn't feel good,
however, it happens, and weown our mistakes each and every week.
It's another all right. So wewere just talking about what you are
in a relationship and when it comesto parenting, I feel like you got
the pushover parent and like the policeofficers parent. So my husband is a
(16:56):
total pushover and I am confessing thison his behalf this morning. A lot
of days when he will drop willoffice school, he'll go to Big Be
for coffee. And Big Bee onFuller where he usually goes is right next
to a Jet's pizza. And ifthere's something you should know about my three
year old daughter who only goes threedays a week to school, she loves
(17:18):
loves pizza. So I got atext for my husband yesterday nine to twenty
seven am okay, stopped for coffeeafter school. Girl lost her ever loving
mind when I told her Jets wasclosed and we couldn't get any. Then
he sends me a picture of apizza and goes So nine thirty in the
morning, I'm buying a take andbake from Meyer. I'm like, you
(17:42):
can't give in this three year oldruns our lives. Confess you guys got
a pretty big backyard now that you'rein your new place. All right,
Well that's good because I have afeeling you're gonna have a stable, a
horse, anything else you're s She'sgone for a new car, she's gotten
a newcox. That's all badies musicand all the gossip in one place.
(18:07):
It's the celebrities gup on Star oneoh five point seven. Well, I
don't know if any of you havewatched the new Netflix documentary yet, Dancing
for the Devil. It's number oneon the list. I just wrapped it
up yesterday. It's wild. Thedocumentary says that certain TikTok stars have found
their way into a cult in California. Apparently Robert Shin is his name.
(18:30):
He's the founder of something called theChakaina Church, but he's also a manager
of seven M Films, And apparentlythis has been a cult. It is
crazy, and one of the bigstars at the center of that is Miranda
Derek millions of followers online, whohas officially spoken out for the first time
yesterday, sharing to her Instagram yesterdayafternoon. A short update. Hey guys,
(18:55):
I hope you're having a wonderful day. I just wanted to hop on
here really quick and first of all, say thank you so much to everybody
who's been so supportive during this time. In the next couple slides, I've
included my statement of this documentary that'sjust been released. I can't go into
too much detail because of legal purposes, but I just wanted to add my
side of the story a little bit. Thank you so much for taking a
(19:15):
read. Have a great day.Hi. So the big part of this
is that Miranda and her sister Melanieused to be these huge dancing TikTok collaborators,
and Miranda stayed in this call. Her parents have been fighting. They
live in Detroit, She's from Detroit. Her parents and her family have been
fighting to try and get her out. They've even tried to take legal action.
(19:37):
A few of these slides say thingslike I love my dad, my
mom, Melanie, They'll forever bea part of my life. The truth
is we just don't see eye toeye at this time. I believe this
documentary is a one sided story.I gave my life to Jesus Christ in
twenty twenty and asked my family forspace so I could collect my thoughts and
process my new walk with God.I also told my sister I wanted to
continue are Wilki sister's social page. She locked me out of our account.
(20:03):
When I asked for access, shedenied, kind of went on and on
about how all the claims about abuse, brainwashing, none of that is true.
But when you watch this documentary,it is wild. It's crazy to
kind of think about even Schwedti.I mean that something could be taken this
yearously. I already think that alot of TikTokers are basically at a cult
already, but this is to anotherlevel, obviously. So you can see
(20:26):
her full statement if you have watchedthat at West Michigan Star dot Com.
Oprah Winfrey sharing a Pride Month messageon her Oprah Daily Instagram yesterday for the
first time really talking in depth aboutlosing her brother back in the eighties.
Thirty five years ago that my youngerbrother, Jeffrey Lee, died from AIDS.
(20:48):
He was twenty nine years old.The year was nineteen eighty nine,
and the world was an extremely cruelplace, not just for people suffering from
AIDS, but also for LGBTQ peoplein general. I often think if he'd
lived, he'd be so amazed athow much the world has changed, that
there actually is gay marriage and aPride Month. How different his life might
(21:15):
have been had he lived in thesetimes, in a world that saw and
appreciated him for who he was, rather than attempting to shame him for his
sexuality. She had a lot ofpowerful things to say, including what she
believes is a right for everyone. At the end, she just hoped that
you felt supported. My hope foryou is that you are living a life
(21:38):
that feels authentic to you and thatyou have the support around you to do
so. I mean, she isgetting so much praise in the comments this
morning. That's the Oprah we alllove, right, the authentic one that's
not trying to hawk something else outthere in terms of products, to somebody
who's opening up like that. Andfinally, I know we've all been hoping
for new Rihanna music, but fromwhat I can tell, girlfriend is still
(22:00):
busy being a billionaire entrepreneur. She'slaunching a new hairline, now expanding her
billion dollar fenty beauty empire. Sheshowed off a short, blonde, cropped
mullet and a colorful new commercial onher Instagram Fentie Hair, which will officially
(22:22):
launch next week on June thirteenth. She's excited about this, she said,
You've been waiting, and I'm gonnado it all straight, permed, curled,
braided. This collection will be allthat you need. No, Rihanna,
I haven't been waiting for my curledor straighten or anything else. I've
been waiting for new music for liketen years. Down now I'm good.
I'm gonna take the fenty hair. It's like a really really great commercial.
(22:42):
Got that up with your scoop atWest Michigan Star dot com. The Battle
of the Sexist could land you overat Pine Nod this summer for what's going
to be an awesome concerts for Yeah, imagine Dragons bringing their loom World tour
to Pine Nod this August. Youhave today's number one answer. You've also
got yourself tickets to that show. One hundred women surveyed. Name a machine
(23:03):
people use at the gym. Ibarely know how to use any of the
machine. Does does a vending machine? Counch MINTI because I can rock man
botch six one six four five eightone oh five seven, all right.
One hundred women's surveyed name a machinepeople use at the gym? Caller seven,
first chance at the number one answer, and you're headed to imagine dragons
(23:26):
with star one oh five point seven. Good morning star. Who's this?
This is Kristen? Said Kristen.Yeah, Kristin, where are you calling
from this morning? I'm calling fromdowntown Grand Rappid. All right, Christin?
How old are you? I'm twentyfive, twenty five? All right,
here we go, Kristen. Onehundred women were asked to name a
(23:47):
machine that people use at the gym. Now, what do you think?
Their top answer was there, christThe first thing that comes to mind is
treadmill. Now do you work outyourself? You go to the gym,
ever, not as off and asI should. I think that's true for
all of us. What's your favoritemachine? Just out of curiosity, what's
the thing when Kristin hits the gym? What are you go into? I
do the elliptical? Oh, youdo the elliptical. I do too,
(24:10):
because whatever it is about the elliptical, it's so much easier than running.
It's not even close. I cango forever on an elliptical. Put me
on a treadmill and I'm you know, grabbing air, gasping for air.
After like three minutes, it's pathetic. Congratulations, Kristin's treadmill is the top
answer. Oh, yes, goodthing you didn't go with that, because
(24:33):
elliptical machine was the number two mostcommon answer. Then the weight machine,
stationary bike, staremaster, which soundslike my own personal hell, and then
rowing machine, rounding out those topanswers. Congratulations, thank you so much.
You are very welcome. You're goingto imagine dragons at Pine Knob this
summer. That's gonna be an awesomeshow. Kristin, Oh my gosh,
(24:53):
I'm so excited. Yes, we'lldo it again. Spot on the chance
to win when we played Battle ofthe Sex is every weekday eight fifteen right
here on star point seven. Feelgood variety of the eighties till now.
And I know today my last dayof school for the kidd Oh schmidty mine,
get done. Your son wraps upkindergarten tomorrow. Yep. Unbelievable And
(25:17):
of the school year. We can'tlet you out without one more spelling test
because we just had the script's NationalSpelling Bee. By the way, do
you see the end of that, like shut it was a robot oo.
Kids that can spell, I don'tunderstand it. However, I'm an adult
who can't spell, and we gota lot of them in this country because
Google released their list of the toptrending how to spell words from each state.
(25:37):
So this is people putting it inlike how do you spell blankety blank?
And there is, honestly schmidty, some absolutely incredibly dumb ones that I
am blown away by. First off, let's look at Virginia that has all
of four letters they asked to spellthe word said, I've seen it as
ed, I've seen it. Yeah, I'm sorry, Rock. That's embarrassing.
(26:00):
Virginia. That is embarrassing. You'vegot some other weird ones on there.
How about the state of Utah doesn'tknow how to spell Mississippi schmidty?
I mean there, I don't feellike Utah is very friendly with any of
the others. Do with that one, as you were a little kid.
Apparently not in Utah. Apparently notin Utah. There are some amazing ones.
(26:22):
I'll put these up at West MichiganStar dot com. Schmitty. But
I thought in honor of this Iwould give you a spelling test to mark
the end of the school year basedon some of these words that have had
a problem in each state. AndI'm going to juice this up for you,
Schmitty. I feel pretty confident Iwas a good speller. If you
get more than three of these correct, I will buy you coffee any day
(26:42):
you choose next week from our friendsdown the street over at Big Man,
because we can run down there inreturn. If you get less than three,
the next time your hobby makes oneof those runs, I get a
bagel. Okay, you down therefor this? Yeah, all right,
I want the coach, all right, So here we go. Schmidty will
start with the word out of Texas. This one's actually kind of tough.
Physique physique Latin origin d h ys I q u E wow off the
(27:11):
bat. That's pretty good. Thatis mad. I feel very good about
I'm actually dreading this now, okay, Schmitty, uh Kentucky. This is
one that our people on Facebook putalways gets them and I do this too.
Definitely, definitely definitely d E FI N I T E L Y
(27:32):
jez o P smitty too in arow. All right, Okay, think
this one you get wrong? NewYork. This one is so New Yorky
aesthetic spell esthetic for a E ST H E T I C jesu P.
This is so stupid. All right, thank you TikTok for the record.
(27:53):
I'm getting that one wrong, forsure, I think on there.
Okay, this one I would havegot wrong for sure. Why, Schmidty,
Corduroy. That's a hard one.Quarter role c O U r D
O R O Now no, cO r D you are o Y know
(28:15):
you in the beginning. At leastshe got one wrong, Schmidti. Here
we go, your fifth and finalone. The state of Maryland directly below
this other state, but can't spellit Pennsylvan, Pennsylvania P E n N
S y l v A N IA. You have done it. Here
yourratulations. I feel good about Americaafter this. Honestly, there's some really
(28:38):
really interesting wars in there. Okay, So, Schmidty, Michigan's word that
we can't spell, cousin. Howis it cousin? I feel like that
should be like Mississippi or Alabama's prefaceby the words can you marry? But
like Michigan and the word cousin,the O, U, S I N
and the best chicken in West Michigan. Well, I'm spedding coffee from Big
(29:00):
B coming to you. Yeah,it's true. Nobody in America can spell.
Sometime, does I get a goodfeeling? All right, let's put
a little positivity into your Wednesday morning. Macka smiddy with feeling good on Star.
Well it's back, thankfully after threeweeks. The classic car stolen right
(29:25):
off the side of four ninety sixin Ingham County has been reunited with its
owner. So let's go back abit. Here's the deal. This was
a very important classic car. Becausethis was a classic car that was a
huge gift thanks to Make a Wish. Josh Agnello is his name. He
has cystic fibrosis and this classic carthat had been in his family four years,
(29:47):
a nineteen sixty eight Board Galaxy, was totally restored and surprised with Agnello
thanks to make a Wish. Well, just three weeks ago he got a
flat tire and and he left iton the highway to go and get help.
Some ebjacked it. It was awful. He had talked to friends,
neighbors. Eventually news organizations found outabout this. It meant so much to
(30:11):
him and his family. They werereally hoping that this would turn back up.
Thankfully, yesterday morning, the IngaCounty Sheriff's office responded to a tip,
offered some hope, and indeed foundthe car at a residence covered in
a tarp. Thanks to Mullins Towing, they actually brought the car right back
to Agnello's family, completely free ofcharge. He was talking to Fox forty
(30:32):
seven about how thankful he is.I can't thank everyone enough. It's amazing,
and there are great people out thereall over and I appreciate everyone.
Oh, and enjoy that car.Now there's a few dings, it does
have a missing battery, but Joshis just thrilled that came back in one
piece and he can work once againwith his family on getting it back to
(30:52):
where it was. Yeah, Imean, something so meaningful that had been
his family for that long. You'reso worried you're never gonna see it again,
and some anonymous tip comes in andsaves the day for you. That's
awesome, beautiful, all right, she beddy. Let's head to North Dakota's
bad lands right now. A rarefossil was found there by some teens two
years ago. Brothers Liam and JessinFisher. They were only seven and ten
(31:15):
years old at the time. Theywere with their nine year old cousin Cayden,
and they were just going through NorthDakota's bad lands and Hikeen and they
were looking at the dirt and allof a sudden they found what they thought
were fossils, and so they showedthem. Eventually got their way to the
Denver Museum of Nature and Science.A dig site was set up and paleontologist
Tyler Lyson was there and not atfirst they thought it was like a plant
(31:37):
eating dinosaur, but then they unearthedt Rex teeth. Schmidty. These kids
found a Tyrannosaurus Rex that wasn't thatmuch older than them. They put it
at about thirteen to fifteen years old. So they nicknamed this guy teen Rex,
which is out there about sixty sevenmillion years ago. This thing roamed
the earth. However, this thereally cool part. So after they took
(32:01):
the bones and studied, they aremaking a documentary out of this schmidt that
is going to premiere in June atImax theaters across the country June twenty first,
and the trailer for t Rex thatlaughter you just heard right there,
(32:23):
that was. That was actual footageof the boys finding the dinosaur. The
entire thing is based around their journeyand their story of finding teen Rex's bones
in the bad lands of North Dakotahu June twenty first Imax June twenty first
Imax theaters around the country. Butpretty amazing. And that's what we get
for you every day. Incredible storiesgoing on in our world because they're all
(32:45):
around you when you're looking for it. We'll do it again tomorrow six forty
