year? Oh, I'm gonna sayMariah pretty close another song that is very
polarizing. That'd be like, butit's I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.

(01:33):
am, movies, music, andall the gossip in one place. It's
the celebrities Goop on Star one ohfive point seven. Well. Fans of
the HBO hit Euphouria will be thrilledto know finally, after a lot of
back and forth and some drama betweencast and director, the long delayed third

(01:57):
season is finally ready to shoot.Zenda and Euphoria director Sam Levinson have had
a bit of beef. Sam isalso the head writer and creator of the
show, and it was reported hetook serious issue with Zendeia focusing on her
movie career more than the hit HBOseries. The Hollywood Reporter said he just
thought it was all about her.As for Zendaia, she said Sam gets

(02:20):
some blame as well because he wasbusy working on another HBO show, The
Idol. She said it was reallyreally annoying to have to step up and
figure out how to make it workwhen he was so interested in making Idle
work with the Weekend. Of course, that show bombed after one season,
but it looks like everything is smoothedover. Everyone is back from the first

(02:42):
two seasons and they are ready toshoot. Hopeful production starts in January.
I mean, if I was thatdirector, I'd just be like, thank
you so much, then, dafor agreeing to come back and do you
for you. Lisa Kudrou isn't lookingback on all of her experience at Friends
as a half be one, revealingone thing that really really bugged her On

(03:04):
the Team Cocoa podcast, you wouldsay something and it would get a big
laugh, and it would irritate youbecause they were laughing for too long.
It wasn't it wasn't that funny. That's why it wasn't an honest response,
and it irritated me. Yeah, yeah, yeah, It's like, now
you're just ruining the timing of therest of the show. I mean there

(03:25):
are other lines I didn't say it. Sometimes I would just look out they'd
been laughing too long, and sometimesI would just look out and go come
on. She said the live studioaudience was not something she was ever really
down with, but she does admitthe rest of it was just a dream.

(03:46):
She in fact admits she is nowrewatching Friends without embarrassment for the first
time ever because she realizes it's somuch more about Matthew Perry than she ever
realized. That's really sweet to talkabout out. Finally, SpongeBob SquarePants is
autistic. That's right. Tom Kennyis the voice behind SpongeBob. The veteran

(04:09):
performer has been voicing him for years, and was recently at a comic con
event in Detroit where he took questionsfrom dedicated fans about the beloved Nickelodeon character
and said, absolutely, SpongeBob iskind of on the spectrum, really identified
with SpongeBob, and because SpongeBob's kindof on the spectrum too, is a
character. And this last comment Idid sound textism account texts. It was

(04:33):
the first time I'd ever been askedthis question of a person who's you know,
obviously on the spectrum, came upto me and said, I have
a question for you, Tom Kenny. Is fun job about chesty Wow?
Is SpongeBoy himsellar a logistic? AndI said yes, of course, I
said, of course you And Isaid, you know that's superpower the same
way it's your superpower. Really coolway of putting it. And fans were

(04:56):
already giving him tons of applause forjust being so inclusive on something like,
you know, that's one fan thathe's talking about there, but what he's
representing is literally hundreds of thousands offans exactly, so inclusive all of your
celeb scoop at West Michigan Star dotcom. Sometimes does that get a good
feeling? Well, let's put alittle positivity into this Wednesday morning feeling good

(05:17):
right now and starting on fine points. You having it's Maackagemitty with you,
and we all have experienced that justincredible feeling of reconnecting with somebody that you
used to be close to, youknow, and when it happens just by
chance, well that just makes itthe moment even more special. Right,
Well, this was so cool. Two old friends wanted up being reunited down

(05:39):
in Texas, all because of anuber ride. John Johnson booked an uber
from Dallas's University of Texas Southwestern MedicalCenter, and his driver, Danny Blanton,
picked him up. And you know, you do what you do with
your uber drivers. You know, you have your obligatory small talk causer daeco
and you know, busy, allthat kind of stuff. Pretty soon they
just felt a little bit of afamiliarity. There here we are, smit,

(06:03):
sorry about that. There we go, Yes, sir, always on
Friday, all over the place.Special name, her name, Danny.
I don't know you, you don'tknow me. Yeah. These two went

(06:26):
absolutely berserk when they realized that theyhad been friends for more than thirty years.
They had not seen each other sincethe late nineties, when Blanton was
working as a bartender. Meanwhile,Johnson was the head of security at a
Dallas nightclub. But these two hadshared so many years together as close friends.
Of The reunion allowed them to reminisceabout some of those times and share

(06:47):
some memories about loved ones, someof whom have passed away since then.
They were in their thirties back then, now they're in their fifties and sixties.
This is their first time getting backtogether, and they decided to put
that cool video online and people wentnuts just talking about how amazing it was
to see two people who genuinely caredfor each other that much to reconnect like

(07:09):
that. Over ten million views onthis on TikTok smitty and just a really
cool video I'll put up for youWest Michigan Star dot com. Well,
here's your excuse to head out towardsthe lake shore and check out Miskegan being
even more beautiful thanks to painting newmurals and revitalizing old ones. It's thanks
to Mischigan Public School students, includinga recent grad who have been spending their

(07:31):
entire summer every single day that theweather allows updating and painting new designs all
across downtown Muskegan. This is thanksto the Nancy K. Poppin Program This
is very Cool. Nancy Poppin andher husband Sherman founded this program in the
early nineties to help lower income familiesin Miskegan receive art lessons. Well,

(07:53):
today, more than sixty students fromthird grade to twelfth grade received weekly art,
music, or dance lessons throughout theyear and can sometimes get scholarships In
fact, Emma, a recent gradwho's now headed to GBSU taking part in
one of these murals, said it'sso nice to be able to leave a
legacy behind in your hometown. Andfor clear Root Benson, the program's executive

(08:16):
director, she tells what TV thecommunity itself just feels more positive. I
just hope it brings a little bitof joy and delight to everyone and that
they see something creative and innovative onthis corridor and in the other places where
Muskegan is redefining itself and creating agreat space for all, and it is
a really gorgeous space. The grouphopes that all the painting will be done

(08:37):
in the next couple of weeks,so head out to Miskegan. I mean,
how cool to be somebody who actuallyget to work on one of those
and then see it all the time. And she talked about legacy decades and
decades and decades. Yeah, verycool. Feeling good comes down to you
a couple times a day to tellyou about great things going on out in
our world. But we'll do itagain for you coming up nine to twenty
here on Stamino f Foyd seven Movies, music and all the gossip in one

(09:01):
place, it's the celebrities group onStar one oh five point seven. Well,
a very pregnant Hailey Bieber admits sheis not super close with her family
anymore. The model, expecting herfirst child with husband Justin Bieber, is
in a new interview with w magazine, saying I'm not close with my family
at this point in my life becauseI feel like I'm very independent. I

(09:26):
am my own individual now and Ihave built my own family. She goes
on to explain that it was agreat childhood, no bad blood here.
When she looks back on how shegrew up, she's very fond beautiful memories,
and despite her famous roots, Haleysaid she enjoyed a fairly normal childhood.
There were definitely some moments recently, though, where she wasn't super fond

(09:46):
of things her family did. Forinstance, that very cryptic post that came
from her dad, Stephen, wherehe asked fans to pray for her and
Justin. She did admit that angeredher a bit, but she's also so
talking about how fans have reacted toher and Justin. After being married for
the decent amount of time they havebeen she says she has actually gone to

(10:07):
therapy over figuring out how to blockout all the negativity, and she thinks
it's just really sad the fans arestill coming at them, making up rumors
about trouble in their marriage, thetwo not getting along outside sources being a
problem, where they're just two peoplein love, really excited to start a
family, you know, with yourfirst child. Hopefully she can rekindle some

(10:31):
of that relationship with her family alittle more. So. You're twenty seven,
you're gonna want grandma and grandpa theirbabysitting whenever possible. Will Grandpa are
go wanb be there? So youknow what if there's some issues on the
other side here, I say moreto them, like figure it out.
You don't want to not have accessto your grandkid. Tiger Woods gave the
public it's very first glimpse of hisleg after that horrific car crash back in

(10:56):
twenty twenty one. So Tiger generallywears a leg sleep whenever cameras are around,
since requiring multiple surgeries to fix allthe bones he broke in that wreck
in La more than three years ago, but he ditched that to follow his
son around. Charlie is in theUS Junior Amateur competition actually taking place at
Oakland Hills right outside of Detroit. Some insane scars. You can see a

(11:20):
zipper scar on the right side goesfrom the bottom of his knee all the
way past his angle. His otherleg has a deep mark that spans most
of the top of his cap.Remember, at one point doctors thought they
were going to have to amputate oneof his legs. Luckily not, and
he didn't seem to be bothered byit whatsoever. However, rough news for

(11:41):
his son Charlie, who did notdo so great at Oakland Hills shooting unfortunately
a twelve over eighty two, sohe's out. Yeah, a lot of
pressure there. But for Tiger,I mean, golfins just wish the guy
could be at the level that heonce was, obviously, but he's lucky
to be. I mean, thosescars are insane. They had. Netflix

(12:03):
series Bridgerton has officially made the announcementwe were all waiting for who will be
at the center of season four's lovestory, and yes we get Benedict here.
We're faing you for sin I alreadyhave enough tonight. Oh no,
it's not for tonight, it's forthe mask ray Ball in that case,
Connor, Oh, that's right.Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson,

(12:30):
will be the next in the famedfamily to find love. The Treat teaser
trailer that Netflix dropped yesterday showed severalbig moments of his from the past three
seasons. But it'll be interesting. We still don't have any other kind of
lead on what this will look like. Have you been following along? Have
you watched each time? I'm totallyup today. You can't get it.

(12:50):
Michelle is like banking. She's gotlike two seasons ready to go in there,
and she's like, I can't waitto just sit down and binge bitch,
I got to catch up all ofyour Celebscoop. But West Michigan Star
dot Com. I'm back at Swittyand this is a perfect example of why
everyone should be forced to work aservice industry job at least once in their
life. Spitting it's just insane.I first saw this video pop from a

(13:11):
friend of mine a couple days ago. This unbelievable experience that went down at
Shorts Brewing Company, which is upnorth northern Michigan. And let's start by
saying like it's already summer in northernMichigan. It is so difficult sometimes with
these businesses dealing with tourists. Yeah, because when they're not locals, it
just seems like they have a differentattitude and a bit of a sense of
entitlement. And it started with thisguy who the Internet has discovered is Jason

(13:37):
Jones from Fife Lake. Oh wow, the internet got it. Oh.
I deep dove this over the lasttwenty four hours, and they found this
guy. And it started with himwriting this review about his time at Shorts.
He said, worst customer service I'veexperienced in a very long time.
He goes on to say they weresat at a table, then another couple
was sat with us. He says, no big deal, but then they

(13:58):
or replace their orders and food wasdelivered to the other couple first it was
their food. We waited more forour food only to have the wrong order
put in front of us. Thenhe goes on to say, we'd been
waiting an hour to be seated, forty five minutes for food. They want
us to wait longer. I toldthe waitress we wouldn't be eating the wrong
order. He's saying. They refuseto help in any single way. And

(14:20):
it was just terrible. So Shortssaid, you know, normally we wouldn't
do this, but we're going togo ahead and release video of what actually
happened. I love you, andyou see this waitress and this manager doing
everything they get. We're so sorry. You're right, this was a mix
up. Bets on us. We'verushed the order. We'll make this happen.

(14:41):
This guy is out of control,he stays. You can see him
start yelling at them. He's wavinghis arms around, by the way,
Worth pointing out, I don't knowif it was his wife or his girlfriend
that was with him. She's mortified. You can tell that she is just
so embarrassed this is happening. Eventually, he gets up out of his chair
scream some more. The couple sittingnext to them at the table is obviously

(15:03):
trying to help, like, heyman, calm down, it's fine.
He walks over, flips their pizzaoff the table so it spills everywhere,
and storms out of the restaurant,And so Shortz is like, this is
what actually happened. So please don'tcome at us and say this was the
worst experience ever. There is absolutelyno reason to act that way. To
anyone on our staff, especially whenwe were doing everything in our power to

(15:26):
make what happened right. The pizzaflip is impressive almost. I mean,
he sends this other couple's pizza sailinginto the airline. I love boiling watching
this video. I just thought backto all the times when you are dealing
with customers who are unruly like that. If you've ever been a server,

(15:46):
a bartender, a bus person, any any job where you have to deal
with customers who just get into thespace viti where there's no coming back,
it's like they're the incredible Hulk.Yeah, you wouldn't like them when they're
angry because they cannot understand reason, they have no sympathy. It's like I
have been wrong? Did I mustjust absolutely take it out on a person
who's what making three bucks an hourplus tips, who just didn't want to

(16:10):
make a mistake. I know ifthis person ended up apologizing. The video
has been removed, so I wasgoing to post the video. Shorts has
taken it off of their social mediasites. I noticed, so I posted
up the review. I noticed Robbiesaid something about us adding fuel to the
public dumpster fire, and I'm reallysorry Robbie, I think this guy should

(16:30):
be shamed. That was absolutely outof control. And based on the rest
of our listeners that have hopped inon this Facebook conversation, a lot of
people have had really awful customer serviceinteractions, and a lot of people have
brought up Northern Michigan in this summer. They say, Anna goes the restaurant.
The entire staff at the restaurant areamazing. We've gone there so many

(16:52):
times. If you don't want towait, if you don't want yourself to
not be center of attention, don'tgo up during primetime tour season and expect
to be seated in the first minute. I mean and that Toventually they came
out and we're like, we willbuy your pizza for you. We're not
gonna have you pay for this wrongfood. We can have it brought up.
Let's sit there and drink some shorts. It's some of the best beer
we get this. Have you everhad a bad customer interaction working food service?

(17:17):
Because I had lots of them.I've had a really, really bad
one. I worked at a shopand I will not name who it was,
and I had somebody come in andberate me for their order being wrong
and saying, I can't believe theylet women work here. That's why this
happens. Ah. Yes, Andthen he said my brain was so small,
I probably wouldn't know how to makethat even if the directions were right

(17:38):
in front. And it's so toughwhen you were working that job, SCHMIDI
begin, you know what, youcan't do anything. That guy was like
over fifty yeah, And I wantedto be like, bro, what happened
in your life that you need tocome in and tell us seventeen year old
senior in high school that she's toostupid to make food? Oh? You
made him feel so tough, right, I don't know six one six,

(18:02):
four five eight, one oh fiveseven. Maybe you've seen the story,
you've seen the video. I knowit was posted in a lot of places
every Wednesday. We just owned ourmistakes as parents, because frankly, if
you're not screwing up, you're nottrying very hard. It's another I did
think I had a few more yearsuntil I got the mom You're so embarrassing
card. But it's happened. Overthe weekend. My husband took my kids

(18:25):
camping up near Goose Lake. Reallycool campground by the way, good Tip,
and I decided to go and visitjust for the day because I had
to stay home watch the dogs, and so on Saturday we decided to go
out and fish, which is notreally my thing. If you've listened to
me for as long as you have, I'm happy to spectate, but I
just not really an unfish things.Somebody else's baby the hook. Yeah,

(18:45):
So my kids are all in onthis, especially will will adoors fishing,
especially with Chris. It's really coolto watch, and we're they're literally catching
fish for dinner. They were goingto eat this over the campfire, which
I also is very cool. Sothey're bringing in some crappie and some blue
gill and other stuff I don't know, and they're putting it in a bucket

(19:07):
of water, which is acting likethey're live well, and I didn't realize
that. So when I got onthe boat, I didn't know there was
already live fish sitting in this bucket. So I go to sit down,
and what I think is a fineseat, I knock my foot into this
thing, and all of a sudden, a flipper splashes the lid off and
I shriek. I shriek so loudyou can hear it across the campground,

(19:27):
like reverbing off the lake. Yeah, and like Chris whips around, our
buddy Mark whips around. They seewhat happened. And my six year old
looks right at me and he goes, Mom, it's just a fish.
You're being so ridiculous and embarrassing.Do you need to go back to the
beach? Oh? I wish it. It could have only been better if
he called you a land lubber inthat moment, Smittie. It's like a

(19:52):
bonding moment though for willing Chris though, right where they could just exchange glances
and be like, can you believethis lady? Wow? Hope we never
invite her fishing again. Oh darnmovies, music and all the gossip in
one place. It's the celebritiescoop onStar one oh five point seven. Well,
it took a couple of days, but George Clooney has officially thrown his

(20:15):
support behind Vice President Kamala Harris inher presidential bid. Of course, Clooney
was a big driver of President Biden, eventually announcing he would be ending his
reelection bid. After that big oped published in the New York times,
where he slammed him for continuing onColooney giving a statement to CNN that said,

(20:37):
we're all so excited to do whateverwe can to support Vice President Harris
in her historic quest. Things aregoing to be heaten up in this battle.
I noticed a lot of rhetoric yesterdaywith this time women saying, hey,
hold on, don't be voting forKamala just because she's a woman.
So that's my warning to all ofyou. It's going to be terrible for
the next three months. Keiana Reevessharing his candid thoughts on mortality and admits

(21:04):
he thinks about death a lot.The actor joined the BBC to promote a
new novel called The Book of Elsewhere, which follows an immortal character who is
eager to die, which explains whythe kind of morbid topic came up.
I'm fifty nine, so I'm thinkingabout death all the time, so very
young. I'm like, I'm youngold. I mean, I think thinking

(21:26):
about death is good. Hopefully itsensitizes to an appreciation of the breath we
have and the relationships that we havethe potential to have. I mean,
fifty nine is not old man,but I guess we're all thinking about death
somehow. I mean, I justcan't get Canu Reeves out of my head,
you know, from like Bill andTed's Excellent Adventure and then when he

(21:48):
talks like that has a big anniversarythe opposite. Yeah. By the way,
that book officially came out yesterday,if you want to grab it and
read. Okay, the big Olympicannouncements. Who Okay, I'm excited.
Selene Deal is performing at the openingceremony for the twenty twenty four Olympics in
Paris. That's right, Organizers haveannounced she will be taking the stage on

(22:11):
Friday. This is huge because thiswill be her first big live concert since
her diagnosis of stiff person syndrome.By the way, sounds like Selene is
going to be paid around two milliondollars and they're only guaranteeing one song.
She's worth it. Pretty nice. Not only a Selene, but there's also

(22:34):
rumor Lady Ga Gay is going tobe performing as well. There are photos
that surfaced over the last couple daysof Gaga in Paris blowing kisses to fans,
and it sounds like she is intalks to do something big, whether
it's going to be for the openingceremony or something throughout the week. We
don't know yet. As for thefinal big announcement, UH crapper and actor

(23:00):
Snoop Dog is going to be oneof the final torch bearers of the Olympic
plane. Wait, yeah, you'regonna get with Snoop dogg George Bear,
come on, no hanging fruit. There you go, you got it.
In I head of the opening ceremonyin Paris on Friday, Snoop will carry
the torch through the famed neighborhood ofSane the Lee, According to the town's

(23:26):
mayor. He said he is reallyexcited, of course, in Paris anyway,
because he is going to be partof that regularly scheduled list of guests
who is going to be doing abunch of commentary throughout the two weeks.
He posted a photo of himself yesterdayon X writing you ready Paris twenty twenty
four Olympics. You dug all ofyour celeib Scoop at West Michigan Star dot

(23:48):
com seven, good morning to you. It's Mack and Schmiddy and let's throw
down. It's Battle of the Sexiesttime with your opportunity to get to Ringling
Brothers in Barnum and Bailey, TheGreatest Show on Earth is coming to Van
Andalreena this October. We'd love getyou and the kids in for the fun,
but we need the number one answertoday's battle question. One hundred men

(24:08):
surveyed. Besides a bank, wheredo you keep your money? Mm?
Buried in jars in my yard witha very detailed map that will now steer
me wrong. Straight up. Mygrandparents kept it under the mattress, and
when they passed, the amount ofmoney we found hidden around that house.
The Great Depression gave people a realsketch feel about banks. Apparently six one,

(24:29):
six, four, five, eight, one oh five seven. Hopefully
it's not. Don't do it underyour mattress. That's on a good look.
Please make some interest. One hundredmen surveyed Besides a bank, where
do people keep money? Looking forthat number one answer? Caller seven first
shots and you're headed to the RinglingBrothers and Barnum and Bailey Greatest Show on
Earth with star winner five seven Agood Lauren Star. Who's this is Emily?

(24:52):
Emily? Where are you calling fromtoday? I'm calling I'm going rapids,
Emily. Let's see if we canget you these tickets for the Ringling
Brothers, environment b for you andthe family. All you gotta do is
tell me. When one hundred guyswere asked to name a place where people
keep money besides a bank, whatdo you think their top answer was there?
Yeah, one hundred guys asked thequestion, I'm gonna say, h

(25:14):
ooh, sock drawer. Uh,you know what, that is definitely a
good spot for cash. And yousee a lot of people if you roll
them up inside of your socks andit just looks like another, you know,
one of your dirty holy pairs ofsocks, it's a pretty good hiding
spot because nobody wants to touch those. But sadly, Emily not on the
list. I'm sorry, all right, thank you, thank you, high
star. Who's this? Mark?Mark? Where you come from today?

(25:37):
Man? Option? All right?Mark? One hundred guys were asked to
name a place where people keep moneybesides a bank, and Emily just gave
me a good guest. You saidthe sock drawer, but that was not
on the list. Mark, andagain, I'm just gonna give you the
hit. One hundred guys were askedthis question, Mark, what do you
think The top answer is the wallet? In a wallet. Yeah, you

(25:59):
know, so if you're not keepingyour cash in a bank, it's probably
because you got it sitting as closeto you as humanly possible. Then you
definitely can't lose it while it's thetop answer mark. Congratulations, man,
oh what awesome. Yeah, yougo to Wringling Brothers in Barnum and Bailey.
Congrats. Awesome, awesome. Yep, we'll do it again tomorrow.
More chances to win every day whenwe battle Battle of the Sexes here on
star Winar five point seven. Goodmorning to you. It's Mack and Schmidty.

(26:26):
And as you're out of the roadsright now, and perhaps you're feeling
it at this very moment, wehave some of apparently Schmidty the riskiest drivers
in the entire country. I don'teven think we need to say apparently.
It's front centers. I feel likescientifically yes. Okay. So they just
put out this big list of theone hundred biggest cities and where they rank
in terms of the riskiest drivers, and they're based it on basically speeding,

(26:48):
hard breaking and people doing distracted driving, having your cell phone, all that
kind of stuff on there. GrandRapids, the eighth worst city in the
country. Out of one hundred,we come in at number eight right there,
and SCHMITTI do you think that weare being called out unfairly here?
Do you think that we really dohave some of the worst drivers. And
here's a way to look at it. Detroit was better than us by a

(27:12):
lot by well, like they werelisted. I think at like fifteen,
you're right, you're ight so.But I mean when people think about driving
on the east side versus west side, which I think is a very real
thing in Michigan, I have alwaysthought speed wise, I think Detroit is
scarier than here. I mean, biog bull are whipping like one hundred and
fifty when you hit that ninety sixright after the four ninety six enterchange,

(27:33):
and that's where the speed limit issixty, so it's even worse there.
I think we are absolutely worst driverson the west side of the state.
So the part that got to mewas I put this up on Facebook and
people went off on how terrible ourdrivers are here in West Michigan. Schmitty.
The thing that I saw over andover again is the thing I noticed
the most, and that is tailgating. People being right up on your bumper

(27:55):
in all of these places, andthere's no place worse than the Eskerve for
it, right, I mean, that's got to be the worst place where
somebody can be running to make peoplemad. Okay, how fast are you
going? If someone is tailgating you? How fast am I going? Well,
I'm never going below the speed limit. You know that about me,
So I understand when people like Ido not right. Tailgating is a problem,
especially in the winter. You're goingforty five in the S Curve,

(28:18):
right, there's there's back roads, honey, right, back roads. Okay,
So there's the question then, becauseyou just said it the winter,
you're if you're in going forty fiveon the S Curve in the winter winter,
and because you think that's the speedthat's safe. But the guy behind
you is in that big truck whothinks he can go seventy through that area
because he's going to get my finger. Absolutely, I've got a much worse
one, I think. And itdrives me nuts because it's the sense of

(28:41):
entitlement. People stop in the middleof a road because they're not sure where
to go. Oh, that isa classic move. I can't like if
you are going on Ionia and yourealize that the far left lane will take
you left on to Michigan, thenext left puts you onto eastbound ninety six,
and the right lane puts you onwestbound. Do not just stop and
block traffic while you get out yourGoogle Maps and figure out which way you're

(29:04):
supposed to go. Nobody has timefor your choose your own adventure story while
you're just sitting. Get up tothe College intersection, realize you're not in
the correct lane, and full stopand wait for traffic to clear so the
rest of us miss our late goup to the next light and back track
your way around. I cannot standhow inconsider it that is. Apparently we're

(29:25):
doing it wrong here West Michigan.I would have thought that we had some
amazing drivers, just based on thefact that we have so many different road
conditions that hit us left and right. Apparently that's just making us even worse.
People are going off on our Facebookpage right now. You can check
it out. Ask West Michigan stuff. Stop on a five points seven.
Macka Schmitty always here to get youfeeling good sometime, because I get a

(29:49):
good feeling. This is incredible. So of course, the Olympics kick off
on Friday in Paris. But rightnow I'm back in field. Amongst other
sports are holding their qualifiers for Paralympicsand Track and Field Star the Meta.
I am Becku just qualified for herthird Paralympics after an unbelievable performance in the

(30:12):
one hundred meter dash. What makesthis even more incredible girlfriend just gave birth
six months ago. Listen to themoment she finishes this race and talks about
what this means to her. Ijust had a baby six months ago.
Everybody was telling me to take theyear off to be able to come out
here and be the national champion onceagain. I'm just I'm just so proud

(30:37):
of myself. I'm just so proudof myself, she added to the Team
USA broadcast crew. I can't evenput it into words. It's like I
knew I could do it, butto actually do it, I can't even
describe this feeling. And I amso excited to watch all the moms that
are going to be competing in theOlympics and Paralympics because quite a few of
them have literally had children within thelast year. It's wild to think about.

(31:00):
I mean, I just think ofmy own wife's experience and you know,
still breastfeeding during that time period, that entire time leading up to it,
if she could, Oh yeah, definitely not feeling like she was back
into her pre baby body or anythinglike that. You are going to see
these women absolutely dominating. So credible. That's amazing. Alright, Schmitty,
this is just really cool. Wetalked about it. Actually it was announced

(31:22):
by Ken Jennings a while back, but as if Monday, it is official.
You might receive a letter in themail, SCHMITTI maybe you'll even put
one of these stamps right on oneof your own parcels that are going out
there. But there will be ablueboard game with the categories Entertainment, game
show hosts, Famous alex Is andforever stamps, And of course there's only
one correct answer, Alex tri Back. Excuse me? What was I thinking,

(31:48):
Smitty? Who is Alex Trebeck?I'll finally got a stamp. He
finally got his own stamp. Asof Monday, there's a new stamp honorary
the legendary Alex Trebek. That wouldhave been his eighty fourth birthday on Monday,
Schmidty. Of course, he passedaway from patriotic cancer back in twenty
twenty, but a beloved, belovedperson of course throughout entertainment and as a

(32:10):
humanitarian as well. So just socool to see the US Postal Service put
out a stamp for Alex True Damncollectors. I love it, Yeah,
big time. It's fourteen sixty fora book of twenty. By the way,
if you want to go check thoseout, I'll put the link up
West Michigan Star dot com. Andof course we're always here to tell you
about something great going on out there. Hang with us as we do it
again for you tomorrow, six fortyfive and nine twenty Every weekday here on
