(00:02):
Wake up. It gets my daygoing and makes me laugh. I love
it. Mac and Schmidty in theMorning on Star one oh five point seven.
Welcome morning, SCHMITTI much quieter morning, and what you were waking up
to yesterday, which I know fora lot of people is a very thankful

(00:23):
thing today movies, music and allthe gossip in one place. It's the
Celebritiescoop on Star one oh five pointseven. Well, it was very shocking
news shortly after our show ended yesterdaywhen the news was confirmed that Crazy Town
frontman Shifty shell Shock had passed away. If you don't recognize the name,

(00:44):
you know the song if you lovedthe late nineties early two thousands lots of
success with this band is very interesting. Apparently someone showed up to Shifty's La
home Monday afternoon. We found hisbody on the floor. Source to say
some paraphernalia was found near the body, which is why a possible cause of

(01:06):
death maybe an overdose according to investigators. As that investigation is ongoing, it's
really really sad. Seth, hisreal name, had recently announced he was
sober. He was on a seriousjourney to better himself. Only forty nine
years old. This is Brett Maser. He is the manager former manager of
the band actually formed Crazy Town.Last time I spoke to Seth was about

(01:29):
two to three months ago. Hewas in good spirits. You know,
we still have to talk. Imean, though I have not been a
part of the band for over tenyears, we did amazing things together.
We had a lot of success together. And he seemed excited about about a
bunch of stuff he was working on. So yeah, you know, it's

(01:51):
hard to tell. Sometimes seems likethe people close to him are equally shocked.
The coroner will now determine cause andmanner of death. Forty nine Ye,
Kevin Costner about out of Yellows Yellowstoneto avoid the drama, and he's
not talking about the show's scripts.Seems to be taken yet another swipe at

(02:13):
the show, talking to the HollywoodReporter, saying he just needed to leave
that drama behind. It wasn't tough. It was a necessary decision to say
that, Okay, this is youknow, I don't want to really talk
about this anymore. It's time tomove on. I gave this thing five
seasons. I was really happy todo it, and I don't need drama.

(02:36):
So let's just take that drama away. Let's take the guessing. The
fans have been way too good tome, and my obligation is to go
on and continue to make things thatmean something to them. Remember, there
were tons of rumors, including conflictingschedules drama that he had with co creators
on the show, that he wasa big problem for production. Here he's

(02:57):
saying, there was just so muchany other forms of drama and conflict,
it's not worth my time. I'mout. I mean, it's Kevin Costner,
ladies and gentlemen. He can bewhatever the heck he wants at this
point in life. I'm actually justsad for Yellow Still fans that are hoping
or waiting for some site. Heain't coming back. He's never going to
be coming back to that show. Finally, Jeremy Renner's near fatal snowplow accident

(03:23):
last year has truly taken a tollon his career. He's admitting it's limited
the type of work he can dothese days because he is still seriously healing.
The actor was on the SmartLess podcasttalking about how hard it is to
try and be in a fake worldwhen he's still reeling from such a serious
reality. You know, I wasvery terrified to get because I'm to do

(03:46):
like in fiction, like I'm stilltrying to live in reality, trying to
live right. So it was itwas a hard line for me to cross
cut real and then your job isto be fake. Yeah yeah, yeah,
so's wow, man, it was. It was a big stretch.
It was very very challenging for mementally to get to get over that hump
to like and I still struggle itsometimes and like, I don't I don't

(04:08):
take it super seriously. And I'min a character that I can do very
well and I know the show verywell, so it was easy for me
to kind of slide back into it. But it was a very challenging role.
I would I couldn't have taken it. So he's talking about Mayor of
Kingstown there where he is continuing.Season three is going to return in January,
but talking about future roles and alot of fans are talking even the

(04:29):
Marvel universe. Will he be ableto handle it? We're not sure.
The good thing about that is likein the Marvel universe, you can be
totally beat up and you know, like left for dead, and that could
be part of the story like that'sthat's totally okay. In the Marvel universe,
all of your celeb scoop, butWest Michigan start out sometimes does get
a good feelings total fine point seven. It's Mack and Schmidti feeling good right

(04:51):
now. When we use this segmentto show that there's good always happen out
there even when tough things are goingon. And that was definitely true yesterday
when those wig storms rolled their waythrough West Michigan, and today the cleanup
continues in the stories from neighbors helpingeach other round keep coming through. This
a great one on a Muskigon asAlexis Castillo, she was driving to work
about six am yesterday when those stormsrolled through northeast Miskeigan. Before she knew

(05:15):
it, she was actually pinned undera fallen tree with her two kids,
ages two and four. In ascary situation, she described, a thirteen
on your side and I heard abig crack noise and then the tree just
fell on top of my car.It went through the sunroof, having so
fast. The first thing I didwas yelled both their names. One was

(05:36):
crying, the other one just screamedthat he was okay. As you can
imagine, just an absolutely terrifying situation, and they were trapped in this vehicle.
Luckily for them, one of theirneighbors heard the tree come down.
Kelly Jacobs is her name, andshe rushed to Castillo's car and saw this
scene. Not only did she pullthem out, but she brought the family

(05:59):
into her home and she told thirteenon your side, you know what,
she was just doing what she hopesother people would do in the same situation.
Well, we didn't know what wewere going to see at first.
When we got there. Definitely anangel was watching her. They took us
into their house, fed my kid'sbreakfast, and they were shivering, and
I tried to get their mind offeverything, and they were worried about mom,
and so I just fed them somefood. We were going to just

(06:19):
head out and work and clear upthe other roads. At the other end
of Pillon there's elderly We know he'rdown that way and we want to make
sure it cleared for any emergency vehiclesthat need to get through to them.
I just hope that there are peoplelike ourselves out there helping their neighbors and
stuff out. Even though you don'thave to know them to help out.
Just go ahead and give them ahand and pay it forward. It's right,
that's right, Just go ahead andgive them a hand. What a

(06:42):
neighbor, Kelly Jacob bringing the kidsinside, beating them breakfast. Try.
We live in West Michigan. Canyou think of anyone you know here that
wouldn't do that? No, youknow what, You're one hundred percent rush.
I live here. Love that fifteenyear old, don you two?
And sixteen year old that Niche Patelspend their spare time volunteering to help other
nonprofits raise money. That's what theirnonprofit does. They're two members of Key

(07:04):
to Finesse. It's a little different. This organization is entirely led by middle
school and high school students from themetro Detroit area and the goal is simple,
helps support those in need by justasking people to donate to their cause.
To sat down with Fox to explainwhat that means. So what we

(07:26):
do is we go to these events, some of which you'd never heard of.
We call these organizations. We kindof have on table prices and we
are there and basically what we dois we give a short pitch about Keida
Finesse, about the charity that we'resupporting. The charity they decided to support
last year was a very important one, The Abbey Shop Foundation. It's an
organization that supports kids in foster care. So how successful is something like this?

(07:50):
Last year we were able to raiseover one hundred and sixty thousand dollars.
Wow. Yeah, even the reporterslike okay, so super successful.
Key to Finesse this year has theireye set on variety. It's a nonprofit
raising money for kids who need prostheticbody parts. Again, the best part

(08:11):
of this it's all middle school andhigh school students in Detroit. This is
incredible. You want to learn howlearn more? It's Key to Finesse and
help their efforts. I'm feeling good, Kim Zachie a couple times a day.
I always here to tell you aboutamazing people doing great things, especially
when they happen in our community,in our state. And we'll do it
again for you. Coming up nineto twenty on Star Wine five forty seven

(08:31):
movies, music, and all thegossip in one place. It's the celebrities
Goop on Star one oh five pointseven. Well Gail King, CBS This
Morning Host stand of Course BFF ofOprah continuing to stick by another friend of
hers, Justin Timberlake, through hisd WI drama slamming canceled culture. She

(08:54):
was caught in New York yesterday. No, I said, I don't see
him to be an irresponsible person,right I don't. But I also I
was in no way saying drunk drivingis okay, and I also made that
clear. But nobody picked up onthe rest of the sentence. Right,
Well, I don't think. Idon't consider him reckless or irresponsible. Was
that a bad thing? Did hemake a huge mistake? Yes, I

(09:16):
think he acknowledged that. But we'realways so quick to cancel and criticize anytime
somebody makes a big mistake. I'mjust sort of tired of that, that's
all. I can't even say that. You know, he and I are
great friends, But I just thinkhe made a mistake. It was wrong,
and he knows that. But doI think of him as reckless and
irresponsible? Generally speaking? There areother people I do. I wouldn't put

(09:37):
him in that category. That's alwayssaying. But I'm never ever, ever
excusing drunk driving. His lawyer,of course, indicated Justin plans to fight
the charges We will see him nextfor a court date on July twenty six.
You know, it's interesting. Iguess it's just because in life we
all know good people who make massivelybad decisions, and sometimes I think she
made a great point about the cancelculture. Yeah, ah, this is

(10:00):
interesting. People Magazine reporting yesterday thatlaw enforcement officials in LA believe multiple people
will be charged in the death ofFriends actor Matthew Perry. It was reported
at the time of his death thatPerry was undergoing ketamine infusion therapy in December
of last year. A medical expertsspeculated that the actor had likely obtained ketamine

(10:24):
illegally for recreational use, and eventhough Matthew was undergoing this treatment for anxiety
and depression at the time of hispassing, his autopsy report noted that the
ketamine and his system at death couldnot be from that infusion therapy. We
have seen this in quite a fewhigh profile OD cases, where law enforcement
will go after as many individuals asnecessary who may have given him this,

(10:46):
and at least it seems reading thisPeople Magazine report that that is exactly what's
going to happen. You know,we heard reports last week Shminni that we
reported on en Scoop of them talkingto anonymous female celebrities. Yea, if
he met in rehab. They actuallysearched her room and a sober living facility,
didn't find anything. She was totallycooperating, but you could tell that

(11:07):
they were serious about figuring out whogave him that kedemy. Finally, yesterday
was the twentieth anniversary of the famousmovie The Notebook, and it did come
with a very bittersweet announcement. JennaRowlands, who of course played Older Alli,
is indeed battling Alzheimer's herself in reallife. So if you didn't know

(11:30):
this, Jenna's son, Nick Cassavenez, was also the director of the Notebook.
He was the one that shared thenews yesterday with Entertainment Weekly celebrating the
twentieth anniversary. He said, Igot my mom to play Older Ali,
and we spent a lot of timetalking about Alzheimer's and wanting to be authentic
with it. And now for thelast five years she's had Alzheimer's. She's

(11:52):
in full dementia and it's so crazy. We lived it, she acted it,
and now it's on us. Hestill seems very, very very positive,
though Even though the movie maybe hittinga bit too close to home for
Jenna and her loved ones, he'sthrilled it still holds up two decades later.
He knows how many people are dealingwith exactly what his family is dealing
with, and he hopes that theycan find some peace in this movie.

(12:15):
So really sad to hear though,Yeah, I mean, alzheimer is a
thing. That's just a tough diagnosisfor any family. All of your celeb
scoop at West Michigan start off ongood morning to you. It's Mack and
Schmidty and then speaking of feel goodSchmitty. It's weird the things that start
making you feel good as you getolder, right, Yeah, like anti
inflammatory medication, a new mattress, especially if it's like a warm and cooling

(12:39):
I had the moment the other day, you guys. Sometimes there's just a
purchase you make that literally ten yearsago you would never have imagined would light
your life up the way it has. We finally got our new garage door.
Oh yes, you guys have heardme talking about Discount Door. I've

(13:01):
worked with them for the last coupleof years, and they came out to
the new house and this thing isgorgeous. It's like this sandstone. We
got to pick through all of thesedifferent colors and like a catalog. Then
we got these archway windows along thetop. It's got this close play clo

(13:22):
pey, It's got this brand newMYQ. It hooks to my phone.
Literally, I am standing in myfront yard on the verge of tears because
I'm like, babe, it justchanges the curb apeal so incredibly much like
house Honey, I was losing it. Trist interest In is the one that
came out and did our install andI'm like standing there watching him. He's

(13:43):
like, everything okay. I said, I'm just so excited for my new
garage door. I am in ahuge like Snapchat group with all of our
really good friends and I like sentthem a picture afterwards and I was like,
you guys have got a new garagedoor. I don't know if I
got that many responses when I hadmy children, Like my my buddy MAT's

(14:05):
like wow, what a good coloredchoice, and my friend Megan is like,
who did it? I really havebeen thinking about doing my garage door.
And then Jeremy's like it just changesthe entire home. And I'm like
discount door. I love you atthe same time you have shown me girl
is in her late thirties and itis on display. You know what I

(14:26):
mean. Girl, I'm glad youtold your friends all age appropriate, because
you tell anyone this in their twentiesand they just look at you like you're
on. I know you're stupid. It's like, bye, I feel like
a minute ago, I was twentytwo and drinking jungle juice in a strange
fraternity basement. Your garage door haddens in it. You didn't care,
And now I'm like, ooh, what is There's some like insulated rating on

(14:52):
this thing. And Chris is like, oh, so you're telling me I
am going to be able to likehang out in my garage in the wintertime.
Tristan's like, I mean, man, you maybe get a little space
heater. It's gonna be cozy. And I'm like, oh, a lot
of time to be alive. Withthe garage door technology, we're practically any
square footage, Babe. What ishappening? I can top it. I

(15:13):
can top that. Smiddy, becauseI've talked to you about this. First
off, I want to say I'mglad that it wasn't just me. You
know you're getting old too when youget excited for somebody else about their girls.
Oh my gosh, I can't waittill I'm gonna post. I'm doing
a whole video about it. II just got this stuff called grow Tracks,
which is like grass seed. Okay, it just roll out grass seed.
And I have literally been watching thegrassgrow for like two Yeah. I

(15:39):
got home from trip to Ohio overthe weekend. I didn't go inside,
I didn't grab stuff. I walkedover to the two spots on the lawn
that I hadn't seen in two days, just to see how much the grass
had grown. I have literally becomea stereotype of an old person. I'm
watching paint dry, I'm watching grassgrow, and I am so excited to
do it. I saw a memejust yesterday and it said all of us

(16:02):
millennials skipping right past our midlife crisisand just going into glorified grandmother's page.
True, it's like I've got asquirt bottle from my indoor plans. Just
to make sure you know they're allat peak performance. What happened, y'all?
We used to be cool six onesix, four five eight one oh
five seven go ahead and admit thepurchase that finally made you realize woof Oh,

(16:26):
I'm old you know what, AndI dig it if I have to,
if I ask you, if Isay to you, if I do
you have a men? Do youhave any piece of gum? And you
pull out some random minty hard pieceof candy out of your purse, I'm
just getting call a rap like that'show I'll know for sure. Workers down
the hall has a ten of altoys in his work bag. Please,
it's not where those originals. Yeah, you're there stilling a fine point seven

(16:47):
Mac and Schmidty screwing up his parents. Really just so that we could make
you guys feel better about your parentingstyles. That's what it is. It's
another so you guys know. Iwas off all last week week up in
Traverse City for our huge family vacation. Everybody goes my entire like extended family,
and it's a nice week. Itwas a hot week, very similar

(17:10):
to down here. So understand,I'm on vacation. I'm gonna head down
to the dock, put up mychair in my book, and I'm gonna
have my beverage. My friends whoowned the place that we were staying at
have these really cool like yetti insulatedthings for your cans, so it keeps
your can cool all all the time. So I had my bevy in there

(17:30):
and I went up to grab somethingto eat. It was really wendy,
so all of my stuff started slidingdown the dock, blue off beach,
towel, book chair, everything, including my beverage, which happened to be
a high Noon alcohol. I wasmore concerned with losing the yetti beverage thing,
right, because I bet those aren'tshe They're thirty bucks, I know
exactly. Yeah, yeah. SoI see this happen and I'm running down.

(17:52):
I'm like, oh no, andI see my six year old son,
like victorious right, and he's walkingup onto the beach holding my high
Noon and he's walking on the dock. He's so sweet. He's putting all
my things back into order. Mysister in law caught my chair and got
everything, and I was like,oh my gosh, that was wild.
And as these kayakers are coming downthe lake, will turns to me and

(18:19):
he goes, no worries, Mom, I swam without my life jacket to
save your nooner. He called ita nooner fur kid is the best read
Kayakers, and I'm like, youknow what, off the clock? Confess
your sun is? Is he six? Yeah? He's say he's six years

(18:41):
old. He talks like he's twentysix and ready for a round a hackey
shack. No worries mom, Hesad is everybody's dream, movies, music,
and all the gossip in one place. It's the celebritiescoop on Star one
oh five point seven oo. ArianaGrande getting some backlash after admitting who her

(19:04):
dream dinner guest would be. SoAri was on Penn Badgeley's pod Crushed podcast,
admitting that back when she was juststarting out her career, she was
at a Q and A with youngfans and was asked a certain question that
came back to honor if you couldhave dinner with anyone living and dan,
who would it be? And Iwas like, oh, you're so cute

(19:26):
who mom and dad? Is itokay if I give the real answer?
And they were like sure, Iguess what's the answer? And I was
like, I've been Jeffrey Dahmer's prettyfascinating. I think I would have loved
to him, like, you know, maybe with a third party or something,
but I have questions, I wantto, I have a lot to

(19:47):
I don't know, I would loveto, and their parents were like,
we'll explain it later, and Iwas like, I'll just sing problems and
go, yeah, I'd like tohave dinner with serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.
Ari says at the time she wasso young, she didn't really understand what
all he truly did. But ofcourse a lot on the internet just think

(20:11):
it was super disrespectful to the familiesof the victims, especially after they've just
gotten over. How disgusted and behindthe move to get that Netflix special taken
off of the service as well.It was just in really bad taste.
That was a long time ago, though, right, I mean she was
like a teenager. She was rightat the start of her curse. This

(20:33):
might have still been like Disney Channeldays too. Yeah answer. Billy Ray
Cyrus is pushing back against his estrangedwife's claim that he abandoned their marriage just
one day before her scheduled double mestectomy. Billy filing a legal response to those
allegations, claiming the surgery was scheduledfor June sixth of last year, not
May twenty fourth, as she alleged, and he said it was a calculated

(20:57):
career move. He claims she saidto him, if you think about divorcing
me right now, I'll tell everyonethat you did it because of the double
mass ectomy, and your career willbe over. Billy Ray also alleges that
she didn't have cancer during their timetogether, nor did she show any early
signs of cancer, and claims heonly learned about it after the marriage.

(21:18):
Well, Fire Rose has responded. Her rep says Billy Ray's story keeps evolving.
This filing is simply another abusive tacticto distract away from the serious,
true allegations brought against him, backedby an abundance of evidence. The only
individuals supporting his false claims are thoseon his payroll. Good this thing that's
getting messier faster than I thought itwould. You know, you marry a

(21:41):
woman named fire Rose, you expectthe passion and you expect the thorn.
Smiddy, There's nothing else to it. Finally, Katie Perry gave fans a
sneak peek of that new music she'sgoing to be dropping yesterday during Paris Fashion
Week. Did you see this? She stepped out of her limo in a
red dress with an un believably longtrain that had lyrics to her new song

(22:06):
Woman's World printed on it. It'shard to read them. Of course,
this is going to drop on Julyeleventh, with the music video coming out
the next day. This is alsointeresting timing. This is the song Katy
Perry worked on with Doctor Luke.Remember yesterday I had the not so friendly
reaction from Kesha over Katy Perry workingwith Doctor Luke, and it seems she's

(22:26):
pretty unaffected by that as the wayshe showed up at Paris Fashion Week yesterday.
Well, and that's just weird too, because it's a song called Woman's
World Smitty that's in you know aboutempowerment and you know, being a strong
woman, and you've got an abuserhelping. Yeah, this song, I
just I can't stand this guy andhow hypocritical this whole thing is for Katie.
Yeah, all of your celeb scoopat West Michigan Star dot Com stah,

(22:48):
I want to five point seven mackaSmitty with you inities time to battle
Battle of this Sex is looking toget you over to the Henry Ford Museum

(23:12):
a reason men give for going bald? All right, there's a big hint
for all of you right now, because I can't believe that it's not even
on the top answers here. Schmiddy, the word kids is not on the
top answer list here because dads don'tlose hair from their kids, the moms
do. Y'all get scott free withthat six one six, four five eight

(23:33):
one oh five seven faller seven, first chance at the number one answer.
One hundred men surveyed, Name areason men give for going bald? And
you're checking out Dinosaur's in motion atthe Henry Ford at star Win five point
seven scorning star. Who's this?Hi? This is Marissa, Marisa.
Where you coming from today? Iam on my way to a doctor's appointment

(23:56):
for my son. Oh fun, fun. You were like, should I
divulge his medical information? Or isthat against the law? You know,
I don't know, hipobit. You'reokay? We won't dive that deep butt.
However, I think any kid goingto the doctor, how about we
make sure that he gets hooked upwith a good time going over to the
Henry Ford to check out this newDinosaur's in motion exhibit. You, I

(24:18):
gotta tell me what. One hundredguys were asked a reason that men give
for going bald. What was theirtop answer? Ooh? Work? Yeah?
What? What? What specifically comesalong with work that might made you
lose your hair? Stress? Yeah? I mean slowly, but surely you're
freaking out, and then your hairstarts falling out and you get even more

(24:41):
stressed out, and then it fallsout faster, and it's this vicious cycle
of follicle torture and the next thing, you know, your bolt. Yeah
that's the top answer. Can answerstress? The sort? Can you got?
Eck? Yes you will. Dinosaursin motion over there, the brand
new exis is it? You guysare going to four tickets and will hopefully

(25:02):
get you hooked up tomorrow with stressfollowed by hereditary old age and then your
wife. Yes, always gotta findguys blaming their wife for something. Rounding
out those top answers, We'll doit again tomorrow Battle of the Sex is
every weekday here on star Win ohfive point seven. Good morning too,
It's Mack and Schmitty. And perhapsyou're doing multiple things right now, maybe

(25:25):
your multitask, and it's how weget things done anymore, Right, that's
all I do the whole time I'mhere. I was gonna say, like,
I think that any more, multitaskingis the norm. Yeah, as
opposed to just being focused on onething. It's very difficult to do that
these days. And so I wantedto know what your favorite way to multitask
is, or at least, what'sthe most ridiculous way you multitask six one
six four eight one oh five seven, Schmitty. You know, I play

(25:49):
a lot of poker, play alot of online poker. I'm about to
gout to Vegas for the Big WorldSeries Poker main event here in a couple
of weeks, and I am tryingto get into some other turn it's while
I'm out there, and that involvesplaying online a little bit. And so
I was in a tournament. Well, all right, so I'm in this
tournament on Monday. That is toget me into another tournament. Here's the

(26:11):
thing, though, I also neededto mow the lawn. It was really
really bad, and my wife wasMichelle's kind of like, hey, don't
forget we gotta get the lawn donetoday. Blah blah blah. Supposed to
rain tomorrow. Why don't you getthe lawn done? She says it a
few times. I'm like, look, I'm in the middle of this thing.
She's like, uh, you know, we gotta get the lawn done.
Go mow the lawn. I'm impressedthat you felt brave enough to say

(26:33):
I'm in the middle of this thingonline poker. She's been with me for
a long time. This has beengoing on here. So I decided to
hop on my riting mower while simultaneouslyplaying online poker spitting and it was not
as easy as I thought it wouldbe in my head. Sounds like the
worst possible idea. She was. She's like, I get done, all

(26:55):
right. Let me tell you mylawn has never looked worse in terms of
the lines of the ability to kystraight. Oh no, this one looks
like uh Stevie Wonder was possibly theone driving the mower as we went on
here, Schmitty, it is notgood. Meanwhile, as I'm like sitting
out there. I'm stopping every timeI've got these big like a big spot
or a big hand to play. And Michelle is worried every time she hears

(27:18):
the mower stop that like something hashappened. She is, Oh, you've
run over someone. She's like,She's like, I just kept thinking that
you were somehow going to be cuttingoff your toes, like something was gonna
happen because you weren't paying attention. You were going to drive into something.
The mower was gonna roll. She'slike, I'm having all these daymares about
it while you're just sitting on yourphone while driving this thousand pound tractor round.

(27:40):
That woman is an angel. Youknow what if I would have went,
I would have died doing two things. I love my lawn and playing
pokers. Yeah, I could gowith it sometime because I get a good
feeling. Well, it is humpday. We're giving a little more jews,
a little more guess to get overit. This week, it's feeling
good on sterleinal FONM point seven,Megage hanging out to Detroit police officers receiving

(28:03):
top honors after saving an eight yearold boy who was electrocuted by a live
wire. The two officers in Warrenhad the incident actually go down a couple
of years ago. When we firsttalked about this, it was August of
twenty twenty two, and it wasunbelievable. Warren Police Corporal Detective Daniel Rose

(28:25):
and Officer David Chapman will now berecognized by the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission for
their selfless courage when they had secondsto take action. The Carnegie Medal is
a prestigious honor awarded to those whorisk death or serious physical injury to an
extraordinary level to save or try tosave another life. Both officers understand what

(28:48):
a privilege and an honor this isbecause they've already received the Valor Award and
became Officers of the Year a fewmonths ago for their bravery in the same
incident. But now, oh,being recognized at such a high level is
wonderful, But it's still all aboutserving. As they remember that day,
well, I saw that wire.My first reaction was I gotta grab them.

(29:10):
I have to because I can't juststand here and watch them fade away.
And I gotta do something. AndI remember crouching down and I grunt
and it's not my body and painthat was my body saying this is a
really bad idea, and I justthought, I think you you're terrified.
I was terrified. I saw myselflaying there, I saw what could happen.
But you have to somehow you overcomethat. Like they say, you
run towards Dangel, we don't runfrom it. You run towards it,

(29:33):
not from it. A big congratulationsonce again to Warren Police corporal Detective Daniel
Rose and Officer David Chapman. Trueheros big time, much bitty Obviously.
Travis Kelsey's fame is skyrocketed since he'sbeen dating Taylor Swifts, but so has
his brother Jason, and the differencebeing that I feel like every time Jason
Kelsey's name gets mentioned, it's fordoing something super regular and yet amazing.

(29:56):
Yay, it's the better brother.I say it every time I do celebscoop
where it's of them ripping off ashirt and shugging a beer with fans or
making some kid's day. This isso cool. This has gone viral.
He was Jason was across the Pondin London for some of those shows at
O two Arena to watch Taylor Swift. Excuse me at Wembley and while he

(30:17):
was walking around on Wembley Way,he happened to spot a kid. Again,
this is London, no NFL teamsin London, but they were wearing
a Jason Kelsey Philadelphia Eagles jersey andhe wasn't gonna let a fan go unnoticed.
So his wife Kylie actually started videotapingas Jason sneaks up on this kid.

(30:41):
You can just see on his face. I'll post this video at West
Michigan Star dot com. But thekid's jaw hits the groungemitty. He is
speechless, has no idea what ishappening in that moment, and the whole
thing captured by his wife Kylie andthen posted by the boy's father just saying
just want to say a massive thankyou to Jason Kelsey if we did not

(31:02):
already know it, what a legendyou are, and for your wife to
record it. We will be forevergrateful for this interaction, even the shocket
caused. They also swapped friendship bracelet. That's pretty cool to move with that
too. You've gotta see this. It'll definitely put a smile on your face.
West Michigan Star dot com. Feelinggood always here to brighten things up.
We'll do it again tomorrow six fortyfive and nine twenty right here on

(31:22):
